Ahead on American Sunrise EARLY Edition. Shutdown. The Democrats once again block a stopgap spending bill and force the government to shut down just after midnight last night. They think simply opposing President Trump on everything will win them new supporters, but it could also cost them the midterms and a whole lot more instead. Why are they doing this? The answer is they're getting paid off. We'll talk about it. No more. Woke. Military Secretary of War Pete Hegseth delivers a blunt speech to America's top military leaders and reminds the world that the US Military is meant to be a lethal force, period. President Trump makes it clear to Hamas in case they didn't get the message on Monday, accept a peace plan, surrender or be obliterated. Couldn't be more clear than that. Pfizer says it will finally give US Customers the best prices for its drugs. And if its competitors don't follow suit, President Trump says he'll hit them with new tariffs. And it turns out several states have been issuing commercial driver's license to illegal aliens. But in New York, they're doing it with no full name on the license. Are you kidding me? It's all to help them avoid being caught and deported. Hey, can I get that deal so I can speed all I want on the Long Island Expressway? American Sunrise EARLY EDITION begins now.

He will be letting the public know regularly what we have found. American Sunrise EARLY EDITION with your host, Jake Novak starts now. Hi, I'm Jake Novak. Welcome to American Sunrise EARLY edition. And hello to all of you federal workers who were getting a free day off right now. Must be nice. Must be nice in the real world. In the private sector, we work for a living and we don't get free shutdowns. I sure hope you don't get back pay, which you always get when you get these free vacations when shutdowns are ended. Let's see how that ends up. But yes, folks, you're waking up to a world where the government is shut down. Did the sun rise this morning for you? Is it rising where you are? Of course it is. The world will get along, but it won't be pleasant for some people. And that's the Democrats fault. They had decided to do this and they seem to be willing to admit that this was their decision. Joining us right now to talk about that and a lot more retired US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel was Larry Brock. He's also a candidate for the state legislature in Texas. Colonel Brock, I want to get to some of the military stuff in a second, but first have to address the elephant in the room or should I say the donkey in the room because this is the Democrats shutdown. They voted against a stopgap spending bill, the same bill exactly that they voted for just a few months ago, several months ago. They are absolutely willing and people like Maxine Waters willing to say it on camera to shut down the government to continue giving free health care at the COVID level. Health care, you know, that even extra money to illegal aliens. That's what they're doing this for. Even though the polls are very much against them. I can't believe that they think they're going to, there's going to be some kind of turnaround on this and the country is going to start supporting them the longer this goes on.
Larry Brock
No, I absolutely agree with you, Jake. I mean it's often perplexing why candidates do things or why incumbents do. And usually if you follow the money, you'll definitely figure it out. And I think that's the case here as well. You know, I, President Trump's one of his superpowers is to get the Democrats to continue to take unpopular positions. You know, they do it all the time, whether it's with transgender modifications or with illegal aliens. They just don't seem to have the pulse on what the American people are looking for these days or their finger on the pulse.
Jake Novak
Well, you know, you know, yeah, I mean I think that they can read. I think they know the New York Times Siena poll which came out, I think it was yesterday. Yeah it was Yesterday showed that 65% of the country does not think the Democrats should shut down the government. But I was shocked that they even questioned, you know, worded it that way. You know, polls are all about the wording and usually a New York Times poll or these pollsters will ask a question like isn't it terrible the government's shutting down? And then you don't really know who's being blamed. But they really had a good clear question this time. But what was interesting is that while it's well over 65% of the country against the Democrats doing the shutdown, 43% of Democrats are also against it. So almost half cuz only 47% were for for it. So it was basically a toss up. You're right though, they're getting paid to do this. By the way. We're finding out just this week that Ro Khanna, a very senior right now Democrat in the House, his family is being paid off by the Soros and other organizations. It's a big lie in America that you can't bribe politicians. You just have to give the money to the family members. That's how you do it. So that's why they're doing it. They can read polls, Colonel. They just won't do what the American public wants because they're getting money. I mean, honestly, really just, you know, Occam's Razor. Simplest reason, they're being paid off to take these unpopular positions. Do you see that in Texas, too, at the local level? I mean, I assume that the money goes to everyone who wants to take these crazy positions.
Larry Brock
Yeah, absolutely. There is a lobbying group called the Texans for Lawsuit Reform, and that group pays a lot of Republican politicians to do things. For example, something that you cited in your opener. You know, we have illegal aliens that are driving trucks here in Texas. And Texans for Lawsuit Reform tried to make it more difficult if you were injured in by one of these illegal drivers, to actually sue them. And so, you know, my opponent and several other Republicans took a lot of money from Texans for Lawsuit Reform to actually, you know, make that a reality, even though every Texan doesn't want that to happen. You know, if you're injured by an illegal driver, you should be able to sue and be properly compensated. So, you know, you see it all the time, Jake. You know, I bet you this is as old as, you know, bribes that went to the Roman emperors and even further back in antiquity. It's just we want our politicians to be more honest and not to take money, but to represent the people and their values.
Jake Novak
Yeah. And I tell you, false advertising. I bet you that Texans for Lawsuit Reform is not Texans. I bet you it's people not only not from Texas, but, yeah, probably not even from the United States of America. That's the other big line in America, that foreign entities can't make campaign donations in America. Again, just go through the family, go through other means. It's very easy to do. It's an old game, but now it's coming from our foreign enemies. That's, I think, a little bit of a new thing. Colonel Brock, let's turn to the big speech. To the top military brass from Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. I think this part of it summarized it best. Listen to this. For too long, we've promoted too many.
David Brody
Uniformed leaders for the Wrong reasons based on their race, based on gender quotas, based on historic so called firsts. We've pretended that combat arms and non.
Jake Novak
Combat arms are the same thing.
David Brody
We've weeded out so called toxic leaders under the guise of double blind psychology.
Jake Novak
Assessments promoting risk averse go along to get along conformists. Instead, you name it, the department did it.
David Brody
Foolish and reckless political leaders set the.
Jake Novak
Wrong compass heading and we lost our way.
David Brody
We became the WOKE department.
Jake Novak
But not anymore. But not anymore. Colonel, I have two questions about this. One, what did you think of his speech overall? And two, what do you say to some critics who say that this big speech in this big dog and pony show wasn't necessary?
Larry Brock
Okay, first of all, I thought the speech was outstanding. You know, I, when I was a field grade officer, you know, a young major moving to lieutenant colonel, I railed against all of the time that was spent studying, you know, at the time, just what was called social actions. And then I am certain that it got much worse. But you know, you have a fixed amount of time where you can train for war and anything that detracts from that detracts from your primary mission. So I thought the speech was very, very welcome. But I also think that, you know, he is facing the same institutional challenge that probably Cash Patel is facing, you know, that RFK Jr. Is facing in that the meritocracy that is beneath him, you know, the vast weight of all these generals and, and senior ranking officers inside the Pentagon, you know, they're viewing him probably as a transitory phase. And if they can just get through these four years, then maybe they can go back to doing business as usual. I welcomed the speech. I thought it was very needed to hear. And as a man that was a war fighter I always despised, you know, the promotion methodology of my own service, the Air Force, that did exactly what Secretary Hegseth outlined there, you know, that, that did allow racial quotas, that did allow quotas for sex. The only thing that should matter is iron on target and you should be physically fit enough to get it there. And I totally agree with what the Secretary of War said.
Jake Novak
You know, Colonel Brock, obviously your expertise and experiences in the military. Mine is in the news media. And it's again shocking to me, or, well, I just, I should say infuriating. It's not shocking anymore that voices in the news media are talking about how they're angry that the speech even took place. Why do this? I mean, are you kidding? Our entire industry depends on transparency. You can love or hate President Trump. You, you can be opposed to or support these policies. But this is incredible transparency. Most other presidents, if not all and their administrations would do this privately. That's not what a speech like this should be done in front of the American public. It should have gotten all this attention that it got because that's about. We live in a democratic society. We want transparency. I want everyone to hear what the policies are again, love them or hate them, and. And to have voices in the news media talking about how, oh, no, this should have been done quietly, put it behind closed doors. I mean, this is chickens for kfc. I just don't get it. But speaking of chickens for kfc, let's talk about the people who support Hamas in this country, the leftists who would be killed in a minute if they showed up in Gaza. Let's talk about this Trump peace plan from a military standpoint. You know, I guess one of the. I hope one of the things you learn in the military is that if you lose a war and you're facing an overwhelming force that's gonna wipe you out, you. If someone gives you the opportunity to surrender without dying, you should take it. And it really seems like Hamas might do it this time because Qatar, their financial benefactors, are backing it. But here in the United States, Colonel Brock, we have voices saying, oh, wait a minute, why should Hamas take it? There won't be any more Hamas. Yeah, that's what happens when you lose a war. You start a war with an overwhelming force against you and you lose. There shouldn't be any more Hamas anymore, just like there shouldn't have been any more Nazis after World War II. I don't understand the lack of clarity here.
Larry Brock
You know, Jake, I'll be honest with you, I don't either. You know, to me it makes perfect sense. They should absolutely take the deal or they are going to cease to exist again. You know as well as I do, they will practice taqiyah here. They will go undercover and they will resurface under a rebranded name. But, you know, Hamas has lost the war. You know, they foolishly gambled on October 7 that they could break the wheel, the will of the Israeli people. And that certainly has not occurred. You know, they gambled, are gambling again that they can separate the west from Israel. Now, they have been successful with several European nations, much to their ultimate shame, but hopefully the United States will always support Israel. Now, as far as the students here, I just wish, you know, like you said, we could actually have them travel to Gaza to where they could see. Have them travel to Israel. You know, Israel is the only safe, reliable and friendly democracy in the area. And I don't understand why we do not stand by our ally wholeheartedly and with everything we have as a people. Hopefully it's just a few college radicals talking. I don't believe they represent the rest of us that do stand with the people of Israel.
Jake Novak
Yeah, definitely not. Colonel Block, we have a lot of other things to talk about. We'll have to get you back really soon. I also wanted to talk about this guy in Portland, city councilman telling troops not to deploy to Portland if they're ordered to do so. That sounds like Confederate level secessionism to me, but we'll talk more about it next time. Thank you so much for joining us. I know it's only Wednesday, but have a great weekend.
Larry Brock
You too. Thank you, sir.
Jake Novak
Okay, coming up, the Trump administration is officially going to charge Tim Walsh's Minnesota with civil rights violations for allowing that boy to play in the high school softball tournament this year. How far will Waltz and company go to fight this? They'll go far. You'll see. And later, we knew some states were issuing illegal aliens commercial driver's license. We knew that. But in New York State, they're doing it without the person's picture on it or even their name on the license. Are you kidding me? We'll talk about that when American Sunrise EARLY EDITION comes right back. Welcome back to American Sunrise. Early Edition is a live look at the White House. We got the flags flying in the wind this morning. Looks like it's a beautiful day in our nation's capital. Welcome to those of you especially on the getter and the Rumble chats. X commenting on X. Also joining us on substack. There are so many places to watch this program and there are a few of them where you can actually comment in real time. And I do read the comments. So let me have it one way or the other. Hey. The U.S. department of Education has found the Minnesota Department of Education and Minnesota State High School League in violation of of Title 9 for allowing transgender athletes to participate in girl sports. Now, this case stems from a male player in the girls softball. You might remember the story, I talked about it a few months ago. A male player in girls softball who was the best picture pitcher in the whole state last year. And surprise to surprise, he led Champlin park, which is the name of a high school there, to its first ever softball title. Now the Justice Department is offering Minnesota a deal. They can change their policy, no longer allow boys to play in girls sports, award all the titles and the trophies and things like that to the girls who would have received them had a boy not been playing against them. And then they can get away without any real problems. Fines. I don't think this is not an arrestable offense. Emily Finn, I don't know. Did you play high school sports? I get a feeling that you did. How do you feel about this?
Emily Finn
I did played basketball for quite a few years during high school and must say I never had to play against men. That was really a good experience for me and all of the young women in high school with me at the time to be able to feel safe and participate in sports at that time. Minnesota has lost their mind. Tim Walls has lost his mind. I mean, it's a safety risk and a safety issue at that point to be throwing young women in the same physical arena as boys, you know, Emily.
Jake Novak
Maybe hasn't lost his mind because this is a theme on this program and I hope that we're able to continue it in the coming weeks as well. I don't think that they're crazy after all. They're getting paid to seem that way. We're just finding out now, and this is something that I thought was always the logical explanation for why they were taking positions at 80% or something of the country didn't want. They're being paid off now. Ro Khanna, who's a very senior member of the House Democrat Caucus, we're finding out the evidence has come out in the last few days about how his family, including toddlers in his family, his children are in their name, money's going into their stock accounts and things like that from Soros and other groups like that. I have a feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg. Not the tip of the iceberg of us figuring this out. We always known this is what it was, but the tip of the iceberg of evidence, actual hard evidence of this. Tim Wall is a guy who's visited China like 20 times. I live near the beach. I don't think I've been to the beach 20 times in the last few years, let alone China. You know, I wonder if you think that there's going to be more traction for this. I mean, yes, sure, some of them might be crazy, but you know what? I think they're crazy like a fox. They're getting paid to do this. And as long as they're in Democrat states or things like that, although Minnesota is a little, little bit purple, I guess they can get away with it. They can have their cake and get and eat it too. They can get this cash and they can also take these unpopular positions.
Emily Finn
Well, they've been getting away with it up until the point that we're talking about it on this program right now. But there does need to be justice, There needs to be accountability. And so I think that Minnesota needs to take a hard look at what's happening in their education systems and think, is this really helping our students or what? Can we be doing better moving forward?
Jake Novak
Yeah, I think, you know, basically hire a few forensic accountants. There's a guy named Sam Antar here in New York who does all the forensic accounting on Letitia James on his own time. It's proven all of her phony stuff going on. You need to get a team of Sam Antars to go after every member of Congress and every governor and mayor who's supporting these kinds of policies and find out, looking through all of their family's money to see if this is why they're doing this. Because the polls are very strong, including on this government shutdown, 65% plus blaming the Democrats don't like that they did this and, and they did it anyway. They can read polls. They might be insane, but they can read polls. And I don't think they're insane, actually. All right, Emily Finn, you're not insane. Thank you so much for joining us. We'll see you again in the 8 to 10am hour.
Emily Finn
Thank you, Jake.
Jake Novak
All right, let me be blunt. Gold is up around 40% this year at an all time high, basically. And that's not speculation, that's reality. And if a portion of your savings isn't diversified into gold, you're missing the boat. Here are the facts. Inflation is still too high, the US dollar is still too weak and the government debt is insurmountable. This is why central banks are flocking to gold. They're the ones driving prices up to record highs. But it's not too late to buy gold from Birch Gold Group and get in the door. Now Birchgold will help you convert an existing IRA or 401k into a tax sheltered IRA. In gold, you don't pay a dime out of pocket. Just take Text America to 98-98-98 and claim your free info kit. There's no obligation, just useful information. The best indicator of the future is the past. And gold has historically been a safe haven for millennia. What else can you say? Text America to 98-98-98 right now to claim your free info kit on gold. That's America to 98.98.98. Protect your future today with Birch Gold. Coming up, has Pfizer got a deal for you? A drug deal. And me, President Trump and the drug giant work out what Trump has always wanted. Getting the pharma world to charge Americans what they charge everyone else. More on that when American Sunrise Early Edition continues. Look at that control room filled. Filled with gen zers working today. There's no shutdown at Real America's Voice. All those federal workers getting to sleep in, they'll probably get paid for the sleeping in eventually. Not so here. Look at these young people working this morning. Let's take a look at where the market's gonna open. Oh, the market's gonna crash because of a government shutdown? No, they're gonna open lower. But nothing too bad. In fact, we had a nice rally yesterday and the day before. This is not so bad. But look at gold, Everybody. Look at that nine, $3,913 per ounce. That's an all time high. It is gonna be $4,000 an ounce. That's my crazy predict. No, it's not a crazy prediction. It's pretty safe prediction right now. But boy, will that be something when we hit 4,000 an ounce. But we're really close now. Let's take a look at bitcoin because bitcoin is also rallying. We're back at 116. That's a lot. That's some good traction for bitcoin. It'd been stuck at like 1 11, 112, even got to 109 at some point a few days ago. And it's been marching higher as well. Okay. President Trump accomplished a part of his mission to get prescription drug prices under control. Pfizer is now going to charge the US through Medicare and Medicaid and things like that, the same prices it charges its so called most favored nations. This is something President Trump and people like me have been talking about for a long time. It's the US Customer who basically makes all the profits for these drug companies. And it's about time they give us a break. They gotta find a way to make money charging us the same as the other developed countries in the world, not asking for the same prices they might charge some very, very poor country in some small part of the world. I get that. But they can't charge us 10 times more or a lot more than the Brit, than the British or the French, and that's what they've been doing. All right, so what about the other pharma giants? It's just Pfizer right now. That's what one reporter Asked President Trump. And here's what he said.
David Brody
I'm curious, where are the other companies other than Pfizer?
Jake Novak
Are you expecting them to go with us? And I was honored to have Albert be the first. He's done a fantastic job with, as.
David Brody
You know, with the COVID He did.
Jake Novak
A fantastic job with a lot of things. He's a leader. And Pfizer is right at the top. You know, it's there. Eli Lilly has been fantastic, also. Your friend, my friend. And they're all coming in over the next week. We're making deals with all of them. And I said, if we don't make a deal, then we're going to tariff them an extra 5, 6, 7, 8%, whatever the difference is, and we'll take it that way. Of course, there are other ways to get prices lower. Remember in fifth grade when you learned the law of supply and demand? If we can get the supplies up, if we can get the costs down for making the drugs in the first place, reduce the regulations that really stop people, not so much. We want people to have, you know, we want our drug factories to be safe and those drugs to be made safely. But just breaking ground on a new building, you got to go through all those environmental impact surveys and all that other problems. There's a lot of federal land in this country where President Trump can say, build housing, build a school, build a factory, and you won't have to go through all those regulations. I think we need to take a look at our essential industries like drugs and healthcare and figure out how to build hospitals and drug factories on federal land and. And cut the building costs dramatically. That's just one idea. I have supply and demand, though. That's how it works. Okay, so far, so good for the turnaround process at Nike, their CEO is actually their old CEO, Elliot Hill, came back to the job after a couple of years away. Exactly a year ago. Right. Right. In the beginning of October of 2024. Nike announced last evening that it beat its own estimates for profits in and sales in the April through June period. Now, perhaps more importantly, it really crushed those profit estimates. Sales numbers were up. But, you know, in an era of higher inflation and costs, when you can still make bigger profits, that makes. That's a bigger deal for Wall Street. And remember, investors in Nike were the biggest whiners. Among the biggest whiners, I'll say, when the tariffs went into place, because so many of Nike products are built in Vietnam and they were going to get tariffs, and they did get tariffs. Well, not so much. Nike Shares are up in the pre market on this news. Again, another example of how the tariffs have not hurt companies as much as they told us they were going to hurt. And of course that CEO at Nike is doing a pretty good job. All right, now yesterday you may remember I kind of shamed the now former CEO of rail giant csx. I talked about how John Hendricks left csx. He was kind of really pushed out and on the day that he left, the stock price shot up. That's really embarrassing. You know, you lose your job as CEO and investors are cheering it and actually putting more money into the stock. Well, we have the reverse of that. I want to give someone kudos for being a well liked and respected CEO. That was the CEO of the music streamer Spotify. He's also the founder. His name is Daniel Ek and he announced he's stepping down as of January and the stock went down by 4% on that news. So there you go. Good CEOs people are sorry to see you go. Bad CEOs people aren't sorry to see you go. Very simple math. Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines. Hey, this is moving America. Sponsored by artillery tee company artilleryteeco.com use promo code LIBERTY for 20% off your order. Artillery Tea is all natural whole leaf. The tea bags are chemical free and each tea bag can be used twice. Artillery Tea Company is family and veteran owned and operated and a portion of your purchase goes to help veteran and first responder charities. Artilleryteaco.com promo code LIBERTY for 20% off your order. Well, it turns out a lot of who's moving America aren't Americans at all. The state of Oklahoma released this picture of a New York issued driver's license, commercial driver's license given to an illegal immigrant with no full name on the license. Are you kidding me? New York State later admitted that this is real. This picture is real, this license is real. And apparently some illegals are getting licenses like this apparently to shield them from ICE arrest and deportation or they can cross check their names and things like that. I'm sure that they can figure it out at ICE in the end if they ever arrest some of these people. But why make it harder for them? Maybe some of them will get away. Oklahoma is saying it's going to refuse to honor this license. And so if you get pulled over with it, they're going to take you off the road. That's a good thing. This is absolutely crazy behavior by New York State. Imagine if you get hit, God forbid by one of these trucks. You think you're going to be able to collect insurance or have any kind of legal judgment against the driver or the company? Guess again. This is absolutely insane. As soon as they leave state the state border in a state that issues a license like this, it is a crime and I should be aware of it. I don't care what this does to the trucking industry. They cannot be allowed to continue operating this way anyway. That's a very important Moving America story and we're going to keep our eye on it. How are EV sales going in other countries besides America? That's a question right now because it's not that hot elsewhere either. But boy, it's really not so hot if you're a Toyota even in your home country of Japan. We just learned that for the entire month of August, Toyota only sold 1818 EVS in Japan. That's despite the fact that Toyota's overall sales all over the world were up. Toyota's been reading the writing on the wall about evs for a long time. You may remember a couple of years ago, they decided to go more into the hybrids. Not the plug in hybrid, just the regular hybrids, which by the way, make a lot more sense than the ev. We can talk about that another time. But boy, Toyota must be absolutely ashamed. Only 18 EVs sold in their home country. My goodness, you can only imagine what that, what they're talking about in their boardroom right now. Okay, now this is a little bit of a complicated story that I want to boil down and make very easy for you. But it's always fun to hear about family, really rich families having an inheritance battle, isn't it? So here's one that involves huge automakers. John Elkin is his name. He is the chairman of both Ferrari and Stellantis. Now that's thanks to the controlling interest in those companies given to him inherited from his grandfather. But now we have some intrigue. Elkman's estranged mother, his own mother, has presented the courts in Italy with a handwritten note from his late grandfather from 1998, supposedly saying that he wanted another relative to inherit all those shares in control of the country of those companies. All right, I'm going to settle this court case right now. Here's my, here's my way to fix this, John. You can give that loser company, Stellantis, to that other relative. He can have that and you get to keep Ferrari. I think I just solved it right there. That's how I would solve it. Okay, getting back to electric cars, there's an interesting move that Ford and GM are making here in the United States to virtually extend that federal tax credit if you buy an EV or if you get an EV. Now, remember that expired yesterday. The $7,500 tax credit that you get for buying an EV, gone. You don't buy it. You didn't buy it by yesterday. You don't get it. But Ford and GM did something interesting. They bought up in the last few days a bunch of their own electric vehicles from dealers. They bought them and now they're going to make them available to people who want to lease them and they're going to say they're going to pass on that $7,500 tax credit to them. So in other words, those companies will get the tax credit that puts cash in their accounts and they will pass them on in cheaper lease deals. Interesting way to try to extend it. We'll see if it works. I like when people make financial gymnastics and do cool stuff like that. I don't know if it's gonna work, but interesting thinking. Okay. Coming up, let's get an update on the situation in New York now that Eric Adams has dropped out. Is there hope to stop Zoran Mamdani from winning the mayor's office in this city? I'll talk to Republican strategists all about that when AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY EDITION comes right back. It's Wednesday, October 1st. Here are this morning's top stories. Shut down the Democrats once again block a stopgap spending bill and force the government to shut down just after midnight last night. They think simply opposing President Trump on everything will win them new supporters. But it could cost them the midterms and a whole lot more. Instead, the polls are not with them no more woke military Secretary of War Pete Hegseth delivers a blunt and very public speech to America's top military leaders and reminds the world that that the US Military is meant to be a lethal force, period. And he did it in public. That's called accountability. President Trump makes it clear to Hamas in case they didn't get the message, accept his peace plan. Surrender or be obliterated. Couldn't be more clear than that. And Andrew Cuomo says he's getting a shot in the arm from Eric Adams dropping out of the New York City mayor's race. But where's his energy? Where's his campaign? Where is he? America's SUNRISE EARLY EDITION continues now. Welcome back to this Wednesday here in AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY edition. I'm Jake Novak. Of course you're waking up. Of course you're getting ready to go to work today because you're not a federal worker or a Democrat who thinks you can just shut things down and take a free day off. That's not how it works. We'll see how many days this lasts, by the way. They might be shut down. We, we're open for business because you need to be informed about what's going on. And I thank you all for joining us, watching and commenting on all the platforms. Joining us now is New York City based GOP strategist Vanessa Simon. And Vanessa, before we get into the shutdown and the Zora Momdani stuff, I'd love for you to comment about that story. I just told the viewers. New York State issuing commercial driver's license to illegal aliens and not putting their names on the license to inhibit ice. Are you kidding me?
Vanessa Simon
No. This is insane. It's complete insanity, Jake. And this unfortunately or, or fortunately will be what gets Kathy Hochul out of office next year. We have Elise Stefanik running against her and I think it's going to give her one hell of a race because when we have absurdities and atrocities like this where, like you said, the full name isn't even on the license plate, the amount of funding that the federal funding as well that New York State is really putting into legals over New York State residents is really enough for New Yorkers to be upset and fed up with the regime in charge right now. I really hope this is a wake up call. This story should be blasted upon blast on every platform, just highlighting just how far off of center we are right now.
Jake Novak
Yeah. And Kathy Hochul, I want to see all your family's financials, including your children are. I want to know why you're doing this. Because it's probably money. And if we get all of your family's financials, including cousins, children, relatives, your roommate's neighbor, I want to know because that's probably what's going on here. Okay, Vanessa, the headline says, Andrew Cuomo is seizing the moment now that Eric Adams is out of the race. I see no evidence of that. By the way, this has been one of the most low energy campaigns he's been running. My theory all along has been that he's okay with losing so that a year from now or two years from now, he can say, hey, you should have had me. Look how bad New York City is. You could have had me. And then he'll run for an even higher office. That's my theory. Are you seeing any energy out of this guy? Cause I'm not.
Vanessa Simon
Most energy I saw shout out to the picture that's from Style across the aisle, the fashion show from New York Fashion Week. My good friend sky or Stryker. She was a creator. But I have to. All joking aside, that was the last time I saw energy out of Cuomo. Cuomo. It's done, you guys. I think it's time to usher in the reality that Mamdani is going to secure the victory he championed. The Boots on the Ground grassroots effort, when they have over a million dollars in PACs dedicated to Mandani and 100,000 volunteers, and you have Cuomo with a C suite mentality, he's not in the streets. He's nowhere to be found. It's not a Boots on the Ground. I saw many efforts trying to pump dollars into. You need to pump people into your campaign, and you have to have it as part of the equation. I am sorry to say that I do not see anybody in the race right now that could come even close to Madani, because he's got the recipe, even though it's absurd.
Jake Novak
Right?
Vanessa Simon
We're talking socialism, borderline communism. But at the end of the day, he's showing that he's a man of the people. He's in the mix. He's in the streets. All the videos, all time.
Jake Novak
The.
Vanessa Simon
Unfortunately, Cuomo doesn't give that, and you don't see him anywhere. So that is a sad reality here in New York City. But I will remind New Yorkers and those that have family members in the five boroughs. We have city council races. All 51 seats are up for election this November. You guys, it's not too late. They write the legislation, they do the budget. We only have 40. We have 45 Democrats, only six Republicans in the City Council. They wield more power than the mayor. That is our saving grace. So please, guys, tune in.
Jake Novak
Yeah, we'll see how that works out. But this is how confident Zohar Mamdani is of victory. He said just a couple of days ago that if elected, he will set aside $100 million more dollars to give legal aid to illegal aliens. It's just amazing. Of course, he's being paid off to say that, too. But I think he also probably actually believes that this is someone who's an enemy of our country pretending to be someone who wants to run for office. Sure, he wants to run for office, but also to undermine us. This is not exactly something. But you know what? You gotta blame people like Eric Adams for this. Eric Adams complained about the cost and the problems of the illegal immigrants all during his mayor. You know his term. But he never would agree to any kind of border security. He never said he was in favor of that. He still doesn't say that. So, honestly, this is the rabbit hole we went down, and now we're gonna get this.
Vanessa Simon
And that's the boldness that makes Mandani stand out. Like, he says what he says and stands by it. I mean, he flip flops every now and again, Adam. He couldn't really get him to land on anything. He constantly was, like, flip flopping and, you know, kind of retracting what he was saying and kind of tailoring. Like, people are wondering, is he a Republican, is he a Democrat? Even though he's obviously registered Democrat. But things that. It just didn't really paint a picture where people could really buy into Adams for a second term.
Jake Novak
Yeah. You know, look, New York's got its problems, but we have millions and millions of people pray for us. Millions of people. Yeah. There are millions of people who are better than Zohra Mohamdani, Eric Adams, Andrew Cuomo, and all the other losers. And they're too busy making a living and doing good things. I guess we really need to get a grassroots organization, not just a good campaign, but to get the people to run. All right, let's go over the bridge for a second to New Jersey for a second, where we've had a very, very interesting development in New Jersey. Now there, there's hope. I saw one poll that showed Jack Cittarelli ahead of Mikey Sherrill, the Democrat in the governor's race there. There's another poll that says she's up seven points, but basically it's a toss up and she's had a very, very bad few weeks. The latest scandal being, it turns out she used some of the very few nominations that members of Congress get for the service academies and gave them to her own twin children. And she thought she could get away with it because they used their father's last name and not hers. This is outrageous. Listen, I know that there are members of Congress who get their kids into the service academies. I know that's been done before. But two of them in the same year, when you only have about five slots and to do it yourself as opposed to asking another member of Congress to do it for you. So there's a little bit of hiding of it. This is incredible. It's the latest scandal. She's also involved in a cheating scandal. And when they asked her how she made $7 million since she's been in Congress, she said she wasn't sure. Imagine being so rich that you don't know how you got $7 million. I'll take that any day of the week.
Vanessa Simon
At this point, unfortunately, the writing's on the wall for her. And I know my good friend Scott Pressler over in Jersey is not letting up because he is pushing to make sure he's registering every single voter to make sure that we beat her and take her out. I think it's atrocious. I mean, nepotism is kind of what makes the world go round. And for her to try to just jump in, especially while running for a gubernatorial race, it puts a target on her back. And I think it was very unwise of her to do. She should own up to it and move on from there. But at this point, I really think the writing's on the wall for her because more and more keeps coming out.
Jake Novak
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how much they try to gin up that election with mail in ballots and other things like that, because I think if it's a. If it's a clean election or relatively clean election. I agree. I don't think she can win it now. He's got a couple more weeks for this momentum now. The only thing that Jack Chitter really needs to do is to get his name out there a little bit. Although you can win elections in America simply by getting people to vote against the other person. Finally, Vanessa, you know, we are in a government shutdown situation. I noticed that you got up this morning and you got up to work, so kudos to you. You're not taking the day off. That's because you're normal and you're not a federal worker. But, you know, I am concerned about one thing. All joking aside, New York's fingerprints are all over this shutdown. The Democrat leader in the Senate is Chuck Schumer, New York Senator. The Democrat leader in the House is Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. This really feels like a New York ginned up shutdown. And I'm feeling like the state's gonna. We're gonna get hit for this more than any other state, and probably rightfully so.
Vanessa Simon
I mean, you hit the nail on the head. And if we don't recognize what's happening, I mean, those that visit New York, like I said, we're hurting right now. And the fact that we have Memdani on the horizon, like New York is in bad shape, making bad decisions far too often. So you hit the nail on the head. I mean, unfortunately, our fingerprints are all over it. It's sad that so many workers are going to be furloughed because of this decision. You have those that are the frontline staff that will not. Will have to actually report to work regardless of the shutdown. The impact and the ramifications of what will come out of this is very. There's a detriment there that I feel Americans don't recognize just how much when people can't agree on bills and come to terms with just how packed with nonsense I think they look at the surfacey things, never really look under the hood to see what's going on. And then it's just chalked off as like, oh, the Republicans don't care about America. And it's just like, are you kidding me? Do you know what they're trying to propose? Do you understand the gravity of what's happening? I don't know, Jake. I'm starting to, like, feel crazy at this point. I think. I think we are better off, like, going off to Mars, because right now we're not making sense to anyone.
Jake Novak
Well, I mean, here's a message to all the people who are funding these politicians to take these very unpopular positions. Give us the money. You know, Give us the money and we'll make a good country out of it. And, you know, that's not what you want, though. That's the thing. That's why they won't give the people the money. They're giving the politicians the money. And we've seen this throughout history. This is how Athens fell. People got basically influenced the wrong way by the enemies of the state. And that's really what's going on here. It's not. I wish it were a joke, but it's not. Basically, this money is coming from people who wish us ill, not just. It's not just a difference of opinion about how to make America better that I'm fine with. I have that debate any day of the week. But the money is coming from people who want to see us fail and will profit from that failure. Vanessa Simon, thank you so much for joining us.
Vanessa Simon
And I'll end with this. We've got to wake up, people. We've got to tune in. We can't just tune in when things are going south. I thank you for your time, Jake. It's always a pleasure joining you guys.
Jake Novak
Thank you. And hopefully better next time we speak to you. Hopefully, there'll be better news. All right, coming up, the deal that President Trump is offering to Hamas. Basically, they'll get to live if they surrender. It's pretty good deal, actually. But there are people here in the United States. States pundits in the media especially who are saying, wait a minute, we don't want a world without Hamas. What? That's exactly what we need. David Brody and I will talk about that when American Sunrise early EDITION comes right back. That's a live shot of the White house in Washington, D.C. well, they're working at the White House today. The government shutdown isn't stopping them from showing up. The flags were raised. Another beautiful day in our nation's capital. We are in a government shutdown. Federal government has shut down. There's some things that will not be happening because of that shutdown, including, and I am so happy about this, tomorrow it looks like we're not going to get get the September jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Folks, if I went into all the details about how they get that data, you would laugh because it's such a joke. It's basically a voluntary survey. It could be the most inaccurate thing I've ever seen. But Wall Street's upset about it because they like to bet on the number. People think like, oh no, no. They really invest one way or the other based on what the jobs numbers tell them. No, they're just betting on a number. It's like a roulette table. So honestly, I will set up a roulette table right here tomorrow at 8:30am and we'll roll the dice and we'll see where it comes up and we'll spin the wheel. We'll see how that goes. Anyway, that's, that's one of the things that we're not going to get tomorrow. And I'm okay with that because that data is junk. Doesn't really tell us much. There's a much better, by the way, there's a much better report on how jobs are in America that comes out every month is from adp. Those are the people who make the payroll checks. I trust their numbers a lot more. It's also not completely accurate. It leaves out people who are self employed, all that kind of stuff. I get that. But still, it's pretty accurate. It's one of those things that I would much more base my investments on than the monthly reports from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It's honestly literally like a betting app for Wall Street. That's what the Bureau of Labor Statistics truly is. Whether they realize it or not, some of the people working, they're probably trying to get to the bottom of what the economy is really doing in America. But I'm not buying it. That's the way that goes. Having a little bit of technical Difficulties. I wanted to talk to David Brody about this, but I'll alert all of you about this. You can figure this out for yourself as I talk about it. And that is, of course, as you know, on Monday, President Trump unveiled his peace plan for Gaza, which basically says before anything else happens, Hamas has to lay down their arms, surrender, they'll be allowed to live somewhere else, especially the leadership. They'll be able to go somewhere and not be killed or imprisoned. And then we can start. And of course, they have to release all the hostages. And then we can start talking about other countries coming in there. Probably the Saudis, maybe even Tony Blair, the former British Prime Minister, who's no great shakes, but I guess he's better than a terrorist, can come in and administer the area and maybe they can start rebuilding it and maybe even making it a nice place to live. All those things are possible. Geographically, Gaza has a lot going for it. It's actually quite beautiful, a lot of it from a geographic point of view, the beach and things like that on the Mediterranean. But believe it or not, there are people here in the United States, people like Mehdi Hasan, the former MSNBC host who's on the Qatari payroll, and people like that who are saying, no, no, no, wait a minute, we don't want a world without Hamas. And of course, that gives away the game. They haven't been anti Israel or anti or pro Palestinian. They've been literally pro Hamas. And now that the rubber is hit, the road, either Hamas exists or it doesn't, and then we can have a beautiful life after that. They've decided, no, we can't have a world without Hamas. David Brody joins us now. That's really what it's been all along. They are Hamas supporters and they want this entity to continue to exist. Incredible.
David Brody
That's right. It's river to the sea mentality. It's always been that that is what Israel has been up against and that won't change. And look, I mean, you know the figures, Jake, the Palestinians in Gaza, or the Gazans, if you will, what was it, 65, 70%? I think that might be a low number. Who supported Hamas all these years, since 20 2007.
Jake Novak
But.
David Brody
But I think there's something even bigger going on here with this Gaza plan. Now, what you're seeing is that they want to, in essence, to a degree, neuter the Palestinian Authority as well. In other words, look, we're not having the Palestinian Authority come into Gaza from the west bank, come into Gaza and run that, unless you're totally, you know, you revamp if you will, which let's be honest, they're not going to revamp even though they might try to do it from a smoke and mirror standpoint. So I think the, the pro Hamas lovers understand that it's more about it's not just about Hamas. It's about the Palestinian Authority. It's about the fact that this tide is turning and they've got to stop it at any cost.
Jake Novak
Yeah. And it's interesting they're not rallying for the Palestinian Authority. It's so obvious that this is a pro Haas group of people here in this country. It's not like saying, oh no, we need those other guys. They're crying that Hamas is going to go away. That is so telling. Also they're being paid off to do that too. All right, American Sunrise early edition. We'll be back tomorrow with I'll be back on Friday and I'll see you in the 9aM hour today.

This episode offers a rapid-fire, unapologetically opinionated take on major political, economic, and cultural stories. The hosts and panel consistently link the current government shutdown and controversial policies to special-interest money and a disregard for public opinion, painting both parties—but especially Democrats—as corrupted by external and foreign interests. The episode also heavily critiques “wokeness” in military and educational policy, frames recent legislative and regulatory changes as driven by elite self-interest, and ends with warnings that ongoing corruption undermines American democracy and values.
If you’re looking to understand the Real America’s Voice perspective on current events—and the narratives driving populist, anti-establishment commentary—this episode delivers exactly that.
