The government shutdown finally ended last night as soon as the House Democrats deigned to just carry a vote and end it. Usually when you waste seven weeks with nothing to show for it, it means you're a New York jets season ticket holder. Now, all of America has felt a similar experience. Here we go again. House Democrats released some old emails where the late Jeffrey Epstein mentions President Trump. But the emails don't say anything incriminating about the president. In fact, you could argue they make Trump look pretty good. But the dishonest establishment media still published all kinds of misleading headlines about the story. Anyway, just incredible. From the incredible to the inexcusable. A federal judge in Chicago says he's going to free hundreds of illegal aliens who were rounded up by ICE during Operation Midway Blitz. Meanwhile, those ICE agents are increasingly under fire in the Windy City, literally. Call it a very major changing sign of the times. GM is reportedly telling all of its suppliers to get the heck out of China. The move is about tariff avoidance, but it's also about corporate espionage fears as well. While other big companies follow suit, this is a major development. And Venezuela's drug cartel controlled military is scrambling to protect its deadly drugs and deadly drug factories on the growing number of reports that an attack inside that country by the US Will hit any day now. Is the war on drugs about to become an actual war on drugs? American Sunrise EARLY EDITION begins now. Welcome to American Sunrise EARLY Edition, the show where faith, freedom and the values.

We will be letting the public know regularly what we have found. American Sunrise EDITION with your host, Jake Novak starts now. Welcome back to American Sunrise EARLY edition. Well, welcome. We're starting the day here on this Thursday. I'm Jake Novak. Thank you so much for joining us. Just in case you missed it overnight first, the House of Representatives, as expected, as we knew all along when the shutdown started, because the Republicans have the majority there, voted to reopen the government last night. And then President Trump, as you'll see here in just a moment, signed that funding bill back into law so that we have a government open again. This was late last night. President doesn't seem to sleep and that's a good thing so that we can get things moving again. And so now we can close the book on this government shutdown and let's just talk about some of the things that hopefully the rest of America learned. But we could have told you this, all of this before the seven week shutdown started. Here's the first thing all look, let me be honest. When the Republicans were not in the White House, especially during the Obama administration, there were times when I supported either shutting down the government or at least threatening to. And that was because there was a good chance a compromise could come from it. And by the way, compromises did come from the shutdowns the Republicans initiated during the Obama administration. But the reason why that was more responsible is because at that time, the Republicans had control of, of at least one House of Congress. When you start a shutdown like the Democrats did, without a majority in the House and without a majority in the Senate, it's not very likely you're going to get anything out of it at all. Really unlikely, especially if you don't have the majority in the House. And again, kudos to Speaker Mike Johnson. With that small majority that he has in the House. He's been getting everything passed every single time. Again, the big beautiful bill, a few other bills, and this bill as well. He, he's been getting it done. It's not easy. But the fact that that was always gonna happen, and you can see it was going to happen really was a major sign to the Democrats. Should have been not to start a shutdown. They weren't gonna get any compromises. All it was gonna take was just for a couple of, you know, a handful of Democrat senators in the Senate to cross the aisle after things got really difficult for everyone, most specifically, difficult for them. When the flight started getting canceled and the private jets started getting canceled from landing at major airports and they personally and their donors were personally inconvenienced. That's when you knew the shutdown was gonna end. But it didn't need to start in the first place. This is a very, very serious, serious thing that happened to a lot of people in America. The shutdown is not a joke for some People, especially people in the military. And look, we may wanna eliminate a lot of government jobs, but while you're working, while you are showing up to work in a government job, you deserve to be paid. Seriously. I mean, I don't believe in people working for free. That's called slavery. The Democrats used to like that, too, by the way. Let's not forget. Maybe that's what they're into. Again, slavery. But this was an absolute disgrace. The math wasn't there. The Democrats are always saying, we're about science, we're about science. Mathematics is a science. And the mathematics showed that the Democrats didn't have a majority in the House, that Mike Johnson was getting votes through with that small majority every single time. And common sense and human nature told you that eventually there would be enough senators, John Fetterman and a few of his friends would cross the aisle and eventually come over to vote with the rest of the Senate and reopen the government. All right, let's talk about that war is over. Let's talk about another potential war. Joining us now is former Green Beret, former law enforcement officer, and current podcaster, Matt Tardio. And Matt, we've got to talk now about back to foreign policy. Although I don't think this first theater is really foreign policy. To me, this is still domestic policy because we've seen a lot of movement in the Venezuelan military in the last couple of days, really ramping up and preparing for it. On the ground attack, I assume an aerial bombing or maybe a drone strike on drug cartel factories and drug cartel farms and things like that inside Venezuela. Do you think this would be a smart move? I do, and it's okay if you disagree with me. And how can this be explained to the American people, especially some of the uber libertarians who really aren't that they're kind of on the take, but who say that we should not be doing this and protecting our homeland from drugs that kill tens of thousands of people almost every month.
C
Yeah. You know, Venezuela is more or less a transfer point. Right. Like, when you, when you look at a lot of the drugs and stuff like that that are going on over there, a lot of the cocaine is actually getting manufactured next door to Venezuela. And we also have a lot of drugs that are flowing into Venezuela from India. So when, when you look at what's actually taking place there, it's not that so much that they're. They're producing a lot of it, but it is kind of like a central hub to where they go and they throw narcotics into Venezuela and then it ends up working its way out because Maduro is not exactly the most, how do you want to say, upfront or above water type of guy that, that does, you know, straight business. He ends up making a lot of deals with these, these different cartels. And so then they're able to take those drugs and move them out through sea. If you had like a country like, you know, we're going to make sure that all of these boats that are coming in, leaving our waters are actually looked after. But Maduro is likely making a lot of different deals with these guys. So that's why Venezuela is kind of a problem when it comes to these drugs flowing in and out. Yeah.
A
And it was a wonderful country with big oil profits. Hugo Chavez took over there, ruin that country. Memo to New York City. You elect a socialist and even the richest and the most prosperous city or country can go, can go into the, down the tubes pretty quickly. Look, you know, Matt, you're having all these people who are talking about, well, it's not right for the United States to attack these gun boat, these drug boats, by the way, first of all, there aren't people on those boats. They do have the power to defend themselves. It's not like we're, it's some kind of mercy ship. And people need to understand that this is an absolute war on the country. This is not an episode of Miami Vice with or Scarface where Tony Montana is trying to marry Michelle Pfeiffer and have a lot of fun. These people are putting these drugs into this country, not necessarily for profit or there's some money involved, but they're doing it to destroy the country. This is an attack. It's just the same as if they dropped a bomb. It has the same effect. I wonder if you could like, help our audience understand that this is not an episode of Miami Vice.
C
Yeah, it's number one, it's not an episode of Miami Vice. Number two, those drugs do in fact kill people. And number three, all of those people that are riding on those boats made it, made a choice to step onto those boats. It's not like they decided that, you know, they were going to wake up in the morning and go for a lovely boat ride. They're going to do some parasailing. And then the US Navy showed up and decided to, you know, take them out. That's why they're out there doing what it is that they're doing. And, and I will remind people as well, if you do not like human trafficking, you also don't like narcotic smuggling. Either when you have, you know, I say this every single time I talk about drugs. When you have drugs that are being moved in one direction, oftentimes you have bodies that are being moved in the opposite direction. You also have cartels that end up working with some people that, you know, are maybe not so friendly to the United of America. You know, I've got a theory that one of the main reasons possibly we've got so much of our naval forces that are deployed down to that area is because you do have, you know, drugs that are moving in from India. And if you guys didn't notice, over in India the other day, they had a massive terror bust where they ended up arresting numerous terrorists. And they had ricin, and it was enough ricin mash in order to kill upwards of a quarter million people. And ricin, it doesn't take very much. You look at rice and it's a lot like fentanyl. Right. Just a little tiny bit can do a heck of a lot of damage. And so it is possible that using those same smuggling routes that you have, that working its way into the country as well. And those are all things that we need to prevent.
A
Yeah. I want to talk also just real quickly about Nigeria, because President Trump has threatened Nigeria too, over its slaughter of Christians. And the Nigerian government and the. The gangs there are bracing for some kind of a US Attack. What can you tell us about that?
C
Yeah, so Nigeria and Sudan have a pretty big problem with killing Christians right now. And I think it gets a little bit misconstrued over how a lot of it's happening. You have multiple terror organizations over inside Nigeria. You have Boko Haram, which is way further up towards the north, up over towards Niger, but where a lot of the Christians are being displaced. You have upwards of a million Christians being displaced over inside of Nigeria. This year alone, you've had around 7,000 Christians, but you've also had tens of thousands of Christians that have been killed over the last decade over inside of Nigeria. So it's not a little problem now in the main central or in the central strip of Nigeria, if you will. That's where a lot of the Christians are getting killed at. Those Christians, more or less, are not really getting killed by Boko Haram, although Boko Haram does work their way into those groups, or Iswap does work their way into those groups. But a lot of it is, is kind of Bedouins and farmers and stuff like that. They're killing each other. Watch a video the other day of, you know, I think it was about 10 Christians that were lined up just getting their heads smashed in with AK47. This type of stuff is, in fact, taking place over there. I also think that we have other interests within the region as well. And this is my own personal take. This isn't confirmed, but, you know, Nigeria and Venezuela both have a lot of Chinese and Russian influence that are going on inside of that country. China got a major foothold in that country about, was it a year and a half, two years ago, with a massive lithium mine over there as well. They're controlling a lot of the minerals and stuff that come to the United States. A lot of people look at that, and they think that that's not a threat to the United States either, but it actually kind of is. It's a. It's a massive threat to our economy. And like Donald Trump said, you know, if you're going after the US Dollar, you're attacking the US Dollar, you're also attacking the United States. And China has basically vowed that they're going to hold on to a lot of these different minerals. And I don't want to say this. Control the supply coming. Coming into the United States, effectively saying what. What company can and can't get them. Tesla lost a bid. China ended up getting it. And so China's got a huge foothold over there as well.
A
Yeah. And Africa. And as I've been saying almost for 20 years, Africa, economically, is the future. And the fact that the Biden administration allowed China and Russia to really get footholds there while we were sitting on the sidelines telling everyone to wear masks and get shots was really frustrating. Want to get to next time you come on the show, what's going on in Chicago? But I wanted to remind everybody that a federal judge there is ordering all the illegal aliens who were rounded up in Midway Blitz released onto the streets. You're a former law enforcement officer. Just 20 seconds. How would you like to be a cop in Chicago right now or an ICE agent in Chicago and have all the people you just rounded up back onto the streets? I mean, hopefully this won't happen. It will go to a higher court. But this is really incredible. They really do want to open the jails in these cities.
C
Yeah. So I would start with what that judge just ordered. Right. Releasing all of those illegal aliens back onto the streets in the United States. If you ever needed a sign of an actual insurrection in this country, not January 6th, but a legitimate insurrection of judges directly violating US federal law, take a look at that federal judge ordering all of those Illegals to be released back onto the streets. Take a look at what's taking place over inside Portland, Oregon. Would I want to be working for DHS in any form, cbp, ice, anything like that right now? Yeah, I kind of would, to be honest with you, because it's, it's pissing me off to that, to that manner, to where somebody's got to stand up and somebody's going to fight. You know, you've had so many people that have actually signed up to actually work for DHS that have signed up to work for ICE in particular, see cbp. It is disgusting in this country what is going on. We have laws in this country and those laws need to be obeyed. And when we have judges, right, who are supposed to be interpreting those laws, who are falsely and knowingly falsely interpreting those laws, it's time. It's time for something to be done.
A
Yeah, this is like the foreign mercenaries they released under the streets of Rome. I mean, honestly, at least in some of the other protests we talked about years ago, it was actual Americans. This is incredible. This is a foreign basically hoard being brought into the country to attack our people. Absolutely unbelievable. Matt Tardea, thanks so much for joining us. We'll get you back on real soon.
C
Thank you, Jake.

Coming up, GM is laying down the law to all of its suppliers. This is about China and it's a big deal. Talk more about that in just a moment. And the mainstream news media keeps misleading the public. They did it again with a bunch of Jeffrey Epstein stories yesterday. Emily Finn and I will dissect that when American Sunrise early Edition comes right back. Welcome back to American Sunrise Early Edition. Get to work, Washington. The shutdown's over. Just amazing. By the way, traffic in D.C. is just about the worst in the country these days. I don't know why. I'm not really sure why that is because whenever you go into a government office building in Washington, D.C. it's almost always empty. Shut down or no shutdown. But anyway, that's a beautiful sunrise. And you can see the Washington Monument there in, in the distance. Again, folks, you don't hate. You've heard this before. You don't hate the mainstream media enough. I saw a bunch of headlines crossing across my computer yesterday afternoon and it was all about how the Democrats had released some emails and Jeffrey Epstein's talking about how President Trump was with the girls and oh, my God. And then I say, wait a minute, it's Jeffrey Epstein saying that President Trump told Ghislaine Maxwell to stop recruiting girls from Mar A lago. And then it says that, oh, he spent a lot of time with one of the victims. But in the other parts of his emails, he talks about in some pretty gritty details what was going on with other people. He's basically saying he might have been in the same building at the same time. I mean, so was I. Probably. That doesn't mean anything. Frankly, Emily Finn, I think that those emails make President Trump look a little bit, maybe better. He told Ghislaine Maxwell to get the heck out of Mar A Lago and stop trying to recruit young women from there. That sounds good to me. But more importantly here, there's no evidence of any wrongdoing here. And yet everyone who saw those headlines, especially the very gullible and now really sad readers of these left wing newspapers and websites and TV networks, their viewers, they once again got let down. They're like Linus with the Great Pumpkin and Sally, they keep saying, oh, this is it, we have the evidence. And they see in the headline it sounds like pretty incriminating stuff. And then it's not. Do you think, Emily, if there were any incriminating evidence, they wouldn't have, someone wouldn't have leaked it already. I mean, come on.
B
Well, that's the thing, Jacob. The thing that I think is so interesting about this Jeffrey Epstein case is right think about years ago, this was a Republican topic, a Republican issue. The Republicans were saying, we want to get the documents out, we want to see more information, we want the evidence. And now that the tide has really shifted and changed here, now the Democrats are wanting to go after President Trump with any of the littlest bit of detail. I mean, it could be just mentioning his name and they run with it. The New York Times has had headline after headline, as you mentioned, commenting on this. Now, at the end of the day, I think there is a lot of information that still needs to come out about Jeffrey Epstein. There's still a lot of questions about especially how Pam Bondi handled all of this. However, I just do not think that. I think it's a bit of a stretch with the small amount of information that is coming out now, but we do need to have a lot more evidence come out. Jake?
D
Yeah.
A
Look, Emily, you and I have been working in this business. We know that there is an aspect of teasing the audience, trying to get them interested, something we play up the drama sometimes of a story, although I would never do that. Just. But you know, look, we do that and I understand, but there comes a lot. There's a line that you don't cross. That really is false advertising. And when you do that, you risk losing your audience. Now, I think this is a big reason why the ratings have gone down at CNN and msnbc. It's not because they're not left wing enough. That audience, there's a large number of people who would watch that garbage no matter what, but it's because they've been letting them down. It started when Rachel Maddow promised that she had Donald Trump's tax returns. Remember that? And then she had them and there was nothing incriminating in them. And it's been on down and with the Russia collusion, I was gonna say.
B
And then she screamed, Russia, Russia, Russia. And it was nothing. Burger. There was nothing that came of it.
A
Yeah, they keep promising their viewers. I mean, imagine you're someone who just hates Trump all the time. You've gotta be angry at CNN and msnbc, in the New York Times, they've been leading you to the pumpkin patch like Linus and Sally with the Great Pumpkin. I'm still have Halloween on my mind and the Great Pumpkin doesn't show. And you could have been out trick or treating. You could have been out enjoying America. You could have been working with this president and getting a few things that you want. Instead, you've been waiting all night with Linus for the Great Pumpkin. And the Great Pumpkin never comes and you never learn. Emily, I know you learned that lesson from watching Snoopy.
B
You know, the Great Pumpkin still exists though. Jake and Lioness, Sally, Charlie, Snoopy, the little yellow bird. They all got to come together, right? I'm talking Republicans and Democrats all have to come together and get the real truth and the real evidence out. This is something that the American people are actually very unified on.
A
Yeah, well, don't go out and get the Charlie Brown Christmas tree in the next couple of days. That would be pathetic. All right, Emily Finn, thanks for joining us. We'll see you again in the 8 to 10am hours.
B
Thanks, Jake.

Early edition will be right back. That's Casco Bay, Maine. Beautiful shot this morning. It's cold but not that crazy cold yet. Maine is just a beautiful place. I encourage more people to visit there. It's a great place to, to go in the summer. I used to live there though not in Casco. I was in Bangor. Control room was asking me when. I think that's going to completely freeze over. I don't know, maybe. Definitely not this month. Maybe in early December. Hey, I want to look where the markets are going to begin. Today we had a nice another rally on the markets. Another Dow all time high and we have a muted open at the markets. They're down but just barely, not, not much of a movement downwards there. And I think the markets are, it's too bad that they can't have another huge rally because the shutdown is over. But they already rallied on that pretty much on Monday knowing that this would end today or last night. Gold is up. I said it was 4, 100 in the ad just before. It's now 4, 200. Silver is up as well. But look at crude oil all the way down below 59 a barrel right now. Incredible. Your Thanksgiving drive, by the way, especially if your airlines are still messed up, your Thanksgiving drive is going to be a lot cheaper. Let's take a look at where Bitcoin is and see if it's. It's down. Look at that. It's almost down to the $100,000 mark. It's at almost 103 right now, but it continues to sell off just a little bit again. Might be a buying opportunity. Don't say I didn't tell you. All right. Once again I have an AI story for you that's not really sexy but it's important. I have to tell you about it and because the number $50 billion, $50 billion is, that's a Sexy number. So I'm going to tell you the story. The AI infrastructure company is called Anthropic, has just announced that it's going to invest $50 billion in building AI data centers across the U.S. the first two will be in Texas and in New York. The company says those two locations alone will generate 800 new jobs for human people. That's good. And $50 billion is a lot of money. This is going to be a story that we're going to be talking about a lot. It's going to be a big build out and hopefully a lot of people will get jobs over this and some towns will get some resurgence. I hope that happens. Here's an only slightly, slightly more sexy story from the AI world that blends old tech with new tech. I like this a lot when that happens. Chevron says it's about to make a deal with a major player. That's all they're going to say. They're not saying the name of the company yet, but a major big tech player to power another AI center of some kind also in Texas. Now, I've been telling you on this program about how some of these AI centers are going to use modular nuclear reactors, smaller nuclear reactors because they need so much power. But until then, they're going to need natural gas powered stuff and plants like that, power plants and power cells to run them. And Chevron is going to make some money off of that. Remember Chevron making a big play into expanding their natural gas offerings and they're getting very practical with it. They're not just saying we have these things. They're signing deals to provide that power and to build these, these facilities for these companies. This is a very big job maker in America. I know AI destroys a lot of jobs also, but it also creates jobs, especially in some of the old tech, old parts of our economy, like oil. All right, now for today's edition of It Must Be nice to be a federal Bureaucrat. Oh, it must be nice because Atlanta Federal Reserve President Rafael Bostic said yesterday that he will retire at the end of February when his current term ends. That's nice. It's going to go off into the sunset. Bostic, by the way, has been one of the guys recently on the Fed who's been opposed to cutting interest rates. But in 2022, Bostic admitted he made a number of stock and other equity trades during the periods when people who are on the Fed's boards aren't supposed to do any trading because they're privy to a lot of private information about a lot of companies, but he did it anyway. Did he go to jail? Did he get fined like you and I would definitely do get both of those things? The answer is no. He enjoyed all of that and he was able to just go off into the sunset in February. It must be nice to be a federal bureaucrat because that means you never have to say you're sorry. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, start your engines. It's Moving america. Sponsored by artillerytea company artilleryteco.com use promo code liberty for 20% off your order. Artillery Tea is all natural whole leaf. The tea bags are chemical free and each teabag can be used twice. Artillery Tea Company is family and veteran, owned and operated and a portion of your purchase goes to help veteran and first responder charities. Artilleryteeco.com promo code Liberty for 20% off your order. This is a very big story and it's not just for moving America. I really think it might be after the shutdown ending the biggest domestic story in the United States and a big international story as well. You're probably only going to hear it on this program, so tell everyone after you hear it. Gm, General Motors is reportedly telling all of its suppliers, thousands of them, to pull their businesses out of China. Now, this is a major demand, a huge story. Why are they doing this? A couple of reasons, of course. The tariffs are the immediate reason. That's the short term reason. When they get some of these supplies that are made in China, which they need, they have to pay higher prices for them because of the tariffs. So they don't want that. That makes sense. And anyone who will bother to report this today in the mainstream media, and there won't be many, they'll leave it at that. But they shouldn't leave it at that because there's other aspects to this. This is all about what America first folks like you and me have been calling for for years, the great decoupling. We rely too much still in this country on China. Chinese made products. Chinese made in basically production, not just the products. So they don't really innovate anything, just the products that come over to this country. We should have learned well before COVID when the first Trump administration was trying to decouple from China. Then during COVID we really should have learned, but we don't. So GM is doing this now because they want to be able to rely on sources that they can trust. There's also a lot of industrial espionage in China. It's basically what they do. They steal American technology. And if you have suppliers that are working there they will eventually get a hold of your blueprints too. Not just what they're making, but the car that they're supplying. It's all, all part of this decision. And GM is just the beginning. If there are other companies that follow suit with gm, we really could have an economic change in this world. I think it would be for the better. Of course the mainstream media will be paid off by China to cry about it. So they're first not going to report it and then they'll cry. But don't tell, don't tell anyone that you didn't, you know, you, you heard it here first. This is a very big story and hopefully other companies will follow suit. And this is of course coming from the auto industry first. Toyota, which is a Japanese company, has started production of a new $13.9 billion battery plant in North Carolina, another good development here in America. And American jobs, hopefully they won't import a lot of Japanese people like Hyundai did with Korean people that work in that plant. We want Americans working there. If you have a plan here. Anyway, it confirmed plans to invest $10 billion more on top of that 13.9 billion over the next five years. This by the way, is all about hybrids. Toyota is already the world leader, at least in world car makers here in the United States. In hybrid sales, Toyota is just one company. It has 51% of the hybrid sales market share here in the United States as of just the beginning of November. That's where they are. They want to build more hybrids. People don't like Those plug in EVs as much as a hybrid that you don't have to plug in. People like that a lot more, myself included. I think those cars are make much more sense and Toyota is the leader in it. And now they're investing here in the United States to make sure that they keep up that supply. All right, Waymo Robo taxis will now take passengers, listen to this. On freeways in three major US cities. Now Waymo is owned by Google and Google is owned by Alphabet. They own Waymo and it says that it will soon begin offering in any day now those kinds of trips on the highways of San Francisco, Phoenix and Los Angeles where quote, a market choice makes it a freeway, a better choice. In other words, if going on the freeway is going to save you a lot of time, the Waymo taxi will take you on the freeway. It's not going to go on the freeway for no reason. Now this is going to be a very big deal because the fact that self driving cars and Robo taxis haven't been allowed on the freeways in the past. Really limits the amount of business they can do. Now that they can go on the freeways, maybe they'll start doing intercity travel. In other words, if you want to go from New York to Philly, maybe you can get into a Waymo Taxi. If it's a lot cheaper, believe me, people might do it. Look out Amtrak and look out Greyhound. This might be a new way of people getting from one city to the next. All right. Coming up, I'm going to dig a little bit more into the Apple and China story I first told you about yesterday. Here's a question. Why is the Chinese government against gay rights anyway? There's an economic angle to this because they're not religious over there. And I'm going to explain it to you. But first, it's only been nine days since Abigail Spanberger and the rest of the Legion of Doom swept the elections in Virginia. The legion of high pitched doom, I should say. But the incoming regime is already tipping its frightening hand. We're gonna get a closer look at that when AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY EDITION comes right back. It's Thursday, November 13th. Here are this morning's top stories. The government shutdown finally ended last night. President Trump signed that bill. But first the House had to vote. The Democrats deigned finally to end the shutdown and show up and vote for for this, you waste seven weeks with nothing to show for it. In America, it usually means you're a New York jets season ticket holder. Now the rest of this country has the similar feeling. A federal judge in Chicago says he's going to free hundreds of illegal aliens who were rounded up by ICE during Operation Midway Blitz. Meanwhile, those ICE agents are increasingly under fire in the Windy City, and that's literal. And now there's hundreds more people who could attack them. Call it a major, major changing sign of the times. GM is reportedly telling all of its suppliers, every one of them, to get the heck out of China. The move is about tariff avoidance in the short term. But there's a long term corporate espionage issue here and also a change in the world economic paradigm. And Venezuela's drug cartel controlled military is scrambling to protect its deadly drugs and drug factories. On the growing number of reports that an attack inside the country, not just in the water inside Venezuela, by the US Will hit any day now. Is the war on drugs about to become an actual war? AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY EDITION continues. Now. Welcome back to AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY edition. It's a Thursday special. Welcome to you, all of you on those Many platforms where you can watch this program, program and comment at the same time. That's Getter, that's rumble, that's on YouTube, that's on X, that's on Substack. I'm reading your comments. I'm learning from them. And. And sometimes you take a hit at me. That's okay. I'm fine with that, too. A lot of you are also really funny. The best comedy writers in America are people commenting on shows and not the people writing on shows. I think that that's the case. Here's someone who has a good sense of humor and a good upward, basically an optimistic guy despite some of the rough times lately. A good friend of this program, former lieutenant governor candidate in Virginia, and the host of the Reid Revolution podcast, John Reed. John, haven't had you on since the election results in Virginia. What the heck happened? I mean, you know, we knew that it was going to be tough there and it's a lot of the deck was stacked against you. What's your take on the election results? We don't run. We folks here on this part. We don't run from bad news. We try to learn from it.
D
Yeah, I mean, it was remarkably disappointing. And I'm meeting with the pollsters that we spent so much money with who showed us five polls in a row saying that in my race at least we were tied up and then we got beaten by 11 points. That's not just a tiny spread, that's a huge spread. Jason Meoris, the sitting attorney general who's a Republican, was beaten by six points by a guy who said that he was going to kill his political opponents or fantasized about that killing his political opponents and their kids. Something is seriously wrong with polling, which is important for us to get a hold of if we're going to make smart decisions politically going forward. But I do think a lot of people in the Commonwealth of Virginia, as somebody who was out there campaigning every day, were very frustrated with what was happening in Washington and this is their way of lashing back. That's kind of a bad tradition in Virginia. Whoever's in the White House, the other political party seems to do well the following year when Virginians elect their governor in a statewide race. But that appears to have been on steroids here. And the Democrats exploited it with a heck of a lot of money. And we'll be doing a dissection of where all that money came from because I suspect that will lead to some of the folks that we're growing used to seeing over the last few Years. Soros and others.
A
Yeah, you know, it's counterintuitive, but what I have found is that the smaller the sampling, the worse the polling gets. National polling is eerily accurate in this country. It's usually not off. When you consider the hundreds of, you know, more than 100 million people voting, it's pretty accurate. Individual statewide polling is garbage. It has been for a long time. And I don't necessarily blame the pollsters. I don't think it can be done very accurately because people move in and out of states. And remember, we don't have national elections in this country. There's no such thing as a national election. In other words, there's not an election where all the, you know, we have a state by state electoral college election for president. Everything else is either at the state or district level. That's the way it works. And statewide polling, because it's actually harder to poll a smaller sample than a larger sample. I can get a mathematician on here and someone who understands cultural moves in the United States to explain it better than I can. But I'm just giving you that bottom line. And Virginia is an example. There's no way that you should have five polls showing you tied and then an 11 point spread. @ the end of the day, it's just polling is garbage in states anyway. Another sign that all Virginia Democrats do is recycle their old losers. J.J. you know the guy who's, who wants to kill his political opponents, well, he wants to kill us first by Putting Ralph Northam, Mr. Blackface, Ralph Norman, as the top of his transition team. I mean, don't they have any new losers they can bring in? Can't they, can't they bring in new losers and not the old losers?
D
John, one of the things that really is shocking to me, Ralph Northam was disgraced as governor over that stupid photo from 30 years ago. Blackface and the McLan's robe, obviously a very, very bad joke at somebody's party when he was in grad school.
A
Went.
D
Out and talked about, you know, after birth, infanticide, you know, keeping the baby comfortable while the doctor and the mother decide what to do with it, which was widely denounced as an outrageous comment. And Jay Jones brings this guy in his transition, transition head and his wife. I mean, I'm just shocked that the Democrats would do that. But after they've won with such a wide margin, I guess they're emboldened to bring everybody back. I mean, there's not one second that this group is pausing to think, how do we unify people let's not do things that will be provocative. That's what conservatives would generally think if we had been elected. After a hard fought battle, these folks are going for broke. And you see it in a lot of the decisions that are being made. The governor elect, Abigail Spamberger, just told the University of Virginia she's not even governor yet. She told UVA to pause their efforts to find a new president because I guess she's gonna insert herself into that situation. Meanwhile, for the last four years, the University of Virginia board has pretty much ignored the sitting governor, the Republican governor, Glenn Youngkin. So everybody who stayed home during this last election cycle, I think is gonna get a very rude awakening. The Democrats have no intention of working with Republicans or being passive about this and trying to get people together. They're gonna go four broke here.
A
Yeah. You know, I'm glad you brought up the thing about Rapp Northam and after birth abortion. Every time people push back on me and say, oh, it's not true. There's no Democrats who say after nine month abortion, that's a lie, that's a lie. That's a lie. You had a governor of the state while he was governor, refused to denounce that and say, yeah, you know, we shouldn't take away the people's right to have an abortion, even during birth or after. I mean, this is all on record. It's incredible how, you know, if you live in that bubble, you don't know what's going on. You mentioned it a little bit. You alluded to it just briefly. The national story, that was of course a very much a local story in Virginia. The government shutdown, a total waste of time. We all knew the mathematics going in, that this was never going to go anywhere. You know, it seems to me like maybe the angry people in Virginia don't get it that it wasn't the Republicans who were responsible for this. Maybe because they were watching mainstream media news. Do you think they're eventually going to come to the realization that it was their own party that did this to them?
D
Well, Republicans have got to carry that message out there and point out the obvious for those of us who are obsessed with this, for someone like me who spent the last year traveling around the state campaigning, it was very clear to me that this was another chapter in the Democrat playbook of we will cause as much damage as possible to the average voter in order to win their electoral goals. They did it in 2020. The Democrats shut down the economy state by state so that they could force economic pain on the American public and win against Donald Trump. And now they've done this one more time where they deliberately kept the government closed through the elections so that they could cause so much consternation and angst and anger and hostility and the national mainstream media would go along with it that they could win this election. And then, you know, I was a couple of days off. I didn't think they would wait as long as they did. I thought that the. The government would reopen on November 6th or 7th. So they kept it going a little bit longer. I think they feel like they were looking at polls and they saw the no Kings protests and they saw the anger, and they thought they might be able to exploit that for a couple of more giveaways in the Congress, and they didn't get that. So they finally felt enough pressure from the union workers that they had to reopen. But it's. It's crass, it's disgusting. It is an abuse of the citizens of the United States and the citizens of the country. Better wake up and hold the Democrats accountable for this stuff.
A
Yeah. You just basically Summarized the Democrats MO since President Trump was first elected back in 2016. Hope for their economic and other pain in the country and blame it on President Trump. And if he doesn't do it, they'll create it and still blame President Trump. That should be their national platform at their next convention. They don't have to vote on a bunch of planks. That's the platform. Create the pain, blame Trump. That's it. John, I only have about 20 seconds. Can you tell us what's next for you?
D
Oh, yeah. Next week, I'm starting a new podcast, the Reid Revolution Podcast. You'll see it all across social media and on a bunch of different platforms. So I'm excited about that. You know, I had a long career in television and was the morning host of the big news talker station here before I left to go run statewide. So I'm going to be excited about being engaged on that level. And then I'll be touring the country, giving talks about some of the issues that we've seen in Virginia that I think you're going to see cropping up all over the United States. It's exciting. You're going to be appearing on not as lg.
A
Yeah, you're going to be appearing on this program, too, a lot. Thank you so much, John. Appreciate it, and have a great weekend. I know it's only Thursday, but I'm getting a jump start. Thank you. You deserve a rest.
D
Thank you.

Coming up, I told you yesterday about Apple caving to China's hatred of gay people, but there's an important part of that story I didn't get to and it's economic and it's partly connected to that GM story I told you about earlier in the program. David Brody and I will talk about it when American Sunrise early edition comes right back. Well, that is a gray looking shot at New York City this morning. You just have that gold dome on one of those buildings in the close up here. Just looks really gray. It's actually a beautiful morning here in New York City. Enjoy it while you can before Mom Donnie becomes mayor. It's all I can say. Welcome back to American Sunrise early edition. I'm Jake Novak. It's a Thursday. Now. Yesterday I told you again, you probably didn't see it in the mainstream media. They're suppressing the story. You saw that incredible story I told you about how Apple immediately caved to the Chinese communist regime? Telling Apple to stop offering gay dating apps on the app store in China. Apple, snap to right away. Yes, sir. Yes, sir, boss. Yes. Yes, comrade. They immediately did it. Now, there's a couple of things that I didn't get to yesterday when I was discussing the story and I want to discuss it a little bit more with David Brody the first thing is, and I mentioned this on American Sunrise on the big show, but I want to do it here for this audience. David Brody I was reliably informed, excuse me, I was told all my life that anti gay bigotry was all about religion. Those mean Christians, those mean Jews. Sometimes they mention the Muslims, although they usually give them a pass. It's all about religion. Well, China doesn't have any religion, so we know that's bogus. But here's another thing that people aren't talking about first. When Tim Cook attended the Trump inauguration in January, there were massive, massive protests against Apple. People writing about how they were betrayed. Oh my goodness. President, he hasn't done. President Trump hasn't done anything bad to any gay people in this country. It's one of the big illusions out there. But Apple jumps in favor of China, which is imprisoning gay people, truly harming them, and there's nothing. They're not even reporting it. But David, the last point I'll make, this is about economics. China needs more people and they think that gay people are going to stop people from getting married and having children. So that's why they're doing this. They want a population growth again in that country. That's why they're cracking down on gay people. I don't know that's going to work, but it certainly isn't for religious reasons.
E
Well, and the one child policy, I mean, just the catastrophe of the one child policy, right? I mean everything from socioeconomic to the fact that they have the worst age, excuse me, the fastest aging population in the world over there, which of course is going to lead to all sorts of economic disasters in the future for future generations. So they got major problems there. But look, when it comes to point, and if it means protecting their bottom line, that's exactly what they're going to do. You know, and another way they compromise over there, right?
A
I mean, you know the deal.
E
A lot of that icloud stuff that Apple has is on Chinese software systems over there as well. So I mean, our servers. Excuse me, so, so that's a problem. I mean, there's a lot of stuff. It's not just those gay apps with the censorship and the servers. But you know what? Apple's gonna cave because that's what they need to do.
A
Two huge China stories the mainstream media won't talk about. Even Fox won't talk about this Apple story. And GM kicking out those supply, wanting those suppliers to get out of China. Anyway, this is an Iheart podcast.
Podcast: Real America’s Voice (iHeartPodcasts)
Host: Jake Novak
Episode Theme: Politics, Current Events, and Cultural Analysis from a Conservative, America-First Point of View
This episode dives into major political happenings in the U.S. and internationally, with a particular focus on the end of the government shutdown, foreign policy crises (notably Venezuela and Nigeria), controversy around immigration enforcement, the business pivot away from China by major American corporations, and critical media analysis. Jake Novak leads discussions with expert guests, including former Green Beret and podcaster Matt Tardio and Virginia political commentator John Reid, bringing sharp conservative commentary and deep skepticism of mainstream narratives.
[05:12] Jake Novak (on the shutdown):
“While you are showing up to work in a government job, you deserve to be paid. Seriously. I mean, I don’t believe in people working for free. That’s called slavery. The Democrats used to like that, too.”
[13:36] Matt Tardio (on the judge’s ICE order):
“If you ever needed a sign of an actual insurrection in this country, not January 6th, but a legitimate insurrection of judges directly violating US federal law, take a look at that federal judge ordering all of those illegals to be released.”
[17:11] Jake Novak (on Epstein emails and Trump):
“He told Ghislaine Maxwell to get the heck out of Mar A Lago and stop trying to recruit young women from there. That sounds good to me. But more importantly here, there’s no evidence of any wrongdoing here.”
[19:09] Jake Novak (media metaphor):
“They’ve been leading you to the pumpkin patch like Linus and Sally with the Great Pumpkin...and the Great Pumpkin never comes and you never learn.”
[24:37] Jake Novak (on GM and China):
“GM is reportedly telling all of its suppliers, thousands of them, to pull their businesses out of China... this is all about what America first folks like you and me have been calling for for years, the great decoupling.”
[39:44] John Reid (on Democrat strategy):
“This was another chapter in the Democrat playbook of we will cause as much damage as possible to the average voter in order to win their electoral goals.”
[46:06] Jake Novak (on China’s anti-gay policy):
“China doesn’t have any religion, so we know that’s bogus.”
The episode blends pointed political analysis, strong criticism of Democratic strategies and media narratives, and a strident “America First” standpoint. It’s packed with references to current events, skepticism of mainstream reporting, and advocacy for a tougher stance against China both economically and culturally. The hosts and guests speak candidly, often humorously, sometimes with sarcasm and sharp skepticism, always prioritizing conservative American values.
For listeners seeking nuanced, right-leaning interpretations of national and global news—with a focus on government accountability, media criticism, and U.S. sovereignty—this episode delivers a provocative and broad-ranging discussion.
