We are in Atlanta, and this is the Saturday night's main event recap of WWE and fanatics original production. Oh, Megan Morant. We are here. We are backstage in Atlanta at the State Farm arena, and we have just seen Goldberg's final match. And, you know, for a long time, Goldberg had been pretty public about not feeling like he had truly had his last match and wanting to have that final match. He did not win.

He is not the World Heavyweight Champion. That distinction still belongs to Gunther. But how do you think he did? Do you think he feels like he got that final match? As, by the way, as we're taping this, the thank you celebration for Goldberg continues in the building here.

You know, Sam, there was a lot of criticism, especially online, the haters, when Goldberg returned. Oh, you know, why does he have this match against Gunter? And then we saw last week on Monday night Raw. Raw, the crowd completely erupt for Goldberg. The same thing happened here tonight in Atlanta, which we expected. This is Goldberg's hometown. But there was also a lot of conversation. How long is this match going to be? Can Goldberg still really go? I think he absolutely delivered one of the longest matches we've seen Goldberg hag in a very, very long time. And I thought it was a great main event tonight.

[Megan Morant]

I was really fun. It was a. It was just. It was the Gunther story. And we've told this story many times. And that's, you know, one of the things that makes, especially at this phase, a Goldberg main event fascinating is, of course, like you were talking about, the polarizing nature of it. The people who will be excited to see the legend back and the people who will be the naysayers who are sitting there going like, ah, he's washed. I don't want to see him anymore. Like that happens. But what to me is so fascinating about it is the discussion that it brings every time, which is Goldberg could win the World Heavyweight Championship. People walked in, and I know because I was having these conversations all week long, and it was conversations that people wanted to have and people were having. How is this match going to end? And could Goldberg be the World Heavyweight Champion? Is Goldberg going to take that title to SummerSlam? Where does this go? And I think that once again, it's the same conversation that we had after Gunther won the World Heavyweight Championship back from Jey uso. What is Gunther?

[Sam Roberts]

He's the reality.

[Megan Morant]

He's the crushing reality that you put as many fantasy stories together as you want and as many. Can you imagine if. Well, what if. And, hey, this could only take place in the world of professional wrestling, the wonderful world of professional wrestling. And Gunther shows up, and he goes, what if I bring the real world to the wonderful world of professional wrestling? And the real world states that, yeah, Goldberg has spent the time getting himself into shape. And yet Goldberg is going to do things in the ring that most men at 28 couldn't do, let alone 58. But ultimately, I'm going to attack the leg. I'm going to attack the leg. I'm going to attack the leg. And Charles Robinson getting speared or not, which we do need to talk about at the end of the day, Gunther wins. And it's not some, like, big, elaborate story. It's Gunther locks on a sleeper hold, and Gunther puts the guy that he is fighting to sleep. And that guy that he is fighting could be a fan favorite on the level of Jay USO that has grown men yelling, yeet. It could be a legend coming back that we never thought that we'd see again, especially competing at this level. It just doesn't matter. That conversation that I said exists around Goldberg, as this is the guy that could win a World Heavyweight Championship, has been shifted. And now anytime Gunther is in there, anytime he is defending his World Heavyweight Champion, you and I can sit here and we can speculate wildly, and I. And we can come up with as many fun, fantastical stories as we can possibly think of. That's right. That's right. We can let our childlike imaginations run rampant with wonder, and you know what'll happen? Gunther will go, no. Cause I'm Gunther, and I'm gonna put the sleeper hold on. And then I just win, and I'm still the champion, and that's it. I just win. I beat the guy.

[Sam Roberts]

It doesn't even matter that the, the chops to the chest.

[Megan Morant]

I mean, and there was that moment right where Gunther is going full force chops at Goldberg and Goldberg isn't reacting. And I mean, I get it, I get it. You can act tough, you can tell a story, but when Gunther is going full force and you're able to stare back at him, there's something different about that. How about the fact that Goldberg speared straight through a barricade tonight?

[Sam Roberts]

That was, that was one of the highlights of the match. I mean, and you brought up also Charles Robinson, another highlight. But for me, when, when Goldberg is not reacting to the chops, I said, oh, buckle up. This is, this is.

[Megan Morant]

That's when you knew. Yeah, yeah.

[Sam Roberts]

I think for me, that was a moment. It's going to be more than a four minute match, which is what a lot of people thought heading in that we were going to get.

[Megan Morant]

That's right. And this idea that, like, oh, this, like this is real.

[Sam Roberts]

Yeah.

[Megan Morant]

Like this isn't Goldberg coming out and cutting a promo with that level of intensity. This isn't Goldberg coming out and striking Gunther once to prove that there was some physicality in it. It's like once those chops started getting no reaction whatsoever, we're in a match. We're having a Goldberg match. Like Goldberg's last match for the World Heavyweight Championship is fighting right now. Is happening right now.

[Sam Roberts]

And then also with Gunter. And this is the conversation that we had on Monday. He never is a guy that leads with his emotions. What had happened on Monday Night Raw, he retreated when Goldberg came out.

[Megan Morant]

Feeling things.

[Sam Roberts]

Exactly like feeling things. And when Goldberg is not reacting to the chops, what does Gunter do? He doesn't get emotional. He doesn't react in that way. He works the leg.

[Megan Morant]

Right. Because I'm pretty sure I can keep going until I hurt you. You might not be hurt right now, you might not be acting hurt right now, but I'm going to get you. I'm going to get you. And he did. We had a lot of blasts from the past surrounding Goldberg. Of course, Saturday night's main event is always that sort of retro experience.

[Sam Roberts]

I love the microphone, the microphone coming.

[Megan Morant]

Down, the red white ropes, the, the, the, the intros, the referees and their blue sky, the body Ventura, it's all great.

[Sam Roberts]

Yeah.

[Megan Morant]

But specifically to Goldberg, the fact that we had Rick and Scott Steiner, the fact that Diamond Dallas Page was here, Ernest the Cat Miller out there in the ring with Goldberg, of course, his son Josh Bartnett was out there. And to me, the thing. And I was Talking about it all day. Cuz we were here, we're in Atlanta, hanging out in the arena all day. And when I see Doug Dillinger, who you don't understand. I mean, if you were watching WCW in the 90s, in the late 90s, Doug Dillinger was the, he was that perennial head of security. He was exact and he was there for everything. And all the big matches that Goldberg had, it was Doug Dillinger that would knock on that door and help escort, lead the escort. As Bill Goldberg went through the locker room, out the curtain and into the arena. So to see Doug Dillinger back, to see the whole thing, it was like, it was a reminder of how much this guy has done in the world of professional wrestling. I thought it was very cool. I thought it was, I thought it was awesome to see. And you know what I really thought was awesome to see?

[Sam Roberts]

What's that?

[Megan Morant]

When he went for that jackhammer, I was like, there's. Cause in my head I'm going, this is gonna be spear city, baby.

[Sam Roberts]

Yeah.

[Megan Morant]

I'm like. And I'd be fine with it, by the way. That's why it's great having two moves, right?

[Sam Roberts]

Yeah.

[Megan Morant]

If you could just spear. I was like, just spear. That's fine. I didn't think, you know, a 58 year old man can't be jackhammering people. And when he did, when he hooked him, I was like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. And then he had him up. I went, no, no, no, no, no. And then he curved him and brought him down with that jackhammer. The same jackhammer that in this very city won Bill Goldberg the WCW Championship. From Hollywood, Hulk Hogan. Here we are 26, 27 years later and he is dropping Gunther with the same jackhammer. And had referee Bennett been a little bit quicker to get himself to the ring, maybe, just maybe, the result would have been different.

[Sam Roberts]

Well, maybe if your guy, Charles Robinson could stay on his feet there.

[Megan Morant]

Let's talk about it.

[Sam Roberts]

Goldberg could be champion tonight.

[Megan Morant]

How much can some. And maybe I shouldn't be bringing this up. How much is the WWE paying for Charles Robinson insurance right now? Because that guy cannot make it through a ple.

He can't.

Without being absolutely destroyed. I thought he was no longer with us after Night of Champions when I saw him.

[Sam Roberts]

Did you check on Twitter? He usually puts out a tweet, I'm alive. Did he?

I haven't seen it yet. I haven't seen it yet. Because then can you imagine that you go from getting shoulder checked halfway across the building at Night of Champions to now showing up at Bill Goldberg's main. And by the way, Charles Robinson, as much as he's a current official, is also a blast from the past.

Yes.

[Megan Morant]

Guess who was refereeing a ton of those classic Goldberg matches in wcw?

[Sam Roberts]

It was Charles Robinson.

[Megan Morant]

It was Charles Robinson. And now in 2025, when these legends should be just there to be respected and appreciated, Charles Robinson is getting speared by Goldberg on Saturday night's main event. I don't even know what these words mean anymore. It's nuts.

Is he going to have to come out with a brace or something on next time?

[Megan Morant]

I mean, I think so. I think if we could make some kind of referee outfit made purely of bubble wrap or something like that. I mean, like, once, maybe an accident. Twice. What? Is there a bounty on this guy's head? Is there like some kind of. And I don't know. They don't tell me these secrets. Is there some kind of locker room pool going where whichever superstar can knock Charles Robinson the furthest gets the whole bundle of cash every week?

[Sam Roberts]

We're gonna have to have somebody go inside the locker room and find that out for us.

[Megan Morant]

You know what it could have been, though? It could have been after he survived getting shoulder checked by John Cena and he ended up on this podcast, maybe he started to feel himself a little bit. Maybe he was like, oh, kind of nice to be a star, kind of nice to be appreciated. Look at me doing my interviews.

Only 80% effort running down the rail.

[Megan Morant]

Humble brag city, this Charles Robinson. Maybe he's thinking to himself, you know, those recap podcast invitations have started to slow down a little bit, but maybe if I could step in the way of an old Goldberg spear, it might be worth it if I could get back on that pod. I'm just saying it's possible. I don't know. But I'm just. I'm a suspicious guy. I try to look at all possible outcomes. And I am saying that every time Charles Robinson.

You think it's more than a right place at the wrong time.

Yeah. No, no, no. I think to him, he goes, right place, right time.

Cause maybe I get back on the pot on Monday, you know, give myself a couple of days to catch my breath and get back on the pod. Don't know. Yes, yes, yes. Because he did. Yeah. Because he did a promo match. Yeah. So he is alive. But. But unless something terrible happened between now and the promo, but I don't think it did. I think he's okay. But we talk about the mfts, we talk about this group that Solo has formed. Solo defending the United States Championship against big brother Jim Jimmy USO on Saturday night's main event tonight. And look, there were a couple of moments where I thought we might have something, and we didn't have something. Solo Sikoa, I feel like, is coming back into form as that. You know, there was this one phase of Solo Sikoa when he was this absolute enforcer. This is the Solo Sikoa that was driving 16 Samoan spikes into John Cena.

[Sam Roberts]

Deep in the knuckles. Not saying much at all, if anything.

[Megan Morant]

Remember when Sami Zayn was on trial, what was the ultimate punishment? It was Solo who was tasked with taking him out because that's the threat that he was. And then phase two of Solo was more Solo finding himself as this figurehead of what was then the bloodline and trying to fill the shoes. I think of Roman Reigns. That was tribal Chief era Solo Stuff.

[Sam Roberts]

When he had the crusty Ulafala.

[Megan Morant]

Yeah, I was getting a little crusty. It was, it's. You know, I hate for you to disrespect the Ulafalla, but it's not an incorrect description. You know what I mean?

[Sam Roberts]

You nailed was one. It didn't seem like it was really. He just had it.

[Megan Morant]

Well, look, it was his. He lost it. Bygones be bygones. This third phase of Solo Sikoa, I think takes both worlds. I think takes lessons that he learned in both places and gives us this new form. You know, I mean, people talk about the aura that Roman Reigns had. I felt Solo aura.

[Sam Roberts]

You know what it is for me, it's the way that Solo uses his words when he's in the ring during a match. I mean, he's constantly just whoever he's going up against today was big brother Jim. And I, I think that even develops him even further. But I also want to even go back to when he made his entrance. Like, one of the things I love so much about Solo Sooa is he makes me laugh because he, you know, we saw that four, four, four letters, one word, uh, stop. But it's just the way he says it.

[Megan Morant]

But you know what? You know what? There's something about the confidence now that's real. It doesn't feel like a put on. It might have felt a little bit like a put on before. It doesn't feel like a put on anymore. And I feel like he's kind of fully found himself in every way, shape or form, whether that be, you know, in the ring, whether it be cutting a promo, whether it be as a leader of this group. And you talk about leaders, you talk about leaders of this entire company, leaders of this division, the world.

[Gunther]

The leader of the professional wrestling world, please.

[Megan Morant]

Yes. The leader of the industry and the world who is the world heavyweight champion.

[Gunther]

If they would all follow my example, we would be in a better place. But that's just what I think.

[Megan Morant]

Look, I mean, if there was ever a time for you to have the credibility to say something like that, I think tonight's the night for it.

[Gunther]

It is.

[Megan Morant]

Was there anything that caught you by surprise from your opponent, Bill Goldberg tonight?

[Gunther]

Not tonight. And I gotta be honest, it was like last week already because how it all started, if we look back at that. I was at Bed Blood was here in Atlanta, this arena, and I was only scheduled to. I think we had like a title presentation for their, for the match in Saudi. And I see Bill Goldberg sitting there. I've just Been in the ring with Bret Hart at that point, like, a few weeks ago. And, I mean, I came up in wrestling since 2005, and a lot of my mentors are typical old timers, I would say. So I had my fun. I had my fun talking some smack to him, and I didn't really think much. And soon as he jumped out of his seat and that reaction, I was like, okay, but that might come back to me at some point. And obviously, fast forward. I don't know how much it was, half a year or something. He challenged me for the World Heavyweight championship. And I get where it came from. Like, what I said was not nice. I didn't intend to be nice or anything like that. This is a. This business is a big shark tank. So whatever. Like, I say what needs to be said, and I felt good doing that, and I got very confident over the weeks. But last week when he appeared, stepped up to me. In all honesty, I have to say, that was like, the first time, like, I felt that aura, that power of Bill Goldberg.

[Megan Morant]

Yes.

[Gunther]

And we can say what we want about him. He's a certain age now. He's 58 years old. I mean, in a fantastic shape for that, like, still crazy athlete. But having that in that moment, having him stand in front of me, that made me realize that you're in for something. So my mindset was very different this week going into the match compared to the weeks before.

[Megan Morant]

And I have to tell you, I'm very glad that I was out in the audience watching this match, because something that did strike me is the fact that I've seen a lot of your matches, and you have this substantial size advantage over a lot of the people that you've wrestled. And I don't think people take into consideration how big of a man Goldberg is. And watching you, even 58, 38, 28. It doesn't matter. Watching you, it wasn't as. I don't want to say easy, because it's never easy, but you having to physically handle Goldberg, I think seemed like more of a task than people realized.

[Gunther]

Yes, I agree to that. And I feel like that's something about Goldberg in general. He's. He's not. He's not a Mount Rushmore wrestler of this business or anything, but him as a person, as a character, as a brand in this business, he is definitely. Yeah, he's a Hall of Famer already, but a Mount Rushmore character. Mount Rushmore personality in his business, and that's what made him so special, is that he never needed to be Like a good technical wrestler, I never needed to have a lot of finesse. Everything he did, and that's almost a little bit similar to what I do. He's very straight to the point. It's very straightforward. So that guy was not easy to handle for anybody he ever stepped in a ring with. So I expected that. But to be honest, today, that caught me by surprise. Like, I was out there with him for 15 minutes, maybe a little bit longer. I don't think anybody really expected that out of that match. And I expected it to be shorter. So that was a big surprise to me. And so, that being said, after it's all said and done, I can pay my respects to him, to Bill Goldberg. He stepped out of, like, he came back for the right reasons to fight for what's near and dear to him. Obviously, it was for the World Heavy Championship, but I would say going into that, you could tell it was about something way more personal than the championships. So I gotta. Yeah, pay my respects to him.

[Megan Morant]

Yeah, I mean, it was amazing to watch. Now, you didn't. While the match was happening, you still involved his son. You still. And I think that that's part of it. Right. You understand that this is something that he may be sensitive to and that you can keep to play those. Keep playing those games, but you do, like, you're very non emotional when you're wrestling, but it does seem you to bring. It does seem to bring you great joy. Like, you moving that knee brace did seem to bring you some great joy.

[Gunther]

Oh, great joy.

[Megan Morant]

Yeah.

There's a. I would say put the finger in the wound. That's my. I have a degree in that. So.

[Megan Morant]

Yeah, I mean, we've been talking about you, and we talked to you right after you beat Jey USO to win back this world Heavyweight title. And we were talking about you tonight. And something that I've remarked on is that what made the match with you and Goldberg fascinating is, as you know, for this whole last five, maybe 10 years of Goldberg's career, anytime Goldberg's in a match, he might win the title. Like, there is no sort of. He's just back for his last match. Oh, he's just on kind of a nostalgia tour. He might win the title because he has won the title before. And I feel like that rule of, well, if this person's in the match, this could happen, has now shifted in your direction, where this is twice now. And I feel like it's becoming your calling card where regardless of what kind of pro wrestling Fantasy is at play regardless of how much people like me and Megan can fantasy book. Oh, maybe Goldberg could win and this could happen. Or that could happen. And then Goldberg goes to SummerSlam and then this and then that you come in like this, like this cold hand of reality and every single time you go. Or I could just put the guy to sleep and win. Do you think that that's an accurate portrayal of who Gunther is now?

[Gunther]

Yes, I think so. You explained that very well, I have to say. I have to say yes. And at the end of the day, in our business, in our industry, it's important that everybody's involved that it's important that everybody is having a big party when they come to our events. I get all of that. But as soon as, like a championship on the line, as soon there's money on the line, that's when it turns into business. And that's where all of the stuff you mentioned is secondary. What could be, what should be, who deserves what. I do not give a damn who deserves what. I deserve this. And I deserve to hold this for as long as I possibly can.

[Sam Roberts]

Gunther, the last time we talked to you on this show was after you defeated Jey USO and became the World Heavyweight champion. And you told us that after your victory, there was no one waiting for you in Gorilla. There was no celebration with the locker room. Now here we are in Atlanta, Saturday night's main event. There's a lot of legends in the building. Was anybody waiting for you today to congratulate you?

[Gunther]

No.

[Sam Roberts]

And how did that make change? I don't know.

[Gunther]

I don't have friends around here. But that's a good explanation. I don't care about all of that. I know so many people that walk around, it's their family, every week on the road together, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I do not care. I come here to be the best. I come here to make money. And I take all of that home with me to my family.

[Sam Roberts]

But as someone who really grew up, you know, watching the legends in this industry on a night like tonight.

[Gunther]

Yes. Even back then I watched them and I knew one day I'm gonna be better. I was very certain, and it proves me right. I'm sitting here. I just retired Goldberg. Bill Goldberg. I kicked out of the Jackhammer.

[Megan Morant]

Yeah.

[Gunther]

I mean, I choked him out in the middle of the ring.

[Megan Morant]

As somebody who grew up watching this, you are a student of this game. Like you, you. You tackle this in a very non emotional way now. This has worked for you now, but you did grow up A professional wrestling fan, yes. Was there any moment of realization when you're upside down and the blood is rushing to your head? Oh, my God. After all these episodes of Nitro that I watched, I'm about to get jackhammered.

[Gunther]

Yeah, it did happen.

[Megan Morant]

Yeah.

[Gunther]

It's a calculated risk. Tell you this. Yeah, I think Daimler or Mercedes, they built the very first car. And I bet back then all the enthusiasts about cars or automobiles respected that a lot. And he was a legend. But why should everybody after stop to pursue to become better than this, to build a better car, to do something even greater than all of them did. And yes, back then, when I was a boy, when I watched Goldberg, I watched all of them. I knew deep down, one day, I'm going to sit there, I'm going to stand in the ring, raise up a World Heavyweight Championship, and I'm going to be better than all of them.

[Megan Morant]

After you retire Goldberg, where do you see yourself going forward? Because, you know, I mean, this World Heavyweight championship scene to me has gotten very complicated. We saw that, you know, two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw when you were in the ring talking about Goldberg. And all of a sudden it exploded into something that involved multiple different superstars. CM Punk pushing you onto the ground. Paul Heyman and his gang, L.A. knight was there.

[Sam Roberts]

Penta.

[Megan Morant]

That's right. Penta is now involved in that main event scene, as is Jey uso, as is Sami Zayn. People you are, of course, familiar with. Is there sort of in your mind right now, now that this hurdle has been cleared, is there somebody that you think is a natural fit for who may be next? Or is that not anything that you concern yourself with?

[Gunther]

Well, I'm aware everybody wants a ride on the ring Generals coattail. That's normal to me. And yes, last week there was a lot of. Was it two weeks ago, There was a lot of other people involved. Didn't look too good for Seth Rollins today. We'll see about that. And yeah, you touched on CM Punk.

[Megan Morant]

But there was that moment with cm. You had that look in your eyes.

[Gunther]

I know that moment. And that will be addressed in the future. But for to now and for today, I achieved something far greater than Bill Goldberg ever achieved.

[Megan Morant]

That's true. I mean, Bill Goldberg.

[Gunther]

So I gave him the honor of being retired by one of the greatest to ever do this. I'll leave you guys with that.

And isn't. I mean, were you. I could tell as. Because I felt the same way as you're asking questions to this guy. Unflappable, this Gunther.

Yeah. It's almost like I know what he's gonna say, because with Gunter, it's the same thing. He puts guys to sleep. It's another day at the office for him.

[Megan Morant]

And it's very interesting because I don't think that we've had many superstars like that in the wwe. You know, in the wwe, it's always been like, this is family, and this is this. And I'm doing this because of my passion, and I'm doing this because of my love for the game, my love for the sport, and my love for. We finally have somebody that's like, I'm going to work, and I'm gonna do the best. I'm gonna do a better job at work than anybody else does, and therefore, I'll make money, and I'm gonna bring it home. My family lives in my house, so I'm gonna go to work. I'm gonna do a great job. I'm gonna be the champion, and then I'm gonna go home to my family. And you're just like. The scary simplicity of that, to me, is what makes Gunther Gunther.

[Sam Roberts]

Yeah. Scary simple is hitting the nail on the head.

[Megan Morant]

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, so we were talking about. Speaking of family, we were talking about the mfts.

[Sam Roberts]

Yes.

[Megan Morant]

We were talking about Solo Sikoa. We were talking about the fact that he came to me into Saturday night's main event as a different sort of beast. I think that there's a clear distinction between Solo Sikoa's bloodline and this group of mfts, in the sense that Solo is not trying to be anybody else. He's not trying to fill in anybody else's shoes. This is truly his group.

[Sam Roberts]

I did love how the crowd tonight at the State Farm arena was chanting tamu bloodline I don't need.

[Megan Morant]

You know, that was. It's not nice.

[Sam Roberts]

No, it's not. It did. It did get a little bit of a chuckle out of me.

[Megan Morant]

You liked the Teemu bloodline?

[Sam Roberts]

I did.

[Megan Morant]

Okay.

It made me laugh. I loved watching Solo Sokoa walk into the arena, going through the metal detector with the United States Championship. The buzzer is going off. And he immediately waves it off.

[Megan Morant]

Yeah.

[Sam Roberts]

In the swaggy Solo way.

[Megan Morant]

He's very swaggy.

[Sam Roberts]

That he does. But what I love about this United States Championship version of Solo Sikoa is we've really spent, like, the last year seeing Solo in the velvet suit doing a lot of talking. We've seen Solo, you know, for the longest time, we were wondering what even is mft? We've seen him establish his bloodline, and now, as a champion, taking it to the next level with his mfts. And, you know, I. I did have some flashbacks when the mfts were putting the beat down on Big Jim of over a year ago. When Solo took out Jimmy uso.

[Megan Morant]

That's right. I mean, it was. And we. And we saw that. I mean, this match was. I mean, it was great in terms of the back and forth. We had Solo kicking out of an USO splash. We had Jimmy avoiding the Solo spike at one point. Jimmy goes to the top rope, and he does that like corkscrew.

[Sam Roberts]

I've never seen Jimmy uso move like that before.

[Megan Morant]

I know. And he lands on the entire group of them. I think that we have barely scratched the surface of whatever this tala Tonga is capable of, because in all my years, I've never seen somebody leverage his. I mean, Talatanga lifted his leg above the apron and pushed it behind Solo to leverage Solo in that pin. I thought that was absolutely phenomenal. But what I thought was really cool was after Solo, Sikoa won the match. After Solo's group completely wipes out Jimmy Uso. Jimmy uso is gone. Here comes Jacob Fatu. Jacob Fatu is now looking down the barrel of four of the fiercest men that could possibly be looking at him in the wwe. And what does he do? He comes out there without an ounce of fear, and he takes them out in pairs to the point where he is the last man standing. He takes out JC Mateo and Tagaloa in the ring by just going corner to corner to corner to corner to corner. The speed on this guy and Sam.

[Sam Roberts]

Then what did he do?

[Megan Morant]

Well, then he did that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Then he did that Samoan shuffle that he's really, really good at. Then Talatanga comes in the Ring. And like, so Jacob was having a tougher time with. Talatanga brings the rope down. So again, using that leverage, Talatanga goes over the top rope. And just as Jacob sees Tala and solo together, he's able to take to the skies, jump on both of them. And using all these techniques that he's picked up along the way, Jacob Fatu stands above this entire group of mfts. You know, I don't know that every night will be Jacob's night the way tonight was, But, I mean, I love seeing Jacob in that true sort of leadership. I'm the guy you should be afraid of role.

[Sam Roberts]

Well, and you talked about us fantasy booking earlier in the show, and I think when Jacob fatu came to wwe, he was a guy that said, oh, now solo's version of the bloodline means more. Jacob Fatu is there, and he's been a guy who said, oh, I want to see solo versus Jacob. Oh, I want to see Jacob versus insert name here. After tonight, I'm saying, oh, wow. I really want to see Talatonga and Jacob Fatu.

[Megan Morant]

Yeah, I absolutely want to see it.

[Sam Roberts]

Yes.

[Megan Morant]

I think the reason you are so high on solo sikoa right now is that he comes into these situations with confidence.

[Sam Roberts]

Yeah, he does.

We don't have an update on Seth Rollins yet, but of course we're hoping for the best. I mean, you and I were talking about this a little bit just when we were sitting out on the floor. Evolution 2. And you know, there's A lot of young fans who grew up watching this. She was a little girl sitting on her couch watching Evolution 1. So I'm very excited for moments like that. And without Evolution one, we don't get the Roxanne Perez's, we don't get this generation of women's wrestlers that we have today.

And it's like imagine if you could tell a young Roxanne Perez that you're going to be able to walk into Evolution 2 as a champion who is friends with Dominic Mysterio. I mean that really.

[Sam Roberts]

All right, now you just took it a little.

Every young girl's dream watching the first Evolution.

[Sam Roberts]

Yeah. It all comes back to.

[Megan Morant]

To Dominic, the game that that could even be possible. Really? Yeah. And you're good to point that out. But I will say too, it's not just about the history of it. Cause that's a huge part of it. But it's also about the personal rivalry. And a lot of times Evolution, it's just kind of like it becomes even more than this history making night. It becomes a night where some matches are so personal that they don't care where they do it. Jade Cargill and Naomi are not entering in Evolution to make history. They are entering evolution to end the timeline of their opponent. That is what they want to do. I thought the moment tonight when you're going around the ring and there's Iyo sky at ringside and there's yeah, yeah, yeah, she's pointing to her head. And there's Rhea Ripley at ringside. Everybody's going nuts, by the way. Great crowd in Atlanta going nuts for this stuff. And then you see Jade Cargill and all of a sudden this very typical set of shots that WWE does where they're showing who's in the front row and everything just erupts when Naomi attacks Jade Cargill. And then Jade Cargill starts fighting back. And then Naomi's on the table and Jade Cargill's on the apron. And they start to figure out how are we going to keep this in line tomorrow at Evolution. And here comes Bianca Belair announced as the special guest referee, as if this thing needed more dirt under the fingernails.

[Sam Roberts]

Well, it's almost like we've all been so caught up in this animosity that Jade Cargill and Naomi have for one Another that dates back before WrestleMania when Naomi became a tag team champion because she's the one who attacked Jade Cargill to take her out. She is the one that left Jade Cargill on the windshield of a car completely battered and. And bruised. And Bianca was in the middle here. She was friends with Jade. She's also been friends with Naomi. And we've never really found out where Bianca stands in this situation.

[Megan Morant]

You remember going all the way back to the elimination chamber, and Bianca being stuck in that chamber watching this collision happen in front of her face, and she didn't want to see it, and that's kind of propel. But, yeah, I mean, you could end up in a scenario where you just call it right down the middle. But I've got to believe that Bianca's got to pick a side tomorrow.

[Sam Roberts]

And Bianca is a experienced now. Special guest referee. We saw her special guest referee a match between EO sky and Rhea Ripley not all that long ago.

[Megan Morant]

So you're saying she already has her license, so they don't even have a. Before it was.

[Sam Roberts]

It was a big thing. She's. I don't know how to. I don't know how to be a referee.

You don't know how to be a referee?

I kind of think Naomi.

Whoa, you think Naomi's side. Oh, that would absolutely break Jade Cargill. But to see the big three end up like this is. I mean, I don't think it's wild. It's a wild scenario.

Because Drew McIntyre really always seems like the only person who has any reason. Well, that's what he says, wwe. No, no, I agree with him. Yeah. I mean, listen, last time that, that we did a show after a Premium Live event, I made an argument to. I didn't really think it was very nice of Cody Rhodes to throw his best friend Randy Orton into an Exposed turnbuckle. You told me that my argument had no merit. And guess what? On Friday night smackdown, Drew McIntyre came out, called out Cody Rhodes for doing the same thing. He is logical.

[Megan Morant]

I will tell you, Drew McIntyre did make the exact same argument as you. And I remembered telling you that your argument had.

[Sam Roberts]

I was watching the show and I'm thinking, did I make this up? Why would he tell me that Drew's onto something? Well, there is two great minds think alike, but I never thought in a million years that I would ever think like, you know, maybe Logan Paul's onto something. I never thought I would think that. He comes out with Drew McIntyre. Suddenly I go, huh, you know, maybe Logan Paul has a point about this whole celebrity thing.

[Megan Morant]

I mean, this. I think you'd fall for sleight of hand magic easily. What? Logan Paul saying that outsiders shouldn't be allowed in a ring because it's for us.

[Sam Roberts]

Well, Logan Paul was once an outsider and he's paid his due. I mean, paid his dues a little bit, but he's not showing up for one match.

[Megan Morant]

Look, he has had a lot of matches. Logan Paul's a great athlete. But I mean, the idea, arguably, and.

I don't even know if this, you need to argue it, probably the best celebrity wrestler that's ever been in the company.

I'll say that argument has no merit. But, but no, no, no, no, no. It's got merit. Thank you. If there's one thing to learn from the I say that an argument has no merit conversation is that usually nobody should ever listen to me. I don't even know why, why I do this, but, but I, I would agree with you that the LOGAN Paul, Drew McIntyre Friendship is one that has caught me completely off guard. What it else has caught me completely off guard is watching Jelly Roll get physical. Jelly Roll is a nice guy.

But I did notice that to me, especially when I feel like there keeps being conversations about Randy Orton getting distracted. Randy Orton hesitating. He kept getting distracted from the mission with Drew McIntyre by focusing on Logan Paul and I'm like, randy, like, focus on the task at hand here. Deal with Logan Paul if you have to.

He's just such a Pest.

No, I get it, I get it. You're not wrong about that either. I thought it got physical right away. Dumping each other on the table and whatnot. I loved it. I love that kind of physicality. But I think the first moment that caught everybody off guard was probably Jelly Roll shoving Logan Paul on the ground.

I didn't know Jelly Roll had linhm.

No, me neither, me neither. After, you know, chicanery and distractions, Randy Orton sees his spot. RKO. Randy Orton wins the match against Drew McIntyre. But then Logan Paul comes in and this chain of events was very, very interesting. Randy Orton wins. Logan Paul comes in and he's able to knock out Randy Orton. Logan Paul's got that power of the punch and he knocks out Randy Orton. Bit of a sucker punch. Randy didn't see his.

No brass knuckles. But he's got that punch and he's on the ground and he's hitting Randy and he's hitting Randy. And then who comes in to save the day? Who's able to knock out Logan Paul?

Jelly Roll.

But Jelly Roll. Okay, Jelly Roll. Grammy award winning artist Jelly Roll knocks out Logan Paul. And then just when I was like, man, celebrity interaction has gotten really wild in wwe. Out of nowhere, Jelly Roll eats a claymore. And I'm like, I did not have on my bingo cart. When WWE goes, yeah, we're inviting Jelly Roll out, I go, well, that's really smart. Everybody loves Jelly Roll. He's a, he's a great performer. He'll sing his songs, maybe he'll come to the ring with Randy Orton. Everybody would be happy to see Jelly Roll. I did not expect a full on claymore to make contact with Jelly Roll's face. He ate it completely and leave him lying out flat. And Drew did not. It wasn't a celebrity Claymore either. It wasn't a, it wasn't a. I'm going to pull my claymore just a little bit because Jelly Roll hasn't gone through the proper training. It was get out of my ring.

Yes, I am giving you this Claymore. We are not messing around.

[Megan Morant]

Leave, leave. And then.

It's like a little bit of a southern accent.

Hundred percent. But then as they're trying to figure out what's going on and the general manager, I mean, obviously the general manager is going to be upset. Like Nick Aldis doesn't want to invite celebrities on his show and then the celebrity is going to be worried about getting Claymore edge like That's a tough.

Position for him to be in extending the invite.

Right. So he's upset. They're going back and forth and finally we settle on. We don't have it official. There hasn't been a graphic, but the challenge was made. Randy Orton, Jelly Roll, which I believe they called RK Roll. Is that what they called it? RK Roll. RK Roll, right. RK Roll has made the challenge. That's true. To face Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam.

No, no. Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre do not have, I guess the truth, except our truth. Ron Kelly's might have a little problem with that. We'll figure it out. We'll figure it out. When you talk about celebrity interaction and the way it should be done, I think that this is the way to do it. To get Randy orton and Drew McIntyre involved as well and to find people like Logan Paul and Jelly Roll that will clearly like put everything into this.

Well, I thought coming off of Friday night Smackdown and Logan Paul's promo. Yeah, like that was an excellent promo. I mean out of this world. And now to have the match between Drew and Randy and to see RK Roll, I think so team up, we're gonna get hopefully something at SummerSlam.

Well, it was a fabulous moment and there were many, many fabulous moments tonight at Saturday night's main event. And who knows, some of those moments will be captured via Topps Now. Of course, Topps now has made all kinds of cards. You've gotten the card of Ishowspeed getting speared by Bron Breaker. You got in the card of John Cena winning the 17th world title. That's what they do. Tops now will put this moment on a trading card very limited time. I think you got like three days to buy it and if you buy it, you'll get it and if you don't, it's gone forever. Now when you're getting the Tops now cards. Of course, a few lucky people will get the. Will get the parallels, the refractors. Maybe there'll be some autographed ones as well this weekend. Make sure you're following ops on social and sign up for notifications so you don't miss out on any big moment cards. From what we just saw tonight at Saturday night's main event and what we're going to witness tomorrow to cause you better believe there'll be Topps now cards for Evolution. But that's not all. You know, I was looking at Topps social media and they were dropping some previews of what's to come. And what's to come is the Cactus Jack line from TPPs and from WWE, Topps Chrome, Cactus Jack. WWE is making its hobby debut. We saw a little bit of this at WrestleMania. Completely different set. Now this is the hobby set. Look for a wide variety of chase parallels of autographs, case hit inserts. It's all within the 100 card base. 100 card base set. You can find your favorite WWE Superstars of past, present and future. You can look for randomly inserted autographs. The chases include, like Astro Nights. Yes. Festival Fury, Famed Phantoms, Rodeo Rebels. Pre order get this is happening on July 14th. Get in on the pre order July 14th with a launch that is coming later next month. I can't wait to see it. Topps is just delivering. Who knows, Maybe I'll buy a box and I'll bring it to open up with my friend Hunter Hearst Helmsley. You never know. You never know. The knife will come out of you.

It is a little bit of a bummer because there's been so few Dominik Mysterio as Intercontinental Champion moments. So it's kind of tough to make a card when there's something.
