This is an iHeart podcast, Guaranteed Human. Just ahead this Monday morning on American Sunrise, the Justice Department sent a letter to Congress of politically exposed persons in the Epstein files. What else is going to come out? We're going to tell you about it. Plus, the Department of Homeland Security has officially shut down after Congress failed to pass funding before the deadline, leaving TSA agents and other workers on the job without pay. When will this end? Tennessee Congressman John Rose will have some insight for us. Also later, Secretary of State Marco Rubio outlines a new foreign policy vision, urging Europe to reinforce alliances with the US While criticizing issues like mass migration, free trade and climate policies and stressing that the US And Europe belong together. How did that message go over? We're going to have those stories for you. So much more as American Sunrise starts right now.
David Brody
Good morning, America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
David Brody
Politics. President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Emily Finn
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot. We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody. I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina. All right. Good morning, patriot warriors. I'm Dr. Gina. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Hope you had a great weekend. Let's bring in Emily, who is with me here in the Palm Beaches. Also, Debro, who's out there in Washington, D.C. david Brody, good morning. Hope you had a beautiful birthday weekend. Hope you didn't crush eggs all over yourself this morning. On the, on your.
David Brody
Yeah, No, I heard that was you.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, that was me. Yeah. Making messes every single day after all these years, Emily. It's embarrassing.
Tracy Anthony
Thank God you're not like me. I spilled coffee all over my dress this morning. So hopefully we don't see that on.
Dr. Gina
Camera, you know, at least thing going, you know, we're, we're getting, we're getting our Monday morning.
Tracy Anthony
The Monday. Quite the Monday.
David Brody
Great. So you both are making messes. So you're Democrats is what you're saying this morning. Okay. I don't.
Dr. Gina
Word. I don't know, David Brody, the Republicans are making some pretty good messes out of things these days.
David Brody
Fair enough. Fair enough. All right. Hey, by the way, there's a lot of news to get to, but there's some really important news on the vaccine front. Senator Rand Paul has introduced this legislation that actually came out this week that would eliminate federal liability protections for vaccine manufacturers. So basically, you know, those protections have been in place for four Decades. And they've been used to protect vaccine manufacturers from product liability lawsuits. Dr. G. Big deal here.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. For the longest.
David Brody
Woo.
Dr. Gina
We switched up. For the longest time. For the longest time, vaccine companies have been held harmless, which means, you know, you can have a vaccine injured child, like millions of people do, and there was literally nothing you could do about it in the United States. And so this could change given this. So this is very exciting. And this is something that Dr. Paul, I mean, I respect. He is a. He's the OG on everything. Maha. He's been talking about this stuff for ages. And he's one of the first people that, you know, I would hear, you know, back in the day, I've told you guys the stories of my husband in his Senate office. And I would sit there and these moms and dads would come in hysterical because their child had been vaccine injured and they knew it. They had a perfectly fine child until the day they took that vaccine. And then the child, you know, and so. But he's one of the only people that I ever felt like I could talk to about it until this administration. So it's. But this is one of the fundamentals, Emily, being able to have some recourse if something. People have to have responsibility for the drugs they're injecting into people's bodies, especially babies.
Tracy Anthony
Absolutely, Gina. And I think that it was during the COVID 19 pandemic that this topic about vaccines became a bit more mainstream, a bit more acceptable to even talk about. You said this was years ago talking to Senator Paul about all of this, but now look at what, what is happening now. This is definitely coming to the forefront and hopefully we are going to see some accountability because like I said, especially during the COVID 19 pandemic, this is something that, you know, vaccines, like you said, for babies and for young children as well, something that we should be addressing and should be talking about.
David Brody
Yeah, love the fact that we're talking about this. Let's talk about the Bible too. Bible verse time, Dr. G. On a Monday.
Dr. Gina
And we have Lee Greenwood coming up a little later on the show too.
David Brody
Oh, yes.
Dr. Gina
Zechariah 2, verse 13. Be silent, all flesh before Lord, for he is aroused from his holy habitation. All right, you guys. The Justice Department now says they have released every required document from the Epstein files. The department also says it has sent Congress a six page letter listing hundreds of prominent people named in the files. But it makes no distinction between those who just had some sort of contact with Epstein and those who maybe bore some relationship Responsibility in some of the wrongdoings. The DOJ said it was complying with the new Epstein files transparency law. No one other than Epstein or his accomplice has been charged in connection with the crimes. Let's bring in Tennessee Congressman John Rose. Congressman, you know, we're hearing a lot about people wanting arrests, and I understand that, but I think more than that, more fundamentally, what I want are investigations. I want to know that some people are actually that this is being investigated. Because when I simply look through the Epstein files, I mean, it's, it's, as many have said, Congressman, it's so upsetting, so much worse than I ever, ever thought it possibly could be, that it's just got to be. People have got. Heads have got to roll on this. Congressman.
David Brody
Well, good morning. Thanks for having me on America's Sunrise. This is, of course, you know, the frustrating thing about these situations. And obviously this has been going on with Epstein all the way back, really two decades now, where there has been a frustrated effort to try to bring people to justice, including Jeffrey Epstein. And so I think that's why people have grown so cynical about this. And I think you're right. People do want to see the perpetrators, the wrongdoers here held to account. That's always what people want in these situations. So hopefully there can be some of that. But I think we also have to keep in mind that in many cases, the crimes happened a long time ago, and so it's going to be difficult to get justice at this point. But so I think a lot of what we can hope for here is to just call people to account. Yeah, no doubt about it, Congressman. Today's a national holiday, President's Day. Obviously, Congress not in session, but Homeland Security, the department shut down. Democrats and Trump negotiating some changes. What are, are you hearing about possible changes? Is this going to happen in terms of getting some sort of deal done or how long could this go on with no funding for dhs? And I understand that ICE is funded, but tsa, fema, we got some problems down the road here. That's right. We're now in day three of the third Schumer shutdown, the third time radical Democrats have shut down the federal government in frankly, as many months in each case because they want to protect illegal aliens in this country. This time, they want to stop the deportation of criminal illegal aliens, those who've come to our country and committed heinous crimes. And so it's very disturbing to see the Democrats using the leverage that they can muster to hurt everyday Americans. In this case by stopping, as you said, by shutting down. As you've already pointed out, FEMA and the Transportation Safety Administration, Coast Guard, the Secret Service, Customs and Border Protection, you know, the safety and security of the American people they're willing to put at risk to, you know, to advance their agenda to, you know, continue to allow illegals to stay in this country. And it's really shameful. I think it could go on for a while because I think what they want, Republicans are unwilling to let them have. We are not going to back off the commitment that President Trump made as a candidate has fulfilled as president to get our border under control and to get these terrible law breaking criminal illegal aliens out of the country. Quick follow up. You said for a while. What are you thinking? A couple weeks, A month? Longer? What do you think? Well, it's hard for me to see how we get to agreement at least this week because the Senate has gone home. They've mustered up the ability to pass eight bills this entire year, while on the House side we've passed almost 50. And so the pace of work over there is very slow at best. And they're not even going to be in Washington apparently this week trying to confront this issue. So I think it will be a while. And it's hard to see where we come to agreement here given the extreme demands that the Democrats are making here about putting the safety and security of the American people in jeopardy.
Tracy Anthony
Also, Congressman, President Trump says that he will require voter ID for the November midterms with or without Congress approval. Trump claims that he could use an executive order to enforce ID checks, prove citizenship and limit mail in ballots. This comes as a voter ID bill that passed the House, faces challenges in the Senate. So, Congressman, how do you see all of this playing out?
David Brody
Well, it's again, a very sad story because well over 300 days, I think now close to 310 days ago, the House passed the SAVE Act. This past week we passed the Save American Act, Save America act with only one Democrat vote, I might point out. And this is an issue that well over 80% of Americans agree on, over 70% of Democrats agree on this topic. And so again, we have the radical progressive side of the Democratic Party that's driving them to discourage work against a solution that Americans overwhelmingly embrace. And so we've seen the Senate not even willing to take this up. I think the president is trying to push that forward. I hope he can. Obviously, there would likely be challenges to his authority there. But at the end of the day, what every American and what the citizens of Tennessee that I talk to want is they want the election secured. We want to know that the people who are voting are citizens of this country, have a right to vote, properly identify themselves. And we've seen that degraded in recent years, most, you know, dramatically in the 2020 presidential election. But it brings question to all of our elections, and that undercuts the democratic process.
Dr. Gina
I mean, you gotta show ID to go fishing. So, like, when I think about it like that, I'm like, really, Congressman, I want to revisit this Epstein thing because you. I want to make sure I understand you correctly because you said you don't think that. It sounded to me anyway that you don't think that there will be a lot of investigations, prosecutions, arrests, that mostly this would just be about accountability. But here's the thing, Congressman. There's a disconnect between Congress, between Washington, D.C. and Maga on the ground. If you look through social media, all you're going to see out there is Epstein and Charlie. Pretty much those are the two things I see when I'm out there in social media. You know, the thing about the Epstein thing is, yes, some of this did happen a long time ago, some of it didn't. Some of it's actually fairly recent, and some of it, a lot of it is actually still happening today because no one has been punished. What do we do about that?
David Brody
Well, I think you're right. I think that's where this could lead, to justice for some of these victims and hopefully safeguard Americans who might become victims. So we should bring this to light. I don't disagree with that at all. But I think we have to be sober about how the, you know, the process of justice moves, the wheels of justice turn slowly, as they say. And so I think we have to be vigilant about that. I think it's positive to get the names of some of these folks into the public domain so that there can be a light of scrutiny shine on them. But I think we also have to be sober about the extent of that, and we'll have to be vigilant. And so I, you know, I applaud those who are pushing forward on this issue because it is important to safeguard as many Americans as we can and to get justice for as many Americans as we can. We've seen the slow progress here and the resistance to getting this information into the public domain. And we have to keep in mind the need to be careful about falsely accusing people who unfortunately are swept into this in some way that did not deserve to be. So I think we have to be careful with that as well.
Dr. Gina
I agree. I think everyone understands that really clearly. I wish there was as much emphasis on the victims and the current victims of human trafficking, sex slavery and future victims as well as. Congressman, just keep pushing that issue for me up there, if you will. And thank you so much for being on the show today.
David Brody
Thanks. I think you're right about this. And that's one of the things I would point out with respect to the immigration issue is, you know, where, where were the Democrats when Jocelyn Nungre was being raped? Where were they when Lake Riley was being killed? Now they want to protect illegal aliens, but they were not willing to stand up for these Americans.
Dr. Gina
Right. And I'm glad that the Trump administration is all over. Where are the missing children from the open border days of Biden as well? Thank you so much again, Congressman. Listen, coming up, everybody, President Trump says the board of peace will pledge $5 billion to rebuild Gaza. What other initiatives could come? We have those developments for you also. Next, the search for Nancy Guthrie continues. Where is everything? Where does it stand? There was a glove found. There was DNA. We have more facts soon here on American Sunrise.
Emily Finn

The FBI says a glove found about two miles from the Tucson home of missing 84 year old Nancy Guthrie appears to match what a suspect wore on surveillance video the night that she vanished. Investigators have sealed off roads and towed a vehicle as the search enters its third week, but no arrests have been made. Guthrie, the mother of NBC TODAY co anchor Savannah Guthrie, is still missing and authorities and family are urging anyone with information to come forward. Let's bring in RAV correspondent Kevin Posobec for more. He is in Tucson with the very latest. Kevin, explain to us the latest what is going on with this glove?
Emily Finn
Okay. Good morning, Emily. Yes, with this glove the FBI has gotten results and it has come back with a match for a male suspect. We're not given a name at this time. And also the FBI stated that there was a total of 16 gloves, okay. Acquired here that have been searched. You know we had Sheriff Nanos taking that to Florida and brought back in about 24, maybe 48 hours. That's the glove you see there. And, you know, we're waiting for further developments on that, but that we're also being told that the suspect himself is being searched in this way, but also potential family members. I didn't even know that was possible. With patterns that you see on fingerprints and even blood that that could be related. So they're searching for that as well in the database. And keep in mind, if you have fingerprints on record in the first place, that means you're already a criminal. So stay tuned for that. With the. The gloves, for sure.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah, that's going to be an interesting development in the. In the evidence there, there, Kevin. So we are two weeks into this search for Nancy Guthrie. You know, even just a couple days after, it's not looking too good that we're going to be able to find her. What are you hearing from authorities about the search, about the likelihood that they think they're going to be able to track her down?
Emily Finn
Well, about the search and the likelihood. I mean, we're really at a loss here. And that's not due to anybody in the media. You know, we have. So I'm out front of Nancy Guthrie's house right now, and if you could see that behind me is the array of flowers. That's her mailbox and all kinds of yellow flowers. And they have police stationed here at the house 247 to guard it, but they just are not giving clear press conferences. I signed up, gave my credentials to get on the email list for statements. Not getting much of that, but we are getting some reports from Sheriff Nanos to media saying that they are working in conjunction with FBI in this way towards the search. We've had the number posted up. Savannah Guthrie herself pleaded, you know, for people to call in. So they're going through thousands of leads here at this point, also dealing with false leads that we're seeing on the ground, too. So everybody. It's not. I. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a wild goose chase, but it's really becoming even more complex, I hate to say. But, yeah, we're here regardless. And, you know, I'm on the ground in the field, and I will follow wherever the next update goes. I was there to follow the Range Rover case at the Culver's, and I was there at the SWAT operation Friday night. You know, we really thought we would have a conclusion then, but we didn't. People have been detained and then released. So, yeah, we're really hoping to get some more confirmation and updates soon.
Tracy Anthony
Right. Kevin, you are on the case. We so appreciate you being there on the ground for us. We'll check in with you to see what new developments come of the Nancy Guthrie case. Thank you for being there, Kevin.
Emily Finn
You're welcome.
Tracy Anthony

And also leave your name and city in our social media chats. And you can get a personalized hometown forecast from Tracy. Tracy, good morning. Always great to have you with us. Tell us, what is it looking like in the forecast today? Hey, good morning, Emily. Yeah, you know, it was a crazy weekend with that storm system moving across the South. So just wanted to show a few videos from the damage from Texas all.
Dr. Gina
The way through areas like Mississippi.
Tracy Anthony
12 tornadoes confirmed at this time, but there were over 50 tornado warnings over Saturday and Sunday. So now into this week, we are really talking about the West Coast. We've got an atmospheric river that's setting up that's going to inundate California with rain and Snow. We're talking 4 to 8ft of snow in some of the higher elevations. So this is beneficial mountain snow all the way through the Colorado Rockies.
Dr. Gina
So we've been running a deficit snow.
Tracy Anthony
Wise, but definitely going to cause some issues. And with record warmth, we also have an elevated fire risk across parts of the Central Plains. Emily, it's going to be an active.
Dr. Gina
Week, but a lot of the active.
Tracy Anthony
Weather is going to stay stay out West. So if we have any viewers out west, drop in your city for your hometown forecast next hour. All right. Perfect. Tracy, thank you so much for that update. We will see you in the next hour. Up next, President Trump and Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu agreed to step up pressure on Iran by targeting its oil exports to China, a move designed to cripple Tehran's revenue. As diplomacy and nuclear talks continue, what can we expect to see? We have expert announcements, analysis coming up next.
David Brody
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on a Monday. Happy President's. Oh, by the way, have you heard? President Trump is president Democrats. Welcome back to American Sunrise. All right. Over the weekend, Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered really a truly amazing address at the Munich Security Conference outlining what he called the future of America's foreign policy under the Trump administration got rave reviews. He warned against mass migration, criticized global free trade. He pushed back on the idea of a rules based world order, saying that the United States will prioritize national interests. Rubio also said while America is willing to act alone if necessary, it prefers to work with our European allies. In case you missed it, here's part of the speech where Rubio calls on our allies to be strong. Take a look. We want allies who can defend themselves so that no adversary will ever be tempted to test our collective strength. This is why we do not want our allies to be shackled by guilt and shame. We want allies who are proud of their culture and of their heritage, who understand that we are heirs to the same great and noble civilization and who together with us are willing and able to defend it. And this is why we do not want allies to rationalize the broken status quo rather than reckon with what is necessary to fix it. For we in America have no interest. And being polite and orderly caretakers of the West's managed decline. All right, let's bring in former assistant secretary of State and also a leading candidate to be Maine's next governor. That would be Bobby Charles with us. Bobby, tell you what, that speech by Rubio in Munich is getting a lot of praise. I'm curious to get your thoughts, because that was a fusion of foreign policy MAGA style.
Emily Finn
It was very persuasive. It was a defense of our Western values. And in a sense, it was trying to get them to absorb the concept of enlightened self interest, that we are better and stronger together and we are against real adversaries. And those adversaries, in all fairness, are essentially we're on a spiritual battlefield as well as being on a material battlefield. And what he's trying to say is get your better self in line, get your brain in the trim, get yourself focused on what matters in life and fight for it. And that, of course, is much of what I do up here in this election in Maine. I'm trying to wake people up so they understand that these values are worth fighting for. What Rubio did, in an expert and a really poignant way, is remind the Europeans that we have a common past. It is a proud past, and it was worth defending.
Tracy Anthony
You know, Robert, want to get your take on this as well? President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed this week to step up pressure on Iran by targeting its oil exports to China, which buy more than 80% of Iran's oil. The move is part of a broader maximum pressure campaign designed to cut off revenue and force Iran to make concessions, even as diplomacy continues amid renewed talks and military posturing in the region. Robert how do you see all of this playing out?
Emily Finn
I think Iran, I mean, many possible futures, but I think Iran is in deep trouble at home. Hundreds of thousands have poured out around the world. Hundreds of thousands are pouring out in defense of people's basic liberties. That is a country that just a couple of weeks ago killed more than 7,000 of its own people in order to hold on to power. It is a radical theocracy, a radical Muslim theocracy. It is an outlier in the world. And I guess what I would tell you is President Trump, President Netanyahu, the entire world is really forcing their hand right now. And one of the things that we often analogize international affairs or diplomacy and national security to a chess game. But I think what Donald Trump is doing expertly is he is moving multiple pieces on the chessboard at one time. We're talking nuclear, we're talking sanctions, we're talking oil, we're talking support for the indigenous uprising, we're talking allied strength unified against Iran. So I think Iran is in trouble. Whether this will be the inflection point that gives freedom back to those people, 85% of whom are really pro American at the root of it, we will see. But most importantly, they want their freedom and they want their government to stop killing them in the name of radical theology.
Dr. Gina
Well, we have President Trump saying that members of his newly created Board of Peace have promised more than $5 billion to help rebuild Gaza. Trump says the money and commitments of thousands of personnel for stabilization and police will officially be announced at the group's first meeting in Washington this week. Trump is calling for the effort Major. He's calling the effort a major international initiative. You have some pushing back, saying there are a lot of buried bodies under there. This is essentially a graveyard. What's your response? And we have 30 seconds.
Emily Finn
Nutshell version is it's a tough environment, but Donald Trump is thinking out of the box. He's doing things no one has ever done before, because everything that's been done up to this point in time has been utterly ineffective and allowed terrorists to continue. So he's saying that is the end of terrorist reign in Gaza. We're going to have to fix it. We'll do it together. Kind of a version of a Marshall Plan right now.
David Brody
Bobby, I know we were talking international today. 10 seconds. Where people can go to get more information about what you're doing up in Maine. Where do they go?
Emily Finn
I am about to turn this state red, and that is going to fundamentally put an example on the board. Bobbyformain.com. that's where we need to go to get this state back to logic and good principle and moral compass.
David Brody
Sounds good. We'll deep dive next time on it. Thanks, Bobby. Appreciate it.
Emily Finn
Thank you.
David Brody
All right. Coming up, could watching less tv, except for this show, of course, lead to a reduced risk for depression? We have some fascinating new data. That's next on American Summarized.
Dr. Gina
All right, there we are, New Orleans. Why does it always look like it's raining when we're in New Orleans? Does it rain a lot in the mornings there? Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. Gina. Thank you so much for joining us. It is time now for today's health news sponsored by the wellness company under the Microscope. Today, the link between watching TV and depression. A new study shows that cutting just one hour of TV a day and using that time for something more active, might I suggest going outside can lower your risk of depression. Researchers followed more than 65,000 adults over four years and found that replacing an hour of TV with physical activity or other movement reduced the risk of developing major depression by about 11% with even stronger benefits, nearly 19% for middle aged adults. Experts say this simple lifestyle change, less passive screen time and more active time could help improve mental health for many people. And with Lent quickly approaching, for Catholics and others who like to observe Lent, this is something you could do. Just give up one hour of TV a day. It's a thought. It's a thought. Or read your Bible more. Either one, I think, causes a lot less depression. February is National Cancer Prevention Awareness Month. Now more than ever, you want to be asking what you can do to lower your chances of cancer. And if you or a loved one is battling cancer, you want to make sure no stone is left unturned in that effort to stay healthy. So that's where the Wellness Company comes in. That's TWC Health Rav. That'll save you 10%. Prepare now. Don't wait, you guys. David Brody, Dee bro. One hour less of tv. One hour that's all we're asking from you. Starting Wednesday. Wednesday's Lynch. Do you observe Lent?
David Brody
I don't. Is that bad?
Dr. Gina
I don't either, but I always mean to. Yeah, it's not give something up or create something good in your life, you know, it's just. It's a chance to make a change and honor God. And I always think it's good. But one less hour.
David Brody
No, that is good. Yeah. No, the philosophy is good. Yeah. No, for sure. Maybe I'll give up watching air checks of myself. I don't know. I'll figure it out.
Dr. Gina
Well, that would be good, because then I could have more.
David Brody
Good point. All right, all right. But on a serious note, we got to talk about this Nancy Guthrie investigation. So. So today's show host Savannah Guthrie has released another video on social media. She did it last night with a message to whoever took her mom saying it's never too late to do the right thing. Here's what she said. Have a look.
Dr. Gina
I wanted to come on, and it's been two weeks and since our mom was taken, and I just wanted to come on and say that we still have hope and we still believe. And I wanted to say to whoever has her or knows where she is, that it's never too late, and you're not lost or alone, and it is never too late to do the right thing.
David Brody
That is so hard to watch. You know, we think of Savannah Guthrie, the Today show, making millions. Oh, she's got the life. It's about her mom. That's all that matters. It's about her mom. Let's bring in retired NYPD detective, co host of the Gold Shields podcast, Tom Smith, who's with us.
Emily Finn
Tom?
David Brody
All right, so there's a black glove that was found near Nancy Guthrie's home. It's believed to contain DNA evidence that appears to match the gloves worn by the suspect seen in that doorbell camera video. But, Tom, this investigation's going on three weeks now. I don't know. Am I. Am I missing something? Why is it taking so long, or is this normal in an investigation? It doesn't feel normal at all to me. But then what do I know? What do you? Tell me what you know. Well, this is a very complex case with a lot of moving parts, and it can take long. You know, they're meticulously going through every single thing. Believe me, there is not a detective or investigator or agent that's sleeping, that's going home, that doesn't want this solved. And they're doing everything possible every minute to try to get there, but sometimes it takes a long time. The coburger case took 47 days to get him. But we also don't know what exactly is going on behind the scenes. There may be a number of viable leads that they're running down that they're not going to let out to the public, and for good reason. I think, you know, whoever is responsible for this is watching the news and getting their updates on there. So you want to prevent anything from leaking to the press that might impede a lead or something or an operation going forward.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, I just can't bear the thought of how they feel. But I also. I just want to mention because I think it's really significant that another mom sits in a prison cell today. 500 days Tina Peters has spent in prison, and I feel like we're hearing a little bit less about that these days. And so I just wanted to acknowledge that. But I also wanted to ask you, Detective, with all these tips that they're getting, who follows? What is that? Take us behind the scenes and give us a look at, like, who follows up on the tips. Does that take from the force that's out there in the field looking? Do they have volunteer teams that come in and do this? Just give us a behind the scenes of what we don't know.
David Brody
Yeah, sure. Like in New York, we had a joint operations command where everyone would set up. Then you have teams that are broken.
Emily Finn
To do specific tasks.
David Brody
So you may have one team doing license plate readers, one team doing surveillance, one team doing leads. So that's how it's broken down. And the leads that come in have to be verified or corroborated with something else. It has to be viable for them to really take it and run with it. But you also don't want to take any of them for granted. So you. You're playing a fine line with leads that come in. And they had over 30,000 leads. So you can imagine the manpower that's going into this and the hours that are going into this, but they try to run down every lead because you don't know. But that's how it's done. It's just broken down into teams, and each team has a specific tasking to do. So not everyone is jumbled together to just run leads down and then get taken off of something else. Tom, before we let you go, we heard the sheriff over the weekend say this could take, you know, hours, days. Then he started saying months or years. Years. I mean, what am I missing? I just feel like something's not adding up. And I can't put my finger on it. Well, first of all, I am not these days taken a lot by what he's saying. You know, he's been all over the map with information that's going out there. And the number one thing you don't want to do is project something is going to take a year. I mean, that's, that's the wrong message to send out to the family, to investigators, to the press.
Emily Finn
That's just the wrong message.
David Brody
The right message is they are doing everything possible to run this down and to find this woman and hopefully get the people that are responsible for it.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah.
Dr. Gina
Retired NYPD detective Tom Smith. We appreciate you being here, appreciate your expertise and you're sharing it with us. Thank you.
David Brody
Thanks, thanks for having me again.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, you know, rev up those social media accounts and let's, let's get tina peters released. 500 days is too long for this gold star mom. Coming up, California Governor Gavin Newsom is at it again, slamming law enforcement and making outrageous statements. We have his latest comments next here on American Sunrise.
Tracy Anthony
Welcome back. Coffee pods are easy, but most of them are just caffeine and nothing else. Rejuvenate pods are built differently. They're clean pods infused with caakg, a compound linked to longevity, metabolism and deep cellular energy. It's the easiest way to get better focus, smoother energy and long term benefits without changing your routine. I choose them because they match the lifestyle. I want more energy, more clarity and more intention in how I start my day. If you're going to drink coffee anyway, make it one that actually supports the life that you're building. Head to 1775 Coffee.com Rav and try rejuvenate pods today. Don't just drink coffee, rejuvenate. Alright. Now that we're caffeinated, it's time to, to stay awake, not woke. And who is woke today? California Governor Gavin Newsom, who made this comparison for the Trump administration's use of law enforcement. Take a look.
David Brody
But I want to remember all those images of masked men, the secret police, something familiar in Germany. Those first images came out of my state, the second largest city in the United States of America. We saw 4,000 National Guard federalized, first time. We'd never seen anything like this. And 700 active duty Marines sent not overseas but to the second largest city in the United States of America, militarizing the streets of my city. Masked men, masked men showing up unaccountable.
Tracy Anthony
Let's bring in Dr. Gina and David for more. Gina, I Want to get your take on all of this? I know the two of us both lived in California for a little while, and we both saw firsthand that Gavin Newsom's leadership destroyed the state. The president had to come in and do something, or else we wouldn't even have a Los Angeles anymore.
Dr. Gina
Well, look, Governor Brown did a good job destroying the state, too, and Newsom just picked up the mantle where he left off, pretty much. But, no, you're exactly right. I mean, the Democrat Party has become the party of lawlessness, and there's no finer example of that than California, and there's no finer example of that than Los Angeles. So by the grace of God, President Trump wants to clean it up. You know, I say just let the Democrats proceed with their campaign topic of utter lawlessness, and let's see how that works out for the residents of la. David?
David Brody
Yeah, it's a good campaign strategy, for sure. Can we be clear? About what? The clip we just showed. Okay. He was talking about ice. You know, we said law enforcement ice. Right. But where did he do it? He did it over the weekend in Munich, Germany. Munich, Germany, is the birthplace of Nazism, and he's comparing our patriotic ICE officers to Nazis. Secret police. That's what he said. The secret police, I should say. So, look, I got a few problems with that. I don't know about you all, but I got a few problems with the fact that, A, he said it, and B, where he said it, or that he.
Dr. Gina
I'm sorry, David.
David Brody
Or that he said in a foreign country.
Dr. Gina
That he said it in a foreign country at all is demeaning just to our country. Right. I mean, why would you say that in a foreign country at all? Like, if you're going to be making a speech on domestic policy, make it.
David Brody
Here, you know, 100%. And this is Gavin Newsom's ultimate problem when he runs for president, because we all know he's going to, which is that he's going to be liberal, then he's going to be moderate, then he's going to be liberal, then he's going to be a little bit more conservative, then he's going to invite a conservative on his podcast, then he's gonna be liberal, and my head's gonna be spinning by the end of all of that. And that's kind of the point, right? He wants people's heads to spin to the point where he becomes a little bit more like an amoeba and he becomes a little bit more stealth, which, you know, won't fool maga, clearly, but maga's not gonna vote for him, so he doesn't give a crap. What he cares about is the independents in the middle that are not paying attention. And that's the key. So look, I mean, he's articulate, he's good looking guy who uses a lot of hairspray. And at that point, maybe that gets you elected President of the United States. I don't know. Because there is a lot of folks out there, not maga. There's a lot of folks out there that don't pay attention to politics, that don't pay attention to the issues and could be fooled. Like someone like Gavin Newsom.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, you've got like some sports stars and stuff rumbling about running, too. Emily, what do you think? You think Gavin walks away with it?
Tracy Anthony
Certainly not. I think that now, in the age of social media, of the Internet, you just have to play a couple clips of him from not even that long ago, just from a few years ago. I think about the French Laundry scandal, for example, and it's like, no one's gonna be able to trust this guy if he actually does decide to throw his hat in the ring to run for president. But somebody explained to me what the governor of California is doing in Munich, Germany, in the first place. I mean, I've been seeing him pop up at all of these international events, international things. If I was a resident of California, I would be like, can you come back home and work on our problems here? I mean, you're not going to get anything achieved in Munich, Germany, for the people of California.
David Brody
He's running for president and AOC was there. Why is AOC there? She's thinking about running for president. Gretchen Whitmer. Why was she there? We'll play them later in the.
Dr. Gina
Will you go to Germany now to run for president in the United States?
David Brody
Yes. The Munich conference is a big stop on the international tour to say, hey, I'm serious when it comes to foreign policy.
Tracy Anthony
Right after Iowa.
David Brody
Exactly. Yeah, but it's half.
Dr. Gina
It's a reality because, David, I'd like to pick on you. I just want to challenge one thing you said. And Emily, I just want to ask you this. Gavin Newsom is not that good looking, in my opinion. I'm sorry. I mean, you know, I don't know. What do I know? But Emily, I don't.
Tracy Anthony
He's got great hair. He's got great hair. You can't take that away from him. As long as he didn't speak. He'd be good looking if you just put duct tape over his mouth. He's good looking because the moment he starts talking, it's like, okay, nope, you're not good looking.
Dr. Gina
He's a little skinny and hair looks greasy. And I just, I've never thought of his. Everyone says he's good looking, so I guess I'm wrong.
Tracy Anthony
Look, I wish I had hair like Gavin Newsom. I could never, like, make it look that good.
David Brody
We need to dissect Gavin Newsom's looks in a separate segment, I feel like. And we need a franchise. That's what we need to do.
Tracy Anthony
All right, well, coming up, Coming up, nothing about Gavin Newsom's hair, but about faith in the music industry. How is Jonathan Cain of the hit band Journey using his religion in his art? We ask him next on American Sunrise.
David Brody
God bless the youth. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
Dr. Gina
Oh, my goodness. I'm so excited for this next block. Welcome back to American Sunrise. It is time for our moment of faith. It is brought to us by the Lee Greenwood folks and the people at God Bless the USA Bible in focus today, legendary rocker and Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain sharing his music, his faith and his ministry. He has released a new faith inspired solo single, Only a Prayer Away, with a six song EP scheduled for release in February. Later February, he and Journey are set to kick off a final frontier tour on February 28th. King continues to combine his legendary music career with face ministry and media projects. Oh, my goodness. Okay, so excited to have you on. Let's just start right here. Orient our audience, if you will. Jonathan, tell us some of the best songs. Don't stop believing. I know faithfully. What else?
David Brody
Well, there was open arms. Open arms. Let's pray now, Separate ways.
Dr. Gina
Oh, my goodness.
David Brody
Send her my love. Stone in love. We had a single called after all these years and there's about a hundred other songs that since 1981. I've been in the band for 45 years and I've been blessed to, to be the voice and some of the most of the lyrics of, of that era, you know, and so to go into the Rock and Roll hall of Fame was really an honor and we waited 35 years for that one.
Dr. Gina
You shouldn't have had to wait.
David Brody
I know Julie still doesn't own a Grammy, so that tells you what that's worth. You know, we're finding out awards aren't all that much, you know, so. But the greatest reward is God's love and, you know, his blessings. And I think that's why I moved into this space about 10 years ago when my Wife Paula, who's a faith advisor to the president, senior faith advisor of the faith office to President Trump. And she asked me if I would go on a cruise ship with 200 women and lead worship. And I had nothing to do that week. So I joined them and had a spiritual experience. It was an anointing, and God just said, keep going. And so I did. And I thought, what better way to thank him for all the blessings in my life?
Dr. Gina
That's really amazing. And what a great story. And tell us, too. So you have this new release coming out. Where can people hear you perform? Because that's something that's always a little bit hard to figure out. Like, the websites have made it really confusing. Now they grab you and take you to something else when you try to look up where your favorite performers are performing.
David Brody
Well, you know, right now I'm focusing on Journey. I have played in various churches. We're going to start. I'm doing my farewell tour. Actually, this will be my last two years in the band, and I'm going to focus more on ministry things with Paula. And, you know, so at this point, probably in the summer, I'll be doing some dates, and we're going to work on the website and, you know, spend kind of a hit or miss. But I've been making these albums for 10 years, you know, and they're on Spotify, they're on itunes, any of your music outlets. And so. And I'll be, you know, dropping videos here and there and of course, you know, praying for the Journey fans out there. They've been very supportive, you know, with the music and, you know, only a prayer away was. Was just something that I saw late, Late night television. Pastor Greg Laurie was actually doing one of his evangelistic moments, and he said, you know, the Lord's only a prayer way. And I thought, that's a song. And so I saw him in National Day of Prayer, and I showed him a lyric I had written, and he said, well, carry on. And so I did. And now he's using it to evangelize on his show and his radio show. And it's really great to sort of dovetail into a ministry and lead people to the Lord.
Dr. Gina
I love it. I love it. Replace all of the godless music out there for us if you would, Jonathan. It's a small charge, but I'm ready to see it happen. I've seen you perform here at Mar a Lago. You do just a fantastic job. So if anybody has a chance to go see you download your music, all the rest of it. Support the cause because this is our replacement economy, I like to call it. Thank you so much for being with us and sharing. Thank you for having me about what you're doing.
David Brody
Thank you.
Emily Finn
All right. God bless you.
Dr. Gina
All right. Back with the second hour of American Sunrise. Two minutes. You guys stay with us. Coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise, Secretary of State Marco Rubio pushes for a new global order in Europe, urging allies to partner with the Trump administration on sovereignty, military strength and re industrialization. We're going to have reaction on that straight ahead. Plus, a stunning reversal from the federal bench. An Obama appointed judge says the administration must remedy the wrong and fly deported migrants back to America. We're going to talk about that later on. Also ahead, AOC and Michigan Governor Whitmer call out Trump on the global stage accusing his administration of undermining allies and pushing authoritarian policies. We're going to have those details later in the hour. These stories, so much more as a second hour of American Sunrise starts right now.
David Brody
Good morning America.
Dr.
Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina.
David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G and Emily Finn who is in for T. Bates this morning on this President's Day. Good morning. It's President's Day. What are you doing? What big plans do you have? Womp.
Emily Finn
Womp.
Dr. Gina
My big plans are to actually get a parking place because no one's here today. It's so great. You pull in. I'm like, wait, did the rapture happen? And I miss. That's what I always think happened. Is that what you think when you walk in your house and you can't find anyone? I'm always like, oh, they were all raptured and I got left behind.
David Brody
Yeah. And then I think I'm screwed at that point.
Dr. Gina
Oh, my goodness.
David Brody
It's true. Emily, what are your plans? I mean, clearly you have big plans for President's Day. Isn't this what you look forward to all year long?
Tracy Anthony
I do look forward to this day. You know, woke up a little extra early than I would have normally planned. But I am just happy, Gina, that there are no iguanas that I'M walking over on my way into work. It has warmed up quite a bit down here in West Palm. So who knows, maybe there's some beaching later today in my plants.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. And my, my big, you guys will be thrilled to know my great big orange and pink and red iguana that sits out on my seawall every day. He made it through. I never could find him. I went looking for him just to make sure. He's, I mean, he's like a hundred years. This thing is a dinosaur. He's literally like four or five feet long.
Tracy Anthony
Oh, he's seen some colds in years past. All right. Well, let's bring in Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony for today's forecast. Be sure to scan the QR code on the screen to join our friends at Weather Nation. Tracy, talking about iguanas here getting a little warm and cold. What is in the hometown forecast for this morning? Any, any iguanas in that forecast? You know, no iguanas, but, you know, I have a little gopher turtle that lives right by me and that gopher turtle did make it through the cold spell as well. But for this week, we're going to.
Dr. Gina
Take you out west areas like Las.
Tracy Anthony
Vegas, thanks to Roddy Mama on getter. So, Roddy mom, you are going to.
Dr. Gina
Have to deal with some rain today.
Tracy Anthony
Scattered rain around the Vegas metro area and it could have another round of rain come Wednesday.
Dr. Gina
So this is that activity that we.
Tracy Anthony
Have that's working in across the western.
Dr. Gina
US So I want to take you.
David Brody
Out to Lake of the Woods, California as well.
Tracy Anthony
This from low Jill on Gitter, you're.
Dr. Gina
Going to have a mix of rain and snow.
Tracy Anthony
So by midweek, those temperatures are going to cool down and you're expecting to.
Dr. Gina
Pick up up to about a foot.
Tracy Anthony
Of snow by Wednesday or Thursday. Then we'll finally clear out for the.
David Brody
End of the week.
Tracy Anthony
But one other area that's going to be talking or in the weather headlines, I should say here for the start of the week, Wichita, Kansas. So this from our friend on Rumble Brensno, 73 degrees today, 74 tomorrow. We have the potential to set records. Areas of Kansas, though also under that fire danger. So this is where it's going to be dry. It's warm and it's going to be extremely windy. We're under high wind warnings today and tomorrow and those winds could be gusting up to 50 miles per hour. So if we take a look on Viper radar, notice the rest of the nation relatively calm and quiet, but, but it's out across the Southwest in California where we've got that moisture starting to push on shore. So that is where we're going to.
Dr. Gina
Have the big weather headlines, Emily, here for the week.
Tracy Anthony
But hey, Florida, we're not going to.
Dr. Gina
Have those falling iguanas.
Tracy Anthony
So I know we're all pretty happy about that.
Dr. Gina
I know my turtle, he's pretty happy.
David Brody
About that as well.
Dr. Gina
I named him Kenny.
David Brody
He lives under our AC unit outside.
Tracy Anthony
So cute. All right, well, glad that Kenny made it through all the cold weather and things. Thank you so much for that update all throughout the country, Tracy, appreciate you. All right, let's get you over to David Brody for more.
David Brody
All right, Emily, thank you. From Kenny the turtle to Marco Rubio, the secretary of State, because he delivered a major address at the Munich Security Conference over the weekend, calling on European allies to partner with the Trump administration to refashion the global order. That's an actual quote. Rubio stressed the need for sovereignty re industrialization and military strength while attempting to soothe tensions over past controversies, including the administration's call to annex Greenland and criticisms of Europe. Here was the secretary of State pushing what he calls, quote, a new Western century. Have a look. Together we can re industrialize our economies and rebuild our capacity to defend our people. But the work of this new alliance should not be focused just on military cooperation and reclaiming the industries of of the past. It should also be focused on together advancing our mutual interests and new frontiers, unshackling our ingenuity, our creativity and the dynamic spirit to build a new Western century. Commercial space travel and cutting edge artificial intelligence. Industrial automation and flex manufacturing. Creating a Western supply chain for critical minerals not vulnerable to extortion from other powers and a unified effort to compete for market share in the economies of the Global South. Together, we can not only take back control of our own industries and supply chains, we can prosper in the areas that will define the 21st century. All right. Joining us now with reaction is RAV chief White House correspondent Brian Glenn. Brian, I'm very curious to get your thoughts on what we heard from Rubio. Look, here are a couple of my thoughts. I like how I ask you about your thoughts and then I go ahead and talk about my thoughts. But here's the thing. Rubio was this tea party guy back in the day. Then he kind of got into the neocon lane and now he's in the MAGA lane. It's just fascinating to me how he's kind of tried to fuse MAGA foreign policy. A little of the neocon stuff, but not the George W. Bush neocon. It's a different foreign policy. I don't know. To me it's all very interesting and honestly all I can think about is J.D. vance and Marco Rubio in 2028 and what that is going to be like because I know he says he's not running, I know he says he's not running. I don't believe it. I think that Trump, if Trump endorses Rubio, could you imagine if Trump endorsed Rubio? That changes everything. Anyhow, I'm getting ahead of myself. Hello, Good morning. What do you think? Hello, Good morning.
Emily Finn
No, you're absolutely right. But it did have a difficulty, different tone to it this mind.
David Brody
Yes.
Emily Finn
This time last year JD Vance went a guns a blazing at this very conference and got a lot of pushback from Europe. So I can appreciate him changing his tone slightly, wanting to bring more of a bridge to Europe, to the Western hemisphere here.
David Brody
But at the same time he was pretty strong when it turns in terms of security and, and really pushed Europe to be able to stand alone on.
Emily Finn
That and not necessarily rely on the US security forces to protect them.
David Brody
And he said we are all stronger.
Emily Finn
Together but Europe needs to make sure.
David Brody
They can stand on their own two feet.
Emily Finn
So with that said, but I will say this, David. I think it's pretty ironic right now.
David Brody
That we're experiencing a partial government shutdown.
Emily Finn
That affects Department of Homeland Security. But we have people like AOC and other elected officials in Congress and Senate.
David Brody
Guess what, they're all in Munich.
Emily Finn
Which I think is pretty ironic right now considering Coast Guard is not being funded, Secret Service is not being funded and many other parts of Homeland Security. But I digress.
Tracy Anthony
You know Brian, at least 19 Christians have been killed during Iran's anti government demonstrations. This all comes as the Islamist regime in Tehran continues its brutal crackdown on anti government voices in the country. The Trump administration is still weighing its response as more military vessels close in on the country. What more can you tell us about all of this?
Emily Finn
Yeah, this is interesting. You know, for one thing the US has told Iran to not sell oil to China, which makes up about 80% of their revenue in terms of oil. So they've got that, that sanction in place or at least that request in place. They have other sanctions on, on Iran as well as where they, who they can do business with. Now you have this buildup of military in that region and some experts say we're on really the, the expectations of.
David Brody
A weeks long type of conflict with Iran.
Emily Finn
We'll see what happens.
David Brody
There. So, so now you go to the.
Emily Finn
Violence that's happening towards the Iranian people.
David Brody
And Christians in that country.
Emily Finn
And I just read a report right.
David Brody
Before we came on about 19 total Christians, Iranian Christians have been killed by.
Emily Finn
The hands of the Iranian military and the government there. So it tends to be just a bloody escalation.
David Brody
President Trump has said numerous times that.
Emily Finn
If that did not stop or if it was to continue, continue to get worse, that he would indeed use an option from a military standpoint to go in and make them essentially pay for what they're doing to the Iranian people. So I think this thing builds up. I don't think we're looking at a midnight hammer scenario, EMILY I really don't. There's no in and out. You don't move that many assets to the region and you don't have various reports, reports come out and say that we're looking at potential weeks engagement with Iran. So does it happen today, does it happen tomorrow? I don't know. But certainly things are not good in Iran.
Dr. Gina
Brian Day 500 Tina Peters, Gold Star mom wrongly imprisoned in the first place by anything that I can tell, not a lawyer or judge, but anything that I can tell and for trying to just, just get to the bottom of votes in an election. BRIAN it doesn't seem like I'm hearing a lot about this from Capitol Hill. It seems like it's kind of off the table. What do you it needs to be on the table.
Emily Finn
Yeah, yeah, I'm mad at this.
David Brody
And let me tell you something.
Emily Finn
If we can go and free all these other prisoners around the world, if.
David Brody
We can do all these other miracle things, which are good things, I'm not.
Emily Finn
Criticizing them, but you've got Tina Peters.
David Brody
Who put her butt on the line in the 2020 election to expose all of the fraud that was happening.
Emily Finn
And all of a sudden now she's.
David Brody
Thrown in jail, they can do what's called a prisoner exchange. They can move her to another federal, she can move her to a federal prison perhaps in Virginia, where at that point she would be on some type.
Emily Finn
Of release program, a home release program.
David Brody
Something to free her up because.
Emily Finn
Right.
David Brody
Quite frankly, she is going to die.
Emily Finn
In prison if something doesn't happen right now.
Dr. Gina
Dr. Gina yes, she has cancer and it is a very serious thing.
David Brody
Thing.
Dr. Gina
BRIAN Glenn, thank you so much for being with us.
David Brody
Thank you.
Emily Finn
Thank you.
David Brody
Thanks. Thanks, Brian. All right. Coming up, a federal judge says deported Venezuelan nationals must brought, must be brought back to the U.S. while the ruling is sparking outrage and what it means for the president's crackdown on illegal immigration. Well, that's next.
Tracy Anthony
Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily Finn. Time now to drain the swamp. And this morning we are once again fleshing out D.C. district Court Judge James Boasberg. The Obama appointed judge ordered the Trump administration over the weekend to bring back deported Venezuelan nationals suspected of ties to the violent trende Aragua. Judge Boasberg ruled that the administration must remedy the wrong of those deportations, even ordering the government to pay for their return travel, though the migrants would be taken into custody upon arrival. The decision stems from the administration's use of the 1798 Alien Enemies act in its crackdown on Venezuelan migrants linked to trend Aragua, a policy defended by President Trump but blocked multiple times in court. For more, let's bring in David Brody and Gina. Gina, wanna get your take on all of this? I think anything related to trend day Aragua needs to get out.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, to say the least, Emily. I mean, you can't make this stuff up, right? Like, this is the kind of stuff that you think, surely the Democrats aren't this off, but they are. They never cease to amaze me, David, with the ridiculously radical. Antithetical to anything in the American conscience, by the way. So, you know, honestly, I keep looking at the midterms thinking this is. This midterms belongs to the Republicans. It is theirs to lose. And I do feel like the Republicans are doing a lot to mess it up too, frankly. Or not. Claiming narratives that they could. But David, this is unbelievable. If the average voter actually finds out about it.
David Brody
No doubt. And they're not going to. And you know why? Because the Republicans, they cry out and they say, oh, Boasberg is horrible. Yeah, he should be impeached.
Emily Finn
Womp, womp.
David Brody
They do nothing. They do absolutely nothing. This is a judge who should be impeached. Now granted the trial. If he was ever impeached in the House, it would go to the Senate and he wouldn't be convicted. So he's going to stay as judge, but they've got to do something with the judge, you know, like, can I dare I use a little bit of a Yiddish phrase here. Boasberg has been a pain in the tuchus and it really is sad that no one is doing anything. Look, here's the situation, guys. Ladies, excuse me. I want to get my gender correct. But look, here's the problem with Boasberg. He's literally saying that not only does the government have to take back these Venezuelan nationals, but by the way, the taxpayer, you, you've got to fund and pay for their flight back to the United States. Is this madness or what? Now I have to take a sedative pill, and I don't like taking sedative pills so early in the morning. I mean, oh, I'm not off to a good start.
Tracy Anthony
It absolutely is madness. And then think about it. The taxpayer money is going to have to pay to keep them in custody, to house them, to figure out what the next step in the process is going to be. It is an absolute disgrace.
Dr. Gina
Gina, return them. I mean, literally, I've heard everything now. I'm sorry. I shouldn't be laughing because it's really not funny. It's just so overwhelmingly stupid and ridiculous that you. It just makes me laugh. I don't know.
David Brody
Put him in first class. Why not? You know what? At this point, put him in first class with Chris Van Hollen. Get him a daiquiri. I don't know. This is ridiculous.
Tracy Anthony
Send them all to Chicago. They'll have places to live. They'll have free health care. They'll have credit cards to be able to go spend money on. It's just, it's absolute madness.
David Brody
Send them to Jacob Fry's house in Minnesota.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, that's the thing. If Boseberg wants to bring it back, then Boseberg should get to house them all at his house.
David Brody
Yeah.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah. Craziness. Craziness. All right. Coming up on American Sunrise. The hidden connection between just okay sleep and those late night painkillers or frequent chiropractor visits. Is your bed the real problem? Stay with us. We have the answer.
Emily Finn
At Real America's Voice. We know that you want to be.
David Brody
A part of something bigger.
Emily Finn
That's why we've teamed up with amac.
David Brody
The association of Mature American Citizens, to.
Emily Finn

Scan the QR code Now. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. By the way, no Dow Jones this morning, no opening bell, none of the ding, ding, ding, because it is President's Day. All right, you know, it's time to stop thinking about your mattress's furniture. You spent a third of your life on it. I mean, that makes it one of the most important pieces of health equipment that you own. Think of it like that. Most people don't think about their mattress until pain, of course, forces them to. And today we're talking about why. Just. Okay. Sleep may actually be driving your frequent chiropractor visits or, I don't know, taking Tylenol ibuprofen before bed, hoping to sleep better or wake up with less pain and stiffness. So join us now with Moore is the CEO and founder of Ghostbed. That would be Mark Werner, back with us on the show. Mark, great to see you, Boy. I tell you what, I love the story, the backstory, if you will, of Ghostbed, because it didn't start as, like, a business idea. It really started as a personal health problem. So talk a little bit about that. And good morning to you.
Emily Finn
Good morning, David. Thanks for having Ghostbed. Well, I've had three neck surgeries, and that was very intrusive. And I couldn't find a pillow or mattress that worked for my person. And so I ended up inventing my own 25 years ago and started a family business with my wife. I'm fortunate to come from the Werner family, Werner ladder family, where my grandfather started that over 100 years ago, and my dad invented the aluminum ladder and the fiberglass ladder. And from working with him as a little kid and through the years in fiberglass, I learned how to really reposition polymers from a fiberglass ladder to a memory foam mattress. And that was kind of the genesis of our start of Ghostbed in the early days. And now we're a great American family business here in the United States.
David Brody
Yeah. Yeah, you sure are. So let me ask you, so if someone wakes up with, like, aches and pains every morning, how much of that could actually be their mattress? Kind of help us through that a little bit.
Emily Finn
Probably a lot has to do with the mattress. You know, if you're waking out in pain, you're getting kind of a health report card right away saying, not working and you probably need a new mattress. And our bodies are ever changing, and our mattresses do wear out over time, even though we have 20 and 25 year warranties. Just from a hygiene standpoint, we say you should replace your mattress every seven or eight years because you lose a pint of fluid every night, and that's going into the bed clothes, into the mattress, et cetera. But you get inflammation building up in your person. You're moving around. It's not the right type of mattress for you. So it's always a good health thing to get a new mattress. And so sleep and health is tightly related.
David Brody
What are you going to notice first with the mattress, like, in terms of the real change when you switch to Ghostbed? Help us through that a little bit so they can understand what they should be looking for, if you will.
Emily Finn
Well, it's just going to be immediate comfort and support. Now, I've read over 100,000 of our reviews on our platform, on Costco, on Amazon and Sam's Club. You know, big, large, independent platform, talking about the feedback from our customers. And the feedback's phenomenal. And people just really enjoy it immediately. Sometimes it takes a couple of days to break in, but they really enjoy it. They're sleeping better, they're happier campers, their back pain is going away, their shoulder pain is going away. It's just a constant repetition when I'm seeing these reviews and reaching out and talking to customers, what they're saying. So it really makes a difference.
David Brody
So let me ask you this a little bit. In terms of mattress shopping, can you kind of clue us in a little bit? Because people will go into a mattress discount store and, you know, check out this mattress, that mattress, and, you know, what's the checklist here? I mean, like, in other words, why ghostbed over some of these other mattress discount stores? And what's really the key difference here?
Emily Finn
Well, Ghostbed's all about quality, and that's been the origin of my family for over 100 years. You know, we're a quality organization. We make quality merchandise. We have lots of patents. I've got patents on cooling. I've got adjustable base patents. I've got all kinds of patents to make a better product. So we put more investment into the mattress so you get a better product. We're not marketing guys. We're product guys. And my competitors, although they make a good mattress, we make a better mattress that's also more affordable. So we're in that more affordable range of the purchase spectrum.
David Brody
Got it. Let's talk a little bit about side sleepers and back sleepers and firmness and all of that as it relates to what if you got, like, your wife is a certain type of sleeper, you're a different type of sleeper. One person likes it A little less firm or more firm, depending on the mattress. How do you kind of work through that? Because that seems tricky. Maybe I'm not getting that correct, but that just seems a little bit. Could be a potential problem.
Emily Finn
It is tricky and that's why we have leaned into and really pioneered what's called the split King adjustable. So that's two twin XL adjustable bases and then two individual mattresses so you and your partner can pick out which mattress you like. So say you like a firmer mattress, your wife wants a softer mattress, you want extra cooling, she wants medium cooling. And then with the adjustable like shown there in the video, the head goes up, the legs can go up. There's got massage for the head, massage for the legs, undercarriage lighting, all kinds of positions, zero gravity, anti snore, etc. So now you have individual comfort, which is the ultimate kind of lifestyle experience that more and more people are learning about and switching to every day. So both parties in the relationship can be very happy.
David Brody
Boy, you guys have thought of everything. I'm curious about people being obviously nervous to buy without trying it. How do you kind of, what do you tell folks like that?
Emily Finn
Well, you're making a big purchase, sight unseen. Durable. Good. So what we do is offer 101 night sleep trial, which means you can buy the mattress. You take Mark's quiz and kind of figure out what's the right mattress for your body type and patterns, etc. So we try to hone in on getting the right mattress. You get it delivered either white glove or through FedEx and set up, etc. And then if it's not working for you after over three months, you can return it. We'll pick it up, no cost, and either exchange it for something else or give you your money back. We want you to be happy. We have a very low return rate. So I think we do a pretty good job assigning the right type of, of sleep product to the individual sleeper. But that kind of takes the risk factor out of the equation. And then you also get to enjoy it in your own environment rather than 10, 15 seconds in a showroom where some guy's kind of looking over you and making you feel a little bit uncomfortable in a kind of a personal setting.
David Brody
That is actually a really good point. Yeah, I've been there, done that with that. By the way, where can people go to get more information if they want to check it out, buy and, and all that good stuff?
Emily Finn
Ghostbed.com rav get an extra 10% discount on our already good president day sales, which is actually today. So you really enjoy a great savings for all the RAV viewers.

Dr. Gina
Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. We are so happy you joined us this Monday morning. We invite you to hop in our conversation on YouTube, getter and rumble. It is time now to take the political pulse of America. Here is the beat. Today, a major development in the Epstein files saga. Attorney General Pam Bondi says every document required under the Epstein Files Transparency act has now been released. All of it, including a massive list of more than 300 high profile names. Bondi's letter to top lawmakers from chairman Chuck Grassley to ranking member Jamie Raskin lays out what the Department of Justice says is a complete and unredacted accounting of major related Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. The release covers everything from internal DOJ emails and investigative notes to civil settlements, immunity deals, networks tied to Epstein's finances, even documents about his detention and death. The DOJ insisted nothing was withheld to protect any political figures reputations and that any redactions were strictly to shield victims or active investigations. For more, let's bring in David Brody and Emily Finn. David, are there ongoing investigations? Because I'd like to know who's being investigated.
David Brody
No.
Dr. Gina
Well, then why redactions based on investigations if there are no investigations?
David Brody
And I think they're just trying to dot I's and Cross T's and not get sued. And I think that's really what it is. I mean, I'm assuming that. That I can't think of anything else. But you know what's kind of bizarre to me, I just really. Look, I want all the names out there. But when we say the names, what does that mean? What does that name it means? It means we want the creeps, right? We want the ones that are doing bad stuff. But what we got in this 300, we got a list of 300 kind of big names that were in there. You know who's on that list? Mike Huckabee's on that list. Really? Mike Huckabee, Epstein files. Sorry, doesn't compute. And you know why? Because he didn't do anything wrong. He was in there in some sort of email that had nothing to do with anything. You type in David Brody. Okay, Guess what? David Brody is in the Epstein files. Oh, come. It's not me. It's an actual lawyer named David Brody. But the point is, is that, you know, Mike Huckabee, Beyonce, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Jeffrey Epstein, you know, just go down. They're not all equal folks, you know, and so I just don't like the fact that like, you know, all of these names are now out there, you know, because there's just this implication for people that are just being lazy or just want to, you know, spin things the way they want to spin things. It's stupid, Emily.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah, I'll just say, you know, these lawmakers that are walking out of actually viewing the unredacted files, the one thing that is been consistent is they all look like they're about to throw up. They look sick to their stomach. And they have seen this information firsthand. And so hopefully the American people are able to see that information too. Because like you said, David, you know, Mike Huckabee and the Clintons both being in the Epstein files, I don't think that that is one and the same. I think that that is completely different and the real truth needs to get out there.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, but I also don't want people focusing on the names of the innocent that are in this file as if that negates the names of the guilty that are in this file. Because there is a sex slave ring that has exploited and it sounds like killed children. Especially if you watch some of those videos. And you're right, Emily, they are absolutely gut wrenching. I've never seen anything like it. I didn't know that was in the Epstein files. Call me naive. I didn't realize it, but it has substantiated very much of the so called conspiracies from the whole last decade. But here's the thing, we can say this is past tense. We can say that nobody should be punished as innocent. We all agree on that. But there's a lot of sex slavery still happening. There's Satanism happening in our country right now. That is an outgrowth of what happened in these files. And this has got to be stopped. It has got to be investigated, it has got to be punished to the full letter of the law or this sex slavery and human trafficking will only continue and proliferate. That's why this is so critical. I can't emphasize it enough. I think it's the issue of our decade changing gears now. God bless the USA by country music legend Lee Greenwood has become an iconic part of our culture. And now the goddess God bless the USA Bible. I've got one right here, is keeping the tradition going, passing down values of faith, freedom and responsibility to our children and grandchildren. Take a look.
David Brody
Introducing the limited edition God bless the USA Bible inspired by Lee Greenwood's patriotic anthem. But God bless the USA large print leather bound King James bible also contains contains America's founding documents, the U. S. Constitution, the bill of rights, the declaration of independence and the pledge of allegiance along with the handwritten chorus to Lee Greenwood's song God bless the USA order yours today at Godblessthouseabible.com joining us now.
Dr. Gina
With more is singer songwriter Lee Greenwood. Lee, love this, love you, love your family, your beautiful wife. And I can just say that this, this is just like the happiest story we get to do. And I'm just thinking with a lot of people thinking about Lent Catholics but I know a lot of Protestants that also engage in lent just betterment. Right? I mean really, because that's what it is. This is a great idea in terms of what we can do to recommit our lives to God. Reading through God bless the USA Bibles and it is life changing for those who are doing it. We just heard this week what's his name? I know you guys know who said that he has read through the Bible for the first time in his life and that he Tim Allen and he said that it has changed his life forever. Lee, tell us.
David Brody
It's really important. I think that we all realize that this country started with, with our faith and we're talking about faith, family and freedom here on President's Day. By the way, happy President's Day, Mr. Trump. Our president of the United States of America. God bless you for all the work you're doing. Our God Bless USA Bible is something I think that make a great gift here for Easter coming up. And as you notice, you put up that, that document there, me holding it, giving it to you, there is an important picture, I think. I'm so happy to be in New York right now and Happy Monday. But as we look forward to next week and the week after, as we move forward to bad news all around the world, what we need to do is focus on our God because this country would be nothing without our faith. And we have to continue to have faith, family and freedom together. And in this Bible you have the Declaration of Independence, of course you remember those people that put their lives on the, on the line for our country. And Ronald Reagan quoted the lyrics of my song in the 1988 RNC because he felt it was something the country needed. And now those lyrics are in this Bible. People get it now@godblessusabible.com Godblessusabible.com, it's the name of my song.com and I think it would really be important if you pick up a Bible, give it to somebody for Easter. It'd be a great gift.
Tracy Anthony
It is a great gift. And Lee, God Bless the USA is a generational anthem. I mean, it's not just nostalgic talk about why you believe that this song endures and the message that you hope that it spreads to all Americans today.
David Brody
You know, I put my heart in writing this song back in 1983. It was sort of a country song at first, but as it gained legs, as you, as you pointed out, it's multi generation. Grandparents pass it to their parents, the parents pass it to their kids. That's a version there with Home Free that we did in 2020 when nobody was working and it went viral. And that's because people have a need. They have a need for faith and they have a need for this Bible. Godblessusabible.com and we just had a new print of it. So please order it now because you can get it before Easter. Yeah. Hey, lee, the America 250, obviously coming up. It's a monumental milestone in our country. Sister, talk to us a little bit about how you say in that song you're proud to be an American. Tell us why. Why are you proud to be an American? I don't know if you know it or not. I was raised in California, in the capital, Sacramento. But my grandparents raised me when my father was in the Navy. My mother was playing in bars to make money for me and my sister and I saw early on when I was a drum major from a high school marching band and marching along the army and the Marines. I love the pageantry of it. And I recognize immediately when I started my USO shows that the sacrifice for the military is what keeps us free. We can never forget that. And to be proud to be an American, the most important thing I have is my citizenship and my passport, because we travel abroad an awful lot. And when you meet a new citizen who comes into this country and it takes seven years to learn how to be a citizen of the United States, guess what? They not only hear the national anthem, they hear my song, God Bless the usa, because it stands for who we are and what we are. I believe that's why President Trump uses it all the time when he walks on stage, because it makes him proud as well. And I'm proud of my association with our president. Wonderful.
Dr. Gina
You have performed for more USO shows than just about anybody who performs. And in fact, that's where you. Your beautiful wife, Kim, Why don't you tell us that story?
David Brody
Yeah, it's interesting enough. I was on Bob Hope's very last tour around the world, and we would have met in the Azore Islands because Kim was a performer in Europe, and they ended up in the Azore Islands. We were going to be an opening act for our entire entourage, and we missed them because we couldn't land. It would be a year before I'd meet Kim, and I had my own USO tour that I. That I went ahead and asked Ms. USA to join us. I didn't know that Ms. USA, Ms. Texas, knew Kim, who was Miss Tennessee at the time. And so I invited the girls to come and be on my show, and Kim and I fell in love on the tour. She had to finish college at utc. She was a double major, English and communications. In that picture, you see where we had hurricane relief at Texas A and M, and all five presidents, that's Clinton, Obama, Carter, and both Bush presidents, they were sitting in the front row. It was really interesting. Lady Gaga was on the show. I emceed the show along with Alabama. And to look at the five presidents sitting in the front row is just. It was pretty cool.
Dr. Gina
What a trip.
David Brody
Wow. Lee Greenwood, you are a national treasure, and we thank you so much. Our audience loves you. Thank you so much. Americans love you. God bless you. Have a great Monday. And happy President's Day to you, too.
Dr. Gina
And to Kim. Tell her hello from us.
David Brody
Absolutely. Thanks. All right. Hey, let's talk Medicare for a second because a lot of folks aren't getting the full story. Most Medicare agents push Medicare Advantage plans even when they're not right for you. Why exactly? Because that's where the money is for them. But seniors are paying the price and that's what makes chapter different. They walk you through original Medicare, Medigap, Medicare Advantage and Part D with the pros and the cons all laid out so you can make the right call for your health needs. Donna, as a matter of fact, said her chapter advisor walked her through every option, explained everything in a way that she could actually understand. Plus they saved her thousands of dollars. Now that's beautiful. If you're on Medicare or will be soon, here's what you do. You call 814 chapter to learn about employees enrollment options and find ways to save. It's free, it's quick. They can review your options like under 20 minutes. Most people wish they had called sooner, so please go ahead and do that today.

All right.

At the Munich Security Conference, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer took their criticism of the administration overseas, slamming President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio in front of America's allies. AOC warned that Trump's foreign policy is tearing apart the transatlantic partnership, while Whitmer stood by, echoing concerns about what they call a growing era of authoritarianism and nationalist posturing on the global stage. Governor Whitmer's response to a basic foreign policy question also raised some eyebrows. Take a look at this on Ukraine.
Dr. Gina
What does victory look like? Ambassador?
Emily Finn
No, please.
David Brody
I'd love to hear your answer.
Dr. Gina
It is the two that I am on the panel with are much more steeped in foreign policy than a governor is. But I do think that Ukraine's independence, keeping their land mass and having the support of all the allies, I think is the goal from my vantage point.
David Brody
Go ahead, Ambassador. Do a better job.
Tracy Anthony
And not to be outdone, AOC also put her foot in her mouth after she was asked if the US should defend Taiwan in the events of an invasion from mainland China. Take a look at this moment.
David Brody
Would and should the US Actually commit US Troops to defend Taiwan if China were to move?
Dr. Gina
You know, I think that this is such a, you know, I think that this is a, this is, of course, a very long standing policy of the United States. And I think what we are hoping for is that we want to make sure that we never get to that point.
Tracy Anthony
We want to know what you, our viewers, think about all of this. Let us know on Rumble or Getter. Hop on and let your voice be heard. Still to come on American Sunrise. Dr. Gina is standing by with the top story that she's following today. The one to watch is next on American Sunrise. Stay with us.
Emily Finn
All right.
Dr. Gina
Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us today. It is time now for the one to Watch. Here's what I'm keeping my eye on today. The Tim Tebow Foundation's Night to Shine prom returned this past weekend in a big way, celebrating individuals with special needs in communities across the globe. This is now in its 12th year. The night to Shine movement lit up more than 975 churches in all 50 states across the United States, 74 countries giving honored guests a recipe carpet experience, complete with dancing, dinner, crowning ceremonies and more, reminding everyone that they are loved, valued and celebrated. From Shreveport, Louisiana to Jacksonville, Florida, Meridian to Visalia, local communities join the global celebration. Helping people with special needs walk the red carpet, enjoy music, food and friends and just pure fun, all centered on God's love. I had an amazing time with my Samuel this weekend. He was being crowned as an honored guest because everyone is. There's Sam and his friend Gabby and my husband and I went. Producer Jason joined us a little later on. There's Sammy and his crown, but everyone got a crown. Everyone got to be an honored guest. They all got to work, rock the red carpet and it was great fun had by all and so I wish David and Emily, this was my first time participating in this Tim Tebow night to shine. That's Sam and his friend Gabby. That's Sammy's new book, How Sammy Sees the World. And that is illustrated, of course, by the guy from Veggie Tales, Mike Sofka, amazing illustrator that Sam and Lily and I did as a project altogether. But he got to present that to some of the attendees. And it was really just a beautiful night for everybody to do exactly what Tim Tebow said. Shine from the light that's inside. And Tim Tebow and his beautiful wife did an amazing job putting it all together at the end during the crowning ceremony, explaining who the real king of kings is and why. Everyone at this event is an absolute king and queen.
David Brody
And we are all here on this earth for a purpose in all different ways. And it's just. I have to tell you, I'm looking at the video. It's getting me emotional. I mean, Gina, what was it like for you, for Sammy? I mean, tell me a little bit about that. It must have been quite a night. Obviously.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah.
Dr. Gina
I don't know if they have the picture with my husband and I, but if they can put that up. But I'll tell you what, we were both fighting tears the whole entire night just to watch these folks, you know, being there, enjoying themselves. They had hair and makeup for the women, Emily, you know, that would be important. And they danced, and they all really. You know, you hate to generalize about people in general, but there's something about people with disabilities that really do love to dance.
Tracy Anthony
I think it's awesome. Congratulations to Sammy. I love seeing these pictures of you with him, Gina. What a beautiful night for him to be honored like that. And I'm going to have to get his book. I think that is super cool that he was able to bring that to this event as well.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. Thank you so much. Thank you so much. And I wish you had the picture with my husband, because my husband has been such truly instrumental in activism and in presenting legislation and fighting for things for people with disabilities. And Sammy has just been a beautiful reflection of the Holy Spirit in our lives. So it was really nice to share that with the. His other friends and their families, too. So anyway, thank you guys for letting us feature that today. War Room is up next. Hug your children. Love God. Go boldly now. Let's make this a great week.
David Brody
Let's do it.
Dr. Gina
Let's do it.
David Brody
We got this.
Dr. Gina
Happy President's Day, everybody.
David Brody
God's got this.
Dr. Gina
This is an I Heart podcast. Guaranteed human.
Podcast Hosts: Dr. Gina, David Brody, Emily Finn, Tracy Anthony
Air Date: February 16, 2026
Episode Theme: Major political, cultural, and global developments through a lens of traditional American values, featuring exclusive interviews, breaking news, and dynamic panel discussions.
On this President’s Day edition, American Sunrise tackles a myriad of pressing topics: new disclosures in the Epstein files, government shutdown dynamics and border security debates, Marco Rubio’s foreign policy vision, ongoing high-profile missing persons cases, health and wellness insights, and the intersection of faith and American culture. The show features interviews with Congressman John Rose, weather and news field coverage, and special spotlights with figures like Lee Greenwood and Journey’s Jonathan Cain.
[04:45, 77:41] Dr. Gina announces the DOJ’s release of all required Epstein files per the new transparency law. A six-page letter lists hundreds of prominent contacts, though no distinction is made between simple acquaintances and those implicated in Epstein’s crimes.
Pam Bondi (Attorney General) confirms the release covers 300+ high-profile names, including politicians, celebrities, internal investigative notes, settlements, immunity deals, and details about Epstein’s detention and death.
"But here's the thing... the DOJ has sent Congress a six page letter listing hundreds of prominent people named in the files. But it makes no distinction between those who just had some sort of contact with Epstein and those who maybe bore some relationship responsibility in some of the wrongdoings."
— Dr. Gina [04:45]
"We want the creeps, right? We want the ones that are doing bad stuff. But... we got a list of 300 kind of big names... They're not all equal folks, you know, and so I just don't like the fact that... all of these names are now out there, you know, because there's just this implication for people..."
— David Brody [77:47]
Hosts and guests express frustration over the lack of prosecutions beyond Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, and worry that true justice for victims is at risk due to legal, procedural, or political inertia.
[06:09] Tennessee Congressman John Rose joins to discuss the government shutdown that has left the Department of Homeland Security unfunded, affecting TSA and FEMA workers.
According to Rose, the shutdown is the result of Democrats refusing to deport "criminal illegal aliens." ICE funding is secure, but critical capacities remain unstaffed and unpaid.
"We're now in day three of the third Schumer shutdown... because they want to protect illegal aliens in this country. This time, they want to stop the deportation of criminal illegal aliens, those who've come to our country and committed heinous crimes."
— Rep. John Rose [06:09]
[09:44] Discussion shifts to President Trump's plans to require voter ID for the upcoming midterms "with or without Congress' approval." Rose describes the SAVE Act and laments Senate inaction, stressing the need for secure elections.
"What every American... wants is they want the election secured. We want to know that the people who are voting are citizens of this country, have a right to vote, properly identify themselves. And we've seen that degraded in recent years..."
— Rep. John Rose [10:05]
[02:28] Senator Rand Paul introduces legislation to eliminate federal liability protections for vaccine manufacturers, a move supported strongly by Dr. Gina and Tracy Anthony.
"People have to have responsibility for the drugs they're injecting into people's bodies, especially babies."
— Dr. Gina [03:56]
"During the COVID 19 pandemic... this topic about vaccines became a bit more mainstream, a bit more acceptable to even talk about."
— Tracy Anthony [04:06]
