So head over to Real America's voice chats on Getter Rumble and YouTube and during the 9am hour of American Sunrise, if you're selected, we'll deliver your hometown forecast live. So jump in, be a part of the fun and join us on Weather nation. And joining us now is Weather Nation's own Tracy Anthony. Tracy, good morning to you on this Thursday morning. We talked about it a Little bit earlier in the week that these forecast highs out west were going to be massively, almost record breaking.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah, you know, we saw a ton of records fall throughout the day yesterday and it's here to stay. We're going to have a brief little cool down, but then those temperatures are warming right back up. And Brian, one of the things people don't think about, we were just talking about this is a lot of people across parts of coastal California don't have ac.
Brian Glenn
Mm. Yeah. It's simply not a part of where these houses were built. Whether in the 50s and 60s. They just don't have air conditioning.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah, definitely. And so that's going to cause some big concerns, especially with the long duration of this heat wave. So areas like la, if you're heading out to the beaches, just want to add a disclaimer there as well. We do have rip current risks, so we're all trying to find ways to cool down, but want to be safe on that front. There was some elephants enjoying the heat. But one thing we've also kind of forgot to mention this week is we do have the spring equinox that is coming up here. So this is when the Earth's axis is tilted neither toward nor away from the sun, so we have equal amounts of daylight and darkness at all latitudes. It's essentially when that sun is right over the equator. So spring officially begins at 10:46, that's tomorrow. So technically we're into meteorological spring, but astronomical spring. This is what everybody sees on the calendar. And you know, throughout the month of March, we have a ton of increased daylight hours, or minutes, I should say this is in minutes. But check out northern Minnesota. They pick up 100 minutes of daylight just this month. So the big stories still very spring. Like as we do have the winter weather across the Great Lakes in the Northeast, across the Southeast, still frost advisories. These are going to be the last day of those frost advisories because our temperatures are going to be surging as well. And then that extreme heat out west really going to be one of the biggest stories you're going to hear about it not just this week, but through the weekend and even into next week. So, Brian, there's a lot going on, but it's a such summertime heat that everyone's going to have to get a jump start on ways to stay cool.
Brian Glenn
I think it's very interesting on the increased minutes of sun, of daylight that states up north get a hundred minutes in one month is, is amazing. And if you kind of look at, you know, I Never really thought of the month of March of being this kind of transitional month in the terms of daylight, but it really is how much light that they're gaining up north.
Tracy Anthony
Definitely it's when, you know, you live up north, this is when you get out of your winter depression, you start to get that vitamin D back in your body.
Brian Glenn
Yeah. And then also we saw last week a lot of storms rolling through the mid the plains, deep south. Do we still have that trend setting up? Because a lot of people are taking their spring break right now headed to some of those coastal areas in Florida.
Tracy Anthony
You know, we're actually going to get a pretty quiet break in the storm chances. South Florida, there is a low pressure center out in the Atlantic that's bringing some overcast guys, some cooler weather, but not worried about severe and what's bringing this heat across the Southwest and the Central Plains, the south Central Plains is a ridge of high pressure and we associate that with a stable environment. So it's sinking air, it's very stable. And we often describe it as a heat dome. So. So it kind of caps off that environment. So we're really not expecting too many storm chances, at least across the south for the next couple of days. So I think the biggest area where weather is going to be a concern for spring break is if you're doing a ski trip out west.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, yeah. You know what's interesting is to note last hurricane season, a lot of experts predicted it would be above average as far as activity. It had one of the most historically low hurricane seasons on record. Almost no major storm touching the US have they put out any guidance for this next hurricane season starting in June?
Tracy Anthony
I haven't seen any yet, but we should start to see that probably in the next month or two, usually May for sure. They'll start to issue their forecast for the season and we'll definitely keep you updated with what's coming down the pipeline. And just want to kind of clarify for last hurricane season, we did still have a ton of what they call hurricane energy. We just didn't have the direct impacts along the coast. So still could have, you know, some stronger storms.
Brian Glenn
There you go. All right. And also if you want to have that lucky hometown forecast, make sure you scan that barcode and go be a part of that because in a 9am hour, you're going to deliver someone's hometown lucky forecast. Thank you, Tracy, so much. I appreciate it.
Tracy Anthony
Yep. See you soon.
Brian Glenn
All right, let's turn to our top story right now. Overnight, a major escalation in the war. Israel Striking Iran's gas fields. Iran responding across the region now, President Trump distancing the US and signaling an off ramp. And now all eyes are on the Pentagon. We're standing by live for an update on that as well. So what does this moment call for strategically and long term? Originally, this war, which wasn't called a war originally, was to last maybe a week, maybe two, maybe 14 days. Now we're heading well into the third week of this escalation. And we've seen it expand broadly, not just in that region. We've seen strikes even in some of the allied countries around Europe. So as the violence in the war expands, what does that mean in terms of our participation in this? Now, when can we accurately call this a war that's been complete? What is the final stage in all of this? What is the goal of this war? When do we know it is over? Now, the Iranian regime, it seems like you take out one leader, another one steps up. Well, we've taken out several deep as far as security, the presidential, the leaders of Iran, the security team around the president, we've taken those individuals out as well. But it seems like the, the protests, the people of Iran that have been told to take to the streets and get their country back, that simply has not happened. Now for good reason, because President Trump spoke of the other day that the Iranian people just can't simply go to the street and protest their government and take over in fear of perhaps being shot. And that's exactly. And they don't have guns there. Obviously, their citizens are not armed. So that is a big concern there as so how long would that process take? How Long is a U.S. government, our military, going to be involved in this war? And of course, if you look at the strikes last night, and of course, there is a little bit of conflicting information on whether or not the president did know about that strike, did know about it in advance. Maybe the president did not know, but other people, military, individuals in our US Military, maybe they knew. There's a little bit of discrepancies there, but what does that mean? Well, the oil market spiked overnight, I think is at 114. We'll get a check of the oil in the next segment, but oil has spiked since then. So you got the oil markets, the energy markets reacting to last night. You've got the people of Iran still waiting to kind of have an opportunity to take over the government. And until then, this war just goes on to another third week. We'll talk about that a little bit later in the show. All right, coming up the countdown to the opening bell. And also we're headed to CPAC back in Dallas on March 25th through the 28th, real America's voice will be there. Not just covering it, we'll be right in the middle of it. All right, back out live. Look at Chicago, Little Illinois there. All right. Welcome back American Sunrise, early edition. I am Brian Glenn. Great to have you with us this morning. We're keeping an eye on the White House, the markets and the latest out of the Middle East. You can join the conversation on getters, YouTube and Rumble. But first, let's check out Wall street as we get closer to the opening bell. The Dow plunging down more than 768points to close at 46, 225. The Nasdaq also a little bit lower down 327 points, closing at 22 152. Now shifting to oil. Brent crude surging, closing near $110 a barrel. I think that's slightly up as well. Just settling just under 100. Energy markets on edge as the New York Stock Exchange prepares to open at 9:30. So with all this volatility, the Trump White House turning to domestic production. Millions of acres opening in Alaska. And in California, oil flooring again for the first time since 2015. So what does this mean for your wallet? Let's bring in financial expert Mark Kwan. He's the author of the number one tax book, Be Smart, Pay Zero Taxes. Hello. I like that. Mark, good morning. What are you hearing from people right now in terms of the market, the economy, how are people budgeting with a little bit increasing cost in their daily lives?
Mark Kwan
You know what people are, people are struggling. I just saw a study that Americans need to make 145,000 a year just to stay afloat. Right. And about half of those Americans are doing half of that. So Americans have like the average 401k is about 40,000. Half Americans don't have anything in their 401k. Americans are just not doing well financially. But you know, I teach financial literacy to people, so I sit across the, you know, a zoom every day and try and teach people solutions on their finances.
Brian Glenn
You know, you and I were talking before we came on about how we don't teach financial literacy. These kids come out of high school, college, they a lot of times don't know how to budget, you know, and say budget a checkbook. Going back in the, you know, I'm dating myself a little bit, but that's something that we don't do in this country. Why don't we,
Mark Kwan
you know what, even when they do teach it, it's horrible. I mean, I used to be a financial advisor for 15 years. If they taught you 15, financial literacy, it comes from Wall street, it comes from bank, it comes from big government. They're not going to educate you on how to become successful. They're going to educate you on the opposite. Here's what I, here's what I realized when I was a financial advisor. There's more money made in keeping people financially illiterate. And I hate to say it, but that's just true. If you're, if you're taught to go to school, get a good job, here's how to file your taxes, save money, get good credit, put money in a retirement account, you're being set up to fail, right? You're not going to win against inflation. You're not going to understand the Economy. People should understand the basics of this stuff. I read Rich Dad, Poor dad when I was like 22 years old and I knew this was coming. You can literally read in those books exactly what's coming. Because we don't have real money. We have fiat currency. The government can print it and devalue it. It causes inflation and everyone's going to struggle. I knew this was coming when I was 22 years old.
Brian Glenn
You know, you wrote a book and the basically how to pay no taxes. And I think that would be an ultimate goal for anyone. I mean, President Trump even remember back in the 20, I want to say 2016, or maybe 2020 might have been early on in 2016, they criticized him for paying very little taxes. He said, well, only stupid people pay taxes. And it's Nicholas, don't blame me. That's the system that's set up like that. If you know how to, you know, not work the system, but work it legally, you're a smart one. You teach that. You wrote a book about that.
Mark Kwan
Yeah, I did. I did. I've written four books, actually. And by the way, I'm still a high school dropout. I barely went to college. You can do it in Canada, where I'm from, but I'm not formally educated. I just, I spent time on financial literacy and studying, investing in tax codes when other people were going to college and, and getting, you know. So no, I've written about it because every American should do that. My family was bricklayers and construction workers, so I wrote a book that's dedicated to ordinary Americans and H Vac workers and factory workers. You can learn the exact same strategies to fight inflation, build wealth, and not pay taxes. It's pretty simple. Buy assets, never sell them, borrow from them. You avoid capital gains taxes and you avoid income taxes. And then you can die tax free. I started teaching the homeschool students. I've got a nine year old that knows how to do this.
Brian Glenn
Now.
Mark Kwan
My youngest student is 9. My oldest student is 95 and he's a former fighter pilot. So anybody can learn these strategies, but you're going to have to ignore your financial advisor. They don't know what they're doing. Financial advisors have no clue what they're doing. I had to say it, but the word is out.
Brian Glenn
Okay, we got about 30 seconds. Give me the bit of advice right now for someone watching this. What's the first step they can do right now to start saving and start moving in the right direction?
Mark Kwan
Invest in your financial literacy. Anybody can open up their iPhone and put 100 bucks in there. You could put a $20 in a silver ETF, $20 in a gold ETF, $20 in a Bitcoin ETF, $20 and a couple stocks that you want. Just buy them forever, never sell them. You'll never pay taxes on the growth. You can actually take a low interest margin loan. You can send it to your bank account, pay your expenses. That's what the billionaires teach their kids and that's why they're billionaires. You got to stop going back to the traditional financial education that we're taught in schools.
Brian Glenn
Good stuff there, Mark. We've got to get you back on. Thanks, Mark. Thanks for your time this morning. Appreciate it.
Mark Kwan
Thanks for having me.
Brian Glenn
Thank you. All right. Midterms aren't far off. And there's something that you need to be thinking about. Your access to your money. We just talked about that. We've all heard about debanking lately. But big banks gave in to cancel culture. And they did it once and they'll do it again. That's why choosing the right bank isn't just practical, it's critical. Old Glory bank was built for patriots who value privacy and freedom. They don't cave to pressure no matter who's in D.C. they have never treat your money like a political bargaining chip. If you want a bank that protects your freedom, go to old glorybank.com rav that's old glorybank.com Raph all right, coming up, this is a story. Bigfoot is back. Or at least that's what they claim. Live shot New York City. Not sure if Bigfoot's walking around New York. They could. I might. I don't know. Bigfoot goes wherever he. There might be a lot of Bigfoots down there. Welcome back America Sunrise early edition. I am Brian Glenn. Glad you're with us this morning. It's a busy morning. We'll keep an eyes on all the stories across the country and around the world. You can also join us on getter rumble and YouTube. All right, well, buckle up, people. Bigfoot is back in the headlines with new sightings, raising some eyebrows. Let's bring in Scott Tompkins. He's creator of. Of the Bigfoot Mapping project. Now, Scott, I reached out to you because I was in Northern Kentucky with President Trump at a rally stop, and that was all the buzz. People were talking in line about Bigfoot sightings in Ohio and across the region. And all of a sudden it hits the news that Bigfoot is back. Scott, give us the very latest on these Bigfoot sightings here as of lately.
Scott Tompkins
So it's funny you say that Bigfoot is back because Bigfoot has been alongside humans for a very long time. But what's just happening in Ohio, which happens to be Pennsylvania? Ohio is a big hot spot. It's just overtaken the Pacific Northwest. In my database, it's about 1600 sightings total throughout the recording of Bigfoot sightings. What we capture in the database and what happened in Ohio is. Got a term in cryptozoology and Bigfoot research. It's called a flap. And this is when there's a surge of reports. And in this case, there's actually been two individuals that have been identified in the reports. There's eight reports that started on March 6th and carried through all the way to March 10th. And these animals that witnesses are reporting that they're seeing are traveling along edge habitat and normal wildlife corridors, just like other wildlife. Which highlights the importance of capturing this data and then doing good research and being transparent about what you're seeing, which is what the project aims to do. This is just the start. Making declarative statements about what has been seen is something we try to refrain from doing. And we gather research and we gather information. We put it out there for people to look into and determine what's happening. So the Bigfoot mapping project is really just a platform for that, and it's a jump off point for good researchers to get out and do the field work that needs to happen to really explain what's going on in Ohio. It's very exciting.
Brian Glenn
Okay, so we've got an image right there that apparently I'm not sure exactly what location that Bigfoot was spotted at, but what you're telling me is they travel with other wildlife, Is that correct? Deer, cattle. Okay, that's right.
Scott Tompkins
Deer, bears, cattle.
Brian Glenn
Do you think they're. They have a. They're friendly amongst each other. So in other words, does Bigfoot prey that we Know of. On. On other wildlife, or they, for the most part, just get along? I mean, is he a predator?
Scott Tompkins
From. From the data we have in the database, yes. Bigfoot would be an opportunistic predator. Predator Fish, they scavenge, they look for food and forage that would support them in their habitat, just like really any other large mammal, like a bear. They're omnivorous, they need to scavenge, and they have a high caloric requirement.
Brian Glenn
Okay, I've got a lot of questions on this. So people are in fear of that in the. In that Ohio, Kentucky area, as you would. Would expect. If people think that there's Bigfoot crawling around their house back in the wood? I think that would be. Should humans fear Bigfoot? I mean, is there any reports where Bigfoot comes after a human? And if so, I don't know why that wouldn't have been documented. But is there any examples of that?
Scott Tompkins
I'm actually glad to be here, and hopefully I can put some minds at ease. Generally. In the 16,000 reports that we have approximately in the database, there are very, very few where these creatures have been violent towards humans. They do have behaviors similar to other animals, like bluff charging, making vocalizations that are intimidating because they seem to be more afraid of us than we are of them. And they. When their space is infringed, they behave just like a cornered animal would and try to scare off the threat from what. What they perceive as a threat.
Brian Glenn
Okay, I made a joke going into this segment about Bigfoot being in New York. Are there any parts of the country where there hasn't been any Bigfoot sightings or any states that they just seem to stay away from?
Scott Tompkins
So one of the states that has the fewest Bigfoot reports. There's two. There's one. Hawaii has very few, and Nevada has very few Bigfoot reports as well. And it's all about habitat. Right. And two reasons. One, Hawaii is very isolated. It's hard to get to. It has very few species unless they could swim there or fly there. And Nevada has a harsh climate, like desert climate that just doesn't lend itself in many parts of the state to a creature like Bigfoot.
Brian Glenn
Yeah. Okay, so what do you have to say to critics that are watching us right now? They think, oh, this is their. Bigfoot doesn't exist. UFOs don't exist. In all of these theories on these, you know, the. The Loch Ness Monster doesn't exist. I mean, I grew up, and I think we all grew up learning about Bigfoot, learning about the Loch Ness Monster. Learning about these creatures, that seemed very abnormal. But what is, what is your response to those watching us right now that said, hey, these are just people walking around in the woods in gorilla suits and I got a buddy that's going to snap a picture of them and put it up on a website. What's your response to that?
Scott Tompkins
So there's a few things. One, there is a group that I have to give credit to, Project Zoo Book, where there are scientists like primatologists who specialize in studying gorillas and apes and engineers and biologists who meet once a month. And I'm part of that. And they are reluctant to speak out because it may affect their careers. But there are, I guess my point is there are credible professionals in these relevant fields who are researching Bigfoot. The second thing is that, you know, Bigfoot is a phenomenon that has been alongside humans throughout history. It's become more of an anthropological study over the years. And since I started the project, for me, understanding what's really happening, there's something in our evolutionary memory that triggers something like Bigfoot. And is it a creature that has evolved alongside of us and then learned that we're a threat? Because humans, there used to be many human species, you know, Neanderthals and Denisovans, et cetera. And now we're the only ones left. So maybe Bigfoot is intelligent enough to realize that we are dangerous and it's learned and adapted to live alongside of us and just stay on the periphery of human civilization.
Brian Glenn
That's pretty. If we can just get off the grid like Bigfoot. I think we would all like that. Scott. Yeah, website for people to follow the Bigfoot and where he's when that where they're moving.
Scott Tompkins
So the best website would be I believe the Mapping Big Bigfoot Mapping project which is www.bigfootmap.com or you can follow me on Instagram at bigfootmappingproject.
Brian Glenn
Hey Scott, I appreciate your time this morning clarifying. Hopefully these people, they don't live in fear. Just maybe invite Bigfoot in for a cup of coffee. That might be great as well. Thank you. Appreciate it.
Scott Tompkins
Thank you.

Welcome to American Sunrise EARLY edition, the show where faith, freedom and the values that built this nation take center stage.
Brian Glenn
All right. Welcome back, AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY edition. I am Brian Glenn. I bet you didn't think you were going to get a Bigfoot story this morning on a Thursday morning, but you did. So if you see Bigfoot, invite him in for a cup of Artillery Tea. All right. It's a busy morning. There's a lot to get to. You can also follow us on Getter, YouTube and Rumble. Let's bring in our national political reporter Neil McCabe, who's joining us live from Capitol Hill. Neil, lots going on, everything from the SAVE act to Mark Wayne Mullen squaring off with Rand Paul there, lots to get to. But let's, let's, let's first go to the SAVE Act. Where are we at on, on that? You did a great job yesterday by laying out the sequence of that, but what's going on today with it?
Neil McCabe
So last night, the, the debate sort of formally, informally stopped around nine with Mike Lee was really who's really the the background. He's the guy behind the scenes running the strategy and to get the Save Save America act passed. And Mike Lee called out the Democrats for their weak arguments and just the ridiculousness of saying they're against election integrity. But he also made the point that by forcing the Democrats to go on the floor and make their arguments, these weak arguments are being exposed and it's forcing them to maybe change their mind. And we saw yesterday that Chuck Schumer, according to Stephen Dennis from the Associated Press, Chuck Schumer told a gaggle of reporters that Democrats are not opposed to voter id. And someone who's been advising Mike Lee on strategy told me if that's true that Schumer is ready to cave on voter id, then we are in the red zone.
David Brody
Brian.
Brian Glenn
Nice. Nice. And I think these, so these debates are actually working. People are starting to wake up and see that. Okay, let's transition over to the Mark Wayne Mullins confirmation there for dhs. A lot of heated moments, a lot of awkward moments.
Neil McCabe
Dan Rather would say that that hearing was crackling like a hickory fire.
Brian Glenn
He would say that. What's your thoughts on that and do you expect him. I saw, I think, believe Senator Britt was on this morning. She does think that it could happen. It could get confirmation by this week. Not sure that's possible. But what's your thoughts?
Neil McCabe
Well, a lot of times on Capitol Hill, things pass because they have to pass. And Mark Wayne Mullen has to be confirmed. That's just. Yeah, you can't, you can't blow up the president's nominee and leave Homeland Security without a secretary, given all that's going on with terrorism and immigration and everything else. However, it does speak to maybe swing and a miss that people at the White House did not put the touch on Rand Paul ahead of time and ask him, hey, what's going on? Do you actually hate Mark Wayne Mullen since you are the chairman of the committee that needs to approve his confirmation? Rand Paul has said, I will vote against it, against him. And he really called out Mark Wayne Wallenberg Mullen for, among other things, basically joking that after Rand Paul was attacked by a neighbor and broke six ribs were broken, Mullen said he understood why somebody would jump Rand Paul and he didn't think that was funny at all. And so we'll see what happens. The buzz right now is that Mullen gets through, but it's, it's unfortunate that this speed bump happened and hopefully the White House can straighten things out with Rand Paul because he, he was a rebel, but now he's in leadership and he's a very important guy in the Senate.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, we've got some sound from that. Take a listen. This is some of the exchange from yesterday.
Mark Wayne Mullen
Listen, I think before I can start my opening statement, I have to address the remarks the chairman made calling me a liar. Sir, I think there's everybody in this room knows that I'm very blunt and direct to the point. And if I have something to say, I'll say, say it directly to your face.
Brian Glenn
That, that pretty much set up the, the rest of it. Now what I will say about Mark Wayne Mullen and he didn't spend a lot of time in Congress before he Quickly went and became a senator. And then now obviously he's very humbled as his words would say then that he's in that position that he's in. Do you remember the exchange he had when he really challenged one of his test? Got somebody testifying to stand up and, and fight right there.
Neil McCabe
President of the Teamsters. The Teamsters caught up and he caught up and he said, all right, let's throw down, let's throw down now. Right. And cooler heads prevailed.
Brian Glenn
But, but no, they let her, they later buried the hatchet on that. They had a podcast together. They have come together and now they, they, you know, they work in, in, in hand in hand. But I think that's one thing that I appreciate about Mark Wayne Mullen. He's a total alpha male. He's an ex MMA fighter. He's, he's a, he's a man's man. So I think this position will, it'll be perfect for him. But I do got to call, I mean, look, Rand Paul for calling him out, that's pretty, pretty stand up as well. I mean, you got to call it out whether or not you agree with it. Yeah, it's strong. It's strong. Well, all right.
Neil McCabe
Remember, you know, it's like if you go from Washington, the same distance from Washington to Oklahoma City. Right, right. In Europe, you might pass through six different countries speaking 10 different languages. And it's in the United States, you know, there are tons of subcultures and different traditions and customs. And so, you know, a guy, a doctor from Kentucky and an MMA fighter from Oklahoma, there would be a cultural clash anyway.
Brian Glenn
That's a great point, Neil. That's a great point. All right, appreciate it. Well, I know you're going to be on Capitol Hill all day. Well, we'll keep an eye on you. Thank you for joining us this morning. All right, we're standing by for a live Pentagon briefing just ahead. Let's bring in now Rabs, David Zier. David, you're at the Pentagon. Never a shortage of topics to talk about. What do you think they're going to discuss today? Obviously, Israel striking some, some gas infrastructure there. US claims they didn't know that was going to happen. Some reports differ from that. What do you expect today?
David Zier
Yeah, should be a flurry of questions about that activity. And it's day 20 of Operation Epic Fury. 7,800 targets hit, 8,000 combat sorties flown so far. Massive 5,000 pound bunker busters, deep penetrator bombs trying to take out anti ship missile sites along the Persian Gulf in The Strait of Hormuz. And these attacks were in retaliation that Iran did. It was the first time they attacked major gas and other facilities across the Middle east, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE intercepted missiles and it caused them to suspend operations in Abu Dhabi at the Habshan gas facility in the Bab field as well. So this has had an impact on the oil markets. Oil climbed to $112 today on Brent crude. It's about 98, I believe, for West Texas crude here. But experts are saying that prices could push 150, $200 a barrel, you know, as the Middle east supply collapses here. And I wanted to just add, you know, 7 to 10 million barrels per day from global supply has been removed from the markets. And these, this may impact the prices going forward. But even if the conflict ended tomorrow, it'll still be a slow process, you know, to recoup this. And we're going to get info from Pete Hegseth on the status of operations and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Kane. But I just wanted to point out, Brian, there's other shortages going on, helium shortages, which is really important. It's a byproduct of gas production. And that could impact semiconductor prices worldwide, which are already under supply chain pressures. It's an essential component to keep the process stable while they manufacture semiconductors. And also tungsten prices are up fivefold. Very important for missile components, counterweights and aircraft and helicopters, artillery shells, grenades, bulletproof vehicles. The US has a projected increased use of 12% this year. We haven't mined it since 2015. Most of the world dependent on China for that. And one, in closing, you know, boots on the ground headed that way. US Tripoli sighted off the coast of Singapore, being tracked. CNN reported 2,000 Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. I'd like to ask Pete Hegseth today if I get the opportunity maybe about what their role will play in Iran.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, it's interesting. I'm glad you brought that up, David, because I was going to ask you, this isn't the only military movement that we're looking at right now. China reports surrounding Taiwan, so there could be an escalation there. I'm glad you brought up helium, because that does affect semiconductors. And any escalation between China and Taiwan would also disturb the semiconductor integrated circuit market as well. So there's a lot going on. And then, David, we haven't talked about Cuba. Like, what is the latest on Cuba? Do you anticipate any questions today or have you had that in the past in regards to Cuba?
David Zier
There may Be questions about it. People are hungry and the economy is kind of shut down over there. And that oil that they got from Venezuela is critical, probably hanging in over their heads there. We'll see where that goes. But demonstrations and fires have been set and, yeah, that's interesting timing. It's an incredible time, not only in the Eastern Hemisphere sphere, but here in the Western Hemisphere.
Brian Glenn
Yeah. Real quick before I let you go, because I know you gotta, you gotta balance and get in that seat, which, by the way, you've got the best seat in the house. David Zier, you're literally right in front of the podium, front row. Props to you and real America's voice for getting that. What is, what is the vibe in that? And I mean, now that the war is on, what, day 20, is there more media or are they getting a little, a little bit more agit, not agitated, but a little bit more aggressive in the questioning? Because this thing is playing off, I think, a little bit longer than they originally thought it would. What's, what's the tone in the, in the briefing room?
David Zier
I think it'll be pretty tense today. You know, there's questions on boots on the ground. There were reports the White House did have a plan maybe for special operations to take out uranium sites. And will the Marines be put on Carg Island? People want to know the answers to that. And when will shipping lanes open up? There's a lot of stuff going on. And then there has been a little bit of an uprising within Iran. This Fyre festival campaign against the regime. People are taking to the streets a little bit. Internet still shut down, though, and they're cracking down on the private VPN configuration. So the regime is, still has some control. People want to know, you know, what is the transition going to look like. I think the media is going to be pretty tough on Hagseth and General Kane today, and we'll see, you know, how they respond to that.
Brian Glenn
All right, David Zier, one of the very best we have in our company. Thank you so much for being there. We'll have that press conference as it breaks. Yes, sir. Thank you. All right, up next, we'll check in with the one and only David Brody right here on American Sunrise. And we'll get you set for what's happening ahead. Stay with us on this Thursday edition.

All right, welcome back. We look real hard. They there's David Zier right there, standing up in front the Pentagon. In front of that Pentagon, there he is, the very own David Zier. We'll go to him as soon as that press conference starts. Welcome back. I am Brian Glenn. Always good to have you with us this morning. To wrap up this hour and to go into the next hour, we'll bring in David Brody, the other David on all this show. DAVID Brody, Pentagon Not a shortage of topics to talk about Last night, an Israeli strike on a gas line. I believe President Trump kind of responding to that. And then of course, you have this war going into day 20. Thoughts on what you might hear today from the podium?
David Brody
Yeah, obviously I have a lot of random thoughts, which is my brain pretty much all day long. And let me start with this random thought that has nothing to do with what you asked me about. But I do wanna just quickly say, how about that bump music? God, grit and guns with a Pentagon shot? I mean, that kind of is appropriate. It's kind of appropriate.
Brian Glenn
I'm just saying we've got the best of the best. I agree. I agree. Yeah. And plus, you got, you got David Zier there.
David Brody
That's, you know, I mean, he's schmoozing. What is he doing? He's working the room. What's going on? David Zier, this is impressive.
Brian Glenn
He is working the room. Look at him. Yeah, he is working the room.
David Brody
All right, sorry. I digress. No, I saw David Zier and you know, to be a fly in the
Mark Wayne Mullen
wall right now, Brian.
David Brody
All right, but anyhow, so where do I begin? Well, how about we begin with a lot of what's going on regarding the oil fields, like you mentioned, right? Okay. So this is a big, huge deal, a big freaking deal that Hegseth and Dan Kaine are gonna have to address big time today. Like, what in the world is going on? We got Israel striking the South Pars oil field that clearly President Trump does not like, based on his true social post, basically telling Israel to stop it. And they're doing it out of anger. I mean, that's not good. You know, you need to have cohesion. Doesn't seem like there's some cohesion there. So I'm curious about that. Obviously, what President Trump was talking about specifically is that he might actually blow up the South Pars oil field if indeed Iran continues to hit Qatar. I'm like, oh, gosh, here we go again. Remember the executive order that he signed a while back regarding Qatar? You know, we're gonna protect Qatar at all cost. And I'm like, oh, I'll be honest with you, Brian. And once again, I always do the disclaimer. I'm for what's going on over there in Iran, you know that I'm your friendly neighborhood Zionist. I say that all the time. But let me just say I got some concerns. This thing could spiral out of control real quick. I mean, if we're talking the fact that Iran is now hitting Kuwaiti oil fields, they're hitting Saudi refineries, they're hitting Qatar, the largest liquefied natural gas area in Qatar, Okay? And this could get away from the United States quickly. And that's why I think out of all of the Pentagon briefings that we've seen, this one could be the most significant. Because I think they're going to be, as David Zier said earlier to you, I think they're going to have a lot of hard questions they're going to have to answer today.
Brian Glenn
I hope so. And you know what? The guy that's at the gas pump and you know, anytime USA is feeling the effects of this, especially diesel prices, Dave, but we hadn't talked about it on a lot, but diesel prices are up, that these shipping companies, now, these trucking companies are tacking on like a 20 to 25% fuel surcharge on top of their quotes. So this is costing Americans everything. All right. David Brody, you're the best by the way. Yeah, go ahead.
David Brody
I was going to say Brent crude up 118A barrel I believe, but anyhow, that's a whole nother thing.
Mark Kwan
Go ahead.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, I was gonna say more. David Brody here in about 30 minutes we'll have live coverage at the Pentagon as that develops. David, thank you very much and all. As always, thank you for tuning in with us to start your day with me. Tomorrow will be our last show before we turn it over to Steve and Ivy Gruber. They'll take you in on this seven o' clock hour.
