All right, this is AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY edition. Here are the headlines that matter. First. I'm Brian Glenn. Unfolding right now, here's what's driving the day across the Southeast, a powerful bomb cyclone slamming the region, hurricane force winds blinding snow, entire communities in the dark from North Carolina to Florida. This storm is paralyzing travel and testing the infrastructure. What's next and how long will it last? That's straight ahead. Meanwhile, what began as an awareness spirals into chaos. The ice out movement goes national protests turn violent. Daytime marches, nighttime arrest. The current clash straight ahead. And on Wall street, the market shock for the history books. Silver down more than 30% and its worst day since 1980. Gold tumbling down double digits. Massive sell off right now, the opening bell hours away. Investors are bracing for what comes next. American SUNRISE EARLY EDITION starts right now.

American SUNRISE EARLY EDITION on REAL america's VOICE starts now.
Brian Glenn
All right, Good morning as we kick off this February. Thanks so much for joining us. Lots in the news, but right now let's turn it over to meteorologist Tracy Anthony in our studios. Good morning, Tracy. For all of those that are watching right now, what do you what you see down at the bottom of the screen? Scan that QR code and you join the Weather Nation family. Even better, you get your hometown forecast right here. So head over to Real America's Voice, the chats on Getter Rumble, YouTube and all of that. But first, let's take toss it over to Tracy. Big weather story again as we go into February.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah, you know, we were dealing with that massive storm system over the weekend and it left snowfall totals very impressive even along the coast. And I know, Brian, last week we were talking about even beach erosion. And that's where we did have some impacts as well. So snowfall totals upwards of 22 inches. So we're talking close to 2ft of snow. And some of this snow was right along that shoreline. Now, we also had winds up to 60, 70 miles per hour. And that did cause another home in the Outer Banks to fall into or to collapse into the Atlantic. But look at that. That's where that snow was kind of concentrated just right near the coast. And North Carolina still under winter weather advisories, even though a lot of that SN has wrapped up. The cold, cold temperatures are keeping those roads extremely icy and extremely slick. So hazardous travel here this morning. And that stretches down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Now, if we expand across the Southeast, it's not just the winter weather advisories, but look at this. We have the extreme cold warnings. So a lot of us are feeling temperatures 20, 30 degrees below our typical daytime temperature. And our overnight temperatures are breaking records. And we broke a record here in West Palm beach yesterday morning. 30 degrees is where we started off the day. So areas like South Florida, West Palm Beach, Miami, they also broke a record at 35. Haven't felt temperatures this cold since 2010. So this is definitely a shock to the system for us here in South Florida. But over the course of the next couple of days, Washington, D.C. still going to be trending below average. And unfortunately, Brian, we are bracing for another big plunge and a big cool down by the end of the work week into this weekend. So we're not going to get to those seasonably normal temperatures anytime soon. And the temperatures are really the big story because if we look at that precipitation outlook, we're not picking up much in the way of rain or snow here across the region for the next day. As we get into Wednesday, though, we are going to be tracking another system that will bring some rain to the Southeast. It's also going to bring another shot of snow to areas like Virginia and across the mid Atlantic. So that's going to be kind of that next big weather system we're tracking into the week this week. Now if we take you out to the west coast, that's where temperatures are setting record highs. So it's extremely warm. We kind of have a 180 depending on which coast you're on. Brian.
Brian Glenn
You know, Tracy, it's interesting. We were kind of talking in the break that we came off a very uneventful hurricane season. Right. Almost. If I'm not mistaken, no major hurricane even touched land. And then we transition into winter. And I would have never thought that people down in West Palm beach would have to leave their faucet stripping overnight to ensure that you don't have any pipes that freeze. What a crazy weather pattern we've had so far.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah, you know, we were kind of stuck in the La Nina weather pattern where it's very active across the northern half of the country. And now the last two weeks we've started to see that shift where we're getting these storms out of the south and those south storms are pulling that cold air down south to south Florida. So that's why we're really feeling it here. And hey, I wish that cold air can stay up by you guys.
Brian Glenn
All right, well, thank you so much. We'll see you on the American Sunrise edition. Now with our lucky hometown forecast selections. Make sure you scan that QR code and get signed up with that. All right? If you start this morning, you want to begin with God's word. Today's verse comes from Romans 5, 8. It reads, But God demonstrates his own love for us in this. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Praise God. Good way to start today. Now moving on, nationwide protests. Anti ice protests. They're billed as awareness descends into chaos. Less awareness and more arrest. It's interesting. I was in California over the weekend and I saw flyers on fronts of businesses saying, hey, we're not going to be open today. We're going to ice out nationwide, be a part of this movement. I thought to myself, myself, this has to be one of the dumbest ideas the left has ever come up with. As far as they want to basically shut down their business, not allow their employees to make money, not allow us to generate revenue for the business so they can pay their bills. All the name of stopping these protests. Now, these protests trace back to Minneapolis and which is ground zero for all of this chaos. Of course, it's a massive fraud allegations. Now check this out. Dr. Oz said that he's uncovering similar red flags in Los Angeles. Take a look at this.
Dr. Oz
So you can see these are medical buildings. They've got Cyrillic writing, Russian, Armenian writing. Both sides. There's lots of action. It seems. I don't know how many patients are getting care, but in this four block area in Los Angeles, there are 42 hospices. So either there are a lot of people dying here or you've got a fraudulent activity that is so good that everyone wants to get in on it. I'm in Bed Nuys in Los Angeles and this boarded up area above my head here is a big hospice center. There are apparently quite a few hospices around here. 42 within a four block radius. And these guys stole $16 million. Listen carefully. The main guy went to jail for two years stealing $16 million. It's a good trade off for a lot of folks. And if you look at it, it's pretty in the script. There wasn't anyone really in there. They weren't doing any services. They just got an address they could claim was a hospice and then they ran the business claiming people were at home getting services, which they really weren't. What we have Learned is there's roughly $3.5 billion fraud taking place here in Los Angeles in hospice and home care is run, quite a bit of it by the Russian Armenian mafia. You notice the lettering and language behind me is of that dialect. And it also highlights the fact that this is an organized crime mafia deal where you've got folks who have systemically recruited doctors to write false prescriptions. Hundreds of doctors participating. They've got 100,000 patients who they've tricked or paid to give them their beneficiary numbers so they can perpetuate the fraud, fraud. And then the criminals are just running the whole organization and quickly scurrying away when law enforcement does get around to prosecuting them. Unfortunately, in California, there has not been a lot of attention on these problems. That's going to change. The U.S. attorney, the FBI, everyone's now focused on the fact that in this state, which has about $30 billion worth of home and community based services, most of it might be fraudulent. Those are big numbers and we're taking it seriously. President's not going to tolerate this anymore.
Brian Glenn
If you're just like me. All of this fraud that they're able to expose, these are from, like independent journalists, if you will. We'll have, we'll talk a little bit more about that later. I'm in communication with Dr. Oz as of yesterday. He's going to give us more information on what he found there in Van Nuys. All right. With protests spreading, President Trump is warning deep blue cities they're on their own and that only federal property will get full protection. The bottom line is this. No federal help without request. Federal property will be defended. ICE and Border Patrol order to act forcefully. Local leaders responsible for their own city. Now, law and order is the bottom line on this. And I am 100% in agreement with President Trump on this topic. I think we need to protect our federal agencies, protect federal buildings there, and let these Democrat mayors and these Democrat governors deal with the mess that they created. Now, you can go from the chaos side, from the protest for the, you know, protests on ice. Then you've got the fraud, you've got all of that. And as Dr. Oz had spoken about with the hospice situation, they've also got a daycare problem. We'll talk a little bit later in the show about that down south of San Diego. But what is really interesting is, once again, what is making headlines is the fraud, the corruption and the abuse of taxpayer dollars. That is what is so upsetting in all of this. And then there's so many foreign conflicts. And there's so many things that are in the news right now, but this type of activities, defrauding taxpayer dollars, most of the time it's from a foreign born immigrant that's come here. They know how to set up shop. They know exactly what to file. This is a well organized machine when it comes to defrauding the American taxpayer dollars. And as Dr. Oz gave an example, I mean, $60 million and he's got two years in prison. That's not a bad trade off. I think a lot of them, a lot of people might basically be willing to do that. We'll keep an eye on that situation. I know that we're hoping to get Dr. Oz on the show here the next couple of days to talk more about what he's finding. So coming up, from Minnesota to California, the fraud trial is expanding. And the person who put California, Nick Shirley on the radar joins us. Coming up. Stick around. American SUNRISE EARLY EDITION starts right now. All right. Welcome back, AMERICA Sunrise EARLY edition. I am Brian Glenn. This is a quick look you're looking at right now, the groundhog's ceremony. And as I was saying earlier to our control room, if that little rat comes out of the ground, it mentions two words about extending winter, it's going to be open season on him. And I will come prepared to take care of that situation. But anyway, we'll keep, we'll keep an eye on what his forecast is coming up, but we've got a quick check of some other headlines that we're tracking right now. The Melania documentary had had a huge box office over the weekend, the strongest opening for any documentary in nearly a decade. Despite predictability of the media pretty much smeared it. Audiences showed up and proved them wrong. I, I'm a big fan of the Melania thing. Just gonna say. All right, next headline, bill and Hillary Clinton face contempt of Congress. House Republicans set to vote on this this week. After subpoenas were ignored in the Epstein investigation, the decision now moves to the House. There'll be a vote on that. We'll see how that goes. And also one more crossing the wires. California wants to tax you get this for every mile you drive. That's another reason to leave that state. Pay by the mile. The state says it needs money, it needs money. What as the gas tax revenue falls, electric cars rise even as billionaires and major companies continue to leave. The bottom line for California, nothing is free. We're definitely going to talk more about that story a little bit later in the week as I've got some, some intel on it. So I'd like to share that with you. All right, now to an developing investigation. Journalist Nick Shirley was on the ground in California investigating so called ghost daycares in San Diego. They were licensed, they were funded, but they had no kids. Check it out.
Tracy Anthony
It's Nick Sherry, our state guys, look.
Brian Glenn
There'S 14 children enrolled here. You don't care. This is my dicker.
Tracy Anthony
Then where are the children?
Podcast Host
You don't care.
Brian Glenn
Where are the children at? It's not enough. Marisola, you come here.
Tracy Anthony
It's not enough.
Brian Glenn
Crazy. And the person put California on the radar. Working with Nick Shirley joins us now. Amy Reichard, the chairman of Restore San Diego. Amy, take us back to the beginning of all of this. How did you first learn about these suspected ghost daycares? So interesting.
Podcast Host
I was really inspired by Nick Shirley and what he was doing in Minnesota. So I started researching state inspection records of these daycares, and a very clear pattern emerged. The state would come in and inspect these places. There would be up to 39 kids enrolled and 0 kids present. In the middle of the day, in the middle of the week, over and over and over. And that's when I reached out to Nick Shirley and I said, come on out to California.
Brian Glenn
Yeah. And so how long did it take you before you found one, and then you found another, and then you found another? Was it pretty much instant that the fraud was there?
Podcast Host
So I went about this alphabetically. I did not focus on any ethnic group. And I started with the A's. And within the first hour, I found three.
Tracy Anthony
Three.
Podcast Host
It was amazing.
Brian Glenn
Okay, so I'm sure Gavin Newsom doesn't want any of this negative. He wants to root out the fraud and abuse and corruption in his state. So I'm assuming that he reached out to you, Amy, and said, all right, what can we do to stop this? Right.
Podcast Host
We all know fraud is bad. And what was Gavin Newsom's reaction? He reacted by disabling some of the search fields that we were using on the public record database. Oh, yeah. And then his Gavin Newsom press office, which is an X account run with our tax dollars, called me Donald Trump's stooge. So, you know, that's when you know you're onto something, is when they're name calling you and trying to shut you down.
Brian Glenn
Yeah. Is there any, I would say, like, we had Somalia in Minnesota. Is there any type of what nationality that's behind some of these fraud cases? Or is it just. Is it just everyone?
Podcast Host
So I'm in San Diego and we have the fourth largest population of Somalians living here. And it was because Obama actually focused on certain areas of the country to do resettlement.
Tracy Anthony
That's just a fact.
Podcast Host
That's not my opinion. And you cannot tell just by looking at these public records if someone is Somalian or not. But I can tell you when Nick and I started knocking on some of these learning centers. Yes, the licensees, the owners were Somalian.
Brian Glenn
So we've got the hospice situation there in Van Eyes, which is LA County. Then you go south of San Diego. We've got the fraudulent day cares. You know, there's, there's no, there's, there's no. The fact that America was in love with Doge just clearly defines why you guys are doing this right now. It's usually successful. How can people keep up with you? I know you guys are on the ground there doing your thing. What's the best way to do that in social media?
Podcast Host
Absolutely. So I was just appointed special investigator in charge of California Doge. So reach out to me. You can find me on exit Amy for San Diego. I'm also on Instagram, I check every single message. So believe me, if you have proof of fraud, I will read your message.
Brian Glenn
Amy, I appreciate that. Let's stay on top of the story. We'll have you back on because I think this will develop across the country as we root out that waste, fraud and abuse by independent journalists like you. We really appreciate it, Amy. Thank you.
Podcast Host
Thank you.
Brian Glenn

Seth Denson
Gentlemen, gather rounds.
Brian Glenn
Well, we'll find out if Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow or not. We're going to have six weeks more of winter.
Dr. Oz
We have a scroll.
Brian Glenn
Oh, here we go. Let's listen in.
American Sunrise Announcer
Okay.
Groundhog Ceremony Announcer
Everybody in.
Brian Glenn
Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye.
Groundhog Ceremony Announcer
Now on this February 2nd, Punxsutawney Phil, the seer of seers, prognosticator of all prognosticators, was awakened from his wintry nap at dawn on Gobbler's Knob. Phil looked to the skies and then, speaking in groundhog ease, directed President Dunkle to the proper scroll, which reads, it's my great honor to answer your annual call. So I rise again this morning to greet you all. But today I wake thinking of numbers and time. America turns 250 and I'm at least 139. Let's celebrate all young, old, babies or millennial and kick off America's semi quincentennial. We look to the future and not just the past. So I suppose this party could use a forecast. It is my job this February 2nd to look to the skies and report back to you that there is a shadow here on my ground. Six more weeks of winter abound.
Brian Glenn
I don't want to hear it. Dip out of that. Dip out of that. Our six more weeks of winter. No. All right, let's focus back on these markets right now. Markets are on the edge this morning. Just about 30 minutes away from the opening bell. Gold silver coming off a sell off not seen in decades, leaving investors watching closely for what comes next. Joining us now is Seth Denson, a business and market analyst for one thing. First of all, Seth, I want to get your thoughts on Punxsutawney Phil real quickly. Calling for more winter.
Seth Denson
Meanwhile in the market, springtime is here again. Brian, that's my prediction. I will say, and you know this well being A Texas guy. I still have about 3 inches of ice and snow on the ground in my front yard. So I couldn't be more eager for those 90 plus degree days that we get here in Texas.
Brian Glenn
So I agree. All right. All right. Well, the market has been hot, obviously. President Trump announcing a new Fed chairman. Kevin Warsh, first of all, what's your thoughts on him? And then we'll get into what you can potentially see happening in these markets.
Seth Denson
You know, depending on what radio station you're dialed into. Brian, you had a lot of trepidation over who Trump was going to pick, was going to pick a puppet, was going to pick a true economist that really understood monetary policy. He went with the latter, by the way. So any of these naysayers, by the way, this is why we saw gold and silver doing. What it was doing was because people sometimes don't get their information from true sources. And unfortunately they were buying into the lie that the President was just going to pick a puppet that didn't really understand economics policy. He didn't. He picked someone that has been around the block that understands this. The youngest Fed governor actually in history, he served during the Bush administration, came in and six, this is a true economist that understands the importance of balanced monetary policy. And we're seeing that in the markets and how those investors are reacting this morning.
Brian Glenn
Okay, so we reported gold, silver moving quite a bit. Your thoughts on that?
Seth Denson
Well, so people will flood to gold and silver, precious metals, when they're concerned about what the broad global economy is doing and specifically the US Economy, given as big of a player as we are in the global economy, we saw that starting to rise during the Biden administration, obviously when people just kind of didn't understand at all what was going on with monetary policy. Janet Yellen going completely insane over how she was running the Treasury Department. And so fast forward now and gold and silver has really been at an all time high awaiting this pick. What happened was when this was announced, people, investors specifically went, okay, we've got seriousness coming in, we've got more of a balanced approach. Jerome Powell, nobody really trusts anything the guy says anymore. Talking about transitory and all these other things. And now you have somebody that's coming in. That's why we're seeing a sell off. It's the expectation that the dollar will strengthen and that the markets will be more stable going forward.
Brian Glenn
What about interest rates? Just talk about that, how that affects everything from down from mortgages to auto financing. How do you see that playing into the market?
Seth Denson
You know, I don't know that Warsh will be a big presser of lowering interest rates. And honestly Brian, I don't know that we need to see interest rates lower. Would need to see see is the 10 year treasury balance out? Because right now yields are still up over 4%. When you think about where what we call basis points, that's the amount over the Fed fund rate that drives actual monetary accessibility. So the, so where I get a loan for a mortgage or a business gets a loan for their business, it follows the ten year Treasury. And what we're seeing right now is we're seeing mortgages about 200 to 250 basis points over where the fund rate is. It should be about 150 basis points. That means we should be seeing mortgages around 5% which would do amazing things for the overall economy. But the challenge right now is this lack of economic certainty. That's what's driving investors up. It also is a driver of what we saw again as I mentioned earlier under the Biden administration, so many treasury bonds issued because the government kept printing money over and over again and they were open about it. So my hope is, is that what will, what we will see in the coming months as Warsh takes his position is that long term investors realize the US Economy is not as risky as it once was. And we start to see that 10 year treasury come down, we see those basis points come down over and above the Fed fund rate and people can access mortgages and business loans again.
Brian Glenn
Beth, you always break it down in a way that we can, we can understand it. I just wish I could tell you that you can put that ice scraper away there in Dallas, but it looks like you're going to have to keep that in your car. You've got some more winter coming your way.
Seth Denson
The air conditioning will come soon enough, my friend.
Brian Glenn
That is true. That is true. I appreciate your time. Thanks for joining us. All right, before we get a break, let's a quick word for another one of our sponsors. I love these guys. American Sunrise Announcer
Welcome to American Sunrise EARLY edition, the show where faith, freedom and the values that build this nation take center stage.
Brian Glenn
All right. Welcome back. America's Sunrise EARLY edition. I am Brian Glenn. Let's go over to the Denver newsroom for the latest headlines with the one and only T. Bates. Terrence, good morning to you, buddy.
Terrence Bates
Hey, Brian, good morning. Happy Monday to you. It was a busy, busy weekend, Brian, and a lot to talk about on this Monday morning. Let's start with Iran, which is back on the clock this morning. President Trump saying that Tehran is seriously talking. That's a quote. They're seriously talking. Apparently, however, he's keeping all options on the table, including military strikes, U.S. warships, as you know, Brian, are headed to the Middle East. President Trump is out with this message saying that we're going to keep a strong posture and that he's open to a deal, quote, I hope they negotiate something acceptable. Brian, what are your sources at the White House telling you in terms of what may happen moving forward? How optimistic are you that Iran is going to negotiate in good faith and that there will be a, quote, acceptable deal?
Brian Glenn
I think as time goes on, I think there will be an acceptable deal. I kind of predict it in a way, and I did it in a joking way, but I didn't mean any joke by this that we would perhaps strike them over the weekend, kind of being a consistent pattern, especially moving all those assets in that region. So I'm very optimistic. Now, if President Trump indeed has said that they are, you know, open or if he seems optimistic, then this is good progress.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, it's definitely good progress. You know, the one thing that gives me pause, Brian, is it's Iran. And I hate to say that, but it's Iran. That's what gives me pause. And even if there is a deal that that is struck, I'm wondering how long they'll actually adhere to that agreement. You know, Iran has been known to enter agreements and then within months, sometimes even within weeks, veer left on the agreement. And then we're back to point A.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, you know, you're right. And I noticed a lot of protests around the country in Los Angeles over the weekend. There was a big one outside of a city hall, a lot of Iranian Americans there protesting, at least I think protesting being there in support of making a deal. So people want change. Let's just see if it happens.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, it's funny, and maybe I'm just this shallow, but there's a Netflix series about Persian families and it basically is all these families. It's. I guess. What is that show? Basketball Wives, Persian Wives or something like that. And it's about Iranian immigrants who are pretty rich, living in Beverly Hills now. And I've kind of gotten addicted to that to some degree only because of the situation in Iran. I'm like, oh, okay, this is kind of interesting, kind of weird. Side note, I know I'm just that shallow, Brian. All right, so look, ICE agents, don't. Don't tell anybody else that I actually mentioned that and that I actually watched that. ICE agents, as I was saying, I've been forced to chase a sex predator after a judge let the guy walk. The guy actually walked out the back door of a Manhattan courthouse. You see the headline here from the New York Post. The suspect is a migrant with a pretty violent past. This is his picture. His prior arrests include drugs, attempted rape, strangulation. Wow. Eye sources are furious, as you can imagine, Brian, why was this guy allowed to leave at all? It's crazy that he would be in court with that sort of history and be allowed to walk out the back door and now once again be on the streets and potentially terrorize Americans.
Brian Glenn
I don't understand it. Now, Ben Berklam just the other day was talking about that. What happens when they release these, these illegal immigrants from jail? It becomes a street race. It becomes. As soon as they walk out the back door or the front door, it becomes a chase that goes on to, you know, the city streets. This is endangering. This is public safety issue that I don't know why. They can't physically say, okay, here's this criminal. I'm going to turn them over to you. Why does this have to be some sort of a Grand Theft Auto episode in real life? I think it's ridiculous. I wish they had a better policy and that if they did, if they look under the Obama administration and we know how it took, they were able. The jails cooperated with ICE and immigration officials. They handed over these people. Now it seems like it's the latest episode on Cops. We'll let them go out the back door. You chase them. That way, we'll see how it turns out. It's bizarre.
Terrence Bates
And it's a public safety issue at its very core. At its root, grassroots, however low you want to get, it's a public safety issue.
Brian Glenn
I really just don't understand it. I mean, do they hate Trump that much? Do they hate the government? Do they hate the whole process? I mean, I don't know why they think this is the best way. And if you've been along the Texas, Mexico border, a lot of these pursuits, this was every day. I mean, they had tragic car accidents from. From people, coyotes that would pick up people on the run, and the police, local authorities would have these high speed chases. It's dangerous. And even something on foot like this is dangerous as well. This is because there's no telling what could happen in the process of this guy trying to get away. I wish they would change this policy. This is putting everybody in danger.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. Absolutely. All right, Brian, want to shift gears a little bit? Quick question for you. As a kid. We're around the same age.
Brian Glenn
Oh, yeah.
Terrence Bates
Prepare yourself. Brace yourself, Brian. We're around the same age as a kid. Did you want to be James T. Kirk or were you more of a Luke Skywalker kind of kid?
Brian Glenn
I was more of a Luke Skywalker. I was 100% Star Wars. I went to the opening day. I have every single Star wars collectible, original action figure, the ships. I have it all. I'm a big Star wars fan. But I have a little bit of a take on going to the moon, though. And without setting off. Without setting off alarms this early in the morning. I'll let you get into that story and I'll show you my thoughts on that.
Terrence Bates
Okay, so see, you just gave away my setup. I was trying to set it up right. America is going back to the moon for the first time. More than 30, actually, 50 years. NASA is actually beginning a full practice countdown at the moment. Four astronauts in quarantine as we speak. The new moon rocket is on the pad and ready to go. The launch window is just days away. We're hearing, there you have it. You can see the rocket on the launch pad. This would be the first crewed lunar set mission since 1972. There's not going to be a landing in this particular case, Brian, just to fly by. But obviously, this is very cool. I would love to be an astronaut. This is something that I would do. You know, when Elon Musk started or whoever it was, started doing those space tourism flights, if I could afford one of those to launch into space, Even if just for 15, 20 minutes, oh, I would be all over it, my friend.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, I think it's very interesting. I think the joint partnership they have with Elon Musk is amazing. And it's interesting about the moon. I'm one of those critics, and I know that there's a generation out there right now, Terrence, it's about to throw the remote control at the TV or They're about to throw their phone into the Potomac. But I question the authenticity of actually going to the moon. Now, I know that's a very controversial topic, but I'm glad you saying.
Terrence Bates
I'm sure. Explain. Are you saying that you don't think we really went to the moon? The. You know, that that was fake to some degree? Is that what you're saying?
Brian Glenn
Yes.
Terrence Bates
Wow. Okay. Okay, I'm all ears. I would love to hear more on this. Go ahead.
Brian Glenn
Well, go ahead. There's a lot of documentaries that talk about whether or not we went to the moon or not. I look at some of the technology that supposedly was in place then that they didn't have then. We just later, decades later, came up with some of the battery technology. I've just got a lot of questions. I question everything now, Terence. I'm sorry, I just questioned.
Terrence Bates
I'm not mad at that, but I'm. I'm definitely not mad at that. Go ahead. Sorry.
Brian Glenn
But I'm very happy that we've made a commitment to go back to the moon. And I don't want to just fly by, Terrence. I want to go to the moon. I want. I want. If they can live stream just about anything. Which, by the way, by the way, was a telecommunications technology up to par back in 19. What was it, 68 when they went to the moon? Was that 68?
Terrence Bates
69.
Seth Denson
60.
Terrence Bates
In the 60s. I don't remember the exact.
Brian Glenn
From 69 or from 68 to 72 is when we made several trips there. But I don't mind. Sure, the technology was in. Even invented for some of the immediate communications. Think about this for a second. When, when I go remotely and I'm on a live view, a satellite unit, for those that are watching us at home, there might be two, three, four second delays. The latency in that because of just the way that everything's transmitted. So you're telling me that almost in real time, someone in the Johnson Space center can communicate to somebody in the moon, and it's almost instantly back and forth, like you and I were talking on a analog line? I don't know. I. I know. Hey, Terrence, I know right now there's a lot of people at home that are just saying, this guy's crazy. I don't know what he put in his coffee this morning. I, I don't know what, what kind of weekend he had. But there's absolutely, positively. We went to the moon and this guy's crazy. And then there's others that are saying, okay, he's Onto something. At least they're awake right now. Terrence.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. It's healthy to question any and all things. So I'm not necessarily mad at that. But let's broaden the scope a little bit to current day. The reality is the new race is the space race. This is really all about conquering space, if you will, or getting your piece of the pie, planting your flag, your proverbial flag as a country in space and getting the technology, because ultimately that's the next frontier. And I know I'm adding metaphors, if you will, from these various TV shows, but that really is the next. The next kind of phase, if you will, of exploration and of. Of kind of moving the needle forward is basically getting ahead when it comes to space exploration and all of the technology that goes into it.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, well, we were trying to race Russia on the space race. It was very political at the time. We had to beat Russia to the moon, which we did. And now we've got to beat China. So now we enter another country that we're competing, and it's almost like it's the political industrial complex or now it's the science industrial complex. That always pits us up next to another country where we have to compete with them, because if we don't beat them, we don't beat Russia to the moon, the world's going to collapse. And if we don't beat China in the space race, we're going to lose.
Terrence Bates
I don't know.
Brian Glenn
I look at as one big, you know, fake competition that if I wouldn't ask 100Americans. Are you concerned about going to the moon? Terrence? They're concerned about buying, you know, put their kids in college right now, not going to the moon. But I do think it's pretty cool, though.
Terrence Bates
No, it's definitely cool. Brian. I learned more about you in that segment than I think I've learned about you in the last three years that we've worked together. That was super fascinating. Don't call me, I'll call you.
Brian Glenn
I like that, Terrence. God bless you. We'll see you in about 20 minutes on the other side. All right, Brian. All right. And coming soon to a saint near you. New name, same tomb. All right, welcome back, America Sunrise, early edition. That's a beautiful shot right there. Beautiful Sunrise. Joining us now is the beautiful David Brody. Now that's a transition for you right there, David.
David Brody
Well, thanks for calling me beautiful, Brian. I'll kind of deal with that later in my therapy session. But thank you. I appreciate it.
Brian Glenn
Yeah. All right. We're going into February. We got the government funding, we got shut down. We have the Senate, we have Iran, we have Somalia fraud now being discovered in Southern California at these daycare centers. We've got fraud up the coast in LA County. Dr. Oz Uncovering fraud in regards to hospices. What else can we put in the news today?
David Brody
Well, we're pretty much done at that point. We filled the template. There's really not much else to discuss. So back to you, Brian.
Brian Glenn
But look, there you go. Have a great day.
David Brody
Yeah. Very 1975 of me to say back to you, Brian. Like, didn't they say that in the 70s? I don't know, but that's a separate issue. Can I just add one more thing into the template? The Grammys last night. Let me just say if you are in the fabric business at the Grammys, you're gonna be out of business pretty soon because there was limited amounts of fabric on some of those costumes and that's what they were. I mean, this was like Comic Con gone crazy in terms of just like the liberal stratosphere stuff. I mean, it was so, so weird. It was just like being on. It literally looked like you were on an planet last night at the Grammys. And by the way, Bad Bunny, he did that stuff about ice out. I mean. Oh, gosh, will you stop? And then Billie Eilish, who, by the way, freaks me out. She's just weird. The whole thing is weird. Justin Bieber was performing in his underpants. I mean, listen, all I know is that I didn't watch the Grammys, by the way. But you know, I have to do my due diligence, Brian, and see what kind of crazy stuff they said so we can make fun of them this morning and indeed we'll have a lot of material.
Brian Glenn
We have a lot of material. I did watch the Grammys, and I had, you know, kind of a special interest in watching the Grammys last night, but I noticed I was waiting for every recipient to break into the stolen land. We don't deserve to be here. Everyone deserves to be here. And I was like, well, time out on that. If you're legal, you deserve to be here. If you're legal, you're not deserved to be. So I knew it would turn into that. But apparently Trevanova, Trevor, Noah, it's his last year on cbs, so I think it goes to another network. So they basically are saying goodbye to the Grammys. So probably it's not a viewership is down, so it's probably not a bad thing.
David Brody
That's true. And by the way, real quick, Trump's gonna sue him. You know, after midnight he put out that truth social saying, hey, Trevor, no, no, I didn't go to Epstein Ion because, you know, he basically said that on the Grammys that Trump went to mc and Trump said, oh, yeah, I'll see you in court, brother. And wow, that's where it's gone.
Brian Glenn
Well, we're going to see you in about five and a half minutes as American Sunrise continues. We appreciate you joining us. Until next time, goodbye. God bless. We'll see you back here Tomorrow morning at 7am we'll see you. Have a great day.
