Ahead on American Sunrise Early Edition, another deadly example of what looks like leftist violence in America. The FBI says it's likely another radicalized young man was behind the shooting at an ice facility in Dallas. Has war been declared and only one side is fighting? One of the apologists and diversionary foot soldiers in the war in America is Jimmy Kimmel. And now President Trump is threatening to sue ABC for using programs like Kimmel's show as a de facto campaign contribution to the Democrats. The FBI says it did find highly classified documents at John Bolton's home at that raid last month, which would justify the move Democrats insisted was simply an act of revenge by the Trump administration. Former FBI lover boy Peter Strzok loses his lawsuit claiming his firing from the FBI was unlawful. You'll remember Strzok. He was the FBI agent working on the Russia collusion case. Caught texting his lover at the bureau about how much he hated President Trump. And is this supposed to be fun? It is. President Trump replaces the official portrait of Joe Biden at the White House with a picture of the auto pen. Well, at least it's more accurate. American SUNRISE EARLY EDITION begins now.

We will be letting the public know regularly what we have found. American SUNRISE early Ed, your host, Jake Novak starts now. Good morning. It's a Thursday. I'm Jake Novak. Welcome to AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY edition. Joining us right now is Gerard Felitti from the Lawfare Project. And Gerard, I want to believe, I want to believe this. That's how I'm going to couch this question to you first. I want to believe that beeped up law enforcement, smarter cases, smarter prosecution, smarter civil prosecution, civil suits is a way that we can stop this antifa violence, this left wing violence in America before it turns into armed conflict. One against that. Right now the shots are just coming from one side, let's face it. So I'd like to get your non military, your non military options that you can present to us on what we can do to hit back against what is really Starting to look like absolutely organized leftist violence against certain targets here in America.
Gerard Felitti
It's absolutely organized and it's chaotic. That's the point of this. It is to conspire in such a way as to cause the most damage to our democracy. And from a non military perspective, we do need law enforcement, but more importantly, we need to have intelligence. This is an intelligence mission first and foremost. These are people who are using the power of the Internet and anonymity to gather together and do all of these misdeeds. So the most important thing that we need right now is intelligence to discover the identities of these people, who funds them, how they operate. Then you can bring the prosecution to bear. Then you may need to bring the military to bear. If these are foreign sources or they're operating with a type of weaponry or sophistication that's beyond law enforcement. But the single most important thing is identifying who these people are, how they're funded and how they operate.
Jake Novak
I mean, this reminds me of the early days of the war on terror. There's a lot of things about the Patriot act that I know a lot of us are a little bit uncomfortable with, but the Patriot act, last time I checked, Gerard, is still in place. Do you think that there are some things that we can draw on from that, from those laws that might help us here?
Gerard Felitti
There absolutely are, and those are actually the intelligence apparatus. They're using the intelligence networks, using the tools that we have that NSA has, the FBI and CIA have, all the other three letter agencies, to get to the bottom of who these people are, how they're funded, where they get their instructions, how they operate. Those are powerful tools that were provided by the Patriot act and they still remain in force. Now, we know better now to use warrants, to use proper procedure, so that we have an airtight case when we bring these people to justice. But the ultimate issue is we need the intelligence to go after them. And the Patriot act gives us that intelligence.
Jake Novak
Gerard, perhaps the focus legally can be on the non combatants we're talking about. Just in a moment, the ones who are doing the indoctrination potential radicals. Now, I'll talk about abc, Disney and some of the mainstream media folks in a second because President Trump's looking to do something there. But first I want to talk about the funders that again, we alluded to, again, the George soros folks, the NGOs and things like that. They seem to be really careful. You know, they find all these second and third and fourth party entities to funnel the money and funnel the document Basically the words and the strategies through. But I do feel like when we were talking about those campus protests, which now seem very lame in comparison, I mean, as bad as those campus protests are, and we'll talk more about that in a second. But my honest question is, can we really finally get to, I mean, President Trump is declaring something about the Soros folks the other day, but how can we go at them directly now?
Gerard Felitti
We absolutely can. And this is something that the government has the tools to do. Look, I used to do counterterrorism finance litigation, which meant tracing back the money that was used in terrorist attacks. And you absolutely can do that. You can see whoever source is, you can see the intermediaries that were used. And with Antifa, which is now a terrorist organization, it's no different. You have the tools to track the money, you have the tools to track which organizations it's funneled through. And then you have conspiracy statutes, conspiracy laws that you can bring to bear to bring every part of that chain in for prosecution. The intermediary companies, the companies that provide the media, the opportunities, the messaging, and the funders. You use conspiracy and you bring them all to justice.
Jake Novak
Gerard, you're very familiar with the situation on these campuses. The radicalization I was talking about just a moment ago, it hasn't yet been connected to shootings on campuses and things like that, although I don't think that they're that far apart. But thank goodness we haven't seen, for example, some of these anti Israel protests or other anti other radical protests on campus, and not really many more other than that. But get into situations where they start shooting, they've done vandalism, they've broken into buildings, they've pushed some people around, people got poked in the head, that kind of thing. But if the DOJ really digs into some of the groups funding this, will you. Do you think they'll find some common, more than just common cause, but maybe common sources with the funding of the antifa and things like that? I mean, are we really. Could we get two birds with one stone here?
Gerard Felitti
I think we absolutely can. These do seem to be some of the same funding mechanisms. The same NGOs, the same nonprofits are being used to funnel money both to the anti Jewish groups on campus and to the antifa groups. The same groups that we saw, whether it was Occupy Wall street or the BLM riots, we're seeing the same nexus of events. And on campus, it has gotten that bad. It's not just poking kids in the eye, it's physical violence. It's breaking arms, it's putting people in the hospital. It's gotten to the point where we've even seen shootings in Washington, D.C. inspired by the same propaganda indoctrination you see on college campuses. So just as you saw with Charlie Kirk, just as we see with other radicalized individuals who are committing acts of violence, they all play the same messaging, they all share the same messaging.
Jake Novak
Let's talk about that messaging, because President Trump is looking at maybe suing abc, Disney for this reason. And by the way, this is something, as someone who worked in the mainstream media for more than 25 years, I can tell you could be an interesting avenue to pursue legally, which is that if you have a mainstream media outlet that has a broadcast license, a federal broadcast license, and they're not following the fair time, the equal time rules, they're only bringing on leftist guests, they're only bringing on Democrats, they are using their airwaves perhaps to dog whistle leftist activity, then they can either be sued like President Trump's looking at, and I think he means like a civil lawsuit against them, or they can be fined or they can have their licenses pulled. Now that people are going to yell and scream about equal about censorship and they're going to get all upset about and call it autocracy and fascism. But honestly, if you have a broadcast license and you're not following the equal time rule, you know, when I have a candidate on here, I have to make at least a cursory email to their opponent in the campaign to see if they'll come on, even though I know they probably won't even respond to me. But honestly, this is, could this be a potential legal avenue here to at least remind these organizations that they are dog whistling violent behavior?
Gerard Felitti
It could be, but with a big caveat. Equal time rule applies to candidates, applies to election issues. And although now we've gotten into what appears to most people to be non stop politics and nonstop electioneering, technically a lot of these issues are not spoken about in the context of an election or a candidate. So the equal time rules may not apply. You need that clarification from Congress. Maybe what we need is to expand Equal Time to have it more general when it comes to news broadcasts. That's one way to address indoctrination. That's a powerful tool. But I think before we get to the litigation, we need that legislation. We need President Trump to work with Congress to make sure that our airwaves present neutral content or balanced content. And it's not just the mainstream liberal media that's Been putting out biases nonstop.
Jake Novak
Well, and another action that's going on right now, and I don't know if there's any legal tool against this, is that you have the mainstream media and another group of large people, large groups in the Democratic Party who don't even admit that antifa exists. That's still the number one pushback I get from the left. Oh, antifa doesn't exist to me. And getting. And this is my last question. To me, this is so similar to the resurgence of the KKK that we saw here in the United States. And as you know, the way that the KKK was defeated in this country, it took until about the 1980s, was they went after their funding. And that funding source is a lot different than the antifa sources now. But that I think might be the blueprint. Couldn't it be?
Gerard Felitti
It's always going after the money. And it's understandable that people on the left don't even want to recognize what antifa is, because for them, it's not antifa. It's a social justice movement. They call it different things. For them, it's a good thing it's not this evil entity organization. But at the end of the day, you're absolutely right. The way to root these problems out is to cut the funding and prosecute the people who are engaged in violent acts. That sends the message of deterrence, that consequences are imposed. And when you cut the money, there's no more action that can be taken.
Jake Novak
Yeah, it's amazing. They think it's. They literally believe the name of the group Antifa, which stands for anti fascist. That's just the title of the group. Why don't I just rename the Whopper the Super Fat Loss Weight Loss Sandwich? And they'd be like, oh, it's a weight loss sandwich. What can be bad about it? It's just amazing how shallow they are. And they don't really get it. Gerard Felitti from the Law Fair Project, thank you for joining us. We're talking to you again pretty soon. Thank you.
Gerard Felitti
Always a pleasure. Thank you.
Jake Novak
All right, everyone, let's address the elephant in the room. I may not have any hair anymore, but don't you make the same mistake. If you're tired of thin, lifeless hair, if you cringe every time you see another clump in the shower drain, this was me 30 years ago. Then your hair probably needs more protein. Just like our muscles lose protein as we age and atrophy, our hair loses protein as well. Boy, I wish I'd known that leading to thin, dry and brittle strands. That's where hydralift Volumizing Shampoo by Purience can help. Hydralift contains wheat protein that strengthens your hair follicles from deep within. This transforms thin and lifeless hair into fuller, more resilient locks. It also contains betaine from sugar beets, which draws water into your strands, making your hair feel silky and soft. Right now you can try Hydralift Volumizing Shampoo risk free and save 35% with discount code early head over to Puriance.com to shop and save. And by the way, Puriance has many other fantastic products if you're looking to rejuvenate your skin, hair or nail appearance. All those are not too late for me. By the way, these are USDA certified organic so they're great for your body and the environment. Again, you can save 35% on your entire order with discount code early. Go to Puriance to shop and save today. Don't make the same mistake I did. At least I have an excuse that product wasn't around for me in time, but you still have time. Coming up, Senator Ted Cruz and Vice President J.D. vance both had some very strong statements about that ice shooting at the Dallas ICE facility yesterday. I'm gonna play those dueling sound bites and Emily Finn is gonna tell me which one was better when American Sunrise Early Edition comes.

It's a live look at our Capitol building in Washington D.C. see, I think it's, I think it got hot again here on the whole East Coast. It got hot again yesterday here in New York. So it's probably not that pleasant in Washington D.C. weather wise this morning. Welcome back to American Sunrise Early Edition Special. Welcome to those of you watching on the Getter chat and participating in that, by the way, you can also watch it live on Substack now. We've always been able to watch it live on X and on all those platforms you can comment and a lot of your comments actually very helpful to the production of this program. So I thank you for that. Hey, Emily Finn, real America's Voice contributor, joins us right now. And Emily, I want to play a game of we can make this a game show, a game of who had the better sound bite. Now I don't mean to make light of the subject matter that they're going to be talking about because this is about the ice shooting in Dallas yesterday. But I do want to make it about communication. Experts like us judging the communication abilities of two American senators. So first, I want to play Senator Ted Cruz's comment, and then I want to play Vice President J.D. vance's comment about what happened. Let's start with Ted Cruz. Check it out. This needs to stop. Violence is wrong. Politically motivated violence is wrong. It was two weeks ago today that we saw a political assassination in Utah that tore the heart out of much of this country. This is the third shooting in Texas directed at ICE or cbp. This must stop. To every politician who is using rhetoric, demonizing ICE and demonizing cbp, stop. To every politician demanding that ICE agents be doxed and calling for people to go after their families, stop. This has very real consequences. Look, in America, we disagree. That's fine. That's the democratic process. But your political opponents are not Nazis. All right. Okay. Now let's hear from Vice President Vance. Emily, listen to this. You don't have to agree with my immigration policies. You don't have to agree with Donald Trump's immigration policies. But if your political rhetoric encourages violence against our law enforcement, you can go.
LG XBoom Advertiser
Straight to hell, and you have no.
Jake Novak
Place in the political conversation of the United States of America. Okay, Emily, I know those are pretty. Two pretty good contenders. Believe me, I eliminated a lot of others. I got those two winners. Which one do you like best, or what do you like one about the. More about the other?
Emily Finn
Definitely J.D. vance, in my opinion. I thought he was fired up. I thought he had a lot of passion, and I think that's what you need in a moment like this. You know, we have seen, as Ted Cruz pointed out, multiple recent shootings, multiple instances of political violence. But I think the response to that, I actually though Ted Cruz said all the right words. What is. He was sleepy. I thought that was a Joe Biden speech kind of thing. Stop. Okay. Like, sure. But you gotta. You gotta do a little bit more. So I'm gonna pick J.D. on this one. Jake, I think J.D. had the better, better speech there.
Jake Novak
Well, you know, especially in a situation where it feels so much like we're at war and only one side is doing the shooting. I mean, there's really no other way to say it. How incredibly and intricately coordinated this is, I don't know. And, of course, that's for the investigators to find out. But the frequency of these shootings, the profiles of the shooters, so very similar. Young men, ages, you know, around 18 to 25, disaffected, they say. They all seem to have heavy online presence. I know it feels like these days, especially people who watch the news, everyone has an online presence. Not necessarily true, by the way. So it, this is something to me that's very, very serious. And so throughout the day, I was really liking that. I was like, I was thought, you know, I thought the Ted Cruz soundbite was great. But I'm like you, as soon as I saw JD Vance's comment, I thought, well, this is more of a comment of someone who was at least co leading a nation that's having an internal war that has now gone kinetic and violent.
Emily Finn
JD Usually steps up in these kind of situations and he usually has the right message and delivers it in the right way to get people fired up. And I think that's exactly what he's trying to do here. We need to put an end to all political violence. And the more that we talk about it in a passionate kind of way, I think we're going to be able to get to the bottom of some kind of a solution to make sure that this stops and this doesn't happen moving forward.
Jake Novak
Well, what will be interesting to see, Emily, is if both of them, ted Cruz and J.D. vance are candidates for president in 2028. I think we all know J.D. vance will be Cruz. I'm not so sure. I don't know if he'll ever run for president again. But it will be interesting to see if that's the case and if they bring that same tone, the two of them, to the campaign trail. Emily Finn, thanks for joining us. We're going to catch you again in the 8 to 10am hours. Thank you so much.
Emily Finn
Thank you, Jake.

It's a foggy day in Manhattan. As you can see from this shot here. You can just see the Brooklyn Bridge. That's the first bridge on the right there. For those of you who want to know your Manhattan Brooklyn stuff, it goes BMW, Brooklyn Manhattan Bridge. That's the next one over there on the left. And then you can see the Williamsburg Bridge even further off to our left. Hey, let's take a look at where the markets are going to begin today as we continue American Sunrise early edition here on REAL America's voice. Negative numbers, nothing too serious for each of the indices. On a little bit of a losing streak this week. Trying to get back into the positive gold, which was well over $3,800 an ounce, back down at the $3,700 level. But up this morning, crude oil taking a little bit of a pause, looked like it was on a collision course with 65 bucks a barrel again. But we're at 64. And let's take a look at bitcoin. And bitcoin is at 111,552. So it's also kind of at one of its lows in recent days. So that's important to check that out. Hey, the masters of the universe are back. For those of you who know your terminology from the book Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolf, I'm talking about those guys on Wall Street. It's mostly guys now, a little bit more, a few more women now than there were 40 years ago when people started calling those Wall street brokers and investment banker types of the masters of the universe. But they're back now. Just a couple of months ago, the big brokerage firms on Wall Street, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, even Bank of America were all talking about laying off more people. Well, they put that on hold because mergers and acquisitions are hot again. IPOs are hot again at the mid level range, not necessarily the biggest companies in the world, but definitely s and P500 companies. And so Wall street is now hiring again, especially bankers. So there you go. Bring out the hair gel and the suspenders and the power ties. It's back to the very heady days on Wall Street. I can only imagine what some of the bonuses are going to be when we find out what they are usually around February. Now, another thing that's hot right now are new home sales. And I mean new. Talking about new construction home sales. That's a very small part of the market, actually. Of course, most people buy homes that have been lived in before, but still, it's important to note that in August, new home sales surged 20%. That is a very unusual jump. And it does really mean that we are likely to see good home sales increase in the general market overall, not just in the brand new construction. So check that out. As you know, I've been saying on this program for quite some time, we're not going to really get this economy going until we can get the real estate market going. People need to have homes that they can afford. And the people who are selling the homes need to find a new place they can live in that isn't sticker shock. When they look at the mortgage rates, they might be in a home that has a 3% mortgage and then looking at a condo that they need to buy with a 7%. That's not going to work for them. So we need this to move. All right, folks. You guys know that the NFL is hot. Whether you like it or not, it just is. It is America's number one entertainment addiction. I know a lot of you watching walked away from the NFL, but most Americans haven't and the NFL knows it. And now they're acting like the Corleone family. They want to renegotiate their team TV and streaming deals. Now, they weren't supposed to renegotiate these deals until a couple of years from now, but they want to do it now. And there's a couple of reasons why. One is it's hotter than ever. You might as well try to negotiate more money when you negotiate more money when you're hot. But there's another reason. You know, there's still a lot of streaming networks out there, probably more than the market can sustain. I'm among many people who believe there's going to be consolidation in streaming pretty soon. Probably be just two main streaming companies. I had to guess it'll be Netflix and Amazon and the rest of them will somehow fold into something else. So While there's a lot of streaming companies still competing, the NFL wants to renegotiate its contract because in three years there may not be as many people sitting at the table and as much money to be made. Roger Goodell is a stone cold gangster. He knows how to squeeze money out of this product better than anybody else. I know. I don't love the guy, but he knows what he's doing with money and that's what the NFL is trying to do right now. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, start your engines. The company is now going to extend those lower interest rates to people with sketchy credit. Now for those of you who think that's counterintuitive, don't the people who don't have good credit need lower interest rates anyway? Listen, the reason why if you don't have good credit, you don't get a good rate is that the lender's trying to discourage you from taking a loan you may not be able to pay back. That's the logic behind it. Well, Ford is willing to roll the dice here, but like I said, this is a gamble not only for the usual reasons, but also because of what I talked about here on this program in this Moving America segment. Loan defaults on car loans are through the roof here in America. The number of people who are trading in cars that where they owe more than the car is worth is at an all time high. And yet in this environment, Ford is still willing to try to get some more people to make big, big loans, to take out big loans and buy the Ford F150. Now here's one of the reasons why this may be a great idea. Most people, I think in America buy the Ford F150 for more than just something that looks nice in the driveway. They use it for work purposes. And perhaps that Ford is looking at this and saying that the folks who are going to buy this are going to be using it for increased business activity and that will generate more money for them and they will be able to pay back the loan that way. I sure hope they're right. I would hate to see more loan default here in the United states. The Ford F150 has been the top selling vehicle in America for more than 40 years. It may have come in tide last year with the Toyota RAV4. I don't think we're ever going to get an honest answer about that. We have conflicting reports about that. But needless to say, it's either number one or number two for 40 years running. All right, there's a company called Lithium Americas and its stock doubled yesterday in one day. Why? Because the Trump administration is seeking an equity stake. They're looking to buy a share of this company now. Why? It's a mining company. It's actually a Canadian company, but it owns the biggest lithium mine here in the United States. That's in Nevada. And lithium, for those of you who know, is a very, very major, important part of what is needed for batteries, whether it's a hybrid car, a, an electric vehicle, other types of things like that. For the people who are going crazy about this and getting all upset about the Trump administration buying into private companies, the justification from the White House's point of view is that this is a national security issue. If we don't have these rare earth miners working with the United States exclusively or at least with us in some way, they can very easily supply our enemies with weapons grade materials that are needed for war and other things that we won't have if they go overseas. This is similar to a nationalization of plutonium or uranium mining. Literally. We can't let other countries do that. We haven't done that for more than 70 years. I think that's the strongest justification for this. But you can make money on it. Maybe take a look at some other companies that do rare earths because their stocks could double in one day too. All right, another one bites the dust. You know I love doing this. This time it's the electric Acura ZD X. It's an all electric vehicle suv. It's going away, folks. It had one model year this year. Not enough demand. Acura is getting rid of it. They tried a bunch of huge discounts, by the way, to boost sales. Didn't work. Bye bye. No more EV zdx. All right. Meanwhile, getting back to Ford, they are looking into a hybrid version of the Mustang. Now, probably they're looking for the chance that their Mach E all electric Mustang won't continue to be as popular as it is. Got to do a little bit of admission here. Not all EVs are unpopular in sales. The Mach E Ford Mustang the electric version of the Mustang actually has been selling pretty well, but Ford wants to hedge its bets and they are reportedly now looking into a hybrid version of the Mustang to come out in a year or so. So keep an eye on that, all right? What do Realtek's experts think about the new $100,000 fee that President Trump is slapping on every H1B visa job that American companies are using to bring in foreign workers? Well, I'm going to talk to a tech expert and you're going to hear from her when American Sunrise early edition comes right.

It's Thursday, September 25th. Here are this morning's top stories. Another deadly example of leftist violence in America. As the FBI says it's likely another radicalized young man was behind the shooting at an ice facility in Dallas. Has war been declared? But only one side is actually fighting. One of the apologists and diversionary foot soldiers in the war on America is Jimmy Kimmel. And now President Trump is threatening to sue ABC for using programs like Kimmel's show and others as de facto campaign contributions to the Democrats. Hey, the FBI says it did find highly classified documents at John Bolton's home at that raid last month. Remember the uproar? Well, that would justify the move the Democrats insisted was simply an act of revenge by the Trump administration. And hey, it's supposed to be fun to be president. President Trump replaces the official portrait of Joe Biden at the White House with a picture of the auto pen. I think that might be more accurate. But all kidding aside, I'd like the pictures of the people who took the money. I think to make those pardons and clemencies at the last minute. American Sunrise EARLY EDITION continues now. Welcome back to AMERICAN SUNRISE EARLY edition. It's a Thursday already. This week is moving fast. I'm Jake Novak. Thank you so much for joining us, especially those of you on the Getter Chat, who now watching us live on Substack as well on X and commenting. Thank you so much for that. Again, the days of passive TV news watching should have been over 40 years ago, but they are certainly over now. And your comments are appreciated. I often learn from them. And even when you take a hit at me, hey, at least it keeps me humble. Joining us again, she was with us last week joining us again because there's a tech issue we got to talk to her about is tech expert Ann Liebschutz. And Ann, I'm so glad you're available today because I've been talking about this story that I think a lot of people have understandably not been looking at all that much with all the other news going on. But President Trump over the weekend announcing he's gonna slap a $100,000 fee on each H1B visa job. By the way, every year, this is an annual fee that American companies use H1B visa they use to bring in foreign workers. I'd like to get your overall we're going to get into some specifics in a second, but I'd like your overall take on this policy, Ann.
Washable Sofas Advertiser
Sure.
Ann Liebschutz
Thank you. Well, first, we know a lot more as of yesterday. And earlier in your broadcast you mentioned a book, bonfire of the Vanities. I'll mention a book, Tale of Two Cities, except here it's Tale of Two Worlds. Two completely different worlds. You have the perspective of big tech companies and that's very different than the perspective of small tech companies and your US SBIR companies. Separately, you have two different worlds of use of the H1B system for merit based immigration to get the best and the brightest here with our US Industrial base versus abuse of the system for cheap labor. So when we look at this, we're really looking at it from two different worlds and we have two different views that bring an important perspective.
Jake Novak
All right. And there's a media aspect to this that I keep pounding the table on that I want to bring in, because this is an important aspect of this and this is something that I have personal experience with. So I'd like to bounce it off of you. Every media, mainstream media company in this country, whether it's the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and of course, I'm talking about these financial groups first have for 11 or 10 years or so now been bringing in H1B visa workers to do the jobs that were already being done very well by American born or already immigrated naturalized citizens of this country. I had this experience at CNBC where One day in 2014 or 2015, dozens of H1B visa workers came in to do the back office work on our website. Our website, by the way, was fantastic already. It wasn't like, oh, we have a bad website. We need to ramp up our competition. We need to bring in these foreign geniuses who have training that Americans don't have. They were obviously doing this to undermine the American earning power, to pay the Same for the same work, less money. Is this an unusual instance? Was this just happening at CNBC and the Wall Street Journal or does this happen elsewhere?
Ann Liebschutz
Well, here we get into the two different worlds. So there is a world where we really can use the H1B system to our advantage as an American. And that is bringing in the best and the brightest in certain types of technical and engineering degrees. Just like sports. We want the best people and we want all the best people. We want all the, all the best talent. So using the system to bring in the best and the brightest engineers so we have them with our US workforce, that's a good use of the system. Whereas just using it to bring in lower cost labor and be able to reduce the cost of labor, that's what's being viewed as not a good use of the system. And some companies take it even further where they use abuse. They use this for abusive practices. Not just coming in and not using the system for the best and the brightest and bringing in the best engineers, but just to replace and reduce labor costs and also sometimes even drastically bring in cheap labor, park these individuals and then use them for other projects just to outsource costs versus really trying to bring in good people for the company companies. So this, this point that you're bringing, that you're bringing up is really what the main concern is with this new policy.
Jake Novak
Yeah, it's called sweatshop. You know, someone who's worried they're going to get deported because their visa is not going to get application, is not going to get approved by the company. Who knows what they'll do to keep it. And again, I will once again give my warning here. I don't know how many people are watching who can make a difference about this, but if, if you're a mainstream media outlet, abc, cbs, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, cnbc, I'm going to name all of you and you are not disclosing in your articles and stories and reports about this issue that you yourselves use a massive number of H1B visa workers that you didn't need or didn't say you needed 11 years ago or 10 years ago. That is a real case of journalistic, really malpractice. You need to tell the people that you're using or abusing this process yourself. And I want to talk a little bit about the future here because I had a guest on a couple of days ago, a banking guest, who told me something that I had to check to see if he was right. And he was right. Young Americans with tech degrees especially in computer science and software engineering are suffering with a higher unemployment rate than the general unemployment rate. This scares the heck out of me. How in the world is that possible? And is it possible, Ann, that using cheaper foreign labor to do that is one of the reasons why they're suffering this higher unemployment rate?
Ann Liebschutz
So you know, there's, there's, there's the best and the brightest, you know, pushing our industry, pushing US companies ahead. And there is always the, there, you know, there's always the ability to absorb the best and the brightest in the workforce. You know, we want the best global talent. If we want to remain the most competitive country in the world, we want global talent. Where the issue comes is you start looking at various grades below that and we start getting out of the best and the brightest technical and engineering degrees into just tech, tech servicing and tech workers. And that's where we get into the body shops and the replacement of labor, not you know, at some of these mid tier, mid tier tech level positions. And that's really where we saw a lot of information yesterday as come out with the notice of proposed rulemaking that came out yesterday was published on the Federal Register. So yesterday there we, yesterday is probably the day we got the most information about the intent of this hundred thousand dollar application fee. The Department of Homeland Security put out a request for comments on a proposed rule that essentially says, all right, we're going to have this, we're going to have this system in place and it's going to be weighted and it's going to be wage weighted. Therefore the, you know, the top talented jobs, the most competitive, the most need based engineering jobs, we really want to bring in global talent. Those are going to be weighted in favor of those applications. Whereas just general lower wage tech jobs are going to be weighted low. They're going to be weighted lower and that way it's going to reduce the number of applications. It's going to help streamline companies that really want to bring in the best engineers for US companies into the process. So what we saw yesterday speaks to the intent of the $100,000 application fee to favor bringing in the people we need the people we want the people that make Ameris companies the greatest global talent, US Talent. We want everybody versus just trying to replace US labor with lower cost labor.
Jake Novak
Yeah, and I want to see our youth in America who've been told learn to code, learn to code. There's like coding academies by the way, like in storefron fronts all over the country and strip malls. I don't want to see that, that those skills go to waste. Yeah, I also want more kids to learn how to be plumbers and mechanics too. But look, the folks who put that effort in, they were doing that in good faith. And last thing I want to ask you, but listen, I was interested to see that you're not alone in the opinions that you have about this. There is one big tech founder, and that is Reed Hastings, who agrees that this is a good policy. He's the guy who started Netflix. Listen, he's not in the world of Trump cheerleaders, let's just put it that way. And the fact that he's willing to support this, this gives me hope. This is someone who, you know, again, it's not one of those, like tech companies where he can sort of hide behind the shadows. He's in a media company now, basically. They make movies and TV and all that kind of stuff. And for him to say that this is a good policy, I was encouraged by that. I wonder if that gave you a little bit of a smile also that you're not alone in.
Ann Liebschutz
Yeah. Once again, two worlds. You have the position of tech companies that are really trying to do merit based immigration to make US Companies the strongest, the most industrious, the most competitive. And we want the best engineers. We want US Engineers, we want global, global engineers. We want the top talent on our team. And by having this high one time application fee, it enables companies that want to make serious investments into serious people to bring them into US Companies and be part of our companies as opposed to just practicing the abusive practice of bringing in high numbers of foreign workers to replace U.S. workers to reduce costs for the workforce. So when you're really looking at merit based tech recruitment on a global basis, this can help. It stops the high number of applications. It stops those that are just trying to bring in high numbers to lower costs from doing this abusive practice because they're not going to file $100,000 per applic. It enables companies that really want to bring in specific scientists, specific engineers, people with specific technical disciplines to come in and be a part of the US competitive industry.
Jake Novak
Yeah, well, and also if you're at Netflix, if you're, you're dealing with a business, and first of all, it's heavily unionized. Hollywood's heavily unionized. And second of all, you can't have a bunch of actors on a Netflix show who don't speak English. It's not going to work. And Lieb Schwitz, thank you so much for joining us. We'll talk to you again. Soon.
Ann Liebschutz
Thank you.

That'S a live look at Miami, Florida, here on this Thursday. Oh, I really like the way the sun is reflecting. It makes a golden hue on all those buildings. Very, very nice. It's a little hazy and a little bit sticky here in New York this morning. So once again, Miami wins. Hey, welcome back to AMERICAN sunrise, EARLY edition. It's a Thursday. Thank you so much for joining us. Is Jim Comey, the former director of the FBI, about to get indicted? A lot of reports in the news media last night saying that an indictment is imminent. The question I have for David Brody as he joins us now is on what I can think of a lot of things to indict him for, but I think one of the, I guess it seems like lying to Congress is going to be the one that's most likely if I had to bet on it. How about you, David?
David Brody
Yeah, that's what it would be be lying to Congress. The question really is going to come down to this. Will a grand jury indict him over it? Is there enough evidentiary evidence? Now, of course, we hear real America's voice, the other conservative networks that say, of course there's ev okay, great. But let's slow our roll for a second. It's all going to depend on what this grand jury says and exactly where this would take place, where the grand jury would convene. And I haven't seen that. Maybe we don't know yet officially. So we'll see. This, this is all very interesting, you know, because we were talking on the show yesterday and I was not convinced at all that this administration would bring forward any charges. And here they are today bringing forward potentially some charges. So, so this just in, I was wrong on that. But once again, we'll see. I, you wonder if Clapper and, and all of those folks are, you know, shaking in their boots. I will say this, maybe people should go to the beach and, and form a cool shell formation, uh, spelling out James Comey, uh, something with James Comey and his name, because 8647, as we know, I, you know, to me it was just so interesting when he said 8647 was quote, a cool, that's what he called it, a cool shell formation. Okay. Even if you didn't know what it was, which, you know, you knew what it was, but even if you didn't, you wouldn't call it a cool shell formation. I mean, why is that a cool shell format anyhow? Don't get me started. This guy is as, he's pretty corrupt. Allegedly. There I threw it.
Jake Novak
I mean, look, I, and I say this because I'm with, you know, I'm on now with David and David knows some of the players that I'm going to talk about. But I highly recommend folks who want to know about the origins of the FBI and where it goes off track and where in my opinion, and again, we'll see where things go now with Cash Patel, where in my opinion it really hasn't changed. Please read the book Leak by Max Holland. It's a really, it's not that long. And you read about how top level people at the FBI have operated for a long time. Doesn't matter who the President is. But what you find out is that their number one goal is to increase their power within the FBI. They often work with the President to give the president at the moment what he might want. But sometimes in this case, it looks like James Comey early on decided maybe he'll work with the other side, trying to take a long bet. He lost that bet because as you know, he was fired early on in President Trump's first administration. But I have to tell you, this argument that left is making, the Democrats are making that Cash Patel is just a lapdog for President Trump. Well, honestly, you know, President Trump was elected. There's accountability there. If an FBI director is working at the behest of the President's agenda, what he feels is a good crime finding agenda for the United States, to me that's at least, that's a lot more transparent than the J. Edgar Hoovers and James Comey's of the world. I don't know who they're working for other than themselves. To me it's preferable to have someone who's being more accountable to the president.
David Brody
And it goes to a larger issue. And I'm curious to get your take on this, so I'll be brief. So obviously it's your show. We'll give you some time to respond, Jake, but, but here, here's the deal. Like so Cash Patel and Dan Bongino are trying to get to the bottom of the Tyler Robinson situation, obviously regarding Charlie Kirk and what happened there. But what if they come out and conclude, yeah, it was a long gunman, that's it, end of story. And all of this other stuff that's out there is just not true. Will MAGA believe Cash Patel and Dan Bongino? They should, they should, but I don't know if they will. I'm curious to get your take on that. What would happen then?
Jake Novak
Well, you know, there would be an initial pushback on it. But you know, as we saw with the Epstein files thing, there's a lot of MAGA uproar about it and the Democrats have tried to seize on it. But at the same day, yeah, same thing. But at the end of the day, I think that there's an understanding that President Trump is the choice for the his supporters there. They may not like everything that's moving on and they have the right to voice it. But I think that's what I don't think it'll be a death blow to put it that way. We are going to have to say goodbye. It's not a death blow, but we are going to say goodbye right now for American Sunrise early edition American Sunrise, the big show with David, Dr. G and T. Bates on for the next two hours. I'll see them in the 9am hour and I'll see you on this program tomorrow at 7am taking attendance. Thanks for joining us.
