We have new WWE World Tag Team Champions. The King of the Ring finalists go face to face. The Queen of the Ring finalists go face to face. Chad Gable's Apology tour not so successful and so much more. This is the Raw recap on WWE now at WWE and Fanatics. Original production. Let's talk about it. Megan Morant, Monday Night Raw from the UK this evening.
Jay Hunter
Nice afternoon show.
Sam Roberts
What a show. What a show. Leading us into this week, of course, Night of Champions coming up this Saturday. And I've got to tell you, one of the great things about shows like this is watching the audience react to Oba Femi.
Jay Hunter
It's the best. It's the best. The silhouette during Oba's entrance passed over the audience. It's beautiful.
Sam Roberts
It's amazing. And just hearing them, like a crowd that, like Obafemi is that almost old school star.
Jay Hunter
Yeah.
Sam Roberts
You talk about Oro, you can describe it in whatever word you want to, but it's that. It's that attraction that commands that you buy a ticket just to see it, just to see what this thing is. And you can. You can feel it. You can hear it in the. In the chants. You can see it in the way people look.
Jay Hunter
Just to be a member of the audience and do the arms.
Sam Roberts
Yeah.
Jay Hunter
Just for the entrance alone.
Sam Roberts
And Oba is one of those that, like, I feel like every time an audience sees him in person for the first time, they look at him and go, like, yeah, I get it. Like, they're never going, oh, that's it. They go, that's it. This is like. Like, it's it. It defies expectation.
Jay Hunter
It's even more special than I thought.
Sam Roberts
It's amazing.
Jay Hunter
He's even bigger than I thought.
Sam Roberts
And the way he. He. He commands his space of entering that building after. After that, like, spotlight, like you said, was. Was shined upon the entire audience that were all just sitting in the shadow of the ruler, Oba Femi. And you have to be confident to pull that off.
Jay Hunter
Of course you do. And you talk about his command. Oba had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand. He had complete control over every reaction and every response to what he was saying.
Sam Roberts
And, I mean, even to the point where he's like, I'll accept it. I'll accept it. Okay, everybody calm down now. Now it's time for me to speak.
Jay Hunter
And everybody said, yes, sir.
Sam Roberts
Yes, sir, we will. We'll calm down.
Jay Hunter
Sit here and let us know when you would like us to engage once again.
Sam Roberts
And they will, and they'll be there for it.
Jay Hunter
Well, we're here.
Sam Roberts
And Oba tells a story about destiny.
Jay Hunter
Oh, destiny. She's a beaut.
Sam Roberts
She's a beaut. And she's on the side of Obafemi. And I'm glad, honestly, when Obafemi talks about destiny being on his side, it comes across as humble. And I'll tell you why. Because Obafemi is the one person who could say destiny is not on my side. But it doesn't matter, because some things are stronger than destiny. I'll destroy destiny. I'm Oba Femi. It's up to me. Now, the fact that he allows it to go like, no, I guess it's Destiny means that he's not acting as if the universe is at his fingertips.
Jay Hunter
Yeah. And if Oba did say that destiny was against him, we'd say, well, then he's going to crush, destroy, and completely rule over destiny.
Sam Roberts
That's right. He's destiny now.
Jay Hunter
That's right.
Sam Roberts
Yeah.
Jay Hunter
But I think when Oba puts it the way that he does that, you know, she's been very kind to him
Sam Roberts
and Oba is like. And he does it. He still maintains a charm, but he's able to, like, go out there and go and realistically say, I'm not even thinking, like, the King of the Ring final on Saturday. It's not a concern. It's not. It's not even worth talking about. The real question is, once I get the crown, once I am crowned King of the ring, do I go for the WWE Championship or do I go for the World Heavyweight who Championship? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it was pretty clear who the audience were looking for. But then, Jay, did that make you
Jay Hunter
shake in your boots a little bit? Because since Oba arrived, that's one thing that you've been trying to finagle your way out of. Because as much as you love Oba and as much as you love Oba with Destiny on his side, you've been shaken in your boots for the moment that Oba Femi has to go one on one with the otc.
Sam Roberts
No, I mean, scared maybe for Oba and what would happen to Oba. This is the otc. This is Roman Reigns. This is a different thing. There have been many, many, many, many, many people who think like, oh, no, no, no, don't worry, we'll get in the ring with Roman. I'm different. And they're not different.
Jay Hunter
When London was cheering for Oba to go after the World Heavyweight Champion, part of you like, nah, why don't you go after the other one later?
Sam Roberts
I mean, I don't know why it has it. There's no reason to. Rush is my thing.
Jay Hunter
Come on. Why Rush there? We'll get there.
Sam Roberts
Why Rush? We're just settling in to this reign of Roman Reigns. We're just settling in to the idea that the gold is back around the OTC's waist. When Roman Reigns is a world champion, you're not sitting there going like, oh, we're going week to week on this thing. It's time to settle in. Because it's not going anywhere for a very long time. You remember how long it was the last time?
Jay Hunter
Oh, I remember. Do you remember how many days it was 1,316 days. Beat you to it. Oh, gotcha.
Sam Roberts
Love that.
Jay Hunter
Snaps for that.
Sam Roberts
Yes, yes, yes. 1,316 days. We're settling in. Now's not the time, Oba. Now's not the time. Because I don't care who that challenger is.
Jay Hunter
I know London thought it was the time.
Sam Roberts
London thinks it's the time. Well, when you're. It's like, because you haven't had dinner yet. And then you go, who wants cake? And everybody's gonna go, yeah.
Big E
Whoa.
Sam Roberts
We haven't had dinner yet. We haven't had our dinner yet. That's all I'm saying.
Jay Hunter
Okay.
Sam Roberts
You know, we're still. We're settling in.
Jay Hunter
Whatever you need to tell yourself.
Sam Roberts
I'm not telling myself that we're settling in. We're just kind of figuring out where the bloodline is landing right now. We're figuring out where all the pieces are on the puzzle board.
Jay Hunter
And we're gonna talk about that.
Sam Roberts
We will, we will. But I don't think it's time. Now, look, if Oba decides it's time, it's time. But I don't think that everybody is in agreement with Oba in saying, okay, well, I'm just gonna win the King of the Ring tournament. So now let's just talk about what happens later. Because that's when Jey Uso's music hits and Jay USO slowly comes to the ring, enjoys himself in the crowd. And I was sitting there going like, you know, it's very interesting that usually, you know, in a classic wrestling match, you go, yay. And then the other guy, you go, boo. These are the sounds we make this one.
Jay Hunter
We go hoop and yee.
Sam Roberts
We've got the two most interactive, fun entrances in the company facing off against each other. And we saw it in the entrances tonight. But can you imagine when they're making those entrances at Night of Champions? It's going to go straight from the whole crowd. Yeets. To the whole crowd. Oba struts.
Jay Hunter
Oh, it's so.
Sam Roberts
Or vice versa.
Jay Hunter
I don't know if it's gonna come
Sam Roberts
out first or second.
Jay Hunter
What is like, what an experience.
Sam Roberts
Spectacle.
Megan Morant
Yes.
Sam Roberts
Yeah. Yeah. This is what WWE is all about.
Jay Hunter
To be in the audience and get to take part in that.
Big E
Yeah.
Jay Hunter
Amazing to see it.
Sam Roberts
And these are the two guys. I love it. So Jey USO in full crash out mode, which I love. You know this. Not only does he take his time getting down the stairs, he's doing an Oba strut as he walks to the ring. Not feeling intimidated at all. Because Jay has settled into this spot where I think that even up until Jay became the World Heavyweight champion and probably when he was the World Heavyweight Champion, there was this feeling about him like, even. I can't believe this is all happening. This is amazing. And it's not until, like, it's. Sometimes it takes time for all that dust to settle.
Megan Morant
Sure.
Sam Roberts
For everything to, like, mentally.
Jay Hunter
Sure.
Sam Roberts
Settle in. And I think Jay is now at the point because he's not the underdog anymore. He's not the little engine that could. You don't have fans going, you know, can you imagine one day Jay should be the guy? Because he's already been the guy.
Jay Hunter
Of course.
Sam Roberts
And what do they love? And this is not just wrestling. This is every. Every form of entertainment. This is everywhere. You build, you build, you build, you build just so you can tear down. It happens every time. And I think Jey uso has become aware that there are fans that at one point were on his side and now are invested in tearing him down. And he's decided to take ownership of the fact that he did this thing. He did this thing that I don't think anybody thought he was ever going to do. And he did this thing that is a very rare accomplishment. He went to WrestleMania, became the world Heavyweight Champion. So I think that he. He owns that. And there's a degree of, like, look, no matter how powerful Obafemi is, no matter who Obafemi has beaten the last six months, he's wrestling a former World Heavyweight champion in the finals of the King of the Ring. This is Jey uso.
Jay Hunter
Yes.
Sam Roberts
And I think that was the mentality that Jey uso walked in with. And he walked in with that before he said a word because he was looking around at London and they weren't done yeeting. And he's like. And Oba said, don't you dare run it back. He told him, do not run it back. Don't do it. Don't do it.
Jay Hunter
And Jay said, bet, Bet.
Sam Roberts
Run it back, Run it back. And he went for it and he ran it back. And I feel as though. And I've seen him do this La Knight. I've now seen him do it with Obafemi. This is a different J uso. Can I tell you something?
Jay Hunter
Yes. Please tell me.
Sam Roberts
There was a period of time, even up until the Royal Rumble this year, where you're going like, why is he running it back? In the Royal Rumble?
Jay Hunter
Yeah, in the Royal Rumble, I was like, this almost feels a little ridiculous.
Sam Roberts
Why is he running it back in the war Games? This is ridiculous right now. You know what Jay has done? I think he's felt that energy. He's noticed that energy.
Jay Hunter
He's flexing on the haters.
Sam Roberts
I believe he has weaponized the run it back. I believe that the run it back has officially been weaponized, and we have to look at it in a different context.
Jay Hunter
So now if you get run it back on.
Sam Roberts
Oh, it's disrespect.
Jay Hunter
Yeah.
Sam Roberts
You might as well be talking about your mama. It's disrespectful when he runs it back on you while you're standing right there. I feel like the run it back has been completely weaponized in the best way possible. And he's just doing it to be like, I've still got them. They're cheering for you. Fine. But I'm not in awe of you. I'm Jey uso. Main event. Jey uso.
Jay Hunter
And it was crazy to see because we just talked about Oba and his entrance and how he had complete control of the crowd. Well, just in a moment, that control is taken right away. And Jey uso runs it back.
Sam Roberts
That's right. That's right. And he. And it almost is that reminder of being like, hey, don't. Don't, you know, blow yourself up because this audience loves you so much. Because guess what?
Jay Hunter
They love me too.
Sam Roberts
Exactly. Exactly. In an instant, they will come and go, I'll play this music and go, like, you guys want to eat with me. They'll go, yep, you got them.
Jay Hunter
But guess what?
Sam Roberts
I got them, too.
Jay Hunter
That's right.
Sam Roberts
I got them, too. And whose side are they going to end up on? Right? So. So Jay looks at Oba in the face without blinking and tells him, like, you're looking past me. I'm gonna beat you at King of the Ring. And he says, and I guarantee that I am coming for Cody and I am coming for the undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
Jay Hunter
Well, there's a lot of layers there because Cody might not be the undisputed WWWE champion at SummerSlam. Who's to say?
Sam Roberts
Could be Sammy.
Jay Hunter
Could be.
Sam Roberts
Yes.
Jay Hunter
And we saw Jey USO interact backstage with SA on smackdown and Cody. Yes.
Sam Roberts
And I've seen Jay interact with Gunther before, of course, but again, Jay's in this different space, right? He's confident against Cody. He knows what he can do against Sammy. He really knows what he can do against Gunther. And he's sitting there going like, no, now's my time. We see him in the bloodline. We see him when he's interacting with Jacob. We see him when he's interacting with Roman. This is a guy who's embracing pulling up to Raw in his own suv. This is a guy who's embracing standing alongside the tribal chief, not below the tribal chief. And there's. To me, there's an interesting dynamic at play because then, of course, he lets Obafemi know that tonight is not the shot. Tonight's the warning shot, Bow. Okay?
Jay Hunter
And Obafemi didn't. He said, you know, you can keep your shots because you're not the member of your family that I'm worried about.
Sam Roberts
I mean, which is disrespectful. He said, you, you. You save your. He said, save your stupid bullets for. For your cousin because I'm coming for him. And number one, I go, you can't look past Jay uso. But I also go, huh? A very interesting thing when you're looking at what's in front of Jey uso. Because it's not just a matter of Jay needs to win the king of the ring so that Jake can go to SummerSlam and be the champion.
Jay Hunter
No, this has a lot to do with the dynamics within the bloodline as well. Because can you imagine, after Roman Reigns sent Jey uso to go win the King of the Ring tournament and go get his hands on the undisputed WWE Championship, the World Championship that he has not held yet, and Jay falls short, where does that leave Jacob, do you think? Jacob is sitting there, you know, falling in line.
Sam Roberts
Jacob doesn't fall short.
Jay Hunter
No.
Sam Roberts
Here's the other thing, though. This is what I realized today, okay? In this match in Jay vs Oba, Oba has pretty much said, I'm coming for Roman if I win the King of the ring. Which means that if Jay loses, not only has he not completed this thing that he said he was going to do, not only has he not lived up to the hype of him as a main event guy, but he has made Roman vulnerable. Roman is now in this position where it's like, this isn't just about you winning. You have to win to protect the family, to protect me, to protect the family. Because if Oba wins and Oba goes for Roman Reigns, the reason he's got that opportunity was because he took Jey uso down. And now Roman isn't just looking at Jay going, hey, you said you were going to win the title. You didn't even win the King of the ring. He's looking at Jay going, you're The. You paved this path for Oba.
Jay Hunter
You left me exposed.
Sam Roberts
Now I. Exactly. Now I have to go beat Oba. But the reason I have to figure out how to beat this guy that nobody can beat is because you left the door open.
Jay Hunter
And then Jacob's sitting there and he's like, I didn't lose to Oba, right.
Sam Roberts
I didn't leave that door open.
Jay Hunter
I don't acknowledge you, Jay.
Big E
Yeah.
Sam Roberts
And he'll go, jay, you know what I feel about you leaving that door open.
Jay Hunter
Ass. Ass.
Sam Roberts
That's what he'll say. And he, you know, and it's a solid argument.
Jay Hunter
And you say, jacob, did you lose to Obafemi?
Sam Roberts
Hell no, I didn't lose to Obafemi. Hell no.
Jay Hunter
You took a second there. I'm glad you.
Sam Roberts
No, no, no. You gotta picked up on it. You gotta take the pregnant pause.
Jay Hunter
Yeah, yeah.
Sam Roberts
You gotta take the pregnant.
Big E
Yeah.
Jay Hunter
I'll be a little nervous there.
Sam Roberts
I was like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. As a matter of fact, it was made clear just tonight when Jay was talking to Jacob. Jacob told Jay, I don't answer to your punk ass. I swear, that dynamic for me is everything.
Jay Hunter
It's the best.
Sam Roberts
I can't get enough of that.
Jay Hunter
No, I love this tension between Jacob and Jay. Uso.
Sam Roberts
And you know who else you know, I think loves that tension? Jimmy Roman. Jimmy does seem to be having a good time. When Jay, When Jacob said, I don't answer to your punk ass, Jay, Jimmy was smiling.
Jay Hunter
Yeah.
Sam Roberts
He's like, you saw him smiling.
Jay Hunter
I kind of like it. Got him little conflict.
Sam Roberts
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, he was smiling. But I think Roman likes it.
Jay Hunter
Well, Roman likes, you know, the competitive nature within the bloodline, I think, right?
Sam Roberts
Yes, I think so. And ultimately, you know, I mean, Roman is not a guy without an ego.
Jay Hunter
No one's getting too comfortable there.
Big E
No.
Sam Roberts
But I also think as a guy without an ego, and God bless him for, must be nice to have highly skilled cousins that at the end of the day are fighting for your affection.
Jay Hunter
You don't think Roman has an ego?
Sam Roberts
I think he doesn't have an undeserved ego.
Jay Hunter
Okay.
Sam Roberts
I think the little ego that Roman has, he's earned it and more.
Jay Hunter
I think to get where he's at, you have to have an ego.
Sam Roberts
You got to have a little bit of an ego. You got to certainly have a self assuredness. Right. And it's like, it's one thing if they were like, man, it's so egotistical to have like music that goes like bum, bum, bum, Right. And like blue spotlights and everything and just stop and sniff on your way to the ring. But guess what? It's not bragging if you back it up. You know, it's not an ego. If the whole audience is like, oh my God, this is the greatest thing I've ever seen. And that's what they are. Every time. Any city, any state, any country, anywhere he goes, any continent, they eat it up.
Jay Hunter
I think when he takes that deep breath in, nobody is saying, wow, that Roman Reigns is so humble.
Sam Roberts
No, no, but honestly, based on how good he is, sure, he's kind of humble. He could be much worse.
Jay Hunter
I see where you, I see the.
Sam Roberts
You know what I mean?
Jay Hunter
Yeah, I.
Sam Roberts
He could be impossible to deal with. The fact that you can even have a conversation with the guy is. Shows the humility of our tribal chief, Roman Reigns. It's pretty remarkable when you think about it.
Jay Hunter
I do love the layers that are added to this King of the Ring tournament. Right within the bloodline.
Sam Roberts
Yes.
Jay Hunter
I'm glad that you pointed that out.
Sam Roberts
Yes, yes.
Jay Hunter
It's not just Jay and Oba. For Jay, there's a lot at stake here.
Sam Roberts
A lot on both the side for him personally and the family and everything. This is a high stakes, hugely high stakes final.
Jay Hunter
Yeah. And then what, what comes after it?
Sam Roberts
Right. Win or lose, Win or lose, there's a lot that comes after it. Yeah, yeah.
Jay Hunter
Because if he, he wins and he goes after Cody Rhodes. Well, there's a lot there. Based on the history between Cody Rhodes and the bloodline.
Sam Roberts
Correct.
Jay Hunter
If he wins and Sami Zayn is the champion. Oh, my goodness. Buckle up. Because Sami Zayn, former member of the
Sam Roberts
bloodline, the original honorary use before someone else took that title.
Jay Hunter
Well, that's still up for debate a little bit there.
Sam Roberts
Yeah, I'd love to debate, Jacob.
Jay Hunter
I think Sammy is more, well, not everybody considered by more people to be the honorary than Sam Roberts.
Sam Roberts
Cool. Well, that's cool. That's kind of quantity over quality.
Jay Hunter
Well, anyways, if Guenther becomes the World
Sam Roberts
Heavyweight Champion, I got one guy and it's the best guy.
Jay Hunter
I'm trying to talk about Gunter becoming the World Heavyweight Champion.
Sam Roberts
I'm apologizing.
Jay Hunter
And if, if, if Jey uso Wing wins the King of the ring, is
Sam Roberts
there any history between Jey uso and Gunther in title matches in stadiums?
Jay Hunter
There are, yes, lots of.
Sam Roberts
Yeah. It's so good. It's so good. You know, I'm going to be representing the bloodline.
Jay Hunter
Always are.
Sam Roberts

A big night tonight. We will get to Liv Morgan, by the way.
Jay Hunter
Of course we have to.
Sam Roberts
Who has had a big night tonight, had a big night on Friday, big night on Saturday. But before we get there, let us not wait a moment longer before we recognize the new tag team champions of the world.
Jay Hunter
The street profits.
Sam Roberts
The street profits. They. They requested the smoke. They received it. They excelled. They are once again tag team champions in the wwe. Tremendous match. Another match where to me, the Vision was not prepared for what they have done.
Jay Hunter
Man. Paul Heyman has to be sitting somewhere, wherever he is, watching what is going on and just shaking his head in
Sam Roberts
disgust if he can. If or unless he has a big neck brace on from when he got spear.
Jay Hunter
He probably does. Yeah, he probably does.
Sam Roberts
But metaphor, it's still in his brain. Kind of shaking it. Maybe eyes are going back side to side as if he's shaking his head.
Jay Hunter
He can't be pleased with what he saw.
Sam Roberts
No, I mean, it was interesting to me as we were building up to this match to see Braun Breaker in kind of a leadership position with the Vision. In a very shot calling position with the Vision backstage before this.
Jay Hunter
Yeah, his whole body language had changed. Right. And definitely taking on that. That leadership role, which is an interesting dynamic when it comes to Logan Paul. Because typically I don't see really anybody being able to tell Logan Paul what it is to do. But there was no question about it when you saw theory. Logan Paul and Breaker backstage, who was in charge. Breaker.
Sam Roberts
Yeah, Logan Paul's a bit of a goofball.
Jay Hunter
A little bit.
Sam Roberts
You know, and maybe he recognized that, maybe he doesn't. Sometimes it seems like maybe. I mean, look at his face. He's a goofball. But he doesn't. I don't know if he always really strategizes. You know, Logan Paul is very, very successful. But there are certain moves on the chessboard in this world of professional wrestling that I don't know if Logan Paul is fully ready for.
Jay Hunter
I think he relies a lot on instincts.
Sam Roberts
He loves instincts. He's an instinct guy.
Jay Hunter
Yes.
Sam Roberts
Right. It's feeling right.
Jay Hunter
He doesn't question those instincts.
Sam Roberts
No, no. He's got a lot of confidence. He was raised with confidence, it feels like. And also, I think he's got that sort of baseball rule where, you know, even 50% is a hall of Fame. It's hall of Fame numbers.
Jay Hunter
Here we go.
Sam Roberts
Right? So that's what he's thinking.
Jay Hunter
Find a way to get on base.
Big E
Right?
Jay Hunter
Work a walk.
Sam Roberts
That'. That's it. If. I mean, if. If half of my ideas result in a double, I'm one of the greatest to ever do it.
Jay Hunter
That's nuts.
Sam Roberts
Right? Right. You see what I'm saying?
Jay Hunter
That's a nice way to put a little positive spin on anything.
Sam Roberts
Right? Right. Well, I'm getting doubles half the time, and I mean, that's like. That's something to write home about.
Jay Hunter
You're failing. But if I was in baseball, I'd
Sam Roberts
be one of the greatest. Ever do it.
Jay Hunter
That's it.
Sam Roberts
You kidding me? You know how much money I could make at baseball if I could transfer this skill set? I mean, Logan Paul is out there. He keeps claiming. And look, far be it from me to say that Logan Paul is not gonna be a man of his word, because he has been. He said he was gonna be full time. He's been on tv. He's full time. But he keeps claiming that he's healing faster than anybody who's ever healed in the world. But he's not healed like you would think. Like when John Cena healed incredibly fast and showed up at the Royal Rumble after his torn pack, he didn't go on TV every week and go, just so you know, everybody, I'm healing abnormally fast.
Jay Hunter
Hey, everyone, I have an update.
Sam Roberts
Right? He just showed up and he wrestled in the real row, right?
Jay Hunter
So, Logan Paul, tell me how your recovery's going.
Sam Roberts
Show me, show me, show me.
Big E
And it.
Sam Roberts
Wow. Apparently very good, he says.
Big E
Good.
Sam Roberts
So he was out there at ringside, you know, as Bron Breaker was filling in for him as tag team champion alongside Austin Theory. And we end up in a scenario where, once again, I mean, I don't know if this ring needs to be expanded. I don't know if we need to teach all these superstars where the middle of the ring is, but once again, we got a foot that is just close enough to the rope is now a weekly occurrence. And Logan Paul puts Austin Theory's foot on the rope. But I guess. But Austin Theory is so out of his head that he can't keep his foot on the rope. So Logan Paul's got to hold his foot on the rope the whole time. And he's like, look, referee, the foot's on the rope. And referee's like, I can see your hand, dude. You're holding his foot on the rope. What are you doing? He's like, well, I mean, it's still on the rope though.
Jay Hunter
Technicality, right?
Sam Roberts
You can't. His foot's on the rope is what I'm saying.
Jay Hunter
It's there.
Sam Roberts
So the referee goes, okay, you're right. Technicality. Also technicality.
Big E
You're out of here.
Sam Roberts
See you later. That's right, that's right. And Logan Paul is forced to leave. And now we're down to two on two. Division loses their numbers advantage over the street profits and. And then eventually Logan Paul sneaks his way back in and he slides those brass knuckles on the apron. But just when you think that Austin Theory is going to sneak over there and that Logan Paul is going to stick around, what do they do?
Jay Hunter
Say his name and he appears. I believe in Joe Hendry. And there we go.
Sam Roberts
And there he is. He's back. People have been wondering where this Joe Hendry is. Of course, he got attacked several weeks ago by Austin Theory in the name of Logan Paul, you know, getting revenge. He's been gone for weeks.
Jay Hunter
He's been trying to get Logan Paul fired.
Sam Roberts
He was before that.
Jay Hunter
Even when Logan Paul got injured, he was like, fire him.
Sam Roberts
And that's why Austin Theory came out and said, enough is enough.
Jay Hunter
Stop.
Sam Roberts
He's literally singing a song.
Jay Hunter
Guy's injured, he's on the table getting surgery.
Sam Roberts
Paul, can we find Michael?
Jay Hunter
Michael Cole, he's singing along with him.
Sam Roberts
I can't believe that a guy could have a voice so suited for broadcast yet be the worst singer that's ever existed. Michael Cole might be the worst singer that's ever sung a song. He's one of these. He's one of the all time broadcasters, like his voice is his tool. But it's only for broadcasting, it's only for speaking. Nothing rhythmic, nothing melodic, nothing. So he, he's back. Joe Hendry, he appears. I don't even know if anybody said his name. I didn't hear it, but somebody must have said it.
Jay Hunter
But they are in the uk, they
Sam Roberts
talk about him all the time.
Jay Hunter
A lot.
Sam Roberts
Yeah, they love. So somebody in the front row or something must have said it. Yes, because he appeared.
Jay Hunter
Yeah. And then that obviously threw the distraction again.
Sam Roberts
Right.
Jay Hunter
We have a numbers game.
Sam Roberts
So now it chases Logan Paul out and then Rollins.
Jay Hunter
Music plays which was interesting because before this match we saw Seth Rollins sit down backstage with Corey Graves and he Was talking about a steel cage match coming up this weekend at Night of Champions. And he gave a lot of credit to the street profits. Yeah, a lot. He talked a lot about how Dawkins gave him grace when no one would give him grace. Finally, Tez comes around, also gives him grace, but it helped him out. And during that. Sit down. I was wondering, is Seth gonna come out during this match? And I was like, nah.
Sam Roberts
And boom, there he is. Except he doesn't come out where they think he's gonna come out from. Braun Breaker, who, by the way, already showing flaws, is so locked into Seth Rollins that even when he's waiting for Seth Rollins to come out, he's looking down the aisle. He's got his back to the ring,
Jay Hunter
completely takes his eye off the ball.
Sam Roberts
Which is when Seth Rollins pops out of the crowd, takes those, knocks away that Logan Paul brought out, punches Austin Theory in the face, runs off Bron Breaker, chases him off, is now away from the ring entirely during the middle
Jay Hunter
of a Tag Team Championship match where
Sam Roberts
his partner just got punched in the face with brass knuckles.
Jay Hunter
Like, see you later. I'm going after Seth. What?
Sam Roberts
And guess what Street Profits said, you do that, that's you. We're going to stay here and we're going to pin Austin theory. 1, 2, 3. The street profits win the Tag Team Championship. But two things happened. I think the Street Profits won the Tag Team Championship. And once again, like he had done in the match with Braun Breaker, where Paul Heyman got taken out, Seth Rollins completely outsmarts the Vision. I mean, this is. I don't think this is going to be a great week for the Vision.
Jay Hunter
And this is Seth Rollins who told Brown Breaker not long ago that he wasn't ready.
Sam Roberts
And now Bron Breaker is sitting there thinking about Saturday instead of thinking about Monday when he's got a champion.
Jay Hunter
Now, what does the Vision have? Nothing.
Sam Roberts
Nil Zettle. Zettle.
Jay Hunter
They have no Paul Heyman. They have no Tag Team Championship. It's Austin Theory and Bron Breaker. No title.
Sam Roberts
Right?
Jay Hunter
And Logan Paul with a brace on his arm.
Sam Roberts
I don't even know if there'll be a Fanatics Fest.
Jay Hunter
I hope they will.
Sam Roberts
I hope they will. I know I'll be there. Look, I'm talking about Fanatics Fest. You know, it's bringing two exclusive WWE Live shows to New York City this July. Of course, you don't want to miss the official WWE SummerSlam Kickoff hosted by songstress Michael Cole. Of course. Jay Hunter
I like how you added the Summer Slam there. It was very bright heart of you.
Sam Roberts
The Summer Slam.
Jay Hunter
Yeah, I like that.
Sam Roberts
That's right. That's right. I can't wait.
Jay Hunter
Real ones pick up on that.
Sam Roberts
I can't wait for the Summer Slam. But before we get to the SummerSlam or Fanatics Festival, let's get to our guest today on the Raw recap. Of course, he is a former WWE champion, one of the premier analysts in the game, and an incredible author, so I hear. Ladies and gentlemen, Big E, welcome, my friend.
Big E
What's going on, guys? I appreciate that. Yeah, yeah. Dabbling into the whole writing a book thing. First of all, I got to say a couple things. Meghan, the top fire.
Jay Hunter
Thank you so much.
Big E
I don't know where you got this thing from.
Jay Hunter
Pro sphere.
Big E
Okay. I gotta. I gotta look into that, I guess, for. For the ladies in my life that love wwe. Also, Sam, you referred to Michael Cole as a songstress. I believe that is. I believe that is a title only referred to for female singers.
Sam Roberts
Really?
Big E
Yeah.
Sam Roberts
I think you may have known that. Can I tell you something? I feel ridiculous. I feel silly. Yes.
Big E
Yeah.
Sam Roberts
I feel silly. I'd like to apologize. Yes, I'd like to apologize. I didn't. I didn't mean. That's a ridiculous thing for me.
Jay Hunter
I think you meant it.
Sam Roberts
No, I didn't.
Jay Hunter
You meant it.
Sam Roberts
I didn't mean that. I didn't mean that. Speaking of Of. Of. Of females, Big E, tonight on Monday Night Raw, we had the Queen of the Ring finalists squaring off. Liv Morgan and Iyo Sky. I mean, Liv Morgan. We've been talking about people with confidence a lot on this podcast today. And when. When you can walk up to Iyo sky, look at her in the face and not Say I'm a champion. Not say, you know, I've done this, I've done. Look at her in the face and say, in a wrestling context, I am so much more talented than you. I mean, that is a. That is a wild thing to say. 2 of all people, Iyo Sky.
Big E
Look, a lot of people consider Iyo sky the best wrestler in wwe. Not the best female wrestler, the best wrestler in wwe. If we look at her, her. Her resume, as far as what she's done, even just in the last two years in wwe, the number of classic matches she's had is incredible. I don't think that Liv has quite built that body of work yet, but she is an absolute superstar. That is undeniable. And look, you have to apply the confidence. That is what you need at this level. Look, I'm all for respecting people who are very talented in this company. People have come before you, people who have done incredible things, but you really need to be that brash. And I think confidence is never an issue when we're talking about Liv Morgan. And I think that's what she needs going into Queen of the Ring.
Sam Roberts
A lot of people when this tournament first started, were scratching their heads when they saw that Liv Morgan was even in the tournament going, why would the World Champion be in a tournament where the. The prize is to get a shot at the World Champion? And, I mean, Liv Morgan clarified that. I think it goes back to the sort of brashness, the confidence that she goes, well, I want both. You know, I want. I want both titles. And I think that it's interesting that we're now kind of one match away from being like, oh, maybe that. Maybe that's what this was all about from the beginning, that Liv Morgan wants to fight Rhea Ripley again and wants to take both belts.
Big E
Well, talk about a way to really solidify your legacy. Like being in that holding both World Championships would be massive. Now, that means having to get through, like we said, arguably, maybe not arguably the best wrestler in wwe. And also Rhea Ripley, one of the best to do it. One of the best walking the planet as well. That's a very tall task, but if anyone can do it, I think Liv definitely can. The growth. We talked a lot, especially on this show, about her growth and how much better she's gotten over the last few years, but I think this is the best version of Liv Morgan. Is this Liv Morgan we've seen in 2026.
Jay Hunter
But at the same time, this is an EO sky who, you know, she wasn't on the WrestleMania card. You know, after everything she did, she walked into WrestleMania last year as a champion. Now she has an opportunity where she's just won, win away from facing. It could be Liv Morgan, it could be Rhea Ripley. And EO knows in the back of her pocket, hey, Rhea, that champ that everybody's talking about, she's never pinned me before. And I know while IYO always presents herself as so positive and lovable, humble, you know, there's an edge to her. There has to be.
Sam Roberts
She puts a garbage can on her head and jumps off the top of the cage, right? That's an edge thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Big E
She definitely does look where she cut her teeth in Japan. The way those women train, man, she. That woman is tough. And look, even her, she's usually very gracious in promos and in interviews. But even just the line about Liv having a big head, even that from. From. From her, I think demonstrates that she's not here to be belittled and to be talked down to like she is ready to stand up for herself verbally. We already know what she can do physically in the ring, but I think she also shows she's got some gumption as well.
Sam Roberts
What do you think? You do? What do you think? We see. So we know if Liv was to win, we know the move would be live versus RIA at SummerSlam, because Liv's not gonna fight herself. If EO were to win against Liv Morgan, does she go for Rhea Ripley, who's never been able to beat EO sky, or. I mean, if she got this opportunity by beating Live Morgan, does she just go like, yeah, just go beat you again at the next show. Like, I just beat you. I know how to do that. I just do it at the next show. I'll be the champion.
Big E
That. That is a great question, you know, having a momentum of beating someone, but they often say in sports that the second time oftentimes is a lot more difficult. Because let's say Liv does lose this match, she's going to be able to look at the tape, understand what she did wrong, make changes. If you go in winning the previous match, oftentimes you think, yeah, I can do this again. And also, let's take into account the fact that if she does manage to beat Liv, who knows if Judgment Day will be there or not, But I can assure you, if she gets a second crack at it, they are going to do their best to foil that plan. But, man, I think so many of us as fans, I'm not saying there isn't a ton of juice in this potential rematch for the world title. But, man, Ria and EO, once again, after their. Their long time as friends, as a tag team, them getting like, that's what I love, seeing those two side by side. I love their friendship, But I was always waiting. When does this thing come to a head again? Look, they've been in the ring a decent amount, having singles matches, having triple threats, but there is. Those two women could wrestle each other every single week for the next decade. And I am still tuned in. They make magic together.
Jay Hunter
Yeah, they do. I've been saying I can't wait for it to come to a head for a long time. And Sam was calling me a hater.
Sam Roberts
Well, that's because you were saying that while they were literally a tag team.
Jay Hunter
Well, I couldn't wait for it. Biggie was excited, too.
Sam Roberts
No, he's not with you. No, he wasn't with you on that. Biggie enjoyed watching that. I mean, Biggie, first of all, can speak for himself. He's an author. And second of all. And second of all, no, you were the only one who. And Rio was running wild. You were like, this can't last. This can't last. They're going to collide. They can't be friends. They're both too good. Is that runner thing in you? You're an individual. You're an individual person.
Jay Hunter
Sue me for liking good wrestling. All right.
Sam Roberts
Meghan's friendships, you know, she's friends with all these runners, but the minute the starting line is there, she's got no friends.
Jay Hunter
That's how it should be. You're in competition. Right, Biggie, you know, once you get in that squared circle, throw your friends away.
Sam Roberts
He was literally in a trio.
Jay Hunter
Well, you know, but then.
Sam Roberts
Sorry.
Big E
Yes, yes, yes. Look, the truth is, somewhere in the middle, okay? I love seeing those two as a tag team, but I'm excited to see those two go one on one as well.
Jay Hunter
Hopefully we get it in a stadium.
Big E
Come on.
Sam Roberts
I mean, amazing.
Big E
I know.
Sam Roberts
Amazing. Now, you said you don't know if the Judgment Day will be there or not there. It felt like there was some friction going on with the Judgment Day. A lot of complications. Of course. You know, Liv was kind of taking a leadership position. Had nothing for poor Roxanne. Perez was looking at Raquel saying, don't worry, you'll get one of the other titles. That's no big deal. Trying to deal with the fact that Dominic Mysterio is out a hundred grand. Trying to deal with the fact that JD, poor JD McDonough has been electrocuted. And I don't know what kind of electric currents Danhausen is using, but I mean, these, these electrocutions that have been happening around, around Danhausen. I watch on Smackdown, like these usually they don't last for weeks. They've been like, Miz has been in a catatonic state for like two or three weeks now. He was saying hoorah. Like it was like, you know, 2007 on Smackdown. I couldn't believe it.
Big E
Look, the Miz is very hard headed. I also do not understand. We. We know this man willed a team that had not won an NBA championship for over half a century. And they did it. His powers are confirmed. His powers are strong. Leave Danhausen alone. If you want. If you want to walk into his lair, be there to offer your services. Be there to, you know, do you need a butler? I don't know why anyone thinks walking into. If he took 100 grand from me, I'd say, Danhausen, Merry Christmas. That's yours. It's an early Christmas present. Enjoy it. I don't know what these two are thinking.
Sam Roberts
I mean, it really is amazing that a lot of times, you know, mainstream normie world and the pro wrestling world almost exists on two different planes, right? Two different planets. But if you recall, people. And it's funny because I feel like there are some that don't even remember that from February until the second round of the NBA playoffs, everybody was treating Danhausen like a fool.
Big E
Like.
Sam Roberts
Like a damn fool. And they were treating him like he was. Like he was an idiot. Nobody took his curses seriously. Dominic Mysterio and J.D. mcDonough specifically did not take. Everybody said, these curses are ridiculous. This is a thing that Danhausen is saying. There's a coincidence, a series of events. It's nothing but watching The Knicks go 15 and one after the uncursing happened to capture for that team, to capture that championship. What's amazing has been that while we've seen a sort of mainstream awareness of Danhausen and the curses, I'm always curious as a fan, what does that mainstream do to what I'm watching on WWE tv? What's the correlation? How does it translate? And watching on WWE Television now, everybody, whether it's Matt Cardona or Los Garza or Liv Morgan or the Judgment Day, they all take those Danhausen curses absolutely seriously now. And it's put Danhausen in this sort of unexpected space where he's got this, this amazing power over the roster.
Big E
It's incredible. We've talked about Danhausen and his rise and this Run ad nauseum, but deservedly so. Like, what he has done the last couple months, I don't know if I've. If I've ever seen anything quite like it. It's like he has the Midas touch. Anything he does, it just works. And it works to the highest degree. What a run for him, man. To think of where his debut started to now, it's kind of insane. It's kind of nuts.
Sam Roberts
It's been four months. It's been nothing. It's been nothing.
Jay Hunter
I think you called it once, a wrestling fairy tale.
Sam Roberts
He's.
Jay Hunter
It is. And that's exactly. Yeah.
Sam Roberts
This guy just shows up out of nowhere, and he's like, no, don't worry. I got this. And everybody's like, no, you don't. He's like, yeah, I do. And then he does. And it turns out he was right the whole time.
Big E
Yeah, absolutely. And look, I've had opportunities, you know, when. When he's leaving the building, we have, you know, quieter moments as well, Getting to see more of the real man. Man, he is. His perspective, his humility, but also his drive, his creativity. He's someone who just gets it. He understands. He understands how he fits and this. And to me, like, he's also just a lesson, I would say, to all the young wrestlers out there and for people trying to find their way. I'm such a big believer in creating or finding a niche that doesn't exist. Finding your own lane. There is no one in the wrestling bubble that I am aware of who can fill those Danhausen shoes. He has created his own. It's weird. It is different. It is unlike anything else, but that's his. He is. He sits firmly in that lane. And I think it's such a credit to him. Look, he doesn't need to be six. Six. He doesn't need to be £300. He just needs to be him. Because he's absolutely knocked it out the park.
Sam Roberts
Yeah. Because I also don't think anybody would make that many Simpsons references. I don't think they know him. You know what I mean? I don't think they could squeeze him in like that. It's pretty. It's pretty impressive, really. He's also. I mean, you know, you're sitting there, right? You're looking at somebody like Matt Cardona, and you're like, no, no. After everything this guy did after leaving wwe, no, he's Matt Cardona now. Let's take it seriously. He's Matt Cardona, who's the one character that could get that guy to woo, woo, woo again. Who's the one guy that could get him to go on TV and woo woo, woo again one more time. Woo woo. You know it. He's, he's. I mean and in all. And you're right, E like, like in the sense that like he just makes, not just him, he makes it all work around him. The fact that, that now is like this, everything becomes, I don't know, a little bit more interesting with Dan House.
Big E
Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. And I don't know what's going on with everyone being shocked, but again, don't. If I've seen what happened to Kit and to Miz. Don't touch anything back. Don't touch any of the tech. Don't touch any machines. I wouldn't even say step foot in that room. That's his room. He can have it. People, people in, in WWE are very hard headed.
Sam Roberts
Clearly they especially JD McDonne's got that big skull, big kn.
Big E
That's true. You know. That is true. You know.
Megan Morant
And they don't.
Jay Hunter
They're desperate because last week Liv Morgan goes in there. Olivia Morgan as Dan Housen called her.
Sam Roberts
Oh, Olivia Morgan, yes.
Jay Hunter
And she tries to persuade Dan Housen to put a curse on Obafemi. It doesn't work. And then this week, Dom and JD are back in there again.
Sam Roberts
Yeah, desperate, desperate, desperate, desperate for Danhausen. I do. Biggie. We were just talking about the tag team championship match on Monday Night Raw. But of course the tag team champions over on smackdown, R. Truth and Damien Priest all rise for the unlikely pairing of R. Truth and Damian Priest. This tandem has shaken up the tag team division and now you can celebrate their championship reign with this R. Truth and Damian Priest rise up. Weap up cartoon T shirt available now at WWE Shop and Fanatics. For anybody that was looking to weapa up, you now can thanks to WWE Shop and Fanatics and somebody who we were talking about earlier, Seth Rollins. He's joined the club of the throwback T shirts throwing it back to 2014 with this Seth Rollins retro buy in tea. It's a must have for fans of the Architects breakout era. And it's available now at WWE Shop and Fanatics. I mean that WWE wear patch sewn on the bottom of the T shirts. That's a whole era into and of itself.
Big E
No, it really is. Even, even that era of Seth, I was gonna say I'm so glad when I saw they announced that they're bringing back that Seth Rollins shirt. Yeah. To me that that was really Seth like breaking through him post SHIELD Doing his thing. And what a run. Man, that was a hell of a time to be a Seth Rollins fan.
Sam Roberts
Mom, can you tell me a story?
Michael Cole
Sure. Once upon a time, a mom needed a new car.
Jay Hunter
Was she brave?
Michael Cole
She was tired mostly. But she went to Carvana.com and found a great car at a great price. No secret treasure map required.
Sam Roberts
Did you have to fight a dragon?
Michael Cole
Nope. She bought it 100% online from her bed, actually.
Sam Roberts
Was it scary?
Michael Cole
Honey, it was as unscary as car buying could be.
Sam Roberts
Did the car have a sunroof? It did, actually.
Michael Cole
Okay, good story. Car buying. You'll want to tell stories about. Buy your car today on car. Delivery fees may apply.
Sam Roberts
Speaking of a hell of a time to be a fan. And also groups coming back together. The, the, the Chad Gable apology tour continued tonight on Monday Night Raw. And. And he went in and he had members of the Alpha Academy in there with him. Kira Tozawa, of course, and Maxine and Otis. And he was apologizing to all three of them and complimenting all three of them. And it was Maxine who stepped up with all that attitude. Maybe she learned it from Austin theory.
Jay Hunter
Perhaps. We don't know.
Sam Roberts
I don't know. I don't know. I want to get involved in that. And said, you know, we did it without you. We're gonna keep doing it without you. We don't like you, we don't want you. We don't want the apology.
Jay Hunter
And she talked about how she held a single title in wwe, something she has never done.
Sam Roberts
That's true. Chad tried to say it to her as a compliment and she hit it back with the exact same thing, but as an insult. And it was like, that's not even remotely cool. That's not why I brought that up. But tell me what, how you feel. I mean, you're a nicer man than I am. I think I can be honest about that.
Big E
I agree.
Sam Roberts
I don't, I don't know if this is because I'm a cold hearted individual, but we're now in whatever it is, week three. I don't, I don't need Chad Gable to apologize to anybody else. I think that Chad Gable speaks for himself. Let his actions speak. I understand. He did this, he did that. But we can't live in the past. We can only move forward. And if people are going to accept us by who we are today, they're going to accept us by who we are today. I think I want to see Chad Gable get back to kicking ass and, you know, not. I don't need to see all the making amends.
Big E
You know, I think that's a fair assessment. I think the last few weeks, apologizing to the luchadors, to Ray, to Penta, to. To. To Dragon Lee, I think, you know, I can see why he did it. To me, this was the most important apology, though. This was the family that he built and the way in which he spoke to his family, the way in which he treated his family. You know, he's. He's talked for a long time about how close he and Otis were, the fact that they both came up in amateur wrestling, both being from Minnesota, their bond is. Is deep. It was beautiful before Chad kind of threw all that away. So I can understand why he wanted to make this last apology. But I am with you. I kind of hope that this is it. I think Chad really has proven himself. He's proven himself in the ring a long time ago, but I think as a real star, that people are absolutely behind. He has shown that. So I hope now he's able to kind of more just get on his path and focus on winning championships. But I also. I also can understand the need to make amends. But I will say, to me, this was, as far as being on the microphone, I thought this was Maxine's best performance. Significantly, we might not like what she had to say, but I also can understand where it comes from. But her confidence, her. The fire in her eyes, the way she stood up for the group that say, otis, step aside. I'm taking the reins of this. I can understand. And you can say, oh, she's been talking to Austin theory. Maybe she picked up some of his callous ways. But let's rewind to how long this man was awful to these people, these people who supported him, who are there for him. So I think she sits in this space of, I don't really know what this means for Otis and Tozawa, but I can understand the anger. I can understand the vitriol. And good, good for her for having a backbone and saying, look, I understand that you are contrite and you are now taking the time to say your apologies to all the people you hurt. But that doesn't mean I need to accept it. That doesn't mean I'm okay with this new you. And what, we're all just gonna hug and sing Kumbaya again? After everything you did to us? Like, everything's okay? So I. They're in this real crossroads right now, and I don't know as talented as I think to Zawa Maxine and Otis are without Chad Gable. We haven't seen them be in a prominent position in wwe, and that's not to take away from their talent. But who are they without Gable, if they don't make amends? We. We know Gable's going to be on our TVs weekly. We know he is bound to do big things. We. We see him the. The rocket ship. It's going up and up. But I. I won. I wonder and I worry if those three will really have much opportunity to grow if they don't find a way to bury the hatchet with Gable.
Sam Roberts
Yeah, I mean, they can't live. I mean, it goes back to what I was saying about the apologies almost too, like. Like living there in the past and being defined by what you did a year or more ago, I don't think it's gonna make anybody terribly successful. And it does, like, to me, I go like, okay, it's great that. That. That Gable apologized. Right? And great. And great that Gable did it in such a public forum so that people could see, okay, this is the new Gable. But realistically, I think a lot of us that are just watchers, you know, we're not invested. We don't. I mean, the personal relationships and all this, I think, yeah, apologize to Rey Mysterio.
Jay Hunter
And once Ray said he was cool, I was like, I think we're all cool.
Sam Roberts
We're all cool.
Jay Hunter
If Ray says it's cool, I think he speaks for us all.
Sam Roberts
Because when I watch, I'm not looking at Chad Gable and going, oh, that's the guy who is mean to everybody. I'm looking at Chad Gable and going, that's the guy who just wrestled the best mask versus mask match I've ever seen in my life.
Jay Hunter
Yes.
Sam Roberts
Let's go. What's next? Let's go. And I feel like that's a place that I'm hoping, you know, Gable's at a week from today. Like, I'm like, now, like, let's. Let's go. Because, you know, as, I mean, you know better than anybody else, WWE moves fast, very fast, and we're headed right for SummerSlam. And SummerSlam seems to me like a spot where you want, or if you are Chad Gable, you want to be in a position to do something very, very impactful.
Jay Hunter
In Minnesota. In Minnesota, of course, coming off Mask versus Mask and every, like, all the talk that that match had the entire world buzzing, reappearing on Netflix, like, I cannot wait to see Chad Gable get into whatever it is that he's getting into next. I'M for me, I'm good with the apologies. I did like your point about Maxine Dupree. And you know, when we do rewind and we look back, it's like, here's she was a young woman when she was brought in to the Alpha Academy and I think today she stood up to Chad as if she was a veteran and she had a backbone to her. And I love seeing that growth out of Maxine as well. But I'm really just looking forward to seeing, you know, where Chad Gable goes and can he be an ass kicker. Right. Quite frankly.
Big E
Yeah. And Megan, I think that's such an astute point. And if you didn't make it, I was going to make that point about it being in Minnesota. What an opportunity. What a platform. And I will say as well, for Gable, these few weeks, these couple months are so crucial because this man is coming off of, I say to me, easily, Feud of the Year, everything he did in Mexico, just beyond tremendous. It's one of those things that when we look back in December at what 2026 was in WWE, I promise you that's going to be one of the first things I, I think about. I know we're gonna get so many more incredible moments, but that's definitely going to be up there. But now he is in this period where now he's lost the mask, he's done with the feud in Mexico. Now he's really locked in. If you don't have this moment, if you don't take advantage of this moment, this rebrand and show people that you are indeed a star and that you have momentum, you got to keep it. Because if he starts to cool off in the next couple weeks, if he spends too much time chasing an apology from, from Maxine or Otis and Tozawa, if he spends too much time down that rabbit hole and isn't seeking championships, isn't seeking main event opportunities very quickly, the audience at home is not going to see him as a rising star. They're going to say that's, that's kind of where he plateaued. That's. That's about where Chad Gable is. So I'm really intrigued to see and especially with SummerSlam coming up in his home state in his hometown, I believe he's from the Minneapolis area. But either way, it's such a massive opportunity. We have two nights. If he is not in a big spot on that card, it starts to feel like, ah, that momentum he had is gone. So I just want to see Chad Gable continue to rise. And whether that's with his old family or not, it. We'll see. But it's, it's his time now and he absolutely has to capitalize.
Sam Roberts
Speaking of families and betrayals, Solo Sikoa, dressed in red, head to toe, showed up on Monday night Raw. And by the way, there have been a lot of people who talk about the bloodline interfering in matches. People who are going like, well, maybe the bloodline's gonna interfere in the king of the ring or the bloodline's gonna interfere here, the bloodline's gonna interfere there. The bloodline has interfered exactly 0% of the time for the entire calendar year of 2026. So this talk of interference on the bloodline's part, it has to be removed from people's vocabulary. It's. It's treasonous.
Jay Hunter
It was sort of ironic because l. A Knight, who is so obsessed with this family more than anybody next to Sam. Okay, he's the one who interferes, but not on behalf of the family.
Sam Roberts
Solo Soko showed up. He spiked Jimmy uso. I mean, look, I love Solo in the red. First. He does look like a million bucks. But first of all, the fact that Jacob Fatu was the one that was almost like, no, no, no, no, no. He got the message. Let him make his own call. Jacob Fatu was kind of the non emotional one between himself, Jay and Jimmy. Now, Jay had some ideas, but Jacob Fatu made it clear that he doesn't answer to Jay's punk ass. That was made clear.
Jay Hunter
Now.
Sam Roberts
Now for, for. For Jimmy to be told to just wait and see how it plays out. Solo knows what to do to be the one on the receiving end of a Samoan spike. Jimmy eats a pin then from La Knight. First of all, I wonder, is this going to change the conversation with LA Knight and what? Because he's pretty sure he knows everything going on with this family and clearly he does not. And also, is this a moment where Jimmy and Jay go to Jacob and go like, what. What are you doing here? What, what, what is the, what is the plan?
Big E
I. That is a great question. I think there's so many puzzle pieces that have to be figured out. Solo is going to continue to be a problem for the bloodline if they don't get him under control. And, and I know Louisiana. Knight is a lone wolf. He wants to do this thing on his own, but I, I started thinking, okay, we see the reformation of the bloodline. Who in God's name is going to stand up against this team? You better gather the Avengers. But I think we're going to be put in a position. I think La Knight is going to be put in a position where it's like find a team or you're in trouble. It's. I've never been to prison, but I think it's a bit like prison where you better find your crew. If you're in there alone, you better find some people to have your back because if not, you're going being in there alone. If he. He can't escape this bloodline vortex. Try as he might, this man does not seem to have the ability to extract himself from anything that has to do with the Usos. With Roman reigns, with Jacob Fatu, he's just in it. But if you're, if you're going to be in it, you better have some allies. And it might not be with Solo. He might not see eye to eye with Solo. They might not share the same values, but they have a common enemy. And I think it's going to be on him. I. I don't know.
Michael Cole
We.
Big E
We see Solo talking a lot to Royce Keys and we see Royce, someone who I, I think is so immensely talented. He's over on Smackdown. But I, I think we see a lot of people who are resistant to. To teaming with the mfts with Solo. But at some point, if you don't find someone to align yourself with, the bloodline is absolutely going to run roughshod through all of wwe. So I think LA has, he has to make a choice. He has to make a decision because he, he's in it whether he wants to be or not.
Sam Roberts
And by the way, this is the first time that the bloodline has actually been all blood. This is the first time that every single person in that bloodline is 100% blood related. No wise man, no honorary ooze, no extended family, no nothing. This is a blood related team. Which is why at some point I've got to believe you're not going to see any Tongans in that group. But I want Solo to come back home. I'm with that bloodline. I want everybody in that Anoa Fatu Samoan dynasty under one roof. Because I'm telling you, and this has been the way, and Roman broke it down a few weeks ago talking about the fact that that family has had a stronghold on WWE since the late 1970s, except because of a lack of organization, they've never been the centerpiece that they are now. And I feel like that is what differentiates this bloodline from the previous incarnation. That this is truly about that Anoa' I Fatu family, the history that they have in this company, and the fact that the chickens have come home to roost and it's time for them to take what's theirs and to stake their claim. And I think in order to do that, everybody who's blood related has to be under, you know, has to kind of fall in line. But.
Big E
But Solo is a boss right now. Solo is a leader of men. So it's like, do you. Do you want to leave this startup company that you own, that you operate, that you run to go join the Mega corporation? But at the Mega Corporation, you might be a lower level manager. He is not going to be the man calling the shots if he joins the bloodline, but if he can get the mfts where they need to be, if he can get La Knight, if he can get a Royce keys, if he can find some other people to kind of fall in line under him, and if somehow he is able to beat the bloodline, to dethrone the bloodline, that's how you make a statement. That is how you. How you carve out a legacy. Can he carve out that same legacy if he is the third or fourth or fifth, fifth most important member in the bloodline as opposed to being the man with the mfts and possibly being the ones to take down the bloodline?
Sam Roberts
He better. He better. If he wants to do that, he better team with Dan Housing because the only way Solo Sooa is taking out the bloodline is if they all get cursed.
Jay Hunter
And you know what they say, if you can't beat him, join him. That's right.
Sam Roberts
Join him. By the way, you know what? Go ahead.
Big E
I was going to say Dan Housing in that, that Sammy OO role, but for the mlts, I am with it. Let's go.
Sam Roberts
Yeah, yeah. He's already got the war paint on. He's good to go. Speaking of betrayal too, before we go, how about Lyra Valkyria deciding now's the time to show a little edge? Turns her back completely on Bailey after another failed attempt to win those WWE tag Team championships.
Jay Hunter
Becky was right about everything. Hashtag Becky was right about everything.
Sam Roberts
What was she right about everything?
Jay Hunter
She knew.
Sam Roberts
You think Lyra was being loony loser.
Jay Hunter
Lyra took the pin and then all of a sudden, she hashes out on Bailey. Lyra took the pin and she was tired of losing. If you were tired of losing, don't get pinned.
Sam Roberts
You can't say somebody's a bad guy. And then like a year and a half later, they turn and go like See, I told you that was a long time ago. It doesn't count anymore.
Jay Hunter
It's trending on Twitter right now.
Sam Roberts
Statute of limit. It's not trending.
Jay Hunter
Yes, it is. Hashtag, Becky was right about everything.
Sam Roberts
The longest hashtag ever. And second of all, that's tailored trends. That's what's trending for you, because it's all you. Check. You're just in Becky world on Twitter all the time.
Jay Hunter
As soon as Lyra turned, I was like, oh, Becky was right. She was right. And then I pulled up Twitter, and turns out she's.
Sam Roberts
Honestly, she's not kidding. And we literally watched Raw together, and she looked at me. She goes, he was right. I go, would you. I mean, would you stop it is what I said.
Big E
Of course she did. And also, I saw the barrage of tweets from Becky as well, so she does not miss an opportunity to. To pat herself on the back. But I will say, I thought in this moment, you know, anytime you see a loss between a team and a team that has had some. Some losses in the past, and then there's that lingering at the end, I thought, okay, it's going to be Bailey. It'll be Bailey turns on Lyra again. I. I was wrong. I was very, very wrong. Do I like this? No. In the sense that Bailey is beloved. She is someone who is a living legend. She has contributed so much to this industry, so seeing her be turned on by someone she thought was a friend is devastating to see. But as far as what's next for Lyra, I think this move could be great for her. I think people have been waiting to see something different, to see some more edge, to see her. It feels in many ways, like we've seen Lyra in the ring, and she is so talented, the what she brings to the ring, she can go. We saw the incredible feud with Becky. She's someone who is very, very talented. But unfortunately, it seems for. For both of these women that this tag team has kind of. They keep butting their heads against that glass ceiling. I don't know what's next for them. And I kept thinking that, like, after this loss, I don't know what's next for them. And so I think they needed something different. I don't know if this was the route to achieving that, but I do think it places a bit of a spotlight on Lyra, what her next move is. So it's going to be on her to see where she goes from this. If she does, I would imagine she'll be going toe to toe with Bailey for quite some time. But this is an opportunity for her to really rise and I think she saw it as such is let me take this opportunity and use Bailey. My former friend is a stepping stone.
Sam Roberts
