Ahead on American Sunrise EARLY edition. President Trump's affordability tour kicked off in the Pocono Mountains of swing state Pennsylvania last night. Did the president focus more on the past than the present and future? We'll see if they made that shift. Speaking of affordability, the Republicans now have their own Senate health care bill to actually replace Obamacare. Now they just have to get enough votes for it to pass before Chuck Schumer and the rest of the Democrats shut the government down again. Believe me, they'll do it.
All over America. Our school children and the naive elderly people who believe fairy tales believe that ICE agents are coming into schools to round children up. Of course, it's not true, but the hysteria is out there and that hysteria is real.
Colorado 2020 election whistleblower Tina Peters loses her appeal in federal court to have her nine year prison sentence revoked or at least reduced. What can President Trump and other patriots do now?
And Justice Katani Brown Jackson speaks here. Frightening. And all kinds of things again. Her frightening mind, all kinds of other misconceptions at the Supreme Court. She strongly supports the idea of unelected bureaucrats continuing to wield power with no accountability to the voters. Is she aware that if that were our policy 150 years ago, the Confederacy would have won the Civil War? American SUNRISE EARLY EDITION begins now.
Welcome to American SUNRISE EARLY edition.
The show where faith, freedom and the values that built this nation take center stage. Your good deeds and bad deeds, that's how we're going to judge you. Join host Jake Novak as he breaks down the stories that matter. We will be letting the public know regularly what we have found. American Sunrise Early EDITION with your host Jake Novak starts now.
Welcome to AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY edition. I'm Jake Novak. It is a Wednesday already. Feels like this week is going by quickly, right? I hope so. I hope it is for you as we get ready for another weekend getting close to that Christmas holiday season. So much fun. Look, folks, I feel like almost every day on this program we could clear up and any program that covers news, we could clear up a lot of problems and consternation in America if we just had basic history education refreshers. You know, you got to get your license renewed every few years when you're a driver. You should have a history refresher for adults. That might help. Luckily, instead of that, well, listen, I'd rather have that, but instead of that, it's a little bit easier just to watch this program. So joining us now to help us with the present future and a little bit of a new perspective on the past is U.S. air Force retired Colonel Rob Manus, also the host of the Rob Manus Show. Colonel, let's talk about the present right now because big numbers deserve our attention. And the $901 billion, it's the record large defense budget. They call it the, you know, has a fancy special name. But, you know, this would qualify. I think there's a lot of interesting things in it. Just another one of those bills where there's probably thousands of pages that nobody reads. We know that there's some problems in this budget, but the fact that Congress is adding more to what even President Trump wanted, what does that tell you?
Colonel Rob Manus
Col. Well, we knew this was coming, Jake. Unfortunately, though, there's only about $20 billion in cuts, and the Doge cuts are not codified for the most part in this particular bill, although some of that $20 billion does a little bit of overlap, and that's a problem because that effort was identifying and in the other organizations where cuts have been made, some really tremendously problematic contracts that were working in opposition to the American people. So we really would like to get that reviewed and get those cuts codified and see even more of them so that we don't have to have a trillion dollar plus defense bill. Now, are there important things that need to be funded? Absolutely. We need increases in places like shipbuilding. Shipbuilding should be the number one priority and more importantly than even building US Navy combat ships, which needs to be done and expanded to meet the threat from.
The reestablishment of the maritime shipbuilding industry across the board inside the United States has to happen if the United States is going to be able to deter China and we can extricate ourselves from these endless war policies that continue to get Americans killed or potentially get them killed in places like the border of Russia and Ukraine, which is absolutely not in the vital national interest. Where exactly that border is located, quite frankly, and never has been. And I'm paraphrasing Barack Obama now, not a Republican president, quite frankly.
Jake Novak
Right.
Colonel Rob Manus
So We've got to get those things done. And this budget has $400 billion again for Ukraine, but it does reprioritize towards toward the Pacific and the Chinese Communist Party, which it aligns with the new national security strategy. In order to do.
Jake Novak
Well, we might have to do some surgery on this, but your call for shipbuilding is the number one priority. Obviously warms my heart as a guy who did a lot of his growing up in Norfolk, Virginia. That would be good for sure. And you know, I'd love to do a program with you and also maybe a naval officer to talk about the sphere of influence that goes along with having an aircraft carrier. What is it, 50, 60 square miles? If you have an aircraft carrier, you dominate. It's kind of. I think it's something like that, maybe more. Colonel, the last time you joined me, we were talking about that war on the war on drugs, the constant smearing of. And people talk about it as if they're just smearing Pete Hegseth and President Trump. But remember, there are US Servicemen and women who are carrying out those raids who are being smeared also. This really leaves a bad taste in my mouth again, harking back to my days in Norfolk, Virginia as a kid in the 70s. You know, I saw firsthand former naval officers who lived in my townhouse community who were still scarred from the way that they were demonized by ignorant Americans over the Vietnam War. This feels like the same mistake. I mean, at least the Gulf wars with all their problems, didn't seem to demonize the troops that much. At least on the ground. Hollywood did. Hollywood demonized everyone who fought in both Gulf wars as basically a mental case, but that was Hollywood and people had paying less attention to them. I don't like this. We have to remember that when you demonize these things, you're demonizing the troops in the ranks, too.
Colonel Rob Manus
Yeah. You know, that's one of the biggest problems with the seditious six effort on the Democrat elected officials side of this issue, Jake, is that it is the first time since the Vietnam War that senior elected officials have actually taken up the spear of to throw at the chests of active duty Reserve Guard forces that are actually in the fight. And these folks are in the fight for us. And this is aimed at them squarely. Remember in the Nuremberg trials, there were corporals also that eventually out of those trials became convicted war criminals out of that because they followed orders and they weren't trained not to follow orders. And this malicious video that those politicians put out that are in high office and retired US Navy Captain Mark Kelly, Senator from Arizona, is the worst of the worst of that because he knows better. He knows darn well what this is doing by sowing seeds of doubt among the men and women on those ships in combat right now as we speak. It's dark down there. There are men and women on duty. There are men and women preparing forces to possibly attack more narco terrorist vessels. And they should never have a seed of doubt sewn by their elected leaders when that type of operation is happening. And then that seed of doubt spreads to their families and the American people here. And you will see nothing but harm to them come from this if it is not quickly dealt with. And I hope the Navy Department follows Secretary Hickseth's orders to the letter and very quickly to address Mark Kelly's activities under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. That's the only way to sort this out and sort it out quickly.
Jake Novak
I couldn't agree more. And it just makes me sad. I never thought I'd see this again. And I saw retired Navy captains, commanders who were living in my neighborhood and they were scarred. I mean this is 77, 78 years after we got out of Vietnam and still were scarred by the way that probably not so much for themselves, but the men who had served under them in war had been treated. Okay, well, talking about sowing a seed of doubt, I have a large seed of doubt when it comes to deciding whether Justice Katani Brown Jackson is either massively ignorant of history, which is the Occam's razor easy solution to that problem, or maybe she's just actually very well educated and she knows quite well that what she's about, what you're about to hear her say, what she said on the bench of the Supreme Court would really destroy the American democracy. Listen to this.
iHeart Radio Announcer
The answer would be just striking down the four clause removal protections. I mean, I appreciate that, but doesn't that create pretty significant risks with respect to the missions of the various agencies? I mean it's not just we don't have for cause removal and the agency continues. That would then I think open the door for the President to come in each new president and clean house in terms of all of the individuals who are running that agency, notwithstanding their expertise and knowledge and experience and the things that they are doing to promote the mission of the agency.
Jake Novak
Oh no, Colonel. The presidents who are elected by the people to make changes might actually get new people to do the work of the people that the people want. And there's a lot to unpack here. But the thing that really got me here, Colonel. Especially since you're a veteran. And I want to talk about this from a military standpoint. People think I'm just talking about the EPA or some other stuff industry, but this goes to the military as well. You know, we had a war in this country where the professional technocrat generals were blowing it in the beginning of the war. That's the Civil War. The great mastermind of the Civil War, the great strategist was Abraham Lincoln, who had no professional military training and he was doing a lot of great strategy. He couldn't get generals to get off their butts and actually do anything until he found US Grant to actually execute his more aggressive orders. We'd still be fighting the Civil War and maybe the Confederacy would have won if it weren't for an elected president acting on the will of the people to end the war as quickly as possible. This is no joke, Colonel.
Colonel Rob Manus
No, it absolutely is not a joke, Jake. And this reliance on experts really started in the early 1900s with the dastardly Woodrow Wilson presidency that established this massive bureaucracy and this military industrial complex that we now have to live with. And it's, it's spent three decades in an endless war policy. I'm sorry I keep bringing that up, it's like a broken record. But we are in grave danger in this country. Not we, but our children are in grave danger of being smashed on battlefields in faraway places because we have idiots like that Supreme Court justice that. I gotta be honest, I am rarely shocked by anything, but I was shocked to hear that said openly because it opens the mind, especially of the government bureaucrat and the uni party establishment on the political side because that's how they've been running this country. And let's just not just talk about the military, let's also talk about the civilian world. That pandemic fiasco. No matter who was president, thank God Donald Trump was president at the time. But, but no matter who was president, the so called experts led us down a path that has destroyed our, our country. It is destroyed freedom. It has destroyed the confidence of the citizens of the United States in the federal, state and local government agencies and elected officials. Nobody trusts anything coming out of these governments now. And why should we trust it? I spent 32 years of my life defending this country that lost friends doing it, risked my own life, my family was harmed by my service because I was selfless about it and made the sacrifices that were necessary to make sure my country was safe while all the time my country was being destroyed from within. By idiots like Ketanji, Brown, Jackson. The auto pen has continued that destruction and she is a result of that. And we need to find a way to end this now. The bureaucracy and the executive branch of the United States of America is in control of this country.
iHeart Radio Announcer
The.
Colonel Rob Manus
The president that we have right now is the only person that could have been elected to give us an opportunity to fix this. And he is having grave trouble doing it. There are not enough of his political appointees being approved because of the political side of this that believes in the experts. Stop it. Enough is enough. The appointees that are being put into this nation's executive branch now need to be more from outside the Beltway and outside the military industrial complex. But. But have the right experiences. And there are thousands of us, thousands of us whose resumes are in that stack that are not being hired because they're going with the Beltway experts. And that it continues the destruction of the confidence of the American people in this country. And we are in danger if it doesn't get repaired, and I mean repaired. Now something bold and big and beautiful has to be done and the President's being prevented from doing it because of this type of attitude. And I can't believe she openly said it, but I'm glad she did because it is time to wave the flag, get up on the ramparts and demand action or demand these people be removed and we replace them with Americans who understand what it means to have a United States of America underpinned by the Declaration of Independence.
Jake Novak
Well, your passion is definitely something to make people optimistic and just. You don't even need to know necessarily your history. How about common sense?
David Brody
Sense?
Jake Novak
Never in the history of humanity has having no accountability led to good outcomes. Accountability is what this country was about. And that's what we get when we have elected leaders. It's as simple as that. No accountability. Just because you have a degree from somewhere or someone calls you an expert doesn't work current. We're a little bit out of time. But what you just said very much is affecting the situation with General Chris Sage. I want everyone to go on Colonel Manuscript social media pages and talk about what happened to him, because that was a case of the bureaucrats going after someone who really sacrificed for this country. So please look up the case of General Chris Sage. We'll talk a little bit more about that in the coming days. But Colonel Rob Manus, thank you so much for joining us and thank you for your service, but most importantly for your passion this last couple of minutes because we need to Wake up, folks. The midterm elections are less than 11 months away. Start realizing what's at stake. Thank you so much, Colonel.
Colonel Rob Manus
Thanks, Jake. And thanks for calling out the issue with Chris Sage. We need, we need help for him.
Jake Novak
Yeah, let's everyone take a look at that and I will have a segment on it tomorrow at least, or maybe even a couple of times in the coming weeks. Coming up, the fairy tales we told kids in the old days used to have happy endings. Now school officials and politicians are deliberately lying and frightening our children, especially when it comes to immigration. But first, President Trump begins the so called Affordability tour. But is his economic message forward looking enough? That's next when American Sunrise Early Edition returns.

Welcome back to American Sunrise Early Edition. We are off to a hot and passionate start. Right now we take a look at the White House this morning in Washington, D.C. president Trump began what some people are calling the affordability tour last night in the Pocono Mountain region of Pennsylvania. Emily Finn joins us right now. And I really want the President's message to be quick and very, very effective. So here I think if you had to boil it down very quickly, here's what the message was last night and I'd like to get your take on whether you think this will be successful. Check it out. And I have no higher priority than.
Colonel Rob Manus
Making America affordable again. That's what we're going to do. And again, they caused the high prices and we're bringing them down.
Jake Novak
It's a simple message.
The message, and I like that. But you know, I wonder if it's time to start moving on from. Here's how we've already lowered Prices with things like gas and eggs. And now here's what I'm doing now. Or maybe he needs to throw in, Emily, a little bit of a Bill Clinton, I feel your pain kind of thing a little bit more. I know that's not necessarily President Trump's style, but maybe that would work. Or do you think this is good enough the way it is?
Dr. Jessica Berge
You know, I certainly understand what you're saying. Well, we have to remember this is the economy that he inherited from Joe Biden. He's trying to undo a lot of the, the bad policies that were put in place over the four years before him. But I do think that this is going to land, especially with the MAGA base. You know, I don't think the economy has necessarily gotten too much worse in the first year that Trump has been in office. But I do think that affordability is at the front of the minds of voters. We talk about this all the time. That during the midterms. And it's really going to come down to the voters wallets and if they're not feeling safe about their finances, not feeling secure about where their affordability in life is at, you know, when it comes to gas prices, when it comes to going to the grocery store and getting everyday things, this is certainly going to be a big focus on the campaign trail ahead of the midterms. And I think Trump is rolling out his game plan of how they're going to attack that messaging.
Jake Novak
Yeah. And there's got to be some grand new ideas that I know they're thinking about. For example, increasing supply of housing by building on federal land. How about building hospitals on federal land or schools? That would lower prices, too. Emily, thank you so much for joining us. We'll see you in the 8 to 10am hour. Thanks for coming in and always a little bit early just for me. I appreciate it.
Dr. Jessica Berge
Thanks, Jake. See you soon.
Jake Novak
All right, folks, if you are struggling with thinning hair, tell me about it. You'll want to pay close attention because I think you're going to find this next segment very, very helpful. We have a special guest joining us. She's Dr. Jessica Berge. She is a board certified dermatologist and she's going to share a simple natural ritual women can use to promote thicker and fuller hair appearance. Dr. Berge, it's too late for me, but thank you so much for joining us. I make this joke all the time, but in all seriousness, I have daughters and I also think I would have loved for this stuff to be around when I was younger. But Dr. Berg, I understand you have partnered with a company called Purience who has specializing now in natural hair care. So what can you tell us about them?
Dr. Jessica Berge
Yes, thank you so much for having me. Yes, I love Purian shampoo. They have natural and organic ingredients and they're backed by real science. It's proven to work. There's no harsh chemicals, so no parabens, no silicones, no sls. So it's a really great option. If you have either sensitive skin or mature skin.
Jake Novak
It'S great. I love how you made it a point of dermatology. I think a lot of people think that hair care is some kind of like just cotton, you know, cosmetic. But it's dermatology includes your hair care. So I understand that Purance has a pretty groundbreaking solution. It's called Hydrolift. Can you tell us a little bit more about Hydrolift from a dermatological point of view?
Dr. Jessica Berge
The Hydrolift shampoo is different because of its three phase growth support system. So the first phase is the root revival system. So there are ingredients that help dissolve any kind of waxy buildup which is suffocating the hair follicles and it's stunts the growth. So this allows the follicles to breathe. The second part is the hair thickening matrix which attaches to any weak spots in the hair follicle and this creates a scaffold and it strengthens the hair from within so it makes it look thicker and fuller over time. And then the third phase is the protective essence shield which protects the hair from any kind of environmental stresses. So all three of these things kind of create this invisible shield around the hair follicle which lets crucial nourishing ingredients in and keeps harmful chemicals out.
Jake Novak
I think, Dr. Berge, when people are doing their little self care routine in the shower, in the bath or something else like that, they do want to take it easy though. So the question I have to ask is how easy is it to use Hydra Lift shampoo? Is there a real regimen that has to be followed to the T and is it difficult to do? How do you use it properly?
Dr. Jessica Berge
It's super easy. You're just going to use it like a regular shampoo. What I love about it is it lathers up really, really, really quickly. So you want to lather it up on your scalp in the shower, let it sit for about one to two minutes before rinsing to really let it do its thing. And then it's recommended that you use it only two to three times a week. So it's super easy.
Jake Novak
You know again, I think that one of the reasons why it's great that I'm doing this interview is I think I'm a person. I'm an example of what happens if you don't use high Hydrolift. Just kidding. But obviously this is a great product for women. So for anyone who's watching, male or female, who's interested in trying Hydro lift, how can they do that?
Dr. Jessica Berge
So just go over to Purence.com to shop and your viewers can actually use discount code early to get 35% off their order. And what's great about Hydrolift is they actually have a 365 day money back guarantee. So in a full year, if you're not happy, you get your money back. And they also have some great skincare products as well. So if you're looking to reduce the look of fine lines or boost skin hydration, so check those out. Also.
Jake Novak
I appreciate it, Dr. Berge, board certified dermatologist by the way. Not easy to get dermatology positions in this country. So I'm impressed. Thank you so much for joining us today. We really appreciate it. So just like Dr. Berge said, if you're interested in trying Hydralift shampoo completely risk free for a full year, simply head over to Puriance.com to place your order. And don't forget to use the discount code early to save 35% on your order. That's Purience.com and discount code early to get 35% off Hydralift shampoo. Dr. Jessica Berge, that was awesome. Thank you so much for joining us.

A world of pure imagination. Take a look and you'll see into your imagination.
Jake Novak
You know, imagination is one thing with Willy Wonka, but making up horror stories to scare children is another way to use imagination for bad reasons. Later this hour, I'll tell you what woke school administrators are doing to our kids with a phony narrative involving ice. American Sunrise, early edition. We'll be right back.

It's a live look at the inner harbor there in Baltimore, Maryland. Looks like the sun has come up there. Yes, that's another city I used to live in. We'll eventually check all the boxes and look at live shots in the morning of everywhere you to live. Let's take a look at where the markets will begin today. And don't expect a lot of action on the markets until after 2pm that's when the Fed decision is and today is fed day. 2:00pm we'll find out if they've cut race or left them the same. They're not going to raise them and that will move the markets considerably. And let's take a quick look at bitcoin because it has been making a comeback and I believe that bitcoin is at the 92s, down a little bit. Got up to 93 yesterday, but still well over the 81,000 mark where we saw it just last week. All right, ladies and gentlemen, start your engines.

Another day, another foreign car company deciding to, or at least coming close to deciding to moving major production to the United States from overseas. The latest group doing that is Nissan. Now we already knew that Nissan was going to make the Nissan Rogue, the gas powered Nissan Rogue, which was their most popular car. My daughter has one. We knew that they were going to move that to the Tennessee plant just outside of Knoxville. But now it looks very much like they're going to make the hybrid Rogue in Tennessee as well. That's a lot more jobs, a lot more shifts. You know how this works. And this is another example of how the tariffs are working. The people in the bubble at the New York Times and the Washington Post and the network channels who don't know anyone, let alone have any personal experience working in manufacturing don't Understand this, which is why they still beat up on the tariffs ignorantly. This is a big deal for people who live in these kinds of states, in these kinds of towns. Another shift, another chance to hire even a new person from the neighborhood. That is a very big deal in America and we've needed it for so long. All right, it is quiz time. Which city in America has the worst traffic in terms of the most time lost and the most money lost when you're stuck in traffic? The answer is, actually, according to all the people who are counting on this, Chicago is the worst. And it got even worse over the last year, which is notable because cities like New York and Los Angeles didn't get worse. New York basically was flat from the year before and Los Angeles got better. Now, I have a little bit of a theory about this. Now a lot of the so called experts are saying, well, New York and Los Angeles have congestion pricing. That's why traffic's going down in those towns. No, that's not the reason. If you're making a bit, if your business depends on driving a truck into Manhattan in the middle of the day or driving in the express lanes in Los Angeles, you're not going to stop just because you have to pay a little bit more. You might find another way to get there, but you'll still be driving. No, this is, I think has something to do with the lowering number of illegal aliens in this country and the fact that ICE is clearing a number of them out. When the ICE raids were going on in Los Angeles, a lot of people noted that traffic was getting better. Again, I'm not trying to attribute every good thing in America to the reduction of illegal immigrants. I'm not trying to spread it too far, but it would make sense that our highways in major cities would be a little less congested if we cracked down on illegal immigration. It would also make sense that our emergency rooms would be a little less crowded as well. And we are seeing some reports of that, although it's staggered. I'm trying to take an honest look at this and I think that might be what's going on now. I don't have good news to report to you, however, when it comes to car loans in America, the delinquency in car loans, those are. It's officially delinquent if it's 30 days later. More actually went up in November. The good news is that even though that's a 15 year high, the total number of car loan payments that are Delinquent is still 3.88%. It's not even 4%. So we're not in great recession territory or depression territory. But this is a trend I don't like. So everyone pay attention to that if we can. Okay, now for the definition of the word show off. What you're about to see is a crane taking a beautiful $400,000 Ferrari 296 GTB off the balcony. First it's on and then it gets taken off off the balcony of a 28 year old Austrian millionaire who put it there. His name is Amar Desic and he said he was just displaying his Ferrari as a work of art. I think he was showing off and maybe he was hoping to get a few more girls to come over his apartment. Whatever. But by the way, they do this in Dubai all the time in Dubai. That's the fashion to put your fancy cars on a balcony so everyone can see them. But Austria and the city of Vienna didn't go for it. That's a lovely car, though. Coming up, so much of the left wing outrage in this country is entirely made up. And that includes the hysterical nonsense being spread around about ice supposedly coming into schools on purpose. That story and more when American Sunrise EARLY EDITION comes right back.

It's Wednesday, December 10th. Here are today's top stories. President Trump's affordability tour kicks off in the Pocono Mountains of swing state Pennsylvania. Did the president focus more on the past than the present and the future?
Speaking of affordability, the Republicans now have their own Senate health care bill to actually replace Obamacare. They could have done that years ago. Thanks a lot, John McCain. Now they just have to get enough votes for it to pass before Chuck Schumer and the rest of the the Democrats shut the government down again. And believe me, they'll do it.
All over America. Our school children and the naive elderly people who believe fairy tales believe that ICE agents are coming into schools to round children up. Of course, it's not true, but the hysteria is out there and it's real.
And Colorado 2020 election whistleblower Tina Peters loses her appeal in a federal court to have her nine year prison sentence revoked or at least reduced. What can President Trump and other patriots do now to help this prisoner of conscience? AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY EDITION continues now.
Welcome back to AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY edition. Yes, the folks in the control room are noticing that I'm wearing a real suit, not just a sport jacket today. Sometimes it happens. They tell me that brown is not a good color for tv, but I think that with my complexion and my, you know, my bald head, I think it actually works. But you can tell me otherwise. Listen, I'm up for fashion suggestions. I could use some. Joining us right now is Aaron Boxer. He's the CEO of Diversified Education Services. And Aaron, there's probably nothing I find more detestable than when adults deliberately frighten children, even if the threat is real. Adults going out of their way to frighten children is the opposite of what nature intended. We are here to make our children feel safe, to protect them as much as possible. As they get older, we can let them know about some of the real threats and how they can start to protect themselves. But it is never the right thing to do to overly scare a child. You know, there were people on the Upper west side of Manhattan the night that President Trump won his first term who woke up their children, their school age children, to tell them to cry and to be scared. Those parents should have their children taken away from them. And I'm not joking. Well, they have company now when it comes to people like the folks living in North Carolina where the state Board of Education chair is telling everyone that ICE patrols are disrupting the public schools. The problem, Aaron, is ICE patrols aren't going into the schools. So what's he talking about? And isn't this, I mean, this has got to be the most reprehensible thing in the world to make children and their parents who have children who may have be too busy to follow all the news, frightened for their safety over nothing. This is not happening.
Aaron Boxer
That's right, Jake. First of all, you look great no matter what you're wearing. But we need to be honest. The absenteeism that's happening in North Carolina was high before These rates, and it's high across the country. Immigration reinforcement might cause short term spice, but the long term absenteeism crisis is driven by broader issues. Disengagement, mental health, and a system that really hasn't recovered since COVID As you pointed out, ICE isn't even setting foot on school property. But they blame this classroom disruption on immigration enforcement. A very convenient excuse, but it's not accurate. What's really happening is adults sending a message to kids that law enforcement itself is something to fear, you know?
Jake Novak
Yeah, you added the detail that I'd left out that this Board of Education chair is saying, well, kids aren't coming to school cuz they're afraid ICE is gonna snatch them up. Or they're afraid that if they get into the school, they'll find out where their parents live and their illegal aliens. The whole thing about absenteeism, you know, you could really make a bumper sticker. Having President Trump around means never having to say you're sorry if you're a Democrat. And by the way, this started with an incident in a school. This whole trend of using President Trump as an excuse to basically cover your mistakes started, I believe, with the Parkland shooting. You might remember the Broward county sheriff who ordered his deputies not to step in and save those children, somehow found a way to blame it on President Trump. And half the country supported the guy when it was really an open and shut case of malpractice on his part. And that started that ball rolling. And now, no matter how terrible a person you are, how much you're having a problem, like in the case of absenteeism in schools, which has been up because of all kinds of problems in our society, but also because of more homeschooling and the fact that these schools are failing our kids. And there's some parents who are keeping their kids out for good reason. But nevertheless, the lower number of kids going to schools is. There's a lot of reasons for it. And now they have a convenient fall guy. None of this, however, Aaron, could get anywhere without the help of the mainstream media, which is a terrible combination of dishonest, stupid, and really just awful groups of people. So they're not even smart enough to cover their own lies, though. Well, enough. I want you to listen to this actual paragraph. This is an actual paragraph which is still up on the ABC News website. And I'm going to read it to you word for word. I mean, this is just incredible. If this were an essay contest, they would lose. Here it is, quote, the Trump administration's surge in law enforcement has created a chilling effect on student attendance in school districts nationwide. But it appears that preliminary data and attendance trackers from some districts do not show a large scale enrollment pledge due to immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in your school grounds. In other words, we just said something's happening and the data says it's not happening. Again, if I were grading that paper as a teacher, I'd say you get an F because you just disproved your own argument. I mean, we really, if we really want to get ahead in education in America, we've got to get the professional morons who have the stage in this country to stand down.
Aaron Boxer
Exactly. You have the school officials with the mainstream media repeating that enforcement is terrifying and dangerous. And they're not calming kids down. They are running together a political campaign inside the classroom. And it turns every announcement into this partisan message. If you don't like a policy, you don't have to respect the law. That is very dangerous. The right to an education is not in question here. And no serious person is arguing that a child can't go to school because of their immigration status. What we're really talking about is optics and messaging. And this is an old playbook. Like after 9, 11, we saw a campaign of fear around policing and surveillance. Now it's the same strategy in schools. They're using the media to put out the messaging. This constant talk of terror and raids. And now we have civil rights violations that they're calling, that they're saying it is. And even when enforcement isn't happening on campuses at all, you know, where they.
Jake Novak
Use children the most to get a political message through.
Hamas, when they deliberately put children around weapons that they're trying to hide or they deliberately hide out in schools and in children's wards of hospitals. This is what this leads to. This is human shielding. Chilled child, human shielding on a rhetorical basis. And yes, I am comparing this strategy to, to Hamas strategy. It's the same thing using shielding, using humans, using innocent civilians as your weapon. It's also basically a very human nature thing for those of you who go to synagogue or church youth groups when the children lead the services or show what they've done in Sunday school of the year, you know what I mean? The stuff they do at the end of the school year where they get control of the service and all of the adults who have anything to do with the church or the synagogue decide to make their longest speeches that day because they've got the captive audience of the parents there. It's. So that's A more benign example. But the worst example is what we're seeing now. Now, if you want the another example of this where we've seen the results of decades of scaring children, I would say that it's a lot having to do with climate change, especially in places where we've seen young people since maybe the early 80s being told that the world's going to end any day now. The climate change scare tactic, of course, the extreme example of that is that Greta Thunberg, who was driven to mental illness, I believe, by the anxiety of climate change alarmism there. Listen, you can tell children that it's important not to pollute the world. That's the education system I grew up in, where it made all the sense in the world. Don't throw your soda can in the lake. Don't run your car for six hours for no reason. Don't dump chemicals into an ocean. All of that makes 100% sense. But telling kids that, listen, unless you turn off that TV and don't have children yourself, the world's going to end tomorrow has created a, a lot of Greta Thunbergs out there who are not able to function in society right now. Aaron.
Colonel Rob Manus
Right.
Aaron Boxer
I think that there's an end game here that if you repeat, federal enforcement is destroying education or tying in false narratives like the world is going to end because of climate change. And by the way, Bill Gates came out recently and he said that maybe climate change is not an existential threat. Right. We're not hearing too much about that. But we spent billions and billions of dollars on education, on these green jobs in the name of the world ending because of climate change. And all it does is just a way to get the federal government more involved, more oversight to fix things, local control, more power for the same people who, as we were talking about before, opening up the border in the first place. So we have school boards that are, are passing these narratives as well, and enforcement is, you know, disrupting learning. They're. They're not just talking about, like we mentioned before, about attendance. They're helping build a case for bigger federal education agencies and weaker local authority, which is exactly what many parents do not want. And it's the opposite of what is best for our kids.
Jake Novak
Yeah, I mean, really, I think a simple message that we can send to teachers, to the teachers unions, to school board administrators and supervisors, superintendents, is you should never be using fear as any part of your messaging. You can. Private. Listen, if you want to go to a politician privately and say, listen, I'm worried about this I'm worried about that, that's different. But to tell the children to be afraid, to go publicly and talk about fear and use it as a tool for your messaging with the children and using the children as your human shield or as your weapon, it should be an immediately fireable offense. Something that there's got to talk about accountability. We've been talking about that on this program all, all this hour. Bureaucrats who have no accountability never leads to anything good. And we really have to stop that. Aaron Boxer, thank you so much for joining us. If you're a parent watching, make sure that your children have a realistic grip because their teachers and their administrators are trying to scare your children to get what they want. And that to me is child abuse. Aaron, have a great rest of your week. Let's, let's hope it's better news for the next few days until the weekend. Thank you.
Aaron Boxer
Hopefully. Thanks, Jake.
Jake Novak

They tell me this is Gaylord Mission and that's two feet of snow on the ground if you like your winter Christmas season vignettes. There you go. And it looks not too cold, though, this morning. So maybe that some of that snow is going to melt.
Aaron Boxer
It's cold.
Jake Novak
It's still cold. Welcome back to American Sunrise early edition. Oh, thank you. To ARC Patriot 1946. Who says that blue, dark blues are good colors for me. That's a good point. Give me brown a chance. You know, every once in a while I got to wear some brown. I think it looks good in off camp. A little bit better off camera than on, but I'm giving it a chance. So thanks for everyone for your fashion advice. I need it, believe me. I'm not a stylist. I know you're shocked, but I'm not. Unfortunately, we have to talk a little bit about some more disturbing news right now. News out of Colorado, where a federal judge has ruled that former Colorado state employee Tina Peters must serve all nine years. Nine years for a nonviolent crime. Remember, this is the woman who got hold of some state records to prove that there were some real irregularities in the 2020 election. What a surprise. David Brody, you know, joins us right now. Obviously, one of the things that's really upsetting here is that these are state charges. And it's really, really difficult, if not impossible, for President Trump to pardon Tina Peters. Now, what he can do is continue to direct the Justice Department and other assets of the administration to try to appeal her case further. But I think, David, the best thing that can be done for her right now is for people like you and me to continue pounding the table over this. This is a non violent crime. There were a lot of irregularities. I mean, can we just all be adults here and admit we had an irregular election. You don't wanna believe that it was stolen. We can table that part of the discussion. But it was a very irregular, not good, not well conducted election, period. And for someone to serve nine years in prison for showing us evidence of that is just simply outrageous.
David Brody
Jake, the blue state of Colorado is holding her up as basically an example. They wanna show the United States, the world, if you will, that they're not going to tolerate her type of shenanigans, which is ridiculous. You know, she was threatened with her life literally in jail. This is what her lawyer, her lawyer sent a letter to President Trump saying her life has been threatened in jail, that people wanted to kill her in jail. She believes that she's going to die and be killed in jail. That's according to Tina Peters. What's going on, Jake, is a travesty and it needs to stop and it needs to stop now. The problem is, as you say, difficult, if not impossible for the president to do anything about it. Look, the only way this has a shot is if President Trump decides to challenge this in court. And here's what I mean. Article 2, Section 2 of the Constitution says indeed that a president can just pardon for federal crimes. However, and this is a state crime, not a federal crime. However, the lawyer for Tina Peters is, is arguing that, hey, this has been never raised in court. Let's give it a shot. And you say, well, what is it? What is it? Has never been raised in court. Let me read you what he says, and it's just a line or two here, but I think it's important. He says the question of whether a president can pardon for state offenses has never been raised in any court. He went on to tell the President this in the letter. The issue which needs to be answered, whether our founders understood or intended when they wrote that the President had the pardon, the power to pardon offenses against the United States if it means the states or only the federal government. So basically he's going on to say, did it mean one central authority or did they mean the plural, meaning the states which were united? Look, it's a long shot, okay, It's a long shot. But President Trump, this just in is a bit unconventional, if we haven't heard by now. So you never know if he might do it. That's her only shot. The only other shot, Jay, quite frankly. And it's not only a long shot, it's a really, really deeply, deep, deep, deep, long shot, which is that Jared Polis, the governor of Colorado and the governor of Colorado is the only that can pardon her. He's a Democrat. He's term limited. He's gone in 2026. If a Republican can win, they haven't won in 23 years out there. But if the Republican can win.
Then maybe she has a shot in a year and a half or so.
Colonel Rob Manus
Yeah.
Jake Novak
So we've come full circle on this program. We were talking about Justice Kahtani Brown, Jackson, Jackson not wanting accountability. Tina Peters is in jail because states like Colorado don't want to be held accountable to the voters and to the truth. Accountability leads to good results. No accountability leads to bad results. And we've known that since the year one American Sunrise, the big show is coming up right now from 8 to 10. I'll see you around 9. 25 early edition comes back for a Thursday, tomorrow at 7.
