So as we get ready to wrap up another month, listen to this. The highest prices ever paid for five weight steers have been concentrated in just a few weeks with eight of the top 10 sales recorded in September of this year. The all time leader came on September 4th at Enid, Oklahoma where ten head of five thirty weight steers sold for five forty. That's 2,862 bucks ahead. Now that was followed by Joplin, Missouri. They had a group of steers sold for 525. Palmyra, Missouri came in at five hundred and eighteen. Other barns posting record setting sales this month include Dunlap, Iowa, Cherokee, Oklahoma, LaCrosse, Kansas and most recently Elgin, Nebraska at 512 on September 22nd. The oldest sale among the top 10 dates back to August 26th in Palmyra, Missouri were 17 head of 503 weight steers sold for 518 cementing its place in the all time rankings. Now what does the best day in 7 weight history look like? That was back on August 26th when 7 weight steers posted a national weighted average of 387.92. That was the highest in history. Beaver county and Beaver, Oklahoma came into the top of the pack with 54 head of 7:14 weight steers coming in at 4:11. Who else was in the running for the highest paid seven weights? Well Fredonia, Kansas, Messina, Iowa City, St. Mary's Kansas, Welch, Oklahoma and Lexington, Kentucky. And that is your ranch.
