Ahead on American Sunrise Early Edition the pro illegal alien insurrectionist movement is massing in Charlotte, North Carolina, making that city the new focal point of the new American Civil War. Charlotte has also become the focal point of Democrat and mainstream media deception campaigns. Today is the day the House will vote to release all the Jeffrey Epstein files, something the Democrats enjoyed threatening to do but will likely regret it when it actually happens. A federal magistrate judge issues a blistering critique of the prosecution in the James Comey grand jury investigation, but will it be enough to dismiss the case? Cleaning out the Clutter in the Pantry now that SNAP food stamp benefit money is restored, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins is forcing all recipients to reapply for the aid in hopes of clearing out a lot of fraudsters. Get ready for the media sob stories about that. And several members of the LA Lakers have reportedly turned their cell phones over to investigators as the Lakers and some other teams are now implicated in that widening NBA bet rigging scandal. Oh, this is going to get a lot worse. Even as the mainstream and sports, sports media continues to try to suppress the entire story, they're not going to get there here. American Sunrise EARLY EDITION starts now.

American Sunrise Early EDITION with your host Jake Novak starts now.
Jake Novak
Welcome, everyone. It's a busy Tuesday here in American Sunrise EARLY edition. I'm Jake Novak. Thanks for joining us. A lot of breaking news over the last 12 to 18 hours. But I want everyone to focus now on what I think is going to be sadly, the biggest flashpoint that we've had in this entire battle. First from the Trump administration to clear out dangerous illegal immigrants and other types of illegal immigrants from this country and the now coordinated, violent and also political effort against it. Because that flashpoint now is in Charlotte, North Carolina, actually, the whole state getting into the act. I know we've had incidents in Portland. We've certainly had incidents in Chicago, where there as well, the local Democrat politicians were joining with violent groups to put our ICE agents in danger. But North Carolina seems to be massing as an entire state one way or the other. And our ICE agents are in danger. And really our country is in danger. And I want everyone to pay attention to North Carolina right now because this is brewing to be really the big story that we're having to deal with. Joining us now is North Carolina Republican executive committee member Margaret Akis. And Margaret Margot, your state is now ground zero in this fight to deport illegal aliens. We know that around the Charlotte area, ICE has been massing and working, but they've also been targeted. There is a big target on their back. And what are you seeing? I know you're in western North Carolina, but the whole state is getting into this act, isn't it?
Margaret Akis
Well, this has been a long time coming, Jake. Honestly. You know, Charlotte is the largest city in North Carolina, is the biggest trafficking, human trafficking point between Atlanta, coming from Texas up. So this is we're excited that this is finally here. And it's exposing people, especially the sheriff's department, the governor and the attorney general, because they're not doing what they need to do to protect North Carolinians, which these people are not.
Jake Novak
Yeah, I'm going To take the ball that you guys gave me and run with it with the Governor of North Carolina, Josh Stein, because he is a major bomb thrower in all of this. He put out a video and I want everyone to understand, just preliminary disclaimer. Almost everything he's going to say right now is not only an unproven accusation, but major gasoline on the fire. This is going to get. Hopefully not, but it really feels like this could get ICE agents killed. Listen to the governor of the state of North Carolina. This is incredible. Listen to this.
Josh Stein (Governor of North Carolina)
We've seen masked, heavily armed agents in paramilitary garb driving unmarked cars, targeting American citizens based on their skin color, racially profiling, and picking up random people in parking lots and. And off of our sidewalks, going after landscapers, simply decorating a Christmas tree in someone's front yard and entering churches and stores to grab people. This is not making us safer. It's stoking fear and dividing our community.
Jake Novak
I mean, this is outrageous. ICE agents killed. Go ahead, Margo.
Margaret Akis
I'm not surprised at him at all. First of all, that's Josh Stein. He's our former attorney general, who's known to be very radical. He and Roy Cooper, who's running for Senate right now. Roy Cooper was governor. They created this equality and justice thing that really caused this. It was the impetus for this. Neither him nor Roy Cooper have done anything about the sanctuary cities in North Carolina to include Charlotte as the largest one. Greensboro, Raleigh, which we've heard today. ICE will be in Raleigh, which we're very thankful for, all the way down to New Hanover county, where Wilmington is. So this is not new to us in North Carolina. And the rhetoric from the left is not new either.
Jake Novak
Again, I just want to dissect a little bit more of what the governor just said. Going after people, simply decorating Christmas tree. That's why they arrested them, because they were decorating a Christmas tree? No, it's because there were warrants out on them. There was information about them being illegal aliens. These people. And so many times, Margo, it's been like clockwork. Every time some member of the left or a Democrat politician has cried about a particular person being arrested or deported, it turns out they have a ridiculous rap sheet of terrible, terrible crimes, including a lawyer for one of them last week who was crying about someone and it turned out they had really vicious crimes on their rap sheet. What a disingenuous statement. And let's just make it clear, Democrat or Republican, usually what you want when you're the elected leader of a state is peace and quiet. You don't want to rile up the people and to get them all involved there. And I want to say one last thing about this. Despite all this hyperbole, again aided by the mainstream news media, despite all the hyperbole, the polls, Margo, are not moving on this issue. If anything, more Americans now support the deportation of all illegal aliens, full stop, no matter what rap sheet they might have. In addition to being an illegal alien, more of them are actually supporting this than before. So when Josh Stein and other people make videos like this, who are they talking to? Not the voters, because they know they haven't convinced the voters they're talking to people like this. I want to show you this video. I'm going to show you a video now of people going out into the woods and hunting the ICE agents. They're trying to. This is totally the opposite of what the governor is talking about. He's trying to make it sound like ICE agents are hunting innocent, nice people here. Are these people mentally ill? Clearly, activists going after ICE agents in the woods. This isn't into like a school or a hospital and playing some kind of music on their iPhones to see, sort of annoy them and scare them. This is what Governor Josh Stein wants. He wants an insurrection. Everything they blame the Republicans for four years ago. This is it. I mean, have you seen stuff like this in your, in your part of the state, Margo?
Margaret Akis
I haven't seen it here, but I have heard quite a bit about it in Charlotte and around Raleigh. We do know that there's going to be massive protests. That's exactly what Josh Stein and his whole side want. They want to show this. They want to make it seem as if people are against this, which is not true, especially not in North Carolina. We want safety. We want our state back, and we want to stop spending money on illegals in our schools. Yesterday, 21,000 children in Charlotte schools did not go to school. What's that tell you? Tells you we're spending a lot of money on kids that may not belong here.
Jake Novak
That is. I know Stephen Miller, the president's, you know, one of his top advisors made that point. They were trying to dunk on the Trump administration and dunk on this whole deportation thing by saying, oh, my goodness, all these kids aren't going to school. But again, it backfired. It got people like you and me to say, wait a minute, you have tens of thousands of illegal immigrant children who are so connected to people who are clearly on the deportation list that they're not going to school that they have to go into hiding. Those people are not victimized by ice. They're not being victimized by the Trump administration. They're being victimized by their parents and who, God knows who else, brought them to this country and put them in this kind of a situation. This is incredible. The amount of money, the amount of space that's being taken up. And Margo, I talked about this yesterday. People keep talking about compassion, compassion, compassion. If you only have compassion for the illegal aliens and not the schools, the city streets, the public transportation area, that they're making a huge impact on those poor people, really poor people who are sending their kids to a lot of these schools, then it's not compassion, it's favoritism. And North Carolina is becoming such a flashpoint for this. Margo, why do you think they're targeting North Carolina so much? There's other reddish states out there. Why not someplace else?
Margaret Akis
No, because North Carolina is the 9th largest state when it comes to economy. It's the pathway to the White House. We know illegals are voting here illegally. We know that the dmv, who has got a bunch of leftists in it, are taking in illegals and putting on their applications for a driver's license, that they're an American citizen. We know why they're here and we're excited to have them. And honestly, I just want to say this, Jake. The people that are suffering the most are the taxpayers of North Carolina who are footing the bill for all of these people. So I don't feel much pity for them when they're costing taxpayers in housing, in government subsidies in schools. $13 million goes into school programs just in that tri state and that tri city area to help these kids who don't speak English.
Jake Novak
You know, I think that this may have started in North Carolina or maybe 30 years ago with the meatpacking companies there, Smithfield Farms, things like that, where we know they deliberately went after illegal aliens to work. And it's a brutal job. It's a brutal job. But also, you know, one of the other things I'm considering and worrying about, and I know you've got your finger on the pulse of the trucking situation. I know, you know, a lot of them, this is something that's become a real national story. I talked about it yesterday with how even Great Britain, which has allowed, you know, crazy migrant situation in their country, they actually haven't lowered their standards in their trucking test. But I know that on the rose of North Carolina, there's been some serious issues with illegal Aliens with licenses issued by other states. But you're saying that also in North Carolina they're getting licenses. Is that true? Oh, yeah.
Margaret Akis
Now, I can't speak for the cdls because I haven't seen that, but I've seen regular driver's licenses where they've gotten their citizenship listed as American, when in fact they're not 4,000 of them. We know for a fact that happened. We know that there's an audit going on right now because we have a new state auditor who also happens to run the election board for North Carolina from the state perspective. So now they're doing significant audits to see where the overlap is. And we know it's out there.
Jake Novak
All right. It's a, it's a tough situation in North Carolina. What, what's next there? I mean, I, I know you. There's a ramping up now for that Senate election next year because Thom Tillis, who has been not the best help to the Republican Party or to North Carolina, he's stepping down. What do you see happening there? And, and who. Is there some particular candidate who people are coalescing around right now to try to change all the damage that Tillis did?
Margaret Akis
Well, I mean, to be very frank with you, Roy Cooper's never been beaten in a race. It is intimidating. But we have two candidates on the Republican side. Don Brown, who is the grassroots candidate, and Michael Watley, who's the former RNC and NCGOP chair. And what's interesting is the two of them are neck to neck and neck right now, which tells me neither one of them is doing really well. One of them is obviously augmenting, but the other one, who's pretty well known, is not picking up the momentum as we would have expected. So it's going to be a dogfight here.
Jake Novak
Yeah, this is a dangerous situation. Well, I just want everyone to pay attention to North Carolina. It is becoming the flashpoint every much, every bit as much as Portland and Chicago. And the way that it's going statewide, I fear it could be a full on battle. And when I say that, I mean that word, battle. I really am worried about physical violence becoming statewide in North Carolina. But hopefully everyone will remain safe, especially you, Margo. Margaret Akis, thank you so much for joining us. Stay safe the rest of this week, please.
Margaret Akis
Have a great day, Jake.
Jake Novak
Okay, coming up, once again, one company, just one, drags the entire stock market down. But that could all end tomorrow. I will explain. And wiping the grocery cart clean. The food stamp program is fully funded again now that the Democrats have deigned to stop starving poor Americans and reopen the government. But now the Trump administration wants to use the pause as an opportunity to get as many fraudsters off the dole. That story and more on American Sunrise Early Edition continues.

It's a live look at Wildwood, New Jersey. Boy it has been windy in the New Jersey, New York, Connecticut area the last couple days. Really windy yesterday, the day before. So on Wildwood, which is the New Jersey shore town, must have really been windy yesterday, but a beautiful sunrise this morning. Welcome back to everyone watching on the Getter chats, on the Rumble chats and commenting. You can. By the way, you can do that on X and substack as well. Lots of places to watch and comment. Appreciated all of them, so thank you for that. Hey, this is an interesting story because we're kind of just getting it developing right now and trying to get the full handle on it. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has an idea now that we just got the government reopened and those SNAP food stamp benefits are going out again. And there was that pause. Rollins wants the government to make everyone reapply who was already on these food stamp benefits to reapply. Now, the best guess is this is being done to get out all the fraudsters, people who may have been passed away for a long time, and someone else is getting their benefits, things like that, this kind of way of clearing out the system. I'm gonna bring in Emily Finn right now. Emily, you know what's gonna happen here now over the next couple of days? We're gonna see these sob stories in the news media. The same news media that ignored the fact that the Democrats were fine with starving these people and shutting down their food stamps and that Chuck Schumer wanted to keep that shutdown going even longer and keep them hungrier longer. The same people who ignored that will be crying about how somebody has to go on a computer or check a box to get benefits. God forbid we should ask people to prove that they're real and should be getting these benefits.
Emily Finn
Absolutely. They should have to verify that they are in a situation where they need to receive this and aren't taking abuse of the system. And honestly, Jake, I think that we need to be focused more on voter fraud all throughout the US Instead of SNAP fraud. But let's. This is a good start. We can start here. I do think that the Democrats. I mean, the shutdown was the longest in US History, and they do have a ton of responsibility on their plate for letting this go on for so long and all of the negative consequences that the American people were unfortunately subjected to. And it sounds like this is going to continue on. But the good thing that comes out of this is, again, that we're verifying that these people who are on SNAP benefits actually do need them and kind of getting rid of waste, fraud and abuse. This sounds like something that Doge would be up to. Jake?
Jake Novak
Yeah, there's been terrible abuse in this program for a long time. Smaller supermarket chains, convenience store owners for years have found ways with scammers to completely scam the system. Somebody comes in, by the way, you know, we don't have the stamps anymore, which, by the way, I'm in favor of, you shouldn't be embarrassed in the store. We're at the checkout line and then pulling out something that's obviously food stamps. I'm okay with the use of the debit card to provide privacy and dignity for people who are doing that. But we haven't completely figured out a way to stop the fraud there. They didn't figure out how to stop the fraud with the old food stamps either. People used to sell them on the street for 50, 40 cents on the dollar. I know that for a fact. I used to see that in New York. But there's got to be a happy medium, Emily, between embarrassing people and also and making sure that people who deserve to be on these benefits are the ones who are getting them.
Emily Finn
Absolutely. You know, and even you see this. I remember when I was in college, there were college kids that were getting, you know, all of this extra money from their parents, but they were applying for benefits like this, and it was like, oh, my gosh, come on. You know, those kind of fraud situations, that's really hard to root out. But again, I think it's good to reapply and kind of have a new, fresh start on the process of SNAP benefits. And the one good thing, like I said, from the government shutdown, is that these programs need to be taken a closer look at.
Jake Novak
Yeah. And maybe a better way to try to get people listen. I love how Bernie Sanders, we've always talked about Europe and their welfare system. You know, in countries like some of these Scandinavian countries, they have fixed a lot of these problems. They have a ceiling and a time limit on a lot of benefits. And sure enough, right when the benefits run out, that's when people go and get a job and get off the dole. It's pretty funny. And. Well, your scam about the college students reminds me of the big scam. I went to college in Manhattan, and the big scam a lot of my friends I didn't do this did was they would ask their parents for money because it was too unsafe to take the subway. They wanted extra money every month. And then, of course, they took the subway and used the money to go drink. Emily Finn, Giving to your parents.
Emily Finn
I think all college kids have done that at some point.
Jake Novak
Yeah, it did something like that. My parents were onto me. I was never able to pull that one off. Anyway, thanks for joining us. We'll see you again in the 8 to 10am hour. Thank you.
Emily Finn
Thanks, Jake.
Jake Novak

Just Text America to 9,898.98 to claim your eligibility for a free info kit on gold. But your opportunity for free gold with purchase ends on November 30th. So don't wait. Text America to the number 989-898 for full details. Coming up, there were a lot of naysayers who said Apple would fall apart after the death of Steve Jobs. Remember that? But love him or hate him, Tim Cook has done very well at that company as his successor. But now Cook could be on the way out. Wall street would like to know what the deal is. American Sunrise EARLY Edition will be right.
Emily Finn
Foreign.
Jake Novak
Atlantic Ocean that we were showing you before from Wildwood, New Jersey, but this is Fort Lauderdale where I'm sure it's a lot less windy and a lot nicer. Welcome back to American Sunrise EARLY Edition on this Tuesday. I'm Jake Novak. Thank you for watching and for commenting on all the platforms. Let's take a look at where the markets are going to open this morning. And it's bad. It's more red. It really is. And we're going to talk about this in just a second. A little bit more detail on what we're dealing with here in the markets right now. But down on the Dow, the NASDAQ has really given up a lot. Gold is down too, but still clearly over the $4,000 mark. Crude oil, though, down at below the $60 a barrel level. Now really brace yourself as I'm about to show you the bitcoin number because bitcoin is all the way down to 91,000. This is a pretty, you know, obviously a low for the year and it is well off that 125 high. And one of the things that people are talking about is how bitcoin over the last Year or so, maybe a couple of years, has started to mirror the stock market. It used to be a hedge, used to go maybe the other way from the way the stocks were going, but now it's kind of going in the same way. And that makes it a little bit of a different kind of investment these days. But there you see it once again. It's skittishness about that company, Nvidia, which is a really important company. And I have nothing against it as a company, but as someone who does TV news, I hate doing stories about Nvidia because this is what I have to show you. A picture of a chip. Sometimes I can show you the CEO. It's just not. Yeah, there he is. It's just not the greatest story. It's not the sexiest company to show on tv, but not very visual. But remember, this is the company that makes the chips that power a lot of the AI programs. And there's been skittishness the last couple of weeks about whether people are putting too much money into Nvidia. They're looking at it and thinking maybe it's a bubble that might all end tomorrow. For those of you who say, hey, I'm going to sell now and get out, you may want to wait until tomorrow because tomorrow is when Nvidia is going to announce its earnings, its report card, its profits and its revenues for the June through September quarter. That's when we're going to find out, tomorrow. And if Nvidia blows those numbers away and really looks good as an investment, there may be a lot of people who are going to look and say, wow, I'm going to buy more shares of this right now because it's on sale. It's gone down the last couple of days. That could happen. Could also disappoint the markets and go down even further. I'm one of those guys who likes to keep his powder dry before big time economic reports, even though I don't trust them. And big time earnings reports, I trust them only a little bit more. So that's something to look for tomorrow or at the end of the day tomorrow. And I'll let you know on Thursday how that went down. All right. There are some published reports that say that Apple is very, very vigorously looking now for the replacement or the successor to CEO Tim Cook. Now they're not going to fire him. It's just about retirement. Tim Cook, by the way, is 65 years old. That's certainly not ancient. There are plenty of CEOs going way past the age of 65 but people don't think that Tim Cook's going to be one of them and that he may step down as early as next year. Now, Apple shares fell 2% on that news yesterday. They liked the job Cook did. Remember when Steve Jobs died, there were a lot of people who said Apple will never be the same app in a bad way. They thought it would go down. It didn't. Again, Apple, not necessarily everyone's favorite company culturally and politically. I understand that. But there's no denying that the company has remained very, very strong. It has more friends now at the top level. You might remember in that mid-2010 period, or 2010 until maybe 2015, Apple really dominated the markets in the way that Nvidia is now. So it's not doing that anymore. But it's still a very, very powerful and profitable company. And Tim Cook has done a good job from a shareholder's point of view. That's what I'm talking about. So they're not happy about him likely leaving. We'll see what happens. Now, it wasn't all bad news in the tech sector yesterday. We had a big sell off yesterday, as you know, and it's looking like we're going to open lower on the tech side again today. But there was something interesting that happened for the tech sector. Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway announced a $4 billion stake in Google parent Alphabet. And of course, Alphabet isn't exactly a growth stock. It's one of those dominant players in big tech. But the fact that Berkshire Hathaway right now at the tail end of Warren Buffett's tenure, as you know, he's going to be leaving the company soon. He's in his 90s after all. He has always held off for the most part on big time tech investments. So while the rest of the markets were going down yesterday a lot, Apple, Google parent Alphabet went up because Big tech is thinking Berkshire Hathaway and as many billions of dollars now that Warren Buffett is winding down and there will be a successor, maybe it will become more of a tech investor after all. And there's a lot of big tech companies that would love, love, love to get some Berkshire Hathaway money into their pockets like Alphabet did yesterday, the Google parents. So that was what was going on there. All right, ladies and gentlemen, start your engines. This is Moving America. Sponsored by ArtilleryTea Company. Artilleryteaco.com Use promo code RAV for 10% off your order. ArtilleryTea is all natural, whole leaf. The tea bags are chemical free. And each tea bag can be Used twice. Artillerytcode.com promo code RAV for 10% off your order. Ford will now allow many of its dealers to sell used Ford cars and trucks on Amazon. Now this is not new as far as an idea. Remember I told you a few months ago about how Hyundai has been doing the same thing on Amazon for a while and this though is a bigger deal. This is Ford the number one selling vehicle in America most the last 40 years or so. Although maybe the Toyota RAV4 was number one last year. We're never going to get an honest answer about that because different companies, survey companies are going to give us different numbers. But needless to say, the Ford F150 is a huge, huge deal. And the fact that people will be able to get used Ford cars and trucks now on Amazon is definitely a big deal for Amazon. I don't know how much of a big deal it is for Ford, but it's also a big deal and a worrying deal for companies like Carvana and CarMax, these companies that sell used cars online. When Amazon started doing this, I really pulled out the red flag for anyone investing in these other companies. I think Amazon is going to cut seriously into their market share like they've done to everybody else in America. The retail world in America. The brick and mortar stores that Amazon has absolutely undermined in America. It's the reason why the only brick and mortar stores that seem to be opening these days are rents, restaurant and nail salons. The two things you can't necessarily get on Amazon. Although Amazon delivers food too, you know what I mean? But anyway, this is a big deal and I think Amazon will make some money off of this. I think Ward will make some money off of this. But it's going to be more about the money lost by some of these other websites that currently sell used cars. We'll see how this develops. Following GM's lead, Tesla is following in that lead. They're also telling all of their suppliers to get out of China. Remember I told you about this last week with gm? Now it's Tesla telling all their suppliers to get out of China and not provide any Chinese made parts. This is an important caveat here. No Chinese made parts for their Teslas that are assembled in the United States. Remember Tesla has a big factory in China. Obviously they're not telling their suppliers to get out of China to supply the cars assembled there, but this is a very big deal. Now Tesla is not wasting time. They're telling their suppliers to get this job done within the next few years and some of them are going to try to do it within one year. And we are getting some reports from people inside some Tesla factories that say that Tesla is already swapping out some of the components. The Chinese made components for some of their cars. This is a big deal because Tesla was one of those companies just a couple of years ago that was all in on China everywhere. Remember Elon Musk went to China, opened up those factories. Look, those factories are still running in China. But the fact that he's decoupling them here in the United States, another big development. Remember I said other companies would follow. I'm looking for waiting for a non auto company to also follow this lead. So I'll be paying attention to that now. A running theme on this program has been following Nissan's desperate attempt to stay alive. I'm kind of rooting for Nissan. Don't love all their products, but I wouldn't want to see them go out of business anyway. Here's something that they hope will help it stay alive. It's a soon to be available 3 row plug in hybrid rogue SUV. But if this vehicle that you're looking at right now looks suspiciously familiar to the Mitsubishi Outlander, for those of you who really know your cars, you're not imagining things. It is basically the Mitsubishi Outlander and they're getting into a partnership with Nissan to allow Nissan to put its name on it and to make a few changes, specific custom made changes to it. But hey, anything to survive. The Outlander is a popular vehicle. Nissan wants to ride that wave to try to stay alive. And we'll see how well that sells. A Nissan Rogue can. The current version of it is a huge seller here in the United States. So expanding that brand might be the ticket for them. Well, here's something that's ending. After 27 years of production, the last Ford Focus rolled off the line on Friday. The Focus was actually, if you can believe this, was once the best selling car on the whole planet. Now that was mostly because it was so popular in Europe. Those little cars that they like to drive in Europe and those winding streets and old European towns. The Ford Focus was very popular for that kind of driving, but it was a big seller here in the United States too. But Ford CEO Jim Farley, and not mincing words, he just says the car does not have enough of a profit margin anymore to keep on going. So rest in peace, Ford Focus. We loved you when you were around, at least the Europeans did. Coming up, the US Housing market is still plagued by high mortgage rates, high prices and most importantly, not enough supply. But billionaire Bill Ackman is about to come out today with a solution to at least some of those problems. We'll tackle that and more when AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY EDITION comes right back. It's Tuesday, November 18th. Here are this morning's top stories. The pro illegal alien insurrectionist movement is massing in Charlotte, North Carolina, and all over the state, making that state the new focal point, the new ground zero in the violence. Charlotte has also become the focal point of Democrat and mainstream media deception campaigns. Today is the day the House will vote to release all the Jeffrey Epstein files, well, all the ones they have now. That is something the Democrats have enjoyed, the threatening to do and teasing and using innuendo. But when it's now really going to happen, they may not really like the results. A federal magistrate judge issues a blistering critique of the prosecution in the James Comey grand jury investigation. But will it be enough to dismiss the case entirely? And the US Housing market needs help. But as hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman the guy to fix it, we should find out today. American SUNRISE EARLY EDITION continues.

Back to AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY edition. It's a Tuesday. I'm Jake Novak. Thank you to all of you who are joining on many platforms where you can not only watch this show live, but you can comment live. And I read the comments and so do the other folks here at Real America's Voice, the era of passive news watching is over. Save that for your binge watching on Netflix. When you want to be an active person in this country, an active patriot, not only do you need to watch the right news programs, but you need to be able to interact with the people putting them together. And I'm really happy that we do that here. It always bothered me in my many decades of news that I couldn't find out what the viewers were thinking in real time. And we can do that now. And I'm taking advantage of it. Joining me now is AML Global founder and tech expertise and live shows. And I want to talk about what I just talked about before the last break about how one company is really dominating the stock market, this Nvidia that makes the computer chips that power AI. I'm sorry, folks, I know it's not a sexy company. I can't show you a really cool video of what it does. Jensen Huang, who's the CEO, is kind of a good interview, by the way, a rarity by the way, but still not that exciting. But does it bother you as much as it bothers me that one company is really dominating our investments? People who have 401ks and IRAs? If you're watching, Nvidia really is playing a very big role in all of that and I don't like that. I'd like to see us more diversified. How about you?
AML Global Founder / Tech Expert
Morning, Jake. Thanks for having me. Well, I will say in any area you don't want to have a single point of failure, and especially in the US tech economy, we want to make sure that we remain a global player, the leader in AI, which this is an area where the US is dominant. All too often we hear about, hey, how the US is losing its leadership, how other countries and other areas are surpassing our tech leadership and AI. The US still is still the global dominant player and Nvidia is an important part of that. So you don't want to have a single point of failure. And it is absolutely true that Nvidia is years ahead of every other company. Its ability to produce the powerful computer, computer chips, these powerful computing powered chips that drive the AI industry, that they are the essential infrastructure. So it is a big deal that we're reliant, not just the US but really the whole global community is reliant on one company. There are others that are starting to get in the space, but they're still years behind. So Nvidia is an important component to the US tech industry, to the US AI infrastructure and they're ahead of everyone. But once again, we want to avoid single points of failure.
Jake Novak
Yeah, it's an obsession. People keep thinking about how Wall street is so sophisticated, they're so smart, they're the masters of the universe. At the end of the day, they're betting on one horse and I just find that pathetic. And as you said, it's dangerous. It's just dangerous to do that. They keep telling us diversify, diversify and they don't practice what they preach. Now, I want to get to the wider economy here. The polls show that American voters are really focusing more on the economy. Again, they never really stopped focusing on it. I've never seen it out of the top three of issues that American voters are focusing on. But it's up there again. And this is clearly now the run up now to the midterms for 2026. And you can see President Trump really trying some new ideas here, going back and forth on some of the tariffs to see if we can get some of the grocery prices down. But you're you know, I've had, I've had a lot of guests on who give me their grade for the economy. I had somebody on last week who gave it a C plus, B minus, which he still thought was a passing grade. He's, he's not like Harvard with those grade inflators over there. How about you? What, what's your overall feeling about the economy here? And if you had to give it a grade, what would it be?
AML Global Founder / Tech Expert
Well, I'll say this. Things are still expensive. Everything's expensive. And just in my everyday walking around, picking things up, buying things, picking utility bills, if you, you know, the one thing that comes to, if you are working on an hourly rate, hour to hour, and you work that hour, you get paid. You don't work that hour, you don't get paid. It's really difficult to see how you make ends meet. Usually we used to say things are more expensive in the city, but I spend time in the city, I spend time outside the city, and everything everywhere is expensive. So when you look at it from that perspective, there's true challenge. I mean, a grade is only a grade. You know, it is a challenge. You know, and it's interesting when you think about the stock market, while we've had a recent pause, pullback, you know, it's been charging ahead while we have this, this, this other true challenge going on with how expensive things are. So you have one aspect of the economy roaring ahead, but you know, when you short it to the ground and get on the grocery store level, things are really difficult for people that work really hard.
Jake Novak
Yeah, I mean, this, the, the inflation that most of Americans had been free from having to suffer from since really the early 80s came back with a vengeance under Joe Biden. And by the way, this was a deliberate policy by the Biden administration to spend up to push inflation higher. This is exactly, this wasn't an accident. And we are really still struggling to get away from it. This is not a Pandora's box that you can open and just shut and everything will, all the horrible things will go back in and there's just, it takes a lot of work to do this. So one of those things that really, really shot up under the Biden administration, under the Trump administration, we were between 2 and 3% mortgages. We're now between 6 and 6 and a half percent. We've been over 7 in the Biden years as well. That's a huge, huge increase. Percent. I mean, somebody's like, well, that's only a few percentage points. No, it's, yes that's correct. Percentage points. But as a percentage, it's a huge jump. It's a ma. It's a tripling almost of where we were on the mortgage rates during the first Trump administration when Biden came in trying to get those rates down. So today, later today, Bill Ackman, the hedge fund billionaire, is going to unveil a plan to try to lower mortgage costs. Now, apparently, Ann, what he's gonna try to do is push for the consolidation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which he says these two backstops for the mortgage process and infrastructure in this country are driving up costs. And if you consolidate them, we can lower costs. You know, and I think that's great and I like new ideas, but I'm a big supply and demand kind of guy. And to me, if you want to lower the price of something that everyone wants. Since caveman times, we've liked living indoors. I think we got to increase supply. I would much more like to see our priorities put on that.
AML Global Founder / Tech Expert
Oh, I completely agree with you. We have to unfreeze the market. We have to create movement of assets in the market. We have to create a market. And Bill Ackman deserves a lot of respect for some of the issues where he has kept the light on those important issues in recent years. So I'm looking forward to see what he proposes today. But remember Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac? These aren't lenders. They are government sponsored entities, government corporations that buy from the lenders to create liquidity, create securities and insure these mortgages. They're not indirect privity with the daily buyer, with the daily seller. And on that note, even though these things, these two things are inherently related, we can really talk about the mortgage industry and the housing market almost different. I view the mortgage industry as the macro industry, whereas the housing market is that economy, that market where a buyer and the seller are, you know, you know, a direct player. And while what, you know, what Bill Ackman is going to propose, I'm looking forward to reading it. It's definitely going, you know, going to be an interesting, you know, event at 10:30. I'm really, you know, really focused on the types of programs, such as what the administration is proposing, of a portable mortgage where you can take your home mortgage with me because that is where the buyer and the seller are actually interacting and can understand it, can touch it and feel it. If you got a house and you're under 3%, why would you move to go buy a house that's three times expensive and three times the rate but if you can take the rate with you, your rate that you qualified, and let's say you have $475,000 left in that mortgage, you could roll it over to a new property that will create a market that will unlock the assets. So I know this is in something that the administration is talking about and I'm really excited to see if that actually materializes.
Jake Novak
You know, I want to talk about the cultural aspect of this as well. You know, we have families that are broken up in this country. When people retire and, you know, they don't want to pay the property taxes anymore, especially since their kids are grown and they're not going to schools, but they're almost forced out of their homes in places that they've lived all their lives that might still be amenable for older folks because they can't afford it. And then they end up moving further away from their children and grandchildren. The children, when they come out of college and maybe have been working for a little while, can't afford to live in that community either. It's caused this incredible spreading out of families and breaking up of things. I just, I would just, we need to have more housing options in the, in the, in the places where people want to live. And by the way, it's not only politics that, that stops it sometimes. It's very short sighted communities. They don't want a townhouse community or an apartment building in their neighborhood, even though that means that their kids are going to have to move away because they can't afford to buy the houses. Real quick, Anne, I want to talk about these tariffs. That's another thing where we're talking about cost of living. You were talking about the cost of everything. I think the dumbest phrase that I keep hearing from people is taco, I can't stand it. Trump always chickens out. No, that's called business. When Trump, President Trump imposes a tariff, gets some revenue from it, gets people to understand they need to make a trade deal and then cuts it back a little bit. That's not him backing down or chickening out. That's him getting what he wanted out of something and then getting some relief for the American consumer. I think this is good strategy and hopefully this will lead to lower costs at the grocery store.
AML Global Founder / Tech Expert
Yeah, it's not a zero sum game. It's not digital logic 1 0. I mean, this is a, this is the global economy. These are interrelated economies. And yes, in a perfect world, we, there's, you know, we don't have terrorists, we just have, you know, extensive free trade, very busy economies, very busy global economies, except that we aren't always dealing with countries that are as reasonable as us with their economic policy or as in good faith as us. So sometimes we have to go back to, you know, go back to the table and say, look, this isn't this is an equitable playing field. And until we get things level, until we get things straight and an equitable economic relationship, this is what we're looking at. And that's part of the bargaining process. That's part of the negotiating process. Of course, we all want to be the same place, but we have to get there first.
Jake Novak
That's right. Well, and livestream, thank you so much for joining us. Have a great rest of your week and hope you find some bargains out there.

Look at Naples, Florida, home of Ave Maria University, where, by the way, you can take some video courses taught by my dad, David Novak. Professor DAVID Anyway, welcome back. A magistrate judge has bashed the conduct of prosecutor Lindsey Halligan in the James Comey Classified info case, which by the way, is an open and shut case. There's absolutely. There should be no dispute in the evidence in this case. But according to that magistrate judge, the prosecutors broke some rules. There was some prosecutorial misconduct. You know, the kind that they were doing all the time against President Trump and didn't really. No one said anything about that. But do it to James Comey and you know, he's got friends in town. David Brody is not one of James Comey's friends in town. He's not one of his enemies either. I'm sure that they would get along fine. David Brody's a gentleman. But David, I gotta ask you this. Seems to me this could really undermine the case, which would really be, I think, very, very sad. Not because I really, I don't really need James Comey to get marched off to prison. I think personally, I think he probably deserves it. But that's really not my main focus. My main focus is something needs to be done as a chilling effect to these career bureaucrats, especially at places like the FBI, to stop abusing their power. And if James Comey gets off on this and they don't even take him to trial, that's going to be a big green light for more of these jerks to do this kind of stuff.
David Brody
Yeah, and I'm afraid that's exactly what's going to happen. Jake. I was looking up quotes this morning because once again, like I said, I just do random things at six in the morning. And Benjamin Franklin once said, for the want of the nail, the shoe was lost. And that pretty much sums it up here. In other words, the shoe, James Comey could be lost. That case could be lost for not dotting the I's essence, in essence and cross, the tease and the devil here seems to be in the details. Look, I mean, this is all about Lindsey Halligan, let's be honest. You know, just appointed just a few days or what was it about a week before this whole thing happened regarding the grand jury testimony with James Comey. So look, I mean, what are you gonna do, Jake? You can't bumble it, you can't bungle it. We don't know all the details, but it does seem like there seems to be at least some potential errors here. And that's not gonna make happy. But look, you know, when it's the deep state, there's always something going on. You better make sure you got your ducks in a row, otherwise you're in big trouble.
Jake Novak
Yeah, and if they can't punish the people who did it before then. Maybe they just need to clear it all out and not replace folks when they get. When they retire. I don't know what to say. It's such a bad situation in D.C. but you're one of the bright spots there. And so is American Sunrise coming up in the next two hours. I'll join you in the 9:30 area around there and we'll see you on early edition tomorrow at 7:00am thank you.
