The Men's War Games team advantage has been set with Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar on Monday Night Raw. But which team is actually a cohesive unit? A monster altercation with the women's War Games match. Rhea Ripley is going to be on the show, the John Cena Tournament continues and Dominic Mysterio has a confrontation with a very, very small John Cena. This is the Raw recap of WWE and Fanatics original production. Megan Megan the last Monday Night Raw before War Games, before Survivor Series this Saturday and so much to go over. I mean, you know it's a big Raw when Roman Reigns is on Raw. You know it's a big Raw when Brock Lesnar is on Raw, when CM Punk is on Raw, when Cody Rhodes is on Raw, when Becky lynch when Rhea Ripley. It goes on and on and on and on. But that's what happens during War Game season. And I think that tonight it was really, really clear that the road to War Games has accelerated as the event has gotten closer and closer to the point where we we've reached the point of no return when it comes to the build for both War Games matches.

She was trying to get me burnout today so people were gonna show up to work. I'm glad that you're here because otherwise I'd have to do the show by myself, so.

And we know you couldn't handle that. Listen, I have days I'm allowed to take them. It was very convenient though. It was one of those like when somebody gets in trouble and they're like, no, this is a pre planned vacation.

Yeah, sure, yeah, okay.

Okay. Yeah, listen, before we get there, we have a lot to talk about with that women's War Games team. Specifically a certain team captain that was extremely vocal tonight, but that should be no surprise to anybody. Roman Reigns, though, is the gentleman that started and ended Monday Night Raw. A nice bookended show. I love a book ended Monday Night Raw show. Roman Reigns comes out and all he's able to utter is acknowledge me before Cody Rhodes shows up. And I mean you, you forget sometimes that, that like there is something so special that. But. And that's why this War Games match is so insane. Because there was something so special about seeing all different pairings of everybody in this match. But seeing Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns in the ring together made you go, oh yeah, that's right. WrestleMania 39, WrestleMania 40. One of the most epic sort of rivalries, epic confrontations that we've ever seen. And we see these two men, these two behemoths of the industry face to face again. I thought it was remarkable.

It was wild watching Cody make his entrance, the music hitting, and you just took a trip down memory lane thinking about Cody returning to wwe. Cody and missing out on a year. Cody winning the Royal Rumble, Cody going to LA and ultimately losing to Roman Reigns, all to build himself up once again and to that main event match at WrestleMania 40. And here we are. And so much has changed, but yet so much has, has really stayed the same.

Still is right.

Megan Morant
These two men are in the ring. And something really stood out to me when Cody and Roman were staring each other down, mics and hands, and Roman said, I don't like you, but we don't even really know each other that well.

Sam Roberts
Yeah, and they've talked about that in documentaries before. You know, just when you think that you're, you're just watching storytelling. Cody has talked about that in documentaries, how they haven't, they don't hang out, they don't have conversations. They didn't have conversations leading to their WrestleMania matches. I'm sure they're not having conversations leading to this War Games match. They lead two completely separate lives. And I think when you watch Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns in a WWE ring, they strike me as two people who have two very different philosophies of what the top guy is. I don't think it's any coincidence that Cody is QB1 and Roman Reigns is OTC1. I think they are fiercely competitive with one another over who is the top guy. I think both of them view themselves and want to be the top guy. The John Cena, the Hulk Hogan, the Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the top guy. But I think they both have a different idea of what that is. And whether you look at them and you see it aesthetically, whether it's the way they carry themselves, whether it's the way they talk to the audience, whether it's the way they talk to the other members of their roster, it's just two different psychologies on pro wrestling together. But that's one of the wonderful things about pro wrestling. And all of that, I think, occurs to me when I see Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns in the ring together. And I love, though, that Cody Rhodes brought it all, because that's such a big concept, right? Just like everything you described. That's so big, what you described. Thinking about all of that as you see these two guys. But that's not why those two guys are in the ring. Those two guys are in the ring because on Saturday, we'd like you to watch a show called Survivor Series War Games. And this match that's going to take place, these two rings surrounded by steel, in which five of the top WWE Superstars of all time will take on five of the top WWE Superstars of all time. And Cody asked the question that we need to know in order to care about this match, which is, why are you in it? What do you have in this?

What's in it for you?

Sam Roberts
What's in it for you? And I love, you know, because Cody had this great. He grabbed just, just this, this, this almost poetic on Friday. On Friday, it was amazing standing on top of that table and it's like, yeah, that's why you're Cody Rhodes. That moment right over every member of the team and addressing Paul Heyman right to his face and then establishing War Games as his birthright. The match, of course, that was invented by his dad, Dusty Rhodes, and Roman Reigns kind of, you know, brought that to the table, it being Cody's birthright. But he said, but, but I'm the one that's been going to war, and it might be your birthright, but this is my family that's in this thing. And that's the one thing that Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes have in common. That they take their families more seriously than anything else in life. And Roman Reigns basically brings forward, number one, that he's got an investment in his family. And that's how he referred to it. The investment that he's made in Jimmy and Jey uso.

He wants to see it through.

Sam Roberts
He plans on seeing it through. But the other thing that he brought forward was that he hates Paul Heyman and he hates the vision. And it's really interesting, right, because then CM Punk interrupts and CM Punk joins Cody and Roman Reigns. And CM Punk is a little more kind of jovial about the whole thing. He's having fun. Roman was having no fun.

No. And Cody was very serious.

And Cody was serious.

Hard hitting questions for Roman Reigns.

I thought. I thought Cody was. There was a. There was an underlying tension, right. With Cody. CM Punk, like, CM Punk was thought was kind of being cute about it. And Cody, it didn't seem like it was being cute at all.

Megan Morant
No. And even when CM Punk comes out and says, you know, it's a great day to be alive in Oklahoma City, you know, and felt like he was. He was there to kind of have fun. Have fun.

Sam Roberts
Yeah.

And it was. It was poking a little bit right at the seriousness.

Sam Roberts
Whereas Roman and Cody are like, no, not for us. No, not for us. And however Punk turned it around quickly, I mean, when, when, when Roman Reigns, Punk was like, I saved your life. And Roman Reigns like, yeah, and then you ruined my life. Can you imagine Roman Reigns looking at you and being like, here's what I think of you. I think you ruined my life. And you're like, oh, my God, like, I'm really on this guy's bad list. This is horrible news.

And it's so interesting to me that Roman blames CM Punk for ruining his life and for taking his wise man.

Sam Roberts
Yeah. Why do you think that's interesting?

Megan Morant
Because Seth Rollins ultimately is the one who took the wise man.

Sam Roberts
Okay. But, you know, and again, I bring this all back to, like, relationships and love, because that's what we're talking about, Right? So let's go into your dating life. Right?

Megan Morant
Mine?

Sam Roberts
No, not yours. Specific ones, I should say ones. We don't need to get HR in here. Let's go into ones dating. By the way, I hope your dating life is over. You're a married woman, for God's sake. But let's get into, let's get into one's dating. I mean, you're a mother. I mean, for crying out loud, let's get in to one's dating life. And, and, and maybe when one loses a partner, right. Are you. If you witness that partner with somebody that you know they don't have the same connection with that they had with you, it probably doesn't bother you. Even though you're not with them anymore, you're not really jealous of that connection. It's like, oh, whatever.

Like, they don't have what we had.

No. And they're doing what they got to do. That's not going to last.

So that's how Roman views Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins. But, but CM Punk might even have a closer relationship with Paul Heyman.

Sam Roberts
You don't have to worry. I mean, Biz Markey did a whole song about it. Hey, Paul Heyman, you said he's just a friend. You said he's just a friend. You see what I'm saying? Like, it goes very, very deep here. Very, very deep. And it's not meant to be taken literally. Yeah, but you understand how emotions were and how, like, you know, it doesn't seem like Roman Reigns loves a lot of people. Just like what Cody Rhodes was saying, they lead these separate lives. Roman Reigns loves his family, and he invited Paul Heyman into his family. And I think that's why he knows I believe that he believes that CM Punk is the one not only who has that relationship with Paul Heyman. So that is something to be upset about, but also cracked the foundation that made it possible for Seth Rollins to get in.

Yeah. And Roman's life has never been the same since then.

Sam Roberts
It hasn't been the same. Now, look, I don't think you can blame other people for where you're at in life. Ultimately, people make their own choices. It's up to you. But, but now, now, now we're getting too deep for the Raw recap. I did find that very, very interesting, though. You know, I also found it interesting that when Punk took in that information, he looked at Cody and he said, by the way, who made this your team? You know what I'm saying? Like, we. And we saw that. We saw that when this team started being built, it was on Monday Night Raw and it was Punk with Cody and Jay. Then all of a sudden, Cody kind of takes ownership of the team and the graphic comes out and we all know how important it is to discuss the graphic.

It is important above all else.

And Cody is front and center of that graphic.

Depending on the news of the day, everything can get discussed.

Cody is the guy. And Cody said, well, then, welcome to my team. Roman. I love Roman strategy in all of this, where he's like, I'm here to look out for my family. Y' all to need to decide who's in charge of this team because it's not me. And on his way out, just kind of not making full eye contact and saying that title would look a lot better on my shoulder.

Megan Morant
Now, immediately when he said that, who did you think he was talking to?

Sam Roberts
I immediately thought, roman's up to his old tricks. But that's because I'm like a 301 student of the ways of the tribal chief.

Megan Morant
Well, because both of them immediately said, who are you talking.
- [13:50]
Sam Roberts
Who did you think he was talking.
- [13:51]
Megan Morant
To when he first said it? I thought CM Punk.

You did?

I did, yeah.

And why is that, you think? Because he hates CM Punk, that's why.

Megan Morant
However, interesting, because I got text on my phone, oh, my God, Cody. Cody. Roman 3 would be so amazing. And so I think it's interesting that my initial takeaway was, oh, he's talking to Punk. But there was a lot of people, ooh, Cody, Cody. Which is exactly. Because Roman is up to his old tricks.

Sam Roberts
But, yeah, and you know, you know, Roman knows what he's doing. Of course he left the ring and they asked him foolishly, who are you talking about? I mean, come on, dude, don't give him that kind of power. And he. Oh, he takes it all in. Tribal chief is doing tribal chief things. You, you, you guys figure that out on your own and walks off. You know why Roman doesn't have to argue over who's the captain of the team?

Megan Morant
Because he's there for his family.

Sam Roberts
No, because that's what he says. But at what point? On Monday night Raw tonight, when Roman reigns was on the screen, was there any moment where you felt like Roman wasn't the one in control?

Megan Morant
No, Roman was the captain. He doesn't need to wear the C on his jersey. No, but everybody knows his position and.

Sam Roberts
He'S comfortable with that. And he's very, very, very confident.

Megan Morant
He doesn't need to be voted as captain.
- [15:05]
Sam Roberts
To the point. Exactly. Right. He just is to the point where, like. And then. And then, by the way. But he won't. But he won't. He goes, you know, what do I need to be named captain for? And take on all those problems to the point where they're trying to figure out who is going to be the tag team that is facing off for the advantage in War Games. And while the USO's are arguing with Cody and with Punk, Roman goes, you guys figure this out. Which one of you two is the captain?

And walks off. I mean, brilliant. Genius. Now we get to the end of Monday Night Raw and we see the USO's back together. And you know how much I love that. And the USO's on the same page. This is what I've been waiting for. Like seeing these two in this, Jimmy and Jay in the position that they're in now finally lined up with each other.

Megan Morant
And this is the first time in a long time that we've seen that and I think the first time that Roman Reigns has been around that we've seen Roman not getting in, Jay said. And not getting in, Jimmy said.

Sam Roberts
Because it didn't start until Roman left because Jay didn't have somebody talking into his ear. So we'll see if it can continue or if Jay how Jay would respond if Roman even tried to get in his ear. Logan Paul versus Drew McIntyre. Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre was the team that the Usos face so funny.

Seeing Logan learn that he was in the match.

Sam Roberts
Yeah. I mean, by the way, there's no doubt who's in control if Brock Lesnar's not around. Paul Heyman is in control. Brock Lesnar is around. As is the case with any scenario, Brock Lesnar is in control. He is an asset to this War Games team. But yeah, yeah, Paul Heyman is the one calling the shots. No, no. Yep.

Yes. And also the fact he's got to tell Drew McIntyre, please, I beg of you.

Sam Roberts
Yeah. Don't make any mistakes. You're not supposed to be here. But by the way, I think that Drew and Logan had some pretty incredible chemistry. Like they are a good team.

Megan Morant
Yeah.

Sam Roberts
And we saw it all at one point. The Bronson showed up. Cody and Punk showed up to take them on. We saw that team camaraderie. But ultimately Logan Paul was able and this was lost in the sauce a little bit. But Logan Paul rolled up Jimmy USO and pinned him. Paul Heyman's team of the Vision has the War Games advantage. And that means that when the War Game starts with two people in that double cage, that five minutes in the buzzer's going to go off and another member of Hayman's team is going to go in there. And that means one member of of the Cody Rhodes slash CM Punk team is going to be in a Two on one scenario and then they'll be in a three on two scenario and then they'll be in a four on three and a five on four until these things get evened out. But that makes a huge difference, especially.

When you're talking about someone like Brock.

Lesnar or Braun Breaker or Bronson reed or Drew McIntyre.

Tsunamis. Bronson Reed could hit while their team has the advantage.

Sam Roberts
I mean, if you talk, I mean, and that could be the strategy, right? If you've got a two on one and you're in there with, you know, who knows, it could even be, I mean, if you're in there, let's say with Cody Rhodes to start and you have Bronson Reed and Braun Breaker beating up Cody Rhodes for seven minutes, it's five plus, I think it's two or three, five, seven to eight minutes. That's massive. That basically takes Cody Rhodes out of that match.

That's it.

So what do you do? Do you send in your. If you're, if you're on team Cody Punk, do you send in your strongest guy to try to fend off the advantage or do you save your strongest guy and sacrifice somebody?

And then you send in Roman Reigns. And Roman Reigns has already been put on a stretcher by Bronson Reed, by the way.

I'd love to watch anybody send in Roman Reigns. That's not happen.

No, Roman sending himself in.

Roman will go when he chooses. You've seen, remember Roman and CM Punk at the last war games.

Yeah. When he was going and again, so did Punk. It's going to get very, very interesting.

I'm going to need an immediate shoe scouting report on the tribal chief.

Well, I mean, again, he showed up in. I think he was wearing sevens tonight, if I'm not mistaken. He was wearing, I mean, they weren't last week's shoes, but they were still nice shoes. I don't think Roman's worried about it anymore. I think it's a different Roman.

Of course.

This is a very different Roman. This is like, this is like a Roman who's realizing. I think, I think Roman looked at his calendar and he realized we're wrapping up this year. That means the beginning of next year is coming. That means, you know, you got war games. You got, you know, then it's just December until you start inching towards the Royal Rumble, inching towards elimination chamber, towards Wrestlemania. I think Roman knows, okay, it's time. It's time for the. It's time for the, for the postseason.

You pointed this out last week. This is the Roman that we've really been waiting to see.

Sam Roberts
Yeah, unfortunately, the Roman that we've been waiting to see now gets confronted by the Beast. Brock Lesnar is back. And you talk about, and we talked about this last week too, at Madison Square Garden, which was, by the way, such an awesome Raw recap. But you talk about like that magic between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. Brock Lesnar versus Roman Reigns met for the first time at WrestleMania 31. I want to say that was the first time they wrestled 10 years ago. And it's all that. It just the feeling of those two in the ring together has only gotten bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger. I can only imagine what it's going to look like in War Games. It's going to be incredible. We will be previewing later this week Survivor Series War Games. So we will have a, under the Raw recap banner, a Survivor Series preview show that goes up and then of course a Survivor Series recap show. We're also. Rhea Ripley is going to be on the show in just a minute. But Megan, speaking of winners, we don't know who's going to win the women's War Games match. However, one person looked pretty bloody dominant tonight on Monday Night Raw and I believe she is our guest here tonight. Coming to us now fresh off of a, of, of a, of a, of a talking segment that ended in absolute pandemonium. Ria Bloody Ripley, days removed from War Games. What goes on in your head as you get yourself ready for what is the most physical, brutal, for lack of a better term match that there is in wwe?

Rhea Ripley
Just mental preparation for it all. Obviously, like you just said, it is one of the most brutal matches that you could have here in the wwe. So I just need to mentally prepare and mentally get my team prepared as well. Because look, we have myself, we have IO, we have Alexa, we have Charlotte, and we've all been inside of a War Games before. But then we have AJ Lee. She's just come back and I just need to make sure that she's fully prepared for what is going to happen and what she's stepping into. It's a, it's a dangerous match and we just need to make sure that not only our body is prepared, but our mind is prepared as well.

This match is like so crazy star studded and you know, evidence of that was in the ring tonight. When you look in that ring and you have, I mean, two generations, if not three worth of, of female talent and the best maybe that the industry has seen and you grab the mic and you don't say a word, but the second you have that microphone in your hand, the crowd goes absolutely nuts. In that moment, do you look around, realize who you're in there with, and then realize you're the one that people want to hear from?

Rhea Ripley
It's wild to think of it like that, to be completely honest. And like, yeah, I did. I did look around. But now that you say that, it is clicking a little bit more because they did erupt when I did grab the microphone. But at the same time, I don't know if they're erupting because I'm about to speak or they know that I'm just unpredictable and anything could happen. The crowd seems smarter than the team that we were in there with, actually, because they were ready for anything. And Nia Jax definitely wasn't ready for a microphone phone to the face.

But who is really, Rio? You were just talking about how you have to make sure that AJ Lee is ready for War Games because she's never been in a War Games match before. We saw you last week on Raw asking AJ For a minute to talk to her. What made you want to go after AJ Lee for your War Games team?

Rhea Ripley
Growing up, I watched AJ Lee. I loved watching AJ Lee. She was one of my favorites, for sure. I thought she was amazing at what she did, especially for the size that she is. She's scrappy. She doesn't give up, and I like that fire inside of her that I know she has. And seeing her come back and tag with her husband, CM Punk, against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, I could see that fire was still there. So I knew that we needed a fifth member. I know that I need someone that can hang in this kind of match, and everything that I've seen her accomplish throughout her run in the WWE before, when I was growing up, she accomplished so much, and she really wasn't set up to accomplish that much. But she fought and she scratched and she clawed and she was determined, and she got to the point that she got to. And that's. That's what I want to see, and I know that it's there, and that's why I want her on my team. I want. I want that scrappy, I want that fight. I want people to second guess her because of her size and then realize that she is a lot tougher than what. What they think she is. She's unpredictable, and I love that.

Sam Roberts
What is the atmosphere like with all of you? What. What is the feeling? Because I'm sure that at this point in your Career, you feel like you are the number one person in the WWE women's division. I'm also pretty sure that that's how Charlotte feels. I'm also pretty sure that AJ Lee did not come back to not be the number one woman in the women's division. And so on and so on. Every time I turn on the Internet, somebody's talking about how Iyo is the best women's wrestler on the planet, period. What? How does that competition that has to exist amongst you guys kind of show itself when you get ready for a match like this?

Rhea Ripley
I think everyone in this women's division thinks that they are the best at what they do, like you just said. And it's not only just my team, it's our opposing team as well. The difference is our opposing team, as you've seen tonight, they might not be on the same page with everything. They might still be taking jabs at each other and not trusting each other. Where our team, the only people that didn't fully trust each other was me and Charlotte. And for now, we have settled our problems. We know that when I first came to raw, I wanted to prove myself and I wanted to be the best. And I had always looked up to someone like Charlotte Flair and I knew that she was one of the top dogs, if not the top dog. So I took a leap and it was like a sink or swim situation. And obviously, Charlotte being Charlotte, she fought back. So that's where our beef pretty much started. And that's the whole reason that we had beef, was because we wanted to be the best and we wanted to prove to everyone, not just ourselves and each other, but everyone, that we were the best. But right now, we've discussed strategy, we have talked it out, and we are on the same page. And that's a really dangerous combination for the other team. So I think that going into this, yes, we do all still think that we are the best, but we are also willing to put our egos aside for the common denominator here, and that is to win War Games and beat the other team. And I think that's why we have the advantage.

You talk about dangerous situations and I. I mean, you can't overlook the powerhouses on the other side of the ring in Nia, Jax and Lash, Legend and Lash. I mean, she's made a statement ever since she came up to main roster. When you're going up against opponents like Nia and Lash, what kind of threat does that pose to. To. To your War Games team?

I mean, it shows for itself. They're forces to be reckoned with and we're going to have to be careful with what we do with them and be very strategic with what we do and how we think. I've had many run ins with Nia Jax in the past, and I feel like I know her pretty well these days. So we're all going to have to come together and just strategize. Then there's Lash Legend. She's new and she's someone that we don't really know right now, so that's a little bit worrying in the back of my head. But at the same time, I also know how it feels to be in her situation and be the new person. Like I just said, you are trying to prove that you are the best and sometimes that just doesn't work out in a team setting. So she can be all buddy buddy with Nia Jax right now, but I don't know where their alliance lies since it is built on them hating each other, which could be an advantage for us.

What do you think it is about Charlotte Flair that you are kind of cosmically connected to in terms of career? Because you're right. I mean, when you think about this rivalry that you guys have had and the story that you guys have had, it's really the story of your entire main roster career. I mean, coming up and thinking that this is now my time, I've done what I'm going to do in nxt. Now it's time to just dominate on the main roster. And maybe it wasn't quite time for that yet. Maybe Charlotte was the one to remind you of that. Then when it is time, Charlotte is still the one a couple of years later that you have to get through. And now that you're both at this place where you are two of the top stars in wwe, regardless of gender or any other qualification, you still end up in the same match together on the same show. What is that link?

You know, I've been asking myself that question as well, and it's hard to pinpoint exactly what that link is because I was just an upbeat upstart just wanting to make a name for herself and take down the best. But I was obviously it just wasn't my time and Charlotte reminded me that it wasn't my time. And then I tried again and she put me back in my place. But each time that she put me back in my place, I kind of learned. Well, I didn't learn a little bit. I learned a lot from her, actually, and that got me to the point when we met again at WrestleMania 39. And then I finally proved to her that I had been learning throughout those years and I had been putting that into play. So I feel like for us, the strive to be the best and want to prove ourselves and not just make a little bit of history, but make all the history and make a full name for yourself where your legacy is set in the lights here in the wwe. I feel like that's what makes us so similar. She wanted to achieve so much greatness and kind of make a name for herself away from the Flair name, away from her father. Where me, I didn't have a family member here, but I was striving a little girl from Adelaide, South Australia. I wanted to make it here. I wanted to make a name for myself. I wanted the name Rhea Ripley to live on within the WWE forever. I think just that drive and that passion and that determination to make a name for yourself is what makes Charlotte and I so similar in a way.

No, it makes perfect sense. And there are a lot of ways to get that goal that you're describing, that goal to be the best, that goal to like make a dent in the industry that you're in. And one of those ways is in the ring. And another way is by monopolizing and dominating the conversation. And I think that Becky lynch has figured out a way that no matter what is going on, that the world is going to talk about what she's doing. She's been doing it all over social media. She, I mean you, you said it yourself. But the whole promo building up the War Games team that's opposing you was just Becky lynch talking and then Becky lynch talking about everybody else on the team. And it works. I mean, when you're not talking about what Becky lynch is doing on the show, you're talking about what Becky lynch is doing on Twitter and Instagram. Is there a part of you that when you see that part of it, cuz that's a part of the business as well, that you go, oh no, I need to get louder on social media because Becky lynch is sucking up all the attention in the room.

Look, Becky's a talker, she is a yapper, she's a barker. Right where I'm a fighter, that's what I do. Social media is social media. But at the end of the day, it is such a small group of individuals that believe in that hype. And at the end of the day, they can fight back on Twitter and they can fight back on Instagram and they can make videos and they can do all this social Media bull crap. But at the end of the day, when you step in the ring, what are they going to do? They're going to talk or they're going to fight? I'm here to fight. We're stepping into War Games. You can't talk your way out of this. You can't yap your way out of this. AJ said it best. She's a little Chihuahua. She's a small dog that has a loud bark. And, yes, she can get scrappy sometimes, and she's strategic and. And she can definitely work her way out of situations, but she's not working her way out of War Games. Because if you work your way out of War Games, you're disqualified. You lose, your team loses. So you can run if you want and continue yapping. But at the end of the day, my team, we're all fighters, so we're here to fight.

And she I guess didn't like what I was covering, which a lot of listeners, sometimes they like it, sometimes they don't like. In this case, Becky lynch did not like. She called for my firing because I was not talking about her is what the problem was.

I think Lash Legend as shown up with a different edge to her. And I don't know if it's just because Nia Jax has been by her side. I don't know if it's this, this, this confidence in her strength that she possesses and her background and athleticism, but Lash Legend has come here and made a statement. And I think that's going to continue in San Diego.

I would agree with. I think it's a different Lash Legend. I think it's a Lash Legend that's a little less wide eyed, you know what I mean? A Lash Legend that is ready to step up. And luckily for her, she's watched many women come up from NXT and see what works. And what works is when you stake your claim. And that's for men and women, you know, whoever you are in professional wrestling, when you go up and you stake your claim and you don't blink, don't, you know, don't show an ounce of doubt and just take it. Those are the people. Those are the people that get it. Those are the people that can convince the audience that it belongs to them. And if you can convince the audience that it belongs to you, then by God, it belongs to you, doesn't it?

Now, are you worried about A.J. lee at all? First time in a War Games match.

I mean, it's a wild thing, right? Not only is it AJ Lee's first time in a War Games match, it's her second match in a decade, and the first match was the mixed tag. I mean, listen, I think that AJ Lee, more so than maybe anybody is aware of the level of. Of athlete that she's entering that cage with. I think that A.J. lee, maybe more so than anybody, is aware to your point from earlier, even though it was ridiculously stated, it still remains a. A valid point that. That wrestling has changed a lot. And it is in the way that AJ and people like AJ dreamed that it would change. But now it's time to step up to that level of play. Right? And I think that AJ knows that, and I don't think somebody like AJ Lee comes back to the WWE because I think it was far from a guarantee that she would be back. I think there is a very definite version of this universe where AJ Lee is just happy with her career, went out on her own terms, and has, by the way, a ton of different stuff going on outside of the world of wrestling. She doesn't have to come back, and I don't think she's coming back unless she's ready to be back and understanding. And I think that much like at Wrestlepalooza, I think AJ Lee is going to be the dark horse. I think AJ Lee is going to be the one that surprises everybody. Even though everybody's so excited to see her. I don't know if everybody has pictured what that's going to look like. And I think watching AJ Lee in a War Games match for the first time and watching her against a lot of these women for the first time is going to be the thing that makes you go, whoa, she's back. And, you know, I mean, still has a ton left in the tank. And so I think I'm hopeful and optimistic that that's the story that we're going to see.

Somebody that a lot of people haven't been talking about is, is Oscar on this War Games team. And Oscar is someone I think we've brought up on this show. She can remind people who she is in an instant.

If I could be 100% honest, you were basically from WrestleMania all the way until, I don't know, October maybe beginning of this month. They were cheering Dominic Mysterio.

And guess what? That's happened the last two weeks in a row. Three weeks now they've. They're back to booing Dominik Mysterio to the point where he can't talk. And he's got a lot to say. He's got more to say maybe than ever because he lost his Intercontinental Championship to John Cena. Now John Cena will be defending the Intercontinental Championship against Dominic Mysterio. He was not on Raw tonight. That was announced last week. They specifically, they couldn't have made it more clear. This is definitely John Cena's last Raw. Yet somehow, when that music played. You know what the funniest part was? Not only did everybody in Oklahoma City think that John Cena was coming out, he got Test, too. Joe Test got very excited.

Yeah. Joe was like, I can't believe it.

He's here. He's here. And then it was a very small man dressed as John Cena and also a very small man dressed as Stu the camera guy.

And then also the fact that he had Stu written on the back of his shirt.

Of course it was. And then they went to the camera shot so you could see standard Stu and very. And smaller Stu with John Cena. You know, sometimes you watch this and you go, I wonder if the crew behind the scenes at WWE ever do things just to make themselves laugh. And I'm not saying that's what happened here, but I'm not saying that's not what happened here. So small Stu and small John Cena run to the ring and I mean, of all the insulting things, I don't.

Because he's all business. Stu's a legend.

But I also don't think it was. I mean, who was tracking Stu because the shot was. Little John Cena is running to the ring. Little Stu is running behind John Cena. Standard Stew is running behind Little Stu and Little John. But that meant that somebody was running behind Standard Stew to get all of this in one shot. So I'd love to know who a lot of. Was it just a massive stew behind all of them?

Rico was behind all of them. Okay. From Billy and Chuck, Different Rico. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Good, good, good, good, good, good. So, I mean, yeah. And then listen, apparently this John Cena may have started speaking in ways that Dominique Mysterio wasn't expecting. And so Dominic Mysterio unfortunately did give him an onslaught.

I mean, yeah, I would want to get in a fight with a jerk. I mean. What do you mean, a jerk? Who cares if he's a jerk? He's looking at Dominic going, I don't want to catch a frog splash. I don't want to catch a 6, 1, 9. I think Dominic's five knuckle shuffle might be better than mine.

And then broken ribs shattered because of the frog splash. And then booyah, kabuyaka comes on. What? Where were you, dude? She got beat up by your kid. Wow. That was when Dominic pattered out.

Well, listen, this Dominic John Cena match is. I mean, it is going to be legendary. You're talking about John Cena's last ple on Saturday. Survivor Series. His last Survivor Series, his last ple. He showed up a year and a half ago and said, and my next Royal Rumble be my last Royal Rumble, my next Chamber, and my next WrestleMania, my next SummerSlam would be my last SummerSlam. And he went through all of it. And then. And there were so many. He didn't even get to Survivor Series, I don't think. Yet here we are. And now we're at the point where his next ple will be his last ple. After this weekend, John Cena will have one match left and that's it.

Not even close. I'm not in touch with my emotions like that. I mean, do you have any idea the amount of adult wrestling fans that are going to be in tears on the 13th of December?

We're going to need to start a support group. Okay? And we booed him. That's the irony of all of it. All of us that booted. But you know why? When we booed John Cena, those are some of the greatest days of our lives. And I wish somebody could tell you that you're in the good old days while you're still in them. And those were the days that we were booing John Cena. And he gave it to. And he showed up for more and for more and for more and for more. And he acted as that foil to the Rock and that foil to CM Punk and that foil to Randy Orton and that foil to anybody who needed a foil. He was there for it. Bray Wyatt, everybody. And now Dominic Mysterio. And who would have thought too, that on John Cena's way out, I think I thought in my head. By the way, I've had to redo my predictions for John Cena's last year probably six times over the course of the year. And they've all been terrible. They've all been completely wrong. But even with the final four, I said, here's the final four for John Cena. Not even close, because I didn't think we were going to get another story out of John Cena.

Certainly not. I thought we were going to get four kind of one off matches and then tip of the hat, good night. We have a full on story here with John Cena and Dominik Mysterio. It's a classic good guy versus bad guy. Even people who said I want to see a John Cena Dominic Mysterio match, me being one of them, nobody thought there was going to be a story arc.

And then he wins the Intercontinental Championship, shocks us all. And now they, now we're off to the races to the point where we get a John Cena vs. Dominic match in John's hometown and a John Cena vs. Dominic match in Dominic's hometown.

And home love a classic home and home. And a sick six man tag in between. Just, just, just for what it's worth, but I can't wait to see this. I mean you, you talk about an immense platform for Dominic Mysterio to be stood upon. This is it. This is as, as, as this is the. This will be. It could be. I think John Cena's last match will be the biggest match of the year. And that's only the beginning of how big that match is going to be. But this John Cena last ple match, this is massive. Like, I don't even think that we're at the point where we're ready to really figure out how, how big this is. And this last sort of story that John Cena is telling, it's all just like so big and so important to history. And it's going to be such a moment when John Cena and Dominic Mysterio face off.

We heard Dominic say it on Raw a couple of weeks ago. He said, I'm already better than you and I'm not even at my prime. Now we know that's Dom being Dom, but I do think he's right. He's not at his prime. He's not at his peak.

But I think 10 years from now, when Dominic, I don't want to use the word arrives because I think Dominic has already arrived. But when Dominic becomes who he already is becoming, we'll look back at this story, we'll look back at Survivor Series in the match between Cena and Dominic Mysterio, and we'll go, wow. It was even more significant than we could have ever even wrapped our brains around in 2025.
