And I'm Dr. G. Good morning, everybody. I'm Dr. Gina. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Happy, happy New Year, you all. Let's bring in David brody in Washington, D.C. and T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, gentlemen.
B
Oh, what a difference it makes. Happy New Year.
A
Happy New Year.
B
It's my makeup brush. There you go.
A
It actually works. It actually works.
B
It kind of does, yeah. Hey, guys. So look, it's all purpose. There you go. 2026, guys, is going to be a fantastic year. I'm just going to go on and put that out there. There's obviously going to be a lot that happens. We've got the midterms, of course, foreign policy and how President Trump handles various foreign issues. It's going to be interesting to see draining the swamp will continue not just with the elections, but hopefully some long term Democrats will just go ahead and leave themselves. I expect a lot to 2026. Is there anything in particular that either of you are super excited about in this coming year? David, let's start with you. Super excited about. Well, I thought you were going to say, is there anything that you're looking forward to in the new year? And then you said super excited. Well, that just lowered my list. Okay, how about this? Let me read to is There anything that you're looking forward to in this new year, David? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I just think that I'm looking forward to not covering the news as much because there's gonna be a much slower news year. No. Nevermind. No. Good luck with that. Scratch that off my list. No, forget that's not happening. No. I don't know. I mean, I'm just excited to be here and just continue on with this wonderful show. There you go.
A
Me, too, Terrence. And I'll tell you something else. We have a wedding this year. My son Jack is marrying my beautiful daughter in love, Maddie. She is amazing, and I love her so much. And I prayed for, you know, for all of these years, for the people that my children would marry. And it's beautiful to see it come to fruition. And I'm going to go ahead. Since you were throwing stuff out there and you were saying, oh, what did you say? We're going to win the midterms or something like that. I don't remember. Terrence, you just. You went ahead and put it all out there. Oh, it's going to be a great 20, 26. I'm going to go ahead and put out there that I'm going to get a grandbaby this year. I don't know, but I'm just saying, I have one married. I'll have two married. It's time, folks. Yeah. Kids get busy. Did I say that out loud? Is that my outside voice? My kids get onto me about that. Thank God they don't get up this early.
B
But I'm underachieving. I'm just. I'm just hoping for good grades in this next semester. I'm super underachieving. We got babies coming. I just want good grades. Just bring home a good gpa. That's all I'm asking for.
A
See, Davis sits over here on the other side of this set every day with all these grandchildren. I have none. All my friends have grandchildren. I have no grandchildren. And so it's my time.
B
I will say I'm sorry. Did I bury the lead? In just a few days, we're expecting our third grandchild, so we're excited about that.
A
Listen to this. Listen to this.
B
Sorry.
A
Me praying for. I'm like, I'd like a little boat someday. David's like, well, between my three yachts, I don't know which one I'm gonna spend time on this year, but yeah.
B
Yeah. Well, congratulations to you, David. Dr. Gina, I think what a great way to transition to our Bible verse so we can put good vibes out for David and his family with the new grandchildren. Come on, Gina, let's pray about it. Let's get to that Bible verse. You got this.
A
Today's Bible verse goes like this. Romans 12, 2 and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. That you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. One of my all time favorites. Do not be conformed to this world. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. I love that so much.
B
Real quick, I just want to say, so this is one of your all time favorites. And then again, every Bible verse seems to be one of your all time favorites, therefore the Bible itself is one of your all time favorites.
A
It is. It's just hit after hit.
B
Okay, just making sure.
A
Yeah. I don't know what's happening this morning. All right.
B
I don't know.
A
Now that 2026 is officially upon us, attention shifts to the campaign trail as candidates prepare for the midterm elections. Welcome to American Sunrise. Steve Gruber, the host of AVL Live here on rev. Steve, early predictions for this upcoming November, Red wave, blue wave, Grandchildren, weddings or yachts?
B
Let's see. How about grandchildren having weddings on the yacht? How about that all together? How about grandchildren having. Oh, never mind. Go ahead. Go, Steve. All right, here are my predictions. You ready? First of all, Ken Paxton will be the next senator from the state of Texas. There's an easy. Oh, that's a big. There it is. I think that's easy. But here's the other thing. You look at the United States Senate, you look at the numbers coming up right now at the end of 25 show that Donald Trump and the Republicans are surging in their approval numbers. And that's good news. It means the generic ballots coming back to even again. And the reason being is, look, I don't know what you're paying for gas in West Palm or Denver or D.C. but I'll tell you this. It's below 250 a gallon here in Michigan. And that's a game changer. When gas was above $4 a gallon a couple years ago, that's a, I feel a suburban. All right, that's 28 gallons of pure pleasure. So when you save a buck and a half a gallon, that's 45 bucks in my pocket. All right, so that's an important thing. Right? Let's see. So that makes a difference. 2.7% is the inflation rate. So I'm looking at pickups for the United States Senate for The Republicans in places like Georgia, Minnesota, maybe Michigan, maybe New Hampshire. I mean, you've got good candidates in all these places, right? So you've got a real chance not just to hang on to 53 seats, but to add to it the Democrats idea that somehow they were going to, you know, just walk away with midterms. They had that whole attitude in the fall of 25, I think they're going to be in for a rude awakening when people realize the Democrats have an 18% approval rating. 18. Chuck Schumer has lost control. Mamdani becomes mayor today. Right? Didn't he? The mayor today? The first of the year, January 1st. Yes. Yeah, so whatever. So he's getting sworn in a little bit later today. So what am I looking for in 26? You guys are asking that question. The next manufactured crisis, what's it going to be? Democrats are going to manufacture something out of thin air and spin it up and try to make Donald Trump look badly somehow. First it was Epstein, and all I saw was Bill Clinton's face smeared all over the Epstein pictures. I mean, good Lord, why do you think there was a painting Bill Clinton in Epstein's Manhattan mansion? Gee, let's do the math. Because he was there all the time and he knew he had the goods on him. But the next manufacturing crisis, because they're going to have to have something. They can't go with the numbers, they can't go with the economy, they can't go with a secure border, a better economy, stopping drug runners, stopping these ghost ships from delivering oil out of Venezuela and enriching the drug runners and the cartels. They've got to come up with something. So it'll be in the form of lies and disinformation, I believe, because what else do they have? I mean, look at 25, the way it closed out. It closed out really strong in the economy. We set an all time record. We spent a trillion dollars. I'm waiting for the final number. A trillion dollars on Christmas. That's an all time record. All time Black Friday record, All time Cyber Monday record. I mean, you look at any metric, things are a lot better than the Democrats would have you believe. They want you to think that America's on fire. And yet do we have some fires to put out? We do. We got some things we have to deal with. The concern of terrorism, the concern of other criminal activity, the concern of, you know, what happens in Venezuela, can we stop the war with Ukraine and Russia? That's another thing. That'd be a miracle. I'd like in 26. But overall, on balance, Donald Trump finished 2025 and his administration strong. And people see it and they realize, hey, it took a little while to get things turned around, but now that it's turned around, that bus is starting to go the right direction and picking up speed. I really believe that. And I think that people are going to notice that by the Fourth of July when this economy is clicking and we've got the celebration of 250 years of America, people are going to get that enthusiasm. People are going to get that enthusiasm. Oh, manufactured crisis. The Patriot Games are going to be like the Hunger Games. There's the most, you know, thing that they brought out at the end of 25. These people are nuts. I mean, accomplished athletes from every state coming to compete. Well, they're pitting against young men and women against each other. You know, I guess I've been watching these football teams get pitted against each other, which I'll watch more of today as well. But I mean, just the language they use, they're pitting young people against each other. It's called sports, folks. I mean, nobody buys that nonsense. It's silly, just silly. Steve. And here's the thing. I agree with you wholeheartedly on all of that. And I'm glad you brought up July 4, because that comes right after Q2, at the end of quarter two, June 30, where that we'll start to get better numbers, better sense of where we are economically as it relates to the big beautiful bill and all the no taxes on tip and X, Y and Z. So I think that's one key narrative to watch. And the other key narrative is that Mamdani in New York, because he'll have six months by June 30, July 1, going into midterms, six, seven months of what Mamdani's policies are going to do to New York. And you can believe that the Republican Party slash, the Trump administration will use that as a narrative if it goes south, and we all expect it will, they'll use it for all those other candidates in the House. Because you mentioned the Senate. But it's the House I'm obviously more concerned with. And because the truth of the matter is, if we lose the House, you know what those Democrats are going to do? They're going to try to impeach Trump yet again. Yeah, it'll be the circus come to town again. You forgot one other major thing coming now that it's the first of the year, giant refund checks because of the big beautiful bill. I'VE been reading here 11 to $20,000. Some of these refund checks are going to be 20 grand coming back to families. You don't think that makes people happy when they walk in the voting booth? What about the $2,000 checks? Now, that has to be approved by Congress. But Kevin Hassen talking about we've got a $600 billion reduction in the deficit in 2025. What a remarkable thing. I thought the tariffs were going to ruin the whole country. Apparently, they're going to enrich the whole country, not the other way around.
A
Boy, I'd love to see all that go to debt relief and just get our children on track for their future. Anyway.
B
Likewise, Dr. G. Yeah, yeah. What are you doing there? Is that a dance or are you trying to get ready for football? Get. Get ready for football. It's football time.
A
He's got to get off air with us now, you guys, because he has a date with a football game. Steve, enjoy.
B
You got it.
A
Enjoy the passes. Enjoy the day.
B
Enjoy the. Thank you, guys.
A
I don't know.
B
Happy New Year.
A
Lingo. Something, something. All right. Happy New Year, everybody. All right. Coming up, we check out the hottest headlines from the Rap newsroom with T. Bates. He's not going to be watching any football. No. Yes, he is. I'm totally joking. Also later, President Trump is still hard at work to bring peace across the world. What should his top priorities be in 2026? We're going to look ahead when American Sunrise returns. Stick around.
B
This news break is brought to you by amac, association of Mature American Citizens. All right, let me just say Times Square and New York. Not a chance. You'll never see me there. I grew up literally on the Upper west side of New York, two miles from Times Square. A native New Yorker. And I wouldn't be ever caught in the middle of that madness, ever. I've never been there. And I in terms of on New Year's Eve, and I'll never do it ever in my life. All right, welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. Sorry, I got a little animated there. Coming up, Trump's foreign policy priorities of 2026. There are a lot of them. We'll talk about it here in just a moment. First, T. Bates standing by with the latest headlines from the real America's Voice newsroom. Boy, I'm all jacked up. This morning, sponsored by amef, the association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today together we can right the course of America After a night of celebrating the New Year, many Americans waking up with the classic New Year's Day hangover. Doctors remind people that alcohol, dehydration and late night feasts can really leave you feeling tired, bloated and sluggish the very next morning. Experts recommend simple remedies like drinking water, eating a balanced breakfast and getting some light exercise in order to kick start the year. Despite the liberal media's constant guilt trip, most Americans do know how to celebrate responsibly while still enjoying life. And for many, the New Year hangover is just a reminder that of fun, family and friend holiday traditions that prove America still knows how to hire or how to ring in, excuse me, the New year the right way. Not everyone overdid it last night though. Some people waking up on this first day of 2026 and putting their resolutions into action. Families and individuals alike are focusing on healthier lifestyles, stronger finances and more quality time with loved ones. Classic American values that have stood the test of time. Experts say the key to success is setting realistic goals, making a plan and staying accountable. This new year, Americans are ready to embrace discipline, determination and the values that keep our nation strong and prosperous. Finally, New Year's Day means one thing for many Americans, and that would be football. You just heard Steve talking about it. Football across the country is a thing as fans will be gathering in living rooms for sports bars and stadiums to watch classic college and professional matchups. For many, it's not just about the game, it's all about family, friends and spirit. Shining through sports. New Year's football is a reminder that Americans know how to celebrate the holidays with passion, with tradition and of course, with pride. Good luck to your team as they go out there and hit the Gridiron's Day. Up next, President Trump and foreign policy. We're going to talk a lot about it. What should be the top priorities in 2026? Well, take a deep dive. First, though, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date in 1863 that President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation proclamation during the third year of the U.S. civil War. The proclamation fundamentally changed the moral tone of the war. Its court declaration that all persons held as slaves within rebellious states are and henceforth shall be free. The executive order also announced the historic inclusion of black men into the Union army and Navy. It was a move that saw almost 200,000 of them join the fight. By the war's end, the document was not without its limitations as slavery was not outlawed in border states or Confederate states. Already under Union control at the time. Five pages long. The original Emancipation Proclamation is kept today as at the national archives in Washington, D.C. more American Sunrise in just a moment. First though, a word about our friends at amac. They're like, that was like 12 and a half years ago. Stop. Houston, Texas, by the way, on New Year's Day. All right, welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. We're about one month away from marking four years since Russia invaded Ukraine. President Trump has been hard at work trying to broker a peace deal between the two nations. Putin and cooperating, by the way, that's just one of the hotspots that Trump has to handle as we enter a new year. For analysis, let's welcome in geopolitical analyst and former Navy SEAL Mike Sorelli. Mike, Trump. Excuse me, Trump. Russia and Ukraine. Boy, this has been vexing to say the least. But my sense of it, after this 2020 year of 2025 and going into 2026, Putin has no desire at all to settle this thing. And how are you going to go to the art of the deal as it relates to what Trump's trying to do when you have one side for sure that doesn't want to make a deal, and I'm not sure about Zelensky, but let's just talk about Putin to begin with. He don't want to make a deal. No, don't underestimate Putin's ability to endure pain as well as the Russian people. Now, you've got to say that President Trump has made more strides in this year than the previous administration did during this conflict. But let me look at the good here. We are seeing indications that Europe is now the main engine in their own defense. They're stepping forward. We stopped our financial aid to Ukraine in March of 2025. In Europe, knowing that this impacts them the most is finally stepping up. But ultimately, these territorial negotiations are going to be the long pole in the tent. Ukraine won't budge. Russia won't budge. And that is the question, David, how do we get around the territorial issue in order to bring a cessation to these, to this war? All right, Mike, so let me be the devil's advocate here. President Trump has done all he can. He's come up and authored peace plans, cease fire plans, and both sides seem resistant. They say the right thing publicly, but then behind closed doors, they act like little kids. So to quote David, is it time for President Trump to say holla and just step back back and let them handle it on their own? That's two references. I would love to see President Trump say that. I don't think so. Ultimately, this is a war of attrition, and we've got to inflict more pain economically and defensively against Russia. So this $120 billion that Ukraine is estimating to continue the war, Europe is going to step up for at least 60 billion of it or most of it. So if Russia understands that Ukraine is being funded and not only armed by the United States as well as Europe, that's going to be tougher to take any more ground. So we want to inflict as much pain economically and militarily until he finally says uncle. All right, so go ahead. Dr. Gina, do you want to take this?
A
Okay. Well, just was going to ask. The war between Israel and Hamas is continuing as well, with the Jewish surrounded by enemies. How do you see the current situation in the Middle east in the short term? What do you think is going to happen this year, Mike?
B
So, Dr. Gina, I think we all knew phase two was going to be the most complicated part. I mean, phase one essentially is what I call it, is stop shooting people, mostly swap detainees and hostages and then surge aid. But this phase two of who runs Gaza and who gets to carry a gun, we knew Hamas was not going to disarm. So that's the toughest part. Ultimately, we had intended for an international stabilization force, but no one's volunteering. So, you know, the U.S. qatar, Egypt and Turkey met. They are persuading or just convincing both sides to keep the status quo. This is going to take longer to identify that international stabilization force, the peace board and then the technocratic government that has been discussed, whether it's the Palestinian Authority. Hamas wants seats. There are still some negotiations that have to happen. So I think we're going to see an extended phase one for a little bit before we get into phase two, and someone's going to be told to get troops in there to maintain peace. Mike, let me ask you about this international stabilization force, because that concerns me on so many different levels. But let me just take one of those levels. And how about Turkey specifically? I mean, Netanyahu doesn't want Turkey anywhere near the Mediterranean. I mean, Turkey, Erdogan specifically talked about a caliphate, you know, so for him to be there inside with potential troops in an international stabilization force inside Gaza, that's a dream come true. To Erdogan, that is Netanyahu's red line in the sand. That will not be allowed. He is that publicly that Turkey will not be allowed to be part of that international stabilization force. David, for the exact points that you just mentioned. Yeah, yeah. So let's talk a bit about China. That's obviously the sleeping giant seems to be waiting and watching as everything else across the globe kind of plays out, also potentially ramping up aggression. What are your expectations? What are your expectations, excuse me, from Chinese President Xi in 2026, both in terms of, of physical aggression and military aggression as well as economic aggression, because that's also a way China has been waging war. Well, Terrence, you know, China is feeling the pain right now. They've essentially based off of what President Trump's been doing with Venezuela, they've been forced out of the Western hemisphere or at least mitigated down to the lowest level. So, you know, they're feeling backed into a corner. So I would expect now you will hear what we call saber rattling. They will have threats of taking Taiwan. They will never do it because of just the amount of losses they would take in that campaign. But economically, that's where they're going to wage war. China has a long term view. It's an Eastern philosophy where we are very short term in thinking. So they're not thinking years, they're thinking decades and taking us economically. So focus on sort of fifth generation warfare. As I would say, it's not direct conflict, but winning through the economy, winning through, you know, attacking our society, creating division within America, that's the approach that China is going to take.
A
What is your wildest, most unpredictable prediction for 2026?
B
You know, let me look at foreign policy. So one, I would say for President Trump, we've seen some elections go to the, to the left here. So we've got to control the domestic economic narrative for the Republican Party, especially with midterms coming up this year. But, you know, on a foreign policy front, we've just been talking about it. If there is a strategic North Star or principle, you know, Trump has got to follow this. He has to choose what should make America, let's say, harder to coerce, cheaper to defend, and more economically sovereign. And he does that through guys, a military rules of three, because I can only remember three things. And the Ukraine war, again, we're talking about China. They're the only ones that benefits from a prolonged war. We don't need to win, we just need closure to re establish deterrence with China. They're the only near peer military and economic threat. So it's vitally important we decouple the supply chain from semiconductors, energy, and especially rare earth metals. Again, the strategy there is to make or prevent conflict by making it unwinnable for China. And then three, we all know this weapon weaponize energy. Not just sanctions, energy dominance is foreign policy. Leverage, leverage. And we know that Trump loves leverage. So that means expanding LNG exports to Europe and Asia because ultimately whoever controls energy flow controls geopolitics. You need energy to build. You need energy to power technology. So everything is energy, energy, energy in 2026. All right, Mike, we have about a minute left. Let me get you into the prediction business yet again. It's January 1, 2027. You are on this show yet again for our New Year's Day special. Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro. Is he president of Venezuela or is he gonzo? I think he will be gonzo. He is. He's feeling the pain. He is the epicenter of the world right now. And economically, they can't sustain this. Their military is not a threat to the United States, to our shock and awe that we know our TR troops can inflict on any nation. But you know, despotic narcissistic leaders will hold onto power by all means. It's no different than Panama, Noriega. But we will see either from the pain that we're causing on Maduro, that the citizens of Venezuela will rise up and remove them themselves. And ultimately regime change is the goal. And I don't see Maduro lasting a whole year of a major embargo and the US Military sitting off his coast. All right, Mike, a quick addendum. Will President Trump be the Nobel Peace Prize winner 20, 27 or next year? He's our president. He's our Nobel Peace Prize. We can't account for the Europeans and all the other countries that vote. So I think he is the de facto Nobel Peace Prize winner. Whether they give it to him or not, the world knows. Great point. You should. Mike Sorelli, you should be. That was, that was Switzerland, if I've ever heard Switzerland. He is out here. He's our Peace Prize winner. I love it, though. I'm not mad at you, brother. Thanks, Terence. I. I appreciate it. Thanks. Thanks again, Mike, and appreciate your service to our country. Thank you. Happy New Year's, guys.
A
Happy New Year.
B
Okay, up next, did you go a bit too hard on the booze last night? And are you now fighting the mother of all hangovers? Well, if so, don't stress relief. Don't stress relief. I'm sorry. If so, don't worry because stress relief is just two minutes away. Apparently, I've had too much booze as well. Back in a moment, everybody.
A
All right. Welcome back to American Sunrise. That's Santa Fe, New Mexico. Looking at you there, I'm Dr. Gina. Looking at you here, holla for David Brody. Thank you for joining us today. Time now for today's health news. Sponsored by the Wellness Company and under the microscope today, holiday hangover cures. Let's just get right down to it. For those of you watching who maybe went a little wild last night, lots of fun parties. I'm sure there are various routes you can take to feel better. The first remedy is herbal and natural. Try some tea made with herbs like fennel, centauri leaf or peppermint can work well as well. Also, if you're not a fan of Tylenol and painkillers, a shot of wheatgrass. Supposedly that's good. You can also, as weird as it sounds, take a bath. Okay, this is what the producers found when they researched this. You can take a bath in mustard or wasabi powder. I won't be doing that. Thank goodness. For me, it's just drink a glass of water between all alcoholic beverages and then stick to those that I know that my body can handle. Anyway, next is ancient healer's methods to soothe the body of headaches and aches and pains. Tiger Balm. Just rub a little on your temples for instant relief. As for healers, the good old fashioned foot massage apparently focus on the outer edge of the foot halfway between your toes and the middle of your foot. And if you have the energy, you can try yoga. I don't know about having a hangover and doing yoga, guys, but, you know, you never know. Slowly twist your arms and torso from side to side to purge toxins. Here is some advice from the crew in the control room. Energy drinks, copious cups of coffee, and maybe even a slice of pizza or a nice greasy breakfast. That's from the guys in the control room who are all in their 20s. I'll just put that out there. It'll help soak up the alcohol you had, they say, and good luck with that. I'm just gonna go back to the. Drink a glass of water and stick to things that you know in small amounts. Night of. But you can't really go back and rewind. So there's that. Let me flag something important. Also, as we move into winter, doctors have warned that this year's flu season was going to be a rough one. Now even mainstream media is reporting that new, more virulent severe flu strains are spreading faster in the U.S. the kicker, though, the already ineffective flu vaccine is even less effective against this new strain. What the media won't tell you is that Dr. Peter Mercola warned about this weeks ago. He's been clear that this strain is more severe and unlikely to respond to the flu vaccine. Which means more personal preparation matters. That's why I trust the wellness company's two step approach. Step one, prevention through immune defense. Nasal and throat sprays used daily to help support your body's first line of defense. Right where viruses enter. Step two, early treatment through contagion. Emergency kit. Physician prescribed antiviral options, including a nebulizer, hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. So treatment can start early if you do happen to get a bug. And if you're not stuck in the long lines or shelling out big money at urgent care during the holidays. This isn't fear, it's common sense. You got. So get prepared. TWC Health, slash RAV. Use the promo code RAV. That'll save you 10%. David Brody, is there a hangover kit at the wellness company?
B
I don't know.
A
I mean, I'm asking for a friend.
B
Oh, you're asking for a friend. Okay, good to know. And we'll just keep it between us. The cameras aren't rolling.
A
Thank you.
B
Good to know. Yeah, good to know. Okay. I heard that. Challah. Did I say challah? What did I just do? That was like my Jewish challah bread. Sorry. I heard Challah earlier. Thank you, Gina. I appreciate that. All right. It's a new year, and with a fresh slate, it's a time many think they can break old habits and just concentrate on looking ahead and not dwelling on the past. But it isn't so easy. Comes down to resolutions and regrets. And how do you deal with both? Well, here with advice on how to navigate your life in 2026 is psychiatrist Dr. Carol Lieberman, a good friend of the show. Dr. Lieberman, thanks for being here. Happy New Year to you. Yeah, look, we always start with these New Year's resolutions, and then within a couple days, boom, they vanished. So how best to look at this upcoming year with those pesky resolutions? Why do we do that? My goodness. Yes.
A
That always happens. And then we start the year off.
B
With feeling bad, like we can't accomplish anything.
A
Well, let me just say 2026.
B
There, there's good news and bad news. The bad news is that it's going to. There are going to be a lot of challenges.
A
It's the midterms.
B
There's going to be more divisiveness. There's going to be more tds more and that. And also terrorism and anti Semitism are increasing, and unless we do some make changes, they're going to keep increasing. So those are some of the major challenges that we have coming up. Now. We also need, before we make resolutions, we have to look at ourselves.
A
We have to take stock of ourselves, you know, what we did right and.
B
What we did wrong.
A
And unfortunately, you know, to be honest.
B
I mean, first of all, we have.
A
To recognize that civilizations rise and fall.
B
And people in America are very complacent, and we don't realize how we have to work towards making our civilization, our.
A
Country, continue to rise. And so there' swe've gotten sloppy. You know, we are sloppier in our speech. We're sloppier in our dress, we're sloppier in our manners.
B
And so we have to. We have to be honest about that.
A
Then also.
B
Complacency, or let's say we.
A
Feel very entitled and entitlement is the.
B
Opposite or the enemy of advancement.
A
So these are some of the things.
B
That we need to ask ourselves before.
A
We, like, think about the positive things that we're going to do. So for the positive things, I'm going.
B
To take a riff off Melania.
A
Remember her Be Best campaign? Yeah, she's still on it.
B
Well, okay. Well, and here's great. Here's also a Be Better campaign, and that is that we need to be better, not just with ourselves, like lose weight and the usual things and drink less and all of those usual things.
A
But be better or be best in terms of our country.
B
We have to include our country in our New Year's resolutions and we have to take responsibility. Each person can do at least something. You know, a lot of people can.
A
Do more than one thing.
B
But we can do things that will help our country, like volunteering, like being.
A
Kind to our neighbor, like creating courses, you know, in our community centers, like joining, since there's going to be midterms.
B
Joining the party's local committee, you know, if you want your party to win.
A
And we, we certainly do in terms.
B
Of more Republican people to save this country. I mean, we're very fortunate, of course.
A
To have President Trump and he's trying.
B
To be best, be better, all of.
A
That to save our society from falling apart. But we have to do our part too.
B
And that's where people are falling down.
A
So in other words, don't just think.
B
About yourself and losing weight, think about.
A
What we can do for America, which is very therapeutic by the way. Statistics have proven, data has proven, science has proven that a lot of times when you're feeling depressed or down, one of the best things you can do for yourself is go volunteer. You know, and that could be at an animal shelter, at a nursing home, at a children's hospital, whatever, go care for somebody else instead of all this self care we hear about all the time, which is actually pretty destructive. At least it culminates in that if you get too wrapped up in it. But doctor, I want to ask you, because you are a psychiatrist and with the advent of RFK into our body psychology, if you will, psychiatrists prescribe medicine and at least you have that ability to do that. And you're really the only mental health professional that has the license to do that. So with all the changes and all of the discoveries and all the getting back to our roots of pre Rockefeller medicines science, how have you seen your profession change? And what do you predict in the coming years in terms of going back to things like what we're talking about right now, like taking practical measures to advance your mental health, relying on natural methods to improve your mental health rather than all of the oil based. Right. Rockefeller kind of stuff that we bought into for the last several generations of a psychological medicine?
B
Well, yes, psychotropic drugs is what you're talking about.
A
Yes, that is one of the things.
B
That I am hoping I try anyway to make known to people and try to change in our Mental health system.
A
Our mental health system is really in.
B
Bad shape because, because what has happened is that psychiatrists have become pill pushers.
A
Instead of doing therapy.
B
The only no pill, no medication.
A
Anxiety, depression, whatever you have, you know, whatever psychological problem you have, no medication.
B
Is going to cure it. What you need is psychotherapy is to.
A
Get to the root of it.
B
Now, medications can help with some symptoms. Some people do need medications, certainly with.
A
Psychotic disorders like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and so on. But, but that is not what, that.
B
Is not what people are getting these days. They're going to a psychiatrist and they're getting prescriptions. They're getting one prescription after the other. And yes, we have to go back.
A
To the things that volunteering, being kind, being introspective, you know, looking into ourselves.
B
And getting to the root of it, not, not thinking that we can. The quick solution is taking a pill or five of them. Dr. Carol Lieberman, great to have you here and Happy New Year to you. Thanks for the advice. Happy New Year. Thank you. Happy New Year to you, too. All right, coming up, liberals are outraged by President Trump adding his name to the Kennedy Center. A form of sacrilege, they say. We're back in a moment. All right, welcome back, everybody, to the New Year's Day special edition of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody. You know, I bet there are a lot of folks watching right now who could use a good cup of coffee. And we have your answer. 1775 Coffee. It's not just a brand, it's a stand. They've created something called Rejuvenate Roast. It's a bold, dark roast infused with CAA K. I know it sounds fancy, but here's the deal. It's a clinically studied compound shown to support healthy aging, fight inflammation, boost energy, and even reduce your biological age up to eight years. I mean, who doesn't want any of that? We want it all. And it's not some gimmick. It's real science being used in coffee that actually tastes incredible. I drink it every morning. It's phenomenal. And if clean energy and mental clarity are your thing, they've also got a mushroom coffee packed with, with five functional mushrooms, as opposed to non functioning mushrooms, by the way, that support your brain, body and focus. No jitters, no crash, just fuel that actually works and doesn't come from some corporate agenda factory. Everything they make, it's single origin, it's mold and toxin free. It's roasted fresh weekly in Miami and made by people who actually believe in free speech, truth and this country What a great blend. So to speak. So, yeah, look, I back it because it backs everything that we talk about right here on American Sunrise. So go to 1775 coffee.com rav you use the code RAV for 10% off and then you start your day with coffee. That stands for truth, health and freedom. Nothing better than that. Right? T. Bates, over to you, sir. Absolutely, David. I'm all on board. Well, now that we're caffeinated, it's time for you to stay awake, not woke. And who's woke today, you ask? Well, it would be liberals who are still clutching their pearls over the President's proposed behemoth ballroom. Left wing preservation activists are trying to stop President Trump from building the massive 90,000 square foot world class ballroom at the White House. It's a project the President says will be paid for with private money. Not a single taxpayer dime. The National Trust for Historic Preservation claims that Trump moved too fast and skipped red tape. Didn't even ask enough bureaucrats for permission before planning the upgrade. Translation here, they don't like that a president who actually gets things done is back in charge. Meantime, a federal judge refused to block construction for now. But the legal gains. The legal gains. Excuse me. Continue. With another hearing set for January, President Trump says the ballroom will restore American grandeur, host state events with the way that they should be hosted, and send a message loud and clear that America is done shrinking, apologizing and settling to be second best. We of course love all of this and look forward to seeing the done product. We also want to know what you think about all of this. Let us know on YouTube. Get a rumble. Hop on right now. A
All right, welcome back to this first American sunrise of 2026. Oh, Colby decided to hop up here and say, hello, I'm Dr. Gina. And it is time now for our moment of faith, brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible. And in focus today, the importance of faith in our current administration. President Trump has made faith a cornerstone of his administration, going so far as to set up a White House faith office to ensure that our moral compass as a nation is set in the right direction. Joining us now, a member of the White House Faith Council, Pastor Jackson Lehmeier. Pastor, welcome back to American sunrise. And happy 2026 to you. It is a really different time. You go to the White House, you feel it. Even from the first Trump administration, where you know, he was being president, he was doing the things. But once we saw what Joe Biden did to our White House, from the rainbow malarkey that he had to institute there to breaking all the traditions, et cetera, et cetera. Now, when you go to the White House, you do not miss the faith element. What has changed?
B
Well, I think it's an incredible thing. And Happy New Year. Hard to believe that it's 2026, but so much has changed in a year. To your point, if you remember Easter 2024 under Joe Biden, it was transgender visibility day. Right. And then all of a sudden, President Trump has come in and totally done away with the woke nonsense and is bringing us back to our roots as a Christian nation. And the president understands if we're going to make America great again, we have to do what made America great in the first place. We were rooted and we were built upon faith and freedom and family. And so, yes, when you go to the White House, the atmosphere is incredible because the president has requested pastors to constantly be there to pray, to worship, and to saturate the place in the presence of God. And you can feel it every time.
A
You go, yeah, don't need no sage, by the way, but you need people there praying and bringing that feeling of Christ consciousness. I don't know. I just made that up. It sounds a little woozy. I didn't mean it that way. But, you know, you need people there who are faithful, all fallen. Right, by the way, all flawed, all saved by the same grace. Right? That's what it's really about. But talk to us for a moment about those who say the detractors, right, those who say that this is anti, you name it, anti woman, anti homosexual, anti trans. This is about degrading people and pushing people away. Talk to us. Speak back to that.
B
Yeah. Well, to your point, it's the emphasis is anti this, anti that. And it's actually just pro God, pro America, pro family, pro Bible. And so I think the narrative, we have to push back on that a little bit because, you know, President Trump has been very clear that America was founded as a Christian nation. In fact, one of the highlights of the 250th celebration is going to be the founding of this country based upon Christian principles in the Bible. And so we have to change the narrative that, listen, if we're going to make America great again, we have to make America godly again. And that's why the president has called on. This is amazing. The president of the United States is instructing citizens in this country, go to church. Read your Bible. To me as a pastor. That is incredible that we have a commander in chief that is encouraging the people of this country to pray, go to church and read their Bible. What that will do is create a cultural shift. Shift some things you cannot do with policy. You cannot change the hearts of man with policy. However, the gospel can. And so we're seeing great things in our country right now. And a lot of credit goes to President Trump in this administration.
A
Amen to that. Pastor, tell us real quick where people can find your church.
B
Yes. Sheridan.church, tulsa, Oklahoma, Oklahoma City. And Dr. Gina, happy New Year. It's always good to be on with you.
A
Thank you so much. Pastor Jackson Lameyer. All right, we're back with the second hour of this special New Year's Day edition of American Sunrise. Two minutes. Stick around. We're coming right back at you.
B
Happy New Year to you and yours. We are welcoming you and 2021 six into our lives this morning. This as we look ahead to what lies ahead in this coming year. We're also looking forward as Americans are facing a health care crisis as sky high insurance premiums could more than double this year. We'll have details on that. Plus, some of the swamp monsters that dwell in D.C. and around our country have survived 2025. So where will they leave slime in their tracks in 2026? Find out as this special New Year's Day American Sunrise continues right now. Good morning America.
A
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you politics.
B
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida. We've got you covered. This is what it looks like to be a patriot. We have to protect the American family.
A
The American dream is still alive.
B
I'm David Brody. I'm terrence.
A
And I'm Dr. Gina.
B
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of the special New Year's Day edition of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. happy New Year, everybody. Let's bring in Dr. G in West Palm T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Happy New Year.
A
Wow.
B
Wow. Wow, David.
A
2026, you guys. Yeah, it's a big year.
B
It is a. It is a big year. I'm expecting big things from both of you. I'm already mailing it in for the rest of the year, but I'm expecting great things from both of you guys. Thank you. A lot of pressure. I appreciate that. Thank you. Oh, my goodness. Hey, look. So let's just get to a couple of quick headlines so that we can really have a good conversation. After a night of celebrating the new Year, many Americans are now waking up with the classic New Year's Day hangover. Doctors remind people that alcohol, dehydration and late night feasts can really leave you feeling tired, bloated, sluggish the next morning. Well, experts recommend simple remedies like drinking, drinking water, eating a balanced breakfast, and getting some light exercise to kick start off the year. Despite the liberal media's constant guilt trip, most Americans, though, do know how to celebrate responsibly while still enjoying life. And for many, the New Year hangover is simply a reminder of fun, family and friendly holiday traditions, proving that America still does know how to ring in the new year the right way. Not everyone overdid it last night, though. Some people waking up this morning on this first day of 2026 and putting their New Year's resolutions into action. Families and individuals alike are focusing on healthier lifestyles, stronger finances, more quality time with loved ones. Those are all classic American values that have stood the test of time. Experts say the key to succeed is to set a realistic goal, also make a plan and stay accountable. This new year, Americans are ready to embrace discipline, determination, and the values that keep our nation strong and prosperous. Finally, New Year's Day means one thing for so many Americans, and that would be football. Across the country, fans are going to be gathering in living rooms, sports bars and stadiums to watch classic college and professional matchups. For many, it's not just about the game. It's all about sharing an experience. New Year's football is a reminder that Americans know how to celebrate the holidays with passion, with tradition, and, of course, with pride. Happy New Year to each and every one of you. Hopefully 2026. Already off to a marvelous start for you. It's definitely off to a marvelous start for me because I get to start it with David and Dr. Gina. David, good morning. Good morning. Good morning. T. Bates, Right back at you. So to help us ring in the new year, we want to welcome in one of our RAB family members, an official party animal. That's my understanding. At least that's off the record. I think I just put it on the record. Brian Glenn, our chief White House correspondent. Brian, happy New Year. You got any New Year's resolutions that you plan to break in a week and a half? I might have. I might be breaking it the next five minutes, actually. Happy New Year to everyone. And I did wake up with no hangover. Didn't do any of that last night. But I do have, you know, I've got a couple New Year's resolutions. I had a show idea years ago entitled the Year I Quit My Life. I know it sounds kind of morbid, but let me explain. I want our viewers to know that if there's something in their life right now that they want to quit, it could be an addiction. It could be a bad habit. It could be I want to avoid talking about, you know, talking to certain people in my family or friends about certain subjects. So I just encourage everyone. Any toxic thing that's going on in your life, that is this year, right now is the time to quit your life. That's the previous life you had. It could be find a new spouse. It could be have, you know, in that toxic relationship that you have. It could be find a new job. It could be exercise more. Personally, what I'm probably going to break in the next five minutes is probably dipping into the comments section on social media. Guys, I need to get out of the comment section. It's nothing but a den of snakes. And I think that it brings everybody down. And get this. It is not reflective of the real world. So all the comments you read on X Instagram, Facebook, whatever platform, all those.
A
Negative, don't read them.
B
A lot of them aren't even humans. I just suggest you get out of it. Don't read them. It brings you down.
A
Yeah. And, you know, also you can make it on most social media. You can make it so only your friends can actually comment. And if you do that, everyone else is blocked from it. Then you never have to See all the malarkey that goes on. BRIAN and I think that's great advice, by the way, about blocking out toxicity, whether it's in laws. I mean, I'll tell you what, I've been trying to do this every single year. Like think about what in my life is not helping me be the best person I can be and whatever that is, that getting rid of it is more important than putting something in your life, a resolution that you're not going to keep. I think that is actually brilliant. BRIAN thank you. Brian I want to get your reaction to this Reuters headline too. Americans facing soaring health insurance costs may get a lifeline in 2026. Experts say what is the White House doing on this health care front, Brian In 2026, we listen and we talk about gas prices, we talk about energy prices, we talk about families feeling the economy that everybody wants to tell us is going so swimmingly. But most people I talk to say it is Obamacare. It is what has happened to our health care that is weighing them down the most. People are afraid to even go to the hospital. They know about the infection rates that aren't published. People are afraid to go to doctors because they feel like doctors lied to us during COVID BRIAN yeah, this is.
B
This is a big deal and I don't like the way Speaker Mike Johnson ended this previous session of the year didn't even bring anything to the floor for a vote whether or not it would pass or not on those ACA subsidies extensions. So but unfortunately, many Americans are going to wake up today, get the mail in a week or so. In a couple days, you might have already got a notice in the mail already that you're, your premiums are going to go up. But I think the positive thing that I think all of this has done, though, if there is a gleaming bit of light here, it has made people look at what they need as a policy. Personally, I have an hsa, a health savings account. For me personally, that works. You know, I've relatively in good health. I don't outside of getting hit by a beer truck and having to go, you know, go into the hospital for anything severe, which has coverage for that as well. So I just encourage everyone to take a deep look at your lifestyle. When was the last time you went to the doctor? What is your medical history and what do you actually need? Because I found the last month or so people going, you know what, I don't really think I need this policy. I think I'm better off having this policy. But whatever the case may be this administration, Republicans need to develop an off ramp of Obamacare and into a different system. I kind of love the open market. Can you imagine if you could shop for health insurance? Kind of like you. If you want to shop for a plumber and there's more people competing for your business, I think the rates come down, I think the benefits get better. And here's a fact for you real quick, a real kind of an odd fact. Accounts receivables for hospitals are much higher with people who have health insurance than people who don't. So people who go in there and do cash pay and pay it right there on the spot and, you know, zero out their account, those guys. Hospitals would almost rather you have cash pay than insurance because they are carrying millions and millions of dollars of unpaid benefits that take months to come in. So their accounts receivables are much higher on people who actually have health insurance.
A
Yeah. And one more note before we. I want to turn it to Terrence. But this is such a great example, Brian, of just because something needs to be done doesn't mean government's the one to do it. People are like, oh, we all need health care. Well, yes, of course we need health care. Doesn't mean government's the one to do it. We all need education. Of course we need education. Doesn't mean government. We all need charity. Government is not the one to do it. Government has a very specific role, and when you give it power, it absolutely corrupts. Sorry. Go ahead, Terrence. Gina, soapbox for New Year's Day. First one of 2026, by the way.
B
You were good, by the way. You had me. You had me at plumber. I just had a plumber out the other day because we had a leak under the sink and he charged me 250 bucks to quite literally tighten a bolt. I'm still mad about that.
A
Now I know what I'm gonna get you for your birthday, Terrence. A wrench.
B
A wrench. Yeah. Had I known, trust me, Dr. Gina, had I known, I could have saved myself $250 just for a boat. Aye, aye, aye. Anyway, Brian, let's look at 2026. What is your expectation in terms of priorities for the administration? Obviously, we've talked about health care. Affordability is one of those key words that we often hear about. President Trump has said that there may be some refund checks from the IRS or just refund checks in general, potentially as high as $20,000. Obviously, there's a lot on the table. Where do you see the priorities being? I think it's still a focus on the economy. And the Trump administration told me just weeks ago that as they get into this new year, they are to focus on doing these little, little town hall like events, little small economic rallies like he's been doing, like in North Carolina and out in Pennsylvania. So he's going to focus on the economy, but then it's going to shift to more of the 2026 midterms and that's going to go into campaign mode. And we've got certain, obviously your swing states, you're going to be focusing on that, but it's going to go into campaign mode. And unfortunately for politicians in the House, in the Senate and Congress, that's when they get a little bit more, less, you know, aggressive on their messaging as far as what they want to. They go back into campaign mode. That's safe mode. So unfortunately, from what we can see, that's not when you typically get a lot of things done because their mind, their messaging has shifted a little bit. But President Trump is going to focus on the economy. And by talking to people over at Amfest just a few weeks ago, some of those, some of the economic policies will be, we're going to have a stronger Q1 than expected. So maybe it won't be as much on the economy. In other words, Democrats are going to have to find other ways to fight us. It won't be just high inflation because that's come way down. It won't be even affordability because those things are going to start to take place. So Democrats have got to find another messaging to attack Republicans. That's when it's probably going to get a little bit more aggressive on that. But as long as President Trump and the administration and the messaging continues to be domestically make our lives better, you can't lose the midterms. But we need people in the House and the Senate to make sure these bills that Speaker Johnson has go so far for a vote. And let's codify these executive orders that President Trump has laid out. Yeah, quick follow up on that. 30 seconds or less. What do you think in terms of the Republicans keeping the House? If you're, what's your best guess? Is it 50? 50? Is it crapshoot? Who knows? You know, I saw a stat the other day that had it about a 60% lean to the Democrats have taken it 40% Republicans, I think. Let's get through the, let's get, let's get the economic data from the shopping and the New Year's and all that stuff. Let's see the consumer confidence. Because if the consumer confidence is high and we see kind of a little bit more of spending and people, Americans feel like they have more money, I think we win. I think Republicans can take control. Ryan, Glenn, great to have you. Appreciate it. The only thing I, I mean, this was such a great conversation. But of course, all I'm taking from this is the fact that I don't want to get hit by a beer truck and that Gina said the word malarkey.
A
I said malarkey.
B
I didn't say malarkey. You channeled your owner, Biden. You did. As long as that beer truck is not a Miller white biller truck, I'm okay. So if it's a Modelo or, you know, maybe a Sam Adams beer trucking on Miller light car, we gotta go see a. Gotta go. All right, see you.
A
Happy New Year, babe.
B
Bye bye. Happy New Year. We're back in a moment. Welcome back to this special New Year's Day edition of American Sunrise. Happy New Year to you. Happy 2026. I'm Terrence Bates. As always, it's great to have you along for the ride. It is now time to drain the swamp, though. And today we are flushing out the swamp. Get ready. That sound you just heard, you're going to hear a whole lot of it today. All right, let's get it going, folks. First up, failed Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris. She's the only politician who can turn a simple question into a 40 car pile up of word salad. Her 107 days book tour, which was a coast to coast blame game where everyone caused her failed campaign except for Kamala Harris is one of the things we want to talk about. Yes, there was also cackling there. Always the cackling, of course. And then next there's Tim Walls, Kamala's failed vice presidential running mate who turned Minnesota into a swamp petri dish. The billion dollar feeding our future fraud, of course, is something that we talked a lot about at the end of 2025 was the biggest Covid food scam in America. Money for kids gone, fake meals, kickbacks, cash, overseas Somali fraud rings, cashing in. And Walls, of course. Yeah, that was a reality. And they were all more worried about woke optics than stopping a billion dollar heist. Don't worry though, his wife said, says it's time to turn the page. We're flushing her too. On to the next disaster now. Gold bar Bob Menendez, the former New Jersey senator who turned his house into a treasure hunt. FBI found cash in boots, golden Ziploc bags and Corruption in every single corner. Now a convicted felon and the poster child of DC Decay. That, of course, was Bob Menendez. And last but definitely not least, well, you can add Barack Obama to the list. The swamp creature who never left the building. The former president still lurking behind the curtains, pulling strings, and now facing a grand jury probe into the 2016 election targeting President Trump. The shadow operator of the Biden years, the architect of the Trump witch hunts, the original swamp strategist who never stopped playing the game, looking for the final boss of the swamp. Well, you just found him. So we say, well, folks, it is a new year, and the names may change, but the swamp monsters, well, they just keep crawling out. The good news is they're getting a lot easier to spot these days. Let's bring in Dr. Gina and David to discuss a little bit more. All right, lady and gentleman, happy 2026. So let's. Let's kind of flesh out this list of swamp monsters. David, your thoughts? Who should be on it? Who did I miss? Well, I mean, there's so many. Being that I live in D.C. you know, there's a long list for sure. But how about Nancy Pelosi? I know she's leaving D.C. but we should give her a farewell swamp party. I mean, don't you think?
A
A flush. One little flush for Nance.
B
Yeah, One last flush, if we could. And maybe a double flush would be nice one. And there'll be a second one coming soon. I can hear it now. And there it is. Because that's very nicely, Gina. I think Nancy Pelosi and her whole stock portfolio need to leave the swamp. Though I will say she has made a lot of folks richer because they follow her insider trading moves.
A
That is true. That is true. A lot of friends who made a lot of money. All they did was follow her stock buys. Amazing. Very smart, very simple.
B
I'm just gonna go on out there on a bit of a ledge here, and I'm gonna add Mitch McConnell to it. Good riddance. Time for him to go. He definitely hasn't been a friend to President Trump. I think he's been pretty swampy in the past couple of years. I'm gonna go on and add him to the list as well. You are gonna add him? Feel free. Chuck Schumer. There you go. There you go. There's a lot of people we could add to it. All right, guys, we'll take a quick break, and we'll continue to think of who all. Who else should be on our swamp monster list. But coming up, we've Got advice on how to learn from the biggest stock market surprise stories of 2025 to help your chances of having a profitable 2026? Just follow Nancy Pelosi. You might do. All right, welcome back, everybody, to the special, this special New Year's Day edition of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody. Time now for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. And on this New Year's Day, we are thrilled to introduce Ed Butowski, the managing partner of Chapwood Investments with us. Ed, happy New Year. Look, as we begin this new year, a lot of people starting to think about their investments for the year. I got to tell you, I thought I did pretty well last year with my 401. I invested a lot in makeup, clearly. What's your take about next year? What do you think? Well, happy New Year to all of you. So I don't believe because the calendar has changed that economic conditions have changed. And that's one of the big fallacies and big faults that people make is that they think they have to make a change because the calendar has changed. But economic conditions have not changed. We have a slower US economy even though we grew at 4.3% recently. And we have most likely lower interest rates coming, which is going to stimulate growth in a lot of our small companies. So I think that the one change you might make is transferring from big companies to smaller companies because smaller companies proportionally get helped a lot more by lower interest rates. So the cost of capital being lower proportionally helps small value and small growth companies more. Hey, Ed, I'm curious to get your take on this part of the economic story, if you will. The numbers seem to be high. Obviously the Trump administration touts this major resurgence and really victories when it comes to the economy. But many Americans don't necessarily feel it. The reality doesn't necessarily represent the perception out there. From a professional perspective. What are you hearing, what are you hearing from your clients even as it relates to how their portfolios are looking versus the reality of the markets? Well, my clients portfolios all have some sort of income. They either have income plus growth or growth plus income. But there's always some form of income coming into their portfolio. So lower interest rates are going to help them. But at the same time, one of the things that people need to focus on is that interest rates are going to be a main driver of everything that's going to happen in 2026. And as long as you have interest rate sensitive investments, you're going to do very well. So everybody needs to have some form of income producing investments in their portfolios. Dr. Gina, can I just follow up real quick? Because when you talk about interest rates, obviously that brings to mind a conversation about the Fed, which we're expecting will have some huge changes. Obviously it starts with leadership. There's going to be a new Fed chair and then there's going to be pressure on the Fed, one would imagine, from President Trump to in fact fact drop interest rates, even if it's not necessarily what appears to to Fed regulators as the ideal policy move. How do you jive all of that? Well, I think that whoever he picks, he will have already predetermined if they're going to be bearish or dovish or, excuse me, hawkish or dovish on interest rates. And I believe that he's going to select somebody who's going to be like minded with him. Every president wants lower interest rates. There's never been a president that doesn't want lower interest rates. So I believe that he's going to pick somebody, maybe Haslett to be the next Fed chair. But Powell is definitely going to be out. There's no question about that. I would put all the money in the world that Powell is going to be out. I'm torn between, I'll raise you on that one.
A
Torn between two questions here, Ed. The first one I'm going to ask you is what exactly do the handouts that are coming to some Americans in lower middle income brackets, somewhere between 11,000 and $20,000, some are saying what does that really do to an economy when you do that?
B
Well, it stimulates buying, and everybody wants consumers out there buying things because there's a multiplier effect. But there is also a drain on our budget. And our budget deficit is something that's going to bite us at some point in time. There's so many different ways that politicians dance around that. But having more money in everyone's pocket is a positive thing as long as they save it or invest it. But if they go out and spend it, then there's more tax dollars that go into the US Government. So that's a positive. So overall, it's a positive, but there's a drain on our budget deficit.
A
Yeah, I wondered about that also. Real quick, I just want to ask you, Ed, President Trump taking a lot of criticism for some of the businesses he's been building up on the side that his family is benefiting from, the left is losing their minds over this. It promises to be a key issue in the midterm elections. Ed, what do you do about the fact that, you know, you want to create generational wealth for your kids, and all of a sudden you're president and you feel like you've been to hell and back by your enemies and you have the opportunity to invest around the world? What do you make of this? Do they have a legitimate point, this insider stuff that they're asserting?
B
Well, you can't have it both ways. You can't have Nancy Pelosi and the rest of Congress being able to use insider information to trade. And if you were president and you've been through what he's been through, you know what, what the hell, I mean, just let them do it. If it's legal, you know what? It might not look good. And you also have to look at djt, Trump Media and try to understand what exactly it is that they're building, because they have a financial services business. They have a bitcoin or cryptocurrency business. Now they have this fusion company, and it's kind of a hodgepodge of different businesses. So I'm not really sure the direction of where that business is going. I do know they need a lot of cash, but the president's being very, very careful and kind of keeping himself separate from that. And you know what? If he's in that position, he can do it. More power to him. We elected him, so let him do it. Speaking about President Trump, what about tariffs? Obviously, he's a big fan of tariffs. He did that in his first year. He doesn't plan to let up. It doesn't sound like in his second year here. What do you think? Where are you on tariffs exactly from an economic standpoint and what has happened since he started implementing them? Yeah, I'm kind of in the minority here. I don't think tariffs are a big deal to the economy because if you're buying a washing machine from Mexico and you're Samsung and you're importing it, Samsung is actually writing that check, not the government of Mexico. And we only import about 22% of what we use in this country. And it's broadly diverse. So it's not just games and widgets and food. It's broadly, broadly diversified between many different sectors. So I don't believe it's going to be a big burden on the economy at all. All right, all right. I think that's gonna do it for us. It's been what, what a show. We decided it's over. Yeah, it's over. I'm sorry. I was just talking to my mother in law on text real quick, so I apologize. Thanks, Ed. Take care. All right, bye. Still to come on. Still to come on this special New Year's Day edition of American Sunrise, the celebrations are over and the countdown to the 2026 midterms terms are on. Why the MAGA base is mobilizing like never before. We're taking the political pulse of America. That's right after the break.
A
Happy New year, everybody. Happy 2026. Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Dr. G. If you are just tuning in, we are so happy to have you with us and we invite you to hop in our conversation over on YouTube, getter and rumble. It is time now to take the political pulse of America. The beat today. America's midterm test celebrations have ended and now the countdown to 2020 officially underway. The midterms ahead carry real weight. Controls of Congress, the balance of power, the future of America's agenda all in play. Voters looking for results, a stronger economy, secure communities, leaders who actually put the country first. And across the nation, the America first movement is mobilizing, determined, organized, and ready to make these midterms matter. This year isn't just about elections. It's about direction. The countdown begins and the momentum starts right now. You know, David and Terrence, I think I'm bringing you guys in. There you are. It's going to be an interesting year. A lot of celebrating. We've got, of course, the 1776, 250 anniversary. I'm embarrassed to tell you that I actually remember the 200th anniversary. I don't know what that says me too, but I was in the bicentennial play in my town with a little bonnet being like a I don't know, but I don't think I'll be doing that this time. But yeah, there's going to be a lot of celebrating a lot about America and a midterm election that promises to really sort of set the course for the next 50 years.
B
Terrence yeah, I'm very curious about this midterm election. One of the things that I've been talking a lot about in private circles are the number of members of Congress, members of the US House who are leaving to run for local office who may not be running for reelection. And I'm curious how that ultimately is going to impact the balance of power in the U.S. house and the midterm elections. I think it might be and this is just again, I get where we're almost, you know, nine months, 10 months away from this happening, but I think it might be a little bit tighter than many of us Republicans expected. I hope not. I hope some good candidates will come forward to fill the void of those candidates who may be leaving or running for local office. But I mean, state wide office, statewide.
A
Yeah, none are leaving for local, I'm pretty sure. I wish, I wish they had the.
B
Humility running for governor in many cases, most members of Congress who are going to be running for statewide office are running for governor. And so I hope some some very strong candidates will come in and fill in, fill in those spots and hopefully be good candidates and win so that we keep the balance of power in the House. But I think it might be a little tight. DAVID I think the resignations is a bit overblown. And here's why. As I look inside the numbers. Yeah, here's why, because as I look inside the numbers, most of these seats are pretty safe districts. Now, I'm not suggesting that it's going to be just as maga as a, you know, Andy Biggs, for example, or, you know, the candidate might not be as maga, and that's a problem, obviously. But in terms of the R behind their name, I think the Rs will most of them will remain Rs, and I say most of them. And that kind of goes to your point, T. Bates, which is most of them might not get the job done. In other words, if it's most of them but not all of them and the margin is so tight, that could flip the House. But I think overall it should be fine as it relates to the resignations. Having said that, Donald Trump's not on the ballot. And that's the bottom line. I mean, he's gonna do his town halls, he's gonna do his speeches, he's gonna do his rah rah. And then when you walk in there, he's just not on the ballot. And there's just a difference. There's just a difference when. Go ahead. Tina.
A
Yeah, there's no real heir apparent to Donald Trump. I know he's trying to say it's J.D. vance, but there's a lot of pushback to that. We have Ted Cruz who apparently is funding an opposition movement to the JD Vance thing. We have the whole Desantis terrorist faction. Let's not forget about it. It's very active. It's out there. It's in social. We have the whole Israel divide. We have the America first versus MAGA divide. We have a lot going on that we've never really had. It's been decades since there were was a true division, I think among conservatives, true conservatives, and there is a true division of what people see as the future of America is varied for the first time, at least as far as I can remember, since Obama proposed Obamacare. That's the last time I remember any sort of division along these lines. Terrence I don't know and I'm not gonna lie, I'm gonna always be transparent with this audience. This is the elephant in the room and I think we have to talk about it. I don't think we get anywhere unless we do talk about it.
B
Terrence no, absolutely. The discussions need to be had. And let's just be honest, these discussions are being had behind closed doors from Capitol Hill to Columbia, South Carolina. I mean, the conversations are absolutely being had and need to be had. And the reality is that Republicans in particular, that's our focus, obviously, are going to need to rally the wagon and make sure the tent is up and bring everyone in and find common ground. You disagree? David no, no, I don't. But I just want to quickly kind of summarize and say that the controversy kind of in a nutshell is this. What is MAGA post Trump? That's really what we're talking about here. J.D. vance represents more of that isolationist, I hate to use that word, but it is that's the best word I can come up with right now. Cuz I'm not saying he's pure isolationist, but he leans that way, way. And he's more isolationist than President Trump. That's clear. Just ask mtg. So there's that way. And then there's the Ted Cruz way, which is full on. You know, some would call him a neocon, right? That way. And then there's Rubio, who's kind of interesting, right, because he kind of splitting the difference a little bit. He's kind of, he is a neocon, but at the same time he's backed a lot of Trump's vision. I mean, I feel like Trump is in the middle of a JD Vance and a Ted Cruz. And who's gonna be able to fill that middle vacuum of what MAGA truly is? Cuz maga. Look, MAGA is not purely isolationist. This idea that MAGA is totally isolationist is not true. Just look at poll after poll. MAGA folks in MAGA are not only pro Israel, but they want to make sure that America is safe based on certain intervention when we need to. They're not. They're not for endless wars. They're not for just going into countries and nation building. That's not what I'm saying. But they are for making sure America is safe around the world in certain spots. So yeah, anyhow.
A
Well, David, you know, look, it's three years away. Midterms might bring our nation to a breaking point. There's no one better to discuss that than the host of our own Breaking point right here. Unreal. America's voice, David Zier. David, you know, there is this divide is the elephant in the room. Nobody wants to talk about it. I don't want to talk about division. I wish we were all united. But the reality is that that is not the case and it really is. You've been around since the Tea Party. David Zier. The reality is I've never seen this sort of division. How will this impact midterms?
B
Well, we got to get our act together there because the early voting starts in nine or 10 months. And by the way, happy New Year.
A
Happy new year.
B
And 18 incumbents are leaving Congress or retiring. I think, I think seven Republicans, 11 Democrats as of the other day. But the GOP has a seven seat lead right now, I think with two vacancies. A special where Al Green was redistricted out of the 9th in Texas. He'll run in the special in the 9th district. And then New Jersey Governor Mikey Sherrill, seats vacant, will be filled again with a Democrat. The Republicans can only afford to lose a few seats. And the aggregate of the last 13 polls have the Congress going plus four to the Dems. One poll has them up 16. And Mike Johnson, you know, set a turning point, to paraphrase him, that we needed a united front going forward. I just want to add the Dems are targeting new swing districts. California's 48th with Darrell Isser who is toying a run in Texas, but staying in that San Diego area. Florida's 15th in Tampa, North Carolina's third and 11th, vulnerable to the Democrats probably will stay red. Republicans will add another seat probably in North Carolina in the first district with Don Davis. And I got more state breakdowns for you. Well, let's talk about the states specifically. Yeah, I bet you do for sure. In terms of the states, I mean, are we looking at the same. When you say you mentioned California 48, which reminds me of Southern California obviously in that area, the Oculus. And then you've got out west of, I say west, excuse me, east of New York, out in Long Island. Are you looking at like those type of areas specifically and are there others? Well, I'm looking at vulnerable districts due to redistricting. At an other, you know, there's seats where there's going to be big gains for the Democrats. Four in Virginia, maybe, maybe, or maybe three or four in New Jersey going blue. Indiana lost their bid. Right. The GOP to get those two Dem seats to become Republican. And Texas faces challenges where Trump won in double districts in those Southern Texas districts that were redistricted and map was held up. Trump's not an automatic win. These congressmen are not an automatic win over there because the Latino communities, Hispanics may not go for the Republicans. Henry Cuellar, Vincent Gonzalez still have a chance to stay in office down there. Utah is going to pick up one Democratic seat. There's so much going on here and it's important and the Dems are going to make an issue of the struggle in economy. You know, I was in the House on Capitol Hill last week and I pressed Democratic senator from Massachusetts Richard Neal on isn't interest rates the answer? Because they're unleashing this American Affordability act and it's going to be the Cornerstone of the 2026 Midterms for the Democrats. So they're going to be be obstinate until that so they can get in front of the American people because there's some centrist stuff in there and first time buyer home opportunity incentives, middle class tax incentives. But it's really just like another inflation reduction act and it's a big giveaway. But this is going to have popularity and I'm really worried, you know, that things may not heat up fast enough in the economy even though Trump's economy is going to take off and Interest rates are coming down. You know, I am worried that the Republicans may cede power in September, November. Hey, David, we've got about. Sorry, David. We've got about a minute left. And so I definitely want to get to what's coming up in Breaking Point in this new year. What are some of your plans? What are some of the storylines you'll be following? Well, I'm going to be a little festive this year. I've got more footage of a concert that was held at the America first warehouse with Natasha Owens, who wrote the song Trump won after 2020. And it was really nice. And Al Kiever, this brilliant gospel guitarist. I'm gonna show footage of that and I have some interviews with some the Warrior Ranch foundation, helping people with PTSD who served in our military. And I'm gonna give a breakdown on these races. And you know, stay tuned for Breaking Point.
A
All right. We sure will. Promises to be a great year on breaking point in 2026. David Zier, thanks for being here.
B
Happy New Year. Thank you, everybody. Happy New Year.
A

That's artilleryteco.com it's premium tea that's mission driven and brewed for the brave. All right, let's get right into what's in the cup today. And the one thing that's more overdue than taking down your Christmas tree in March is Donald Trump's Nobel Peace Prize win. While other presidents got the prize for vibes and hope, President Trump brokered four Middle east peace deals, de escalated conflicts from Armenia to South Asia, and helped negotiate the 2025 Israel Hamas ceasefire that brought hostages home. Now half the planet is nominating him. From Europe to Pakistan to leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, all of them saying the very same thing. Quote, this guy actually delivered peace. In true Trump fashion, he just renamed the US Institute of Peace the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace. It's a fitting name for the president who ended more wars than some of his, some of these career diplomats have ever even read about. So as we kick off 2026, here's a question for you and for the Nobel Committee. If this isn't a peace prize resume, what exactly is? Let's bring in Dr. Gina and David to flesh all of this out. So we all agree that Dr. The, Dr. Trump, the president Trump, excuse me, is absolutely worthy of this honor. Will it happen? And Dr. Gina, what do you think has been his biggest effort towards peace globally, in your mind?
A
Here's what I know. Every single event for the next la la la years is going to be named the Liberty Patriots Peace Prize for Donald Trump. It doesn't matter what the event is. Every event I'm invited to for the next year, and there are a lot of events here, are all creating a new peace prize for Donald Trump. I think as I talk about all the time on this show, Parallel Economy, I think the Nobel Peace Prize, much like many things, I mean, look what's happened to all of the woke movements, all of the woke institutions, all of the woke restaurants, all of the woke beer companies. It doesn't matter if you're woke, you're broke. And the Nobel Peace Prize is woke and it will be broke. That's what I think, David. I think it's irrelevant.
B
I totally think it's irrelevant. And I know if and when he wins the Nobel Peace Prize, we'll say coming up today on American Sunrise, and we'll make a big deal, and everybody will make a big deal about, because I get it. It's The Nobel Peace Prize. I couldn't give a rip. Look, this is the Norwegian Nobel Committee, made up of five members. Yeah, that's it. Five Norwegians screwing a light bulb. No, I don't know. There's a joke somewhere in there. The point is, come on. I mean, these are five. Seriously, it's. The five Norwegians are going to decide who's the most PC president out there or PC person out there. PC well, you know what I'm trying to say anyhow. P, E, A, C Y. I'm with you. P A C. My point simply is, I think that's how you just as stupid. It's stupid. It is. It's stupid.
A
We hear procedures, but it's fair happened. This show would have Emmys. Right. Affair happened. Amazing actors that we see on TV would have Academy Awards. The list goes on. This isn't a fair world. Create your own. Create your own reality. Parallel economy.
B
Fingers crossed President Trump will be a Nobel laureate and get the Peace Prize. Still ahead, we're taking a look back at our most defining moments of 2025. All of this as we begin to look forward to this new year. We're back with a special edition of American Sunrise in two minutes.
A
All here we are. Welcome back to the almost first show of 2026. Conclusion almost concluded. Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thank you so much. I didn't get that sentence. Look, I'm tired. It's been a long week. Yes, but a great one. It is time now for our sunnyside up in the pan. Today as we begin a new year, we want to look back on the moments we loved most in 2025. Terrence, what have been the most wonderful things that have happened to you this past year, personally or professionally? Dr. Gina Both, both.
B
And both financially or otherwise? No. So look, obviously this show, this show is. It's where I spent most of my time, you know, most of my time is spent with you guys, either preparing for the show or during the show. And it's been a blessing. Being here with both of you has been a blessing. Serving this community of patriots has been a blessing. I see it that way. And I'm looking forward to what 2026 has in store, not just for our country, but what each and every one of us brings to the table in order to just move our own spheres of influence forward and hopefully create a more patriotic and more loving environment. That's what I'm looking forward to. And one of the things that I give thanks for. Dr. Gina David, professionally, the Charlie Kirk Memorial there was the most moving experience that I've ever covered in my career. But on a personal note, my daughter beating cancer. Praise God. And honestly, if I could just do an addendum on that. Gina, you're the best. You've got so much going on in your life, and you have such a big heart. And you took the lead with my daughter, and our family will never forget it. And I just want to give you a personal shout out.
A
I love your family. I love both of your families. And yeah, I have to say, professionally, doing this show every day with. With the two of you and with our team we have here amass at this point is so special and so unique and so lovely. And I want to say also, just having a savior that has brought me through more moments like the one we share in Jesus Christ has been really the epicenter, not just of this show and the people that work on it, but of this audience of patriot warriors that you mentioned. Terrence. So, so beautiful in so many ways and supporting each other and uplifting each other. And then just being a mama of adults is so fun. Getting to know these little people that somehow came out of me. And for better and for worse. Cause, like, it's just the whole thing is so beautiful. And how much they love family and how much to see them interact is so cool. So I could go on literally all day. And Kobe and all my puppies, all my fur babies. You guys are the best audience out there, and we appreciate you more than you know. We love you and can't wait to share 2026 with you. Happy New Year to everyone. Speaking of things we're thankful for, Steve Bannon's war room is up next. How your children love God. Go boldly now. Look at that crew.
B
Thank you for watching. I love it. Ain't nobody want to hear you, Colin.
A
I do.
B
Colin, we're off to a great start.
A
You guys go get it. 2026 is happening. Let's. Let's take that tiger by the tail.
B
Sky Lombardo. Is this Lawrence? Wel, who is this?
A
I don't know, but it's better than.
