Guaranteed Human. All right. Welcome to American SUNRISE EARLY edition. I am Brian Glenn. Coming up, the MAGA fallout or demanding? I'm sorry, the mag. The MAGA faithful is demanding answers in amid signals of a de escalation in Minnesota. The White House pushing back, saying moves are tactical. The base is watching closely how this gets navigated straight ahead, then up to the great white north. Alberta, Canada, home to vast oil and gas reserves, now talking about becoming its own country. Petitions are circulating. Support is growing. But why now? We have answers coming up. And later, a digital reset. TikTok under new US control. The platform adjusting, users reassessing headlines, focusing on the numbers. But what's the whole story? What's really changing? American Sunrise EARLY EDITION starts right now. Welcome to American SUNRISE EARLY edition, the show where faith, freedom and the values that built this nation take center stage. You people and others like you built this country. Join us as we break down the stories that matter faf.

American SUNRISE EARLY EDITION on REAL america's VOICE starts now. All right. Good morning. Let's do this thing. You're looking at a live shot at Times Square where a bomb cyclone that's kind of scary is barreling toward New York City. More snow, bitter cold, dangerous winds, you know, all the nice stuff. Warnings are going out across the Northeast now. A fast intensifying winter storm arriving on Saturday night. Whiteout conditions, possible wind chills into the single digits. That's cold below zero, Slippery roads, travel impacts expected. So let's bring in the person that knows all too well of what's going to happen, Tracy Anthony joining us from the Weather Nation Meteorology Center. This is a big deal and it seems like we're going what storm after storm after storm that if you're anywhere in the mid Atlantic or the Northeast or even deep south, you know what? We saw the storm this past week. Winter is here.
D
Yeah, definitely. And the last two storm systems especially have been storm storms that have worked out of the South. So they come with a ton of moisture and they're meeting that cool polar vortex air that's been in place. And now this next system, a coastal low that's going to work up the coast, hasn't even developed yet, but the model's already starting to align and agree that this storm system is going to really pack a punch. So want to just kind of show you where. This is expected to form off the coast of the Southeast, south from Friday into Saturday, and then it's expected to work up the coast throughout the day on Sunday. So this low will pump in that Atlantic moisture and it's going to meet the cold air that's in place. So as that low continues to trek up the coast, look at that pressure gradient. So that's why we're talking about a bomb cyclone. So this is going to be a very powerful low pressure center. It's not just going to bring a good amount of snow, but it's also going to bring some strong gusty winds. We're talking about winds up to 50 miles per hour. So along the coast, we'll definitely have some big impacts. But, Brian, as for the snow, we do have winter storm watches that have been issued for areas like Richmond, Virginia, all the way down to Myrtle beach and as far west as Knoxville, Tennessee. So these areas were already hit last weekend with the ice and the snow, and now we're going to get more on top of it. And I'm talking significant snow, Snowfall. We're talking 5 to 8 inches for Raleigh and can't rule out up to 12 inches for some of the spots into the higher elevations. So this is going to be a big deal. And I know cities and towns already clearing snow from last weekend trying to make room for this next round. Brian?
B
Yeah, Tracy. At one point in my career I worked in the mid Atlantic right there in North Carolina. And let me tell you something, when these, when these systems come up the eastern seaboard there, especially with the cold wind going over the water, it is a cold place to be. And a lot of beach erosion, as you can imagine, should that be a concern of places like the Outer Banks of North Carolina? Is there any beach erosion in those areas?
D
Yeah, definitely. By Sunday, we're expecting wave heights that could be up to 29ft. So you've got 50 mile per hour winds, extremely large waves. Beach erosion is definitely going to be another underlying variable that could have impacts from the storm.
B
Tracy, we appreciate you getting up early for us, letting us know about this bomb cyclone. Who comes up with these names, by the way?
D
I don't know. It's like the polar vortex that's actually a real thing, but they just kind of start trending and now we're stuck with it.
B
There we go. Thank you so much. Stay warm.
D
You, too.
B
All right, as we start this morning, we want to begin with God's word. It's always a good thing. Today's verse comes from Philippians 4. 9. It reads, Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Good advice there. All right, let's turn now to what's happening in Minnesota because this has quickly become a flashpoint for the MAGA movement. Now the White House has sent border czar Tom Holman to take charge of ICE operations after the fatal Minneapolis shooting of a local man there. And he is set to speak live. We'll have that for you Just over an hour now. The last 24 hours have concern amongst Trump supporters after the president signaled de escalation in Minnesota. Now, that word de escalation quickly set off alarms. Many feared it signaled retreat. The White House is saying this is about tactics, not retreat. But the timing matters on this. And for MAGA supporters, this movement feels like a test. This is the delicate balancing act for all right now. And of course, we saw the video. We've got two sets of videos that I think have forced, not forced, but maybe perhaps preempted the President into saying, using the word de escalation. Now, he sent Tom Holman down to Minnesota now to kind of take over command and be the leader of those operations. Now, I think what you're going to see, and Tom Holman has said this before, the mission is still clear. No matter how many times reporters can ask Tom Holman whether or not these ICE raids are going to stop or scale them down, they're not. I just think what they're trying to do is make them a little bit more covert, make them a little bit smaller in focus and so you don't draw the attention of all the people going into this masking, but a little bit more tactical, I guess you could say. But when you look at the video of Ilhan Omar at that town hall, that she was sprayed by a substance, I think it's apple vinegar, cider, if I'm not mistaken. Something along that lines from a gentleman that was in the front row. Now, what's really interesting is there's a couple shots of that guy early on in the, the, the speech. Some, some real close up shots on him. And now I don't know why the videographer felt the need to push in close on this individual, but he did. And that ended up being the one that stood up and charged towards the congresswoman to squirt it with that subst, Ilhan Omar, in kind of a way of defense, stormed after him with kind of fist in the air, if you will. A lot of respect for that, I guess, if it's completely genuine. Now, President Trump did say on a television interview on the phone rather that he perhaps Thought it could be staged, that it was not actually real, knowing how she is. And I think what he's meaning by that is looking at all the fraud and abuse in the Somalian community, perhaps this was just a staged event. But then there was another video that circulated yesterday. And Alex Pretty, previous to the day that he was shot, I want to say, like maybe a week earlier, suffered some injuries from an incident where he came upon an ICE vehicle, proceeded to engage in some type of conversation. This seems like there was a little bit of a struggle at one of the passenger rear doors. He appears to spit in the vehicle, and as the door shuts, they drive away. He kicks it once and then kicks it again. And that's when we saw the tail light fall off. And then at that point, that is when the officer came out of that vehicle, approached Pretty, and I guess pushed him out of the way, if you will. So it appears to me that this individual had a prior run in with ice, and that video is proven to be authentic. I know there were some people online saying that it was artificial intelligence, that it was a fake video. No, his that has been confirmed. It's real. So that opens up the next conversation about this individual. It appears to me that ICE knew who this guy was and knew that he was a repeat, you know, agitator, a professional agitator, if you will, someone that did not mind getting up in the space of ICE agents and law enforcement. So fast forward to the incident where he was fatally shot. You kind of have to, when you take it all in, you maybe see their aggressiveness toward this individual, knowing the past that he has. So fast forward to President Trump's language of de escalation. I think what he means by this is he wants to make sure we still have the mission of taking these criminals off the street, and we do it in a way that is as orderly as possible. Not to say that the previous leadership did that, but Tom Holman is a specialist in this. This is what he's done for decades under numerous presidents. So I think Tom Holman, his presence on the ground, and like you said, he will speak at about 8 o' clock local time. So I'll have that for you live as it happens. I think there's going to be a shift in tactics here, but we are not going to see a decrease in ICE apprehensions. And I was there at the White House on Pebble beach behind the tent that we broadcast from when all those signs were put out, all those yard signs of all these people that they've wrangled up over the last couple of months. And at that point, it had only been maybe a month when this was laid out. And it just proves that their mission is working. They're taking the hardest, the worst criminals off our streets. They're not coming after kids. They're not coming after the guy that didn't pay his parking ticket. They're coming after people that have been violent and that have been really a threat to our community. So the people of Minneapolis, the state of Minnesota, should be thankful that President Trump and Tom Holman and Kristi Noem and all the other leaders in Homeland Security is focusing on their state to clean it up. I think that we're going to see Minnesota be appreciative of this maybe a year from now, maybe two years from now. But they're going to see crime go down there big time. All right. Coming up, they don't call it maga. Making Alberta great again. It's driving a push for separation from Canada. We head to the Great White North Vats coming up next, American SUNRISE EARLY EDITION continues after the break. Hi. Welcome back. AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY edition. I am Brian Glenn. Thanks so much for joining us. All right, this is an interesting story. The Great White North Canada is facing a secession movement and it's happening in Alberta, home to Canada's largest oil and gas reserves, an energy powerhouse. Now petitions are circulating across the Providence calling for independence. Supporters say Alberta pays more into Canada than it gets back all of this as Prime Minister Mark Carney tries to manage the trade talks with President Trump. Joining us now is Ezra Levent and Rebel News and Cameron Davis, leader of Alberta's Republic Party. Ezra, first of all, thank you guys for coming on the show this morning. I appreciate it. A lot of our viewers are watching this story as it doesn't get enough media attention here. But I'm glad we're talking about it. But is it time, guys, to make Alberta great again?
E
It's always time to make Alberta great again. In many ways, it is the greatest of the provinces. I'm a bit biased. I was born there. But let me give your viewers a few facts they may not know. Unlike the United States, which fought a war over secession in Canada, it's actually legal. The Supreme Court has outlined a process that if there is a clear question in a referendum that has a clear majority, it's legal. Remember, Quebec tried to do that several times. But the second thing to know is that the petition you mentioned, the petitions, that's actually a formal legal process. If these petition gatherers can get I think it's 177,000 names calling for the referendum. It will happen. And I know you showed some footage of thousands of people meeting to sign those petitions. So I think it's very likely that they will meet that threshold. And then it's coming down to a campaign, and we hadn't really seen one start in earnest yet. Should Alberta, well, be independent? Some people think it should be independent. Some people think it should be part of the U.S. some people, of course, would prefer to stay where it is. Obviously, the province itself won't move. The question is, who's the boss? And for several generations, Albertans have felt like the rest of Canada has taken advantage of them, mainly financially, but also disrespecting the province. So now they have an or else. Alberta really had no power to negotiate with a country dominated by Ontario and Quebec. But now there's an or else. Be fair to us, or else we might leave.
B
Because you mentioned the. The economic, the natural resources you have there. That is the hub of the entire country, is it not? Yeah.
E
Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. Go ahead, Ken.
F
It is, absolutely. I can tell you that having worked in Alberta's oil and gas industry, we fuel the country and they reap the rewards. But it was set up that way from inception. Alberta did not have our own access to natural resource rights until the 1930s. Eastern Canada set up the west as a resource colony. And Albertans, quite frankly, are sick and tired of it. We're tired of paying the bills for the rest of the country. We want to see an independent Alberta republic now.
B
Yeah, but cultural speaking, it's a different culture from Montreal and Toronto, that area Quebec and Alberta. It's almost like you're a Texas up north. If I could, in a layman's term. Yeah.
E
There's a lot of cultural similarities. Alberta borders Montana. It's got a bit of that vibe. The neighboring province, Saskatchewan, borders North Dakota. That's how it feels. And remember, a lot of Americans helped develop Alberta's oil industry. The financing, the know how. A lot of those were Americans from Texas, Arkansas, other US States. And there's always been a friendship and a kinship between Alberta and the United States. The question is, and I know you focused on this and CAM has as well, what form would it take? Would it be its own country? Would it be a territory? What would the trade agreements be? One of the real beefs Alberta has is that the province to the west of it keeps objecting to oil pipelines going to the ocean. So they're landlocking Alberta. I saw that Scott Besant, your Treasury secretary, expressed interest in getting a pipeline to the US that simple statement by your administration was friendlier towards Alberta than anything our own national government says. So a lot of its frustration with being taken for granted. And you're right, Albertans are really great people. I think comparing them to Texans is a good comparison. They're culturally more conservative than the rest of the country. They're very generous people, but they've been taken advantage of for close to 100 years. Okay.
F
On the topic of the cultural differences, Albertans are tired of mass immigration. Over the last 10 years, we have seen the country broadly being absolutely flooded with a deluge of immigrants from all over the world, but predominantly the third World. We're tired of the attraction of Ottawa to cultural topics that we're frankly opposed to. We're not in favor of gun confiscation in Alberta. We're hunters and farmers and outdoorsmen here. We're not in favor of the increase in doctors pushing maid over health care. And for your viewers, maid is euthanasia. There's stories popping up all the time about instead of health care being offered, what would you have you considered committing suicide, Medically assisted suicide. And so we're not in favor of that. And recently Mark Carney and the and the Ottawa Liberals have decided that they would rather have a closer relationship with Communist China than the United States. Well, here in Alberta, we do 89% of our trade with the United States. We have more in common, as Ezra pointed out, with with Montana and Idaho and Texas than we do the rest of Canada. So there's a massive cultural divide that I think needs to be understood.
B
Guys, I appreciate you joining us. Let's circle back around on this. Keep us updated on the timeline of all of this as we are watching you guys. And we hope you guys make the right decision. And thank you for coming on this morning. Thank you. Thank you, Brian. All right, before we go to break, a new year means new financial goals, making sure that your savings are secure and diversified. Will this be the year you finally listened to me and others on this network talking about the Birch Gold Group? Now, honestly, they're great people. All right.
B
Coming up, border czar Tom Holman scheduled to speak in Minneapolis moments from now. We'll have it live. Stay right here. We'll be back in a few moments on American Sunrise EARLY Edition.
A
Foreign.
B
Welcome back to American Sunrise EARLY edition. I am Brian Glenn. All right, before we dive in, let's get a quick word from one of our sponsors. I love these guys. Artillery Tea Company. That's the only America first veteran owned tea brand. And their mission is simple. Maximize flavor with whole leaf blends and chemical free tea bags. No junk, just real tea. And here's a tactical advantage. Each brew bag bruce twice. So just go to artilleryteco.com and use a promo code RAV for 10 off your first order. That's artilleryco.com premium tea, mission driven, brewed for the brave. All right, well, let's turn our attention now to TikTok. Talking about brave, I guess you got to go on. You got to be brave to go on. TikTok once flagged as a national security and mental health risk. China was at the center of all of that. President Trump stepped in. Now TikTok US operations are in American hands, but users are still deleting the app, uninstalling up to 150%. That's a lot. So what's driving all of these deletions? Joining us now is Chloe Castillo, conservative musician and TikTok creator. Chloe, why are people walking away from TikTok?
A
Well, you know, Brian, I think that honestly we see a lot of people making their livelihoods off of these platforms. It is quite sad in some ways. And also they become very influential, which is, I think, good in a lot of ways and also holds a lot of dangers for us. But honestly, I think that a lot of users think they're being censored more than usual, which to me is hilarious given that these same creators have been embracing censorship from when it comes to the right for many years now and seem to have no problem whatsoever when it comes to censorship of freedom of speech. But now they feel like their rights are being infringed upon somehow, maybe because the Trump administration that is in charge now and they're a little bit worried about that. But, yeah, I think that overall people are just a little bit wary of their rights being infringed upon when it comes to freedom of speech and what they see as their career. I don't really see this happening. But, you know, the left will be the left.
B
The left will be the left. Now, I was, I had an opportunity to step into the TikTok headquarters there at Davos in Switzerland last week, and I got kind of a review of some of their latest, you know, additions to the platform. And it really has become an efficient way for like a small business or a content creator to, to sell products. I think it's, you know, the ROI on TikTok is far greater than if you were to go spend an ad buy on a digital platform that you perhaps may not can. Can afford. So from a. From a business standpoint, is it still good business to do your business on TikTok?
A
I would say so. I think we see enormous growth when it comes to, especially ideas, too, for creators. I myself have a nonprofit organization, Make Music Right, and we're just now launching our media campaign in the next few days here. I know that TikTok is one of the first things we signed up for to get involved and to really reach the youth of America. And so I think that when it comes to businesses or movements or organizations or just as far as thought leaders, I think that TikTok is definitely a place to be. Of course it has its downfalls, but I think that overall that's all social media, and it's still definitely a very influential and important platform.
B
One of the things, Chloe, that I saw that people were complaining about was the use of the Epstein files. That word was being flagged amongst the TikTok algorithms, and I don't know how they do it. Have you heard anything on that? And what's your thoughts? If that in fact is happening and there's trigger words that just simply cannot be talked about on Tik Tok. What's your thoughts on that?
A
Well, I think it's concerning. I haven't seen that personally myself, but I don't doubt that it's the case. I think that we live in a world where everyone's triggered by the very next thing out of their neighbor's mouth. But I think that as far as the TikTok censoring the Epstein files, that's very odd to me, given that TikTok is full of the most perverse content you can possibly imagine, and no one seems to be having a problem with it. I mean, I personally do, but I think that it's silly to be so selective in that in that regard.
B
That's a great point because you can go down and, you know, I've seen examples how there is some questionable content on that platform. So I can't imagine why the simple term of Epstein files will be something that would trigger somebody. What's your thoughts on as far as making it accessible to kids? You know, someone that's 8, 9, 10 years old, should they be on TikTok? Should there be limits to that? Thoughts on that?
A
Oh, they absolutely should not be on TikTok. It should be nowhere near a cell phone, in my opinion. I can tell you I didn't have social media myself until I was about 14. I think that's too young. But honestly, you know, the youth of America are being exposed to very harmful content at a very young age. Younger and younger these days. My personal fight in all this is the music industry. And I think that we see the same thing happening with TikTok. The kind of content the young people of America are consuming is very concerning. A lot of LGBTQ agenda, a lot of pro abortion activism type rhetoric, a lot of just anti American, anti white, anti family ideology is being shoved down the throats of the youth. And, you know, it's very sad to see that tick tock, as well as all of these other media and platforms, since they are so influential, have been some of the driving factors of this. So I think when it comes to young people, especially little kids, grade school kids, having access to these platforms, it's very dangerous. And if there's ways to put limitations on that, I think we should absolutely do so.
B
Yeah, I think one of the biggest concerns here also, Chloe, is that political speech will be flagged on TikTok if TikTok doesn't agree with it. And I think that was another big red flag in all this. And also I'm with you on that. I know musicians have launched careers on TikTok without traditionally going to, you know, knocking on labels or knocking on radio stations, trying to get them to play their music. So it's a great outlet for that. All right, so as we wrap it up, so should people delete their TikTok? Give it a few more you know, give it a second chance or just don't mind any of this narrative about deleting TikTok.
A
Well, I would say if, if you think it's worth it for your business, absolutely, go for it. Keep it on board. But if it's, if it bothers you, for whatever these reasons we just discussed, then, I mean, you're an American. You're free to do so. Delete TikTok.
B
There you go. I like the way you think on that.
G
Appreciate it.
B
On your music. How can people listen to your music?
A
Sure. So I don't have a ton of music out there yet, actually. Hopefully we're going to have an album coming out very soon, maybe around the fourth of July. But in the meantime, you can go to my organization, makemusicright.com to learn more about the conservative music movement, see how you can get involved and take back our culture for conservatism and for the values of made America great.
B
I love it. I'll do that. I'll, I don't have a lot of followers on Tick Tock, just so you know. I, I, I don't just for whatever reason, I haven't used it so much. I need to get on it. But I appreciate it. I'll go follow you on TikTok.
A
Absolutely. I appreciate it, Glenn.
B
Thank you.
A
Ryan, I am so sorry. Last name came in there.
B
It's okay. I go by both. It's okay. Thanks, Chloe.
A
Thank you so much.
B
All right. Coming up, the USS Abraham carrier strike group is in place. Iran is a final warning. What comes next depends on this moment. Back after the break. You're watching American Sunrise. Welcome to American Sunrise. Early edition. The show we're faced with faith, freedom and the values that built this nation take center stage. Hi. Welcome back. American Sunrise. That is a live look. Waiting for that bomb cyclone to come through there. That look. It's week after week after week. They're getting the snow and ice. Just when you shovel it all away, then more comes. We'll keep an eye on that as it develops up and down the mid Atlantic and eastern seaboard. Let's head over to our Denver newsroom for the very latest headlines with the one and only Terrance Bates. Terrence.
G
Hey, Brian. Good morning. So look, one of the stories we're watching out for Tom Holman. The borders are is expected to host a news conference in Minneapolis here within the next 30 minutes or so. It's scheduled for the top of the hour. The moment that happens, we, of course, will take you live there. Here on REAL America's voice In the meantime, though, the ring is really tight around Iran right now as a massive US Armada is in position there. And President Trump is warning the Islamic Republic that time for reaching a deal is running out. The American armada is led by the aircraft carrier the USS Abraham Lincoln. It's a full carrier strike group that's in place there. That strike group includes cruisers, destroyers, Stealth fighters, Super Hornets, surveillance aircraft, missile defense systems. Brian, I think the message here is you definitely don't move that much artillery and that much hardware into place unless you're ready to roll and ready to do something. So Iran should be on guard. What are your sources telling you, Brian, in terms of how quickly if anything does happen, it will happen? I mean, is this weekend pretty much the drop dead date?
B
And you know what's interesting on this? I thought something would happen this week. And since now it's Thursday, we're talking about it right now, it's going in place. He's sending a message for sure. But yeah, I would think the odds of some type of strike could be Saturday, could be Sunday. They typically do stuff on the weekends. You ever notice that, Terrence?
G
Yeah, absolutely. And I actually was reading one article and I don't know if the source they were quoting was joking or being serious, but he was saying that he expected things to ramp up here pretty quickly and that we might see a free elections there in Iran by next week. That would probably be a little fast, but I think the implication is that there's going to be some action there. So we'll of course be continuing to monitor that also. Brian, a far left push to shut down America is underway. Communist aligned activist groups are actually calling for a nationwide general strike. That strike will be set for tomorrow. It includes no work, no school, no shopping, and it targets businesses and campuses. I hear you laughing over there. It's obviously all anti ice, anti Israel. And the shutdown effort has been organized. Online groups linked to CCP backed billionaire Neville Roy Singham are supposedly behind all of this. So look, you chuckle you think this is going to get any traction at all?
B
I don't think they work. They don't go to school, they don't do anything anyway. All they do is stand out on protests all across this country. I don't think this is any change from what they're usually doing. I, I have been watching some videos, Terrence, of people, you know, putting up, you know, doing videos saying, you've got it, we got to do this. No work, no shop, just stay home, let's cripple the Economy. We've seen this attempt before, Terrence, and it is just a page out of the leftist playbook. It will literally not even be a blimp on. On the radar other than maybe, maybe, maybe that's the day that ICE continues to do their full fledged roundups because there's no one else on the street to interrupt that. But, yeah, I'm not too threatened by this, this boycott, the shutdown, the strike, if you will.
G
Right? Yeah. Good luck with that. Right?
B
Yeah.
G
Brian, I hope you've got. I hope you've got your. Your. Your stand by you, because it's time to get on your bully pulpit here. Want to talk about the government shutdown?
B
Okay.
G
Talk about the government shut. I'm not gonna lie, Brian. It gives me a headache. Like the fact that we're back here and even having this conversation gives me a headache. But it is one of the big stories that we're monitoring. The clock, of course, ticking down towards that shutdown. Senate GOP has actually been warning that it might shut down, but we are hearing that President Trump and Chuck Schumer are close to a potential deal to avert that shutdown. That deal, Brian, would include new restrictions on federal immigration agents in return for Democrats passing the funding bills. The deadline, as I said, is tomorrow, and Democrats have been blocking DHS funding and calling specifically for ICE to be defunded. And all of this also tied to border enforcement in general. Republicans say the Democrats just won't say exactly what they want. But the White House again is in negotiations, and we're hearing that a deal is being worked out to avoid a shutdown. Brian, what do you make of all of this? I don't know what time I'm gonna give you six minutes and 50 seconds, Brian. Cause I suspect you got a lot to go on. I'm just gonna sit back, eat my popcorn, and you please go off.
B
Well, you know, it's interesting. It's like rinse and repeat. Like Terrence Bates and myself, I have been in front of that White House talking about this possible government shutdown. Last year, we talked about that. The cr. We're gonna kick the can. Oh, we got appropriations. We're gonna do all. Well, they finally got some of these appropriations done. But the very things that they included in the budget are the things that the American people wanted out of the budget, which was. One of them was refugee settlement program money. So what can the Republicans give up on this, Terrence? What can they concede and say, I tell you what we're not going to do. We'll scale back this ICE operations or we're going to I don't know what they're willing to compromise to avoid the government shutdown and to appease Democrats, but unfortunately, yeah, but Speaker Johnson and Thune, they have literally gotten they have gotten on their knees and worked with Democrats to no end and given them everything they want in some of these appropriations. And so I don't know what to expect with this, Terrence.
G
So, Brian, what I'm hearing is that part of these negotiations relative to ICE is, and again, it's kind of policy on ICE is that ICE agents would have to unmask, they wouldn't be able to wear masks during their operations, that they would potentially even get body cameras so that they would document all of that. And while all that's fine and dandy, holding up government funding for those sorts of changes, it just seems insensitive to the American people. Brian to me, I agree.
B
I agree. But you know what, Terrence, I'm almost to the point right now where I don't care. I just wanna pull every I'll say, okay, Minnesota, you don't want law and order. You do not want criminals off your streets, fine, guys, we're going back, we're pulling out and just let Minnesota go. And I'm almost to the point where I don't care anymore about Minnesota. I don't care. Look, this is that is holding up funding for all these other wonderful programs and departments that we need to take care of. And so what's the next conflict, Terrence? What's the next outrage that you and I are going to be talking about? That's, oh, Democrats are outraged about this. Oh, we must make concessions here so that they're happy, but yet we keep giving stuff away to the Democrats and getting away from what the people voted on. I really am, Terrence. I'm almost to the point where I just don't care anymore. And you know what? That goes with any state. If they don't like the federal law, they don't like law and order. They don't want the policies that make them stronger financially as far as law and order safety on the streets, then fine, get out, cut federal funding to them and say, see it very much like Alberta is trying to do now with Canada. They want to basically secede and say, we don't want to be a part of this garbage that we're drawn into. Alberta basically funds the entire country, but yet they don't get the representation and they don't agree fundamentally with the politics. So on Minnesota I'm this close for saying, you know what, Terrence, I don't care what we do, we can pull out. Let them poor people in Minnesota deal with it.
G
Yeah. Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord splits.
B
That's exactly right.
G
Really quickly, Brian, before I go, because as I mentioned at the top of our segment, Tom Holman is expected to speak here. Let me look at my clock in about 15 minutes now at the top of the hour, he'll be in Minneapolis. Of course, he is there kind of of changing the posture. Here's a live shot, in fact, of where he'll be speaking. He's been changing the federal government and the Trump administration's posture and policies and procedures as it relates to Minneapolis and the current immigration response there. What is it that you're expecting to hear from Tom Holman? And then conversely, what is it that you want to hear from Tom Holman today?
B
Okay. I've dealt with Tom Holman quite a bit over the last year and a half. He is a good man. He's a very direct man. I have stood there with him outside the West Wing with a crowd of reporters and he absolutely delivers the truth. He is going to say that this is what I anticipate him saying, that they are not backing down on upholding the law and going after criminals. Okay. Although they may take a different approach to it. Now, I don't know what that looks like. I'm not in law enforcement. I'm not criminal justice major or anything. I don't know. But I do know this, they're still going to get criminals off the streets. They may do it in a different manner, but they're still going to do it. And I'm looking forward to what that press conflict. Like you said, in about 13 minutes from now, we'll have that for you live. Tom Holman's worked with a lot of presidents, Terrence, not just Trump, but he's worked under Obama as well. He knows what he's doing and he's got the respect of the men and women that serve on ice and Homeland Security. So he's a very well respected man in his agency. So they'll follow his lead for sure.
G
So, Brian, I'm just going to add, I would like to see, I don't expect to see it, but I would like to see because I think it would send a good message that Tom Holman is there, but that Tim Walls and Jacob Fry also join him to at least show that they are united in an effort to keep that city safe. To keep the state of Minnesota safe. I suspect it won't happen because publicly they're saying one thing in behind closed doors. Who knows what those conversations look like? But I think it would be healthy, particularly given the kind of environment that has been created in Minneapolis, if the leaders, both federal leaders, Tom Holman in this case, and the state leaders, Tim Walls and Jacob Fry, would come together, Even if they don't say anything, even if Jacob Fry and the governor don't say a word, but if they're there to show unity or to show some sense of, of, of this wanting to work together, I think it would be a good visual and optically it would be good. I suspect it won't happen, but, you know, hope springs eternal.
B
I agree. That would be amazing if they stood side by side and if they said, look, let's get these criminals off the street. Let's not stand in the way of law enforcement, okay? They're not rounding good, hardworking Americans up. They're rounding up the bad guys. And don't stand in the way because you're endangering yourself. That's a great idea. All right, Terrence, we'll have a look on that in about 12 minutes from now. Terence, we'll see on the other side of the break.
G
All right, Brad.

Welcome back, America Sunrise, EARLY edition. I am Brian Glenn. That is a live look right now awaiting the press conference. Tom Holman expected to step in front of that podium in just about over 10 minutes from now. We'll have live complete coverage on the ground there when that happens. But Joining me now is the one and only David Brody is. As we wait, Borders are Tom Holman live at the top of the hour. David, what's your thoughts and what do you think that Tom Holman is going to say? What do you think his demeanor is towards the situation there in Minneapolis?
C
Well, we know Brian, he'll be no nonsense for sure. We also know he's straight out of central casting, which we all love by the way, and Trump loves by the way we do about that. But beyond all of that, I think what we'll probably hear, and he'll say it far more eloquently than I will, but that we're going to probably see a shift to make sure that the high priority criminal illegal aliens get prioritized in terms of for illegal immigration enforcement. And I think he'll probably make that clear, that that is the quote, change in tactic. If he gets pushed on it, which he will, they'll say, look, we're gonna go after the worst of the worst, which is what Homan's been saying all along. So I mean, this idea that there's any sort of change from Homan's perspective. No, I mean, I think I don't wanna get into the whole Homan versus Kristi Noem situation, but there has been a difference of opinion. You know, I mean, you have Stephen Miller and Kristi Holm basically saying let's go, let's get the numbers up, let's round them all up. And then there's Homan who's like, look, let's get the worst of the worst and then we'll take it from there. And I think there's been kind of a difference here. And so that's why Homan is there to say we're going for the worst. The worst. I think that's what we're gonna hear. I think there's a lot of unanswered questions and I think one of them is, so what are the rules of engagement going forward for ICE officers and for protesters on the ground and what sort of commitments is he getting from Jacob Fry and Tim Walls? And by the way, I put an LOL in a and a HAHA emoji after that because they don't seem like they're budging much at all. So I want to see what goes on in terms of the progress regarding that.
B
Brian. I agree. He's going to emphasize that they're going after the worst of the worst. And we've talked about this before, David, I think the communication on this is critical. They must remind the community there in Minneapolis that they're going after child molesters, criminals, murderers. We're going after those people. So please don't stand in the way of us apprehending these individuals that make your street safer. But I don't think that message has been effective as it should been.
C
It hasn't. It's gotten away from this administration from a PR standpoint, and hopefully this is a way to put it back on track to say, look, this is what we're doing. And I think that will help them in the midterms politically and of course, make everything much safer on the streets of Minneapolis with at the same time not backing down from doing in interior immigration enforcement.
B
David Brody, we'll see you in about six minutes on the other side of the hour. Appreciate your time.
C
Sounds good, bro.
B
Thank you. All right. We appreciate you. Until next time. Goodbye. God bless. We'll see you back here tomorrow morning, 7am Eastern. Make it, make it a great day. We'll see you. This is an iHeart podcast.

Podcast: Real America’s Voice
Host: Brian Glenn (with guests/commentators)
Original Air Date: January 29, 2026
Main Theme:
This episode covers a mix of breaking news and political commentary through the lens of conservative, pro-American values. The show covers major U.S. weather events, the situation in Minnesota regarding ICE operations after a high-profile shooting, Alberta’s growing independence movement, changes to TikTok under U.S. control, and foreign and domestic political developments. Faith, freedom, and uncensored conversation are interwoven throughout.
“We're talking about winds up to 50 miles per hour. So along the coast, we'll definitely have some big impacts… Beach erosion is definitely going to be another underlying variable.” (Tracy Anthony, 04:57)
“Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”
“The mission is still clear… they’re trying to do it in a way that’s as orderly as possible… Tom Holman is a specialist in this.” (Brian Glenn, 08:11)
Terrence Bates and Glenn discuss pending government shutdown unless a funding deal is struck—potential compromises include ICE policy changes (unmasking agents, body cameras) to appease Democrats.
“Speaker Johnson and Thune… have gotten on their knees and worked with Democrats to no end and given them everything they want...” (Brian Glenn, 35:53)
“He absolutely delivers the truth… they are not backing down on upholding the law and going after criminals. Although they may take a different approach… they’re still going to get criminals off the streets.” (Brian Glenn, 40:10) “We’re gonna go after the worst of the worst, which is what Homan’s been saying all along.” (David Brody, 44:48)
“The Supreme Court has outlined a process that if there is a clear question in a referendum that has a clear majority, it's legal... I think it's very likely that they will meet that threshold.” (Ezra Levant, 14:48) “Eastern Canada set up the west as a resource colony. And Albertans, quite frankly, are sick and tired of it.” (Cameron Davis, 16:35)
Glenn and Chloe Castillo (musician and TikTok creator) discuss TikTok’s U.S. takeover, waves of user deletions, and underlying worries about censorship and free speech.
“A lot of users think they're being censored more than usual, which to me is hilarious, given that these same creators have been embracing censorship… when it comes to the right for many years now.” (Chloe Castillo, 23:38)
Business Perspective: Despite some quitting, TikTok remains a vital platform for creators and small businesses due to high visibility and sales potential.
Glenn raises concerns about TikTok flagging/search suppression on the “Epstein files” and other political topics.
“TikTok is full of the most perverse content you can possibly imagine and no one seems to be having a problem with it... it's silly to be so selective in that regard.” (Chloe Castillo, 26:13)
Ongoing debate about youth exposure to social media.
Freedom of choice: If TikTok is good for your business, keep it; if the concerns outweigh the benefits, “You’re free to delete it.” (Chloe Castillo, 28:52)
Terrence Bates reports on plans for a far-left, “Communist-aligned” national general strike (no work, school, shopping), led by activists linked to Neville Roy Singham and aiming to shut down America.
Host skepticism:
“I don't think they work, they don't go to school, they don't do anything anyway. All they do is stand out on protest...” (Brian Glenn, 33:38)
“Beach erosion is definitely going to be another underlying variable that could have impacts from the storm.”
—Tracy Anthony (Meteorologist), 04:57
“President Trump did say… he perhaps thought [the Ilhan Omar incident] could be staged…”
—Brian Glenn, 08:45
“Alberta did not have our own access to natural resource rights until the 1930s. Eastern Canada set up the west as a resource colony. And Albertans… are sick and tired of it.”
—Cameron Davis, 16:35
“A lot of users think they're being censored more than usual, which to me is hilarious, given that these same creators have been embracing censorship… when it comes to the right for many years now.”
—Chloe Castillo, 23:38
“You’re an American. You're free to do so. Delete TikTok.”
—Chloe Castillo, 28:52
“I don’t think this [general strike] is going to get any traction… All they do is stand out on protest all across this country.”
—Brian Glenn, 33:38
“Tom Holman is a specialist… his presence on the ground… there’s going to be a shift in tactics here, but we are not going to see a decrease in ICE apprehensions.”
—Brian Glenn, 08:11
“We're gonna go after the worst of the worst, which is what Homan’s been saying all along.”
—David Brody, 44:48
The program blends straight reporting with outspoken commentary and a conversational, often irreverent tone. Key takeaways include skepticism of left-leaning movements, pride in American and conservative values, and a focus on law enforcement’s role in public safety. Cultural divides, both international (Alberta/Canada vs. U.S.) and domestic (urban liberal vs. rural conservative), are central themes. Throughout, the hosts emphasize clarity (“going after the worst of the worst”), personal freedoms (“you’re free to delete TikTok”), and frustration with establishment politics.
