Good morning, America.
A
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
B
Politics. President Trump is joining us live now from Florida. We've got you covered. This is what it looks like to be a patriot. We have to protect the American family.
A
The American dream is still alive.
B
I'm David Brody. I'm terrence.
A
And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning, everybody. I'm Dr. G. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David Brody. He's in Washington, D.C. t. Bates is just hanging out in our Denver newsroom, just reading those headlines. Good morning, guys.
B
Wake up. Tbates. Wake up. Oh, the show's on. Hey, guys. Good morning. Good morning, T.B.
A
Good morning.
B
T. Actually, you know, it's funny. The morning's not starting so great for me. Dr. Gina and David, I woke up, put on this suit, only to realize that I'm missing a button on the suit. So. So, yeah, it's one of those mornings. Like, I was like, where did I even lose the button?
A
We all have them. We all have them.
B
Terence, it's next to the sock that you lost in the laundry. Probably. Probably. So look, the story that everybody's talking about, that town hall meeting for Ilhan Omar in which a guy sprayed her in the face with an unknown substance. Here's some of the video. If you haven't seen it before, you can see it kind of unfold there. If we can turn up the natural sound, there's obviously commotion there. Representative Omar saying that we are Minnesota strong. We, we stay resilient. David and Dr. Gina, David, you first. President Trump has responded to all of this. I'll let you take his response and whether you're surprised at how he reacted to it. Well, he's saying he wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing was a setup. That's basically what he's saying. I'm paraphrasing, but that's pretty much what he said. We'll get to the bottom of it. Here we go again. Let's wait until the investigation is completed. Gosh, how many times are we saying that? But look, obviously, just on the surface here, before we get into whether or not what exactly happened, bottom line is, yeah, this type of stuff should not be a. Be happening. It's not. Right. We obviously know that this is stuff that we wouldn't want to see to the folks on the right or the left or, you know, it's just. It just. But this is where we are in America, Dr. G. Well, what are we.
A
Going to do about it? If it was a setup? I mean, I don't know. I have never seen. I can't imagine. She didn't know what. I don't think if it was real. Come on. If it were real. All right. You don't know if it's acid. You don't know if it has fentanyl in it. You don't go running toward the assailant. I'm sorry. I'm just not gonna believe she's so ba. That she goes running straight toward the assailant. I just. Yeah. Anyway.
B
But wait, can I just say something? Let me just say something. I do wanna say that if this was a setup for some. Cuz this is the view now on social media in a lot of circles. If this was a. This would be the single stupidest moment ever for a politician to set this up because your career is over. You're going back to wherever you were at one point. Let's just leave it at that. The point is, she'd be done. Everything would be done if this was found out that this was a setup. That's the end of her career.
A
No, it isn't. David, you're giving her constituency way too much credit. No. Oh, my gosh. How many things do you. Do you see these entire constituencies of people believing that are simply not true. David, it happens all the time. So if it was. If it were proven that it was a setup, her district would never believe it. They would always believe what they want to believe. Whatever she says, that's true, and it would not have any effect on her career. Whatsoever.
B
I'm just saying it would be stupid for her to do it. That's my point. It would be dumb for any politician to even think that.
A
No, I don't think so. Not in her district. I'll just believe her.
B
Absolutely.
A
Yeah. All right. Today's Bible verse.
B
See Bates. So you guys are more. I'm sorry. I'm really enjoying this. I'm super amused.
A
Just trying to wake you up, Terrence.
B
Well, yeah, I'm wide Awake now, Dr. Gina. Thank you. No button at all. I'm all in.
A
All right, there we go. Psalm 139, verses 1 through 4. Oh, Lord, you have searched me and known me. You know, my sitting down and my rising up. You understand my thoughts from far away. You comprehend my path and my lying down. And that is just how intimately involved he is every single day in our lives. And, oh, and there's more. And you are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, oh, Lord, you know it. All together. All right, there we go. Turning back now to that I guess we say, reported an attack on Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Joining us now with his thoughts on what happened, Florida Congressman Randy Fine. Congressman, you know, I was nearby a town hall last night, and it did cross my mind that. That a politician was holding here locally. And it did cross my mind. I'm like, you know, these aren't safe places to be anymore. I'm not saying that wasn't a setup. I know a lot of people think that was a setup. But it is true that there is a heightened alert during town hall meetings. You, what all of you encountered in your home district.
B
Well, thanks for having me this morning. We generally don't do these kinds of events unless there are metal detectors and things like that. For that reason, I would say two things. Number one, I want Elon Omar to be denaturalized. I want Ilhan Omar to be deported. But I do not want Elon Omar to be attacked or hurt. And that should be the case for everyone. But the second thing is, the person that I blame for this attack is Elon Omar. Because by Elon Omar's own definition, what happened to her was a peaceful protest. And when in Minneapolis, liberals say that people throwing things at ICE officers is a peaceful protest, they can't be surprised when a crazy person hears them and does the same to them. The left has legitimized political violence, and then they gaslight it. They don't like it when it happens to them. We should be cracking down on these fake Peaceful protesters who attack law enforcement, because then it sends the message, you can't do this to anyone. So this is a bed that she made, and now she has to live in it.
A
Great point.
B
Hey, by the way, Congressman, I'm curious. You mentioned denaturalize. You want to see her denaturalize? What's the process on that in terms of, like, the reality percentage, and how would that work exactly? Well, it's very hard. I mean, I think the biggest, you know, you've got to really focus on the fact that she lied in her naturalization papers. There's a lot of evidence for that, whether it was her age when she came, obviously engaging in immigration fraud with the brother. There's also the possibility of jail over. Over the fake financial things that she's made. And apparently even the Biden administration was very suspicious about, about her financial situation. Look, a lot of these grifty liberals, they talk the good game of socialism and communism while they're feeding at the trough and getting themselves rich. It's like they said, an animal farm. We're all equal. Some of us are just more equal than others. Yep. Yeah. Congressman, first lady Melania Trump is urging people to unify and come together in the wake of the Minnesota ice shooting. Here's some of what she had to say in case you happen to miss it yesterday.
A
We need to unify. I'm calling for unity. I know my husband, the president, had a great call yesterday with the governor and the mayor, and they're working together to make it peaceful and without riots. I'm against the violence. So if, please, if we protest, protest in peace.
B
So my question to you, Congressman, really following what we just heard from the first lady, do you think Mayor, Governor Walz and Mayor Frye are really negotiating, if you will, in good faith? Do they really have any intention to work together with federal partners? Are they going to continue to push this narrative that they're pushing? Are they going to continue to encourage the protests that have been happening in Minneapolis? Well, I don't know. Look, I share the first lady's view. We do want peace and unity, but what we cannot have is surrender. And what we see in Minneapolis is a battle for the future of our country, basically, whether we will have borders or not. Under Joe Biden, 20 million foreign invaders streamed into our country, including the scum of the earth. Murderers, rapists, pedophiles. Now, there's a reaction to that. It's why Donald Trump won, which was to round them up and deport them all. And Democrats don't Seem to want that. All ICE has done is gone after people who are in this country illegally, who have been told to leave and refuse to do so. We're not going to stop until every single illegal immigrant goes home. And so my message to them is simple, go to the ICE app, book a plane and go home. If you don't, we're coming for you. And I don't care what walls and fry believe, but they're all going home. Let me get to the short and sweet part of this. As we move to a potential government shutdown, do you think it's gonna happen? DHS funding? You guys did your job. You passed the six bills. DHS funding one of them. Well, you passed all 12, but the six there with the DHS inside. Senate's not looking to do that. They're scrambling over there in the upper chamber. Your thoughts? Yeah. Well, the Democrats fetish for illegal immigrants is just extraordinary. Keep in mind they shut down the government for 43 days last year in order to give illegal immigrants better health insurance than Americans get. So now we're going to, we're going to shut down the government over this fetish to keep illegal immigrants from being deported. It's insane. Democrats swore an oath to protect and defend America, not foreign invaders. Now, whether it happens or not, I don't know, but we aren't there. You know, the House of Representatives is not. We're in our districts this week. I'm in Florida, right. I was all over my district yesterday. So we're not supposed to be back until the government is supposed to be funded. And the deal was cut with Democrats that said they would pass these six deals. Now, I know Democrats don't have any honor and don't feel like they need to keep their word, but if they don't and if they break the promise that they made, the government will shut down. There's no other way around it, right?
A
Congressman Randy Fine, thank you so much for being here this morning. Have a great day.
B
Thanks, Congressman. Thanks for having me.
A
Coming up, the Trump accounts. President Trump is slated to speak on these new accounts for newborns. We have a preview on that. Also later, the new strategy. The Trump administration is shuffling the decks for ICE operations in Minneapolis. How is this going to look ultimately? And will it pull the city back from the break?
B
This news break is brought to you by amac, association of Mature American Citizens. All right, let me just say straight up, I want to be in Naples, Florida this morning. It's 8 degrees here in Washington, D.C. no, thank you. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. I'm David Brody. We are going to get to a story about babies and Trump and money. Now is that not a great tease? T. Bates has it with our one and only Benny Ray Harmony sponsored by amac. The association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can write the course of America. The Treasury Department is slated to hold a summit today ahead of the launch of the Trump accounts for newborns. Officials say that this marks a key milestone for the administration's efforts to promote economic opportunity for American families. Under this program, babies born between 2025 and 2028 will get a one time $1,000 federal deposit into a tax deferred savings account. Families can then add up to $5,000 a year, but the money can't be used to until the child is 18 years old. For more, let's bring in Ralph congressional correspondent Benny Ray Harmony to lay all of this out. She is at the summit. Benny Ray, good morning to you.
A
Good morning, Terrence. We are right here in the auditorium where the Trump accounts summit will take place right behind me on this stage. Now we are expecting a packed house and a packed cast of of lots of different individuals coming here to speak from corporate leaders to congressional leaders to Nicki Min Nagy. And we will have President Trump headlining and speaking at 11am along with Secretary.
B
Of Treasury Scott Besson.
A
It's going to be a great day, Terrence.
B
So let's talk about this summit. Obviously the plan is already in place. So what's next? Is this just kind of rolling out how parents can get involved? Is this business leaders coming together, telling parents how they can ultimately maximize their investment? How does all of this ultimately pan out?
A
Well, I think this is a way for them to advertise the importance of this and the importance of financial literacy. Terrence, I was thinking back before this hit in high school and when I was younger, I didn't learn about savings, I didn't learn about finances and how to set yourself up for success. And that is what today is all about. It is to show these, specifically these corporate leaders like, you know, the CEOs of Dell as well as the shark Kevin O'. Leary. You know, there are, there's a lot of support for these Trump accounts and for saving money for your children. Now one of the things that I find very interesting about this is that you can also have a very diversified stock portfolio with this. Now this allows it to the point so when, when kids reach the age of 18, they have something to stand on. They have something they can put down on a house. And I think with the backlash the Trump administration has been receiving, this is a topic and an issue, Terrence, that people, people across every sphere of life they support because we support our children. You know, we obviously have some of those people that aren't supportive of it. But today is really to push that messaging out and to get in front of this, in front of the economic, you know, the economic positives that the president and the Trump administration is doing in a time where there is so much darkness.
B
Absolutely. Benny Ray Harmony reporting on the ground there as we prepare for the Trump account summit to start. We, of course, will be checking in with you throughout the day as we'll have live coverage here on rap. Vinny Ray, always good to see you.
A
Thanks, Harris, of course.
B
All right, folks, we're going to get the weather. Before we do that, though, be sure to oh, excuse me, I can't speak. Be sure to drop your name in your city in our various social media chats. Be it get a rumble, YouTube, let us know where you're hanging out. And you may be one of the lucky recipients of a hometown forecast in our second hour. In fact, the person that brings you that hometown forecast is Weather Nation's Tracy Anthony. She joins us right now with a quick forecast of what's happening from coast to coast. And unfortunately, Tracy, my pitch to you today is going to be similar to how it's been all week. It's cold.
A
Yeah, it's cold. And that cold isn't doing anyone any favors, especially the areas impacted by the ice and snowstorm over the weekend. Areas as far south as Mississippi still dealing with lots of damage as ice still covers roadways. There's trees down and power not restored. Still about 400,000 people without power. And we are waking up and dealing with some very cold temperatures across the South. We're right down in the 30s. Notice Arkansas, 18 degrees. And as you get farther north, those temperatures drop off pretty dramatically. So still, that arctic cold air that is important place. As for moisture, we're relatively calm and quiet right now. As you can see, we do have a little snow across the Great Lakes and another system working on shore across the Pacific Northwest. But what we're really looking forward to is the weekend. We're talking about another coastal low that could bring the areas of the Northeast in New England another hefty amount of snow. And then we're also talking about cold temperatures as far south as as Miami. But Terrence I wanted to show you this because this is cleanup in Dallas, Texas. And I think this is my favorite when you get the tractors out to clear that snow.
B
Yeah. The bad part is if you're behind them, you can't get around them. But I get it. It's got to go slow.
A
Yeah.
B
There you go. Tracy, always good to see you. We'll check in with you next hour for our hometown forecast. In the meantime, up next, President Trump addressing the situation in Minneapolis. So how does he plan to handle the operations there? We'll have his comments next. First, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this day in 1986 that the space shuttle Challenger exploded to see 73 seconds after liftoff in Cape Canaveral. It shocked the nation and the world. All seven astronauts were killed, including Christa McAuliffe, who of course, was set to become the first teacher in space. Millions of Americans, including school children, watched this live and witnessed the tragedy of Fan. The disaster grounded the shuttle program for nearly three years and forced a reckoning on safety, decision making and grants. Today we remember the Challenger crew, the Challengers cruise to sacrifice and their enduring legacy of courage and exploration. More American sirens in two minutes. Manalapan, Florida, another place I want to be this morning. I'm freezing my you know what off. It's a morning show, so I'm not going to say what the you know what is. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. I'm David Brody. All right. A U.S. citizen hospitalized after a shootout with the U.S. border Patrol. According to law enforcement, agents in Arizona attempted to stop a vehicle. The driver, though, fled on foot. He fired at a Border Patrol helicopter and also agents that were on the ground. Agents, of course, returned fire, striking the suspect, who was then taken to the hospital. The FBI says it's investigating an alleged assault on a federal officer and the suspect is, as we say, in custody. For more, let's bring in retired Border Patrol chief and former HHS adviser Chris Clemmens. Chris, thanks for being here. This situation in Minneapolis, obviously we just reported what's going on in Arizona. I'm curious to get a lot of your thoughts about what's happening in Minnesota, specifically the way forward. We're hearing about de escalating, but I'm wondering if Jacob Fry and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz are really going to work with Tom Homan here. What's your sense of it? Good morning. Well, good morning. And I want to address Minnesota, but I also want to recognize the lead in story about what happened in Tucson, just miles south of Where I'm at right now, this, this is the ongoing threat that border patients face 24 hours a day. Even though the border is secure, we still have hostilities against agents. They return fire, thank goodness they're alive and that that suspect's in custody. Now back to Minnesota. I, I, I agree with you 100%. I think the governor and, and the mayor have put so much vitriol and hate out there and really omissions and misrepresent representation of what's happening, it's going to be difficult to scale back. However, President Trump, this administration really hold the nuclear option. The law protects them to go out there and continue to do what they're doing. But I recognize, and I think the administration recognizes you can't keep doing the same thing over and over again. That's leading to, you know, disruption and impeding assaults against agents and unfortunately engagement that led to deaths of two citizens. So I'm hoping that they find some common ground, de escalate, bring things down, crowd control from the state and city and then allow smaller teams to go out there and execute the targets that ICE and DHS have to go after there in Minnesota, just a quick follow up. The nuclear, you said the nuclear option. Are you talking about the Insurrection Act? Is that what you mean? Absolutely. Or just continue to do more of what they're doing. Right? I mean, like they can, they don't have to concede. Right. He has the law that backs him out. He can say, you know what, we're going to still keep 3,000 Aidans out there, we're going to still do this. But I don't think that's where he wants to go. I don't think that's where the American public wants to go at this point, given all the things that are happening. But we're not going to concede. Law enforcement operation, I think that's the final straw. The President's going to continue to hold strong there.
A
Chris. From the southern border to Midwest unrest, President Trump spoke on the change of strategy there in Minnesota. He said it's not a pullback at all. Take a look.
B
Is this a pullback? I don't think it's a pullback. It's a little bit of a change. Everybody in this room that has a business, you know, you make little changes. You know, Bevino is very good, but he's a pretty out there kind of a guy and in some cases that's good. Maybe it wasn't good here. But you have to understand, when I watch some of the people that I've been watching over the last few weeks. These are paid insurrectionists. These are paid agitators. These people aren't normal. Like oh gee, that, you know, they're incensed about anything. How do you get incensed when you go into a state and you're taking criminals out, you're taking monsters out. Murderers. You know, we had 11,888 murderers let into our country by other countries by Biden with his open border stupid policy. It's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
A
Your reaction?
B
Well, the President's right. You know, first of all, I lived at least two years of that Biden open border policy. But you know, from an operations standpoint, the President talks business. I'm talking operations. You always are. Constantly evaluate and assessing, reassessing, refining and redirecting and repeating. Anytime you put a large scale operation or just a shift operation, if things aren't going well or there's different information or adjustments need to be made, it's continuous. It's, you know, I think Mike Tyson said everybody has a plan to get punched in the mouth, which means you have to constantly refine and readdress. I think that's what the President's doing and that's, that's what I'm hoping with, with home and being down there. I understand our CBP commissioners there and Greg Bovino, friend of mine, he was my neighbor when I was chief in Yuma. He was, he still is the chief in El Centro. The guy knows what he's doing from operations standpoint. But you know, he's been doing this for quite a long time. He's had a lot of stress put on him. He's leading the men and women. He's walking the line with him. I commend him for that. But you know what? It's okay to change things just to make sure we can continue to get the results. Hey Chris, just really quickly in the break, you said that you had just returned from New Mexico. I think you were at a graduation, a CBP graduation, is that right? That's absolutely right. I, I was class 289, graduated in 1995. This was class 1289. A thousand classes over 30 years since I graduated the Border Patrol Academy in Glynco, Georgia. So a couple of classmates and I went to that graduation, got recognized by this, the chief and the staff and got to meet all the trainees. They're graduating, you know, or there was 51 new agents sworn in yesterday and they are entering on duty a class every week. Morale is all Time high. Hiring is all time high for the Border Patrol. It was a great experience yesterday. Okay. I asked that question not to age you. You aged yourself. But I appreciate the.
A
I, congratulations, by the way. I'm being on being recognized and honored too. Sorry, go ahead.
B
Thank you. No, you're fine. So you kind of answered the question that I was going to kind of follow up. I'm sure that you spoke to some of those agents and I'm wondering if there's some concern now that they're in CBP kind of about the public reaction to the work they're doing. Obviously they're coming on the job in order to clear our borders and get the illegals out. But now kind of adding to the challenge of their job is also having to face off with these protesters and with their fellow Americans who are trying to hinder them from doing their job. What's the reaction to that? I would imagine it's got to be kind of tough knowing that's the environment you're going into professionally. You know, during some of the keynote speaking to the graduates, the chief addressed some of that. But, and I, and I shook some hands and talked to families. The families were beaming with pride for their loved one that just graduated. And that, that's the key right there. The people that you make those sacrifices for, that sacrifice for you to do this job. You know, we, we've always operated in all threats, environment, especially as federal law enforcement. You can go anywhere in the United States, even if you're a border patrol agent. We see that play out anywhere around the country and even the world. They understand all threats, environment. They, they took an oath to this constitution to, to defend and protect and, and, and you saw that beaming out of the pride they had when they got their badge put on. They took that final oath office before they got released to their stations. I, I don't think there's a concern. I mean obviously we, again, we're always thinking about the 360 going on around us, but they're one of the best trained academies in the world. 6 months, 117 days of class days. These guys are trained, you know, to the top, top federal standards out there. I was proud. I could see it in their eyes. I could see it in their loved ones eyes. It was a good day yesterday. America should be proud of what the border Patrol is putting out there.
A
We are no doubt about. We are proud that we are and.
B
We'Re very happy that you joined us this morning. Chris, Clint, thank you for being here. Great stuff. Appreciate you. Thanks Chris, thank you all. See you next time.
A
All right. Thanks.
B
All right. See you down the road. All right. Coming up, can cancer cells protect against Alzheimer's? New research here and it really is amazing. The details when we come back.
A
Mystic, Connecticut. There it is. Some great shopping right there if I do say so myself. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us. B
Hmm.
A
New science suggests a surprising link between cancer and Alzheimer's disease. Researchers say a protein produced by tumors may cross the blood brain barrier and help break down toxic Alzheimer's protein buildup in the brain. Now this discovery could point to new ways to fight actually both conditions, offering hope for treatments that target the underlying biology of memory loss and brain disease. We'll wait for more research on that and we will keep you updated. Everybody knows the next medical crisis is just around the corner. B
That's right. Thank you, Dr. G. All right. Turning now from our physical health to our children's well being, this week marks national School Choice week spotlighting the growing demand for education options across the country, families are exploring charter schools, magnet programs, other public school choices that best fit their child's needs. Education leaders say giving parents more options helps students succeed and strengthen communities. Events and school choice fairs are being held nationwide throughout the week. And to discuss this more, let's bring in the founder and CEO of the center for Education Reform and also the Yass center for Education. That would be Jeanne Allen. Jeanne, thanks for being here this morning. Boy, the work you've done, I mean, you started in the Reagan administration there, then you founded, I think, the first education policy center at the Heritage Foundation. You've been at this a very long time, and I'm curious to see where things are at today compared to where things were back in the day. If you will give us the lay of the land this morning.
A
David, thank you. Good morning, Dr. Gina as well. It is so exciting to see what's happening. I mean, back in like 1991, not to really age myself, we were just seeing the beginning of school choice in Milwaukee, African American Democrat Polly Williams partnering with then Governor Tommy Thompson and getting called all sorts of names because somehow we were going to destroy the public school system. Flash forward some 40 years and we are looking at an incredible array of pluralistic options for kids that exist from private sector school choices that expanded from Milwaukee to statewide Wisconsin to 18 additional states that provide some form of money following kids throughout the state, another 10 that have smaller programs, 47 states with charter school laws. By the way, the best news, public school districts that are now competing, which was the point, and that's just in a few short decades compared to the 160 years it took for us to get into the mess that we know to be the traditional system that's been failing kids. So it's exciting to watch. We are impatient. However, we think tomorrow every child should have money following them to the school of their choice because at the end of the day, we do not have time to waste. And that's kind of the whole point about why folks came together several years ago and created this celebratory week. Yeah. You know, as a lifelong homeschool mother, I'm seeing now things where like the money is following the child even into homeschooling, which I think is fantastic. Nothing, though, that we have done has changed the fact, sadly, that when the U.S. department of Education was instituted, we were at the top, close to the top, at least in terms of education around the world. And we are at the bottom, or close to the bottom in Every single measure. As the U.S. department of Education has become larger, more bloated, more bureaucratic. This is why I homeschooled. This is why a lot of folks homeschool. We are looking though, at some big changes. So spell out for us, Jeannie, because you know this inside and out. Spell out for us the results. Spell out for us the testing scores, the actual what differences it's made in the lives of real children and what the Education Department, I mean, I think it needs to be abolished. It isn't part of our constitutional rights as Americans. It isn't of part something that our federal government is supposed to be into to begin with. Talk about those things. Yeah. You know, at one point in time, I have to tell you that when we would talk about this years ago at Heritage and even in the beginning of my founding cer, people would talk about abolishing the department. And I'd been there, right? I'd seen the belly of the beast. And I'd say, well, you know, that's not really the issue. The issue is giving parents options. Here's what happens. Even when you give parents options, even when states take control, people work in that building you're showing right now and they need something to do there. They are earnest. Most of them are well intentioned, not all, but most of them are well intentioned and want the best for kids. The other ones who don't, I don't say that they don't want to help kids. They just put power ahead and happens it's D.C. but the reality is what they do is they create regulatory guidelines and requirements that hamstring the ability of even basic school districts, let alone choices to do their job. So we hear this from superintendents, principals, teachers, every time there's a shift in policy that somebody in Congress, the White House wants things change. Why should that be the case if states are in charge of education? So what's the result been? The result has been more money spent, more people at federal bureaucracies, and a decline in over since 2019 from over 35% of kids, which is still nothing, performing at proficiency grade level in math, reading, science, civics, history to fewer than 30% in most places. And that number just drops when you look at African American kids, minority kids. And so we are right now as a Nation failing almost 75% of students who cannot read, write, spell or articulate what school is about at grade level. That's scary. And that translates into huge illiteracy rates. We have something like 20% of adults who are functionally illiterate meaning they can't read a basic article or comprehend a show like this. That doesn't mean they're stupid, by the way. In fact, just the opposite. And that's what really pains me. They're smart people. They need knowledge and they need skills to be able to demonstrate it to go to the next level. Well, let's hope that this administration makes some really permanent changes that are then codified into law. Jeannie Allen, we thank you so much for being here and for your decades long fight for the future of America. Thank you. So appreciate it. All right, coming up, former Minnesota Vikings player Jack Brewer slams the anti ICE protesters in his former state. We have his comments next right here on American Sunrise. Welcome back. Coffee pods are easy, but most of them are just caffeine and nothing else. Rejuvenate pods are built differently. They're clean pods infused with caakg, a compound linked to longevity, metabolism and deep cellular energy. It's the easiest way to get better focus, smoother energy and long term benefits without changing your routine. I choose them because they match the lifestyle. I want more energy, more clarity and more intention in how I start my day. If you're going to drink coffee anyway, make it one that actually supports the life you're building. Head to 1775 Coffee.com Rav and try rejuvenate pods today. Don't just drink coffee, rejuvenate. All right, now that we are caffeinated, it's time to stay awake, not woke. And today we are further discussing the chaos in Minneapolis. Former Minnesota Vikings player and captain Jack Brewer is calling out Minneapolis Democrats over their opposition to ice. Brewer says the city's leaders are protecting illegal immigrants and allowing violence to continue. He blamed Mayor Jacob Fry for failed or fray rather for failed leadership and calls for stronger law enforcement to restore order and protect American values. Here's what Brewer also had to say on American Sunrise early edition earlier this week.
B
And it's sickening, to be honest with you. You know, the fact it's the audacity, you know, same thing you saw during George Floyd, the audacity, the lawlessness. You know, people that don't respect law enforcement, they believe that a citizen has authority over law enforcement. So they totally disrespect order. And it comes from a spirit that's in that city, man. It comes from a spirit of, I mean, these people are sick minded. When you start to look, I mean, it's, you want to talk about the transgender movement. Minnesota was the state suing President Trump to keep boys playing against Girls, it's the mentality of them, this freedom. At all costs, you can do whatever you want. Well, freedom is not free. And you don't get to attack our law enforcement officers and not pay a grim price for it. And so they've lost that basic reality. You see them marching the streets. I mean, it's freezing cold in Minnesota. Can you imagine going outside all day in marching outside when it's under, you know, negative 10 and negative 20. That's the conditions there.
A
Let's bring in Terrence, Dr. Gina and David for a quick discussion here. Terrence, want to go to you first. I mean, you know, it's a bad state of affairs when athletes are even coming out to say, okay, this needs to stop.
B
Well, he's spot on. And I would just say it goes to show that people have common sense. And when they're seeing things that just make no sense, they stand up and they're calling it out. And so kudos to him for calling it out. And again, David, I see him being spot on. I have no issues, as my kids always say. Well, show me where the lie is. There's no lies as far as I can see. David. Let me make one clear clarification, Emily. You said athlete. Yes, an athlete, a former athlete who's a born again Christian. And that makes a difference. And so that's important to understand. Look, you know, give me a break with these people who are trying to have some sort of moral crusade out there when they're the ones saying, leave our neighborhoods alone, please. We want the illegal criminals to continue torturing people in the neighborhoods. I mean, this is what they're protesting. And please spare me, for these people to come and come at people like conservatives, like us, who are, you know, they're accusing us of immorality, and then the Trump administration, all that. Give me a break. These are the same people that are pro abortion. So I don't wanna hear anything from these people. They need to go home, sit down and shut up, Gina.
A
Yeah, no, you're no doubt about that. And by the way, I love Jack Brewer and his whole family, actually, and the fight that he has had to point to the fact that fathers need to be in the homes, that fathers need to be engaged in their life. That's Jack's big issue, that he fights with his walk and talk. But, you know, you're so right, David. This is why God is so important. This is why we have to start again with the fundamentals. And the fundamentals are getting God back into the lives of Americans in any way, shape and form we can. It's been the plight of the Brewer foundation to do that, for sure, and certainly the plight also of Real America's voice. And I think that we don't stop fighting on that front because that's where the real cure is based. When you get right down to it, I can guarantee you go through every single one of those protesters and there's a breakdown there in the family, in the relationship with Jesus Christ. Yeah, yeah. Spot on, Gina. All right, coming up, more and more young people are turning to faith. What is driving this change? We have the latest facts. Stay with us. And before we go to break, Real America's music has released the new song the Somali Waltz, and it continues to quickly climb up the charts. As of this weekend, it reached number four on the iTunes country charts and in the top 35 overall. Here's a preview.
B
Minnesota's headlines are getting wild. Tim Walls and Ilhan Omar are being accused of massive fraud. And it's so bad, all you can do is laugh at this point. So from Real America's music, the label that brought you the number one hit, Anthem of the free, comes a brand new song from singer songwriter Natasha Owens, the Somali Waltz. Let's make the music industry mad and run this to number one. Scan the QR code code or search the Somali Waltz on itunes and buy it right now. The Somali Waltz available everywhere. God bless the usa. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
A
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's time now for our moments of faith brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible. In focus today, further evidence of young people turning to faith. A Washington, D.C. church says it has seen massive growth since COVID with attendance up nearly 2/3. Wow. Church leaders say more young people are turning to faith, especially after the killing of Charlie Kirk. Pastors say people are looking for hope, truth, and purpose. And churches across the country are seeing a renewed interest in faith. Let's now bring in Pastor Jackson Longmire of the White House Faith Council. Thank you so much for being with us this morning. What do you attribute to this shift in faith among young people? I think it's just incredible to see.
B
Yeah, I think it's amazing. Isn't that. Because all the experts said this was going to be a lost generation. That's what all the experts said. And, man, they've been proven to be wrong. Bible sells are up 40%. Christian app downloads are up 80% this year. Spotify has Christian music downloads up over 100%. These are young people, these are not, you know, my grandma and grandpa go on the Spotify and the App Store. These are young Christians. And I think it's because they're starving for truth. I mean, think about what we came out of from 2020 with COVID to the transgender stuff to just the radical leftism. And I think they've realized that stuff doesn't work. So they're starving for truth, and they're turning to God. They're turning to the church. It's incredible. It really is. Our church has exploded as well in Tulsa. It is happening all over the country.
A
Absolutely. Four years under Joe Biden was a whole lot of lies. So I totally understand that young people need to be searching for truth now. You know, Pastor, I want to get your take on this. An Iowa patron at a restaurant was seen praying over President Trump. I want to show that moment and get your reaction on the other side. Right. So this is a huge difference in what we're seeing. President Trump has really put faith at the forefront.
B
Yeah. Well, only in America could a normal, average American get to pray with the President of the United States. I don't think people understand how big that is. And for the president to engage in that, you know, he's been intentional about having pastors at the White House during this term in this administration because he recognizes, and he has said it in his own words, America doesn't just want God involved. We need God involved. And so he has turned to prayer, had himself surrounded by people who pray. So that's a beautiful thing, though. Only in America would you see that take place.
A
Only in America. And created a White House faith council for the first time. I can't believe that this is the first time in American history that we're really, really focusing on.
B
I know.
A
Great to see. Thank you so much for being with us this morning.
B
Thank you.
A
We'll be back with the second hour of American Sunrise in just two minutes. Stickers. All right, coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise, all eyes on Capitol Hill is another government shutdown seems almost imminent. Senate Democrats are holding firm against funding the Department of Homeland Security in response to ICE related unrest in Minnesota. We're gonna have those details for you in just a moment. Plus, President Trump, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant, and others are set to headline a summit on the new Trump accounts. This is the plan the administration says will revive the American dream for the youngest Americans. We're going to check in later on. Also, Venezuela's interim President Delsey Rodriguez says she's done taking orders from Washington, D.C. this comes as the Trump administration continues to pressure the country to ramp up oil production following the ousting of socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro. Those stories more, too, as the second hour of American Sunrise starts right now.
B
Good morning, America.
A
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
B
Politics. President Trump is joining us live now from Florida. We've got you covered. This is what it looks like to be a patriot. We have to protect the American family.
A
The American dream is still alive.
B
I'm David Brody. I'm terrence.
A
And I'm Dr. Gina.
B
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G in West Palm T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning to both of you. It is Wednesday. It is also the day after Dr. G's birthday. How is everything? Did it go well?
A
It did. I had friends come in from Utah, and we did a bonfire with our Christmas tree in my backyard. It was freezing cold. It felt like I wore my fur coat. It felt like I was in, I don't know, one of the places you all live where you get the cold weather. It's really cold in Florida.
B
Terrence, you know the deal when the minute she said freezing cold, we started to roll our eyes. I know, I know.
A
Down in the 50s. I mean, that's cold, though, when you're, when you're not equipped. That's the thing. It's all about where you're equipped. I remember when I moved from Missouri.
B
To Alabama, be equipped in 50 degree temperature. That's like a sweatshirt and some shorts, like, equipped. Really? 50°. Hey, look, can I just go off the rail real quick? We're talking about These Trump accounts. $1,000 for babies born between 2025 and 2028. I'm wondering how many families are having conversations. How many guys are rolling over and saying, hey, babe, so, you know, we can get a thousand bucks for free, a thousand bucks of free cash if we have another baby. And wives are probably like, dude, really? Really? That, that's, that's your pitch to me? I wonder what kind of conversations or how many of those conversations are being had. Am I the only person that's thinking that? I very well may be, because my brain can be out there sometimes. But I wonder if those conversations are being had. No one's going to touch that. No.
A
I don't know how to answer that. Terrence, you're out there on that gangplank all by yourself. Right now.
B
What were you saying to Gina? But go ahead. What were you saying about the, the weather? Right. Or was it something like that? I don't know. Where are we in this segment?
A
I probably should just have conversations right now. So, audience, we hope you're enjoying this. No, Teresa, I mean, I think you make a point, but I do think that here's the thing that you take into consideration as a lawmaker. I watched my husband learn this over and over again. Whatever you incentivize almost doesn't matter even how much is what happens. More, there is more of what you incentivize. So if you incentivize welfare, if you incentivize not working, if you incentivize fathers out of the home, those kinds of things, you get more of it. So I think the idea is the opposite of that with this.
B
Okay, well, I'll take us off of this gangplank that I walked us onto and get some headlines. Customs and Border Patrol, Border Protection, excuse me, offering up new details about Saturday's deadly shooting in Minneapolis. In a notice to Congress on Tuesday, C.B.P. confirming that two federal officers fired shots during the deadly confrontation with Alex, Alex Preddy. You can see it all unfolding here, investigators say as the Border Patrol officers wrestled with Preddy while trying to arrest him, one of the agents repeatedly yelled, he's got a gun. Eventually, two of them pulled their guns and fired. The report from CBP is the most comprehensive analysis of what happened to date. Meantime, border czar Tom Homan and Minnesota Governor Tim Walls have agreed to continue talking as they try to iron out the challenges in implementing the president's immigration plans in the Twin Cities. The president plans to reshuffle his immigration operation amid the backlash in Minnesota by putting Homan over Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the Minneapolis area. As for the increasing number of face offs and interactions between private citizens and federal agents who are simply trying to do their jobs. Homan says enough is enough. President Trump back at the White House this morning following Tuesday's trip to Iowa, which was likely a welcome distraction from the chaos that's happening in Minneapolis. The commander in chief used the trip to kick off plans for weekly events across the country in support of Republican candidates leading up to November's midterm elections. During his first stop in the Des Moines area, POTUS focused on the economy, affordability as well as energy. Today, he'll address the issue of Trump accounts for kids. As I just mentioned a little while ago, we'll of course have live coverage for you throughout the day that's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast from Weather Nation meteorologist Tracey Anthony. She's got some hometown forecasts for us. Tracey, good morning.
A
Hey, good morning. We're heading out to Clarkston, Michigan. This coming in on rumble from Megan. You're going to be dealing with some snow throughout the day today. Still some lake effect snow across across Michigan. But then we're going to stay chilly and dry through the rest of the weekend. Here's that light at the end of the tunnel after this cold, cold arctic air. Finally, temperatures are going to start to warm up into next week. A similar situation for Wisconsin as well. Just a few more overnights with sub zero overnight temperatures. You get a little snow on Sunday, but then once again, we're getting closer to a daytime high close to freezing. So this is Beloit, Wisconsin coming in off getter from Conserve Forever. Now all eyes are on the weekend. We have another system that could move up the coast. It's that coastal low you've maybe heard about already. But the arctic air is still going to grip most of the US Especially east of the Rockies, even Miami. Miami has an overnight load down in the 30s. Miami hasn't felt temperatures in the 30s since 2010. So it's been 16 years. So this is definitely going to be some of the coldest air of the season. But it's that low that's going to move up the coast. That's really going to be the big talker. We could have more feet of snow accumulating, but it all just depends on exactly where that low tracks. And we won't really know until that low develops. So we're still a little far out, Terrence. But this is the storm system we're going to watch pretty closely.
B
You had me at Miami in 30 degrees. Welcome to the real world, Miami. All right, Tracy, thank you.
A
Yeah.
B
Let's get you over to David now. David, good morning. Good morning. T. Bates. Okay, so the midterm election season officially on. President Trump set the stage for the campaign season in a speech in Iowa where he championed his administration's gains on energy, affordability and other issues, saying America isn't a joke anymore. Right, Joe? Let's watch. We're not a joke. We're not being laughed at anymore. But today, just after one year of President Trump, our economy is booming, incomes are rising, investment is soaring, inflation has been defeated. Our border is closed, Totally, totally closed. And America is respected all over the world. All right. Joining us now with reaction is Tennessee Congressman John Rose. Congressman, good morning to you. So he's back out on the road. I saw there was prayer for him at the machine shed in Iowa, by the way. I've been in the machine shed in Iowa where I've gained probably 20 to 25 pounds over the years and the meatloaf is great there. I'm curious to get your reaction to what President Trump said yesterday. Well, good morning, David. Thanks for having me on American Sunrise this morning. You know, it's exciting to see the president on the campaign trail. I think in modern American politics probably no one is better on the stump than Donald Trump and we need him. Obviously has a great story to tell of the accomplishments he has achieved as president over the last 365 days plus now. It's just remarkable what he's been able to accomplish. And I've been proud to be working alongside the president in Congress to implement his vision for restoring the greatness of our country. Congressman, obviously President Trump back on the campaign trail, as you alluded to, this is all about the midterms, trying to maintain the current balance of power in both the House and the Senate. Put into perspective for us from your perspective as a legislator, how important these midterms are, what's at stake? Well, I think it's very important. Obviously, the president ran on a number of promises of what he would do for this country and he's made dramatic progress in the last year, really unprecedented to see what President Trump has been able to accomplish, everything from getting the border under control to getting inflation contained, not ended, but contained, and now putting money in working Americans pockets, seeing real wages grow for the first time since he was in office the last time. And so the president has accomplished a lot. But we know it will all come to an end if Republicans lose control of the House and or the Senate in the midterm election. So it's critically important. And we don't have to guess what Democrats will do if they get back into power. They're already telegraphing that we'll see never ending impeachments of every person in the administrative branch, including the president. Democrats are committed to being a stumbling block to restoring the greatness of this country. And so that's what's at stake in this election. The accomplishments that President Trump has achieved, I think is the story. And I think that's what's going to take us to victory along with his great campaign acumen. I think we will win in the fall. But we have to get our message out and make sure that Americans know what all has been achieved from the dramatic tax cuts, from the one big beautiful bill, the Working Americans Tax Cuts act, to the growing economy. We saw that the GDP in the third quarter, with the latest numbers available, Revised upward from 4.3 to 4.4% with the Atlanta Fed predicting 5.4% GDP growth in the fourth quarter. If that happens, it will really be unprecedented and is really the path forward for restoring this country.
A
Congressman, it's looking more and more likely that we could be headed into another partial. Okay, I'll get this partial. Government shutdown. As you know, Democrats in the Senate are pushing hard against funding, of course, the Department of Homeland Security because of ice, which is part of the dhs. The government reopened from the last shutdown just a few months ago after it broke records as the longest government shutdown in American history. But this doesn't even make any sense as I understand it, because according to Steve Gruber on our show yesterday, ice is already funded through 29. So what are they even really accomplishing here?
B
Exactly. And we saw this last fall. The Schumer shutdown that the Democrats put us through last fall was all about trying to preserve free health care for illegal aliens. Now they want to safeguard illegal aliens from being deported from this country by shutting down the Department of Homeland Security. I think we see where the Democrats priorities are and that is protecting the illegal aliens that they hustled into the country during, during the Biden administration to improve their electoral possibilities for the future. And now they're fighting tooth and nail to maintain those illegals presence in this country. It's really shameful what we see Democratic, progressive, Democratic leaders all across this country doing highlighted most by what we see in Minneapolis. And now we see the Senate, which has frankly moved very slowly to get the president's agenda across the finish line. And in this case, obstructionism from the Democrats again, just as we saw last fall standing in the way of funding the government and keeping this country moving forward and keeping the president trying to deter the president fulfilling all of his campaign promises. Yeah. Congressman John Rose, great to have you on American Sunrise this morning. I hope you'll come back. Thanks for being here. Absolutely.
A
Thanks again. All right.
B
Appreciate it. Coming up, the Trump administration unveils a new plan it says could help jumpstart the American dream for the next generation. So what are Trump, Trump accounts and how does the White House say they're going to expand financial opportunity for families? Talking about it after the break. All right.
A
Welcome back to American Sunrise. The Trump administration is unveiling a new plan. It says will help secure the American dream for the next generation. The U.S. treasury Department will host a full day summit in Washington to formally launch Trump Accounts, a federally supported investment initiative aimed at expanding financial opportunity for American families. The event, held at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium, will bring together President Donald Trump, Treasury Secretary Scott Besant, members of Congress, top administration officials, business leaders and philanthropists. Joining us now on the grounds with a preview of the upcoming event is national political reporter Neal McCabe. Neal, good morning. Always great to see you. Tell us, what can we expect from the president and others at the event today?
B
Well, you know, there's a carnival like atmosphere as there's a line. I'm not going to have the cameraman show it to you, but there's a line all the way down the sidewalk as people are coming in. And you're seeing a lot of political press here, but a lot of economic press. And they all want to hear President Trump talk about these Trump accounts where the US Government gives you every child who qualifies in their parameters $1,000 of seed money, which potentially could turn into, you know, five or six thousand dollars by the time they turn 18 years old. But among the business leaders who are going to be here is Michael Dell. He and his wife have donated sort of matching funds of six and a quarter billion dollars. That's going to be a big deal. I think what the president's going to talk about is how this is just another attempt by his administration to help people afford what they can't afford. It creates hope, it creates opportunity. And I think people are going to be very excited to see him and hear him. But also a lot of the people here are going to be waiting for Nicki Minaj, who is a rumored guest at the end of the program. I'm not even sure if that's a secret or not.
A
Well, that will be quite exciting to, to end the day on all of that. Now, Neal, I know, particularly for me, I wish that this would have existed. These, these type of accounts would have existed years ago. A lot of American families, I assume, feel that same way. Walk us through the type of support that the President has. Sounds like Michael Dell, throw in a bunch of financial support behind him. But what is the response, Ben, to this idea?
B
Oh, people are going nuts. There's going to be different panels. There's going to be a philanthropist panel with business leaders who are contributing. There's going to be a mom's panel that's going to talk about what this means to their family. And you know, of course, Ted Cruz is going to be here. Marsha Blackburn, Jason Smith, who's the chairman of Ways and Means. So to have these sort of political leaders here from Congress, it shows that this isn't just some crazy idea that the White House is doing on its own. This is something that is in law. It was part of the one big beautiful bill. And Capitol Hill is here to support the president. And that will be great to see that this isn't something that's just going to go away when the next administration comes in. This is a hard and fast law and people are just so excited that they'll be able to tell their kids. You know, it's like you want to tell your kids to do their homework, but you want to say, hey, and if you do your homework, the money will be there for you to go to college.
A
There you go. That's certainly something to get you motivated. Neil sounds like he's got support from Congress, support from business leaders and even Nicki Minaj. If she does some songs, you gotta take a video and send it to me. Neil, I really appreciate, appreciate you being there for us. Look forward to your coverage throughout the rest of the day.
B
I'd be good.
A
All right. Coming up on American Sunrise, a shadow network in Minnesota is training civilians to follow, film and confront ICE agents during active operations. Now there's reports there could be a connection to Governor Tim Walls. We'll have the details after the break. Also, first lady Melania Trump is set to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. We'll bring you there live. Stay with us.

B
With AMEC and Real America's Voice. Go ahead. Scan the QR code now. Welcome back Everyone, we're getting ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's going to ring here in just a few minutes. In fact, first lady Melania Trump is set to ring the bell today. We, of course, will take you there for it all live once it happens. As we wait, though, here's a quick look at the futures. As you can see, most of the board is green, but those top two markets, the Dow and the S P 500, not looking so hot at the moment. Lots changing though. Actually, it looks like the Dow is now the only negative spot there. Again, we'll take you there for the actual start to trading. And the first lady, Melania Trump ringing the bell in just a few minutes. First, let's get you over to David Brody. David, good morning. Good morning, T. Bates. All right, we got a lot going on. As federal immigration enforcement operations continue across Minnesota, a little known activist network is moving into the spotlight, training volunteers to track, follow, document ICE agents while they're in the middle of active operations. The group is called Marnica, operates a 247 rapid response hotline. They've trained tens of thousands of so called upstander legal observers, instructing them to photograph agents, share real time locations and deploy to enforcement sites across the Twin Cities. At recent meetings, speakers associated with the group have characterized ICE as a white supremacist police force, urging supporters to confront agents persistently. Even recommending gas masks, sunglasses and phone chargers for protest. All right, well join us now to discuss more is the president of Courage as a Habit. That would be Alvin Louie. Alvin, good morning to you. I'll tell you what, this is wild stuff. We shouldn't be surprised. You say there is a direct connection here though, between this ICE Watch network and the Tim Walls administration in Minnesota. So tell us more about what you found. Good morning. Good morning, sir. Always a pleasure to be back. So what we found over the weekend was this Monica Network, which is just an ICE Watch network that's organizing all the violence and all the, all the chaos you're seeing in Minnesota. They are listed on Tim Waltz's administration site. It's the site called the Office of Ombuds Person and for families. And literally right there, they're partnering, they're encouraging people to use that network. We also found that they're partnering with care, which is another terrorist organization. So there's a direct tie to that. Not only that, the lieutenant governor, his lieutenant governor Flight Flanagan on her Instagram that is still on there right now. If you scroll down a little bit, she made a Video probably about like five weeks ago, wearing the Monica symbol, the logo on her chest, as she's encouraging people to, you know, docs ICE and to, you know, do all those different things impede ICE and, and things like that. And so, but it's directly tied to them and we've seen the logo during the riots and different things. And so it's insane. It's absolute treason, David. It's absolute treason. Tell me why you think it's treason specifically. That's a, that's a heavy word. You've got a elected governor, a sitting governor, working with an organization that's actively attacking, encouraging, orchestrating attacks on ICE agents who are trying to remove violent illegal aliens that are killing Americans stealing from us. And you've got a sitting governor and his administration that's partnering with a outside organization to impede federal law enforcement, which ultimately, David, it's simply just costing more American lives and fraud if the ISS can't do their job. Yeah. So this is exhibit A, if you will, of specifically what we've been saying all along, which these are paid protesters, these are activists. They're out there doing their thing. We say paid protesters. Do we know anything about the financial aspect of this or is it just more organizational? It's at this point. Oh, absolutely. I mean, if you go into the Monica website, which is just a shell, but when you hit on donate, it goes to another site called the Unidos Fund. And when you go to that, that's when you see all the different partnerships from universities and even some churches. And that fund, part of that fund goes into K through 12. Yes, K through 12, kindergarten through 12th grade. Part of that fun goes into promoting programs in the schools so that they continue to have a factory of foot soldiers made out of your children. Because, you know, we all. And we talked about that on your wonderful show, the Critical Race theory indoctrination in K12. And so they're going to keep those foot soldiers coming. And so, yes, those, these organizations are funded by the same, the, the same type of people. The Tides Foundation, Soros Foundations, and all those different. The usual suspects. We got about 30 seconds or so. How can people help out? Courage is a Habit. Tell us more about the organization, sir. My organization focuses on the indoctrination of Kate in K through 12. And so if you go to courage is a habit.org we have all these strategies and tools because, look, David, we want to see arrests, don't we? We want to see waltz and handcuffs. We really do. But they can arrest all those people but if you don't get the indoctrination out of K12, they're going to keep on sending these people to these monocle networks and filling, filling those organizations out. So courageous. A habit.org and follow us at Courage habit on our socials. Very nice, Alvin. Louis, great to have you. By the way, we'd love to give out a prize that has nothing, no, no monetary value at all. But you win the Skype shot of the day, by the way. So congratulations. Best award I'll get this year. A
All right. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us this morning. We invite you to hop in. Our conversation on getter and rumble. Time now to take the political pulse of America. The beat today. Tensions rising between Washington and Caracas as Venezuela's U. S. Backed interim leader signals she is no longer willing to take orders from the White House. Acting president Delsey Rodriguez, installed after the capture of former strongman Nicolas Maduro, is now publicly punching back, pushing back rather against American pressure, including demands that Venezuela rapidly ramp up oil production. Speaking to oil workers in Puerto la Cruz, Rodriguez declared she had had enough of what she called Washington's interference, saying Venezuela must resolve its political conflicts without foreign control. These remarks came as Rodriguez attempts to keep Maduro loyalists from revolting at home while maintaining the support of the United States abroad. Joining us now with analysis, retired Brigadier General John Tykert. Good morning, John. Thanks for being with us. This power struggle we're seeing in Venezuela, what role does the White House have to play and where do you think this ends? I mean, obviously there are a lot of other ideas that President Trump has, and he's probably not going to take too kindly to this little power play.
B
Gina, I think Rodriguez is trying to manage some internal stakeholders, but thus far she has been sufficiently compliant such that the United States and President Trump is satisfied. But I think it's important to realize that the president didn't move the Ford Carrier strike Group to the Middle East. He kept it in the Caribbean. And I think he did so very specifically so that he could maintain pressure on Rodriguez and the Venezuelan government so they will maintain their sufficient compliance with our demands. And while Rodriguez is managing stakeholders, there is no doubt that she understands that the threat of American action is very real and she's going to remain compliant because of it. Yeah, for sure. Hey, John. So President Trump recently told the media about this secret weapon that helped US Forces capture Maduro. President called it a discombobulator, adding, it was used to disable military equipment during the raid in Caracas. What can you tell us about this? Do you know anything about this, David? By the way, I love that word my dad used to use at discombobulation. But I think there was a combination of factors that allowed the dazzling operational tactical success. There was exquisite intelligence. There was speed, power, precision, and mass. There was a lot of activity in the electronic spectrum. Electronic attack or jamming in adversary systems or spoofing them. And then, you know, when I watch TV and I see SWAT shows before they breach, they throw in these flashbangs, and that adds to the confusion and disorientation of the adversary. And I think there was a combination of those factors. And maybe what the President was talking about with respect to the discombobulator was a combination of electronic attack and maybe something in the audible spectrum that caused confusion in Maduro's compound. That stuff is top secret, I'm assuming, obviously. Right. I mean, we don't know much about some of the stuff that the military has. We have a lot of very unique, exquisite capability, and part of it is important to keep secret. But then the real art is how do you fuse all of that together on game day in order to see the dazzling operational tactical successes? And no doubt that maybe the President was hinting at some of those things that the American public will never know the details of because they are exquisite and classified. Sorry, we want to interrupt you really quickly because Scott Bessant just took the microphone in Washington, D.C. as part of the Trump Accounts Summit. Let's listen in to what he has to say here. Anniversary of the greatest nation on Earth. This singular moment calls for singular legislation. Enter Trump Accounts. Since this historic program was first announced, we have seen a tsunami of support from philanthropists, companies, share of organization and everyday Americans, many of whom are with us this morning. Today we will hear from businessmen and investors, professional athletes, maha moms, and even world famous, the President of the United States himself. What is it that can bring this eclectic group together under one roof? What is it that unites Americans of all backgrounds around a common cause? The desire to empower our children to shape their own financial futures and build a better America. In short, Trump accounts. By giving each newborn citizen a material stake in the American Dream through Trump Accounts, President Trump is mending future investors on every rung of the economic ladder. He is embedding there's an investor. He is embedding financial literacy in the next generation and he's creating an ownership economy to help secure the American experiment for the next century, the next 250 years. Through the power of compound growth, Trump accounts will turn simple investments into life changing money that our children can use for college, their first home or their retirement. The basic building blocks of the American dream. Since I started this speech, 21American children have been born. Approximately 10,000 will be born today alone. And more than 3.6 million will be born this year. And all of them will be eligible to receive a Trump account. From an early age, our citizens will be able to observe the benefits of free markets in real time. And it's all thanks to President Trump. Trump accounts are a generational down payment on the American dream. They are the culmination of more than two centuries of capitalism and financial markets changing the world. And they are the key to unlocking the next 250 years of our national prosperity. Our children's financial future will be built by the men and women in this auditorium and the thousands more listening to today's livestream. Today we will hear from a wide variety of speakers and panelists who will get to explain how you can get directly involved. By donating to Trump accounts, we can realize the President's vision of making every American an asset owner. I invite everyone to join us in this mission and I want to thank you all for being here today. Thank you.

B
Hey, Dr. Gina. How you doing?
A
Doing well, thank you. What do you have for us today?
B
Yeah, great to see you. And I just wanted to to hop on and mention that we did recently sell out of our new Sacred Healing Salve. It's been selling extremely fast and the feedback with that we've been getting has been amazing, which I'm super happy about. But we are now back in stock and we have our team all hands on deck making sure that orders are going out. And we've just been getting a lot of questions about it as well. So I just want to give a little background on it for anyone that doesn't know. But it is handmade in small batches with organic ingredients. And of course, like all of our other products, we don't include anything artificial or unnatural within it. So what really makes the, the salve, or I should say remedy so effective is due to the organic comfrey, which is the main ingredient. And comfort has just been used for centuries to help support things like pain relief, inflammation, bruising and even tissue repair. So essentially helps your body actually repair and recover as opposed to just masking the discomfort. So in terms of use cases, a lot of people love to use it for things like sore muscles if you have joint pain or even sprains or swelling or arthritis support is a very common use case. It works great in those scenarios, but basically you just take a little bit, you rub it onto any area of your body that needs relief. And then we also pair the comfrey with other nourishing herbs that help support things like cuts. If you have scrapes or like inset, inset bikes, insect bites, excuse me, or any itching on your body, it really helps tone that down quite a bit. So it's a pretty powerful and versatile product. And again, if you have things like joint stiffness or like bruising that needs a little bit healing, it works great in those scenarios. For example, I woke up last week with a sore neck and I rubbed a little bit of comfrey on it and within a day it felt a lot better. So that's just a common use case, an example of how you can use it. But we've only been selling it for a little bit, so there's not a ton of reviews. But we've had a lot of people emailing us, letting us know how much it helps and and help them recover with a lot of things, especially with the arthritis. Support works great in those scenarios. So again, if you want to compare it to other products on the market, ours is just a clean and natural alternative. And again, it really does help support actual healing and not just temporary relief. So it's made by the same folks that help us produce the tallow. They do a great job and it's a small team making sure that each jar is handmade and only using the best ingredients that we can use. So I encourage people to check it out. If you don't know, we're located@sacredhumanhealth.com and as Dr. Gina had mentioned, you can always use code sunrise for 10% off.
A
All right, Trevor Comstock, thanks for joining us.
B
Thank you. Appreciate it.

Ali has captured hearts and minds with her beautiful art depicting Charlie and his love for country that we all share. And Sarah joins us now to present her art to real America's Voice. Sarah, first of all, thank you so much. This piece is beautiful. Tell us how you chose. I was looking at the expression in this particular piece and I feel like you put a lot of time into considering the expression.
B
Well, thank you so much for having me, Dr. Gina and absolutely.
A
This is one of my favorite shots.
B
Of Charlie and I absolutely Loved it.
A
My intention with this piece was really to capture his expression and for viewers to be able to see, feel who.
B
He was in every moment and everything that he did.
A
So that was my intention with it. If there were a thought that you could verbalize about the expression you chose for this particular piece, what would it be? Ruthless love. Absolutely.
B
I believe that that was Charlie's mission.
A
And his vision for Gen Z, but.
B
For everyone that he impacted along his.
A
Journey, I do believe that just carrying.
B
The torch forward for me in the.
A
Way that he has impacted me is.
B
Truly just about living my own personal.
A
Passion and purpose and making my own contribution. So I really feel that Charlie's impact was just ruthless love. How do you think that plays out in the years to come in your life and in the life of your generation? Yeah, I really believe that Charlie's impact.
B
Has just been to live freely and.
A
Be fully ourselves, regardless of what society or anyone else has to say.
B
And I do believe that he wanted.
A
Us to be educated and to be.
B
Proud of what we were contributing and.
A
To put so much emphasis on the future. So, yeah, I mean, Charlie's intention felt to me just to be bold and.
B
Be truthful and absolutely unapologetic in our.
A
Middle and, you know, I mean, to do patriotic art like this, which I hate to lump you in with it just as sort of a definition, but it kind of is, and it has a cost for an artist. I mean, you can't, you know, you're not going to have the same amount of broad appeal that you would have if you did any other kind of art. So what made you choose that? Sure, yeah.
B
I mean, I do think that that.
A
Was a big mission on Charlie's part.
B
And a huge, huge reason why I.
A
Was so inspired to follow the path that I've followed. But specifically with patriotic art, you know.
B
You want the following, you're okay with losing following.
A
You want it to be a very deliberate, bold audience.
B
And I'm totally okay with having a few quality followers versus the broad majority.
A
Of people, people who I can really feel and who can feel me and my vision. And I believe that having the boldness.
B
To create what I want to create and have that purpose behind it is.
A
More valuable than anything else. Yeah, it's a really beautiful piece. So tell people how they can find your website and get in touch with you if they want to. Do you commission? Are you commissionable? Tell us how it all works.
B
Yes.
A
Okay, thank you. Yes, I do take on commissions. My website is sarasukainaart.com and you can.
B
Find a bunch of my prints online.
A
You can find a bunch of.
B
Yeah, you can apply for a commission through there. I accept commissions and also my Instagram. I would be happy to fulfill any requests, especially along these lines.
A
Okay, tell us the site again, sarasokainaart.com all right. Well, Sarah, we appreciate it. Your stuff is absolutely beautiful. Looking at this water portrait right now. Absolutely beautiful. So thank you so much for being with us and thanks for what you're doing.
B
Thank you so much, Dr. Jean.
A
I appreciate it. Absolutely. All right, Coming up, more American Sunrise right after this. Yeah.
B
Oh, oh. Kind of like that. Oh, I'm sorry.
A
You're not going to pick it up there, Terrence. I thought you'd go with it. It was a little Motown. I thought we could just roll there.
B
All right, you guys, I'm still waking up.
A
Dr. You know, me too. I think the cold waking up makes you kind of like. Yeah. All right.
B
Well, when it gets into the mid-50s, it's freezing. Yeah, Sorry. Go ahead. David is way. He's all ready all morning.
A
He's all jazzed up this morning. All right. Welcome back to American Sunrise, you guys. I'm Dr. Gina. We thank you for being with us today. Now for the one to watch. Here's what I have my eye on today. Aside from David and Terrence, who are misbehaving, Health and human services secretary RFK Jr set to become a critical voice as Mitchell midterm elections pick up this year. Robert F. Kennedy hitting the road now promoting a Make America Healthy Again agenda focused on cleaner food, fewer chemicals and healthier babies. And more. Republicans believe it could help them hold on to their narrow majorities. Now, Kennedy was in Pennsylvania last night touting a campaign to remove ultra processed foods and synthetic dyes from American diets, an issue GOP lawmakers say is winning praise even from Democrat voters in swing districts. Polling data backing this up showing overwhelming support for food reform and skepticism of Democrat vaccine rhetoric. For me, this is one of the most crucial wins from the Trump administration. You guys, I'm curious what you think about this. Now, I always want to warn Americans no Republican is talking. And I wouldn't call Bobby a Republican. Nobody in the Trump administration is talking about limiting freedoms of food. You will, David, I just want to assure you will still be able to serve empanadas at Christmas time.
B
You were working on that. All show long.
A
All show long. And Terrence, nobody's going to touch your cheesecake. But the idea, I think is to promote true healthy eating because the government has been Promoting the most unhealthy of things forever. And we allow hundreds of additives in our food that are banned across the rest of the world. And I know even my kids, I have a couple of them who are gluten intolerant or whatever, unless I go and I buy noodles from Italy, and then they're fine, and they can eat them all day. This kind of thing is really. It's just wrong, wrong, wrong.
B
David, healthy eating is a bipartisan issue, right? I mean, this has nothing to do with politics, and I think that's the bottom line. And this is maha moms and maha dads as well, caring clearly about themselves, their kids, their families. And so all of this just makes sense. So would I put this as a tier A issue in the midterms. One million percent. Now, to be clear, the economy's gonna drive all of this. I mean, Republicans are gonna live and die on the economy first and foremost, but this needs to be up there just as much. T. Bates. No, absolutely. And it is an issue. That's a kitchen table issue. My wife, in fact, just the other day was talking about this and saying, oh, I'm really glad that Kennedy's addressed this, because it puts our food in line with the rest of the world in terms of making it healthier and taking out the additives, which is something that she's been concerned on. And so she said, finally, someone's addressing this. Finally, someone's taking the food coloring out of all these foods. Finally, someone's taking out all of these additives. It's a kitchen table issue, literally and figuratively speaking.
A
RFK junior for president. Anybody?
B
We didn't go that far.
A
Maybe that's the vamp tomorrow. All right, you guys, listen. War room is up next. Hug your children. Love God, Go boldly live the truth. We'll see you tomorrow.
B
Happy hump day. Take care.
