Ahead of American Sunrise Early Edition. Oh, it was just a little meeting between the leaders of the two most powerful military, political and economic powers in the world.
Walter Kurt
Big deal.
Jake Novak
This morning in Seoul, President Trump and President Xi sat down, they discussed and made deals on trade, tech and maybe even drugs. And the whole world is indeed watching. Back here in the US The Schumer Jeffries shutdown continues. But now that the food stamp or SNAP assistance programs are set to end at the end of the week, Chucky Schumer wants Congress to vote on an entirely separate bill to keep that food aid going. Or he could just allow his fellow Democrats to end the shutdown. It's your choice, Chuck. Now to New York, where maybe it's not a done deal in the mayor's race after all. It's, it could be that those strong betting odds in favor of Zoran Mamdani are the result of America's enemies putting up big money into the poly market trading market. This is a scandal. Jay Powell and the Fed do decide to cut interest rates, but Powell plays control freak again by saying he's not so sure another rate cut is coming in December. He's sending us mixed signals, folks. So how do we get out of this abusive relationship with this man? And not so sweet. Hurricane Melissa has killed 20 people in Haiti, at least five in Jamaica, and the numbers could get worse. The Bahamas are next, but at least the storm has weakened considerably. American Sunrise Early Edition begins now.

Jake Novak
We will be letting the public know regularly what we have found. American Sunrise Early Edition with your host, Jake Novak starts now. Welcome to American Sunrise Early Edition. It's already Thursday. I don't know. This has been a fast week for me. I, I, I assume someone's having a slow week, but it really seems to me, and I'm very much grateful for that also. Look, we're taking a, we're putting a keen eye still on Hurricane Melissa. Last time I checked, it's still a Category 1 storm, but as you know, it slammed Haiti, it slammed Jamaica the other day. Definitely some death and destruction to talk about. And you can bet, and this is a part of American aid overseas that I don't mind, you can bet that there'll be American crews and crews from some other countries helping in the recovery efforts. From those devastating storms. And that's fine by me. This is a natural disaster, after all, not a political one. Joining us now to talk about all the other big news today because there is a lot retired U.S. air Force Lt. Col. Larry Brock. He's also a candidate for the Texas State House and the host of the Reckoning on X Spaces. And in his spare time, he's building several bar. No, I'm just kidding. He's very busy man. Colonel, we had this, we had this summit between President Trump and President Xi, and the headlines are all about the economic stuff. And I'll talk about that when we do our, Our Money sections of the show, and I'll talk a little bit about it in other parts as well. But still, this is a meeting of the two biggest military powers in the world as well. Russia certainly punches way above its weight. But China now, of course, I think is more significantly powerful in that area. So I have to ask you, what are your lingering concerns about China from a military standpoint, coming from your background?
Lt. Col. Larry Brock
Well, it was very interesting that right before the summit, President Trump announced that we would once again begin nuclear testing. Now, I don't know if this was, you know, to kind of escalate the tension, but China is our one and only real military rival. That being said, it was notable in all of the topics that Taiwan was just kind of pushed to the side. I did see that President Trump asked Premier Xi for help in the Ukraine. Now, I don't believe that, you know, they will give him what he wants, which is to stop importing Russian oil because they need it for their economy. But I think you're seeing, you know, an acknowledgment that Russia is the junior partner, if you will, in the BRICS alliance to China. I mean, we all think that, but we've never really seen it put on the world stage like that. And so I'm curious how Putin is going to respond.
Jake Novak
Yeah, I mean, it's one of those things where China, if there's something bad going on in the world, militarily, China's involved, just completely China. And it used to be that way with Russia and before that, the Soviet Union. I still think it's very much that way with Russia, but not as much now as China. And you can make all these deals. And I think that President Trump probably, when he sat down with President Xi this morning, maybe thought to himself, hey, maybe this is the guy who, who's stopping us from having a deal between Ukraine and Russia. Maybe this is the guy who made it really Difficult to make a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas because China very much believes that sowing military, military mayhem all over the world is to its benefit. And until we get to a point, again, we need to reopen our playbook from the Cold War and figure out some of the things the Soviet Union did and see if we can. We can match that and stop that some way. Well, we have a very hot war raging right here in the United States right now. Colonel Brock, you know, the shutdown debate is always a little bit of a snoozer for some people because it's hard to pinpoint exactly where this makes a major impact. But that is no longer the case. Now, we know that ground zero in this shutdown battle is over the SNAP or the food stamp program. And something really interesting happened yesterday. Chuck Schumer realizing that the shutdown gambit of his is failing, and he doesn't want 40 million Americans to be coming to his door and demanding their food stamps. He wants Congress to vote separately on a separate bill just for the food stamp bill. Hey, Chuck, how about you just get four or five of your fellow Democrats to vote to end the shutdown? But he won't do that. This is an incredible, incredible temper tantrum and a lack of decency from the man. But this is causing another problem. And I want you to watch this video, short video. Here's a video of an Iraqi refugee, supposed refugee here in this country. A new immigrant. I don't know if he's fully legal or illegal, telling the government how much he needs those food stamps. Check this out. Without the government support, I cannot stay maybe a month or two months. Pima County Chairman Rex Scott told News for Tucson he's deeply concerned about the impact on local refugees. I mean, how many millions of aliens in this country, whether legal or illegal, are only here because of the welfare program that was not meant for them. It was meant for poor and struggling American citizens. And how much less money, by the way, do you think our veterans who need help are getting? Because so much is going to people like this. That video is having a backfiring effect. I certainly don't wish ill on that man. But honestly, why are we putting so many of our billions of dollars into people coming into this country who can't eat unless they get food stamp aid from our country? That's. That's really not what that program was meant for, sir.
Lt. Col. Larry Brock
No, you're absolutely right, Jake. I mean, we've seen the food stamp, the snapback, basically double since 2008, and then 50% over 50% of the immigrants that come into this country rely on it. You know, to me, that is a great argument for deportation to accelerate. You know, it's. It is a shame, though. And, you know, I've always kept in mind one of Lenin's precepts, which is that a revolution is only four missed meals away. So it is concerning to me that one out of eight Americans might be relying on this. And, you know, I've emphasized on my show that we need to make sure that our local churches and other organizations we trust are stocked with food for the people that really do need it. Now, in terms of the blame, I think you're absolutely right. It is completely backfired on the Democrats. This is the. The Schumer shutdown. The Democrats are deliberately doing this. There have been over 13 votes to open the government, and the Senate Democrats just won't let it through. I think we should tell them honestly to the military term is to pound sand for their. Their separate bill that they're requesting. Under no circumstances should we give them that.
Jake Novak
Yeah, all right, let's move to your state right now. The state. Great state of Texas, Colonel. Everyone's favorite Bush loyalist. Okay. Nobody likes him. Karl Rove is trying to scare Texas conservatives who support Ken Paxton for the Senate. And he's saying that if Paxton wins the primary against John Cornyn, which he. He's favored to do, it's a year away, but he's still favored to do it, that, oh, they're going to lose the Senate seat. I mean, this is. Talk about election suppression. He's trying to stop conservatives for voting for the person that they want. Do you think this will work?
Lt. Col. Larry Brock
No, sir, I don't. I think all of the ads that John Cornyn have put out and a lot of his election staff is Karl Rove or our Karl Rove disciples, they haven't really moved the needle at all. The only thing that moved the needle was Wesley Hunt getting into the race. And even then, Attorney General Paxton still has a clear advantage. He is the choice for conservative America First Texans. He has stood with President Trump throughout thick and thin, and John Cornyn has not. So as many ads as Cornyn puts out saying that he's the Trump approved candidate, he's just simply not as far as Karl Rove. We're seeing the end of the Bush dynasty as soon as Cornyn is gone. Really? There are no politicians beholden to the old Bush Rove axis in Texas politics?
Jake Novak
Yeah. I mean, he's become a nonentity. The former president of the United States still, from, from what I understand, and in reasonably good health, he might as well not be around at all. Just as he's completely exited the stage and whatever. He certainly hasn't learned his lesson. Finally. Colonel, I can't let you go without asking about this. This is probably the first national program that's even looking at this incredible story coming out of Texas. So most of you haven't heard this story. It involves a legendary high school football coaching family in North Texas that's now been ensnared in a child poor in a child abuse scandal. I call it a child sex abuse scandal. Tell us about this. I think that you attended some kind of meeting about this. This is a heck of a story.
Lt. Col. Larry Brock
Yes, sir. Yesterday I went to Representative Mitch Little's press conference. Representative Little passed a bill this past session that ended sovereignty, I'm sorry, sovereign immunity for the school district so that you can actually sue them. Now. Now what was going on inside Texas is they're basically moving teachers that have allegations against them from school to school. And so although criminal charges could be proffered against the individual teacher that was abusing children, school districts were covering them up and, and moving it. So in this case, we have a nine time state champion football coach, which is a big deal in Texas. His son was moved from the high school to the junior high. And you know, he was moved because he placed a camera inside a boy's locker room and then he was later found to have pornographic material involving minors on his computer. So what we're basically seeing is the school district appears to have covered it up. Representative Little's bill will allow the parents of children that were abused to actually sue the school. So you're gonna start to see institutional accountability which was the purpose of the law. One more thing, Jake, and then I'll, I'll, I'll. I spoke with a State Board of Education member and he said that this scandal is endemic inside the state of Texas. He said There is a 7,000 strong backlog of investigations that need to occur into Texas teachers for either physical or sexual abuse. We've really got to get a handle on this. And I'll be working hopefully with Representative Little and other great conservatives to do something about this scandal.
Jake Novak
Yeah, well, when you see politicians in Texas challenging a dynastic Texas high school champion football coach. Nine. I mean, that's incredible. That shows that, you know, all the talk about covering for your own, it's not true. That's excellent, excellent work by some of these politicians. They don't say that sentence very often in America, but to try to get to the bottom of this and really that's a sacred cow in Texas. And that means that both some heinous crimes were committed and, and also some people are finally stepping up. So again, you're the first to hear about those of you watching, you're the first to hear about this story and hopefully this will have a good ending as much as you can after the horrible things that have happened. Colonel Larry Brock, thank you so much for joining us. I'm giving you an extra head start on the weekend. Have a great weekend. Thank you.
Lt. Col. Larry Brock
You as well, Jake. God bless you.
Jake Novak

Someone is putting big money into the political betting markets and it looks like they're doing it to discourage anyone who may want to get out the vote. For anyone other than Zoran Mamdani in New York, this is fishy. American Sunrise Early Edition will be right back. It's a live look at Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Welcome back to American Sunrise Early Edition on this third Thursday special special. Welcome. To those of you watching and commenting on the Getter Rumble Substack X platforms love to hear your voices. Hey, I have a question. Could there be a massive dark money conspiracy to interfere in the New York City mayor's race? I really think there is. Emily Finn joins us right now. The New York Post looked into these Massive bets into Zoran Mamdani winning the election. Now, these bets don't come with a big reward, Emily. If they win, they're only going to get pennies on the dollar. And, and I was just thinking about this scenario, Emily. Let's say you got a million dollars you want to spend, you're an enemy of the United States and you want to see the bad guys win an election. You could donate that million dollars to a pac, maybe try to get around campaign financing laws and somehow get it into the hands of the candidate. Or you can put a million dollars into the poly market and have everyone look at it every day and say, gee, my guy can't win. I might as well not bother knocking on doors or calling my friends. I think that the last scenario, Emily, is the best bang for your buck.
Emily Finn
It certainly is an interesting strategy, Jake. And the bad actors that we're looking at here, China specifically, come on. Of course, you can't put that past them. They influence in every part of American society already as it is. So what is there to say that they're not going to try to influence our elections through betting like this, too? I mean, I totally get sports betting. The outcome of a game really doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if it's the Lions or the Bears that end up pulling out the W in the end. But when you're talking about politics, when you're talking about elections, it is so consequential. And I just don't think that Polymarket, Kalshia, all of these different betting markets that are opening it up to elections, I see that there is a lot of potential for something to go wrong here.
Jake Novak
Now, you've got millions of people now in Detroit and Chicago angry at you, Emily, for saying it doesn't matter whether the Lions or the Bears win.
Emily Finn
That's producer Pierce is going to be mad at me, too.
Jake Novak
Yeah, I know. We're going to need bodyguards. All right, Emily, going to see you again in the next in the 8 to 10am hours. Thank you so much for joining us.
Emily Finn
Thanks, Jake.
Jake Novak
All right, now for my interview that my viewers and the entire TV news industry has been waiting to see if I can pull off. So everyone hold your breath. If you've been watching this program for a while, you know that every week I tell you about Purion skin care products. And you probably also know that I'm not exactly the biggest expert on the topic, especially the hair products. Can you guess why? Anyway, good news. I'm bringing in a ringer. Joining us now is Skincare expert Kristin Malia. Kristen, you have traveled the world. You've worked with Hollywood A listers and some of the leaders in this industry. So finally I have someone who can explain this who knows what you're talking about. Tell us about periods real quick.
Kristin Malia
Well, thank you so much for having me, Jake. It's great to be here. So Parents is one of my favorite skincare finds. Recently. Pierance is an organic skincare company turning heads in Elle and LA Weekly. To date, they've helped more than 60,000 women fall in love with their skin, complexion. And Purance delivers clean, organic beauty, which has no harsh preservatives, which I totally love.
Jake Novak
Kristen. I have daughters and they're young women. One is 22, one's almost 18. So I know that women these days, this is how I know these things. I know that women don't like the synthetic chemicals and the harsh preservatives. Even my young daughters, anything they put on their body, you know, they want it to be natural. So tell us about some of the natural products that have caught your eye.
Kristin Malia
Yeah, well, what's great is that natural products can deliver results as well. And appearance is absolutely on the top tier when it comes to that. One of my favorites is the Cellular Restore Serum, which contains bakuchiol. This is a natural alternative to retinol. In a small focus group, about 93% of women saw fewer lines and wrinkles in just three weeks with using the Cellular hydration serum. Okay, then there's the cellular or, sorry, with the cellular Hyd contains Tremella mushrooms. Now this is important because Tremella mushrooms penetrates the deepest layers of the skin to hydrate. It is essentially a great moisturizer. Then there is the Lift and Glow organic eye cream. Now, if you want to reduce the appearance of dark spots under the eyes and restore a radiant complexion, you will love the Lift and glow. And then last but not least, in one of my all time favorites is the Even Glow Serum. This contains Kakadu Plum. Now, Kakadu plum has 100 times more vitamin C than oranges. So Even Glow is for you if you want to reduce the appearance of, you know, all those dark spots and hyperpigmentation.
Jake Novak
That's good stuff. Well, listen, some of us have more skin to cover than others. I have a lot of skin at the top of my head. So that's, you know, I'm going to need, you know, I'm going to need a lot of it. Kristen, finally, can you tell us about the special offer that you have for the viewers? Right Now?
Kristin Malia
Yeah, absolutely. For a limited time we have 35% off all parents products. All you have to do to get the discount is go to parance.com, enter the coupon code early. She's out there, a big Dodgers fan out in la. So you know these products work because you have the proof right there. I think she got maybe like five minutes of sleep. So I appreciate it so much you getting up early and telling us about hearings. Thank you so much. We'll see you soon. I think you'll come back again.
Kristin Malia
Thanks for having me.
Jake Novak
Okay. Coming up. Oh, what a surprise. GM is making some changes to its EV production. Can you guess which way it's going? Have you been paying attention? American Sunrise early edition. We'll be right back. We call this the flamingo cam. These are real flamingos this morning here in Miami. While they're in Miami, Florida looks like they're getting a little bit of wind, a little bit as well. I don't think they're going to get too much of an effect from the hurricane further to their south. But beautiful shot there. Not a lot of nature that you see in most parts of the country, but you see it there. Hey, let's take a look at where the markets will begin today. You know you had the Fed cutting rates yesterday. So the markets were up waiting for that rate cut. But then Jay Powell, the chairman of the Fed said I'm not so sure I'm going to cut them in December as well. So the markets tempered things off. You see a lot of red here. But these aren't exactly big moves down. I mean you don't even have a more than a 0.3% drop on the Dow. You don't even have that. So. And we've been up, up, up and breaking all time records every day. I don't think that we're going to have too much of a downside at least when we get started. Gold is down back below the 4,000 per ounce level but not too bad. And look at crude oil. Got a five handle there. Down below 60 bucks a barrel. Now let's take a look quickly at bitcoin because bitcoin was also down, down at 109, but almost at 110 we're really kind of in good places with all these numbers overall. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, start your engines. This is Moving America. Sponsored by artillery t company artilleryteaco.com use promo code LIBERTY for 20% off your order. ArtilleryTea is all natural whole leaf. The tea bags are chemical free and each tea bag can be used twice. Artillery Tea Company is family and veteran owned and operated and a portion of your purchase goes to help veteran and first responder charities. Artilleryteeco.com promo code Liberty for 20% off your order. General Motors has laid off roughly 1700 workers at manufacturing sites in Michigan and Ohio. They did that yesterday, citing a slowdown in the electric vehicle market. Shocker. Now I'm just going to break down the layoffs a little bit. 1200 of the layoffs are at Detroit's electric vehicle plant and 550 cuts are at Ohio's ultium cells battery cell plant. Look, I'm not looking to dunk on these poor workers. I don't want people to get laid off. But yeah, I'm ticked off at GM management. They overextended themselves in the EV market for political reasons. There was no market reason to extend themselves as much as they did. And they could have stood up to the Biden team a few years ago and said, hey, we'll make a few more electric cars, but we're not going to hire a ton of people. Put a lot of people who are only going to have to lay off later could really be devastating for them. Instead, they just went with that political movement, knowing full well that the electric vehicle market in this country organically, that without the government pushing it will never exceed 10% of the market. Listen, 10% of the US car and truck market is pretty good. They should feel proud of themselves. But expecting half of the American people or more to buy EVs is a crazy mistake. It makes no economic sense. And now there are 1700 workers at GM out of a job because those things were trying to be shoved down the throats of the market. And that is why I'm upset. All right, I know all the attention today is on the Trump XI summit, but don't forget there was a meeting before that between President Trump and South Korean President Lee Jean Young yesterday, and it was productive. The US And South Korea agreed to cutting tariffs on automobiles and auto parts to 15% from 25%. I know you're saying, oh, that's a 10% difference. No, it's almost a 40% difference. Remember, it's going from 15% and it's 10 percentage points. But 25% to 15% is a big deal. Okay. Now, in exchange for the reduced tariffs, South Korea will invest $350 billion in the United States. That's going to be $200 billion in cash investments and $150 billion in shipbuilding cooperation. This is what we mean when we say 4D chess is being played here. There is never a deal between two countries, especially two countries that large. But even two entities where other aspects of the relationship can't be brought into the discussion. You want me to buy a car? Well, I can't afford the car. Oh. But I'll give you a break on gas prices or something like that. You get the point. There are other things that can go into an economic bargain that doesn't just have to be the things that are written on that piece of paper. President Trump brings in other parts of a deal that can make a bigger deal out of everything. And that is what we don't get from politicians. Only business people can do that or know how to do that. Now, for those of us who like bargains, the fickle nature of many rich people is our best friend. And you know, I like to be your friend on this program and tell you about where you can get some bargains. So I wanted to tell you which of the luxury car buying cars that are bought is the most likely to be traded in within one year? You're looking at it. That is the Porsche. And this is the. It's a Porsche suv. It's. It's the Porsche Macan. M a C a N. That's how you spell it. 22.2% of Porsche Mackens are traded in within the first year of the purchase. I don't know. I guess rich people suddenly don't like them after a while. Now you get a big, big discount when you buy a used car, even if it's only been for a few months. So if you're interested in getting a luxury car that makes you look like a hit, take a look at Porsche Mac because they are very likely to be traded in. There you go. I'm trying to make you look good people. Hey, yesterday I told you just how much money car dealerships have been making in this country lately. And you know where there's an influx of big money, there's going to be theft. That's just the way of things, including employee theft. I want you to check out this now viral video of a bust at a dealership in progress. Check it out. Navarro, the Leesburg Police Department. Officer Gusinski, do you have Any idea why we're here?
Walter Kurt
No. No.
Jake Novak
Okay. Do you know there's cameras in here? Yes. Yeah. Everywhere where you're sitting?
Walter Kurt
Yes.
Lt. Col. Larry Brock
Where you work?
Jake Novak
I know everywhere. Okay, so you have nothing to say. All right, so get up, put your hand. My hair back. For what? I'm not gonna ask again. Mom, what's your phone number? They talking about?
Walter Kurt
Put my hand.
Jake Novak
I'll call you right back. Yes, mama. What's your phone number? I need to know your phone number.
Walter Kurt
I don't know.
Jake Novak
You're gonna be able to get your phone in a second.
Walter Kurt
Okay.
Jake Novak
He said I'll be able to get my phone in a second. Yeah. This was a Nissan dealership in Leesburg, Virginia, where the woman working there was putting counterpit bills, counterfeit bills into the till, into the cash register and taking out the real money and was caught all on camera. It's a very viral video. People have seen it all over the country now you've seen it. Look, there's a lot of money going. And we talked about why. It's not necessarily people coming in and dumping loads of cash to buy a new Nissan. They're coming in and they're bringing in their models to be serviced. And what used to be $30 at Jiffy Lube is now $500 because they find some other thing that they need to. You know, my whole. The whole story. You know how this works. And there's a lot of cash moving in and out. Here's a hot tip, though, for those dealers and for anyone who's looking at bills. Ben Franklin doesn't have a mustache, and Ulysses Grant didn't have a neck tattoo. So if you're looking at bills that have pictures like that, they're fake. Okay, I'm just kidding. But still, that's what's going on here. Whenever. Listen, this has got nothing to do with any state or any even industry. This is just a rule you need to follow. Whenever there's a massive amount of cash coming into a business, some of it is going to be stolen or attempted to be stolen. That's just the nature of things, by the way. That includes elections. Anything of value people will try to steal. Coming up, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries started this shutdown. And Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries continue this shutdown. But now Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries want the rest of Congress to bail them out before they get blamed for millions of people going hungry. Nice try. And election day is just five days away. We're going to take a closer look at the contest in Virginia where every race is tight. American Sunrise Early Edition. We'll be right back. It's Thursday, October 30th. Here are this morning's top stories. Oh, it was just a little meeting between the leaders of the two most powerful military, political and economic powers in the world. Actually, it wasn't a little meeting. It was a big meeting. President Trump and President Xi of China sat down. They discussed trade tech, drugs, and the whole world is indeed watching. Back here in the US The Schumer Jeffries shutdown continues. But now that food stamp or SNAP assistance is set to end at the end of the week, Schumer wants Congress to to vote on an entirely separate bill to keep that food aid going. Or, you know, he could just allow his fellow Democrats to end the shutdown. How about it, Chuck? Now let's go to New York where maybe it's not a done deal in the mayor's race after all. It could be that those strong betting odds in favor of Zoram Mandani winning are the result of America's enemies putting up big money into the poly market trading market. This is fishy and not so sweet. Hurricane Melissa has killed at least 20 people in Haiti, five people in Jamaica, and the numbers are likely to get worse. Unfortunately, the Bahamas are next, but at least the storm has considerably weakened. American Sunrise EARLY EDITION continues now. Welcome back to AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY edition. It is a Thursday. Thank you so much for watching. Thank you so much for commenting on all the platforms where you can do both to watch this program and all the programs on Real America's Voice. Of course, Getter is a big one. Rumble is another. You can also do this on X. Thank you, Elon Musk. You can also do this on Substack. You can also watch on Firestick. I mean, I'm giving you all these options so that the next time you're on the road and you don't get to use your usual platform, you can use it. And again, the very unique aspect of this program and the others is the anchor people, the people like me are actually looking at your comments. I'm looking at them right now. And you better believe I learn something from them all the time. Joining us right now is investigative journalist Walter Kurt. He is the guy behind the WC Dispatch on Substack. Walter, I want to talk about this bailout first because that Chuck Schumer wants because as I was saying at the top of the hour, government shutdowns can sometimes be hard to get everyone excited about because they're very amorphous. Like, what do you mean, shut down? I don't get it. But people understand this. Food stamps or the SNAP program is about to be frozen, and that's millions of Americans. And we had the debate in the first hour about how there's too many Americans on this program or too many non Americans, I should say, noncitizens, who are here and immediately start going on this program. We can have that debate. And we have. But, hey, if this is going to be so painful, Chuck wants a bailout. He wants Congress to separately not on the shutdown. He wants them to separately vote to keep that going. I mean, this is a guy who has made a mess and is demanding that other people clean it up for him. This is incredibly, incredibly infuriating.
Walter Kurt
It really is. Watching Schumer flail about on this. You know, he has completely failed to challenge his own party, and that's the only reason this is even happening in the first place, is because he's worried AOC is going to challenge him in a primary, which Schumer. It doesn't matter. She's going to do it anyway. Okay? You're going to lose your job anyway. You know, Joel and Eileen Bailey aren't going to save you, your imaginary friends. It doesn't matter. Okay? This new idea, this SNAP bailout, they're just realizing that there's going to be major consequences. What are you guys doing? Just reopen the government and all of this stuff would go away. It doesn't make any sense. But he knows that this is going to be a major thing that's used against him, and he is a coward and won't even stand up against his own party. Yeah.
Jake Novak
You know, there's actually, like, ancient laws that remind me of this. The laws of the people who, like, walk into their neighbor's yard and get gored by their ox, and then they sue the neighbor. I mean, you know, he's made this decision to go into a dangerous place by shutting down the government, and now he wants us to pay up for the mess that he's made. I know that they have friends in the mainstream media that are gonna absolutely try to run cover for this guy, but please, please help your fellow Americans. Everybody cut through the BS on this. This is Chuck Schumer's doing. If anyone's gonna go hungry this week, it's gonna be because of him. And that is an objective fact. They have voted 13 times to keep the shutdown going. You don't have to love or hate President Trump to understand that, but apparently our colleagues in the mainstream media can't do it. Walter, I wanna get your thoughts on something else here. This is a story that I think many Americans need to see about how the betting markets on the elections. Now, first of all, you have the mainstream media talking about the betting odds. They didn't used to do that. The reason why they're doing that is because they're being prompted by the same people who I think have put in major bets on candidates who shouldn't win elections because they're not qualified. Zoran Mamdani being example number one. Now, the New York Post did some checking and it looks like Chinese money is what's betting on Zoram Ondani. And we should make this clear, Walter. If Zoram Mandani wins and these million dollar bets, they're only going to get pennies on the dollar for it. This is not someone who's trying to make a big bet and make money and maybe they're a compulsive gambler. This is an attempt, and I think a successful one, unfortunately at voter suppression, to get the news media to say Zoramdani's got a 95% chance to win. According to the betting markets. Yeah, the betting markets with people who are manipulating them. This, I think, is a national story, Walter.
Walter Kurt
I would argue that it is a national story because now it's interesting that you said that there is a check from the New York Post there saying Chinese money, because we know that in Virginia that Abigail Spanberger has also taken Chinese money. And the interesting thing about that, if you go look at all these elections, if you look at the poly market odds on some of these things here, the poly market odds for both Mamdami and for Abigail Spanberger, both, if you go look at them, they have the same thing. How much is the margin of victory gonna be? And it's. They have a whole betting market on what's the margin of victory is gonna be for both of these people. And it's very, very similar set of polls. So that's, that's very interesting that it's Chinese money. I hadn't heard that yet. That actually makes a lot of sense because if you go look at them, they're just not realistic in the first place. None of them are. I mean, you can't have a, a race somewhere where even if you say the polls are, you know, the polls in Virginia are only. Even the worst of them are saying they're only eight points off or something like that. So if they're that close why are you saying it's a 97% chance that she's going to win or mom dummy is going to win? Same sort of concept. Like that's just not realistic and everybody knows it's not realistic. So the idea that they're just pushing those numbers down, that makes a lot more sense to me. And I'll tell you right now, I had kind of predicted this from the beginning. I'm not going to be surprised is if the day of the election, all that money evaporates and it goes back to a simple, very midline. I wouldn't be surprised at all.
Jake Novak
Yeah, yeah, they might cash out and save some of their money. That's one thing. Even though they might have an infinite amount of money to bet because it's coming from a foreign actor like Qatar or China or something like that, they're still going to get greedy at the end of the day and bail out of the bet on the day before the election. I wouldn't be surprised. I agree with you on that. I think. I wouldn't be surprised. Okay, from the betting markets to another form of conservative voter suppression, the polls. You just mentioned these polls. You said that there's one poll that has eight points Spanberger ahead of winsome series, but most of the other polls are closer than that. And that's another form of voter. That's the old school voter suppression where they work with a pollster that they know is going to massage the numbers in a certain way to. Again, this is about discouraging conservatives and Republicans more broadly from, okay, maybe you're not going to stop them from voting, but you'll stop somebody like me maybe from knocking on the doors of some of my neighbors and telling them, hey, they need to get. Because I'm thinking, well, they're probably not voting for this guy anyway or this woman anyway. That's what this is about. And that's the old school way of doing it. But you say that some of the other polls have it too close for that to work.
Walter Kurt
Oh, yeah. I mean, listen, the only poll I paid attention to when it came to this is you. You could actually watch the polls in Virginia. So I've been very active in Virginia and on the show as we've been very active in Virginia throughout this past summer. And you can watch the momentum. So it started at, you know, in June or so spanberger was up 12, and then another couple polls came out after some big hits came out against Spanberger. Then it was seven and then it was four and then it was two. Like this whole idea that there's a Trafalgar poll that has her within two points wins them within two points. And that was October 18th. And then there's another poll that gets published like 24 hours later and Spanberger's up 12. Trafalgar isn't gonna be off by 10 points. Okay? Like that doesn't happen. Okay. They're a much better polling company than that and everybody knows that. But they're just trying to do anything. They're desperate to keep that real clear Politics polling average down and that's so they can keep donors out of the race. That's what they wanna do. Now, fortunately for Winsome, that didn't really, it didn't matter at the end of this because people got to see her at the debate stage and she crushed Abigail Spanberger. And as a result of that, now you're actually watching the Democrat Party in full panic mode. I mean, I've never seen anything like this, Jake. This is full panic by the Democrats. They've got Obama, they've got Buttigieg, they've got Jasmine Crockett, they've got every top line Democrat you can think of on the ground in Virginia trying to get the numbers out for Abigail Spanberger, let alone the fact that they called a special session to get Winsome Sears off the campaign trail. You know, if they had to do all of that, do you really think that they're up 10 points? No one believes that. No one believes that. I think they're in a panic and a tailspin in Virginia.
Jake Novak
Yeah. And the thing that you said that's so important is that they quickly come out with these polls. As soon as a poll comes out that shows it's close, suddenly just by coincidence, they've got another poll out that shows that there's a large, there's a large swath between the candidates. This is just so phony. And you would think that after the 2016 election where President Trump won and proved all those polls Wrong, including the 12 points, reminds me of the ABC News poll, I think, the Sunday before election day in 2016 that had Hillary Clinton up 12 points. It's just amazing. You would think that they would have learned that, hey, the American people aren't buying this anymore. I do think the American people are paying less attention to polls than they used to. So that is true. But they're still paying too much attention to them. Honestly. You look at someone like Abigail Spamberger and you look at the state of Virginia and they don't match, period. This is just not what Virginia politics has produced over the last 70 years or the 54 years of my life. Finally, Walter, let's stay in Virginia here just for a second because I want you to tell us about the story that you broke here on this program this summer about Fairfax public school teachers taking underage girls to get abortions without their parents knowing about it. I don't care how pro choice you are, I don't know how you can support this kind of activity. And so apparently the whistleblower in this whole case now is fighting back against an attack on her. Is that correct?
Walter Kurt
That is correct. So Zenida Perez is the whistleblower there and then you can see her in the video there. So what's been going on? And I've been over all over this story consistently since it's, since we broke it here on the this is the first program that broke that story, you know, that story. Now they have gone after the whistleblower. They have consistently. They have gone after her for months now. They try to get her into different meetings so they can try and fire her for different, you know, random other offenses. So this right now what she's filed now is a defamation lawsuit. This isn't just a, you know, like wrongful firing or something. They haven't technically fired her, they ever on administrative leave. But she is now suing them for defamation of character based on their big 62 page interim report where they claim that she fabricated the stuff that we broke on this story, the initial reporting that we came out with on this show. They claimed that she fabricated that stuff and that she's a liar and that she's just trying to do this for I don't know what exactly. I think they try to claim she's a conspiracy theorist. I think that's what their argument was essentially. But it's not going to work. And she's now suing for defamation and retaliation by the school district. And I think she's going to kill him in court.
Jake Novak
Well, I mean, look again, as I said before, I don't care how pro choice you are, if you think it's okay for teachers to take children, minors to any kind of medical procedure without the parents knowing about it. Unless this is a situation where there's a court order against the parents, there's evidence the parents have been abusive, all that kind of, none of that would happen in these cases otherwise. I just don't see how anyone can support that. And I doubt that anything more than 10% of the country supports that. I just don't. I just don't believe it. Walter. Kurt, thank you so much for joining us. I know you're going to be in Virginia over the next couple of days, so enjoy that. And I know it's going to be an interesting time.
Walter Kurt
No, it's going to be wild. Jake, I'll get with you next week.
Jake Novak
Okay? Yeah, we got to get an update coming up. You know, I have to say this, Tucker Carlson's quick descent got even steeper this week with his inexplicable decision to interview Nick Fuentes. Nick Fuentes is a man who endangers President Trump, the Republican Party and so much more. But I'm not smiling about this for more than just political reasons. I'll explain my concerns for the fall of a once great mind when American Sunrise EARLY EDITION comes right back. That's a live look at Times Square here in New York. It's a rainy morning. I can't tell whether those people have umbrellas or not. I gotta go into the city after this program. Please pray for me. No, it's, it's, I'll be okay. Actually, I feel sorry if anyone tries to mess with me. But by the way, for those of you who've not visited New York, and maybe you're waiting for better days to do that, but that's the TKTS counter right there. And that is where you stand to get last minute tickets, sometimes even at a discount for some of the Broadway shows. And it's fun in Times Square. Now it's no longer what it used to be. So you can do some fun stuff there. As you have a, you put a relative, you put everyone takes turns on the line and you can get a nice ticket to a nice show. That's my, that's my tourist tip of the day. I have some other tourist tips in New York. Follow me for more life hacks. This is a story that I really am not savoring bringing to you. Some of you might think, oh, I don't like Tucker Carlson because of the stuff he says about Israel. Maybe you think I'm happy to see what's going on there. I'm not. Tucker Carlson is someone who I've been following in this business and in politics for well over 20 years. And for just about each and every one of those years, I admired and enjoyed the content. His descent into, and I'm going to say this word advisory this term advisorly. But I think I know what I'm talking about. His descent into mental illness is on public display and it got really, really bad this week when he decided to interview Nick Fuentes, who some people might just write off as some kind of far right, bigoted, anti Semitic guy. But understand, Nick Fuentes is a danger to President Trump. Anytime he shows up in public, he's used as a weapon by the enemies of President Trump and of decency in this country as a way to undermine not just maga, but this country. And Tucker Carlson didn't just give him a platform, he gave him a loving platform. The last thing I'll say before I bring in David Brody, unfortunately, or maybe just because some people that I know who worked in this industry, I know a lot of people who have worked in the mental health care industry at the highest levels. And let me tell you something, bigotry and antisemitism is a very common symptom of mental illness. I used to visit with someone who was the head of a psychiatric icu. Intensive care for psychiatric patients, the highest level of mental illness. And let me tell you something, you walk on one of those wards even for an hour, but for more than that, and it is a racist and anti Semitic comment, anti gay comment coming out of every one of those patients mouths who can talk all, all day long. And unfortunately, I think we're seeing this. I really want to pray for this man, David Brody, because I don't think we're dealing with someone who's just changing his political affiliations or trying to make more money or any. I think this is someone who's dealing with a mental crisis. And I say that out of, out of care, not out of making fun of the guy. I'm really not.
David Brody
I see your heart on this, Jake, for sure. And I think prayer is definitely at the heart of it because I think it's a spiritual matter. You talk about mental illness. I'm not a doctor. You're not a doctor. You gave some wonderful, you know, anecdotal, if not scientific, scientific evidence from people that you know. And so I'm not here to judge anyone's mental illness or try to come to any conclusions. But though I will say the laugh is creepy, but that's a separate issue. Look, here, here's. There's so many issues I have with, with what Tucker's doing here. The fact that he said this, and here's the exact quote, and I'll just read it. So, because I don't want to be Don Lemon or anything and get it wrong. I despise Christian Zionists more than anyone else on earth, more than Hamas, more than radical Islamic terrorists. I mean, I can go down the list should we list all the bad dudes on the entire earth? Christian Zionists are the ones he despises most. See, to me, Jake, this is not public policy that we're debating. It's not foreign policy that we're debating. It's not any of those finer points. You want to have a disagreement on foreign policy, knock yourself out. That's fine. That's not what this is. This is something completely different. When you say you despise Christian Zionists, who all, by the way, believe in the fulfillment of biblical prophecy, that Israel, back when it became a Nation again in 1948, is fulfillment of biblical prophecy because the Bible said it was. So whether it be in Deuteronomy and Ezekiel, I can go down the list. Isaiah. The point is that that is a mainstream evangelical position. It's a mainstream even Job. It's not crazy kook stuff. Okay, so this idea that all of a sudden Christian Zionists are the problem, I think that suggests that Tucker Carlson is the real problem here. And more to the point, that what he represents and the people that agree with him and this gets into replacement theology and all of that, which is a separate issue, is the real danger here, at least from a theological perspective.
Jake Novak
Yeah, look, this is a cry for help. And no, of course this biblical prophecy doesn't mean you have to support a particular government policy.
David Brody
Nobody's saying that.
Jake Novak
