I'll head on American Sunrise. You're fired. President Trump looking for a new attorney general this morning after giving Pam Bondi the pink slip. So why the sudden DOJ shakeup? And who could be the next to lead the department? We will discuss. Plus, war games. Iran bracing for a possible US Ground invasion, ramping up defenses and war preparations across key strategic sites. Tehran is literally strengthening missiles, laying mines and mobilizing civilian support as tensions with Washington escalate. Where will the conflict head from here? And later on this Good Friday, Christians around the world pause to remember the sacrifice that changed history forever, Jesus on the cross and God's message of redemption. Those stories and more as American Sunrise starts on a wonderful very good Friday right now. Good morning America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.

He's in Washington, D.C. terrence Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning. Happy Good Friday. Happy Easter. Passover weekend. It's a special one.
Terrence Bates
It is definitely a special weekend.
Jim Mosley (Bible History Guy)
Good morning.
Terrence Bates
Good morning to both of you guys. So look, I just want to jump right into it if you guys don't mind, because there's a lot of news to chew on, if you will. First, David, you mentioned it kind of at the top. Pam Bondi is out as attorney general. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche is now in. He is taking over for the time being. But the rumor mill also has it that President Trump is reportedly considering Lee Zeldin, the current EPA administrator, to ultimately fill that seat. Let's start there. What do you this all came somewhat suddenly.
David Brody
Well, maybe we can tag team it. I know, Gina, you've got a few things to say about what's going on with Tina Peters. I guess I can take Pam Bondi.
Terrence Bates
Get to that.
David Brody
First of all, if it's Good Friday Today it was bad Thursday for Pam Bondi. I mean, there's no doubt about that. Look, she's gone. And what are some of the reasons? Let's just be. Let's just cut to the chase. A lot of people are gonna say part of it was the Epstein files. And that's true. That's true. I mean, when you come out with the binder and you give it to the right wing, or the right wing, I hate to call them, right, see, I'm getting corrupted by the liberal media. When you give it to social media influencers and say, here's the binder, and you expect George Clooney, and instead you get Dom DeLuise, you've got a problem. And so that was the beginning of the end for Pam Bondi. And then when you don't prosecute Letitia James, and when you don't prosecute James Comey and you go down the list. Look, flattery is a good thing. When you want to get in with Trump, I mean, there's no doubt about it, he likes the flattery, but he likes actions more. And she didn't do what he needed her to do. And she's out, Dr. G. Yeah, but
Dr. Gina
she's out with a lot of compliments from Donald Trump. And in fact, that's the reason why I mispredicted this all the way around. Our audience, though, I want to give them total kudos. Our entire chat, every single day was full of the fact that they believed that it was time for her to go. And I didn't think it was gonna happen because I kept seeing Donald Trump everywhere they went, complimenting her backward and forward. So that's just an interesting little, I don't know, psychological factoid, I guess. But I do think that the Epstein files, we need a lot more attention on them. And I'm very discouraged that current acting AG Todd Blanche says there is no evidence that Epstein was a spy to anyone or any government. That is a quote that I posted on X yesterday. It's not even that he said it or even if from what he can tell, it's true. It's that he decided that's what was going to make news. Right? It's that. That's what he wanted to point out. Not, my goodness, the Epstein files were mishandled. It all needs to be brought back. I'll tell you, MAGA is just not going to let this issue go away. And for those who don't believe me, all you have to do is look on X or look on Getter or look in our chats any day of the week. And I can tell you the Epstein files have not seen their last day and north should they have?
Terrence Bates
Hey, Dr. Gina, want to give you 20 seconds to sound off on the Tina Peters latest news. Basically, a Colorado appeals court has said that she should be re sentenced. It's something that you've been fighting for. You've been keeping front and center for most of us. So 20 seconds, please.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, well, I thought it was really good news and I was really excited about it until I texted my Tina Peters reliable people inside her campus and they tell me this is in fact not a good thing at all and that this will mean that she's back in a court that will not rule in her favor, that if anything, this was a way to insulate her case from a pardon from Donald Trump. So this is not good. And this Good Friday, while we are all with our families, we need to be praying for this Gold star mom.
Terrence Bates
All right. We will absolutely get those prayers in. And I think that's a great transition to our Bible verse.
Dr. Gina
Dr. Gina yeah. Luke 23 verses 44 and 45. Now, it was about the sixth hour and there was darkness all over the earth until the ninth hour. Then the sun was darkened and the veil of the temple was torn in two. This is the fulfillment of prophecy. And this is something, this Bible verse right here is so special because this is something that atheists, historians, right. This has been written in so many different forms of history, documents that have been found throughout all of history that have nothing to do with the Bible, nothing to do with Christianity. And yet it's very provable historically that this actually did happen. And that's one of the ways we know, we know exactly what happened that day. The historic proof of Jesus is irrefutable. President Trump announced that Attorney General Pam Bondi, as we told you, is leaving the Justice Department for a private sector job. Trump posted on Truth Social that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch will serve as acting AG for right now. The move comes amid reports that Trump had grown frustrated with Bondi, while EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has been discussed as a possible permanent replacement. Let's bring in RAV Chief White House correspondent Brian Glynn. Brian, I'm curious your thoughts on Lee Zeldin.
Brian Glynn (RAV Chief White House Correspondent)
Well, I stood behind Lee Zeldin at the last cabinet meeting last week and I've always been a fan of Lee Zeldin. I think he's a level headed individual. I think he obviously I feel like he's maga. I feel like he's America First. I feel like he's done a good job at his position right now, but I don't know his, his credits as far as to be the next Attorney General. And I, I agree with you, Dr. Gina. I personally have been in the room, either in the Oval Office, a cabinet, or just recently in Memphis, when President Trump openly praises Pam Bondi for the job that she's been doing, securing and making our city's chiefs safer. But so when this came out of nowhere yesterday, I think all of us, I didn't quite have this on my bingo card, but yet I've come to the unpredictable is predicted in this administration. So it doesn't surprise me that it happened. But now, where do we go from here? If you look at Todd Blanch, I mean, obviously the two, both Bondi and Blanche, have been working together. So does the DOJ and the Attorney General position, does it automatically overnight, you know, take a different direction? No, it's the same Attorney General position that it was yesterday. So we'll see if that laundry list of things. And Dr. Gina, I agree with you. If you go on get her and you go on X, you go in the chats, I'm with you, maga, I'm with you. They want accountability for a laundry list of things. So let's see if it changes direction. I'm not sure if Lee Zeldin is the right person for this. I don't know. I'm not going to say yes. Don't they, I don't know enough about his legal experience to take on to be Attorney General. But, man, did we not get a surprise yesterday. And I'm happy that Pam Bondi, that she did get praised publicly by President Trump for being a good person and being, you know, a team player. And just in all these wonderful things, I wish her the very best in the private sector.
David Brody
Yeah, I feel like she's, you know, what Trump typically does is he'll praise you, you know, on your way out, you know, say thanks for your service. I mean, it doesn't surprise me necessarily that he did that. Lee Zeldin is an attorney, by the way, so. Or I should say, well, no, he is an attorney. He was. He went through the New York Bar association there. So we should point that out. Let me ask you, Brian, about this Washington Post headline, Trump endorsing the Republican plan to end the DHS shutdown. So basically, Trump wants ICE and Border Patrol funding by June 1st through reconciliation. I mean, good luck on Capitol Hill trying to get, I mean, reconciliation is tough to begin with. And now you're trying to get it done by June 1st. So bottom line, I guess, is this DHS funding bill will have everything in it other than ICE and Border Patrol funding.
Bo Davidson
Yeah.
Brian Glynn (RAV Chief White House Correspondent)
And what's interesting to point out is Johnson is now trying to convince his conference to vote on something that a week ago he called a joke. So you've got conference members, which they were on a three hour conference call, I believe, yesterday, discussing this. And what they're also doing is looking at the Save America act that's currently in the Senate now through reconciliation. They are looking at it there Now. What people need to realize is there was. There's an unelected position there in the Senate. The Senate parliamentarian is an individual that was there through the Schumer years as well. This person can completely just rip up, throw it out and say that this, this reconciliation in terms of the Save America act doesn't fit the legal code, doesn't fit the bylaws, for whatever reason. So you've got an unelected person that can completely rip up any changes in this Save America Act. So you've got two things going on right now. And I think the Republicans in Congress on the congressional side are kind of playing a game of chicken to see. Well, let's see how the Senate moves on the Save America act before we automatically send this back to them for a vote. It's complicated, but here's a. The bottom line, David, why couldn't we just get rid of the filibuster? And if we just got rid of filibuster like President Trump wants, all of this just goes away. We get things funded, we get things approved. We codify Trump's executive orders. My goodness. We can send a rocket around the moon, but we can't fund our federal government. We can send a rocket around the room, but we can't secure our elections. We can send a rocket around the moon and we can't free Tina Peters.
David Brody
Listen, I get it, but just so you know, I mean. Well, you know, the deal, they didn't have the votes. I mean, you know, I mean, I mean, I don't know. I mean, I get it, but, you know, Thune can call for a filibuster vote and then he'll be three votes short. I mean, you're not gonna get McConnell, you're not gonna get. Go ahead, what were you gonna say?
Brian Glynn (RAV Chief White House Correspondent)
I. I think he's hoping. I think Thune hopes that the Senate parliamentarian kills all of this so he has someone to blame.
David Brody
Yes.
Brian Glynn (RAV Chief White House Correspondent)
On this as well. Here's a conspiracy theory that I want to throw out there on this Good Friday. What if, follow me here. What if President Trump assigns Ken Paxton to be Attorney general? I don't know if the confirmation hearings would go as well, but let's just say we could. That frees up his, his, you know, indecisiveness on who is going to endorse in the Texas Senate race. Cornyn would be a shoe, a shoe in. So it get him off the hook as far as having to endorse one of the candidates. That's just a conspiracy theory that the people in the chats can debate.
David Brody
What just, I'm sorry guys not to have the conversation. Just, just one, one problem with that, which is confirmation. There's no way he's getting 50. He's not going to get 50 Republican votes. Paxton would not get 50 Republicans. Absolutely not. So he would never be confirmed.
Dr. Gina
All the fun. David Brody.
David Brody
I'm sorry,
Dr. Gina
we were going to have a fun chat debate over that and Brian pitched it out there. So beautiful. And you just. Okay.
Brian Glynn (RAV Chief White House Correspondent)
Davis, the voice of reason. It's kind of fun. I love playing like fantasy politics.

What could they do?
Brian Glynn (RAV Chief White House Correspondent)
But you know, it's fun. But look, at the end of the day, let's just make sure we have an attorney general in there that can really follow what the American people want.
Dr. Gina
What MAGA wants an attorney general in there that is going to follow up on the. Epstein, sorry. I'm going to be nice today. It's Good Friday. I'm going to be all cheerful, but. Yeah, you're right. Brian Glenn, thank you so much.
Terrence Bates
Ken Paxton's Attorney general will be interesting though. Go ahead, Dr. G. That would be interesting.
Dr. Gina
Phenomenal, but we won't get it. All right, Brian, thanks. Happy Easter.

It's going to be so cute. I can't wait for you to see it. Also later, Israel says it has destroyed an IRGC ground force base in Tehran and is now targeting mobile command centers as the conflict with Iran intensifies. This is a major turning point. Perhaps we have expert analysis ahead on American Sunrise.

The country has a new interim US Attorney General this morning after President Trump fired Pam Bondi on Thursday. He made it official in a true social post Thursday writing, we love Pam and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector sector. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche will now serve as Acting Attorney General until Bondi's full time successor is selected. There's talk that EPA Commissioner Lee Zeldin may actually be on the President's shortlist for Attorney General. Bondi's departure follows months of scrutiny over the Justice Department's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. Among other things, President Trump says he'll sign an emergency order to pay all employees at the Department of Homeland Security. The move could happen as soon as today. Tens of thousands of DHS employees have been working without pay since mid February as Congress has failed to reach a funding deal. Taking to Truth Social On Thursday, the president announcing the upcoming payment saying that he is taking charge of the situation. After the Senate cleared the way for the House to pass a DHS funding bill through September 30th. The measure would end a nearly seven week partial government shutdown. While the House met on Thursday, the chamber failed to vote on the funding bill. Meantime, brand new DHS Secretary Mark Wayne Mullen praising President Trump for working to ensure that, quote, hardworking men and women across DHS are paid. Happening today, the White House is set to release President Trump's 2027 budget. The spending plan is projected to boost defense spending to one and a half trillion dollars, which would mark the largest increase for the military in decades. The Commander in Chief's appetite for sending more money to the Pentagon comes amid plans to modernize the military for 21st century threats. While the President's budget highlights his priorities, Congress will handle federal spending issues and will decide how to prioritize the president's ask. The budget considerations come as the nation is running a $2 trillion annual deficit and the national debt stands at over $39 trillion. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony standing by with what you can expect from coast to coast. The roller coaster continues. We just came out of weeks of really warm and unseasonable weather and now some places are dealing with snow and ice again, Tracy, say it ain't so. What's going on?
Tracy Anthony (Meteorologist)
Say it ain't snow, but yeah, it is. We're going to be dealing with winter weather across the northern half of the nation and then strong and severe thunderstorms that we've already been experiencing this week is going to roll into the holiday weekend. So definitely could have some trouble spots from Texas all the way to the Great Lakes. So several days of severe storm potential. Now, we still have record heat potential across the mid Atlantic. But then look at this. This is ice on Thursday. This is in Wisconsin. We do still have ice storm warnings in place, but this causes lots of tree damage, power damage. And we do have another system rolling through. So that system is going to spark the severe thunderstorms from southern Minnesota all the way down through Texas. We've got an elevated risk then into the Ohio Valley for Saturday. So, Terrence, anyone traveling this weekend, you're going to want the Weather Nation TV app so you can get the latest because you're either going to be dealing with storms or snow across if you're anywhere, actually east of the Rockies.
Terrence Bates
All right. Good to know. Thanks so much, Tracy. We'll check back with you next hour for our hometown forecast. By the way, folks, go to our various social media platforms, be it getter, rumble, YouTube, let us know where you're hanging out. And Tracy may hook you up with the hometown forecast. Up next, though, President Trump puts NATO on notice and Moscow fires back as the Kremlin calls the alliance hostile. The bigger question this morning is whether America is ready to keep carrying the heaviest load in Europe's defense. We'll break it all down for you.

That is the White House. As I look at the president's schedule today, I like how he has private what does it say here? I'm looking out of his schedule, says he has executive time and then he has policy time. It's like, it's just, you know, it's a time that he's doing stuff, which is Biden. Biden doesn't know anything about that, but this president does. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. All right, Iran ramping up military preparations and bracing for a potential US Ground invasion, fortifying defenses around key strategic sites. And they're also evoking national mobilization amid escalating tensions. That's all. According to the Wall Street Journal, Tehran is strengthening missile systems. They're laying mines and building defensive tunnels on critical islands as Iranian leaders warn they are going to resist any foreign incursion. The way they see it, analysts say any U.S. ground confrontation could be costly and protracted as both sides prepare for escalation. All right, let's bring in the founder of the Defense of Democracies. That would be our good friend Cliff May. Cliff, good morning. So what is your best guess here on ground troops? I mean, 50, 50. Also, here's the thing. If you want enriched uranium, obviously you have to go get it on the ground. And I'm assuming Carg island and other areas are going to be full of booby traps. So take us through some of this.
Cliff May (Founder of Defense of Democracies)
Cliff, it's complicated. And look, I would say the I'm going to go out on a limb and say I don't think there's going to be a ground invasion on the land of Iran. I just don't see the point to it. The only thing I could think of, I've talked to a lot of military experts. We have a military center. The, the coastline around the Strait of Hormuz may have a lot of weapons depots, that sort of thing. Maybe they, they want to take those and need to do it from land. But I don't know why they couldn't do it from the air. I'm not sure that this there aren't trying to kind of fool the Iranians into thinking one thing happens and instead it'll be something else very different. The current Pentagon in particular, I would say General Kaine is a, he has a special forces background. He tends to come up with clever and interesting and odd ideas that are hard to predict. For example, imagine him Saying to President Trump, you know what we'll do about Maduro? How would you like this? How about we send it into his residence, some special forces, and we just, I don't know, arrest him and bring him back to a jail cell in Brooklyn? You like that idea? Yes. I couldn't have predicted that. You could have predicted that. The best military analysts I know. So I, I would look for something like that. Carg island doesn't have heu. A highly enriched uranium on it. That's elsewhere and it's deep under rubble and you would need a lot. Some equipment to get at it. I don't think that's the case either. So there's more to come. You know, a very important bridge that was being used for military purposes was hit last night by. By yesterday by the US that's gonna make it difficult to move. As you mentioned earlier, they're recruiting children in this. And too much of the media saying, oh, they have young people in security roles. No, they're recruiting child soldiers. That's what they're doing. And when I say recruiting, I mean they're forcing them into it. So let me stop there.

Go where you wanna go.
Terrence Bates
I kind of do wanna follow you down that. But I guess to some degree paralleling all of this is that President Trump is continuing. Iran wants to make a deal. It appears that he wants diplomacy work. But is that really a foregone conclusion? Is diplomacy out the window? Is this thing ultimately going to simply be settled militarily?
Cliff May (Founder of Defense of Democracies)
Well, diplomacy with whom at this point, we don't even really.
Terrence Bates
Okay, and that's another question. Yes, that's another question.
Narrator / Announcer
Yes, what he said.
Cliff May (Founder of Defense of Democracies)
Look, to be honest, when he says they want a deal, the people of Iran want to deal with the people around a deal that will free them from their. From the despots who have been ruining their lives, killing them, jailing them, raping them, doing all kinds of terrible things for 47 years. That's what the people of Iran would like. But the people of Iran have no control. They're hunkered down and hoping that this comes out. In a way, I think that they can have a decent government after this regime collapses, which it may. Which it may do before too very long, if there are any. Are there negotiations going on? Yes and no. There are no direct negotiations going on. You know, notes can be passed to a Pakistani diplomat, and the Pakistani diplomat gives it to somebody who says he represents the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. It's very hard to see what if you look the president's speech of the night was pretty clear. He has very specific missions. He wants to get to the point where if there is a regime he'd rather there not be, that they can't develop nuclear weapons, not in the foreseeable future. No way.
Narrator / Announcer
They are running.
Cliff May (Founder of Defense of Democracies)
They have, they have. Their missiles have been destroyed and their capacity to build missiles in particularly long range missiles, missiles that could reach Europe, could reach the US that's been destroyed. Drones are harder because they're very cheap to make, so there's loads of them, but they're going to destroy as many as they can, and as many in the. The regime will fire as many drones as it can.
David Brody
Yeah.
Cliff May (Founder of Defense of Democracies)
Other weapons are also going to be destroyed at the end. The idea, look, we'd like this regime to be defanged. If at the end of the day, the fangs are filed down a long way, that may be enough for the President. He'll decide, I would say, over the next two or three weeks.
Dr. Gina
Russia's reacting. After President Trump suggested the U.S. could try to leave NATO, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Pesky described NATO as a hostile alliance. Any U.S. exit would face a legal hurdle since current law requires Senate approval or an act of Congress for a president to be able to withdraw from NATO. Do you see him trying to withdraw from NATO? Do you think this is a realistic threat?
Cliff May (Founder of Defense of Democracies)
Look, I hope he doesn't want to withdraw from NATO, that he's simply reading them the riot act. I'm pro NATO. I'm pro Atlanticist. That said, many of our NATO partners have disappointed us dreadfully. Not all of them. I would say that about the Czechs have been good. The Finns joined NATO because they want to be aligned with the US After, I don't know, a century or so of neutrality. The Swedes did the same thing. But then you have Macron saying, well, you know, the Strait of Hormuz, maybe we can settle that diplomatically. What does he mean by that? He probably means paying the regime money for the regime to allow commercial shipping to pass unmolested without being attacked by drones or fast boats, which we're destroying and other things. You don't want to do that. This Strait of Hormuz is not an Iranian river. It's an international waterway. The freedom of navigation is a basic international law. If the Iranians can seize and occupy the Strait of Hormuz and charge tolls, and so can the Houthis for shipping in the Red Sea, and of course, the Strait of Taiwan comes into play. But it would be, but listen, if, if NATO should collapse, Putin will open the Soviet champagne he has stored in his basement. And I would say that Xi Jinping in Beijing would say that's good. If they can't have an Atlantic alliance, and I bet they can't maintain a Pacific alliance, that makes it easier for me. So I think we have a right to be concerned about a lot of our NATO members, Spain, others. But I don't want to see it fall for sure.
David Brody
Cliff May, great to have you. Thank you for being here on this Good Friday. Appreciate it.
Terrence Bates

I'll tell you before Epstein, I almost didn't believe any conspiracy theories. But Epstein reading through those files with my own eyes convinced me otherwise. Welcome back to American Sunrise. A Good Friday to everyone. I am Dr. Gina. Thank you for joining us. Time now for today's health news sponsored by the Wellness Company under the Microscope. Today, the Trump administration is launching this is what happens when I drink a lot of coffee. Launching a new effort to track microplastics in drinking water and in the human body. The plan announced by the EPA Health and Human Services Secretary, RFK Jr seems to better understand how these tiny plastic particles may affect our health. I know you guys have been reading about this. I've been reading about this My kids have been all over me about microplastics since before I even honestly took it seriously. That's a great thing about kids. They teach you so much, don't they? Microplastics have now been detected in tap water across the country and even in human blood and organs. But scientists still don't fully know their impact. This is why it's important to have a whole house filter. If you don't talk to me about that. Federal agencies will expand testing and data collection, laying the groundwork for possible future regulations. Officials say the goal is to better understand the risk first and determine what actions may be needed. Let me tell you, actions needed, right? Microplastics in our food also. I mean, I literally threw out my microwave. I do not have, I do not own a microwave anymore. I don't microwave anything. But especially don't microwave plastic ever, ever. Food and plastic. Try not to even buy things that are in plastic. If you're out to dinner and someone offers you a plastic container to take your food home in, ask them if they have anything else. Just can you wrap it in tin foil and let me put it in a bag and take it home? There's just so many ways to try to avoid them, but especially the big one I think is water bottles in your trunk. You know, you're taking the kids to baseball, you got a case of bottled water in the back of your car and you forget about it and it stays in there and gets hot, throw it away. And also don't forget our furry friends. Don't feed them microplastics either. The Trump administration has. They get bottled water too, right? They get bottled water too. Trump administration has bought a lot of positive changes when it comes to fixing our broken health care system. The reality though, there's only so much the government can do. So if you want to make America healthy again, it's going to start at home with you. And that's where the wellness company comes in. You see and hear from their doctors all the time. Dr. Gina
So are they themed? Because I know the Brody family themes. A lot of your parties.
David Brody
Yeah, we do a lot of theme park. But Easter, it's already a theme, so it's Easter.
Dr. Gina

David Brody
No, I don't dress up. I don't dress up.
Dr. Gina
We kind of dress up for Easter. Yeah, I mean, you know, you come from Easter Sunday, church and whatever. So we kind of. We kind of like to dress up and make it a really formal affair. Very formal table setting. In fact, these are behind me are some of my decorations. I made little cabbage vases from flowers on the table. And yeah, we do it up.
David Brody

Dr. Gina

David Brody
We ain't hiding. Jesus. All right. This week, the U.S. supreme Court ruled 8 to 1 in favor of a Colorado therapist challenging the state's ban on conversion therapy for minors. Justice Neil Gorsuch said lower courts applied the wrong First Amendment standard and sent the case back for reconsideration under a more demanding constitutional review. In a shocking move, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was the lone dissenter. I'm being facetious. Let's now bring in the president of the American Principles Project. That would be Terry Schilling. Terry, I know you and Ketanji Brown and Jackson hang out often, so thanks for taking time away from your busy schedule with her. Listen, we should make it clear that technically, the court's ruling doesn't actually strike down the law. It just sends the case back to a lower court. But of course, that lower court's most likely going to strike it down because it's got this higher constitutional threshold. So I'm curious about your reaction to this. Good morning.

And actually, it's necessary to save the lives of these children, to give them

Narrator / Announcer
So on one hand, the radical left supports sex changes for kids and wants that legal. And we saw this played out with Ketanji Brown Jackson in the Scaremetti case,
Brian Glynn (RAV Chief White House Correspondent)
where she ruled against the states being

able to restrict these types of procedures solely to adults. She said the states don't have that constitutional authority, but she also says that the states have the constitutional authority to prohibit speech and people talking. It's absolutely atrocious. Welcome back everyone. I'm already through my first cup of coffee and I'm in dire need of a second. And that's where coffee pods make it easy. Most of them are just caffeine and nothing else, but rejuvenate pods are actually built differently. God bless the USA. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
Terrence Bates
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's now time for our moment of faith, which is brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible in focus. Today on this Good Friday, we remember the day that Jesus Christ went to the cross for the sins of the world. As Isaiah 53. 5 declares, he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. At Calvary, Jesus displayed perfect love, perfect obedience and the perfect sacrifice. It was a day of suffering and sorrow, but not without hope, because through his death came our salvation. Good Friday stands as the powerful reminder that God's love was poured out for all mankind. Here to help us analyze this is our good friend Jim Mosley. He of course, is the author of Duke of D.C. the American dream, Discovering Jesus Disciples, who they were, what they believed, and what they achieved. Jim also co wrote a book with Dr. Gina called the Days of Creation by Heart and teaching children how God made the world. And it doesn't stop there. Jim has a brand new book out called the New Passover of the Messiah, A Journey with Jesus Through His Final days on Earth. Around here, though, we simply call him the Bible history guy. Jim, good morning.
Jim Mosley (Bible History Guy)
Good morning.
Terrence Bates
So look, this weekend is really about relationship. It's God going on the cross for us, Jesus going on the cross for us and absolving us of our sins, taking our place. It's about relationship.
Jim Mosley (Bible History Guy)
Well, it certainly is. And we see a lot of relationships developing on the cross itself. We see when it gets dark, Jesus looks down from the cross and sees the disciple that he loved, John, the only disciple still there. And when he looks at him, he's able to say, behold your mother and put Mary into his care and woman, behold your son. So there's that relationship. We see him also the relationship with the thieves on the cross. He, you know, he promises one of them that they'll be together in paradise that day it gets dark at 10:38am actually around 11am it stays dark until 2am and while it's dark, he intercedes for his murderers. He says, father, forgive them, for they know what they do. So he's showing us the depth and the. And the greatness of the relationships, even while he's suffering.
Dr. Gina
Jim. Dr. Jim, I want to ask you one of my greatest struggles as a mother at Easter, especially of adult children. They're not all adults, but they're really close. But I just want to ask you, how do you keep Jesus in your celebrations of Easter over the weekend? Specifically, you know, Easter dinner? I really. I struggle with this because I want that day to be very holy, but I don't want to, like, be that mom. That's like, okay, we're just going to read Scripture for three hours. Do church together. Yes. Have a meal together. Yes. But how does your family demarcate that day?
Jim Mosley (Bible History Guy)
Well, I think one of the things that we've always done is we talk about the joy that we feel and also the deeply moving gratitude that we feel for the resurrection because, you know, Jesus on. On Wednesday of the week before he was crucified, told everyone, told his disciples he was going to die on Friday. Passover was supposed to be a happy celebration, but it was a pretty gloomy celebration celebration for the disciples because they knew that doom was right around the corner. And Jesus kept changing things. But as he changed things in the Passover and finally fulfilled everything, we see the tremendous joy that we got. So, you know, I don't think that it has to be a somber ceremony. I think it has to be one of real. This is like the happiest celebration in the whole Christian calendar. And I think we get to enjoy
David Brody
it, you know, when.
Jim Mosley (Bible History Guy)
When we read in Revelation that he. There will be no more crying. That crying isn't weeping. That crying in Greek is. It means. It means wailing or crying out because he will wipe away every tear. Why will we have tears if there's no more wailing or death? Because we will look back on everything we've been saved from and feel such gratitude that we weep with joy. And I feel that's what Easter is like, you know?
David Brody
Jim? Yeah. That's great stuff. I mean, you know, Easter, let's be clear. Easter, Christmas, what's more important? No, no, no. The answer is Easter. I mean, it is clear. It is Easter. I mean, if it's not Easter, put it this way, Christmas just becomes another birthday for a guy named Jesus if there's no Easter. So let's be clear about that. Also, can you talk to our audience, those that might not know Jesus in a real and personal way about why this is called Good Friday? Because for people that don't understand, they would say, well, I think actually it's a pretty bad Friday for Jesus. You know, he went to the cross and he suffered a vicious death. So why in the world would this be a Good Friday? Could you explain that?
Jim Mosley (Bible History Guy)
Because Jesus didn't just die on the cross at the hands of his executioners. He voluntarily gave up his life for us. And we can tell that from some of the evidence. For example, we see the Roman centurion who's standing there and he watches the land go dark. Now, by the way, it isn't only the gospels that tell us that. There are two Greek historians who also write about the land going dark and there being an earthquake at this. So this was something that people really saw. And it wasn't an eclipse. He saw that. He saw the other people dying with him. They had to have their legs broken so that they could be able to continue to breathe so they would die. But he looked at Jesus and Jesus just gave up his life. And that's when the Roman centurion made the pronouncement, this truly was the Son of God. He was not victimized. He was the one who allowed himself to die for our redemption. So that's a Good Friday, because Jesus knew what he was getting into. Remember when he had the Last Supper, the passovers? You well know, growing up Jewish, there are four cups of wine you drink. Jesus never drank the fourth cup. He knew what he was going to do on the cross. He refused wine when they put him on the cross. He refused wine during laying on the cross. And then at the end, he said, I thirst. And he drank the fourth cup, cup of the Passover and completed the new Passover, the Messiah redeeming us by saying it is finished.
David Brody
Christ in the Passover. Jim, that's a whole nother segment. We need to talk about that. Right.
Terrence Bates
And I kind of want to get into the book that you've just written on that as well. But unfortunately, we don't have the time for all of that. So next time I see you, maybe we'll have that conversation.
Dr. Gina
People will just have to read it. Terrence,
Jim Mosley (Bible History Guy)
There's a chart in the book that charts every single hour from Jesus trial to his resurrection. So it kind of gives you the story in a chart.
Dr. Gina
Right?
Terrence Bates
Oh, wow.
Dr. Gina
Thank you so much.

Coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise. Bye bye Bondi. President Trump has ousted Pambandi's attorney general. Straight ahead, what led up to the firing and who's in line to replace her? Plus, Capitol Hill gymnastics, the Senate sending another deal to the House after passing a bill to fund most of the Department of Homeland Security. Is an end to the longest government shutdown in American history in sight. Oy. Gevolt will have the latest and later free Tina Peters. Colorado's court of appeals throws out the nine year sentence given a former elections clerk, Tina Peters, but maintains her conviction is real justice on the way for her. We will discuss those stories and so much more as the second hour of American Sunrise starts on a very special Friday. It is Good Friday and we're starting right now. Good morning America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news, politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Tracy Anthony (Meteorologist)
And I'm Dr. Gina.
David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody. I'm coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G. She's in West Palm. T. Bates is in Denver in our newsroom there. Good morning to both of you guys. So happy. Good Friday. Good Friday to both of you. This is clearly not CNN because there's a cross behind you, Dr. G. So
Dr. Gina
don't tune into CNN to work for a company where I can say, hey, Parker, which is what happened yesterday, Zen Jr. I said, hey, I'd like to bring in some Easter things that are religious. Would you mind? And of course is the answer. I got back immediately with all of the emergency texts that Poor man gets every single day. And there was not a drop of thought. Of course you can. Can we expand the segment with Mosley? I said to our amazing production team, because I really want to feel the impact of the Easter weekend on the show tomorrow. Of course we will. So they move all the blocks around. This is not a simple thing to do from a production standpoint. Move all the blocks around. Let us have our time talking about our Jesus. I just. It's just an honor to work with this company every day, and I'm not brown nosing. I really mean this.
David Brody
No, I know, but you're selling CNN a little short. If they ask for a statue of bail, you know they would say yes. You know they would say yes.
Dr. Gina
I'm afraid I do. Yeah.
David Brody
Yeah.
Terrence Bates
Well, I think we all see that there's a bigger picture. We all see that there's so much more that we owe our audience. And so we are sharing. We are sharing our faith with the rest of the world and the rest of the country. And cooperatively, many in our audience are also sharing their faith. And so there's a bigger picture here, and there's a salvation that, at least for me, I'm trying to share with others, and I'll just leave it there because I'm here.
Dr. Gina
That's the most amazing part, Terrence. And thank you for pointing to that. This audience is amazing. And, oh, do they hold us accountable. I said something about wrapping food in foil. Oh, you never. I mean, the chat just ate me alive for that one. You're right. Foil is dangerous, too. I think unbleached paper might be our best option. Or just bring your own little glass Tupperware. I don't know when you go to dinner.
David Brody
And by the way, can I just say one thing real quick? Tbase, because you mentioned about salvation and the message of salvation, and we do talk about Jesus a lot here on the show. Well, here's the thing. It's in our Bible. It's a biblical commandment. It is the Great Commission. We are supposed to do that. So we're out here doing what God commands of us. And, you know, if people don't like it, well, you know that you can take that up with God, but we've got to obey what our Bible tells us to do.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, I think, David, though, it's so important to caution. Talk all day. Doesn't mean a thing. It's the action.
David Brody
That's right.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, that's right.
Brian Glynn (RAV Chief White House Correspondent)
Absolutely.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. All right, guys, we got to switch over, get a quick check of our forecast meteorologist Traci Anthony keeping an on eye on the skies for she also has your hometown forecast. Tracy, good morning.
Tracy Anthony (Meteorologist)
Hey, good morning. We're starting off this morning in Warwick, Rhode Island. That's kind of a tongue twister there. Diane was a little confused about her weather. Here's what we're looking at for the weekend. 60 degrees today, 64 tomorrow. We cool down a little bit on Sunday, but you could have a few rumbles of thunder Saturday and Sunday along with some rain as we do have a system that's going to roll on through. But hey, at least temperatures look to stay above freezing. But we could have a few nights next week that will be on the cool side. As for Cincinnati, Ohio, this is from Melissa on Getter. You have two days where you could have some strong to severe thunderstorms. So today and tomorrow, very important to stay weather aware. The Weather Nation app can help you with that. But then temperatures cool down to the 50s for Sunday. Now Low Jill in Lake of the Woods. California said they always get snow on Easter, but it looks like you're going to be dry and in the 70s here this year.
Dr. Gina
Low Jill.
Tracy Anthony (Meteorologist)
So looks like a pretty nice forecast. And it's going to be basically east of the Rockies where you have a chance for rain or snow. West of the Rockies, it's going to be calm, dry and quiet. Terrence.
Terrence Bates
All right. I'm glad I live on the west side then. West side. Anyway, good to see you. Have a great weekend. We'll talk to you on Monday. All right, let's get you over to David. David, I think that's the first time in my career I actually went hood and was like, west side here. Let me throw up the fingers, too. I'm gangsta. I think we determined that yesterday with
David Brody
an A. Yeah, I thought you said Saeed. But no, you were saying side. Sorry, my bad. Whatever. All right, let's get right to Steve Gruber. Should we do that, T. Bates? And let's bring in Dr. G as well, because joining us now is Steve Gruber. He of course hosts something called the Steve Gruber Show. I've heard of that show and it's very wonderfully named Steve. So, Pam Bondi, what do you think? I mean, did you see this coming or is that a rhetorical question? I just asked? I don't know. What do you think?
Narrator / Announcer
I don't think it's a surprise. Look, you look at Pam Bondi. She's had look, there's a lot of challenges in the Department of Justice and other parts of the government, because, look, it's so politicized in there. You have to get through all of these roadblocks and delays and side turns and so forth. But to be fair, the people that voted for Donald Trump have been pounding the drums for months now saying, where is the beef? How come nobody's in handcuffs? Who's being held accountable? And so I think a few things got in her way the day that she said, I've got the Epstein files on my desk and we're reviewing them. And then you had that whole stunt with social media influencers when they handed them a binder full of stuff that we had all seen before. You had that problem. You've got the problem with fraud in Minneapolis and fraud in Los Angeles and who's being held to account? Nobody. You know, you look at all these things, it wasn't happening fast enough. We learned now that she was apparently out before Donald Trump took the podium on Wednesday for that address to the nation. And according to the Daily Mail, here's something for you guys. This just crossed the wire in front of me. She may not be the last. There could be other shakeups coming. Names on the list include Howard Lutnick, the Commerce Secretary, Secretary Lori Chavez, De Reamer, she's your labor secretary. Even Cash Patel is on this list. Now, this is the Daily Mail, so I don't put a lot of stock in this, but they're using Politico and Axios as potential sources for some of the reporting here. Look, the president understands it is an election year, a critical midterm election year. So if you look at a Letnick, for example, Howard Letnick, who seems to have done, you know, reasonably well, but the economy now, where it needs to be. Affordability is the. Is the thing that Democrats are trying to sell. Donald Trump has to prove to the voters that, yes, I care about what you're paying for your groceries, I care about what your electric bill is. I care about how much money you're making, how much taxes you're paying. So that would not come as a surprise to me if he shows that he needs action and people to be held accountable. So Pam Bondi, she goes away. I don't know who the replacement is. I've heard Lee Zeldin's name pushed on. I'll tell you who I'd like to see. Can I do that?
Terrence Bates
Okay.
Narrator / Announcer
Yeah, absolutely. Here's a guy who I think is an absolute hammer. Eric Schmidt, the senator from the state of Missouri, is an absolute hammer. Who is the attorney general there. He's probably not on the list that that guy's a hammer who would come in and get things done. All right, that's my take on it.
Dr. Gina
My husband served with me, and that is a real depiction of him, Steve, and I know him very well. Tulsi Gabbard is another one I keep hearing might be on the chopping block. I honestly don't hope so. I like Tulsi a lot. I've gotten to know her. I didn't trust her at first. She proved herself. To me personally, that meant a lot. But don't you think it's. The Lutney thing is interesting. The other part of this that's very interesting, that I think we forget about is how well do these folks play in the sandbox with the rest of the administration. That's always a consideration. We don't necessarily hear the outsider. But I know David Brody. I know you hear those rumors back channel all the time. And some of these people might be going for that reason.
Narrator / Announcer
Yeah, well, David Brody spends a lot of time playing in the sandbox, my understanding.
David Brody
So he would have a pretty good.
Narrator / Announcer
Yeah, but you have to look at the political calculation here, right? Was the cat in the sandbox? You have to look at the political calculation here because it is an election year and Donald Trump, maybe the best politician of my lifetime, the way he's able to craft a message and bring people in and build coalitions. And so he has to be mindful, he does, of what people think about the economy. Now. The jobs number just came in. Boy, you should see their faces on cnn. Their jaws just flipped over. And so why they dented their sternums. 178,000. It was supposed to be 60,000. The jobs for January revised upward. Unemployment down to 4.3%. So there are good things happening. But people see the gas prices and they say, well, wait a second, this is not what we were promised. And so being mindful of that is important in election year. I think that Donald Trump's base is with him as much today as it was in November of 2024. I don't believe any of the rumors that, oh, his base is.
Brian Glynn (RAV Chief White House Correspondent)
Is leaving.
Narrator / Announcer
I don't buy any of that. He's solid at 43, 44%, always has been. The question is, how do you get that next 6%, 7% to make sure you don't lose the United States Senate? You know, the House is going to be a tough fight, but we'll see how that plays out. But it is. It is Donald Trump looking at the calendar saying, look, it's April. We've got about six months here to really get things moving and moving well or we're going to pay a price. I really think that's it.
Terrence Bates
Yeah.
Dr. Gina
Sorry, Terrence. Go ahead.
Terrence Bates
No, no, I was just saying, Steve dropping the science on us this morning and grocery prices.
Dr. Gina
Holy Moses. I was gonna buy some of those little chocolate Easter bunnies. I don't buy chocolate very often. I don't buy candy. It's just not a thing. Just for my kids to have fun. And $20 for a bag of chocolates. When did that happen? Okay, I'm done.
David Brody
Gotta go. But just horrible. I gotta go attend the cats in the sandbox. Thanks, Steve. Appreciate it.

Happy Resurrection weekend.

Don't forget to scan that QR code. You see it right there. Download the song. Rachel Holt joining me now to talk more about it. Congratulations. I love the song. Talk about the motivation.
Tracy Anthony (Meteorologist)
Well, this song is basically about just not standing down and standing up for what you believe in. And the song has a great beat, which is great for the message that we're Trying to get across here. So it's kind of like a rock country song here, but basically you just can't back down to everybody that's trying to tear you down.
Terrence Bates
And it seems to me, as I was listening to the lyrics, that it has so many different applications. Obviously, there's the application of no matter what comes at you, that you've got to find a way to find some ammunition to keep yourself going, to keep your. To be locked and loaded, if you will.
Tracy Anthony (Meteorologist)
Yeah, basically, you know, like, people can do what they want to you, but, you know, that just fuels the fire for you to push back even harder and just take a stand and not back down to them. And it can be applied in many different situations.
David Brody
You know, how have you applied it?
Terrence Bates
Even personally, I think some of the best music comes from our personal experiences. It comes from somewhere deep in our soul. Can you share how you've maybe applied it or how you've maybe found motivation even within your. Your personal experience experiences?
Tracy Anthony (Meteorologist)
Yeah. So basically, when I signed with my record label, the first song we put out was actually a pro life song together. And I, of course, I got hate for that, but I got support for that also. But, you know, that just gave me inspiration to not back down and to just keep putting out music that, you know, means something to people.
Terrence Bates
While this song is going to obviously climb the charts, I would imagine you're back in the studio or at least you're thinking of your next project. What else is on your mind? And how do you like kind of this new genre, this new platform, if you will, that allows you to tell stories and to express your art in ways that aren't necessarily the most popular.
Tracy Anthony (Meteorologist)
I love it. Just like Jason Aldean is doing kind of, you know, people try to twist his song and tear him down for it, but he also got a bunch of support for it. And we're working on about five new songs as well to come out before summertime here soon.
Terrence Bates
Can you give us an idea of what the themes of some of those songs are? I've got to ask.
Tracy Anthony (Meteorologist)
Well, I got a beach song coming for you, so that'll be a good one. But I've had this song in the works for about two years now. Year, Year or two. And, you know, I'm excited to finally put it out. Everybody's asking me when it was coming out, and we finally got around to it.

Yeah, I think for 25 years, starting from 1980 to when I started my company, I saw that we were doing tax optimization for the big corporations, the private equity firms, the Fortune 500 companies. And I didn't see that kind of tax equality in our country. So we started a firm, Engineered Tax Services, to ultimately bring that equality through accounting firms nationwide. That don't have the resources to tax credits, tax incentives, and grants. And I also saw during that time that the Fortune 500 take every grant. Believe me, Elon Musk, his companies are not here. Without the billions of dollars he took in grants, there's no way that he succeeds. But those grants are available to everyone. It's just that some people just don't know how to have access to them.
Bo Davidson
Yeah, you make a really good point because you've helped Fortune 500 companies access these grants. But there's this knowledge barrier out there where people just aren't aware of how many grants are available to them. So how does engineered tax services match individual to grant? Tell me about that process.
M
Yeah, I mean, we just use our technology to constantly search for new grants. Grants that are expiring. We post that daily. And ultimately, like I said before, it's like a little dating app. Right. So people come off, people come on, grants come on, they come off. But ultimately we're kind of seeing what your business is, what your foundation is, what your nonprofit is, and then trying to match it to the grants that come onto the platform. Get a match and then go execute. And ultimately, you know, it's a quick process. And I'm so glad that we're getting grants out to so many business owners, small business owners, minorities, women entrepreneurs. And it's been fabulous to see them take advantage of this, you know, even for women that have started foundations because their children have cancer or things like that.
Public Ad Read / Sponsor
Yeah.
M
And we're getting the grants for them. Or churches. We're getting grants for cities that can't clean up their water because they don't have any more tax money.
Terrence Bates
Wow.
Bo Davidson
Well, you know, obviously America is fueled by those small and medium sized business owners that you just mentioned, many of whom got hit hard by previous administration's tax policies, if we're being honest. What can those owners do now in terms of grants now that we've got a different system in place?
M
Yeah, I think. Listen, and when we started looking for grants, there was no chatgpt, there was no AI. That makes it a lot easier. I would tell everyone watching today, first, you know, get our grant book, you know, text 26786, text grants to 26786. That'll help you find grants, right? It'll help you find ways to find them. You can use any AI to find the platforms. And we'll work with you nonstop 24 7. We'll be your resource. We'll be like your grant department within your own business to find those grants. For you execute on those grants and make sure that you have that capital to start your business, grow employment, buy equipment, you know, help with the real estate that you're involved in, housing your business. So lots of opportunities.
Bo Davidson
You mentioned nonprofits. I thought that was a really interesting thing that you said earlier. If you are a nonprofit, are a myriad of grants available to you?
M
So many. So many. So we're helping nonprofits a lot in health, right. People set nonprofits because they've had someone with some illness, right. So they start the nonprofit. I see a lot of athletes that set nonprofits and foundations because they want to go back to their communities and help with employment. There's help bring jobs there. So, yeah, and we see these with technology, too, with nonprofits bringing technology to solve a problem. So I think it's so great that we're solving health, we're solving technology, helping employment through these nonprofits. Ultimately, these are great activities, but, you know, nonprofits always where they have an annual golf tournament or they have an annual gala, they raise money, spend it, and then start over next year. Right. With these grants, you don't necessarily have to start over every year. This can give you a lot of funding so that you can just have a breather and focus on the good cause and not always focus on finding money.
Bo Davidson
What's the biggest misconception out there, you think that exists about grants?
M
I think the biggest misconception is that one it's hard to get. No one knows where they exist, and they do exist, and it's easy to get them. So I think that's the biggest misconception. They're available, they're for everyone, and we can get them.
Bo Davidson
All right, Julio, so where can people text and what can they scan to go find out more about you and
M
what you can do for them? So just simply text grants to 26786. We'll send you my grant book, we'll give you some help, we'll put you on our grant matching system.
David Brody
Okay.
M
And we'll start looking for you. Perfect.
Bo Davidson
Well, thank you so much, Julio. We appreciate you as always.
M
My pleasure.
Bo Davidson
And back to you, Terrence, with the opening.
Terrence Bates
All right, go ahead and access those grants and see if you can't get a little extra money. Still to come here on American Sunrise, a nine year prison sentence now thrown into question. how to make hosting look effortless? Here's a secret. Getting ahead of the mess with new Reynolds Kitchens countertop prep paper. Just lightly wet the counter beforehand so the paper grips and stays in place. Then lay down the Reynolds Kitchen's countertop prep paper so drips and spills stay on the paper, not all over your kitchen counter. You can roll out dough, prep a party spread, or cook alongside family. When you're done, cleanup is as simple as lifting the paper and revealing that clean counter underneath. Effortless. You can use it for cooking and baking, prep and even crafting, especially when you need extra working space. Because when the mess is already handled, you can focus on what matters, the food, the people, and the moment. It may look effortless, but now you know it's Reynolds Kitchens countertop prep paper. Take a tip from me. Wet it, set it, prep it, done. Make it easy. Make it with Reynolds Kitchens countertop prep paper available now in the Reynolds Wrap aisle and Walmart. Dr. Gina
All right you guys, welcome back to American Sunrise this Good Friday. I am Dr. Gina. Thank you for joining us this morning. We invite you to hop in our conversation on YouTube. Getter and Rumble. It is time now to take the political pulse of America. Here's the beat today. The Colorado Court of Appeals has thrown out the nine year prison sentence for former election clerk Tina Peters. Peters, who was serving a nine year prison sentence for her role in a 2021 breach of election systems, will now be re sentenced after judges ruled the original trial court went too far. The appeals court left her convictions in place place but said the sentencing process itself was flawed, sending the case back to a lower court for a decision on punishment. Now this case has drawn national attention with President Trump and allies calling for her release, while critics argue the original sentence reflected the seriousness of compromising election integrity. Joining us now with reaction co host of Cowboy Logic here on rav, Donna Feduccio. Dana, I was excited to see this until I texted Tina's people and they told me this is actually a bad thing. Can you explain that to us?
Donna Feduccio (Co-host of Cowboy Logic)
I don't know if it's a bad thing, but it Goes right back to the same political judge. So what the heck. And this guy Matthew Barrett, he's a political hack. Absolutely. And Governor Jared Polis may be forced to put some heat on Barrett to commute this sentence and that will take Polis off the, you know, the radar there. Cuz they were saying he needs to do the right thing, but he's trying to save political face. So Judge Matthew Barrett basically has totally lambasted Peters and I just don't understand how this guy even is not looked at by Harmeet Dhillon. I agree with Mike Davis that she needs to look at the fact that Tina Peters civil rights have totally been violated. The judge persecuted her for her beliefs. I mean he said that her political beliefs and the Colorado Court of Appeals agreed that her political beliefs should have nothing to do with this. But the judge actually came right out and said that, you know, he was adding nine, you know, putting nine years on this because of her political beliefs. This is a shot across the bow. We're seeing it with J6ers, we're seeing it with the attacks on Donald Trump, we're seeing it with Tina Peters. Anybody who dares go against the deep state is going to get this. You better stand down, sit down and shut up. Meanwhile, Jenna Griswold who's the Secretary of State of Colorado has left, you know, some 60 some odd counties open with the passcodes on the Internet for weeks if not months. And she's running for ag. I mean it's totally upside down. So Barrett actually called her a danger to society and a charlatan. She's a gold star mom thrown in prison the night that her father died. They knew her father was in hospice. They threw her initially in prison for one night. He died that night. Her husband died recently. She herself is a cancer survivor. I mean come on. And you know what else? Dr. Gina, remember that person that they had an altercation. It was a much younger woman who I believe had some violent charges against her. That woman got put out on parole, was, has been let go. So in my opinion, I really think what they were trying to do was allow somebody to go after Tina Peters. And what would stop this from happening with another inmate? She's in her 70s for God's sake. So yes, it's a good thing. She's probably going to be re sentenced now. Her lawyer Peter Tickton said at most this is probably a misdemeanor and she served well over that time for a first time offender. For a misdemeanor I think it would be 12 to 15 months tops. And certainly she's a first time offender. It would have been a lot less, but we'll see what happens with that. And again, this whole thing with Jenna Griswold, the double standard Colorado is just really gotta get their act together here. But I agree with Mike Davis. The DOJ needs to look at her civil rights being violated. Harmeet Dhillon, are you listening?
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
David Brody
Yeah. Hey, let's talk about Harmeet Dhillon for a second. Who's on this list to replace Pam Bondi? She's one of many. What do you make of the fact that Pam Bondi is gone and who do you think would be a good replacement?
Donna Feduccio (Co-host of Cowboy Logic)
Well, I think it's too little too late, unfortunately. I think Harmeet is very strong in some respects. But, but I actually agree that Eric Schmidt from Missouri would be the best. The guy's a pit bull. He doesn't care. We know some of the other people in the DOJ that are just under Todd Blanche that have worked with the Jan Sixers. They're very capable as well. But I would like to see Eric Schmidt in there. Quite honestly, I think that he would really have to put things into overdrive or else we are going to be in bad shape for the midterms. I mean this is low hanging fruit. How can Tina Peters have nine years? How can what we're gonna about to talk about still have civil lawsuits against Donald Trump? J6ers who have been beaten on camera have sued and they have lost their lawsuits. And then you put a plaque up there for Capitol Police that basically shot down onto a crowd with rubber bullets and tear gas. The whole thing is upside down. But it's all a narrative that they have to keep going or else I think that house of cards, horse of cards, House of cards is going to fall.
Terrence Bates
Hey, want to get back to Tina Peters? Just really quickly. This recentencing as I've read it hasn't been scheduled yet. Is your expectation that the state of Colorado is going to try to drag this thing out and then potentially just give her time serving to let her out? How do you think all of this is ultimately going to play out? I have very little confidence, but I'd love to give you get your thoughts.
Donna Feduccio (Co-host of Cowboy Logic)
It wouldn't surprise me. You know what, it's sad but they want her to die in prison. It's pretty obvious she did the right thing. They picked a bright red county and they, they framed her. Basically the judge wouldn't let any of her information really be allowed in court. Again, very much like the J6ers Brady violations up the wazoo. So it wouldn't surprise me if they drag it out at all. But this also gives Polis the governor a little bit of a reprise because there was pressure on him to basically let Tina out. And so now if it gets thrown back to the judge, we'll see what happens. And I think again, this judge and many political judges really need to be looked at. This ag, our DOJ really has a lot of work ahead. Whoever it is, whoever is going to run it.
Dr. Gina
All right, changing gears to the year's long fallout from the events of January 6th. A federal judge allowing a civil suit brought against President Trump over his speech ahead of those demonstrations to move forward. This judge adds president's speech was not covered by the Supreme Court's immunity ruling. Donna, how far do you think this goes?
Donna Feduccio (Co-host of Cowboy Logic)
Judge AHMET Maida. Surprise, surprise. Never would have guessed. I have seen this man in action. We were at some of the Oath Keepers trials, stood behind him in the cafeteria. Very nice man. But I gotta tell you, he is a total 100% anti Trumper and 99% conviction rate is what happened in D.C. with all of these judges. So of course he said the immunity ruling was not a core presidential act. You know what I say be careful what you wish for though, because possibly could some of this mean Barack Obama did some improprieties or other previous presidents. This could open up a whole can of worms. Cuz this goes against the 2024 SCOTUS ruling. But where's Paul Harvey when you need him? The rest of the story, you know, they peacefully and you know, peacefully protest and patriotically go to the Capitol edited out and the BBC is being sued for that. I mean there's so many different angles of this. But if you have a media that's 98% against Trump after six or seven years, people start to believe this garbage. It's totally wrong scenario. I say dissolve the D.C. courts, which can be done. D.C. courts are totally out of control.
David Brody
Hey, Donna, let's go against the Supreme Court. What's that?
Donna Feduccio (Co-host of Cowboy Logic)
They're going against the Supreme Court ruling too. Judge Maida, you know, it's unbelievable. He was very critical. Judge Maida. Of Trump reaching out to officials in Michigan, Georgia and Arizona. Again, a shot across the bow to try to stop any election integrity. And you've got all the Democrats shouting, hey, look at this. The Democrats might actually, or the Republicans might actually steal this election. So they're admitting elections can be stolen. It's insane, totally insane. We got class action lawsuits against these J6ers. We'll see what happens with that. It was filed in Florida, so there's a chance. But, you know, Victoria White, who was repeatedly beaten on video, almost killed. She wasn't too far from Roseanne Boylan. She sued. She lost. Derek Vargas, who was pushed off the ledge and really seriously injured, he sued. He lost. And Joshua Black, who had his cheek shot out. He didn't even bother to sue. I mean, this is how bad things are. It's almost D.C. courts. The D.C. circuit Courts is worse, really, than the Southern District of New York. And they're both really pretty bad and very corrupt, very political.
David Brody
Yeah, Donna, quickly, we gotta get to this other J6 story here. It's a related note. On all of this, you have 46 individuals who were at the Capitol on that day. They're now suing police agencies that defended the building, seeking millions of dollars in damages for both physical and emotional injuries. Your take?
Donna Feduccio (Co-host of Cowboy Logic)
Well, they're seeking a jury trial. Again, it's in Florida, so they might have a chance there. But they claimed physical and emotional damage apparently was inflicted on them by law enforcement. Again, Capitol and D.C. police. The Metro Police shot down into a crowd with rubber bullets and tear gas. It was windy. They were too stupid to check the wind. And the tear gas blew right back in their faces, choking them. They want some $18 million, especially for the individuals who were struck by weapons and apparently exposed to the chemicals. If they would release the video, you would see what the J6 community has been talking about. There's a reason they don't want these videos to be released. You're supposed to give three audible sounds saying, you need to stop. You need to stop. Three audible exchanges were never heard. And then the police started firing down on the crowd later on that afternoon. Yes, audible exchanges. Disperse and leave. That was heard well after the fact. This was a total setup. The audible warnings were never heard initially. And again, there's a. This should be an open and shut case, but you never know because of six years of total lies. And that's what's so frustrating. How can you have six years of total lies and people believe the garbage? Because of the media, this whole thing, you know, why isn't Ray Epps in prison? He's actually on tape saying, oh, I might go to prison now. Okay. They overlooked him completely. It's so obvious. There were insiders. And we had people who admitted to being insiders on our show years ago. And now, you know, finally, the FBI says, well, there might have been 275 people there. Unreal.

And that would be Artillery Tea Company Founder Co Founder Mike Britton. Mike, Good morning.
Bo Davidson
Morning Terrence.
Terrence Bates
Hey, so look for people who are just kind of getting introduced To Artillery Tea Company. Talk about what makes this such a unique tea brand.
Bo Davidson
Yeah, there's a couple things. So a lot of, a lot of people are used to what they buy at the grocery store, that kind of tea, Lipton, yogi, that sort of thing. That is actually the lowest grade of tea that you can buy. It's called tea dust or tea fennels. We use the whole leaf, the, the whole leaf natural product that comes right off of the, off of the plant. And what they, when they produce our whole leaf, the stuff that literally falls through the cracks is like little dust particles. That's what they scoop up and they put into the mass produced tea bags like the Lipton black teas and, and green teas and all the yogis and everything. So we wanted to bring it back to actually being real tea again. I don't think tea dust is real tea. It tastes way more bitter, it brews way weaker and it's just way lower quality than whole leaf. So the whole leaf tea, our biodegradable sachets, have no harsh chemicals in them. That's unique as well. The grocery store tea has glue and plastic and bleach paper and all kinds of nasty stuff in it. So with us you're getting a clean cup, an all natural cup and actually real tea.
Terrence Bates
And because it's real tea and it's higher quality, that's why you're able to brew those sachets. Not just once or twice. Every time I say sachet I just want to kind of walk around and twitch here. But the sachets that you guys have, that's why you're able to use one sachet, excuse me, for two cups, if you will.
Bo Davidson
Yeah, but since we use the whole leaf when it brews, the leaf sort of kind of unfolds and there's more surface area for the extraction of all the flavor and all the nutrients and things like that. And so what the tea does us, you can only get, I mean, I think you can barely get one cup out of one bag. Right. But whole leaf, if you brew it correctly with the same temp, with the right temperature and the right steeping time, which we have all those details available, you can get two strong cups per tea bag. I've had folks reach out to us and say they've gotten up to four. I think that just depends on your taste and on your, on your preferences. But yeah, at least two strong cups. The second cup will taste just like the first one.
Terrence Bates
And I think it's important to point out you kind of mentioned it you guys actually have instructions for maximizing a tea bag or a sachet for maximizing the kind of quality that you get in a cup of tea.
Bo Davidson
Yeah, we came up with something called the precision brewing cheat sheet. We have some of those available on our site and it shows you for which type of tea, black, green or herbal, what temperature you should brew it at and then how long you should steep for each cup. So the first cup steeps short, you know, usually like two to three minutes. Then the second cup you'll steep a little bit longer at the same temperature. But yeah, that's also unique about us since we use the whole leaves. Different teas actually brew differently. And so if you have black tea, green tea or herbal tea, it'll be a different temperature and a different steeping time for each one.
Terrence Bates
That is awesome. Really quickly before we let you go, what are some of the special offers you have available for customers?
Bo Davidson
Yeah, it's been a while since we've done a site wide sale, but you know, we've been with a RAV audience for years. You guys really got us started. You've supported us the whole time. When I was diagnosed, all I wanted to do was get back to work. I wanted to get back to that trajectory that I was on prior to the cancer. I always felt like I had value. I had a place on the team to just be treated with dignity. It means everything.

Dr. Gina
All right. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks so much for being with us this morning. It is time now for the one to watch Dee Bro, what's your eye on?
David Brody
Well, my eye is on the cost of college. It has now hit a new high guys.
Terrence Bates
Yours and mine.
David Brody
Yeah, but check this one out. T1 University now approaching six figure price tag for one year. At GW George Washington officials have now announced a tuition increase that's going to push the total cost of attendance for some students to nearly $100,000 a year. Now that does include tuition, housing and fees, but so what? Under the new rates, tuition alone is about 72,000 bucks. It's part of a broader trend of rising costs across higher education, as we know, university officials say financial aid helps offset the cost for many students, whatever. But for families still paying out of pocket, the price tag, obviously raising serious questions about affordability, the value of a college degree. And insanity reigns. T. Bates, what say you? Because I don't know about you, but for $98,000, 98g I could get. I could start a business. I could invest some money. I could go travel. I could go buy more makeup. I mean, I could do a lot.
Terrence Bates
Oh, absolutely. You said starting a business. And Dr. G, I've got to give you credit to this because you put this on my radar. If you're going to invest that kind of money, why not start your kid off with some sort of business that you know is, or at least gives them an opportunity for some sort of return on investment? These days, particularly with the way the economy is and with what kids are coming out of college with. What's the ROI? What's the return on investment? $100,000 a year. That's $400,000 over four years. If your kid gets lucky and finishes in four years, are they going to make that, or are they going to make a decent living on their own? Very unlikely. Particularly if they're not doing internships and other things to give them some practical skills to go into the job market apart from just the education they get. You may want to consider if you're going to invest in that sort of money, invest in your kid and maybe invest in the business. Dr. Gina, thank you for putting that on Terrence's radar. I just referred to myself in third person. Okay.
Narrator / Announcer
Anyway.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, well, that's what we decided to do early on because I have two master's degrees, a PhD and an undergraduate degree. And I don't really know why, because I don't really use them. They're totally impractical, and they count for nothing except for some stupid title that I don't even need to do. The work that I do that I believe is. Is more important in what I chose to do. So for our children, and my husband also has a lot of schooling, advanced degrees, and we decided that's not what we want for our children. We're not going to invest that kind of money in some place that wants to probably indoctrinate them. And yes, you can send them to a Christian school. There are some good ones I would recommend Liberty University, one of my favorites. But, you know, you can do that if you want to, but you can also take that tuition money over the course of four years and all of that frat money and room and board and invest it in a business for them and they're set for life.
Terrence Bates
I'm not mad at it.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. All right, you guys remember to go to YouTube right now for the premiere of the music video for Rachel Holt's Ammunition. And remember to download it on itunes and drive it up the charts. You guys have a beautiful resurrection weekend with your family. War Room is up next. Well, boldly now, live the truth. We'll see you next week. Oh, and Colby's here. I just forgot him. Happy Puffy Friday.
