Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina. All right, everybody, Good morning. I'm Dr. G. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David Brody. He's in Washington, D.C. terrence Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good Morning, guys.
Terrence Bates
Morning, Dr. Jean and David. Good morning. Good morning to both of you.
Dr. Gina
These cold temperatures in Florida, it's like 70 degrees this morning. We are freezing. The poor iguanas are rocking.
David Brody
How. How cold did you say?
Dr. Gina
I know that doesn't sound that cold, but you can ask the guys in the control room.
Terrence Bates
That cold.
Dr. Gina
It is. It is actually really cold. It is really cold here. 55.
David Brody
55.
Dr. Gina
It got down to 55 last night.
David Brody
Get the puffer jacket, T. No.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
Terrence Bates
Oh, my goodness. I'm just looking here to see how cold it. It's so cold here. It's just cold. You don't even say, oh, it's 35, it's 40. It's just cold. Straight up cold. Temperature forecast. Cold.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah.
Terrence Bates
All right, guys, so look, go ahead. I'm sorry, Dr. Jeannie, you were going to say.
Dr. Gina
I was just agreeing that when you're in those cold temperatures, you just go cold. But in Florida, we're all possessed with like, what's the temperature? Oh, my goodness. It got below 60. It got, you know. Yeah.
Terrence Bates
What I would give for 60 degree temperatures, even 55. All right, let's get to some of the big stories of the day some of the talkers. President Trump raising eyebrows this morning for a letter that he sent to Norway's president, saying, in part, and this is a quote, considering your country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped eight wars plus, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of peace. He then followed up that letter by releasing a number of text messages from NATO secretary and from. For one, the secretary then praising President Trump on Syria, saying that he wants to find a way forward on Greenland. He also says that he'll highlight the President's work during media availabilities this week in Davos. President Trump also releasing text messages from French President Emmanuel Macron, who said that he's looking forward to working with the President on Iran. Also doesn't necessarily understand the President's plan for Greenland, but he'd like to have dinner with the President in Paris. Guys, there's so much that's happening surrounding the President, particularly leading up to his remarks in Davos tomorrow morning. I don't know about you, but forget Pop tarts. I've got my popcorn ready for tomorrow morning.
David Brody
Yeah, there's no doubt. By the way, I wanna have dinner in Paris. Not with Macron, but I would like to have dinner in Paris.
Dr. Gina
Although.
David Brody
Yes.
Dr. Gina
I mean, if I were gonna have dinner with Macron anywhere, it might be there, because at least he'd know how to, like, order and everything.
David Brody
That is a good point. You know, I never thought of the etiquette aspect of it in the whole. You're right, that's a good point. Anyhow, back to.
Terrence Bates
For you guys. Sorry. Since you guys talked about dinner, like the fat guy went to. Would you guys eat escargot in Paris?
David Brody
I don't think I'd eat escargot in Jersey.
Dr. Gina
I love escargot. Why? Why not?
Terrence Bates
Me too, Dr. Gina. Me too, Dr. Gina. You've got taste, David, from your pizza choices, we know you don't, so go ahead. What point were you gonna make otherwise?
David Brody
Some hating words right off the top of the shelf. All right, so I don't even know what we're talking. Oh, yeah, I remember what we were talking about. Greenland. I say Greenland because you mentioned the whole thing with the Nobel Peace Prize letter and the whole thing. Look, here's the thing. This World Economic Forum, that's kind of the, quote, headline, but no, it's not. Spoiler alert. It's a summit about Greenland. That's what. For America's interest. This is what this has turned into because President Trump has said he's going to be talking with other nations there on the sidelines, if you will, about Greenland. And I want to be a fly on the wall. And the way Trump sees it here is that he's a real estate guy, as we all know. So he's looking and going, show me the contract. Greenland. Do you have anything signed? You got nothing signed. You don't have Greenland. That's what he's saying. I mean, as a matter of fact, he said that before he boarded Air Force One last night. He literally said that. He goes, where's the contract? And you know what? Here's the answer. There is no contract. He is right. Here's the thing. Denmark's had it since the 1700s. The United States has signed off on many agreements saying, yes, Denmark has sovereignty over Greenland. So they're going to have to kind of quote, figure that out. Everybody wants an off ramp on Greenland except for Trump. He's driving Gina right down the highway. He doesn't want an off ramp. He's going full steam ahead.
Dr. Gina
Well, it makes a lot of sense why he's there then, doesn't it? A lot of people were asking that question at the beginning. Let's check out today's Bible verse. You all from Jeremiah 29:11, when we all know. Well, for I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. The World Economic Forum, as we were just discussing the annual meeting continuing today, RAV is on the ground for all of it. And President Trump says he's agreed to a meeting regarding Greenland. He posted on Truth Social that he spoke to NATO Secretary Mark Ruddy and agreed to sit down in Davos. Trump also said Greenland is imperative for national security. Let's bring in the host of the right news show, Javier Negre, who is at the forum. Javier, what can you tell us about these meetings? Where will all of this end? On Greenland. And do you agree with Dave Brody's synopsis that that's what Davos is all about for President Trump?
Javier Negre
We have to get more information about the meeting that Persian Trump is going to have. We are in Davos right now in Promenade. We are in one of the main hotels in the Hard Rock Hotels where a lot of meetings are coming up. And in the US House, I have to tell you that the interest of investing with Trump administration is so big right now in Davos and the queue is very long. Everybody wants to meet the Trump administration. Everybody wants to meet Trump. Everybody wants to invest in Argentina with The President Milei and Trump is going to have important meetings tomorrow with Zelensky, the Ukrainian Prime Minister. He's going to have meetings with other head of states. He's going to talk about tariffs. He's going to talk about the new order that he's doing right now, like taking care of the peninsula, arresting he arrests Maduro and he's the guy of the, he's the president of the moment, the peace president. And Everybody, all the CEOs or the world that are right now in this tiny town called Davos in Switzerland wants to have meeting with the Trump administration. I, I can, I am watching how the secretaries of Trump administration are working. Yesterday we had a dinner with the Bahrain the government like and people wants to invest a lot of money. United States the same of Saudi families and Asian people wants to invest a lot of money. All the European countries. We are really excited to see Trump tomorrow in his speech and other meetings that he's going to have with really important people. Some of the meetings are confidential. Other they are going to be public. Of course the topic about Greenland is going to be in the agenda because Trump right now, he managed everything. You have to see what he did to the President Macron of France that the President Macron, he doesn't want to be in the, in the border of peace and he's going to have like more tariffs for France. So now he has the power is the new order of Trump. And people want to follow his guideline. If you are not following the America first guideline, you are out of the business, out of the new order of Trump. But it's really impressive when you go to the U.S. house and everybody wants to know the Trump administration, the secretary and low queues, AI CEOs, you know, energy CEOs, mining CEO. I can tell you that right now United States is the country of freedom, the country more welcome in the world to make business.
David Brody
Javier David Brody here, you mentioned obviously that we have the World Economic Forum, we have what's going on in Greenland and that's all going to be discussed. And then you mentioned the Board of Peace because indeed that will also come up. As a matter of fact, my understanding is after his speech the next day, he's holding some sort of charter signing ceremony for the Board of Peace there in Davos. And now we understand and the president confirmed it late last night that Russian President Vladimir Putin has been invited to join this Board of Peace. I'm sorry, I'm scratching my head and I need smelling salts after I heard that what's your view?
Javier Negre
I, I don't have a lot of information about that. What I can tell you, it's like Putin is invited. The United States wants to have good relationship with all the countries. You have to see how United States could arrest it like he Trump, like Trump administration arrested Maduro without having defense from Russia, from Iran. So they are making good international efforts with other countries. So I think Putin should be in the war of peace. Trump wants to have a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia. And I think that Zelensky and Putin have to make peace for their people. You know, people is being killed and it's very important. And Trump wants to beat the peace Nobel Prize next year. He stopped like nine wars. Isaac, of course in Gaza, in Palestine against Israel. I think it's very important for Putin to be in that peace, to make this with confronting. So we're very happy to be in Davos. It's really hard to get here, $40,000 like to have a little apartment in the Promenade street. But what I feel is the fever for the maritime.
Dr. Gina
We're having some trouble with your connection. So I think we'll let you go so that we can kind of wrap this because we couldn't hear him very well. But doesn't sound like there's a lot more information there regarding that appointment, David, than we have here.
David Brody
No, but we should get some more in the next 48 hours for sure.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, sounds like that for sure. All right. Well, thank you to Javier for joining us. Coming up, we check out the hottest headlines from the RAP newsroom with Terrence Bates. Also later, the Iran Internet blackout. The Islamic regime says it could reinstate service after protests rattled the country. What prompted this move? We're going to tell you about it. We have updates and more just ahead right here on American Sunrise.
Steve Gruber
This news break is brought to you by AMAC association of Mature American Citizens.
David Brody
White House on a Tuesday. President Trump, still in Washington, will be heading later this evening. He'll be heading to Davos. And of course, we are live rad, live on the ground in Davos. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. I'm David Brody. Coming up, the Board of peace and the cast of characters that will be included, we think on the board of Peace. Well, look, there's Vladimir Putin. He's been invited to join. Why not? Don't get me started. First T. Bates standing by with the latest headlines from the Real America's Voice newsroom. Sponsored by amac.
Steve Gruber

Terrence Bates
David just mentioned it. President Trump heading over to Davos, Switzerland later today in advance of his speech there tomorrow at the world economic forum. U.S. treasury Secretary Scott Bessen is already on the ground and offered up remarks just a little while ago. Other speakers set to take the podium this afternoon include Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, French President Emmanuel Marcro, as well as the prime minister and Minister of Foreign affairs of Qatar. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and China's vice premier spoke earlier today. While the speaker's list is once again a who's who of world political and business leaders, President Trump arguably the most anticipated speaker as the world waits to hear what he has to say. We'll of course have live coverage from Davos, Switzerland throughout the day right here on Real America's Voice. Make sure you stay tuned for that. Once President Trump arrives in Davos, a number of European leaders will likely be looking to have a private talk with them about impending 10% tariffs due to their opposition to the president's plan to take control of Greenland. That plan continuing to make headlines thanks to this letter the Commander in Chief sent Norway's prime minister this week. POTUS starts the letter saying, considering your country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped eight wars plus, I now I no longer, excuse me, feel an obligation to think purely of peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. He ends his note writing, the world is not secure unless we have complete and total control of Greenland. Again, Greenland is a territory of Denmark and this note was written to Denmark, Scandinavian neighbor Norway, which confers the Nobel Peace Prize. ICE agents are viral yet again this morning following a detainment in St. Paul, Minnesota. We're going to show you the video here momentarily. Guys, let's roll this video. As you can see, the 56 year old suspect was taken out of his home in handcuffs, bare chested and in shorts in temperatures that were in the teens in at the time. The Department of Homeland Security says that officers were looking for two convicted sex offenders who were believed to be at that home. DHS also says the guy they took away was a US Citizen who refused to be fingerprinted or facially identified. Officers say he matched the description of the targets they were after. Turns out they got the wrong guy and later brought a guy back home. The man's family is out with a statement saying that he willingly went with with the agents, family members are also pursuing legal representation, saying that the targets being sought never lived at that home. We, of course, will have many more headlines coming your way in just a little bit. But now let's get a quick check of your weather forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony joining us with the very latest. Tracey, good morning to you.
Tracy Anthony
Hey, good morning, Terrence. We've had lots of active winter weather, and that's going to continue here through the week. But what you're looking at in Michigan yesterday, this is just southwest of Grand Rapids, 100 vehicle pile up. So we've been dealing with lake effect, snow and Snowfall rates of 1, 2 inches per hour in these narrow bands. So, you know, you could leave your house and it looks mostly clear, but in just a few miles, you run into extremely low visibilities. And just to kind of show you what it looks like, even Grand Forks, North Dakota, across the plains, this is where what it looks like driving through some of those whiteout conditions, you know, you can barely see the road in front of you. So definitely some dangerous scenes here across the US we're pretty calm and quiet right now, but we do have widespread cold weather advisories. And we're bracing for several more systems to work across the Central Plains out east. And Terrence, we are bringing back the word polar vortex by this weekend. So that is definitely going to be the coldest air of the season, but pretty calm and quiet right now, at least from coast to coast.
Terrence Bates
All right. So I feel like you're challenging me to find a way to use the word polar vortex in a news story at some point in time. Let's see how successful I can be at that polar vortex. Let me see if I can work that today. All right, Tracy, Today. Exactly. All right. Before we talk. I see, I'll see if I can't maybe work that back in. All right, Tracy, we'll talk to you next hour and get our hometown forecast.
Tracy Anthony
Okay, sounds good. See ya.
Terrence Bates
All right. Up next, Putin for peace, question mark. President Trump invites the Russian leader to join his peace group for Gaza. We'll have expert analysis on the move next. First, though, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date in 1981 that America finally saw the release of the 52 US diplomats and citizens who were held hostage at the US embassy, Tehran, Iran. The crisis began in November of 1979 after the Islamic Revolution when radicals stormed the US embassy and held Americans captive for 444 days. Their release ended one of the darkest chapters in modern US History. The situation also dealt a defining blow to President Jimmy Carter's legacy. More American Sunrise in two minutes.
David Brody
The White House on a Tuesday. Hey, Davos. He's coming. He'll be there shortly. You know who I'm talking about. He wants Greenland. Talking about President Trump. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise.
Steve Gruber
Everybody.
David Brody
I'm David Brody. All right, Russian President Putin. Vladimir Putin may be joining President Trump's new Board of Peace for Gaza. President Trump now says Putin did receive an official invitation through diplomatic channels to join the committee, which is expected to help oversee the reconstruction of Gaza. Russia says it's waiting for more details before making a final decision. For expert insight, let's bring in senior advisor for the center for Strategic and International Studies. That would be Norman Rule. Norman, thanks for being here. So help me out a little bit. Can you help explain this to me a little bit? This is like 12 dimensional chess, apparently, and I don't even play chess well, so explain what the heck's going on.
Norman Rule
Good morning. President Trump's decision to invite and potentially include Russian President Putin in this newly established board is a bold, cold, and will obviously be a contentious mood move. So in essence, what he's doing is he's showing his efforts to pragmatically outreach to Russia. This is something that is consistent with the President's past efforts to involve Russia in broader international issues, to build a broader relationship that will reach into other issues beyond Ukraine. We're thinking Arctic issues, nuclear arms control. These are issues that the United States traditionally worked on in the past and that included the Middle East. Now, this will be contentious with other actors who will see this as even a betrayal of Ukraine, a legitimization of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but it is not inconsistent with past U.S. foreign policy efforts. It's unclear what Russia can actually do in this effort. And again, this is early stages for a very new construct, this Board of peace. So it's early days.
Dr. Gina
This is so interesting. I mean, just really my brain just can't wrap around it. I keep thinking about it over and over again. It's so interesting because it really is almost like an actual olive branch. Right, Norman? But it's also sort of saying, in a way, we're the big boys. Am I feeding too much into this with this board of peace thing?
Norman Rule
No. And in fact, let me offer an approach I've seen with the Trump administration. So I've been in the room with a number of senior Trump administration officials, and they've often dealt with previous experts. And the conversation will sometimes go like this how have we handled the world for the last 70 years? And they hear this from very senior and serious experts.
Darrell Worley
Experts.
Norman Rule
And they say, well, where did they get us pro and con? And they'll hear, well, we have a number of problems. And these problems are serious.
David Brody
Well, what's our plan going forward?
Norman Rule
And they often hear exactly what we've done for the last 70 years. And frankly, it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. So there is sometimes an effort to reshuffle the deck dramatically, do something very different. And this sometimes will produce the Abraham Accord. So we shouldn't entirely be dismissive of these efforts. So reshuffling the deck does provide an opportunity to move forward in new and novel ways. But we should be clear. Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine. He is continuing to undertake great violence against the Ukrainian people. There will be significant criticism of this effort.
Dr. Gina
Just real quick, Terence, and go ahead.
David Brody
No, Gina, you go. And then I go. And Terrence, Sorry, go ahead.
Dr. Gina
Just as a follow up, how will Zelensky. Zelensky react to this?
Norman Rule
Cautiously. He won't want to offend the President of the United States. He won't want to make matters worse.
Dr. Gina
Well, I guess I think I asked the question wrong. I'm sorry, Norman, what is the message to Zelensky from President Trump? That's kind of more what I meant to ask, if you would.
Norman Rule
I think the message would be how not to. How this effort would not make matters worse for the Ukrainian situation.
David Brody
Tbates to you. Go ahead.
Terrence Bates
Are you sure? David, if you've got a question to follow up, because I want to change something.
David Brody
I'm good. I got plenty of airtime. I'm good.
Terrence Bates
Okay. All right, Norman, I want to change subjects a little bit. You mentioned reshuffling the deck, which brought to my mind Iran, which may lift its Internet blackout within the coming days. That's according to a senior member of parliament there. The shutdown was, of course, imposed during the country's worst unrest since 1979, but it also follows a week of relative calm after a month violent crackdown there. What is your estimation in terms of what happens next? Will the regime ultimately fall, or was this simply a brief, muted uprising and now it's going to be back to business as usual in Iran? How do you see this ultimately playing out?
Norman Rule
Iran has just endured its most intense period of nationwide unrest since the establishment of the Islamic Republic. This was a nationwide unrest in every one of Iran's 31 provinces, in hundreds of towns and cities. The number of dead will be at least 4 to 5,000, probably more, with tens of thousands injured and arrested to include hundreds of security officials. This is a threat to the long term survival of the Islamic Republic, but they've contained it for now. So how will the Iranian government go forward? Well, they're going to do two things at once. The first thing they're going to do is they're going to gradually open up their Internet, gradually talk about social and economic reforms that won't go anywhere. But then they're going to have calibrated coercion, arrests, trials, detention of actors they believe are responsible and do what they can to buy time to prevent President Trump from undertaking military action and further sanctions pressure on their country. It's a standard approach by the Iranian government to buy time. It's a dying regime. This is very similar to the Soviet Union in the late 1980s.
Terrence Bates
So should the Trump administration take action? I'm sorry, David, but I'm just curious then, despite the fact that Iran you think is going to be buying time, should President Trump just go ahead and take some sort of military action to push it over the edge, if you will?
Norman Rule
Well, I'm not sure that would be the best of ideas because you want to be before you take action, you want to make sure what you're doing and what it's going to do. There is the old line of the rule of if you break it, you bought it. Well, in some cases, if you break it, you've bought nothing because there's nothing to buy. You've bought nothing, it's broken. If we're going to have military action, it should have a specific consequence. We should know what we're doing and what it should produce so that we're not going to involve ourselves in a regional war. We're not going to shut down energy exports in the region. We're not going to create a new conflict for the United States and our partners. Right now the president is using a mix of diplomatic, economic tools. He's bringing in an aircraft carrier pressure to pressure the Iranians. Further events will play out, but there's a lot of intensive diplomacy behind the scenes going on right now with all of our regional partners to message the Iranians to constrain violence against their own people. We'll see where this goes. Last point, the president's going to be pushing the Iranians hard to reduce their nuclear program, their missile program, and to contain their regional aggression with militias and terrorism. It's going to be a press on the Iranian government, but I think that's going to be the president's priority.
David Brody
Great information this morning, Norman. Thanks so much for being here. Really appreciate you.
Dr. Gina
Absolutely.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Norman.
Dr. Gina
Thank you.
David Brody
Good stuff. All right. Coming up, a deadly bacteria in California has been found. How can people stay safe? We have developments there. We have an update actually on those developments next on American Sunrise.
Dr. Gina
Welcome back to American Sunrise. I don't know if I was supposed to say this, but we are live in Davos where Macron is wearing sunglasses. As Colin puts it, our director like a tool. I am Dr. Chita Wee. Thank you for joining us. Time now for today's health news that is sponsored by the wellness company under the Microscope. Today, a recap of a story that we brought you yesterday regarding a deadly bacteria detected at Berkeley, California at a homeless encampment. Berkeley, California health officials warning of a dangerous rat borne bacterial infection detected near a homeless encampment encampment. The disease is called leptospirosis and it has been confirmed in multiple rats and in dogs and can spread to humans through contaminated water or soil, especially after heavy rain. Officials there urging people to avoid standing water and mud, to watch for flu like symptoms and to get medical care if exposed. Ugh. This is why these homeless encampments are just so bad every everywhere around. All right. For more, we're going to bring in the chief of disaster and emergency medicine for the wellness company, Dr. Kelly Victory. Dr. Victory, good to have you back. Yesterday we did report on this deadly bacteria found at a Berkeley, California homeless encampment. This is exactly your bailiwick here. Tell us what we're facing here. What's the reality?
Dr. Kelly Victory
Well, thanks for having me, Gina. The idea that disease and pestilence will flourish in areas of squalor is biblical. There are lots of good reasons why we should not have homeless encampments, not the least of which is that living amongst these sorts of conditions in squalor, with no clean running water, no refrigeration, human feces on the street, it can only do one thing and that is breed disease. The rat and rodent population becomes infected with not only leptospirosis, this particular deadly bacterial disease that you're talking about, but also things like the plague has come back to areas including LA and San Francisco. The plague is carried by as a bacteria caused by Yersinia pestis, also borne by the rodent population. So in addition to the fact that these areas are unsightly, they are an affront to human dignity to live like this. They absolutely are harboring diseases that can be picked up not only by the those people living there, but by the People who work there. Think about the people who have to go into those areas, whether it's law enforcement, first responders, people who collect the trash. All of these people are exposed potentially to these bacterial illnesses and these horrific conditions. They should never be allowed. As I said, this is an affront to human dignity. We should not allow either people to live there or the people who actually pay to own homes or to work there should not have to be exposed to this.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. And Dr. Victory, I remember talking to you about this going back a ways where we were talking about illegal immigration and the dangers of the diseases being carried across, not the least of which was bubonic plague, which has resurfaced just as predicted in the United States. So that's another one of the dangers that isn't discussed very often as they're talking about all the rights of all the illegals, the fact that they are bringing in a lot of these diseases that have been gone from America for a long, long time and frankly, much of civilized world. But you know, those streets right there don't look super civilized, do they?
Dr. Kelly Victory
No. Go ahead. And don't forget tuberculosis, Gina. There's a real concern about tuberculosis and particularly antibiotic resistant tuberculosis in these areas where people are living in these conditions very closely with incredibly poor sanitation.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, yeah, it's absolutely true. And you know, we all weren't and like we were the crazy ones. Right.
Steve Gruber
All right.
Dr. Gina
Changing gears a little bit. A lot of attention given to the model rather agenda at the federal level. But it isn't just seeing success in Washington D.C. in fact, the argument can be made that some of the most important Maha achievements are happening at the state and local level. Things like raw milk being considered to go back into schools. I mean, it hasn't happened, but like the lunch menus are being cleaned up and this will ultimately affect the local health. Now, now, you still can't have, for example, farmers bring fresh food into schools, but the changes made in the food pyramid, inverting it essentially, as of course Secretary Kennedy has done, this will help with the health of Americans, right?
Dr. Kelly Victory
Oh, no question. If we ever want to get our arms around the chronic disease problem in the United States, there's nothing more imperative than changing the foods that we feed our children, the school lunch programs, and the benefits provided by the SNAP program, those two things in particular are incredibly important. We cannot give our children nothing but highly processed foods, sugary drinks, you know, these sorts of things, and expect not to be continuing to fuel the obesity epidemic and the diabetes epidemic in particular. So yes, Putting, changing the food pyramid, going back to focusing on lean proteins, unprocessed foods, real foods, whole foods, fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, those sorts of things are absolutely critically important. And this includes changing what we allow people on SNAP benefits to buy. It absolutely is insanity to think that you should be on SNAP public assistance and be able to buy sugary drinks, highly processed foods, chips, candy, those sorts of things that we know are fueling the chronic disease epidemic, which were the.
Dr. Gina
Highest selling items with SNAP benefits. And so we can't forget about that. But, you know, the Wellness Company has really been a partner with Maha in moving some of this legislation along in coming up with these good recommended policies, which a lot of state health departments can then follow if they want to. But for those of us who are looking at this, this flu season that is on us, and we're seeing a lot of the flu all around us. Dr. Victri, what are the best ways we can arm ourselves against that?
Dr. Kelly Victory
Well, the very best thing you can do, Gina, is pay attention to your overall health and wellness by getting adequate sleep, good nutrition, regular exercise, stress mitigation, and supplementing things like vitamin D. In addition, I think it makes good sense. It's what I call rational readiness to have an emergency medical kit at home that contains some of the things that you might need if you do get ill. It includes a number of prescription medications, including antivirals, as well as Tamiflu to treat influenza should you become significantly ill with it. It includes many prescription antibiotics because one of the risks when you do get the flu or a viral illness is to get a bacterial infection on top of it. So I think rational readiness includes being prepared ahead of time so that you aren't beholden to the symptom system, so that you don't have to go find a pharmacy and urgent care or, God forbid, end up in the emergency department should you or a family member get ill. So I think that overall health and wellness, paying attention to how you live, what you eat, the exercise you get, but having these things on hand ahead of time makes good sense.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. As a mom, they're invaluable. It's like having a library with all the right books. Right. You know, you don't have to think about it. I don't have to go through my 500 medicines that I saved that are mostly expired in my medicine closet. I just go straight there, grab the kit, read the manual that tells me exactly how to use it, and it really has simplified lives, at least for moms. And I'm sure a lot of dads out there, too. Dr. Kelly, victory. Thank you all so much for what you do at the wellness company. We appreciate you.
Dr. Kelly Victory

Coming up, music icon Bruce Springsteen slams ice at one of his recent concerts. No real surprise here. He's been a lefty for a long time. What did the boss compare the agents to? Well, we have his comments coming up next on American Sunrise.
Terrence Bates
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's now time to stay awake, not woke. And who is woke today, you ask? Well, it would be music icon Bruce Springsteen. During a recent concert, Springsteen slammed ICE and the measures being used in Minneapolis. He even called them gestapo tactics, went on to say that ice needs to get out of the city.
Steve Gruber
The ideals and the values for which.
Terrence Bates
It stood for the past 250 years is being tested as it has never been in modern times. Those values, those ideas have never been as endangered as they are right now.
David Brody
So as we give in this beautiful display of love and care and thoughtfulness.
Terrence Bates
And community, if you believe in democracy.
David Brody
And liberty, if you believe the truth.
Norman Rule
Matters.
David Brody
And that it's worth speaking out and that it's worth fighting for.
Terrence Bates
If you believe in the power of the law and that no one stands.
Dr. Kelly Victory
Above it.
Terrence Bates
If you stand against heavily.
David Brody
Armed masked federal troops invading an American city using Gestapo tactics against our fellow.
Terrence Bates
Citizens, if you believe you don't deserve.
David Brody
To be murdered for exercising your American.
Terrence Bates
Right to protest.
David Brody
And send a message.
Terrence Bates
To this president and as the mayor.
David Brody
Of that city has said, I should get get the out of Minneapolis.
Terrence Bates
And this thought is for you in the memory of mother of three and American citizen Renee Good.
Steve Gruber
Thank you.
Terrence Bates
Can't wait to hear what you think of all of that. Let us know on get a rumble YouTube log on. Let your voice be heard. I'll be popping in momentarily to hear your thoughts. Coming up, an attack on fate, how Christians are reacting to anti ice protesters interrupting a service, a church service specifically in Minnesota. We'll dissect the disrespect. It's next.
Steve Gruber
Breaking news from real America. Rebecca's voice.
Terrence Bates
We're back with breaking news and want to take you directly to Davos, Switzerland where US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant is sitting down for an interview. Let's listen in.
Dr. Gina
You would be able to tap into your 401k to then buy a home. Walk us through these things. Why are these so key in your view to growth and to reining in prices?
Steve Gruber
Well, here, why don't we start from the beginning.
Dr. Gina
The first thing was the ban on large institutional investors purchasing single family homes and the purchase of mortgage backed securities.
David Brody
Yep.
Steve Gruber
So the ban on institutional investors in single family homes, for those of you who are not American in the US Pre great financial crisis, we didn't institutional investors did not participate in the single family market. So pose the financial crisis. Institutional investors hoovered up single family homes. They continue to do it and there's an unfair tax arbitrage there. You and I have a mortgage. We can deduct the mortgage amount. Institutional investors can deduct the borrowing amount, but they can also expense any repairs and depreciation. So, so we think that it is a good idea to have them out of the market. We are going to give guidance at some point to see what is a mom and pop, that someone maybe your parents for their retirement bought 5, 10, 12 homes. So we don't want to push the mom and pops out, we just want to push everyone else out. And what's important here you will hear some misinformation that says, well, institutional investors are 1, 2, 3%. That is true. Having been in markets for 35 or 40 years. Markets are made on the margin and institutional investors are much higher in boomtown markets like Charlotte, like Atlanta, like Huntsville, Alabama. So they've done that. In terms of having Fannie And Freddie buy MBS, the mortgages are two parts. It is the 10 year bond yield and it is the spread between mortgages and the 10 year yield. So the purpose of that is to narrow the spread.
David Brody
Okay.
Dr. Gina
The cap on credit card rates is expected to cut into bank earnings between 5 and 18%. Your reaction?
Steve Gruber
We've done a lot this year. Bank stocks are at a new high. That through my position on fsoc, the Financial Stability Oversight Council and the three bank regulators, the Federal Reserve, the occ, the fdic, we have done a lot to deregulate banks. Their earnings are way up. More importantly, it has increased their lending capacity. Oliver Wyman's numbers, not mine, estimate that there's 2.5 trillion of extra lending capacity. The other thing that has been a focus of this administration and a focus of mine is small and community banks. Because what happened after the great financial crisis, all the regulations from Dodd Frank, we had too big to fail. But then with small banks, you were too small to succeed. This regulatory morass. We have lost more than 50%, 50% of the small and community banks. And they. They power small business lending, real estate lending and ag lending. So we are trying to bring that back.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, it's a great point because farmers really need the lending of these small community banks. Look, Secretary, I want to get your take overall on your thoughts on what you've done so far. Because the president, back last year, right after the inauguration, I sat down with the President and I asked him what he wants the economy to look like in four years. When he's done and he was very clear, he said he wants private enterprise to rule the day. One year later, you've taken. I think that was Secretary Treasury, Secretary of Treasury Scott Besant speaking in Davos about the bank crisis of 2009. It is time now for our moment of faith. It is brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible. And in focus today, a departure from the good book and scripture to some bad actors and the disrespect they have shown to the faithful. The Justice Department is launching a civil rights investigation after Minnesota agitators stormed and disrupted a church service. Federal officials say they are looking into possible violations of the FACE Act. This is a law that protects access to religious worship and other protected spaces. The incident comes as anti ice unrest continues in the state with the White House saying up to 1500 troops are on standby if conditions escalate. Let's bring in actor and author of Justify A Career Without Compromise, the one and only, one of my favorites in Hollywood, Nick Searcy. Nick, hello, my friend. So good to have you back on one of my shows. That's so cool. I know you've been on many of the shows I've done over the years. Nick, I want to ask you about this. This, though, here we are at a time and place I never thought I would see us. We have, you know, great Republican control in all of the various levels of government, and yet here we are.
Steve Gruber
Well, it's. It. I'm hoping that this shows everybody the true nature of the left, that they will do anything, that there is no line that they won't cross. And the fact that they invaded this church and haven't already been arrested, it speaks to how corrupt the state of Minnesota is. I mean, now they have to be prosecuted federally, which requires getting a warrant from a federal judge and all that stuff. And the reason they have to do that is because the state of Minnesota will not arrest these people, because the state of Minnesota is run by a corrupt criminal named Tim Waltz. And they have to protect their fraud and their criminal enterprise at all costs.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. And we're talking about billions of dollars in fraud. And, you know, the left, you mentioned how desperate they are. It's almost like the more good there is in the world, the more evil evil gets. Does that make sense even?
Steve Gruber
Yeah, absolutely. I mean, and also the fact that they target a church, I mean, this isn't new. They tried to shut down all the churches during COVID They've always gone after the churches. The Marxist left always has been threatened by the Christian church because anytime you have allegiance to anything that's a higher power other than the state, you have to be crushed, you have to be minimized, because the state has to rule all. And I hope everybody is getting it. This is what they're going after. This isn't about ice. It isn't about Renee Goode any more than what happened before was about George Floyd. This is about power. They're trying to show everybody that they can take over society if we dare to elect somebody like Trump who might disrupt their criminality.
Dr. Gina
You're absolutely right. You and I met, I believe Andrew Breitbart is the one originally that introduced us back in the day in LA when we were. We were so undercover there as conservatives. I remember, but you were one of those who was always brave and bold, and Nick Searcy, I just have always had so much respect for you, and you're such a kind person in person, too. And so we appreciate you popping on with us today and. And telling us your thoughts, and we wish blessings on you. Thanks for being with us. Let's have you back soon.
Steve Gruber
Thank you so much, Gina. It's good to see you again.
Dr. Gina
You, too. All right, you guys, the second hour of American Sunrise coming at you right after this.
David Brody
Good Morning America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us long now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina.
David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G in Wes Palm and T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. We're back. It was a quick break.
Steve Gruber
We're here.
David Brody
You know, here's the thing with that World Economic Forum. You know, we're dipping in, we're dipping out. You never know what's going to go on. It's a busy morning here, guys.
Dr. Gina
Definitely busy. Lots of activity happening. And Rav on the ground just everywhere. And watching the news these days, you know, don't you get the feeling, Terrence, like every single day is something that is going to have impact in decades to come? Every single day?
Terrence Bates
Oh, Abs, absolutely. You know, we often say there's no rest for the weary. And I don't know about you, but I'm weary. And there's definitely no rest when it comes to the news because daily there's something going on. And quite honestly, this week, I think is going to be huge, particularly with President Trump, as we've been reporting, heading to Davos to meet with various world leaders, even on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum. This week, I think, is going to be huge. Really looking forward to what the president has to say and the results of some of the meetings that he'll have on the sidelines of that meeting. We'll be covering that for you throughout the week. In the meantime, about 1500 troops stationed in Alaska are on orders to prepare to deploy to Minnesota as part of President Trump's threat to invoke the Insurrection act in that state following massive protests surrounding the current illegal immigration crack down there. The active duty soldiers soldiers are on standby in case violence in Minneapolis and St. Paul escalates. It's not clear if they'll actually have boots on the ground or when they'd be deployed, but they are on the ready. Meantime, three of the country's most influential Catholic archbishops are questioning the current U.S. foreign policy and the morality behind some of the decisions being made in Washington, while the joint statement from the trio doesn't necessarily name President Trump directly. It does say in part, and this is a quote, In 2026, the United States has entered into the most profound and searing debate about the moral foundation for America's actions in the world since the end of the Cold War. The Cardinals who drafted the statement oversee Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Newark, New Jersey. Caught on camera, ICE agents pulling a guy out of his hole, shirtless and in shorts. Witnesses say temperatures were in the teens at the time. You can see him coming out the door here. The Department of Homeland Security says that the officers were looking for two convicted sex offenders who were believed to be at that home. DHS says the guy they took away matched the description of the suspect but turned out to be a US Citizen and not the person they were after. Family members are now pursuing legal representation saying the targets being sought never lived at that home. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony standing by with your hometown forecast. Tracy. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to work polar vortex into a news story, so I just put it in there. Good morning.
Dr. Gina
Hey.
Tracy Anthony
You know, that works for now. You've got a couple more days. I'll give you till the end of the week to do that.
Steve Gruber
Okay.
Tracy Anthony
You know, Spencer Port, New York, this is coming in from a viewer on Gator, Terry Bardeen. Look at these temperatures. Very chilly for the day today. Now this is the same area that's going to have a good amount of lake effect snow. They're under winter weather advisories and they're going to feel the bone chilling cold that knocks here this weekend as well. So they get another push of that Arctic air. But that cold air is making its way pretty far south. So taking it down to Mount Pleasant in Texas. This one coming in off Getter as well. And you can see here dry today. We've got some rain showers tomorrow. But look at those temperatures into the weekend, 28 degrees for Saturday and overnight lows dropping down into the teens. So we're talking about kind of a rain snow mix. Could have some freezing rain and ice causing some issues this weekend. And then had to do one for Brian Glenn out in Switzerland. He's going to be dealing with some winter weather, chilly temperatures. I'm not quite sure when he's heading back to D.C. but if he's there for the weekend, he will have some snow. Now if you're heading back to D.C. brace for the cold because it's going to be even colder for the weekend in D.C. so hopefully he has safe travels. Terrence.
Terrence Bates
All right. Thank you so much for those hometown forecasts. I'll pass that along to Brian in case he wasn't watching. Tracy, appreciate it.
Steve Gruber
You.
Norman Rule
Yeah.
Terrence Bates
All right, let's get you over to David Brody now. David, you're probably shivering a little bit because you just got a colder forecast there. How's it feel, brother? That's what I, that. That's my life daily.
John Solomon
Yeah.
David Brody
No, no, no. It's bone chilling here. It's bone chilling. And I feel bad for Gina because it's. It's really a bone chilling 55 in West Palm Beach. Give me a break. All right, Earlier. I know it's cold. I got it. No, I understand. Earlier this morning, President Trump said he has agreed with the head of NATO to meet with American allies in Switzerland to make his case. So there's a truth social post. There's always a truth social post, if you think about it. The president chaired a private exchange with the NATO secretary General, which included the quote, I'm committed to finding a way forward on Greenland. Joining us now with a reaction is the editor in chief for JustTheNews.com, that would be John Solomon. And John. Well, let's talk Davos. Let's talk the World Economic Forum. Let's talk Greenland. Let's talk a lot of things that are going on in the world. So, John, here's the thing. This would be, if we acquired Greenland, it would be the largest land acquisition that the United States has done since 1867, when we bought Alaska from Russia. This is three times the size of Texas. I mean, this is a big deal to me. I know everybody's talking about the World Economic Forum. I see this as a Greenland summit is really what's going on here.
John Solomon
Now, whatever Davos wanted to talk about, they're going to talk about what he wants to talk about, which is Greenland and the strategic asset that it provides. United States and the Western world should have come under U.S. protection or U.S. acquisition. You know what's interesting about this is before Donald Trump weighed in on this, for years, NATO has been talking about the threat that Russia and China posed to Greenland in the Arctic Circle and encouraging somebody to do something. So Donald Trump stepped into void, said, I can do something. I'll just buy Greenland. I'll acquire it. I'll do something, put it under protection of the United States. The second Donald Trump did that, Europe went nuts, even though that's what Europe has been concerned about for a long time. But Donald Trump doesn't worry about the reactions. He worries about getting the job done. And so he has pushed forward through the NATO secretary, a meeting where he'll come face to face with all the Europeans who are. Are mortified that he might consider putting Greenland into a U.S. security alliance or maybe an acquisition. I bet you he comes out of this meeting with a lot of what he wants. He won't have a clear deal. I keep an eye on a pivot. One of the things I'm hearing from my sources is the idea that the United States would lease Greenland for 100 years. That might allow Denmark and Europe to save a little face, but give the United States and Donald Trump exactly what it wants. There's precedent for that. We do this in many places around the world. That might be the middle ground that Donald Trump's been seeking all along, even as he toys with the idea that he's gonna make Greenland the 51st state. There's probably a negotiating play there. Something a little closer to a lease may actually be what's really what he's trying to achieve.
Dr. Gina
Interesting.
Terrence Bates
Leave it to, by the way.
David Brody
Just leave it to Donald Trump, to the real estate guy to lease Greenland. Greenland, by the way, but go ahead.
Terrence Bates
No, absolutely. Like, it's. It's a fascinating idea, John. You use the word Europe went nuts as it relates to President Trump's plans over Greenland. I'm curious if this is somewhat fake indignation, fake outrage. And I asked that question because Germany sent troops to Greenland and within like 24 to 48 hours, they brought him back home. If you're really that committed, like, you're, like, it is funny. Like it is funny. If you're that committed to it, if it's that big of a deal, then why only send them there for. For a cup of coffee and a good night's sleep?
David Brody
Yeah.
John Solomon
Listen, the truth of the matter is Greenland has chafed under Danish rule. It doesn't even like being owned by the Danes. The United States probably gives them a better deal economically, socially, and certainly security wise. A lot of what you're seeing is classic optics from elitists who have nothing to fight with, with other than their own image and their own sort of ego. And I think you see that in the Macron message that was shared this morning by President Trump. You see sort of the Tinseltown like approach here. You're doing a great job on Syria process for president. Well, I don't get what you're doing on Greenland. Of course, Macron gets what he's doing on Greenland. Macron's getting outplayed on Greenland because at the end of the day, partisan Trump and the United States are going to get what they want out of the this and the Europeans are just coming along for the ride. So. But it is interesting. Listen, everybody thought that Davos was going to focus on Davos ideas. It's not. They're going to be focusing on Donald Trump's ideas. That is what Donald Trump can do when he sucks the oxygen out of a room.
Dr. Gina
I love that he just posted the texts. I mean, like, what does that say? What does that say? I mean, think about you're a world leader and you've sent private texts to Donald Trump, you know, grammatical errors notwithstanding. Right, John? And he just posts them up there and you're going, wait a minute, what did I text him? I was thinking that. Not that I'm a world leader, he have any reason to post my text, but I'm just thinking, wow, that's just crazy. Who does that? This is the level of transparency of this president. John, I have to tell you, Greenland was not on my bingo card. My MAGA bingo card did not have Greenland on it anywhere.
John Solomon
Yeah, that's true.
Steve Gruber
Yeah.
John Solomon
No, listen, that's what Donald Trump does. He does the unexpected.
Dr. Gina
But my question, John, way that my question, if I could just incorporate this into whatever you were gonna say next, since that wasn't on our bingo card, your ears to the ground like nobody else's, tell us what else is not on our bingo card that we might see.
John Solomon
Yeah, listen, I would watch for a really significant housing policy change in the coming weeks. I think they're going to unveil a real shock to the housing system in America and rethink the way we build houses, rethink the way we mortgage houses, rethink the way we help people get to that American dream. Because for a lot of young people, it's unattainable. Right now. I'd be looking for that. I think that's one of the unexpected things that you'll see. I also think you'll begin to see indictments and arrests in the Minnesota area on two fronts. One, those who fund the protests that have obstructed isis, and two, those who defrauded the Somali program, or more importantly, those who look the other way while when the program was being defrauded by those Somali immigrants. I think those are two shockwaves coming probably by the end of the month, those prosecutions. And they keep an eye on Florida. Fort Pierce, Florida. That's where the grand jury is now investigating the grand conspiracy of weaponization. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some big pronouncements in the first quarter of 2026. Politics out of that grand jury.
David Brody
John, let me ask you kind of a bit of a philosophical question here. What is President Trump trying to do here? How do you term it? So here's what I mean by that. We hear America first all the time. And I've suggested this could be a little bit closer to, and I hate to use this word, but I'm gonna use it America first. Imperialism. And I'm not saying colonialism, and I'm not saying it's pure imperialism, but there's something to be said about now. This isn't nation building and this isn't free democracy for everybody. You know, we're gonna spread democracy around the world. It's not George W. Bush, but there is something different this time around compared to the first time around in the Trump presidency that's clear. There's something much different, and that's why I use the word imperialism. I think that he sees it through the lens of, okay, how does it benefit America? And if it benefits America, we're going to Venezuela, we're going to Greenland, we're going to things that are not on Gina's bingo card. How do you see it? Exactly, Exactly.
John Solomon
I think, listen, he learned the lessons of the first term, which was don't let the elitist, don't let the media dictate your wish lists, your behavior, your objectives. Let the American people and their needs dictate what you want to do. And so he's thinking about, I got four years, and I intend to deliver something big every day out of those four years. And so Greenland's been on our bingo card, the American bingo card, going all the way back to the 1940s with Truman. We've wanted to get it because of its importance. We see new threats from China and Russia over it. So Donald Trump's like, I'm just going to get it done. I'm going to get Venezuela done. We had a drug dealer in charge of a company who's poisoning our country for a long time. We're just going to get rid of him. He's an indicted guy. I'm just going to go arrest him. And he goes in and there's hardly any bloodshed. He gets it done. And what happens? The rest of the Venezuelan leadership bends to his will and starts doing something that, that's pro American, like giving us oil. So I think the big difference is Donald Trump doesn't read the polls. He doesn't read the media. He doesn't read the elitist or Congress. He reads what the American people need. And he's focused on it. And he's fearless in the pursuit of what he thinks the American people need and want.
David Brody
Interesting. I mean, I got a lot of questions about that. I mean, just. But we got to have you back. So, John Solomon, great to have you.
Steve Gruber
Yeah.
John Solomon
Great to be with you guys. Thanks so much.
Dr. Gina
Thanks, John.
David Brody
All right, thanks. Coming up, a bombshell from inside the Democrat VP vetting process. Remember back in 2024, remember this guy, Josh Shapiro?
Terrence Bates
Remember him?
David Brody
He's still governor of Pennsylvania, by the way. He says Kamala Harris's team asked him if he was a double agent for Israel. What he says really happened behind closed doors next. I like this story.
Terrence Bates
Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Terrence Bates. As always, we appreciate you being here with us. It's time now to drain the swamp. And this morning, we are flushing out left wing antisemitism. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro making the rounds after a preview of his new book went public. In the memoir, he says that he was asked point blank by members of Kamala Harris team whether he had ever been an agent of the Israeli government. Shapiro adding that he was also pressed on whether he would apologize for his past comments criticizing anti Israel protesters at the University of Pennsylvania. By the way, Shapiro is Jewish, in case you didn't know that. The revelations come as Shapiro and Harris publicly clash in their dueling memoirs, with Shapiro firing back at claims in Harris's book that he was difficult to work with, calling those accusations, quote, complete and utter bull. I'm sure he wanted to add four more letters to that. For more, let's bring in David and Dr. Gina to discuss. David, I'm rubbing my hands together because I know you got a of lot lot to say on this one, brother.
David Brody
Well, first of all, it's good to know that Candace Owens was clearly part of the vetting process here. For Kamala Harris, that's number one.
Dr. Gina
Can't let up on Candace.
David Brody
No, I can't. And I will never do so for sure. But let me just say, in terms of Josh Shapiro, the best career move he's ever had was to not get the VP nod under a word salad. Vp, right. Kamala Harris, the best move ever. Like, like, please, whatever you do, do not pick me. Do not pick me. And she didn't. And so, and the reason, of course, is because he is gonna run for president at some point. He could run in 2028 maybe after that. And he's kind of considered the next Obama like guy. I know that scares and terrifies everybody, but I'm saying that more in the oratory. From the oratory standpoint. He does have a lot of, of political skill, Gina. And if he had gotten involved with Kamala Harris in that disaster of a 2024 election, I think he, I don't know if he would have been toast, but it would not have been good for his resume for sure.
Dr. Gina
Well, what happens in a Shapiro run for president? David Brody? I'm curious. What are all the Free Palestine people on the Democrat team gonna do?
David Brody
Yeah, I don't think they'll. I don't think he'll ever see the light of day. I don't think he'll get it out of the. I don't think he'll get out of the Democrat primary, quite frankly.
Dr. Gina
Oh, I thought you were saying you thought he was a viable option.
David Brody
Well, no, he's viable in the sense that he's going to run. I think he's going to run. I don't think that's going to stop him. I'm not convinced that he can get out of the primary based on the crazies and the pro Palestinian crazies in the primary.
Dr. Gina
Interesting.
Terrence Bates
Hey, David, do you think this back and forth between Kamala Harris and Shapiro, is it personal or do you think it's largely influenced by his faith?
David Brody
Well, I think, I think it's because just like what Biden did, they take their cue from the crazies on the left and in this case it's the pro Palestinian contingent, which let's remember, every time we talk about the pro Palestinian movement, the pro terrorist movement, if you want to call them that, we're really talking about the leftists in the party, you know, the blue haired people that we always talk about. And Biden specifically gave into that. Biden was more of a centrist in his entire career until he decided to run for president. Given to the leftists. That's what Kamala Harris did. So that's the answer to that.
Dr. Gina
Real quick, David, because I know we're almost out of time, but what branch of Judaism is Shapiro?
David Brody
I believe he's committed.
Dr. Gina
How Jewish is he? How much is he committed to his actual faith? Or is it more of an ethnic thing with him? That's what I'm asking.
David Brody
Oh, he's committed. He's committed. He's a conservative Jew. And to be clear, I don't mean a conservative politically. I'm talking about there's Reform, conservative and Orthodox. As you guys know, Reform are the crazy liberals. Conservatives are a little bit more of, they keep the Sabbath and they keep kosher. That's him. And then there's Orthodox where they, you know, they got the beards and they got the, well, that's Hasidic Jews. But you know, then they're really, they're very conservative. They're, they're like, they love the evangelicals and all that. Those are the Orthodox Jews. But he's a conservative Jew. So call it a moderate Jew, if you will.
Dr. Gina
A moderate. Okay, that helps because the terminology is so different. It's like I'm a Reformed Presbyterian and that's like the super conservative branch of Presbyterian. So that always throws me. Thank you so much for that clarity.
David Brody
Yeah, I grew up as a liberal. Well, I was a liberal, but I grew up in the liberal reform Jewish movement, if you will.
Terrence Bates
Okay, well, since we're throwing it out there, I'm a bedside Baptist. It means that I watch church service on TV on Sunday mornings from the comfort of my bed. Bedside Baptist, baby. All right, guys. Appreciate that conversation. That was fun. Coming up on American Sunrise, a stunning move on the world stage as we continue to follow President Trump as he is headed overseas to Davos, Switzerland. We'll have the very latest throughout the show.

Welcome back, everyone. We're getting ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's set to ring here in just a few minutes. Minutes. I can tell you that pre market trading not looking so hot. Here's a quick look at the indices The Dow, S P 500, Nasdaq, all in the red. The good news is if you're investing in gold, silver, or crude oil, well, right now things are up. If you're investing in them, I guess that means hopefully you want to buy low and sell high. But hopefully you've bought previously and are able to sell a little bit higher than you bought. That's a quick check of the markets as we get you ready again. We'll take you to the opening bell here, here in just short order. First, though, let's get you over to Dr. Gina. Dr. G. Good morning.
Dr. Gina
Hey. Hey, T. Listen, it's been a quarter century. Can you believe that?
Norman Rule
Wow.
Dr. Gina
Since September 11, 2001, that was a day that we all remember that changed America forever. And few artists have captured emotions of that day like country music hitmaker Darrell Worley. Darrell not only gave us the iconic song have youe Forgotten? But he's also spent over eight trips to war zones performing for US Troops. And now he's taking his patriotism one step further, launching a luxury tiny home community and resort near Novosel, Alabama, to provide housing for military families, also for contractors and visitors to the region. Joining us now with more country music artist and patriot Darrell Worley. Darrell, I have to tell you, such a great song, such a great legacy, but tell us about your new awful, beautiful life resort and tiny home community near Fort Novosel. What inspired this project and how will it support our military families?
Darrell Worley
So a really close friend of mine, Ronnie Gilly, that lives down in Enterprise, he and I have done a lot of projects together over the past 25 years. And he called me up and told me he had a vision. So my wife and I went down and looked at all the renderings and, and, you know, listened to his, you know, just explain it all to us. And it was just something that I was blown away by. I told my wife, I said, we, we really need to be a part of this. And so it's basically a really active lifestyle community that we're creating. And it's. The first phase is 75 tiny homes with five star resort amenities. You'd have to see that stuff to believe it. And it is 5.8 miles from the entrance of, of Fort Rucker. I found out yesterday we can call it Fort Rucker again. I guess they've gone back to the original name. So that made me happy because that's what I call it anyway. And it's, it's pretty incredible. The, the homes are all stick built right there on side, you know, there's several different options. It's going to be operated like a short term lodging development, if you will. It's actually run like, just like a hotel and so someone can come in and buy a unit outright and live there. You could also stay over for a short term stay, you know, stay a day, stay two or three nights, whatever. But you can also put that, put your unit in our management program and we'll keep it rented for you and just send you money.
Dr. Gina
I love that. So for people who, for people who would like to invest, what do the homes cost and tell us about these luxury amenities. This is fascinating.
Darrell Worley
You know what, I'll, I'll do the amenities first so that I, it's like I have to do it like I'm coming in the security gate, which, that's an amenity in itself. You got 24, 7 security. It's an unbelievable, you know, know community and it's very, very safe. But we have 24 hour security gate and that's where you check in. And then you got pickleball courts, you got cornhole courts, you got a cornhole for the people with pets.
Terrence Bates
Yeah.
Darrell Worley
Then you get on toward the, the further end of the development and, and there's the, the lagoon pool. You guys just showed a picture that was designed by one of our guys and it is absolutely the coolest pool I've ever seen. And it's traditional gunite pool, but it is resort style. Big old waterfalls all the way around it. It's got a tiki bar, but then we got a complete fitness center. We got an event center there, we have a chill lounge, we have a clubhouse. All the amenities just keep going. And it's really, really five star. It's one of the only options in the area for lodging like, like this. And so one of the hotels there that's kind of, kind of most sought after has a 93 occupancy. So we expect this to be a, a pretty hot item in the area. We're pretty excited. And, and the cool thing is that the military can participate in this. You can buy a home right now. This is the, the Darrell Worley discount for, for one of these tiny homes for $89,000. There's an upgrade package you can pay $10,000 for. And then it's completely furnished by, you know, we have four different decor packages. And if you do the completely furnished deal, that's the better deal because you can't go out and get all the stuff that we're going to put in there for that money. We, we are doing a lot of them. So we get a really good break on electronics and all the different things that go in there.
Dr. Gina
So it's and the beautiful thing is this is just all to black our heroes, which is such a worthy, worthy cause and such incredible pricing. And I hope you have a place to park my rigs. I'm going to come see you. Darrell Worley, thank you so much for everything you're doing for our veterans. Yeah, I love it. Send me the information.
Darrell Worley
The website is Darrel Worley. Awful beautifulliferesort.com Awful Beautiful Life Resort Darrell.
Dr. Gina
Worley, Awful Beautiful Life Resort, thank you for what you're doing. God bless you, my friend. Appreciate you.
Darrell Worley
Thank you.
Dr. Gina
All right, let's head to Terrence in Denver for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Sponsored by amac, the association of Mature.

Terrence Bates
It's 7:30 my time, 9:30 Eastern, which means the markets are about to open here, here in short order. And then we'll get an idea of exactly how things are looking on this Tuesday of trading. You typically would hear the applause right about now and then the bell. But I believe that the markets are now officially open. I'm looking here. Yeah, the bell already happened. So it's 7:31, 9:31 Eastern, which means we happen to miss the bell. But here's the good news. We still have a quick look at how the markets are looking. The dow, S P 500 and the NASDAQ stack are all down a little bit right now. The bottom half of our screen though is in the green. So it's going to be a mixed bag of trading very likely today. Hopefully the major indices will end in the green and end on a high. For those of you who are investing, a new year means new financial goals like making sure that your savings are secure and diversified. So will this be the year that you find. Listen to us here on RAV and talk to someone over at the Bright Birch Gold Group. Honestly, they're really good people and we appreciate their educational approach and their understanding of macroeconomics. There are forces out there pushing the US Dollar lower and gold higher, which is why they believe that every American should own physical gold until January 30th. If you're a first time gold buyer, the Birch Gold Group is offering a rebate of up to $10,000 on qualifying purchases. If you'd like to to claim eligibility and start the process, simply text the word America to the number 9898. 98. The Birch Gold Group can help you roll an existing IRA or 401K into an IRA in gold and you're still eligible for a rebate of up to ten grand. Make right now your first time to buy gold and take advantage of a rebate of up to $10,000 when you buy by January 30th. It's all all as simple as texting the word America to the number 989-898 and claiming your eligibility. Today, again, text America to the number 989-898 or 989-898. However, it works for you. Still to come here on American Sunrise, a Republican senator moves to expand the government's power to strip citizenship from naturalized Americans after one of the largest fraud scandals in U.S. history. We'll break it all down after this break.
Darrell Worley
I hear people say we don't need this war, but I say there's something worth fighting for.
Steve Gruber
What about.
Dr. Gina
All right. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us this morning. We invite you to hop on over in our conversation. YouTube, getter, rumble, rav, ambassador sites, so many places where you can connect with us. And we love when you do. It's time now to take the political pulse of America. Here's the beat today. Former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters was assaulted yesterday inside La Vista Correctional Facility in Colorado. Now, according to to Peters, another inmate confronted her inside a maintenance closet and began striking her without provocation. Peters says she raised her hand and pushed the inmate away to defend herself, an action she says was captured on security video. But instead of the alleged attack attacker being disciplined, Peters was handcuffed, shackled, taken to solitary. This is typical of the way our J6ers have been treated over the years. Peters was then informed she is being charged with felony assault for the encounter for defending herself. For putting her hands up. Defending herself. Joining us now with reaction is the host of America's Voice Live and the Steve Gruber Show. Steve, I'll tell you, reading this just made my heart sink. Honestly, I am so tired of watching the injustices happen to patriots around this country. Tina Peters at the top of that list. See, when is this going to end?
Steve Gruber
You know, it's not going to end. And in fact, if you listen to Hakeem Jeffries and the Democrats right now, their whole plan for the midterms is we're going to prosecute everybody. We're going after everybody. They want to Impeach Donald Trump four, five, six, seven more times, whatever it is. They want to prosecute everybody in his orbit. They want to go after ICE officers. They want local law enforcement to battle ICE officers in the streets. They want Kent State. That's what they want.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
Steve Gruber
They want something to happen, a mistake.
Dr. Gina
I want to add to what you're saying. They want to prosecute every single one of us, including this audience. This is not going to stop at the Tina Peters of the world. Right. This is not going to stop at the Donald Trump and his administration. They will go after this audience.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, well, there's a lot of truth to that. You know, I heard Barack Obama. I played it on the morning show here today on Real America's Voice. Barack Obama saying we need to reimagine journalism. We need to reimagine how we do this and, you know, put guidelines on it so that we understand what truth is and what. What's not truth. Again, these people have a disdain for the United States Constitution. They don't understand the First Amendment. They don't like the First Amendment. They want to silence. Me, you, everybody. And if you step out of line, they want to punish you viciously. And that's their plan for the midterms. Hate Donald Trump. Oppose anything that he does, even when it's their own policy. I mean, speaking of Obama, he deported 5 million people. He gave Tom Homan an award in 2015 for the work he was doing deporting people at that time. Now, Tom Homan is the devil incarnate. And Barack Obama wants to reimagine journalism. What that means is translation censorship as much as possible. Censorship on a scale with Canada and England and France and Germany. Silence anybody who dissents. We'll have no dissenters as they scream no king.
David Brody
Kings.
Steve Gruber
They act like kings themselves about what I can say where I can practice my religion. And by the way, storming a church, just as an aside and for the record, storming a church is not protected by free speech. You don't get to raid a house of worship and start screaming at people under the guise of the First Amendment. Doesn't work that way. You can't go on private property and attack people for their religious beliefs. Another foundational principle of this country, religious freedom. They hate that. Just for the record.
Dr. Gina
Well, CNN says it's just. It is freedom of speech. They said it's protected under the First Amendment. Go ahead, David.
David Brody
Yeah, and so does Don Lemon, and I believe him.
Norman Rule
Okay.
David Brody
Yeah, Steve, changing things.
Steve Gruber
Nice, guys.
David Brody
Yeah. Oh, a great, great, swell fellow so to speak. Okay. We're continuing to follow this controversial new twist in President Trump's Gaza peace plan. Russian President Vladimir Putin has been invited to join what Trump is calling his Board of Peace, powerful committee, obviously set up to oversee the reconstruction of Gaza. As you know, because you host the Steve Gruber show and you know everything. President Trump, Steve, has confirmed the invitation, even as critics warn the move could undermine international norms and had a global platform to leaders long shunned by the West. What is your take on this, Steve Gruber? Because I must tell you, and I said earlier, that forget 3D chess, 4D chess, this is apparently 22 degree chess. I have no idea what's going on here. All I know is the dude's a war criminal and he should not be on the board of peace. And by the way, for those who can't stand Netanyahu, he's also been invited on the Board of peace and they call him a war criminal. So I give up. I defer to you.
Steve Gruber
You know, it's a complicated situation, David. I don't understand it myself. Let's be clear about that, that Vladimir Putin is a guy who cannot be trusted. He's made numerous promises about, you know, different things coming to the war in Ukraine. And every time there's a deal appearing to be at hand, he launches missiles and drone attacks on Ukraine. So every time he says something, you can't believe it. And what is his assistance there? I mean, there are a lot of Russian Jews in Israel, and so maybe that's the stake that they're bringing him in for. Not clear to me yet. So I guess I will defer to the president and say, okay, what is the plan and why is the plan? I think that Vladimir Putin is somebody that we cannot trust by his track record. I mean, he showed up in Alaska. We're seeing those pictures there. Is it yielded any fruit? Not that I'm aware of. But Donald Trump is trying to get something done. He's a transactional individual, as we all know. He's trying to bring different people to the table, different voices. So there's a consensus, I suppose, but I'll have to wait and see more of the details because right now I am left scratching my head on this one. I don't understand it.
David Brody
Steve, Can I just say real quick, Terrence, I know we gotta run over to you on a question, but I'm just glad you said that word transactional, because that's exactly what this has always been about, morality. I'm sorry, I'm not saying he hasn't done moral things and stood for moral causes. That's not what I'm saying about Trump. But his lens is transactional. It's not morality necessarily, like, in other words, these big, sweeping moral reforms. That's not how he sees the world. It's transactional. And that's exactly why we get this type of stuff, which I totally don't agree with, by the way, but. Terrence, go ahead, please.
Terrence Bates
Well, I'm going to follow up on your point then. This whole idea of President Trump being transactional, what transactions, to use that word, Steve, are you expecting him to make or achieve? While in Davos, Switzerland, we, of course, will have live coverage of his trip here on Real America's Voice. But it is the story, I think, that everyone across the globe is talking about and anticipating his visit to Davos. What transactions are you expecting to make? What do you think the big takeaway will be from his visit to the World Economic Forum?
Steve Gruber
I think he's going to deliver the terms of surrender for the other countries that are fighting us every step of the way on tariffs and so forth. He's going to make it clear he will not just use the military to extract something like Maduro. He will use the financial power of the United States to exact and get the transactional results that he wants from different countries. We have the biggest economy in the world. It's a tool in his, in his toolbox that he's going to use. He's going to explain to these folks, we're done picking up the bill for everybody else. We're done having countries pay, you know, a fraction of the cost for pharmaceuticals. We're done paying for NATO and then provide the equipment and then pick up the bill. We're done with that. We're done with providing the bill and picking up the tab every single time. Like all of these people have alligator arms. When it comes to picking up the bill, they just can't quite reach it. But, hey, they'll send it to the United States. And the American taxpayer is sick of it. They are. We're sick of being sent the bill. Send our troops, send our equipment, send our money. Enough. NATO, do your job. Defend Europe. I mean, look at NATO, for example. There's not a credible army on the European continent, except maybe France. Would you. Would you accept England or the UK Defending the United States? I wouldn't. How about Germany? No chance. How about the Kingdom of Denmark? Are they really going to protect us? The answer is no. And so when it comes to declaring America first financially, that's what he's there to do, to say, look, we are the United States. We're going to use every tool that we have to exact the results we need to defend our country and make sure we're here for another 250 years. That's what he's going to do. The terms of surrender being delivered, financially speaking, in Davos. That's why he's going. You watch, it's going to be a barn burner, and he's going to explain why America first is what he's doing, and he'll encourage other countries to do the same. But you better make deals with the United States, because if you don't, your country is going to suffer. We're not.
Dr. Gina
What's the message here to Zelensky?
Steve Gruber
Zelensky. Wow. Look, I don't trust either one. I don't trust Putin. I don't trust Zelensky. Zelensky, I hope you worked out those real estate deals in London and elsewhere and you got a nice place to run off to, because once the dust clears in Ukraine, he won't be there. I mean, he canceled. Here we are fighting for democracy, right, While Zelensky cancels elections. I don't like people. I don't like anybody on either side of this war. That's me. And for us to be involved with it is a. Is a dangerous little minefield to tap dance through. So be careful. What you wish for is what I would say. Defending Ukraine. Okay, I'm okay with that. Sending some equipment and so forth as we have done, a fair amount of it. But this blank check idea, I mean, how many billions of dollars went missing in Ukraine? Your money and my money can't be accounted for. There's no accounting for it. There's no opening the books. They should open the books in Ukraine the same way they're going to open the books in Minnesota and California and Illinois and New York. Show us the books. That's what Americans want now. That's what this thing in Minnesota has done for all of us. It's motivated us to say, look, look, where did the money go? How was it spent? Who spent it? Who ended up with it? Where did it all go? It's same in this side of the ocean and that side of the ocean. Stop sending American dollars in any direction, whether it's to Minnesota or Kiev, without telling us how it's being spent, where the command and control is, how the audits are being run. We need audits out there to make sure that we're not being fleeced every Single day. Which, by the way, news flash, we are so we need to get that under control. Our debt wouldn't be where it is today if people have been minding the shop. That's a fact.
David Brody
Steve, would you rather attend the World Economic Forum or go skiing? That's the choice. I'm just curious.
Steve Gruber
I would rather go skiing. I'll be honest. I want to go to the Dolomites in Italy. I'd like to go there. Near where the Winter Olympics are going to be. I'll go skiing. Don't have an interest at all in being in Davos with a bunch of self important, self, self appointed dictators like, you know, Klaus Schwab and these other clowns. I want. He's not there, I don't think this year. But generally speaking, these are people who think they can sit there puppet masters and make us all dance, which they've done for decades. Yeah, but I think we're over that too.
Dr. Gina
Looks like it.
Terrence Bates
Hey, Steve, really quickly, since you're in Michigan. You're Michigander Gretchen Whitner. Whitmer, excuse me, is also going to be speaking there. Any thoughts on that? I suspect you have at least one or two.
Steve Gruber
I got one. Here's the line. Gretchen, fix the damn roads. That's been her, her mantra for eight years. You know what? The roads here are awful. Awful. You'll knock a filling loose driving down most roads in Michigan. It's terrible. She has done a terrible job.
David Brody
She's going to be serving communion as well over there.
Steve Gruber
Oh, yeah, that part from an ev.
Dr. Gina
All right, well, the producers are wrapping us just in time. Steve Gruber, thank you so much for being here.
Steve Gruber
Thanks, Shiva.
Dr. Gina
All right, y'.
John Solomon
All.
Dr. Gina

President Trump is weighing in on a potential 2026 Senate race and making clear who he wants to see run. The president publicly signaling his backing for Louisiana Congresswoman Julia Letlow. He's even urging her to enter the race and promising a full endorsement if she in fact does. Letlow is considering a challenge to incumbent Senator Bill Cassidy, a fellow Republican who has drawn criticism from Trump allies for his vote to convict President Trump during his second impeachment. The move sets up a potentially contentious GOP primary in a deep red state, and it puts President Trump's influence with the party front and center. So we really want to know what you think about all of this. Let us know on get on rumble. Hop onto YouTube as well. Let your voice be heard. Curious about your thoughts, particularly if you happen to live in Louisiana. Would love to hear what you have to say. Still to come here on American Sunrise, we are standing by for the top stories that we're following today. In fact, the one to watch is next here on American Sunrise.
Steve Gruber
All right.
Dr. Gina
Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us this morning. It is time now for the one to watch. Terrence, we have an update on that Let Low situation. Why don't you tell us?
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. Congressman, Congresswoman, excuse me, Julia Letlow is now officially in the race to challenge Senator Bill Cassidy there in Louisiana. Just moments ago, we were telling you that she was considering Iran and that President Trump was urging her on. Well, she is now officially in the race as of today. So that's a story that will continue to watch for you as there may be a changing in the garden, Louisiana, when it comes to one of that state senators. In the meantime, House Speaker Mike Johnson also making history this week, another Louisiana guy becoming the first speaker of the U.S. house to address the British Parliament. The historic moment comes as transatlantic relations face new strains, including 47's push to acquire Greenland. Here's what the Speaker, Speaker Johnson had to say at the UK's parliament.
Darrell Worley
As the prime minister said yesterday, let us look to agreement, continue our dialogue.
David Brody
And find a resolution just as we always have in the past.
Darrell Worley
And in that process, I am confident that we can and will maintain and.
David Brody
Strengthen our special relationship between these two.
Steve Gruber
National nations, send a message of unity and resolve to our allies around the world and remind our adversaries and the.
David Brody
Terrorists and tyrants everywhere that our nations.
Darrell Worley
That are dedicated to freedom and justice and order and human dignity are stronger and more resolved now than ever before.
Terrence Bates
Speaker Johnson says he spoke with President Trump ahead of the address. He described his mission as one to calm the waters with America's longtime ally, even as President Trump's latest foreign policy moves seem to spark concern across Europe. And David and Dr. Jean, as we wrap this up, I wonder if there's real concern or if it's just posturing from many of these European allies just to make it seem like they're standing up against something, even though they realize that long term they really don't have much of a leg to stand on. David, I'd love to get your thoughts.
David Brody
Well, this is interesting because just as he's speaking to the House of Parliament there and saying he wants to calm the waters, Trump's out on Truth Social talking about how the UK is, quote, his words, stupid for giving up Diego Garcia, that island in the Indian Ocean, to one of the African nations over there, one of the African countries over there, the UK had it.
Darrell Worley
Yeah.
David Brody
Yeah, that's right. Thank you for pronouncing it, because I would have been bad at pronouncing that's why I called it one of the African nations. But thank you for exploiting that. Just know you didn't exploit it. I was just playing. Right.
Norman Rule
Yeah.
David Brody
Bottom line is he called them stupid for giving up the island. Of course, the United States has a vital military base there on Diego Garcia. Inside or in the Indian Ocean there. Anyhow, I just think it's kind of the juxtaposition, Gina, of Johnson going over there to say, hey, I just wanna calm the waters, and Trump's on truth social going, stupid. You guys are stupid. You know, it's just interesting.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. Especially if they spoke beforehand. But, Terrence. Yeah, I was thinking.
David Brody
Right, good point, good point.
Dr. Gina
A little confused. But, Terrence, I was thinking about you thinking, you know, hey, hey, Mike, stay home, pass the budget already. That's what I was thinking you would say when you heard this. Because, I mean, hello, do we have some domestic issues to take care of? Could we balance a budget and then pass the budget? I don't know. Just all kinds of thoughts come to my mind about what the speaker, what the good speaker could be doing right now.
David Brody
Terrence, I would like to channel Gina and just not channel Gina. Channel you and just say, you would say, come on, we've got 12 appropriation bills to get. Dot, dot, dot. Go ahead.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, I hate that I'm that predictable, but I am so with you. And I was the main reason I didn't bring it up. I was like, I talk about this all the time, and there are probably people like, dude, shut up. It's. You know. But that's exactly what my. There's a lot of work to be done at home. Yes.
