Ahead on American Sunrise. Taking the oil. President Trump says Venezuela is going to turn over between 30 and 50 million barrels of oil to the United States. And the President says he'll be in charge of the money from it. Reaction ahead. Plus, midterm election voting. President Trump meets with House Republicans on the GOP agenda moving forward. And then he offers up some very controversial language that pro life groups are not happy about at all. And later, Trump versus California. The president announces a fraud probe now underway in the Golden State. What could be uncovered? Will there be accountability? And is Gavin Newsom's hairspray being investigated for too much slickness? I just wanted to ask that. Anyhow, we have these stories and more as American Sunrise starts right now. Good morning, America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina
The American, American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina. All right, good morning, Everybody. I am Dr. G. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David brody in Washington, D.C. and T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, gentlemen.
David Brody
Hello.
Dr. Gina
See, when I call you gentlemen at the top of the show, it means you have to act like gentlemen the whole show. I try it with my kids. It actually doesn't work at all, but it's always. It's a hope.
Terrence Bates
Let me sit up straight then, and make sure my posture is correct so I can be a gentleman. Dr. Gina, that's so good. Why did I go into British voice? I don't know why I thought it means I have to go into British voice. Hold on. That was really weird. Anyway, Dr. Gina, David, good morning to both of you. That's starting off on a great note. Hey, look, David, kudos to you for scooping me this morning. I love your headline, taking the oil. That, of course, is a big story today. President Trump taking to truth. Social writing. I am pleased to announce that the interim authorities in Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 million barrels of high quality sanctioned oil to the United States of America. This oil will be sold at its market price, and that money will be controlled by me as President of the United States of America to ensure it's used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States. I have asked Energy Secretary Chris Wright to execute this plan. Immediately, it will be taken by storage ships and then brought directly to unloading docks in the United States. And then there's the obligatory thank you for your attention to this matter. The Trump administration also set to meet with oil executives on Friday. Dr. Gina. This is what my kids would call a boss move.
Dr. Gina
It seems like he's done a few of those, actually.
Francis Newton
That's true.
Dr. Gina
And you know, the left's heads are exploding. It's so funny how they get on whichever side of the issue is the most convenient to their narrative. But in this particular instance, you know, they're all saying, oh, this is illegal, this is illegal. He can't do this. I would like to know by what authority. See, we have this thing called a constitution in the United States that determines what is actually legal. We don't have that internationally. Who determines what is legal and illegal? It's really the morality of the most, let's just say foot forward country, most powerful country in the world. And that would be the leader of that world, and that would, guess what? Be President Trump. David?
David Brody
Yeah, it cracked me up when he said, the money's gonna be controlled by me.
Dr. Gina
Me.
David Brody
The liberals must be literally reaching for the smelling salts at that point. Right. By the way, let me just say this is a bucket list situation for President Trump. I mean, he has been wanting to take the oil back from 2016 when he went on the campaign trail and said, George Bush, Bush blew it back in the day, they should have taken the oil when they went into Iraq. And he harped on this for years and years. He's been talking about this, actually for a couple of decades. And now here he is and he's not making that same mistake. He's taking the oil. Well, we'll see what the fallout is from it as we move ahead. And the benefit, obviously, it's both.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. We're going to continue to talk about that throughout the hour or the day in general. But, Dr. Gina, in the meantime, would you give us our Bible verse, please?
Dr. Gina
Love to. It's from 1st Thessalonians 5, verse 18. In everything, give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. It sure is. And we have a lot to be thankful for today. President Trump claims protesters against the actions capturing Nicolas Maduro are paid.
Terrence Bates
Listen to this, by the way, Venezuela, everyone, they're marching in the streets, they love it. Except in New York. I mean, where they find these people. These people, they're not like, these people are a mess. I know it's not nice to say that these People are a mess. Where do they find these people? They are the worst looking people I've ever seen. They really, they got hats that are all frayed and all. They look like they're all paid, they're all, they don't even know what they're talking. When the people, the reporters don't interview them because they know that it's, you know, the reporters, the press is so anti. It's hard to believe the press could be so anti because it's all common sense. You know, it's not, we're conservative, we're conservative, whatever, doesn't matter. We're all common sense people.
David Brody
It's not even conservative. It's common sense.
Dr. Gina
You can tell he's missed those press conferences that he gets to have a lot of when he's at the White House. Cuz he's been here in Palm beach and hasn't had as much contact with the press. So now he's like, I just want to talk to you guys. It was a long press conference yesterday and very much funny, just like that. For reaction, let's bring in Wisconsin Congressman Tom Tiffany. Congressman Speaker Mike Johnson also said he doesn't see this as regime change, but a lot of folks out there feel like this could be an issue that is used against Republicans. As we go into the midterms, this will be vitally important. I mean, I know we have our narrative, but do you think that it can be successfully used, whether you agree with it or not, as a midterm political hot potato?
David Brody
Well, they'll certainly try to use it against us. But by the way, 20 years ago, when those same socialist lovers like the Sanders and Sean Penn crew, when that money was expropriated by a dictator who took over Venezuela, that was not a problem to take the oil at that point from private interests. But now the shoe's on the other foot and it's wrong. I mean, it's a, it's this inconsistency you see, including from Chuck Schum, who was ragging on the President five years ago that hey, when are you going to do something about Venezuela? This is the Monroe Doctrine and it's been our foreign policy for 200 years. When people mess around with us in our backyard, it's a problem. I would give you this analogy, Gina. It's like a vicious dog, you know, somebody on the other side of the county. If you hear they have a vicious dog and it's threatening people, you know, you go, oh, that's kind of a problem. They probably should do something about it. But when it's in your backyard, when it's your neighbor with that vicious dog threatening kids and other pets, you take it seriously and you do something about it. President Trump is doing something about the vicious dog that's been in Venezuela and that's China, Russia and Iran. That's a great analogy. That's actually a really good analogy. Yeah. Hey, let me go to a thorny issue. It's the life issue and it's with President Trump and it has to do with healthcare. And I know you know what I'm about to talk about. You were in the room when President Trump said people need to be, quote, flexible on the Hyde Amendment, which of course could open the door to taxpayer funded abortion. Have a look at the comments, sir.
Terrence Bates
Let the money go in a health care account, or however you do it, let the money go directly to the people. Now, you have to be a little flexible on Hyde, you know that?
David Brody
You gotta be a little flexible.
Terrence Bates
You gotta work something. You gotta use ingenuity. You gotta work. We're all big fans of everything, but you gotta be flexi. You have to have flexibility.
David Brody
I'm sorry, but evangelicals aren't gonna buy that. But forget evangelicals for a second. The House GOP is not gonna buy that. I'm curious to get your take on this flexibility situation, because quite frankly, you can be flexible on a lot of different things. I get it. It's the art of the deal, right? Flexibility, but not flexible on. He's the most pro life president we've ever seen. That is not. You should not be flexible on that issue, Congressman. And he tell me what flexibility is. I want to see what that definition is, but it's very consistent. What I hear from my constituents is that taxpayers should not have to fund abortion. It's as simple as that. And I think that in spite of some of the setbacks that we've seen in some elections surrounding the abortion issue, people very strongly believe that taxpayer funds should not go for abortions.
Terrence Bates
Congressman, I know we're playing lots of sound bites from that meeting. You were there. You have to sit through it again. But some of our viewers didn't get a chance to see it. And so that's why we're playing some of it. The President addressed tariffs in the economy during that speech as well. Here's what he had to say on that issue. And then I've got some questions for you on the other side. We inherited high prices. We inherited a mess. We inherited the greatest inflation in history. And you know what was knocking it down the bad economy that we inherited, we inherited bad. We now have the hottest economy in the history of our country. We have $18 trillion being invested in the United States. You have every one of you have car plants, air plants, plants of all different types because of tariffs. So, Congressman, I'm curious what else came out of that meeting in regards to the GOP's agenda ahead of the midterms later this year, but also if there was any discussion about these appropriation bills that remain outstanding with just two, two to three weeks, I guess, left before another potential deadline looms. It's a story that I feel like is underreported. People aren't really talking about it because there's so much other stuff happening. Your thoughts on all of that I just put on the plate for you.
David Brody
Always lots of other stuff going on. But yeah, we've got two or three appropriations bills that hopefully will get through the House this week. We're working our way through that. And that's one of the undertold stories, Terrence. As you just said, these things are being knocked down steadily, but we've got a lot of work to do here in Congress. We need to deal with the fraud that's going on out there. I expect that there to be hearings from the Judiciary Committee in the Senate and or the House here as we go forward. We also need to do work in regards to health care. We started that work before Christmas. Let's give people more options. Obamacare did not give people choices. We want to give people more choices. There's lots of work that needs to be done on that front. But the president is correct. You know, it's been a year now that he's been in office. It seems like so much longer because we've gotten much so, so many things done. But it's only been a year. And you can't fix the four years of failure of the Biden administration in just a year. But we are making progress and we can give the American people no excuses here in 2026. We need to produce and make sure that we pass policies just like we did with one big, beautiful bill that are going to put more money in people's pockets and bring prices down. And we are starting to see that with interest rates coming down, energy prices coming down, those things, I believe, are taking us in the right direction to have a very strong 2026.
Dr. Gina
Sounds good to me, Congressman. Let's have a very good 2026. And that will include you coming back on our show as often as you possibly can. Congressman Tom Tiffany thank you so much for being here today.
Terrence Bates
Good to see you, Congressman.
David Brody
Have a great Wednesday.
Dr. Gina
You, too.
David Brody
Thanks, Congress.
Dr. Gina
All right, coming up, we're going to check out the hottest headlines from the RAV newsroom with the one and only T. Bates. Also later, unrest in Iran continues. Could this be the end of the Islamic regime there? We have expert analysis that's just ahead on American Sunrise. Don't go anyplace.
Terrence Bates
News break is brought to you by amac, association of Mature American Citizens. Breaking news from Real America's Voice.
David Brody
All right, well, here we go again. Welcome back, everybody, by the way, to American Sunrise. We have some breaking news. U.S. forces are attempting to board a Russian flag ship. Oh, it's the Marinara oil tanker. I hope I pronounced that right. I don't know. I'm not good at my oil tanker lingo. The ship was spotted in the North Atlantic Sea. Russia reportedly sent a submarine and oil tanker to escort the ship. We're gonna have more updates on as they come in. This is a huge development. First, OT Bates standing by with other developments. The latest headlines from the Real America's Voice newsroom, sponsored by amac.
Terrence Bates
The association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can right the course of America. White House press secretary Caroline Levitt will likely get lots of questions about Greenland today when she hosts her latest White House press briefing. The interest in Greenland is front of mind as President Trump is reportedly discussing options for acquiring the island. That includes the potential use of the US Military. A statement from the White House says the president sees acquiring Greenland as a national security priority in order to deter adversaries in that region. Greenland is currently a territory of Denmark, which opposes a US Takeover of the island. A number of European countries, along with Canada, also rallying behind the Arctic territory and pushing back against President Trump's ambition to Americanize it. And amid all of the work that's being done under President Trump and his administration, he's warning House Republicans that he'll be impeached if Republicans don't retain and potentially increase the current majority in the chamber. In order to avoid that, he's continuing to focus on securing the nation's elections. You have to have voter id. And you know when you confront a Democrat about voter id, like in a debate or something, I said it a couple of times with Biden and just one, they're very embarrassed when they say we want voter id, voter identification. The only reason somebody doesn't want that is because they want to cheat. Our elections are crooked as hell. And you can win, not only win elections over that and not only win future elections, but you'll win every debate because the public is really angry about it. Those remarks coming Tuesday during a meeting with House Republicans at the Trump Kennedy Center. The commander in chief addressed the group for well over an hour and a half. The Department of Homeland Security is in the midst of its largest ever immigration law enforcement operation. 2000 federal agents and officers are headed to Minneapolis for a crackdown tied in part to recent revelations about alleged multi million dollar fraud involving Somali residents in that city. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was actually on the ground in Minneapolis St. Paul with immigration agents on Monday joining them for arrests. DHS says that one arrest Secretary Noem witnessed involved a man from Ecuador who was wanted in his country as well as in Connecticut for charges including murder and sexual assault. As expected, the state's Democrat leaders are blasting the current ICE deployment with outgoing Governor Tim Wall saying that a war is being waged on Minnesota. We'll of course, continue to cover that for you throughout the day. Meantime, let's get a quick check of your forecast. Weather Nation's Tracy Anthony joining us with a quick check of what you can expect as you get ready to head out the door. You can also join our friends over at Weather simply by scanning the QR code there at the bottom of your screen. Tracy, good to see you.
Dr. Gina
Hey, good morning.
Francis Newton
Sorry, we've got a little gnat in here or something.
Dr. Gina
Dive bombing my face. Yeah, Terrence, from coast to coast, we're relatively calm and quiet for the start of the day. But out across the Northeast, we do have a system that's moving through that's going to bring in some snowflakes and some icing. So that's going to stick around through late morning. So play it on the safe side. If you're getting out and about and doing some driving. We've got some dense fog across the south and the Gulf coast that that fog stretches all the way up to.
Francis Newton
The north Central Plains, though.
Dr. Gina
So this is going to prime the environment for some strong and severe thunderstorms as we get into the next couple of days. So we have three days of a.
Francis Newton
Severe weather threat across parts of the plains and into to the east.
Dr. Gina
Now, that also goes hand in hand with the warm temperatures. So we're talking temperatures 20, 30 degrees above average. And then we'll pick up some snow on the north side of this system. And Terrence, I did promise you this. We've been talking about the California rain for so long. How cute is this guy?
Francis Newton
He's just enjoying the mud in the Bay Area.
Terrence Bates
This might also be a political metaphor. A rhino wallowing in mud. Republican name only. Wallowing in mud. You see what I did there? You see what I. Aren't you proud of me, Tracy?
Dr. Gina
That was great. Yeah, I am. You know, I don't even know what to say to that. That was good. You got me.
Terrence Bates
Well, I tried. The moment you told me you had this video, I started working on that. All right, Traci, we'll check back with you in our next hour. One of our lucky viewers is gonna get a hometown forecast. Remember, folks, go onto our various social media sites, get a rumble. YouTube, let us know where you're hanging out. And Tracy Mae, give you a forecast for you, just for you for logging on. All right, folks, up next, some Republicans continue to criticize President Trump's actions in Venezuela. But what does this ultimately mean for the America first movement? We'll analyze next. Right now, though, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date in 1999 that the Senate began the impeachment trial against President Bill Clinton. The trial followed allegations that Clinton lied under oath and obstructed justice after denying a sexual relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. I did not have relations with that woman. Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist presided as senators, acted as jurors in one of the most consequential political dramas in American history. Five weeks later, the Senate voted to acquit Clinton on the articles of impeachment. More American Sunrise coming your way in two minutes.
David Brody
I don't know about you guys, but when I think of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this is just where my brain goes. I think of Laverne and Shirley, right? Schlemihl, Schlamazel, Hasanov, Incorporated, whatever they say. Anyhow, that's just me. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. All right, as we mentioned at the top of the show, President Trump says Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 million barrels of oil to the US only Trump. Only Trump. He posted on Truth Social that the oil will be sold at market price and that, of course, he will control the money. Goodness, liberals, what are they thinking now? He will control the money to ensure it benefits both the people of the United States and Venezuela. Members of the Trump administration will meet with oil executive executives, by the way, on Friday regarding the plans to do all of this in the future. All right, for more, let's bring in retired Navy captain and gop strategist Armin Kurdian getting up with us early on the West Coast. Armin, thanks for being here. So look, this could be roughly 3 billion worth of oil. So help me out here. Was this really about drugs? Was it more about the oil? Or is it really President Trump giving us his version of the Monroe Doctrine here and squaring it with the MAGA agenda?
Matt Schlapp
Good morning, everyone. I think it's a little bit of everything in this case because you've got Maduro out of there. He was wanted by the US Sanctions and a fine put on, or, excuse me, a bounty put on him by the Biden administration to get him out of this country. I think what Trump is trying to do right now, he is trying to balance a lot of these calls. People are calling, say don't do nation building. And I agree with that. Do not get involved in nation building, but through policies as we're going to run the country, through policy encouragement and influence to say, look, change your behavior. The benefits for your country are boundless. If you actually change your behavior and you start to get rid of some of these socialist policies and treat your people a little bit better. Taking that to a lot of the country, controlling it, maybe investing it back into the country in terms of oil infrastructure, refining capacity, logistics to help Venezuela get that oil out of the country, sell it now at market prices, no longer at a discount to try to flaunt global sanctions. Could do a lot. I mean, oil right now is selling at about $60 a barrel. That is pretty darn low when you look at historical and amount of time and money it costs to get the oil out. Along with that discount, Venezuela has been making very much and that's why their country has such low per capita GDP right now as compared to the rest of South Central America. So so long as he continues his policy of trying to improve life for the Venezuelan people and doesn't get involved directly in the public, the day to day goings on in Venezuela, I think he'll be okay.
Dr. Gina
But that's a juggling act, Armin, because how do you secure that? You know, it's, I think that's really where the problem comes in. I think, you know, this isn't an original thought. I've got to credit actually David Brody on this thought, but we were having a conversation via text yesterday and David was talking about how important his legacy is to him. President Trump. David, I hope I'm not misquoting you and please clarify, please. But we were talking about how important his legacy is to him. And he has so much vested in what he's been through just to get back to this place. And I think that this legacy as the President of peace has become paramount to him. And I guess my question to you is, is there a danger in that clouding his practical application of his presidency as opposed to his sort of philosophical commitment to his own legacy? Wow, David, that's a really deep question. But I hope, Armin, you kind of know where I'm going. And David, you can help clarify.
David Brody
No, I was supposed to say great question, Armin, please. That is a great question.
Matt Schlapp
Absolutely. He does want to be known as a president of peace. You've seen what he's done around the rest of the world and bringing a lot of these conflicts to an end. He understands that peace in the long term is more problematic, profitable than more in violence. He does want to stop a lot of the foreign wars. But at the same time there's overlap in the Venn diagram when it comes to America first policy. It's like, well, how is this America first well strong Venezuela in our hemisphere no longer a thorn on our side that's operating properly and not selling sanctioned oil to countries like Cuba or China does benefit the United States in that sense. So you can say there's some consistency in that sense. I know he doesn't want to involved directly in the day to day operations in Venezuela and you know, a lot of members of the Republican caucus have told him, you know, you need to tread very carefully, did a great thing with Maduro, but don't overplay your hand, don't overstep what you've actually done. Because if he were to do that, he just needs to look at, you know, lessons of history where the US got in over its head and you know, the US is pretty tall and when we get it over ahead, a lot of bad things can actually happen. So he took out Maduro, he didn't engage in regime change. The government of Venezuela is still there. A lot of Maduro's allies are still there. We haven't taken them out. So he's got to understand that maybe some of these policy philosophical changes in Venezuela are not going to happen overnight. They may take some time, but you show them the benefits of what friendship with the US can provide to them vice this antipathetic relationship that they've had with with the United States and some of the other south Central American countries. And tread carefully.
Terrence Bates
Hey Armen, before I let you go, there's a developing story that we're following. We just mentioned it is Breaking news. The US apparently trying to board a Russian oil tanker. That tanker was said to be escorted by a Russian submarine. Does this sort of action, this is, by the way, happening in the North Atlantic. Does this sort of action give you pause? It seems like we're kind of in this era within the Trump administration of really embargoing oil ships and really being a bit more aggressive when it comes to various oil ships from some of our adversaries.
Matt Schlapp
This is very, very interesting. And the first I've heard about it was your first year mentioning, so I don't know any of the details. Is there a connection or a tie or an indirect tie with what the US Is trying to do in Ukraine with security guarantees and trying to bring that war to an end and perhaps pressuring Russia in this sense, going after some of their sanctioned oil at the same time. If Russia is selling their sanctioned oils in place, it doesn't need to go. That's one thing. North Atlantic, I'm not exactly sure where it would be headed because I can't think of any countries like Canada or Scandinavian countries that would be buying sanctioned Russian oil. But we'll just have to see. Oil is basically also the lifeblood of the Russian economy as well. And they are having to sell their. Their oil at a discount at the same time in order to flaunt sanctions and get some, you know, people to take that political risk to transport that oil. And perhaps this is a strategic move, say, hey, we're not afraid to come and take your tankers. But if this happens again, does. Does Trump do it again? And especially considering that it is being escorted by a Russian submarine. You know, Russia is behaving badly. Does he want to risk a military confrontation with Russia? I not knowing anything more, I'm a little surprised by this. And I think a lot of his allies in Congress are going to probably tell him, look, that is probably not the way to compel Russia's behavior.
David Brody
No doubt about it. Our director, Colin, having the breaking news stinger, like, at the ready during the Trump administration, because you never know for sure. And by the way, we haven't even gotten to. Oh, by the way, the Iranian regime may fall. Oh, I'm sorry. Let's have you back next time for that, shall we? So thank you.
Matt Schlapp
Absolutely, anytime.
Armin Kurdian
Unbelievable.
David Brody
Sorry, sorry. Iranian regime. You didn't make the cut today. All right, coming up, new vaccine guidance from the cdc when it comes to your children. Now, that's making the cut. That's a big deal. Which vaccines are still required. Gina's here with that story when we come back. All right.
Dr. Gina
Well, I'm definitely needing some Chicago style pizza right now. That's a live shot of Chicago, Illinois, not too far from Chino's east, which is where I really wanted to go. Do some graffiti on the wall. If you know, you know, and eat some pizza. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us. Time now for today's health news, sponsored by the Wellness Company. And under the microscope today, federal health officials have announced new vaccine guidance for children. This is a major MAHA victory. The CDC rolling back parts of childhood vaccine schedules in a move supporters say puts parents back in the driver's seat. Now, under these updated guidelines, some shots will no longer be automatic for all children and will instead be decided by families and their doctors. Imagine that. What a crazy idea. The change is effective immediately, meaning all US children now only have to get vaccinated against 11 diseases, no longer face getting inoculations for flu, rotavirus, hepatitis B and A, as well as some meningitis and RSV shots. The overhaul is reportedly a movement that Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Has been pushing for a while. Federal officials say the change brings the US in line with other. Well, actually, it doesn't bring the US in line with other developed nations. Other developed nations will have three or four while we have like 80. But anyway, it's a step in the right direction. Let's say that a little more common sense, a little less bureaucratic and a little less deadly. So there's that. Things like measles and polio, those requirements remain in place, but at least it gives parents a slight bit more say over their children's health care decisions. What I love about it most of all is it's going to get parents who've never thought about this thinking about this and thinking, do I really do? Does my newborn baby really need to be vaccinated against STDs, for example? And the answer to that is probably no. Maybe we'll get to a point where we actually measure titers in a child's blood to see if they have natural immunity or immunity from an older shot before just injecting them again with more ridiculous things in their bodies that are causing so many problems. New Year means New Year resolution. So if you are looking to lose weight, get in better shape and have more energy, we have this new thing, the drop, and it is there for you. Dr. Gina
It's good stuff and it's easy to use. Dripping, dreeping, dropping, dropping.
David Brody
Call me Mr. Peptide. All right, so. Well, I've been called worse and so have you, Gina, online this morning. Oh, this morning as well. All right, so when it comes to the Trump administration's actions in Venezuela, what's been the reaction on the ground here in America? Well, in South Florida, Venezuelan communities erupted in celebration after news that Maduro's government was toppled, followed by following, obviously, the US Military operation there. People gathered in Doral and other places waving Venezuelan flags and chanting liberty as they celebrated what many describe as a long awaited end to Maduro's rule and a potential new beginning for their home country. So, of course, you had joy. That was high. But some residents do acknowledge uncertainty about what comes next for Venezuela's future. And with that, let's bring in the former Deputy Hispanic Communications Director for the rnc. That would be Bianca Rodriguez. Bianca, thanks for being here. Appreciate it. So what is your sense of where Venezuelans here in America are at when it comes to what's happening in Venezuela, I mean, the future may be brighter, for sure, but it's also very uncertain, too.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
Francis Newton
I mean, there's a lot of work that has yet to be done. I think this is step one. This is the conversation that I had with a lot of them. I was actually at ground zero, as we like to call it in Doral or Dorel Zwilla, at that same place where everybody was gathered together to celebrate what had just happened. But what I asked a lot of them is, you know, what do you think comes next? And so they recognize, you know, this is step one. But it's a huge step, because what they were thinking was, never in my lifetime am I ever going to see somebody like Maduro being toppled in this manner. So the fact that it's already happened and it happened under the Trump administration is a very significant step. And it strikes a different tone for a lot of these communities that just, you know, they were losing hope. So now they feel like, maybe now I can get back. Maybe now I can go and rebuild my community, maybe go invest again and just live there and be with my family. So, you know, it's very significant, especially in the long scheme of things, where President Trump is known for playing chess, not checkers, and thinking about the long term, especially curbing illegal immigration. So, all in all, you know, this is. This is a great step, for sure.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. I spoke with a Venezuelan American who happened to be the hotel manager at a hotel I was staying at in California over the weekend, and he said that people don't understand in America how literally he didn't have one single friend from his childhood that he still knew. They were all gone. They were all either just they had escaped or God only knows what had happened to them, but not one single friend out of all the people he'd known in his life, he was going to go back to Venezuela to visit now that this happened, and he realized he doesn't even know anyone there. It must be a haunting feeling, and it must feel a little bit like, wow, to live in this lifetime might be really different for Venezuelans. You mentioned some might go back because some might still have family members there and whatever. What do you think the impact will be on Venezuelan Americans?
Francis Newton
So I think it's definitely that. That's one of the biggest sentiments that they feel, that they feel that they told me, is they haven't been able to go back for years, or a lot of them are here, you know, seeking asylum or their refugees or whatever their case may be. So, and a lot of them have said, you know, I never intended really to come here and live the rest of my life here. So that's, that's why I think when it ties into President Trump's immigration policies, this is really great. And it could have a ripple or domino effect on the rest of the western hemisph and just the irregular patterns of immigration that we've been seeing because a lot of them say the same thing. I mean, we've seen countless videos as well of other reporters on the ground with, you know, when they've come across them as they were trying to cross the border illegally in previous years and they've, they've always said the same thing. It's like we're trying to flee a socialist regime. So I think it also goes back to that. Right. It's the damages of socialism and communist ideals that a lot of Americans understand and they're trying to implement in cities like New York with just zero personal knowledge or experience of what those devastating consequences are, which include poverty, starvation and even death and imprisonment of people that disagree with these regimes and these dictators.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. Well, now putting, I guess, personal property on the line in New York is a real thing with Mondami's new policies where I guess he's hired someone who said, you know, we shouldn't have personal home ownership. We should just take middle class and wealthy people's homes away from them and redistribute that. And certainly those folks who have experienced real life in socialist countries know exactly what that means. Fianca Rodriguez, we thank you so much for being here today.
Francis Newton
Thank you for having me.
Dr. Gina
Coming up, President Trump versus California. Trump says a fraud investigation into California has begun. What will be found? We're going to take a look next on American Sunrise.

Head to 1775 Coffee.com Rav and try rejuvenate pods today. Don't just drink coffee, rejuvenate. All right, now that we are caffeinated. It's time to stay awake, not woke. And today we are discussing President Trump and California. Trump says a fraud investigation into California has begun. He posted on Truth Social saying, quote, California under Governor Gavin Newsom is more corrupt than Minnesota, if that's possible. The fraud investigation of California has begun. Thank you for your attention to this matter. This comes after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz ended his re election campaign over fraud claims in his state. Trump says fraud issues in Minnesota and California show a broader pattern of misuse of taxpayer funds that must be stopped. We want to know what you, our viewers think about all of this. Let us know on Rumble or Getter. Hop on and let your voice be heard. Still ahead on American Sunrise, the youth renewal in faith. What is driving this? We have those developments next on American Sunrise.

Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's time now for our moment of faith brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible. In focus today, the revival of faith among young people. Young people around the world are turning back to faith and more. Members of Gen Z say that religion and spirituality help them find purpose and comfort during times of stress, uncertainty and rapid social change. Social media is also playing a role with faith based content and influencers making religion more accessible. Experts say this shift challenges the idea that religion is fading and could shape global culture for years to come. For more, let's bring in Pastor Jackson Lohmire of the White House Faith Council. Pastor Lauemire is also the author of the new book Breaking Free from the Double Life. Welcome to the show. Thank you so much for being with us this morning. You know, I am part of Gen Z and I will say that last year I grew closer to my faith than I ever have before. I think it's just incredible to see this trend among young people, people. What do you attribute to this?
David Brody
Yeah, well, you know, this was what all the experts said was going to be a lost generation. And boy, they were wrong because, you know, we see record numbers and bible sales, Christian app downloads, Christian music downloads. And I think the reason for this is because we went so far to the extreme left wokeism where we wanted nothing to do with God, nothing to do with faith. And then we figured out it doesn't work. And this is a generation that lived through Covid and corruption. And so people are looking for truth and now they're coming to find it with God through the church, the Bible. And we're seeing a resurgence of faith in America. And it's incredible.
Emily Finn
It certainly is incredible. You know, I always say that I think social media is really kind of, I want to say to blame, but kind of the inspiration behind young people wanting to come to church. Because the Bible is the truth and it never changes. You know, you can go and you can worship and be part of a community in that way. And I think that social media has just been so evil in this world. Do you think that we're going to see kind of in conjunction with this turn back to faith among Gen Z also a turn away from social media?
David Brody
More than likely, because what happens is people kind of realize what they're feeding themselves primarily through social media is not necessarily good for them. Social media thrives upon anger and hatred. That's what keeps you scrolling and it doesn't feed you well. And so the closer you're drawing to God, the more you don't want things like that in your mind, with your eyes, your ears. So social media is a new variable for the human experience. You have to realize it's a new thing that we're all processing, waving through those waters. But the best thing I would encourage people to do is get a physical Bible. I know a lot of people like to read their bibles on their phones and that's wonderful, but it's easy to get distracted. Get a real physical Bible, a new.
Emily Finn
Variable to the human experience. I think that's a really good way to describe kind of the phenomenon of what we're discussing here. You know, I wonder what your advice would be to young people, because peer pressure is something that I think is really prevalent, something that, you know, a lot of young people have to experience. And that if it's not cool to be going to church, it's not cool to be wearing a cross or talking about Jesus. How do you draw on your faith to have confidence to still walk with God in your everyday life?
David Brody
Well, you have to wonder, you know, who am I aiming to please? Am I wanting to please people or do I want to please God? And sometimes pleasing God means that you disappoint people. But you have to make that decision. Who is your aim to please? And the thing is, no one likes to be the pioneer. I understand that. But courage is contagious. And if you will lead, people will follow. If you'll lead in walking with the Lord, going to church, reading your Bible, people will follow you. And so be strong for your faith. Be a true follower of Jesus. And great things right now are happening in the United States of America. We're returning to our roots.
Emily Finn
Absolutely. This is a Christian country, and those are the roots that we certainly need to return to. Pastor Lahmire, thank you so much for joining us this morning. Appreciate you.
David Brody
Thank you.
Emily Finn
All right, we'll be back with the second hour of American Sunrise in just two minutes. Make sure you're sticking around.
David Brody
Coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise, to the victor go the oils President Trump announced, announcing a major move in Venezuela. Tens of millions of barrels of oil heading to the United States after the capture of Nicolas Maduro. The White House says the proceeds will benefit both countries. We're going to have the latest just ahead. Plus is Greenland next. Denmark's prime minister is sounding off on President Trump's push to annex the frigid but strategic landmass. He says the movement would mean the end of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Oh, that'd be NATO. The White House is saying the exact opposite. By the way, the war of words ahead that looks cold. And later, namely Amy. Minnesota Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar reportedly considering a run for governor of Minnesota. This coming after sitting Governor Tim Walz announced he will not be seeking a third term in office. Hours after fallout from widespread scandals under his time as governor, Minnesota was more like the land of 10,000 mistakes, not lakes. Those stories and more as the second hour of American Sunrise starts right now. Good morning, America.
Dr. Gina

Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G in Wes Palm T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, guys. You're clapping. T. Bates, why are you clapping this morning? Yes. Did I do something right?
Terrence Bates
Brody, you have outdone yourself. To the victor go the oils. You know I'm a sucker for a good pun and Turner phrase. That was good. That's a headline right there, my friend.
David Brody
Well, it took me three and a half seconds. I appreciate that. Thank you so much.
Terrence Bates
Your genius is just on top. Top of mind.
Dr. Gina
You guys, I have to. I have to tell you about this beautiful ornament painted from the inside out, sent to us by our chat member, Tam Tam, who is so amazing she wants us to put it on the tree next year because didn't make it in time for this year. But she did the most thoughtful thing. I've been fighting tears the whole time because she recreated my little pillow that was my grandfather's in World War II that I lost up in Orlando this year. She recreated it precisely. This is the gold pillowcase. It's top quality. It's downfilled. I cannot still believe that someone went to all of this trouble. This is quite literally the most thoughtful thing I've ever seen. But she didn't forget you guys either. And she also, her daughter in law did this beautiful bag. I know my redeemer lives. She's now instead of Tam Tam in our chat, she's now War room prayer team. And thank you, Tam. You know the sorts of things that our audience members do. I'm telling you, you have no idea how this affects us all so profoundly. And I wish we had more time to talk about it. Thanks.
David Brody
Oh, my goodness. That's amazing. You're not seeing like CNN viewers and Anderson Cooper.
Dr. Gina
No, a little different.
David Brody
A little different. By the way, mascara alert. Please don't. I mean, trust me, I don't want my mascara to run. So just, you know, hang in the tears. Hang in the tears. That's one.
Terrence Bates
And just for the record, I wake up like this. So there's no makeup on this face. I wake up like this.
Dr. Gina
Terrence, I've seen you with your makeup brush. I know better.
Terrence Bates
I Travel my flight, Dr. Gina. I travel with light. That's hilarious. All right, guys, so look. President Trump reportedly discussing options for acquiring Greenland. Those options include the potential use of U.S. military. House says the President sees acquiring Greenland as a national security priority in order to deter adversaries in that region. In the meantime, the president warning House Republicans that he'll be impeached if Republicans don't retain and potentially increase the current majority in that chamber. He's continuing to focus on securing the nation's elections as well, particularly with this year's midterms looming. The commander in chief reiterated his concerns during remarks before House Republicans on Tuesday at the Trump Kennedy Center. And the Department of Homeland Security is in the midst of its largest ever immigration enforcement operation. 2000 federal agents and officers are headed to Minneapolis, Minnesota for a crackdown tied in part to recent revelations about alleged multi million dollar fraud involving Somali residents in that city. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was actually on the ground in Minneapolis St. Paul with immigration agents onto Tuesday joining them in making arrests. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony joining us. She also has your hometown forecast. Tracy, good morning.
Dr. Gina
Hey, good morning, Terrence. We are starting out in Huntsville, Alabama, taking you out there where temperatures are going to be toasty. We're talking 20, 30 degrees above average, 71 degrees by Thursday. I mean, this doesn't look like a.
Francis Newton
January seven day forecast.
Dr. Gina
So very, very mild in Huntsville. And if we head out west, this is Kalispell, Montana, where we're gonna have several days of snow, heavy mountain snow. And those snow levels will be dropping, so fairly chilly, especially through the overnights. But temperatures here staying rather moderate. So not going to to fluctuate too dramatically over the next couple of days. And then our last stop is Mesa, Arizona, where the Southwest and the Four Corners have a system rolling in off the Pacific that's going to bring in widespread rain and some more mountain snow all the way down to areas like New Mexico. So a lot of activity that's going to really start to ramp up as we get closer to the end of the week. Terence.
Terrence Bates
Wow. Huntsville, Huntsville, Alabama, you said 20 degrees over its normal. That's awesome.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
Terrence Bates
That's awesome.
Dr. Gina
20 to 30 degrees. Yeah, it's gonna be warm.
Terrence Bates
That's gonna definitely be warm. All right. Get me a ticket to Huntsville. I'm on my way. Tracy, always good to see you. We'll talk to you tomorrow.
David Brody
Yep.
Terrence Bates
All right, folks, let's get you back over to David Brody. David, I Wish, I wish 20 to 30 degree higher temperatures for you there in the nation's capital. I, I know it's not gonna happen, but how nice would that be, right?
David Brody
It Might go up actually about 5, 10 degrees in the next day or two. So, you know, from what did they say? From your lips to God's ears. From your lips to God's ears.
Terrence Bates
There you go.
David Brody
All right. President Trump announced Tuesday that interim authorities in Venezuela will turn over between 30 million and 50 million barrels of high quality sanctioned oil, or as Donald Trump would say, the best. It's the best oil. It's actually not the best oil, but now, now, anyhow, here's the point in a truth social post. There it is. The president says this oil will be sold at its market price and that money will be controlled by, wait for it. Me as president of the United States of America to ensure it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States. All right. Joining us now with a reaction of CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp. Matt, good morning to you. I'm curious what you think of this move by the president. And oh, by the way, do you want to weigh in on Colombia and Cuba and Greenland?
Matt Schlapp
Oh, my.
Armin Kurdian
Well, people who follow the oil markets tell me that the idea that the Venezuelan crude will be back on the market traded in American dollars is actually a very big deal. A lot of people believe that the collapse of Maduro's reign of terror will have a very positive impact on Cuba with or without America doing anything additionally than just keeping the sanctions that we've had on that island for 70 years or so. So there's going to be a ripple effect from this action in Venezuela. And I look at Venezuela, I'm more in the camp of since I worked for President Bush and Mercy and I worked, met working for President Bush, we ran out of the White House on September 11th. We're part of this whole war on terror effort. And I think after that, there was a little bit of a, there was a little bit of a hangover of using American military might to wage the war on terror. And I think people have that hangover. We called it a quagmire in Vietnam. So I'm in the camp of let's be careful about putting troops on the ground everywhere. But I view this as more of a, this is a legal, this was an arrest of someone who had been convicted and someone, even Joe Biden had a bounty on his head. So I'm applauding the policy and I think it's masterful. We didn't lose any American personnel.
Terrence Bates
No, absolutely. President Trump really has his fingers on a number of different parts of the world. Let's go to Greenland. If you will follow me, Matt President Trump, of course, continuing to push for control over that island, saying that it's critical to use US national security interest. Denmark's prime minister pushing back against the president. So saying that annexing Greenland would actually lead to the end of NATO. What do you make of all of this? And can you break all of this down for us holistically? Because there's a lot to chew here, to chew on.
Armin Kurdian
Well, first of all, the whole NATO question is fascinating, right? So President Trump is the one who saved NATO, because he's getting these countries to actually contribute more of their GDP to national defense. And Europe is a sitting duck for Putin. It's not Donald Trump's fault that they're a sitting duck. They're a sitting duck, many of these countries, because they haven't invested in their defenses. They just assumed that America would come to the rescue. By the way, Terrence, America can't be the global sucker that picks up all the bills and has to do all the hard work. Our troops have to do all the hard work. These countries have to take care of their own defense. So. So not feeling that sorry for Denmark's concern over NATO. And look, I think he ought to sit down with President Trump and hear him out. And if he's basically saying he needs America's cooperation to defend his country, then he needs to hear about America's point of view in that conversation.
Francis Newton
Yeah.
David Brody
And, Gina, I know you've got a question, but just real quick, can I follow up on Greenland for a second? Yeah. This feels very much like the art of the deal with Trump. I mean, in other words, yeah, we need Greenland. He's floated out the military option. I mean, let's be honest, no one's going to fight the United States over Greenland. Okay. It's not gonna be Denmark versus the United States on Greenland. So he can take it if he wants, but he's just throwing that out there because what he really wants to do is buy Greenland. I mean, that's my sense of the deal here. What do you think?
Armin Kurdian
Yeah, it's true. But I would say this to President Trump. I think if that's something that, that he believes is in the national security interests of the United States, he's going to have to really explain it to the American people. You can look at this polling in Venezuela. You can look. I get a lot of feedback from our donors and board members that say, why is he spending so much time on foreign policy when America is hurting? I don't disagree with what President Trump is doing. I just think we got to make sure that we communicate that to the American people. Why is this in our national interest? I don't think that's been accomplished yet. So if that's the intent, and let's, you know, he's the best salesman in the world. So let's go explain to the American people why this would be a good deal.
Dr. Gina
Matt, speaking a little more domestically for a moment, which I have to tell you, I'm a little surprised. I don't know how you feel about it, but I am a little surprised with how internationally focused President Trump has been. I really thought he would be the domestic president. So this is all just interesting to me and I don't know how it's all going to shake out, but it's fascinating to watch and it gives us lots of good fodder for this morning's show. But one of the things he said yesterday in a press conference was that we need to be more flexible on the Hyde Amendment. I know that you and Mercedes have been warriors for the life issue. What, how should the pro life MAGA contingent take that suggestion by President Trump?
Armin Kurdian
Well, the Hyde Amendment, just for everybody's, all your watchers point of view, who don't follow politics, this was the fight during the Reagan years when I was a boy to make sure that, that there was no taxpayer funding of abortions. And so Henry Hyde, which who was a big pro life congressman from Illinois, made sure that every year they passed a rider that prohibited any federal taxpayer money going to abortions. And so this has been even people that were pro choice, many of them said, look, we shouldn't have the taxpayers involved in paying for abortions. And of course, the Democratic Party has lost their mind and therefore abortion at any time for any reason with the government paying for it. But the Republican Party, even those who have a disagreement on abortion, this is one thing everybody agrees on. So, so when President Trump says there should be flexibility, I'm going to chalk this off to he used words that he didn't really intend to set. This kind of like concern that somehow he's for taxpayer funding of abortions. I don't believe he is. I don't believe there's any change in policy. He gives a lot of extemporaneous speeches. He works in a way like I've never seen speech after speech after speech. I'm going to chalk this off to people misunderstanding what his intent was.
David Brody
But we need clarification on flexibility. I mean, I mean that that's untenable. He's the most pro life president there is he can't do that.
Armin Kurdian
I agree. Look, we. The one thing even, like I said, even pro choice Republicans agree with many of us on is the idea, okay, let's keep the government out of the abortion business. And by the way, the other thing that the Democrats have lost their mind on is they don't even believe in a conscience clause anymore. They think, I think Catholics and Christians should be forced, if they're in the healthcare industries, to be a part of the abortion industry as well. And that's untenable.
David Brody
Matt, great to have you.
Dr. Gina
Happy New Year, my friend.
Terrence Bates
Happy to see you, Matt.
Armin Kurdian
All right, talk soon.
David Brody
All right, coming up, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Yuck. Oh, they're officially shutting down. Have you heard, after Congress pulled the plug on federal funding, what this means for npr, PBS and the future of public broadcasting? We'll check in with Big Bird next.
Emily Finn
Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily Finn. It's great to have you with us this morning. Time now to drain the swamp. And this morning, we are fleshing out. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the federal entity that for nearly 60 years funneled taxpayer dollars to PBS, NPR and public media stations nationwide is officially shutting its doors. The move comes months after Republicans in Congress voted to strip the organization of federal funding.
Dr. Gina
Funding.
Emily Finn
Following long standing complaints about political bias and programming decisions. Rather than remain dormant and wait for a possible future restoration of funds, CPB's board voted to dissolve the organization entirely. NPR and PBS, however, will continue operating through private donations, grants and other revenue streams. For more, let's bring in Dr. Gina Terrence Bates and David Brody. David, you know you said we were gonna check in with Big Bird on all of this. Wanna hear your thoughts.
David Brody
Well, Big Bird decided not to show. We had connection. Yeah, no, there was a problem. And plus he was out of frame and we couldn't frame the situation. It was not good. Look, 15% of PBS. We're talking about PBS here, specifically, 15% of their funding comes from the federal government. So they're fine. You know what I'm saying? They get underwrited by corporations all the time. And from. Wait for it. Let's all say it together. Viewers like you, right? Maybe not us, by the way, but viewers like you. So there'll be plenty of money coming into pbs, number one. And I'm gonna be honest with you. Look, I'm an open book. I'm not hiding anything. I love some of the shows on pbs. Okay. Call the Midwife. Love it. Antique Roadshow. Love it. Downton Abbey back in the day. Love it. Yes, my wife got me hooked. I'm sorry. Okay, I'll be honest. That's fine. But the point is, I like some of these shows. I don't like a lot of the liberal mumbo jumbo. And npr, that's a whole nother discussion. Can't stand it. But on pbs, I do like some of the shows. Gina. I'm just saying.
Dr. Gina
I used to love Rick Steves back in the day. Remember his show? I don't even know if he's still on there. I've watched PBS in decades. And the reason is because PBS has become something that's ancillary. Look, I think we have to look at the foundational elements of government. And I know that our executive producer disagrees with me on this. We had a little bit conversation on our call. But the foundationals of government say that the government is to provide very few things, and one of them is certainly not our educational programming. I understand that early on the idea was perhaps benevolent that, you know, you have this public entity that serves these areas in, let's say, rural West Virginia via analog. The little TV antenna thing, things. Look, there's not a human being in America that is over the age of, let's just say 12 that does not have one of these. Now you can watch Rav, Congratulations, you don't need NPR anymore. That's at least that's my personal feeling. People can disagree, but I just don't think. And plus the fact that anything that is government is not done efficiently, number one, and is corruptible and usually is corrupted within a very short period of time. And NPR is case in point of that. Terrence.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, and we've all had these conversations and I've even been in our chats and talked to a number of our viewers. And really, for them it comes down to fiscal responsibility. The government shouldn't be involved in funding these entities. It doesn't matter what they're saying. The government shouldn't be involved in funding these entities. That's the bigger issue. They can exist, and we as consumers can choose to watch or turn them on off, but the government, again, shouldn't be involved in funding them.
Dr. Gina
No one saying they shouldn't exist. No one even in our chat is saying they should exist. This is about taxpayer funding.
Emily Finn
Absolutely right.
Terrence Bates
And I hope I wasn't saying that that wasn't the implication. I'm not saying that you can choose to watch or not watch. That's your right. No one's saying that they shouldn't exist. But the argument, and I think it's a fair argument and a reasonable one is that the government shouldn't be funding them, shouldn't be paying for them to exist or to operate. That's my point. Go ahead.
David Brody
We got to go. No, we got to go.
Emily Finn
We got to go. Before we do, I just have to say if taxpayer dollars go to Rick Steves, I'd be okay with that, Gina, because he is awesome. Anytime I travel, I always have to watch his videos. Usually go to YouTube, but. Okay, let's wrap this up. Coming up, we are headed down to Wall street for the opening bell and insight into how to hold on to your hard earned dollars with some common sense. We'll be back with more American Sunrise in just two minutes. Stick around.
Terrence Bates

They come from God with AMAC and Real America's Voice. Go ahead, scan the QR code now. Welcome back everyone. We're getting ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's set to ring here in just a few minutes. Here's a quick look at pre market trading. Not looking so hot on our board. Really only one bright spot. Everything else in the red. We of course will continue to monitor this for you and we'll take you to the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange live here in just a few minutes. First though, let's get you over to a very well lit David Brody. He's hanging out this morning. David. David, good morning to you.
David Brody
Good morning to you, Bates. Yes, for sure. Now my secret is exposed. It's just lighting, folks. It's just lighting. I know you confuse me with George Clooney. I understand. I get that. Time now for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. Joining us now with what you need to know about keeping your hard earned dollars in your wallet is economic strategist and wealth manager Francis Newton. Francis, good morning to you.
Francis Newton
Good morning.
David Brody
Yeah, I like that title, wealth manager. I want to be a wealth manager. I want wealth. All right, so let's start with Venezuela. So we have this White House official who recently told the press that President Trump has spoken with multiple oil companies about investing billions of dollars to rebuild the country's energy sector after Nicolas Maduro's asked him, so what impact could all of this have on Americans? Like, help us make sense of all of what's going on down there in Venezuela?
Francis Newton
Well, I think that one of the, an impetus for the White House is especially with affordability issues and the wealth gap and the fact that we have a bifurcated economy with 60% not owning assets and, you know, subject to inflationary pressures, even though inflation's declining, those prices never really go back down to where they used to be. They just stop accelerating at that rate. And then you've got the upper 40% that's kind of holding up consumerism and is benefiting from that. So, right. We've got the midterm elections coming up up, and affordability is just a huge issue. And so there are a couple of ideas behind this. One of the ideas is to increase the supply, which is to lower prices at the pump. Now, that also lowers margins for these private companies. So he has floated the idea of if they're going to go in and spend billions and billions on revamping Venezuela's infrastructure. And my understanding and not my area of expertise is that they have a different viscosity of their crude oil. So refining that crude oil is a little bit of a different process, meaning a different thickness. So basically, he said that either the government would repay them or potentially if they had enough in revenue to cover those costs, then he would evaluate it at that time. So this is a play to. And he, he justifies this by saying that when Hugo Chavez nationalized oil and Conoco and Exxon left, that he confiscated U.S. assets. And so that's why he's saying, I'm gonna, that was a huge theft to our country. So he's bringing back the U.S. assets. There's also a humanitarian play here in Venezuela because they have been in a human rights crisis for a long time. I mean, I remember visiting Colombia in late 2024, and Venezuelan migration was such a huge issue for the surrounding countries because of whatever suffering was happening in Venezuela. There's that play. The other play is the global competition. Shall we Call it with China for control of resources. And this is going to be kind of a, you know, he's trying to control more resources because of what China did in restricting the rare earth's minerals. The United States and China, you know, right now the United States has 30 trillion in global GDP, which is 26% of the global GDP. China's behind at 19 trillion and it's only 17% of the global GDP. But there's an active competition between the two countries for dominance. And so Venezuela does do some oil trading with China and it is about gaining more control of the global resources.
David Brody
We've got about 30 seconds or so, but I am curious. This is a quick follow up. So a lot of people are thinking, okay, these oil companies are going to go down there at some point. And so they're thinking about their 401ks and they're thinking, oh, maybe I should, I don't know, invest in X, Y and Z oil company. What's the strategy there? What's your sense there? Because that's kind of like a, like a basic thing that I think people think.
Francis Newton
Yeah, I understand how people think about that. And certainly the oil stocks got a bump off of this news. Ultimately, stock prices come down to, number one, earnings. And number two, they come down to global macro factors and where we are in an economic environment and what is correlated with the rest of the S&P 500. So, you know, American exceptionalism remains strong, strong. And the global markets are based on liquidity and the liquidity in America remains very high and very strong, which is bullish for stocks. Now, to the extent that these companies have to spend a lot of money, they could get some margin pressures. It remains to be seen whether or not they will put pressure on that. Oil stocks typically have high dividends. So you have to talk to your financial advisor about what you're chasing there.
David Brody
We are up against the bell. We got to have you back. Love it. Francis, thanks so much for being here.
Francis Newton
My pleasure.
David Brody
Time for the bell.
Terrence Bates
Sponsored by amac, the association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can write the course of America. We're less than a minute away from the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. As you can see, the applause is already underway, which means the bell is going to ring here in short order. Coastal States bank is at the podium and so they are going to be the ones that get us started on this day of trading today. There you have it Ladies and gentlemen, the bell is now ringing, which means the markets are officially open and the first buys and sells are being submitted right now. Here's a quick look at the board. As you can see, the Data Dow, S P500 and the NASDAQ all in the green. In general, it's a pretty good looking board so far, just the bottom half not looking so good as those specific trading indices and those trading ideas are in the red right now. But again, we'll continue to monitor it for you throughout the day. And for those of you who are trading, we wish you luck today in whatever you buy or whatever you're able to sell. Buy low, buy, sell high. A new year means new financial goals like making sure that your savings are secure and diversified. So will this be the year that you finally listen to us here on Real America's Voice and talk to someone from the Birch Gold Group? Honestly, they are great people. We really appreciate their educational approach and their understanding of macroeconomics. There are forces pushing the US Dollar lower and gold higher, higher. And that's why they believe that every American should own physical gold until January 30th. If you're a first time gold buyer, the Birch Gold Group is offering a rebate of up to $10,000 on qualifying purchases. To claim eligibility and to start the process, simply text the word America to the number 9898. 98. The Birch Gold Group can help you roll an existing IRA or 401 into an IR IRA in gold and you're still eligible for a rebate of up to $10,000. Make right now your first time to buy gold and take advantage of a rebate of up to $10,000 when you buy by January 30th. It's as simple as texting the word America to the number 9898. 98 and claiming your eligibility today. Again, text America to the number 98. 98. 98. Still to come here on American Sunrise, as Minnesota's governor race is thrown into chaos. Senator Amy Klobuchar is reportedly eyeing a run and her record is back in the spotlight. That's next when American Sunrise returns.
Dr. Gina
All right. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us this morning. We invite you to hop in our conversation on Getter Rumble and YouTube where we are presently talking about old television shows on PBS like who Remembers Romper Room and Captain Kangaroo and all the rest of them. Anyway, it's always fun in that chat and there's always a sub conversation happening that we'd love you to put participate in. The political pulse of America is happening right now. And here's the beat today. Senator Amy Klobuchar may be eyeing a major move in Minnesota politics after Governor Tim Walz announced he will not seek reelection. Reports say Klobuchar is considering a run for governor shakeup that could quickly reshape the state's Democrat power structure. The New York Times reports Klobuchar had discussed the possibility directly with Walls. And a source suggests that a new potential plan could keep Waltz in public office if she wins. But as Klobuchar's name emerges, so do long standing questions about her record, including past controversies from her time as a county prosecutor, her fundraising practices also in question in her legislative alliances in Washington, D.C. now, as Minnesota Dems look for a path forward after Waltz's exit, attention is quickly turning to what a Klobuchar governor governorship would mean. All of that just sounds like, well, it's helped with my diet today, let's just put it that way. For more, let's bring in Minnesota congressional candidate challenging Ilhan Omar for her seat. Dalia Al Aqidi. Good morning. First, let's get your reaction. Tim Walls bowing out after he heap of scandals land on his head. Do you think things would be any different with Klobuchar in charge? What the Dems are doing in our state is trying to control the damage. Clearly Walls knew that he cannot win reelection and because of all the fraud and many cases are coming in light even though we've been Republicans had been screaming about fraud for years and years and nobody listened to us, especially the local media because honestly the local media is so pro Dems and therefore all these allegations were shoved, shoved aside. So we're glad that finally law and order is coming to our state. Finally everyone knows what's happening in our states. And let me be very clear, this is not something or this is not a case against a certain immigrant community. On contrary, however, numbers don't lie and I urge the Somali community leaders to step up and say, you know what, the numbers don't lie. We do have a problem in our community and we are planning to deal with it, but this is not the case. They're screaming all this victimhood accusations that the Republicans are anti immigrants, are Islamophobe and I think Minnesotans now know exactly what's happening in our state and I'm so glad that it happened even though it's a bit late.
David Brody
Yeah, yeah, it's a typical playbook for sure. Dalia, let's talk about Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as well. So he's not going to run for governor, but he spoke to reporters yesterday and they're saying, well, what about, how about you just resign? And this is what he said. I'm not going anywhere.
Terrence Bates
And you can make all your requests.
David Brody
For me to resign, over my dead.
Terrence Bates
Body will that happen.
David Brody
I will fight this thing till the very end to make this state better. And the question that I think they need to decide is, is when did the guy in the White House resign? Yeah, the guy in the White House is doing Make America Great Again. Tim Walls and Jacob Fry, the mayor of Minneapolis, are doing Make Somalia Great Again.
Dr. Gina
He wants to make himself relevant to everything. And not running for reelection or even resigning does not take the accountability away from him. We have the right, we taxpayers in Minnesota have the right to know who knew what, what happened and why nobody took action. And in this case, inaction has consequences as well.
Terrence Bates
Yeah. Dalia, the Trump administration, of course, is cracking down really hard now in response to the massive fraud revelations there in your home state. This is a national story. It has become one. We're also learning now that about 2,000 federal agents are deploying there in the Twin Cities. It is said to be the largest deployment of federal agents ever. All of this coming as President Trump has promised mass deportations in response to the widespread fraud scandals that are linked to the Somali community there. Give us a sense, if you will, of the atmosphere on the ground there and the response from the people. Forget, forget the politics, forget the governor saying all of this and trying to save face. What are the people there on the streets, the grassroots saying about all of this? And how are they responding to this deployment?
Dr. Gina
Let me say one thing. I voted for that. So many people voted for that. We want law and order in our street. And I'm so appalled by many who are against that. What is wrong with deporting criminals? What is wrong with deporting people that did not follow the law? This is like one plus one. People here are divided, of course, especially in my district. It's very blue, it's very Democratic. And it's run by the dsa, the Democratic Socialist of America, which is a tiny faction of the Democratic Party led by Ilhan Omar as well. People here are listening to the mainstream media. They're thinking that these are illegal operations. And, and, and, but at the end of the day, law is here, law is coming, and many of us have voted for that. But let me tell you one thing. We started and, and mark my words, it started with Tim Walls, and then it will go to Keith Ellison, and then it will end with Ilhan Omar because that's the way how it should be. By the way, if you, if you've heard the news about these, the recording between Keith and a group of the Somali community leaders, I have news for you. And nobody knows that one of them that we heard his voice in that recording came to Minneapolis Republican Party last winter and he asked for our support to run against Ilhan Omar.
Matt Schlapp
All right.
Dr. Gina
Well, Dalia Al Akiri, thank you so much for being with. Thanks for putting your hat in the ring there against Omar. Certainly needed. Thank you. Thank you. I did that. I did that in 2024, and I'm doing it again because we Minnesotans deserve much better.
David Brody

Dr. Gina
For more, let's bring in the CEO of Sacred Human Health, Trevor Comstock. Good morning, trevor.
Armin Kurdian
Good morning, Dr. Gina. How you doing?
Dr. Gina
I'm doing well. Happy New Year. We hear you have a new product out. Tell us.
Armin Kurdian
Yeah, definitely. And before I forget, real quick, I wanted to mention that we still are running our new Year sale all the way through the end of today for 15 off any products. So just make sure to use code 2026 at checkout again for 15 off any one time order. But to your point, yes, we did just launch a new product I'm super excited about and it's already been selling super fast, so obviously I'm happy about that as well. But it's called our Sacred Healing Salve and it is handmade in small batches with organic ingredients and there's no artificial ingredients or unnatural additives. So just a little background on it. What really makes the remedy so powerful is due to the organic comfrey which is the main ingredient. And comfrey has been used for centuries to support things like pain relief, inflammation, bruising, swelling as well as tissue repair. So essentially helps your body repair and recover instead of just masking the discomfort hurt. So in, in terms of use cases, a lot of people like to use it for things like sore muscles, joint pain, sprains, as I mentioned, swelling as well as arthritis support. So you basically it's just like a salve or a bomb. So you just rub a little bit under your fingers and then you put it onto any area of your body that might need support and it rubs in super easily. And then with that too, we also paired it with other skin supporting herbs and fats, fats that also suit things like cuts, scrapes, burns as well as insect, insect bites. Excuse me. So it's an incredibly powerful and versatile product and again, it's great for your muscles, your joints, bruises, itching, minor cuts and even eczema. So similar to our tallow, if you have like inflammation, whether it's on your face or any other area of your body, you can use it in that case as well. So a little bit goes a long way. And if you do want to compare to other like pain creams on the market that rely on petroleum and synthetic ingredients, ours is just like a very nice clean and organic alternative design to help healing not just from, from the outside in, but from the inside out. So it's does amazing things. As I mentioned and and gets a lot rid of a lot of temporary relief. So I definitely encourage people to check out that product. And if you have questions, which I know a lot of people do already, you can always shoot us a message.
Dr. Gina
All right. That's sacred human health.com and people can get 15% off with a promo code 2026. Trevor Comstock, thanks for joining us this morning.
Armin Kurdian
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Dr. Gina
Coming up, Democrats turning on themselves over Venezuela. Senator John Fetterman calls out his own party asking why a $25 million bounty was put on Nicholas Maduro if no one ever intended to act. That's next after the break. Stick around.
Terrence Bates
Let's spill some tea.
Emily Finn
Let's spill some tea. Fueled by Artillery Tea Company, the only America first veteran owned tea brand. And their mission, maximize flavor with whole leaf blends in chemical free tea bags. No junk, just real tea. And here's the tactical each bag brews twice. Just go to artilleryteaco.com and use the code RAV for 10% off your first order. Again, that's artilleryteaco.com premium tea, mission driven and brewed for the brave. It is time now to spill some tea. And in the cup today, Senator John Fetterman, who's calling out his own party over Venezuela and the removal of Nicolas Maduro. On Fox News Monday, the Pennsylvania Democrat pointed to a decision by the Biden administration earlier this year to raise the bounty on Maduro to $25 million, arguing it undercuts Democrats current criticism of how Maduro was taken out of power. Fetterman said Democrats have long described Maduro as a dictator and a tyrant and asked why the US Would put a multimillion dollar bounty on his head if it was never willing to act. Take a look at what Fetterman had to say.
David Brody
You know, for me, I think Democrats, we all used to describe him as a dictator or a tyrant or a terrible person. And it wasn't less than a year ago President Biden raised raised the bounty for $25 million less than a year ago.
Emily Finn
For more, let's bring In David Brody, Dr. Gina and Terence Bates. Terrence, your thoughts on all of this. It seems like Trump just acted on what the Democrats, you know, kind of started.
David Brody
Yeah.
Terrence Bates
And John Fetterman seems to be the Democrat with the most common sense. I'm sorry to bring this up, but the guy who had a stroke has the most common sense in the whole party. What does that say, David?
David Brody
Well, it says everything you want to know about the Democrat Party. There you go. No doubt about it. Well where do I begin? I'll just say this, that with Biden and the Democrats, it's all performance art. That's all it is. It's all performance art. With Trump, it's funny because they, his critics, Trump's critics always say that he's just acting. It's a performance. It's like he's on the Apprentice. No, no, he's actually doing the real deal. He's doing the hard work. So, Gina, that's a little bit of where I stand.
Dr. Gina
Well, to call it performance art, David Brody, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to take great exception to that as an art history minor and somebody who considers herself a part time artist to give them the word art. I don't know about that.
David Brody
Hey, I didn't say it was good art. That's just a bunch of crap up front. Bunch of crap thrown on the, on the wall.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. My question to all three. Yes, three of you. Sorry, I can't count. Is who gets the 25 million? Is that Trump?
Emily Finn
That's a good question. Yeah.
Dr. Gina
And I think Biden should have to pay it, by the way, too.
Emily Finn
Yeah, well, don't think we're gonna see that happen, Gina.
Dr. Gina
Okay, well, it was, you know, we can have our pipe dreams. If you can call what the Democrats do art, then I can call this. I can call this. Call this pipe dream to order while we're in fantasy land.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, yeah, David, take that with your art comment.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, David, no more calling it art.
Francis Newton
I don't know.
David Brody
I'll just stick to the art of the deal. I'll stick to the art of the deal.
Dr. Gina
There you go. That is art. Yes.
Emily Finn
We have a lot more real art coming up on American Sunrise. So stick with us. This segment you don't want to miss. When a school bus driver suffered a medical emergency, two Ohio siblings didn't panic. They told took action. Surveillance video shows the moment an 8 year old ran for help and her older brother called it in. That incredible story is next. Stay with us.
Dr. Gina
Fry those eggs. All right. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks so much for joining us today.
Terrence Bates
Can I just ask real quickly, Dr. Genius, since you brought up eggs, are you guys scrambled? Sunny side up, how do you guys like your eggs? I know it's like completely just out of blue, out of left field, but when I saw the eggs and you said, fry those eggs, I thought, I'm a scrambled guy. How do you like your eggs?
Dr. Gina
Well, Sunnyside, of course.
David Brody
Oh, well, I like omelets with lots of Cholesterol.
Dr. Gina
My husband likes omelets. I don't like omelets. I like my food pure. I like things alone. Like I like eggs alone, but I don't want a bunch of stuff in.
David Brody
Them, you know, like that does not surprise me. That does not surprise me at all. You are no nonsense. Just give me the freaking eggs. I don't give me any of the stuff on the side.
Dr. Gina
And I'm always trying to be healthy, so I don't really cook them. I kind of just brown them enough to not be completely raw so that I get the egg is, the yolk is raw, etc. And we better get to the story or we're going to have no sunnyside on us. All right, in the pan today, a remarkable story of quick thinking and courage from an Ohio school bus where two siblings stepped up in a moment of crisis and saved a life. Surveillance video shows a bus driver suffering a medical emergency while transporting students. When she struggled to breathe, an 8 year old girl noticed something was wrong and ran for help. Her seventh grade brother took over from there, using the bus radio to call the school while another student dialed 91 1. Here are those heroes speaking to local reporters in Ohio. We were on a hill like going downwards.
Francis Newton
So I like pulled the parking brake out.
David Brody
That's when I realized that something was going on. Oh my God, someone help me. Charlie, get up here now. So then I will was walking up there like kind of wondering what was going on. Hey, we need help.
Terrence Bates
We're on Folk Road bus 8. Bus drivers cannot breathe.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, pretty powerful. I had a weird situation like this the other day in an Uber, you guys. On my way back from the airport, I had a guy, he was a young guy, looked super healthy and started like weaving all over the road and then he would see, sit forward and he would sit back and I couldn't, he looked like he couldn't see. I still don't know what was going on. But yeah, a situation like that, it was very scary to be in the back seat and out of control when someone else is in that situation. So keep an eye on your drivers. You just don't ever know that's right.
David Brody
No for sure. You know, this story reminds me of something I tell my kids all the time back in the day, which is quite a while ago, which is always be ready for your close up. You know, just be ready because you never know. And I'm not talking about professionally because when I hear close up I think cue the camera. But I'm talking about, sorry, I'm talking about specifically in life, be ready. Some people shrink from the moment others arise to the occasion. You never know quite how you're going to react in that situation. But be ready for it.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. And obviously, kudos to the kids for jumping in, but one of the things that I noticed, the kids actually knew where they were. The kid, the one young man got on the radio and said, we're at this specific road in this day and age with phones, you know, kids are always on gps and they barely know kind of the streets that even border out, border their own neighborhood. So the fact that he knew the street and was able to communicate that, kudos to him, that's what really impressed me.
Dr. Gina
That is such a great point, Terrence. When you say be ready for your close up, I have to tell you, when I was in the car with that Uber driver, Terrence, I wouldn't have gotten known where in the world I was. Somewhere on the highway. Other than that, I. I really had no idea because I'm usually. Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
Terrence Bates
There's. There's a stop and go.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, pretty much. Pretty much. All right, you guys, thanks, everybody, for joining us. Thank you again, Tam Tam, in our chat.
David Brody
Oh, that's great.
Dr. Gina
I know. I just. I can't even. I'm so touched, and we all are, all the time, by all the great things our audience does. You guys, War Room is up next, so join War Room prayer right there and hug your children. Love God. You go boldly now. Live the truth. We'll see you tomorrow.
David Brody
Don't cry. Don't cry over this.
Dr. Gina
I didn't.
Terrence Bates
Yay.
David Brody
All right, good. No mascara. Mascara is fine.
Dr. Gina
This is an I heart podcast. Guaranteed human.
Podcast: Real America’s Voice
Hosts: Dr. Gina, David Brody, Terrence Bates
Featured Guests: Rep. Tom Tiffany, Armin Kurdian, Matt Schlapp, Bianca Rodriguez, Pastor Jackson Lahmire, Francis Newton, Dalia Al Aqidi
Episode Theme: Major policy developments under President Trump – Venezuela, abortion, election security, and shifting values in America.
This episode of American Sunrise offers a dynamic breakdown of the latest headlines, focusing on President Trump’s bold moves in foreign and domestic policy. The main story is Trump's announcement that the U.S. will receive up to 50 million barrels of Venezuelan oil, followed by discussions about election security, a renewed abortion debate within the GOP, crackdowns on immigration fraud, and a cultural shift among America’s youth toward faith. The tone is energetic, unapologetically populist, and deeply critical of the Biden administration and mainstream media narratives.
If you missed the live episode, this summary covers all crucial topics and the spirit of the debate. Hear how the hosts and guests tackle Trump’s bold claims and controversial policies, engage religious and cultural trends, and dissect economic strategy—all through a lens of populism, skepticism of government, and unapologetic advocacy for traditional American values.
