Visit shop.colgate.com total just ahead on American Sunrise, controversy surrounding President Trump's chief of staff, Susie Wiles. A new piece in Vanity Fair claims she made some statements about President Trump and Vice President Vance and others. How much of this is true? We're going to break it down. Plus, President Trump has declared the Maduro regime in Venezuela a foreign terror organization. What are the next steps? We have analysis and later action on health care. The House is set to vote on its health care bill. Bill without an extension of the Obamacare subsidies. How will this impact your wallet? We have those stories. So much more. American Sunrise starts right now. Good morning, America. Welcome to American sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you. Politics. President Trump is joining us live now from Florida. We've got you covered. This is what it looks like to be a patriot. We have to protect the American family. The American dream is still alive. I'm David Brody. I'm terrence. And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning. I'm Dr. G. It's good to be back with you. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David brody in Washington, D.C. and T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, guys. Good morning. Dr. G. Welcome back. Good morning. Thank you. Welcome back. The world's a better place. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It is nice, nice to be back. And you guys were at no want for news while I was out for those couple of days. Oh, there was a lot of news. And Dr. Gina, you're returning and it continues. I have to admit, David and Gina, I feel like we're in 1977 in the early 80s. We're talking blockades this morning, oil tankers not being allowed into Venezuela. President Trump also out with this true social on designating Maduro and the regime there in Venezuela foreign terror organizations. He writes, quote, therefore, today I am ordering a total and complete blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers going into and out of Venezuela, the illegal aliens and criminals that the Maduro regime is sent into the United States during the week, and in App Biden administration are being returned to Venezuela at a rapid pace. By the way, President Trump is set to speak from the White House at 9:00 tonight. Obviously, he's already seized a ship in the Caribbean and he has already been striking suspected drug boats off the coast of Venezuela as well as throughout the Caribbean. Whoo. Take a breath, Terrence, because there's a lot to get in. Dr. Gina, since you're just back, give us some perspective on all that the President is doing and what you're expecting to hear from him tonight during that, during that national address. I have a feeling we will hear about this, but I think we'll also hear a lot about his economic plan. He really, really has caught on to the fact that, you know, for whatever reason, Americans aren't feeling his economic changes in their wallets. Although I do have a good friend who told me she just did her taxes and she said, I can't believe all the tax benefits I got from Trump policies. She said, but you know, what seems unfair to me is that all the people that didn't vote for him get those tax policies, too. Yeah, that's how it works. But in addition to some economic changes that we'll begin to feel, I think, that he wants to talk about. I think he's going to talk about this. And I will tell you that people on the ground who are in drug enforcement are telling me that they completely see it. You know, I was talking to a lot of the Border Patrol. You know, I know them from when I lived in San Diego. I keep in touch with a couple of them, and they said it's just night and day there, which is amazing. I mean, it's countless lives saved. David. Yeah, look, there's a lot going on, so we've got to keep it pretty short. I'll just say this about the President's speech tonight. It's clearly going to be about affordability. And let's not. Let's understand, right? I mean, it's from the Oval Office. That means it's elevated. It's a big deal. Which means the White House is understanding the seriousness of getting a hold of the narrative on the affordability issue, that they've got to do it and they've got to do it now. Now, this is going to be Akin, if you will, and hear me out for a second. It's going to be akin to President Clint, in saying, I feel your pain with the thumb, of course, President Trump isn't going to say it like that, but he's going to somehow have to channel what Americans, middle class Americans are feeling out there. They're frustrated. So he's going to have to defend the administration without coming across as defensive. It'll be a thread the needle moment. We'll watch it tonight, guys. Yeah, it'll be very interesting. Definitely going to be interesting. Dr. Gina, would you give us our Bible verse, please? Yeah, yeah. All right. It's from Second Corinthians 4, 6. Yeah. For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. What a beautiful one. I'm not even sure I know that one. Second Corinthians 4, verse 6. All right, turning our story, our attention now to our top story, the Vanity Fair piece of President Trump's chief of staff, Susie Wiles. She made some comments there for Vanity Fair, reportedly said Trump has an alcoholic's personality and is on a retribution Tour. Vice President J.D. vance has been a conspiracy theorist for a decade. And AG Bambondi whiffed on the Epstein files, among other things that were said. Wiles called it a hit piece. Vance came to Wiles defense. Take a look. And you know why I really love Susie Wiles? Because Susie is who she is in the president's presence. She's the same exact person when the President isn't around. I've never seen Susie Wiles say something to the President and then go and counteract him or subvert his will behind the scenes. And that's what you wanted, a staffer. Because as much as I love Susie, the American people didn't elect any staffer. They elected the President of the United States. And what you want. And what you want in a staffer is a person who understands they are there to effectuate the will of the American people. And they're there to follow the orders of the duly elected Commander in Chief of the United States. And Susie Wiles. We have our disagreements, we agree on much more than we disagree. But I've never seen her be disloyal to the President of the United States. And that makes her the best White House chief of staff that I think the President could ask for. For more, let's bring in Rav, White House correspondent Brian Glenn. Brian, this is a big story on Capitol Hill. Yeah, it is. And actually, good morning, everybody. It is a big story. And of Course, the reaction here at the White House has been what you expect. They've labeling this kind of a hit piece, maybe taking things out of context. You know, Susie Wiles sat down with this reporter for over a year, 11 times, allowing this reporter to be in some very intimate spaces like her home and office and things like that. But, you know, you got to say this, though. I would agree with what Vice President Jenny Vance said. She is almost a lot like President Trump. She's very honest, brutally honest, probably tells you how she feels, doesn't sugarcoat it. And I think that the American people can appreciate that. Now, I only say this, and this is what JD Vance ended up saying later, is I wish that they didn't spend as much time with these long formatted interviews with what they would consider the fake press. Vanity Fair has a long history of pushing out a very controversial articles that may appear far from the truth according to the Trump administration. So I just wish Susie Wiles would have sat down with Real America's voice. Yes, I would have loved to have a loving Times interview with her. Brian, I'm glad you brought that up because, I mean, come on, why, why even do it? Vanity Fair think about this for a second. This administration keeps having these long format interviews with outlets which they label fake news. So what? Why not have one with maybe some other news organizations that might actually print exactly. And broadcast exactly what you say and not spin it in any other political agenda there. But that's just me. But anyway, it's certainly getting a lot of attention since it's released here a couple days ago. Well, this is just, you know, this is like if the Biden administration gave the Federalist or Fox News online or us or whatever, you know, you know, like this expose, I mean, you know, they're going to not want to do that. I mean, this is the same thing. And then they're posing for pictures and the whole thing. But it actually isn't, David, because if the Biden administration gave Terrence Bates behind the scenes with Joe Biden, Terrence Bates would have reported it exactly as he saw it. There would have been no. Agreed. Right. This is the thing. Vanity Fair, they've done it to me. They did it to me. They lied about one of my children when he was a baby, my Samuel, my child with down syndrome, and wrote a big story. And it was all lies. They twist the truth. That's the difference though, David. We wouldn't have twisted the truth had we had behind the scenes interview with the Democrat administration. This is true. Well, I've got a lot, especially that Terrence Bates, David. I mean, you know, we all know that he is a Capital J journalist. So. Hey, Brian. So look, there's a lot. I've got kind of a two part question for you, Brian. Obviously, we want to start with President Trump designating the Maduro regime in Venezuela a foreign terror organization. Excuse me, President Trump already taking actions against suspected drug boats and of course, the oil ship in the Caribbean now offering up that blockade. I'd like you to kind of weigh in on the White House reaction to that. But even beyond that, coming up here in just a couple of hours, President Trump and the first lady going to be heading to Dover, Delaware to welcome home the bodies, if you will, for dignified transfer of those two Iowa National Guardsmen who were killed in Syria. I'm curious if the president will address that during his speech tonight at 9 o', clock, his address to the nation, and if he'll maybe even lay out the retaliation that might come or that might be planned against Syria as it relates to those killings. I know I'm giving you a lot, so take whichever question you like first. No, I think, no, I think you are going to he is going to address the economy as Dr. Gina laid out in the open. I do think we're going to see that as well. But here is a, here is A, three letters. You're going to hear a lot coming up in the next 90 days. D. That is designated terrorist organization. Designated terrorist organization. You're going to hear that a lot. And by him labeling Maduro a part of that, that's going to enable our military to take action on certain things that they view as being threatening to the U.S. now, in terms of the ceremony later today, I do think he addresses that tonight. I don't know if he lays out any specific plans for retaliation. It is so close to Christmas. I'm not that's the message that you necessarily want to send to the American people, that we could be getting into some type of, you know, escalation or any type of war. I don't think that's the message you send for Christmas. But, but he will, I fairly confident, will address his, his deepest condolences to the, to the families of those two individuals and lay out the blueprint for 2026 and how we can win the midterms because that's very important when it comes on the economy, which I do think he's going to touch on quite a bit tonight. There's a Daily Signal headline, Brian. Republicans weigh in on Bill Banning transgender Procedures. This was MTG sponsored. It reinforces Trump's EO on protecting kids from transgender surgeries. I texted a little bit with her about that. She's really frustrated with what some of her colleagues have done to this. Can you talk to us about will children end up being protected or will this eventually be gutted? Okay, let me lay this out as simplest as I can for our viewers right now. His executive order is to ban transgender surgeries on minors. Okay. That mirrors Marjorie's bill, Protect Children's Innocence act, which she actually introduced the last session of Congress. She reintroduced it this session of Congress. Now, what that would mean would be a complete ban. So if you're under 18 years old, you cannot, a doctor cannot perform transgender surgeries on a minor. It is a felony and it would probably serve some type of jail sentence. Chip Roy from Texas, who was running for Attorney General there in Texas as well, has put an amendment to this bill making it where it only takes away the ability to get a transition surgery on a minority in a federally funded facility, which means if the facility takes federal funds, you're not allowed to transition through any type of transitioning surgery, chemical castration, any kind of process on a minor. But if it's outside a federally funded facility, then it's all on. So basically, this waters down tremendously. Waters down this bill, which I can't think of a single person. If there's any Republicans out there that feel like it's okay to allow an 8, you know, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13 year old to transition their identity from male, female, vice versa. I cannot comprehend why Chip Roy wants to put this clause in there to protect people from doing it when 90% of the facilities that do these surgeries are not federally funded medical facilities. So you're not stopping the transition of kids. It's almost like, okay, you can, you can beat your kid in Louisiana, but a child abuse is illegal in Texas. Like, you got to make it across the board. This, this makes no sense. That vote comes, goes down today at 3 o' clock today. Tune in for that. But that is, Is there, Brian, quickly, is there. Do you want to see the number of people kicking party? Is there a number of people can call to. Well, you can, you can call Chip Roy's office. I'm not telling people to do that. But this is close to your heart. You want to protect kids from, from the trans agenda, then I suggest you do that. But if you want to see the heart and soul of the Republican Party, pay attention today at 3 o', clock. Because if this thing passes, you are basically saying, you know what? President Trump, your executive order to protect kids for transgender surgeries and the trans agenda doesn't matter. Yeah, Brian, they're playing the music in my ear. We're really in trouble. Thank you so much, Brian. Coming up, we're going to check out the hottest headlines from the RAV newsroom with T Fates. Stay with us. Georgia District Attorney Fannie Willis set to testify before Georgia State Senate panel today following a lengthy dispute over subpoenas and investigations into her handling of the election case involving President Trump. Lawmakers want answers about her office's conduct and the hiring of a prosecutor that she was involved with. Willis, of course, fighting to testify, also calling some of the subpoenas unlawful. For more, let's bring in Georgia state senator and congressional candidate Colt Moore. Colton, always good to see you, sir. So the case against President Trump has now officially been dropped, but obviously there are still questions that need to be answered relative to Fani Willis. Are you expecting that we will get those answers and that there will be some real accountability finally, Terrence? I mean, we've been coming on this show now for years trying to hold Fani Willis accountable. And this is going to be the best news on your show for all of your viewers. Fani Willis finally going to be at the hot seat. We don't know if the Democrats are going to show up or not, but we're still going to have quorum even with the Republicans there. We've got to get back to the original questions. Terrence, why did the grand jury not conclude and the indictment was already released? Was Fani Willis, judge shopping with Judge McAfee? Probably. So I hope that question's asked. I want to know about Nathan Wade. I want to know about all those trips that she took to the White House. We've got an opportunity finally, Terrence, to get these questions asked. And I think when Fani Willis starts talking, she's not going to stop talking. And she's done everything she can, including hiring her attorney, former Governor Roy Barnes. It's. It's finally. It's finally time she's taking the hot seat. All right, Colton, so look, I think we're all excited to hear these questions asked and to get some answers. But beyond that, many people have already made up their mind about her culpability in all of this. Will there be some real action taken against her following whatever these answers are that we ultimately get today? I hope so. I mean, Roy Barnes, when he was arguing in the supreme court, you know, one of his arguments against Fonny having to testify was all of these committee members are running for higher office. And I thought, well, yeah, they are, and that's going to be great because now they're motivated to actually get something done because here we go into election season and these people need to have a good news clip. Well, the only way you're going to get that good news clip is to hold fani Willis accountable so the stars are aligned, and I think that's great for justice and in Georgia and in America. All right, we shall see. We'll, of course, be tuning in to see how it all plays out. Colton, always good to talk to you. Sorry today was a bit shorter, but it's one of those days. A lot of news happening. Yes, sir. We'll see you soon, man. All right. Merry Christmas to you, by the way. Thanks so much. All right, let's get a quick check of your forecast now. Weather nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony joining us. By the way, we're going to put up a QR code here at the bottom of your screen. Go ahead and scan that QR code once it shows up, and then you can join our friends over at Weather nation. Tracy, good to see you. I'm looking at your map there, and my eyes are trained on the Pacific Northwest, which has been very active. Yeah, Very active last week and now once again, very active this week. So that's really where we're going to see most of the weather impacts. You can see the eastern US Is relatively calm and quiet now. The storms that are impacting the northwest will eventually make their way east, impacting the north central and the northeast as well. But for the day today, this is where we're going to have some of the biggest impacts. And you can see here this kind of brown orange color. You see, these are high wind warnings now, high wind warnings, high wind watches and wind advisories impacting up to or over 30 million people. And we're talking windows winds 60, 70 miles per hour, very widespread. So for the areas that are picking up snow, when you factor in the wind now, we have blizzard warnings that are in place. So visibility will be extremely low. And with the rain, we've already had two levees across parts of northern Washington break just since Monday. So, Terrence, this is just insult to injury to this area across the Northwest. All right, Tracy, aka T.T. we appreciate it and we'll check in with you next hour for our hometown forecast. For those of you just tuning in, if you don't know what that is, just log on to our various social media sites. Be it gettr, rumble, YouTube, let us know where you're hanging out. And you may be one of our lucky recipients of Tracy's hometown forecast. Up next, though, the fate of our healthcare. The House is slated to vote on its healthcare proposal today without an extension of expiring Obamacare subsidies. So what does all of this ultimately mean for you and your wallet? We'll discuss next. Season two of unrivaled basketball is here, and the talent is unreal. The best women's players on the planet are running it back with even bigger moments and bigger stakes. Cold day in Washington, everybody, on a Wednesday. Ooh, shall we listen to some Christmas music? Okay, we gotta get moving. We got a lot of news going on. Washington, D.C. by the way, the most powerful city in the world. And of course, one of the biggest stories out there is the fact that President Trump has designated Nicolas Maduro's regime in Venezuela a foreign terrorist organization. The old fto. Then Trump posted this truth bomb on social quote. I'm ordering a total and complete blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers going into and out of Venezuela. The illegal aliens and criminals that the Maduro regime has sent into the United States during the week, an inept Biden administration are being returned to Venezuela at a rapid pace. A lot more to unpack. So let's do that by bringing an Air Force Reserve colonel, emergency physician, and a candidate to be the next Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina. That would be Dr. Josh McConkie. Josh, thanks for being here. Look, President Trump has essentially said there are going to be land strikes inside of Venezuela as well as all of what he just posted. I'm curious to get your reaction to that and how you think that squares with the MAGA agenda. I'm not sure if anybody had invading Venezuela on their bingo card in Magaland. Well, when you look at fentanyl, that's specifically what they're kind of referencing here. And they actually made that a weapon of mass destruction. So during the Biden administration and those completely unsecured borders, we were killing 120,000Americans a year. I've practiced medicine for over 20 years. I'm an emergency doctor. And fentanyl is one of the scariest things I've seen. The Trump administration has done an amazing job of securing that border and decreasing those deaths. We're still seeing upwards of 10,000 or more, more like tens of thousands of Americans per year being killed. And it's a danger not only for communities, but for our law enforcement. So there's documented cases of coming if you're not wearing gloves when you're doing searches and seizures and you come into contact with that illicit fentanyl, there's cardiac arrest. It's killed people. So, you know, is it aggressive to call this weapons of mass destruction? You know, getting very aggressive with Venezuela? For me, the killing of 120,000Americans per year justifies that. But, Josh, just real quick, as a follow up, is this really just about drugs? I can't imagine it is. It's got to be about the oil. The revenue that we will receive, not into our federal budget, that's not where the revenue would go. But also the fact that this is about regime change. And if you cut off the oil, Maduro is toast. So that's a huge part of that as well. That tanker that they seized had turned off their monitoring, had been all over the world. It was carrying Iranian oil as well. So those clearly are in violation of sanctions. So they were certainly within their right. But the oil and the drugs, I think they're both very valid reasons. House Republicans slated to vote on a health care bill today that does not extend Obamacare subsidies. Reports are now saying that moderate Republicans are upset that a vote to extend subsidies didn't come up. The subsidies are set to expire end of year. How does this issue of the subsidies impact the people of of North Carolina and America? Frankly, when you talk with people all across North Carolina, this is a huge issue. This really comes down to that affordability crisis that's happening now. They talk about this Affordability Care act, the Affordable Care act, and why it's not sustainable. But you have to do a better job of messaging and tell people why. So America has the largest GDP on planet Earth. The subsidies for the ACA act alone are 7% of our entire GDP. The Congressional Budget Office, when they re evaluated that they were predicting a rise to 8.3% of our GDP. That's a 14% increase. That's not sustainable. The only way you can sustain that is a massive rise in taxes. I'm not okay with that. No one in North Carolina is okay with that or across the country. So this is really important and my message to Congress right now. We have the House, we have the Senate. Do your job. I know it's hard work, but let's fix this now. We have one more year. Fix it now. Do your job. Doc, since you're running for Attorney General there in North Carolina, I'd like to get your thoughts on the or the potential deployment of National Guard troops in cities like Charlotte in particular, which of course has had two pretty heinous attacks on the public transportation system there and has had some serious issues. Where do you stand on that issue? And if you'll also give us kind of the top issues for you in your race for Lieutenant governor. I'm sorry, not AG for Lt. Governor there in North Carolina. I apologize. No, thank you. That's perfect because those fall right in line. Our mission is to bring purpose driven leadership back to North Carolina. And it's very simple. We have three S's, Security, safety and service. And when you talk about that security, economic security is number one. That affordability, people don't forget that just a few short years ago under that Biden administration, our inflation was near double digits. You know, the President Trump has made some amazing strides there. The last consumer price index and inflation were well below that 3% mark. But we have a lot of work to do. And when you talk about safety, that's what you're talking about, safety. When you talk about those National Guard deployments and getting involved there for me, the number one thing is family. If you can't protect your own children and your own family, then you have failed miserably. When you see these soft on crime policies here in North Carolina, everyone has seen Arena Zarutska, you know, the Friday night the young woman coming home from work at the pizza joint murdered on camera. That was horrific. So that falls in line with some of those National Guard deployments and that safety and then service the best resource we have across North Carolina and America, it's our people. So my leadership ethos be the weight behind the spears, the title of my award winning book as well. We're trying to get people to engage their communities. That's our best resource. Teachers, coaches, volunteers and families. I want people to get out there and know that what they do matters every day. So coach, volunteer in your churches or your schools. If we do that, those three S's are going to continue to make North Carolina the number one state in the country for business and the best place to raise a family. Dr. Josh McConkey, thanks for being here and good luck with the race. Thank you very much. Thanks so much. All right, coming up, did you know the holiday season also heart attack season? Medical professionals urge people to recognize warning signs like chest pain, shortness of breath and dizziness and to call 91 immediately if they occur to lower risks. They say, you know, I hate to use the words, but moderation of overindulgences might be a good start. Staying active, managing stress, keeping up with medications. You know, I think the important thing, you know, get time outside vitamin D, get time out in the sun. I feel like 10bazint and Dbro kind of go in the same sentence, you know. It's just so hip and cool. Yeah, just like you. Oh yeah, just like me. More like a bad hip. But thank you, Dr. G. All right. Now to a Hollywood tragedy. Oh gosh, that's a tough transition. My bad for making a joke. Huge headlines. 32 year old Nick Reiner has been charged with two counts of first degree murder in the brutal stabbing deaths of his parents, legendary director of course Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle Singer Reiner in their LA home. Authorities say he was arrested without incident, that is the son, and being held without bail. Nick Reiner could also appear in court today. Joining us now is psychiatrist Dr. Carol Lieberman. Dr. Lieberman, you thank, thanks for being here. Look, this is. Well, to say it's horrific is probably an understatement. We know the son had been battling drugs for years. So break this down for us from a psychological standpoint, what are some of your thoughts here when you saw this? Good morning. Yes, good morning. Well, of course this is an incredible tragedy and the elements of it are not that unusual in terms of other Hollywood families. What we have here, first of all, the, the main target was his father was Rob Reiner. And that's called patricide. And it started with people, family, friends have talked about how he was out of control since he was a little boy for as long as they know him. And so what it seems like is that this whole problem started with an unresolved oedipal complex. Now that's Freudian theory. And what that, what that means is during the oedipal or phallic phase, which is when a little boy is three to seven years old. He has this unconscious desire to marry his mother and, and kill his father, kill his rival. The father now, not literally, but that he wants love and attention from his mother and his father is, is the rival, you know, for taking some of that away. Now, when you have a father who is a Hollywood superstar, this, you know, resolving the Oedipal phase, it becomes a lot more difficult. And it was always this competition with, with his father that I think has lasted, you know, the fame of his father. When they went to the party, Conan o' Brien's party that they went to right before he killed his parents, apparently he was asking people, what's your name? What's your last name? And are you famous? He was, he was, in other words, obsessed with this idea of fame, feeling that he couldn't get it for himself and feeling. And certainly he couldn't get the degree of fame that his father had. It's so interesting that finally some of the things are coming out as to. As far as what he said at the party. So there's a whole, you know, on top of that, I think that he was told tough love, that his parents were told to give him tough love, because that's often what happens, especially in Hollywood. And tough love never works. Tough love, where you're supposed to just tell your child, either get to rehab or become homeless, really is what happened with him that never, never works. It's interesting. Doctor, you said finally we're getting some of these details. Actually, we're just like a couple days past this, and we have a lot of details. In fact, I would love to have all of these details about the assassin of Charlie Kirk. I would love to have all these details about the attempted assassin of President Trump that killed Corey, but we don't have any of those details. So it's interesting because this is an active investigation, we can have all the details, but we can't have details from other things. I just find that very interesting. But, doctor, there's a lot of psychology going around here. President Trump made some comments about this, and Hollywood lit up over this, and he doubled down. He's not backing away from them. Explain the interplay of the psychology here where President Trump is concerned. Yes, Well, I think President Trump is, you know, has been getting more and more frustrated with judges getting in the way of things that he wants to do to make America great. So he comes out with these things a little more easily. But, you know, he. So he talked about how Rob Reiner had Trump derangement syndrome, and apparently There is a lot of documentation about that, that he was really over the top, top as far as how much he hated Trump. Now, I've been researching this. When I say, you know, that there isn't much information coming out. I've been researching, trying to find something specific where that was connected to his son. In other words, where his Trump Derangement syndrome interacted with his son. I haven't been able to find that yet. However, I do know from studying Trump derangement syndrome for a year that Trump derangement syndrome causes otherwise rational people to become irrational and causes people in families to turn against each other. So it is certainly very likely that that was one of the factors that caused, was a contributing factor to the murders. Do we know the political leanings of the son, Nick? No, I don't. I haven't been able to find that. I found nothing that says that he was anything contrary to his own dad. So I don't know. But. Dr. Carol Lieberman, it's always interesting to think through the psychology. You can't dispute it. You know, that it plays such a role. If you can understand how the human mind works, you can make a lot of predictions. At least that's what I hoped when I went to psych school. It didn't really work out for me that way. I feel like I just know a lot about what I don't know, more than what I know, if that makes any sense. But doctor, we always appreciate your wisdom. Thanks for being here. Thank you. All right. Senator Chris Murphy has some outlandish ideas for who's to blame for the deadly shooting at Brown University. We have his comments right here. Next on American Sunrise is a fairy tale. Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy, who's blaming the shooting at Brown University on President Trump. Take a look at this. This is not shocking because over the last year, President Trump has been engaged in a dizzying campaign to increase violence in this country. He is restoring gun rights to felons and people who have lost their ability to buy guns. He eliminated the White House Office of Gun Violence Protection, and he has stopped funding mental health grants and community anti gun violence grants that Republicans and Democrats supported in that 2022. So he has been engaged in a pretty deliberate campaign to try to make violence more likely in this country. And I think you're unfortunately going to see the results of that on the streets of America. That's a pretty big statement. He's in a campaign to make violence more likely, of course. I mean, he's knowingly restoring gun rights to dangerous people. He is cutting off grants that has that have bipartisan support to try to interrupt violence in our cities or to try to get get necessary mental health resources to families and children in need. It is God Bless the USA Bible in focus today, the horrific terror attack in Australia at Bondi Beach. Israeli Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accusing Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of encouraging anti Semitism after the deadly attack in Sydney. Netanyahu says Albanese's support for a Palestinian state has helped fuel hatred against Jews. Australia, of course, rejecting the claim, saying that the attack should not be politicized. For some more perspective, let's bring in Rabbi Jason Sobel. Rabbi Sobel is also the author of Transformed by the Messiah. Rabbi Sobel, thanks so much for taking time out to be here with us this morning. Your assessment of what Prime Minister Netanyahu is saying in his criticism. Yeah, I think it's. I think it's really valid. I think the reality is the timing of this attack is spiritually significant. This is really a war on the light. Hanukkah is the festival of lights. Hanukkah is a declaration that the light will not overcome the darkness. But in the days of the Maccabees, when this occurred, they tried to snuff out the light of worship, the light of God's word, the light of witness. And that's why this moment matters. We can't let the light go out. And in Australia, they've allowed this secularism to create a vacuum. And it's an attack on God's people. And I think we need to take a stand and let our light shine and not live in fear. But we need to be courageous and strong both here in America and around the world. Rabbi Sobel, help me work through some of what we just heard, because my interpretation as an American into what Prime Minister Netanyahu is saying is that if one supports the creation of a Palestinian state, that in and of itself is anti Semitic to some degree. Am I understanding that? Okay, am I missing. Thank you. And I want you to clear that up. That's why I'm asking the question. I would completely. Yeah, I would completely disagree with that. I don't think it's a matter of supporting a Palestinian state. I think the Palestinians have aspirations towards sovereignty. I think the issue is when you allow people to gather and say things like, from the river to the sea and globalize. The intifada, you're calling for the death of the Jewish people. It's an attack on Jewish people. So it's one thing to say, hey, like, the civil rights movement, right, was a peaceful movement that was legitimate for the freedom, for freedom. But it's another thing to call for the death of others or a destruction of others. Like the Jewish state, the Jewish people To create your state. That's the issue, the radicalism within it. And unfortunately, this isn't an exclusively Australian thing. It's really become a global thing. We're seeing these sorts of narratives happen around the world. Absolutely. And again, I think it ties spiritually into the season of Hanukkah, because they didn't. Part of the story of Hanukkah is that they defiled worship. They defiled the word. And the word for secular in Hebrew means to hollow out or to make empty, to create a vacuum. It's the same word for sickness. So a secular society becomes a sick society. And this is what we see in Western societies become so secular that it's created a vacuum and it's allowed extreme ideology from the left to align with Islam and really attack the Judeo Christian foundations. That is the concern that I have and that I see going on globally, which is a perfect entree to your book, Transformed by the Messiah. It seems to me that the message in and of itself is that much more relevant, particularly in this day and age. Age, yeah, absolutely. I mean, we need transformation as we come into this holiday season. Even in light of this attack, Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Bethlehem means house of bread. In the Bible, bread and forgiveness are connected. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us of our trespasses. In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus broke the bread. This is my body broken for you. So in this season, even in light of this attack, we still have to not allow our hearts to be hardened. But remember, Jesus was born in the house of bread to bring the bread of forgiveness. And we need to extend that to others in this season, because forgiveness is key to transformation and changing our world. Not hate, but love, grace, and forgiveness. This truly is the season of love. Before I let you go, Rabbi, tell us something. Uplift us Christians, something about Christmas that many Christians probably don't know or don't necessarily fully appreciate. I already appreciate the idea of Jesus being the bread of life. My body is broken. That's something that we typically say in my church. But give us something else, if you don't mind. Give me some more bread. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, one of the beautiful things is that Jesus wasn't born in a wooden manger. He was actually born in a cave. Why? Because he's born in a cave and he's buried in a cave in a tomb. His birth points to his death. And when he's swaddled, I don't believe he was wrapped in ordinary swaddling cloth. I believe he was wrapped in these linen garments that were priestly garments. Why? Because he's wrapped in linen at his entrance into this world. He's wrapped in linen when he's buried and put in the tomb. And he's wrapped in priestly garments because it reminds us that he is the great high priest in the light of the world. And this connects into Hanukkah, because there'd be no Christmas without Hanukkah. They tried to wipe out the light. We need to be the light and light up the world. Rabbi Sobel, thank you so much for joining us. Always a pleasure talking to you. Always. Very uplifting. Wishing you a wonderful Hanukkah season and a wonderful holiday season in general. Happy Hanukkah. Merry Christmas. Shalom. Shalom. Shalom, my friend. Is it shalom? Shabbat? What is shalom? Okay, I'll wait. Shalom. Shabbat. I often hear that term. What does that mean? Shabbat shalom is what you say on the Sabbath Friday night into Saturday. Yeah, Shabbat shalom. Okay. All right. See, look at me. I'm trying to be culturally sensitive but also understand the terms shalom to you. Always good to see you, Rabbi. God bless. God bless you. Back with the second hour of American Sunrise. After this. President Trump orders a total blockade of oil tankers entering and leaving Venture. Venezuela calls the Maduro regime in the country a foreign terrorist organization. Tensions escalating quickly. We will have the latest details as they come. Plus, the GOP's latest health care bill hits the House floor today. This follows tense negotiate negotiations between moderates and Republican leadership over whether or not to include extensions for Obamacare subsidies. We're going to check in with Congressman Mark Harris in just a moment. Also later, the Department of Justice says Democrats in California are withholding critical information regarding redistricting documents. This came just days ahead of a federal court hearing over Prop 50. We're going to have that story for you later in the hour as well. These stories, so much more. The second hour of American Sunrise starts this second week of Advent. And I'm Dr. Tina. Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G in West Palm and T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning to both of you. And President Dr. G gonna be in the Oval Office tonight, 9pm Eastern, big address to the nation. He's elevating this. Clearly, this is to regain the narrative and explain more about the affordability issue in America and what this administration is doing. I think they're trying to seize this right off the top and make sure that it doesn't get away from them. Yeah. Because it almost did. There were a lot of people saying, hey, why is President Trump so focused on all the foreign policy and not as focused on the domestic policy? Because as for my house and me, we're not feeling economically what we thought we'd be feeling in the quote, unquote, golden age. That's what a lot of people were saying out there, David. And so I think this is his attempt, part of it, to institute a plan that it's a PR thing. Right. I mean, he's got a captive audience. You can do it from the White House and you can say what you want to say uninterrupted. And it's a big deal. And the fact that it is elevated to an address from the White House, Terrence, presidents reserved these for special circumstances. Absolutely. It's one of the big headlines of the day. As you mentioned, President Trump scheduled to deliver that address to the nation from the White House at 9 o'clock tonight. We're, of course, continuing to work to see exactly what the president is going to say, but we believe that he will discuss the ongoing situation in Venezuela. He'll also talk about affordability. The speech could also have something to do with retaliation on Syria for the killings of two Americans soldiers there over the weekend. It's all happening just hours after the commander in chief and the first lady will receive the bodies of those killed soldiers at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware this afternoon. President Trump's White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles, raising eyebrows this morning following a series of interviews with Vanity Fair. The author of the article says that Wiles describes the president as having an alcohol personality and an eye for vengeance against perceived enemies. The article also quotes Wiles as saying that Attorney General Pam Bondi, quote, completely whiffed her early handling of the Epstein files. Wiles is pushing back against the reporting, though, calling it a, quote, disingenuously framed hit piece on me and the finest president, White House staff and cabinet in history. Funerals for the 15 victims who were killed during this week's mass shooting at Sydney, Australia's Bondi beach are beginning today. Meantime, the surviving accused shooter is now charged with 59 offenses, including murder and terrorism. The attack targeted a Jewish celebration on Sunday with police saying that a father son duo were the trigger men. The 50 year old father was shot and killed by Police. The 24 year old old son was also shot, but has now come out of a coma. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast with Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony. Tracy, good morning to you. Time for one of my favorite parts of the show, our Weather Nation hometown forecast. Where are we going? Where are we headed today for these forecasts? Hey, we're going to start out in the Pacific Northwest and want to start off with a destructive severe thunderstorm warning because this is what I was talking about about the high winds. We have those high wind warnings for over 30 million people. And with that destructive tag, it basically means that there's likely property damage and winds over 80 miles per hour. And those winds are going to stretch up and down the inner mountain west. So that brings me to our first hometown forecast. I'm taking you out to Orena, Idaho. I hope I pronounced that correctly. But you're going to be dealing with the rain with the wind throughout the day today. So be very careful out there, especially high profile vehicles. And we're going to continue to have temperatures just slowly starting to roller coaster a little bit. So not too many temperature changes here for you in the Pacific Northwest where we're really going to feel the big cool down and is areas like Grand Forks, North Dakota. This coming in from Stacy on Getter, 36 degrees throughout the day today, but we're dropping down to 12. And look at those overnight temperatures dropping to 16 below. That's the temperature. The wind chill will be even colder. We're talking 20, 25, even 30 below as we round out the work week in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Sulphur Rock, Arkansas, 58 degrees today for your temperature, 61 throughout the day. Tomorrow. We'll cool down just a little bit on Friday, but moderating into the weekend. And next week it's going to be a great weekend to do some Christmas shopping across the area. If you're down south, you're going to have some nice weather. But the Pacific Northwest, very active blizzard warnings, high wind warnings, flood warnings. So a lot of weather impacts still impacting this region of the country. Terrence? Oh, wow. Prayers going up to the folks in that region of the country. Tracy, always good to talk to you. Appreciate it. We'll talk tomorrow. Yeah. Yep. All right. Let's get you over to David Brody now. David, good morning to you, my friend. Good morning, T. Bates. All right. Last night, President Trump ordered a total blockade of oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela. That's the big news this morning. In a truth social post, the president called Nicolas Maduro's regime a foreign terrorist organization and he accused it of stealing US Assets to finance terrorism and trafficking. Well, here to discuss more is North Carolina Congressman Mark Harris back with us on the show. We always appreciate you, Congressman, for coming on. You got a busy week for sure on healthcare and all that. We'll get to that in a second. So about 18 tankers are under US sanctions and they're fully loaded with oil and they're currently within Venezuelan water. So this is a bold move. I'm curious to get your reaction to what the president's doing here. Good morning to you. Well, good morning to all of you. It's great to be with you this morning. Yes. I think again, this is just a picture of the president fulfilling what he has committed to do, and that is to stop the work that Venezuela has been doing and getting these drugs, drugs into the United States. I mean, he is taking the war to them. And I think that's one thing that I'm hearing more and more in conversations here on Capitol Hill, that we're grateful that for all of the talk that we've been giving about the war on drugs that have been a failure here in the, in the United States, we have recognized that Venezuela is cooperating with these cartels. And if you're going to be able to stop the cartels, you've got to be able to cut it off there at its base. So I just think this is yet another step of pressure that the president is putting on Venezuela. And I think it's an important, important step. And I think that there is continues to be growing support because folks are recognizing this is something that needs to happen domestically. Congressman, you and your colleagues are set to vote on another health care bill today. This is coming as Obamacare. Obamacare, excuse me, Subsidies set to expire at the end of the year. Speaker Johnson has said that there will be no amendments to extend those subsidies. So where do you stand on the bill you and your colleagues will vote on today? And why or why not, will you or will you not support it? Well, I'm in favor of it, Terrence, and I will be voting for it later today because I do think that it is a step in the right direction. Listen, we, we've looked at every angle we could possibly look at here, but the reality is what the reality is Obamacare was a failure. It has been a failure. It should have never been called the Affordable Care act because it's been the Affordable Care Act, Unaffordable Care act from its very beginning. And the American people have been feeling that pain. What we're going to be doing and taking steps this week, today, in fact, in this bill is once again empowering Americans to have more control in their health care. It's got to be reminded to people that only 7% of our population actually is a part of Obamacare. That's 7%. And so I think what you're going to eventually see is us empowering Americans through association groups that are going to be opened up for folks to be able to purchase health care. There's going to be these choice opportunities where employers can, can maybe fund their employees to be able to go out and empower them to seek out the best health care they can do. And ultimately, through the cost Sharing reductions. I'm told that the, the studies are showing that we will see a rate reduction of around 11% after this bill is passed later today. So I, I do think that we're moving in the right direction in trying to make things more affordable and again, empowering Americans to have more control. We have just seen Obamacare feed money to the insurance companies and it's been a disaster. And you know the old saying that there's nothing more assuring than a government check, and the insurance companies have been counting on getting those government checks paid directly to them, and they have allowed rates to just go through the roof. And so I think we're moving in the right direction, moving away from funding the insurance companies. And let's empower the patients and the doctors to manage your health care. Congressman, some news from the White House Chief of staff, Susie Wiles, under hot water for making a handful of rather unflattering statements about President Trump and his second term agenda. In interviews with Vanity Fair and some others, Wiles reportedly said the president has an alcoholic's personality and said the president ignored her advice on things like deportation and pardons whiles now says her statements were taken out of context. Just wanted to get your take on this. Yeah, I mean, listen, if you, anybody that's been dealing with the media in, in this country, and I'm one of them, that has through the years dealt with the media as well, understands what a hit piece looks like. And I think she's exactly right. This was a hit piece that was able to take a conversation, pull things out of context, state them in various ways. And I, I just think that, you know, it's very clear what happened here that Vanity Fair did to the chief of staff. Susie Wilds has the confidence of the president. She has the confidence of this Cabinet. She has a confidence of, of people I know here in Congress that think she's doing a phenomenal job. And, and I think that really and truly it was sad that the media would go to this extent to try to bring down this president in any way or create division. That's what this is all about. If they can create division within the White House, then somehow they're just going to create chaos. And I'm thankful that everybody has stepped up, has been supportive of the chief of staff. And, and again, probably a lesson learned in doing an interview with Vanity Fair. Yeah, lesson learned, exactly. Vanity Fair, taking things out of context. Who would have thunk? All right, Congressman Mark Harris, thanks for being here. Appreciate you. Thanks, guys. Thank you for having me coming up a shocking new report out of Washington, D.C. police commanders say crime numbers may have actually been manipulated from the top down. Washington, D.C. police are facing serious accusations after congressional testimony from their own commanders revealed a toxic culture inside the Metropolitan Police Department. A new interim report from the House Oversight Committee claims NPD leadership prioritized making crime look lower, not actually making the city safer. District commanders testified that Police Chief Pamela Smith created an environment of fear, intimidation and retaliation, pressuring officers to downgrade or suppress crime reports in order to produce rosier statistics. The allegations come after D.C. announced a 30 year low in violent crime. Numbers now being called into question. We want to know what you, our viewers, think about this. Let's take a look at pre market trading. So far so good. Look at this top to bottom, it's all green all the way you go. I wish my morning to me commute to work was like this. I seem to run into red all the time. The Dow, S P 500 and the NASDAQ all looking good. The rest of the board also looking very positive at the moment. Again we'll take you to New York for the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange here in about eight minutes now stay tuned for that. First though, let's get you over to David Brody. David, I know it's all green lights for you going from the bedroom into your home studio. Correct. I don't know why of all places in your home I chose the bedroom. My bad bro. But you get the point. You get the point I'm trying to make. I get the point though. I guess we just invoked my bedroom on that national tv which is. Yeah, why not? Okay. All right, thanks. Yeah, I'm thinking about that. Oh, sorry. Okay, we have to get back to this. Now it's time for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. And that means it's time with to bring in American Sunrise early edition host and the guy Behind Jake's take Substack, Jake Novak. Jake. All right, so the market's mostly down. Yesterday though, it was a different story for Tesla. Explain. Yeah, Tesla, a new all time high. Let's talk about how you should never bet against Elon Musk. Remember back in April, he was breaking up with President Trump. People were setting Teslas on fire all over the world. Everyone couldn't wait to get out of that stock. Well, if you stayed in Tesla or have invested again in Tesla at that moment in early April, your stock is up 129%. Not too shabby for eight months work, right? Pretty good. The reason is that EVs, while, you know, I'm not a big fan of them, they're not going away. I think that they again will reach about 10% of the market worldwide. 10% in the United States. They're not there yet, but I think that's about as high as it's going to get. Well, investors realize Tesla still has the most experience and probably still has the best EV products overall out there. There are some individual models that might be better, but as a company, they get it when it comes to that part of the market and it's a good investment and that's a nice return on your money for eight months. I wish I could get 129% back on 1,000 bucks I may have put down eight months ago. That's a pretty good deal. Elon Musk, this just in. And he's a pretty smart guy. Yeah, yeah, and a pretty rich guy too. So on EVs, I know, I know you're going to break out in hives or something when we talk about EVs, but I am curious a little bit about the fluctuation between administrations. In other words, right now EVs not in vogue, if you will, with the Trump administration. But then you get the AOC type people coming back in, maybe in the administration, then EVs are back in style, then you go back and forth. I mean, is that what we're in for with EVs or how is this going to look? Is it going to depend administration to administration? Well, I have a better idea. Hire an accountant. Before you hire lobbyists, hire an accountant, take a look at what the situation is. Someone who will tell you, yeah, for one or two years you might make money just that year, not overall in your investment if you follow some Woke administration on EVs, but in the long run, you're going to lose, lose. So just resist. You know, they whatever they're going to do to you, they probably won't be able to punish you as much as offer some kind of incentive that's going to go away. It's kind of like a drug. They get you on the comeback. And Ford fell for it. I mean, they just fell for it. They went all in on it. They announced a $20 billion loss over this the other day. Again, hire an accountant to tell you that those incentives are fleeting. Not even if the administration's change. Stick with what works and you'll be the slow and steady wins the race. All right, so it used to be like, I'm on LSD. Now it's like I'm on EVs. Basically, it's like that. All right, Jake, two days ago you told us to follow the big health insurance stocks and then we would be able to get an idea about what might happen with Obamacare subsidies. So what are they telling us this morning? Well, they're telling you they're in trouble. You know, a couple days ago, it looked like the stock investors thought that, yeah, they'll probably squeeze something through. But after Speaker Mike Johnson made that announcement yesterday that there's not going to be any more votes on extending the subsidies, those stocks went down like a rock. Now, not the end of the world. UnitedHealthcare and Elevant, which is the old anthem, they went down 2%. That's a bad day for a health insurer for one day, but nothing terrible. Human, on the other hand, went down 6% yesterday. They are really expecting at least a disruption in their gravy train. That money goes right to the insurance companies. And I have to tell you, while President Trump has talked about it a little bit, it, I think that he really needs to make more of that case. Like, we're not going to give these greedy corporations the money directly. It's going to go to you directly. I know he's made that point, but I would hit it home harder because you literally have people like AOC just now or just yesterday talking about how, oh, this is really bad. She's literally shilling for the corporations she supposedly hates. This is a good message for the Trump administration. They need to push this and take advantage of the fact that these stocks are going down right now and say, hey, look, look, we're hurting these guys who have gouged the public for years. Yeah, there's a lot more I want to talk about regarding that, but we'll have to save that for another day because I want to talk to you about how you think there's another formula we can Follow when it comes to President Trump's policies that affect the economy. And so, and that includes the news about Venezuela. So I'm curious what you mean by that. You know, President Trump is really unique in that he really looks at what the market, markets might do when it comes to some of his policies. You know, he announced the tariffs in April when the markets had hit all time highs and now we're back to all time highs. But he knew that that was a time when, when the economy could take it. Same thing with these oil prices. Notice that he announces this blockade on the same day that we hit a four year low in crude oil prices. Meaning that even if the markets went up 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5% on this news, it would be a hit that we could take. At the gas pump, by the way, they only went up 1%. We're still well below $60 a barrel on light sweet crude right now. You're not going to see prices going up your gas station today or tomorrow over this. So I think the timing is important. It's important to understand where the economy is before he makes some of these policy decisions. I like that he's looking at all these things, all these moving parts. All right, so you think that if the oil price of oil was higher that maybe he rethinks the timing of it? Yeah, I think that if we were still at 70, 80, $90 a barrel like we were for example, two years ago, I don't think we would have done this at this time because it just would have been too much pain for the American consumer to absorb with everything else going on but oil at a four year low and you know, Venezuelan oil might only rise at 1%. Like that's a pretty good time where there'll be less pain overall for everyone. I'm curious to get your take before we leave. Got about 20 seconds or so with the President's speech tonight. What do you think is going to, what is he going to say? He's going to talk about affordability and I think the markets could react, react to this one way or the other. Yeah, I mean, I think he's going to basically make it clear that he's focused on it. You know, people may not like his solutions, but this is not George H.W. bush looking at his watch instead of paying attention to a question about the economy like he did in the 1992 debates. I think it's important that he's going to basically say, look, I think he's going to come close, not completely close to saying, I feel your pain on this. And believe me, we're working on it. He hasn't done that quite yet, and I think he will now. Yeah, I mean, this will be Trump's version of I feel your pain the way only Trump can do it. I always say that. You know, Trump and Reagan both played the media like a fiddle. You know, Reagan used a butter knife and Trump uses a chainsaw. But thank you, sir. I appreciate you as always. All right, let's get to T. Bates. The opening bell is sponsored by amac. The association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can write the course of America. All right, the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange set to ring here momentarily. It's been an up and day, an up and down, excuse me, day in terms of pre market trading. Just about seven minutes ago, everything was green and you just saw lots of red on the board. Anderson is at the podium, which means the opening bell is going to ring here momentarily. And then we'll get an idea of where the market stand as we start this Wednesday of trading. And right on cue, there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The markets are now officially open. As you hear the opening bell ringing there. And just that quickly, things changed a little bit. Dow, S P 500 and the NASDAQ are back in the green. Really only one negative spot on our board at the moment. So things can change that quickly, which means you probably should strap in because it very well may be an up and down day on the markets. We'll of course continue to monitor it here at Real America's Voice throughout the day. Meantime, there are lots of politicians out there who probably should be getting some coal in their stocking for Christmas. But the Birch Gold Group thinks that as a smart planner, you deserve silver. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. Chi. Thanks for joining us this morning. We invite you to join in our conversation on YouTube. Getter and Rumble. It is time now to take the political pulse of America. Here's the beat. Today, the Justice Department is accusing Democrats of playing politics with California's congressional maps and doing it along racial lines. Hmm. In federal court this week, DOJ lawyers say the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee withheld key documents and dumped thousands of files at the last minute, just days before a major hearing over Prop 50. Prosecutors claim the records show Democrat consultants prioritized race while redrawing districts ahead of the 2026 midterms, a move the DOJ says amounts to unconstitutional racial gerrymandering. Democrats deny any wrongdoing, calling the case politically motivated. But the fallout could have national implications as redistricting fights heat up across the country. Joining us now with analysis, USMC intelligence analyst, the Veo of Vetcom US and author of the book book the Race to Save America, Kate Monroe. Good morning, Kate. Good morning, Kate. How does Prop 50 prioritize race when it comes to redistricting? Well, I think we almost didn't even need to redistrict. There was so much racial divide here in California. We left our border entirely open and then shoved all of these migrants into different spots all over the state, just like we did all over the country. It was totally unnecessary. But it's not a wonder that they took race into account. See, people think that California, California is so clean and there's no race, anything going on here, but it's actually the opposite. They weaponize it here in California, and I think it's a sad state of affairs. And the Democrats want to say that we're weaponizing what they did against them. Well, you're weaponizing California against the whole of the entire country and then wonder why other states are going to follow suit on the right. So you get what you get when you act so nasty. Absolutely, Kate. There's lots of news coming out of your home state there. California Governor Gavin Newsom, of course, has hired two former senior officials as public health consultants. One of them is Susan Monarz. She, of course, was fired as the CDC's director after less than a month in that post. The other resigned over disputes about changes at the cdc. Some Republicans in the Golden State, they're saying that this is simply an example of Governor Newsom prioritizing his national political ambitions rather than the welfare of the people of California. Where do you stand on this issue? Well, if you went to my social media, it'd be pretty clear where I stand, especially on Newsom. Sadly, it's become just a Newsom roast every single day. Only this man would go pick up someone else's trash and then try to gold plate it and utilize it here in our state. I mean, literally every single thing that we do in California is a Bad decision. We had a massive surplus of money. Now we have a deficit. I mean, we have homeless drugs, lawlessness. We don't treat veterans well. We had an open border, people running drugs right onto the shores. We had the Palisades fire. I mean, it's just on and on and on and on. This is just another. And he's trying to be like a little P President. Instead of just focusing on fixing California, which is almost its own country, he would rather trash and turn a dumpster fire of the whole of the U.S. you reminded me, Kate. I sat next to this guy at the airport last night and he was talking about California and how great it was and that he used to live on the East Coast. He didn't know how I could live here. I said, well, it's the politics. I think California is the most beautiful state in the country, no question. But I couldn't live there anymore because of the horrible politics and told him some of my stories and whatever. He goes, well, you know what I do? I just watch sports and I don't pay attention to the politics. And I said, well, that must be nice for you. I hope when the country's gone that you can live with yourself for what you've done to your children. Anyway, Kate, that's certainly not your story. You fight every single day. We want to get your reaction to this headline from Politico. It says, california Dems confront a star power vacuum and a big math problem, referring to the extremely crowded Democrat field in the race to succeed outgoing Governor Newsom and that none of them have the same star power he did. What are your thoughts on this? Do Democrats have a star power problem in the Golden State? I mean, I thought the Golden State was the Hollywood state. Right, right. Well, yeah, it's a Hollywood estate, but there's such a thin veneer veneer over Hollywood anyway. I don't know who you could even pick from Hollywood that would have enough star power to overcome what Newsom has done. I mean, whoever it is is going to have to be able to go clean up his mess. And if you look at the characters that are running, they might be the most unlikable people in. In the whole of the country. I don't know where they found these curmudgeony rock people. I mean, Katie is just the absolute worst, most nasty woman, period. I can't believe she's still in the race just in Swalwell. Like every single person is just the absolute worst of what they have to offer. Sadly, AOC would do better running in California. She's absolutely an abhorrent individual, but highly entertaining. These people are just horrible. What did you call them? Rock creatures. What was. Yes, it's a shame. That horrible, nasty rock creature. Yeah, it's a shame Brody's not here because he can come up with all the dad comments on that. That was good. Oh, your one liners today have been classic gold plated trash. I love that. Yeah, that was a good one. I'm going to remember that one, too. Yeah, don't wake up early. Yeah, you wake me up early, you're going to get all kind of stuff. Well, we love it here. It's definitely been amusing for us. Before we let you go, Kate, want to talk about this. President Trump, of course, will address the nation tonight. He's going to lay out likely his affordability agenda. All of this coming as many Americans are still struggling with an economy that's recovering from the Biden era. What do you think the president can do to really bring cost of living down for many Americans? And more importantly and more immediately, what is it that you want to hear from the president tonight that would be reassuring from the president? Twofold. I want to hear sort of bring us up to speed of everything that you have done to this point to make it more affordable because not everything is still unaffordable. I mean, you were just talking about gas in your previous segment. I think the cost of many other things are down. So I think he's on his way. So I think he needs to talk about, hey, here's, here's where we are and here's where we're going. And I think it's pretty clear to see where he's going. He's trying to get control of. If, if what everybody says in Venezuela is true and we're trying to get control of their oil, then our gas prices are going to go down further. I think if we can show how the economy is, is doing and that would warrant us giving some rate incentives, especially the homeowners, you know, change the rates. I think that would be amazing. I think that there's a lot of good news that he did and I think he needs to paper that better because the media at large is going to have to cover this. So he gets to say everything that they never really cover. Right. The every American watching, no matter what side you're on, gets to hear from him, like sort of simulcasted in a way. And I love that for him. Kate Monroe, thank you so much for being with us. We're going to remember a lot of these one liners from this today. Thanks a lot. Absolutely. Thank you. Let's get the show off to David Brody. I know he's got a dad joke. I know it. I know he's got a dad joke for us. It's a lot of pressure. I've got nothing. No, I've got nothing. I mean, am I that bad? I'm that guy, though. I am that guy. I have nothing. You know what? Let me get to chatgpt. Give me a second. You let me look. What do I got now? I got nothing. All right? I gotta move on. I'm moving on. All right, folks. You know, I get up very early every morning to bring you this show. Love the show. Did I just call it this show? Yeah, this show. It's a great show. And trust me, by the way, when I don't sleep, it's a problem. Ask my family. But I'm not alone. So many of us wake up tired. We drag throughout the day. We've got that micro tired, you know, where your brain's a half step behind, your body's heavy, you need coffee just to keep up. It's like America's almost given up on the idea of a good night's sleep. So I want to bring in Mark Werner. He is with Ghostbed.com and Mark comes from a long line of American entrepreneurs. His family has been building high quality American made products for more than 100 years. I mean, my goodness, that goes back to when Joe Biden was just a toddler. Mark, good morning to you, sir. We appreciate you being here. Tell us the story of ghostbed.com. i mean, how did this all begin? It's fascinating. Thank you. And thank you for having me on. Well, as you said, I come from a family business my grandfather started over 100 years ago. He was lieutenant colonel in World War I and 2 and trying to feed his 11 brothers and sisters. His mission statement was making dinner money. And he started the Werner company. And a couple years later, my dad, who's an engineer, he invented the first aluminum ladder and the first fiberglass ladder. And that started the Werner ladder business, which 100 years later becomes 85% market share in the largest ladder company in the world. I grew up in that factory. I learned about quality and reputation and doing the right thing. And my grandfather always said, profits follow quality. Just do the right thing and over time, rewards will be there. So we sold the business 27 years ago, and that was a little bit of a shock. And then I started because I love family business. I started family business with my wife and my kids about 25 years ago, originally in Chicago, relocated to South Florida where it's nice and warm. And we started Ghostbed and we focused on mattresses, memory foam mattresses, pillows and toppers. I've had three neck surgeries, so I could never find a pillow or mattress or anything that worked for me. So because I was my dad's lab assistant when he was inventing fiberglass, I was so familiar with polymers and structural polymers and comfort polymers that I just designed my own line, talked my wife into it, which took a little bit. And then Ghostbed's born. We now been at it for 25 years. We sell direct to consumer. We sell in U.S. canada, UK, expanded to Mexico, Puerto Rico and other countries. And we sell big box. And we basically have a quality product at a lower price. So you have your Tempur Pedics out there that are 4 to 15,000, we're 700 to 2,500, and you're basically getting the same kind of product. So it's all about quality and value, and that's kind of our thing. And that's how Ghostbed was born. That's fantastic. We have about a minute left. Clear this up for me. There's so many mattresses out there, Honestly, I can't tell what's a good mattress or what's marketing. I mean, they try to sell me, oh, this is the best mattress since sliced bread. What makes a mattress better? We've got about 60 seconds and also I want to make sure people know where to go to get these mattresses. Go ahead. It's all about support and comfort and marketing. There's great marketing guys with all the buzzwords out there. I'm not a buzzword guy, I'm a product guy. And that's what we focus on. Mattress has to keep your spine aligned through the night and last a long time. You buy mattresses, say on the Amazon platform for 2 to 500, you think you're getting a deal, you're not getting a deal, you're getting garbage. And it's going to be that rock thing that the other lady was talking about that's going to be tossed in a short amount of time. But you want a quality mattress with quality materials. And that's what we're all about. 25 year warranties. And we have cooling technologies, we have lots of patents. I've invented lots and lots of things. And that goes into our product. So you're getting just a very high quality product at an affordable price. We lean into adjustable bases and split kings which are great for your health and for all age groups. And it's been a fantastic product category and a real growth category. I would suggest everyone look into that. That's great. And where can people go to buy this and get more information? Where do they go online and other places? Go to ghostbed.com and then backslash RAV and with the RV, you get an extra 10% discount coupon. Right now we've got some great promos running. So very, very good prices for everyone. Fantastic. Always looking for a deal for sure. Mark, winner. Thanks so much for being here. Quality deal. What's that? Quality deal. Quality deal. Correct. Did I bury the lead quality in all big font 84 font. Thanks again, Mark. Appreciate your time. Bye now. All right, once again, that's ghostbed.com rav then the promo code is RAV and you get the 10%. All right. Coming up, new developments on Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's claim about her son being pulled over by ice. There's a glaring problem with her story. Oh, boy. Details when we come back. Season two of Unrivaled Basketball is here and the talent is unreal. Paige Beckers, Nafiza Collier, Kelsey Plumb, Brianna Stewart and more are back to redefine the game. Yesterday we reported on the Minnesota Democrats claim that ICE agents pulled over her son, an act that she was quick to blame on racism. But there's just one problem. There's no evidence to back it up. In a post on X, the Department of Homeland Security said ICE has absolutely zero record of its officers or agents pulling over Congresswoman Omar's son. With no evidence, it is shameful that Congresswoman Omar would level accusations to demonize ICE as part of a PR stunt. Allegations that ICE engages in racial profiling are disgusting, reckless, and categorically false. What makes someone a target for immigration enforcement is if they are illegally in the U.S. not their skin color, race or ethnicity. Under the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. constitution, DHS law enforcement uses reasonable suspicion to make arrests. We want to know what you think. Let us know on Rumble or Getter. We took it up to him at Mar a Lago. He goes, I'll put my voice on it. Our supporters made this go platinum. Real America's voice is telling the real story of January 6th like you've never seen it before. Everybody, this must be peaceful. This is not the story you were shown. I take responsibility. It's time now for our sun side up and in the pan today. A U.S. navy veteran who once lived under bridges and slept in abandoned cars is now raising his daughter in his home. And this is thanks to a tiny home and a second chance. When Tim lost custody of his two year old daughter, Majesty, he was sober, working on his recovery and doing everything right. Except he didn't have a permanent address. Can't have custody if you don't have a permanent address. So within days of moving into, Tim was able to meet court requirements, regain his full custody and start building a future for his family. Today he's a licensed drug counselor, helping others, a committed father and a mentor, using his past to help others find their way forward. Great story about second chances. I love that. Oh, I love this story. Love rehabilitation stories. Colby's mad because it's not a dog story, but I think it's a great story. Colby's just gonna have to sit on the other end of the couch today. Every story tell Colby, every story we do in Sunnyside is a dog story. So slow his roll. And I'm sure they're in the market for a dog for Christmas. They may be getting a dog. They might be, but, you know, one Theta. They are going to have a great Christmas. And I love that bright, shiny American flag hanging there. And I always wanted a tiny. Do you guys want a tiny house? I always wanted a tiny house. Do. I'm always sending. You know, you get the Instagram, you know, and I always get all the tiny houses, and I'm always sending them to my husband. Let's put one of these. And my husband's like, for what? I don't know. I want a man cave or something. Efficient. They're efficient. Everything is efficiently placed in tiny home. I'm all for it. I don't need a McMansion. Just give me everything that's nice and. And keep it really efficient so I don't have to climb too many stairs. I am all for the tiny home, personally. Hey, Dr. G. If I can just butt in here because I've been waiting for your return, Dr. G. Now, I missed you so much last year. Last week, I promised that I was going to share Bates holiday traditions with you. And so today, I want to share one Bates holiday tradition. But this isn't just for you. It's also for Dave Brown, our executive producer. I know you are a traditional traditionalist, so here's a bit of a take on a traditional Christmas song. Silver and gold, ladies and gentlemen, please. This is really slow. Just gonna say it. Yeah, you've already lost me. Yeah, I'm asleep. Isn't that beautiful? Beautiful. So here. We still have a minute. Okay, so turn the music down, guys. Go ahead and talk over Dr. Gina. Go ahead, go ahead. Over the week. Over the week. So I lost my dog on Friday. I had to put him down. I needed a couple days. This was a hard loss. My second one in two months. I left town, went on a ski day over in Utah. Every single time they would play horrendous Christmas music, I would get this mix of feelings. Like, usually it would just anger me when I'd hear stupid Christmas music that isn't Christmas music. You know what I mean? But now. Now I get this kind of warm, fuzzy feeling like, oh, Terrence would probably love this horrible music, so it's kind of sweet. That is hilarious. You have been the topic of conversation between Tamir and I. Like, we've literally come up with a playlist of Christmas music just for you, Dr. Christmas Music. To annoy Gina. I can see it on the Spotify list. So Tamira likes this stuff too? Oh, absolutely. These are standards in the Bates household. They are? Yes. Oh, we're out of it. We're out of Showtime. Darn. Well, see, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling because it makes sense to you. I love you back, you guys. Merry Christmas everybody. The tone throughout is fast-paced, conversational, direct, and unapologetically conservative. There is a clear “us vs. them” dynamic with regard to legacy media and Democratic politicians. Commentary is often laced with humor, informal banter, and pointed personal stories. Experts, correspondents, and guest analysts are woven in for varied insight, but the hosts consistently anchor the show in themes of American values, faith, and pragmatic action.
If you missed this episode, you missed a vivid snapshot of the current conservative perspective on major U.S. and global events: a White House loudly reasserting its narrative on foreign danger and economic struggle; partisan media clashes; deep divides over medical and social issues; state-level political and legal conflicts; and ongoing concern for American tradition, faith, and resilience. The panel’s critique is sharp, the information dense, and the tone irrepressibly patriotic.
