B
Good morning America.
A
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
B
Politics And President Trump is joining us live now from Florida. We've got you covered. This is what it looks like to be a patriot. We have to protect the American family.
A
The American dream is still alive.
B
I'm David Brody. I'm terrence.
A
And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning Everybody. I am Dr. G. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches this post Super Bowl Monday morning. Let's bring in Emily Finn who's with me in West Palm T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning to both of you.
C
Good morning, Dr. Gina.
B
Good morning, Emily. Good morning.
C
Good morning to you too, Terrence. I assume that you guys both tuned in to the super bowl this weekend.
A
I did. I did because my children made me and I knew I needed to or Terrence wouldn't speak to me on Monday. And it gets really awkward in a talk show when your co host doesn't speak to you.
B
So that would be awkward. I was working and watching Dr. Gina so I probably wouldn't have had much to say cuz I think I had one eye on the TV and the other eye on my laptop. But obviously the entire world still. Well, I don't know about the entire world, but the western world talking about the halftime show. President Trump out with his truth social post saying the super bowl halftime show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst ever. It makes no sense, is an affront to the greatness of America and doesn't represent our standards of success, creativity or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying. And the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the USA and all over the world. The halftime performer, of course, was Bad Bunny there at the super bowl. Tpusa, though, had an all American halftime show which was counter programming. That event was sponsored by Patriot Mobile and it focused on patriotism, freedom, and so much more. Roughly 5 million viewers on the TPUSA website and YouTube joined in to watch that. By the way, guys, I've got to be honest, just got a text message. I won't say from whom, but apparently I'm roasted on the various social media platforms because I said that I wasn't necessarily, you know, that I wasn't disgusted by it. I didn't understand a word that was said, but it was just an okay. And that's the Bad Bunny. You know, I wasn't offended by it at all. Apparently, though, Ice out did come up. I'm not gonna lie. I didn't understand the thing that was said. So if it did, I completely missed that part. But Dr. Jean, I know you've got some thoughts about the halftime shows as well.
A
Well, I do, you know, opening with Green Day, whose favorite song is like American Idiot or something like that. Disgusting. The incessant twerking. So in our bar area, in my house we had a Super bowl party because my kids, they always want to have a party. And so in our bar area we had one TV on and in our other parts of our house we had the Turning Point USA halftime show on. So we had a side by side, is my point. And it's just twerk. We had the regular super bowl turned down so we couldn't hear it, but we could just see it. And it was incessantly sexually explicit. And you compared and contrast that to all of the patriotism that took place on the stage at the TPUSA one. And the beautiful til you can't rendition that was performed at Turning Point usa. And for those of you who aren't familiar with that song, it's a beautiful song about, you know, you can call your grandma till you can't. You can go take your mom out to lunch until you can't. You know you can hold your baby till you can't. You know those kinds of things. And. But he changed the very last words, until you can give your life to Jesus until you can't. And it was just beautiful. Brought down my house. Anyway, we were all standing and clapping when we heard that part of the song, so it was such a contrast you know what? Really, what mainstream conservative, patriotic Americans believe and whatever. That was a Bad Bunny baloney.
C
Gena, I have to agree. I thought that Kid Rock's performance at the end of the TPUSA halftime show was so moving and so incredible. And I have to say, as a Detroit girl, that was the one that I tuned into. I didn't even watch the Bad Bunny show, but I did see Green Day's pre performance and I loved it. I thought they were awesome. I might get canceled for that, but they did a really good job.
A
I did think that they sou. Emily, I will agree with you on that, but it's just, why did they have them? Why did they have them if not to spit in the face of the very Americans who are the audience for the NFL. Talk about. Read your audience. Just no concept.
C
I'm just happy that Green Day didn't make it woke, didn't make it political. They stuck to the music. It was very rock and roll. Yeah.
B
Here's the great thing, I think, though TPUSA showed that you can have counter programming, the reality is you're never going to get everyone happy with the halftime show. And TPUSA shows that you can have counter programming that will be success and offer an alternative. So kudos to tpusa.
A
Okay. But I'm gonna say next time. I've got a couple of artists I wanna add, and one is Travis Tritt. Travis Tritt has been relentlessly and courageously patriotic all the way through. All the way through all of this. And he should have been on that stage last night. That's my personal opinion.
B
Okay, there you go. Let's call him. Call him up, big guy. Let's get Travis Tritt on next year.
A
Yes. Attention turning point. All right, today's Bible verse is from Second Corinthians, verses 4. 4, rather verse 7. It says, but we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. The Justice Department will let members of Congress view unredacted Jeffrey Epstein files. Starting today, lawmakers will be able to see more than 3 million documents on DOJ computers. But still, staffers cannot access them and no copies are allowed. The decision comes after criticism over redacted files and calls for more transparency in the high profile case. And this comes as Ghislaine Maxwell is expected to plead the fifth in her testimony today. Let's bring in Florida Congressman Randy. Fine. Congressman, you'll be reviewing. You'll have access anyway to the files. I'm presuming you Will take a look. Will you be able, I mean, what good does it do to have you be able to see the unredacted files? Will you? If you can't tell people what you saw, will you be able to say, hey, I saw Hillary Clinton's name in that redacted part of the file, will you be able to say things like that? Well, thanks for having me.
B
Look, I don't think the files are classified. I don't think you can, you can reveal the names of victims, but I think you can share that. What I'll be looking at in the files is this. Jeffrey Epstein died in August of 2019. And I'm going to be trying to get to the bottom of why. In the fact of the four years of the Biden presidency in 2021, in 2022 and 2023 and 2024, Joe Biden and Democrats didn't spend one minute trying to look into what happened in Jeffrey Epstein. I'm going to try to understand what magical thing occurred when once Donald Trump became president, that took an issue that they had zero interest in and all of a sudden became the only thing they could talk about. We're hearing that Ghislaine Maxwell is going to plead the Fifth during her deposition today. It's going to be a virtual deposition. If in fact that happens. We don't really glean much information. What's the point? Well, I would say if she pleads the Fifth, it's basically saying she's guilty of. So, you know, you can't plead the Fifth if you don't, if you're not trying to not self incriminate yourself so you can't go to jail for it, but it is an admission that you committed a crime. So if I say, did you murder someone? And you say I plead the Fifth, you can't be prosecuted for it, but you are saying that you did do it. So I think that people may be able to get some useful information out of that. But Congressman, if I can just follow up, she's in prison. So we know she's done something. We know she's guilty of certain things. And while I understand there will be some pointed questions, it seems to me that the whole point of deposing Ghislaine Maxwell is to get additional information that we don't already have or to get confirmation that we don't have. No, perhaps. But again, I think the biggest scandal here is one of timing. Nothing happened between the time that Jeffrey Epstein died and Donald Trump became president. Five and a half years where Democrats had no interest in this. And the scandal and the horrible behavior we're looking into is generally behavior that happened 10 or 15 years ago. I think what we really need to be pointing out is the absolute hypocrisy on the fact of Democrats. I think the only thing worse than being focused on Jeffrey Epstein is the fact that you weren't, you didn't care about it for years and years and years. I think the lack of consistency is something that we have to point out. If you heard Democrats talk, you would think this happened yesterday. But they had four years, two of which where they controlled the presidency, the House and the Senate, and they made no effort to get to the bottom of any of this. It's because they don't care and it's because this is just an entire political witch hunt.
C
Yeah. The timing is certainly, certainly interesting. Congressman, I want to get your take on this as well. House Republicans are pushing the Save America act to require proof of citizenship to vote and stronger voter ID rules. Now supporters say it will secure elections, while critics warn it could make it harder for eligible voters to participate. The bill has passed the House but faces uncertain support in the Senate. What is your message to your Senate colleagues?
A
My message is pass it.
B
Look, overwhelming majority of Americans, including Democrats, believe you should have to show a photo ID in order to vote. You have to show a photo ID for virtually everything you do in the United States. And Democrats make this repulsive, racist argument that black people somehow can't get photo IDs. It's disgusting and it's discriminatory. And frankly, when you register to vote, you should have to show that you're a citizen. You only have to do it once when you register. The other thing the bill does is it's going to make us take a hard look at mail in ballots, which are inherently insecure. If you need a mail in ballot because you're sick or you literally can't get to the polls, that's one thing. But beyond that, you ought to be going to the polls to vote. There's a lot of opportunity to do it where we can make sure you're you. Democrats oppose these bills, frankly, because if they can't cheat, they can't win.
A
Congressman Randy Fine, we appreciate you being with us. Thank you.
B
Thanks. Thanks, Congressman.
A
Coming up, we're going to check out the hottest headlines from the RAV newsroom with Terrence Bates. Also later, President Trump set to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu again. That'll be Wednesday. Talking Iran. What will come of that? We have expert analysis as soon as American Sunrise continues.
B
This news break is brought to you by amac association of Mature American Citizens.
C
Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily. Emily Finn. Coming up, a deal by June. Ukrainian President Zelensky says that's what President Trump wants. But how likely is that going to be? We're going to be taking a closer look. But first, Terrance Bates is standing by with the latest headlines from the Real America's Voice newsroom. Sponsored by amac.
B
The association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can right the course of America. Don't expect to get much new information or even perspective on Jeffrey Epstein's crimes during Delaine Maxwell's deposition before the House Oversight Committee today. Maxwell's attorney says the 64 year old plans to invoke the Fifth Amendment during her testimony to avoid self incrimination. She's currently serving a 20 year prison sentence for her role in the sex trafficking ring that Epstein masterminded. California Democrat Ro Khanna says he wants Maxwell to name names. The Congressman specifically plans to ask about four co conspirators and 25 men other than Epstein who allegedly have sexually abused minors at Epstein's island. Khanna has been one of the most vocal proponents of making information about Epstein's deeds public. Alright, the Seattle Seahawks, well, they are this year's super bowl champions. Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III is headed to Disney World as the game's mvp. But according to President Trump, the game's halftime show featuring reggaeton artist Bad Bunny was a flop. Posting on truth social47 writing and this is the quote, the super bowl halftime show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst ever. It makes no sense, is an affront to the greatness of America and doesn't represent our standards of success, creativity or excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying. This quote show is just a slap in the face to our country which is setting new standards and records every single day. Sunday's game, by the way, was projected to attract nearly 128 million viewers. With the halftime show in the commercials being a big draw. And just days into the Winter Olympics in Italy, there is a tragedy for Team USA as skier and five time Olympian Lindsey Vaughn is recovering from a broken leg following this crash during her race. The 41 year old retired in 2019 due to a history of injuries. She returned to competitive skiing last year though and qualified for the Milan Cortina Games. And just a week before the Games. Vaughn tore her ACL but still decided to race. Her latest accident this weekend not only landed her in the hospital, but also saw her helicoptered off of the mountain. The head of the U.S. ski and Snowboard team says that Vaughn's recovery will be a long process, but she'll be okay. Vaughn, by the way, is a three time Olympic medalist, including having won a gold medal in the downhill skiing race at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check. Actually, I've got one more story I want to tell you about. Sorry. Police are stepping up the search for missing 84 year old Nancy Guthrie. Investigators return to her home searching for areas including septic tanks as an alleged ransom deadline approaches. Savannah Guthrie posted on social media that the family has agreed to pay and the return of her mom is the only way they can have peace. Guthrie is the mother of TODAY show anchor Savannah Guthrie. She's been missing from for more than a week now as authorities say they are following leads. Her location is still unknown, though the investigation is ongoing. We, of course, will update you on that as well. All right, now let's get you over to Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony. By the way, go to our various social media platforms, be it getter, rumble, YouTube, let us know where you're hanging out. And who knows, you may be one of the lucky recipients of Tracy's hometown forecast in our next hour. Tracy, good morning.
A
Hey, good morning. Yeah, you just got to drop your hometown in the comments and then I'll, you know, start scanning through those.
C
But Terrence, I have a question for you as we talk about more winter.
B
Weather, what is the coldest air you felt?
A
Do you know?
B
It was in Duluth, Minnesota, I think, and it was below zero, maybe 12, 13 below zero. But it could have been 100 below zero. I was telling you earlier, the moment I got off the airplane, I knew that I never wanted to return to the news out after that. It was that cold.
A
I don't blame you.
B
Yeah, I've been up to Duluth a couple times and it's just for a day or two.
C
It's not too long. But Watertown, New York, Sunday morning dropped.
A
Down to 36 below. Now that was the temperature.
C
So when you factor in the wind.
A
The wind chill value was 47 below.
C
That is extreme. You're gonna get frostbite in 10 minutes.
A
To exposed skin when you step outside.
B
In those type of conditions.
A
So we have one more push of a system that's going to bring in some cooler Air.
C
But our weather pattern is going to be changing here for the week.
B
So our jet stream pattern is going.
A
To be a little more zonal. So we're going to have the lows and systems really moving directly across the.
C
Lower 48 instead of getting pulled down from the north.
A
So as for right now, we're not too bad. Still, the chilly spot is the Northeast.
C
The rest of the country is going.
B
To really warm up over the next.
A
Couple of days and we're really staying.
C
On the dry side for most of us the next 24 hours because of this pattern change.
A
So like I said, we are going.
B
To be feeling warmer temperatures. Look at the Twin Cities, 42 degrees today.
A
That's well above average.
B
So kind of unheard of this time of year.
C
But we're also going to feel those warmer temperatures from coast to coast, really? And Terrance, we were talking a little.
A
Bit about the Great Lakes with warmer weather and some winds.
B
We do have a good amount of.
A
Ice across the Great Lakes.
C
But this was a crack in Lake.
A
Erie that was caught from satellite just yesterday.
B
Oh, wow, A crack in the ice.
A
Yeah.
C
I had never really seen a video like this.
A
That's a big crack.
B
Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Seeing an entire lake frozen over, though frozen solid is a glorious sight. Like it just goes to show you how massive and how powerful God is that he can freeze over entire lake. All you see is ice on this massive body. All right, Tracy, always good to see you. We'll check in with you next hour for our hometown forecast.
A
See you soon.
B
All right, up next, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that President Trump wants a peace deal done by Russia, done with Russia by June. So how likely is that, that it will happen? We'll delve into it. First though, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date in 1942 that the United States instituted year round Daylight Saving Time. It's only saving, not plural. It was known as wartime during World War II. The change ordered by President Franklin D. Roosevelt pushed clocks ahead one hour to conserve fuel and to support the war effort. Wartime, as it was named, remained in effect until 1945 and later led to the standardization of Daylight saving time in 1966. More American Sunrise coming your way in two minutes.
C
Back to American Sunrise. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with presidents on the Trump in Washington Wednesday to discuss US Talks with Iran. They plan to address Iran's nuclear program, ballistic missiles and support for militant groups in the region. The meeting comes as indirect negotiations between the US and Iran were held in Oman amid high tensions in the Middle East. Let's now bring in the CEO of Black Ops Partners and the author of the Red Tsunami, the Silent Storm killing your freedom, Casey Fleming. Casey, thank you for being with us. How important is this meeting coming up on Wednesday?
B
It's very important. It's something to lay the line in the sand to get direction and hopefully get a deal done. The sticking points are going to be or what will the focus, I guess more accurately be of these meetings specifically, excuse me, relative to Iran. What does Israel want? And I think we all know that President Trump wants a denuclearized Iran that doesn't pose a threat to the rest of the world. Well, that's exactly right. They want Iran to be neutralized from a nuclear standpoint. Israel would be more than happy to take over Iran from a territorial standpoint, but in the meantime, it's just a. It's a powder keg in the Middle east until we get that resolved. So, again, Trump wants to get the regime changed with someone who is supportive of the United States.
A
What's your hope? You think it happens just because of another meeting?
B
Yeah, I do. We're seeing that there's so much unrest on the ground that they want internally a regime change. So it's something that people are all looking for locally. So try to gen that up with a little bit of American leadership might be able to make it happen. So I'm hopeful that it will happen.
C
Hopeful that that will happen. I do want to get your take on this as well. This Axios headline, it reads, zelensky, Trump wants Russia, Ukraine peace deal by June before midterms. Focus Trump wants to focus on the midterms. That's what Zelensky is saying. Want to get your take on all of this?
B
Yes. Trump would absolutely love to enjoy one of his campaign promises that all the wars will be ended and of course, before midterms, before elections happen. But, you know, you've got Zelensky who does not want to give up land, and you've got Russia who wants to take land. So, you know, there's nothing that Putin says that he ever agrees to and honors to show spate towards the United States. So it's going to be very interesting to watch this play out to see if there really is a hold in Ukraine.
A
All right. And we want you to tell us about the new book.
B
The book is really what the threat is against the American people. There's a war that's been underway against the average American, every man, woman, and Child who's been basically on their toes since really, Covid is when everybody noticed something was going on. And that is biological warfare. Then there's Covid 2, Covid 3, Covid 4. So on drug warfare, that's fentanyl. All these are methods of war that's been leveled on the American people. The Chinese Communist Party changed the rules of war and redefined war about 27 years ago. And this is what's playing out. It's expected never to go to military, and it's currently still targeting every man, woman, and child in the United States. Mainstream media doesn't cover it because they're compromised. The government doesn't really cover much of it because a lot of it is compromised. And that's the reason I wrote the book, is to get this message out to the American people. It's so important.
A
Yeah, I watched a program on this, and I'm imagining you cover this in your book about how they can so micro target. If they wanted to say, you know, everyone with, you know, pointed incisor teeth, they can micro target these gene this gene warfare, these massive, basically plagues. I mean, that's really what we're talking about, germ warfare. To cover any description of a person genetically that they want to cover. Is that something that you talk about in your book?
B
Yeah, all of it. They can micro target people, as you said, down to race. So their plan is to eradicate certain races. It's the very ugly part of what's going on. FBI Director Christopher Wray came out and said that the biggest single threat to the United States is communist China, has said that for the past six or seven years, but they never give any details. They say that they're in our infrastructure, but they never give any details. So those of us in the intelligence community basically decided to say, hey, look, somebody needs to tell the American people, the people that matter most, and the power is with the people, and the people tell the government what to do. So it's all these things. Everything, literally everything has been weaponized against the American people, and they are not aware of it as they go through their normal day.
A
Covid was a dress rehearsal.
C
Yeah. Well, thank God you are uncovering this and getting the information out there in your new book. Casey Fleming, thank you so much for your time this morning.
B
Thanks for having me.
C
Coming up, depression can be a tough thing to overcome. But what role does diet play into recovery? We have some tips. Next on American Sunrise.

All right. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. Gina. Thank you for joining us. Time now for today's health news sponsored by the wellness company under the microscope today. Could the keto diet help with depression too? Helps with a lot of things. Cancer, of course, diabetes. But a new study suggests that the keto diet may help some people with depression, especially those who have not improved with medication. Researchers found that people who followed a low carb, high fat diet for several weeks saw small improvements in their mood. And it makes sense. Fat really nurtures the cellular makeup of your brain. Experts say the results are promising, but preliminary. The keto diet can be hard to follow long term. Doctors stress that any diet changes could be done with medical guidance and alongside other mental health care. And I'll tell you, the trick to the keto diet in my opinion is biltong. Biltong. I know nobody knows what the heck I'm talking about, but it's a South African jerky. It's just I'm not talking about a brand but it has very high protein and it only has doesn't have any of the preservatives and stuff in it that like American jerky has. The South African jerky called biltong, you should try it out. I use it for my dog treats. I use it for my own snacks all day long and helps me stay keto anyway. February, National Cancer Prevention Awareness Month. Now more than ever, you want to be asking what each of us can do to lower our chances of cancer. You can trust them. The wellness company is committed to providing safe, low cost alternatives to big pharma, whether it's ivermectin Methylene Blue, their fantastic new product that battles back at cancer shield so much more. The wellness company gives you the opportunity to make the promise of the Maha movement a reality for you in your life. This February, take control of your health. Go to TWC Health RAV. C
I am prepared. Got all the kits and I am ready to go. Gina, Nothing bad is gonna happen here.
A
That's right.
C
All right. So Attorney General Pam Bondi is defending Tulsi Gabbard's role in a controversial FBI search connected to a Georgia election investigation. Bondi says that Gabbard's presence was appropriate and does not interfere with the FBI's work. Democrats have raised questions about why Gabbard was involved, but Bondi insists there was no misconduct in and the investigation will continue as normal. Let's now bring in Georgia State Senator Greg Dolezal. Thank you so much for being with us this morning. Did you see anything weird about Tulsi Gabbard's involvement in this? It looks like Bambadi is shutting up. Shutting. Shutting it all down, rather.
B
There's nothing weird about it. You know, for years, Democrats have claimed foreign interference in our elections. And now we have the Director of National Intelligence coming down to Fulton county to figure out what exactly happened in 2020. And Democrats are losing their minds. We should be focused on securing our elections, and that should be bipartisan. But sadly, as with all things election integrity, from the SAVE act to these investigations, it's turned partisan for the Democrats.
A
Yeah. Well, a federal judge has ordered the DOJ to unseal parts of its case against Fulton County, Georgia. This move could reveal more details about a federal investigation involving election records. County officials challenging those actions while media groups are seeking to access the documents. This case has drawn national attention amid ongoing debates over election oversight. Senator, what do you think will come of all of this?
B
Well, we're going to find out tomorrow what exactly the FBI presented to Judge Salinas that caused her to issue the search warrant. And everybody forgets about the fact that this was a magistrate judge, which means that judge was not appointed by President Trump that found probable, probable cause to send the FBI in to do the raid. And we know Even today, forget 2020. We know that even today in Fulton county, their elections are a complete mess. They frequently violate election law. They have thousands of voters today on their voter rolls illegally, illegally Registered to vote from UPS stores, empty lots, empty homeless shelters. And we will find out soon enough what exactly was going on in Fulton County. I will say they are going to great, great lengths to stop people from seeing what happened in 2020. Fulton county went to court to have these records destroyed years ago. They fought to have them turned over to the FBI. There's at least 50 boxes by their own accounting, that they haven't turned over to the FBI. So we still may not have clarity tomorrow, but we'll have a little bit more.
C
Yeah, it's certainly suspicious how the Democrats have been trying to block all of this and not get the information out. I mean, election integrity is something that we all should agree on and we all should support. What more would you like to see the Trump administration do throughout the entire country to ensure that our elections are secure?
B
Well, we've got to pass the SAVE act, and that's really obviously on Congress to do that. The Trump administration has come out strong in favor of voter ID. This is another one of those 9010 issues, right? We believe that you should be a citizen to vote in America. We believe that citizens should be able to show their id. Democrats consistently lock down against this position. But this is a cornerstone of election integrity, and I believe this will be one of the greatest gifts that President Trump's legacy leaves with America, that we will once and for all have election integrity in this country and end the need to question who is voting, how they're voting, and we will know that only citizens are voting with. With photo ID in America.
A
Where do you think we land on this? Will there be the same level of voter corruption there was coming up in the midterm elections? Are they still at risk?
B
Elections are always at risk. You know, there's always people there, nefarious actors that are attempting to play games. We have, in Georgia, at least shored up a number of things. Keep in mind, back in 2020, our Secretary of State invented election law. He invented dropboxes out of thin air. He sent out over 6 million absentee ballot request forms. We now know that tens of thousands of those went to people that were not living where they were registered because they were forwarded by the post office under the national change of address. And we addressed a lot of that in Senate Bill 202 that we like to say makes it easier to vote and harder to cheat. And so we know that we have certainly more election integrity here in Georgia than we did in 2020. But again, I keep coming back to Fulton County, Fulton county, who is in charge of their own elections. They are incompetent, they are incapable. And I have publicly called for the state to take over Fulton county elections until they could get their act together.
C
It certainly sounds like there needs to be a lot of work before Fulton county gets their act together. It's certainly quite a, quite an example of the lack of election integrity and the lack of the voter's voice actually being heard. But at the end of the day, this really does come down to the people that need to hold the people in charge of elections accountable. What do you think the messaging needs to look like, and does there need to be any changes in the messaging to really get voters fired up to ensure that the elections have a little bit more integrity leading up to the midterms?
B
Yeah. What we saw in 2020 in our runoff elections that got Warnock and Ossoff elected here in Georgia is people had lost faith in the system. And so we have to restore faith to the system where people know that it's one person, one vote. Their vote's not being diluted by people voting multiple times by people living, you know, born in the year 1900, Fulton county has hundreds of people on their voter rolls today that list their year of birth as 1900. And it's just, you know, statistical impossibility. And they seem incapable and unwilling and frankly, uninterested in resolving this. And so we need to demand more. The state taking over Fulton County's elections probably will be the only thing that will cause them to get it in line. But once we do that, I think all Georgians will look at this and say, okay, the state has taken action. We've cleaned up the voter rolls. Dirty rolls mean dirty elections and we've got to get them cleaned up.
C
It is certainly time to restore faith in the voters in their elections in Fulton County, Georgia State Senator Greg Dolezal, thank you so much for your time and for joining us this morning.
B
Thank you for having me. Beautiful to see you.
A
Thanks for being here.
C
All right.

All right. Washington Post CEO Will Lewis is stepping down after massive layoffs hit the newspaper, killing jobs, wreaking America's once trusted media. Long time ago, not any time. Recently, acting CEO Jeff Onofrio takes over as critics say the paper is struggling to recover from left wing bias and bad management. Stay tuned to see how this chaos at the Washington Post impacts what news you can trust.

Don't just drink coffee, but rejuvenate. All right, now that we've got you caffeinated, it's time to stay awake, not woke. And today we're discussing the Washington Post. The Post's publisher and CEO Will Lewis is stepping down following widespread layoffs at the newspaper. The change comes just days after Jeff Bezos owned paper cut about one third of its workforce, which is a move that hit newsroom staffers really hard. Chief Financial Officer Jeff d' Onofrio will serve as acting publisher and the CEO as the Washington Post navigates business challenges as well as staff reductions. Let's bring in Dr. Gina and Emily to talk a bit more about this one. Dr. Gina, I'd love to get your input here, your thoughts.
A
You know, I just, I feel like.
B
Because it's the Washington Post, I figured already you were like, yeah, no good for them. But I don't want to put that on you. Go ahead, your thoughts.
A
Well, I mean, you could pretty much like puppeteer what I'm going to say next because you know me T. But you know, here's the thing. I believe it when I see it. Proof is always in the pudding, as they say. And you know, a lot of people are making moves which I guess the moves are positive, that they just kind of want to like make a statement, to extend a sort of an olive branch or an invitation for audiences to come back because they've lost so much audience. But then the changes are never really substantial. Emily. That's my problem. They make these changes and these big announcements and you're like, but where's the proof? Cuz the proof is clearly not in the pudding after all.
C
Yeah, absolutely. And you know, I'm gonna take a little bit of a non political take on this. I remember even just a few years ago when I was in college, I wanted to be a writer for a newspaper so bad it didn't matter if it was the you know, the Washington Post, the New York Times. That's all I wanted to do. But when I realized nobody is reading newspapers anymore, nobody is reading any of this, that's when I kind of pivoted and I said, all right, let's take a look at tv. And now even TV is kind of like, now people are going to social media, and they're looking at X and they're looking at different things. So I think this is really just representative of how media is consumed today. For sure, there's a political bias, and I think people are really sick of that. But it's really just people aren't reading as much anymore. And so I think that it's really interesting, and I think we're gonna see this continue to happen until there's just no more print journalism left.
B
Terrence Yeah, I would totally agree with you. Print journalism is a dying industry, and the reality is people have so many different outlets to get information and to find information for them. It is dying because people are able to go and find the information very quickly right on their phone. You always say everybody's got a phone. And that's just the reality. People are able to get the information they want right there at their fingertips.
A
But I do love waking up in the morning, getting my cup of coffee and reading my Wall Street Journal. I love that. And to many, it's a ritual. I don't think it'll go away completely because of that, but I think because of the consolidation of audience, there will be much more competition for that tangible viewership, if you will. And so I think newspapers that are giving us a little more truth are probably going to be the ones that win in the end, because the numbers are going to be much, much smaller. So I agree, by and large, I think that it's antiquated, the print news, but at the same time, I think that there will be still some people who appreciate that smell and that touch. And for me, you know, I remember going in and doing my radio show in the morning, and I'd be highlighting, clipping and highlighting newspaper articles, which Emily has no idea what I'm even talking about. And you remember Grandma. You remember Grandma Terrence, how she used to clip out a newspaper article and send it to you in the mail? Emily, what the heck? But, yeah, no, that was a thing for a long time, and I, for one, still appreciate it. I think a lot of people actually do as sort of throwback, but they will be competing hard for those eyeballs.
B
You know, it's funny you brought that up, Dr. Gina. Because I've often thought even on this show, you know, we talk about we doing headlines. I would love to have actual major newspapers like the Hard Copy newspaper and just literally be able to pull up the headline for our viewer and say this is what the New York Times headline is. Read the headline here as opposed to showing it on screen. Just be able to have a hard copy of a newspaper and read the headline and then go out and do the story. You know, that's real old school journalism. You know, that's how we used to do it back in the, like I'm 80 years old. But that is old school journalism right there. And you know, you just, it's rare that you find a hard copy newspaper anymore. I mean, you know, if you go to the grocery store, you might find your local newspaper, but to find a Wall Street Journal or New York Times, the Hard Copy, very rare, very rare. I wish we were still back in those times. Anyway, that's my little soapbox. I'll get off of it now. Coming up, actor Tim Allen says that he is humbled, enlightened and amazed after reading the entire Bible word by word in a 13 month spiritual journey. Allen says he plans to read it again and has been sharing his faith journey publicly. Stay tuned to hear his powerful message on faith and reflection. It's after this. Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's time now for our moments of faith brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible in focus today, actor Tim Allen. Allen says that he's humbled, enlightened and amazed after reading the entire Bible word by word and in a 13 month journey finishing the scriptures from COVID to cover on social media, he announced he plans to read it again, sharing how the experience has deepened his faith and perspective. Alan is best known for his roles in Home Improvement and Toy Story and has recently spoken openly about his Christian faith and spiritual insights from Scripture. Let's bring in the executive director of The Providence Forum, Dr. Jerry Newcomb. Doctor, thank you so much for being with us. So cool to see this from Tim Allen. Do you think that more people in Hollywood or going to follow suit?
A
Well, that would be great, wouldn't it?
B
I think the, the bottom line for Tim Allen, as I understand it, one of the key things that really helped him was coming to grips with the need to forgive, to forgive somebody that.
A
Caused problems in his life, to let.
B
It go and to turn it over to God. After he heard Erica Kirk forgive so publicly, the man that shot Charlie Kirk, her husband. And she said, I forgive that young man because Jesus said, father, forgive them. They know not what they do. When he was on the cross. And what happened with Tim Allen, as I understand it, is that ever since 1964, when a drunk driver killed Tim Allen's own father, he had had resentment and bitterness in his heart, understandably so. But he let it go after he heard that example from Erica Kirk.
A
And obviously reading the Bible, I mean.
B
The Bible has a lot to say about forgiveness. And as a Christian, we are forgiven and therefore we have the grace to forgive others. And I think that's a beautiful thing. And I'm so happy that Tim Allen is doing this. And yes, I would definitely want more and more people in Hollywood to turn to faith in Jesus Christ.
C
Absolutely. And I would assume that Erica Kirk, I think, has inspired not only more people in Hollywood, but people all over the country to read the Bible and to show mercy to others. And that forgiveness that you spoke about, really beautiful stuff. Thank you so much for being with us this morning.
B
Thank you.
C
We'll be back with the second hour of American Sunrise in just two minutes. Stick around.
A
All right. Coming up on the second hour of this Monday edition of American Sunrise, tensions rising in the Middle east as Iran's leadership now says it will strike against US Bases in the region if President Trump moves forward with the military option. This comes as both sides continue negotiating over nuclear capabilities. We will have to lay down. Plus, House Republicans investigating the husband of Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, looking at his sudden jump in wealth in just a few years time. We're going to break down those details a little bit later. Also later, yet another government shutdown could be looming on the horizon as lawmakers remain divided over the funding of the Department of Homeland Security. This comes as Democratic Democrats continue to push for defunding dhs, taking aim at ice, specifically these stories. So much more as the second hour of American Sunrise starts right now.
B
Good morning, America.
A
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
B
Politics. President Trump is joining us live now from Florida. We've got you covered. This is what it looks like to be a patriot. We have to protect the American family.
A
The American dream is still alive.
B
I'm David Brody. I'm terrence.
A
And I'm Dr. Gina.
B
Welcome back to this second hour of American Sunrise. It's always good to have you along for the ride, especially on a Monday. I'm Terrence Bates coming to you from our Denver newsroom. Let's bring in Dr. Gina and Emily Finn. They are both in our West Palm beach studios. Emily is in for David Grover this morning. Ladies, so good to hear you and see you. Dr. Gina, I was thinking about you when I saw this headline. Let me see if I can get back to it. It reads, UK Starmer Fights for survival as Mandelson Epstein Revelations Spark a Crisis. And the headline really brought you to mind because you've really been very vocal about getting more information about Epstein. And now we're seeing that the investigations and the names being leaked related to Epstein are reverberating literally around the globe. There's talk now that Keir Starmer, the British Prime Minister, could be ousted because of Mendelssohn, the name that I just mentioned. He appointed him as ambassador to the United States. And of course, there's been a lot of fallout given that that name has now come up in connection with Epstein. So much more information to be gotten out. I know I gave you a lot there, Dr. Gina, but that's the ultimate point. There's so much more information, and the reverberations are literally global. It's not just American lawmakers, it's lawmakers around the world.
A
Yeah, there's a lot of people hiding in their houses right now hoping that. Hoping that nothing comes of this. Because, you know, if other countries do start ousting people based on the Epstein files, then guess what? The pressure will really be on America to pay attention, for our politicians to pay attention and do the right thing. And people need to be punished for this. You know, it's easy to say this doesn't matter. It's easy to say this is old news. But it does matter because there's a real trail of victims. And not only a trail of victims probably far beyond what we will ever know, but also fallout in that there is an entire subculture engaging still in the legacy. I hate to put it in those terms of somebody like Jeffrey Epstein. And this needs to be called out and exposed so that it never happens again. Emily, that's what's really important here.
C
Absolutely can never happen again. There needs to be a spotlight on all of this. Everyone that was connected in any type of criminal way needs to go down, needs to be put away and our politicians need to be taking this seriously. I would absolutely have to agree with everything that you just said, but it.
A
Is still happening and I think that's really key. It's still happening. Just because Epstein is out of the picture, whether you believe he's dead or whatever you believe, and just because Ghislaine is in prison for 20 years, it doesn't change that this is still happening all over the place. And a lot of it has to do with this very, very large underground community that has been engaging in such horrific things for so, so long, needs to be put a stop to human trafficking.
B
The thought, the thought alone turns My stomach, Dr. G. As I'm sure it does you and Emily. Well guys, unfortunately don't really expect to get much new information or even perspective on Jeffrey Epstein's crimes during Elaine Maxwell's deposition before the House Oversight Committee today. Maxwell's attorney says the 64 year old plans to invoke the Fifth Amendment during her testimony in order to avoid self incrimination. She's currently serving a 20 year prison sentence for her role in the sex trafficking ring that Epstein masterminded. President Trump was a no show at the super bowl on Sunday. He is though calling the game's halftime show featuring reggaeton artist Bad Bunny a flop. Posting on Truth Social 47 writing in part, the super bowl halftime show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst ever. It makes no sense, is an affront to the greatness of America and doesn't represent ourselves standards of success, creativity or excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying. This show is just a slap in the face to our country which is setting new standards and records every single day. By the way, the Seattle Seahawks are the super bowl champs. And just days into the Winter Olympics in Italy, there's a tragedy for Team USA as skier and five time Olympian Lindsey Vaughn is recovering from from a broken leg following this crash during her race. The 41 year old retired in 2019 due to a history of injuries. She returned to competitive skiing last year though and qualified for the Milan Cortina Games. Just a week before the games began. She tore in ACL but still decided to race. Her latest accident this weekend not only landed her in the hospital, but also saw her helicoptered off the mountain as you saw the head of the US Ski and snowboard. The team says that Vaughn's recovery will be a long process, but she will be okay. Wishing her all the best. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Meteorologist Tracey Anthony joining us with your hometown forecast. Tracey, what do you have for us? Good morning.
C
Hey, I'm taking you out to Springfield, Illinois this morning for the hometown forecast. And Red, I apologize.
A
I know I had to kind of guess a city because you said central Illinois. So this was my best guess. But look at this. We're gonna have a mix of sun and clouds, a little rain as the.
C
System works through on Thursday, and then more rain for the weekend.
A
But temperature is finally moderating, and a.
B
Lot of us are gonna feel those temperatures above average.
A
Now for our next one, we're heading down to Tallahassee.
C
This from Katie on Getter.
A
We've got always a good chat going on Getter, so if you haven't checked.
B
It out, you definitely should.
A
Where Florida.
B
Your temperatures are gonna start to feel.
C
Back to normal at the end.
B
Well, I know this weekend in South.
C
Florida here, it was beautiful out there.
A
And last stop is Georgetown, Kentucky.
C
Quiet weather this week as well.
A
And look at that, 56 degrees by Tuesday. So a lot of us feeling the.
B
Warmth and then a lot of us.
A
Bracing for rain over the weekend, this weekend.
B
So, Terrence, it's relatively calm and quiet.
C
On the weather front.
B
All right, Tracy, appreciate it. We'll check back with you tomorrow. Have a great rest the of of the day. You, too, of course. Thank you. Well, folks, tensions are sharpening in the Middle east as Iran issues its most blunt warning yet. In a new interview, the foreign minister there in Iran says that if the US Launches a strike, Tehran will hit back, targeting American bases across the region. The foreign minister also saying that this would not be an attack on host countries, rather a direct response, excuse me, to what he calls us threats and pressure. Joining us now with reaction is South Carolina Congressman Ralph Norman. Congressman, always good to see you. Good morning. Good morning. Glad to be with you. Always good to have you. All right, let me just be blunt. Is it time for the United States just to blow up Iran, just to drop another bomb on them? To say, stop talking all that trash? I hate to put it that bluntly because I realize lives are at stake and US Lives potentially being at stake, but there's a lot of trash talking, it seems like coming to me out of Iran. Yeah, Terrence, you wonder how they can. Can continue that kind of talk. You know, this president is not somebody that you really want to try to bluff out. He, he, he, we operate from a position of strength. I don't think they, they must not remember what, when he took out the, the, when he bombed the country, took the threat out of them, you know, basically blowing the world up so that they will continue to do what they're doing, I assume. And the mass genocide they've had against their own people show you what kind of an evil regime this is. And they will soon learn if it keeps going, what, what this president will do, which is he'll protect America and Iran will not want to see what's coming their way, I don't think.
A
Congressman, President Trump set to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on Wednesday. This meeting is going to focus on the president's ongoing negotiat with Iran. This comes, of course, as Tehran continues to push back on demands to draw down its ballistic missiles and nuclear program. Do you see that happening?
B
Well, you know, I think with Netanyahu coming sooner, he's coming Wednesday, and I think he had planned to be there later, but now that he's there, I think he's going to protect Israel. He's going to do what it takes that to join President Trump in keeping this world safer. So Netanyahu has a strong record as well, like Trump does, and it doesn't bode well for Iran with what he will do along with President Trump.
C
Yeah, we will certainly be keeping a close eye on that meeting on Wednesday. Congressman, I do want to turn now to the ongoing peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky now says the US Wants a peace settlement between the two countries by June. He also revealed delegations from both countries are set for another US Brokered meeting in Miami in a week's time. This comes as Russia continues to demand Ukraine give up the Donbass region. Congressman, what needs to happen for this war to finally come to a close?
B
I think Putin's gonna have to, have to really want peace. You know, he blew up the electrical grid in Ukraine, and, you know, they're not gonna give up Dobas. They're just not doing that. And, you know, it's gonna have to be come from Putin if anybody can negotiate it. But, you know, if you look at his actions, they don't. With Putin, they don't. They're not peaceful and they're not looking for peace right now. Maybe that will change. But, you know, he's a thug. He's a You know, KGB operator and again, he's what the damage they've done to Ukraine is pretty extensive. And it's going to continue until he makes up his mind on what he wants to do, which hopefully will be to broker some peace arrangement. All right, Congressman, let's get to some domestic issues front and center. You're going to be headed back to Washington, D.C. here in just a few hours. When you get back, you and your colleagues really going to pretty much have the rest of the week to work out some sort of deal on the DHS funding, specifically ICE funding. Do you see that actually working out or is this going to be another Achilles heel, another fight that just doesn't get solved? You know, when you look at the rhetoric that the Democrats are putting out from Chuck Schumer to the others, it doesn't appear that, I mean, they want to basically actually do away with ice and that's not going to happen. I think I, along with others with the body cams, that's fine. But the other things they're demanding for them to take their mask off, you know, what the Democrats going to have to decide is if they cannot continue to advocate for violence against ICE officers, they're taking criminals off the streets and making Minnesota safer. And so it depends on what they want to do. If I don't, I think as they did before for 43 days, when they shut the government down, they may try it again. Now I have, you know, they know no bounds when it comes to making America suffer. And I, I doubt we're going to be able to get come to an agreement just from their language and what they're saying. But hopefully, hopefully we can. And it'll be minor if with what we do with ice, we're just not going to disband it. And this president's doing a great job of making the country safer, Congressman. So speak to us. What I'm sorry, Dr. Gina, if you don't mind, because I really want to understand for our viewers. So if there is no deal on this DHS funding, the rest of the government has been funded. You mentioned that there will be another partial shutdown. But DHS is my understanding, does already have funding to continue operating. So would there technically be a shutdown? How does that ultimately work if there is no deal on this continuing resolution? Well, dhs, you know, does TSA agents, it does. You know, they respond to disasters with funding with fema and there it's a bigger agency. But you're right, we've got the majority of it funded. The big beautiful bill covered that. And that was the beauty of passing that bill when we did so. But you know, the, for them to even think about shutting it down and slow things down is unimaginable. But the money will be there. Will it have an effect? Yes, but it won't have the major effect that it did before when they shut it down last year.
A
Congressman, if you could just give me a simple yes or no because we're completely out of time. But I really want your answer on this. We're going to see, you're going to see the unredacted Epstein files. Will you be reporting the names to your constituents that you, you see in that unredacted, those unredacted documents?
B
Yes.
A
Thank you.
B
Short and sweet. I like that. Congressman, you can come back anytime.
A
That's right.
B
Keep it short and sweet. No one ever does that. Right. Nobody ever does that. Congressman, always good to see you, sir. My pleasure. Thank you. All right. Thanks again for joining us. Coming up, a new ethics crisis on Capitol Hill as Ilhan Omar's husband is at the center of a surging business empire and a brand new investigation. White House Republicans say the numbers just don't. That's next. Let's spill some tea.

A new ethics showdown is brewing on Capitol Hill as House Oversight Chairman James Comer opens an investigation into companies linked to Congressman Ilhan Omar's husband. Comer says the stunning surge in value of Tim Minutt's businesses from just over $50,000 in 2023 to as much as 30 million in 2024 raises serious questions about who's funding them and whether anyone may be buying influence. Comer's oversight committee is demanding records on investors, audits, federal communications and travel to the uae, Somalia and Kenya as it examines possible ties to what lawmakers call widespread fraud in Minnesota's social service programs. For more, let's bring in Terrence and Dr. Gina Terrence I mean, the numbers don't lie here. That big of an increase in one year. There has to be something shady going on.
B
Where there's smoke, there's fire, and something's burning in Minneapolis. I'm trying to tell you there's definitely reason for concern and I'm glad there's an investigation going on. Again. At this point, we don't know the numbers, but something's fishy to have that much of an increase to get that much more money from year to year, especially when you came into office, really not being that affluent. There are definitely questions that are being raised and should be raised. And I'm hoping that the House Oversight Committee and James Comer get to the bottom of it. Definitely hoping that.
A
Dr. Gina well, where there's smoke, there's fire. But pretty much these days, where there's slimy Democrat, radical leftist commie people, there's fraud. And we are just used to it at this point. I think of people just these folks just being slimy, being completely and utterly all the time hypocritical on everything. Whatever they're accusing us of is generally what they're doing. So that's always where to look. That's always look. They point right at it by accusing us of exactly what they're doing all the time. So this isn't surprising at all to I don't think anyone in our audience.
B
And to your point, Dr. Gina, do you think that we're somewhat, as a society desensitized? There's almost a sense of, oh, they're a politician. We know they're probably crooked. We know they're taking their position and using it as a way to make money. Are we just desensitized to that?
A
Yes. But that's not okay. I hear a lot of people say, oh, I'm just cynical. That's not okay. If you're feeling cynical about your government, then fix it. That's God call. That's God telling you, wake up and do something, engage, write letters, be involved in politics. And I'm not talking to this audience, but I do hear a lot of people say, oh, I just can't watch the news. I can't possibly handle it. And I'm thinking, so leave it on all of us. No, you get involved. You take action. If you're feeling cynical, this is your children's government, and if you love your children, take action.
C
Absolutely. It amazes me that there aren't more people protesting and demanding that Ilhan Omar Step Down. I mean, she has to resign. She has to get out of office. All right, great discussion, you guys. Hey, Terrence. All right, thank you very much. A stunning new book is shining a harsh light on the Chinese Communist Party and the brutal machinery operating behind its closed doors. In Killed to Order, journalist Jan Yakelik pulls together decades of investigative reporting and firsthand research to make a powerful and deeply unsettling case about the CCP's human rights record. At the center of his findings, allegations of systemic state sanctioned organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience. Joining me now with more is senior editor with the Epoch Times and author of the book Killed to Order, China's Organ Harvesting Industry and the true nature of America's biggest adversary, Jan Yekelik. Thank you so much for joining us. Good morning. You've investigated the CCP for years. I mean, tell us more about what you found. This is really, really disturbing stuff.
B
Well, we first found out, you know, basic information about patients, basically people who had the money to spend, either through socialized medicine or cash, that we're able to get things like a heart transplant within two weeks. Okay, and this is something. And scheduled. And this is something that's basically impossible to happen in a civilized society. Someone has to have an accident, a very traumatic accident that will actually guarantee that they'll be dead, and then those organs can be taken from a person. But in communist China, it's a bit of a different situation. And when back in 2006, a whole bunch of whistleblowers came out near simultaneously and there was one had a patient that actually had gotten a heart in two weeks scheduled. And that's what put us on that, on the kind of road to figuring out, you know, what is one of the, I think, greatest, most extreme human rights violations happening today.
C
Oh, my God. That is absolutely extreme and something that we need to be exposing and talking about further. Your book argues that misunderstanding the CCP poses a global threat. What do you think the west still gets the most wrong about the Chinese regime? What don't we understand?
B
Well, let me explain just to you how this works and how this is a little bit different than your garden variety organ operation. Okay? Basically, you have to have a state actor. You have to be able to push propaganda into a system and dehumanize a whole group of people. Then you need to be able to incarcerate that group of people. Now you can blood type, tissue type them and organ scan them, and they're basically put in a database. Okay? And that's why someone on this end that's got 200 grand to pay can get an organ in two weeks. Because the person on the other end is ready to be killed to order, basically incarcerated. Ready to be killed on demand. So that's the system. Now, what do we get wrong about the Chinese Communist Party? Well, the fact that this exists tells us something really, really deep and important about our adversary and who we're dealing with. This is not a normal government.
C
No, absolutely not. My stomach is turning just listening to all of this. You know, for viewers hearing about these atrocities for the very first time, what evidence should they pay the most attention to? What do you hope that they take away from your book, from all of this information that we've been discussing?
B
Well, the evidence, you know, the one piece is there's a paper in the American Journal of Transplantation 2022, where they found at least 70 violations in the published Chinese transplant literature, public right of violations of the dead donor rule, meaning that they've published evidence that the people in these studies were killed by actually having their organs extracted. Again, that's publicly available. We need to understand that this evidence, some of it, isn't even hidden. The second part really is let's think about how we actually cooperate with the Chinese transplant system. Why are we training Chinese transplant surgeons? Why are we having these deep research partnerships with. With Communist China, with institutions that are involved with this? I think this all needs to end.
C
Absolutely. It needs to read. Read your book and get the. Get the information to really understand what's actually going on. Because this is. This is horrible. This is, like you said, human rights violations and absolutely disgusting. Thank you so much for joining us today. Would like to ask you, what would you like to see done about this? What can the United States do to make sure that the CCP puts an end to this?
B
Well, the amazing thing is that in the last couple of years, there's actually been kind of a resurgence of interest in this issue. Okay. There's two pieces of legislation that target it directly. One is called the Falun Gong Protection Act. Another one's called the Stop Forced Organ Harvesting Act. They've passed the House. Okay. So we can actually pass them in the Senate. And these are things that will actually make a meaningful difference for people. Okay. And there's even. There's a whole bunch of states, six states that have actually passed legislation to actually prevent Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance for paying for transplants in China. There's another 44 states to go. So there's a lot of stuff on this end. There's a whole bunch of grassroots stuff that you can get involved in, too. Killtoorder.com is the place to get the book to find out more.
C
Janya Kellogg, thank you so much for your bravery in speaking out about this and for joining our show today. Love to have you back on to talk about this further.
B
Thank you so much.
C
All right, let's head back to Terrance in Denver for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
B
Sponsored by amac, the association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today together we can right the course of America. And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The applause is already underway on this Monday, and the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange is going to ring here in short order. American Eagle is at the podium. I've invested a good bit of money there, particularly in my younger days. Wore a lot of American Eagle clothing. There you have it. Ladies and gentlemen, the markets are officially open on this Monday of trading. This week of trading is now getting underway. Here's a quick look at how the markets are looking right now. Not so hot at the top. The Dow and the S&P 500 in the red, as is the Nasdaq. So there's work to be done today to get that back up. But for those of you investing, good luck today. Hopefully things do look up for you. We're only a few weeks into winter and already brutal cold, huge snowstorms and of course power outages are major issue. Think about this. If the power goes out when it's really cold, do you have a way to keep yourself and your family warm? Well, it's a real problem for so many Americans. Winter power outages can even be light threatening like in Texas just a few years ago. And that's why so many Americans are getting a Vesta off grid heater from my Patriot Supply. It's a space heater that doesn't use electricity or propane. In fact, it runs on something called canned heat, which is an indoor safe fuel. With Avesta stashed in your closet, you know that you can keep warm no matter what. It even doubles as a stove to cook your food, which is is pretty cool as well. The best part is that right now you can get the Vesta and a bunch more preparedness gear as free gifts. When you order the winter survival kit from my Patriot Supply, just go to mypatriotsupply.com rav to see everything that's included in this kit. This offer won't last long though, so go to my patriotsupply.com rav today and place your order. That's my patriotsupply.com still to come here on American Sunrise, a funding showdown at dhs. With just days to go, talks haven't even started. But ahead, find out why both sides are digging in and what it could mean for ice, border security and millions of travelers. Stay with us. More American Sunrise coming your way after this.

All right. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thank you for joining us this morning. We invite you to hop on over in our conversation on YouTube. Getter and Rumble. It is now time to take the political pulse of America. Here's the beat today. Pessimism growing on Capitol Hill as lawmakers struggle to avert a funding crisis at the Department of Homeland Security. At stake operations for ice, border protection, fema, TSA and the Coast Guard. Both sides say they want a deal, but Democrats and Republicans aren't even in the same room, let alone on the same page. Democrats, under pressure from their base following controversies in Minnesota, are demanding sweeping policy changes. Republicans still call these proposals a non starter and insist that Democrats are holding DHS funding hostage to defund ICE ideas. With negotiations still at a standstill and a scheduled recess just days away, Senators are warning they may have to scrap travel plans or pass yet another short term band aid to keep DHS running for more. Let's bring in Terrence and Emily. You know, Emily, I think about it like this. This is an absolutely. They can't even defund ice. Really. They're not even going to impact ICE because their funding is already in place. So this is really all about a sideshow. This is a dog and pony show. This is more lies, more hypocrisy from Democrats. What we really should be talking about is cutting costs.
C
Yeah, but the only thing they can do is a sideshow. Gina, obviously what the Trump administration is doing, what DHS is doing to make the American people safe and to arrest criminal illegal aliens all throughout the country is a good thing and is getting, if you look at the polls, a lot of support. And we are seeing it with crime numbers going down. It's a good thing. This should be getting the funding. And like you said, this is just a sideshow. And Terrence, it's the only thing that they can do in a year that we're looking to November for the midterm elections. It's messaging at this point.
B
This is bulldung. Hopefully that's an appropriate way to put it. Democrats just need to get. Here's the thing. Republicans are willing to compromise. Republicans have already said, okay, the body camera thing, we're on board with that. In fact, they've already deployed body cameras in Minneapolis. The whole idea of unmasking these agents is a non starter because it's a safety threat to those officers and their families. That's a reasonable position that I can't see how Democrats can argue that even though they are, this isn't about what's right for America. This is simply about holding an issue politically hostage or holding an issue hostage for political gain or at least to make a political point. And that's just not it's not good for the American people. Dr. Gina It's Bulldog.
A
I would for one time just love to see the Democrats ever mention the victims, the countless victims of the illegal aliens out there. I would really love to to see that, but I don't think we will.
B
TERRENCE no, I would tend to agree with you. Dr. Gina changing gears now and looking ahead to 2028, former Vice President and failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris revamping her social media presence and rebooting her old Kamala HQ account. This comes as Harris recently kicked off a second leg of touring to promote her memoir 107 Days, making it look increasingly like the former VP is eyeing yet another White House run. Joining us now with reaction is former Trump attorney and author of the book Defiant Inside Mar A Lago Raid and the Left's Ongoing Law Affair, Christina Bobb. Christina, always good to see you. Good morning.
A
Good morning, Terrence. Thanks for having me.
B
Absolutely. All right. So what do you make of this idea that Kamala may be running again? Does she even have a chance in her own primary, much, much less a general election?
A
Well, she's never won a presidential primary yet, so I don't think it looks good for her. But, you know, I'm not gonna lie, I actually kind of like this news just because of everything that's going on right now. It is kind of nice to have some comedic relief.
C
I think her, her campaign will be fun to follow.
A
I do think it will be funny to watch. Her ideas are going to be wild and out there. I don't think she stands a chance of getting anywhere. But she has managed to make a career out of getting to really high places through unusual circumstances. Like 107 days before the election, Joe Biden dropped out. So we'll see what comes of it.
C
But no, I think this isn't really anything to be taken seriously. I don't think. She has certainly made a career off of cringe a career off of her cackle. CHRISTINA it's been really, really interesting to watch. I do want to look now to Tulsi Gabbard. The director of National Intelligence is Responding to claims by Senator Mark Warner and others that she allegedly hid a whistleblower complaint in a post on X, Gabbard said, Senator Mark Warner and his friends in the propaganda media have repeatedly lied to the American people that I or the odni hit a whistleblower complaint in a safe for eight months. This is a blatant lie. Christina, what's your take on this?
A
I think they're trying to make Tulsi Gabbard look bad, because I think she is probably the best cabinet member President Trump has right now who actually is trying to implement an America first agenda.
C
And so I think they're doing everything.
A
They can to muddy the waters, make.
C
Her look weak, try to discredit her.
A
Because her and her team actually are working quite hard to expose things in the intel community. Community. And they have a lot of resistance. They have a lot of resistance in their own community. They have a lot of resistance within the Department of Justice and FBI and other places throughout the federal government. And so I think they're trying. I think this is an attempt to disparage Director Gabbard because she actually is doing good work. Christina, Congress will receive the unredacted Epstein memos, a lot of them this week. Do you think that changes anything? Once they can see the names of the actual politicians, will mainstream media begin to actually cover this in its entirety? And in fairness, even the parts that maybe would make conservatives look like they weren't crazy all along? Yeah. I would be shocked if members of Congress don't already know what's going on. And to be fair, I don't think it's just conservatives. I think this is a bipartisan corruption issue and a bipartisan effort to expose it, because you have both people, both sides are crying out for exposure, and both sides are covering it up. So there's a lot of weird, weird stuff happening with this. I do think we eventually get to it, but I think we're gonna have to fight for it, because, I mean, Cash Patel testified before Congress that there was no credible evidence that Epstein was running a sex trafficking ring. Grief, I don't agree with that. But, you know, that's his testimony, and that's according to him, His. His view of the evidence. So.
C
So I think we have to continue.
A
To fight for it. Thanks to Real America's Voice and other network, other largely conservative networks, this is coming out.
C
But I think we have to fight for it.
B
As you look from the outside in on the work that's happening within the Trump administration and also within Congress, what are your Biggest concerns or do you have concerns about what's happening and more importantly, I guess at the pace at which things are happening?
A
Yeah, I do have concerns. I have, you know, I share a lot of concerns that I see coming up on social media and that people have. That pace, as you mentioned, isn't happening fast enough. Specifically looking at Congress where Republicans have the House and Senate, they haven't passed very simple legislation. I mean, take the SAVE act or Election Integrity reform, immigration reform, the big ticket items that conservatives gave a mandate to our federal, not just conservatives, Americans gave a mandate to. To conservatives in 2024 saying, hey, we're going to give you all the power you need to set things straight. And they haven't done it. And President Trump has done everything I think he can as far as executive orders go.
C
Some of his executive orders have been.
A
Struck down, probably accurately, because most of this needs to be happening through Congress and Congress isn't doing it. So I've got concerns that Republicans may have squandered their opportunity to really make some good change. Where does the blame lie? Have done it. Where does the blame lie on that, Christina? Do you put it squarely in the hands of the Speaker? Certainly he has a lot of blame, yes. But also, I mean, look at Senator Thune, you know, the Senate Majority Leader. I think it lies with Republicans keep taking their eye off of their objective.
C
Their objective has changed.
A
It is apparently just because we haven't seen anything take place. Their objective has shifted from I need to do what the American people elected me to do to. Well, we've got some agenda items that we need to tackle, which is not the same thing as I'm gonna do what the American people elected me to do. And so what the American people elected them to do isn't getting done. And so I think it lies with.
C
Every single one of them that have.
A
Taken their eye off the ball. And I honestly, I would love to.
C
See every Republican primaried, like, just get.
A
Get rid of them.
C
Well, that was gonna be my question for you, Christina. With Congress kind of dragging their feet, so to speak, how do you think this is going to translate to the midterms?
A
I don't think Republicans are in a great position. Democrats are much better, quite honestly, because they're coming up with the most crazy policies that nobody believes in. So I think it's just really, the American people are really just disheartened at the moment. And so I think there needs to be a catalyst, and I believe there will. We've got plenty of time. I mean, it's an eternity till November. So I think there needs to be a catalyst to see some change. And I'm hopeful that we'll see that, that that will come about and that will spark some action from people. But until that happens, you know, it's very discouraging watching, saying, hey, we gave you everything you needed to take care of this and you didn't do it. Yeah, buck up, Republicans. This is yours to lose. Christina, Bob, thank you so much for being with us.
C
Thank you.
B
Thanks, Christina.
A
All right, let's talk Medicare because a lot of folks aren't getting the full story at all. Most Medicare agents push Medicare Advantage plans even when they're not right for you. Why? Because that's where the money is for them. But seniors, they're the ones paying the price. And that's what makes chapter different. They walk you through original Medicare, Medigap, Medicare Advantage and Part D with the pros and cons all laid out for you so you can make the right call for your own individual health needs. Donna said her chapter advisor walks her through every option and explained everything in a way she could actually understand. Plus, they saved her thousands of dollars. So if you are on Medicare or you will be soon, call 814- Chapter 814 chapter. They'll tell you about enrollment options and find ways to help you save. It's free, it's quick, and they can review your options in under 20 minutes. Most people wish they'd call sooner. There's more American Sunrise right after the break. So don't go away. Got more for you this Monday.
C
Welcome back to American sunrise. Today we are going beyond faith, taking a closer look at some of the most mysterious topics in Christianity. The Shroud of Turin, believed by many to be the burial cloth of Jesus, remains one of history's most debated artifacts. The 14 foot linen bears a faint blood stained image, what many believe to be the face of Jesus and has fueled centuries of questions about its origins. 1988 carbon dating suggested a medieval creation, but pollen and other evidence point to a 1st century Middle Eastern source. 14th century records even claim that it was faked. And a 2025 3D analysis found the image may come from a sculpture, not a body. Safe to say there's a lot of questions, but even so, the Shroud remains a powerful symbol of Jesus, death and resurrection for millions. And now for the first time, the public can view the Shroud on a digital platform. While the Catholic Church does not take an official position on the Shroud's authenticity, Pope Leo was the first to experience the new digital reading inside the Apostolic Palace. Last month, back in 2015, Pope Francis visited Turin, Italy for a rare viewing of the Shroud and prayed in front of the cloth. For a deeper discussion on the Shroud, let's welcome to American Sunrise, John Yepp, the president of Catholics for Catholics. John, just like Pope Francis, you had the privilege to actually see the Shroud in person, too. Describe for us what that experience was like.
B
Challenge anyone who may have, like, a doubt in the existence of God. Okay. If you do, first of all, it's normal, we all do at times, right? But go look at the Shroud of Turin, study that thing, because you will walk away after just even a superficial study of that image you see there on the screen and come away with, what is that? Is there a God? You have that. Whatever. That's 14 foot shroud, which, you know, dates back to, you know, the, the time of Christ. Right. And there's, like you mentioned, I was able to see that in person. It's taken out rarely. It's in Turin, in the north of Italy, and they keep it, obviously protected just because to preserve it. Right. And you see this photographic negative of a crucified man. No one disputes that it's a crucified man with the blood embedded into the very material. Okay. And more scientific research has been poured into that item than anything else in the world. It's just, it is simply remarkable. I could talk all day about this. Gerard Ferrand.
C
It absolutely is remarkable. I have a devotion to the Divine Mercy and I had the privilege to see the original Divine Mercy portrait that's in Lithuania today. And if you match up the face, right, this is like decades apart. If you match up the face on that portrait to the face on the Shroud of Turin, it's almost exactly the same. I mean, there's no way that could be a coincidence.
B
John, let's talk about some of the. Just the items that just continue to baffle scientists. You have, first of all, how was it created? If it was a medieval forgery, which, by the way, the famous 1988 carbon dating was, was completely proved false by four separate studies. When they did in 1988, they took a piece of just one little strand from the very edge of the, of the Shroud, which had come from a replacement in medieval times. So, of course it's going to. That, Pete, that's. That strand is going to show that dates back to medieval time. But if they would have taken it from the whole Shroud, you of course, would have seen that it dates back to the time of Jesus Christ. Right. So how is it image created? They estimate that it would have needed 6.8 billion watts of energy to basically sear onto the shroud. What you see there in front of your eyes, that's the equivalent of basically half a million strobe lights, which would have been zoomed in on that image in like one tenth of a second. Okay. Which, of course, as Christians, we probably believe that's the resurrection. The exact moment of the resurrection was a burst of light which imprinted the face of Jesus Christ on that shroud.
C
That is absolutely incredible. And look, people are going to try to disprove it, right? Try to say that. Nope, science doesn't support this. You know, some 3D imaging, now it's available for digital viewing. But I think it is such a testament to how strong the faith in Jesus is. It doesn't matter how many times people try to disprove this. We're even having this conversation today because it is such a symbol of faith, something that people can really reflect over and think about Jesus, death, and resurrection. John, I'll give you the last word here. I just think it's incredible that you had a chance to see it in person. That is so rare. Not many people have that privilege.
B
Think about this. Okay? So you're standing for the very image which, according to John chapter 20, in which accounts for the resurrection story. John the apostle went in that tomb and it says he went in and he saw and he believed. Well, what exactly did he see? Maybe it was a very shroud that he saw there. He saw the image of his friend who had just been crucified two days before. Three days before. Right. So that's. For me, it's a. It's a, you know, it's a mystery. But. But again, I challenge anyone to seriously study that. And you'll come away with just an appreciation of love for what the Lord did for all of us to save us from our sins.
C
Well, Jon. Yup. We so appreciate you going beyond faith with us today talking about all of these mysteries. Definitely want to get you back later in the week to talk about some more. Thank you again for joining us.
B
Thanks for covering this awesome story talk this week.
C
All right, take care. There's more American Sunrise right after the break. Stick around.
A
Do we both just take off our glasses at the same time? Terrence Bates.
B
No, I was scratching my eye.
A
You were scratching your eye?
B
I was scratching my eye.
A
All right, well, listen, it is a Monday, so people have to give us a little grace this morning, right? Welcome back to Americans at Monday after the super bowl, which, yeah, Anyway, I am. Dr. Gina, we are so glad you joined us today. It is time now for THE ONE to watch. And here's what I'm keeping my eye on today. Bill Maher, of all people, sparking new debate after saying QAnon deserves an apology, at least on one of their most explosive claims. In a conversation with Stephen A. Smith, Maher pointed to the newly released Epstein files and the long list of elites now publicly tied to the convicted sex offender, from media figures to NFL owners, even a CBS News reporter who lost his job. Marx says the arrogance on display in those communications is crazy and a sign of just how deep this scandal may actually go. Take a look.
B
I can't believe I'm saying this, but where does QANON go for the apology? You know, I mean, QAnon, which believed in lots of really ridiculous things like, you know, democrats eat babies, but they were kind of harping a lot on the idea that the elites are running this pedophile ring. And I mean, I made jokes about them. I also made jokes after the Epstein thing happened originally that were on the idea of, well, you know, obviously there was some smoke there. Well, now with all that's come out in the last couple of weeks, there's little more than smoke.
A
You guys. You know, I'm all over this because I believe what we're learning from these files so far is just the beginning. And I do believe it is confirmation and validation of a lot of things people have been accused of being crazy for saying.
C
Emily Absolutely. I really hope that these, these conversations continue, more evidence and more documents are released because this, as we talked about earlier in the show, Gina, this cannot continue if things like this are still taking place and happening. We need to make an example of all of this and not just let this go and not, you know, kind of let this slip under the radar.
B
Terrence no, absolutely. And hopefully we will get some answers. As I was reporting earlier, Ghislaine Maxwell is going to be testifying before the House Oversight Committee. Unfortunately, probably not going to get a whole lot of information there. But Democrat Congressman Ro Khanna says he has names already and he's looking for confirmation of these names. At some point in time, someone is just going to have to go ahead and out the names that they might have, and let's let the chips fall where they fall.
A
All right, you guys, be sure and tune in to our show tomorrow because we have something really amazing that Brittany Aldean mother said to me this weekend at the big event at Mar a Lago with Kathie Lee Gifford. It was the Moms for America event. I can't wait to tell you about it. And we're gonna have pictures, you guys. War room is up next. Hug your children. Love God. Go boldly now. Live the truth, everybody. We'll see you tomorrow. This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human.
