This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Just ahead on American Sunrise, President Trump in Kentucky. Trump slammed Congressman Thomas Massie in his district. Will the Massie, will Massie survive the GOP primary? We will break it down. Plus, injured in a strike, Iran's new supreme leader may have been wounded in the war. How will Iran respond? We have expert analysis. And later, authorities say two men from Pennsylvania faced federal charges after homemade explosive devices were ignited during clashing protests near Gracie Mansion in New York. We have those stories and so much more as American Sunrise starts right now.
B
Good morning, America.
A
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
C
Politics.
B
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
C
We've got you covered.
B
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
C
We have to protect the American family.
A
The American dream is still alive.
B
I'm David Brody.
C
I'm terrence.
A
And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning, everybody. I'm Dr. Gina. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David Brody. He's in Washington, D.C. terrence Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, guys.
B
Good morning, Gina. Good morning, Terrence.
C
Dr. Gina and David, good morning. Good morning to both of you guys. Can we just get right to it? Because President Trump is must watch tv. I think you guys both agree he was in Kentucky yesterday. And I'm going to say that he was actually on the campaign trail because he was there to help a candidate who's primary, Thomas Massie. We're going to play the sound in just a minute, but kind of interluding, if you will. The president talked about the economy. He of course, also urged the Senate to pass the Save America act. And then he slammed Thomas Massie. Check out this.
B
Thomas Massie also voted with the radical
D
left Democrats in Congress to keep the
B
federal government shut down during the open border crusade while our military went without pay. He voted for a military not to get that. And now Massey, he's the worst. And I don't say that.
C
I never hit a guy like this.
B
The guy's the most. He just, we call him Rand Paul Jr. He votes against everything. But at least I like Rand a little bit. Can't love a guy that votes. I got him elected twice. If I didn't endorse him, he was
A
not going to get elected.
C
Do you remember that?
B
I came and I did a little rally and Rand votes against us all the time, too. But at least he's okay.
C
He's the worst. At least I like Rand a little bit. He's the worst. I'm sorry. I loved it. I was watching that and just chuckling to myself. I love the attacks. It definitely makes for good TV. To me, at least. Dr. Jeter.
A
Yeah. You know, vintage Trump. Apparently he hasn't gone anywhere. That's good. The Beltway hasn't taken it out of him, I guess. David.
B
Yeah, for sure. Look, it's kind of strange, let's be honest. I mean, Massie is a constitutional libertarian, right? I mean, he channels mag on so much stuff. He hates the omnibus bills. Right? I mean, he was against that Covid Cares package back in 2020 and President Trump's first term, where, you know, everything was being thrown in. I mean, he's like, what are we doing here? And all of Mag agrees with him. Let's be honest. And so then you have Trump coming out against Massie. So it's just kind of strange. And then, of course, you got the Epstein files, too. But look, the truth of the matter is, to me, what's interesting is that he gets on Massie's case, but lets Rand Paul a little bit off the hook. And the difference is that Rand Paul doesn't challenge.
C
He challenge likes Rand Paul.
B
Well, yeah, but Rand Paul doesn't challenge Trump in public, and he doesn't, you know, and. Whereas Massie does, and Trump's like, okay, you're gonna challenge me? Well, then here we go. Let's games on. You can't out challenge Trump, that's for sure.
A
We can't out troll them. That's positively for sure.
B
Yeah, for sure.
C
Absolutely. Question to either of you. Have you guys gotten gas recently?
B
Yes.
C
Yeah, about how much did you pay?
B
60 bucks.
C
Oh, a gallon, David. Like six. I don't know how big your car is.
B
I'm sorry.
C
60 bucks.
B
I got a van.
C
A gallon.
B
I told you, I got a. Yeah, I'm the guy in the suburbs with the van. No, yeah. 60 bucks a gallon. No, just kidding. $3.50 a gallon is what I paid about before the war. It was $2.85. So it's been up. It's up 65 cents.
C
Dr. G.
A
I might not get gas. I have a really good husband. I'm sorry. I just don't get gas. I'm sorry. The prince, Al,
B
that's authentic.
C
Exactly.
A
I mean, I can make it out.
C
That's why my wife isn't paying attention, because she's going to be like, well, Dr. Gina doesn't have to get gas.
A
I don't get gas.
C
Okay, all right, fair enough. Fair enough. I'm not going to lie. I was at the guest.
A
You know, he doesn't clean the kitchen either. So I'm just saying, oh, wait, I clean.
C
My wife isn't watching. I don't do that either. All right, well, gas is really high. In fact, it's back in terms of barrel of oil is back over $100. This after hitting about $120. There are going to be taps into the strategic reserv reserve. That's the newest information out this morning. So hopefully that's going to force gas prices back down. There you have it right there. US to release 172 million barrels from the strategic oil reserve. And all of this again is targeted at bringing gas prices and oil prices back down. So hopefully, David, you won't have to spend $60 and it may be closer to 40 or 45 here in the very near future. We'll of course continue to talk about.
A
I have to tell you on the gas topic, though, my husband, he'll spend untold amount of money on a cigar or a good whiskey, but he will drive 20 miles out of his way to get a better price at a gas station.
B
Good for him. Good for him.
A
Cracks me up like, honey, what'd you really save? $1.50. I mean, anyway.
E
Yeah.
A
All right, today's Bible, first time.
C
Hey, I get him. I get him.
A
I guess he knows what he likes and it's not paying for gas, but he does like a good cigar. All right, today's Bible verse from John 14, verse 1. Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. Two men from Bucks County, Pennsylvania are facing federal charges after authorities say they were involved in an ISIS inspired incident outside New York City Mayor Mamdani's residence at Gracie Mansion. Investigators say two homemade explosive devices were ignited during clashing protests over the weekend, but failed to detonate. Injuries were reported and the FBI is continuing to investigate. I want to bring in New York City Council member Vicki Palladino. Vicki, this story we heard about a couple days ago, I can't remember, but I'm sure it has definitely affected the way business is happening there.
F
It's, it's, it, it hit us hard. You know, ultimately we all knew or feared the worst that this was going start to unravel with the current ideology that's going on in the city as well as across the country. So to see this play out in real time and on Saturday night, and then the mayor not to have a quick response, a positive response for our cops and instead go with the terrorists that was somewhat jarring as well. It's a real wake up call for all of us. These kids here are trained by ISIS. They come from extremely privileged household. $2.5 million. One of them come from in Pennsylvania, the other one, close to a million dollars raised in privilege. And yet they are screaming, death to America. Death to America. Our cops. Our police have been absolutely amazing. If you watch Jessica Tisch, who is our police commissioner yesterday in her press conference and the Rebecca Weiner, who is deputy to counterterrorism here in the city, they were on the ball. They were on top of everything. The FBI that that's working together with them, the fact that the feds took them out of New York, thank God that they, they're being held with federal charges because if this would have stayed in New York City, they could have very easily for God forbid, gotten a very much lesser consequence. But I think they've done an amazing, amazing job. Our police have not been given the credit that they are definitely entitled to. So let me do that now.
B
Yeah. Hey, Vicky. And meanwhile, Mamdani is mumbling and bumbling his way through all of this. He won't call out the radical Islamic nature of what's going on here. You're on the city council. Do you feel like a voice in the wilderness here screaming, shouting from the rooftops about everything that's going on with this mayor? Go ahead, please.
F
Yes. First off, you know my city council consists of 51 seats. 51 seats. Only five of them belong to a Republican voice. We have what's called a common sense caucus. And that caucus is only three Democrats, which I give them credit. However, the other, there's 24 members of the 51 that are in what's called the Progressive caucus. The Progressive Caucus is 100% behind this young guy here who got elected. I do not even recognize him as my mayor, much like I didn't recognize Biden as my president. I won't do that. He's ill equipped. He has not stood up on the right side of things since he's taken office. He has campaigned on everything. And his ideology. You cannot govern on ideology. He puts that big smile on his face. He is a Trojan horse, as we've heard so many people say. He says he's for the middle class and things are going to be for free. He's driving out the middle class with this budget, all this stuff that he put in this new budget. $127 billion. New York is suffering under this young man here. And do I feel like a voice in A wilderness? Most definitely. Absolutely. Because quite frankly, I am the only one, Republicans included, that have really stepped up and stepped out and have chosen to take this route. As far as being outspoken as I am about the mayor and his policies, and it's something that must be done. It's my First Amendment right to do so, and I will continue to do so.
C
You mentioned Zoran Mandami's budget. I want to just reach through the TV and give you a hug because I'm glad I do not live in New York right now. The city comptroller there says that he sees a risk in NYC Mayor Mamdani's budget plan. The comptroller saying that city right now spends more than it takes in that budget that you mentioned includes new taxes. But here's the big one, Mom. Donnie is proposing a nine and a half percent property tax increase. I'm sorry, excuse my English, but where they do that, like, that's outrageous.
F
That's insane. And let me, let me say this also. 9.2%.
A
You.
F
That is it. That, that is the ticket to take everybody out of here. We are the tax base, the middle class. And what he's doing basically is holding us hostage because he's telling Kathy Hochul upstate, if you don't give us this, if you don't give us that, then I have no choice but to increase property taxes. Well, that's a load of. You know what? Because there's so much bulk and pork in this current budget of 108 billion, now he's raising it from 108 billion to 127 billion. If you will just look at our budget. Line for line. He created from 108 billion, which was a disaster, to 127 billion, which means he's added more and more programs to this budget. So he tells Kathy Hochul, you know what you need to do? You need to tax the rich and you need to put a heavier corporate tax on our businesses here. Now, anybody who does that knows if you live here, that we will have the highest corporate rate of tax, even double, triple higher than New Jersey. This is really rough. Go. And you will drive middle class and business out of the city. I want to see what my finance committee does. Another council member, Linda Lee, and I really want to see if Julie Menon, our speaker, steps up to the plate and makes the cuts that she needs to make.
A
All right, Vicki Palladino, thanks for your time.
F
Thank you very much for having me.

The cost of the war in Iran continues to mount. As the Pentagon says the first week of combat operations cost $11.3 billion. In the meantime, as oil prices spiked as a result of the war, the International Energy Agency says it will release the largest volume of emergency oil reserves in its history. In order to soften the blow the war is having on energy markets, the US Also plans to dip into its strategic oil reserves. As of Wednesday, the price of Brent crude oil and the international standard was up about 20% from before war prices. One of the latest attempts by Iran to squeeze worldwide oil markets was an attack on commercial ships across the Persian Gulf. The Islamic Republic also fired missiles at Dubai International Airport, as well as fuel tanks in Bahrain and Oman. Both areas are home to US Forces and or a significant number of US Citizens. While addressing voters in Kentucky on Wednesday, the Commander in Chief boldly declaring victory in Iran and we've won. Let me say we've won.
B
You know, you never like to say too early, you won, we won.
D
We won the bet. In the first hour.
B
It was over. They don't know what the hell hit them, right? They don't know what hit them.
E
They got hit by the American military.
B
They don't know. They say, what the hell is happening.
E
They didn't expect anything like this.
C
And as the war in Iran rages on and Iran retaliates against the United States and its neighbors in the region, the FBI is out with a warning to law enforcement across California that the battered Islamic republic could target the American homeland with the drones. In its bulletin, the bureau writes, we recently acquired information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United States. The warning specifically names California as a target. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department says that it is maintaining a, quote, elevated level of readiness. And the Governor's Office of Emergency Services says it is actively working with state, local and federal security officials to protect communities around the Golden State. Security experts say the threat is real as Mexican drug cartels along the border already use drones to carry out their dirty work and in some cases even attack law enforcement. Talk about a mixed bag of weather this week across the country. Check out this video we're going to show you here momentarily. Out of the Midwest, where at least four tornadoes are blamed for the deaths of at least two people in northwest Indiana. A major damage is also sustained in Kankakee, Illinois. The National Weather Service says several intense supercell thunderstorms spawn those twisters this morning. Cleanup continues after windows were shadowed, shattered. Excuse me, roofs ripped off of homes and FL vehicles smashed. Meantime, Southern California feeling like the middle of summer, even though it's technically still winter there. Los Angeles is dealing with a winter heat wave with temperatures reaching an unseasonable 93 degrees. The National Weather Service is predicting temperatures will be 20 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year. In fact, today is forecast to be the hottest day in free of the week with temperatures reaching 95 degrees in the San Fernando Valley. That brings us to Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony. She's got the very latest on your forecast from coast to coast. Tracy. Such a mixed bag. I mean, some places dealing with severe weather. And then there's Cali, where I wish I was right now. 95 degrees today. Take me away. Put me on a beach somewhere with a, with an umbrella drink.
G
Right? No, it sounds great. And they're actually going to stay this warm through next week. They'll dip a little bit over the weekend, but back in 90s and triple digits, it's just crazy because we still have blizzard warnings that are on the map. So yes, grab bag of weather for sure. It is devastating to see these images coming out of Illinois, but we're still tracking severe weather throughout the start of the day today. So we're still tracking this. It's the same system. It's just the southern end of it. And we've got this line of showers that has been really packing a punch. Now, we do still have a tornado warning associated with this. This is South Georgia and typically when you get these storms that organize along a line like this, you typically have a lot of quick spin ups. So the tornado warnings really have been going off all morning, but it's going to be for quick spin ups. Hopefully they don't do too much damage. Usually it's EF1, EF2 too. But after that, that severe weather threat should be out of the woods and will be in the clear. But like we were talking about the Southwest, it's going to be the record heat potential through midweek next week. Terrence.
C
All right, Tracy, thanks so much. We'll check in with you next hour for our hometown forecast. By the way, folks, go to our various social media platforms, be it getter, rumble, YouTube, let us know where you're hanging out and you might be a lucky recipient of Tracy's hometown forecast. Thanks so much. See you in a little bit.
A
Yep.
G
See ya.
C
All right, up next, Iran's new supreme leader may have been wounded in the war. Mojtaba Khamenei was reportedly injured in the Israeli strike that killed his father. We're working to get to the bottom of what's really going on. You'll have to stick around for the very latest.
D
From the way I was raised in the way I was asked. I believe in God, I believe in word. I believe this episode is brought to you by Spreaker, the platform responsible for a rapidly spreading condition known as podcast brain. B
You see, this is what makes her show different. Louisville, Kentucky. We're bumping in with a shot there. We got country music blaring. If this was cnn, they'd be bumping in with Barbra Streisand, let's be honest. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. All right. President Trump says the war with Iran could end soon. Trump told Axios there's, quote, practically nothing left to target, adding US Strikes have done more damage than expected. However, this is the old however, US And Israeli officials say there's still no timeline for when the fighting will stop. And military planners are preparing for at least two more weeks of strikes. All right, for more, let's bring in retired CIA senior operations officer and the founder and CEO of Tower Strategy llc. That would be Rick De La Torre. Rick, thanks for being here. So where do you think this goes? And I do want to point out that we now have a preliminary finding from the military saying it does appear that the US Was responsible for that strike on that Iranian school. Once again, it was a mistake, obviously, but that's according to preliminary findings, 170 people, actually more than that, mostly children killed. That's not going to go down well in terms of the PR effort regarding the war, your thoughts?
E
Well, on that specific matter, I mean, I think ultimately it's still the Iranian regime's responsibility and it's still ultimately their fault. I mean, they hide. Well, not that they hide, but they locate strategic military objectives near places like hospitals and schools. We've seen this before also in places like Gaza. It's a sad, you know, it's a sad thing. I'm sure. You know, one of the things that's different about our military is that we, we actually do conduct investigations and we do hold people responsible and we learn from these things and we move forward. But the ultimate responsibility still lies with, with the regime. Had they actually been a good world partner and that threatened us for the last 40 some odd years, we wouldn't have been in this situation in the first place.
C
The regime you're mentioning is now headed by Mojtaba Khamenei. He, of course, is the son of the former Ayatollah. There's this headline out this morning that reads, new Iranian supreme leader said to be slightly wounded in the War reports say that Khamenei suffered leg wounds. Do you think that the administration is ultimately going to take Mostaba Khomeini out altogether? I get the sense that he cannot remain the leader because he's even more hardline than his father, and we know that that didn't work.
E
Well, the new Khomeini is already a wounded, limping symbol of a dying regime, and that's actually kind of poetic justice if you think about it. He took a leg hit, apparently has a fractured foot, some facial cuts, eye bruising, you know, and all this happened, I think, on the same day. That or he was in very close proximity to where his father was vaporized. I think right now, the most we'll see of him is what we've seen so far, a cardboard cutout with a photo on top of it. If he continues down the same line of thinking, and apparently he's an even stronger hardliner than his father was, I suspect he won't be around very much longer.
A
Rick, how do we accomplish this without ground troops?
E
Well, we're doing it now. I mean, if you look at what we've done in just, you know, 13 days, and this shows exactly what happens when the United States gets serious about taking on international threats and we take the gloves off and we actually unleash our military and allow it to do what it needs to do. Rogue regimes start to crumble, and they crumble fast. In just 13 days, we've hammered over 5,500 targets. We've sunk an entire class of their warships. We've wiped out more than 70% of their missile launchers. And, you know, there are some continuing attacks on commercial ships along the straight or move, but that's the next step that I'm sure our CENTCOM commander, who's an admiral, who's very familiar with the Strait of Hormuz and its passage. I'm more than certain he'll be more than capable of handling that. In a former life, when I was in the Navy, I used to brief admirals on doing the asserted Hormuz passage, and that is something that we have studied for decades. So it's just a matter now of continuing to wipe out what is left of the Iranian military, defang it completely, and then provide the necessary security and tools we need to continue traffic, shipping through there, boots on the ground. Maybe Karg Island. I'm sure someone at the Pentagon is considering that. Carg Island, I think, is responsible for something like 80, 90% of the oil output that comes out of Iran. That is something that you know, that we could certainly take. But then that, that does create some additional concerns, you know, okay, so, so we take Carg island. Now what, you know, how are we going to defend it? You know, what is the Iranian response going to be? How are we going to handle that kind of a response? You know, what are the next steps after that? So, but you know, folks in the Pentagon are considering all those options and seeing, you know, what they can and should do.
B
So many open ended questions. I was talking to Senator Ted Cruz yesterday. He said there will not be extended ground troops at all in Iraq. I said, I'm sorry, extended? You said. He goes, well, there could be limited ground troops. So we will see.
E
Yeah, look, limited ground troops. If you expand that, it means special, you know, special operators who, who sadly, you know, there are certain things that munitions can't touch and you may need to put some special operators. These are elite teams to conduct these operations.
B
Yeah, I think that's where it's going. I think it's going to be limited ground troops. That's my sense of it. All right, Rick, appreciate it. Thanks so much.
E
Thanks for having me.
B

Let's go. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thank you for joining us. It is time now for today's health news. It is sponsored by the wellness company under the microscope today. Okay, sorry my Prompter just changed. That's okay. Taking a multivitamin, they say, may help slow biological aging. This according to a new study. Researchers followed 950 older adults for two years and found that those who took a multivitamin showed about four months fewer biological years than those taking a placebo. Scientists say the effect was modest and seen as some aging markers. And experts cautioned that vitamins should definitely not replace a healthy diet. Healthy lifestyle. Also, peptides being explored as biological signaling tools that reactivate and repair pathways that decline with age. Their proposed effects operate through several mechanisms. Tissue regeneration, immune system restoration, hormonal and metabolic optimization, and even collagen and connective tissue repair. And so lots of people are turning to their functional medicine doctors to tell them what would work best to help them battle the aging. I know David Brody wants to know this. All right. The Trump administration has brought a lot of positive changes when it comes to fixing our broken health care system. The reality, though, there's only so much the government can do. If we really want to make America healthy again, it's going to start at home with each and every one of us. And that is where the Wellness Company comes in. You see and hear from their doctors all the time. You know, their products are the gold standard, keeping you healthy. The Wellness Company helps make sure you're prepared for whatever happens with their prescription medical kits. These kits have an assortment of life saving meds and guidebooks to assist in the use of the meds in the kit. Additionally, the Wellness Company offers a variety of products. Parasite cleanses, Methylene blue, Weight loss. So much more. These can help you stay healthy, live a longer, more satisfying life. Make America healthy again starts at home. Do your part. Protect the health of yourself and your family. Go to TWC Health Rav. Give it an order. That's TWC Health Rav. Use the promo code RAB. Save you 10%. David, do you do peptides?
B
You know, that's funny you asked. It's funny you asked me. The answer is no. I need to. I have them. I'm going to. I also would like a little tissue regeneration, if you don't mind.
A
Yes, that's right there in your peptide injector.
D
Great.
B
Hey, honey, I'll be right back. I'm going to my peptide injector.
A
Yes, there you go.
B
I'll do it.
A
You know, you do them at home, you do them on yourself. Just inject them right into the fat tissue, the different peptides, but be careful how you stack them. And as I said, do talk to your functional medical Doctor first. But I'll tell you, the peptides will be a million times more effective than any multivitamin ever.
B
Yeah, okay, that's good to know. I'm on it. I'll do it. All right. So a Media Research center analysis claims major networks have ignored President Trump's push for the Save America Act. You're kidding me. Really? That's the case? Yes. The report says abc, CBS and NBC devoted, wait for it, zero seconds of coverage to the bill on their morning and evening News programs between Feb. 11 and early March. The measure would require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections. Obviously, the media doesn't like that. Supporters say it protects election integrity, while critics warn it could restrict voting access, which of course you hear about all the time on that network, cnn. Let's bring in now the managing editor of News Busters at the Media Research Center, Curtis Hauck. You guys, Curtis, do great analysis. I mean, look, you're not making this stuff up. You're watching the newscast. This is what they're doing. Give us the latest from the so called front lines. Good morning.
E
Good morning, guys. Yeah, absolutely nothing from the broadcast networks and nothing on the news apps that, you know, none of the viewers here are watching. But a lot of your friends that are not as plugged in, that just go on Apple News or Google News, MSN or Yahoo and call it a day. That's not being put out there either. And the thing that we point out in our story is a March 2nd Harvard Harris Poll. So again, not, you know, this isn't like something that NewsBusters Commission or RAV Commission, this is Harvard asked folks various components of the SAVE Act. 81% support voter ID, 74% support proof of citizenship to register to vote, 54% believe in taking measures to root out voter fraud, and 61% believe in sharing voter rolls with DHS to confirm that all non citizens have been removed from the voter rolls. You know, this is the kind of uncontroversial stuff that the media do not want to talk about. They'd rather get bogged down in the personality. They'd rather get bogged down in the scandal and the doom porn about what may or may not go wrong in the Middle east or here at home. Then talk about something that is unifying and proof that the Republicans can do something they want to be able to run and say the Republicans don't have any agenda whatsoever when obviously they do.
A
Yeah, I had a chance last night to talk to Jason Smith, chairman of the Ways and Means from Missouri. And I was asking him, why is Rand Paul opposed? Do you know the answer to that? I can't seem to get an answer on that.
E
None. None.
A
And then you add in the components
E
that, you know, Caroline Levitt discussed the briefing this week. You know, it involves ensuring men aren't in women's sports as well, protecting our women and girls as well. So these are common sense proposals that the left does not want to talk about. I think there's a lot of Republicans who have other ancillary problems or they have opposition to the filibuster. They don't want to have the talking filibuster. I mean, there's a number of reasons for it. I think, as my boss, David Bozell said, it's time for Republicans to actually grow a spine. And yes, Republicans being in charge shows that things that Democrats would pass do not happen. But also you have to say, what did they do instead? You need to be able to make a positive campaign to the American people that in addition to cost of living, we're ensuring and protecting future elections as well, because it will then require a Democrat Congress to undo all of these things as well. And this isn't nationalizing elections, you know, per se, in the same way that, you know, we probably talked a few years ago about HR1 with Democrats taking control of the primary system and so on and so forth.
B
I know we gotta run, but I think the answer, Gina, possibly to your question about Rand Paul is that he doesn't want to nationalize the standards. He's such a, you know, he's a state rights guy. Yeah. I mean, he's just like, I just don't want to do it on principle. That may be the reason.
A
Some things, some things government should do, some things the federal government should do.
E
Right.
A
You know, Curtis, how we appreciate you being with us. Thank you.
E
Thanks, gang.
A
All right, coming up, controversial plan in Britain to scale back jury trials. Lawmakers have moved a bill forward that would allow some criminal cases to be decided by a judge instead. How's this going over? Going to assess that next on American Sunrise.
D
America, it's time to make some noise. Scan the QR code right now and pre save the brand new song God, Grit and Guns by the Truth Bombers or search for it on itunes and hit pre save. Today, let's run this song all the way up the charts and remind the music industry who's really in charge. We the people. In a world filled with, with chaos, conflict and uncertainty, this song is a reminder of something stronger. America's grit, faith and Fortitude because Americans don't back down and we never will. D
Greetings.
G
Welcome back. Now that we're caffeinated, it's time to stay awake, not woke. And today we are discussing the British government. Britain's controversial plan to scale back jury trials has cleared a major hurdle in Parliament. Lawmakers approved the Courts and Tribunals bill at its second reading, sending it to the next stage of review. The proposal would allow some criminal cases with likely sentences of three years or less to be decided by a judge instead of a jury. Supporters say the change could help clear a massive backlog of court cases, while critics warn it could undermine a longstanding traditional of British justice. Let's now bring in Dr. Gina, David and Terrence. Terrence, want to get your thoughts first on this. This doesn't seem very fair to the people of the UK Yeah.
C
And I would submit that at least similar to here in the United States, they should have a choice of taking their case to a jury trial or having a judge or a bench trial, as it's called here in the United States, happen. Just the idea that, oh, well, you'll probably, if you're convicted, you'll only spend, you know, your case will only land you in jail for up to three years. So we're just gonna have a judge decide that. That seems so arbitrary to me, David.
B
Yeah, I mean, Liz Truss was on, obviously, the former UK Prime Minister with us the other day, and she was talking about all of the real problems going on in the uk from Keir Starmer to some of what you're talking about here. And also the Muslim influx into the. I call it an influx. It's more. It's becoming an acid reflux situation. I mean, it's really bad there. Really, really bad. And once again, this is not against Muslims. Okay. But it is about the ideology and what they're bringing and trying to do in terms of taking over parts of the Parliament and other places in society. I mean, Gina, you were there on the streets of London and saw it firsthand.
A
Yeah. There are whole areas like Manchester, England, for example, that are totally ruled by Sharia law at this point. And you guys, I mean, we're talking about the UK but wow, it's happening here, too, really fast. Definitely areas like New York and some other states that you just would never have even thought. I heard something about someone doing Prayers piped in somewhere in Florida. And I thought, in Florida? Where in the world? So, you know, it really is. And then don't forget. But I try to remind everybody all the time, just for perspective, some 32 mosques built in Texas in the last two years.
B
Well, and don't forget Dearborn, Michigan, where we talked about the call to prayer going on, what is it? Five times a day, I believe. And there's certain areas in Dearborn where you can actually hear in the streets what's going on. I mean, freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Okay, great. But, like, to me, there has to be a little bit more. How do I say this? I'm trying to.
C
I don't.
B
Maybe I shouldn't be diplomatic about it. Look, there are people within the Muslim community that want to change America fundamentally. That's the truth. And we better be on the lookout.
A
There's one real fundamental thing that I think is really important. The difference of our religious texts. The Bible is very clear in the Ten Commandments, whether you're Jewish or Christian. Thou shalt not lie. That's really clear. My understanding is that, you know, Islam teaches very, very distinctly that you are to lie for Allah. So how do you set up a. How do you set up a judicial system based on that? I mean, think about it for a moment. You're not going to swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. You put your hand on the Quran, what are you swearing? That you're going to uphold what the Quran says in terms of you will lie for Allah if you think it is what Allah wants. I mean, that just. That's just. That's the really scary part that seems very incompatible to me.
B
I'm sorry. Not to kind of hog the conversation. Can I just say one last thing? I mean, this is the problem sometimes, obviously, in Middle east wars when you're dealing with radical Islamic terrorism, because, you know these folks, the mullahs in Iran, victory for them is dying. So. So. So that's the way they see it. They think, like I said, they're going to heaven and they're gonna have 77 or whatever. How many virgin? 144. I've lost track. Virgins around them in this wonderful place. You know what? This just in, you're going to hell. But the point is, is that they think this is a glorious thing. How do you reason with that?
A
Dying and killing.
B
How do you reason with that? Right, Exactly.
A
They can die all they want. I'm not going to tell anybody what they can and can't do. But you killing I have a problem with. Yeah.
B
And I don't want them to go to hell, by the way. I want them to be saved, to know Jesus Christ as their lord and savior. I want to be clear, I'm not trying to hate on Muslims.
G
Yeah, it doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense. All right, good discussion as always. Coming up, as faith declines in Britain, some are sounding the alarm. A new poll suggests some believe moving away from Christianity could mean losing key moral and cultural foundations. What will this all lead to? We take a look. Next on American Sunrise.

Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's now time for our moment of faith, which is brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible in focus today. Some Britons say that moving further away from Christianity could harm future generations. A new Whitestone poll suggests that some people believe the country risks losing important moral and cultural foundations as faith declines. In recent years, the United Kingdom has seen a sharp drop in people identifying as Christian, with more now saying that they have no religion at all. Supporters say Christian values have long shaped British society and warn that abandoning them could have lasting consequences for the nation's future. Let's bring in evangelist, pastor and the founder of Revival Today, Jonathan Shuttlesworth, to talk a bit more about this. Jonathan, the key word that was used in this particular survey is religion. Do you think that what we're seeing in Britain and potentially could see here in the United States is the result of people having religion, something that they simply do on a consistent basis as opposed to having a relationship and a lifestyle that includes Jesus.
E
Well, you made a good distinction, but
B
in England, they have neither.
E
I would settle for people having just a religion. You have.
B
How do you have the nation that
E
sent missionaries all over the world and now Those churches have 1200 seats and like 11 people on Sunday. It's. It's brutal what's happened to the UK
B
And I, I've got a lot of friends that are in ministry there.
E
I'm not bashing it, but they're, they're not seeing a decline if, if they don't have a massive move of God.
B
That nation, like you were talking last
E
segment is finished because you don't get
B
a choice to have a secular state. If Christianity moves out, Islam moves in.
E
And Islam is not good as, as
B
everybody sees on the news.
E
Think of this. I have a friend that does his
B
work mostly in Northern Ireland.
E
Northern Ireland is Now less than 2%
B
Christian and United Arab Emirates is 13 to 14 Christian.
E
So you actually have like a groundswell
B
of Christianity in places where it used to not exist. And Europe, for God knows what reason, and Canada as well, have decided to turn their back on God. And something's got to change.
C
Absolutely. You turn your back on God. While God is ever faithful, he may also turn his back or at least make an example of nations out there. Always good to see you, Jonathan. Appreciate your time, my friend.
E
Good to see you, Terrence.
B
Have a great day.
C
You as well. Tell your dad I said hello. By the way, this is not Jonathan Shuttlesworth. He's Mr. Shuttlesworth's son. That's your new nickname around here. Good to see you, brother.
H
That's right.
E
See ya.
B
All right.
C
Be sure to tune into Revival today with Jonathan this Sunday morning. It's going to be at 9:00 right here on RAV. We're back with the second hour of American Sunrise right after this.
A
All right, y'.
E
All.
A
Coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise, US And Israeli combat operations continue as Iran now says it will target the economic interests of both countries in the region. But there's still no word from Supreme Leader Khamenei. We have updates on that conflict throughout the hour. Plus, former Vice President Kamala Harris canceling a string of tour dates as critics slammed the failed president candidate over mounting security costs. We're gonna have that story as well. You won't believe it. Also later, our own David Brody had a chance to sit down with Texas Senator Ted Cruz for an interview covering a variety of topics. We're gonna roll that clip for you later on in the hour as well. These stories, so much more. Second hour of American Sunrise coming at you right now.
B
Good morning, America.
A
Welcome to AMERICAN Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.

We have to protect the American family.
A
The American dream is still alive.
B
I'm David Brody.
C
I'm terrence.
A
And I'm Dr. Gina.
B
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G in West Pollan T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning to both of you. I don't know if I have anything pithy to say, and I normally always have something pithy to say. Good morning, Gina.
A
Good morning.
B
Oh, and Terrence, that's it.
C
Good morning, David.
B
I've got no more material. I'm out. All right.
C
Well, how about this then? Let me get to headlines really quickly. That'll buy you about a minute and a half to think of something. How about that?
B
I'll think of something.
C
The cost. There you go. I figured you would. The cost of the war in Iran continues to mount as the Pentagon says the first week of combat operations cost about $11.3 billion. In the meantime, as oil prices spiked as a result of the war, the International Energy Agency Agency says it will release the largest volume of emergency oil reserves in its history in order to soften the blow that the war is having on energy markets. The United States will also dip into its oil reserves. As of Wednesday, the price of Brent crude oil and the international standard was up about 20% from before war prices. The Trump administration is reportedly considering easing sanctions on Russian oil in order to lower global oil prices as well. The idea was addressed when representatives of the Trump administration met with Russian President Vladimir Putin's top economic adviser in Florida on Wednesday. You see the convoy here. The US Delegation was led by Steve Witkoff, President Trump's son in law Jared Kushner, and White House senior adviser John Grunbaum. Witkoff says the two sides have agreed to stay in touch. And the FBI is out with a warning to law enforcement across California saying that Iran could target the American homeland with drones. In its bulletin, the bureau writes, quote, we recently acquired information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United States. The warning Spirit specifically names California as a target That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast with Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony. She's got your hometown forecast. Tracy, good morning.
G
Hey, good morning. We were chatting in the getter chat about New Jersey. Tom was saying we haven't mentioned New Jersey in a while. So we're heading out to Clifton, New Jersey for your hometown forecast.
H
Remarks.
C
I had a smart alec remark that probably would have gotten us in trouble. So I'll keep it to myself. Sorry, Tracy, go ahead.
G
No, I love it. I want to hear maybe type it in the getter chat. Terrence, 54 degrees today. We are going to be back in the 60s, though, for Monday. So we're trending above average overall here for New Jersey. That's some good news. We're going to be warming up out west as Terrence and I mentioned earlier, but want to take you out to Alaska. This is another one from getter. Robbie Dale, 17 Degrees is your high today and you are still in the single digits dropping sub zero overnight lows through next week. Bundle up. And while we're out west, want to show you one other thing. We've been talking a lot about rain. We've been talking a lot about snow as we're in spring. But this is Kilauea, Hawaii, as it was raining ash as Kilauea has had another eruption in this latest period. But look at that. Just I don't know what I would do if I saw ash raining from the sky. I would probably get doomsday. Think of that movie Dante's Peak. And that has scared me for my whole life. Terrence.
C
Yeah, that, that, that's a little. Oh, look at that video. While I like paradise, I don't like paradise that much. To go where there's an erupting too much paradise. Absolutely. Way too much paradise. Thanks so much. Appreciate it. All right, let's get you over to David now. David, good morning.
B
Good morning. T. Bates. Okay, the war in the Middle east is expanding as Hezbollah and Iran are launching major coordinated attacks on Israel from Lebanon, a lot of them Hezbollah firing waves of rockets and drones into northern Israel, while Iran's Revolutionary Guard says it took also took part in a joint operation targeting more than 50 sites, including military bases near Haifa, Tel Aviv and Beersheba. This comes as President Trump says the Islamist regime is on its last legs. Here was the president yesterday. They are pretty much at the end of the line. Doesn't mean we're going to end it
C
immediately, but they are.
E
They've got no Navy, they've got no
B
air force, they've got no anti air traffic, anything. They have no systems of control. We're just riding free range over that country. And now we're going to look very strongly at the Straits. The Straits are in great shape. We've knocked out all of their boats.
D
They have some missiles, but not very many. I think we're in very good.
C
We're in very good shape.
B
I'm sorry, I know it's an aside, but he cracks me up. The straits, not the straight up, just the straits, like the dire straits. Joining us now with analysis is former National Security Council chief of staff under President Trump. That would be Alexander Gray. Alexander, good morning. Tell us about the straits. The President says Iran is at the end of the line. What is your take on all of this? Good morning to you.
H
Yeah, thanks for having me. The president's right, look, he made it very clear when this started what he considered success. Right. Success is the nuclear program, the missile program, the terrorist proxies, the drone capability in the Navy and all those metrics. This operation has been extraordinarily successful. I think the president's right that we don't want to decide right now. It's over in a day, it's over in a week. He's got to make these decisions based on operational facts on the ground. But the big picture metrics that he set from day one that would define success right now, all of those are trending in the direction of an overwhelming American victory.
C
So you've laid out the metrics, and I think most reasonable people would agree that the objectives have been reached or largely reached. But what next? That seems to be the lingering question. And what next is typically cloaked in the whole idea of leadership. How will leadership look moving forward?
H
Yeah, it's a great question. I think that the President has thrown out what I think is a very good paradigm, which is, you know, what I call the Venezuela Delsey Rodriguez paradigm, where you have a leader that we may not like, may not be a good person, may not be who we want to work with in a perfect world, but a leader who is willing to make a kind of a look at the options and to say it's in my best interest, in the best interests of the people around me to cooperate with the United States and to listen to what President Trump has to say, say when I make decisions that may not be, again, not perfect world. But I think when we look at the potential options here, I think if the President can find someone in the current Iranian leadership system who's willing to play ball with him and to not immediately focus on reconstituting these metrics that I just went through. Someone who's willing, frankly, to allow us to not spend another couple of years focusing on Iran is willing to make Iran a normal country in the region. I think that would be the best possible scenario. Now, Terrence, look, if we get to a point where that's just not going to be possible, where the president would have to commit us to another couple of weeks, couple of months in order to maybe get that type of leadership, you could see a scenario where the president says, look, we've accomplished a lot of operational successes. It's time to just move on. I can see that working as well. I think that's the big question is is he going to continue to try and fight for a leadership that might be more amenable to our interests, or is he just going to say, we've accomplished a lot, it's time to go? I think either of those are respectable positions.
A
Okay, Alexander, while this is happening, the region is still recovering from Israel's defensive war against Hamas in Gaza. We're learning now that talks to advance President Trump's plans for the region have been on hold since last week following Gulf Arab states pledging billions of dollars to rebuild Gaza. What concerns does this raise for Israel right now?
H
Well, look, I think obviously Israel wants to have a permanent solution to the Gaza situation where Gaza can't be used as a base to harm Israel and to be Hamas's a place of reconstitution. The good news here, Gina, is that the president's, you know, the president threw the Abraham Accords and then Iran's horrible miscalculation of attacking Gulf Arab states. I think that will go down as one of the worst strategic miscalculations in modern strategic history. I think what that has done is it's opened the door post conflict for the Gulf Arab states in Israel to have an even closer collaboration, whether that's through the Abraham Accords, whether that's through another mechanism. And I think ultimately that's going to be really important in the rebuilding of Gaza and making sure that Gaza does not return to being a base for terrorist attacks on Israel. So over the medium term, I'm pretty bullish that we're going to be able to have a positive situation in the Middle east and in Gaza, frankly, in large part due to Iran's horrible strategic miscalculation.
B
Hey, Alexander, we still haven't seen or heard anything from Iran's new supreme leader, Mustafa Khamenei, where is he? I mean, is he like Carmen Sandiego? Where in the world is he? Exactly. And, and this cardboard cutout stuff, you've seen this online. Do you think that's AI? Have you heard about this? Like, they literally have a. I mean, it literally looks like AI. We won't post it because I haven't gotten any independent confirmation that that is real, that they put a cardboard cutout of this guy because he's not appearing in public. What's your sense of that? And by the way, while we're at it with the mullahs, I mean, the danger of going to war in the Middle east is that it's whack a mole over there. And with emphasis on the whack, as in wacky. I mean, you know, you kill these folks and they come back, there's like radical mullahs all over the place. I understand there's a secular society more than radical Muslim society, but they are just in the weeds waiting to come back.
H
Yeah, I couldn't agree with you more. And I do think if we're looking for a sustainable leadership structure over there that's willing to play ball with us again, kind of a Venezuela model, it's probably not going to be a cleric. It's probably going to be someone from the conventional Iranian army. It's probably going to be someone who has a different background. I mean, here's the reality. The ayatollahs, the clericy, they are radicals, they are fundamentalists. They believe things in their heart of hearts that are just antithetical to working with the United States. It's hard for me to imagine a scenario where you find a cleric who we can do business with. That being said, look, I have no doubt that between Israel and the United States, we know where this guy is. I think the president is probably doing his best through back channels will be my guess to come up with some sort of, you know, at least get a sense of whether this guy is going to do business with us. My guess is he won't. But knowing how President Trump operates, the president likes to give diplomacy and likes to give conversation every opportunity before he makes the decision to go in the other direction. And again, I think at a certain point, you kind of have to say, look, we've tried to find a regime that is more compatible with our interests, but if that's just not doable, a victory is still, and I should say a tremendous victory is still what we have been able to do in such a short period to the missile program. The nuclear program, the drone program, the Navy and the proxies, that alone is a tremendous success. And if we have to just walk away with that having been accomplished, I still think the president will own a very significant foreign policy win.
C
Hey, Alexander. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I just really want to clear. So you say if we were to end today, it would be victory. And is that victory really rooted in the fact that we've pushed back Iranians nuclear ambitions and their missile launching capabilities simply for decades? Is that really victory even though the ideology remains?
H
Yeah, it's such an interesting question, Terence. I mean, you ultimately, what the president has to sit there and do is he's got to do cost benefit. And I think that the cost of continuing to engage here when we have so many other threats, we have limited resources in order to fight an ideology like we just talked about that is so embedded in parts of the, of the clericy and the ruling regime to continue to commit to doing that for an extended period, I think that just probably is not worth the expenditure of treasure and blood over. You know, again, I think the president's going to have to come to that conclusion over the next couple of weeks. I would still say that by setting back all of these programs and degrading their capabilities in these key metrics, even if it's for six months, even if it's for a year, that is still a big American victory, even if that's where we draw a line.
B
All right. Okay. Alexander Gray, appreciate your time. By the way, pro tip Toba Khamenei. Don't have an A pager in your hand, it could explode. Thank you, sir. I appreciate it.
H
Thank you, David.
B
All right, I got to say it. T. Bates. Coming up, Kamala Harris is canceling multiple stops on her California book tour with organizers citing a scheduling conflict. But the move is also raising questions about taxpayer funded security. The facts after the break.
G
Welcome back to America. Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily Finn. Time now to drain the swamp. And this morning we are once again flushing out Kamala Harris. Former vice president Kamala Harris is suddenly canceling multiple stops on her book tour in California. Ticket holders in Sacramento, San Diego and Anaheim were notified this week that their events next month promoting Harris new memoir, 107 Days, have been scrapped with organizers citing a scheduling conflict. The cancellations come as questions are also being raised about taxpayer funded security for the tour with dozens of California Highway Patrol officers reportedly assigned to protect the former vice president as she travels. We want to know what you, our viewers Think about this. Let us know on rumble or getter. Hop on and let your voice be heard. Coming up on American Sunrise. Marco Island, Florida, good morning. A live look at the parking lot there then and again, when temperatures are what they are in Florida and when you're in paradise, even a parking lot can be a place of comfort for you. Welcome back, everyone. We're getting ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's set to ring here in just a little bit. Here are the futures. A
Well, you know, so we come to work in the dark, right? And so it always feels like it's going to be cold. So I always feel like I should be bundling up. But then I walk out of work and it's always muggy and sultry and so I don't know what the temperature is, Terrence, but it's warm.
C
Yeah, it's warm. I would trade places with you any moment. I know you like the snow and you like skiing. You know, anytime you want to come here and let me hang out on the couch, I'm more than happy.
A
I Am I'm coming there the end of this month to do some skiing. So I'll be stopping by to see you there. Definitely.

Very good.
D
All right.
C
Very good.
A
All right, Terrence. Well, listen, there's so much attention right now on weight loss, drugs and so much focus on the number on the bathroom scale. But what if the scale is actually the wrong thing to focus upon? Well, today we're talking about a different way to think about getting in shape. A way to look leaner, firmer and more toned and get this without increasing exercise or dieting. Joining us today is Dr. Nasira Burkholder Cooley and she wants to talk to us about a new non prescription product called Creatone designed specifically for women who want to look more in shape without adding workouts or stricter diets to to their lives. Doctor, glad to have you. Thanks for being with us. If someone loses 5 pounds of fat but gains 5 pounds of muscle, the bathroom scale shows the exact same number, but they usually look better, firmer, leaner, in better shape generally. So does that show why focusing only on the scale can actually be pretty misleading? Absolutely. The scale only measures weight. It doesn't actually tell us about body composition. And what most people really want isn't a lower number on the scale, but they want to see their body look tighter and firmer and more toned. And that's why there are more health practitioners shifting this conversation away from how many pounds you've lost and really on how the body looks and feels. Yeah, for me, it's all about how it feels in my clothes. And I can tell £1. I can tell when I put on a pair of pants, I'm like, oh, yeah. But I'm going to admit that I am a habitual and obsessive scale stepper. I'm going to just confess that right now. And maybe you have a 14 step program for me or something. But people start their day stepping on the scale like me. Studies suggest that weighing yourself every day can actually increase anxiety, lower self esteem and contribute to depression. That tells you a lot. Doctors today are de emphasizing pounds loss and focusing instead really on body composition. So tell us more about that kind of thinking and what's behind this. I think that the fixation on weight is misleading. And with something like creatine, where it's a compound that's naturally synthesized in the body, our muscles use it to make
G
quick energy for intense activities.
A
And it does something else that's really interesting and that is that it helps our muscles actually store more energy in the muscle cell itself. When that happens, we see muscles become more full and more firm. And when they become more firm, the body will look tighter and usually leaner and more in shape, even if that number on the scale hasn't changed. And even better, a lot of people can see that changing without amplifying their diet efforts or adding more exercise. And women in particular store about 20 to 30% less creatine than men. So women will often notice these visual benef when they add creatine to their routines. And what types of body changes can women expect to see when they add creatine to their daily routines? And also, I'm assuming this is related to creatine. Correct. Creatine is a product that contains a very pure form of creatine monohydrate, possibly the most pure form that exists. It's produced in Germany. It has superior quality and performance.
G
And additional ingredients in creaton are hmb,
A
that's a compound that's known to aid in muscle recovery. And then vitamin D, which supports female metabolism. So this is a very specific creatine product designed for women. So the doctor that designed it was focusing on a product for women in particular. A lot of people I know just get burned out dieting and working out in this cycle and then you gain it back and you don't even know how you did it. And then it takes you 10 times as long to lose it as it did to gain it. So tell us about how creatine can fit into average everyday life routine without adding pressure or complexity to it. Certainly I think there's a lot of women who feel like, I already work out.
G
I really don't have more time to
A
dedicate to the gym. I'm already strict with my diet. I don't want to do something more extreme. And creatone is a product that can support the muscles in what you're already doing and allow them to look firmer and more toned without adding more dieting or exercise. So for women who want to look better and more in shape, creatine is a great product. And how is it used? Like, what's the process of it? It's a powder. You take one scoop a day. It's a five gram dose and five grams is the typical dose for daily use. And how you can mix it in water or another beverage. Tell us about the taste. It's flavorless. So I would recommend if you already do a smoothie in the morning, you could add it to that. Or you could add it to milk, juice or even water. Okay. And if somebody listening Likes the idea of focusing on less on the scale and more on looking leaner. Where can they learn more about creatone and try it for themselves? The easiest place to learn more or purchase is going to tonetoday.com and there's a special discount code right now for
G
20% off the first order.
A
And that's a discount code. Rav. All right. Sounds amazing. And I love that you put, you added the enhancements, uptake enhancers I call them. I don't know what it means, but it just makes it all some things work together better with other things and I love that you added those right into the mix. So I'm not having to mix in 3, 4, 5 things because I just feel like that's all I do these days is mix supplements and peptides. Definitely simplifies. There's a synergistic effect of these ingredients and they all help support the female body. Dr. Nasir Burkholder Cooley, thank you so much for being with us. My pleasure. Thanks for having me. Absolutely. Remember to go to tonetoday.com, use the promo code RAV. That'll give you 20% off. That's a lot on your first order. And a one month supply for just you guys that is inexpensive for this stuff. I buy all this stuff, so I know this is a really good price. So let's head back to Terrence in Denver. He might want to try this creatone. I'm thinking he might like it tone up a little bit. We have the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange and it's sponsored by amac.

C
Well, the applause is underway at the New York Stock Exchange, which means the bell is going to ring here in short order. And then we'll get an idea of how this day of trading ultimately turns out. Looks like MDA is at the podium this morning. They get to do the honors. And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The bell is now ringing, which means the markets are officially open. And those first drain, those first trades. Excuse me, are being rendered. Here's a quick look at our board. As you can see, the Dow and S&P 500 are in the red right now. The good news is the NASDAQ is up. That's the tech heavy index. It is up at the moment. And the rest of our board looking pretty good. Oil is up. Which of course we've been talking about for quite some time as a result of the war in Iran. That also means that gas prices, prices are up pretty significantly. But if you've invested low and now you're able to sell a little bit higher, then oil being up is a good thing for you. Still to come here on American Sunrise, our very own David Brody had a chance to sit down with Texas Senator Ted Cruz. We'll show you some of what that conversation entailed next.

Well, okay.
B
Oh, hello. Well, Cheetah hugging my airtime.
C
What's going on?
B
I want a refund. Welcome back. A refund? That doesn't even make any sense. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. I'm David Brody, she's Gina Loud, and she'll be here in just a moment. Thanks for joining us this morning. We invite you, by the way, to join the conversation on Getter and Rumble. All right, time now to take the political pulse of America. Here is the beat today. Oh, it's narcissistic. I had the opportunity to sit down with Ted Cruz. That would be the Texas senator. Yesterday in his office on Capitol Hill, we did a 40 minute interview. We had the chance to talk about a variety of topics, including the ongoing conflict in Iran. Lots to report there. Now, on a separate note, I asked the senator about ongoing division on the right, including his recent comments about Tucker Carlson. Have a look. You've been very outspoken, obviously about Tucker Carlson. He's been outspoken about you for sure. Look, you say you're going to take him on directly. I want to know what that looks like specifically. But more than that, you're calling out Republicans overall to say, hey, it's time say his name. Let me ask you a bit of an uncomfortable question. JD Vance is good friends with Tucker Carlson. I get the friendship part of it. But he has not talked about this. Do you think he should?
D
Look, everyone's going to have to decide where they stand.
B
I believe Ronald Reagan in 1964 gave a very famous speech, a time for choosing, and I think this is a time for choosing is silence, complicity.
D
I will say a decade ago, when
B
antisemitism began rising in the left, the Democrat leadership did nothing.
D
They looked the other way and it's consumed their party. I mean, there is a very real pro Hamas contingent in the Democrat Party.
B
In the last year and a half, I have seen more antisemitism on the right than at any point in my life. And it is dangerous and it risks consuming our party. I don't want us to make the same mistake Democrat leaders made a decade ago of just to look the other
D
way and to be silent.
B
So much for the Reagan in the background, the Reagan portrait being subliminal. Joining us now with reaction is the host of America's Voice Live and the Steve Gruber Show. That would be Steve Gruber. Steve, what do you think of Ted Cruz's comments? Does this need to be addressed? He clearly thinks it does and needs to be stamped out immediately. Good morning to you, sir.
D
Good morning, David. Look, I tend to lean to the I don't care what other hosts are saying column. You know, I don't think we need this infighting. You know, look, I get his point, but I would ask this question of Tucker Carlson. How do you own land in Qatar? Non Muslims are not allowed to own land in Qatar. Yet in December of last year, he announced that he was buying land and owning land. And how is that, David? That'd be my only question. I think we have a lot more productive things to do with our day. Go ahead.
A
Yeah. What'd he say?
B
I asked that. I asked that question. He says he should be investigated. That that is, we will play that as well. He says that Tucker should be investigated for it. I asked. I said, you mean a congressional investigation? He kind of punted that a little bit. But he said, look, he needs to. This all needs to be looked into. I mean, a sitting senator calling for Tucker Carlson to be investigated over his financial foreign ties is news, Steve.
D
Now it would be news. And that's the only question I have. December 25th, he bought property there. My understanding is non Muslims cannot own property in Qatar. So how could that possibly happen? That'd Be the only question. I think we have a lot more productive things to discuss than what one talking head says on another network about something else. Look, I am a pure free speech purist. I am. He can say whatever he wants. He can have whatever guess he wants. Not my side of the street. He can work his side of the street. I'll work mine. All right? But I do believe in free speech. And because, as my mother taught me, free speech is important for this reason. And. And I go back to the. To. You want to talk about anti Semitism, which he mentioned there. The Klan marching in Illinois in 1977. I said to my mother, it was a Supreme Court decision. Then Skokie, Illinois, the Klan got a permit to parade, and there was about 15 or 20 of these mongrels out there parading through Illinois, whatever. And I said, that's terrible, Mom. Why would the Supreme Court do that? And she said, quite simply, because in order to understand where you stand, you have to hear from everybody. The people you like, the people you don't like, the people you're not sure about, they have to talk and put themselves on the record. And therefore, free speech is been ingrained in me since I was about 12 years old. I believe in it. I don't have to agree with people, but it tells me where people stand.
B
Let me just say. And Gina, Terence, I'd be curious to get your takes on this in terms of a pushback to that. Ted Cruz and many others, including myself, are not saying anything about free speech. Nick Fuentes, Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, all. They could say whatever they want. No one's trying to deplatform. I'm not trying to deplatform them. Knock yourself out. What he's talking about specifically is for Republican voices, conservative, influential voices, to speak up and say something in rebuttal to this rather than being silent. So it's not about free speech and muzzling their free speech. It's about speaking up on your own about that. That's the issue. Gina. Terrence, go ahead. Sorry. I just wanted to kind of get that out.
A
I think maybe a lot of people are still listening and formulating ideas. You know, I don't have a lot to say on this. I really don't, because I am really trying hard to listen. Despite all of the inflammatory language, despite all of the rhetoric on both sides of this. I'm really trying to listen. I simply can't get to. We just decide to label and marginalize and call people names every single time. Maybe they don't like a foreign leader or they don't want to send more money to a country to me that's not label worthy. However, I can absolutely not understand citing with terrorists ever. I just, I don't understand that. Or buying property in Qatar, like you said, Steve, I don't understand that. So. But I listen and I'm trying to listen and I'm trying to read and I'm trying to hold it up to world history and I'm trying to make a decision before I talk. David so maybe that's the reason why people aren't rebutting as quickly, because they're really trying to listen and understand before taking all the approaches that those who are talking who maybe do know something. But I don't want to talk just to talk. So that's the reason I'm not talking. I don't know about you, Terrence, but that's the reason why I'm listening to ideas on both sides and trying to formulate an opinion. But until I have a really strongly historically biblically rooted opinion, I'm not going to say something sycophantish just to agree with this person or agree with that person because I like them.
G
Right.
C
Well, well, Steve, to bring your comments about free speech full circle, you said that your mom kind of taught you that free speech is so important because you know where people stand. And I would tend to agree with you on that, on that issue. But at the same time, there's also a responsibility that comes with free speech, and there's a responsibility that you push back against things. And again, this is also your right in terms of, of free speech, that when you hear something that you feel may not necessarily speak to the values of your community, you push back against that. Specifically, if you're a lawmaker and an elected official, I'd like to get your thoughts on that idea.
D
I agree with that. I did not support the Nazis and their push for whatever they were pushing for there in Skokie, Illinois, 1977. I stand against anti Semitism. I stand against racism. It's pretty clear conservatives stand for people. I look out a crowd. I don't see victims. I see opportunities, but I don't know there's any. I'm going to agree with Dr. G here. I listen to what these people have to say. Is it worthy of me weighing in on every time one of these people says something that is potentially foolish or off color or out of sync? Maybe, maybe not. But I think there are bigger fish to fry today. Bigger concerns we have, whether it's the border, what we're doing in Iran, what's happening with voting rights and the SAVE Act? I think those are more important issues. I do. And if Ted Cruz and Tucker Carlson are going to have a food fight, that's interesting, I might watch for a few moments. But I've got more important things to do with my day than waste time on that. It's not impacting Donald Trump's popularity. It's not impacting the popularity of socialist programs for the Democrats. And those are the things that matter come November of 2026. And those are the things I think we should be focused on. How do we move this country forward? How do we make it safer? How do we deal with what's happening in Iran? How do we deal with our border? How do we deal with the price of electricity and groceries? These are things that matter to me and matter to people in my community. Do people here care what Tucker Carlson said about this or that or who his guest was? Not really. Do they care about what a senator from Texas says about a guy saying something on his podcast? Not really. And that's where I come down. Look, I listen. It's kind of morbid curiosity sometimes. Do I think that some of that stuff has become untethered on these podcasts from some of these people that were former Trump supporters and so forth? I do. But again, we've got more important things to discuss and deal with than that in my estimation. And that's why I'm with Gina. I listen, but I don't spend a lot of time with it.
B
I think there's a long term view here. I know we have to run. I do think there's a long term view here. If you care about all that stuff, Steve, I would suggest that none of that will matter. The Save America act and all that stuff won't matter if the Republicans aren't in power. And this has a possibility. There's a chance.
D
Well, I have good news.
B
Can I have good news?
D
Tucker Carlson doesn't get to decide who's in power.
B
But that's not what I'm saying. Let me just finish the point. The point is, is that Cruz is saying this could split the Republican Party. And I think he's right because the young Gen Z is there. It's not just Gen Z, but it's folks 35 or under. And if you split the evangelical vote within the Republican Party, you got a numbers problem. And when you have a numbers problem inside the Republican Party, that gives the Democrats a lane to capitalize. That's the point politically.
D
So you believe that Tucker Carlson with his podcast has the power to split the Republican Party in half.
B
No, I think that's absurd. Nick Fuentes, Candace Owens and I can go down the list. They got young Gen Zers listening to all of that stuff and it's infiltrated the church. And I think it's going to possibly split the evangelical vote even 5% or so at the margins. And if you do that, the Republican Party's in trouble. That's what I think.
A
But I'm not sure, David, that calling these people out, calling them names, you know, marginalizing them with whatever power we have on the other side is the answer either. Because the question comes down to this. Are they going to vote for socialists in the midterms? And if the answer to that is no, let's focus on the midterms. I agree with Steve.
B
Well, I just think, look at that. Most of the time it's a base election and if you have some of your base not showing up because of this, that could be a problem for Republicans. That's all I'm saying.
A
Yeah.
B
Interesting thoughts.
C
Definitely. Interesting.
B
Well, we'll continue. All right, Steve, thanks for being here.
C
Good to see you.
D
Appreciate it. Thank you very much.

B
All right,
A
guys are getting.
B
I always get caught.
A
That's some snazzy music there. All right. Welcome back to american sunrise. I'm doctor with us this morning. It is time now for the one to watch. Here's what I'm keeping my eye on today. A democrat on capitol hill now trying to appeal directly to the make America healthy again movement and taking aim at the new farm bill. Congressman mcgovern saying he agrees with maha supporters angry about the state of America's food system and says big agra has too much power in our political system. However, mcgovern says the farm bill betrays the maha movement. Take a at.
D
Look, I'm a democrat.
E
I know we don't agree on everything,
D
but I think we share some common ground because I share your outrage. I think it is wrong that ultra processed junk is cheaper than fresh food. And I'm sick and tired of big ag profiting off pesticides while small family farms get squeezed out of business. I'm disgusted by corporations pumping toxins into
E
our air and water.
D
Chronic disease and cancer are skyrocketing while our government cheers them on.
E
And I believe the direction this farm
D
bill is going, the direction this country is going under republican leadership is a betrayal of maha.
A
Okay, you guys, this makes me so excited. Here's why. Because I have said from the very beginning this issue of health, right, it unifies us with the granola moms over there on the left. It gets me so excited when I think about it because this is a conversion issue. This is something that brings us together. And when republicans champion this, we win. I love this.
B
David, you were ahead of the curve on this. And you know what? It paid dividends in 2024 when Trump won. Cuz that MAHA movement that we all know well about now, you were shouting from the rooftops about this saying this is Common sense mom. Suburban mom stuff, if you will. And you are right. And because it crosses lines. It's not Republican, it's not Democrat, it's not independent. It's all. All three, for sure. And everybody in between, by the way. And let's just be clear, Congressman Jim McGovern, who's been there like since 1643, even before the Brits had America, okay, this guy is not a Democrat. He's a far left Democrat. And that's what he's saying. A Democrat from Massachusetts. I know Jim McGovern well, I don't really know him, but I know his policies. This guy's off the reservation. And yet he can come to agreement on Maha stuff. Gina, that's your point?
A
That's my point.
C
Yeah. No, Health is wealth. And many Americans, particularly those suburban moms that you were talking about, are willing to invest in their health. And that means their food source sources. We often talk about how kitchen table issues really decide elections. And let's just be honest. Excuse me, our food supply is a kitchen table issue. Whether we're consuming. Whether we're consuming healthy foods. Those are kitchen table items. The fact that my wife. Huge person, you know, I'm one of those people, I eat and drink whatever. She's like, oh, my God, there's so much coloring. Don't buy that. The girls will not drink that. And I'm like, okay, this is something that resonates with her and the fact that she is so adamant about it. This is a winning issue. It's an issue that you can campaign on and an issue that anyone, no matter the party, can get all. Can get on board with.
A
Tamara.
C
So you're right, Tamara, he did not
A
mean to call you a huge person. He meant to call you a huge health person, not a huge person.
C
That's what I mean.
A
I'm just settling your marital. It starts tonight. Yes. You know, I learned this when my husband sponsored the midwifery bill. Midwifery was illegal. It was a felony in the state of Missouri. When my husband did that.
B
Oh, wow.
A
There were women from. It was before my husband changed that flipped it on its head. Whole other story. But I learned this because it was the issue that bridged moms on the far left and moms on the far right. It's literally at the bottom of that little continuum circle right there. But here, I'm going to take this one step further. I'm going to make another prediction. Are you guys ready for me to have a Babe Ruth moment and just point. It's this. Dogs people are losing their dogs. We need to transfer the MAHA movement of people and take it into the animal and pet world. All the things addressing that. They put MRNA and dog vaccines, the heartworm pills, the kibble. It's all killing our pets. And I'm telling you, when you bring pets, you really get that. The leftist and the right. Just wait, you guys. It's next. All right.
B
Make pets great again.
A
Make pets healthy again. I don't even know. We will see you guys tomorrow. War Room is up next. Go boldly now. Live the truth. We'll see you for freedom Friday show tomorrow.
D
I don't hate nobody? I just won't kneel? I don't chase headlines?
C
I live.
