Ahead on American sunrise, a Georgia woman being treated for chemical burns this morning after being attacked following a church event. How is this case being handled? And where does the investigation stand? Plus, ahead, we'll have a guest join us with his take on what may have motivated this attack. And later, at least 16 people are dead, several others critically injured after a terror attack at an Australian Hanukkah celebration. This morning, the world is talking about video of a heroic onlooker who stepped in to save lives. Plus, the fate of your health care. House Republicans are out with the plan to improve it. How likely is it to become law, though? Florida Congressman Randy Fine just moments away from from giving us insight from Capitol Hill. Those stories and so much more right now on American sunrise.

Good Monday morning, everyone. I'm Terrence Bates. We appreciate you being here with us. I'm coming to you live from our Denver newsroom in our West Palm beach studio. Emily Finn sitting in for Dr. Gina this morning. And our North Star, David Brody coming to us from Washington, D.C. good morning to both of you. Yes, David, you are our North Star. I look up in the sky and say, where is David? Let me just follow him this morning.
David Brody
That might be the saddest statement ever that if I'm the North Star, we're in trouble, guys. But good morning. Good morning, everybody.
Emily Finn
Good morning to all.
Terrence Bates
Good morning to both of you guys. So look, let's start on a bit of a sad note. There's a Georgia acid attack. Police are now looking for a person of interesting connection to this case. Two witnesses are actually talking about this. We do know that the woman suffered an acid attack. Again, all of this happened in Savannah, Georgia. Reports are saying that she was leaving a Christmas event, some sort of church event at the that, of course, coinciding with the Australia attack on Hanukkah in which at least 15 people are dead, 16 if you include one of the shooters. It just has been a very rough last week or so. The initial attack in Savannah, Georgia, I talked about happened back on Wednesday. This attack in Australia happened over the weekend. Just a frightening time, David.
David Brody
Antisemitism rearing its ugly head yet again. This has been prevalent In Australia for a long time. Anthony Albanese, the prime minister there, under considerable criticism this morning, and rightly so. Look, after October 7, about 1,000 people showed up at the Sydney Opera House and started chanting gas the Jews. Nothing done. Way to go, Anthony Albanese. And then since then, there's been about 2,000 or so anti Semitic attacks in Australia over the last year. Just in the last year. We're not talking the last couple years, just in one year alone. It's 166 a week. Vandalism, arson, verbal threats, and on and on. This is just absolutely pathetic. There's about 100,000 Jews or so, maybe a little bit more in the country of Australia, the continent of Australia, and about 43,000 or so in the Sydney area. We're going to get a lot more information as we go on. But look, I think we're looking obviously at extremist Muslim ideology. And I tell you what, it's a broken record, Emily. We're saying it yet again.
Emily Finn
Saying it yet again, Emily.
Terrence Bates
I want to show you this video really quickly though, Emily, because this is the other part of the story, obviously a tragedy, but from tragedy sometimes also springs triumph. You can see here in this video, Emily, an onlooker jumped one of the gunmen and actually took the gun away. Just goes to show how, you know, people do stand up when these sorts of situations occur.
Emily Finn
Absolutely. And this, this person that obviously went after the gunman and was able to get the gun away is a hero, an absolute hero. But let's think about this. And going back to David's point, what's going on in Australia, it shouldn't come down to a civilian coming in to have to thwart an attack like this. There should be condemnation for these types of attacks. There should be policy in place to make sure that these things don't happen. But thank God that this person was there and, you know, jumped into his fight or flight mode and decided to fight and was a hero and was able to get this gun away in that situation. And imagine how much worse this attack would have been if that person didn't step up. Thank God.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. And guys, there's a lot of news to talk about. We'll of course get to that momentarily. But, Emily, would you do us the honors of giving us our Bible verse for today so that we can get to our next guest?
Emily Finn
Absolutely. Terrence, let us check out this Bible verse. It is from Romans, chapter 15, verse 13. Now, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Beautiful way to start the day. House Republicans have released a health care plan ahead of a vote that is expected this week. The proposal focuses on expanding association health plans, increasing transparency for prescription drug pricing and making changes to cost sharing rules. The plan does not include an extension of expiring Affordable Care act subsidies. Let's now bring in Florida Congressman Randy Fine. You know, Congressman, I do want to ask you about the health care here, but before we get to that, what was your initial reaction to the terror attack in Australia that we were just talking about this attack against Jewish people. Just horrible to see.
David Brody
Well, thank you and thanks for having me this morning. Look, I'm one of only four Jewish Republican congressmen. And my reaction was first was anger and then my second reaction is why do we allow this to continue to happen? Muslim terror is everywhere around the world. It doesn't even make the news some of the times anymore that Muslim terrorists attempted to disrupt a Christmas event in Germany. We had the Muslim terror attack in Washington where two people from the Israeli embassy were shot. We had one in Colorado. And the problem is this has become all too common. And the question is, when are we going to start to do something about it?
Emily Finn
Yeah, we certainly do need to now, Congressman, what more can you tell us about this healthcare plan?
David Brody
Well, it's a start. The speaker has said we've got a lot of work to do and we can't get it all done here before the end of the year. This is three ideas that they believe are common sense ideas that will start to make a big impact on the problem. But then there will be other ideas that we deal with in January and February and March as well to really tap into the problem. Democrats destroyed healthcare when they passed Obamacare. It's gotten worse and worse and worse. Everything they promised it would do turned out to be a lie and now we're trying to fix it. Let me ask you, Congressman, how concerned are you that come January 1st, you know, the stories are coming of premiums going up for folks and CNN and MSNBC and all those folks will gladly talk about those stories day in and day out? How concerned are you are, how concerned are you from a PR perspective that this could be a problem for Republicans? And I also am curious about, I understand moderates may potentially sign a discharge petition that Democrats have to raise Obamacare, excuse me, to extend Obamacare subsidies. What are you hearing about that? Well, I think we have to be willing to tell the truth, which is borrowing money from our children and grandchildren to Hide the cost of Obamacare is not compassionate. Obamacare has failed. And I'm going to demand over and over and over again that Democrats admit it. They do not want to reduce the cost of health care. All they want to do is hide the cost of health care. If Obamacare was affordable, we wouldn't need ever increasing subsidies to pay for it. These subsidies were supposed to be temporary. They were allegedly emergency subsidies due to Covid. Covid is long over, yet now they want to extend them. Why? Because Obamacare gets worse every single day and if we don't deal with it, we're going to bankrupt the country.
Terrence Bates
As we're talking about health care and revamping our country's health care system, how is the discussion and the debate going as it relates to fully funding the government by that January 20 deadline or whatever the date is? It seems like we're talking about other things other than that. What is the behind the scenes looking like right now, Congressman? And are you optimistic that these various funding legislations will in fact be passed by that deadline or will there be another attempt at a cr? Will potentially this issue of health care become an Achilles heel to getting some full funding done?
David Brody
Well, look, so where we are is there's 12 appropriations bills that have to pass to fund the government. Three of them did pass as part of when we reopened the government. So 25% of the government is funded for the full year. Now what happens to the other nine? And I will tell you that even as we're working on other things, our appropriators are working behind the scenes to get those other nine bills done. So while I don't know anything for sure, I am optimistic that in January we will pass these nine appropriations bills and the government will return to its normal function.
Emily Finn
Congressman, I do want to go back to that anti Semitic attack in Australia. You know, you said that you reacted with anger when you first saw it and that there needs to be something done. What would you like to see be done in America to be able to address situations like this?
David Brody
Sure, I think that's a great question. I think, number one, I think we have to stop immigration from countries that hate us. I mean, if you want to come to the United States, you should love it, share its values, want to integrate and not want free stuff. We have too many immigrants who come here who hate America, are coming to change it, have no desire to integrate and can't wait to get free stuff. Look at Minneapolis and the Somalis where 80% are on welfare after being here for a decade. You Know, immigration without assimilation is invasion, and we have to stop that. But then what we have to do is we have to throw out all of the people who are already here who hate America, whether they're including those that are on visas. And then finally, we have to go back and take a look at people who, over the last 30 years, engage in immigration fraud to become Americans, denaturalize and deport them. This will not be an easy thing to do, but our choice is either do this or die as a civilization. This is not a war against. My biggest frustration with the discussion about Australia, as it is described as an attack against Jews. That is not what it was. This is an attack against Western civilization. Jews are only the first front in the war. They want to kill us all. And what are we gonna do about it? Now, that's a very good point, Congressman. You talk about people getting people. Excuse me, getting rid of people here in America that hate America and not letting people come in that hate America. How do you do that exactly? In other words, what are the metrics on that? How do you determine who hates America, who doesn't hate America? And how do you. What's the system for that, exactly? Well, I think there's certain countries. We simply need to ban immigration from countries. Which ones would you say? Well, I would, you know, Somalia, Iran, Yemen, places that despise us. And frankly, there's this notion that you can do vetting. I always love this. It's this magic word of vetting. Vetting, Vetting. You know, you can't know what's in someone's heart, and you can't know what's in someone's mind. And frankly, in a lot of these countries, you don't even have records. The left has taken the approach that any one of 6 billion people in the world, no matter how screwed up their country is and no matter how screwed up they are, ought to be able to come to America and get stuff for free. I simply reject that. We have got to preserve. Preserve America. We've got to preserve Western civilization from these people, from these garbage countries who come from these garbage cultures. We have to be willing to say in this country that not all cultures are equal. That doesn't mean. I'm not saying that all races aren't equal. All cultures aren't equal. You have cultures like we saw on October 7, where people called their moms and dads to talk about how proud they were for killing people. These cultures are not the same, and we need to stop acting like they are, and we need to be willing to do something about it. And I think you're starting to see a dawning realization that the status quo is not going to work and we have to do something about it.
Emily Finn
Congressman Fine, a lot of great ideas from you on how to keep Western civilization safe this morning. Really appreciate your time. Thanks for being on the show.
Terrence Bates
Thanks for having me, Congressman.

Let's start in California, where legendary film producer and actor Rob Reiner is dead at 78 years old. Los Angeles police say he and his wife were murdered in their home. Reiner's 32 year old son is reportedly being questioned as a person of interest in the case, but so far no one has been charged. Investigators say the couple suffered stab wounds and detectives with the LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division are investigating the situation as an apparent homicide. Reiner is known for films like A Few Good Men, When Harry Met Sally, and of course the Princess Bride. We'll continue to monitor this developing situation for you throughout the day, including more reaction to Reiner's murder. Meantime, Australian officials are planning tougher gun laws after a father and son killed 15 people at a Jewish celebration at Sydney's Bondi Beach. The attack is Australia's worst mass shooting in almost 30 years. This video that you see here on the left side of your screen of a brave witness taking down one of the shooters is making the rounds on social media. Police confirm the 50 year old father was killed at the scene, bringing the death toll to a total of 16 people at least. At last. Check. Excuse me. The 24 year old son remained in critical condition. In addition to those killed, at least 40 people were taken to area hospitals following the attack. Investigators say they are working through the background of the shooters. They also say two Islamic State flags were found in the duo's vehicle. Just this morning, Australia's Prime Minister announced a push to limit the number of weapons allowed under a gun license. Police say the father was a licensed gun owner with at least six registered weapons there under his name. The search is on for the man who doused a woman with acid, sending her to the hospital with serious chemical burns. It all happened in Savannah, Georgia's Forsyth park neighborhood this after the woman left a church program following the attack, the police department has increased patrols in the city's parks out of an abundance of caution. The FBI is also assisting in helping to identify the chemical used. Investigators are still trying to determine what motivated the attack, as they say the victim did not know her attacker. Savannah police are asking anyone who was in Forsyth park this past Wednesday to please come forward, especially if they have pictures or video. Coming up a little bit later in the show, we'll have a guest joining us to offer up a unique perspective on what may have motivated this attack. You'll have to stay tuned for the very latest of that. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast. We're also going to put up a QR code at the bottom of your screen that you can scan to join our friends over at Weather Nation. Weather Nation's Adrian Hernandez joining us this morning, though. Adrian, good morning. My friend, my mother in law lives on the east coast and she said that it snowed there and it's very cold. Oh, not a good sign. Well, actually, if you like Christmas weather, I guess it is a good sign for people like me who are anti cold and snow, not such a good sign.
David Brody
Yeah, I can't imagine you'd be having too much fun out East, Terrence, that we had had a lot of these spots across the country dealing with some winter weather, especially places close to the Atlantic coast, which we'll talk about in just a moment. But yeah, millions were impacted by this winter weather across the Northwest things they're going to be staying really, really active with lots of rainfall accumulating and snowfall across the Cascades and the Rockies and then across the mid or towards the midweek across the Northeast. We're going to be dealing with a pretty strong midweek system going to be bringing loads of rain and snow across this region. So over the last three hours, the main spot that's been real active is out in the Northwest and we have some snowfall in places close to Detroit a little bit further eastward as well. But it's going to be mainly the northwest west that's going to be dealing with some pretty rainy conditions starting off your work week. Some of these temperatures dipping down in the single digits out in the windy City with 9 degrees out in Chicago. But it has been warmer over the last since the last 24 hours out in places in the high plains like Bismarck where you were 23, 21 degree above where you were just around 24 hours ago. So the second system is going to be making its impacts Wednesday well into Thursday, giving pretty widespread impacts across the Northeast with rainfall and snow, leaving behind some really, really cool temperature temperatures all across the United States. It's going to be impacting places like Denver as well. So, Terrence, I know you're not a big fan of that cool weather, but unfortunately, you're going to get a little bit more they got to hold on just a little bit more into this work week.
Terrence Bates
Okay. All right. Thank you. Appreciate it. I was going to ask you a question, but after that, I'm sorry, your Persona 9 Grotta around here don't like it. Adrian, always good to see you, my friend.
David Brody
Likewise, Terrence talking soon.
Terrence Bates
All right. And once again, folks, log on to our various social media accounts. Get a rumble. YouTube, let us know where you're hanging out. And you may be one of our lucky viewers to get a hometown forecast from Adrian. All of that will be coming up in our second hour. So make sure you stay tuned for that. Up next, though, the world continues mourning the horrific terror attack in Australia, which of course, was against the Jewish community there. So what's being done in response? We'll have more on this developing story for you throughout the day. First, though, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date in 1791 that the first ten amendments of the Constitution, which are also known as the Bill of Rights, were ratified. Virginia became the 10th state to approve them, giving the majority that was needed. In 1789, Congress approved the first 12amendments and then they were sent to the states for ratification. However, two amendments were not ratified. More American Sunrise coming your way in two minutes.
David Brody
Snowy Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, December 15, 2025. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. I'm David Brody. It has been a rough weekend. A deadly mass shooting targeting a Hanukkah celebration has rocked Sydney's Bondi beach and the world. Suspects have been identified as a 50 year old and a 24 year old father and son duo. Police say at least 16 people, including one gunman, have been killed. That's the father and dozens more injured. The attackers opened fire at a Hanukkah celebration. Authorities have also declared the incident a terrorist attack against the Jewish community with one suspect, that would be the son, in custody. Let's now bring in retired Navy SEAL Officer Mike Sorelli. Look, Mike, Australia has some of the world's strictest gun laws in the world and then this happens. I'm curious to get your thoughts on that aspect. And Also how law enforcement can combat antisemitism like this. I mean, Australia's had problems for years now. Good morning. Good morning, guys. Thanks for having me again. So with the gun control, you guys are. People are focusing on the wrong thing. They will always find a tool to bring harm to other people. Here's a few things from Australia. One, my thought and prayers go out to the families of the fallen and those that are recovering. I wish them the best. And this is a heinous crime. 1. I think we continue to realize that certain cultures don't mix well with ours, especially those that are radicalized and bring religion as a, as a force for doing harm to others. But this was a failure of the police force in this general area. If you have a major Jewish ceremony going on, police should have been there in force for force protection because this is what we refer to as a soft target. And it went on way longer than it, than it should have and that is a failure. The same thing can be said for our country. We need to rapidly, significantly increase our police force. Given the state of America and the.
Emily Finn
Lawlessness today, we absolutely need to address these same problems in our country. Mike, there was another suspected religious attack here in our home. Police in Georgia, they're searching for a suspect after a woman was doused with a acid like chemical in a city park. They've also spoken to two witnesses in the case and they're looking for the driver of a white suv. She was walking home after attending a church program. Authorities say that the woman suffered serious burns and was taken to a burn center for treatment. The attack happened in Forsyth Park. Appears to have been random. No arrests have been made as of yet and police are asking the public to come forward with any information. Mike, what do you make of this?
David Brody
You know, Emily, how many times is this going to happen before we say enough is enough? This woman was coming from church, probably a law abiding citizen. I'm going to make a guess here. I bet when they find this perpetrator, he's going to be a repeat offender. We need to turn the judicial system upside down, clean it out with the Soros backed, you know, attorneys and, and lawyers who are upholding the sanctity of these career criminals. It's disgusting. We look at George Floyd. George Floyd was a repeat criminal. What happened to him shouldn't have happened to him. But guys, this again goes to my point. We need to increase our law enforcement significantly in areas where crime is high. And we cannot allow these repeat criminals to go free. Guys, a hard life does not equal a pass. And we don't need to be sympathetic or empathetic to whatever their prior circumstances were. That is not an excuse to do harm or bring evil and these heinous crimes to good law abiding Americans.
Terrence Bates
Mike, I wanted to ask you about the latest US raids of ships in the Indian Ocean, but instead I'm going to veer to the right a little bit and talk about these latest killings in Syria. Two service members, a civilian, American service members and a civilian were killed in Syria. It's believed to be at the hands of terrorist groups there. I'm not going to even ask you, Mike, if there should be a response. My question is going to be how swift and how severe should. Should the response be?
David Brody
Well, I think given this administration that response, and knowing Pete Hakes at the Secretary of War, that response is going to be, it's going to be swift, it's going to be dead, and it's going to be very deadly. Guys, here's the problem with our overall foreign policy is we declare victory against these Islamic terrorist organizations without actually solving the problem. It's no different than Hamas. You have to kill them right down to the very last member. You cannot allow any ISIS Hamas terrorists to continue living because they are like a cancer that just will continue to spread. And the American public doesn't understand that. We've got to eradicate this type of extremism from the face of our planet or we will continue to deal with it. And arguably, we've been at War since 2001 with Islamic terrorism and we haven't solved the problem yet.
Terrence Bates
Mike, I hear you. If I can just follow up just very quickly. David, I apologize. I hear you. But this ideology is so pervasive, it's become cultural in many of these Middle Eastern and Islamic countries. So what you propose is that realistic, Is that really possible, to really eradicate it? When it's an ideology, it's part of the culture, it's part of the fabric of many of these countries.
David Brody
You know, Terrence, one of the problems we had, again, another flaw, is that we thought this was gonna be a 10, 20 year war. We will be at war with Islamic extremism for the next hundred years. But our determination, our resolve to see that to the end is what's going to matter. My problem here is that these countries, our Arab partners, aren't doing anything about it. The Gulf Cooperation Council countries, they had a problem with Iran for decades and they were doing nothing about it. They always depend on the United States to send our troops overseas to handle their problems. So from the administration, they need to rely or lean heavily on these countries to increase their police state to eradicate Islamic extremism from within their countries. And, and we never quite did that to the level that was required to deal with this ideology and stamp it out. Well, Mike, to that end, we've got about 30 seconds left. What do you make of what the Trump administration is doing with deals with Saudi Arabia and Qatar? And I get the geopolitical aspect of it, but at the same time, if they're not rooting out exactly what you're talking about, then what's the point? I mean, President Trump talks about, okay, well, it's billions in for the United States economically. Well, great. But what about the aspect that you're talking about here? I'm not going to refute the economic benefits of the deals with Qatar and Saudi Arabia. But as part of those deals, we have to lean on them. We have to hold them accountable and responsible for the extremists that they're sending over to our country, for the extremists throughout the Middle east that continue to perpetrate these attacks. And until we do that, guys, we are going to be stuck in the Middle east for decades to come. Mike Ciarelli, sage advice this morning. Appreciate your time. Great stuff. Thank you.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Mike.
David Brody
Thanks, y'.

David Brody
All right, coming up, ways to improve happiness during the holidays. How can a quick conversation pick up your mood? We'll find out because we have those tips straight ahead on American Sunrise. Everybody.
Terrence Bates
You're looking live at a growing memorial in Australia, Sydney, specifically following the mass shooting there that left at least 15 victims dead, 16 when you count one of the shooters. You can see people coming and laying down flowers. Also, people literally arm in arm singing and kind of holding each other and trying to comfort each other after what is said to have been the largest mass shooting in decades there in Australia. We'll of course, be covering this for you throughout the day. It's one of the big stories that people around the world are talking about as we all grieve with the families of the victims of this mass shooting in Australia. It happens, happened during the Hanukkah celebration there. And so you see some of our, some of our, excuse me, Jewish brothers and sisters who are coming there together to console them and others who are just humans who are coming to support as well. David Brody
Good morning, T. Bates. All right, let's head over to Venezuela where heroic rescues are taking place by the group Gray Bull Rescue. Now the group's founder and chairman, Brian Stern says they have rescued Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Corina Machado. She is, of course, the Venezuelan politician and activist who has led the way in opposition to the administrations of both Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro. She's now home safe with her family. After the rescue, Stern posted on X the mission tested the team in ways few will understand and how important it was to get the Nobel Peace Prize winner home.
Terrence Bates
Wow.
David Brody
For more, let's bring in the man himself, the founder and chairman of Greybull Rescue. That would be Brian Stern. Brian, my goodness. Congratulations, by the way. Let me just say this to you and your entire Gray Bull rescue team. I tell you what I understand, Brian. This took like, what, 16 hours combined. You had land, sea, transit, high, high risk, big time. Tell us more. Good morning. Congrats. Yeah, good morning. This was a very. It's interesting because this was our 800th mission as a team. Normally we rescue Americans, but our charter is to also rescue allies. So Maria qualified given her status and her values, if you will. What's bizarre is that as complicated as this operation was, this actually wasn't the most complicated thing we've ever done as a team. However, this was the hardest target we've ever gone after. Her status and her profile are such that it was nearly impossible to get her out.
Terrence Bates
Well, obviously you guys made the impossible possible, but you piqued my interest when you said this wasn't the most difficult rescue that you've undergone. Do tell, please. What has been the most difficult?
David Brody
Difficult? Well, we. We. You know, my team and I, we've done 12 jailbreaks from Russia. We've done hostages in Gaza. We've done. Again, this is our 800th mission, but this one is the only one that we've done where we have a high value target being actively pursued by an entire country's intelligence services. The Venezuelans, their security services, the Cubans, the Russians, Hezbollah. And they knew what window she would be leaving in, so they were extra vigilant during this period. And at the same time, you know, there's missiles and things falling from the sky in this part of the world, hitting boats, and we were on boats. So we had threat from all over the place. So from that perspective, it was the most dangerous thing we've done. But as far as operational complexity, we've done other things too. Brian, I'm assuming you don't want to get into specific sources and methods here, but talk us through a little bit about how this came about rescuing her, because what, there's no government coordination here at all? Like, how does. I'm talking about US Government. Explain. Explain that or is there? Yeah, so we're a private organization. GrebelRescue.org is our website. We're a foundation. We do not work for the government. We were not hired by the government. We are not contracted by the government. We've actually never gotten a thank you note from the government 800 missions later. So there is. Because literally, we've never received a penny from the government. Literally, there is no government nexus above the table, below the table, to the left or the right of the table. It does not exist. So if you hear that, that's not true. I was contacted by a friend of mine, a friend of mine who used to be in the intelligence community who asked me on Friday night a week ago, a week and a couple days ago now, he knew I was doing things in Venezuela and he asked if I would. If I'd be interested in hearing about hearing out a request. And that was I get connected to a guy on Maria's team. And that's how that started. So we. We got that call Friday night at 2100 9pm I had actually just come back from Aruba, working Venezuela stuff we planned and discussed on Saturday. Forward deployed on Sunday, set conditions on Monday and initiated on Tuesday afternoon. My goodness.
Terrence Bates
Hey, Brian, 30 seconds here. I'm curious how you go about deciding which missions to. Is it a unilateral decision? Is a decision that's made by a board. How do you decide? Okay. This is worthy of our efforts.
David Brody
Both. My board is made up of great Americans, of sacred cows of the special operations community, the intelligence community, and also the business community, for that matter. So we're very collaborative. Generally speaking, if you have an American passport and you're in trouble and we can afford it, money is the big one. Money is what drives it. All these things do cost money.
Emily Finn
Money.
David Brody
If we can afford it and you're an American and you're in trouble anytime, anywhere we deploy. We've rescued over 8,400 people, my team and I, in four years. So we are busy. We've worked Israel, we worked Afghanistan, we worked Haiti, Sudan, Ukraine, Russia, Lebanon, Syria, all these places. Hurricanes Ian, Helene and Milton, the fires of Maui, all kinds of stuff. Just recently, Jamaica, we did so. Where we like to work at the speed of need is what we call it, where when people ask for help, we can act real, real, real fast. And this operation is just like that. We got the call Friday night. She was in Norway Tuesday night. My goodness.
Terrence Bates
Oh, wow. All right. So people who want to donate, since money is money, does help make this happen. If someone would like to donate, how can they do that really quickly?
David Brody
Grebelrescue.org There's a big button there that says donate. Push that button. That's where you can go to give help if you're in trouble. The same website, there's a button that says help. Push the button and we'll come for you. No problem.
Terrence Bates
All right. Can you rescue me from college? Tuition. I've got two coming up.
David Brody
I'll do my best, but it's all about donations.
Terrence Bates
All right, my brother. I appreciate it. Hey, merry Christmas to you and your family. We appreciate all you do, Brian.
David Brody
Thank you. Merry Christmas. Thanks, Brian.
Terrence Bates
Thank you so much. All right, folks, we're going to take a quick break. When we come back, Eric Kirk set to meet with Candace Owens after controversial claims that Owens made regarding the assassination of Erica's husband Charlie. Oh, we'll break all of that down coming up right after this.
David Brody
From behind prison bars, the J6 political prisoners defied the system, singing the national anthem through prison phones. President Trump added his voice and the J6 6 choir shattered records, going number one on the Billboard charts with their song justice for all. They sang as captives. Now they sing again as free men. Welcome back to American Sunrise. Coffee pods are easy, but most of them are just caffeine and nothing else. Rejuvenate pods are built differently. They're clean pods infused with caakg, a compound linked to longevity, metabolism and deep cellular energy. It's the easiest way to get better focus, smoother energy and long term benefits without changing your routine. I choose them because they match the lifestyle that I want. More energy, more clarity, and more intention in how I start my day. If you're going to drink coffee anyway, make it one that actually supports the life that you're building. Head to 1775coffee.com rav and try rejuvenate pods today. Don't just drink coffee. Rejuvenate. All right. Now that we are caffeinated, it is time to stay awake, not woke. And today we are discussing when conspiracy culture goes too far. This week, Erica Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk and now CEO of Turning Point usa, spoke out after conspiracy theories pushed by Candace Owens spread online about her husband's murder. Her message was direct. Grief is not content. Silence is not guilt. When the rhetoric turned into threats against her family and her team, she drew a hard line. Take a listen to what Erica had to say.
David Brody
But can I have one thing?
Emily Finn
Can my babies have one thing?
David Brody
Where we hold it sacred, where my husband is laid to rest, Where I don't have to be worried about some secular revolutionary coming and destroying my husband's grave while my daughter is sitting there praying.
Emily Finn
One thing.
David Brody
This is my husband.
Emily Finn
Yes, he was Charlie Kirk to the world.
David Brody
And I know so many people love my husband and I am grateful for that. But this is my husband and I want to be able to have one thing left that is sacred to our.
Terrence Bates
Family, to my in laws, to my.
David Brody
Babies and to my parents. One thing.
Emily Finn
Both women will meet today to discuss what has been said. Erica Kirk made that announcement on X. For more, let's bring in Terrence and David. Terrence, wanna get your reaction first on this. You know, Candace Owens has certainly been saying a whole lot. You know, I give Erica a lot of respect for wanting to sit down and have a conversation with her. How do you think this is going to play out?
Terrence Bates
I have no idea how this is going to play out, but I hope that Candace will sit and talk less and listen more. I think sometimes silence can be key and silence can be a way of showing humanity and showing compassion. And that's really what this meeting should come down to. Candace and anyone who were to meet with Erica Kirk for that matter, should be compassionate in this meeting. Because this is still a woman, a wife, a mother who is grieving. And while, yes, all of us are probably still grieving to some degree, our grief probably can't compare or isn't equivalent to the grief of a mother and a wife in this situation.
David Brody
David well said. T. Bates well said. Here's the thing with Candace Owens. She's made it personal against TP usa. So this isn't just conspiracy theories. This is literally trying to, in essence, take down TP usa. That's her goal. I mean, she's been very clear about this. So that is very concerning. The other part, and I will say this, this just came out as well. Candace Owens saying, I'm very much looking forward to this discussion as here's the thing, it's private. Can we put private in air quotes? Nothing's private. And here's the thing, Candace Owens gonna bilk this for two weeks of season four episode, whatever she's doing. So I'm telling you right now, I don't trust Candace Owens as far as I can throw her. So this private conversation, sorry. But hey, little pro tip for TP usa, record it. Record it with some audio. Get a camcorder from 1987 and make sure you've got some sort of audio representation of exactly what went down. Because I guarantee you guys, Candace Owens is gonna say, this was said. And Erica will say, no, that's not. That's not what was said. We're gonna get months of this as well. So they've gotta make sure this is somehow recorded so they've got proof to say what Candace is gonna say, because she's gonna say stuff is gonna be accurate, and that's what we want. We want accuracy again.
Terrence Bates
I'm hopeful. Hopeful that decorum will rule the day and compassionate will guide this meeting. I'm hopeful.
Emily Finn
I'm hopeful as well, Terrence. But Candace has gone so far at this point, and like David said, she's made it personal at this point. So I wish that they were making this a public conversation, because I feel like everyone within, I want to say the TPUSA family. Right. Just anyone who has supported the organization and are grieving over Charlie's death. We want to have answers as well. And so I really hope that somehow this is recorded and somehow we get the real truth as to what the.
Terrence Bates
Two women talked about a little differently. Yeah, I'd rather not be recorded. I'd rather be private, and quite honestly, I'd rather we not even know about it. And they have their moment.
David Brody
But can I just side.
Terrence Bates
You know, away from all the camera that. That's just me back, though, at this point.
Emily Finn
How does she walk back?
Terrence Bates
Yeah, I mean, at this point, there's no way to walk it back.
David Brody
But here's the thing. Let me just say I'm not suggesting it be recorded, and then all of us hear the conversation. That's not what I'm saying. I just want them to have it in their back pocket in case she's going to say some stuff that they have evidence to say. No, that's not what she said. That's all.
Emily Finn
I'm nosy. I want to hear it. I want to hear what they have.
David Brody
Well, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I hear you on that.
Emily Finn
All right.
Terrence Bates
I'm not mad at you. I'll be. I'm nosy, too. Emily, I'm with you.
Emily Finn
I hope it goes well. I hope it's a civil, you know, calm, great conversation between the two women. All right, coming up, from an anti Semitic attack against Jews in Australia to a shocking acid assault here in Georgia on a woman of faith. Want to do when what to do, rather when evil strikes. That is all. Next, as a man, American Sunrise continues.
Terrence Bates
Stay with usa.
David Brody
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. All right, time now for our moment of faith. It's brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God bless the USA Bible. In focus today, faith tested by Evil. On the first day of Hanukkah, terrorism struck Sydney, Australia's iconic Bondi beach. At least 16 people are dead, including the gunman. They were all shot dead. Several others injured in a targeted attack on the Jewish community. And of course, that coming on the first night of Hanukkah. Amid the gunfire, our hero ran toward danger. You can see it there. Disarmed. The shooter save lives. He suffered a gunshot wound himself. Here at home in Georgia, there's a different kind of horror. A woman was assaulted with a corrosive chemical while walking home after a church event. She suffered severe burns on nearly half of her body, the attacker still at large. So in two places, hate has struck. Faith was the target in one. It could be the target in another as well. With us now, Dr. Jerry Newcomb, the executive director of the Providence Forum. Dr. Newcomb, I don't even know where to begin other than try to make sense of it all. But in this world, you know, evil reigns in this world many times, Dr. Newcomb. Yeah, many times. I mean, the control of this world is in the hands of the evil one. And yet Christmas is a reminder that Jesus Christ, the rightful king, has landed into our world and is beginning the process of redemption. And behold, I make all things new, he says. Now in the meantime time, the, the two different attacks are different in this sense. The anti Jewish attack on the synagogue or at least on Hanukkah itself, by the way, that's a festival that Jesus himself celebrated, sometimes called the festival of Light, sometimes called the dedication festival. But we find Jesus celebrating Hanukkah in John chapter 10. But the targets were specifically Jewish people. And there is a strain within Islam and in the Quran itself where you can find anti Jewish statements. And you, you see the statement from, you know, the Quran where it says slay the infidel wherever you may find them. That's in Surah 9, verse 29. Thankfully, not all Muslims take that verse literally, otherwise there'd be a lot more killings all over the world. But they definitely target people of the book. Book that would be both Jews and Christians. As far as the attack in Savannah, I was reading about that and it's in a beautiful place called Forsyth Park. I've been there before, wonderful place. I'm not sure I understand the faith angle to that. I will say this. God has a promise for his people, all those who truly believe in Jesus Christ. This promise goes like this. We know that God causes all things, things to work together for good, for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purposes. And so I don't know what God's plan is in that young lady's life. She sounds like a delightful Christian lady. And it's just so awful. She was attacked by a stranger, as I understand it, with, with acid on the face Sometimes. I've heard that that is an attack sometimes by people, again, motivated by their understanding of Islam, where it's like, you know, slay the infidel. But I don't know that that's the connection there. I do know that without faith, it would be very difficult, David, regardless of how, you know, whatever circumstances would they have to deal with, and at least it's extreme, that faith makes a huge difference because Jesus Christ makes all the difference in the world. And we're reminded of that at Christmas time. Dr. Jerry Newcombe, thanks for being here. We will get more answers in the second hour. Actually coming up right after the break about that attack in Georgia as to why it may be a target on her Christianity. We'll have that in a moment. We appreciate it. Back with the second hour of American Sunrise in two minutes. Everybody stick around.
Terrence Bates
Coming up on this second hour of American Sunrise, a horrific chemical attack that left a woman disfigured in Savannah, Georgia. It has law enforcement and others questioning why this morning. Ahead, we'll have a guest who has some thoughts on what may have motivated this attack. And later, terrorism in Australia, as officials describing the shooting left 15 victims and one shooter dead. They're calling it an act of terrorism. Updates on the Hanukkah attack throughout the hour. Plus, a mass shooting at Brown University leaves two dead and at least nine others injured. It's another tragic and upsetting attack that we're monitoring for you this morning. All of those stories and so much more as this second hour of American Sunrise starts right now.
David Brody
Good morning America.
Emily Finn
Welcome to AMERICAN sunrise.
Terrence Bates
Whether it's culture, we have breaking news.
David Brody
To share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
David Brody
The American dream is still alive. I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Emily Finn
And I'm Dr. Gina.
David Brody
Welcome back, Everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Emily Finn. She's in for Dr. Jean West Palm today. And T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning. I say it's good morning, not really after this weekend, what happened at Brown University, what happened in Australia as we've been talking about. And Emily, what happened with Rob Reiner and his wife allegedly killed by their son over the weekend. My goodness gracious. This is a tough Monday morning.
Emily Finn
Just horribly shocking to see all of this violence happening. This Rob Reiner story is something that I know we haven't really had a chance to talk too much about. I mean, so much news to cover in our shows. But wow, horrible, horrible situation there. And I know the investigation is still ongoing. It'll be interesting to see all the details that come out of that.
Terrence Bates
Terrence yeah, since you said it, let's just get to some of the nuts and bolts of that Rob Reiner story. The legendary producer and actor is dead at 78 years old. Los Angeles police say that he and his wife were murdered in their home. Reiner's 32 year old son is reportedly being questioned as a person of interest in the case. So far again, at this moment, no charges filed in the case. Investigators say the couple suffered stab wounds. And detectives with the LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division are investigating this as an apparent homicide. There's gripping video out of Sydney, Australia's Bondi beach this morning involving a brave Good Samaritan disarming a mass shooter. This obviously is the wrong video. We apologize. A father son duo accused of shooting and killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens more in what is Australia's worst mass shooting in decades. Police are confirming the father is dead and the son is in critical condition. They're saying the Good Samaritan in the video that we were talking about was reportedly shot twice. The search is on for the man who doused a woman with acid, sending her to the hospital with serious chemical burns. All of this happened in Savannah, Georgia's Forsyth park after the woman here on your screen left a church program. Following the attack, the police department has increased patrols in the city city's parks out of an abundance of caution. The FBI is also assisting in helping to identify the chemical was used. The person there on your screen is a person of interest in the case. That's the person who police believe may be responsible. We, of course, continue to cover both of those stories or all of the stories we just mentioned and update you as soon as we get new information. Meantime, let's get a quick check of your forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Adrian Hernandez joining us with more on what you can expect today, also with your hometown forecast. Adrian, good morning, my friend.
David Brody
Good morning, Terrence. Yeah, we got a few hometown forecasts to gonna get through. One of them actually is gonna be impacting somewhere near your area, I'd say in your same state, Terrence, because you gotta take out to Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is from the real one. 2020 from Getter. You got real nice conditions. Temperatures are gonna be sticking in the mid to low 60s and then dipping down into the 50s going into Thursday. Right. Rainfall, while I shouldn't really be looking at too much out in Colorado Springs, we also have Atlanta. This is from Silver lady out in Getter. Here we have temperatures going to be staying in the 40s for today, getting up into the 50s and low 60s and then dipping right back down in the 50s going into the end of the work week, where your best chance for rain will be coming in. On Thursday, we had lots of snowfall across the Northeast. Just look at Pittsford, New York, where the snow was just falling down sideways across this region and left behind some wintry scenes on places like, like New York, New York, out in Central Park. Just notice how beautiful things are looking. If you're a fan of the cold weather, fan of the snowfall, you definitely got a fair bit of it just over the weekend here. All across the Northeast, where a lot of our spots saw a good amount of snow. So looking at the radar over the last three hours, the only spot staying real active will be the Pacific Northwest. We have a little bit of snowfall sticking around Michigan and the U.P. of Michigan, but other than that, things are staying relatively quiet across the US for the most part. Things likely will be changing going, going into the remainder of this work week or the middle portions of this work week. Temperature wise, you're around 9 degrees out in the Windy City. If you're out west, you're anywhere from 50 to 51. Out in places like Seattle, things are staying real cool up north and really, really warm or relatively warmer out east. But Terence, you guys out in Denver, sticking around 42 degrees at least for your temperature. Now, I'm not sure if that's too cold for you, but at the very least, you're doing a lot better than our friends out in New York sitting around 22 degrees this morning.
Terrence Bates
Well, we're better than New York anyway, Adrian, so that's nothing new, but I.
David Brody
Won'T tell him you said that.
Terrence Bates
We'll take it. We'll take it in the 40s. As long as it's not freezing. We'll take anything above freezing. Adrian, always good to see you, my friend. We'll talk tomorrow.
David Brody
Likewise, Terrence.
Terrence Bates
All right. And once again there, folks, at the bottom of your screen, you see that QR code, go ahead and scan it. Right now and join our friends over at Weather Nation so you can have your forecast at your fingertips at any time. All right, let's get over to our resident New Yorker. That would be David Brody, even though he doesn't live in New York anymore. David, I'm sorry, but Denver is better than New York. Denver is greater than you are. I might make a shirt like that. Denver is greater than New York. Yeah, that might be my millionaire idea.
David Brody
I lived in Colorado for 10 years and worked in Denver for seven. I love Denver, for sure. There's no doubt about that. All right, T. Bates. We have new information surrounding a shocking attack in Savannah, Georgia, over the weekend. Sources within local law enforcement are telling the Georgia Record that the recent chemical attack in Forsyth park may not have been random. Investigators believe that the victim, a white Christian woman, was deliberately targeted after leaving a Christian event on late Sunday. Savannah police said they were looking to identify a man who isn't a suspect, but he may be connected to the case. Joining us now with the details is the CEO of CDM Press. That would be L. Todd Wood. Good morning to you, sir. So tell us what you know about this attack, because there's obviously questions about whether or not it's some sort of potential hate crime against a Christian woman. Is Christianity involved here as it relates to the potential motive? What are you hearing this morning? Good morning. Thank you for having me on. You. Look, I grew up in Savannah. This is really horrific. I grew up on an idyllic little island off the coast called Isle of Hope. And Savannah is a beautiful place, but it's being intentionally destroyed. In my opinion, the government is very globalist. They're connected to Soros. The mayor is out of Chicago, and you got to look at pattern recognition here. This is a pattern in Islamic countries and African countries. When they're looking to really just infiltrate and take over a society, one of the first things they do is pour acid on the women, especially if they're connected to Christianity. This guy was in the bushes. He was waiting for her, we think. We have sources inside law enforcement in Savannah that say it's very possible that they were targeting a white Christian woman for that exact reason. Savannah is very important. It's not just a tourist destination. It's a port of entry into the United States. It has a huge military presence. And we really think that this is not what it seems, especially when you've got all the mainstream media going out and saying it was a random attack. It's random. I heard that word over and over and over. And if you look at history and you look at global geopolitics and what is going down in other countries, I think it's very possible it could be attack on Christianity itself. So just so I understand what you're saying, you're saying that because he was hiding in the bushes and because he used acid, they're putting those two things together to suggest that these have the traits of it being a potential attack against a Christian woman. But what is the evidence. Do we have any evidence that the source of sources are actually saying to you? Well, the evidence is that she was leaving directly a Christian event. And so, I mean, that's what they're saying to us. It is very likely that this is what happened, that they targeted this woman deliberately and waited for her and were going after her specifically.
Terrence Bates
All right, so let's broaden the scope a little bit then, because the other thing I heard you say is that you believe that. That Savannah maybe. I'm reading into this a little bit, so please clarify. But you believe that Savannah itself, given its geographic location, given the fact that it's a port city, it also is a military city. Fort Benning, I believe, is right outside of Savannah. You believe that it could potentially be another target, be it religious or otherwise.
David Brody
I think it's a globalist target. And Benning is across the state, but Fort Stewart is right there. You've got Hunter Army Airfield, where a lot of the special operations aviation works out of routinely. And, yeah, the city is extremely important. You've got the nuclear plant right up the road on the Savannah River. The port is one of the biggest ports of entry in that region. Very critical to get goods to Atlanta, which was create. You know, created itself years ago for. Because it was a logistics destination in that region of the country. So, yes, I think Savannah is very important. It's obvious they brought in people to run the city. The. The mayor and others who are not from the region. And, you know, Soros, Das, all that same M.O. that you see in New Orleans that you see in other great American cities is happening there. And I had a resident tell me, look, we're turning into New Orleans. We can't let this happen. And so that's why we're raising the flag on this. I had people calling me all night when that happened. You got to get this out. This is a big story. And so we broke it nationally, and we want to continue talking about the attacks on Christianity globally.
Emily Finn
Actually, certainly the investigation needs to be handled extremely well to get down to what the motive here really was. Now, Todd I do want to switch gears before we let you go. We want to talk about the shooting at Brown University over the weekend. The attack left two dead and at least nine wounded. Authorities arrested a person of interest on Sunday, later released him. Now authorities have no current suspect, and the investigation is still ongoing there as well. What kind of motive do you think we're looking at in this attack?
David Brody
Look, I mean, we spend a lot of time. I'm going to Beirut next month again for like the fifth time this year. We spend a lot of time overseas, and we have reporters on the ground all over. And what I see in this is, yes, the individual attacks were horrific, but you had Savannah, you had Brown, you had two other, you know, attacks, mass shootings, et cetera, across the country, the Syrian attack on US forces, the Australian attack, all within 48 hours. So I see this, you know, looking at pattern recognition, again, globally, as someone, you know, directed. This is a coordinated effort, and I think that's the big story, not necessarily the violence at each of these locations. But I want to know who is behind this? What is their agenda? Are they trying to stop peace negotiations with Israel? Are they trying to, you know, push an infiltration in certain areas? What is the actual agenda behind this? And we're going to do a lot of research on that at CDM and put something out in the next few days. So just so I understand, you're saying you think it's a coordinated, you think it's coordinated what, the US Soldiers being killed in the Australia attack and the Savannah situation? Well, I think it's very possible. I mean, all of these happened within a very short period of time, within 48 hours. And again, I look at patterns and we see, for instance, what's going on in Lebanon with the attacks on the Christian community. Very, very similar M.O. so that's my. I just look at patterns, and this is a pattern. L. Todd Wood, thanks for being here. Appreciate it. You bet.
Terrence Bates
Thanks.
David Brody
All right. Coming up, a federal judge deals a major blow to the Justice Department, ordering prosecutors to return seized files from a close friend of James Comey. Details after the break.
Emily Finn
Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily Finn. It's great to have you with us this morning. Time now to drain the swamp. And this morning, we are once again flushing out James Comey. A federal judge is delivering to make a major setback to the Justice Department, ruling that prosecutors violated the constitutional rights of a close friend, a former FBI director, James Comey. The judge ordered the DOJ to return computer files it sees from Daniel Richmond A Columbia University law professor saying the government improperly retained and searched his electronic records without a valid warrant. The decision creates a major obstacle for any future attempt to re indict Comey after a previous case against him was dismissed last month. Joining us now with reaction is RAV chief White House correspondent Brian Glenn. Brian, good morning to you. How is the administration reacting to this development?
David Brody
Well, this is a major setback in all of that. And of course, President Trump has often.
Terrence Bates
Talked about the Russia hoax, the Russia, Russia, Russia.
David Brody
That was the genesis of a lot of the conspiracy theories that swirled after the 2020 election.
Terrence Bates
And now, as you laid out, a judge has ruled that those items were unlawfully seized by the government and they must be returned. But the good news is that a judge also ruled that they can reapply for another warrant to get it back. Now, as of right now, that from the Justice Department, that has not happened.
David Brody
From Pam Bondi, but I do anticipate.
Terrence Bates
Her kind of recycling that through.
David Brody
But all of us have lived through all of these hoax and all these.
Terrence Bates
Conspiracy theories that were called conspiracy theories, the Russia hoax and many others. All the genesis from James Comey. So this is a slight setback, Emily, but there is a little bit of hope that they can reapply for that warrant, get those items back into hand and then proceed with the process from there.
Emily Finn
Slight setback there, Brian. You know, we were talking a little bit during the break, just a horrific, horrific weekend. So much violence. I'm wondering, has there been any word from inside the West Ring regarding the Hanukkah terror attack in Australia?
David Brody
Yeah, there obviously, the president pushing out a statement about that.
Terrence Bates
Obviously, violence like that, there's no place in our society. And unfortunately, we were kind of talking offline here.
David Brody
This is the world that we live.
Terrence Bates
In right now, whether it's the attack in October that Hamas.
David Brody
Initiated from there.
Terrence Bates
Or if it's attacked there on Bondi beach, which my son just three days ago was on that same beach on a work project. So I'm very fortunate that he was.
David Brody
Not there, obviously, to be a part of that. But as we look around the news.
Terrence Bates
Right now, and you know, it's going into the holiday season, you know, I.
David Brody
Just want to lean into our viewers.
Terrence Bates
To say a prayer for everyone that we can, you know, this evil, we can be protected from this evil, Emily. But it's, it's definitely interesting times that we live in right now. But as far as the stance that President Trump has taken, whether or not.
David Brody
It'S the ISIS attack on American troops.
Terrence Bates
There in Syria or any one of these other the Brown University to kind of get to the bottom of the.
David Brody
Who was behind that?
Terrence Bates
What was the motivation behind that? But definitely a lot in the news cycle right now, unfortunately, this close to.
Emily Finn
The holiday season, Prayers are certainly needed right now. Brian, 30 seconds before we let you go, what is on the president's schedule for the rest of the day?
David Brody
Okay. A little bit later tonight, he does.
Terrence Bates
Have another Christmas kind of celebration there, reception at the White House. He also has at 3 o' clock, there is a medal presentation to basically in regards to border security. We'll find out a little more details about that.
David Brody
And we'll have that for you live here on Real America's Voice. All right.
Emily Finn
Thank you so much, Brian Glenn. Coming up, we are headed down to Wall street for the opening bell and a hot tip on how the stock market can tell us what's going to happen in the Obamacare battle. We'll be back with more American Sunrise in just two minutes.
Terrence Bates
Good morning, Dallas, Texas, East Texas, technically, always good. Maybe it's north Texas east, Northeast Texas. Let's. Let's just kind of played there in the middle. Anyway, we're getting ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's set to ring here in just a couple of minutes. But really quickly, let's bring in David Brody. David, last week I played you a song that I said is a Christmas staple in the Bates household. And I want to kind of get us into the Christmas spirit. You said that what I played wasn't really long enough to help you decipher. So here's a little bit more of that song. Let's see if you know it. Guys, let's play this. So this is part of what I played you. Just listen closely. Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse in my mind. I was want you to be free.
David Brody
I got nothing. You.
Terrence Bates
You don't know this song?
David Brody
I got nothing. At first I thought it was a chipmunks. When I heard the squirrel. No, I got nothing.
Terrence Bates
Okay, we're just going to hold on for one second here because you will know it after this. Here we come.
David Brody
Now. Here.
Terrence Bates
So first of all, I will give you this. This is the Temptations.
David Brody
I love the Temptations. I love the Temptations.
Terrence Bates
You love the Temptations. Temptations. All right, here it comes. You will know after the first couple of words here. All right, there you have it, David. That the Temptations version of Silent Night. I'm surprised you didn't know this because you are such a well rounded person. I just knew that you would be able to decipher that. That was Silent Night by the Temptations, but that is a Bates classic. That's a standard in our household. So that's the first song that I will be playing of this week of the Bates Christmas because we're going to be jamming out all week. So I just wanted to add that and share that with you, David.
David Brody
I will say this. I love Motown. Motown. I love the Temptations. I will add that to my list. But I have not heard that. That. Just an FYI. Okay, sorry.
Terrence Bates
Now you have. So the Temptations, Silent Night. There you go. All right, we've got more of the show to do. So, David, take it over.
David Brody
I love it. All right, time for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. Let's bring in Jake Novak. Of course. He's the American Sunrise Early Edition host, the guy behind Jake's take, substack. Jake, I was gonna ask you about the song, but we gotta get to some other stuff. There seems to be no solution to the Obamacare deadlock in Congress. But. But you're saying there is a way to reliably predict what's going to happen. So please channel your inner Johnny Carson. You are Carnac the Magnificent. Please tell us. Yes, my crystal ball. Look, if you want to know what's going to happen, pay attention to the health insurance stocks and where they're going. If they go up in the coming days, that means that it's likely that the Obamacare subsidies will be extended for a certain period of time, because that's money in their pockets. If they go down, that means that their inside sources, and they pay a lot for their inside sources are telling them, nope, this thing's going to die. And the money train that's been coming into the insurance companies is going to at least be interrupted again. Now, Wall street is wrong sometimes, but it's important to remember Wall street doesn't lie with its own money. They lie all the time on tv. But when it comes to what they bet on, they don't deliberately bet on losers. So that's something to tell you. And UnitedHealthcare shares, for example, last few days, they've been up 3% over the last few days. And that's a stock that's been beaten up badly all year. That tells me that if the odds maker, if I had to be an odds maker, I'd say we're going to see these subsidies get continued.
Terrence Bates
I'm not in favor of that.
David Brody
But I'm just telling you, at least the folks on Wall street seem to think that. But I'll watch to see if that tide changes in the next couple of days. Interesting, because I would, I would expect that actually just politically that, that it wouldn't happen. But we'll see. All right. All right. Speaking of predictions, the prediction markets have changed dramatically when it comes to who will be the next Fed chairman. So who's the frontrunner now? It's not you, Jake, is it? I just want to double check that. No, it's not me. Although I'd be happy to do that job. I mean, not a lot of work going on there at the Fed that's necessary. They're doing a lot of studies and things like that. But apparently Kevin Warsh, it's the battle of the two Kevins and this isn't this exciting. Who's going to be the next Fed chairman? Yeah, I mean, I really don't care. Yeah, I really don't care. And this is my business. I still don't care because it just doesn't really seem to matter. But it's between Kevin Warsh and Kevin Hassett, two good guys, by the way, Kevin Wash, used to be a Fed governor, is in banking now a private of his own. And then there's Kevin Hassett who leads the President's economic team. And Kevin Hasset's a great interview on tv, says a lot of great stuff, but that's who it's. Apparently Warshnow is in the front runner. Front is the front runner based on something President Trump said to the Wall Street Journal over the weekend or before the weekend.
Terrence Bates
And.
David Brody
Okay, but the Fed's still going to do what it does based on apparently no real reasons whatsoever. And I am a big fan of a major downsizing at the Fed, maybe even its eventual elimination. So, you know, honestly, I'm not going to get too excited about this, but the viewers should know it looks like Warsh ahead of Hassett right now in the horse race. Okay, good to know. Good to know. Yeah, you'd be like to be the chairman of the, of the board that runs the Fed out of town. So I appreciate it, Jake. Thanks for being here. Yeah. All right. Bye.
Terrence Bates
Bye.
David Brody
All right, time for Terrence and the Temptations. We're going to go to the Denver for the New York Stock Exchange opening sponsored by amac. The association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can write The Course of.
Terrence Bates
America, Terrence and the Temptations. That sounds like a children's book or something like that. We're getting ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. You hear the applause which is underway. And we'll hear the bell here momentarily. And then we'll get an idea of how the markets are looking on this first day of trading of this week. All right, the bell is going to ring here in short order. There you have it right there. The markets are now officially open. And just like that, that it looks like it's a decent start. The Dow and The S P500 are both showing to be in the green. The NASDAQ is down at the moment. We, of course, will continue to monitor all of the indices for you throughout the day. It looks like the NASDAQ just turned up green. All of that obviously can change quite literally within a second, but so far, so good. Looks like crude oil is the only red spot on our board at the moment. We'll continue to monitor all this, though, for you throughout the day. Well, there are lots of politicians out there that should be getting coal in their stocking for Christmas. The Birch Gold Group, however, thinks that as a smart planner, you deserve silver. And that's why for every $5,000 you purchase between now and December 22, the Birch Gold Group will send you an ounce of silver, which is up over 60% this year. Smart people diversify and have a hedge. That's why we encourage you to buy gold from the Birch Gold Group. With the rate cuts from the Fed coming in 2026, the dollar will likely be worth less. And what happens if the BU if the bubble bursts on AI? Well, that's where diversification comes in. Allow the Birch Gold Group to help you convert an existing IRA or 401k into a tax sheltered IRA and physical gold. For every $5,000 you buy, you'll get an ounce of silver for your stocking or for your kids. Stocking. What a great way to teach them about saving. All you have to do in order to qualify is Text the word America to the number 989-898 and claim your eligibility for this offer. Again, text America to the number 9898. 98. Today, because the Burch Gold group's free silver with qualifying purchases promotion ends on December 22nd. Text the word America to the number 9,898. 98. Still to come here on American Sunrise, a Georgia mother is fighting for her life after a brutal chemical attack in a Savannah park. Now investigators are exploring what may have targeted her or why she may have been targeted after leaving a Christmas event. That story is next.
Emily Finn
Emily Finn, thank you so much for joining us this morning. We invite you to join the conversation on Getter and Rumble. Time now to take the political pulse of America in the beat. Today, a brutal chemical attack in Savannah is raising new and disturbing questions, including whether the victim was targeted for her faith. A 46 year old woman is fighting for recovery after a stranger poured a highly corrosive chemical onto her head while she walked at Forsyth park just hours after attending a Christmas program at a nearby church. Police say the attack appears random, but family and friends note that she was not robbed, had no known enemies and was simply walking laps through the park when someone approached her from behind and doused her with the liquid. As investigators work with the FBI to identify the substance and track down the attacker, some are asking whether this could have been a targeted anti Christian attack. Joining us now with reaction is the host of America's Voice Live, Steve Gruber. He's also the host of the Steve Gruber Show. Steve, does this look like an anti Christian attack? I know the investigation is still ongoing, but it's raising some questions for sure.
David Brody
Like always, I try to sit back and see what the facts are before I jump to any conclusions. But certainly with the events of the last 48 hours, one has to wonder about faith under attack not just here in America, but around the globe. What we saw at Bondi beach in Australia, what we saw at Brown University, which also appears to be a targeted attack potentially. And of course, the attack on American military personnel in Syria and then this in Savannah. It's hard not to sit here and say, look, would any of us be surprised if we led the news tomorrow with an attack on faith here in the United States? The answer is no. Sadly, none of us would be surprised. So we'll let the facts come out. We'll see where the investigation leads. But certainly it's a concern today. I mean, are people less likely to go to a Christmas parade right now or a gathering of Hanukkah or anything else? Possibly. Terrorism works because it frightens people. It frightens people into being quiet, into not speaking their minds and to not practicing their faith. And so that's the biggest concern to me, as you know. An infringement on the First Amendment.
Terrence Bates
No, fully understood. And there's still lots of information that needs to come out. But we, of course, will continue to cover all of it for you. Meantime, Steve, I want to change gears just a little bit. Republicans in The House of Representatives are revealing their own health care plan. That proposal includes a provision that basically allows small businesses to buy insurance plans for their employees. All of this comes after the Senate voted down both GOP and Democrat proposals last week. How close do you think, Steve, we are to approaching a final plan for replacing Obamacare, or at least getting some traction in coming up with a feasible health care plan?
David Brody
Short of killing the filibuster, we're not close at all. That's the only way you can get any of these things done. Look, the health savings accounts, brilliant idea. Rand Paul's idea of medical associations where groups like Costco has 44 million members and that group could go negotiate for medical rates with United Health Care, Blue Cross, Blue Shield. These are smart ideas. Obamacare is a failure. It's always been a failure. It will always be a failure. Unless you paper it over with billions of dollars of taxpayer money. It doesn't work. Look, my health care premiums have gone up every year for 15 years in a row. This year more dramatically. Okay? That's not going to change if you continue to push taxpayer dollars into a system that doesn't work. It failed and it failed by design. They knew it wouldn't work. The Democrats set the the end date for these enhanced subsidies as they call now. They want to be permanent subsidies. They want a three year extension. And sadly, some weak willed, soft spined Republicans are wanting to go along with that nonsense. There's no solving that by just adding more taxpayer dollars. You can't prop up the EV industry with taxpayer dollars. It's not a business plan. It's a pipe dream to filch the taxpayers. It's a grift. That's what it is. Stop it. Grow a spine. And if you can't get it done, get rid of the filibuster. That's the answer in my estimation. Terrence.
Emily Finn
Steve, looking now to developments in Syria over the weekend. Want to get to this story as well. So much happened over this weekend. President Trump is promising a very serious retaliation after two service members, US Service members and a civilian were killed in an attack. Attack in Syria. Officials are blaming the Islamic State terror group for the attack. Steve, what do you think this retaliation is going to look like?
David Brody
Well, it's hard to say. You know, Donald Trump came out yesterday and expressed his condolences to those in Australia, to those in Providence, Rhode island and to those in Syria. Look, he said the Syrians fought right alongside us against these ISIS attackers, the Islamic State terrorists. He said they fought alongside of us. You'd like to think that's a good idea. And maybe that sounds good, but you have to wonder. Syria is. It's moving. The ground is not stable under our feet or theirs at this moment. It's been a long time that it's been, you know, out of the league of civilized nations. It's going to take a lot of rehabilitation to get it back to where it belongs. I don't know what the retaliation looks like, but I'm going to say it probably comes in the form of predator drones, for example. It comes in the. In the form of the United States military vaporizing those terrorists like it vaporizes drug boats. I see the United States military striking back hard and viciously, as we should. But the question then becomes, how hard and viciously can you strike back and still strike an alliance, an accommodation with the nation, the emerging nation of Syria? That's the question you have here. That's why I leave it to the professionals at the Pentagon to find the right answer and the right formula to set us on the right path. It cannot go unanswered, obviously, but the question is, how do you negotiate that with the president of Syria and so forth.
Emily Finn
Steve Gruber, thank you so much for joining us this morning.
David Brody
Thanks, guys.
Emily Finn

That would be Trevor Comstock who joins us here on American Sunrise. Well, the inspiration behind this is pretty fascinating. I'm curious to get your take on how this all started, Trevor, but beyond that, I know it's Christmas week or about to be Christmas week. You got some specials out there. It's too. Yeah, yeah. Well, with the time I had, I definitely just wanted to mention that we are currently running our Christmas sale for 20 off all products. So you can use code Christmas at checkout like I mentioned for 20 off any one time order. So again, I wanted to mention that before I forget. But also with that too, you know, we are of course known for our grass fed beef liver which is amazing for overall vitality and energy. But our new tallow moisturizer has been extremely popular. And I also wanted to give a heads up. We sold out last week but we are now back in stock and we have our team working around the clock to make sure that orders are fulfilled. And again, each jar is handmade so it does take us a little bit of time to produce the jars. But we are back in stock and we still get a lot of questions around it. So, you know, for, for anyone that doesn't know, the the tallow is just made with the two ingredients which is the 100 grass fed and finished beef tallow and then we pair it with the raw manuka honey. So that's it. We don't include any preservatives, fillers, seed oils or any synthetic junk. And what's pretty amazing about tallow is that it's almost identical to the natural oils that your skin produces. So it actually absorbs much more deeply and nourishes the skin as opposed to just sitting on top of it, which unfortunately is the case with a lot of skincare products you see on the market. And then to take a step further, Tallow's, you know, loaded with natural vitamins like vitamin A, D, E, as well as K. What your skin essentially needs to stay healthy and radiant. And one of the questions we get asked a lot is who it's intended for. So it is intended for both men and women. I use it every day. I obviously love it. But it really is amazing for things like bringing down eczema, general dry skin, as well as daily skin hydration. So again, you can use on your face, your body, your hands, or pretty much anywhere that your skin might need it.
Emily Finn
It.
David Brody
And as I mentioned too, we just pair it with the Ramenuka honey, which is a naturally occurring anti inflammatory, antibacterial and healing remedy. So it's pretty powerful. But if you have, you know, irritated skin or redness, separa, as I mentioned, eczema, it works great in those scenarios. And it also just locks in the moisture, moisture within your skin without clogging your pores, which is pretty remarkable. And then of course, you know, if you just want to compare it to other skin care products on the market, those can sometimes be beneficial. But the issue with those is they're usually contain, you know, a ton of synthetic ingredients, alcohols, fragrances, and other cheap fillers that unfortunately can damage your skin barrier over time. So that's essentially why we created this product in the first place, was just to offer something clean and natural that has the natural vitamins to actually nourish your skin. So again, as I mentioned, you can pretty much put it anywhere on your body that you intend to. And of course, if you do have any questions, you can always just reach out to us and let us know if there's anything that we can help with. But definitely just want to touch on that specific product. Good to know. 30 seconds, real quick about when can people potentially see results when they start to use these products? We've got 30 seconds. Yeah. So all of our products vary a little bit. With the beef liver, a lot of people notice the natural energy boost within a few weeks, sometimes up to a month. Month for the tallow moisturizer, that's pretty much instant, usually a week to see really good results, especially if you have a little bit of redness. And then our other products, same thing. Usually about a few weeks to a month to see the the positive results. But also, you know, as I mentioned, just make sure to use Code Christmas at checkout for 20 off any one time order. If you just go to sacredhumanhealth.com and then as I mentioned, let us know if you have any questions. Sacredhumanhealth.com See, I was going to ask you about it, but you said it and now I said it. So there you go. Everybody's got it. Sacredhumanhealth.com Trevor Com thanks for being here. Appreciate it. Thanks, David. All right. Coming up, when Trump derangement goes terminal. Hollywood fled America and their fame flatlined. We'll discuss it when we come back. Let's spill some tea.
Emily Finn
Let's spill some tea. Fueled by Artillery Tea Company, the only America first veteran owned tea brand and their mission to maximize flavor with whole leaf blends in chemical free tea bags. No junk, just real tea. And here's the tactical each bag brews twice. Just go to artillerytco.com and use the code RAV for 10% off your first order. Again, that website is artillerytco.com premium tea, mission driven and brewed for the brave. It is time now to spill some tea. And in the cup today, the Trump derangement syndrome epidemic. We've seen this movie before. Ellen DeGeneres, Rosie O', Donnell, others fleeing America in protest, thinking that distance would cure chump derangement. But here's the twist. They left and their stars faded. Ellen's skin care line didn't save her career and now she's reportedly eyeing a move back to California. Rosie o' Donnell fled to Ireland over Trump and even her therapist told her to take a break. Some cases of Trump derangement syndrome don't respond to distance. The damage is done. They've been forgotten and America moved on without them. And they're not alone. More anti Trump Hollywood elites are quietly following the same path, looking less like cultural icons and more like shadows of their former selves. We want to know what you, our viewers, think about all of this. Let us know on Rumble or Getter. Hop on and let your voice be heard. Still to come on American Sunrise, a reindeer who thinks he's a dog and his owner explains why this one is cute. But first, here's a look at an upcoming documentary you won't watch to miss.
David Brody
The radical left knows exactly what they're doing. They want to steal the election. We're going to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. Events in Washington have taken a violent and tumultuous. January 6th wasn't just a moment in.
Emily Finn
History for thousands of Americans, it was.
David Brody
The moment their voices were taken. It's insurrection. They were persecuted, hunted, seditious conspiracy. But behind prison walls, something unexpected happened.
Terrence Bates
They found their voice again, started singing the national anthem.
David Brody
We took it up to him at Mar a Lago. He goes, I'll put my voice on it. Our supporters made this go platinum.
Emily Finn
Real America's voice is telling the real story of January 6th like you've never seen it before.
David Brody
Everybody, this must be peaceful. This is not the story you were shown. I take responsibility.
Emily Finn
This is the story they lived government.
David Brody
Entrapment scheme that this actually was.
Emily Finn
The J6 Patriots are no longer staying silent.
Terrence Bates
They are speaking.
Emily Finn
They are standing and they are telling the truth.
Terrence Bates
You can't kill us.
David Brody
You can't beat us. They tried to silence them.
Emily Finn
Instead, they woke up an entire nation. The sleeping giant coming soon. Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily Finn. Thank you so much for joining us today. Time now for the sunny side up and in the pan today, meet Lars the reindeer, who's pretty sure he's a dog raised by spaniels on a reindeer farm in the uk. Lars drinks from the dog's water bowl, hangs outside, hangs out inside the home rather, and seems way more interested in his canine friends than the rest of the herd. Honestly, his owner tells it best. Take a listen to what he had to say. The only option to us was to take him in and basically become his mother. So that's what I did.
David Brody
The mothers dote on them.
Emily Finn
They really do.
David Brody
And I needed to give him that.
Emily Finn
There was no point having him out in the stable, going out every two hours to see him.
David Brody
The dogs are really fundamental, I think because they gave him the.
Emily Finn
Yeah. At that animal interaction, you know, they would lick him and over his face.
David Brody
Which obviously I draw my line at. But you know, it's. And just that snuggling up together.
Emily Finn
He had companionship. He needed to be part of a.
David Brody
Family, whether it be a reindeer family, which the calves which are out with the mums will form a nursery group.
Emily Finn
And the other mums come and look out for them. So he needed us.
David Brody
And I think that was critical in.
Emily Finn
Success successfully raising him. Well, that was awfully cute. I don't know if this. This reindeer, maybe a goat. I'm not too sure. I'm not sure if they're gonna make it on Santa's play this year. A little small to be a reindeer.
Terrence Bates
What I For what I expected from a reindeer. Not that I'm like the expert on reindeer. I would probably cede that to Dr. Gina in this show, but it looks small. David. For what I thought of a reindeer, I expected reindeers to be much larger. Even though it may be a young reindeer.
David Brody
Yeah. And if Gina were here today, she'd want to adopt this reindeer. Let's be clear about that. You know, that that would just add to her Dr. Dolittle collection at her home. A couple of things. First of all, I'm happy for Lars, you know, God bless him, her, whatever it is. Exactly. So that's great. Though I will say, I kind of feel like Lars is having an identity crisis and we need to pray for Lars. I'm not sure is dog. Reindeer. We're not quite sure, but good for it.
Emily Finn
There's a place for Lars with all the rest of the reindeer. Maybe if it's not like with Comet and Rudolph on Santa sleigh. Maybe it's like in the back of the sleigh. Like a lapdog kind of thing. There for emotional relief, I suppose.
David Brody
Lars the Red Nosed Reindeer. That could be the new sequel.
Emily Finn
I like it.
David Brody
That's great. Why not? This is so cute.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, it's cute. Still just a little weird though. Like, I mean, I get that, you know, you kind of a culture. So if. If Lars the Reindeer is around dogs and the dog showed him love, he now has assimilated and thinks he's a dog. Like, I get that. He just still doesn't look like a reindeer to me. At least not what I expected from a reindeer. I thought reindeer were much boy.
David Brody
That's very judgmental. You have a high standard for reindeer. You clearly do. T. Bates you.
Terrence Bates
Apparently.
David Brody
Yes.
Emily Finn
It looks like Lars had a little accent.
Terrence Bates
Got a reindeer bia.
Emily Finn
Reindeer bias. Lars only had one antler. Did you guys see that?
David Brody
Yeah. What's going on there?
Emily Finn
I'm not too sure. I'm not too sure. Yeah, only antler.
David Brody
This comb over feels like an investigative situation at this point.
Emily Finn
I know.
David Brody
What's that?
Emily Finn
We have to get down to the bottom of this.
Terrence Bates
It feels like a comb over antler. It's not even a real looking antler. I got questions. I'm sorry, I'm trying to reserve my reindeer bias, but I got questions about Lars. I'm just gonna put it out there.
David Brody
That's right. Well, I'm not.
Emily Finn
Not too sure if we will have the answers, but I wish him the best of luck on his journey with his identity.
Terrence Bates
Hey, Lars. Just one piece of advice. It's a dog eat dog world out there, Lars, so just be careful.
David Brody
Well, he's one of the dogs, you know, who let the reindeer out? Who let the dogs out? I don't know. Somebody.
Emily Finn
All right, well, guys, great show today. I had a lot of fun filling in for Gina. Looking forward to her being back and we'll have to introduce her to Lars. I know that he would have a spot.
Terrence Bates
Probably adopting Lars as we speak. She's probably out of.
Emily Finn
She's reaching out, trying to figure out how to do this.
David Brody
All right. Gosh, where do you put a reindeer on your. In your. At your home, by the way?
Emily Finn
Gina would find that feels like a zoning ordinance.
David Brody
That's a zoning ordinance.
Emily Finn
All right, good stuff, you guys. We will be back tomorrow with more American Sunrise. War room is up next.
David Brody
Next.
Emily Finn
Go boldly now.
David Brody
This is an I heart podcast. Guaranteed human.
