And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning, Everybody. I am Dr. G. We are live with you this Christmas week from the Palm Beaches and happy to be sharing it with you. Let's bring in David Brody. He's from Washington, D.C. he's not from.
B
Washington, D.C. thanks a lot.
A
Coming to us from Washington. It's one of those weeks, you guys, Christmas party glory. My daughter hosted Terrence. Hello. He's there from Denver, too. My daughter hosted her first Christmas party last night. And let's just say that was hard on mom. But it was beautiful. It was a beautiful party. And yeah, my whole family was there except one of us. And yeah, it was nice.
B
Okay. So I'm sorry, I've got a pry. What was difficult on mom? Was it that your baby is now independent and doing it on her own?
A
Oh, jeez.
B
Is that the tough part?
A
Please. No, no, no, no.
B
It was, she said, oh, geez.
A
No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm glad she's married. No, it was just, you know, kids have never done anything. You know what I mean? Like, she's like, but I have to call this person and I have to do that. And can you help with this? And can you go to the storage unit and get that? And it was just like the whole entire day and night was, yeah. You know, and their kids and they're a little, I mean, I hope I'm not trashing my own children on tv, but a little entitled now and then. And mom and dad are supposed to kind of still do everything except that most of the time they don't want us doing it. You know what I mean? It's just that whole jockeying for like, you know, but it was a beautiful party. She did a fantastic job. Her husband did a fantastic job. It was a beautiful party. And I have no complaints But I'm really, really tired, Terrence. Oh, and by the way, I figured out St. Louis Pizza. I mean, not St. Louis Pizza, New York pizza. Sorry, New York pizza. I'm trying to pay you a compliment, David Brody. You could listen.
B
Okay.
A
I figured out if you reheat a New York pizza last night, if you reheat it on the grill, it's really good. And I know this because I caught my toaster oven on fire, so I can't use it.
B
All right, so we're getting secondhand pizza. New York pizza. Compliments. I'll take it. Look, I'll take it.
A
New battleships.
B
Thank you very much.
A
T. Bates, New battleships.
B
Yes.
A
Yeah. Trump went into one of those old battleships. He was like, there is no gold leafing on this ship. We need new ones. That's how that happened, right?
B
T. No, that's kind of how actually, I envisioned it. I did watch the announcement yesterday, but I kind of envisioned it. So, as Dr. Gina was saying, President Trump is out with these new class of battleships. Initially, two of them are going to be built long term, though the President says the goal is to build between 20 and 25. He describes them as the most powerful battleships out there. He also plans to make sure that they're built here in the United States. In case you missed it, here's part of the announcement. As commander in chief, it's my great honor to announce that I have approved a plan for the Navy to begin the construction of two brand new, very large, largest we've ever built battleships. You know, you used to build the Iowa, the Missouri, the Wisconsin, the Alabama, many others. We had big battleships. These are bigger, but they will have 100 times the. They'll be 100 times the force, the power. And there's never been anything like these ships. These have been under design consideration for a long time, and it started with me in my first term. David, your take on all of this, obviously, it's a big announcement. It's catching the headlines. Good thing for national security. Are you. Do you have any concerns? Are you all in? All in. You know, go ahead. Try to sink my battleship. Go ahead. Right at you. Look, USS Defiant, B6. B6. That's right. Look, here's the thing. USS Defiant, right? That's the name of it. It's perfect. Perfect for the Trump class of battleship. Right. Defiant, challenging, you know, fighting courage. I tell you, resisting that sums up President Trump. And it makes sense why it's called the USS Defiant, which is interesting because normally they're named after states, but this one is not so kudos. I look forward to it. What's that?
A
A state of being defiant?
B
Yes, Yes, a state of being. You sunk my battleship. This battleship won't be sunkina.
A
But don't you think this is Terrance, this is a message to China?
B
Oh, absolutely. I think it's a message to the rest of the world. Yeah, I think it's a message to the rest of the world that the United States is back in full force, particularly militarily. And in this particular case, yes, I guess the focus is our maritime strength, building ships and that kind of thing. But look, most of the world is water, right? And so what a better way to make sure that you're on top of it than to have this huge fleet? I fully agree, Dr. Gina. Absolutely. I think that's the point that you were getting at, Dr. Dean. I just kind of. But no, absolutely. I think this is a huge message that's being sent globally. All right, we'll talk more about this throughout the day. Dr. Gina, would you give us our Bible verse though, please?
A
Psalm 95, 6, 7. Oh, come let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you will, hear his voice. All right. And we all love to hear his voice, especially around Christmas time. And somebody else who's doing some talking is President Trump, as we said, made a major announcement for the creation of new Navy ships and also had this to say about the efforts against Venezuela. Take a look.
B
He can do whatever he wants. I mean, we have a massive armada formed, the biggest we've ever had and by far the biggest we've ever had in South America. He could do whatever he wants. It's all right. Whatever he wants to do. If he wants to do something. If he plays tough, it will be the last time he's ever able to play tough. But they sent their prisoners into us. They sent people from jails, prisons, they sent people from mental institutions and insane asylums into the United States. Just walked right in because Biden had an open border policy.
A
For more, let's bring in Rav Chief White House correspondent Brian Glynn. Brian, this is not really surprising. For very many people, it was an announcement. Were you at all surprised?
B
I was a little surprised because some of the speculation, by the way, good morning, everybody. I was a little surprised because some of the speculation building up to this press conference was that we were going to announce that we were going to launch some type of official war or some type of battle against somebody. So I had to basically confirm that we were not announcing that we're going to war days before Christmas. But this does not surprise me because I have a friend and a colleague that was in the previous administration back in 2016. He told me that President Trump was very aware of the aesthetics of these battleships. And did they look aggressive, were they efficient, were they big enough, were they strong enough? Do they have the capability to take on our enemy? And if these will be made out of steel, not aluminum, these will have also laser technology on these ships to be able to take out just about anybody. Plus, along with these ships, they're going to have about. It'll take two years to get the initial rollout on these new golden age type ships, but we will have also about 20 of them when it's all said and done. I think it's a great thing. I know anybody that's a part of the Navy really appreciates his commitment to making sure our military is the strongest in the world. No doubt about it. And, you know, I'm thinking about Greenland and the Arctic Ocean up there and who knows in terms of what happens in the South China Sea, Brian. So there's a lot at play here. Let me move on to this. Just the news headline. Tom Massie and Ro Khanna preparing to bring inherent contempt as opposed to just contempt. Inherent contempt against Bobby over Epstein files. Both claim the release last week did not meet the mandates from the Epstein files Transparency Act. And then President Trump said this yesterday at the press conference when he announced about the Navy ships or, excuse me, the battleships. He said he didn't like that Bill Clinton photos were released. Okay, well, here it is. I like Bill Clinton. I've always gotten along with Bill Clinton. I've been nice to him. He's been nice to me. We've always gotten along, respect him. I hate to see photos come out of him. But this is what the Democrats, mostly Democrats and a couple of bad Republicans are asking for. So they're giving their photos of me, too. Everybody was friendly with this guy. No, I don't like the pictures of Bill Clinton being shown. I don't like the pictures of other people being shown. I think it's a terrible thing. I think Bill Clinton's a big boy. He can handle it. But you probably have pictures being exposed of other people that innocently met Jeffrey Epstein years ago, many years ago, and they're, you know, highly respected bankers and lawyers. I don't really have anything to say. I've. I have no More words. Brian, I'm with you on this. And let me tell you, I don't care that Bill Clinton is mentioning these photos. If you remember, a couple days ago, I don't know if you noticed that Chris Tucker, the actor Chris Tucker, was also featured in a few photos. And he came out and said, look, once I found out who this guy was and what he was associated with, I basically stepped away and said, I want nothing to do with it. I've got nothing to hide. So if your picture appears in some of these Epstein files and just come clear and just say, hey, this is why I was at this photo. This is why I was at this event. That's why I took a picture with them. So if you got nothing to hide, you have nothing to hide. But they are filing these new documents that could potentially lock up those that obstruct the full release of these files. So as this continues to develop, I mean, we all saw what the reaction was on social media, all of the memes, all of the posts that basically laughed at this complete, you know, incomplete release of these documents. But we'll see what happens here in the next couple of days. But this story certainly is not going away. And I think all of our viewers do not care if Bill Clinton or any other elected politician or celebrity are pictured in any of these files. But they've got some explaining to do, and I think that's. I think rightfully they need to do that.
A
Well, it depends what the pictures are, too, right? I mean, it depends what they are, because if it's just pictures of people with people, we've all been pulled into a selfie that we wish we hadn't. Right. That's a different point. But it depends what the pictures are and it depends what the documents are, if any more are released. So, yeah, I mean, it is something that's, I think, gonna plague us for a little while longer. Brian, Glenn, we always appreciate you being with us.
B
Thank you. Thank you. Merry Christmas, bro.
A
Merry Christmas.

This news break is brought to you by AMAC association of Mature American Citizens. That's the White House. President Trump at the Southern White House, if you will, down at Mar a Lago this week, actually all the way through early January, and then he'll be back once the holidays are over. But of course, it's never a holiday for President Trump he's always working. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. I'm David Brody. A lot more coming up on the show. But first, T. Bates standing by with the latest headlines from the real America's Voice newsroom. Sponsored by amac. The association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can right the course of America. We've been talking about it all morning. President Trump out with plans for a new class of US Battleships which marks a naval buildup. The commander in chief says the so called Trump class of battleships will be larger, faster and quote, 100 times more powerful than any previously built American warships. 47 even going as far as to say that he'll be personally involved in the design of some of these new ships. I want to be very clear that, that we're building them here. We're working with others, but we're building them here. We have great Navy yards. We'll be negotiating with some of the companies that are running those yards, taking over the yards. We used to build a ship a day during World War II. Now we don't do ships very much anymore. The president says initially the project will start with the construction of two ships which will begin immediately. The goal is to build between 20 and 25 of the Trump class warships, though. And speaking of maritime dominance, President Trump says the US Will keep the crude oil and tankers that were seized near Venezuela. They were netted during the ongoing U.S. blockade in that region. We're also hearing that the administration is pursuing a third tanker right now after having already stopped two of them. The move is a way for the Trump administration to put pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to step down. Plus, it's an attempt to rein in Venezuelan oil exports, more than half of which goes to China and the bulk of which allegedly benefits terror groups and narco terror activities. Amid his efforts to grow the US Navy and rein in Venezuela's Maduro regime and drugs coming out of that country, President Trump also continues continuing to push to make Greenland part of the United States. The latest step to try and make that happen involved the president appointing Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry a special envoy to Greenland. We need Greenland for national security. And if you take a look at Greenland, you look up and down the coast, you have Russian and Chinese ships all over the place. We need it for national security. We have to have it. And he wanted to lead the so we're making him Marco today a special envoy to Greenland. Greenland's a Big deal. Earlier this year, you may remember, the administration sent delegations to visit the Arctic island, which is currently a self governing Danish territory. Denmark's prime minister criticizing the move to convert the island though, saying, quote, you cannot annex another country, not even with an argument about international security. He goes on to say, Greenland belongs to the green lenders and the US shall not take over Greenland. We'll see. That's a quick check of your headlines. We'll, of course, have more headlines coming your way in just a little bit. But first, let's get a quick check of your holiday travel forecast. Weather Nation's Adrian Hernandez hanging out at the airport in West Palm Beach. Adrian, good morning, my friend. Good morning, Terrence. And you know, we've been seeing an increase of foot traffic just over the last hour. I want to say just about an hour ago, things are looking a whole lot more empty. But now that the sun has risen, people making their way out here, a lot of people are already starting to make their holiday travel plans. Right at this moment, we're expecting just over 8 million people to be traveling. This 2025 holiday season is roughly 2% higher than what it was just last year. And across the country, we're already seeing a few spots picking up maybe some slight airport delays. We had some ice on the runways out east in places like Philadelphia International Airport, Greater Rochester International Airport, Minneapolis, St. Paul, where some of these runways are getting de ice as of late. We even have some delays further out west across California. It's like John Wayne, places like John Wayne International Airport out in Orange county seeing some delays and potentially some closures. We got a lot of rain anticipated out west, especially in places like California. Some of the these models are picking up anywhere from 2 to 3, some spots 4 to 5 inches potentially of rainfall going into the end of this holiday season. And the main issue is not only the amount of rain we're going to be expecting, but the recent burn scarred areas. A lot of these spots can't be picking up or the, the moisture, the soil and, and the terrain can't be picking up all that moisture. So Terence, some of these places near places like the Palisades fire, the Eaton fires, going to be in for a rough going going into Christmas. So course our hearts are going to go out to those guys going into this holiday season. Absolutely. Adrian Hernandez reporting from the airport there in West Palm Beach. Adrian, we'll check back with you next hour. All right. Be safe and do not board a flight. We still need you for one more hour. No worries. I have no intentions. Thank you, Terrence. All right, thanks so much, Adrian. Up next, the US versus Venezuela. The Trump administration continues to escalating tension against the Maduro regime. What's the end game, though? We'll break that down for you. First, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date in 1968 that astronauts Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, and William Anderson became the first people to orbit the moon aboard Apollo 8. It was a giant step to our eventual landing on the moon just months later in 1969. We, of course, have more American Sunrise in just a moment.

It's a house you don't reside in anymore. It's a house you also probably don't recognize. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. All right, I'm David Brody. President Trump made a major announcement Monday alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth as well. As we mentioned at the top of the show, it was all about creating new battleships for the Navy. Take a look. In World War II, the United States built upwards of four ships per day. Can you believe it? Four ships a day on average. And it's now, they weren't all big warships, but there were ships, freighters, tankers. And it's a tragedy that we allowed this incredible capability just go astray. We don't do that much anymore. We do build our warships, but that's about it. But that's a lot. We're going to restore America as a major shipbuilding power. We're going to ensure the USA is the most powerful fleet anywhere in the world and long into the future with battleships helping lead the way and the submarines that again, nobody competes with us on submarines, so. All right, for more, let's bring in retired Navy SEAL Officer Mike Sorelli. Mike, thanks for being on the show. Definitely curious to get your thoughts on this. For sure. Leave it to President Trump to say this would be the best, the biggest ever. And I've looked at the specs, and it does look extremely impressive. Well, I think people are gonna hate the fact that he's calling it the Golden Fleet and that the first ships out of this are what we're calling the Trump class battleships. Guys, keep in mind, battleships were decommissioned in 1991. They are. They are massive. They are a psychological weapon that if you put them on the coast, they're basically telling people we can destroy Whatever we want and you can't do anything about it. It's, it's, it's high time that they return. But this ultimately is a strategic message. He's saying, we are back in the ship building business. China has built 115 ships in the last decade to our 24. When we talk about American peace through strength, there is no better projection of power than the US Navy. It can be everywhere. And so this is vitally important, not only for maintaining Peace, but guys, 80% of all goods are shipped by way of the sea. So they secure our supply chain economically, from energy, oil and gas, to goods, everyday goods for our American citizens. So this is a very strategic message. And the Navy has degraded over the last few years. It's time that we start building ships again.
A
Yeah. Somebody was telling me there's some very wealthy military contractors out there whose job it was to maintain these very old, very archaic ships. And President Trump went on board one of them and looked around and said, this is not acceptable for the United States of America and our fleet. And that was the impetus to this. At least that's what I've been told. You know, this is the same sort of stuff we're seeing in a lot of areas of government, Mike. Right. This isn't the only place where President Trump has uncovered buildings that were old and falling apart, that were paying tons of money for just to have, that could have been sold. Right. There are lots of scenarios like this. So what will this mean overall, you know, as in terms of our ability? I mean, it's got to be more than just posturing, right? What will this mean in terms of our capabilities militarily?
B
Yeah. Gina, you bring up a great point. When we think of government, we don't think of excellence. Mediocrity has completely and utterly set in one place. We can't have it is our military. Our military has to be the personification of excellence in everything that we do, from the appearance to the ships to the actual capabilities. But if you look at it, and I reference, China has built 115 ships to our 24 in the last decade. They have built a number of holes, but our technology in the capability of our ships far outclasses theirs. But at the end of the day, you know, within the military volume matters, the amount of troops you put forward, the amount of ships you put forward, it allows us to have a presence on all seas, in our ability to respond to either crisis or humanitarian issues in a rapid manner, while also securing the maritime sea lanes to ensure that no nonsense like The Houthis that were attacking the Red Sea can hold up our energy supply. So that is the strategic message that he's sending and the fact that we've outsourced our shipbuilding for a number of years. You never outsource something of strategic importance like this. All right, so I'm going to follow up on that very last point you made there. Outsourcing shipbuilding. President Trump saying, no, these new ships are going to be built here in the US which obviously is also an economic benefit because it gets more American workers into American shipyards to get these first two ships done. And like no other president that we've seen, he's bringing jobs back to the United States. He's bringing the middle class back. That's been the whole point of his presidency and his focus on tariffs in leveling the playing field, as well as commitments from foreign companies to stand up manufacturing plants within the United States. You know, when it comes to our military and the capability, the technology, we cannot rely on foreign forces. That is why we have amazing companies like Palantir and Anduril that are leading the way in technology so that we have a competitive advantage against any near peer military competitor. Exactly. Like China. Yeah. Mike Sorelli, great to have you here as always. Really appreciate your time, sir. Thank you. Thanks, guys. Thanks, Mike.
A
Thanks, Mike.

Breaking news from Real America's Voice. We are back with breaking news. The Justice Department has just released tens of thousands of additional Epstein files. This new batch has videos in it, also other material, some of them with redactions. The Department of Justice says that some of the documents do include claims about President Trump. However, the DOJ says those claims are untrue. We, of course, will have more on this breaking news as updates come in. We're also trying to peruse some of the documents and let you know what they say. In the meantime, let's get you over to Dr. Gina.
A
Thanks so much, Terrence. It is time now for today's health news sponsored by the wellness company under the Microscope. Today, the impact flu season is already having flu cases surging across the United States as a super flu continues to spread, they're calling it. Health officials say almost 3 million Americans have gotten sick this season. And CDC maps show high flu activity in states like Colorado, Louisiana, New Jersey and New York. Other regions reporting very high levels while other states are reporting lower rates. So be diligent, practice good hygiene, make sure you get plenty of sunlight, make sure you take all your supplements and make sure you have your wellness kit already. For more on this flu season in the current surgeon we are seeing across the country want to bring in the chief of pediatric medicine for the wellness company, Dr. Alejandro Diaz. Dr. You know, we don't get as upset about flu seasons as we used to before COVID because miraculously, during COVID there was no flu. How did that happen?
B
It was incredible. Thank you, Dr. Gina, for having me on. I always say that. So what happened with the flu during the COVID It went to Cancun for vacation. That's exactly. You know, and so all of a sudden, all doctors and my colleagues worldwide, they were just diagnosing, covet, but no influence anymore. Now it's, it's back. And it's back very, very big. And we are having this uprise all over the nation with the H3N2, specifically the K sub variant. And it's hitting hard with, you know, body aches, muscle aches, headaches, fever, cough, throat ache. And there's a lot of people right now and unfortunately, some deaths all over the in different parts of the nation.
A
But Dr. Diaz, you know, there have been three times this year where I could tell my body was going, okay, let's go ahead and get the flu. And I did all the things that the wellness company instructs. I'm not trying to sound like a commercial here. I do do those sometimes. But this is not that. This is me being 100% genuine. And I did the high dose vitamin C, the zinc and the rest of the things, the vitamin D, spent some time in the sun. I think that's really important. The Other thing I do is I drink lemon water strictly for 24 hours. And every single time, doctor, I didn't get the flu. I mean, I don't know, there really are ways to when you feel it coming, if you catch it early, to kind of ward it off at the pass. Right.
B
You said it right, Dr. Gina. And that's exactly me. That's, that's what I did in my family, my wife and kids and many of my patients, because many of them, they listen. And that's exactly right. You know, well, hydration, exercise, sunlight, your supplementation, it's extremely important. And you know, the power of positive thinking, it's also very important.
A
That's such a great point. That's such a great point. And I think some people overlook that. Just not letting yourself be defeated, just going, you know what, I'm going to kick this and I'm not going to sit down for this and I'm not going to get it. And that's not to say that you're never going to get the flu. But I am saying three times this year, I could tell that I tried and I didn't end up getting it. Why do so many in the medical establishment continue to recommend a flu vaccine, doctor, that even in its best years is ineffective?
B
That you're absolutely right, Dr. Gina. You know, I've been a physician for over 34 years and I never ever recommended the flu vaccine. I took it once only as an experiment. It was terrible. It was horrible. And the fact of the matter that many of my colleagues still recommend the flu shot, it's because, unfortunately, Dr. Gina, we have been indoctrinated in medical school and we think that those compounds and those injections, they work. But unfortunately we have seen that they're not effective nor safe.
A
Well, I'll tell you what is effective and safe, and I use this all the time, is the nasal spray and the spray throat spray. And the reason these are effective, and I'm not a medical doctor, you are, but the reason I understand as a consumer that these are effective is because they literally can catch the viruses where they enter your body. Right?
B
That's exactly right. The combination of the nasal and throat sprays are, will boost your immune system with an amazing compounding of natural products, botanical products like scientor erythrol and so many other quercetin and so on many other that will boost your immune system. It will prevent you, the patient, for having and catching the flu. And if you start having, will help you a great deal.
A
Many doctors, when a virus is coming Again, these old school, Rockefeller style, right doctors, they will just prescribe antibiotics immediately. But antibiotics, antibiotics are overused, which is part of the reason why they've become much less effective. But also they don't prevent viruses.
B
That is absolutely right. That, you know, antibiotics are very prescribed for specific infections. But when it comes to viruses like the one in the flu, like H3 and 2 in this season, they don't work at all. Definitely.
A
Yeah, the first secondary infections. That's why these wellness company medical kits are so, so, so important. I'm stockpiling them. All the directions are in them. I love that about them. So I don't have to think a lot. Like I've just got my own little pharmacy sitting right there. Dr. Alejandro Diaz, we appreciate you so much and all of you and everything you're doing there at the Wellness Company. Thank you so much.
B
Thank you so much. Merry Christmas.
A
Merry Christmas. All right, let me flag something important as we move into this winter. Doctors have warned, as we mentioned, this year's flu season is going to be a rough one. But now even mainstream media outlets, oh, imagine that. Are starting to report that a new, more virulent and severe flu strain is spreading fast here in the U.S. the kicker though, the already ineffective flu vaccine is even less effective this year against this new strain. The media won't tell you though, is that Dr. Peter Mercola warned about this weeks ago. He's been clear. This strain is more severe and unlikely to respond to the flu vaccine. Which means personal preparation. It's everything, you guys. That's why I trust the wellness company's two step approach. Step one, prevention through immune defense. Nasal and throat sprays. I use these. I love them. These are used daily to help support your body's first line of defense during flu season, right where your viruses enter. Step two, early treatment through the contagion emergency kit. Physician prescribed antiviral options including a nebulizer, hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. So this way treatment can start early if you do get sick and you're not stuck in long lines or shelling out big dollars at urgent care over the holidays. Who wants to take do that? This isn't fear, you guys, this is common sense. So get prepared. TWC Health/RAV. Use your promo code RAV. Save 10%. TWC Health/RAV puts you out in front of this flu season with the wellness company's immune defense sprays and contagion emergency kit. Use the promo code rav. Don't forget that. Save you the big bucks. All right. Still to come on American Sunrise is the first family values toting fast food chain Chick Fil A going woke. I feel like I've read this somewhere before. Welcome back to American Sunrise. We appreciate you being here with us. As always, it is now time to stay awake, not woke. And today we are discussing Chick Fil A. Some conservatives are accusing the Chick Fil A or accusing Chick Fil? A, excuse me, of going woke. After a Utah franchise praised a same sex couple on social media, corporate leadership backed that post, saying the company welcomes all people and supports diversity. The response has triggered some backlash from customers who previously supported the brand for its Christian roots. Let's bring in Dr. Gina and David to discuss this a little bit more. David, let's start with you. Your thoughts here. The thing that comes to my mind not to kind of taint your thoughts, but love the sinner, hate the sin. That's what initially comes to my mind. But I'd like to get your thoughts on all of that.
A
This?
B
Yeah, I mean that's overall obviously a very good principle. I don't really know where to start. Why are you laughing? I'm sorry, did I mess that up? That's what came to my mind.
A
No, you didn't.
B
I deferred to the gentle lady in West Palm.
A
No, wait. You can't pass that buck. You comment, David Brody.
B
Fine, Okay. I was trying to pass the buck. No, I wasn't. Look, here's the thing. Oh, gosh, where do I begin? Am I gonna get in trouble? Probably so. Yeah, probably. Look, let me just go to the facts, okay? Here in front of me is the Chick Fil A's, what they call the non harassment policy. And they're saying this, and these are the bud words. Chick Fil a is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity, equity and inclusion.
A
Brother.
B
Yeah, there it is. Dei. And they go on to say, obviously we do not discriminate against and you know, citizenship, physical, mental disability, all that. And then they go into sexual orientation as well. Now, here's the thing. Look, of course we should not be.
A
Discriminating.
B
Discriminating. Thank you. I couldn't get the word discriminate against people that have a different sexual orientation. But to codify it, so to speak, in your mission statement, this has been the.
A
It's discriminating.
B
Exactly. This is the big battle, right? And this is what folks like the Family Research Council, many others that are trying to deal with this in Congress have been working on for decades. And they lost the fight because sexual orientation is codified in many of the congressional laws. And that's been the big battle. Once you codify it into law, you got a problem as it relates to. You'll never be able to take it out. Cuz is sexual orientation the same as being black or white or. Or, you know, that type of thing? So. So anyhow, I'm getting into a lot of other stuff. I'm done. I really rambled, but I think you got the point.
A
See how much he had to say, Terrence, do you see why I was laughing at him when he tried to toss that. What he had to say?
B
You know me too well.
A
Gosh, I love hosting a show with you too. I do. I mean, I just have to tell you, it is. It is worth getting up for every day just to. Just to get a little. A little taste of that. David and Terrence every single day, just cutting it up here on tv. Chick Fil A. All right, So I think I've read this headline before and I think it's been going on for years that they've been woking, if that's a thing. I used to know the CEO pretty well. He was actually a really good friend of my best friend from high school. I don't know if he still is there. We used to think about opening some franchises and things. I'm kind of glad we didn't, to be honest, because I kind of feel like. I kind of feel like parallel economy guys, like, I don't know, like Chick Fil A. The magic isn't there for me anymore. Now the customer service that they demand of their employees, I think every company should demand. I love pulling up. I love being treated. Can we get. Can we get airline? I'm gonna say the word stewardesses just cause I know it makes everybody mad. Can we get them to go through the same training that the Chick Fil a people go through? Can we talk about that kind of. That level of customer service? And I love me some Sean Duffy. I just posted pictures of us together yesterday, actually on my Instagram. Love Sean Duffy. But what I said to him was, listen, it is not about me dressing better to get on an air flight, on an airplane. It is about them treating people like they are customers. Let's bring back customer service and good food. Airline food is terrible. If you're going to pay for business class, my gosh, you should have better food. And otherwise, you should have more than a cookie and some stale crackers or whatever it is they give us. So those are my thoughts about Chick Fil A. But let me say this. There are a lot of restaurants out there, Terrence, who have really raised the bar on the chicken sandwich. And I love when you get that crispy little clink that it does. Do you know what I mean? With the pickle and the chicken and.
B
The little crisp, the crunch that you get from a chicken sandwich is what she's talking about.
A
And there are other restaurants that doing that now. So Chick Fil a has lost its food magic. It still has the customer service magic. But let me tell you this. The more woke they get, the more I believe that customer service magic will tank while others are catching on. I've seen it. There are other businesses now that are hiring people that have that same go give theory. And you know where that comes from, by the way. That's inspired from our beautiful savior. That's where that comes from. It's biblically based. And if they lose that, they lose their magic.
B
The clink.
A
The clink.
B
The clank. Exactly. The clank. Clank is really good with Polynesian sauce. But that's a whole nother hour of conversation there. All right, guys, a good conversation there. Appreciate it. Coming up. The holidays for some aren't just the most cheerful and happy times of year, unfortunately. But how can Faith show people the light? We'll take a look next here on American Sunrise. All right, welcome back to American Sunrise. It is now time for our moment of faith brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible in focus today, lighting up the world with our faith. For some, I think this is so important to state While we are all caught up in joy of the season, the holiday season is not the most cheerful of time for those dealing with the loss of a friend or family member, those who are alone. How can the faith community bring people together who might be suffering this time of year? For more, let's bring in the senior pastor of the 180 church, Lorenzo Sewell. Pastor, what is your message to those people who might be hurting this holiday season?
B
Well, Jesus, he is the only one that promises to be with us. He'll never leave us. He'll never forsake us. I know what it means to have a father in prison right now. I know what it means to have loved ones that are lost and you haven't seen and you're disenfranchised and you haven't spoken to them in a long time. I want to encourage everyone out there in America. I'm going to encourage you to call on the name of the Lord because he sees your pain. He sees your hurt. The Bible says he's been touched with the feelings of our infirmities. He knows exactly what you're going through and he can give you peace right now that surpasses all understanding. He realizes that you're hurting, he realizes you're bruised, he realizes you're broken. And he comes into that. The Bible says that he is close to those who have a contrite heart and a broken spirit. Allow this Christmas to invite Christ in so he can heal you of your pain.
A
I read something fascinating. It said a couple different things I've read have really struck me this Christmas season. One was that you'll only have a couple of Christmases if you are blessed enough to have any where your family of origin is alive and your children. And you get those multi generation Christmases that we all kind of dream about and fantasize about, but they flee away fast because eventually you lose your parents, your grandparents. And so it is so incumbent upon us to really enjoy and be thankful for who we do have around. But the other thing I read that was interesting, my producers and I were doing a little research yesterday in preparation for this block and they said that actually November, December are the lowest suicide rates. I found that interesting. I figured it would be higher. Why is that?
B
Well, because when we're thankful for family members, when we're thankful for friends, when we're thankful for Jesus coming in this season, that allows our attitude of gratitude to promote our altitude where we can go to another level as it pertains being emotionally healthy, being spiritually healthy. And the Bible says that God wishes above all things that we prosper and be in good health even as our soul prospers. In this season, God is prospering us as we think about Jesus being the reason for the season.
A
Yeah, I think I could be in a great mood all the time if I just got to look at that beautiful pink jacket every single day. I love that. But it really is such a special time of year where we are reminded of the joy in Jesus. How do we feel? Find our friends and neighbors who are hurting, especially veterans this time of year who might be dealing with PTSD or other losses.
B
We need to reach out to them. We just reached out to homeless veterans. We actually go and we feed the homeless veterans. We go into our community, we set up chefs right outside because we know a lot of homeless veterans. They're living in abandoned houses, abandoned cars, they're living up under bridges in our metro Detroit area. We would strongly recommend that you call that friend. God put somebody on your heart. Maybe it's someone that you haven't talked to in decades. Call that person and say I'm thankful for you and God is able to give his grace.
A
You are so right. Listen to that still small voice because sometimes it does whisper. That happened to me yesterday and I called somebody I hadn't talked to in probably a year. Thank you so much Lorenzo. We appreciate it. God bless you with just the fullest joy of Christ this season.
B
Thank you so much. God bless.
A
God bless. Back with the second hour of American Sunrise. Two minutes. Stick around.

Politics. President Trump is joining us live now from Florida. We've got you covered. This is what looks like to be a patriot. We have to protect the American family.

The American dream is still alive.
B
I'm David Brody. I'm terrence.
A
And I'm Dr. Gina.
B
Welcome back everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G in West Palm. T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning to both of you. I see some breaking news here. The U.S. gDP growth surging 4.3%. The number is just out. It's the best in two years. It was supposed to come in in quarter three at 3.8%. It has surpassed that. CNN even going with a headline saying wow, it's expanded to 4.3% once again. Better than expected. Much better than expected. So we'll see what happens. Dr. G. But here we go. Good economic news and should come as no surprise to those of us who believe in President Trump's policies.

Yeah. I think the thing is the American people, they want to feel it. The numbers are all great, good point. But they want to feel it and until the American people are feeling it. And I think gas prices are major, energy prices are major. When their bills start coming down and when they can take a vacation and those kinds of things feel better on their wallet, I think we'll see a big see change in the way people are perceiving the economy. T such a great.
B
Yeah, no, I think that's right. Unfortunately, perception isn't always reality and reality doesn't necessarily impact perception. And I think that's kind of where we are right now. The reality of where the, where the economy is is a very good reality. But people, as you said, just aren't feeling it. And so it's not real to them at this point. Hopefully all of that changes in short order. Maybe by the end of quarter one. Definitely by the end of quarter, quarter two as we've talked a lot about. Guys, let's get to a couple of quick headlines here. President Trump out with plans for a new class of US Battleship. It marks a major naval buildup. The commander in chief says the so called Trump class of battleships will be larger, faster and quote, 100 times more powerful than any previously built American warships. President Trump in the meantime, says the US Will keep the crude oil and tankers that were seized near Venezuela. They were netted during the ongoing U.S. blockade in that region. We're also hearing that the administration is pursuing a third tanker after having already stopped two of them. The move is a way for the Trump administration to put pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his administration to step down. President Trump also continuing to push to make Greenland part of the the United States. The latest step involved the president appointing Louis Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry as special envoy to Greenland. Denmark's prime minister is criticizing the move though, to convert the island, saying, quote, you can't annex another country, not even with an argument about international security. That's a quick check of your headlines. We'll, of course have more headlines coming your way here in just a little bit. But now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Adrian Hernandez hanging out at Palm Beach International Airport, kind of blending travel and weather for us this morning. Adrian, good morning. Good morning, Terrence. And yeah, it's all connected. When we talk about holiday travel plans, you know, you want to know what's going on across the country. At the very least, we are expecting a very big turnout. I feel like every time I turn around, 10 or 15 more people just kind of show up and get ready, ready to make their holiday travel plan. Specifically about 8 million just over 8 million Americans this year traveling all across the country and worldwide, it's up about 2% from just last year. And across the country we're already experiencing a few spots a little bit further out east, places like Minneapolis, St. Paul International, Philadelphia International, even out to the greater Rochester International Airport experiencing a little bit of ice on the Runway. So you might find some delays there. But the main issue will actually be be out west in places like California. We're expecting lots and lots of rain across this region. We have a high risk for excessive rainfall going into Christmas Eve and still a lot of rain across the west on Christmas Day. So we're likely to see some delays across those areas. You've already seen a few starting in the last several hours and again, likely to get some more. The big issue is not only just the amount of rain we're expecting, but in these burn scarred areas, places like the Palisade fires, the Eden fire, this soil just doesn't have the capabilities to absorb any moisture at the time being. So there is going to be a pretty big deal going on across the West, Terrence. So hopefully, you know, our hearts and prayers will go out to those guys. They're going to be dealing with lots and lots of rain going into this holiday season. Absolutely. Adrian, good information there. Enjoy your Christmas, my friend. Always good to see you. Likewise, Terrence. Thank you so much. That's a quick check of your forecast. You can also scan that QR code at the bottom of your screen. Join our friends over at Weather Nation and get your forecast at your fingertips immediately. All right, let's get you over to David now. David, lots of news happening this morning. Yeah, for sure. And more breaking news as we're getting this in this morning. The Justice Department has released tens of thousands more of those Epstein files. This is a new batch released actually late yesterday afternoon. The new batch has videos and other material with redactions. Now, the DOJ said some of the documents include claims of President Trump that it says are untrue. We're going to have more on this breaking news as updates come in. Let's get a reaction from the editor in chief for just the News, John Solomon. John, good morning to you. Let me read you one part of this that's interesting. One of the emails apparently dated January 2020. It's from an unidentified Manhattan federal prosecutor that said that, quote, Mr. Trump was a passenger on Mr. Epstein's plane on eight flights between 1993 and 1996. So there's going to be more dissecting of a lot of this to come. John? Yeah. Not surprising that in the middle of the election, the Most liberal leaning U.S. attorney's office in the country would be looking to surface information on Donald Trump. Why would that be relevant in 2020? It wasn't relevant to the case against Ghislaine Maxwell. Epstein was dead. The only reason those emails would be surface is that people in the deep state were looking for a political issue to try to turn around on the president. Such trips from 1993-96 would have no bearing on the charges against Ghislaine Maxwell. So it does show you how. Sdny, the same agency that didn't want to look at the Ukraine prosecutors, claims that came in in 2019 that Hunter Biden was evading taxes on the money he got from Ukraine. And so U.S. attorney's office in New York has had a long history of going after Trump and then ignoring some pretty significant cases against Democrats. So not surprising that would show up. You saw what the Justice Department said today. Things that come 20 years later in 2020 probably had more to do with the election. And we're meant to be sensationalist. That's the word the Justice Department used. So I think that that's it. I think when this is all said and done, I've said this several times to you, David. I think this story will have boomeranged on Democrats. The Democrats have a much larger exposure in the Epstein files than anything that President Trump and others would have had. John, I'd love to get your perspective. There appears to be a public appetite for transportation, transparency when it comes to these Epstein files. People want to know what's in them, who's behind them, who may have been involved. But given the way the Justice Department has handled all of this, is the public giving it a side eye, if you will? Is the public a bit reticent about whatever information may actually come out? It's too early to tell where the public is. Right. I think, you know, we just released 30,000 pages today, 6,000 yesterday, several tens of thousands of pages before that. I mean, the Justice Department has put out a lot of information. The law required him to put out all information, including uncorroborated information. And I think the public has to digest that and sort fact from fiction. It takes some time. And so we won't know what the public really thinks until all the information is out there. What we do see is there's a lot of photographic evidence of Bill Clinton hanging out with Epstein. So his. His earlier claims that he had a very short and unproductive relationship with Jeffrey Epstein doesn't seem to be accurate, nor does the flight log showing that. So, you know, at the end of the day, people will process this. Epstein's gone. Ghislaine's in prison, Glenn Maxwell's in prison. I think there are much bigger and more important stories on the horizon, like the possibility in a few days that the CIA director, former CIA director John Brennan, may be indicted. That's what his lawyers told the chief judge in Miami yesterday. Those are the sort of stories I think that will fascinate or capture the public's fancy soon in the court system.
A
John, will President Trump pardon Ghislaine Maxwell?
B
Don't know. I don't know the request or the details on it doesn't seem like it, but I just don't know. Don't know. I haven't heard one. I haven't heard any reporting and done any reporting, has suggested that's a real possibility.
A
John. There's a major tax fight looming across the country. At issue is whether the United States will adopt President Trump's federal tax cuts implemented under the one big beautiful bill, which includes cuts for workers who earn tips and overtime. So far, many states haven't actually moved, particularly blue states that claim the cuts will take away funding for things like education. Walk us through this. So far, only one state, which is Michigan, has implemented these new deductions. What's stopping these states from following suit?
B
Well, there are red states that have done it, but among the blue states, you're right, Michigan is the only one that has done it thus far. The reason is that they want to force waiters and waitresses and tip workers to continue to have to keep track of their taxes and make that nuisance so that they don't feel the full benefit of what Donald Trump has done federally. You no longer have to track your tips and report them as income. That's a big thing. But if you still have to do it for the state, you still have some anger. You might have some confusion among tip workers that thinks that Donald Trump didn't deliver on his promise when he did so. These blue states, who often have rhetoric from their governor and their legislators that they care about the working class Americans, don't care about them enough to exempt them from their state obligations on tax, taxes on tips, like President Trump has done federally. And probably the reason is to create some confusion in the system so that Donald Trump doesn't give get credit for the full amount of what he's been doing to fulfill that campaign promise from 2024. Yeah, John Solomon, Great to have you. Ho, ho, ho. Merry Christmas to you.
A
Merry Christmas.
B
Merry Christmas, guys. Good to be with you all. Thanks. All right. I hope you get a FOIA request for Christmas. Thank you, John. The perfect gift. That's right. The gift that keeps on giving, by the way. Coming up, a Black Lives Matter co founder was arrested. The details ahead when American Sunrise continues. Stick around, everybody.

All right, time now to drain the swamp. This morning, we're flushing out Black Lives Matter. So a BLM co founder is facing serious legal trouble down in Alabama. Eric Hall, a failed local politician and co founder of Birmingham's Black Lives Matter chapter, was arrested last week on a domestic violence charge. According to local reports, hall was booked on one count of simple domestic assault involving a family member and was later released on bond. Police have not released details of the alleged incident. The arrest comes as hall has maintained a high profile in the activism world, frequently speaking out against what he calls racist systems and recently signing onto a letter demanding changes to policing in Birmingham. All right, let's bring in Dr. G and T. Bates. Terrence, what do you think here? I mean, I don't know. It's an arrest of a guy that's a BLM thief co founder. I mean, I don't know if you can really kind of put the two and two together. I mean, he was arrested for a charge that's separate from anything that would be BLM related. So I don't. I don't think it matters. David, you. Not that his arrest. No, I get it. I get it. The arrest doesn't seem to have anything to do with the activism. And again, it's simply an arrest. He's a kid accused of something. He hasn't been convicted at this particular point. You know, it is what it is. Dr. Jean, I wish I could give you more perspective, but I think David really wrapped it up in a nutshell of what is there to say? I wish I had more.
A
I'm distracted by. Is this a recent photograph because all these people are wearing masks or video? I mean, I'm amazed with the people who still wear masks. There was a woman sitting in front of me on an airplane this week and she was wearing a mask and it had those huge gaping on the sides. And I'm thinking, what is going through? What does she think she's accomplishing? The mask thing still just fascinates me that anyone ever willingly put. I mean, we all did it because we were forced to comply by an overreaching government. But anyone who voluntarily ever puts a mask on, especially at this point with the education that's out There is just shocking to me. I'm sorry. I was so distracted with that. I don't even know what we're talking. What were we talking about?
B
No, you tend to stand out if you're wearing a mask. Hey, Dr. Gina, really quickly, I want to get back to a point that you were making earlier about talking to Sean Duffy about this whole idea of dressing up on airplanes and kind of changing that. And you think that there should be more of a focus, really, on airport staff and airplane staff. I will say this. When it comes to dressing up on airplanes, and this is something. Something that goes way back, but it's kind of been part of my. My philosophy as it relates to flying. Back in the day, if you may remember, in order to get upgraded to first class, there was that possibility. But you have to look a certain way. You had to kind of dress the part. Otherwise you wouldn't even qualify for a potential upgrade to first class.
A
Should be. I agree.
B
That's how it used to be. Yeah, that's how it used to be. Like, you. You kind of had to look the part. And so when I fly now, and it's been this way for. For decades, I always try to dress up, you know, wear a sport coat, that kind of thing, just in case the opportunity presents itself that I might be upgraded. I want to make sure that my appearance doesn't stop me from getting the upgrade. So for that very reason alone, I try to dress up or at least look the part to potentially sneak into first class. Just my thing.
A
Does it work for you, Terrence? Because I don't know if they do that anymore. I don't think they really.
B
They don't do that anymore. But I'm still living. I'm still. I'm still living in 90. I'm still living in 1995, and hopeful that maybe I'll get upgraded.
A
Yeah, I'm just usually, like, sunglasses, ball cap, head down, hoodie. Like, all I could do to kind of hide because I still have ptsd, to be honest, from when they came on that plane on January 7th and told me I was a terrorist. Right. And so I'm always, like, trying to hide from the. From the. Yeah, I don't know. From the. I don't know. Commies.
B
Big bad Gina Loudon the terrorist. My goodness. All right, coming up, everybody, we're headed down to Wall Street. We've got the opening bill. Bill. The opening bell. And the latest twist in the battle to buy Warner Brothers still going on, by the way, back in a.

It's set to ring here in about six minutes or so, so we'll take you there live. Here's a look at our board pre market trading. You can see some red and some green on the board. We'll of course continue to monitor all of it for for you. There's also some new economic information out talking about the performance of the current economy. So we'll see how that impacts the markets as they open as well. All of that coming your way here in just a little bit. First though, David Brody. Good morning, sir. Good morning. Tbat. Yeah. Let's talk about that economic news this morning. It's time for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. And for that let's bring in Chatwood Investments managing partner Ed Butowski. Ed, thanks for being here this morning. So some good news that dropped about an hour a little less than an hour ago about the economy. It's expanded or it expanded at the fastest pace in years at 4.3%. I think they were thinking 3.8, but it went higher than that. What do you think? Your reaction this morning? Well, that kind of hurts the idea of lowering interest rates to stimulate the economy. So remember, we lower interest rates to stimulate things. And if the economy is growing at 4.3%, you know, lowering it could actually create a really huge growth spurt, which we don't want. We want growth to be around 2.5 to 3% for GDP. And at 4.3%, that's very, very high. So you have to question if we're going to see lower interest rates or not. Okay, so you're going to have to go back to 101 on this. For me, explain. A lot of people say, wow, it beat expectations, 4.3%. Rah, rah, rah. You're saying this is bad news? Well, it's not bad news, but it, but it's cautionary news in terms of interest rates being dropped the next time that the Fed meets. Because when you, you drop interest rates to stimulate the economy. And if the economy is growing at 4.3%, you don't need to drop interest rates anymore. We don't need to be growing at 6 or 7% because that will inflame inflation and that'll be a big problem. So you want, you know, the goal of the government is to have the economy grow at around 2 and a half to 3% steadily every single quarter. Okay, that makes sense. So let's move on. Now, this hardcore bidding war for Warner Brothers, it got kicked up another notch yesterday. So talk a little bit about that because this thing's been going on for a while. Yeah, it really has been. And it's really a battle between Netflix and Paramount. And Paramount has come out with a 9% higher all cash offer for Warner Brothers. Netflix has come out and said that they're not going to go any higher than $27.50. And the big question is, anytime you come out and say you're not going to go any higher, that really means you're going to go higher. So there's going to be a bidding war for this company, and I don't know where it's going to end. But you did have Larry Ellison, which is really kind of odd, have to come out and personally guarantee his son's bid for Warner Brothers, which, you know, sort of. Sort of. It was kind of a strange thing to have happen in business to have your daddy come to support you. But in this case, David Ellison is the head of Paramount and he's made the offer. So we'll see what happens. But this is a classic bidding war, and I expect it to end within a month. All right, we got about a minute left. Trump, the president has stopped all developing offshore wind projects. You want to comment on that from a business perspective and what that might look like? What should we take away from that? Yeah, well, he does not like alternative energy and he certainly doesn't like wind turbines. And now he had to. A judge rejected their ability to negate any kind of off, you know, wind turbines off of the coast. So he's come out and said it's a national security issue. I don't Know how he gets it to be a national security issue. But he'll pull it nothing short. He'll pull nothing short to get his way. And so I believe that that's why he's come out and said it's a national security issue. Ed Batowski, great to have you on. And by the way, on these windmills. Yeah, I also know he says, well, they don't look nice. I don't like them. They look bad. All right, Ed, thanks for being here. Appreciate it. Thanks, David. All right, time for the opening bell. Sponsored by amac, the association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can right the course of America. The markets are set to open here in short order and we'll get an idea of how things are looking. The applause is underway there on the podium, which means the bell will ring here in short order. And then we'll get some scurrying on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange as those first trades go in. You saw pre market trading numbers just a little while ago. There will be a change here once the market's officially open and we'll get an idea of how they're looking. That would be the Dow, the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ. Also things like gold, silver and oil. We'll find out how that's looking as well. All right, ladies and gentlemen, there you have it. The markets are now officially open. And just like that, it looks like the Dow and the S P500 are in the red at the moment. Ah, well, there you go, just that quickly. The NASDAQ now is also down. The bottom half of our screen though, is all in the green. So it might be a mixed bag of trading today. We'll of course continue to monitor it for you though, throughout the day. And here's something else to keep in mind. Gold is up around 40% this year. I'm not talking speculation here. I'm giving you the reality of it all. If a portion of your savings isn't diversified into gold, well, you're really missing the boat. Here are the facts. All right. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us this morning. We invite you to hop in our conversation on YouTube, getter and rumble. It's time now to take the political pulse of America. Here's the beat today. The 2028 presidential race is already taking shape in some ways, and if grassroots conservatives are any indication, could run straight through the rust belt. At AmFest, attendees named Vice President J.D. vance as the odds on favorite to carry the maga tor this is three years out though. President Donald Trump though and many saying the future of conservatism will be built by the team Trump created. Erica Kirk even offered a full on endorsement when she took the stage of JD Vance, by the way. On the Democrats side, a surprise shift, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro emerging as the most predicted nominee, surpassing California Governor Gavin Newsom in perceived viability in that race. A potential Vance Shapiro matchup would pit two younger candidates against each other and could once again put Pennsylvania and the so called blue wall at the center of American politics. Joining us now with analysis, the managing editor for the Daily Signal and author of the book Woke to the Dark Money Cabal Manipulating the Federal government, Tyler o'. Neill. Tyler, good morning.
B
Good morning. Thanks for having me.
A
Pleasure, Tyler. The next presidential election is years away. Potential contenders already making themselves known. It's interesting though, only two times in our history has a vice president become president. And so it's not very likely, at least statistically to happen in terms of President Trump and Erica Kirk naming J.D. vance as president Trump's successor. Also, there's some backlash from maga, surprisingly. What do you think will ultimately happen? Does this make J.D. vance the head of the octopus, which is easier, the woktopus, as you might say, is easier to sort of eliminate. Right. Than if he weren't the name successor. What do you think happens here?
B
Well, I think it's far too easy. It's far too early to tell based on anything can happen in politics. Something can reshape the field in literally minutes. We've already seen, you know, this year felt like 10 years stuffed into one. And I expect President Trump is not going to slow down. That said, there are some very interesting things with this. I think the fact that you have so many conservatives supporting Vance still speaks to his strength in the party. I think the fact that Erica Kirk stood out there with him. But of course, let's, let's be clear here. Erica Kirk didn't say I'm ENDORSING Vance for 2028. And I never will change my mind. It's quite possible that something can happen. So I think J.D. vance is in the driver's seat. He needs to do everything he can to lead well and to, you know, to show the party in the movement that he will stand for conservative principles. And I think, you know, he's done a great job standing up for free speech in Europe. We've seen him making some big moves and it, we'll have to see if he ends up, if he ends up being that guy you know, three years from now, we're talking a while. But I think the more interesting thing that came out of this story is Josh Shapiro edging out Gavin Newsom. I'm not sure either of these gentlemen is going to be at the top of the Democratic ticket when it comes to 2028, but I think it's very telling that Gavin Newsom, who has long presented himself as the left's golden boy, who is trying, you know, he tried to triangulate after Trump's victory. He had Charlie Kirk on his podcast and even acknowledged that there was some injustice of having men compete against girls in women's sports. And yet now he is doubling down on trans issues. He still has to maintain he's trying to do two things at once. He's trying to appeal to too many people, and he's not standing for his own principles, which is one of the reasons why he's weak here. I think Josh Shapiro is well known for being a little bit less of a leaf in the wind, but at the same time, I'm not sure how many people actually trust Josh Shapiro. I mean, he was. He was out campaigning for Abigail Spanberger and refusing to call on Jay Jones to drop out of the Attorney General race in Virginia this past year. So we all. There are so many things to handicap when it comes to a 2028 primary race. But I do think, you know, Shapiro might. His. His greatest strength right now is that he is a little bit more of a moderate in that party. But I also think that the left is not going to allow a more moderate voice to be the bearer without giving clear concessions in the same way that Joe Biden did. I mean, Joe Biden came out and he acted like it was a moderate from the beginning. By the end of that primary, he was supporting pretty much everything that Bernie Sanders wanted. And so we've got to be paying very close attention. We. We might end up seeing Josh Shapiro lead the Democrats in 28, but if so, it's not going to be the Josh Shapiro we know now. It's going to be a more radical version because the Woke to Pus is still very much in control of that party. Yes. Agreed on all of that. Yeah. It's Gavin Chameleon, there's no doubt. And then Josh Shapiro, who the heck knows what kind of version we're going to see of him? And you wonder, let's just. Can I just say it straight up? Are the Democrats going to elect a Jew as the nominee? I mean, that's a legitimate question, and that. That needs to be discussed, but for another time, let's talk about Kamala Harris. Cuz she's such an intellectual heavyweight and she is back making her rounds. She's getting the usual softball treatment from Univision and she's thinking about running for president. And I can't believe I just said those words. And here she is in a recent interview. Have a look.
A
Running for president, I think it may look easier than it is. And it involves. Involves a lot of people, especially the people who love you and are in your life and care about you. You have to know why you're running. And as far as I'm concerned, you have to do it when you understand and have a sense of connection to what people need and want.
B
Go ahead. I think she was right that you have to know why you're running. And I think she's exhibit A of not knowing why you're running. She has wanted to be president for a long period of time. At first she said, oh, well, that Joe Biden guy, he is a racist. We can't support him. And then when there's an opportunity to be his vice president, she's like, sign me up. I don't think anybody knows what Kamala Harris really cares about besides attacking conservatives and Christians for what they believe. That was the most animated I've ever seen her. And to be honest, I was a little bit scared of the prospect of her being anywhere near the top of the ticket. But as soon as she became vice president, it's this bubbly, vapid, empty suit. So, yeah, I don't think she's a real force for 2028. But we have to see there. There is always a chance that the fact that she was the last nominee may count against her. But many, many of us on the more conservative side of the aisle would love to see Kamala Harris and another vibes election in 2028. I think Harris Cross might bode rather well. Hey, Tyler, look, we've been talking a lot about 2028. Can a brother get through 2026? That's my focus. I'm just looking at 2026. Let's not even look beyond that. So I'd like to get your perspective on concerns or optimism as it relates to Republicans, particularly in the House, maintaining the current. Even though it's a slim majority, but the current majority. And I asked that question, given that there are a number of sitting Congress members who are going to be leaving Congress to run for state office. Andy Biggs comes to mind. Nancy Mace over in South Carolina, Elise Stefanik not running for reelection. Look, there are lots of seats that are now vulnerable. I would think your concerns or your thoughts on all of that? Yeah, I think we should be concerned about this. We should also be concerned about the fallout from the redistricting battles we're going to see. You know, there might be another potential bite at the apple in Indiana. Perhaps they should redraw maps to make them a little bit clearer and try to bring some of the Republicans back to the table on that issue when it comes to redistricting. And one of the things here, I prefer that we have an election on the issues. And. But unfortunately, based on the way that Democrats have weaponized redistricting for so long, Republicans need to respond strongly because we just saw, I mean, I'm in Virginia. The National Democratic Redistricting Committee, which is Eric Holder's previous group, shoveled a whole bunch of money into Abigail Spanberger. And the House Democrats in Virginia pushing redistricting in a state that had just four years earlier created a constitutional amendment to make redistricting no longer a political battle. So there is nothing off limits for the left. And I think the right needs to wake up and see that we do need to have some redistricting fights. That said, the overall issue, I think affordability, you know, as much as Trump rightly says it's a con job to suggest that he's the main one who's restricted responsible for inflation, that that is a con job. But the issue of affordability is real. And I think the White House has woken up to this. JD Vance has been speaking about it on on in Pennsylvania. We've seen a lot of movement both on the right and on the left. I think the American people want to hear a solution for how our prices are going to go down and how our wages are going to go up. President Trump has been achieving large strides in that direction. One of the main things is, is all of the above energy strategy, which I think really impacts people's lives. You see it in the numbers at the gas pump. We have to see how the big beautiful bill works out and then.
A
Exactly. Tyler, I'm so sorry. We are totally out of time. So I don't mean to cut you off, but we are totally out of time up against a heartbreak here. Staffers at the network are reportedly threatening to quit after a high profile segment on the administration's nationwide deportation effort has pulled or was pulled just hours before air. The piece was set to examine conditions at El Salvador's CECOT prison, where hundreds of illegals have been sent. However, the network and network leaders say the story needed additional reporting and key voices, including from the White House. Critics inside the newsroom say the story had already cleared legal and editorial review, and they claim the decision to shelve it was political, not journalistic. The controversy comes amid major changes at cbs, including a new editor in chief, corporate restructuring, as well as growing scrutiny over how the network handles coverage of President Trump and the Trump administration.
