Just ahead on American Sunrise, President Trump meets with Ukrainian President Zelensky in Florida. Are we any closer to seeing an end to their war with Russia? And what are the main sticking points that are left? We have breaking coverage throughout the show. Plus, the Justice Department says it has uncovered more documents related to the Epstein files. When can we expect them to be made public? The details just ahead. Also, later. New Year's Eve right around the corner. How are some of the major cities preparing to ensure terror does not ensue? We have those stories. So much more as American Sunrise starts right now.
David Brody
Good morning, America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
David Brody
Politics. President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Emily Finn
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Emily Finn
We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina
The American dream is still alive.
Emily Finn
David.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Emily Finn
I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning. I'm Dr. Gina. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David Brody. He's in Washington, D.C. good morning, Dee bro.
David Brody
Good morning, Gina. Nice long holiday weekend. I'll take some more of it this week, too, with New Year's Eve coming up, New Year's Day and all that stuff.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, yeah. You know, in Florida, you have to constantly pinch yourself and remind yourself this is the Christmas season.
David Brody
That's right.
Dr. Gina
This is the Christmas season. I put up six trees this year because I had to somehow make it seem like it's it's very hard to get when you're from the Midwest, let me say, where it snows at Christmas and it's cold at Christmas. Although this year really almost it seemed like, I guess New Jersey got some snow. Did you all get some snow?
David Brody
We got a Dusting, freezing rain, pretty much. You know, you mentioned six trees. We could barely put up one in our house. But we got there finally. Hey, let's talk about a few things going on because as we're just kind of kicking back and relaxing. President Trump, of course, never relaxes. And he wears a suit on Christmas, the day after Christmas, the day before Christmas. Whoever seen Trump in shorts? That's a separate issue.
Dr. Gina
Never.
David Brody
I don't think we ever have.
Narrator/Announcer
Never.
David Brody
No, no. Never seen him.
Dr. Gina
I'll see him running around in his golf stuff around Mar A Lago in his golf, you know, with this white, it's always the white golf shirt. But I've never. With his khaki pants. But I have never ever seen him in shorts. No.
David Brody
Now. Well, he'll be in a suit today. He's going to meet obviously with the Israeli Prime Minister. Benjamin Netanyahu coming to Mar A Lago down by you today, 1pm Eastern. We'll have coverage here on Real America's Voice. Obviously, he's going to discuss the efforts in Gaza, but also Iran looks. Yeah, here we go again. They're building up their ballistic missiles. So they'll discuss this. And then of course, Zelensky was there, President Zelensky from Ukraine there yesterday. That was the big news, discussing all sorts of things as it relates to Russia and Ukraine. Here's a little bit of what President Trump said about that. Have a look. The U.S. ukraine, security guarantees. What number are we at right now?
Emily Finn
Well, I think we're, look, you know, you can say 95%, but I don't.
David Brody
Like to say percentages.
Emily Finn
I just think we're doing very well. We're very, we could be very close. There are one or two very thorny issues, very tough issues. But I think we're doing very well. We've made a lot of progress today, but really we've made it over the last month. This is not a one day process deal, this very complicated stuff. But I think when the president says 95, I think, you know, could be close to 95%.
David Brody
I don't know, Gina. It feels like a broken record. Thorny issues, difficult situation. We'll see if Putin gets on board. Where have we heard this before? I mean, it's just, I don't know. What's your take?
Dr. Gina
Yeah, well, I know that he's relentless. Look, he's not gonna give up. He's gonna keep pushing, he's gonna keep trying. You gotta. We were all a little surprised when we heard that he was going to bring these leaders to Mar a lago over the Christmas holiday. Like you said, no rest for the weary. I just don't know. I think some of these leaders are just not very good at being leaders, David. I don't know.
Narrator/Announcer
That's.
David Brody
I would agree with you. And by the way, why would Putin pull out of the Donbass region in Eastern Ukraine? They have 90% of it at this point, so it doesn't make any sense. Anyhow, we'll discuss that during the show. All right, time for the Bible verse, Dr. Psalm 62.
Dr. Gina
8. Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. As we've been covering, President Trump met with Ukrainian President Zelensky in Florida. And ahead of that meeting, Trump said he also spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Narrator/Announcer
Take a look.
Emily Finn
I saw a very interesting President Putin today. I mean, he, he wants to see it happen. He wants to see it.
David Brody
He told me very strongly. I believe him. Don't forget, we went through the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax together.
Emily Finn
And he'd call me, I'd call him.
David Brody
I'd say, can you believe the stuff.
Emily Finn
That they're making up?
David Brody
And it turned out we were right.
Emily Finn
They made it all up.
David Brody
And despite that, we didn't get into.
Emily Finn
Wars or we didn't get into problems, but we weren't able to trade very much or any of that, which was.
David Brody
A shame because, you know, a lot.
Emily Finn
Of success could have been had by trading with Russia. They have great land, great minerals and other things, and we have things that they want very badly.
Dr. Gina
And why can't Zelensky just wear a suit? Bringing in now South Carolina Congressman Ralph Norman. Congressman, do you have any major reaction to this meeting or does it seem like more of the same?
Emily Finn
Well, I think the encouraging thing, Gene.
David Brody
Is that they're talking. Donald Trump does not give up.
Emily Finn
And I think I take him at his word.
David Brody
He really wants to stop the killing, the innocent killing that's been going on now for over four years. So, you know, he will not give up. He'll keep the talks going. You got to remember, you know, Putin.
Emily Finn
Is not exactly the nicest person in the world.
David Brody
He is a thug. He is a murderer. He's a KGB operator. Zelensky, you know, he's, he's got his own issues, but bottom line, they're working on it. And everything starts with the conversation. And I applaud him for doing that. Straight up truth serum. Question, Congressman, do you really think this war will come to an end? Well, what I don't see, Putin's incentive here. It's not too obviously he doesn't care about death and destruction, clearly. So what's his incentive to end this war? Exactly. Economically, I mean, it's taken a terrible toll on his military.
Emily Finn
And to Ukraine's credit, they have fought.
David Brody
And they fought violently. You know, they've got, you know, 50, 60 and older men and women who are battling for their survival. And it, I think it is about territorial rights. Donbass, as you mentioned, is controlled 94% by Russia and the thorny issues of that.
Emily Finn
But at the end of the day.
David Brody
I think when it gets economically unfeasible.
Emily Finn
For Russia to continue the war, it's pretty ev.
David Brody
Ukraine's going to fight to the last man, so we'll see how it goes. And it could be a broken record, but at least the record player is.
Emily Finn
Playing and there could be some progress when I take stock, when he says.
David Brody
I guess Zelensky said 95%. So we'll wait and see.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, but the problem is, Congressman, it's an expensive record to keep playing and there's been zero accountability for where all of the billions of gone that are American taxpayer dollars. There was a lot of conversation right at first at the beginning of President Trump's reelection that there would be a strict accounting for all of the money that has gone there. But we haven't had that.
David Brody
We haven't had it. But now we did get to deal with the rare minerals and earth that only Donald Trump would champion. And you're right, it's been unaccountable. I will not vote for more funding.
Emily Finn
For Ukraine until the accountability is in place. And I don't think President Trump wants it. He just wants killing to stop.
David Brody
But, you know, the funding has been unheard of by this Congress for a number of years. And I mean, I think there is a growing resistance to putting any more money.
Emily Finn
And by the way, it's barred money.
David Brody
It's not like we have a treasure of unborrowed cash. We've got our own fiscal issues that we have to face and, you know, get accountability to the American people first.
Emily Finn
But there's so many things that the.
David Brody
Fronts that we're fighting that are taking.
Emily Finn
Money, you know, the B and aid.
David Brody
That I hear is coming for the U.N. but again, this president has got respect of for once in the last four years, we had no respect of.
Emily Finn
Our allies from Biden with Trump, they respect him.
David Brody
They know he's a man of his word.
Emily Finn
And it'll be a. I think it's such a bright day and things to look forward to.
David Brody
Congressman, not to kind of harp on Ukraine, but I do want to do the follow up to the follow up to the follow up here. And I'm curious a little bit about the future. If there is a peace deal here, what the United States involvement in this may be. Because what Zelenskyy wants, in essence is for both Russia and Ukraine to both pull out of the Donbass region and have this economic free zone and have it like monitored by some sort of international force of some sort. So are you concerned about the United States involvement in not just from a financial standpoint but from a bit of a boots on the ground situation there to monitor the Donbass region or is this all going to be Europe? I can't imagine the President putting any sort of boots on the ground there. No, I can't either. I don't think the American people will.
Emily Finn
Want that, nor will they put up with that.
David Brody
I mean, we've had so much unaccounted dollars that went to Ukraine that as.
Emily Finn
Gina mentioned, was unaccounted for and what.
David Brody
Do we get for it? But I do think at the end.
Emily Finn
Of the day it's going to be.
David Brody
Economic situation that Russia faces.
Emily Finn
They're the ones that are doing the, the serious bombing now of all the regions. And Donbass is a, that's the, the.
David Brody
Thorny issue in my mind when President Trump mentioned that during the press conference yesterday. So we'll see. But it's a, at least the talks.
Emily Finn
Are ongoing and we'll see what happens.
David Brody
And you know, it had been that long ago and when Trump was telling Zelensky he didn't hold the cards and he still doesn't hold the cards.
Emily Finn
But I think we'll hopefully get whatever.
David Brody
Money is worth for America with the rare minerals and earth things that they.
Emily Finn
Will get out of Ukraine, I think.
David Brody
Make a difference and hopefully get us on the road to accountability and being paid back.
Dr. Gina
Congressman, the Justice Department says it has found more than 1 million additional documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case and may need a few more weeks to review and release everything to the public. DOJ officials say lawyers are working round the clock now to redact sensitive information and comply with the congressional deadline they've already missed. By the way, Congressman. Yeah, what's going to happen here?
David Brody
You know, Gina, that is on that, that's unfathomable that this is coming up at this late minute, what thousands of documents uncovered.
Emily Finn
Look, this thing's been going on since before 2000.
David Brody
I think he was a convicted pedophile in 2017. So the public doesn't buy that anymore. It's interesting, from What I'm told, 11.
Emily Finn
Of the Democrat senators don't want anything.
David Brody
Released until they get some answers.
Emily Finn
What answers do you need?
David Brody
The American people said release the files. Release the files. Redact the innocent victims that don't want the identity revealed. And you know, I'll see it. I mean, I believe it when I see it, but it's really, you talk.
Emily Finn
About a broken record that's being played.
David Brody
Again, release the files. And they've had time to, to do the proper redaction.
Emily Finn
That was the whole thing anyway.
David Brody
You know, there are a lot of.
Emily Finn
Innocent minors and children that were abused.
David Brody
That did not want their name in the public.
Emily Finn
That was our understanding for I think.
David Brody
Most of us in Congress.
Emily Finn
And now to say, well, they've got.
David Brody
To go back through it and research it.
Emily Finn
I don't buy that.
David Brody
And you know, American, the American people.
Emily Finn
Just want accountability and they want the truth.
David Brody
And we just haven't heard it yet.
Dr. Gina
Well, Congressman Norman, thank you so much. Thanks for standing so strong for so many of the harder things. We appreciate you.
David Brody
My pleasure.
Emily Finn
Thank you all.
David Brody
Happy New Year.
Dr. Gina
Happy New Year. All right. Coming up, we're going to check out the hottest headlines from the Navro rap newsroom with Emily Finn. And also later, midterm elections. Our top headlines this morning, President Trump is set to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later today in Florida. Trump and Bibi will be holding key talks on Iran and furthering the deal to end the war in Gaza. Netanyahu will also make the case for further action against Iran. This all also comes after President Trump hosted Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelinsky. Trump says they're getting closer to a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine following that meeting. And one of the main sticking points remaining is land. Trump also talked to Russian leader Vladimir Putin ahead of the Zelensky meeting. Also, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is pushing back against fraud allegations in Minnesota after a viral video showed visits to several childcare centers, including one that allegedly received millions in state funding despite appearing largely inactive. A spokesperson for Walls said the governor has spent years working to crack down on fraud, strengthened oversight of state programs, launched investigations into facilities and closed at least one Center. The viral 42 minute video showed a daycare with the misspelled sign and little activity allegedly receiving millions in taxpayer dollars. We will have more on this a little later in the show. Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt has announced that she is expecting her second child. Sharing the news on social media just after Christmas, Levitt says she and husband Nicholas Riccio are thrilled to grow our family and can't wait to watch their son become a big brother in to a baby girl due in May. Levitt praised President Trump and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for supporting a family friendly work environment as she continues to serve as the youngest press secretary in U.S. history. Up next, President Trump meets with Ukrainian President Zelensky in Florida. What does this mean for Europe? We have expert analysis next, but first, a quick look at today in history. It was on this date in 1851 that the first YMCA opened in the United States. Its location, Boston, Massachusetts. And their goal, to put quote, Christian principles into practice by developing a healthy body, mind and spirit. Those are the three sides of the YMCA triangle logo. In America today, you can get yourself clean, have a good meal at the almost 2,700 YMCAs around the country that involve 21 million men, women and children. And thanks to the music group the Village People, the YMCA is the topic of one of President Trump's favorite songs. American Sunrise will return in just a moment.

In case Joe Biden is watching this morning. That is the Statue of Liberty. I just wanted to give him a heads up. You'll need a refresher course, clearly. Welcome back everybody, to American Sunrise. All right, President Trump met with Ukrainian President Vladimir, excuse me, Vladimir Volodymyr Zelensky in Florida, and he touched on one of the main sticking points remaining to end the war. And that is the land. Have a look in your mind, sir.
Commercial Voice/Advertiser
What are, what are the thorniest issues still unresolved after.
David Brody
Well, I think the land you're talking about, some of that land has been taken. Some of that land is maybe up for grabs, but it may be taken over the next period of a number of months.
Emily Finn
And are you better off making a deal now? Look, let me tell you, they have been very brave. They fought very hard and continue to.
David Brody
Fight very hard and do tremendous damage. But Russia would like to see it end and Ukraine would like to see it.
Emily Finn
And I think it's time to end.
David Brody
And a lot of very brave people.
Emily Finn
A lot of people are dead right now, unfortunately.
David Brody
All right, well, let's bring in now former Secret Service special agent, former Department of Homeland Security adviser. That would be Charles Marino. Charles, thanks for being here. Look, so. So the reality here is that Russia controls roughly 90% or so of the Donbas region in Eastern Ukraine. So then what happens here? I mean, Ukraine has lost the territory. I mean, even President Trump saying there, basically, I'm going to just paraphrase him, but he's basically like, to Zelensky, take the deal, you're losing, so you might as well take something now before you lose everything. But Zelensky doesn't want to give up any part of the Donbass region and pull out there. So where are we exactly after all of this? Well, I think as of Sunday, we're at a 20 point plan that I think there's about 90% agreement on, which is pretty good. But it's that part they're saying they're stuck on, and that is the land that Russia has currently taken from Ukraine. And do they get to keep it? And I think what President Trump's strategy when he talks to Zelensky is, look, can things get a lot more worse here in terms of the land grab? And I think the president's advising Zelensky that, yes, it possibly can. So cut your losses now and why don't you just, let's, let's establish the lines where they are right now and let's move forward. There's a lot of other enhancements that are part of this 20 point plan, like, you know, a demilitarized zone allowing Zelensky to rebuild his military to a strength of 800,000, membership as part of the European Union, not so much NATO, but the European Union. And so there's a lot of other enhancements here that I think President Trump believes should be able to offset that loss of land.
Dr. Gina
The United States has launched airstrikes against ISIS targets in Nigeria. President Trump says the attacks were carried out with Nigerian support and were aimed at militants linked to isis. US Officials say strikes are part of ongoing efforts to fight terrorist groups in the region. Charles, are there more strikes coming?
David Brody
Well, they should be. This is something that should never stop. ISIS is a persistent threat, whether it's in Nigeria or any other place around the world. We saw what happens when you take your foot off the gas, as the Biden administration has. Look, these terrorist threats don't go away. They never do. We saw a shift from Al Qaeda to isis, almost a shift in brand, if you will. They don't go away. They change their face. They change the way they present themselves. And let's not forget that these operate no different than what the cartels do in some way, shape or form almost as a business. So their goal is to strive. Their goal is to remain in existence. And if they need to change up the brand, change up the way they go about their operations, they will. So these strikes need to continue to diminish ISIS to the best that we can. But rest assured, they're never completely going to go away.
Narrator/Announcer
Also, Charles, I wanted to talk to you about New Year's Eve security. World leaders and police have canceled or boosted security for New Year's Eve celebrations as fears of terror threats grow. Major cities like Paris, Sydney and Tokyo have scrapped parties or tightened measures. And authorities say plots targeting crowds have been foiled. In the US and elsewhere, officials warn people to expect heavy police presence as counterterrorism efforts continue ahead of New Year's countdowns. Charles, what do you make of this?
David Brody
Well, in the US for a place like New York, for example, to cancel New Year's Eve celebrations, it would take some extraordinary, specific, incredible information of an imminent threat or attack that were to take place. So, you know, nypd, lapd, all of these big police departments in the United States are very good on the proactive side, that is the gathering of intelligence, the working with federal authorities like the FBI, and also the extensive security planning that they put in place for the event itself. So expect these to go on. But as usual, expect no shortage of security, bag check screening and resources on the law enforcement side that you can both see and those that would be unseen as well. There'll be a lot of operations to ensure the safety and security of the American public. Charles, can we just call this out? We got about a minute left or so, but we're talking about, when we talk about terrorism, we're talking predominantly about radical Islamic terrorism. That's the main threat. There's other threats out there. I'm not saying there aren't, but this is the main one. Tucker Carlson the other day said he doesn't know anybody since 911 that's been killed by radical Islamic terrorism here in the United States. Did he miss Fort Hood? Did he miss San Bernardino? I mean, can I go down the list? There's been hundreds, hundreds in the last 24 years. I'm curious to get your take about the radical Islamic terrorism aspect to this. Well, I think he's also missing what just took place in Washington, D.C. with the death of a National Guard soldier and the injuring of another. I mean, this is, I can't believe that statement was made, to be quite honest. Unbelievable. We have a significant problem in this country first tied to the open borders. We've got special interest locations that have been allowed to make their way into the country. And I can tell you that radicalization is now able to be achieved from within our own borders. It no longer takes somebody to travel to a location in the Middle east, for example, no longer done solely online. It takes place here in the country because we've had all of these radical ideologies from around the world were given a gigantic bear hug by the Biden administration and ushered into our country. No vetting, no other forms of checks. So we have no idea who's in the country. But what we do know is that all of these radical global ideologies are now present here in the United States. And that makes both organized attacks more possible and lone wolf attacks more possible, as we saw in D.C. and other places. So the threat is alive and well because the Biden administration embraced all of the threats from around the world and ushered them into the country.
Dr. Gina
That is a boy. Those radical Catholics, you really gotta watch them. Yeah, I mean, you know, I think it's so important to point out it is one radical ideology that threatens our peace.
David Brody
Yeah, well, just like we're hearing now with this attack in Nigeria that all of a sudden, this isn't about religion. You know, ISIS all of a sudden has an affinity for Christians around the world and want to live together in peace. That couldn't be further from the truth. I mean, there's video evidence of this, of. Of a terrorist organization like Isaac ISIS crucifying people because of their Christian beliefs. So, you know, let's stop with the. With this foolishness and pay attention to the facts. There's a lot of noise out there right now, but as usual, the truth will. Will find its way to the top for sure. Charles, thanks for providing some of that truth today. Appreciate it. Happy New Year.
Dr. Gina
Thanks, Charles. Happy New Year.
David Brody

That is Kansas City. Some great Christmas shopping there. If you ever want a fun destination, the Kansas City Plaza, at least it was when I was was growing up was like the place to go shop. It was so fun. You got the Christmas spirit. Another one I love is Lakeshore Drive in Chicago. Beautiful. Just gets you really in the Christmas spirit. Florida, not so much. Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us. Time now for today's health news, sponsored by the Wellness Company and under the microscope today, how much water do you really need to drink every single day? Well, while many people still hear that eight glasses a day rule, but is that enough? Authoritative guidelines suggest that adult men may need about 15 and a half cups of total fluids every day, women about 11 and a half cups. That's counting all liquids, along with water from food. Health professionals stress that thirst is a key signal and that fruits and vegetables and other beverages also help your body stay hydrated. Also, don't forget about your salt intake. For so many years, we believed the lie that that salt was bad. Remember that? Crazy salt and pepper, by the way, really good for you. Both of them pepper more as a detox, but salt as a hydrator Listen to your body. Dark urine could be a sign you need more fluids, especially not in hot weather during exercise. And watch those drinks that are supposed to be hydrators. They have a lot of sugar and things in them. Guess what? They're not hydrating you. They're doing all kinds of other bad things to you. So I think, really, I don't know. I'm a tea addict. As you guys know. I talk about it all the time. Tea and honey all day long. Doctors have warned this year's flu season was going to be a rough one. Now even mainstream media outlets reporting that a new more virulent severe flu strain is spreading fast here in the US I know that some of my family got it over Christmas and it was not fun. Here's the kicker though. The already ineffective flu vaccine is even less effective against this new strain. What? The mainstream media will not tell you that Dr. Peter Mercola warned about this weeks ago. And that's why we all here at rav, we trust the wellness company's two step approach. Step one, prevention through immune defense. Nasal and throat sprays used daily that supports your body's first line defense. Right where viruses enter. Step two, early treatment through contagion Emergency kit. Physician prescribed antiviral options. Dr. Gina
Bazint.
David Brody
Tell you what, when we're off that long holiday weekend, I miss that Bazint. I kind of feel like I needed to call you like the day after Christmas or something and say, hey, can you give me a bazint? Just give me one. Just give me a Bazint. Thank you. I can't do it like you. All right. The president of the Kennedy center is threatening a $1 million lawsuit against Jazz musician Chuck Red. Red canceled a Christmas Eve concert like at the last second. Red says he pulled out to protest the center's name change linked to Donald Trump. Kennedy center officials say the cancellation caused financial damage. So for more, let's Bring in GOP strategist and fellow for the Independent Women's Forum. That would be Nicole Kiprilov. Nicole, thanks for being here. You know, you knew something like this was going to happen. And indeed, it happened quickly, by the way. So what do you make of the controversy? I gotta tell you, I'm gonna be straight up about it. First of all, a couple things. Once Democrats get back in power, you know, President Trump's name is coming down. I personally think they should have just left the name alone. I think it's a bad look. I think it's bad form. I mean, he's. My goodness. I mean, he's living the last time I checked. And also he's the head of the board of. So I don't know. Please tell me I'm wrong. Maybe I'm wrong.
Narrator/Announcer
Well, look, I like the idea of including Trump's name on it. I think he's had so many incredible accomplishments and make accomplishments. It makes total sense to honor him in this way. And I think that Trump, Kennedy presents a bipartisan approach here. You had Kennedy being a Democrat, of course, and Trump being a Republican. But Brody, David, I do wanna make a point here about the lawsuit because I think it makes a lot of sense. I think, think that this lawsuit is very important because this is a broken contract that we're dealing with here with very real consequences, all because of a political stunt. That's the. The politicized aspect to this. It's not naming the Kennedy Center Trump Kennedy center, it's this political stunt by Chuck Red, who agreed to perform at the Kennedy center and then bailed to make this political statement. And I think it's very important to highlight here that actions have consequences. If you sign a contract and promote a show and then cancel on Christmas Eve, which is one of the most lucrative nights of the year, you don't get to hide behind this protest rhetoric. When you have accountability, that comes knocking at the door. So I find this to be very ironic. Here is, you know, the same people who scream about, quote, unquote, free expression are fine with punishing institutions the moment they don't align politically. You don't have to like Donald Trump, but not liking him doesn't free you from contractual obligations. This is a very standard ethics and basic business practices. And I think renaming the center Trump Kennedy center does not warrant breaking from those basic business practices.
David Brody
Good point.
Dr. Gina
Also, Nicole, President Trump is turning his sights to 2026. In the upcoming midterms, Trump says he believes the political focus will be on pricing and lowering costs for Americans. His message comes as GOP lawmakers struggle with narrow majorities and Democrats aim to win back Congress. Nicole, what do you see as the major issue ahead of the midterms? What will make or break Republicans in this upcoming year? We're almost there.
David Brody
Yeah.
Narrator/Announcer
Well, Dr. Gina, I think it's definitely the economy, but beyond that, I think it's immigration. Honestly. Immigration will be the moral and I would say emotional core of 2026, I believe. The angel families, the parents who have lost their children to crimes committed by illegal aliens, they're going to define the next election cycle and frankly, should continue to define many election cycles to come. These families, they put a human face on policy failure. And this is where the Democrats are most vulnerable. One of the strongest emotional frames across elections is putting victims over activists, victims over criminals. That's what resonates with voters. Policies evaluated by who they hurt. Real people and real victims over loud interest groups and accountability when policies fail. And that's why this messaging wins over voters and is so incredibly important for Republicans to embrace. As we get into the midterms, voters will instinctively side with those who've paid the price for bad decisions such as the bad decisions of the Biden administration.
Dr. Gina
Well, Nicole, we will be watching alongside you, I am sure. Thank you for being here today.
Narrator/Announcer

And today, how ideology can flip a story on msnow A guest reframed US Airstrikes against ISIS targets in Nigeria not as counterterrorism but as racial aggression. Professor Jason Johnson acknowledged the violence on the ground, then quickly moved past it. The focus shifted from ISIS to President Trump. He called the strikes, quote, violence in a brown country. Take a look at this.
Emily Finn
We know that this is just another opportunity for this administration to engage in violence in a brown country in order.
David Brody
To flex their power.
Narrator/Announcer
What's happening in Nigeria takes a back seat. Who ordered the strikes take center stage? The targets were ISIS terrorists. For the woke left, everything is about race until facts get in the way. Let's bring in Dr. Gina for further discussion here. Gina, Quite disgusting to see this. Not surprising to see a clip like that on Ms. Now though.
Dr. Gina
No, really not. And I had to think when I was reading that before, when I was introing the topic before we went to break, I thought, Ms. Now. What even is that? Because like, who watches that, right? Emily? But you know, here's the thing. It's sad. I was thinking about this. It's been what, 50 years since Martin Luther King said, I hope that the future holds that men are no longer judged by the color of their skin, but the content of their character. And here you have this clown on some network no one watches or has heard of or cares about, spouting his rhetoric for the choir, right? For those who only believe like him and can't think outside of their nasty retaliatory attitudes and talking only about skin color.
Emily Finn
This is.
Dr. Gina
None of this has anything to do with skin color. And we are so beyond that, Emily. It's so impossible. I was watching something last night, I can't even remember what it was, and somebody said something about. About somebody being black on the show, and I thought, that person looks as black as my white dog. I mean, this person was just not black.
Narrator/Announcer
Right?
Dr. Gina
You can't tell what anyone's race is anymore. We are the melting pot here in America, and people just need to get over the skin color thing. I just don't think we need to discuss it anymore.
Narrator/Announcer
I am so with you, Gina. Not everything has to be about race. Who cares? Nobody cares. There are Christians dying in Nigeria. That's what we should care about. You know, certainly not anything to have to do with race. And, you know, I think this is. People are opening their eyes to this, Gina, especially on the Democrat side. I think that they're having a huge problem with this even among their own party that, you know, the racial politics, this type of ideology just is not going to resonate and it's not going to work for them moving forward. And people are like us, are going to continue to make fun of people who want to make everything about race. It just doesn't make any sense.
Dr. Gina
No, it really doesn't. I mean, we've had a black president. We've had a black vice president, at least sort of black. I don't. She couldn't make up her mind whether she was black or not. But I guess everyone gets to decide what race they are now. But, you know, and we've had, you know, this day and age who. There's literally no one that can say, oh, you know, most of my friends come from this race, or that we are a beautiful big melting pot. And I'm just. I'm tired of the whining. The whining has got to get over with. Emily.
Narrator/Announcer

Dr. Gina
All right. Welcome back to American Sunrise. It is time for our moment of faith brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the great people at the God Bless the USA Bible IN FOCUS today Seeing the Messiah with fresh eyes in the year ahead. As the new year begins, many are searching for direction and purpose. Scripture tells one connected story, but we don't always see the details that bring it to life. What if understanding God's design from beginning to end could transform how we live? Joining us now, Rabbi Jason Sobel, author of Transformed by the Messiah. Rabbi Sobel, can seeing these connections in scripture transform our faith as we step into the new year?
David Brody
Yeah, absolutely. I think as we understand how the.
Emily Finn
Old and New Testament Jesus connections actually reveals God's intentional story for our lives.
David Brody
Life and that is a source of hope and encouragement.
Dr. Gina
What is one insight, if you could give us one, that your book helps people see Jesus more clearly?
David Brody
Yeah, I think, you know, we just.
Emily Finn
Came off the Christmas season. Jesus is the son of Joseph.
David Brody
What's interesting is that, you know, biblically.
Emily Finn
Joseph is a type of the Messiah. And in Jewish thought, the Messiah is known as the son of Joseph.
David Brody
So think about Joseph. He he was falsely accused, stripped of his clothes, thrown into a pit, sold for sil, were promoted to the right hand of Pharaoh. The brothers didn't recognize him the first.
Emily Finn
Time, only the second time. This is a picture of Jesus.
David Brody
But despite all this, Joseph never got bitter. And at the end of his life, he said, what you meant for evil, God meant for good.
Emily Finn
And there's something beautiful here, something shocking.
David Brody
The Hebrew word ferment literally means to weave. Joseph is saying what you meant to.
Emily Finn
Weave in my life.

We can't See what God's doing in our life. We feel kind of, you know, these struggles. We feel knotted. It doesn't seem to make sense.
Emily Finn
Our pain might feel pointless.
David Brody
But listen, God is weaving it together for good.
Emily Finn
The story's not done, the fabric's not complete, but he's making something beautiful out of your life, just like he did in the life of Jesus.
Dr. Gina
It's interesting because you talk about this weaving, and I've always thought of it as a sewing metaphor where we're below. I have this friend who watches this show every day. I'm sure she's watching who we stitch. That's what we did when we were in college together and whatever. The back of her tapestry was always beautiful. The back of mine looked like a train wreck. And I always thought, you know, that's what we're seeing from down here. We're seeing the wrong side of the tapestry. Right. He's sewing it from above. It's such a beautiful metaphor if you think about, well, at least my stitches style, not my friend Charlene's. But I want to ask you, what is your backstory? Because I think that is an interesting piece of information for your book.
Emily Finn
Yeah, absolutely.
David Brody
I mean, I grew up in a Jewish family, going to Hebrew school.
Emily Finn
Lost my a lot of my family during the Holocaust.
David Brody
But I was working in the music industry and went on a spiritual journey, had a supernatural encounter with Jesus, and that led me to believe that he was the promised Messiah of the Hebrew of the Old Testament. And that's why we love connecting old and the new, showing how it all fits together.
Dr. Gina
I love that so much. I just did a deep dive over the Christmas season on all of the prophecy in the lineage of Jesus and where it all is, because I just got back from Israel not too long ago, and wow, wow, wow. It's just so alive for me right now. But I can only imagine coming from your background, how alive it is. And they've got to get your book Transformed by the Messiah. All right, here we go. Coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise. President Trump meets with Ukraine's President Zelensky at Mar a Lago. The two leaders spoke for more than three hours before taking questions from reporters. We're going to bring you the latest development from that meeting here in just a sec. Plus, more fraud in Minnesota Governor Tyler Tim Walls under fire now after an independent investigation found $4 million, at least 4 million actually in taxpayer money, has been going into an empty daycare center. We're gonna bring you all those details. Also later, new data reveals chilling details about free speech at American universities. We're gonna break those numbers down for you a little later on in the hour. The those stories. So much more as the second hour of American Sunrise starts right now.
David Brody
Good morning, America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
David Brody
Politics. President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.

David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G and Emily Finn, both in our West Palm beach studios. T. Bates out this week. Ladies, welcome, welcome. You know, I had a, well, how do I say this? I had quite a bit to eat over the holiday weekend.
Dr. Gina
We're so glad to know that, David, thank you for sharing.
David Brody
Yes, no, I want to share my dietary stuff with you. Obviously, we're family. Now. President Trump, on the other hand, he has a steady diet, if you will, of world leaders. Gina coming. And Benjamin Netanyahu is up next today at 1:00'.
Dr. Gina
Clock.
David Brody
Should be interesting. More headlines.
Dr. Gina
Dr. G. Yeah, no doubt about it. There'll be more headlines. You kind of wonder where all this is going, though, Emily.
Narrator/Announcer
Absolutely. Well, we can dive right into those headlines now. President Trump, as you said, is set to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later today in Florida. Trump and Bibi will be holding key talks on Iran and furthering the deal to end the war in Gaza. Netanyahu will also make the case for further action against against Iran. This also comes after President Trump hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump says they're getting closer to a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine following the meeting. And one of the main sticking points remaining is land. Trump also talked to Russian leader Vladimir Putin ahead of the Zelensky meeting. Also, Minnesota Governor Tim Walls pushing back against fraud allegations in Minnesota after a viral video showed visits to several childcare centers, including one that allegedly received millions in state funding despite appearing largely inactive. A spokesperson for Walls said the governor has spent years working to crack down on fraud, strengthened oversight of state programs, launched investigations into facilities and closed at least one Center. The viral 42 minute video showed a daycare with a misspelled sign and little activity, allegedly receiving millions in 20 taxpayer dollars. We will have more on this a little later in the show. In the meantime, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt has announced she is expecting her second child. Sharing the news on social media just after Christmas, Levitt says she and her husband are thrilled to grow our family and can't wait to watch their son become a big brother to a baby girl due in May. Levitt praised President Trump and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for support supporting a family friendly work environment as she continues to serve as the youngest press secretary in U.S. history. All right, we want to go over to Tracy Anthony for our live weather hit. Hi, Tracy. Great to see you. Give us the forecast. What can we expect to see throughout the U.S. hey, good morning. You know, across the country, it's really the Northeast in the Great Lakes where we're going to have some of the big biggest issues. We have a powerful low pressure center that's working on through. And you can see just with all of the watches and warnings that are in place, we have widespread winter weather advisories, wind advisories and even some ice storm advisories up into the Northeast and New England. So if I take off some of the advisories, you can see all this pink here on the radar that's freezing radio rain. And we will have some cooler air and snow working in on the backside. So this system, very powerful. It's causing lots of issues. So those of you traveling after the holidays, maybe you didn't want to travel over the weekend because there's millions of people on the road today. Still not going to be the best travel day across the Northeast and that will stick around through tomorrow. The rest of the country calm and quiet, but cooler than temperature is expected all the way down to the Gulf coast by Tuesday morning. So the surge of cold air coming in behind this system leaves us with some cold weather advisories all the way down to Alabama. So definitely bundle up if you're across the Central Plains or out east. Now, the western US you're bracing for your next big storm by about Wednesday. So that's going to be New Year's Eve, Emily. All right. Well, sounds like definitely Bundle up and stay home if you can. Don't travel if you can avoid it. Best bet, Weather Nation's Tracy Anthony, thank you so much for that update. Appreciate you. And remember, for all of you watching right now, scan that QR code at the bottom of your screen to join the Weather Nation family. Let's send it back to David and Gina now.
David Brody
All right, Emily, appreciate it. So President Trump ladies, met with Ukrainian President Zelensky in Florida yesterday at Mar a Lago. The meeting comes as the White House tries to finally bring the war between Russia and Ukraine to a close. So Putin's full scale aggression into Ukraine began, believe it or not, four years ago now. But also the reality is that this war has been going on for 12 years since Russia annexed Crimea back in the day in 2014. The President now says both parties are closer than ever to reaching an agreement. Yeah, I don't know about that, but take a look at this.
Emily Finn
I really believe we're probably, Mr. President, closer than by far closer than ever before with both parties. We had some times when he was.
David Brody
Close and President Putin wasn't.
Emily Finn
Then when President Putin was close and he wasn't, you saw that in the White House. But, but I think they both want to see it happen.
David Brody
All right. Joining us now with the latest is RAP chief White House correspondent Brian Glenn. Brian, thanks for being here. And let me just read you a quote from President Trump, which I kind of shook my head when he said it. He said this, Russia wants to see Ukraine succeed. That's news to Zelensky. I don't think that's necessarily true, to be quite frank with you, Brian.
Emily Finn
Yeah, you know, good morning, everybody. That was one of my biggest takeaways as well, David. I simply, simply shook my head and.
David Brody
Said, I don't think that's the case.
Emily Finn
Although you could position it as they want to make money on Ukraine as far as providing energy resources and things like that. So maybe that's what he meant. But are we any closer to his peace plan? I mean, President Trump doesn't like to put percentages on anything, even though at one point they said it was 95% done. But here's the two big takeaways here. This goes down to the Donbass reason region, which primarily Russia controls. Now, at one point, President Trump said that region could be taken back by Ukraine. Now he's reversed his stance on that. So it's about the Donbass region. But number two is security guarantees for Ukraine over a 15 year period. Now what exactly does that look like? Does that mean U.S. forces? Does that mean European Union forces? Like who. Who is control of that? So I guess another takeaway is we could have a trilateral meeting between Putin, Zelensky and Trump in the next coming weeks. He hit it around January, so we could see that as well. But this saga which you talked about has been going on for a long time.
David Brody
So are we any closer to getting this peace plan done?
Emily Finn
I would say yes, but we have not heard much from Putin, although President Trump was on the phone with him for about two and a half hours a few days ago. But he's only met with them once, and that was in Alaska.
David Brody
So let's, let's see if perhaps this.
Emily Finn
Trilateral can get things done. But I'll give Zelensky a little bit of credit for trying to follow up on this, but that's well yet to see a total commitment. They're most attacking each other, by the way. There is no ceasefire. Matter of fact, Russia refuses to have a ceasefire on this.
David Brody
Yeah.
Dr. Gina
Brian, The Trump administration ordered bombings on ISIS targets in Nigeria over this holiday weekend. Some of the President's critics have called the operation a distraction from the release of the Epstein files, pointing to 47's previous proximity to Jeffrey Epstein before he was imprisoned. Brian, how's the White House responding to these accusations?
Emily Finn
Yeah, they're not buying that. And I don't think the American people do either. As much as I think the media likes to spin anything that the Trump administration does, as to position that as being some type of operative to distract you from the Epstein files, I don't.
David Brody
Think that's the case.
Emily Finn
This killing of Christians and Muslims in Nigeria has been going on for quite some time now. Some people even say the strikes that took place on, on Christmas is not necessarily where the majority of the Christians have been killed, but primarily in an area where these militants have taken over some of these villages. But I think these ISIS strikes that were performed offshore by about a dozen Tomahawk missiles coming in hot on these areas, killing ISIS leaders and ISIS warriors.
David Brody
I don't think this is a distraction.
Emily Finn
At all from the Epstein situation.
David Brody
That continues to be a separate story.
Emily Finn
But I think as all of us, you know, I would think people watching as Christian and people of faith, we want to see this, this slaughter stop in this country. And the government of Nigeria actually applauded the efforts of President Trump and the US Military.
Narrator/Announcer
Brian, switching gears here, President Trump is scheduled for another high profile meeting today, this time with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. What can you tell us ahead of this meeting.
Emily Finn
Yeah, I'm starting to dig into that this morning, Emily. That's to take take place 1 o' clock there at Mar a Lago. I know we're going to have a camera crew there to bring you the very latest on that. Obviously negotiations on how to approach Iran as we're going forward. Any potential strikes we have with Iran and of course Gaza, the development of Gaza. We've seen some tentative plans rolled out but no details yet. So what is, is the future of Gaza? I think those are two big things.
David Brody
On the President Trump's agenda for the.
Emily Finn
Rest of the year and then we'll see as we go into 2026 how both of these, Ukraine, Russia, Gaza, Iran, all of this, where does it play out in 26? Will we have peace across the board? We all hope and pray that that happens.
David Brody
Yeah. Brian, a quick 30 second follow up. You mentioned Ukraine and Gaza both have a real big concern here. There's a real big concern about US involvement somehow some way in both of these areas or countries going forward. I said country, excuse me, with Gaza not being a country but you know, the areas going forward. I mean this is open ended, this international, what do they call it, stabilization force in Gaza. I mean what in the world, I get it, you want Arab nations to contribute to that, but the US is going to have involvement there. And then of course Ukraine, I mean Zelenskyy wants the economic, this, this Donbass, an economic free zone. Exactly where both Ukrainian and Russian forces pull out. I mean Putin's not gonna have that happen. The point is, is that what's America's role in that? Real concerns here, Brian.
Emily Finn
No, David, you're absolutely right. In this 15 year security guarantee in Ukraine, that's a long time and a.
David Brody
Lot of things can happen.
Emily Finn
And of course you've got all the removal, the rubble in the dead bodies in Gaza. What does that look like?
David Brody
How long does that take and how.
Emily Finn
Many US Forces have to be involved in that? No, these are some great points and.
David Brody
President Trump definitely has a lot to.
Emily Finn
Look at on both these issues moving forward. But we'll have that for you at 1pm today at MAR a Lago. And by the way everybody, I guess I wasn't good enough this year. I did get a lump of coal for Christmas.
David Brody
So I'm going to change perhaps some.
Emily Finn
Of my ways I can better that. Guys, love you.
Dr. Gina
You, back to you.
David Brody
All right, well, we'll pray for you, Brian. Thank you, sir.
Emily Finn
Thank you.
David Brody
All right, coming up, you know, who needs a lump of coal. Minnesota governor Tim Walls actually needs a whole bucket full. He has a lot to answer for after an independent journalist discovered an empty daycare center that reportedly receives millions in taxpayer dollars. How did that happen? Oh well, we have some answers. We thank that story.

Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily Finn. It's great to have you with us this morning. Time now to drain the swamp. And this morning we are flushing out even more fraud in Minnesota. A Minnesota daycare with a misspelled sign and no children inside is now at the center of a growing controversy after reports that it receives millions in taxpayer dollars. Video that's gone viral shows the facility appearing dark, empty and hardly operational. Yet lawmakers say it may have collected up to $4 million in state and federal funds. For more, let's bring in David Brody and Dr. Gina. I mean, Gina, this is just egregious. I mean, it's all I want to say. It's laughable, but it's hard to laugh at fraud like this. It's horrible.
Dr. Gina
If this happened under a Republican governor, heads would be rolling. Every single, it would be above the fold in every single news broadcast and paper across the country to every, I guess we don't really have papers anymore, but you know what I mean. At least David Brody knows what I mean. But the fact that it's happened there just means it's another leftist atrocity, another leftist gross, reprehensible, irresponsible tragedy and exacted on taxpayers. And no one really cares. No one really cares. I am willing to bet nothing happens about this David Brody.
David Brody
No, of course not. And you know, this video we're looking at, you know, this comes from this 42 minute. They call it a documentary, but it's by this 23 year old nick something in Minnesota. This guy's going around exposing all of this like, where are like the adults in charge? Oh, that's right, there are no adults in charge. Especially when it comes to walls, administration. And so, so I think that that's important to understand that no one wants anything done. So they leave it up to a 23 year old YouTuber who has to post this video and Ted Cruz and others. And it's just gotten, it's gone viral across the web because of this, because of what he's doing. And I think that kind of plays to this whole citizen journalism era that we're in. And I'm glad it's. I hope it's not just an era. I hope, I hope it's the wave of the future in a way where you're actually going to the scene and showing what happened rather than just someone in a basement spewing whatever they want to spew. I don't want to see that, but I do want to see the actual evidence and the video evidence. And we're seeing that from this 23 year old YouTuber.
Dr. Gina

All right, welcome back, everybody. The bell at the New York Stock Exchange about to ring in a few minutes. As we wait, let's take a quick look at the futures here. We're going into the future. Ooh, it's not good. I know red and green are Christmas colors, but it's too much red. Don't like it. Dow is down. S and P is down. But hang on, it's just the futures. We'll get the present here in just a moment because right now we're going to have our dose of dollars in common sense. And joining us now with some business news, what you need to know is Rebecca Walsner. She is the president of Walsner Wealth Management. Rebecca, good morning to you. So we've got Treasury Secretary Scott Besant who says Americans are set for this gigantic tax refund next year. And of course, he's crediting President Trump's big beautiful bill. So what do you think? I mean, what can you tell us about what Americans might have on tap? Because they've got to feel something in their wallet to get this thing turned around a little. I say turned around, things are turning around, but it's got to go faster for this administration. Administration. Good morning.
Dr. Gina
Absolutely.
Narrator/Announcer
Good morning, David. Thanks for having me. That's absolutely right. So the one big beautiful bill did have several tax provisions and cuts for Americans. About $144 billion worth of cuts. Child tax care credit, higher salt limitations, car interest, no tax on tips, senior health care deductions. Just a bunch of different things, David, about seven or eight provisions. And so we think it's going to be about $100 billion of actual refunds. And so it's going to increase the average refund about $1,000 and it could go for most Americans anywhere between 1,000 and 2,000. That's the average is about $1,000. So that bill, the reason David, is because it was, it applied to 2025, yet the IRS did not update the withholding tables and did not make any changes to that. So people have basically overpaid because of the bill because effective this year. But they're withholding still being as according to the previous law. And now that's why the refunds will be bigger for 2025.
David Brody
Got it. That's good information. I didn't know much about the refunds and withholding tables in terms of how that all worked out. Okay. So Rebecca, the Wall Street Journal is saying that companies are looking to remain slim through 2026. I guess that's code for less hiring. What do you think? Is that report accurate? What's your sense of how this will work out in the next year?
Narrator/Announcer
Yeah, we started seeing this, David, in about quarter three. We started noticing CEOs and forward guidance basically not talking about hiring or talking about letting go or releasing staff as a, as a positive. And so anytime you start seeing CEOs talk about their non hiring plans, their stability stabilization plans, the reduction of workforce plans as a cost savings benefit, it, you know, and putting our little rose on top like that, like it's a beautiful cherry on top of a sundae that we're eating, that's when you know, yeah. So what's happening? And I don't want to get hyperbolic about this, but the AI that is, that is making the stock market jump and swoon with this K shaped recovery that we're having. At the same time that's happening, jobs are able to be outsourced to algorithms, to programs. And so there is a need maybe if someone resigns, they don't have to to refill that position. And so we're going to start to see in 2026 an impact of, of where we are in the fourth industrial revolution on jobs. And I'm not suggesting there's mass layoffs yet. That's not to come for a while. Implementation is going to be further, much further down the road for that. But we will start to see impact in 2026. Yes.
David Brody
Okay, good to know. I want to talk about Aldi for a moment. Reports show customers are flocking to Aldi due to its lower prices. So is it fair to call Aldi a winner in this so called affordability crisis? Americans are apparently facing Right now, I mean Aldi's always been cheaper on the prices so you know, there is that.
Narrator/Announcer
Yeah, I mean I don't want to endorse Aldi from a perspective of what they say they sell. But you know, the dollar stores, the Aldi's, the no frill supermarkets, the very baseline entry point is, is absolutely doing well. We are, are in what we call a K shaped kind of economy which means the people that have continue to have more and continue to spend more, whereas the, you know, I would say even maybe 60% and below of the total gross GDP, people that are contributing to it, they're really having to tighten their belts, David. They're having to make sure make a dollar go for $2 for $3. And you know that is difficult. The Trump administration is definitely doing things to get prices back in line. The tariff policy has actually really long run helped us and people are seeing that I think now. And it's certainly a lot better than what we expected in April. But it is still a K shaped recovery where the people at the top don't really understand what's going on with the rest of the half of the country or more really. And that's a shame. We have to broaden out the stock market economy to Main street and to, to everyone and make it for about everybody, not just about the upper class.
David Brody
So we have about 30 seconds left. But I'm just curious. The Fed meets Wednesday and got an interest rate decision coming up or decision or non decision. What do you think? You think it's going to go down another quarter point. But here's the thing in GDP growth was through the roof or was much better actually last month. So what do you think? What's going to happen?
Narrator/Announcer
Yeah, this is a very divided Fed. Powell is out in May, Trump's appointment is coming in and I would say that no, they have dry powder. GDP came in high, CPI came in low. And so there is no need for them to cut. Right now we don't have any probability of a cut. It's like less than 20% probability. Will get a 25 bip cut in January. So I think, no, I think they're going to stay paused, keep their powder dry, wait for something bad to happen where they have to get more accommodative again.
David Brody
Got it. Rebecca Walsner, great to have you, great information.

All right. The Dow Jones about to open. The stock market on Wall street about to. We're about to hear the bell. So let's listen in, shall we? We already hear the applause. We'll wait for the bell. I won't talk over it. So standby. It's coming up any moment now. I can just introduce anticipated. Well, I don't know. Oh, there it is. I talked over it anyhow, whatever. It took eight seconds. I couldn't just wait eight seconds. And we're off to the races. All right, the future has now become the present. Let's go to the board. A little less red here. Dow still down, obviously S and P down as well. So we will monitor that throughout the rest of the day. And by the way, I'm looking at gold. Let me take a look. Oh, it's down a little bit. But let me be blunt about gold. All right, so gold is up though, around 40% this year. And that is not speculation, it's reality. And if a portion of your savings isn't diversified into gold, then you're missing the boat. Look, here are the facts. Inflation is still too high, the US dollar still too weak and the government did. Debt is insurmountable. This is why central banks are flocking to gold. They're the ones driving prices up to record high. But look, it's not too late to buy gold from Birch Gold Group and get in the door now. Because Birch Gold will help you convert that existing IRA or the 401k you have into a tax sheltered IRA in gold. You don't pay a dime by the way, out of pocket. Just text America to 989-898 and claim your free info kit. No obligation, just useful information. Look, the best indicator of the future is the past. And gold has historically been a safe haven for millennia. What else can. What else can say that? I mean, it's gold. Gold's the way. Text America to 989-898 right now and you get your free 80 info kit on gold. Once again, text America to 989-898. Protect your future today with Birch Gold. All right. Still to come on American Sunrise. Free speech under fire on America's college campuses. It's been that way for a while, but we've got some new data showing a record number of incidents this year. Students saying they're afraid to speak their minds. We're going to share that with you next after the break. Stay with US.

Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. We thank you for joining us this morning. We invite you to hop on over in our conversation on getter rumble and YouTube. It is now time to take the political pulse of America. Here's the beat today, free speech on college campuses under increasing pressure and the numbers setting off alarms. New data from the foundation for Individual Rights and Expression shows 274 incidents of free speech interference on US campuses. You guys, that's so far this year, 2025, also surpassing the previous high which was set in 2020. Now, free speech advocates say college leaders are failing to do the bare minimum and that university presidents have the power right now to protect students and faculty from censorship, from shutting down student groups to punishing protected opinion. Fire says campus culture is becoming more hostile due to open debate with nearly half of students saying they're afraid to even speak their minds in the classroom. Joining us now with analysis, the host of America's Voice Live and the Steve Gruber Show. Steve Gruber, good morning.
Emily Finn
Good morning, everybody. How are you guys?
Dr. Gina
We're good. We're good. A little tired. I think these holidays are kind of.
Emily Finn
Whoo.
Dr. Gina
But you know, Steve, here's the, here's the big question. How did college go from a place of learning, the marketplace of ideas, right to a place where the First Amendment is going to be slaughtered at every turn.
Emily Finn
Well, you know, look, this, this is leeching out of Europe in many ways. I think you look at Ursula von der Leyen who thinks that free speech is a virus and that censorship is the cure. You look at places like France and Germany and the UK you post something online, they pound on your door at three in the morning and put handcuffs on you and take you off to the, to the Gulag, right? I mean, this is ridiculous. This is happening all over the world. The First Amendment of the United States Constitution is the foundational principle of this country. Free speech, free religion, free gathering, all of that, a redress, agreements. And it's been under attack on college campuses. They have this belief that words are violence. Words are not violence. Getting punched in the nose, that's violence. Just so we have clarification on that. Free speech, vigorous debate. It is the foundational principle of America and we must never abandon it. And when places like the EU threaten free speech, platforms like X or Facebook or Instagram, whatever it is, we must push back vigorously. When they try to to go after and censor American companies for doing what Americans do, which is speak freely and loudly, often, we must push back. And as far as college campuses go, they're a cesspool of this kind of thinking, this leftist thinking, where there is no moral absolution anymore. They've disregarded the Bible, they've disregarded the Word, by the way. Stop in the name of God. I'm about halfway through Charlie Kirk's new book. What a fabulous piece of literature this is. It's fascinating what Charlie wrote before he died. It's a great book. I got it for Christmas about halfway through it. I strongly recommend it for anyone who wants to find a connection to the reality of today, what we deal with when there are no absolutes, just relativism, you know, relativism when it comes to free speech or to moral grounding or all of that. It's a good book to read. I think it's fabulous and I think that it outlines a lot of the symptoms that we see today. We don't have a well educated electorate. As Thomas Jefferson said, we must have to maintain this republic. We don't have a grounding in God, which the founding fathers also knew we must have. We're a Judeo Christian nation. When you lose track of that, when you lose track of what's right and what's wrong and absolutes and absolute truth, you begin to drift. And when you drift, bad things happen. And that includes on college campuses.
David Brody
Very well put, Steve, for sure. Hey, listen, let me ask you about some of these bold comments we heard from the President of Iran over the weekend. I mean, he did this interview published by Iran's state media, so, you know, there's that. But the Iranian president said his country, said his country is at total war with the United States as well as Israel and seemingly all of Europe. So it comes obviously, as President Trump is set to meet with with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today at Mar a Lago. What do you think of those comments exactly? I mean, first of all, we know about the Little Satan and the Great Satan. So I mean, it shouldn't surprise us. But, you know, I'm curious to get your take.
Emily Finn
My take is this. Since 1979, when the Islamic revolution took over and women were forced to wear headdresses and freedom vanished, that's what happens when freedom Vanishes and tyrannical government takes over. Look, they're in a bad position. Their nuclear ambitions did get obliterated by the Trump strikes here earlier this year. That's a fact. They can say otherwise, but we know better. And so they're in the weakest position are the mullahs. The Ayatollah Khamenei and the rest right now are in the weakest position they've been since 1979. There is a popular movement in Iran, and if they had, this is why the Second Amendment is so important here in America. If they were able to go after the, the Islamic State people running that regime, that would have been overrun years ago because they routinely kill 1500, 2000, 20, 500 dissidents a year. You don't agree with the, with the regime in Tehran, they hang you after they torture you, then they kill your family, potentially depending on what you did. So Iran, it's desperate cries of trying to be relative, I guess, relevant. They're not. They're on the decline. They're at the mercy of their people. The people in Iran no longer want to be in bondage. They want to be free. They want to return to where they were prior to 1979 in many ways. Now, the Shah was no, was no wonderful human being. He too was a tyrant. But at least the society at that time was more modern and more freedom and more liberty. And trust me, Iran will say anything at this point because they're in real trouble. But the problem is like a cornered animal, they're dangerous and they could trigger a war with Israel again, which they had a 12 day war earlier this year. So keep an eye on Iran. They're not safe. They're volatile because they are in a corner. And the regime knows that its hold on power is tenuous at best. So we'll see what happens with Netanyahu today. We'll see what the conversation is. But Iran is, has been and will be until this regime concludes, a dangerous entity that, that must be addressed.
Narrator/Announcer
Steve, we do want to turn now to the Supreme Court. Justices are currently considering whether or not President Trump's tariff policies are constitutional. And they're expected to release a ruling on the matter in 2026. Steve, the White House says these tariffs have been a significant source of revenue for the country. What is at stake here?
Emily Finn
Well, you look at the economy as a whole, let's see what's going on here. Inflation at 2.7%, the GDP at 4.3%, the stock market setting all new highs. We'll see a 50,000 mark on the Dow sometime early in 2026. I believe the problem we have in America right now is that the dollar is devaluing. That's why silver hit $80 over the weekend and gold's at 4,500. The dollar is in trouble. But the Supreme Court and these tariffs. I think it's likely the Supreme Court's going to knock down these tariffs, but all they have to do is remache the tariff tariffs, make them more specific and less broad, and they will be put back in place. It'll be a temporary setback, not a permanent one. Remember, all victories in politics are temporary. So don't read too much into the idea that the Supreme Court will take back these tariffs because there's no mechanism to pay back the money anyway. You know, there's this idea from the and this is what's crazy. The Democrats are like, we can't take this money from other countries. We must pay it back. The same countries that charge us massive tariffs for decades, they feel sorry for. As always, ways the Democrats are on the other side of America First. America first means holding our trading partners accountable to the same standards they held us for decades and took advantage of us. Donald Trump's right about that. We've been taken advantage of by the whole world for years. But there are mechanisms here. Do not panic. There will be fine outcomes. On the other side, you have to hone those tariffs in be more specific. And if Congress was smart, they'd give the president the power of the tariffs. You have the House, you have the Senate. Get it done. If you can't get it through the Senate, dump the filibuster. I know David hates that, but I like it. If you can't get these policies done, get rid of the filibuster and ram it down their throats because it's good for America. How about that?
Dr. Gina
And then what do you predict would happen, though, when there's a Democrat administration back in power? Steve?
Emily Finn
Well, if we don't get rid of the filibuster, they will. If they have the House and Senate, it'll happen in the first 24 hours of business.
David Brody
Business.
Emily Finn
They won't mess around with it. They've made that clear before. If not for Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin would have been gone already. The only Democrat I can even foresee that would stand in the way is John Fetterman, believe it or not, of ending the filibuster. On the Democrats side, they're all in lockstep. They're all far left and they're getting farther left. I mean, you look at the people that are running for Senate on the Democrat side, like Jasmine Crockett, these people, they don't care about anything except power and power. I guess that's the two things. Power and power. Money, money, money. Excuse me, but money comes with power. I mean, look at it. I mean, you look at these people enriching themselves massively all day long, every day at our expense because they have inside information. So they buy stocks, sell stocks, enrich themselves. That should also be illegal, by the way. Blatantly illegal.
David Brody
Yeah.
Emily Finn
I mean, the fact that Nancy Pelosi didn't become worth $150 million and beating the S&P 500 by thousands of percentage points by playing fair or square or honest for that matter. I've always thought that any law that applies to you or to me should apply to Congress first and then the rest of us, you know, and they have a lot of things that don't apply to them but apply to us. It's never been right. Should never be that way. That should be reform number one. One. Number one.
David Brody
Well, I think what's going to end up happening is even if the Republicans do it or don't do it, you're right, the Democrats will do it. And I just think it's going to be a tit for tat thing. So in other words, isn't it anyway. Right. No, I'm agreeing with you. No, I mean, I'm agreeing with you in the principle of it. I mean, I understand where you're coming from. Look, bottom line is if they get rid of the filibuster, Democrats are just going to one up that them when they get in control. In other words, there's some sort of parliamentary moves that they can do that we don't even know of at this point that are somewhere buried in this Senate rules.
Emily Finn
Yeah, yeah. The big Supreme Court case that I'm watching is not the tariffs case. It's the case on Louisiana. When it comes to redistricting in Louisiana, because they say it's based on race, you can't do. If the supreme rules properly on that, it would swing 12 or more seats to the Republicans. The question is, will states like Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana be prepared if that decision is handed down in late June to apply it to the midterm elections? If they're smart, they will. That way Republicans hang on to the House. If they're not ready to go. That's a mistake by Republicans again, like the Republicans in Indiana failing to do what they should have done, which is reduce district in my estimate. And so Republicans are going to pick up more seats, especially with that Supreme Court decision on redistricting because you cannot base it on race. You can't. You just can't. And so we'll see how that case plays out.
David Brody
Yeah.

Trump calling him a con man on cnn, Crockett ran through the usual script. Tariffs, checks, high prices, and declared voters are finally waking up. You have to take a look at this. I mean, I think that people are understanding that it's not good to have a con man as the commander in chief. And people are frustrated because they know that the cost of everything is going up. When you're losing the method message, you attack the messenger. That's the team. For more, let's bring in Dr. Gina and David Brody. David, I am never surprised when we have to spill some tea. And it's Jasmine Crockett as the topic. She is just man, so much content out of her.
David Brody
Yeah, she's the ultimate teabag. There's no doubt about it. She's also win bag. But that's too. That's a separate issue. Look, so a couple of things. First of all, let me just get to the main point, which is the this Donald Trump is not conning anybody, okay? MAGA and Donald Trump have been synonymous ever since he glided down the golden escalator. And here's why. Because Trump, no matter what you think of him, and let's be honest, we're not just talking about liberals, we're talking about even people in MAGA who sometimes go, oh my gosh, Wait, what? He's authentic and he loves America and that is not a conjure job, okay? He authentically has been saying the same things for 40 plus years, Gina, whether it be on Phil Donahue or Oprah Winfrey or on David Letterman, it doesn't matter. He loves this country. There's no con in that whatsoever. Is he a salesman in terms of hyperbole? Yes. As a matter of fact, Donald Trump's own words. He talks about hyperbole being a good weapon to use to rally the Trump troops. Nothing wrong with that. That's called strategy. Not being a con man.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. Isn't Donald Trump kind of the opposite? I mean, you could criticize Donald Trump and there may be some legitimate criticisms, but con man is really. It just doesn't hold any water. I mean, as you said, David, he's literally the most authentic politician we've ever had at the national level before. And this, by the way, coming from a trial attorney who has made millions and millions of dollars off the backs of small business people suing them for stupid stuff. So. Meaning Jasmine Crockett, of course. Also, isn't she the one that said some random dead girl referencing a minor that was kidnapped across our borders. I mean, she is the most inauthentic person in the world.
Emily Finn

All right, welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. It's time now for our sunny side up and a little, little spirit of America. This morning. From the icy Atlantic to a standing ovation in Massachusetts, dozens of people took a freezing plunge into the ocean to raise money for ALS patients and research, all in honor of Pete Fraitz, who passed away six years ago. And in New York, 1.04-year-old. Here we go. World War II veteran Dominic Cratelli bought an arena, brought an arena to its feet. Here we go. With a saxophone rendition of the national anthem, sparking a huge USA chant. Take a listen.
David Brody
Ladies and gentlemen, Staff Sergeant Dominic Crotilli.
Dr. Gina
Warm hearts, cold waters. Emily. Beautiful, beautiful things happening over this season of holiness.
Narrator/Announcer
Absolutely. That was awesome to see. It makes me think of my. My grandfather who passed away this year. He was turned 100 this year. Year he was a veteran as well. And it's just so awesome to see the joy on their faces. You know, they sacrifice so much to be able to protect us and make Americans safe every day. And to be able to see him honored like that is just incredible.
David Brody
Yeah. You know, my wife, my wife, excuse me, my son and I go to Washington capital's hockey games often. We have season tickets and the loudest ovation. Every single game is not for the hockey team. It's for the veterans. Veterans who the team celebrates every single game. And when they honor a veteran, the whole crowd, 19,500 people, stand to their feet and just clap uncontrollably. Doesn't matter. They're not checking to say, you know, this veteran's a liberal, this veteran's a conservative. No, you are a veteran who served our country proud and are a patriot. And the fact that 19,500 people would stand every single time a veteran is honored in the middle of the second period hockey break, you know, while you have better things to do. No, you don't have better things to do.
Narrator/Announcer
No.
David Brody
Get off your feet and applaud. And that's exactly what my son and I do and 19,000 other folks do. And it's just wonderful to see and we do thank them for their service. I love it.
Dr. Gina
Absolutely. Absolutely. The only good note on the whole veteran thing until terms of suicide is it's down over Christmas and Thanksgiving months, which surprised me. We talked about it last week. But that's really good news. That's really good news. And I think honestly, seeing our borders secured has had to have helped a little bit with that because, you know, when they think about what they fought for and to see some of that restored in this golden age, as it were, I think has got to be a little bit heartening to the them anyway. They deserve it. They deserve it. All the accolades. All right, you guys. Well, we will see everybody tomorrow because war room is coming up next. Hug your children, love God, go boldly now. Live the truth. We'll see you then.
David Brody
Bye, everybody.
