Just ahead on American sunrise, the US military preparing for a major move. 3000 elite 82nd Airborne troops could be deployed to the Middle east soon as tensions have spiked with Iran. What does this mean for us? Well, we have the latest. Plus, Ukrainian President Zelensky sounds the alarm accusing Moscow of feeding Iran intelligence is deeper. Russia, Iran cooperation taking shape. And what could it mean for US Interests? Also, a fiery new flashpoint on the View facing blowback after saying there will be people who celebrate when President Trump dies. We have the fallout from that and more as American Sunrise starts right now.
David Brody
Good morning, America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Terrence Bates

Terrence Bates
Madame. Good morning, David. Good morning.
David Brody
Why am I saluting both of you? Hello.
Terrence Bates
Hello. Hey, look. Good news. We will see each other probably later this afternoon. Evening. God willing. God willing and TSA lines willing for sure. By tomorrow morning, we will all be together and I'm looking forward to it. Big hugs coming to both of you. So you know it's because I love you, not because I'm trying to get handsy or anything like that so looking forward to seeing both of you.
David Brody
CPAC in Dallas. We're looking forward to it.
Dr. Gina
You just never know how Terrace is going to start off the show. You just literally the wildest of wild cards every day. Like, wait, what is Terrence going to say today?
David Brody
I mean, there could be a bunch of fluid. We don't know.
Terrence Bates
Yeah. If it makes you guys feel any better, there are days I'm not so sure. It just kind of comes out. I go with the gut. I've got a well developed gut, so I tend to trust it. Hey, so look, there are some big stories that we're following this morning, guys, specifically the fact that the Pentagon is set to order as many as 3,082nd Airborne soldiers who were stationed at Fort Bragg, aka Fort Liberty, over to the Middle East. Initially there were reports that was going to be a thousand, and then a couple of hours later was 2000. Now it's up to as many as 3000. The final order could come very soon. The big question this morning though, David and Dr. Gina. This mean that ground troops are going to be implemented or do you see this simply as a way to encourage Iran to accept the President's newly released 15 point cease fire plan? Dr. Gina, let's start with you.
Dr. Gina
Well, you know, I figure the President is playing 4D chess as he usually is. I figure he knows what he's doing. You are going to have though, those who have opposed this war from the beginning say, look, he ran on no new wars, he ran on no ground troops, he ran on no regime change and they're going to try to use that. And I'm concerned about the midterms, not just because of this. I think, honestly, I think if he, if he turns around and takes this and wins it as bigly as I am pretty confident he will and proves everyone wrong that this isn't going to be a forever war, then I think that could actually play to Republicans advantage in the midterms. So it's just a matter of, I think what happens next more than what's happening now. America has short memory in some ways and I think as long as everything goes well, we don't lose many more troops, if any, that kind of thing. David, then I think he could, he could really, really rock this.
David Brody
Yeah, I think so. Look, this is part of the art of the deal. Is he going to send the 82nd Airborne over there? The answer is absolutely, he is. Having said that, if it can be part of a deal to where Iran stands down and the United States gets what it wants out of it in terms of the war objectives, then mission accomplished. Now having said that, I don't think Iran's going to do that at all. So I think the 82nd Airborne will be not only deployed, but let's be clear, that is boots on the ground. They're army paratroopers. There'll be boots on the ground. And what this is all about, guys, is they're going to occupy, and that's the word, they're going to occupy Carg Island. That's why, in essence, they're going there. You cut off the economic lifeline, you cut off the oil export pipeline, if you will, at Carg island. They'll put the 82nd Airborne there. By the way, that Kharg island is about 450 miles or so from Tehran in the middle of the Persian Gulf. So you're going to put it there. That's about from New York to Detroit. That's how far it is. We're not talking about boots on the ground in Tehran, but we are talking about Carg Island. That's the key, guys.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, we're going to see how all of this works out. In the meantime, as I mentioned, that 15 point peace plan is out this morning. Pakistani officials announcing that part of it includes obviously the nuclear cessation, also some missile limits. We'll talk more about that, guys, throughout the day. But Dr. Gina, would you give us our Bible verse?
Dr. Gina
Absolutely. Today's Bible verse comes from Hebrews 12, 28, 29. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear for our God is a consuming fire. I love that image as well. Especially when you compare and contrast what it says in Hebrews with what it says in Revelation about God. And the description. I love it. Go look it up. I'm not going to cheat sheet you guys. You go look it up. You get in that Bible. All right, now, I'm just teasing you guys. Let's bring in the chairman of American Defense International, Van Hipp. Van could this move bring a faster end to the war or do you see this as an expansion of it?
Van Hipp
I think it's a fast. And by the way, I love y' all's analysis. I think all three of y' all were spot on. I think what this does, and it's not just a combat brigade, Dr. Gina from 82nd, this is also the headquarters element. The commanding General of the 82nd is actually going to deploy as well. But I think what this does is it gives President Trump all the options he needs with his 15 point peace plan if something is going to come of it. You know, by doing this, I think you put more pressure on Iran. And don't forget this past weekend, and I give credit to Mark Rute, the secretary general of NATO. 22 countries came together to say that they would work with us to open the Strait of Hormuz. There are also reports that Japan is going to send naval assets to the region and I have to believe that is their mine clearing capability. The minesweeping technology from Japan is probably the best in the world. I'm concerned that not only would Iran put more mines in the Strait of Hormuz, but how about the mines that are already there? So you have to have a minesweeping mission there. And also I do think we've done a good job of taking out a number of the missile sites all along the coastline of the Strait of Hormuz. But bottom line is I think this gives President Trump of multiple options to hopefully get this thing resolved.
David Brody
Yeah, I'm not really sold on the NATO stuff. I hear what you're saying, Van, and that is a good sign. But having said that, this is like in a baseball game. You know, the United States and Israel are winning nine nothing in the bottom of the ninth inning and then NATO decides to say, hey, you know what, we'll come in and now help. Yeah, thanks a lot. You could have done it at 00 at the top of the first. But anyhow, that's an analogy that I think is appropriate. Let me ask you about this New York Times headline here and we're talking about it this morning. The United States says to have sent Iran a plan. A plan? A plan. What am I talking about? A plan to end the Middle east war. 15 points. What do you make of this? I mean, I'll be honest with you, I'm utterly confused. This must be 7D chess at this point. I mean, who are they talking to exactly? I mean they're not talking to the cardboard Ayatollah, that's for sure. So who are they talking to? Are they talking to someone in Iran's parliament? I mean, I'm trying to understand this cuz I don't trust Iran as far as I can throw them.
Van Hipp
Of course not. Now I gotta go back to what you said about our so called friends in Europe. It reminds me of an old saying, David, we have in South Carolina. They are always there when they need you. But there are reports from the Foreign Ministry of Iran. They have come out and said that they have received messages from friendly nations. And most experts believe, in addition to Pakistan, that is Turkey and Egypt. So I think they're playing, playing a role in this. But in Channel 12 in Israel reported overnight that part of this plan would be a 30 day ceasefire to work out the rest of the deal. But nobody trust him. And President Trump knows what he's dealing with here with these folks. I got to believe that what they're thinking is if they find someone that they can deal with in the interim, don't forget the people of Iran. I would say 75% can't stand the Islamic regime, but we've got to have. And when President Trump announced Operation epic fury on February 28, he said, Stay sheltered, stay in your homes. He's not told them to come out. I think the vast majority of the people get it there in Iran. So I think they want to have some kind of framework to guarantee the safety and security of the people. If we can guarantee the safety and the security of the people, I think the numbers are there in Iran to do the right thing.
Terrence Bates
Then I feel like the most critical question in all of this is who is the administration talking with inside Iran? David alluded to it. We haven't heard from the Hamadis, have no idea where that person is, if he's even still alive. So who are they dealing with? And President Trump, even recently, as recently as Monday, use the term regime change. So is whoever they're talking with inside the Islamic State someone that they're ultimately going to instill or institute as a potential leader? There's so many questions I have about all of this.
Van Hipp
There are, and there are a lot of things coming out now suggesting that there is a rift now between the IRGC and the Mullis. So anything we can do to pour kerosene on that situation. I go back to what Razor Pahlavi said and his book Winds of Change, and he's all about self determination. I go back to the people of Iran. I think they've got to. I think they're trying to cut a deal with someone in there. And who that is, that's the $64,000 question. But trying to cut a deal with someone in there who they could work within the interim and guarantee the safety and security of the people. If we can guarantee the safety and security of those people and they're not butchered and murdered like they were before. I think the numbers are there. The numbers are there to do the right thing and to have, and to have some kind of framework for self determination like Reza Pahlavi has advocated for 20, 25 years.
David Brody
Hey Van, we have less than 30 seconds. I just a quick follow up or not I shouldn't say a follow up, a straight up question. President Trump said yesterday that they, as in Iran, has agreed to no more nukes. That they've agreed to that really? I mean they have.
Van Hipp
Yeah. And the IAEA said they got 200 kilograms of enriched uranium. Right now the only way you could have any deal work, the IAEA would have to have total access to everything. They're not going to agree to that. And also you need Americans on those inspection teams. People forget Americans have not been on the IAEA inspection teams. That is ludicrous. We pay for over 20American taxpayers pay for over 25% of the IAEA's budget. We're the biggest donor. You got to have Americans on those inspection teams. And if you don't, to me it's a non starter.
Dr. Gina
Sounds fair to me. Van Hip, thank you so much for being with us today.
Van Hipp
Great to be with you all.
Terrence Bates
Thanks Van. Good to see you.
Dr. Gina

The Trump administration is out with a 15 point ceasefire proposal to Iran. Pakistani officials say it requires a rollback of Iran's nuclear program, missile limits, as well as access for shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. In the meantime, the commander in chief putting pressure on the Islamic regime to accept his terms as he is sending thousands of paratroopers to the region. The troops are with the 82nd Airborne Division, Airborne Rangers, by the way, trained to parachute into hostile or contested territory in order to secure key sites. The deployment is scheduled to happen within days and it bolsters the military buildup in the Middle East. Thousands of Marines also headed to the war zone in order to serve in whatever capacity may be needed. The commander in Chief says his son in law, Jared Kushner and US Envoy Steve Witkoff are holding talks with an unnamed Iranian leader. But it's not. But it's not the country's supreme leader. Amid the current troop increases, Iran denies that any talks are taking place. Meantime, Democrats are continuing to try and limit President Trump's attention authority to carry out this war. On Tuesday, Senate Republicans voted down a Democrat backed war powers resolution that would have forced the commander in chief to get congressional approval before carrying out any further attacks on Iran. Just like a similar attempt to hamstring the president, this one failed along a near party line vote with Kentucky Senator Rand Paul being the only Republican to vote in favor of the measure. Pennsylvania Senator and Democrat John F. Fetterman voted no on the proposal today. Two hundred and ninety American soldiers have been wounded in the war. The US Central Command says 255 have returned to duty while about 35, excuse me, are still on action or still out of action. 10 are still considered seriously wounded. 13 service members have been killed. Speaking of the Senate, newly confirmed Homeland Security Secretary Mark Wayne Mullen is now officially on the job after being sworn into office on Tuesday. While in the Oval Office, the now former Oklahoma senator laid out a pathway to get his department funded while also getting the Save America act passed. That pathway is reconciliation, if that is
David Brody
in some form with funding ice, possibly backfilling from the one big beautiful bill, but also more importantly, the Save American Act. There's a framework that we can do through reconciliation, paying for it, put some of the policies that cost money in because there's nothing more important than say, American Act. I mean, that's what the American people want. There's 80% of the population say they want only Americans voting, citizens that are registered to vote, citizens that have done it the right way.
Terrence Bates
Even in his new position, it seems the former senator thinking legislatively. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Meteorologist Adrian Hernandez from our friends over at Weather Nation joining us this morning. What a mixed bag of weather. We've got some places dealing with heath waves, other places bracing for severe weather. Adrian?
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah, well, you know, honestly, Terrence, the heat is coming for all of us. I mean, we've been talking about these incredibly warm, warm temperatures out west. I mean, Terrence, I'm sure, you know, Denver, Colorado, actually was really, really warm yesterday. It's going to be just as hot today. And of course, that could also lead to there's a potential for severe weather. So let's talk about that really quick because also we have opening day going into tomorrow. So of course, we'll have that widespread heat. It's been really, really warm all throughout March. And of course that's going to lead to some more fire danger. So we have that critical risk across really most of Wyoming. And then again, we will have that severe weather threat across the Ohio Valley. We got plenty of opening day games going into tomorrow that could be impacted by weather. So kind of going throughout this month of March, Yuma, Arizona actually has the warmest temperature recorded in the month of March in US history. 109 degrees. What are we doing out in Yuma? 1500 daily records, 95 monthly records. So it has just been incredibly, incredibly warm all across the U.S. so all this warmth making its way out to the Ohio Valley, we have a decent chance of seeing some severe weather. With a funnel boundary making its way through games like The Chicago game, St. Louis and even Cincinnati game could potentially be impacted. So, Terrence, hopefully if you guys are getting out to that game, if anybody's getting out to the games coming into opening day, make sure not only you bring your umbrella, but have multiple ways to get alerts and know where you're going after the fact.
Terrence Bates
Well, Adrian, get ready to be recruited because you're already batting a thousand. His opening day is getting ready to get Underway. Good to see you, my friend.
Ryan Reynolds
Good to see you, too, Terrence.
Terrence Bates
Look at that swing.
David Brody
I tell you, it's all right.
Terrence Bates
It's all right. Thanks so much, Adrian. Appreciate it. We'll talk to you next hour. Up next, Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelensky says the country has evidence that Russia is sharing intelligence with Iran. Moscow has denied that this could mean. Or what could this mean? Excuse me. For US Interests, we'll break it on down. First, though, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date in 1634 that the first English colonists arrived in St. Clement's island on Maryland's Western Shore and founded St. Mary's the colony was, of course, created under a charter granted by King Charles the First to the Calvert family, and it was named for Queen Henrietta Maria Cecilius Calvert, who envisioned Maryland as a haven for English Catholics facing persecution. And the first settlers included both Catholics and Protestants who arrived aboard the Ark and the Dove. More American Sunrise coming your way in two minutes.
David Brody
God. Well, if you look closely, there's some pink trees there. That's the cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms. They're coming. They're here. Well, almost here. By the way, is Forrest Gump in that pool? Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. All right. Pentagon officials are preparing to deploy about 3,000 troops from the 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle east we talked about at the top of the show, and we'll do a lot more throughout. According to US Officials, that is the elite rapid response unit could be ordered soon as tensions with Iran escalate. Officials say no decision technically has been made putting ground troops inside Iran, but the move does signal a potential escalation of US Military operations in the region. So let's bring in retired Navy captain and GOP strategist Armin Kurdian. Armin, what does this look like exactly? How soon do you think we would see a final order? And is this about Carg Island? Is it about more than just that? What's happening? Good morning to you.
Armin Kurdian
Good morning, David, Terrence and Dr. Gina. So you could do a lot of things with that number of troops. You're not going to be able to do a mass invasion, obviously, but Carg island is certainly an option. There are other islands that are in the Gulf around that area that could be. You could use them there also, perhaps even a raid into a localized area to maybe destroy a lot of speedboats or some infrastructure and quickly disembark. Or there's. It's been suggested that they might have to paratroop into a particular area where they think they might find the radioactive materials and the nuclear materials for, for nuclear weapons, that could be extremely risky. And having them there deep in country and having to recover them, make no mistake, as badly as Iran has been mauled, that would be a very highly risky operation. So, but it's certainly within the, within the range of options.
Terrence Bates
Could this move really be about more, more about leverage, excuse me, particularly given this 15 point cease fire plan that was just handed over to Iran. Is this about leverage to try to encourage them to accept terms?
Armin Kurdian
Certainly, if they go and they occupy Iranian territories such as Kharg island where they, most of their oil is staged and sent out through the Gulf, that is a, that is a big part of their revenue source. So that is certainly an. But obviously you're not going to be able to hold territory, I think on the mainland. That is certainly not occurs. I wouldn't want to see even try to do that at this point. But leverage is certainly a part of it. Options to have folks there. And then of course when you're bringing Marines, it's not just ground troops. You have Cobra helicopters, you have logistics as well, air defense, localized air defense. So there's a lot of things that they can do to support the Marines, even perhaps if they need to defend territory on the western side of the Gulf, US Bases, if they could even do that.
Dr. Gina
Also, Armin Jack Smith's team secretly sought more than two years of Cash Patel's phone metadata, according to newly released documents. Fox News reports. Verizon was asked for records dating from October 2020 through February 2023 with a court approved gag order keeping Patel in the dark. Do you think this happened to a lot of people? More people? I mean, if we're hearing about it with Kash Patel, my guess is this happened to a lot of people.
Armin Kurdian
Certainly if you're a quote unquote respected attorney working in the federal government and you put together a reasonable argument that's based on absolutely nothing and you present it to a judge and say this is really serious and Cash Patel could actually flee the country if we don't cease his records, then absolutely you're going to see a lot of these things come to pass and you know, his records are seized and monitored. Senator Cruz was talking about this yesterday. This is absolutely inexcusable, obviously. But you know, on its face the judges are saying, okay, sure, that looks really good. It's a very copacetic. Let's definitely go and do that. You know, we're finding obviously that There was no there there, absolutely none. Then this was nothing more than a fishing expedition. There was no evidence of any of this. Anything that they had was fabricated and equivocation in order to try to embarrass Donald Trump, embarrass of the people around him. And it was malicious prosecution. It was, you know, 10 times worse than what we did during, than what happened during Watergate. I don't know if anybody's ever going to be held truly accountable about this, sadly and unfortunately. But hopefully Republicans and Democrats can learn a real serious lesson here about turning our esteemed justice system into nothing more than a third world banana republic.
David Brody
Armin, let me just go back to the war with Iran. I'm sorry, the military conflict with Iran. Sorry, my bad. As US Senators listening to this. So do you believe the war was justified? And the second part of that question
Terrence Bates
is
David Brody
there's folks within MAGA that don't want to see forever wars. Matter of fact, the majority of MAGA doesn't want to see forever wars. This is not a forever war at this point. It's been, what, four weeks, whatever it's been. So I wonder if part of maga, they say they're not for forever wars, but I wonder if some part of maga, not all, some part of maga, just doesn't want to see war at all. And President Trump never said he wouldn't go to war, never said that he talked about forever wars. There's a difference between sometimes war is necessary and forever war is a different ballgame.
Armin Kurdian
Certainly. I don't think Iran was ever going to get rid of its nuclear program, its quest for a nuclear weapon without kinetic action. That was just never going to happen, no matter what negotiations were going on. So taking out that capability, their missile building capability, our drone missile capability, is certainly, I think, within the scope of reasonable action. Where I start to take very serious pause are the attacks or the perhaps the quote, unquote intended stated attacks that we're going to attack at energy infrastructure. You saw that Israel attacked the South Pars gas field. Iran retaliated against an LNG facility in Qatar. That is extremely dangerous. And if those kind of attacks were to continue in a war, were to expand of that nature, it could have ramifications for the world for many years to come. So nobody wants to see that. I certainly don't. Obviously. I think we were all hoping that there might be some kind of regime change or there might be some kind of internal partisans or elements of moderation within the Iranian government that would take over. That has not happened. I would have assumed it would have happened by now had that occurred. So I think maybe the unstated goal of regime change isn't going to occur. So once the capability to build these weapons has been sufficiently attrited, and some of the leadership has been attrited as well, the one to export terror around the world, I think the president is going to have to find some kind of way out of this, stop this war. Because not only is it, you know, you don't want any more collateral damage like the attack on that school, but we're using a lot of precision weapons. It is very expensive. And frankly, I don't want to see any more Americans killed if possible. Iran has been badly hurt and perhaps, hopefully they will learn the lesson and change their behavior. One can only hope.
David Brody
Yeah, Armament. Kurtian, appreciate it. We'll see about regime change. I mean, part two is coming soon. I mean, the United States government has told Iranians to stay inside. It's a little dangerous outside. Well, we'll see what happens here soon. Armin, thank you so much.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Armin.
Ryan Reynolds
Absolutely.

All right, coming up, the battle over glyphosates in the Roundup weed killer. You know that Roundup weed killer. Well, the Maha movement not happy with a legal move by the Trump administration about all of this. The facts next on American Sunrise.

Little Osprey Cam. Look at those little guys in there. My cat brought in a mouse the other day, all proud. It doesn't make me happy. He brings me mice. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. Gina. I run out in my yard every single day, figure out where all the nests are and make sure that none of my animals can get to the nest because I worry about this a lot. Thank you for joining us. It is time now for today's health news sponsored by the wellness company under the microscope today, glyphosate back at the center of a growing political and legal fight. Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Roundup. It's been at the center of tens of thousands of legal claims alleging it caused cases cancer while Bayer maintains the product is safe when used as directed. Now, the Trump administration backing Bayer before the Supreme Court in a case over whether federal pesticide law preempts some state law failure to warn claims. This is a position that could draw fresh criticism from the voices inside the well could it is, let me assure you. So this is a really, it's a fundamental touch point, honestly, for Maha and this is the reason that so many things are wrong with so many people. And I understand the power of the purse and how infiltrated Washington, D.C. is because of lobbying efforts to keep Roundup in our diets and in our runoff systems and everything else. But I have to tell you, I'm upset about this, but I want to hear from you. What do you think about this? Are you surprised that the Trump administration would back this? What do you think the real hazards are of glyphosates? And what do you think happens next? More importantly, Trump administration has brought a lot of positive changes when it comes to fixing our broken health care systems. The reality is only so much government can do. If we really want to make America healthy again, it has be to start at home with each of us. And that's where the wellness Company comes in. You see and hear from their doctors all the time. You know their products are the gold standard when it comes to keeping you safe and healthy. The Wellness Company makes sure you're prepared for whatever happens with their prescription medical kits. These kits have an assortment of life saving medications and guidebooks to assist in the proper use of the medications. Dr. Gina
Yes.
David Brody
All right.
Dr. Gina
Are you upset about the glyphosates, David?
David Brody
Yes, I'm upset about, I'm upset about a lot of things. I'm just an angry old man. Yes, yes, I'm upset. No, I really am, actually. And Maha has got some real legitimate issues with that, for sure.
Reynolds Kitchens Advertiser
All right.

Senate efforts to end the 40 day shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security are running into resistance for both parties. What a shock. It's called politics. Democrats say any deal must include new restrictions on ICE and cbp, including judicial warrant requirements and a ban on federal agents wearing masks. Yeah, good luck with that. At the same time, conservative Republicans like Josh Hawley are opposing the plan, saying they will not support any measure that cuts ICE funding, even if GOP leaders promise to restore that money later through reconciliation. So let's bring in the managing editor for the Daily Signal, Tyler o', Neill, who always has his ear to the ground. Tyler, what more can you tell us about this on the Hill? What's happening?
Tyler O'Neill
Yeah, well, we're, we're looking at long standing deadlock. And this is where the Democrats think that they can push an advantage that they think they have coming out of Minneapolis. And yet at the same time, you know, we're, we're looking, if you zoom all the way back, you see we had four years of an open border of millions and millions of people coming into this country, that the Trump administration is doing everything they can to try to reverse some of that. And you know, they've been successful to some degree, especially at providing the incentives, letting illegal aliens know, hey, we're going to come after you, leads a lot of them to self deport. So that's one of the aspects here that doesn't get enough attention. And I think that's where a lot of progress has been made. But when you look at the way that the left has been opposing this tooth and nail in the courts on the ground with these ICE watch organizations that have been popping up that, you know, seem like they might have some funding from activist groups and from the left's dark money network. And you know, what we saw in Minneapolis, I think a lot of Americans remember the tragic stories, and they were tragic stories of Alex Preddy and Renee Good. But we also need to remember what happened at city's church where you had these anti ICE agitators deciding that they could invade a church in the middle of service, take it over, brag about shutting it down. And this was the left's response. So the right, you know, the Trump administration is trying to deport some of the millions of illegal aliens who entered into this country. And meanwhile, we have, you know, lows, record lows of crime, especially of homicide and violence on our streets that show that this effort is really having some positive impacts here. And yet the left wants to oppose it tooth and nail. It's like they want every single illegal alien to stay here and they don't care about enforcing the laws.
Dr. Gina
Also, Tyler, Anna Navarro of the View slammed President Trump's comments on Robert Mueller and said, people will celebrate Trump's death when he dies. Take a look.
David Brody
Let me just say this. Karma never forgets an address. And he is 80 years old. He's got obvious visible physical ailments. And there will be people that when
Terrence Bates
he passes away, as we will all
David Brody
pass away, will write these type of things and celebrate. If you don't condemn it today from him, you don't have a right to condemn it then from anybody.
Dr. Gina
Tyler, your thoughts?
Tyler O'Neill
Well, it's interesting that she's condemning Trump for having a response, you know, celebrating the death of somebody when she says she's going to celebrate, and many people are going to celebrate when Trump himself dies. So, you know, she's saying that there's some, that there's some hypocrisy there. But I'm, I'm hearing from her what sounds like hypocrisy on that same score.
Dr. Gina
Fair. Tyler o', Neill, thank you so much for your time.
Tyler O'Neill
Thanks for having me.
Dr. Gina
All right, coming up, Adam Schiff is taking shots at President Trump again, claiming he's losing credibility as commander in chief over Iran. We're going to show you the clip and why. Critics say Schiff is the kind of the last guy that should be lecturing anyone. That's next on American Sunrise.

They're clean pods infused with caakg, a compound linked to longevity metabolism and deep cellular energy. It's the easiest way to get better focus, smoother energy and long term benefits without changing your routine. I choose them because they match the lifestyle. I want more energy, more clarity, and more intention in how I start my day. If you're going to drink coffee anyway, make it one that actually supports the life you're building. Head to 1775 Coffee.com Rav and try rejuvenate pods today. Don't just drink coffee, rejuvenate. All right, now that we are caffeinated, it's time to stay awake, not woke. And who is woke today? California Senator Adam Schiff, who said President Trump is losing credibility as commander in chief. Take a look at this.
David Brody
The deadline never seemed serious to me, and if it didn't serious seem serious to me, I doubt it seemed serious to Iran. So I don't know what to make of this five day delay. The president does this quite frequently. He will say, I'm going to do this in two weeks. And then two weeks comes and he pushes it down the road. It just causes you to lose credibility as the commander in chief. So I don't know how serious the threat was to begin with. We don't know how serious the negotiations are now. I hope they're serious. I hope we can bring this to an end. But I'm still very skeptical, particularly given that we're sending more troops to the region.
Emily Finn
Let's bring in Dr. Gina, David and Terrence. Gina, want to get your thoughts first on this? It's really tough for me. Every time I see Adam Schiff, I just think pencil neck.
Dr. Gina
Oh, right.
Emily Finn
Yeah.
Dr. Gina
You know, it's a sad day because I'm sure that President Trump woke up this morning hoping that Adam Schiff would never question his credibility. And now that he did, I just don't know what President Trump will do. David?
David Brody
Yeah, it's kind of rich of Adam Schiff to question someone's credibility when he's got none on January 6th. But beyond all of that, this is what President Trump does. You know, you keep them guessing. That's Part of the art of the deal. I mean, if we really think Trump is just kind of winging it, you know what? That's not gonna work. You know, as President of the United States, winging it doesn't work. You gotta have a plan and a strategy and what Trump's plan and strategy has always been. And, Gina, you know this. You've known him for a very long time. Part of the art of the deal is to let it ebb and flow. He doesn't want to be tied to anything. And part of the ebb and flow means that sometimes you'll throw something out, sometimes you'll keep it close to the vest. Just depends. And to us and others in the media, it might seem a little bit like, wait, what's he doing? Like, this Iran situation right now with the peace deal. Who they talking to? What's happening? We're all a little confused. He's not confused at all. And I can guarantee Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State's not confused. So my point is, is that there's a method to the, quote, madness, if you will. Not that it's madness, but Democrats will think it is. And that's the way I see it. T. Bates, you there? Did we not hear T. Bates?
Emily Finn
Oh, no, it looks like we're not hearing him.
Senator Ron Johnson
No.
David Brody
That's just so sad.
Emily Finn
You gotta start miming or something. Terrance.
David Brody
Yeah, T. Bates, do your best mime impression. Oh, well, boy, that must be so sad for him. He was in the quad box, and now we're in.
Emily Finn
He looks fired up, too. Looks like Terrence had. He had something good to say there. All right, well, we'll have to check back in with him in a couple minutes, but, yeah, great discussion.
David Brody
Come back to you.
Emily Finn
Yeah, as always. Yeah. Don't think that Trump, like you said, Gina, is staying up at night thinking about Adam Schiff's opinion of him. All right, coming up. As Jesus hung on the cross, the sun failed, the ground trembled, and history changed forever. The dramatic details of that sacred day ahead on American Sunrise.

greeting God bless the USA in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. Welcome back everybody to American Sunrise. I want to sing like that. It's time now for our moment of faith brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible. All right, in focus today, what if the death of Jesus didn't just shake Jerusalem but actually shook the entire ancient world? You know, the Gospels describe darkness at midday, an earthquake powerful enough to split rocks, and even tombs opening. But were these just symbolic descriptions or did something extraordinary actually happen? Well, today we're looking at the historical clues, both biblical and secular, surrounding the strange events reported on the day Christ died. Here to help us analyze that is our friend Jim Moseley, the author of The Duke of D.C. the American Dream, discovering Jesus disciples, who they were, what they believed and what they achieved. And Jim also co wrote a book with Dr. G, the days of Creation by Heart, teaching children how God made the world around here. He is the Bible history guy and he joins us now via Zoom. We're assuming, Jim, that you are real, you are not a hologram. Thanks for being here. Tell us more, Jim.
Jim Moseley
Yeah, I think therefore I am. So I'm not a holograph.
Terrence Bates
Well, yeah.
Jim Moseley
As Jesus hung on the cross just before 11am There was this unnatural darkness that covered the land. And it couldn't have been a solar eclipse because Passover occurs near a full moon and that's when the earth is between the sun and the moon. An eclipse is when the moon is between the earth and the sun. So it was a deep, unnatural midday darkness. And it lasted for about three hours until 2pm the shadow veiled the whole land. And in Jerusalem, there must have been panic because this just wasn't any day. It was Passover. More than 250,000 lambs had to be slaughtered before sunset, before the Passover meal that evening. So the priests had an eye on the sky and then suddenly the sun disappeared. And they didn't have any clocks, they didn't have watches. So they had to be asking themselves, wait, have we miscalculated? Has sunset come this early? Has the Passover begun too soon? Well, in the darkness, the most important religious preparations of the year were all confused. And then Jesus died. And Matthew says the earth shook and the rocks split. The tombs were opened. Now that doesn't mean the dead arose and were walking around the city that day because Matthew says these saints appeared after the resurrection. So Matthew was prophesying the death of Jesus was the promise of resurrection. When Christ returns, all the dead are going to rise, the saved, into the new heaven and new earth and the unsaved in the lake of fire. So the earthquake was a prophecy of life after death. Now, on that day, across the ancient world, Greek historians recorded strange events. Flegon wrote of a darkness at midday and a great earthquake. Thallus described a widespread darkness. So whatever happened that day, it wasn't ordinary. And under the cross, a Roman centurion watched. He'd seen countless people die. But this death was different. Jesus didn't slowly fade away. He gave up his spirit. And the sky darkened and the earth trembled. And that hardened soldier made an extraordinary confession. Surely this was the son of God. Even the crowd changed. Luke says they came to mock Jesus on the cross, but they left beating their breasts, shaken, grieving, unsettled. What happened that day shook creation itself. Paul wrote, we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth. So on crucifixion day, creation groaned because the creator was voluntary, submitting to death so he could defeat death itself. As Paul wrote later, death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your sting?
David Brody
Jim Moseley? The evidence really is undeniable. It's just a matter of people having the free will to go search it out and find the truth for themselves. We really appreciate your time. Thanks, Jim.
Jim Moseley
Thank you.
David Brody
Great stuff. We are back with the second hour of American Sunrise in dos minutos. Thank you very much. I'm bilingual. Stick around.
Dr. Gina
All right. Coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise, President Trump is in talks to support a tentative plan to finally bring the ongoing debt DHS shutdown to a close, a deal that would reportedly leave out funding for ice. We're going to have the latest in just a moment. Plus, Senator Chuck Grassley releases documents revealing former special counsel Jack Smith secretly sought more than two years worth of phone records. On now FBI Director Cash Patel. We're going to talk about how the White House might respond also later, the Supreme Court is voicing skepticism over state laws that allow the counting of mail in ballots after election Day. This comes as a poll shows how an overwhelming majority of Americans really feel about that issue. These stories so much more as the second hour of American Sunrise starts right now.
David Brody
Good morning, America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking exciting news to share with you.

David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. see? Let's bring in Dr. G in West Palm to Bates in our Denver newsroom. Can't wait to see you guys in Dallas tomorrow for cpac. My flight leaves in six hours, so I better go to the airport right now.
Terrence Bates
Regarding the TSA line, you're two hours late already. You're two hours late already, David. Yeah, I'm not gonna make it to TSA lines. Right. We'll see. We'll see. Looking forward to seeing both of you, Dr. G. Of course. Looking forward to seeing. I've heard, though. So we've got a couple of meteorologists in Denver in our Denver studios from West Palm and they're saying that the lines at the West Palm, I think it's PBI Airport, haven't been too bad. So, Dr. Gina, you should be okay. D.C. i'm not so sure for you, David. And Denver, when I looked yesterday, it was about a five minute wait. My luck, it'll be like a six hour wait when I get there. But we'll see.
Dr. Gina
Terrence, I'm counting on you, man. I'll tell you, I live for this ski vacation I have every year right there close to Denver. And I'm going to need some snow next week.
Terrence Bates
I don't know if you're going to get it, Dr. G. It's going to be. It's going to be manufactured man made
Dr. Gina
snow, but regular, which is the worst skiing ever.
Emily Finn
Yeah.
David Brody
Can I just also say on a personal note, are we going to Waffle House in Dallas? Because we need to go to Waffle House. It's six.
Terrence Bates
I just did a Google map.
David Brody
It's six minutes. It's six minutes from from where we're going to be. We got to go to.
Dr. Gina
Let's go after the show tomorrow.
David Brody
Fine.
Terrence Bates
I mean, it's a date. I'm all in.
David Brody
All right.
Terrence Bates
I am all.
David Brody
Take my cholesterol.
Terrence Bates
All in.
David Brody
Perfect.
Terrence Bates
David. That is hilarious. All right, let's get a quick check of our forecast. Senator Ron Johnson is standing by. We're going to get to him momentarily. First, though, Adrian Hernandez standing by in the weather center with more on what you can expect. Adrian. So look, I've got to ask you this question. Because it's so warm here in the Denver area, I've started to change my wardrobe, pull out all my spring clothes and my summer clothes again. Is spring officially here? Like are we safe to do that or is there probably going to be another blast of winter at some point in time here?
Ryan Reynolds
Terrence, Spring has been here. I mean we've already had a pretty active start to severe weather. I mean Terrence, step outside side today. It's going to be blistering hot out in Denver. We already broke an all time record high for the month of March for Denver, not just Denver. Loads and loads of cities in this country have broken an all time record high. It has just been so blistering hot all across the lower 48. And we're going to continue to deal with those hot temperatures going in throughout today as this record high, this historic March heat wave will continue on going in the next few days or so. That's going to increase the fire danger as well. We got some, some gusty winds and some really dry conditions out towards Wyoming, but if you're out towards the Ohio Valley, very, very different. We got plenty of moisture to work with and a frontal boundary will be clearing this area bringing those severe weather chances for even opening day for MLB starting tomorrow. So or really starting today. The games that will be impacted will start tomorrow. Yuma, Arizona got an all time March record high for the entirety of the United States. 95 cities broke monthly records. Here's a look at that severe weather outlook. Those severe weather chances for Thursday, Chicago out to Cincinnati, St. Louis even out towards Milwaukee, potentially going to be impacted by weather by the time we get towards Thursday. Your high temperatures going into March 26th are again going to be really, really warm. St. Louis, you're going to get up to 91 degrees. That's just way too much heat to even deal with Denver Getting up to 82, Chicago 77 and 82 out in places like Cincinnati. So the timing for this system again could impact a few of these opening day games. Specifically Chicago. I'm the most concerned about because we do see this one cell starting to pull in by the time we get to around 4 o' clock in the afternoon, potentially into the Chicago metro. So I wouldn't be surprised if they either delayed the game a bit or pushed it backwards to kind of avoid the worst of what we potentially could see going into today. Now it's not to scare you, but of course having multiple ways to get alerts is going to be great, especially if some of these severe weather chances go into the overnight hours. Because looking at this model data, especially going into the overnight hours of Thursday, even into Friday morning, we'll still deal with some more rainfall across the Ohio Valley at the very least, though, Terence, Denver is looking to be incredibly, incredibly dry. You're just going to have to deal with these very blistering warm temperatures. I believe the high today, if I'm not mistaken, it's about 89°. I mean, I'm from Florida. We deal with warm temperatures all the time. But I'll be honest with you, I would much rather take the Florida heat just because the humidity, I feel like it makes it better versus you guys. It might be be something about being like close to 6,000ft closer to the sun out here in Denver, but it's still. It's honestly unbearable.
Terrence Bates
Yeah. Anyone you talk to here in the Denver area talks about this unseasonable heat, but there's also lots of concern that we haven't had any rain. And of course, there's the fire danger that everyone's talking about. So we'll see how all of this works out. Adrian, always good to see you, my friend. Thank you.
Ryan Reynolds
Likewise.
Terrence Bates
All right, let's get you over to David now. David Brody, Good morning, sir. Can't wait to go to Waffle House tomorrow. I am super excited. Oh, thank you.
David Brody
I am, too. I can't wait. I'm sure Gina is just bubbling over with joy right now, for sure. President Trump is reportedly considering, considering supporting a plan to end the ongoing shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security. The new plan would fund the entire department, except for ICE enforcement, which would receive funding through a reconciliation package that would also include parts of the Save America Act. The whole thing is a bit convoluted, or maybe it's just my brain that can't work very quickly. Joining us now with a reaction is Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson. Senator, good morning. You have answers. You're from Wisconsin, you like cheese, and you have answers. So what do you make of this plan? I mean, would it have the votes? Could we see DHS funding in place? Could we see TSA workers back on the job by the end of the week? I'm going to the airport in six hours. How am I looking, Senator Johnson?
Senator Ron Johnson
Depends on the airport. And by the way, if you're at the airport and you're, you got TSA agents there, thank them. They've been working out for weeks without pay. They can't afford it. And that's really what's driving this, this deal. It's probably not the best precedent set, but you know Republicans, we want to see the TSA and all the DHS workers paid. If there's one thing that the latest shutdown should prove, the American People, that is that Republicans are now the party of the working men and women of America and Democrats are the party of illegal immigrants. I mean, it couldn't be clear. Unfortunately, the legacy media, the corporate media, they are not holding Democrats accountable. If the tables were turned and Republicans had refused to vote to fund dhs, and we've done that repeatedly, Democrats are the ones that are voting no. If the tables were turned, we would be excoriated by the legacy media. We would have caved literally within hours. This shutdown wouldn't have occurred. It's only because Democrats have the backing of the legacy, the liberal media. That's why this is dragged on. And again, is this deal somewhat convoluted? Yeah, maybe a little bit more difficult to understand, but good thing is we did fund ICE and CBP in the reconciliation bill, literally for a couple of years. It's not the way to do it. Not a good precedent, but we want to make sure the men and women of DHS and ICE and TSA get paid. They deserve it. That's. Hopefully we can bring this thing to a close here in the next day or two.
Terrence Bates
Senator Johnson, President Trump, of course, has been urging Senate Republicans to ditch the filibuster in order to get this legislation over the finish line. You actually published an op ed last week where you said the 60 vote threshold can help prevent passing bad bills, but. But it also makes it impossible to pass good ones. So the big question is, is it time to get rid of the filibuster for good or how do you kind of circumvent the filibuster in this particular case?
Senator Ron Johnson
Well, again, the split in the Republican Party is between those of us who are very convinced that next time Democrats have the power, they will end the filibuster and they'll do it to benefit themselves, to turn this into a one party nation. Turn D.C. and Puerto Rico into states, pack the Supreme Court. That's what they're gonna do. We've got a group of Republican senators who are hoping against our hope that they won't do that. And again, that's a legitimate point of view because again, I would hate if we're in the minority not to be able to block the socialist types of bills that Democrats will impose on America. The problem is Democrats have shown us their hand. They purged the two senators from their party that prevented them from ending the last time. And so that's the debate going on. I think the Senate is horribly broken. I don't think this would be cataclysmic to end the filibuster, not for America, not even for the U.S. senate. You might even actually find greater cooperation. The Senate is broken. The status quo is unacceptable. So I'm willing to make that change. I'm not sure. I don't think we have the votes right now to do so. But at the same time, we didn't have votes to change the rules on nominations. But Democrats are so obnoxious, so obstructionist. In the end, all 53 Republicans voted to change those rules so President Trump could confirm his nominees.
Dr. Gina
Isn't this just though a place in time? Is there a danger in the institutional integrity to eliminate the filibuster when we know that will be turned on us? Right. There's no question about that. When it seems to have worked in years past. Is there another way to tackle this impasse, Senator?
Senator Ron Johnson
Well, for more than our first hundred years, there was no way to end a filibuster. There was no way to bring debate to a close. And somehow the Senate operated that way. The cloture vote was initiated in 1917 to bring a long debate to an end. What's happened over the decades is now that cloture vote, that 60 vote threshold is used to eliminate all debate. You don't even get to consider a bill. And what we're doing right now, the SAVE act, is we put it on the floor. It was a message from the House so we could put it on the floor with just 50 votes. Now we're debating it, we're gonna offer amendments to it. We've really fleshed out the fact that Democrats are saying, well, we're not opposed to voter id. Oh, that's interesting. That's a surprise to me. Let's talk about how we can impose a national standard voter ID to secure elections. Now, will they vote for it in the end? I doubt it. I think they're lying. But that's what debate in the Senate is all about, and it's about offering amendments. So again, the Senate is horribly broken. I've been here 15 years. We should have passed 180 appropriation bills before the start of the fiscal year. There was funding, we passed 6. It's a 96.7% failure rate. We had a 42 day shutdown. Now we're denying checks to hardworking men and women, TSA because of dysfunction. Something's gotta change. You know, we need a paradigm shift. The United States Senate.
David Brody
Yeah. So, Senator, not to get wonky, but why not? So if the filibuster is not gonna happen, regarding the Save America act, are we looking at reconciliation. I mean, that's the talk to put it in reconciliation. But there you got the parliamentarian that might rule it non germane. And you also have an issue as to whether or not you can get 50 Republicans to allow for the Save America act vote to go inside reconciliation. And then you got Senator John Thune, who would have to decide whether or not the parliament to overrule the parliamentarian if the parliamentarian says it's non germane. So how do you see all of that?
Senator Ron Johnson
So again, it's just possible we might be able to get a voter ID law because Democrats are saying they're for it. So we use the general, you know, the basic senate procedures there, 60 votes. But on reconciliation, you can do things budgetarily. So you can offer inducements to states to clean up their voter rolls, to have voter ID to pay for IDs. That's one of their complaints. Oh, it's like a poll tax. No, it's not like a poll tax. We can, we'll offer to pay it. It'd be de minimis cost to pay for IDs so people can, you know, so we have a legitimate election. So there are things we can do through reconciliation, using a budget process to provide inducements to secure election. And that's probably what we do through reconciliation. Plus we fund ICE and we'd fund CBP for many, many years so this can't happen again.
David Brody
It's great the way you laid that out there from a budget standpoint so it gets to reconciliation. Thank you, Senator Johnson. Always great to have you. Appreciate it.
Senator Ron Johnson
Have a great day.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Senator.
David Brody
All right, coming up, the Pentagon is sending more troops to Iran even as the White House reportedly sent a 15 point peace plan to Tehran via Pakistan. Did the cardboard Ayatollah ever see that? We'll have the latest on the ongoing conflict after the break.
Terrence Bates
You can take the flag from the screen, but you, you can't take it from me.
Emily Finn
Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily Finn. We're following new developments in the war with Iran as more troops are set to arrive in the region. The Pentagon is expected to deploy elements of the elite 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East. As many as 3,000 troops as the conflict enters its fourth week. So far, the US has relied on air power, carrying out more than 9,000 combat flights and striking over 9,000 targets across Iran. At the same time, about 2,200 Marines are already headed to the region, raising new questions about whether boots on the ground could be next. President Trump says negotiations are also underway, but Iran is calling those reports fake. Joining us now with reaction is RAV chief White House correspondent Brian Glenn. Brian, so we have more troops heading to Iran now, but we're also learning the White House has sent a 15 point peace plan to Iran via Pakistan. What's the president's strategy here? Brian, what are you hearing in D.C.
Brian Glenn
well, I think, Emily, this is a part of the deal. This is exactly what President Trump is a master at. He can position our military around that region and show a force of strength, but he can also propose a peace plan. So if you take one deal or you can take the other deal, but this is a part of the, also the intimidation factor of all of this. No one can argue that our US Military is winning this war. They've won this war. We've completely defeated their military, the Iranian military on all aspects from the air force to their naval ships. So this is a part of a strategy, I think that's going to force the Iranian leadership, if you can find them, to reach this deal and bring this war to an end.
Emily Finn
So, Brian, give us a bit of a timeline or your prediction, I suppose, of a timeline of how soon you think that this could end, how, how soon you think these negotiations could come together and this could all come to, to an end.
Brian Glenn
You know, that is a great question because President Trump in the Oval Office yesterday had spoken, someone had asked him a very similar question that of course, he's got people that are negotiating, Rubio, Vice President J.D. vance and others on this deal. It could come as soon as the end of the week or it could come soon as the end of next month. I do think it will happen sooner than later. I do not think this war escalates past perhaps the month of May. I know some of the markets, the polymarkets were predicting it and take for the polymarket for what they are, they're just a betting market based on information. But I do think this ends sooner than later. I think the American people want to focus on other tasks. And of course, President Trump has got a lot on his plate and he wants to put this conflict, this war
Emily Finn
to an end, especially during a midterm election year. Brian, tell us what else the president is working on. Obviously, this is the top priority. This is number one on his agenda. But what else is the president doing there in D.C. today?
Brian Glenn
Well, you know, it's interesting. We've got the first lady is in town coming in today. There is a large group of media, foreign press that's in here. The first lady having this commitment, the fostering children, a big initiative for her. President Trump spoke yesterday briefly in the opening remarks. He has meetings throughout the day. I'm in front of the West Wing here. Come tomorrow, there is another cabinet meeting that takes place. Obviously a lot on the agenda there. We'll see how that plays out. So eyes are still on the economy. Emily just got back from Memphis and he talked about jobs, talked about the security of the Memphis task force and the security of making America safer, making the streets of America safer. There's no doubt that when you look at the murder rate, the overall murder rate in the history of this country is as low as it's ever been in 150 plus years. And that's something to say about his commitment to securing the streets of America, securing our border and perhaps getting this economy which he brought back from Joe Biden's disastrous double digit inflation brought back that brought that back down. And of course we now have a little bit of inflation due to the cost of diesel and gasoline. But getting the economy back on track, securing our nation, I think that's on his agenda. He's got several meetings today, several signing opportunities as well. We'll see how that plays out and what comes from those meetings.
Emily Finn
Sounds like it's certainly going to be a busy day. Brian, Glenn, thank you so much for being with us this morning.
Brian Glenn
Thank you, Emily.

Welcome back, everyone. Getting ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's set to ring here in about seven, six minutes or so. We, of course, will take you there live to get a quick update. Here's a quick look at the futures. As you can see, almost top to bottom, everything in the green. That's hopefully a good sign of what's to come. First, though, let's get you over to RAV correspondent Bo Davidson. He's sitting with Julio Gonzalez to discuss what you need to know about maximizing your tax return this tax season.
Martha Stewart
Thanks, Terrance. Well, we have back our esteemed tax expert, Julio Gonzalez, founder of Engineered Tax Services. And today we want to focus on grants, which Engineered Tax Services can assist with. Julio, let's just say that you are an individual who will be benefiting from this year's tax returns much better obviously than years in the past. And you're starting a business now. There are a myriad of grants out there that can help a small to medium sized business owner. Tell me about those.
Julio Gonzalez
Yeah, we have so many grants, right. And part of the tax bill we passed last year increased the grants that are going to small businesses, entrepreneurs. So that's a good thing. Ultimately, we have federal grants, we have foundation grants, which are local grants. Right. We have city grants, we have state grants. So there's a lot of opportunities. Big corporations have grants for their local entrepreneurs. So it's wonderful. There's so many opportunities. It's just not many people apply. So thank goodness we're on your show here to create more awareness.
Martha Stewart
Exactly. Of course, Julio. A lot of the people that are watching us are females and we of course, are in Women's History Month. So we can't forget about our females. There are a myriad of grants just for females, too. Tell me about those.
Julio Gonzalez
So many. And every day we see more and more because people want women to have that equality, right? They want equality in terms of business, entrepreneurs, CEO, women. And I think it's fantastic. So like this, last week we had Costco put out a ton of grants for women entrepreneurs. We have some at the sbf, at the federal government. Right. So ultimately right now there's about three 35 Women Entrepreneur Grants at the federal level. There's a lot depending on where you live locally and at the state side as well. So so many opportunities. You know, some of the big ones are the Amber grants and the Women Entrepreneur grants. All these grants are so amazing. Costco, I said had grants last week for women and fantastic.
Martha Stewart
I didn't Know that Costco. So we need to check those out as well. And also, Julio, in talking to you, I've learned that ethnic minorities can also take advantage of a number of grants. Tell me about those.
Julio Gonzalez
Yeah, we have so many grants for black entrepreneurs, Hispanic entrepreneurs, and again, we include in that group women entrepreneurs. Right. So we have all collectively there. Sometimes they're all right. It's the woman who's half Spanish and half black. But ultimately, so many opportunities, and I think this is tremendous. We have to create this equality. Right. The grants are there. We know the Fortune 500 companies take every grant they can. They're 100% right. Small business owners, 1% of them are taking grants. Why? It's free capital to start their business, to grow their business, to expand, to invest in real estate, to expense, you know, to invest in technology and AI.
Martha Stewart
Are there any tax consequences for grants, Julio?
Julio Gonzalez
Yeah, I mean, there are sometimes, and most of the times I would say no. So no. No taxes and no payback. So, you know, it's split. But ultimately, a lot of these are tax free. But listen, even if they are taxable, you know, there's ways to write that off under the new tax code. So I think either way, take the free capital, ultimately, and grow your business.
Martha Stewart
And a lot of people just don't know about it. And I know that you have a book on grant equality. This is such an important book where you can find so much more information about these grants. Tell me about the book and where people can find it.
Julio Gonzalez
Yeah, and the book's free, right? And it's the.
David Brody
How do you get it?
Julio Gonzalez
Okay, they just text grants to 267-86-26786 grants. And ultimately we'll send the book out to you, and it just helps you, like, strategize how do I put the grant together? How do I start a nonprofit to have a grant? All these things that you need to think about. But it's a quick, easy read, and ultimately, I think it'll help someone get grant eligible and this. And they can use ChatGPT or any of these AI programs to search for the grants. We can help them. We're here to help them, too. Right. So a lot of times we're helping women or minority or small business people get grants, and it's great. We'll go out and search for them. It's kind of like going on a dating app. Right? You know, so that we're constantly looking for the right grants for them. We're trying to match them, and then we go out and execute and we'll work on their behalf because I know small business entrepreneurs. They're working 24, 7 to just bring in revenue and grow their businesses.
Martha Stewart
Hard to have time.
Armin Kurdian
Right?
Julio Gonzalez
Right. And we'll work on the side. And a lot of times our fees are paid by the government. Oh, wow.
Martha Stewart
Okay. So listen up. If you are a minority, if you are a small business owner, if you are a female, you need to be paying attention to this book. It's an incredible book. Julio Gonzalez, thank you so much always for sharing your insight.
Julio Gonzalez
I love being here. Thank you so much.

We're about a minute away from the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Just a little while ago, we showed you the futures market which was all green pretty much top to bottom. Things changing a little bit the closer we get to the opening bell. As you can see, it's more red now than it was green. The dow S&P 500 and the NASDAQ are all down in advance of the opening bell, which is set to ring here in about a minute. Again, we'll take you there live and let you know if things change. But on this Wednesday of trading, hopefully it's going to be a good one. Hopefully you'll be able to buy low and sell high and you'll make a little bit of money this morning. We are expecting to hear that applause here momentarily on the floor. And then we'll get an idea of exactly how the markets are shaping up on this Wednesday of trading. Again, the Dow is down right now. The S&P 500 also down. And the tech heavy NASDAQ also down again in pre market trading. Invest America, the Trump accounts are at the podium today. The applause underway, which means we are literally seconds away from that opening bell. And then we'll get an idea of how the markets are faring. You may also want to invest in one of those Trump accounts, especially if you have a newborn or very young child, this may be a great way to help them get a of sense, step forward in their financial future. All right, ladies and gentlemen, the market's now officially open. And just like that, things are changing a little bit. You can see the top of our board is now green again. The dow S&P 500 and the NASDAQ all up at the moment just a couple of blemishes on our screen. But in general, if you're going to be investing in the major indices, hopefully it will be a good day for you. Still to come here on American Sunrise, a big decision is looming at the Supreme Court as the justices weigh whether mail in ballots should be accepted after election Day. Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily Finn. Thanks so much for joining us this morning. We invite you to join the conversation on Getter and Rumble. Time now to take the political pulse of America and the beat Today. A major election integrity debate is now front and center at the Supreme Court. And it comes as voters across the country are already weighing in. In the case Watson v. Rnc, justices are questioning whether states should be allowed to count mail in ballots that arrive after Election Day. And according to a new poll, more than 80% of voters say ballots should be received by Election Day with strong support across party lines. Several justices, including Brett Kavanaugh and Samuel Alito, also expressed concerns that extending ballot deadlines could undermine trust in the system. With a decision expected this summer, the outcome could reshape how elections are run across the country. To discuss, let's bring in David Brody and Terrance Bates. David, wanna go to you first on this. I mean, makes sense. 80% of people say you gotta have it in by election Day. That that's just common sense.
David Brody
Yeah, it is common sense. And as President Trump says, we're in this common sense revolution. A couple of things. The disclaimer here Emily and Terence, is that I don't trust John Roberts as far as I can throw him. And I'm starting not to trust Amy Coney Barrett as well. So we'll see exactly how that decision goes. Having said that, I mean, if you think about it, it does. Going back to common sense, it all just makes sense. I mean, think about it. Imagine if you're, you know, so the election day is, let's say, on Tuesday, November 4th. Let's just throw that out there and you all three of us decide, you know what? Tell you what. I think I'll show up November 8th. Yeah, that's not gonna work. That ain't gonna work. We're done. November 4th, you come into the lunchroom at a school and vote. And then November 5th, that lunchroom is no longer have voting machines. It's all over with. So why not the same with mail in ballots? I mean, to me, forget about this whole idea of like, oh, there could be some shady stuff going on. How about just common sense debates, which is the deadline to vote is the deadlines, and that's it. And by the way, mail in ballots start, what, three months out, four months out, two months out. You got plenty of time, so you got even more time than early voting. Please. See you.
Terrence Bates
Hey, David, Correct me if I'm wrong, and I'm pretty sure I'm not here, but typically, the way it works with mail in ballots, it's gotta be postmarked by election day, which means it doesn't even arrive to get counted, you know, say, a week later. I would like to see, quite honestly, David, then move up that postmark. As you mentioned, you get the ballots, they're available months in advance, so why not make it two weeks before is when the postmark has to be. That way, there's a much better chance that it gets to the county facility by election day. Not being postmarked on election day, and then we can count everything together. That makes sense to me now. Not a whole lot in my life makes sense, but that does make sense to me. David.
David Brody
It does make sense. Emily, what do you think? I mean, to me, I'm gonna sign an executive order right now. T. Bates.
Emily Finn
I think Terrence should be in charge of our elections throughout all of America, because they would be extremely, extremely secure.
David Brody
Election.
Terrence Bates
There you go. The bad part would be that I would be filling every single position. Like, I'd be president, vice president. I'd be everything. So, yeah, we probably shouldn't go there.
Emily Finn
This is Terrence's America.
David Brody
You know what, Marco Rubio needs another job. Let's have him be election commissioner.
Terrence Bates
Right, right.
Emily Finn
No, it makes perfect sense what you're saying, though, Terrence, because it doesn't leave any room for potential fraud. And I think that's what people get nervous about. If there's potential for fraud and there's potential that, you know, people could manipulate the system. You just have to eliminate all avenues to be able to do that. So interesting points, you guys.
Terrence Bates
And it streamlines. It streamlines the system. Sorry, David. It just streamlines the system. That's all I was going to say. Go ahead, David, please.
David Brody
No, I didn't want to stop the election. Commissioner. I'm sorry. If you've got more to say, you. All right, let's move over now to Capitol Hill, where talks to end the ongoing DHS shutdown have hit a major snag. President Trump continues to urge Republicans to hold the line, demanding the Save America act be included in any funding deal. Senate leaders say the votes just aren't there, even if some lawmakers hold out for partial agreement to reopen the department. Joining us now with reaction is Illinois Congresswoman Mary Miller, a friend of the show. Congresswoman, can I use this? You're hopping mad. I understand this morning. What the world. Go ahead. I mean, you're so congenial all the time, but you're hopping mad this morning. Good morning.
Reasonably Optimistic Host
I am. Because of the impact that this is having on our country. Not funding DHS is putting our country in grave danger, putting Americans in grave danger. And it completely is tied to the Democrats facilitating invasion of our country. Now they do not want us to deport these criminal. Illegal aliens. And people are being killed, which is the tragic thing we saw just a couple days ago in Chicago where another innocent victim, Sheridan Gorman, was murdered. Gunned down on a walk with her friends when they went out to look at the northern lights. And then Pritzker shows no concern. Pritzker and all the Democrats. And it's not just her. Katie Abraham's family has gotten same treatment from the Democrats. And then we saw in New York the 14 year old boy that was raped by an illegal alien in a public bathroom. That illegal alien got six months in prison and he's been released into the general public. This is insanity. And I have no respect for Leader Thune. Why are we not being scrappy, pushing every avenue to make sure that we can fund DHS and pass the Save America Act.
Terrence Bates
Well, thanks from all of us from just keeping it real. We appreciate your authenticity. But it leads to the question, how can you turn your anger into some sort of action, particularly in face of the Democratic opposition out there. Is there any way, is there anything that you can do?
Reasonably Optimistic Host
Well, I'm in the House, we voted to send the bills to the Senate and I'm calling out Senator Thune. He's a terrible leader. He will go down in history for being a terrible leader if he cannot get this passed. Definitely the Senate should not be leaving for Easter break. No way. And the other thing I want to bring up in my short time here is the secondary threat to Americans which is illegals that have brought diseases across the border. Katie Abraham's killer, illegal alien had full blown AIDS when he came over the border. And now we know that the killer of Sheridan Gorman has tuberculosis. And he actually didn't show up to his hearing because he was getting medical care which cost almost $30,000 for him, paid for by taxpayers.
David Brody
Wow. Hey, Congresswoman Emily, I know you have a question here, but just a quick follow up. You mentioned Senator Thune, the majority leader. So help me understand this because my understanding is. And he doesn't want to change the filibuster. I got it. He's a rules guy, he's a procedural guy. He's that type of guy. Stupid.
Reasonably Optimistic Host
He should change the filibuster. He should change the filibuster.
David Brody
But here's my question. He's saying, and I think there's some credibility to this if the votes are not there that he could bring it up. But you're not gonna even get 50 Republicans to break the to say change the filibuster rules. Cuz you got Thom Tillis is a no. Rand Paul's gonna be a no. Murkowski and Collins are probably no's and McConnell's probably a no. So you're not gonna even get the 50. He's saying the votes are not there. But you're saying you put this on Thune.
Reasonably Optimistic Host
It's on Thune because he should be engaging in back and forth scrappy negotiations with these people that say their nosy. When we passed the first reconciliation bill they unfortunately they did have to give some concessions to some of these loser Republicans that aren't on board to save our country, which I hated to do. But these are two passing Save America is going to impact the country. What kind of country we are leaving our children and grandchildren. It is essential. Same with funding dhs. They have to what? They're going to have to be scrappy and work for trade offs. They do it all the time.
Emily Finn
Congressman, I do want to move on to some unsettling news from your home state. The DHS recently confirmed the suspect in the murder of a Loyola University student is an illegal immigrant from Venezuela who was released twice before the deadly incident. You've said that this is a result of Governor J.B. pritzker's sanctuary policies. How has the governor made Illinois less safe since taking off office?
Reasonably Optimistic Host
He's ruled out the red carpet for the illegals. And I know I have friends that are in law enforcement, and Pritzker and the Democrats have made it illegal for law enforcement to even ask a criminal if they're legal or not. But my friends do ask why they came to Illinois, and they have been told it's because Pritzker gives them free health care. And that. So we've become a magnet for the worst of the worst and. And making the Illinois taxpayers pick up the tab for it.
Terrence Bates
So, a bit of a self serving question as David and I, actually, this entire crew were getting ready to be traveling. ICE agents, of course, now are at airports. They're helping with the tsa. The fact that this even is necessary is a shame, but it is what it is. It's the situation. President Trump saying that he is actually considering sending in National Guard as well. If the ICE officers can't quell the long security lines at the airports, would you support this sort of move from the President? And how much farther do we need to go to help our ICE agents in the absence of paying them?
Reasonably Optimistic Host
Well, ice.
Terrence Bates
I'm sorry, not the ICE agents. The tsa. The TSA agents. My apologies. Go ahead.
Reasonably Optimistic Host
I mean, I support the move, but it's unfortunate that we're rerouting ICE agents to the airport. They need to be deported, be involved in deportations, which hopefully they can get a few people in the airport. But, you know, we do have airports that suddenly seem a little empty. So maybe the illegals are afraid because ICE is there, but it is highlighting. It's. You know, I was in an airport the other day when ICE agents came walking past and everybody turned their head, they were staring. And it's raising the awareness for the American people of what the Democrats are doing to our country.
David Brody
All right, well, Congresswoman Mary Miller, we really appreciate your time. You know, a lot to be angry about for sure. So thank you.
Reasonably Optimistic Host
You're welcome.
Terrence Bates
And thanks for your candor. Like, I just want to take a personal note. Thanks for your candor. Thank you.
David Brody
Okay. She's.
Terrence Bates
She's saying, be quiet, Terrence. That's candor for you. Be quiet. I'm done. With you. Oh, yeah.
David Brody
I got your candor right here. I'm going dark on Skype. Oh, my gosh. Okay. Oh, should I read the tease? I'm sorry. I think I butchered this whole segment. Coming up, former national counterterrorism director Joe Kent had a fiery moment with commentator Mark Levin over combat operations operations in Iran. You won't believe what he said. The full story is next after the break as we go looking for Congresswoman Mary Miller. No, that's our badge. Back in a moment. When it's breaking, we're moving breaking news.

And in the cup today, Mark Levin and former Trump administration official Joe Kent. Kent, who resigned as head of the National Counterterrorism center, claimed Iran posed no imminent threat to the US and urged President Trump to change course. But Levin fired back during a contentious interview after Kent accused him of pushing the president toward war. The exchange quickly turned personal, with Kent also denying reports he's under federal investigation for allegedly leaking classified information. Take a look at how all of this played out.
David Brody
What about the media echo chamber, your
Terrence Bates
buddies who didn't want regime change in Iran?
David Brody
There's a lot of echo chambers out there. When you say it appears that your media, your media echo chamber was much more successful. No, it wasn't. I never lobbied the president. Hey, pay attention to me.
Terrence Bates
I never lobby the president. You guys keep putting that crap out there.
David Brody
I met with the president once at
Terrence Bates
his request, and I said to the
David Brody
president, ready for this, Joe? I said, they're telling.
Terrence Bates
They're saying out there that I'm lobbing you.
David Brody
You know what he did? He laughed.
Emily Finn
To discuss. Let's bring in David and Terrence. Terrence, want to get your thoughts on this first. Every time I see Mark Levin lately, he's, like, angry and yelling.
David Brody
Yeah.
Terrence Bates
And I will say there's a lot to be angry about. This is just a mess. And I put a lot of this at the feet of Joe Kent. He just shouldn't have gone public. That's the big issue. If he had concerns, then he should have raised concern, those concerns privately. But putting this out into the public sphere and then publicly accusing people of influencing the president, all of that, I just don't think there's a. It benefits the public in any way. There's no real benefit for it. If he had concerns about how we got into this war, why we got into this war, even if he thought that Israel, excuse me, influenced President Trump, those are things, particularly in his position, that he should have brought up privately and behind closed doors and not air dirty laundry publicly. There's just no benefit to that, David.
David Brody
Yeah, and he's also insinuating that Israel may have been involved somehow, some way, in Charlie Kirk's assassination. That was also a big deal.
Terrence Bates
And then there's that.
David Brody
And then they said, Joe, Really, Joe. As a matter of fact, he just did an interview yesterday in the last 24 hours, saying that if the defense in the Charlie Kirk trial actually asked him to testify about the fact that his investigations that he wanted to look into were stopped, he would do that.
Terrence Bates
Joe.
David Brody
Hello. Tyler Robinson. Gonna walk, Gonna be a hung jury, an acquittal. What is he doing, guys? What is Joe Kent doing, the former Democrat? FYI, I got a lot of questions for Joe Kent, by the way. On a separate note, on a more lighter note, when Mark Levin said, pay attention to me, that is what I like to say. Often pay attention to me. I go around saying that a lot. So there you.
Terrence Bates
Well, David, I wake up paying attention to you. Typically, I wake up rollover, look at my phone and I've got texts for you and I immediately am alert and like, okay, let me pay attention. Make sure I know what David's talking about.
Emily Finn
Great conversation, guys. All right. There is more American Sunrise coming up after the break. Stay with us.
Terrence Bates
I don't want chaos. I want peace. But peace don't come from being weak.

Emily Finn
it is going to be a pretty exciting event. I will say, guys, the thing I'm most excited about though is I get to meet you guys in person at cpacs. That is going to be awesome.
David Brody
Actually, Emily, I'm looking forward to that. To see you. And of course Terrence and Gina. And this is going to be. We'll break bread and we'll have the company for it. Just kidding.
CPAC Announcer
Get ready America.
David Brody
What's going on? Oh, I thought I was being drowned out.
Terrence Bates
Break bread and the country is paying and the company is paying for it. And they were like, get ready America.
Emily Finn
And then glitch. Everything stops.
David Brody
That's right. The company's paying for it.
Terrence Bates
Roll the SAP.
David Brody
No. Okay, listen, here's the thing. Can I just say, think about CPAC for a second. I'll be quick. I hope Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan were at CPAC in 2012. They were the big speakers. Oh, my goodness. Could you imagine today if they showed up? They would show up. They would not be invited. So we've come a long way. What I do like, though, is that Ted Cruz and Steve Bannon will both be there. Hello. Diametric opposites there. So I like that. Let's have it out. Let's speak on stage and do your thing. T. Bates. Do your thing.
Terrence Bates
And, you know, here's one of the things I'm really looking forward to is kind of getting more perspective on how MAGA is impacting politics around the world. The Bolsonaros from Brazil are going to be there. Liz Truss, former Prime Minister of England will be there. The former president or prime minister of South Korea will be there. And so I'm really curious to see and get their perspective on how MAGA is really shaping global. Global politics and global policies. That's really what I'm looking forward to hearing.
Emily Finn
I think that's going to be interesting as well. Terrence, I just want to point out I've been seeing people from other countries, Australia in particular, that they identify as maga, and I'm. Do you know what that means? Is it make Australia great again? Because MAGA is make America great again. So this obviously is having an impact across the whole world.
Terrence Bates
To your point, I would. Yeah. I'm sorry. If I could just say really quickly, I believe that making America great again, that everyone else benefits when America is great. Everyone else benefits when America is strong. And so I think that's part of that. What you're just bringing. Go ahead, David.
Julio Gonzalez
Sorry.
David Brody
No, I was going to say one of the key storylines I'm going to be watching clearly, will be Dr. G at Waffle House. I mean, I think the key storyline here is will she enjoy Waffle House? She's never been. And we cannot wait to take her to Waffle House, because I think that's going to be a huge storyline at cpac. Emily, I don't know about you, but that is what I'm looking for. That's my takeaway.
Emily Finn
Well, I have never been to a Waffle House either, so I think this is exciting for all the girls on the show to.
David Brody
Let's go. Come on. All right.
Emily Finn
Gonna be exciting. Everyone tune in to our coverage. War Room is coming up next. Go boldly now.
Terrence Bates
See you guys later today, guys. Safe travels.
On this episode of American Sunrise, the hosts tackle a dynamic slate of political and cultural headlines through the lens of American values and conservative perspective. The episode’s central theme revolves around the heightened military tensions between the US and Iran, the implications of the Trump administration’s newly unveiled 15-point ceasefire proposal, and broader issues of US foreign policy, midterm election politics, legal controversies, homeland security funding battles, and cultural flashpoints. Regular contributors, analysts, and guests provide rapid-fire analysis and candid commentary, often laced with humor and personal stories.
The Situation:
Host Analysis:
Dr. Gina: Expresses faith in President Trump's “4D chess” tactics and notes concerns among war critics regarding ground troop deployment vs. campaign promises. She ties the success of a limited intervention to GOP midterm prospects ([06:20]).
“If he turns around and takes this and wins it as bigly as I am pretty confident he will… I think that could actually play to Republicans' advantage in the midterms.” – Dr. Gina ([06:20])
David Brody: Argues the deployment signals genuine “boots on the ground” but frames it as strategic leverage (occupy Kharg Island to cut Iran’s oil lifeline), not full-scale invasion ([07:17]).
“They're going to occupy Carg Island…You cut off the economic lifeline.” ([07:59])
Guest: Van Hipp (American Defense International)
“Trying to cut a deal with someone in there who they could work within the interim and guarantee the safety and security of the people.” – Van Hipp ([14:27])
Guest: Armin Kurdian (Retired Navy Captain, GOP Strategist)
Deployment could serve various purposes: limited raids, occupation of strategic islands, or search-and-seizure of nuclear materials—all risky but within option space ([27:16]-[28:07]).
Asserts kinetic action was the only way to halt Iran's nuclear ambitions but warns against prolonging the conflict, expansion to civilian/energy targets, or loss of American life ([31:55]-[33:40]).
“No one wants to see that. ... Once the capability to build these weapons has been sufficiently attrited ... the president is going to have to find some kind of way out of this, stop this war.” – Armin Kurdian ([32:40])
Senate Developments:
House Perspective:
Congresswoman Mary Miller: Blames the DHS shutdown on Democrats “facilitating invasion,” slams sanctuary policies in Illinois amid migrant crime headlines, and calls for “scrappy” negotiation on filibuster changes to pass the Save America Act and fund DHS ([86:11]-[90:26]).
“He will go down in history for being a terrible leader if he cannot get this passed. Definitely the Senate should not be leaving for Easter break.” – Rep. Mary Miller ([87:50])
"If you're going to have a deadline, you have a deadline." – David Brody ([82:47])
The View Controversy:
Legal & Investigative News:
Roundup/Glyphosate Case:
Tax Season and Grants:
This episode packs a comprehensive look at America’s present moment—from urgent geopolitical flashpoints to heated legislative showdowns, legal intrigue, cultural “gotchas,” and sweeping discussions of faith and national identity. With direct and often impassioned exchanges, American Sunrise offers a blend of strategic insight, conservative values, and a dash of humor and community connection.
For those who missed the episode:
You’ll come away with a clear sense of the battle lines on US-Iran tensions, Capitol Hill gridlock over security and immigration, the push for secure elections, skepticism toward certain legal actions, and a reaffirmation of faith and American spirit.
