Benjamin, where do negotiations stand on Hamas disarming? We have coverage throughout the show. Plus Iran's new messaging. The country says it is in a full scale war with the United States, Israel and with Europe. Where will this ultimately go? We have expert analysis ahead. And later, protecting the unborn, how Senate Republicans are pushing for tighter abortion restrictions in a deal to extend Obamacare subsidies. Where will this end up? We have those stories and more as American Sunrise starts right now.
D
Good morning America.
A
Welcome to American sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you. Politics.
D
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida. We've got you covered. This is what it looks like to be a patriot. We have to protect the American family.
A
The American dream is still, still alive.
D
I'm David Brody. I'm terrence.
A
And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning, everybody. I'm Dr. G. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in Emily Finch. She's right here with me in West Palm. And also joining us today, Brian Glynn in for David Brody. Terrence has the week off. And lookie there, lookie there. We have Brian Glynn between us. Emily, this is awesome. How blessed. Good to have you.
C
Great to have Brian with us.
D
Yeah, I am so happy to hang out with you guys. When I get a phone call at 4am in the morning says, hey, can we jump on American Sonomats? I'm like, heck, yeah. I'm not surprised that I'm up at 4am But I do want to wish David Brody the very best and congratulations on all that's going on.
A
Yes. I guess we're sharing what's going on with David Brody and that is that he is having a new grandbaby today. So we're very excited for him. Yes, very sweet. All right, you guys. Well, listen, Trump and Bibi met at Mar a Lago and discussed a lot of things, including Hamas, Iran. And Trump said the meeting was very productive. Take a listen.
D
We had a big meeting with a lot of people, a lot of talent from Israel and from the US And I think we came to a lot of conclusion, a lot of conclusion and conclusions and there's very little difference in what we're looking at and where we want to be, where we want to go. And so I just want to thank you for spending time. I know you're going to be over here for a couple of days and maybe we'll be surprising us on New Year's Eve. That will be fine. Well, thank you. And it's wonderful seeing you and Sarah and your whole group. Very talented group. We've done very good work together and it'll continue.
A
Yeah, I don't know, Emily, did you have any takeaway from that other than Trump looks like he's enjoying his time here in Palm Beach a little. A little more. More weather friendly.
C
Weather friendly. He has certainly had, you know, after the Zelinsky meeting as well. Certainly had a lot of high profile people at Mar a Lago recently. And I will say, you know, it was good to see him meeting with Netanyahu. Obviously a lot going on over in Israel. So I don't know if there was too much to take away from all of that. Brian, what was your takeaway?
D
Well, two things. It sounded like he jogged to that press conference. He seemed a little out of breath there. And also we now know that he's coming back for New Year's Eve. So perhaps Bibi will be there at Mar a Lago to celebrate the new year. So that's which is great.
A
Yeah, very interesting. Lots of high profile people hanging around there. And I guess we'll just. To be continued. God only knows who's going to show up at Mar a Lago next, right guys? All right, listen, let's get to today's Bible verse. It's from Second Corinthians today, verse 5:17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new, perfect entree into the new year. And as we have been covering, President Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar a Lago, urged Hamas to disarm. Here's what he said don't forget we.
D
Made the plan possible by taking out Iran. And speaking of Iran, I hope they're not trying to build up again because if they are, we're going to have no choice but very quickly to eradicate that buildup. So I hope Iran is not trying to build up, as I've been reading that they're building up weapons and other things. And if they are, they're not, they're not using the sites that we obliterated, but they're using possibly different sites. We know exactly where they're going, what they're doing, and I hope they're not doing it because we don't want to waste the fuel on a B2 to 37 hour trip both ways. I don't want to waste a lot of fuel.
A
Brian Also, we still do have one hostage, I believe, right. Who hasn't been returned. So what are your predictions as we head straight into the new year?
D
Yeah, well, Dr. Gina, I think those are very strong words by President Trump is warning Iran to not even think about getting into this nuclear armed weapon race that they supposedly was involved in and even said that we've given them the opportunity to negotiate to basically take the deal. And they didn't do that the first time, therefore, that that bomber went over there and did what they did with Midnight Hammer. And he's just kind of threatening that if they move anywhere near that direction, then that's what's going to happen again. Now, I will argue now and I want viewers to hear me out on this. This is not necessarily what MAGA voted for in the election. No new wars. And I certainly don't want to see us get into a war with Iran on behalf of Israel. And I think that's what a lot of people from what I'm reading online want to make sure we don't do. Now granted, we don't need Iran does not need to have a nuclear weapon. We can all agree on that. But this continuation of this threat that we must continue to attack Iran, I don't think sits well with the base.
A
Dr. Gina yeah, well, I hear you on that and I certainly do hear MAGA and America first out there. It isn't part of what maybe they think they bargained for. Emily, do you have some headlines for us? I do.
C
Brian want to talk about the war going on in Ukraine. This USA Today headline, russia says that Ukraine tried to attack Putin's residents. Zelensky is denying this claim. Zelensky says that Russia is undermining peace talks. Trump said that he is Mad if the strike is true, if they did in fact attack Putin's residents. Your take on all of this, Brian, what can you tell us?
D
Yeah, Emily, I don't really know who to believe. I mean, Putin's claims his house was struck. Zelensky said that's not true. We've seen this ping pong match go back and forth on claiming that they've struck, you know, someone's house or an office building or something like that. Look, it's war. We want it to stop. President Trump has said numerous times that he'll do anything possible to end this war that's killing literally tens of thousands of people a month in this conflict. Now, I do think, though, going into, let's just say, Q1 of next year, specifically in January, we will see a meeting, a trilateral meeting between Putin, Zelensky and Trump probably at the White House sometime in January. Hopefully we can end this conflict. But right now it's he said, she said, and I gotta tell, tended to believe that perhaps Zelensky did strike near Putin's home. I can't. It's war. I can't believe that that would be something that he would obviously not do.
A
Well, we know that Congress is racing against, against a critical funding deadline. Emily and Brian. Lawmakers are struggling to pass spending legislation to keep the federal government open. House leaders and senators are at odds over how to extend that funding with disagreements on, of course, key policy riders and appropriations that could spark a government shutdown. I can't believe we're back to that conversation again. That of course, if no deal is reached. Now, both sides say they want to avoid interrupting services, but negotiations are pretty contentious as this deadline approaches. Emily, what are your predictions? What's going to happen as we enter into January?
C
You know what, Gina? I think that Congress is going to stay the same. There probably will be, you know, a bunch of deadlines missed and prolonged. The government shutdown conversation is not going away anytime soon, I think, Brian.
D
Yeah, I agree, Emily. And they return on January 6th. And I was just checking my dates here. They've got 12 legislative days to get these appropriations passed before January 30th. The Senate is out for a week during that period as well, so is Congress. Ironically, they come back and then they go out for a week. So they really got get down to business here. Speaker Johnson's got to make sure that he gets the conference all on the same page, marching forward. And remember, we still have those ACA credits expire at the end of the month as well. So we've Got a lot of work to do. It seems like to me they could have taken less time off in August and the government shutdown hurt us as well. But we'll find out what happens. It all starts on January 6th, I think.
A
So many of us, I don't know, I sit here and I listen to this conversation. I think really, really we're debating spending still. I don't know, it just seems to me like at some point you have to draw the line. You've got to start paying down the debt. But there's no real conversation of that, Brian.
D
There isn't. There isn't any conversation about. It's look what they did with Doge. They pretty much shut Doge down. And when Doge came in very hot, if you look, I was just looking at and Axios has a wonderful graph on what stories got the most attention this past year. It's on my Twitter, Ryan Glenn tv, check it out. But they Doge came in really hot the first quarter of the year and just fell off. Why? Because they got rid of it. They really stopped looking into getting rid of the waste, fraud, abuse and reducing these budgets. So we just kind of went back to normal. But Dr. Gina, you're right. Until we start cutting budgets and we really start and start paying down the debt and quit spending and quit giving hundreds of millions of dollars, if not billions to foreign countries, we don't have the money. This does not end well. We. Look, you don't need to be a mathematician to figure out what's going to happen when we go fast forward 10 years from now when Social Security basically bankrupts itself. Our national debt is $50 trillion and businesses have basically in certain aspects, gone away with the replacement of other industries. So, Dr. Gina, we're in a tight situation right now. I just want Congress to get down to business and fight for the American people.
A
Emily, what are the optics with Trump having Zelensky and Netanyahu Mar a Lago, it's all very fancy. And then we go straight into the new year, January 6, talking about spending more money. What happened? How does that play from a PR perspective for Trump?
C
Well, there is certainly, certainly a lot to do going into the new year for this administration. But Brian, I'm so happy that you brought up Doge. What happened to Doge? We have to bring that back. We absolutely have to bring that back. And you know what's interesting? I've been, you know, obviously Trump has been having so many high profile people at Mar A Lago. I wonder if Elon Musk is going to be making a comeback. I've been hearing, Brian, that he has been financially backing a lot of the same candidates that Trump likes for the upcoming midterm elections. Have you been hearing anything about the relationship between those two? Have they mended any, any of their ties?
D
Well, you know, they have seen been with in the same room since the breakup a couple times actually at the White House. But I've not had any reports that he's been at Mar a Lago, at least that hasn't been reported publicly. But I do think if you don't think Elon Musk is going to get back into the campaign mode of dumping, I would say a lot of, a lot of money in some of these candidates and some of these races. I think he's, I think he hit it around yesterday. I'll dig in the break to find out which one. But he's going to be very active with President Trump, I would imagine.
A
Here's juicy. Watch for it. Tucker Carlson for president. And what if Elon got behind him for funding? That would make some headlines, right?
D
Let's just, we could just float the rest of the show and talk about that almost. We could.
A
All right, you guys. Coming up, we check out the hottest headlines from the RAV newsroom with Emily. And also later, mixed signals on Iran missiles. One report says tests are being conducted while others deny it. Where does everything stand? We're going to get to the bottom of it. American Sunrise continues after this.

Our top stories this morning. Russia has accused Ukraine of launching a massive drone strike on President Vladimir Putin's residents, claiming nearly 100 long range drones were intercepted. Moscow calls the incident state terrorism and says it could harden its position in peace talks. But Ukraine has fiercely denied the claim, with officials calling it false and saying no such attack took place. Ukraine says Russia is using the accusation to justify further military action and undermine diplomatic efforts. There are no independent verifications of the alleged drone attack and no damage or casualties have been reported. Meanwhile, a Utah judge has ordered the release of a redacted transcript and audio from a previously closed October hearing in the high profile case of Tyler Robinson, who is accused of killing Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. The hearing addressed courtroom security, including whether Robinson should be shackled or allowed to wear civilian clothing during proceedings and whether cameras should be permitted inside the courtroom. Judge Tony Graf ruled that Robinson may wear regular clothes but must remain restrained and barred media from broadcasting images of his restraints to avoid prejudging potential jurors. Prejudicing potential jurors. Robinson, who is facing multiple counts, including aggravated murder, and face the death penalty, attended Monday's hearing by audio link. A future hearing will address a defense motion to ban cameras in court. Also, two more performers are canceling upcoming appearances at the Kennedy Center. A jazz band called the Cookers were slated to perform to the tomorrow night but canceled the appearance. The band did not specifically say why, but their statement hinted at politics being the reason. Also, Christy Lee canceled her performance scheduled for January 14th and said losing integrity would cost more than losing a paycheck. This comes after Chuck Red canceled his Christmas Eve concert at the Kennedy center as well. All right. We do want to check in. Joining us now for today's weather forecast is Weather Nation, Tracy Anthony. Tracy, good morning to you. Always great to see you. For all of you watching right now, if you see this at the bottom of your screen, make sure that you scan that QR code and join the Weather NATION family. Tracy, what can you tell us is in the forecast today? Hey, good morning.
D
Yeah.
C
Across the nation, we're relatively calm and quiet. But we've got a few trouble spots and that's around the Great Lakes.
A
Look at this. This was Buffalo, New York, yesterday.
C
We've had a powerful system roll on through and it's kicking up a good amount of lake effect snow. So this system is dumping feet of lake effect snow on areas between Cleveland.
B
Buffalo, but even Michigan.
C
So impressive snow will continue. What swings in on the backside of this is some very cold temperatures. And we're expecting cold temperatures to reach all the way down to the Gulf Coast. So if you notice areas like Mobile, Alabama, under cold weather advisories, so those are in place for the day today. And then we're expecting Wednesday morning to be even colder.
A
So we're expecting to even feel some.
C
Of that cold air here in West Palm Beach, Emily. So brace for that. It's not going to be as brutal as the north, but we're talking overnight temperatures down in the 40s. And hey, for me that means bundle up. Bundle up for sure. As Dr. Gina and I always say, that's when we start seeing the iguanas falling out of trees here in West Palm Beach.
A
Exactly.
C
Tracy, thank you so much. We will see you in the next hour with our lucky hometown forecast selection. So definitely stay tuned and make sure you scan that QR code. Thanks again, Tracy. All right. Coming up next, President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed what measures need to be taken against Iran. What does this mean for the region? We have expert analysis coming up next. But first, a quick look at today in history. It's on this date in 2006 that justice caught up with former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. He was executed by hanging after being convicted of crimes against his own people. Hussein had ruled Iraq for nearly 25 years, maintaining power through fear, torture and political repression. His execution came after a lengthy trial and was seen by many as a symbolic end to a brutal regime, marking a defining moment in Iraq's post dictatorship history. American Sunrise. We'll be right back.

See specially marked Valpak envelopes for details. All right, welcome back to American Sunrise. President Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida. And a key topic of conversation was Iran, a country that has declared war on both the United States and Israel. In the face of that, Trump warned the Islamic Republic not to rebuild its nuclear weapons program. Take a look at this.
D
And speaking of Iran, I hope they're not trying to build up again because if they are, we're going to have no choice but very quickly to eradicate that build up. So I hope Iran is not trying to build up, as I've been reading, that they're building up weapons and other things. And if they are, they're not. C
For expert analysis, let's bring in the deputy director of the U.S. national Council of Resistance of Iran, Alireza Jeffrezada. Thank you so much for joining us. Want to get your reaction to that meeting with the president and Netanyahu, but also want to ask you about the protests happening in Iran.
D
Thank you so much, first of all, for having me on your show. And I know we have a couple more days left, but happy New Year to everybody. Certainly the concern that the world has about the Iranian regime is widespread. It's focused on both the missile, their nuclear program, their drone program. But you ask the people of Iran, they have the big problem with the entirety of this regime. They see the regime responsible for any kind of misery, economic hardship, repression, and any shortcomings of the nation. They hold the regime responsible. Imagine you lose the value of currency, about half of the value in just a few weeks. And in compared to the day that the ayatollahs came to power. At that time, eight Tumans would get you a dollar. Right now, it's 150,000 Tumans get you a dollar. What a disaster. And that economic hardship is translating into protests. Today is the third day of these protests that started in Tehran with the business sector, but expanded to other cities. The students in various universities have joined saying death to the dictator, death to the theocracy ruling Iran. And there were signs saying death to the oppressor, being the shah or the supreme leader, making it very clear to the outside world but to the rest of the population that the Iranian people don't want any form of dictatorship. They will not tolerate the mullahs and they seek change. That's the new reality of Iran that we have been seeing in the past few years. And that needs to be kept in mind whenever you talk about their nuclear program or weapons program or their missile program. Keep in mind that the vast majority of the nuclear sites of Iran were exposed by the main Iranian opposition, the ncri, including Natanz and Fordo. And that's why they represent the voices of the people of Iran who reject Tehran's warmongering and development nuclear weapons.
A
Al Araza, tell us about the Iranian people because I think so often we get so caught up in the geopolitics that we forget the culture, the people, and really the sort of daily lives and suffering under such a regime. Tell us about it.
D
Well, you know, doctor, you know, the Iranian population are very vibrant, very well educated population. We have thousands of years of history and culture. Iran was leading in medicine, in science, and you name it. And now under the, you know, the past hundred years, there have been a big drive by the population rejecting the dictatorships ruling Iran because they see that as a problem for the progress of the nation. First it was the Shah who was very repressive, had the secret police SAVAK and putting intellectuals in jail and declaring a single party rule. People threw the Shah out and then the ayatollahs stole the leadership of a genuine revolution. And people are now revolting for the past few years against this regime. So you have a society that is very much in need and striving for democracy and human rights. And they're fighting the Ayatollahs, you know, and tens of thousands of political prisoners have been executed by the Iran regime with the hope of putting the revolt down. None of that worked just this year in 2025, we still have a couple more days. Over 2,000 executions announced by the Iran regime. This is much higher than anything else in the past few years. Yet you see, the public doesn't settle. They're not fearful and they want change. Interestingly, this regime is very misogynist. But the leader of the opposition is a woman, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, who has introduced a 10 point platform for the future of Iran that says legitimacy comes only from the ballot box. And Calls for separation of religion and state, equality for men and women, free market economy and peace in the Middle east and a non nuclear republic form of government. That's the desire of the Iranian people.
C
That's awesome.

Doesn't seem that off base to me. Real quickly, let's talk about this. Ballistic missiles. Iran is sending mixed signals about its ballistic missile program. A state linked outlet claims that the tests were being carried out by official media denied any activity on this. This comes amid Israeli Israeli concerns that Tehran could be rebuilding its missile capabilities after this past conflicts and ahead of the key diplomatic talks with US leaders. Israel warns that the missile threat remains a serious security issue even as Iran maintains its defensive and non negotiable. How concerning is this? You know, the Iranian regime has been spending a whole a host of money and resources and experiments over the past at least three decades on their missile program. The regime realized, and Khamenei realized that the only way that they can survive is number one developing nuclear weapons. And part and parcel of the nuclear weapons is their missile program that is both used for carrying nuclear weapons but also threatening their neighbors. And that's why a huge portion of the Iranian budget is spent on their missile program. The most advanced part of the industry in Iran is actually the missile program of the Iran regime that is jointly pursued by the Minister of Defense and the Revolutionary Guards. So certainly, you know, this is a main concern both for the people of Iran because they see that as a means for the survival of the regime, but also the countries in the region. I think until the last day of the mullahs you will see spending more time and money and resources on their missile program. Remember, the root cause of these protests is economy because of the inflation. That money doesn't go to the people, it's all allocated to the military. Part of the structure of the Iran regime. This year's budget, which will be the next year as they propose, shows a high rise in the defense budget when the people are actually getting poorer and poorer. Remember, Iran is not a poor country. We have the second largest oil and gas reserves combined in the world. But 80% of the population live below the poverty line. Where does the money go? It goes to the missile program, to the proxy groups and their nuclear weapons program.

All right. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining, joining us. Time now for today's Health News, sponsored by the Wellness Company and under the microscope. Today, we want to keep you healthy during flu season. It is upon us. I know. My son called from Ohio, said they all got it over Christmas. Health officials are urging people to take simple steps to protect themselves during this flu season. You know about washing hands? I don't have to tell you that, so I'm not going to. But just making sure that the less you touch your face, face, your eyes, your nose, your mouth, of course, the more you're cutting down on germs, especially if you're traveling on the airlines. You want to make sure. Or on buses or whatever, wherever you're traveling, trains, planes, automobiles, just try not to touch your face. That's just a good rule of thumb. No matter what. Masks, though, not going to help. Don't be one of those I won't say the word, but you know what they are and you know you want to try to stay home if you are feeling sick. But sometimes that can be tough, especially with Christmas travel, holiday travel. Remember that things like countertops, doorknobs, gas tanks, gas pumps, very, very full of viruses, very, very high viral load on those surfaces. So try not to touch those as well. And if you do touch them, don't think that an antibacterial is the same thing as washing your hands. It isn't. And in fact, antibacterials kill gut bacteria which can help keep you healthy. So it's much better if you can to get to some soap and water. And again, antibacterials can kill gut bacteria. So you don't want to use an antibacterial unless you know that you've been in contact with the bacteria. And of course, the flu virus is not a bacteria, it's a virus. Which is also why you should never just take antibiotics only for a virus. Those antibiotics are over prescribed. Today we're going to see what we can break down further as we talk to the CEO of the Wellness Company, Dr. Peter Gillooly. Dr. Peter Gillooli what are the biggest things that has happened in our culture? And I know the wellness company doesn't make this mistake, but my gosh, I hear it all the time. I think I'm coming down with the flu. I'm going to go get antibiotics. Now there's a time where antibiotics are warranted. Right. On a secondary infection. They're not warranted just for a virus, especially not just a cold virus. Right. Can you explain to customers, to patients rather as they would be and customers, I guess in your case, when is the appropriate time to request an antibiotic from your physician?
D
Yeah. Fundamentally, viruses and flus are like cats and dogs. So the antibiotics are primarily used for bacterium. So these are small single celled organisms that kind of grow, grow in infections and wounds. They can be both inside your body and typically on skin wounds. So we all have had skin infections and taken something like Neosporin. Viruses are a different beast. Viruses are small particles, they're not quite cells. There's even some debate among scientists whether or not you would consider them a living organism. But they reproduce by implanting their own DNA into your cells and hijacking the cellular reproduction routes to duplicate.
B
So that's why we have two very.
D
Different separate classes of drugs in order to address viruses versus bacteria, antibiotics versus antivirals.
A
Yeah. And it's really important because if we over continue to Overuse antibiotics, then their efficacy is minimalized. Correct?
D
Correct. Look, antibiotics not only kill bacteria in your body, but they will also harm your microbiome. As you pointed out in the intro, that's not good. So typically, we actually recommend when you take antibiotics, that you have some probiotics on hand in your home, and after you finish your antibiotic course, you actually take some probiotics while you're recovering in order to repopulate your gut floor. As you pointed out, the gut microbiome is a big determinant of our health. It helps everything from digestion to mental health. And keeping that strong is going to be very important.
A
Okay, and how do we do that? This is so important, this prevention. An ounce of prevention, as grandma said. Right. But it really is the truth, because there are times where you're not going to be able to not come in contact with the flu virus. Right. If you're traveling, you're toast. You know, you go places maybe you don't have. You don't want to use a gas station bathroom, but you got to pump your gas. What are some just common sense measures we can take for prevention?
B
Don't wear a mask.
D
It's not Halloween.
A
Thank you.
D
It's all about good hygiene. Gina, you pointed out common things that people already know about, like washing their hands, plenty of sleep. Make sure you get a lot of vitamin D and zinc. These really help boost your immune system. One thing that we recommend are nasal sprays and throat washes. Yes, we all practice good hygiene. Washing our hands, taking a shower, brushing our teeth. But we really don't think about our sinuses. That's where viruses incubate. So the second you're feeling symptoms from an illness, the virus has probably been incubating in your sinal, in your nasal cavity for anywhere from 24 to 36 hours. Right. And you can help really disrupt that process by really washing your sinuses out. We recommend using a nasal and throat spray twice a day, just like brushing your teeth. So morning and night, it helps flush out those viruses so they can't implant themselves in your nasal cavity and they can't get you sick.
A
And you mentioned vitamin D and zinc, which I'm a huge advocate of. I fought off the flu now, by the way, three times already this year. Felt it coming, knew it was coming, thought I was toast. And those are the things I do in our prevention kit from the Wellness Company. The other thing I do is 5000 IUs of vitamin C and lemon water as a fast where I don't eat anything, I Don't drink anything else. I just lemon water and I actually put cayenne in it. But do you have any other recommendations for people if they feel like they're coming down with it?
D
That's super important. So you hit the high notes right there in terms of supplementation. Cd, zinc. If you can get a zinc supplement with quercetin in it, that's also very important because that helps deliver zinc to the cells. We also recommend having one of our kits on hand. Look, the first time that you need to be taking medication is not days and days after you fell ill. It's about early treatment. So if you're really feeling sick and you know it's coming, that's when you want to start treating symptoms. The time you can really prevent a serious illness from occurring is in that first 24 hour window. Because if you let it linger and you try to ride it out in bed, that's when really bad situations happen. So that's why we give people our medical emergency kits. So you have medications on hand to treat quickly at home. No one wants to go spend their weekend or New Year's in an emergency room or urgent care when all you.
B
Need was a simple antiviral from the wellness company.
A
Yeah. And if you do fight it off and you still come down with it, you're likely going to get a milder version. That's why having these medical emergency kits with all the guidebooks and everything on hand is the doctor Peter Gillooly. I just called you doctor again. I always want to call you that. He's the CEO. He is not a doctor, but he is amazing to come on here and extremely knowledgeable and frankly, more knowledgeable than 9/10 of regular doctors out there these days who have been trained in Rockefeller medicine. Because you're above that and beyond that. Peter Gillooly, thank you so much for everything the wellness company does. And Happy New Year to you.
D
Thank you and Happy New Year and Healthy New Year.
A
Right? All right, you guys. Doctors have warned this year's flu season is going to be rough. And even mainstream media outlets are reporting that a new, more virulent and severe flu strain is spreading fast here in the U.S. the kicker though, the already ineffective, ineffective flu vaccine is even less effective this year. So what the mainstream media will not tell you is that Dr. Peter McCullough warned about all of this weeks ago. That's why we trust the wellness Company's two step approach. Step one, you guys, prevention through immune defense, nasal and throat sprays. As Peter Glooley just mentioned. These are used daily to help support your body's first line of defense. This is right where viruses enter so that you just neutralize them on the spot. STEP 2 you guys early treatment Through Contagion Emergency Kit this is physician prescribed antiviral treatment so you can start early if you feel it coming on and you're not stuck in long lines shelling out big dollars at urgent care over the holidays. Because that's tragic. Get prepared right now. TWC Health RAV. That's where you go. Use promo code RAV. That'll save you 10%. Click TWC Health RAV. Get ahead of this flu season with the proper treatment and prevention program from the Wellness Company's Immune Defense Sprays and Contagion Emergency Kit. Use code wrap to save 10% all right, you guys. Coming up, the Somali scam that drained millions meant for vulnerable children. This is an irritating one. This is the latest fraud exploding in guess where. Minnesota. And we're going to talk about it. The FBI warrants this is the tip of the iceberg. You guys stay with us.

All right, welcome back to American Sunrise. It's time to stay awake, not woke. And while Democrats were busy virtue signaling, Minnesota was being cleaned out. For weeks, we've been tracking a broken system. Today, one of its ugliest scams blows wide open. Phantom child care centers, millions in federal cash, empty buildings, misspelled signs, no children, no services. The FBI confirms this is part of a much bigger investigation. Warning past arrests are just the tip of a very large ice Governor Tim Wall says he's cracking down, but his team's already talking about turning the page. This is what woke govern. Governance looks like ideology over oversight. And it's why President Trump is coming, for accountability. This isn't a headline. It's a red alert. Let's bring in Dr. Gina and Brian Glenn. Brian, I thought it was awesome that the, the, the, the young kid, the independent journalist who uncovered all of this. I mean he was just him and his iPhone walking up to this leering center as we see doesn't even, you know, have a spelling right. How unbelievable, Brian.
D
You know, I'm really surprised, Emily, that the local media there in that city and across Minnesota has not. This has not been the lead story on their local page. Maybe it was.
A
Are you really, though?
C
B.
A
Are you really, though.
D
Well, you know, and what's interesting to find out is how many other states that this is taking place. I've often questioned why Somalis that come from the most warmest region of the world. Of the world, go to a state in our country with the lowest, you know, coldest temperature. Why is there a connection there? Why? Because there's money involved. What other states is this going on? I think we need to look into.
A
It, follow the money trail. We've said it before, we'll say it again. Right, Brian? No, I think you're absolutely right. This is, you know, look, I want to see the book thrown at these people, especially the political criminal actors. And I really hope. I really hope that the DOJ is on this. You know, there are people out there. James o' Keefe type citizen journalist, hat tip. Andrew Breitbart. I started with him back in. That's where I started. That's where I started in news was with Andrew. Andrew brought me on to his. At the time, there was big journalism, big politics, all the different bigs, and they consolidated, of course, as you know. But he's the one who taught me that I am as powerful with my iPhone as any. So quote, unquote, J school trained investigator, you know, as a result of this. Brian, you make a great point. They don't do it anymore. I mean, you'll have your guy that goes to city hall and stands out there in front, the local news guy with a ask question. But you don't really have the investigative reports anymore. Everybody's just gotten lazy. It's expensive. It costs a lot of production. News outlets don't want to fund it, so they've just handed it off to the citizen journalist with the iPhone. And guess what? It's had pretty strong impact, Brian, because they're everywhere. Yeah.
D
Now, if I can quickly point out Tom Emmer, congressman from Minnesota, has held chairman of the Somali Caucus. Didn't even know that existed. He's defended Somalis and their ability to stay and be a part of the state and has defended them. Now he's calling them to be obviously deported, which I think is the right decision. But my point is also this. This money that has been funneled into these businesses, I guarantee you, has gone back into Democratic pockets and perhaps Republican pockets as well. So it's nothing but money laundering and that's why your elected officials haven't said anything before.
C
I had no idea the Somali caucus even existed. Is there an Irish caucus? An Ireland caucus? I hope.
D
I will look that up. I will look that up.
C
All right, Coming up on American Sunrise, a political fight and a moral choice, Obamacare funding and the sanctity of life. Our moment of faith is up next.

God bless the usa. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
A
All right. Welcome back to American Sunrise. It is now time for our mom's daughter Faith, brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God bless the USA Bible. In Focus Today, a moral standoff in Washington, D.C. republicans demanding stronger protections for the unborn as a condition for extending Obamacare funding, while Democrats call it a non starter even as millions could face higher health care costs if no deal is reached. But this debate goes far beyond politics. It's about whether taxpayer dollars should ever be tied to killing babies. Joining us now, Father Frank Pavone, the absolutely courageous director, Priests for Life. Oh wow, Father, you just have to fight it at every angle, don't you? Sometimes I feel.
D
Oh yeah.
A
In a moment like this, what do we demand of leaders? Life is on the line. And how important is this? Tell us exactly what they're trying to do and what difference it'll make in the lives of babies, the most innocent in our society.
D
Yeah. Well, first of all, I thought they were the other side always said abortion was a personal, private choice, but now they want us to pay for it. They've always wanted us to pay for it. We've always had to pay for it in one extent or another. Where is the personal, private part of that? They want it very public. With the government funding this secondly, constitutional issue, the fact that abortion is still legal in many places in America. The court has understood from the very beginning that that does not obligate the state to pay for it. There's no constitutional requirement to fund abortion. So then we come down to the matter of conscience. And that's where our leaders, both in government and in the church, need to say, we're going to protect the conscience of tens of millions of Americans even more, who consistently in poll after poll indicate they don't want their money going for the killing of babies. And then that introduces the other moral part of this. You don't fund something that kills innocent life. Here we are talking about the murder of innocent people, both in terrorist attacks in the United States, in terrorism around the world and wars. And people are just, yo, you don't kill innocent. You got to protect innocent people. Why is there such a blind spot when it comes to the innocent people in the womb? The government shouldn't be allowing it in the first place, but certainly not causing us forcing us to pay for it. And Gina, that's what's on the line. And it's always been. And pro life people and pro life members of Congress need to stand firm on this.
A
Yeah, the unborn baby lobby, you know, doesn't have a lot of money to put into political campaigns. I think that might have something to do with it. But, you know, they are so blessed, these babies, to have you out there fighting for them just as you always have come what may, even having to take on basically the Vatican to do it. You're an amazing man and I know that the pro lifers out there appreciate who you are. We appreciate you being with us and wish you a Happy New Year.
D
Happy New Year to you. God bless.
A
God bless you all. Right, back with the second hour of American Sunrise. Two minutes, guys. Stick around.

Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you. Politics.
D
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida. We've got you covered. This is what it looks like to be a patriot. We have to protect the American family.
A
The American dream is still alive.
D
I'm David Brody. I'm terrence.
A
And I'm Dr. Gina. All right, welcome back to the second hour of American Sunrise. Marching right into that new year, we are. I'm Dr. G. Coming to you from West Palm Beach. Let's bring in Emily Finn. She's in for Terrence Bates and Brian Glynn, who's in for David Brody and me. I'm just here for Colby hugs.
C
Aw. Hi, Colby.
D
I'm missing some Colby hugs. I don't get any Colby hugs.
C
Yeah, we gotta get you back down here in studio again soon, Brian.
A
Problem with that is you have to wake him up for it, Brian. He's, he's kind of a lazy puppy. Look at him, he's like so cute. We should all be so catatonic. All right, you guys. Well, Russia has accused Ukraine of launching this massive drone strike, a strike on Putin's residents, claiming nearly 100 long range drones were intercepted. Moscow has called this incident state terrorism. It says it could harden its position in peace talks. But Ukraine has fiercely denied the claim with officials calling it false and saying no such attack took place. Ukraine says Russia is using the accusation to justify further military action and to undermine diplomatic efforts. There are no independent military verifications by the way of this alleged drone attack and no damage or casualties at all have been reported. Meanwhile, Utah judge has ordered release of a redacted transcript and audio from a previously closed October hearing in the high profile case of Tyler Robinson, who as we all know, is accused of killing Charlie Kirk at the Utah Valley University. The hearing addressed courtroom security, including whether he should be shackled or allowed to wear civilian clothing during those proceedings and whether cameras should be permitted inside the courtroom. Judge Tony Graf ruled that Robinson may wear regular clothes but must remain restrained. Barred media, by the way, from broadcasting images of his restraints to avoid prejudice. Prejudicing, prejudicing. We'll get that out. Potential jurors say that three times Fast Robinson facing multiple counts, of course, including aggravated murder. And he will be facing the death penalty. He attended Monday's hearing by audiolink. A future hearing will address the defense motion to ban cameras in the courtroom. But it's looking more and more like the judge is going to make this a most transparent case despite it being so high profile. Also, two more performers are canceling upcoming appearances at the Kennedy Center. A jazz band called the Cookers were slated to perform tomorrow night but canceled the appearance. The band did not specifically say why, but their statement hinted at the politics being the reason. Also, Christy Lee canceled her performance scheduled for January 14th and said losing integrity would cost more than losing a paycheck. This comes after Chuck Red canceled his Christmas Eve concert at the Kennedy Center Center. It is time now for the weather. And in our last hour, we asked you to head over to the Real America's Voice chats on Getter and rumble and YouTube and to be chosen to get your hometown forecast live just for you and to be part of all of that. And join us for the Weather Nation family. You can do that with a quick photo of the QR code on your screen. Here with the results is Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony. Tracy, I never get to talk to you. I am so honored I do. Who gets today's forecast? Tracy?
C
Yeah, we've got a couple different cities from across the country, all with some interesting weather elements. We're taking you out to Oakfield, New York. This is where we're going to have.
A
A good amount of snow.
C
We have several systems that will work, work across the region over the next couple of days. So that's going to leave for a very cold and a very snowy New Year's Eve into New Year's Day. And then temperatures are going to remain in the 20s with overnight lows down in the teens.
B
So if we want to warm things.
C
Up a little bit, we're taking you down to Jacksonville, Florida. This From Flashosaurus on getter, 52 degrees today. Notice we're a little bit on the cooler side.
A
So we do have some frost and.
C
Freeze alerts that are in place, but we'll continue that warming trend into 2026. So we're staying nice and dry until Saturday. That's when our next system rolls on through and taking you out west to Lake of the Woods, California. We have been socked in with moisture out across the Western U.S. we've had about two, three days of dry weather, but now we're bracing for another system that's going to knock on our doorstep by Christmas Eve. And it's expecting to bring more rain and more heavy snow for the high country. So that could be insult to injury after the rain and storms that they dealt with just Christmas week. So. Dr. Gina that's what's going on across the country.
A
Tracy, I don't know if you can see this, but this is the Christmas ornament that Flashosaurus whose weather forecast you just read for us, made out of a tuna can. I just think it's the coolest thing ever. It's actually really intricate and very cool. And so I just thought it happened to be hanging here on the tree behind me. You can't make this up. We love our loyal viewers. Thank you so much, Flash.
C
I'll have to come check it out.
A
I know you will have to, Tracy. Thank you so much. Let's get you over to Emily now, guys.
C
Thank you very much, Gina. President Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida yesterday to discuss the of nature next steps for the ceasefire with Gaza, among other issues. Here was the president speaking at a press conference yesterday urging Hamas to disarm.
D
We talked about Hamas and we talked about disarmament and they're going to be given a very short period of time to disarm and we'll see how that works out. Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will be in charge of that from our side. But if they don't disarm as, as they agreed to do, they agreed to it and then they'll be held to pay for them.
C
Joining us now with reaction is Rev chief White House correspondent and host today, Brian Glenn. Brian, good morning. Very excited to have you hosting. With us. What steps is the White House taking for Hamas to disarm?
D
You know, they are really paying attention to what's going on right now. And I know we've had, we've seen the past right after the peace, peace deal was, was achieved for the most part, months ago. And we saw a little bit of violence break out. There is some rogue Hamas and not necessarily, I think, associated with Hamas, but there are some rogue, you know, outlaws, if you will, that are causing some of these conflicts. And so those have to be addressed as well. But President Trump's strong words yesterday in regards to Hamas disarming and really showing full support to Israel for whatever needs to happen. And President Trump just saying it right there, there would be hell to pay. And based upon past experiences from the Israeli government, I think that we can, you know, bet that that would happen again. Emily?
A
Yeah. You know, ahead of this meeting, President Trump signaled that he would support Israeli strikes on Iranian missile and nuclear facilities. Let's take a look at that.
D
That. And speaking of Iran, I hope they're not trying to build up again, because if they are, we're going to have no choice but very quickly to eradicate that buildup. So I hope Iran is not trying to build up. As I've been reading.
A
You know, the president of Iran recently stated his country is at total war with Israel as well as the United States. This is really kind of scary as we go into this new year. Brian, I'm curious your predictions.
D
Yeah, it is. Dr. Gina I know that, that we've been really kind of monitoring what the base feels about all of this as we don't want to get into another war with any country right now. And of course, we had an expert on Iranian government on the previous hour, and he really kind of, I think, pulled back the curtain of what's going on in that country and how the people feel about the regime that's in charge right now. But President Trump showing full support on striking Iran if they did not, you know, settle and take an agreement, which he warned them before they didn't do. And of course, Midnight Hammer took place and we eradicated all of the potential nuclear sites. Now, they say President Trump did note that they do feel like they know where potential locations are being created for this potential, potential nuclear weapon that Iran could create. But we've got to keep an eye on that. But as we said going into Q1 of 2026, I don't think the focus, if it stays on foreign policy, things that don't necessarily reflect the interest of you line up 100Americans in a row, Dr. Jean, and you ask them, what is your top 10 concerns in your life. I don't think it's Iran. And we must make sure that we, we focus on the American people. Yes. Take care of our allies, get rid of the evil in the world, but we gotta shift on domestic issues.
C
Yeah, that's really, really important, Brian. And it's been interesting to see President Trump has been so busy meeting with foreign leaders at Mar A Lago recently. What is on his schedule today and leading up to the new year? I know that he'll be at Mar a Lago for New Year's Eve. What is going on today for the president.
D
Well, there's actually, believe it or not, nothing publicly scheduled on his for his daily schedule today. Nothing scheduled at Mar A Lago, no official visits from any heads of state or anything like that. I imagine he could go out for a round of golf later this morning. I need to jump on the poll notes to find out if there's any update on that. Now. Yes, you're right. He does spend New Year's Eve at Mar a Lago at the club. Dr. Gina, I'm sure you've been there, I've been there covering it as well. So I would imagine he'll have a maybe two minutes with the media as he walks into the, the ballroom there. But I think from now until the end of the year, you're going to see a little bit of, a little bit of a pause on some of these official heads of state visiting Mar a Lago. I think it's going to be a little bit more tuning into the first of the year and spending time with his family, no doubt. But what we did find out though, that Benjamin Netanyahu might be there on New Year's Eve. At least President Trump hinted around at that during that press gaggle yesterday. So we'll see.
A
Well, I don't want to take Tracy's job here, but today it's a little inclement in Palm Beach. The low is 52 degrees. The high is only 66. So it'll be some cold golfing. He's going to need a jacket, Brian, but I think that's okay. Hey, Brian, I wanted to ask you about the rumors I'm seeing out there in social media about a possible Tucker Carlson posturing for president. Are you hearing this? And who else are you hearing about? And the only reason I bring up this conversation because I think it's ridiculous to talk about who's running for president three years ahead of time, but with the absolute, really almost all in endorsement right at the Turning Point event earlier this year by Erica Kirk for JD Vance. It does have a conversation taking place. Place.
D
Yeah. No, you're absolutely right. And I know the poly market loves to talk about this particular topic. And it is fun. It's kind of, it's like fantasy football talk about it, you know, and I did remember even Tucker was rumored to even be a potential VP for President Trump back in the previous election. And of course, that didn't happen. But I think Tucker Carlson, it all comes out to name id. Obviously, millions of Americans know who Tucker Carlson is. There's a huge divide there as far as America first and maybe America interest overseas. So you've got that little bit of a division there. I don't think it's realistic. I don't think Tucker Carlson wants it. There's a reason why he moved out of Florida and kind of moves remotely on the Northeast. Didn't like the attention, didn't like some of the threats he was getting. I don't think there's any merit to that at all. But it is fun to talk about and people are even mentioning. Is Erica Kirk a potential VP candidate with Vance? I'm highly against that for numerous reasons, but it is once again something to talk about. The talk show gods love this topic because everyone has an opinion on it.
A
Yeah, yeah. It will be interesting as this race does start to shape up, hopefully after the midterms because I don't think we need the contention in the meantime.
D
You're right.
A
Listen, if you guys are going to talk about there in the chat and you going to talk about it out in social media, guess what we're going to talk about here on the show too. Brian all right. Still to come on American Sunrise, a stunning new poll shows Senate Democrat leader Chuck Schumer at the bottom of Washington's popularity rankings. I mean, the bottom. We're going to talk about what's behind the collapse just after the break, so don't go away.

Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm American Sunrise contributor Emily Finn. It's great to have you with us this morning. Time now to drain the swamp. And this morning we are flushing out Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. A new poll suggests the New York Democrats political stock has never been lower. According to a Gallup survey released this week, Schumer ranks as the least popular major politician in Washington with just a 28% approval rating, putting him behind not only Republican leaders but members of his own party. The poll shows Schumer is underwater with Republicans, Independents and Democrats alike, a rare and troubling position for a party leader. The numbers are raising serious doubts about how much longer Schumer can hold his grip on power. For more, let's bring in Brian Glenn and Dr. Gina. Brian, you know, we were talking a little bit about this, you know, during the commission. Commercial break Everyone in Washington has low approval ratings. That's what we were saying.
D
Yeah, I'm looking at the list, Emily, and it looks like every elected official is underwater now. Schumer just happens to be the worst at 28%. But you know, you go up to Thune and Jeffries and even President Trump at 36%, J.D. vance at 39%. I think the American people are just over all of the talking points. They want what Steve Bannon would say, action, action, action. I don't think they're seeing it. So, Dr. Gina, does this surprise you that any elected official right now in eyes of the public, is pretty down?
A
No, it really doesn't. I mean, I think MAGA gave marching orders and a lot of people just feel like those have been forgotten. We talked about DOGE earlier. That virtually disappeared with Elon's exit. And I don't think MAGA really understands why. Why can't we continue DOGE efforts? Why can't we continue to talk about our deficit? Why can't we talk about cutting things instead of spending more money? I don't think MAGA is just, there's no appetite for this whatsoever. Brian, I'm curious on this list because I don't have it in front of me where the speaker stands on that list in terms of popularity.
D
I don't see the speaker on here, but I can imagine, Dr. Gina, that it's probably where Trump and vance are probably mid-30s, I would think. I would think that Bad Bunny right now has a higher approval rating than most elected officials.
A
I'm a little shocked Vance is higher than Trump right now. That's interesting. Something that I think we couldn't have predicted at this time last year. Interesting.
C
Yeah. They are doing a great job, this administration. All right, great discussion. Coming up, we are headed down to Wall street for the opening bell and insight into how to hold on to your hard earned dollars with some common sense. We'll be back with more American Sunrise in just two minutes.

Welcome back. The bell at the New York Stock Exchange will ring in a few minutes, but as we wait, let's take a look at the futures. We have the looking pretty rough today. The Dow S and P and Nasdaq are all in the red. Oh, all right. We are definitely going to check in with that in a little bit. But for now, let's get you over to Dr. Gina.
A
All right. It's time for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. Joining us now with what you need to know to keep your money in your wallet where it belongs is the founder of Stormwall Advisors, Michael Wilkerson. Good morning, Michael. How are you? Happy New Year.
D
Happy New Year.
A
Yes, thank you. Want to start with the irs? Not that that's a very fine place to start at all, but the Internal Revenue Service just revealed a new retirement Plan. Contributions including 401ks and IRA plan. What should we know about this as we go into the new year? Because usually when the IRS says something, not many people listen.
D
Michael. Well, this is good news. And this means that Americans can try at least to keep up with inflation. There are cost of living adjustments in these retirement plans, which means that you can put away money for savings on a pre tax basis or an after tax basis and not pay taxes along the way. So Both Iraq and 401ks are a way for Americans to invest in their own future to put a little bit extra in. The Christmas stocking for this year is actually not too late. You can still make contributions for 2025 and then going into 2026. As you've noted, because inflation has been running, they have adjusted it for cost of living so you increase next year to be able to put away even more for your future.
C
Wow, that is good news out of the irs. I think more Americans need to put away for their future because they ate out less frequently in 2025, leading restaurant chains to chase a new hot menu item. And that is value. Analysts say this comes from rising costs of living, particularly in areas like rent and child care. Is this a trend that's going to stick for a while? I'm someone who likes to eat out, so I don't want to see this trend continue.
D
We all do. This trend has been going on for almost four years now. If you look at same store sales comps, comparables for restaurants, traffic year over year has been down 2022, 2023, 2024, now 2025. Why is this it's something that I talked about last year called the bifurcation or the split between the Ferrari and the dollar general economies. You know, the top 10% of Americans are spending, spending, spending. They have disposable wealth for most Americans, roughly 80%. It's been a really hard go during the Biden years where real influence, incomes have been falling. We're starting to see that change a bit in 2025. But the real issue is that if there's prosperity in this country, it has to be Main street, not just Wall Street. Everyone needs to benefit so we can all enjoy being able to go out to these restaurants that we know and love.
A
Yeah. It's interesting when you talk, Michael, about Main street because that involves cultural trends. Right? And one big cultural trend, regardless of the traction it is or isn't getting at the moment, from a policy standpoint, is Maha making America healthy again. I know yesterday I tried to look up on grubhub. I wanted to order something healthy. I wanted. You guys are gonna laugh at this, but I was craving Chinese food. But I wanted organic. No food dyes, no msg, right? No. No seed oils. I wanted that kind of food. When you try to search organic food, it gives you a list of vegan and vegetarian options. I don't care about that. I love meat, but if I have meat, I want it to be hormone free. I want it to be grass fed. Right. Farm raised, all the rest of it. That's not an option really out there. And for that reason, I find myself cooking at home a lot more than I did last year. How much does that contributing to the shifts taking place in our economy. But more importantly, what are your predictions there?
D
There's no doubt. And Dr. Gina, you're looking for the menu unicorn, which we're not sure it exists. We're all trying to find something like that. To be able to enjoy healthy, high quality food at a reasonable price, it's very difficult. There's a trade off between affordability and quality. And I do appreciate the Maha effort and what they are trying to do. I do believe that as consumers are becoming more and more aware of some of the effects of ultra processed foods, that they are going to pressure these restaurants, these chains, to improve the quality of their ingredients. And so I do think it's a trend, hopefully that's here to stay. We need to find a way to make the value equation work. Quality at an affordable price.
A
Yeah, absolutely.
C
Yeah. Michael, only about a minute left with you as we wait for the opening bell. I do want to talk about gm. General Motors stock is having its best year since the company bounced back from bankruptcy in 2009 with its new record, even beating Tesla's high points. What's driving this surge for gm?
D
Well, I love GM and the performance that they've done. Now. This is part of the let's make America great again story. The American renewal and renaissance. A company that was really struggling for a very long time. I'm very familiar with this story from the global financial crisis. They have really gotten serious about making products that are good quality, that Americans really like being disciplined on price. One of the things they did this year was to cut back on a lot of the. The EV efforts that they had been doing where they realized there just wasn't demand for it, it wasn't going to be profitable. And really refocus their efforts on what do Americans want? They want trucks, they want SUVs. They want them to run, and they want them to run well. They've done a great job of that. They've also done a good job of returning capital to investors. You know, Tesla is the comparable you mentioned. Tesla trades like a software company. That's how it's valued, potentially. It should be with the robotics and automation.
B
Yep.
D
GM even today still is inexpensive relative to the auto. Auto industry.
A
Michael Wilkerson, a prosperous new year to you. Let's get ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Sponsored, of course, by amac.
D
The association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can write the course of America.
C
All right, checking in for today's opening bell. There we go. Ringing the bell. Girl Rising is there today at the New York Stock Exchange. Very exciting. Everyone looks so happy with their big smiles. Oh, that's a lot of girl power. Very fun. Okay, so let's check in the Dow S and P and nasdaq. Oh, like we mentioned when we were looking at this earlier, looks like a little bit of a rough patch. Lot of red on that screen. All right, now, let me be blunt. Gold is up around 40% this year. That's not speculation, that's reality. And if a portion of your savings isn't diversified into gold, you're missing the boat. But here's the facts. Inflation is still too high, the US Dollar is still too weak, and the government debt is insurmountable. This is why central banks are flocking to gold. They're the ones driving prices up to record highs. But it's not too late to buy gold from Birchgold Group and get in the door now. Hi, welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us this morning. We invite you to hop in our conversation over on YouTube. Getter and rumble. It is time now to take the political pulse of America. Can you feel it? Oh well, here's the beat. Today, Minnesota Governor Tim Wall is facing growing pressure as he pushes back against a wave of big time fraud allegations. Allegations that exploded after a mega viral video appeared to exposed empty and shuttered daycare and learning centers receiving millions of dollars in taxpayer funds. Now this 43 minute video posted by independent journalist Nick Shirley, this is a Citizen Journalist has now surpassed 100 million views. You guys. Shirley documented multiple facilities around Minneapolis that appeared vacant or unwilling to engage, including one center with a misspelled sign reading Quality Learning center. But they forgot the R. This allegedly was listed serving nearly 100 children while receiving around $4 million in state funding. I'll let you do that. Math in response, Walls office says the governor has been working for years to crack down on the fraud. But, yeah, not really seeing any evidence of that. Joining us now with reaction, chairman of Californians for Election Fairness in the former chairman of California Republican Party, Tom Delpocaro. Tom, good morning, Tom. You know, Brian Glenn pointed to something I think is really important here. We wonder why all of these Somalis end up in Minnesota. They're from weather that isn't exactly reflective of Minnesota's weather. Right. And a lot of times you find the Cubans and they come to Florida because the weather is a lot like that in Cuba. Not the case here. So when there are gaps, I learned this in my training early on for my first master's degree where I was taught to find gaps, little holes that don't make sense. This is a good one that Brian Glenn detected. The weather doesn't match up. So in that case, you followed the money, Tom, and it appears there is a money trail, some laundering, some fraud going on here. Explain to us.
D
Us well, remember that they were resettled there all in one place with a specific desire, the Obama administration to create a district. And Ilyan Omar is the representative of that district. And the fraud has been going on a long time in this state. There was a conviction in 2016. There's been over 60 convictions. There is a ton of new arrests. US and there's a ways to go here. Now, Tim, it's not illegal for Tim Walls to be incompetent. They would have to show some sort of quid pro quo or payment to him for him to go to jail. But the reality is this is not unlike usaid and Republicans, if they were smart, would tie all of this big government fraud and the need to clean up government to Americans having their Social Security in the decade ahead. Because that's what's on the line. If we continue to allow this fraud or the spending of the Democrats, Social Security and Medicare are directly in the firing line and much of it will be lost. So Republicans need to take this issue, which is horrific, and put it in the hands of people so that they understand why this really matters.
C
Yeah, absolutely, Tom. And that's going to be so important as we're coming into an election year. You know, Democrats may be in danger of losing their most coveted voting bloc, which is Americans under 30. That's me. That's me. And I can tell you the Democrats are super lame. They're not cool at all. They say that they're making progress in pulling Gen Z voters back into the fold. Even with young men moving sharply in favor of President Trump in 2024. But Republicans say the fight is far from over. Tom, do you expect young voters to continue shifting right this year or even beyond that?
D
I'm smiling because it turns out I'm not under 30 but I was when Ronald Reagan ran and Ronald Reagan strength and economy which gave opportunity to the under 30 and me at that time was a big deal to me and it made it helped me be solidify what what my beliefs already the economy next year is going to do very well. It's been a transition year from a government Fed economy to the private sector that is necessary and and we see the strong growth. I have an article in Substack about why the Fed is so wrong about growth. But next year is a whole different story 2026 than the complaints now. And when the under 30 see opportunity versus what the Democrats swalwall came out today and said we're going to do impeachment and spending, that difference will bring home anyone who's on the fence now among the under 30. So I expect it to hold. Yeah. Tom, before I get to my question for you, I agree 100% of what you said in your opening, I think but we need to see perk walks and handcuffs cuffs for these people that have done all this fraud and abuse. And I quite frankly I don't think that's coming. So I think that's where we lose the trust of the American people. But who knows maybe I'm wrong on that. But one of the major turnoffs for many of the young voters has been the constant barrage of DEI in both public and private spaces. Now the Trump administration is cracking down hard on practice with the Department of Justice launch launching probes and how countries like Google and Verizon use policies for hiring and promotions. You know, Tom, do you think Americans are going to wave goodbye to DEI in 2026? Again, this depends how it's cast by the Republicans in making the argument. You notice with regard to immigration, they talk about the fact that the jobs are going to Americans that and not to those here illegally. DEI also cost America not only economic growth, but it costs people who deserve jobs the jobs they were looking for. So Republicans need to not only end the DEI practices which are so bad and by the way, the person running the the Minnesota child care web that is out there was a DEI hire as well and very anti white I'll have to say. So Republicans need to again say it's not just that they're against something, they're for something better, which is, I agree. A country that is growing and prosperous based on merit, not on government handouts. I agree.
C
You know, Tom, some troubling news from your home state we want to touch on here before we let you go. California's political leaders are preparing a ballot initiative initiative for next November, commonly known as the 2026 Billionaire Tax act, which would impose a one time 5% tax on the net worth of the state's wealthiest individuals, leading many to suspect that there's going to be a mass exodus of wealth. Some say that that's imminent for the Golden State. How do you expect your fellow Californians to react if this initiative does become law? I can say Gina and I both made the move California to Florida. They're welcome to come here to Florida. It's much better here.
D
I wish I had a paper bag instead of just my hand to hide at this moment on how stupid this policy is. But people need to understand that Gavin Newsom is is a moderate compared to who's in the legislature in California. Nancy Pelosi is a moderate compared to many in San Francisco politics. This is a long term trend and it is economic suicide. But people need to take notice of this. And Gavin Newsom has pushed that. The state, even though he's a moderate, has pushed it compared to other radical Democrats. He continues to push it left. And so this is not a surprising turn of events. There will be a brain drain. There's nothing about California's gone from over 300 IPOs a year down into the 20s. This will plummet it further. It will result in less revenue. It's a dumb thing to do, which is exactly why you can find it in Sacramento.
A
You know, I did a little bit of math and $4 million at the so called leaning center because they forgot the R and the sign for learning center there in Minnesota divided by 100 kids is $40,000 per child. This is for preschool. Maybe we bring back Doge, Tom, and we start auditing any place that is spending $40,000 per year per preschool child. Tom, what do you think about that?
D
Yeah. This is a constant battle. I don't know why they ever said Doge would only last a year or two. This needs to be a constant battle. I have said, said for years, as in my role as a historian, that every large government in history is rife with this kind of corruption because you can't watch it all and people take advantage of other people. It's not enough just to appropriate. You have to a make sure the program is working and B stop this type of fraud. The only real way to stop it, of course, is what you and I, Gina, I know for sure believe, which is in very limited government.
A
Government, yeah, very limited. And so bring back Doge, man. Just bring it back. They have got to bring it back. If we don't start talking about the deficit in spending, I don't see good things happening for Republicans in the future.
C
We just have to doge all of Minnesota at this point. You've got Tim Walls, Ilhan Omar. California is worse.
D
California is worse.
A
It is.
D
California is worse. It is worse. Worse stories coming out of California. Cuz it's a $300 billion dollar budget in California and, and the auditors already flagged eight programs. So yes, this is a constant battle. It's not enough just to go to Washington and say you're going to talk about changing things. You got to do it. And Doge is one way to do it. I agree. And also I'm still looking for those Tim Walsh videos of him talking about this if he claims he's been trying to crack down on it. While I have certainly haven't seen any social media videos on that. Real quickly, California, if I'm not mistaken, fifth largest economy in the world. But where do you think it sits 10 years from now? I got about 45 seconds on that, Tom. Well, I expect them to actually raise taxes, which will create even more of a brain drain, which means the economy. California leads the nation in unemployment. It is the weakest economic growth. I expect that to continue to be a problem. It's a big economy because of what the private sector does, not because of what the government does. The government hinders it. So it will continue to, with a little election cleanup, it's going to lose electoral votes in the next census and it will be a model of what not to do, sadly.
A
Yeah. Well, I'll tell you what, Tom, we continue to pray for you and thank you for sticking it out there in California and trying to save it because it is the most beautiful state in our nation in my opinion. And I'd love to have a second home there someday. Tom Delpolcaro, thank you so much for joining us today.
D
Yeah. All right, Happy New Year, everyone.
A
Happy New Year. All right, coming up, more tea boiling in Minnesota. Names are disappearing, money is moving. The heat is creeping closer to power. We're going to spill some tea. That's coming up next. Next. Stick around.

Again, that website artilleryteaco.com premium tea mission driven and brewed for the brave. It is time now to spill some tea. And in the cup today, a brew that's about to boil over as fraud investigations intensify in Minnesota. The Omar obit orbit, rather, is starting to sweat. Her husband's firm quietly scrubbing its website. Names gone, bios gone, including former Obama officials. The cup's getting cleaned just as investigators turn up the heat. This comes as questions mount about how Ilhan Omar went from nearly broke to a net worth estimated as high as $30 million while a massive fraud scheme unfolded in her district. Omar pushed legislation that loosened oversight of pandemic child Nutrition programs. Not long after her husband launched a venture capital firm. We've seen this brew before. Deny distance, dump the cup. Brian Glenn, want to bring you in on this. When the cup gets dumped like this, what are they really trying to hide? I mean, the allegations against Ilhan Omar are just unbelievable at this point. I don't know how the people of her district aren't just protesting that she, you know, demand that she resigns.
D
No, because they're all Somalians. Most people her district are Somalians, so they would never protest this. I asked President Trump earlier in the year about these, the story that Ilhan Omar allegedly married her brother, and that was in a whole immigration story. And I remember the reaction I got that. Of course, you fast forward to now. I'm even looking at a restaurant, safari restaurant, and an establishment that had also been named in this investigation. She's held events there. This thing stinks. All of it stinks. It needs to be looked into. Perk walks, handcuffs. And even if you can prove that she is complicit in any of this fraud, I think she should be out of Congress. I think that Speaker Johnson shouldn't push that to the floor for a vote, and she should be expelled from Congress.
C
At the very least, maybe even deportation.
D
Well, I'll go there, too.
A
Well, in true citizen journalist style, James o' Keefe and announced that if some of these people aren't prosecuted by the Republican administration, he's going to begin investigating the investigators. Brian, I'm curious your thoughts about that.
D
No problem. No problem about that. And I want to be. I will point out when someone talks about someone's net worth being that she went in with Nothing now is $30 million. I want to know kind of how they come up with that number. It might be maybe real estate transactions. I doubt his cash on hand in her personal account. I don't think that's the case. But. But if. If the investigators don't want to investigate the issue, then by all means the investigators should be investigated, because who's going to hold them accountable? Because what's happening, Dr. Gina, is that there's no accountability in all of this. The American people lose faith. They give up. And guess what they do when they give up up. They don't vote. So Republicans have got to do something on this issue and do it now. Don't kick this ball into 2027, 2028. Do that right now and this and this year, and then let's see where it goes from there.
C
Yeah, absolutely, Brian. I think the GOP should certainly consider this being a main talking point all, all throughout 2026 leading up to the midterms. What are your predictions for the midterms, Brian?
D
You know, I try to be a little bullish on it, actually. I still think for the most part the inflation is down, wages are going up. I think life is getting better overall for the American people. And so I think if we can just keep the economic momentum going and stay away from foreign conflicts that distract us from that, I think the voter will get off its butt and go and make sure that Republicans hold the House, hold the Senate and we can move on. Because if not, Emily, I can tell you what's going to happen happened. Impeachment, impeachment, impeachment, investigation, investigation. Head of oversight, head of all. They're going to take over Democrats and take over every committee in Congress. Six races Sunday and they're going to investigate everything and then nothing gets done.
C
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I was going to say I really appreciate your optimism, Brian. I hope that we can definitely hold, hold everything in its place. All right now, still to come on American Sunrise. Coming up, how veterans drone technology is and a whole lot of heart created a real life miracle in the cold. Our Sun Insight up is coming up next. Stick around. More American Sunrise. Welcome back to American Center Sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks so much for joining us today. Time now for the sunny side up in the pan. Today, hope takes flight. In the freezing cold of a New Jersey night, a five month old puppy vanished and time was running out. But then, a team of veterans, a drone with thermal vision and a mission to serve in just 41 minutes, they found shade two blocks from home. Shade is the name of the puppy, leading to a reunion described as absolutely nothing less than cinematic. It's a reminder that skill, service and heart can turn panic into miracles and that there is still so much good in this world. Emily I can't even imagine how I would feel in this situation.
C
I can't imagine how I would feel either. That certainly is a miracle. Beautiful. Beautiful to see. Brian.
D
It is. I love the engagement, the veterans, the drones, the technology. You know, maybe that's one thing that we can be thankful for. You know, sometimes technology separates people. In this particular incident, it brought people together and they're man's best friends. So I think it's a great story and maybe we can deploy these drones to define a few other things, like maybe all the missing money in Minnesota. Maybe we can launch drones around drones around Minnesota and look for some fraud and abuse. But great story.
C
Doge Drones.
D

I have to ask you guys, if either of you, there's a new series out on Netflix called Members Only. A bunch of my friends from Palm beach are involved in this reality show. I wondered if either of you. Have you tuned into this at all? Emily?
C
Yes, a little bit. It looks like it's. It's definitely going to be a huge success. I know they're, you know, competing with the, the Real Housewives franchise and it looks like a lot of fun. Certainly entertaining to tune in.
A
Yeah, a lot of fun.
D
I'm gonna watch it.
A
You what?
D
Brian Ryan, I'm gonna watch it. Now that you said that.
A
Yeah, it's a fascinating, you know, sort of up close and personal on Palm beach. And I have to tell you, I was, I was really surprised. The production quality is, is all there and the conversation is interesting about what it's like in Palm beach society, et cetera, et cetera. Fascinating study, you know, a little bit something rather than something fictional. I like that it's sort of reality based and, and there's, there is some reality in this, actually.
C
We cover so many serious topics on this show all the time. It's good to, good to have something like that to be able to tune into.
D
It is.
A
Yeah. And I love that this little pit bull was saved by this thermal technology. I think it's really cool. All right, you guys, listen, War Room is coming up next. Brian, so great to have you with us. We miss D Bron baby out there, but we love, love you back, Brian. Our audience loves you and so do we, so. All right, thank you, War Room. Up next. You guys hug your children. Love God. Go. Boldly now live.
