Terrence Bates
I'm David Brody. I'm terrence.
Emily Finn
And I'm Dr. Gina.
Dr. Gina
Good morning, everybody. I'm Dr. G. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in Emily Finn, who is in West Palm beach, and Terrence Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, everybody.
Emily Finn
Good morning, gina.
Terrence Bates
Good morning, Dr. G. And Emily. Good to see you both. So look, I was talking with Brian Glenn the other day, and I told him that I felt like I was trying to drink out of a fire hose. When it comes to news, because it's always coming at you, there is no let up. One of the latest stories that we're monitoring. Republicans are taking another crack at Department of Homeland Security funding. A vote is expected today. Here's the AP headline. All of that. They're citing Iran again, votes in the House, likely to happen today, potentially also votes in the U.S. senate. All of this, of course, comes after Democrats, specifically Senate Democrats, held up funding for the Department of Homeland, Homeland Security over ICE reform. But, guys, it's time to go ahead and make something happen, to go on and pass this, because our country is now being threatened now that we're at war. Dr. Gina, this has got to get through. It would be, it's already a shame, but it would absolutely be a shame if Democrats were to continue to hold this up, given the current circumstances.
Dr. Gina
This has nothing to do with our current circumstances. This has everything to do with the Democrats wanting to win the midterms and being Machiavellian about it, frankly. And I don't see that letting up, do you? Emily?
Emily Finn
Unfortunately not, GINA. This is what seems to happen in our Congress. You know, we've had the Republicans in control of power, the presidency, the House and Senate, and this was the prime time to get so much done. But unfortunately they haven't. And I think this is going to translate into the midterms. We'll have to see how that plays out next November. Terrence?
Terrence Bates
Well, I hope in times of war that if, in fact, the Democrats continue to try to hold this up, it will absolutely backfire on them because it's shameful. I mean, you have to think about things like this. You've got TSA agents, you know, who aren't being paid, some of them calling in. We know that in the past, airplanes, our airports, have been centers for terrorists to try to attack our country in times of war. Now, you've got to fund those folks, you've got to get them paid, make sure they're motivated to take those extra measures to keep our people safe. And if Democrats vote against that, shame on them. Just my choice.
Dr. Gina
Well, it should be privatized to begin with. We shouldn't be paying tsa.
Terrence Bates
And I know that's your thing.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, through government. It's not constitutional. Anyway. Let's get to today's Bible verse. It's from Romans 8 to 8. And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. And that is probably my most oft quoted to my children. I love that one. All right, over to Iran, where President Trump says the efforts there, he says they're going well, take a look.
David Brody
Somebody said on a scale of 10, where would you rate it? I said about a 15. And we're going to continue to do well. We have the greatest military in the world by far. And that was a tremendous threat to us for many years, 47 years have
Terrence Bates
been killing our people and killing people
David Brody
from all over the world. And I think we have great support. And I think if we didn't do it first, they would have done it to Israel and give us a shot, if that was possible. And if we didn't terminate the worst deal, one of the worst deals ever made, the Obama nuclear deal. I call it the Obama nuclear deal, where he gave everything to Iran, including a nuclear weapon. It was a road to a nuclear weapon. Bad things would have happened four years ago because they would have had a weapon four years ago if I didn't terminate that deal.
Dr. Gina
Let's bring in Texas Congressman Randy Weber. Congressman, you know, if you look at social media, it's a whole mix of people with opinions. How does President Trump work by the midterms to bring to sort of coalesce this division that's really all over the place. I mean, a good 40% of MAGA is in a different headspace than they were certainly in the last election. So what do you, what's your advice? If you were to give him advice today, which I know you don't do, but just play with me here.
Congressman Randy Weber
Well, well, good morning, Jean. And I love Romans 8. 28. We serve a God of love and life. And unfortunately, the Iranian regime, they serve a God of death. And so I think people need to realize that, that President Trump is working to prevent that very regime of death from killing Americans all over the place. If you went back and you looked, Dr. Jean, at some of the times when, when war has been declared by the United States, you know, World War I, World War II, you can pick up those times, but you can pick up the Gulf War. You can pick up when Obama sent missiles into Syria. All of those things in the past, Joe Biden's dismal withdrawal in Afghanistan, all of those things did not have congressional approval. The president did what the president had to do. And I hope people get that. There's people when people tell you they want to kill you, and you know, America's been, they've been calling America the Great Satan and Israel the small Satan for years and years and years that I can remember. When people want to kill you, we should believe that we shouldn't play politics. I know the Democrats don't like President Trump for a myriad of reasons. And I know there are people, Republicans and some of the MAGA people that think we shouldn't be involved in this melee, if you want to call it that. But the truth of the matter is they are the biggest, largest terrorists in the history. I'm 72 years old that I've ever seen. I've been paying attention since Reagan ran free election 83. I've never seen anything like this. And that was, by the way, about when the Beirut bombing happened, if I remember correctly. So I think people should pay attention and say, thank God for President Trump for taking them out, because those idiots can. Terrorists can never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon.
Emily Finn
Yeah, Congressman, well said. They can never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon. I do want to move on to other topics. I know Iran is the main focus right now, but I want to get your take on the CNBC headline, Epstein Files Howard Lutnick volunteers to testify to House Oversight Committee. He has not been accused of any wrongdoing, but he has been to Epstein's private island. The Oversight Committee also subpoenaed Attorney General Pam Bondi. That was quite interesting. What do you see coming out of this? I mean, Pam Bondi said she had a list of Epstein people on her desk. I mean, at the very least, I think they need to question her about that.
Congressman Randy Weber
Well, Secretary Howard Lutnick is doing a great job of leading the Department of Commerce. And look, it's transparency. And that goes for Bondi and letting anybody else, really, even the Clintons, believe it or not. And so I think he's doing a good job. He's willing to go on there. He's willing to testify. And by the way, as you all would know this, the committee is led by Republicans right now. And so the fact that they have got him to come in there and testify says a lot about Republicans. You know, we're going to get to the bottom of this. All the things that happened under Epstein, for lack of a better term, the filth and the degradation that that guy Epstein had, oh, my gosh, perpetrated on all these girls and these young girls and these women, it needs to come to light, and those who were involved in it need to be shown to be for exactly who they are. And I don't think Howard Litnick is one of those, but he's willing to testify.
Terrence Bates
Congressman 72 never looked so good. Part of me wants to talk about your youthful exuberance and how you're able to keep it, but I do want to move on to the upcoming votes that you guys have there in Congress, specifically as it relates to funding for the dhs. We mentioned it at the top of the show. What is your expectation in how today's vote's going to go down? And it's my understanding that it's basically the same bill on the table. The only caveat is we're in the middle of a war now and we need funding for all of our agencies just to keep the American people safe.
Congressman Randy Weber
Well, thank you for the kind words. The checks in the mail terms.
Terrence Bates
I'll take it.
Congressman Randy Weber
You know, it's sad. I've been like. I've been paying attention a long time. Precinct chair, election clerk, election judge in Missouri, county, city council, state legislature. You know, I was in the state legislature for four years before I got demoted to Congress. And I've watched this for a long time. And I'm sad that the Democrats are going to play this out and play this out and play this out. We would love to get the bill passed. Yes, we're in a war. Nobody wanted the war. But look, go back all the way to 83 and the number of Americans that have been killed by the Iranian terrorists. Thank God that President Trump is finally doing something about it. And no, we could not debate it on the floor of the House to see if there's going to be a War Powers Resolution because it would be open for everybody. And this would take days and days and days and days, if not weeks and months, which would give our enemies even time to stock up and do more harm to Americans. So I would hope that the Democrats would put America first. Thank God for the real America that y' all are perpetrating. I'm sorry, y' all are portraying so that people could say America's worth fighting and dying for. And we will not stop until we kill all those enemies.
Dr. Gina
Absolutely. Well, what is your take on where this goes? How big does this broaden? What is the appetite from MAGA for this war? And just what are your predictions? What are you hearing, especially on Capitol Hill?
Congressman Randy Weber
Well, you're going to have those who think that the president should not do anything except with approval from Congress. But as I pointed out, Dr. G, when you play those things out over a period of time on the floor of the House, especially when it's midterms coming up, you know, that's the politics part of this. And sad to say that our friends across the aisle would literally, pardon me, play those kinds of politics when so much is at stake. And let's not forget our great President Trump has not put boots on the ground right in Iran. So they're doing all this with the best army, the best Navy, the best fighting men and women that the world has ever seen. And we should say, thank God for Donald Trump, that he's protecting America, he's protecting Americans, protecting American interests. And not just American. You know this. The Iranians have started bombing even some of their friends in the Middle east now, targeting them with missiles and drones. That should say a world of difference to our friends across the aisle, that these guys are fanatics. They have to be dealt with. We don't have time to debate this.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. You think there will be boots on the ground? We're out of time. But do you think there will be?
Congressman Randy Weber
I don't think so. I don't think so. I think that President Trump has got a plan. Our great military, our fighting men and women, and bless the families and thank God for those who lost their lives and there's maybe more. But I think what you're going to see is we're going to fight this and hopefully until the people around rise up and do something about a better form of government.
Dr. Gina
Congressman Randy Weber Weber, thank you so much for being with us.
Congressman Randy Weber
Thank you doctor. We appreciate Real America's voice.
Dr. Gina
Thank you. We appreciate you right back. All right. Later you all the length of the war with Iran. How long does Israel see this lasting? We have that update for you and so much more here on American Sunrise. Don't go away.

Welcome back to American Sunrise. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is hosting the inaugural America's Counter cartel conference at U.S. southern Command. This conference brings together defense and security leaders from across the Caribbean, Central America and South America. The goal is to coordinate a regional strategy to take on cartels and narco terrorist networks operating throughout the Western hemisphere. The move comes as fentanyl and other deadly drugs continue to pour into the United States. Drugs that have killed hundreds of thousands of Americans. Joining us now with a live look on the ground is RAV correspondent and Breaking Point host David Zier. David, good morning to you. So all of this, of course, comes on the heels of the operation that we're hearing about in Ecuador. And it really is part of the platform of this administration to focus on narco terrorism and more importantly, to eliminate narco terrorism. That's right, Terrence. And Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is
David Brody
expected here a little in a little

Terrence Bates
All right, David, Zier reporting in Miami. As with this conference is set to get underway here in short order with Pete Hegseth. David, we'll be checking in with you throughout the day. Thank you. Okay. Always, always a pleasure. All right, folks, let's switch things up a little bit, get a quick check of your forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony joining us now. Just a quick reminder, go to our various social media platforms, be it get a rumble, YouTube, let us know where you're hanging out. And you may be one of the lucky recipients of Tracy's hometown forecast in our next hour. Tracy, hopefully we'll get to that. As you just heard David Zier say, though, Pete Hegseth will be speaking next hour and we'll try to take our viewers to that. So it may get preempted. But if we're still on the air, Tracy, we'll be looking forward to your hometown forecast. What's the forecast looking like right now?
Emily Finn
Hey, you know, Terrence, we are kind of kicking off spring or meteorological spring with a bang because we are kind of in the middle of a multi day severe weather outbreak. We have several systems that will spark severe weather across areas like Dallas, Texas. They had some strong storms throughout the day yesterday and we're still tracking some of those storms with that first system across parts of the Ohio Valley. So very impressive rainfall rates. You notice we do have a few flash flood warnings here. We've had rainfall rates of an inch to an inch and a half per hour. Now this is all warm, moist air that's lifting north from the Gulf that's leaving nearly 50 million people under dense fog advisories this morning from the Gulf coast all the way up to the Great Lakes. And there's a few spots where we will have some winter weather like the Northeast and the Rocky Mountains out west. So, Terrence, this is a spring like setup. There's lots of activity and really all different weather stories from coast to coast.
Terrence Bates
All right, Tracy, thank you so much. Appreciate it. Up next, a very important phone call. So how did one conversation between President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu set the last few days of events into motion? We'll talk about it. First, though, a quick look at this day in history. 1770, the tensions between American colonists and British soldiers erupted in Boston. After a heated confrontation outside the Customs House, British troops fired into a crowd of colonists. Five men were killed in that in what became known as the Boston Massacre. The incident sparked outrage throughout the colonies and helped fuel the growing movement toward the American Revolution. More American sunrise coming your way after this break.

for healing, learn more and sign the pledge@workingwithcancerpledge.com. Welcome back to American Sunrise. A phone call between President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu helped accelerate military action against Iran, Axios reports. Netanyahu shared intelligence about a rare meeting where Iran's supreme leader and several top advisers would be gathered all in one place. US Intelligence confirmed that information, increasing the urgency for a strike, and President Trump authorized the operation days later. For more, let's bring in former Israeli government spokesperson Elon Levy. Elon, thank you so much for joining us this morning. I understand that you are in Tel Aviv right now. Tell us what it's like.
Elon Levy
I am in Tel Aviv where Israel has lifted the state of emergency and people are trying to get back to their normal lives. We had three sirens in the middle of the night, two today, but we're determined to keep morale high and back the US Israeli coalition as they finish the job against the bad guys who want to Kill all of us, Elon.
Terrence Bates
Finish the job. Describe what that would mean for you, or how does that look? Yeah, how does that look? What is finishing the job?
Elon Levy
Finishing the job means two things. One, destroying the Iranian regime's ability to continue waging aggression against its neighbors. And America. It means destroying all of the ballistic missiles, the ballistic missile launchers, the ballistic missile factories. It means destroying the secret, illegal nuclear weapons program. It means destroying the Iranian regime's ability to support its terrorist proxy forces throughout the Middle east and give our neighbors a chance to break free from the clutches of the Iranian regime. And finishing the job means giving the brave Iranian people a chance to rise up and take their country back so they can build a country that is free, democratic, and at peace with its neighbors. Because we all understand as long as Iran is governed by a regime that will pour billions of dollars and stop at nothing to bring death to America and death to Israel, there can be no peace. So, best case scenario, the Iranian people take their country back, but we'll settle for taking away the Iranian regime's weapons so it can't hurt or threaten us.
Dr. Gina
Okay, The New York Times headline reads like this. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's son emerges as leading choice to be his successor. How is this going to be. How is this going to be a change that produces good things?
Elon Levy
It's not. And that's why President Trump is warning Iranian officials, you have two options. Surrender or die. He's putting American leadership back on the table and telling the Iranians, you can lay down your arms and receive total immunity and work with us, or you can continue to fight us and face certain death. The US Israeli coalition are done with the Iranian regime exporting terrorism, violence. A regime with so much American, Israeli, Arab, Iranian blood on its hands, wanting more. And that's why President Trump says Iranians are getting in touch, because they want to defect. Look, you would have to be suicidal to want a leadership position in Iran right now. This war began with an astonishing Israeli strike that killed 40 of Iran's most senior leaders in 40 seconds, including the tyrant Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. So Mojtaba Khamenei II is a hardliner. He is not going to support peace. And that is why it is important that America is keeping up the pressure on the Iranian regime so that they, even if they pick a hardliner, will not have the weapons with which to blackmail America and can definitely not get nuclear weapons.
Emily Finn
Yeah, absolutely. And as you said, that strike really was astounding. I mean, it was a powerful show of force, taking out all of these leaders all at once. But at the same time, no one wants to see violence. No one wants to see killings. And here in the US Endless wars is something that we keep hearing a whole lot about. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that United States and Israel strikes on Iran will not turn into endless wars. Netanyahu said the goal of the military campaign is to eliminate Iran's nuclear and missile threats, as you keep pointing out, Elon, and to protect both countries. He praised President Trump for supporting the operation, saying the strikes are necessary to stop what he calls a dangerous regime in Tehran. How long do you see this lasting? No one wants an endless war. How long do you see this conflict playing out?
Elon Levy
Yeah, this is not going to be a forever war. Because the whole point is to stop the forever war that the Iranian regime has been waging against the United States and its allies. The U. S. Israel coalition are acting fast. The two most powerful air forces in the world, as Secretary Hegseth called them, bombing thousands of targets in Iran because we want to get this over quickly. So we're looking at probably weeks. There is a large target bank because the Iranian regime has scattered its ballistic missile and nuclear programs all throughout the country. But Israel and the US Are moving very quickly together because this is about ending the threat from the Iranian regime that has been lashing out and bombing every country in the Middle east and definitely not starting a longer war, which is absolutely not something we want. Israel has been under attack from the Iranian regime and its proxy armies for the last two years. They started this war. We're determined to end it.
Terrence Bates
And to your point of ending the war, it seems to me that there's a different motivation here because the war isn't just with Iran. IDF forces have also gone into southern Lebanon right now and are fighting Hezbollah there. It seems to me that the motivation is to truly get this done once and for all.
David Brody
All.
Terrence Bates
Not to just piecemeal a war this time.
Elon Levy
Yes, Israel is taking action against Hezbollah because Hezbollah joined the war on the side of the Islamic Republic. It has been firing barrages of missiles at Israeli cities. I've had to run to shelter because they fired ballistic missiles at Tel Aviv. The days when terrorist forces could fire ballistic missiles at Israel and get away with it are over. The October 7th massacre, the opening shot of a regional war by the Iranian axis, has backfired spectacularly in the face of the Iranian regime. All the terrorist leaders who plotted that are now dead. The Iranian terror axis is weaker than ever. And Israel is determined to end the threat against its civilians so we can have the kind of security that Americans take for granted and not have to run to the bomb shelter all the time because radical Islamist terrorists are firing missiles at us. So this is a regional war that the Iranian axis has been waging, and Israel is determined to end that war and end that war by crushing the terrorist forces that will stop at nothing until they kill everyone in Israel and everyone in America for that matter.
Emily Finn
Elon Levy, thank you so much for joining us today. Appreciate your time.
Elon Levy
Pleasure as always.
Emily Finn
Thank you and stay safe there in Tel Aviv. Coming up, Doctors say losing your vision isn't just about getting older. It's often about lifestyle choices. What changes should people make? We have the facts next on American Sunrise.

Green tea is actually really good for your eyes as well. I put it in my tea because I drink black tea all day. But I put the green tea in my black tea so that I get green tea every day.
Terrence Bates
So does that make it winter green tea?
Dr. Gina
Perhaps it makes it black.
Terrence Bates
I was trying to think black and green. What color does that make? Just a darker green probably. Anyway, Anyway, stick around, Dr. Gina, because we want to talk more about Iran, where operations continue. White House press secretary Caroline Levitt touted the progress that's being made so far
Emily Finn
at the beginning of Operation Epic Fury Launched last weekend, President Trump laid out clear objectives to the American people on what the US Military seeks to accomplish through these major combat operations. Number one, destroy the regime's deadly ballistic missiles and completely raze their missile industry to the ground. Number two, annihilate the Iranian regime's navy. And so far, we have destroyed more than 20 Iranian ships, including their top submarine last night using a torpedo. For the first time Since World War II, there is a a single Iranian ship underway in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, or the Gulf of Oman. Number three, Operation Epic Fury will ensure the regime's terrorist proxies in the region can no longer destabilize the region or the free world and attack our armed forces.
Terrence Bates
Dr. Gina let's bring in Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn to discuss more. Senator Blackburn, always good to see you. Good morning.
Emily Finn
Good morning. Good to see you.
Terrence Bates
So, look, by most metrics so far, the war effort has been very successful. Yet some of your Democrat colleagues in the Senate are trying to limit President Trump's war powers. Of course, there was that massive vote that failed yesterday. Why are they playing politics in a time like this?
Emily Finn
They have Trump derangement syndrome. They just cannot get out of their way. And you look at what they're doing now. Iran has been at war with us for 47 years. We know that. You look at the thousands of Americans who have lost lives or have been injured because of Iran and their activity. You can go back to 1979 where they took control of the embassy. Then you look at the embassy bombing in Beirut. You look at what happened with the coal. You can bring it to October 7th. And along the way, all of the Iranian proxies, about a dozen of them, including Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, Yemen. And you know that the majority of the budgets of these organizations has come from Iran. Iran has gotten that money from oil sales. Iran is who has been supplying Russia with drones to use in their war against Ukraine. So Iran and having the ayatollah removed, this is a positive step that ends the reign of terror. And there is hopefulness that the Iranian people, the resistance, will step forward and take control of their government.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. I'm so torn because I want to ask you about a bill you introduced, but I also want to follow up so badly. Quickly. Can I ask you, is there a danger then that the terrorists just all flee to the west anytime soon?
Emily Finn
What we are having to do is make certain the terrorists are apprehended. And, Dr. Gina, we have to realize that during the four years of Joe Biden's administration, our borders were open. We know from Homeland Security investigations, which by the way, the Democrats have defunded. Now, we know that there are 18,000 known terrorists in this country. We do not know about the number of gotaways known and unknown gotaways that could have been terrorists that are also in this country. And Homeland Security investigations, our federal law enforcement, they are trying to locate, apprehend, detain and remove these individuals from our country as we speak.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. And that goes right to a bill you introduced called the Migrant Crime Reporting Act. It would encourage states to track and publicly report crimes committed by illegal immigrants. The states would send the data to the Department of Homeland Security and post it online. Also, supporters say the bill will help increase transparency and keep communities informed. This is really badly needed to secure everything that President Trump has already done.
Emily Finn
Indeed it is. And in Tennessee, our district attorney's conference had done a report on migrant crime, including the deaths that had been caused by illegal aliens. Every state should do this so that we can correlate this information and know where these illegal alien criminals are located.
Dr. Gina
By all means, Senator Marsha Blackburn, best of luck getting that passed and thanks for being with Terrence and me this morning.
Emily Finn
You got it.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Senator.
Dr. Gina
Have a great day. All right, coming up, Texas GOP voters passed Prop 10, which banned Sharia law in that state. What does this mean, though, for the future of the GOP platform we're going to analyze next on American Sunrise.

Republican primary voters across Texas have overwhelmingly backed a proposal to ban Sharia law in the state. Unofficial results from the March 2026 primary show nearly 95% support for the measure, known as Proposition 10. While the proposal is non binding, party leaders say it could shape future legislation and the Texas GOP platform heading into the next legislative session. RAV and the war room team have been helping fuel the movement. Take a look at this.

Proposition 10 is the single most important vote we can do, we're going to tell them, take your Sharia law, and

David Brody
95% for Proposition 10. I just want to make sure people understand it's very simple to vote for the Senate and the top racer at the top to get to the proposition, particularly proposition 10 at the very bottom of the side, the overwhelming support to get 1.9 million votes. And really more than the combined for Cornyn and Paxton. Cornyn alone spent $80 million in this. This is a testament. Now the real work begins.
Emily Finn
All right, let's bring in Terrence and Dr. Gina for more. Terrence, want to go to you first on this. 95%, you know, against Sharia law. That's great. It's not surprising to me. I think that that obviously should be a thing in America, and I think this needs to happen in Michigan, in Dearborn, Hamtramck next.
Terrence Bates
You know, it's funny that you mentioned Michigan, because I would have expected this sort of thing to come up in Michigan, not Texas. You know, Texas is such a red state. It is such a patriotic state. And so for this sort of ballot measure, referendum, to even make it onto a ballot in Texas is pretty unique to me, pretty surprising. But the response, not at all surprising. Obviously, there was an overwhelming rejection. But I also think what we're seeing from Texans, and I think you can extrapolate this to many Americans, is that this is a call for other cultures who come here to the United States to assimilate to our ways, to assimilate to our norms and our values. And this is, again, an overwhelming referendum on that. This is Texans saying, we are America and we expect if you come to this country that you do things and you follow our value system. You're not going to bring your own to this country.
Emily Finn
Dr. Dina?
Dr. Gina
Yeah. Well, many would say, of course, that those terrorist values, the Islamist values, are totally incompatible with Western culture whatsoever, which presents a huge problem. I think I was writing about this about 10, maybe 15 years ago and being called radical for it. But it's just the truth. You know, we study psychology and we take it seriously when it comes to, you know, analyzing our marriages or relationships or job plans. But we completely throw it out the window when psychology experts all over the world have consistently said that Islamist culture is not compatible with Western culture. It's a fact. It has been tested, data tested, again and again. Now, one more comment I wanted to make about this is how important it is that a true conservative like Ken Paxton ultimately gets in that Texas seat. There we need real conservatives who are really willing to fight Sharia law, who will toe the true America first line on this. I think it's really critical. All you have to do if you want to see how bad the results are when Sharia law seeps in and it does, it seeps in. People don't even realize it's happening and all of a sudden it has happened and then there's no turning back. All you have to do really today probably is go to Texas, but you can just go to Europe and see, especially in England, places like Manchester, it's another country from what it was even just 10, 20 years ago. And so the whole thing to me is really terrifying. EMILY and Terrence yeah, it certainly is.
Emily Finn
And 10, 20 years ago, I don't know if it was necessarily radical. I think people just thought that it was like this will never happen in America. It wasn't necessarily radical to speak out. People just thought you were crazy cuz it was like, okay, this will never be a thing. But look at where we're at now 10, 15 years later. So we need to keep talking about this, need to keep making sure that, you know, cities all over the US States all over the US Are making
Terrence Bates
a stand terrance and more importantly, rejecting these sorts of ideas, continuing to reject them. And I'll just even take it a step further. Dr. Gina we also need to then root ourselves in biblical principle not only in terms of how we vote but also in terms of our actions politically, policy wise and otherwise. That's the best way to reject this sort of radicalism.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, it'd be really nice to see all those women's rights groups caring about women who are subjected to rape and other tortures under Sharia law. Wouldn't it? Emily Absolutely.
Emily Finn
GINA Great discussion this morning you guys. Coming up, did the Bible predict the rise of Iran and its role in a war against Israel? We have the answers next on American Center Rise.
Terrence Bates
God bless the USA
David Brody
in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
Terrence Bates
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's now time for our moment of faith which is brought to us by by Lee Greenwood and the God bless the USA Bible in focus. Today, many just aren't aware that the Bible forewarned in remarkable detail the rise of Iran and the end of times and its role in a prophetic war with Israel. As history unfolds before our eyes, many are asking, could the current showdown between Israel and Iran be the war of Gog and Magog which was foretold by the prophet Ezekiel, the host of Coming Home, which you can see right here on the weekends on rav. Tiffany Shuttlesworth, not to be mistaken, with his son, joins me now. Mr. Shuttlesworth, good afternoon or good morning to you.
David Brody
Good morning to you as well, Terrence. Great to be with you today.
Terrence Bates
I'm looking forward to this conversation. So walk us through this prophecy, please.
David Brody
Well, it begins in Daniel. Daniel. In the Old Testament, one of the major prophets prophesied the fall of Iran, which, of course, in Bible terms was Persia. And the Bible went on to prophesy that Persia, after that empire had fallen, would remain in a place of total dysfunction and disrepair until prior to the soon coming of Christ. And that's exactly what we've seen here in recent years, is we've seen Iran enter into the arena of what many are speculating is this the beginning of the setting up of of the Gog and Magog war in Ezekiel, chapter 38 and 39.
Terrence Bates
All right, this Gog and Magog war, explain that to us. I'm not the best historian and definitely not well read on this particular issue. So explain this war.
David Brody
Well, Ezekiel 38 and 39 is very detailed. It speaks of Gog. Gog is a leader, and then Magog. And Magog is a land. And the Bible is very specific as to the geography of that land. It speaks of it being to the far distant north of Jerusalem, which is Russia. So again, if we were to layer that prophecy into our current settings, we're talking about an upcoming war with Russia at current time. And I'm not saying that Vladimir Putin is Goggle, but there will be a Russian leader who has a lust for the reestablishment of that empire. And Gog is a man. Magog is a land. And The Bible identifies 15 specific nations by name. Persia, of course, being Iran, is one of those nations that will come into agreement with this allied force led by the leader of Russia. And that's what many in the field of eschatology are focused on right now. Are we watching this emergence of Iran from the dust and being a major player obviously in headlines every day currently, are we watching the chessboard of Gog and Magog being set up?
Terrence Bates
Big picture, these prophecies ultimately call us to draw closer to God. It seems to me that that's the ultimate story here. That is the ultimate call that as the end of times may or may not be nearing, we all need to build a relationship with God, with Jesus Christ, so that we hopefully know where we're going once everything is said and done.
David Brody
Yeah, I've taught on Bible prophecy for five decades. And I always tell those that are intimidated by the subject, God didn't give us Bible prophecy to scare us. God gave us Bible prophecy to prepare us. And I always tell people, if the only thing you ever learn about Bible prophecy is one verse in the Bible, I would recommend Matthew 24:44, where the Bible said, be ye also ready for in such an hour as you think not the son of man cometh. And that's what our program here on RAV Coming Home is going to be, focusing on helping the average person hold a Bible in one hand, understand Bible prophecy as it pertains to world events, but not being frightened, finding a peace and a hope that every day a person can have that knowledge, that if the Lord were to come today, it's well with my soul, so to speak.
Terrence Bates
It is well with my soul. I love that. Mr. Shuttlesworth, we'll leave it there. Good to meet you, sir. Good to talk with you. We appreciate it.
David Brody
Thank you, Terrence.
Unknown/Minimal Speaker
Have a great day.
Terrence Bates
You as well. We're back with the second hour of American Sunrise after this. Coming up on this second hour of American Sunrise, Senate Republicans have successfully blocked an attempt by Democrats to limit President Trump's military actions in Iran, thus clearing the way for combat operations to continue in that region. We'll have analysis straight ahead. Plus, New York State Attorney General Letitia James says a hospital in Manhattan must resume transgender surgeries for children after the Trump administration ordered those surgeries to stop. We'll unpack the details for you. Also ahead, new polling data reveals that most likely midterm election election voters still consider the economy to be the top issue facing Americans today. We'll talk about what's unfolding as the election season intensifies. Those stories and so much more coming up on the second hour of American sunrise.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to AMERICAN sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Emily Finn
And I'm Dr. Gina.
Terrence Bates
Welcome back to this second hour of American sunrise. I'm Terrence Bayes coming to you from our Denver newsroom. Let's bring in Dr. Gina and Emily Finn. They are in our West Palm beach newsroom or in the palm beaches, as Dr. Gina often says. Ladies, a busy hour ahead. We are waiting for Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to host another news conference or another event. It's basically focused on narco terrorism here in this hemisphere. And it's an issue that the administration, Dr. Gina, has been focusing on and will reaffirm then today.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, I think this is a great thing. I think this is something that Republicans should even be playing up more than they are if they want to do really well in the midterms. Because this is an issue, as I've said from the very beginning, that affects everyone. Everyone knows someone who has lost someone because of narco terrorists and you can draw those exact lines and that matters, and that's lives saved. I don't know what the exact statistics are right now in terms of how many drugs they've kept out, especially focusing specifically on fentanyl and all the rest. But, you know, the numbers are big when illegal immigration is basically shut down completely. And, you know, I think as everybody tries to take a really full throated look at what Republicans, and particularly the Trump administration has accomplished, this is one that often gets left in the dust, Emily. But it shouldn't.
Emily Finn
No, it certainly shouldn't. I will say this administration is certainly making moves and making changes. Pete Hegseth has been really busy this week. He's got a, he's juggling a lot of balls in the air at the same time. Terrence. It'll be interesting to see what he has to say.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. One of the biggest balls that he's juggling has to do with the war in Iran. The Trump administration's war there continuing to wage. On this morning after Senate Republicans rejected a bill aimed at stopping the conflict and demanded congressional approval for any further attacks. The measure failed by a 47 to 53 margin. A similar House measure scheduled to be voted on this morning is expected to face a a similar fate. Meantime, more and more Americans across the Middle east are being evacuated and brought home. At last check, the State Department was confirming that nearly 18,000 U.S. citizens had returned to U.S. soil. Preparations are underway to bring the bodies of those six American soldiers who were killed by an Iranian drone attack in Kuwait home. So far, no date for the dignified transfer has been made public. We do know President Trump intends to welcome the fallen heroes home. The Pentagon confirms that two of the troops who were killed were from Iowa. The others were from California, Florida, Nebraska and Minnesota. And today could be the day President Trump drops his endorsement. In Texas Republican Senate primary incumbent Senator John Cornyn is facing former Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in a runoff after both failed to win a majority of votes. On Tuesday, President Trump expected to hitch his wagon to one of the candidates well before the May 25 runoff, taken to Truth Social, as you can see here on your screen, the commander in chief writing I will be making my endorsement soon and will be asking the candidate that I don't endorse to immediately drop out of the race. We must win in November. 47, goes on to say that almost everyone he endorses wins, especially in Texas. That's a quick check of your headlines. We'll have more coming your way in just a little bit. But now let's get a quick check of your forecast with Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony. Tracy, one of my favorite parts of the show, your hometown forecast. Good morning.
Emily Finn
Hey, good morning. Yeah, we're going to start off in Ashland, Nebraska. So this coming in on YouTube from Eric and Eric, your forecast. Temperature wise, it's going to be roller coastering the next couple of days. We have several systems rolling over the Rockies and out into the plains. So a little rain on Friday could have a few rumbles of thunder as well. And then once again, Tuesday, it looks a little bit different when you post the temperatures like this. So this is typical for spring where the roller coaster temperatures are going to stick around for the next couple of weeks. But up into Monticello, New York, 36 degrees today, so chilly. We do have a warm front working through that is going to bring kind of a wintry mix of weather. But the good news for the Northeast is our temperatures are on the uphill climb. We're going to be in the 50s for the weekend and 60s for early next week. And for Taunton, Mass. This is from Desert Eagle on Getter, a similar situation, 30s, two more days of it, and then it's really going to feel like spring with those temperatures getting into the 50s and 60s now very active, as we do have severe weather that's going to be expected the next couple of days. So today, tomorrow and even into the weekend, we'll be tracking widespread severe weather. So spring is here and it's coming in with a bang. Terrence.
Terrence Bates
All right, Tracy, thank you so much. Have a great rest of the day. We'll talk to you tomorrow. All right, folks, let's get you to continuing coverage now of the latest developments in the ongoing conflict with Iran. Senate Republicans voted on Wednesday to block War Powers Resolution or a war powers resolution that would have forced the administration to halt military action without new congressional approval. That measure failed by a 47 to 53 vote, with most Republicans backing the president's authority as commander in chief. Rand Paul was the only Republican to break with his party and support this resolution. Joining us now with reaction is national political reporter Neal McCabe. Neil, good morning to you. I would imagine that the atmosphere there at the White House is one of laser focused, particularly when it comes to Iran. That has seemed to be kind of the posturing of the administration.
David Brody
Yeah, absolutely. The war is job one. And as you mentioned, the president is planning to attend the dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base and obviously, you know, working with the Pentagon and we assume that Secretary of War Hegseth will address the war today, even though he's focusing on narco terrorism and obviously with Southern Command and Ecuador taking its action the other day. It's interesting with the War Powers act though, you know, Fetterman and Rand Paul switching votes a lot of times that's arranged ahead of time, but I don't think it was arranged this time. I think that both men sincerely voted the way they did. But I was glad to see so many of the other sort of shaky or weak sister Republican senators coming in line for this vote.
Dr. Gina
Neil, there's ongoing concern and speculation out there that the Trump administration may invoke the Defense Production Act. This would hopefully boost munitions production. Many out there, especially on social media, concerned about depleting our supplies as American forces remain heavily engaged against Iran and other parts of the Middle East. What is the real how bad is this first of all and what can be done about it? Do you think the president will be successful in boosting that supply and how long will it take?
David Brody
Yeah, well, first of all, this White House does not want to speak about COVID Of all the things in Trump 45 that they like to talk about, they don't like to talk about COVID But one of the successes I guess you could argue is they're using those same laws and rules to move forward on ventilators and vaccines and other things. So I think that these are muscles that the White House has already flexed in its first term. They're ready to flex them again and the legal findings and all the paperwork's already been done so they can just copy and paste and fire this thing up. I am concerned, however, about the army pre positioned stock in Kuwait and Jordan. The Biden administration depleted those stocks and sent that the artillery pieces, the weapons, the bullets, the shells, the trucks. They sent most of that to Ukraine. There was enough there equipment and other things to support three brigades and the Biden administration depleted it. There are about 10 sites of army pre positioned stock all over the world. The idea is you don't want the troops. You don't want to have to send the troops and their equipment. You want the equipment and everything. There's you just fly in the troops, they jump in the trucks and they go. So I think that is a big concern and I think that's sort of holding back any kind of idea of boots on the ground because we have to replenish those stocks.
Emily Finn
Yeah, Neal, all eyes are on this right now, but I do want to get your take on on this as well. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz testified before lawmakers regarding the widespread fraud in his state. That was quite the clown show yesterday. Republicans grilled the governor on that fraud while Democrats attempted to turn the conversation to the Trump administration's immigration crackdown. Neil, what is the reaction to this in Washington?
David Brody
Well, I don't want to say that Washington has moved on, but Washington has really moved on. I think the Democrats saw an incredible opening as Minnesota and that Arctic Frost operation sort of made the headlines and the protests and whatnot. But this White House recognized that it was a chain of events that they may have lost control of and they shut it down. They got agreements for cooperation and they sort of moved on. We'll see what happens with DOJ and Vance if they really go after the fraud. You know, you don't want an 18 month investigation. You want a three month investigation and you want trials and convictions. I think the Democrats feel that they had a win in Minnesota and they're trying to sort of do a victory lap. I don't see that either. I think the base was very upset about the way the operation in Minnesota ended. And I think that the Trump administration and certainly this White House recognizes that. And that's why they're going to be re engaging on immigration certainly on the other side of this war, if there is another side.
Terrence Bates
Neil, 30 seconds. We talked just a little while ago about our munitions stockpile. President Trump will host several defense contractors at the White House tomorrow. One has to imagine that these are at least initial conversations about boosting that stockpile and boosting our arsenal.
David Brody
I think the key thing is that the traditional defense contractors, your Boeings, your Raytheon, your Lockheed Martin, those guys have been bloated, become bloated bureaucracies with sweetheart relationships with people inside the Pentagon. And so you're going to see new contractors, innovative industry leaders, up and coming industry leaders bringing new ideas and faster production. And that's going to be absolutely key. What we have now the White House says is not working. Certainly Hegseth complains about the production times and People are going to have to change that. And that's what's going on.
Terrence Bates
It's going to be interesting to watch. Neal McCabe reporting for us from the White House. Always good to see you, my friend.
Dr. Gina
Thanks, Neil.
Terrence Bates
Coming up, New York's Attorney general was threatening a Manhattan hospital demanding that it restart gender treatments for kids. All of this after President Trump's order shut them down. The showdown is over. Children's medical care is next.
Emily Finn
Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily Finn. Time now to drain the swamp. And this morning, we are flushing out New York Attorney General Letitia James. James is now ordering NYU Langone to restart gender transition treatments for minors after the program was shut down following President Trump's executive order protecting children from chemical and surgical mutilation. In a scathing letter, James accuses the hospital of violating state anti discrimination laws and jeopardizing care for what she calls a vulnerable population. Her office is now warning of further action if the hospital doesn't comply by March 11th. For more, let's bring in Terrence and Dr. Gina. Gina, this is something that I just can't believe is even a debate in America today. It is so infuriating and so frustrating. I can't believe that we're even having this conversation.
Dr. Gina
Well, we shouldn't be, because the data is clear. Once again, the Democrats love to talk about science when it means locking people in their homes and away from their loved ones in hospitals and nursing homes so that they can kill them. But they don't care about anything like that when it comes to the reality of what they're doing to these children. Emily, the suicide statistics are through the roof. Suicide rates once a child actually does transition is 12 times higher than if they do not transition. And so when you have data like that. We've known this since the 70s, Emily. It's not like this is new data. Terrence.
Emily Finn
No, it's certainly not.
Elon Levy
Yeah.
Terrence Bates
Dr. Gina, sorry to interrupt, though we do want to take you to Pete Hegseth. He is speaking right now in Florida. Let's listen. And we can see him at the podium.
David Brody
Buenos dias. Welcome to Doral, the United States Southern Command, for the America's Counter Cartel Conference. This was pleasure to meet many of you last night at the reception and even better to see many of the friends and teammates we met last month at the CHODs conference in Washington, D.C. secretary Hegseth, sir, thank you for hosting this vital gathering and your enduring leadership. Each day you're ensuring the security, stability, and prosperity of the United States and the Entire hemisphere. I'd also like to welcome and thank the Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Assistance to the President of Homeland Security, Mr. Stephen Miller. The Undersecretary of War for Policy, the Honorable Eldridge Colby, who'll be joining us virtually today. The Chief of the National Guard Bureau, General Stephen Nordhaus Spock. Thank you very much for being here. The Assistant Secretary of War for Cyber Policy, the Honorable Katherine Sutton, the Acting Assistant Secretary of War for Homeland Defense and the American Security affairs, and my now best friend, Mr. Joseph Umayr. The Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Homeland Defense, the American Security Affairs, Mr. Mark Dibelson, and the Senior Advisor to the secretary of war, Mr. Eric Garrison, Mr. Patrick Weaver and Mr. Philip Hegseth. And welcome most importantly to all of our partner nations, ministers, ambassadors and leaders joining us today, thank you all for being here today. We stand together at a very critical moment. Narco traffickers, drug cartels engage in campaigns of terror, violence and corruption to enrich themselves and expand their insidious influence. They are poisoning and killing all of our nation's citizens. These sophisticated networks flood our streets with fentanyl, cocaine and other drugs that kill at a higher rate than any conventional war. This is the single gravest threat to security in our region and across our hemisphere. To counter this threat, the United States is guided by the strategic vision of peace through security set forth in both the United States National Security Strategy and the National Defense Strategy. These documents give our military a clear mandate in the Western Hemisphere to defend the US Homeland and increase burden sharing with our allies and partners to do so. We are your premier partner to work with, by, with and through your nations to achieve shared objectives. But when necessary, we will not hesitate to act. Operation Southern Spear and Absolute Resolve are proof of this commitment. Through these efforts, the United States is combating narco terrorism and drug trafficking and and most importantly, restoring deterrence. The Western hemisphere is our neighborhood and the narco terrorists who seek to export drugs and death to our shores and your shores will be dismantled and defeated. As allies and partners, we must take aggressive action together, sharing the burden through cooperation. We now call upon our long standing relationships built on a foundation of trust, trust and link. Through shared culture, history and economic aspirations to unite for the benefit of all of our nations. Our mutual security is at stake. Through combined operations, training, exercises, intelligence and information sharing, we will achieve greater domain awareness, interoperability and capacity to strengthen regional security. With all nations shouldering this burden, our collective resilience will prevent shared adversaries from using the region to further their maligned agendas. The time is now. Today marks the next step towards moving out to deter and defeat those who threaten the security, stability and prosperity of the United States and this hemisphere. We all face these threats. And the most effective way to counter and eradicate them is by standing together. Before I turn the stage over, Mr. Humayer, I'd like to once again thank you for your stalwart partnership. Your participation here sends an unmistakable message to partners and adversaries alike. We are taking the fight to the narco terrorists and the cartels. Not only are we redoubling our commitment to defend the sovereignty and security of our nations, we are doing it together to realize our common vision of a safer, stronger and more prosperous Western hemisphere. Let's get to work.

Thank you. General Donovan, ladies and gentlemen. Performing the duties of Assistant Secretary of War for Homeland Defense and America's Security Affairs, Joseph Hu Meyer.
Unknown/Minimal Speaker
Good morning. And I'd be remiss if I didn't begin by thanking my new best friend, General Donovan for your excellent remarks and frankly, for your excellent teamwork here at Southcom. Your team has truly been amazing at putting all this together in just a matter of a few weeks. So thank you. In general, I'd also like to begin by acknowledging a special team of senior advisors and defense officials who, if not for their efforts, and not just today, but over the last several months, we frankly just wouldn't be here today. So a special thank you to Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Divilson, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary Strasbourg, Mr. Eric Garrison, Senior Advisor Mateo Haydar, and a special sincere and heartfelt thank you to senior advisors Philip Hegseth and Patrick Weaver. If it wasn't for you, frankly, this would not have happened to all our interagency friends and foreign partners. This is truly a historic moment for the United States, for the Western Hemisphere and for the world. In the room today, we have senior leadership from the Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, National Security Council, Homeland Security Council, Office of National Drug Control Policy, Office of the Vice President, and of course, the White House. I'm honored to be here with you today as Secretary Hexis, Acting Assistant Secretary of War for Homeland Defense in the Americas. Welcome everyone to the first America's counter cartel conference in history. Every morning before I enter the Pentagon, I say a prayer in my car to our Heavenly Father. And I do this because I'm blessed. I'm blessed to be able to work in a once in a lifetime administration, to work for a once in a generation leader, President Donald J. Trump. And frankly, if it wasn't for President Trump, none of us, including our foreign partners, would be here today. President TRUMP, Secretary Hegseth, Mr. Stephen Miller. Our leadership today understands an empirical truth that all the leadership of the United States missed for decades, if not centuries. They missed the fact that the Americas is an extension of US Homeland defense, that hemispheric defense is a part of US Homeland defense. And this statement of fact is now reflected in US policy through the 2025 National Security Strategy and the 2026 National Defense Strategy that correctly places the Americas as a regional priority. Just think about where we were a little over one year ago today. And those of you that know me, know that I've been working and studying on regional issues for more than 20 years. So I can confidently say that in 2024, prior to President Trump, I had never seen the Americas in worse shape. Prior to President Trump, there was record breaking illegal mass migration that was collapsing our border and many of the your borders as well. There was record breaking deaths of Americans from deadly drugs that was transiting through your countries and stealing your sovereignty. The explosion of transnational organized crime in every single country throughout the Americas was destroying our shared region. If you think about it, before President Trump, we were breaking all the records for all the wrong things. And it was even worse because there was a growing false narrative throughout the region that was taking hold that said you cannot win a war against major cartels and gangs because they are too powerful in some cases and even in some countries, frankly, they were giving up and adopted a pottery. If you can't beat them, join them. That's not tolerable anymore. Not for the United States, not for your countries, and not for our neighborhood. If you look to your right and you look to your left, you will find partners that are willing to fight with you. And if we collectively fight together, there is no gang, there is no terrorist, there is no cartel that is more powerful than us. We are here today because each of you has committed to doing your part. And that commitment cannot just be lip service. This must come with a new approach and a new normal to dismantle and destroy our shared threats of cartels and narco terrorism. There'll be a lot of discussions today on a myriad of topics, but I really want to quickly emphasize two that are central to this effort. Border security and deterrence. If you do not control your borders, you do not have a country. Border security and territorial integrity, as President Trump has shown, is possible since 1648, since the Peace of Westphalia, sovereignty has been the bedrock of human flourishing. You do not have a democracy if you do not have your sovereignty. And you cannot have sovereignty without borders. Open borders make transnational organized crime fundamentally transnational. And you do not combat transnational crime with transnational institutions. You fight it with borders and national sovereignty. If we remove the transnational from transnational, organized crime becomes a local problem, becomes a solvable problem. The second point is on deterrence. Interdiction, while necessary, is not deterrence. Dialogue, while useful, is not deterrence. Failing to control your prisons, your borders or your waters is not deterrence. Going on offense is deterrence. Operation Southern Spear shows that the deterrence is taking lethal and bold actions. And our goal is for every partner in this room today to start leading deterrence focused offensive operations against your cartels. And finally, to wrap up, I want to make a point about geography, because geography in this hemisphere is indispensable to security. I mean, the secret sauce of Latin America and the Caribbean to be a regional priority for the United States. It's not the size of your trade, it's not your populations or your military. It's because we are always going to be connected because of our shared geography. The United States understood this going back to 1815, when two leaders in a relatively young Department of War pushed back against their own establishment that time not to look north or to look east, but rather to look south. Department of War back then fought and won the Battle of New Orleans in 1815 that connected the United States to what is now the Gulf of America. And that moment, 210 years ago, connected my country to yours. And just a few years after that, these same two leaders led the Department of War to fight another war on our southern border, the Seminole Wars. This time to protect our borders against Indian tribes that trespassed our land, raided our towns and killed Americans. We ultimately won these battles and transferred the great state of Florida in 1821. And then a mere two years later, one of these leaders declared something called the Monroe Doctrine. The legacy of then Secretary of War James Monroe, who later become president. James Monroe and Major General Andrew Jackson, who also later became President, defines the challenge that we have before us today. They say history doesn't repeat itself, but it tends to rhyme in our interest over the shared geography is the same today as it was 200 years ago. Today the Department of War once again has historic leadership under Secretary Pete Hegseth, committed to working with all of you to secure the Western Hemisphere once and for all. Thank you. God bless you.

There's been a paradigm shift under President Trump in the Western Hemisphere in the last 14 months. Some of that was touched on by the earlier speakers. But just to restate it, we are not going to cede an inch of territory in this hemisphere to our enemies or our adversaries. Our national security, our homeland security, the safety and well being of our people begins at home, begins in our neighborhood, begins in our home region. And for too long, we have allowed foreign enemies, foreign adversaries, and enemy terrorist organizations to control territory and spaces in this hemisphere where they can project power, project threats, and directly threaten the lives of your citizens and our citizens. So, under the leadership of President Trump, we are using hard power, military power, lethal force, to protect and defend the American homeland. Not a single one of your nations should tolerate the existence of a single square mile of territory that is under the control of any entity other than the sovereign governments of your country. The idea that we would have, in this hemisphere areas that are under the physical control of foreign terrorist organizations, paramilitary organizations, is completely unacceptable. The cartels that operate in this hemisphere are the ISIS and the Al Qaeda of the Western Hemisphere and should be treated just as brutally and just as ruthlessly as we treat those organizations. We have learned after decades of effort, is that there is not a criminal justice solution to the cartel problem. There are elements of the problem that require criminal justice solution, to be sure. But just as we fought Al Qaeda and fought ISIS with the tip of a very lethal spear, the reason why this is a conference with military leadership and not a conference of lawyers is because these organizations can only be defeated with military power. And I see some heads nodding up front because they understand you're dealing with a lot of lawyers in your own country. I'm sure you have my permission not to listen to them. The key condition of human flourishing, of prosperity, is order and security. A country cannot pursue economic growth, cultural enrichment, art, architecture, education, science, if it doesn't have fundamental security first. And for too long, we've been caught in a vicious cycle in this hemisphere where countries from Mexico down to the tip of South America do not provide their citizens with basic physical security. So those citizens in search of economic opportunity illegally immigrate to the United States. They pay the smugglers, they pay the cartels, who then grow richer, who then go more powerful. And then your countries, in turn become poor because you've lost your citizens, you've lost your human capital, you've lost your opportunities to develop and to grow. You get poor, the cartels get more powerful. Nothing changes, nothing improves. You have to break that cycle. You have to completely sever it. And that begins by dismantling these organizations that deal drugs, deal violence, assassinate, extort, blackmail, and also traffic illegally in human beings. That is a form of terrorism, too. Illegal immigration facilitated by criminal networks is a form of terrorism. And those who are stealing your children and stealing your families and stealing our human capital are part of that terrorist continuum and should be thought of as such. It is not a victimless crime when people are paying human smuggling organizations, because that money then fuels assassinations, it fuels violence, it fuels instability, and it continues this cycle for decades. A lot of organizations were sent to your countries. These are known as NGOs. I think you know the term non governmental organizations. And they gave you very, very bad advice for a very, very long time. And basically they told you, in short, that you needed to be softer and gentler and nicer to the criminals and that you had to demilitarize your approach and extend more rights and more opportunities to the people who are sabotaging and destroying your society. I would make the point to you, as others have pointed out before, including the president of El Salvador, that the west only achieved the place that it did in human history because it spent previous centuries eradicating the criminal elements within its territories. So the west that we came to know that had the great music and architecture and science and the most powerful economy, it had spent centuries previous to that establishing order first. So that by the time you get, you know, to say, 18th century England, 19th century England, there have been centuries of previous history in which ruthless means were used to get rid of the people who were raping and murdering and defying established systems of order and justice. And then when people could live freely and peaceably and children and families and women could be saved, then it became possible to pursue all of these higher elements of life. So when people who are coming to countries like yours that have had struggles and difficulties and pains and challenges, and they're telling you anything other than first and foremost secure your countries and your territory, they're giving you not only terrible advice, but advice if someone had come to Europe centuries ago and they had followed that advice, Europe would have never became the Europe that eventually. And the reason why many Western countries are struggling today is they've forgotten the eternal truth and wisdoms they once followed. And that's why here, under President Trump in America, we are returning to those fundamental truths. We're returning to those fundamental principles. So I'll just close by saying that you will have in President Trump, in the White House, in the Department of War, the Department of State, and the whole of our government, unwavering support, unwavering commitment and fidelity in achieving this mission, which is very simply to eradicate the criminal cartels and terrorist organizations, to deprive them of control of weapons, spaces, institutions and territory. And the human rights that we are going to protect are not of the savages that torture and rape and murder. The human rights that we are going to protect are of the peaceable citizens who have an absolute human right to live in physical safety and security every day of their lives. And in that mission, I promise you, we will be your closest partner. Thank you.
Emily Finn
Ladies and gentlemen, it is now my distinction pleasure to introduce our Secretary of War, the Honorable Pete Hegseth.
David Brody
Well, good morning, everybody. Well, General Donovan and I are pleased to welcome all of you to Southern Command this morning. I'm honored to be the first Secretary of War to lead a hemispheric defense conference like this in more than 30 years. This conference is about you. This conference is about us. This conference is not called the America Apostrophe S America's Counter Cartel Conference. It's the America Counter Cartel Conference. This is about what we together can do. You know, it's been more than 200 years since our nation struggled for independence from foreign rule. The War of 1812 was about the United States defending its independence and protecting its territory. A 47 year old Carolinian who was a major general in the army. As was mentioned, Andrew Jackson defeated a British army almost double the size. Addressing his troops after victory at the Battle of New Orleans, Jackson declared, Natives of different states acting together for the first time have reaped the fruits of an honorable Union. His success galvanized a young country. In 1816, our country elected a Revolutionary war hero as president. President James Monroe fought in the Continental army leading a charge against German mercenaries fighting for the British. The enemy fired a musket ball at him. It severed his artery and he almost died. But the young captain rallied and grew to be Governor of Virginia, Secretary of War and one of our greatest presidents. In 1823, President Monroe said that the United States owed the success of that young country to the candor and amicable relations with other powers. To affirm our national policy, President Monroe declared we should consider any attempt on malign countries to extend their system to any portion of this hemisphere as dangerous to our peace and safety. It was the Monroe Doctrine of 1823. And today, some 200 years later, we still marvel at the wisdom of President Monroe's declaration. We, like you, want borders and sovereign territories that are secure. We want unfettered access to key terrain and trade so that our nations can industrialize. And we want to prevent external powers from threatening our peace and independence in our shared neighborhood. This is the essence of the Monroe Doctrine. No external power will interfere in this hemisphere. Ours should be a region of strong sovereign nations. It's the same principle that animates President Trump's defense approach. Today, President Trump and his Department of War are ushering in a new era of homeland and hemispheric defense rooted in the unique heritage of our nation and your nations. Under President Trump, we restored the Department of War. You see, the Department of War was established by General George Washington and served our nation from its founding through our hard fought victory in World War II. Many of your countries also once had ministries of war. Under President Trump, our nation has a newfound resolve that our founders would recognize. As Stephen alluded to and spoke to, they would recognize it and they would appreciate it. We are at long last putting America, Americans and the Americas first, ensuring peace through strength and restoring common sense at our department. We're doing it by restoring the warrior ethos, rebuilding our military to historic levels and re establishing deterrence in this hemisphere, hemisphere and around the world. For too long, leaders in Washington and their foreign policy functionaries abandoned the simple wisdom of the Monroe Doctrine. They were consumed with the United States only going abroad. They ignored the warnings of President John Quincy Adams who said that if our nation went overseas only in search of monsters to destroy, that we would cease to be the ruler of our own spirit and our own backyard. Under previous leaders, we grew obsessed with every other theater and every other border in the world except our own. These elites reduced our power and presence in this hemisphere, opting for a benign neglect that was anything but benign in your countries. Many leaders accepted the status quo to coexist with narco terrorism or for a law enforcement alone approach that failed to deter and dismantle threats. Same happened in our country under the previous administration and the result of this collective neglect was fatal. More than 1 million Americans were killed by Fentanyl, cocaine and other drugs numbers greater than any casualties we've sustained in war. Millions of illegal aliens invaded our borders and destabilized nations across the hemisphere. Under Joe Biden's administration, the human smuggling industry exploded by more than 2000% from a $500 million so called industry in 2018 to 13 billion by 2022. Cartels of terrorists across our hemisphere, enabled by adversaries, created and profited from chaos. What creates chaos? No leadership creates chaos in our nation. Narco terrorist groups like Trende Aragua prospered. They raped, they poisoned, they murdered innocent Americans. They terrorized our cities, our towns and our neighborhoods like they do yours across this region. These gangsters control and terrorize large swaths of your territories, kill thousands of your people and promote chaos that makes normal life sometimes almost impossible. Crimes spiked massively this our hemisphere has one eighth of the population, yet one third of the violent crime. There's a reason for that. America's retreat from protecting its citizens and the complacency of many. That's what it was. A great betrayal against our people and our nations. While President Trump recognizes the wisdom of the Monroe Doctrine and the days of us betraying and endangering our own citizens are finished. President Trump has re established the Monroe Doctrine. The Trump corollary of the Monroe doctrine, or if you'd like for short, you can just call it the Don Roe doctrine. Under President Trump, securing America's interest in the western hemisphere and keeping our homeland safe are our top national security priorities. The president's historic national defense strategy ensures that the Department of war will prioritize resources around the threats and objectives that are core to homeland defense and the people and prosperity of the American people. And to start, the Department of war is once again defending our borders as a priority of our national defense. With our law enforcement partners, we are defending our borders and making our streets safe again. Crossings at our southern border, at the U. S. Mexico border have dropped to the lowest number in history. Murders nationwide have plummeted by more than 20%. We now have operational control of our southern border. Zero people are crossing our southern border. We will not rest until we have complete operational control of every inch of all of our borders. So it starts with us. We're addressing it, but we're not stopping there. Under President Trump, for the first time in history, Department of war is on the offense against narco terrorists as well. I should back up a step though, in order to get 100% operational control of our border. We didn't just look at border Patrol and say, that's your job. It's a law enforcement function. We deployed the United States military. Right now, the division Command of the 101st Airborne is in operational control of the southern border. We ensured that the most capable assets we had in our country were deployed to our own border to defend that border against the narco terrorists and drug dealers seeking to enter our country. Not treating it simply as a law enforcement function, working with our partners, but recognizing it's a core military function. But going on offense with Operation Southern, Spear has restored deterrence against the narco terrorist cartels that profited from poisoning Americans. Last month, we went a few weeks without targeting a single boat.
Congressman Randy Weber
Why?
David Brody
Well, because we couldn't find a whole lot of boats to sink. And that's the whole point, is to establish deterrence from narco terrorists who have been able to traffic almost unfettered. And if the consequence was simply to be arrested and then released, well, that's a consequence they'd already priced in a long time ago. A new dynamic had to be put in motion in order for their decision cycle to change. And when adversaries are forced to move out of comfortable positions, as you know, as military men and women, they're more vulnerable when they're moving in a different direction, which is also the point. Drug overdoses that kill our citizens have dropped. Flows of fentanyl, a weapon of mass destruction, are down 56%. We will continue to destroy these threats. In January, US forces raided and arrested the most dangerous house and the most dangerous compound inside the most fortified fort, the capital city of Caracas, of two indicted individuals, Nicolas Maduro and his wife, fugitives of the US Of US Law. Operation Absolute Resolve showed the bravery of America's best our war fighters. Nobody can do what the United States of America can do. It's not even close. President Trump has shown what is possible when you reject the status quo delusion that threats to our homeland and our hemisphere are somehow now secondary. America is prepared to take on these threats and go on the offense alone if necessary.
Unknown/Minimal Speaker
However,
David Brody
and it is the goal of this conference that in the interest of this neighborhood, we all do it together with you, with our neighbors, and with our allies who are eager and willing and capable to do this. To work together, we must first acknowledge what was lost and then understand what needs to be restored. All the nations represented in this room are offsprings of Western civilization. Our nations are and always will be united by our heritage, our history and geography. In this new world, we share the same interests. And because of this, we face an essential test whether our nations will be and remain Western nations with distinct characteristics, Christian nations under God, proud of our shared heritage with strong borders and prosperous people ruled not by violence and chaos but by law, order and common sense. Or whether we are permanently torn apart by something else, led astray by competing forces, radical narco, communism and narcotyranny which threaten our people, borders and sovereign lands in the name of a false sovereignty or a false peace. Uncontrolled mass migration which overwhelms domestic resources intended for deserving citizens and drives unchecked crime and unchecked violence. Or the belief in so called globalism that seeks to erase our distinct national identities in the name of tolerance, erase our borders in the name of compassion and erase our warrior ethos and that which makes us strong in the name of so called diversity and political correctness. One of the dumbest phrases in military history, which used to be echoed from the former Defense Department in the previous administration. They would say it over and over and over again, was our diversity is our strength. It's the single dumbest phrase in military history because what is our strength is our unity. Our strength is in our shared purpose in the training we do together, the capabilities we can do together in our context, the Constitution we swear an oath to defend together, the uniform we wear together. That is our strength. We reject other notions and offer a new choice. We must defend our national interest and restore our national identity. Otherwise the outcome is the same. Our hemisphere will be poorer, more dangerous and weaker. This matters not because we seek to preach to you about culture, wars or ideologies, or to tell you how to run your countries. We're not here to tell you how to run your countries. Instead, it matters how we assess the threats facing us and the choices that we make on how to overcome them. That is what will define our destiny. President Trump understands that today's threats to border security and key terrain in our hemisphere are existential questions for our nation and for all of yours. When adversaries conduct incursions in this hemisphere off the coast of a US State, Alaska, or off the coast of Greenland, or in the Gulf of America or the Caribbean, that is a direct threat to the United States homeland and to peace in this hemisphere. When adversaries control ports or infrastructure along strategic chokepoints for US and hemisphere trade, such as the Panama Canal, or install military facilities just miles off our shore, that is a threat to the United States homeland and peace to this hemisphere. When terrorist killers and cartels capture strategic infrastructure, resources and entire towns or cities close to U.S. borders and U.S. shores or profit from mass legal migration that is a threat to the United States homeland and a threat to all of you as well to the Americas. The same adversaries that threaten our shared heritage threaten our shared geography as well. They seek to displace the historic north south relationship that that we've always shared with some sort of a new Global south that excludes the United States and other Western nations, but includes non Western powers and other adversaries. The answer to our challenge is not to ignore our geography in the name of global interests, but to embrace our shared geography in the name of national interests. That is why President Trump has drawn a new strategic map from Greenland to the Gulf of America to the Panama Canal and its surrounding countries. At the Department of War, we call this strategic map the Greater North America. Why? Because every sovereign nation and territory north of the equator, from Greenland to Ecuador and from Alaska to Guyana, is not part of the Global south

immediate security perimeter in this great neighborhood that we all live in. Each one of these countries border either the North Atlantic or the North Pacific. Each one of these countries sits north of the two basic geographic barriers that exist in this region, the Amazon and Andes Mountains. This is basic geography that we don't teach in schools as much as we should, and it restores our north south relations, and we must get it right. In the north, the United States must enhance posture and presence in cooperation with you and our sovereign partners to defend our shared immediate security perimeter in the south, meaning south of the equator, the other side of this great neighborhood. We will strengthen partnerships through increased burden sharing. This will enable you to take a greater role to defend the South Atlantic and the South Pacific and to secure critical infrastructure and resources in partnership with us and other Western nations. This is what we did in World War II, just like we sunk ships with torpedoes in World War II. At the Department of War, we called it the quarter sphere defense. And we will do this again. If we are serious about our national security security and if we prioritize geography, business as usual will not stand. This means that for every country in this hemisphere, border security must be your top priority. Border security is national security. President Trump said it when he first started to run. You're not a country if you don't have borders. And he's right. President Trump sealed our border by directing the military to mobilize resources and personnel to stop invasion by cartels and other criminal actors. You can do this as well, and many of you have. This also means that you too can and must go on the offense against narco terrorists. We've had great collaboration with many countries in recent months. And I want to thank every country in this room that has supported our access to find, fix and finish cartel targets. We have only just begun to work with you. More must be done by you and by us to target narco terrorist groups across all domains. We will dismantle narco terrorist networks in this hemisphere and we will deny access to the state adversaries who support them. We will correct the mistakes of the past, the mistakes of the so called Global South. I want to thank General Donovan, who has been an excellent partner and a great new leader here at Southern Command. One of the great mistakes of the past was that our leaders didn't provide the US Southern Command with the support that it needed. It was a command chock full of lawyers and social workers and NGOs, law enforcement. That's changing. General, I'm directing my team to correct these historians historic failures to ensure that your command has the resources and staff that you need for this robust mission ahead. It's the least we can do. I want to absolutely thank you. It's about time. But it's not just us at the Department of War and it's not just Southern Command. This is across the Trump administration. This is across the Department of War as well. Stephen Miller, thank you for your support and your leadership, your clarity, understanding why this matters to each American citizen and why the War Department is central to ensuring that it happens. It doesn't happen without President Trump, but it doesn't happen without your clarity and your leadership. I want to thank General Nordhaus as well for your support at every level. There's so many to thank. I see Corey Lewandowski here from the Department of Homeland Security. Doesn't happen without the Department. Homeland Security. This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human.

Spirited, unapologetically patriotic, highly critical of Democratic policies, and relentlessly focused on security and sovereignty. The conversation combines earnest faith, cultural commentary, and hardline, action-oriented rhetoric. There is an undercurrent of urgency about American strength and a strong alignment with the Trump administration's America-first worldview.
This episode is action-packed, brimming with conservative analysis and interviews with lawmakers and officials. It covers everything from global conflict and national defense to state political initiatives, while interweaving biblical prophecy and cultural conservatism.
