Dr. Gina
Good morning, everybody. I'm Dr. G. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David brody in Washington, D.C. and Terrence Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, gentlemen.
David Brody
Happy Friday, G. Happy Friday.
Dr. Gina
I still.
Terrence Bates
Happy Friday, you two.
Dr. Gina
My hair's going crazy this morning, Terrence. I'm gonna have to fix it right here in the monitor.
David Brody
I'm still missing.
Dr. Gina
I'm missing our Christmas tree here. I'm missing it. I'm just gonna say it. I'm missing it. I still have all six of my Christmas trees up at home. I know you guys were wondering. Yeah, I missed the Christmas season and it feels like the news Terrence has just descended on us like a. Oh, absolutely.
Terrence Bates
There's something to report every single day. But since you are missing your Christmas trees, Dr. Gina, why not focus on the reason for the season? Would you give us our Bible verse?
Dr. Gina
There you go. Let's do that. Romans 8:31. Then what? Then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? And now that's it. That's the whole. If God is for us, who can beat it? It's a strong and bold statement, Terrence. And you have some strong and bold news for us.
Terrence Bates
And bold. And that's really succinct. If God is for us, then who could be against us? All that matters is God. All right, folks, let's focus on Minnesota, where Governor Tim Walz has ordered the Minnesota National Guard to stage following protests over Wednesday's deadly ice shooting there in Minneapolis. Walz says the Guard will be ready to support law enforcement and help protect critical infrastructure if needed. State leaders are also urging peaceful protests as the investigation into that shooting continues. RAV correspondent and host of Breaking Point here on Real America's Voice, David Zier on the ground in Minneapolis this morning. He's joining us with the very latest. David, good morning to you, first of all. Second question to you is, do you get the feeling that Minneapolis is about to descend into chaos yet again?
David Zier
We don't know yet. It's really cold. Hopefully that'll keep some of that down. But last night we were on the ground on Portland Avenue between 33rd and 34th street where protesters were pretty active yesterday outside agitators. Different groups were there. They were sprayed with pepper spray and other and a lot of confrontations with conservative media on the ground. But they also made makeshift barriers out of like skids and wood skids. And they have all kinds of stuff. I saw even somebody put a Christmas tree on top of the barricade. But those barricades are to be removed today near where on the street on Portland Avenue where the shooting took place. And we were on the ground last night. It was peaceful because it was also raining and it was very cold. And it was more of the residents in the area and some young people from around Minneapolis here. And I was able to engage in dialogue, like I said earlier with them. And we had some good conversations. But today it'll probably get ramped up. More protests scheduled today. But Governor Tim Walt is asking for a moment of silence at 11am today here in Minneapolis. A lot going on the ground. And Scott Bessant on the ground here. We were with him in several locations yesterday where he was also addressing Somali fraud. This is a hotbed. So he's also here to discuss the economy and Trump's new, you know, permanent tax cuts and everything. But Minnesota, very expensive to do business, a lot of regulation. Then we got the ice shooting on top of it. And then we got the Somali fraud, really the epicenter in the country right now here in Minneapolis.
Terrence Bates
Right. And as it relates to that Somali fraud, the administration announcing a new attorney general that will focus on fraud nationally, which is also something probably an underreported story given what else has happened there in Minneapolis. David?
David Zier
Yeah, well, Breitbart the other day had an article about $700 million in cash in over 1 million plus dollar increments that went out of the Minneapolis airport to Somalia, neighboring countries in Africa and across the Middle East. So this scandal is very big here. And it could be, as Scott be said, when we were at the ballroom here in Minneapolis that this could be the biggest scandal in U.S. history. And as I said previously, he's the acting IRS commissioner as well as treasury. And there is a full blown investigation here going on into fraud involving Somalia. Now, Somalia citizens here, there's only 260,000 in the country. There's about 100,000 of them are here in the Minneapolis area, about 86,000, I think just in Minneapolis. It's only 1.7% of the population here in Minnesota and 0.1% of the nation's population. But again, this could be the largest scandal ever in US History in monetary terms.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. David Zier reporting live there in Minneapolis. David, stay safe throughout the day as it's going to be an interesting day for you. We'll be checking back with you throughout the day.
David Zier
Thank you, Terrence.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. Stay warm. All right, let's get you back over to Dr. Gina now. Dr. G. Good morning.
Dr. Gina
Thank you so much, Terrence. All right. For more on the situation in Minneapolis, let's bring in Texas Congressman Pete Sessions. Congressman, welcome back to the show. Has Congress been briefed on the situation and where do you think this ends up as we go into the weekend?
Congressman Pete Sessions
Gina, thank you very much. As you have previously heard, there was a lot going on in Minnesota on Wednesday. The Government Reform and Oversight Committee as a whole had a big hearing that was really very combustible attitude during the hearing. Of course, the shooting occurred which changed then the tone from one of fraud to one of a shooting. The ability that we have to understand what happened is still in the mix. It has not been completely revealed. All the information is not available. But members of Congress have their focus and attention on both these issues. And this is where we need to make sure that we are able and I was delighted to hear what Governor Walz said, that he will have his own Minnesota National Guard there to protect law enforcement and to make sure that the circum and as well as buildings. But to make sure that what happens is the process is calmed down a bit. That's what's got to happen. These people that are showing up, evidently the woman who was a part of the shooting are agitators. They are attempting to interfere in the law enforcement official law enforcement duties of the people who are there. Rightfully, they are there doing their job. So calmness is going to have to now prevail. We've now recognized a shooting that occurred that no one wished had happened. But we have to take stock of it and figure out, including members of Congress, what the procedures are going to be how they're going to handle things. But from my end, the conversations and the investigation, ICE has confirmed they followed their procedures.
David Brody
Yeah, and let's just also be clear that you're right, she was an anti ICE agitator. I mean, there is now fresh reporting out that she joined an anti ICE group at her son's six year old social justice school. Basically, it's a school that teaches social justice to kids as young as six years old. And she joined. So she wasn't cooking brownies at the pta. I mean, she was joining this. Congressmen Democrats have used, let's be honest, hateful language when describing the men and women of ice. And we prepared this montage. Have a look at this.
Jim Moseley
Donald Trump's modern day GEOPO is scooping folks up off the streets. They're in unmarked vans, wearing masks, being shipped off to foreign torture dungeons.
David Brody
No chance to mount a defense, not.
Jim Moseley
Even a chance to kiss a loved one goodbye. Just grabbed up by mass agents, shoved into those vans and disappeared.
David Brody
When I see ice, I see slave.
Tracy Anthony
Patrols, ICE agents without visible ideas, without.
David Brody
Any official markings on them with masks.
Tracy Anthony
They're acting more like vigilantes than of agents of our government. How can we even trust that these are government officials? It's nothing more than kidnapping.
Congressman Pete Sessions
We don't live in a country, an.
Terrence Bates
Authoritarian country, where we have secret police who are masked, who are intimidating, who are scaring people. That's the stuff of authoritarian states.
Tracy Anthony
What is deranged and cruel and outrageous is that literally we are seeing ICE agents.
David Brody
I assume they're ICE agents. They say they are.
Tracy Anthony
They don't have any identification, they're wearing masks, they're in plain clothes. They are coming and kidnapping and disappearing people on the streets of the United States.
David Brody
You shouldn't have to walk around with papers the way that they did in.
Terrence Bates
In the early days of Nazi Germany to prove that you belong and that you're not one of them.
Jim Moseley
We are going to fight it legislatively.
Congressman Pete Sessions
We are going to fight it in.
David Zier
The courts.
Terrence Bates
And we're going to fight.
Congressman Pete Sessions
It in the streets.
David Brody
Democrats complicit in this.
Congressman Pete Sessions
Well, in fact, the conversations that you've heard go from Trump deranged syndrome to against law enforcement. And it is sad. And this is where I hope that the conversations that we have had here in Congress at Government Reform Committee, Republicans and Democrats to come to some agreement about the effort that is being taken place. Once again, the fraud is $9 billion. I don't think, I don't think many Democrats even dispute that. The question is how we fix that. And then when you look at that 9 billion and add in the operations that are going on with ICE because of these circumstances, of people who have come here illegally who have overstayed, perhaps their vis has perhaps overstayed or been ordered by the court for removal. Federal law enforcement has its job. President Obama removed millions of people. Millions of people have been removed in the past. And just because you don't like Donald Trump is not a reason to turn against federal law enforcement or the court system which is attempting to adjudicate these properly.
Terrence Bates
Congressman, as I'm listening to you, I'm curious to get your take on this. We're nine days into this new year and I'm not gonna lie, I'm worn out already. It's been a flurry of activity across the country. But in your estimation, what is the most urgent issue before the country, before you and your colleagues at this very moment?
Congressman Pete Sessions
Well, certainly without any question, every member would suggest to you that funding the government moving forward is our number one goal, Republican and Democrat. And it's unclear right now where those lines will fall. We went through a 46, 45 day shutdown. It was not good for the country. I don't think it was good necessarily for my colleagues who are Democrats. I think that it certainly is not something that we enjoyed as Republicans. We have to find the common denominator. That means House Republicans, Democrats, Senate Republicans and Democrats. But it's still going to take 60 votes in the Senate. We might well pass this in the House and come to some agreement, even though there will be many who will be opposed. We have to fund the government moving forward. We have to fund the government for the year of 2026. And that is our number one goal is health care.
Terrence Bates
And Obama subsidies still the Achilles heel, even given the passage yesterday on the Obama subsidies issue in the House.
Congressman Pete Sessions
Well, I think that certainly Jim McGovern had his viewpoints. He tried to pass it. We're still a constitutional body and that is, you have to be able to pass things with a majority vote and it did not pass. And so now we're, now we're in that same constitutional bind. We gotta get 60 votes in the Senate. So we're, it's pushing, it's pushing the Senate and the House to come up with that language. I think that the bills which I fully support and we understand of moving beyond the subsidies and going to fixing healthcare is the answer. And I've let our, certainly our leadership know where I am.
Dr. Gina
Congressman, we're out of time. I think for maga. I just have to say I'm so sad that we've gone from balancing the budget, eliminating debt to funding the government being the goal of our Republican Party. But we appreciate you being on today. Congressman Sessions, thank you so much. Coming up, check out the head. The hottest. There we go. Headlines from the RAV newsroom. The T. Bates, Stay where you are.

It's been a busy and dangerous week for immigration agents, as Wednesday's deadly shooting in Minneapolis was followed up by a double shooting in Portland on Thursday. Once again, a car was involved and agents say the driver tried to run them over while speeding away when they approached that car. The Department of Homeland Security says the passenger was an illegal alien from Venezuela who's affiliated with the Transitional Trend, a transnational, excuse me, trend ring. While the duo initially got away from the ICE agents, local police ended up tracking them down in a nearby neighborhood. It's the latest black eye for Portland, which has had a contentious relationship with National Guards as well as now federal agents who are deployed to that city under President Trump's immigration and law enforcement crackdown. Portland's mayor and the City council are calling on ICE to end all operations in the city until a full investigation is completed. At this point, it looks like the Portland Police Department will head up that investigation into the shooting. Meantime, it appears the FBI is now exclusively investigating Wednesday's deadly shooting in Minneapolis. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension claims that it had been conducting a joint investigation with the bureau, but the FBI, quote, reversed course and is no longer granting the BCA access to case materials, scene evidence or investigative interviews. Local authorities say not having access to all of the evidence will make it difficult to complete a thorough and an independent investigation. Thursday, Vice President J.D. vance blasted the media for its coverage of that shooting, though specifically the implication that the ICE agent who pulled the trigger wasn't justified in doing so. This was an attack on federal law enforcement. This was an attack on law and order. This was an attack on the American people, the way that the media by.
David Brody
And large has reported this story has.
Terrence Bates
Been an absolute disgrace and it puts.
David Brody
Our law enforcement on officers at risk every single day.
Terrence Bates
And we now know that the ICE officer involved in this shooting was part of a specialized unit called the Enforcement and Removal Operations Special Response Team. It's a specially trained tactical group within ice. That's a quick check of your headlines. We'll have more headlines coming your way shortly. But now let's get a quick check of your forecast with Weather Nation's Tracy with Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony. You also see the QR code there at the bottom of your screen. Join or scan that. Excuse me, Tracy. And join our friends over at Weather Nation. I'm tripping over my words because there's some severe weather working its way through Mississippi right now.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah, definitely, Terrence. We've been tracking a handful of tornado warnings so far along this frontal boundary that's working across Mississippi. And we do still have a warning that is expected to be in effect through the bottom of the hour. But the National Weather Service even saying this rotation has kind of been cycling. So we will see if that will be extended. But notice typically those polygons are just a solid red, but we do have it flashing pink, which does mean that this tornado warned cell was confirmed and observed. So this will remain in Place until 7:30 local time. That's going to be kind of the area that we watch. And we've got this low pressure center that's working across the Great Lakes. And the cold front associated with it is what's going to be sparking that severe weather threat not just today, but also into tomorrow. Terrence.
Terrence Bates
All right, Tracy reporting this morning, giving us the skinny on some of the extreme weather that's coming across the nation. We'll check in with you next hour, though, to get our forecast, our hometown forecast. Looking forward to that as always. And for those of you who'd like a hometown forecast, go to our various social media platforms, Gutter Rumble, YouTube, let us know where you're hanging out. And who knows, maybe you'll be one of the lucky viewers to get a hometown forever forecast from Tracy. Up next, though, President Trump's next moves in Venezuela. The commander in chief says the US could be in control of Venezuela for years to come. We'll take a deeper dive into that notion. All of that's coming up.
David Brody
That was a heck of a game. There's Miami, by the way, the reason I'm saying it's a heck of a game. Miami going to the national championship game. They beat Ole Miss. What a game. Last night, I'd say I watched it.
Terrence Bates
Live, but womp, womp, I'm old.
David Brody
I fell asleep. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. All right, I'm David Brody. President Trump says only time will tell when it comes to exactly how long the United States will be calling the shots in Venezuela. Now, the President spoke to four New York Times reporters. Oh, that sounds delightful. For two hours in the Oval Office. And their headline, by the way, look at that, it reads as follows. Trump says US Oversight of Venezuela could last for years. When it comes to the oil, Trump told them the US Will rebuild it in a very profitable way and work with Venezuela's leadership. The Trump administration officials, by the way, are set to meet with oil executives today at the White House regarding the Venezuelan oil situation. All right, for more, let's bring in the founder of Defense of Democracies. That would be our good friend Cliff May. Cliff, thanks for being here. So look, the whole transcript of that interview with the New York Times is gonna be published later today. But when asked about what it would take to put troops on the ground in Venezuela, the President said, quote, I wouldn't want to tell you that. Now, Cliff, I'm curious to see what your assessment is of that aspect and how long we could be in Venezuela calling the shots. Because look, the President said in this interview that he believes it will definitely be longer than six months, definitely even longer than a year.
Congressman Pete Sessions
So.
David Brody
Yikes.
Terrence Bates
Good morning.
Congressman Pete Sessions
Yeah, yeah, look, there's a lot we can only speculate on. The keyword in the headline you just showed from the New York Times, I thought was oversight of Venezuela. Oversight. Because who has been providing oversight of Venezuela over recent years? I'll tell you who. The Cubans, the Iranians, the Russians and the Chinese, that's who's been doing it. When the Delta Force operators landed on their in their helicopters at the fortified residents of Maduro, who was guarding him? There were Cuban bodyguards. Reportedly more than 30 were killed in a very brief, very one sided battle. The President is not allow going to allow these adversaries of America, Beijing, Moscow, Tehran to run Venezuela or the rest of Latin America, which has been their clear ambition for a long time. And it has been succeeding for a long time.
Dr. Gina
Time, Cliff. As Iranian unrest continues, President Trump warns the Iranian regime will not warns them whether not to kill protesters or they will face consequence, consequences.
David Brody
Listen, what they've done is they start in the past, they've started shooting the hell out of people and all of a sudden people without any weapons whatsoever are standing there and you have machine.
Terrence Bates
Guns gunning them down or they grab.
David Brody
Take them to prisons and then hang.
Terrence Bates
Them and kill them.
Congressman Pete Sessions
So they played rough. And I said, if they do that.
Terrence Bates
We'Re going to hit them very hard.
David Brody
We're going to hit them hard.
Congressman Pete Sessions
We're ready to do it.
Terrence Bates
If they do that, we're going to hit them hard.
David Brody
And so far, for the most part, there's been some of it, but for the most part they haven't.
Terrence Bates
There have been people killed.
David Brody
Some of them. The crowds are so big that some of them have had really like were stomped on.
Terrence Bates
Literally.
Congressman Pete Sessions
It was terrible.
David Brody
The crowds are just, they're massive.
Terrence Bates
The enthusiasm to overturn that regime is incredible.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. What will this mean on the international scale? I mean, are we really looking at an Iranian regime fall and if so, what would that mean?
Congressman Pete Sessions
I'd love to see an Iranian regime fall. I think that the regime is very likely and in fact, the reports I'm seeing has begun to kill in larger and larger numbers, 30, 40 protesters. Not just, you know, hit by a stampede, but actually killed. The president is warning the regime against that. What does he mean? We don't know exactly, but there are quite a few things that the US could do and that the Israelis could do in concert with the U.S. the 12 day war was 12 days because President Trump, after bombing Fordo and other Iranian nuclear facilities said, that's enough, let's stop. Let's see if these guys are reasonable. They're not. But the Israelis would have liked to go on and continue to hit, particularly ballistic missile facilities that still exist and that are being rebuilt right now with Chinese help and other things you could, you could do, you could decapitate this regime. I'm guessing that the Israelis, maybe the Americans have very good intelligence on where the remaining leaders of this regime are. The difficulty right now, there's no question that the people of Iran want are just sick of the Islamist rulers that, that have oppressed them and impoverished them over so many years. But at a certain point, for to succeed, I think that the opposition needs guns. They need the irgc, the elite forces, the military and less elite forces, the Basij, kind of the brown shirts, to say, I'm not killing my brothers. In fact, I'm going to go over and with my brothers and I'm going to help them overthrow this terrible regime. If the regime has a monopoly on violence and the will to utilize it against its own people, it has a good chance to stay in power. Unless President Trump good to his word says we're going to do something about it.
Terrence Bates
And Cliff, just want to mention you've got such a unique perspective on the situation in Iran, having worked there in the late 70s as a reporter. So you really do kind of still know the ins and outs of that situation. Want to move on really quickly because President Trump plans to meet with Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Machado next week. Here's some of what he had to say about that upcoming meeting.
David Brody
Well, I understand she's coming in next week sometime, and I look forward to saying hello to her. And I've heard that she wants to do that, that to be a great honor. I did put out eight wars, eight and a quarter, because, you know, Thailand and Cambodia started going at it again. I'll put the list. I give a quarter.
David Zier
So it's.
David Brody
You put the list out.
Congressman Pete Sessions
It's a hell of a list.
David Brody
But we. I've stopped eight wars.
Terrence Bates
Now. The great honor he's referring to is that Machado has said, or reportedly said, that she's willing to share her Nobel Prize with the President. I think most reasonable people would agree that he's earned it.
Congressman Pete Sessions
Yeah, look, I think she's an amazing woman. Her popularity is enormous in the country. By the way, that's one thing that the Venezuelans have going for them. The Iranians, they're a little. The leadership of the opposition is not as clear, although Reza Pahlavi, the son of the last shah, is quite popular. But I would say there's some splits. A transition can be difficult for the same reason we just talked about. At a certain point, she needs guns behind her. Is there a possibility that there are generals or colonels in the military talking to Marco Rubio or talking to the CIA about doing that? It's possible. We don't actually know right now. I think the president is focused on getting the regime. Don't forget, we don't have regime change in Venezuela. We have the decapitation of the dictator. We have Maduro in a jail cell in New York City, a city, by the way, with a socialist mayor, which may give him some collectivist warmth while he's sitting there. You have the vice president in charge. Right. You have Delsey Rodriguez, and she's a bad character, but she may be willing to appease the president or willing to go along on the various things he wants. Mostly things he wants to stop. He wants no more subsidized oil going to Cuba, and that's been holding up a very rickety economy. He wants no more drug trafficking out of there. The government's been involved in drug trafficking.
David Zier
Right.
Congressman Pete Sessions
And he wants Americans, enemies and adversaries no longer calling the shots there. And I can give you about five or six other things that the president is going to insist upon.
David Brody
Well, next time we'll do that. We're going to run now, but Cliff may have a great weekend. Thanks so much.
Congressman Pete Sessions
Thanks, David. Thanks, guys.
David Brody
All right. Coming up, can popular GLP1 weight loss drugs prevent colon cancer? There's some new research saying that actually that could be the case. Details when we come back.
Dr. Gina
Well, it's kind of a gloomy little morning there on Times Square as we go into the weekend this Freedom Friday. I hope it's pretty where you are. Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Dr. Gina. Headed to Dallas for a big J6 event there. And the weather looks kind of nice. I'm not gonna lie. I'm sort of excited about it. Thank you. A little cold, but I like that because I live in the heat. So anyway, thank you for joining us. Time now for today's health news sponsored by the wellness company under the Microsoft Today, these GLP1 drugs, I'm telling you guys all the warnings, all the things. It just continues to get more interesting.
Tracy Anthony
Now.
Dr. Gina
A new study suggests that they may lower the risk of colon cancer. This new study says popular GLP1 medication such as Ozempic and Wegovy may help lower the risk of said cancer. Researchers found people taking these drugs have a significantly lower rate of colon cancer along with some other cancers as well. This is compared to those taking aspirin. The possible benefit was strongest among people with a family or personal history of the disease. Experts say GLP1 drugs also showed fewer side effects. But Warren, the findings are preliminary and more studies are needed before final conclusions are made. Like any other study. But I think when it gets right down to it, if you can lose the weight and get yourself off of that awful glucose cycle that so many have been on that are diabetic for so long that become diabetic rather, I think it just is solving a whole plethora of health issues. A new year means new year resolutions. And if you are looking to lose weight, get in better shape and have more energy than ever, drop is a great strategy. It is not a gimmick. It's not a crash diet or a quick fix. It's a daily prescription, free flavorless liquid peptide. It supports weight management by targeting GLP1, GIP and other metabolic pathways. It works with your body, not against it. That's important. The core ingredient is A breakthrough peptide that has been studied for its ability to regulate appetite, improve metabolism and help the body use energy more efficiently. Combined with MCT oil and mineral rich Irish Sea Moss, Drop becomes a powerful tool to curb cravings while gently raising your energy. Drop is an investment in you and your health. You can go use promo code RAV100. That saves $100 on drop right off the top. You hear that? It rhymes. Go. Go to TWC Health Rav. Make 2026 your best year ever. Use code RAV100. David. David.
David Brody
I love when words rhyme. I don't know.
Dr. Gina
Have you tried any of these new peptides for anything? They're amazing.
David Brody
No, no. But let me just say I think I'm about to.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
Congressman Pete Sessions
Are you?
David Brody
I think I'm about to.
Dr. Gina
They are amazing. There's so many different ones, different uses. I know. You know, my kids are using them for studying. You know, my friends are using them for weight loss, youth enhancement, all the things. It'll be interesting to see what this next decade unfurls. And I dare say a lot of this came from the Maha agenda that has freed up some of these things that don't cost a considerable amount of money in certain cases.
David Brody
All right, well, to be continued. Now, we're going to go to Venezuela. We're not really going to Venezuela, but we're going to talk about it and its oil. Some in Congress are pushing back on the Trump administration's plan and to control the oil sales and revenue. Lawmakers from both parties say they want a greater role in oversight of how proceeds from the sale of those 30 to 50 million barrels of vanilla Venezuelan crude will be managed. Democrat Senator Chris Murphy called the plan insane. Yeah. North Dakota Senator John Hovind, a Republican, saying Congress must have an oversight role in the process. All right, well, to discuss it more, let's bring in New York Congresswoman Claudia Tenney back with us on the show. Congresswoman, thanks for being here. So Democrat Chris Murray Murphy, by the way, we should point out he always loves the camera, by the way he says that the White House is proposing to steal Venezuela's oil at gunpoint, is what he said forever. And use that leverage to run the country. Your take. Good morning. It's just more hyperbole coming out of Chris Murphy. It's actually the opposite of what the president's gonna do. He's actually gonna use this vast resources of crude oil that Venezuela has and use it to the benefit of the Venezuelan people. That means we're going to control the sale. We're going to make sure it's fair, we're going to make sure it's transparent. And the Venezuelan people actually get the money from it, which right now they're being harvested by China, Russia, Iran, everybody is in on. Our enemies are all taking advantage of this crude. We're going to make sure the Venezuelan people get that crude oil. We're going to help them refine it, we're going to help them distribute it and bring the profits back to Venezuela and have a friendly regime, hopefully, or a friendly government, a democratically elected government in place there. So this is all part of the plan. And they're just. The Democrats have been screaming about taking on Maduro to the point of, you know, President Biden had a $15 million bounty, then a $25 million bounty, and then we got a $50 million bounty. Well, you know, President Trump brought Maduro and his wife to justice. So now we have an opportunity for elections and to elect someone who will be, hopefully, a friendly ally to the United States. Really important in the Western Hemisphere.
Dr. Gina
Congresswoman, I am perturbed by the fact that when we talk to congresspeople today, Republican congresspeople, the number one thing they say is we need to fund the government. I remember the good old days when Republicans talked about things like debt reduction, debt elimination, balancing the budget, eliminating the Fed. Do you ever hear that from your colleagues? Is there any hope for us to rekindle some of that instead of constantly talking about funding the government that is bloated and needs to be doged to death?
David Brody
Look, I think you're using semantics. When we talk about fund, we mean we've got funding. We mean we've got to get our appropriations priorities done and not the Democrats. For the first time in history, we actually have cuts from the one big, beautiful bill. We're reducing spending in the, in these new appropriations, and we control the appropriations only by a very narrow margin as Republicans. So that's what they're talking about. They're not talking about spending. They're talking about making sure the Democrats don't take over the funding of the government and that we do. And we have cuts. There's been, it's, it's. I'm actually pretty pleased with a lot of the cuts. It's not 100% on what I want, but you know, what one member in Congress said the other day, you know, we would like it to be perfect. I know as a conservative, I'd like to see even more, and we'll continue to do that, but we have a very narrow margin. We've got to keep it. Otherwise you're going to see more fraud, abuse and ways. You're going to see more Minnesota. New York's going to look even worse. So what we've got to do is make sure we control the spending and the spending bills that come to the floor so we can stop it. I think that you're getting caught up in spending versus funding and if we don't have a government funded, you're going to continue on Biden level continuing resolutions, bloated spending, spending that we are looking at that is coming from COVID where they didn't make any cuts. The cuts we have are actually cuts even before COVID So this is going to be important that we actually control that. The primary obligation of the House of Representatives and Congress is to make sure that we pass appropriations on regular order. We're trying to do that. And then in the process we've done with the one big beautiful bill with reconciliation, we're going to go back at making sure we're cutting and implementing many of those cuts you saw through Doge and through rescissions.
Tracy Anthony
All right.
Dr. Gina
Well, Congresswoman Tenney, we thank you and we thank you for that clarification. And just keep on Dojin's. That's all I want to say. Just keep on doging. Thank you.
David Brody
I hope they bring Doge to New York. I've asked for that.
Dr. Gina
Yes, that would be fantastic, too. Thank you so much for being with us.
David Brody
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Dr. Gina
All right. Coming up, Jimmy Kimmel at it again. He says President Trump is using ice agents to kill Americans. Oh, wow. Oh, they never want to talk about the truth though, do they? What consequences could you face? We're going to break it down next on American Sunrise.
Tracy Anthony

Head to 1775 Coffee.com Rav and try rejuvenate pods today. Don't just drink coffee, rejuvenate. All right, now that we are caffeinated, it's time to stay awake, not woke. And today we are discussing online media. Major news apps including Google News, msn, Yahoo and AOL are accused of hiding positive coverage of President Trump's recent actions in Venezuela. Media watchdog newsbuster says these platforms promoted left leaning narratives while downplaying stories favorable to Trump. The report raises new concerns about bias and story selection in digital news apps used by millions of Americans. For more, let's bring in the host of Media Exposed, which you can see here on RAV on weekends. Adam Weiss. Adam, what do you make of all of this? Any surprises here?
Congressman Pete Sessions
Not really. And Trump and the Trump administration, administration been so welcoming to the big tech CEOs ever since he got welcome in the White House, welcome to join his administration. But it's the, you know, the generation of people that the editors, the people that run the app, the people that, you know, have to go through the news, who program the AI their mindset is biased. They went to universe is so biased and they can't see the way. America used to be a glorious place for freedom, a glorious place where we defend democracy. There's so many things wrong in Venezuela that we needed to, you know, take out Maduro. The oil was a disaster. You know, the people he, he stole an election. You know, we have the hemisphere, we have Russia and China meddling in there. And we're not, oh, and we're not really, we're not going to be, you know, taking our troops into battle over there. We're not going to be staying into Venezuela like other countries we've done in the past.
Tracy Anthony
Right, right. And what happened to just the truth? What happened to just reporting the facts on especially a topic like this that is so critically important. We've gotten so far away from that.
Congressman Pete Sessions
I was there in May of one of 2011 at the White House correspondence dinner, which is like the nerve prom for all the political people, the reporters. But it's a fun event for the weekend. And Obama spoke and the next that, that in the middle of the night, they captured Osama bin Laden that night. So everybody celebrated him. What a great, you know, you know, historic capture. It was left, right, Senate, the media, same thing.
Tracy Anthony
An achievement for America keeping all of America safe. Now, Adam, one person that certainly wasn't celebrating President Trump keeping America safe was late night host Jimmy Kimmel. I want to get you your take on this. He said on his show that President Trump is using ice to kill Americans. Take a look at this.
Terrence Bates
Maybe they're trying, I know what they're doing. They're trying out a new slogan. Donald J. Trump is going to kill.
David Brody
You.
Jim Moseley
Pretty good, right?
Terrence Bates
This maniac, he isn't just killing people overseas. An ICE agent today shot and killed, killed an unarmed 37 year old woman during an ICE operation in Minneapolis. They were there, there under the guise of protecting us. And of course our President weighed in with compassion. He wrote.
Congressman Pete Sessions
I've just viewed the clip of the.
Terrence Bates
Event which took place in Minneapolis. It is a horrible thing to watch. The woman screaming was obviously a professional agitator. And the woman driving the car, this is the woman who was killed, was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting. Who then violently, willfully and viciously ran over the ICE officer who seems to have shot her in self defense. Now I saw this video. It didn't look like anybody got run over to me. It looked to me like a woman got scared and tried to drive away.
David Brody
And they shot her.
Congressman Pete Sessions
That'll be for the court to decide.
Tracy Anthony
So problematic. I mean who makes a T shirt like that? How can ABC defend this?
Congressman Pete Sessions
You know, it's the rhetoric that's coming out of. Jimmy Comey should be ashamed of himself because we've had so much violence from Charlie Kirk to the President trying to be assassinated to multiple people and to inflame that to his millions of viewers should not be, have, should not have a platform like that. Because we're teaching people, you know, 20 years ago, 25 years ago, Emily, it was a simple. Whether you were left, right, center, your parents taught you just have respect towards law enforcement. If they're in front of you, just don't say anything, just keep quiet. We don't even teach that anymore. We teach people to go in their face, spit in their face, drive a car in front of them. And that's where it starts and that's where it all, that's how this happens. Because we don't have the values we used to. And, and, and people like Jimmy Kimmel and the media keep it going by lying in their headlines the, the next night, the same day. All the headlines are false. It's all lies. They don't, they don't. They screw it one way. So this, they want to inflame the, you know, flame what's happening. And they, the Minnesota leaders, they are the worst too. Between the mayor and the governor inflaming the situation, they all should be ashamed themselves.
Tracy Anthony
They should.
Congressman Pete Sessions
It's not healthy for America, it's not healthy for our democracy.
Tracy Anthony
There are certainly ripple effects. Adam Weiss, thank you so much for your time. Always a pleasure speaking with you.
David Brody
Thank you, Emily.
Congressman Pete Sessions
Have a good weekend.
Tracy Anthony
You too. Coming up, what does glory mean when it comes to the Bible? The Bible history guy, Jim Moseley breaks that and so much more down for us next on American Sunrise.
David Brody
God bless the usa.
Congressman Pete Sessions
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
David Brody
Did you hear that, Democrats? In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. All right, anyhow, welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm David Brody. Time now for a moment of faith brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible in focus today. Biblical words, you know, we use them all the time. Words we say, we sing them, we pray them. But do we really know what they meant to the biblical authors at the time? Well, here to help us unpack that is our Bible history guy. That would be Jim Mosley. I've heard of Jim Moseley. Let's bring him on screen, shall we? Jim, good to have you, sir. So what say you about these biblical words? Good morning to you, sir.
Jim Moseley
Good morning.
David Brody
Well, you know, when we say the word glory, a lot of us picture glitter or heavily brilliance, but that's not entirely what the biblical authors meant. So in Hebrew, the word is kavod. In Greek, it's doxa. The word we get doctrine from, well, its root meaning is pretty simple.
Terrence Bates
It means weight.
David Brody
Glory in the Bible is gravitas. It's worth, substance. So picture a balance scale.
Terrence Bates
You put gold in one pan, put.
Congressman Pete Sessions
God in the other. Well, the gold has real value.
David Brody
But when God's placed on the scale, his value is infinite. So his side of the scale plunges.
Terrence Bates
Down without limit because his worth is beyond measure.
David Brody
And here's the idea.
Congressman Pete Sessions
When we give God glory, we're not.
David Brody
Giving him something he doesn't have. We're recognizing what he already has, limitless worth. So when Scripture says God is glorious, it simply means God is worthy.
Congressman Pete Sessions
When we have good doxa glory, we have good doctrine.
David Brody
We appreciate something for its true value. Now, if we follow the logic of that word, glory means weight or worth. So anything that merely appears impressive but lacks true value is lightweight. So even Satan, in a kind of a weird way, could be said to have glory, but his glory is infinitely lightweight. Put gold in one pan, Satan in.
Congressman Pete Sessions
The other, his side goes down, like.
Terrence Bates
So it's up, excuse me, like a feather.
David Brody
Because he's all appearance, no substance, no weight. He's worthless. And that brings us to us. When the Bible says we will be glorified, it doesn't mean we become radiant or famous or admired. It means we become the most substantial, the most worthy, the most fully realized version of who God intended us to be. So a glorified body is a body finally made worthy of the immortal soul that will inhabit it in heaven, a body of eternal youth untouched by the curse of mankind's fall. So biblical glory isn't about shining, it's about mattering. And the closest thing, the closer we get to God, the more worthy we.
Terrence Bates
Are, the more gravity we have.
David Brody
Jim Mosley, you are a treasure to the show. I can confirm that your segments will never appear on cnn, but I thank you so much for being here, sir. My pleasure. Thank you. All right. Great stuff. Back with the second hour of American Sunrise in two minutes. Stick around, everybody.
Dr. Gina
Coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise this Freedom Friday, Minneapolis is on edge. Demonstrators took this to the streets yesterday following the shooting of a woman by a federal ICE agent. State and local officials in Minnesota pushing for federal agents to withdraw draw from the Twin Cities. We're going to bring you the latest in just a moment. Plus, President Trump says the United States may continue administering Venezuela for more than a year following the ousting of socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro. We're going to talk about the president's plan for that country later on in the hour. Also later, Senate Democrats are introducing legislation to block payments to to individuals convicted and pardoned for their involvement in the events of J6 five years ago. We're going to break all of that down for you. These stories, so much more. Second hour of American Sunrise starts right now.
David Brody
Good morning, America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Tracy Anthony
And I'm Dr. Gina.
David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G in West Palm. T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning to both of you. No time for chit chat. Busy, busy. Gotta get the headlines, Dr. G. Do we not?
Dr. Gina
Yeah, yeah. Let's go.
David Brody
T. Let's go.
Terrence Bates
Yes, ma'. Am. Yes, ma'.
Jim Moseley
Am.
Terrence Bates
All right, here we go. Two people shot by ICE agents in Portland, Oregon, and they are now recovering. This morning we're hearing Thursday's shooting was the second ICE involved shooting in as many days. Agents say the driver drove away from them as they approached the car. So they fired. The Department of Homeland Security says the passenger in that car was an illegal alien from Venezuela who's affiliated with the transnational Trend prostitution ring. Local police eventually tracked the duo down in a car in a nearby neighborhood. Meantime, it appears the FBI is now exclusively investigating Wednesday's deadly ice involved shooting, shooting in Minneapolis. The Minneapolis or Minnesota, excuse me, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension claims that it had been conducting a joint investigation with the bureau. But the FBI, quote, reversed course and is no longer granting the BCA access to case materials, scene evidence or investigative interviews. Local authorities say not having access to all of the evidence will make it difficult to complete a thorough and independent investigation. Investigation and a medical issue on board the International Space Station is forcing NASA to cut the current mission there short. The U.S. japanese and Russian foursome is expected to return to Earth in the coming days. At this point, NASA isn't identifying the affected astronaut and there's no word what the medical issue is. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast with Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony. Tracy, time for our hometown forecast. Good morning.
Tracy Anthony
Hey, good morning. Yeah, we've got a couple of them today. I'm going to take you out to South Bend, Indiana, where they are in for a big cool down. Temperatures today getting up to close to 60 degrees, but a cold front's working through. So it's very windy. They're under wind advisories and they're going to be plummeting. Daytime highs tomorrow going to be in the 30s. So very chilly there. And then we're taking out to Hutchinson, Kansas. So this is where they're going to get some snow. Now we're not expecting much to accumulate because our daytime highs are in the 40s or low 40s, but nonetheless, still could have some snow or some freezing rain out there. So, Terrence, that's the same system that brought Denver snow. And I meant to ask you, how was your morning commute and how much snow did you pick up at your house?
Terrence Bates
Maybe an inch, inch and a half. Morning commute wasn't terrible. It was a little slick getting out of the neighborhoods, but they've cleared all of the main roads, so I was able to get in with very little headache. So, yeah, it wasn't too bad. I'm still not happy, but it wasn't too bad.
Congressman Pete Sessions
Yeah.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah. No, I think they're already at like 7 inches. So they've got a lot.
David Zier
What? Yeah.
Terrence Bates
Glad I don't live in Colorado Springs this morning. All right, Tracy, we'll talk to you tomorrow. All right, folks, let's get you over to David Brody now. David, good morning.
David Brody
Good morning. I lived in Colorado Springs for 10 years. No, thank you on that. All right, thanks, T. Bates. Tensions remain high in Minneapolis today after the fatal shooting of a woman during the Trump administration's latest ICE crackdown. Protesters filled the streets. Schools have been shut down. Governor Tim Walz and other local leaders are calling for federal authorities to withdraw. But Vice President J.D. vance says the media is misrepresenting the entire incident and he was not happy. Take a look.
Terrence Bates
If the media wants to tell the truth, they ought to tell the truth. That a group of left wing radicals have been working tirelessly, sometimes using domestic terror techniques to try to make it impossible for the President of the United States to do what the American people elected him to do, which is enforce our immigration laws.
David Brody
And then he dropped the mic and said, yo, take that.
Congressman Pete Sessions
All right.
David Brody
Joining us now with reaction is the host of Breaking Point here on rav, David Zier, he's joining us from Minneapolis this morning. David, good morning to you. Tell us the reaction there on the ground. Look, my understanding, I shouldn't say my understanding. The New York Post is reporting specifically that this woman joined an anti ICE group at her son's school. It's a woke social justice school. Her son is 6 years old and that's how she got involved. Well, so much for joining the PTA and having bingo raffles. Instead she's doing this.
David Zier
Yeah, there's no doubt that this is what's going on here. Minneapolis school districts canceling classes Friday here in the Minneapolis area due to what they say are high levels of ICE activity. You know, there was an incident the other day where somebody was fleeing a U.S. citizen, had an altercation with ICE, led him on a five mile chase and it wound up near an elementary school. And everybody went into a panic there. And that's what they're doing here. But these things are highly coordinated. 100 students in an elementary school walked out yesterday in protest of ice. And they're making these kids, they're like fear mongering these kids. It's so nuts. But we've been on the ground here in Minneapolis and we were at the vigil last night, 5:30pm on Portland Avenue here. More scheduled today, though. There's a 10am Press conference today, families and educators hosting what they call get ICE out of our schools here. It'll be held in Lake Hiawatha Park. There's also a mass mobilization for tomorrow and Sunday calling for an effort called ICE out for Good, saying that ICE agents are armed, untrained and dangerous to the citizens. And this also there's all kinds of planned protests all across Minneapolis. And if you go on Minnesota of protests on Facebook, they list them all. Governor Tim Waltz calling for a day of unity here. I think he signed a proclamation as such. Let's see if they can abide by that. And by the way, that Hilton that denied the ICE agent, you know, stays here in Minneapolis, the Hilton Hotel, I think removed the sign by crane and say they're no longer affiliated with the Hilton chain. They don't represent the community, the standards, the hotel chain, that hotel that denied access.
Terrence Bates
Hey David, I'm curious if you've noticed still a pretty robust ICE and federal agent deployment there in Minneapolis during your time there on the ground. Also kind of backing up on that. Obviously lots of pushback from Democrats. Specifically how a Senate minority leader, excuse me, Chuck Schumer, calling for an investigation into what happened there in Minneapolis on Wednesday, also saying that ICE agents have no place in America's cities. Here's some of those comments. We should not have ICE agents patrolling our streets. They're not needed. They create chaos and they even create deaths. The mayor of Minneapolis didn't want them. So many other cities didn't. This is sort of Trump strutting around.
David Zier
But they don't belong in our cities, plain and simple. We need a full investigation here as to what happened.
Terrence Bates
David, what say?
David Brody
Wow, my goodness.
David Zier
Yeah, that's what's going on here. ICE was on the ground yesterday, federal agents repelling protesters on Portland Avenue during the daytime. There was, there were confrontations also agitators, professional agitators targeting some conservative media types. But the Immigrant Defense Network also had a 5pm education a seminar yesterday on how to resist ice and for people to know their rights when dealing with them. So we expect some of this might be government sponsored. The school districts are heavily involved, very liberal, very anti ice. And this is a coordinated effort against our ICE officers. And you know, one this is escalating across the country. But here in Minneapolis it seems like a very highly coordinated effort.
Dr. Gina
David. You know, it seems like the news media just simply isn't reporting the things that don't fit their narrative. As David Brody pointed to regarding this woman who was shot in self defense by the ICE agent who was attacked with her weapon. That was her vehicle. This ICE agent though is married to a Filipina immigrant, is an Iraq War veteran. We're not hearing those sorts of details. David. Do you think these things will come out in time and what Else don't we know about what really happened that day?
David Zier
Well, also the day of the shooting and the day after, I couldn't find MSM outlets were showing that were showing the alternate angle of the, you know, woman clipping the officer at she lunged forward in the vehicle here. And this guy, Jonathan Ross, you know, their goal is just to dox everybody. And there's actually a list going on on the Facebook Minnesota protest page here of every hotel that is participating in the government program and housing ICE agents. These ICE agents are being physically targeted here. And this Guy is a 10 year veteran. He got 33 stitches on two different cuts that were received while hanging onto a car, getting dragged by a car who was a sexual predator back in June or July. That's how this information came to light and he was doxed out. But yeah, what's going on here? You know, it's kind of a civil war. So that's what's going on here.
David Brody
Dr. Gina yeah, and there's been dozens of stitches that this guy had from the last time he was run over a year ago. As Gina pointed out, the media is not saying anything, anything about that. But you know what the media is talking about the fact that this happened a couple blocks from where George Floyd, where the whole George Floyd situation happened. And so therefore they're now making her into the new George Floyd to a degree.
David Zier
Well, they are. And this area is, it's kind of a working class, a lot of minorities in the community on Portland Avenue, 32nd, 34, 35th street, where George Floyd incident happened and then this ice shooting here. And it's definitely, you know, definitely very controversial. It's a hotbed of activity down there. And again last night we were on there, a lot of neighborhood residents were out and the overwhelming sentiment amongst them in the street was that they, they don't want ICE in their neighborhoods. And you know, this will work, working class community. But, you know, no one really addressed the legalities of what's going on. And you know, that, you know, nobody stuck up for the police that I was talking to. I interviewed many people last night and they just hate authority and they hate Trump. And this is, this is a very liberal area. And I was talking to Ben Berkhweim yesterday. You know, this region in Minnesota here, some of the, some of the, you know, most heinous protesters are here too. The groups here are very, very radical. You know, it's Minnesota, right? You know, they were, it's, you know, socialistic, it's communistic, it's the second highest income tax state in the United States. You know, there's a lot of regulation, a lot of red tape. It's a leftist entity through and through. So. So yeah, that area though is definitely the epicenter of the anti ice movement.
David Brody
Okay, David, I appreciate that. Grab some hot chocolate. Thanks for being here. Appreciate it.
David Zier
Thank you.
David Brody
All right. Coming up, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth continuing his Arsenal of Freedom tour. This morning we're going to show you how the Pentagon is rebuilding our nation's defense industry right after the break. Back in a moment.
Jim Moseley
All right.
Tracy Anthony
Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily Finn. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is in Los Angeles today continuing his Arsenal of Freedom tour, visiting defense industry leaders and sworn in new recruits. The tour highlights the need to revitalize America's manufacturing base and strengthen the defense industrial system to keep the country safe. Joining us now with more is rav congressional correspondent Benny Ray Harmony. Good morning, Benny. So great to see you very early there in Los Angeles. What more can you tell us about this tour? Yeah, good morning, Emily. So we are currently on the UCLA campus and right behind me here you can see Secretary of War Hegseth. He is participating in PT with the troops. Now, Emily, I can't tell you the last time we saw a Secretary of Defense or Secretary of War that could do this. Now when I was on this morning with Brian Glenn Allison, you know, we talked about the defense industrial base and how Secretary of warheadset that is his biggest priority in this position is to put these initiatives into place so that we have the strongest war fighters that we possibly can that is bringing back American manufacturing that is re encouraging our recruits and showing them that they are truly fighting for something that matters. They aren't just fighting for the warmongers, but they are fighting for the American people. And I think it's just, it's truly exceptional that this Arsenal of Freedom tour kicked off a couple of weeks ago. And we can't expect it to go through the rest of 2026 as we continue to visit some of these defense leader companies and software companies that are equipping our defense systems to do things like they did in Venezuela. So it sounds like you have a very packed day there in Los Angeles with the Secretary of War and it is 6am Your time there, Benny, and he is up, down and dirty with, with everybody doing all of these activities. Are we going to see you out there doing any of these drills, Benny? So, Emily, I am trying to make that happen. Okay? So stand by on that. We are going to try to do some of these workouts with him and I'll make sure I get it on camera for you. But no, I mean he was up our motorcade left the hotel around 5, 5:30 this morning and he was up even before then. We truly just the administrative administration as a whole. EMILY I'm, I'm truly as I'm looking around, I've never really seen anything quite like this. And the passion that these members have for their country and to see the secretary here, it inspires them. EMILY and I think that's the biggest thing, you know, we have to inspire these young men and women to serve, to know that they're serving for a purpose. And hex that just does a tremendous job at that. We will be heading later after, after this we're going to head to a rocket lab that produces some of these missiles that and some of the things that shoot the satellites into the air so that there's so much going on. EMILY there's the rocket lab we're visiting, there's Castilian. I'm going to have lots of information for you today on just the equipment that our war fighters use and all of that. So just stay tuned. My brain is kind of, is kind of of I'm having a brain fart. It's critically important conversation is going to be happening there in California. BENNY Los Angeles today. What is coming up next on the Arsenal of Freedom tour? Yeah, so coming up next, like I said, this tour we're going to Castilian as well as Rocket Lab. And so these are two manufacturers. That is one of the biggest things that we're seeing. EMILY we're seeing a lot of these tours that they're going on. They went down, down to a shipbuilding in Norfolk, Virginia and we're seeing a lot of that manufacturing. You know, the Trump administration, their biggest thing is bringing back American made things. When we're shooting a missile at our adversaries, we want it to say American made. And so overall throughout these next this, these next today as well as the next stops on the tour in the next few weeks, expect a lot of that, a lot of manufacturing and a lot of just preparing so that we can fight against those adversaries all across the world. EMILY Absolutely. Benny thank you so much for waking up early. I look forward to seeing a video of you doing some push ups there today. BENNY ray, army thank you coming I'm going to do it for you. EMILY all right, all right. I want to see this, I want to see this. Coming up, we're headed down to Wall street for the opening bell and insight into how to hold on to your hard earned dollars with some common sense. We'll be back with more American Sunrise in just two minutes. Stick around.

First though, let's get you back over to David. David, good morning.
David Brody
Good morning. T. Bates. All right, so the 2028, not 2026, the 2028 election still years away, but key names already being floated around as potential nominees on both sides of the aisle. Let's discuss that. Dr. G. And I will have added here this morning. Obviously the most obvious one out there is JD Vance, but I don't know, there's others. Rubio's out there. I've heard Donald Trump Jr. S name, I've heard Eric Trump. There's others. What's kind of your view on where we're at for 2028? Dr.
Dr. Gina
I always think it's fun to look at poly markets because. Well, first let me start with one thing and A lot of people have said this, a lot of our friends in the conservative movement and whatever have said the same thing. It's a little dangerous. If you really want someone for president, it might not be the best thing to put their name out there three years before the election. Because all that happens is the media machine descends on that person and endeavors to chop off the head of the octopus. Right. And in doing so, you know, you can really destroy what would have been a really great potential nominee. We have Donald Trump, David. And I think it's important to note that Donald Trump at this point in the 2016 election was ne' er more than a thought in the back of anyone's mind for president. So I think we have to consider that. I think there could be someone that could come in from the outside that we're really not thinking of. Sadly, I think to be viable, they almost have to be a billionaire. And I hate that this has happened in our body politic today. But otherwise they end up so corrupted by the time they get there, David, that they're owned by the special interest because they're dependent on the money of the special interest. The great thing about Donald Trump is he was never dependent on that. But where do you find a maverick like Donald Trump who has the money to fund himself so he doesn't become dependent, et cetera, et cetera? It's really a tough call.
David Brody
Yeah. And the answer is not Elon Musk, by the way, just so we're all clear.
Dr. Gina
Oh, I don't know.
David Brody
Oh, I don't think so.
Dr. Gina
I could be interested.
David Brody
Or Elon Musk for president.
Congressman Pete Sessions
Oh, gosh.
David Brody
I would run for the hills.
Terrence Bates
I would run for the hills.
Dr. Gina
I'll tell you what I like about Elon better than I like Elon Musk, lot of the others, is that he's not an establishment candidate. He is an independent, free thinker. He's not dependent, like I said before, you know, he's obviously. Do I prefer a conservative Christian who's ardently pro life and all of those things? Absolutely. But that's not what we had in Donald Trump. I would like to see this race unfold without us being prescribed a candidate.
David Brody
Yeah, that's fine. I mean, but, you know, H1B visas with Elon Musk. And it's not just about that for Elon Musk. It's more about make America rich again. Necessarily make America great again. I mean, he wants to make America great again, don't get me wrong. But it's done through a different lens. And the H1B visa is a good example of that. Like, anyhow, he's evolving, though.
Dr. Gina
David, I have to tell you this. I know that there are a lot. Just listen. Just like with Donald Trump early on when I would get booed when I walked into pro life speaking events, there are a lot of Christians surrounding Elon right now and talking to him about things. It is possible, just like there was with Donald Trump, to see a real change in his heart in the Oval Office, if it's possible. I just don't wanna rule anyone out because they're a political novice. He's a political novice.
David Brody
That's fair. That's fair. Look, let me. I don't know where you're gonna come down on this, though. I have a feeling. I know. And we only have about, I don't know, a minute or so, but I'm gonna say it. I like Rubio. I know. Here we go. I only got a minute.
Dr. Gina
It's establishment David Brody.
David Brody
Oh, so wait a minute. Rubio's establishment. He has been so good.
Dr. Gina
Rubio is doing a great job. He's doing a great job.
David Brody
He is. He is establishment. No, I give you that. I give you that. He's established. Yes, he's doing a great job. He's doing a great job. All right, so maybe he's sucking up. That's fine. But look, here's the thing. Maybe you can't argue, though, what Rubio has done under this administration for this president in his term. He's been great.
Dr. Gina
You can't.
Tracy Anthony
He's been great.
Dr. Gina
He makes a fantastic Secretary of State.
David Brody
Okay, Sorry. Eric Trump.
Jim Moseley
All right, wait.
David Brody
Next time. Next time, we'll talk. We gotta go.
Dr. Gina
Look at the. Look at the polymarkets people rating in the 1 to 2%. I think they're the viable possible come from behinders. I'll just leave it at that.
David Brody
Gosh, I'd love to vamp with you, so to speak. Whatever that meant. All right, let's check with T. Bates. We love him, don't we? Don't we all? Let's all sing Kumbaya. Here he is. It's sponsored by amac.

We're less than a minute from the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. You're going to hear the applause here in short order, and then we'll count down towards the actual opening of the market. And right on cue, There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The applause is underway, which means we're going to hear the bell here in just a minute and then we'll get an idea of what the markets are looking like. This is Professional Bull Riders, the Professional Bull Riders association at the podium right now. Hence the cowboy hats and the limps. All right, ladies and gentlemen, there you have it. The bell is ringing, which means the markets are now officially open and business is underway. Here's a quick look at how things are looking. The dow and S P500 are looking pretty good right now. The NASDAQ is in the red at the moment, but that can change quite literally at any moment. The rest of our board looks pretty decent, so should hopefully be a good day of trading if you're going to be heading out there, if you're going to be one of the people trading, good luck to you on this Friday of trading.
Jim Moseley
Reading.
Terrence Bates
Well, a new year means new financial goals like making sure that your savings are secure and diversified. So will this year be the year that you finally listen to us here on Real America's Voice and talk to someone over at the Birch Gold Group? Honestly, they're really good people. In fact, we appreciate their educational approach and their understanding of macroeconomics. There are forces out there pushing the dollar lower and gold higher, which is why they believe that every American should own physical gold until January 30th. If you're a first time gold buyer, the Birch Gold Group is offering a rebate of up to $10,000 on qualifying purchases. In order to claim your eligibility and start the process, simply text the word America to the number 989-898. The Birch Gold Group can help you roll an existing IRA or 401k into an IRA in gold and your stuff still eligible for a rebate of up to ten grand. Make right now your first time to buy gold and take advantage of a rebate of up to $10,000 when you buy by January 30th. It's all as simple as texting the word America to the number9898.98 and claiming your eligibility today. Again, simply text the word America to the number 9898. 98 to start the process. Get all the information you need. Still to come here on American Sunrise. Five years after the January 6th demonstration, Senate Democrats are moving to block any taxpayer money from going to pardoned rioters as the fight over January 6th payouts heats up. We'll have the facts for you after the break. Don't go anywhere.
Congressman Pete Sessions
Breaking News from Real America's Voice.
Terrence Bates
We're back with breaking news just into the Real America's Voice newsroom. Appreciate you being here with us. U.S. forces have successfully seized an oil tank in the Caribbean Sea in a pre dawn operation. It's all part of the Trump administration's crackdown on illicit oil shipments linked to Venezuela. The tactical raid saw Marines and Coast Guard board the sanctioned vessel without incident. They were of course, targeting a ship allegedly evading US Sanctions and supporting criminal networks. That's the reporting that we're seeing really across various networks this morning. This is one more step in Project Southern Spear, which is a tough, no nonsense defense of American interests and security in the Western Hemisphere. We will have much more on this and all the details as they emerge throughout the day. Again reporting that the US has seized another oil ship linked to Venezuela. We'll continue to monitor it all for you though throughout the day. Now let's get you over to Dr. Gina and David.
Dr. Gina
All right, you guys, it is time to take a political pulse of America and the beat. Today, the move against those who participated in January 6th. Five years after the event, Senate Democrats are moving to block any possibility of taxpayer money going to those convicted and of course, those who were pardoned. Ultimately, new legislation would ban any compensation fund for January 6th defendants and prohibit federal dollars from paying civil settlements to those convicted of assaulting law enforcement. The proposals come as some Trump allies push for reparations for demonstrators. And after the Justice Department approved a multimillion dollar settlement connected to the events of that day. Democrats say bills are about accountability and protecting taxpayers because that's always what Democrats are worried about. Yes, yes, we believe you. This is, they say it's an attempt to rewrite history. Joining us now write their made up history. Joining us now is reaction, the co host of Cowboy Logic here at rav. Donna, good morning. Yeah, Oi, oy, oy is all I can say.
David Brody
Oy gevolt. Oy gevolt.
Dr. Gina
I mean the fake narrative, it never ends. Donna.
David Brody
Well, if you spew garbage for five years, these useful idiots think it's the truth. The sad problem is many people do believe that Tom Suozzi who took George Santos place, good call there, Mike Johnson. Suozzi's like 100% anti Trump in New York. He actually said on January 6th, two days ago, three days ago, that all these people should have been in prison for 25 years. I mean, the TDS is off the charts and all of a sudden they care about our taxpayer money. Do you know that Michael Byrd According to. This is amazing and it's not getting any coverage. Michael Byrd, who is the supposed shooter of Ashley Babbitt, again, it's on tape. Has a possible illegal child care facility at his home in Maryland since 2000. What is it? I think it was 2008 and he's raked in $190 million. And they're worrying about our taxpayer money all of a sudden. They just boosted the Social Security age. Don't get me started on that. Don is not a happy camper. He missed it by a year. So he's got to work another two years now because they are just using that money left and right for their causes. How are they worth multi millions of dollars on a less than $200,000 salary? By the way, let's look at the facts. No Oath Keepers were charged with any violations whatsoever. No violent violations whatsoever. Okay. And yet you've got Harry Dunn, who testified against them, actually thanked the Oath Keepers inside the Capitol because he was getting really ready to start firing. He had a rifle. They talked him down. But then he turns around after they all talk to him, I'm sure. And testifies against them and then shows up at the sentencing hearing saying to the judge, throw the book at him because I was scared for my life. He's 6 foot 7 and like 300 pounds. I mean, this is so wrong on so many levels. And what's really, I really think who should be sued is the mainstream media for lies. And this is huge because these people's lives have been totally ruined. Enough is enough. By the way, they did hang the plaque saying how great all the police officers were that day. But they don't seem to do that with the ICE agents, do they? Anywhere.
Dr. Gina
No.
David Brody
Exactly. Oh, that's a good. That's actually. They're just in the CYA mode, you know, it's not in my backyard. It's so obviously ridiculous. Yeah. Hey, by the way, we got 30 seconds. The barn party. What do you got going? Hey. Well, we have. We're going to unleash the Kraken, Sidney Powell and her co defendant in Georgia, Harrison Floyd Black voices for Trump. They're going to be on Cowboy Logic. And J. Sixer Thomas Caldwell again 6am and 9pm Eastern Time on Saturday and again 4pm Eastern Time in the afternoon on Sunday. We hope to see you there in the barn party. And the drummers are always ready.
Dr. Gina
That's right, Donna.
Tracy Anthony
Dr. Gina needs to get a hat.
David Brody
When she's in town.
Dr. Gina
Yes, I do. Absolutely. Yes. I'm going to Texas to Join LEGO man Jay Sixer for his launch of his big production company there to be taking place at the studios where the Chosen is filmed. I'm very excited. I don't get to do stuff like this very often. And if it weren't for you, Donna, I wouldn't even know any of those J6ers. So thank you so much. Love you guys. All right, I want to get you over back over to Tara. Terrence T. Bates.
Terrence Bates
Well, do you love me?
Dr. Gina
Of course I love you, Terrence. This goes without saying.
Terrence Bates
I love you back, man. I love you back. I'm sorry. It's Friday and I'm in a silly mood. Dr. Gina all right, folks, look. Across America, many households are facing a quiet crisis, and that would be water systems that are aging, contaminated, some even simply failing. Even your own shower may be aging your skin. That's right. Research shows that hard, unfiltered water can worsen chronic skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Here to weigh in on this very concerning issue is home improvement expert Skip Bedel. We, of course, have watched him for many years helping families on the hit TV show Catch a Contractor. He's also appeared on some of the nation's biggest news shows as an expert contributor on how Americans can improve, improve their homes and keep them healthy and safe. Skip, Good morning, my friend. Welcome to the show. First, I want you to put into perspective for us how some of the water that's coming into contact with our skin and just coming into our home might actually be more dangerous. Most people think of water simply as drinking water, but obviously we're in contact with water every single day in so many different ways.
Jim Moseley
Yeah. Good morning, Terrence, and thanks for having me. It is absolutely a massive problem in America. There are tons of contaminants, literally hundreds of contaminants coast to coast. People think it might just be in their own particular area or worse than others. These chemicals are showing up everywhere. Things like lead, mercury, arsenic, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, industrial chemicals, pesticides and fertilizers. You name it, they're in there. But now we're finding things that are showing up in news stories. I mean, you could just Google that. You'll see tons of news stories over the last number of years about these PFAs, which are forever chemicals, which are basically chemicals that are used in the manufacturing process of literally everything that we are surrounded by in our life. Plastics, technology, textiles or clothes, furniture, everything that we use forever chemicals, they used to make, and they're ending up in our water. And the thing that's really confusing out here for a lot of people is many of them are under this, this misinterpretation that they filter their water. Maybe they have a filter in their refrigerator, they have a filter under their sink. A lot of people drink only bottled water. So we all hear these news stories about all the things that are in our water. But they're like, well, you know what, I'm good because I don't drink it. You know, a lot of people say I would never drink the water from my tap, I only drink bottled water, or I only filter my water. And the problem with that is most people don't understand, understand that we take in more of those chemicals through our skin and by inhaling the vapors in the shower than you ever could by drinking it alone. So we were talking about the skin in this particular news story. It goes much further beyond than just eczema and actual topical skin problems. It's actually all the health problems that we're seeing. A tremendous spike in Americans. Things like cancer, things like internal organ problems, chronic fatigue, chronic inflammation throughout the body, brain fog. I'm sure we can all relate to that. In the last number of years, we've seen tremendous spikes in these things. And the chemicals that are in our water are very involved with those problems. And the reason that is our skin is the largest organ on the human body and it acts like a sponge and it takes in everything that it comes in contact with and absorbs it directly into our bloodstream. That's why so many medications are designed to be applied top topically. It's the fastest way to get something into your body. It bypasses the digestive tract. And when you stand and take an average 10 minute shower, we can absorb up to 6 ounces of all those harmful contaminants that you're hearing about in the news that you thought you filtered out. We can absorb them at a much higher rate in a concentrated vaporized rate that goes right into our bloodstream. When we breathe the air in the shower, the vapors and the humidity, it goes right into our lungs and into our bloodstream. So the kind of the problem went out there is that people think by filtering their water or only drinking bottled water, they're bypassing all those chemicals. And the truth is, by washing, showering, bathing, we're absorbing much more than we could ever take in by drinking. So it's really important that people focus on filtering not just the water that they drink. You need to filter all the water that comes into your home.
Terrence Bates
All right, so what's the difference between filtering and softening the water. I see that big contraption there in front of you. Explain what that is. And then if you don't mind talking about the difference between a water filter and a water softener.
Jim Moseley
Yeah. So water softeners, it's kind of like in today's day and age is almost like older technology, right? So the water softeners are usually a larger, more cumbersome units. They require constant maintenance. You usually have to feed salt or potassium into them. Them, that's why you'll see like a Costco, they sell the 40 pound bags of salt that you have to lug around. You have to constantly replenish that. But all it does is condition the water. And that means it strips the minerals out of the water. That causes hard water scale damage to your plumbing. It jams up your, your, your shower head. It causes problems with your plumbing fixtures and your appliances. But softeners do nothing to filter out the contaminants, the things that are making us sick, the poisons and the toxins. It's simply taking out the minerals from the water. So a filtration system still has to be added on to a water softener. And typically those require changing cartridges and changing things as well to maintain. So the new technology right now is units like this. And this is what I use in my own home. This is a whole home water filtration system. This does the job of a water softener. It takes out all the minerals to jam up your plumbing and it causes hard water scale damage to your home. But it also filters out all of the harmful contaminants that are coming into your water. Not only the water that you drink, the water that you're bathing and showering in as well. You know, we use water for everything. We wash, we do our laundry, dishes, we clean everything with it. And of course, you know, just things like you take for example, you think of the healthiest things you can do, right? Shower, bathe, brush your teeth, teeth, wash your hands. We think of these things as the healthiest thing we can do. But that water has to be filtered because we come in contact with it. And that is in fact the way the place that we absorb those most chemicals. So this does the job of that in a very small footprint. It's not like the size of the old school water softeners. It does the job of the softener, but it removes all the harmful chemicals as well. Very effective. And what happens is that by running this at your water, water main, your water main water system Just gets teed right into one side of this and then it comes back out to your house. So essentially it's a loop and it forces all the water, every drop of the water in your home to go through this filter before it goes to your house. And that basically renders you better than spring, like water better than you would get even in a bottle. And it's alkaline drinking water to every faucet in your home, Terence. Everywhere is going to get bit better than bottle quality water. And it's alkaline. And that's also something really important too. You know, now we're seeing like big spikes in sales of alkaline drinking water. People are paying like 7, $8 a bottle for alkaline water. The water that comes out of this is now alkaline purified water. And it comes out every single faucet in your home when you use one of these systems like I have in my house.
Terrence Bates
And for someone like me who's forgetful, this is great because you can just hook it up and then forget about it.
Jim Moseley
It. Yeah. So that's basically. That's one of the beautiful parts about a system like this. This company, you know, me as a home improvement contractor, I have access to so many different products. I've installed hundreds of different water systems for people over the years. So when it came time for me to look into a system to keep my family safe and protected from the poisons and the toxins that are in the water, I did a lot of research and this system by far for me was the best choice, choice hands down. It was the most cost effective system out there, the most comprehensive, meaning that it takes out the most things that are in the water, but it's also very compact and it's a very easy install. You know, it's basically just one hose in and one hose out that goes back to the house. So this is for any plumber. This is going to take them probably about 30 minutes. It's the easiest install for any system available on the market out there. And you know, again, you're getting that out alkaline drinking water to your whole home. It does the water of removing the hard contaminants in the scale to your home, but it also is taking out all those harmful contaminants. And most importantly for me, Terence, as a, you know, as a homeowner, as a family person, a father and a husband, I want to have peace of mind. I want to know that my family is safe from all these things we hear about in the news and I also wanted to bring it to people's attention just by filtering your water that you drink. Drink is not enough. It's important that every American understands that with all the contaminants that are now currently and they're going up by the day, it's important that we filter every drop of water that comes into our home, not just the water that we drink. And that's why this system that I've chosen to put into my own home from Freedom Water Systems, it's the most effective system out there. It's definitely the way to go really quickly.
Terrence Bates
I'm cheap or a fiscal conservative, I'll put it that way. So is there a problem promo code people can use if they'd like to buy one of these systems?
Jim Moseley
Yeah, it's a great time to get one of these right now because this company is offering a thousand dollar discount right now on this system which is unbelievable. If you use promo code skip, you're going to get a special discount for all the rap viewers out there. Go on to their website right now@freedomwatersystems.com type in promo code skip26 and you're going to get a thousand dollar discount. So, so great time to get into these systems. Terrence.
Terrence Bates
Love it. Always good to see you, my friend. Appreciate you joining us this morning. Again, use that promo code skip26actually. Or skip either one. Try both and receive $1,000 discount for free water systems. Coming up though, Al Gore slamming President Trump over the US Withdrawal from key United nations climate initiatives, calling it a setback for global efforts to tackle the climate crisis. We'll talk more about that after the break.
Congressman Pete Sessions
Let's spill some tea.
Terrence Bates
Let's spill some tea. Is fueled by Artillery Tea Company. It's the only America first veteran owned tea brand out there. Their mission is to maximize flavor with whole leaf blends. Encounter chemical free tea bags. There's no junk here, just real tea. And the tactical advantage is that each bag brews not just once but twice. So go on over to artillerytco.com use the promo code RAV for 10% off of your first order. That's artillerytco.com it's premium tea that's mission driven and brewed for the brave. All right, let's get right into what's in the cup today. And we're talking about former Vice President Al Gore who is blasting President Trump after the administration moved to withdraw the United States from several United nations linked climate initiatives. In a statement on Wednesday, Gore called climate change the most significant challenge of our lifetimes. Warning that pulling out of groups like the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change undermines decades of diplomacy and global cooperation. The move comes after President Trump signed a memorandum ordering the United States to withdraw from multiple international organizations, saying continued participation is no longer in America's interest.
David Zier
All right.
Terrence Bates
We of course want to know what you think about all of this. Head on over to get a rumble. YouTube, hop on. Let your voice be heard. Looking forward to your thoughts on those issues and much more still to come here on American Summit Rise, though, a different approach to juvenile justice is getting results in Montana and it doesn't involve suspensions or detention. That story is next.
Congressman Pete Sessions
All right.
Dr. Gina
Welcome Back to American Sunrise. I'm Dr. G. David Brody singing along on the backup there. Thanks so much for joining us today. Time now for our sunny side up. And in the pan today, a non profit group in Montana seeing positive results with a new approach for reducing juvenile crime. The center for Restorative Youth justice, or cryj, is working with schools and youth courts to keep kids out of suspension and detention and instead bring them face to face with the real impact of their actions. The model requires young offenders to confront victims, take responsibility, rebuild trust process organizers say is often harder than simply serving a suspension or court penalty. The results look very promising, though. In Kalispell, out of school suspensions have dropped sharply. Recidivism rates are at a much lower rate than neighboring counties and the cost to taxpayers a fraction of what traditional youth detention runs. All right, there you go, guys. Something we can also think about. Yeah.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, I like this. And you know, there's something to be said about personal responsibility facing, you know, the person that you've wronged, apologizing, hopefully. And hopefully it has an impact. But you know, these days, David and Dr. Gina, kids are just different. Young people are just different. I've gone to my girls high school and kids curse like they're sailors. And even in seeing adults, like there's no oh, I'm sorry or there's no I'm gonna, you know, kind of, they just don't care. And it strikes me every time I'm just like, really? You know, yes, we cursed during our time, but if we saw adults, you apologized or you try to at least stop for the time being. They just don't care. These kids today don't care.
David Brody
Listen, I hear you on that and I agree. I will say this, and I'm not trying to let the kids off the hook here, but this is generational. I mean, if you just go back, right? I mean, you got to put some on the parents, you got to put some on the grandparents. I'm sorry, Our grandparents. You know, we look back, we go, oh, they were great back. Oh, no, they weren't. No, they weren't. Okay. And you go back. I mean, we have to go back to, like, a long time ago. Actually, now I think about it, even Adam and Eve, right? I mean, we're all sinners. So There you go, Dr. G. That's my.
Jim Moseley
I don't know.
Dr. Gina
I'll tell you what. My Grandpa, World War II bomber pilot, that man could cuss up a storm.
David Brody
Come on.
Dr. Gina
So it happens. I forgot Kobe today. He's being groomed because we're going to Dallas today. He's coming with me, and so he's not with us.
Congressman Pete Sessions
Oh, my God.
Terrence Bates
Kobe, what the beep are you thinking?
David Brody
Dr. Gina, baby, I know.
Dr. Gina
On the puppy Friday, and I forgot the puppy. All right, you guys, listen. War Room is coming up next. We will be back with you Monday. But don't miss all our great weekend programming. How Good Children Love youe God, Peggy, your puppies. And go. Boldly now, live the truth.
