Welcome to American Sunrise Early Edition. We're glad that you're with us this morning. I am Brian Glenn. We have a lot to get to this morning. First, history unfolding in real time. Day three of Operation Epic Fury. Iran's supreme leader, the Ayatollah Al Khamenei is dead. Nearly 50 other top leaders also eliminated. The United States and Israel striking at the heart of the regime. Celebrations erupting around the world as a dictator falls. But war is far from over. The State Department issuing a worldwide caution for American citizens. We're live with the very latest. Then back here in Washington, the White House defending the strikes as necessary. But on Capitol Hill, a brewing battle over the wars, the War Powers act and what all of this means for the markets will be the latest as well. And in Texas, a deadly mass shooting in Austin now being called an act of terrorism. What investigators are saying this morning and why concerns are growing about possible Iranian sleeper cells. All that and much more on this Monday edition of AMERICAN Sunrise starts right now.

Happy Monday morning to everyone. We've got a lot to get into before we go any further. Conditions on the ground can impact operations. Let's get a quick check on the Forks forecast dealing with the region. Jordan. Now is Adrian Hernandez. You've got a specific forecast for the Middle east for Iran and the surrounding areas this morning.
Adrian Hernandez
Yeah. Brian Glenn, early on this morning out in the Middle east, things are looking actually relatively quiet. You know, over the last 12 hours, we've dealt with some cloud coverage. But at the very least, our troops aren't going to have to be dealing with any rainfall of any capacity because things are staying relatively dry. Temperatures wise are going to be anywhere from the high 50s, a little bit up higher in elevation and then the low 60s out in places like Baghdad. And then looking ahead in the forecast again, a lot of this is going to be up for grabs here. But we do have some precipitation or really some cloud coverage coming back. It is only reflectivity we're seeing on the forecast here or forecast modeling. Excuse me. So this could just be cloud coverage. It could be just a little bit of rainfall. But regardless, it's not going to be anything too out of this world. We're not looking at a washout condition. We're not looking at heavy, heavy snow anywhere across the Middle east, just potentially more cloud coverage for our troops to potentially deal with out there. But now across the lower 48, we're going to bring you back here, take you out to Kendall, Florida. This is a look on Sunday we had some really, really stormy conditions down in southern Florida. We also had whiteout conditions out in Iowa City, Iowa, on Sunday. We're still going to be tracking the remnants of that system as it continues to move eastward. Looking at the Ohio Valley, we got lower temperatures. We are potentially seeing some snowfall in this region and then some really, really warm southern temperatures with temper temperatures potentially getting up to the 90s out in Phoenix. And of course, with some warmer temperatures down south with some moisture added onto that. We'll have a severe weather outlook. We'll have a large hail threat for portions of Oklahoma City. And then going into Wednesday, that risk will start to increase. We'll have a slight risk for Dallas and the main threats will be large hail and some damaging winds. So, Brian, that's a better look at what's going on across the lower 48. Elsewhere, though, things are going to be looking relatively calm. Back to you.
Brian Glenn
All right, Adrian, I appreciate it. We'll see you back on American Sunrise here soon. Thank you.
Adrian Hernandez
You got it.
Brian Glenn
All right. Now to our top story. This is day three of a widening war, Operation Epic Fury expanding the US and Israeli forces, striking more than 2,000 targets around Iran since Saturday. The supreme leader eliminated, top commanders gone. Iran's retaliating targets, US Bases and allied nations across the region. Three American service members have been killed, several others wounded. The conflict now spreads beyond Iran's borders with Hezbollah and Iran backed militias. Joining us now is President Trump saying that the strikes were necessary to end Iran's threat and calling on the Iranian people to seize what they've called their hour of freedom. Take a listen to the great proud people of Iran. I say tonight that the hour of your freedom is at hand. Stay sheltered. Don't leave your home. It's very dangerous outside. Bombs will be dropping everywhere. When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take.
Guest/Panelist
This will be probably your only chance for generations.
Brian Glenn
All right. Joining us now is geopolitical analyst Brandon Weickert, Senior Editor at 1945.com. Brandon, as far as this war enters day three, what's our impression of it so far?
Brandon Weickert
Well, it's definitely been relatively effective for the United States in the sense that we have been able to hit targets. The Israelis have been able to hit targets within Iran. We've gotten the ayatollah, as you noted at the top of the hour. But we haven't gotten the kill shot in and I don't think we're going to. In fact, the the real news that's not being talked about here is before the war began on last Saturday, the the Pentagon assessed that we had roughly eight days of armaments for in the CENTCOM area of responsibility. Aor, we we have gone through now, as you note, three days of those eight days worth, which means next week, next Sunday or Monday, if this tempo continues, the CENTCOM AOR stockpiles will be depleted of critical interceptors and land attack missiles, the tomahaw, which means if we want to continue the war, if the Iranians don't surrender, and I don't think they're going to, then we're going to have to pull critical stockpiles out of the Indo Paycom area of responsibility, leaving our troops and our allies in Asia completely vulnerable to any kind of Chinese intervention. Therefore, this war, I think, is not going to end well for the United States if we don't get an conclusion of within the week to the conflict. And I don't see any conclusion on the horizon.
Brian Glenn
You know, it's interesting when we all got the notifications on Saturday morning early that US Forces had struck Iran and we were engaging in this battle with along with Israel, I had to go back and think about, well, what was said in the State of the Union, what has been the messaging from this administration prior to that point. And we were all under the assumption that we were still negotiating and that there was still an option. But now we find out that this had been planned for months, that they were going to do that. I don't think they ever had plans to finalize their negotiations. I thought they knew from day one they were going to make a strike with on Iran.
Brandon Weickert
And this is what I've been saying every time I'm on your show. When the issue of negotiations came up, I said it was a ruse. This is exactly what the Trump administration did last year in the run up to the 12 day war is they promised that, hey, we're gonna go and get negotiations. And then at the last minute, the Israelis and the United States then went on the offensive. Uh, I think it's important to understand how we got Ayatollah Kamani. I, you know, I'm not a fan of this regime. Happy to see the Kamani and the regime go away. But how we got here was we told Kamani right before we clipped him that we're going to sign a temporary ceasefire and continue negotiations on March 1st. And then the Ayatollah who was hiding out in his bunker said, okay, fine, we're gonna do that. And then he revealed himself coming out of the bunker. We knew he was there and we were able to kill him that way. So we've been using diplomacy as a canard to allow for us to target the regime's key leadership. But that's going to have very deep impacts, Brian, on our diplomacy and the rest of the world. Who could possibly trust the United, or at least the Trump administration when they say, hey, we want to go make a deal? Mr. Kim Jong Un or Mr. Putin or Mr. Xi. And then suddenly, looking back at the recent history, these leaders realize, wait, if we go make a deal with these guys, they might try to blow us up. This is not good for American honor or for America's diplomatic strategy globally.
Brian Glenn
And it's sometimes, Brandon, it's really hard to figure out when you see videos online of these massive crowds on the streets in Iran that are celebrating, you don't know if they're celebr. Celebrating the death of their leader or they're angry. And I sent a video to a very good friend of mine that grew up in Iran, sent him the video and said, what are they saying? He said, man, they're still chanting death to America. They're upset that their leader was killed. What's some of the feedback that you're seeing online as well? Are the Iranian people, are they happy this guy is gone, or are we being misled? And they're actually upset.
Brandon Weickert
Iran is a country of almost 100 million people. It's a multi ethnic and multicultural society. It's actually a lot like the United States in that way. Some people are happy Kimani's dead. Many others are not. A lot of the people, no matter who they are or what their politics are in Iran, are very upset that we're bombing them. And in fact, many of them are probably wondering, okay, you got Kamani. Why hasn't this ended yet? And so I would not put my money on the idea that the Iranian people are just going to overthrow these, these, these leaders. The irgc, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, took operational control over the country last summer during the 12 Day War. The Ayatollah was a figurehead. Killing him made us feel good. It was cathartic release after 40 plus years of hostility. But it doesn't actually end the conflict or weaken the regime. And that's another thing. The regime has not been weakened, it has been degraded. But the leadership remains in place. The key leaders and who've been killed, they've been replaced with even in some cases, deadlier, more ambitious, bolder people. So this is not having the intended effect, the Trump administration's policies here, which leads me to the last point I want to make here before we go on to the next thing, which is the, the mismatch of objectives. We have three objectives. Regime change, we're getting rid of the nuclear weapons and getting rid of Iran's ballistic missile threat. Iran's regime has one objective, survival. And they know that by next Sunday, next, our arsenal in the region is depleted. And then we're scrambling, trying to figure out how we're going to continue the war we are not going to achieve right now, at least two out of those three objectives. We might get them to reduce the nuclear weapons issue, which is what they were promising to do already. But getting rid of that regime so far is not happening. And getting rid of those ballistic missiles will never happen now because the Iranians can't. Meanwhile, the Iranians win just by hanging on. Yeah.
Brian Glenn
Brandon, let's get to the reaction of MAGA that we've seen online, and it is very mixed. We know that on the campaign it was promised no new wars, no regime change. But also President Trump has always emphasized that they cannot have a nuclear weapon. That's been pressed from really the very beginning in 2016 when he ran. What have you seen the reaction? What's the overall consensus from MAGA about this escalation?
Brandon Weickert
Well, there's always a core contingent of MAGA that will, that loves what Trump does, no matter what he does, no matter what, if it's a reversal or what, the trust the plan crowd. But that is an incredibly shrinking group of MAGA supporters. The rest of us, and I was an OG Maga guy in 2015 when he came down. I organized the scholars and writers for Trump Letter back then. So I know I have a very good poll on maga. And most of the MAGA people I know are confused and confounded. Why is he doing this? This was unnecessary. You know, I was on Bannon show yesterday and Erik Prince was on before me, so I got to hear some of his comments. And Eric Prince, who's one of the leading supporters of Trump, said what I've been feeling and many MAGA people feeling, why did we do this now? There was absolutely no reason to initiate this now. And now, you know, as Colin Powell told George W. Bush before the Iraq invasion, you break it, you own it. And this notion that, well, don't worry, there's no ground troops, doesn't matter, we're owning it. This is Trump's mess now, and he doesn't have a way to clean it up. And this really could blow back on him in many different ways, and it may weaken MAGA even more.
Brian Glenn
Well, think about this for a second, Brandon. I know we got to wrap up. We're just months away from really kicking, getting into the campaign season for the midterms. If this was to get even messier, that can turn off a lot of voters. They simply will not come out and vote. That is a fact.
Brandon Weickert
I think that's already going to happen. I've already. I've already priced in the idea that we are going to see a Democrat sweep in November, which means they're going to try to impeach Trump and everybody around him. And at this time they are claiming that there might be some kind of violations of the Constitution. So their impeachment could very well hold muster here, especially if the Republicans don't have the numbers in Congress to stop it.
Brian Glenn
Yeah. Brandon, thank you so much. I appreciate. I know you put in some long hours. Thanks for getting up this morning with us.
Guest/Panelist
Yeah.
Brian Glenn
All right, coming up, Wall street gears up for a opening bell. It's going to be interesting. Then the very latest in the White House in Capitol Hill as more Americans are facing this morning, that much more here at America Sunrise after this.

welcome back America's Sunrise Early Edition. I am Brian Glenn. Thanks so much for having us. Good to have you on with us this morning, we're tracking the White House, we're tracking the markets, the latest in the Middle East. So join the conversation on Getter YouTube and Rumble. Now to the markets. Wall street is about to react to the events in the Middle East. Let's go straight to the business and market analyst Seth Denchin. Seth, good morning. What should investors expect as we head towards a very interesting Monday morning opening bell?
Seth Denchin
Yeah, Brian, this is not uncommon when you see geopolitical unrest for markets, especially going into a weekend and leading into a Monday market open for there to a large market sell off. Now the question really is, and I think we'll know this by we'll call it 10 o' clock this morning, is to whether or not this sell off is going to be a continuous process throughout the day or was this investors, institutional investors repositioning their cash capabilities to invest in different stocks.
Brian Glenn
Right.
Seth Denchin
We saw over the weekend and in early morning kind of pre market trades oil and gas defense stocks, some of those starting decline. So the sell off that we saw over the weekend effectively pre markets, this really could be a repositioning of cash as the market becomes cyclical. Now one thing I will point out, we saw that the 10 year treasury dropped below 4% on the yield. That's a big development because ultimately that means that could have positive impact on mortgage prices and other things. But I think right now markets will be in a reactionary mode to get cash on the sidelines ready to deploy depending on how long this whole series of events lasts.
Brian Glenn
Now when you got the notification, Seth, on Saturday that this whole war and exactly what it is started, what was your initial reaction as far as the long term? Because I look at the momentum that we've had with the economy, when we talk about inflation, the rate coming down and the affordability, you know, that now things have really subsided now that we're entering an escalation with Iran, how much would this set us back as far as something if something really was to get messy in this escalation, how much of effect that would have on the market in our economy like pump the price of gas, you know, it's way down. But are we looking at a spike going into summertime? Yeah.
Seth Denchin
You know Brian, there's a couple of things to consider here and of course my reaction was multifaceted.
Bobby Charles
Right.
Seth Denchin
As a first, as a human looking at any type of conflict, it's painful to see. But recognizing too that national security is a must all of that to say I think that there are a couple of key things that you think about. One is your long term trajectory kind of shifts a little bit. Instead of thinking by 3, 612 months, you kind of go into 3, 612 days and you start to think about what is going to be the immediate reaction on currency exchanges. What does this do to the next Fed meeting? My sense is that if you were thinking that the Fed is going to cut rates in the next meeting, probably not going to happen now just because a lot of this is going to have to stabilize out. So I think it changes the reactionary window of your mind when you're thinking about your money in the market because there's so much uncertainty, you can get yourself bogged down in trying to overthink the things you can't control.
Brian Glenn
Beth Denson, thank you so much for joining us. I know you'll have a quick, you'll have a sharp eye on that bell when it opens up a little bit later this morning.
Guest/Panelist
Thanks, Brian.

All right, welcome back America Sunrise Early Edition. I am Brian Glenn. Thanks for with us this morning. We want you to be a part of the conversation. Just join us on Getter, YouTube and Rumble. All right, as the situation in Iran continues to unfold, the bigger question now is is what comes next. Joining us now is former Assistant Secretary of State Bobby Charles. Bobby, good morning.
Bobby Charles
Good morning.
Brian Glenn
All right, so what does success look like from here on out?
Bobby Charles
You know, I think it's important to give a little bit of historical context here. This will be described as some sort of a hegemonic act. But I will tell you, this is a cry from within Iran. And there has been, there have been cries from within Iran many times before. This is the first time it has actually been answered by the United States and by those that are hearing the cries of literally millions of people, 91,93 million people in Iran, who are saying we are done with this theocratic tyranny. And so the first thing I'll just note is this is us responding to an internal outcry. Just within the last four or five weeks, they've killed 30 or 40,000 of their own people. These people are sick and tired of being crushed. So second big point is I think this is really ultimately the end of the Iranian theological tyranny. I don't see how they survive this. The next thing I would expect is the irgc, which is their Revolutionary Guard, to probably split from within the minute that happens, everything changes inside that country. And I'll also add a couple of simple points. One is we are using technology I think that we have had for a long time but have not used before. I will also note that I, Russia and China will stay out of this. They will be most concerned because they need to be about any internal uprising that this gives rise to in their own worlds. So I think they're going to be concerned internally. And that really leads to the last point, which is that we probably need to be internally concerned because there are always sleeper cells and we need to be aware of the potential for internal disruptions here.
Brian Glenn
What do you think a realistic timeline for the Iranian people to develop a new leadership? Because I've always heard that the existing leadership or what was the existing leadership was rather deep. And so taking out one or two leaders or even 40 or 50, may not completely get rid of the ideological approach to their government. What's, what's.
Bobby Charles
Yeah, so they are, they are a. Yeah, so this is a radical Islamic State. They are unique in their radical and also in their military capabilities to support their radical ideology. You could argue that this is going to be a series of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 as they get taken out one by one, which I think would happen. But I don't think that's really what's afoot. I think what's afoot is a big strategic change. We have not seen this in Iran's. This is as big a strategic moment, I think, as 1979 was, which brought these folks to power. In many ways it has the potential, it does have the potential to spin out of control. You could see the extended conflict where they basically lose their minds and shoot missiles everywhere. They have basically mid range and short range missiles for which we and the Israelis have a lot of defenses and the Europeans have some. They do not have a long range missile. So their missiles are not going to hit the United States. But I think they could try to play this out as long as possible to survive. I don't think that's going to happen. I think at the end of the day, or let's just put it this way, in the final analysis, the strategic change is really what's afoot. And you can change the deck chairs on the Titanic, but the big event I think is occurring.
Brian Glenn
I think probably what people are asking at home as they watch this play out, are we finally done with the narrative that Iran has nuclear weapons or they're two weeks away from having a nuclear weapon and that we seem to be kind of baited into this conversation so many times after this. Can we finally say we are done with this, this terrorism state of Iran?
Bobby Charles
I believe that we are on the cusp of that. And I credit Donald Trump for having had the tenacity, the courage, the foresight and the strategic thinking to first hit the nuclear site and essentially disable it, if not indefinitely, for a long time. And now to respond to the Iranian people who by the way, were supported in all the European capitals, Canadian capital here in the United States, there were big protests in support of them. What's happening, Brian, is that their desire, their wish, their craving for freedom, where they have finally said that death itself is not a big enough deterrent for them to prevent them from seeking their freedom. That cry for freedom has been heard around the world and really it was heard by Donald Trump more immediately than almost anyone else. I think he said, you know what we need to be done with this. State sponsor of terror, who has been pushing for nuclear weapons, has been pushing, by the way, for long range missiles. We need to knock them out now and not have the world be terrorized in the future. And I think it was brilliant.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, yeah, definitely a strategic move. Let's talk about, you mentioned before some sleeper cells here that could potentially cause harm to US Citizens on the ground here. There was, you know, obviously a mass shooting in Austin the other night. Suspect had paraphernalia, wearing a shirt basically with Iranian flag on it and property of Allah, I believe that's what it said. What's your thoughts on potential sleeper cells popping up here in the near future?
Bobby Charles
Yeah, so we have, there's no question there are sleeper cells in this hemisphere and they are tied to Hezbollah and formerly Hamas and some of the other terrorist groups. I would that, you know, we need to keep our heads about us. These are not likely. They're going to be watching the news just the way everybody else is and they are going to see that for whatever, you know, impulse they have to react, that Iran is actually probably on its way down. And so that will probably deter some of them. The other thing I would say, and I'm running for governor up here, I'm up by double digits ahead of the entire field. But I will tell you right now, governors I think should be prepared for looking ahead. That means obviously state law enforcement, that means interactions with federal law enforcement, intelligence sharing, regional information sharing and being prepared if any event does occur. That event in Texas was, I think, kind of a harbinger. I think we need to be prepared for the possibility that we could get more. But I also think that we are prepared. I mean, law enforcement has long been prepared for this. National Guard is prepared. The military is prepared. And I think what I would like to believe is that saner heads prevail. And if you see something, you say something. And at the end of the day, we end up in a much safer position than we've ever been before because the Iranian nuclear threat disappears.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, I agree. And the local police there responded in about, I think under a minute. They were there on the scene. I know up and down 6th street there's a lot of police activity normally, but very I want to just say that they did respond swiftly. Hey, we we appreciate your time this morning. If people want to get more information on your gubernatory run, what's the website for you?
Bobby Charles
We are absolutely. I would love to have people go to bobbyformain.com we are up by double digits. We are going to crush this and turn this state red in Maine. And that will be a true example of how you do it. This is a blue state that we're going to take red and we're on the on the way to doing that. Terence Bates
Hey, Brian, Good morning to you this Monday morning, of course, as you can imagine, starting off off with talk about the current war between the United States, Israel and Iran. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Kaine, scheduled to host a news conference at the top of the hour to discuss the situation there in Iran. The duo will likely discuss arrangements for the soldiers who were killed in Kuwait as a result of retaliation attacks from Iran as well. At the moment, the military confirming three deaths and at least five people seriously wounded. The death toll comes as President Trump is warning there will be more American casualties.
Brian Glenn
We pray for the full recovery of the wounded and send our immense love and eternal gratitude to the families of the fallen.
Guest/Panelist
And sadly, there will likely be more before it ends.
Brian Glenn
That's the way it is, likely be
Guest/Panelist
more, but we'll do everything possible where
Brian Glenn
that won't be the case. But America will avenge their deaths and deliver the most punishing blow to the terrorists who have waged war against basically civilization.
Terence Bates
And Brian, just in this morning, Kuwait has accidentally shot down three American F15s. We're hearing that all six crew members were able to eject safely. As for those casualties, they did happen in Kuwait, again affecting an army unit that oversees supplies and logistics. So Kuwait becoming a scary place to be, Brian, for U.S. military, including Air Force and Army.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, I mean, it was only a matter of time before we saw something like this. And obviously our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the fallen soldiers. But you know, just like President Trump said, there's probably going to be more. That's, that's, this is war. We're in a war.
Terence Bates
Yeah, absolutely. You know, don't be, don't be confused. This is absolutely war. And just want to put up prayers for all of those service members and civilians who are working and serving over in the Middle East. We pray that they all come home safely back here at home. Brian, in your home state of Texas, this is a story everyone's talking about as well. The FBI investigating whether a deadly shooting in Austin is related to this weekend's attack on Iran. Now, I've got to warn you, folks, some of the video you're getting ready to see may be disturbing to you. Police say the man who shot and killed at least two people and wounded more than a dozen others was wearing clothes with an Iranian flag design on them and the words Property of Allah on his shirt. You're looking at video of the scene. We're beeping out a lot of the curses that was heard in this video. Amid the gunshots, the shooting also being investigated as a potential terror attack this morning. The gunman is among the dead after police shot and killed him. Now, all of this went down in Austin's entertainment district early Sunday morning. Investigators say the gunman initially drove by a bar and opened fire on a group of people who were sitting in the patio area. It was a drive by. He shot out of his window. He then got out of the car. Brian. And continued his rampage on people who were walking to down the street. The Department of Homeland Security, Brian, is saying that the shooter is a 53 year old who was originally from Senegal. He entered the United States in 2000 on a tourist visa and eventually married an American before coming a naturalized Citizen back in 2013. And Brian, I'm sure you probably know this area. Most people who've been to Austin know the 6th street area. It's a. It's an area, you know, like any college town that's got lots of bars and restaurants and that kind of thing.
Brandon Weickert
Thing.
Terence Bates
It's where many of the kids from UT Austin, or the University of Texas, as folks in Texas call it, go to hang out. And just sad that this sort of thing happens. And the fact that it happened on the heels of the attack on Iran, obviously, is going to raise even more questions about potential cells that might be here in the United States.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, my youngest son that goes to Texas Tech sent me a message last night. This Ryder Harrington, a student there in the Austin area. It was a kind of a memorial. The barstool Longhorn put out was one of the victims there the other night. And my son said, dad, we were just there a couple months ago, that very club. And that club, or it's more of a bar, sports bar type, is in one of the nicer sections of 6th street there. Lots of police activity, is always there at night just for the safety of everyone. And I will say this, this. They did respond to this shooting in about a minute. If I'm not. If I'm not mistaken, it's like 54 seconds they actually responded. So, Terence, this is the world we live in now. And since we've had this wide open border now, obviously this was Naturalized, married a U.S. citizen, but you can only imagine how many more of these radical Islamic terrorists, that's basically what it is, are among us. And you just got to have your. I think you're head on a swivel, Terrence, wherever you go in public, Brian,
Terence Bates
I think we come from the same ilk because I just told my daughter, she went out Saturday, and those are the exact words I said to her. I said, look, keep your head on a swivel. Watch what's around you, watch who's around you. Make a plan. When you walk in any place, make a plan on how to exit. That's just what it is. That's just what you have to do in this day and age, particularly in this current environment. All right, Brian, before I let you go, it is Monday morning or before you let me go, because this is your show. My bad. It's Monday morning. And the question for you would be, do you know where the videos and the transcripts of Bill and Hillary Clinton's depositions as part of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation? The answer is probably no. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer says the closed door testimony from Thursday and Friday will be released as soon as the Clintons and their lawyers approve it. In the meantime, Congressman Comer is out with his own details about the former president's six hour deposition. On Friday, Clinton testified under oath that he saw nothing and did nothing wrong when he associated with Epstein decades ago. Committee members also say that Clinton testified he never saw anything to make him think President Trump was involved with Epstein. With all that said, we are hoping that the video recordings and the transcripts of both interviews will be released as soon as today so that you can hear the interviews for yourself. Brian? I'm hopeful, not necessarily optimistic, but I'm hopeful those videos will come out sooner than later.
Brian Glenn
I agree. I agree. And it's nice to hear former President Bill Clinton kind of telling during that deposition that President Trump had nothing to do with that. And the women that have come forward has said President Trump has had nothing to do with that. So it's kind of nice to, to hear a little bit of backup on that. Terrence, thank you so much. And we'll see you back in on America's Sunrise. Appreciate it.
Guest/Panelist
Thanks be.
Terence Bates
Have a good one, brother.
Brian Glenn
All right. All right. Now to Washington. A war powers fight is now brewing. Joining us now, national political reporter Neal McCabe. Neal, this is going to get spicy. What's the latest thought on this war powers vote that expected to take place sometime this week?
Guest/Panelist
Yeah, it's going to be very interesting because both Speaker Mike Johnson and Majority Leader John Thune, both Republicans, have given constitutional air cover to the president with statements that they put out Saturday morning where they asserted that Congress had been notified and that the administration was fulfilling its obligations to notify Congress. And so, you know, the War Powers act, you know, it's there, it's on the books. It was passed over President Nixon's veto. Every president, Republican, Democrat has asserted that the War Powers act is unconstitutional pretty much because of the back end of the War Powers act where after 60 days or a 30 day extension, the president has an obligation to pull those troops out. And so presidents have asserted that you just can't pass a law telling me that I have to pull troops out. And it also signals an enemy, hey, if we hang out for 90 days, we're good to go. So, you know, every president has said, including Trump, that the War Powers act is not constitutional. However, it is interesting that Rubio, the Secretary of state, Marco Rubio, he went to Capitol Hill, he gave notification to Congress, let people know at least the senior leadership. And so we'll see how it plays out. My look at it, I'm not an attorney. My look at it is that even though they haven't accepted the War Powers act as legitimate, the White House has fulfilled its obligations.
Brandon Weickert
Brian?
Brian Glenn
Yeah, it's always a fine line that they have to walk because, you know, if they were to go and make a full pitch for a war, it gets public members, if on both sides of the aisle come together, they leak information. Why would you want to give our enemy any kind of heads up of what we could do? I've always thought this whole war powers thing was a little, I think it compromised our national security, to be honest with you. But I do think a lot of the members wanted more, you know, kind of explanation the why they're doing this, to explain it to them why this would of course, yeah,
Guest/Panelist
well, you know, the constitutionally right, we think of it in three branches, but I think of it as four. If you consider, you know, House, Senate, Supreme Court, President, the Supreme Court in the Senate, their real only power is to say no, whereas the initiative can be at the House or the President. And so it's like, but the House has all the great powers, taxing, spending and war. And so obviously members of Congress in the House, they want to preserve those prerogatives and they expect someone to talk to them. I think the White House has gone out of its way to do that. It's not like they, you know, it, it wasn't a complete surprise. And it was also interesting that the Board of Peace was here right before this attack. So I'm assuming that all of those people who attended the Board of Peace, all those world leaders, they were briefed in that something was going to happen. And I was saying before that the final tell that the attack was intimate was going to be the USS Gerald R. Ford being on station. It turns out that the final piece before the attack was launched was that General Dan Raisin Cain fired the director of his staff, Admiral Klatch. And so if apparently there was some internal, internal squabbles or for whatever reason, but to fire a three star admiral the day before an attack, that seems significant to me. And it turns out that was the final piece before the attacks went forward. Brian?
Brian Glenn
Yeah, Neil, you're obviously at the White House right now. What was the security like for you coming up to the complex there in and around the White House? And maybe you passed by the Capitol this morning with this enhanced security. Do you did you notice anything different today?
Guest/Panelist
No, but I will say that that fencing that was put up before the state, before the State of the Union, you know that that fencing is still that sort of J6 fencing, I think that's what you call it. You know, that's still up. You know, Lafayette park has been closed for renovations, so that's not going to be open soon. But tourists were here Saturday walking around. And you know, the gates that you walk through, the initial perimeter, it's the same as before Saturday. I did notice a lot more police action and a lot more police presence in the city. I'm not really detecting that now. I think that people, I guess what you'd say, Brian, is that there was already serious security and they think it's
Bobby Charles
good enough right now.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, I would agree with you on that. Neil, thank you so much for your reporting this morning. Well, I'm sure we'll see you a little bit later today. Thank you.
Guest/Panelist

David, good morning, my friend.
David Brody
Good morning, Brian.
Brian Glenn
We were just talking offline about kind of waking up on a Saturday morning. I was coming back from the Texas event with President Trump and you know, jumping on the Internet. Next thing you know, on social media, it's on. Your reaction when you first were informed that we were engaged in this escalation with Iran?
David Brody
Well, I mean, the first reaction is no surprise, but then there's kind of like a take a breath for a second and go, wow, this is really happening. So it's all kind of combining together. Look, you know, a lot of people, we talk a lot about this. Brian I have a lot to say, obviously, as you might imagine. And guess what? We have two hours on American Sunrise to potentially do that unless we're preempted by the Pentagon press conference conference at 8am Eastern. But there's a lot to say. First of all, let's start with this Peace through strength. Everybody loves to talk about the peace part. This is the strength part. You don't get the peace without the strength. And a lot of people just go, stop at peace and go, hey, I don't want any wars. You know, I just don't. I don't want to go there. Well, sometimes you have to. And you know, one thing I don't want, Brian, is in five years, six years, seven years, when there is a Neville Chamberlain type president in the White House, some sort of squishy liberal Democrat, and Iran was not taken out now, and their ballistic missile program is now an intercontinental ballistic missile program. And in five to seven years, we've got a Neville Chamberlain type and we've got major problems in America because of the situation that is going on right now. And here's what I don't want, Brian. I don't want us to say, in seven years, man, Trump had the opportunity and he didn't take it. And now we're screwed. I don't want that. I don't want that. I think he had the opportunity. He's got the chutzpah. There's a few other words that I can't say on television. And he did it. And he did it. Now everybody talks about Trump being strong. This is it. And look, in terms of America first, let me just be very clear. You know where I'm your friendly neighborhood Zionist, okay? Let's be honest.
Bobby Charles
All right?
David Brody
But here's the thing. There's a couple of things. America first. Why is this not America first? 17Americans killed at the Beirut embassy or the US embassy in Beirut in 1983. 1983. 241Americans killed by Iran. We're talking about by Iran. Oh, by the way, Hezbollah, which is Iran, same thing. 241Americans killed in the Marine barracks in 1983, the Khobar Towers. 19 killed there. 600Americans killed in the Iraq war because of proxies that were backed by Iran. 26Americans killed by Hamas, once again funded by Iran. 26Americans killed on October 7th when Hamas went over. We always talk about Israel. Well, how about Americans? 26Americans, and we did diddly squat. Thanks, Joe Biden. Here's President Trump saying, you know what you're going to kill Americans, this is what you're going to get. And by the way, we haven't even got to the nuclear armament portion of this and there's a lot of other reasons to go in there, but how about just killing almost 1,000Americans since they took over in 1980? And that's by the way, it could be a lot more than 1000, but we'll just keep it at around a thousand. Anyhow, there's a lot more to say about it.
Brian Glenn
Why isn't that David Brody? You can get more David Brody on the other side. David Brody, thank you so much for joining us.
David Brody
You bet.
Brian Glenn
And I'm sure we'll talk later. Thank you.
David Brody
Thanks.
