This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human.
David Brody
Hey, it's Bobby Bones. You know Eddie and I recently stopped by. Yeah, in Nashville. It's an incredible nonprofit empowering kids through music education. Thanks to Hyundai. We recorded a special podcast episode while we were there. How do you think learning an instrument helps kids with confidence?
Dr. Gina
Learning an instrument allows them to discover a little bit further of who they are and be comfortable with it and then share a little bit about that with others. And if it's done in an environment that is celebrating and championing them, then that confidence can only go up.

And I'm Dr. Gina. It is really Monday. I mean, it's Monday, but it's like extra Monday because with daylight savings time, which I can't stand the way it switches back and forth, personally, I'd like it gone, but it's so dark in the morning here for such a long time and it makes everybody drive slow. That's what I've noticed. Good morning, everybody. I'm Dr. Gina. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David Brody. He's in Washington, D.C. and Terrence Bates in our Denver newsroom. I'm stuck on the song by Captain and Tenille. I believe love will keep us together. Terrence, I'm just going to wager that that's a song you actually like a little bit.
Terrence Bates
I do like that song, even though I must admit there are some country songs. I probably couldn't name any of them, but there are some country songs that I would appreciate as I love your eclectic taste in music. The other day you were listening to Usher and I was gonna tell you that you and my wife would get along on Usher, just in general. She's a big Usher fan, loves that music as well. And so I was like oh, yeah. A glass of wine and Usher and they'll be best friends.
David Brody
Glass?
Dr. Gina
I never thought of a glass of wine with Usher. Did you, Brody?
David Brody
No, no, I never thought of that. I thought of a glass of wine with Captain and Tenille, especially after I listened to a whole album of Captain Tenille. I need a few bottles of wine.
Dr. Gina
Hey, now, don't be bagging on Captain and Tenille. That's.
David Brody
No, I love it. Love will keep us together. Love it. You run the gamut, Gina. I mean, Usher to Captain.
Dr. Gina
Antonio, do you have record players? Do either of you have a record player?
Terrence Bates
I don't.
David Brody
No, I don't have a record player.
Dr. Gina
I have record players all over my house. And it's connected. You can connect it now to your Sonos system. And I just got my Don Henley album. I was very excited about that. We have some news tonight.
David Brody
That's awesome.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, there is lots of news, even though I would like to talk more about your musical taste. So, look, the war in Iran is spreading. It's continuing to become even more a regional issue, with Iran attacking some of its neighbors. But it's also raising questions back home about the potential for a draft. A lot of parents asking questions of the administration, the administration, in short, saying that nothing is off the table. Here's White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt.
Dr. Gina
Mothers out there are worried that we're going to have a draft, that they're going to see their sons get in
David Brody
and daughters get involved in this.
Dr. Gina
What do you want to say about the president's plans for troops on the ground? As we know, it's been largely an air campaign up until now. It has been and it will continue to be. And President Trump wisely does not remove options off of the table. I know a lot of politicians like to do that quickly, but the president, as commander in chief, wants to continue to assess the success of this military operation. It's not part of the current plan right now, but the president, again, wisely keeps his options on the table.
Terrence Bates
So, look, we've talked about red lines for MAGA for, really the last week or so. Boots on the ground, I think we've all agreed, would be a red line. And a draft, I think, would probably be another red line. I'd like to get your perspectives. David, we'll start with you.
David Brody
There's not going to be a draft, so everybody needs to slow the roll. First of all, you don't answer hypotheticals. It was a goofy question. First of all. First of all, Congress has to authorize a draft. It has Nothing to do with President Trump. He just signs it. So let's get this idea out of our head that President Trump says, okay, let's have a draft, and there's a draft the next day. Doesn't work that way. And once again, because you don't answer a hypothetical, this whole thing's getting way blown out of proportion. And what is Caroline Levitt gonna do with a question like that? Well, no, we're definitely not going to institute the draft. We're definitely not gonna have boots on the ground. She can't get ahead of the president. She's not gonna say that. She'll get in trouble. So, I mean, that's the way I see it. Gina.
Dr. Gina
I don't know, David, you know, maybe she could have said what you said, and I think it might have true. Given. Might have given moms just a thought. I think it might have given moms across the country a little bit of, you know, we just. This is the thing. No war ever starts out as a big war. Right? They always start out slow. We're always told it's not gonna be a forever war. And I do trust President Trump create a forever war, but the reality is he's only president for a couple more years, and what happens beyond that? Are you kidding me? The military industrial complex in this country loves war. Our Congress people are paid to love war. I'm not saying all of them, but I'm saying obviously there are people with standards, but there are fewer and fewer of those in Congress. And I just don't like. I don't like the way this whole thing is sounding. I'll tell you what, I talked to someone very inside this weekend who told me this war is going to expand dramatically. I believe it. I didn't like that. Not inside the administration, by the way. Inside the sort of the war machinations, if you will. I don't like that. I don't like the sound of that. I don't think that's what people voted for. And I just think, look, people say, why aren't you on President Trump's side this whole time and all of this? And I am on President Trump's side. I love our President Trump. But I think it is up to the voices within maga, our audience, this audience, to be sure. We are constantly reminding that we don't want a long drawn out war. And so that's the reason why I think we like this, too.
David Brody
Yeah, but that's the reason why they're gonna expand it because victory is paramount and it has to happen quickly. We're not gonna just sit around and just kind of go one toe in the water. We're going all in for victory. I'm all for it.
Dr. Gina
From First John, chapter 4, verse 12. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us and his love has been perfected in us. President Trump calling on the Senate to pass the Save America act quickly and said he won't sign another piece of legislation prior to this. Trump posted on Truth Social. It must be done immediately. It supersedes everything else. It must go to the front of the line. I as President Trump will not sign other bills until this is passed and not the watered down version. Go for the gold. Must show voter ID and proof of citizenship. No mail in ballots except for military illness, disability, travel, no men in women's sports, no transgender mutilization for children. Do not fail. Good messages. Good, strong messages. The things that MAGA voted for this president to do and say. So we want to bring in Missouri Congressman Bob Ander. Congressman, let's see, our children were playing with your children back in the day when your husband. My husband.
David Brody
Oh, boy.
Dr. Gina
That started a whole new rumor. My husband and you were serving together in the Missouri legislature. And so that means, I think if I'm doing math correctly, you also have military aged children. And any talk of a draft to a mom of three, I know your wife Allison is probably going, huh? Man.
David Brody
Yeah, yeah. No, Dr. Gina, I agree with David. There's not going to be a draft. And I don't think Carolyn Levitt should have answered that hypothetical question. I think actually she was answering the question, will there be boots on the ground? There will not. I agree. That's a red line for maga. It's a red line for the people who elected me. But as the representative of the commander in chief, she couldn't say that. She had to say, you know, something more neutral, like we can't rule out anything in particular, which is true in theory, but no, we can. I believe we need to step back, ask what are the, what is the goal here? What is the case for taking military action that, that, that benefits the American people? And I think preventing a nuclear Iran mission, and I think it can be done without ground troops or very minimal ground troops. So, no, I don't think this will be a prolonged war. I don't think the American people or MAGA would support a prolonged ground war. Yeah, I was gonna say you Republicans, I felt like Joe Pesci in. What was that movie? My Cousin Vinnie, you guys Youse guys are meeting in Miami today regarding the GOP conference and the road forward. I'm going to assume that Republicans better hope that this Iran conflict doesn't become not only a forever war, but if we're having the same conversation in two months, that's a problem. Well, David, I would tend to agree with that. I've said for a long time that the outcome of November's election will hinge on how the economy is doing. And I think we were on the right track. Inflation is definitely way down. We had terrific economic growth in the third quarter of last year. The fourth quarter was hindered by the Schumer shutdown, which lasted 43 days. But real wages were up. Home mortgage rates were down for the first time in some time. A lot of things were going the right way, but boy, oil prices hitting $100 a barrel, prices at the pump hitting soaring. You know, I think it's in the interest of the United States and in the interest of the Middle east and the world that this and quickly that we destroy Iranian nuclear capability and then that we get out.
Terrence Bates
Congressman, let's get back to the SAVE act really quickly. The president really putting a power move in place, saying, look, nothing else moves until the SAVE act moves. Obviously, I'm taking some liberties there, but that's ultimately the point. Do you think the Senate will respond? And how quickly might it respond? Because there's urgency at this point.
David Brody
Well, Terrence, I sure do hope so. Our right to vote is our most cherished, our most precious right as citizens of a constitutional republic. And if someone votes illegally, let's say an illegal alien, that person is literally stealing your vote. So we need to pass the SAVE Act. Non citizens should not be registered to vote. No one should vote without being able to show a photo id. And I agree with the president. Mail in voting, aside from the military or travel or illness, just ought not to happen in person. Voting on election day is the gold standard for election integrity. And I also applaud the president for prioritizing protecting our kids from transgender mutilation, something I'm working on in my push for the Chloe Cole Act. But I'm with the president on this.
Terrence Bates
But will John Thune actually make something move? Will he mobilize to get this thing over the line? He's got the options to do it. Will he? That's the ultimate question.
David Brody
Or he can't? He certainly needs to. And, you know, I think not only the president, but I think the House has very little appetite for passing Senate bills until the SAVE act election integrity in this critical election year is prioritized. I just want to quickly clarify something. I mean, Thune can move for sure, like you're saying, but Murkowski, Collins, Tillis, McConnell, I can go on and on. There are not enough Republicans to vote for the talking filibuster. So Thune can move, but it's going to be, it's not going to pass is the point. Yeah. Well, one thing I would point out, too is that we can do much more with reconciliation bills where you only need 50 votes in the Senate and J.D. vance to break the tie. We can do much more by reconciliation than we have. Remember, in the House version of the one big beautiful bill, we completely defunded Planned Parenthood, we defunded transgender surgeries and other treatments. We passed the REINS act, but that was all knocked out by the Senate parliamentarian. John Thune has kept around Harry Reid's parliamentarian. So the Democrats did Obamacare, they outlawed our private insurance, they passed arpa, they passed the ira, all by reconciliation. That's really what John Thu needs to do.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
David Brody
Yeah.
Dr. Gina
And it'd be great if the Republicans in the Senate ever actually exercise the filibuster that they have. Congressman Andre, thank you so much for your time. We appreciate you being here.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Congressman.
Dr. Gina
All right, thanks for coming up. We're going to check out the hottest headlines from the RAV newsroom with T. Bates. T. Bates. T. Bates. And also later, combating the cartels. How is the Trump administration planning to do that now? We have those updates coming up soon on American Sunrise.

Iran has its next supreme leader. After Mojtaba Khamenei was named the new ruler of the embattled Islamic Republic. The 56 year old, is one of the sons of the late ayatollah who was killed in US Strikes just days into the current war. Khamenei has never been elected or even even appointed to a government position and he's said to hold even more hardline stances than his father. Meantime, while you were sleeping, Iran ramped up attacks on Israel and its neighboring Gulf countries. Also happening over the weekend. The US Military confirming a seventh death related to Iranian retaliatory attacks. The latest death happened in Saudi Arabia where the soldier was stationed. Two people are in custody this morning in connection to a bomb that was set off outside New York City Mayor Zoran Mandani's home during an anti Islam protest. In a statement, Mamdani writing such hate has no place in New York City. It's an affront to our city's values and the unity that defines who we are. He goes on to write, quote, the attempt to use an explosive device to hurt others is not only criminal, it's reprehensible and the antithesis of who we are. Investigators say the two suspects in the case haven't been charged yet, but reportedly told law enforcement that they were inspired by watching ISIS videos online. You can see the guy with the device here and then jumping over the barricade. The duo appears to be Muslim like Mirami and were targeting protest organizer and pardoned J6 or Jake Lang. The NYPD bomb squad says the homemade bomb could have caused some serious injury or even death. That's a quick check of your headlines. We'll have more headlines coming your way in just a little bit. But now let's get a quick check of your forecast with Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony. Also, a reminder, log on to our various social media platforms, be it Getter Rumble or YouTube. Let us know where you're hanging out and where you'd like a forecast. And Tracy might hook you up in the next hour with a forecast for you or a hometown forecast. First, though, here she is with more on the severe weather that's really threatening much of the United States. Tracy, good morning.
Dr. Gina
Good morning. Yeah. Last week we had several days with active severe weather Friday evening in Southern Michigan. This is seen on Saturday once the sun came back up. But devastation as homes were destroyed as EF2 and EF3 tornadoes tore apart the area. Tulsa also impacted over the weekend. And now we're kicking off another multi day severe weather threat across parts of the plains and out east. So for the day today, it's going to be areas like Memphis down through Jackson Mississippi. Tuesday, another system rolls off the Rockies. Now that's going to impact areas from the Great Lakes down to the Texas border. And then it's going to start to shift east by middle midweek. So millions once again under that threat for strong to severe thunderstorms. And what's fueling these storms is once again that heat. So areas of the Central Plains all the way to the east coast between now and Wednesday will have the potential for record high temperatures. We're talking 150 to close to 200 record potential high temperatures. So Terence, it's feeling a little more like summer at this point, but it's severe storms.
Terrence Bates
All right, Tracy, thank you. I'll take higher temperatures though. As you know, I don't like the cold. I'm a warm blooded person. So I'll take it all day, every day and twice on Sunday. Thank you, Tracy.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
Terrence Bates
All right. Up next, President Trump versus Cuba. The commander in chief says he's looking forward to the change there, but what would that ultimately look like? We'll have X Expert analysis. First, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date in 1959 that the first Barbie doll made her debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York City. The toy was created by Mattel, co founder on the ruth handler. The 11 inch fashion doll was the first mass produced toy in the United States with adult features. Handler was inspired after seeing her daughter imagine adult roles while playing with paper dolls. Named after her daughter Barbara, Barbie quickly became a global icon and one of the most successful toys ever created. More American Sunrise coming your way in two minutes.

the US Capitol. The sun shining down on it. It's going to be a beautiful day in the swamp today. 70 degrees and sunny. Hello, 76 and sunny tomorrow, by the way. Welcome back everybody to American Sunrise. All right. Iran has a new supreme leader. Reports say Mujtaba Khamenei, the son of the late and not so great Ayatollah.
Terrence Bates
He's dead.
David Brody
He's in hell, by the way. Well, the son has been named to take over the country's top post. The move comes after his father was killed in a U S. Israeli strike amid escalating conflict in the region. Clearly, he has a death wish as well as must run in the family. Mujtaba Khamenei was previously sanctioned by the United States and is known for his Close ties to Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard. All right, for more, let's bring in Pennsylvania State Senator and retired Army Colonel Doug Mastriano. Doug, great to have you here. All right, take us through it. Doug, square this with the MAGA agenda. There's some in MAGA that are saying, hold on, I'm not liking where this is going. So take us through it. Doug, good morning. Good morning. It's great to see you guys. I'm part of the movement as well, but, but look, America is better off when Iran is reined in. And, and this is the first president in 47 years. You know, I was around for the Iranian revolution, saw the Shaw flee to America and Jimmy Carter's cow cowardice and America's citizens help for 144 days. So how is taking out Iran in America's interest in America? First, since 1983, Iran has waged a war, a proxy war against America. It started off in Lebanon during a peacekeeping mission in 1983, killing 240 some Americans just in a barracks attack. And then they wage war constantly. A colleague put out a list and gave it to me. And there's tens of thousands of Americans that have been killed by Iran, directly or indirectly. That includes Afghanistan and Iraq where the Iranians were funneling high speed IEDs that could penetrate our vehicles and killing American soldiers all the time. And so Iran is a destabilizing force. They're behind Hezbollah in Lebanon, they're behind Hamas and the Hamas attack on October 7th. They're behind the troubles in Yemen and even in some part in the horn of Africa where we have troops deployed. So Iran has done nothing but evil in the region. And with Iran with new leadership and a leadership that the people can trust and follow, that's not going to wage war on its neighbors, which Iran today is doing. America is better off.
Terrence Bates
Well, to your point, in that last point, that America is better off with leadership in Iran that's not going to wage war on its neighbors. Mostaba Khomeini is not that guy. He is more of the same, maybe even worse, which strikes even more fear, at least in my heart. Maybe I'm just a coward like that, but I'm very concerned about Khomeini.
David Brody
Yeah, obviously the hardliners just don't get it. If they want this war to end, it has to be a moderate transitional government. We will have a say. I mean, you got to, you got to admire Donald Trump. You know, he has neutralized Iran. Cuba seems to be on the ropes. Maduro is in jail Venezuela is coming out as a partner now internationally. Okay, so that was one aspect I addressed before. The second part is Putin, you know, Vladimir Putin in Russia and then, of course, Xi in China. This is rolling back their allies. You know, Iran has been friends with Russia and with China, you know, as a counter to American interests in the region. Venezuela has been, as well as Cuba. This is a crazy time here. It looks like we're going to have peace in the Western Hemisphere with Donald Trump additionally declaring a de facto war on the cartels across the region here. This is serious change we're seeing here. It's. It's nice having an adult in charge.
Dr. Gina
Well, speaking of adults, President Trump also said the US Is looking forward to great change coming in Cuba. Here's what South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham had to say. I know we all want to hear from Lindsey Graham this morning, right?
David Brody
Wait till you hear this. I'm not looking for a fair fight. If we get in a fight, I want to win it. I want to win it quick. I'm in Miami. You see this hat? Free Cuba. Stay tuned. The liberation of Cuba is upon us. It's just a matter of time now. You see this hat? Make Iran great. President Trump said the only way to make Iran great is for the people to take over. We're marching through the world. We're cleaning out the bad guys, going to have relationships with new people that will make us prosperous and safe. I've never seen anybody like it. This is Ronald Reagan. Plus, Donald Trump is resetting the world in a way nobody could have dreamed of a year ago. He is the greatest commander in chief of all time. Our military is the best of all time. Iran is going down and Cuba is next.
Dr. Gina
Oh, so much I could say right there. But I'm just going to say send that little right over to you.
David Brody
I mean, you know, gotta love it. That was a mic drop. Because Cuba is in crisis. They have fuel shortages thanks to Venezuela being taken out. There's blackouts across the entire nation. It's literally a grid failure a couple days ago. Millions of people don't have power. The economy is collapsing. They're running out of food and have shortages. No energy. There's unrestricted. And it looks like Donald Trump indicated I'm going to quote him because Cuba's at the end of the line. No money, no oil, bad regime. And he said, they want to be a deal so bad. So this tells me that right now, Marco Rubio and others are in Cuba negotiating with the leadership there. They see the writing on the wall. You know, peace through strength. That was Reagan's term in the 80s. Nobody's done it as good as Donald Trump. Wow. I'm just amazed as a strategist, what's going on here. We might see a peaceful transition in Cuba now as well. And we're talking about a revolution that happened before I was born. Okay, but, Doug, I mean, straight up, listen, I'm for the war, okay? But Lindsey Graham, I mean, my gosh, put down the Red Bull. I mean, we're marching through the world. That was the quote.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
David Brody
I mean, you know, is it not time to slow the roll there? I get, I. Listen, I get it. But if you think about what Trump's doing here, right. Venezuela, I get the reasons for each one. Venezuela, we're about to see. Cuba, apparently talked about Greenland before. You've got Iran. I mean, they are marching through the world, and that scares the bejesus out of people.
Dr. Gina
And we have dead troops. You know, like, he shouldn't be gleeful about this. It's one thing to say it, Doug, don't you think? But it's another thing to be so happy about it, because war isn't a happy thing.
David Brody
And I'm for, or I'm for what they're doing in Iran, by the way, FYI. Yeah, but go ahead, go ahead. Well, I mean, and I hear you, we have seven soldiers that have been killed in action here, and that's terrible. And Donald Trump's indicated that there's probably going to be more, sadly, because of the war is going to go on, I believe I'm going to predict another month in Iran based off of my assessment of what our objectives are and how we're achieving those. The hardest objective, of course, will be having somebody in power that we can deal with, because, you know, at what point to the people in Iran stand up and say, enough with the Comanese, time for change. That's really difficult without boots on the ground. I don't want boots on the ground. I think some of this is being driven by momentum. To conduct an operation as we did in Venezuela, without one casualty, without one fatality. Of course, we had injured soldiers. We saw the one guy from 160th Air Regiment during the State of the Union, but no one killed on that missionary is just astounding to me because when you train for those sorts of things, sometimes you have a training accident and sadly, people pass away on, you know, on the military side. So the momentum is with us, because when we strip the Cuba of Venezuela, that that's really the only thing holding Cuba up, Venezuelan oil. And that's gone. So I think an outcome of Trump's success in Venezuela is this opportunity to negotiate with Cuba's leadership here. I don't think necessarily that's going to be a military operation. I think we're doing it through diplomacy right now because they're economically, this is collapsing. Yeah, it's a great point. I mean, I'm all for the Monroe Doctrine philosophy of what they're doing here in the Western Hemisphere, but, you know, to kind of quote Larry David with Lindsey Graham, curb your enthusiasm just a little bit.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
David Brody
That's all I'm saying.
Dr. Gina
It makes you wonder if he's talking like that. Am I on the right side of things?
David Brody
Yeah. I mean, Trump's got to tell him to shut up. Trump's just got to tell him to shut up.
Dr. Gina
Not the one you want running around out there promoting your war.
David Brody
Thank you, Doug. Appreciate your time.
Terrence Bates
Doug, good to see you, brother.
David Brody
Love you, too. All right. Oh, he gave us the salute. There, there it was. Coming up, Spring forward may seem small, but experts warn. Listen to this. It can actually disrupt your body clock. It could lead to sleep trouble, even raise the risk of heart attack, strokes and car crashes. Car crashes? What's happening? Okay, I'm not leaving this show until I find out and the answer is next.

Learn more and sign the pledge@workingwithcancerpledge.com. That's a look at Pensacola, Florida, not too far up the road from where we are here in Palm Beach. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. Gina. We thank you for joining us. Colby says hello. Colby, you don't get to be on till Friday. It is time now for today's health news. It is sponsored by the wellness company and under the microscope today, daylight saving time is here. And experts say losing that hour of sleep can affect more than just your morning routine. It affects traffic. Let me just tell you that. Health experts warn the time change can disrupt your body's internal clock, leading to sleep trouble that may last for weeks. Studies also show a temporary increase in heart attacks, strokes, and even fatal car crashes. It's because they're all going so slow in the morning and some people have to get to work. You can't tell. I'm a little bitter from the traffic this morning. But these things do happen, oddly in the days after the clock. Doctors recommend getting morning sunlight and adjusting to bedtime early to help your body Adapt. I just wish they would abolish daylight saving time. Tell us how you feel in the chat. I'm curious what you think about that. I hate it. I like the later, brighter days, but I hate when we go the other way and we lose and we have to cut off our days at five o' clock anyway. The Trump administration has brought a lot of positive changes when it comes to fixing our broken health care system. The reality though is there's only so much that the government can do. And if we really want to make America healthy again, it's going to start at home with each of us. And that's where the Wellness Company comes in. You see and hear from their doctors all the time. You know their products are the gold standard when it comes to keeping you safe and healthy. They make sure you are prepared for whatever happens with their prescription medical kits. These kits contain an assortment of life saving medications and guidebooks to assist in the use of the medicine meds in the kids. Additionally, the Wellness Company offers a variety of products from parasite cleanses to methylene blue to weight loss to so much more that can help you stay healthy and make you have a longer, more satisfying life. Make America Healthy Again starts at home. Do your part. Protect the health of yourself and your family. Go to TWC Health RAV. Give it an order. That's TWC Health RAV. Use promo code RAV to save 10 business. All right. The Department of Education transferring some of its programs to other federal agencies. New agreements will move certain school grants to the Department of Health and Human Services and shift oversight of foreign gifts to colleges to the State Department. Officials say those changes will improve efficiency and return more control to the individual states. But critics say the move could create confusion and weaken federal education oversight. Let's bring in the CEO and co founder of AbleChild.org, sheila Matthews. Sheila, I'm looking forward to speaking to your group tomorrow who are here in Palm beach and talked to Steve Bannon about it last night. I know he'll be there as well. How effective do you see the moves being made and what is happening with education as a whole? We've become a little distracted with wars and things. Are we still abolishing the Department of Ed and all the rest of it? What's happening? Well, first of all, thank you. I'm honored to be here with you this morning and your courage to address this is amazing. Amazing because it's a hard subject. So basically what we have right now is a broken education system because we have the behavioral health industry running it both on the state and federal level. So basically, children are being labeled and diagnosed with mental disorders and placed on a cocktail of psychiatric drugs while we're avoiding and defunding the gifted programs, the arts, the math and science. So these children are basically funneled through the administration and the association of School of Psychology where they're using these checklists to diagnose the children. And it's creating havoc because a lot of these mass shooters are on psychiatric drugs.
David Brody
And that's what our organization unfortunately has
Dr. Gina
been left to document as our gifted and talented children are being relabeled. My background is in behavioral sciences and, and we were definitely taught, you know, if people fit this checklist, that's what you have to do. You have to get them the drugs that they need. And there's no doubt that most children today are on some sort of medication for something that's really different than back in the 50s and 60s. And that tells us something. But that's what the work of the Able Child is all about@ablechild.org, tell us more about it. So basically we're going to be honoring another psychologist like yourself that has this
David Brody
background that was taught to elevate the children for their gifts and their uniqueness. And really, once you do that to
Dr. Gina
the able Child, the rest of the curriculum really is elevated. So Dr. Trevor Tabbs is a psychologist who basically said that the gift are being relabeled and that took a lot
David Brody
of courage for him.
Dr. Gina
So our organization is grassroots. It's parents across the country. We do not get any funding from
David Brody
the federal or state government.
Dr. Gina
We get contributions from victims who have had children commit suicide from cocktails of psychiatric drugs.
David Brody
We worked on the first landmark legislation
Dr. Gina
in Tennessee where it is testing these mass shooters for therapeutic levels of these drugs. So we're in unchartered territory where people like you and Dr. Trevor Tabbs are really trying to work with the child to approach it from a gifted perspective.
David Brody
But there's no money in that, Gina.
Dr. Gina
It's all going to this disordered education. Such a great point. No money in it. And that means you automatically go up against big pharma, big medicine, right? All of the well funded lobbying groups that want to continue to pass more legislation to sell more drugs. That's the problem. Tell us where people can reach out and more importantly, even where people can contribute. Sheila.
David Brody
Sure.
Dr. Gina
AbleChild.org, we have a petition on our website that people can sign for federal hearings. As President Trump is making all these
David Brody
great decisions about education, we want to
Dr. Gina
have a voice in that. And this petition will allow us to do that. And then we're having you. We're just so honored I can't even tell you. Once you know, everybody heard that you
David Brody
were going to be speaking at Able
Dr. Gina
Child 25 anniversary and people can go to ablechild25.com and see the array of special guests like you. And Lara Logan will be emceeing it. We have the Hoff Brothers Gateway pundit. So please log on to that. We are just here to protect children and to elevate the education system to
David Brody
move away from the AI and the

drugging to educational and resources. Sheila Matthews, I'm looking forward to seeing you all there. Thank you so much for being with us today. All right, God bless you. God bless you too. Welcome back everyone. Time to stay awake, not woke. Coffee pods are easy, but most of them are just caffeine and nothing more. Rejuvenate pods are built differently though. They're clean arabica pods that are infused with caakg. It's a compound that's linked to longevity, metabolism and deep cellular energy. It's the easiest way to get better focus, smoother energy and long term benefits without having to change your routine. Here at Real America's Voice, we choose them because they match the lifestyle so many of us want. We're talking more energy, more, more clarity and more intention in terms of how we start our day. If you're going to drink coffee anyway, why not make it one that actually supports the life that you're building? Head on over to 1775 coffee.com rav and try rejuvenate pods today. Don't just drink coffee, rejuvenate. Well, now that we're caffeinated again, it's time to stay awake, not woke. And who is woke today, you ask? Well, it will be California Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager dove. She said the DHS shutdown is working because Kristi Noem is out.
Dr. Gina
Leadership change is important in dhs, but ultimately the values that we put forth have really nothing to do with her. It has more to do with how Donald Trump, right, wants DHS to be run. So judicial warrant is very important. You cannot be knocking down the doors without a judicial warrant. The face masks are important. You cannot be detaining and deporting U.S. citizens. You have to have a very targeted approach to how you're trying to run ICE and you have to be getting that money out for fema. So I don't know the senator, how

Terrence Bates
But no one's winning, particularly the American people in all of this. And Democrats are largely responsible for all that. Anyway, we'd love to know what you think about it. Dr. Gina
All right, welcome back to American Sunrise. It is now time for our moment of faith that is brought to us by the good friends over at Lee Greenwood and God Bless the USA Bible in focus today, a new book telling the Story behind a high stakes competition in what $5 million can't buy. Author Corey Sims shares his experience competing for a $5 million prize on my favorite show on television, Beast Games, and that was season two. Through all the challenges, Sims says he learned that faith, family and character matter more than money. He taught America that as well. The book offers a behind the scenes look at the competition and the lessons he learned along the way. Welcome to the show, Corey. Cory. I may be gushing a little bit, I'm not going to lie, because Beast Games is my favorite show on television. I don't know how Jimmy did it, but somehow that show that is all about competition and really greed turns out to have a very Christian message. It started with Jeff in the first season. It continued with Jeff into this season, and you as well. Just what you did at the end. And I don't want to blow it for anybody. I was telling some people last night at dinner, I'm like, you know who Corey is from Beast Games. And they're like, oh, yeah, we know who. I'm like, you're going to love him by the end of season two. That's all I'll say. But it really is a special show. I don't know how God takes something that really is all about winning $5 million and turns it into his message.
David Brody
Absolutely. So I'm so honored and grateful to be here. Dr. Gina, this is a true pleasure. Thank you so much.
Dr. Gina
It's an honor to be with you.
David Brody
Thank you. And yeah, the whole competition itself was an amazing experience. So, so wonderful. The staff, everybody was so great. And yeah, I got to shine his amazing light on the entire game. And that's all I try to do now. That's my mission in life. That's my purpose. I truly believe that and I'm so glad to shine his light.
Dr. Gina
You made that so clear on the show. You again. I'm trying not to give away anything. In case people haven't seen it, I want them to watch it because it really is such a blessing to watch this show. My children got me onto it. They're all huge. We have you here for the whole week. We're so excited to have you in town. But you sent that message loud and clear that your relationship with your Lord and savior is infinitely more important to you than that five or even it could have been at one point, $10 million.
David Brody
Absolutely. Most important in my entire life has always been God, without a doubt.
Dr. Gina
What's that moment like where you're making that decision where you're really looking at $5 million and all the good you could do with it.
David Brody
Absolutely. So it was a hard challenge, obviously, to lose. You don't go into the game thinking, okay, I'm going to make it as a runner up. But the way that it all happened, everything happened according to God's plan. I truly believe that. I believe that he allowed that to happen in order for me to inspire other people to write my book, to help people with their faith, their integrity, their character. And I truly believe that's why I'm here today.
Dr. Gina
And obviously that's what you believe because you went so far as to write a book about it just about by the time the season ended. I think your book almost coincided with that. Tell us about the book, where we can get it and how it's doing.
David Brody
Absolutely. So the book you can get at Amazon and sooner or later it will be offered in Barnes and Nobles and other bookstores around the country. And yeah, it's a great book. It's a great read. I was inspired, obviously, by God to write it. I woke up one morning, God put it in my heart, my spirit, to write the book, and I'm so glad that I did.
Dr. Gina
What's next for Corey?
David Brody
I'm trying to do a book tour this coming summer, so travel around the country, hit 21 different cities around the country, and just speak to people, inspire them with their hope, with their faith in Jesus and everything that goes with it.
Dr. Gina
We're all in those moments, especially living in Palm beach, where there's a great deal that maybe it's with a bad guy or there's a great deal, but maybe it's for something that doesn't really fit your moral template, right?
David Brody
Absolutely.
Dr. Gina
How did you. What's your advice to people when they're grappling in that moment with the good you could do with the money? Because that's an easy rationalization, right versus doing the right thing.
David Brody
Absolutely. So always, always, just the Lord always speaks to me through my spirit, and I strongly believe that that could be for everybody. You know, as long as you accept Jesus into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior. Salvation is the most important thing. And just listen to what he tells you, what he guides you through, and he will always be there for you.
Dr. Gina
Corey, best of luck with the book. Tell us the title again and we know we can get it on Amazon.
David Brody
Absolutely. So it's what 5 million can't buy. Faith, integrity, and the true definition of winning.
Dr. Gina
Amazing. Amazing. You are an inspiration to, especially to Gen Z, who needs it right now. So badly. But really to all of us and thank you for being with us this week.
David Brody
I appreciate it. Dr. Gina, thank you so much.
Dr. Gina
Absolutely. Back with the second hour of American Sunrise in just two minutes. Stay with us.

And I'll also, new polling data shows more and more Americans are holding a favorable view of socialism and believe the United States should move toward it. Well, we're going to break that down a little later in the hour. These stories, so much more as the second hour of American Sunrise starts right now.
David Brody
Good morning America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina.
David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G in West Palm T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Hello.
Terrence Bates
Hello.
David Brody
So the Iran war continues on. And Gene, I'm looking at gas. I'm filling up my gas tank. It was 289 ten days ago. It's now 3:55 and growing. So look, I mean, this has a lot of different ways to go sideways for the United States, both economically and otherwise. And obviously, we have most importantly, a seventh US Serviceman who has died now. So, look, there's going to be headlines, but I believe maga's going to stick with this for now.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. I think one of the questions I'm seeing in the chat and I always feel like the chat is sort of a temperature taker of maga. One of the questions I'm seeing a lot in the chat is, hey, if we do get in and out and we do win this war and we do all these great things, you know, we're paying for this. Does this mean we don't have to send as much money overseas anymore? I think it's a legitimate question. I think they'll continue to ask it. In fact, I think that question will get a little louder.
Terrence Bates
T. No, absolutely. And unfortunately, the longer this thing drags out, the more questions are going to be raised. Hopefully this ends quickly with not only a victory but also, for lack of a better word, regime change. And Mojtaba Khamenei is not the regime change that I think any American is calling for or definitely wants. That's just my two cents on that. So, look, Khomeini is kind of the big story today. Iran has its next supreme leader after Mojtaba Khomeini was named the new ruler of the embattled Islamic Republic the 5th. The 56 year old is one of the sons of the late Ayatollah who was killed in US Strikes just a couple of days into the current war. Khomeini has never been elected or even appointed to a government position and is believed to hold even more hardline views than his father. Meantime, Iran's president is threatening to step up attacks on American targets across the Middle east, saying that Iran will not bow to pressure from the United States and Israel. The ongoing war with Iran has sent oil prices over the $120 a barrel mark, thus causing gas prices to spike across the country. Gas hit an average of $3.41 over the weekend. Taking the truth social, President Trump writing short term oil prices, which will drop rapidly when the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat is over, is a very small price to pay for USA and world safety and peace. Only fools would think differently, he writes. Speaking of President Trump, he's drawing a line in the sand saying he will not sign any bills until the Safeguard American voter eligibility or SAVE act is approved by the Senate. 47 is encouraging the United States Senate to exclusively, if necessary, focus on the Save America Act. President Trump calling for the full version to be passed, not a watered down measure that would include voter ID and proof of citizenship. The commander in chief also wants no mail in ballots except for the military for illness or for disability. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Weather Nation meteorologist Tracey Anthony standing by with your hometown forecasts. Tracy, good morning.
Dr. Gina
Hey, good morning. We are starting off in Huto, Texas. Now this is just north of Austin, so if you don't know where it is, I had to look it up. But this coming in from Lone Star lady on getter. 84 degrees for your daytime high. So you're gonna be feeling nice and toasty here for the next day or so. We do have some strong to severe thunderstorms that will roll on through. That's gonna cool us down for Thursday, but then we're back close to 90 degrees by the weekend. Then we'll take you a little farther to the north. This one also coming in via Getter. We had a nice little hometown forecast chat here this morning. Arensville, Illinois. Hope I'm pronouncing that correctly. 81 by Tuesday, and then we drop down to 60 degrees and then drop down to 51 by Thursday. So it's definitely spring here with the temperatures fluctuating and roller coastering. And then let's warm things up. This one is for the Zen master. So I'm also in West Palm beach, so I kind of wanted that seven day forecast as well. 80 degrees by Thursday, so that's going to be kind of the warmest day. But we're really hovering right around 80 with beautiful weather. Chances for a few rain showers though, by Thursday. Want to leave you off, though, with a look by Tuesday. By Tuesday afternoon, this is when that severe weather threat will really ramp up. And that's when areas like Illinois, all the way down through Texas will have that severe weather threat. So our hometown forecasts Tuesday afternoon is going to be the most active day. Terrence.
Terrence Bates
All right, Tracy, it has been a crazy winter. I'm sure you know this. It snowed here for us on Saturday, I think Saturday it snowed, and then Sunday it was like 60 degrees again. Oh, you can't hear me. Okay. All right, next time. Sorry. Talk to you later, Tracy. Okay. All right, let me get you over to David and Dr. Gina. We'll start with David. David, I hope you can hear me. Good morning.
David Brody
I'm sorry, T. What was that? Yes, I hear you. Yes.
Terrence Bates
What did you say? David? Yes, I hear you. I'd rather not, but yes, I do.
David Brody
I'm sorry. I just need to talk to Gina right now. Taryn.
Dr. Gina
No, I remember that commercial back in the 80s, I think it was. Eh, eh. Remember we used to say that in school all the time? I don't know.
David Brody
Oh, my gosh. Once again, another dated reference from the three triple box anchors. Okay, that's just great. We always give one or two a show. All right, here we go.
Dr. Gina
That's very Gen Z. We're so hip now. David, you just have to know you're Hip.
David Brody
You're hip. We have two bad hips. You're hip.
Terrence Bates
I've got. I got a bad hip.
David Brody
All right, here we go. I'm going to pronounce this because I like to do. Mujtaba Khamenei has been named the third Supreme Leader. Thank you. Of the Islamic Republic. He's gonna die soon, by the way. He just doesn't know it yet. Just over a week after his no good, evil father was killed in US And Israeli strikes, President Donald Trump has already made clear he doesn't approve of this. He called Hamid Hasan a lightweight. Of course he did. And saying the choice is, quote, unacceptable. The President also warned the new leader may not last long without his approval, setting up a new flashpoint in the escalating conflict with Tehran. All right. Joining us now with analysis is San Diego supervisor and also congressional candidate out there in San Diego. That would be Jim Desmond. Jim, good morning to you. So we've got combat operations, not war. Right. Combat operations in Iran. They're in their second week now. President Trump has warned that the Supreme Leader is not gonna last long. It's not an idle threat. I'm curious to get your take on the situation right now because we see oil at over $100 a barrel and possibly climbing even higher. Good morning. Well, good morning. And it's 72 and sunny in San Diego today again. But anyway, we have to, we have to not let Iran get a nuclear weapon. I mean, that's. We got to keep our eye on the prize and why we're here and why we're doing this. Just about every Congress member would tell you they do not want to have Iran to have a nuclear weapon. So we have to stop that. And this war didn't just start a week ago or two weeks ago. It started 47 years ago when they took over our embassy and held Americans hostage for over a year. And it's just been escalating time after time. And we're at the point where, thank God, we're trying to take their nuclear capability out. We've got very focused, we got very targeted assets that we're trying to keep. We're not bombing civilians. And this new ayatollah that has come in, I agree, is very weak, hasn't been that charismatic. I don't think he's got the will of the people. Iranians want freedom. Iranians do not want to be under the thumb of these regimes. And I think no pain, no gain. So it's unfortunate the oil prices are going up, but I do believe this is a spike and President Trump is right. Once we are able to get rid of their nuclear capabilities, oil prices will come down again. Hopefully the people will elect their president and their leader, not just be appointed and be a hierarchy of someone's son.
Terrence Bates
Jim, Terrence Bates here. Good to see you. On somewhat of a related note, President Trump slamming British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for being late to the party, so to speak, taking to true social the president writing, and this is the quote, the United Kingdom, our once great ally, maybe the greatest of them all, is finally giving serious thought to sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East. That's okay, President, Prime Minister Starmer, we don't need them any longer, but we will remember we don't need people that join wars after we've already won. President Donald J. Trump, your thought, David is chuckling. Your thought, sir.
David Brody
Well, you know, President Trump is unique in the way he negotiates a lot different than most of us probably would. I do think this would next time we ask, the British might step up a little bit sooner and they're still our best ally. And I do believe that the negotiations or what relations with UK are still going to be good and if not get better. But the president has a way of getting people to come on board and I think this is one way to get the UK There quicker and helping us out to stop the nuclear threat in Iran.
Dr. Gina
California Representative Darrell Issa is retiring from Congress following redistricting in the deep blue state and he has endorsed you to fill his seat. Talk to us about the big issues that your campaign is focused on, what you want to accomplish for the Golden State as a member of Congress and how we're going to take California back. You don't know this about me because I don't know you, ironically, but I moved here from San Diego, so I miss it. I love California and would love to take it back one day.
David Brody
Hallelujah. I hope we can, too. But I'm very honored to have Darrell ISS endorsement. We're sad that he stepped down. He was a great member of Congress. But I'm happy to, you know, follow in his, in his footsteps, basically. You know, I'm a Navy veteran. The Navy brought me out to San Diego County. I was airline pilot for 34 years for Delta Airlines. I got elected mayor of our city. I'm a county commissioner or county supervisor, they call him out here and I'm termed out. And it just so happens that Darrell Issa just last week decided to step down. So I'm running in his place. California, unfortunately, you know, we're a mess. We had this redistricting that gruesome Newsom put forward here recently that they already had. Out of the 52 congressional seats in California, the Democrats had 43 of them out of the 52. And then they decided to decimate as many of the rest of them that they could. Darrell Isis seat was one of the targeted seats. I have actually been mayor in that. In that district. I've been the county supervisor in that district. And I think I've got a great chance of win that district and at least keeping a few congressional seats in California safe. But unfortunately, state of California is not the example for the rest of the country. Our homeless numbers are up. We've got just as much fraud and abuse as Minnesota does. We've seen our gas prices have been 450 and above. And that's where we started. Now they're going up because of the spike here because of the war. There's just way too much government regulation. People and companies are leaving California. And one of the biggest issues I want to be fighting for is the American dream. Most families here cannot. Young families cannot afford a house. They're having to move out of state. They're seeing just hope of having a home and a family and having that American dream fading away faster and faster here in California. This is why people like Mandami get elected, because this next generation is not seeing the hope of fulfilling that American dream here in the country. And so we as Republicans, we've got to fix that. We've got to make sure that we make that American dream a reality again. We got to cut regulations, we got to cut taxes. We got to make it so that the next generation has opportunities and they can feel those and see those opportunities instead of just shaking their heads and saying, I'm not going to make it. We've got to bring those types of things back, and I want to do that here in California. Jim Desmond, thanks for being here. Thanks for getting up early. Go take a nap. We approve of naps.
Dr. Gina
That's right. It's super early there. I used to have to do that for tv, too. Jim, we appreciate it.
Terrence Bates
Thanks so much.
David Brody
All the best here. All right, let's talk Medicare. What a transition from NAPS to Medicare because a lot of folks aren't getting the full story. Most Medicare agents push Medicare Advantage plans even when they're not right for you. Why is that? Well, because that's where the money is for them. Seniors are paying the price. That's the problem. And that's what makes Chapter different. They're going to walk you through original Medicare, Medigap, Medicare Advantage and Part D with the pros and the cons all laid out so you can make the right call for your health needs. Donna, who once again to confirm does not have a last name, said her Chapter advisor walked her through every option and explained everything in a way she could actually understand. Plus, they saved her thousands of dollars. All right, if you're on Medicare or will be soon, here's what you do. You call 843-MEDHELP to learn about enrollment options and find ways to save. It is free. Hello. Ding ding ding. It's quick and they can review your options in under 20 minutes. Most people wish they had called sooner. That is chapter all right, coming up, new controversy surrounding the wife of New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani after a report claims that she liked social media posts that called allegations of sexual violence during the October 7th Hamas tax a mass rape. Hopes that's next.

She was very. It was like the height of Alanis time and she was with this beautiful man and I had a golden retriever puppy and the beautiful man wanted to, to say hi to the golden fever puppy. We were eating at that little cafe there at the Santa Monica one. And Alanis hung back in a way that made me wonder what was happening. Like, who wouldn't want to pet this beautiful puppy.
Dr. Gina

Welcome back, everybody, to America's Under Eyes. I'm David Brody. Time now to drain the swamp. I am the swamp creature that's going to do the draining this morning. Oh, hello. That's my toilet. This morning we're flushing Zoran Mamdani and his wife. A new report reveals Ramadawaji, the wife of New York City mayor Zoran Mamdani, say all that five times fast. She liked social media posts that dismissed allegations of sexual violence during the October 7 Hamas terror attack as a mass rape hoax. She actually liked it. Also liked posts praising what they called resistance against Israel and promoting anti Israel protests. City hall claims the mayor has been clear. Hamas is a terrorist organization and October 7th was a war crime. But the social media activity is now raising new questions about the people closest to one of the most powerful political figures in the country. Like, color me shocked. I'm not. We want to know what you think. Let us know on rumble or get or hop on. Let your voice be heard. All right, coming up, we're heading to Wall street for the opening bell and insight into how to hold on to your hard earned dollars with some common sense. What will oil do today? What will the price of oil look like? More in two minutes.

Welcome back everyone. The opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange is set to ring in about seven minutes. Here's a quick look at pre market trading. As you can see the top of our board, the major indices, the dow S&P 500 and the NASDAQ not looking so good. The bottom is what's probably of most concern though. Yes, it is in the green but crude oil is up significantly which really means that your ultimate going to pay a lot more when it comes to your cash prices. In fact, gas prices are surging around the country. The price of gas reportedly hitting an average of $3.41 over the weekend on average. Analysts have linked these prices to the ongoing combat operations in Iran we'll of course, continue to monitor all of this throughout the day. In fact, we're also just learning this morning that a barrel of oil is over $100 a barrel for the first time since about 2022. So we'll continue to monitor all of that for you throughout the day. But as we wait for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange, here's RAF correspondent Bo Davidson speaking with Julio Gonzalez about what you need to know about this upcoming tax season.
David Brody
Thanks, Terence. Well, I'm here with Julio Gonzalez. He's the founder of Engineered Tax Services. And today we want to talk about families, Julio, and how your family can benefit from the one big beautiful bill's provisions because many people out there may not be aware of what's going on. Julio, first tell me about the child tax credit and how that's different from last year. Yeah, well, we increased it substantially. That's how it's different. Good for you. Right. You're expecting a child. I am. Right. So this is good for you. You're going to get more of a write off. And what we did with it as well is if you can't use all the credit, it's refundable money back to you in a real check. So big increases in that. This tax bill was all about families first, America first, businesses first here in America, and job well done by President Trump. And they even changed the name up to include the word families, which I thought was really incredible as well to know that families are completely targeted in this and can benefit from it. Let's also talk about that Trump account. This is something that's been talked about a lot in the last couple of months where the Federal Government provides $1,000 in contribution for eligible children. Who's eligible for this, Julio? And how would they sign up for it?
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
David Brody
Isn't this great? Yeah. A free thousand dollars to have a child. This is more good news for you. That's great. And your wife. Right. I mean, that's amazing. So listen, has to be US Citizen, right? Yep. And born in the last two years. And going forward now, we're going to match, we're going to put $1,000 can come right from the government into that account. And you talked about what an amazing benefit this is. Oh, yeah. A $3,000. Now we're also thinking that we can contribute to it. The families can. Employers can contribute to these accounts. Right. That's fantastic. And get the tax benefits. So, yeah, I want to match this for my employers as well. So look at this. Now we put $50 into that account every month to the time the child gets to 18 at 5%, they're going
Terrence Bates
to have $80,000 in their account.
David Brody
Right. This is tremendous. So how much? Say that again. $50 per month.
Dr. Gina
Is that what you said?
Terrence Bates
And we're going to get it up
David Brody
to 80,000 by the time they're 18. By the time they're 18. So they can choose.
Dr. Gina
Tremendous.
David Brody
Because I mean, that's paying for your college education right there. And we all know how expensive colleges are as well. Or whatever they choose to do. Whatever they choose to do. Exactly. So it doesn't have to be towards college. It could be towards something else. Isn't that amazing that we're incentivizing this? And I'm so glad we got this done. Yeah. These Trump accounts are incredible. I think it's something that's needed to be done for a long time. And now how would a person approach an employer about matching that? What would be required to do that? Well, I think the employer said, well, that's a good point. Like how many employers are going to even know about this? Right. It's new, but this is. Right. We're sharing this information, this platform to create more employers, making them aware of it. But it's a no brainer to like
Terrence Bates
as CEOs of companies, we just have
David Brody
to be good stewards and we have to reward our employees and reward their families. And this is one of the easiest ways to do it. And we get a tax benefit for doing it. So why not? That's win, win for everybody. Julio, also understand if you have adopted a child that up to $5,000 of the credit can be refundable for the 2025 tax year. Tell me more about that. Oh my God.
Terrence Bates
And up to $16,000.
David Brody
Right. So that's fantastic. And $5,000 refundable. We know that families going through adoption, that's an expensive, arduous process and we want to reward that activity. Right. We talked about this tax code is set to reward certain activities and we want that in our country. We want to want people to invest in adoption but not have to come out of pocket millions of dollars to do it. Right. So let's help them with these child adoption credits and make it refundable so they have some money back in their pockets. We want to reward great behavior.
Terrence Bates
I think that's one of the key
David Brody
things we just got done. It sounds like, Julio, it's a win win from everybody from the family, from the employer to the kid themselves, who can now have all this money. Accessible to them by age 18. This one big beautiful bill really did some amazing things. Well, Julio, for families that are out there who want to know more about everything you just said in this brief five minutes, where can they go to get more of these tests? Yeah. Text ETS to 26786. And we do daily tax tips for the hard working American for the MAGA crowd there. And I'm so proud to be on this platform to share that news because it's so vital. Right. We don't take advantage of grants, we don't take advantage of these tax credits for our families. And so any information we can share
Terrence Bates
on that, creating that awareness, creating that
David Brody
education, creating that literacy, I think that's vitally important. And for those of you out there that don't know too, and I'll just say this about my buddy Julio. He's been given so many awards lately for his generosity, for his hospitality, for the things that he's doing, even in the Hispanic community. Got an award at the Hispanic Prosperity Gala. Just some really wonderful things that Julio is doing. It comes from his heart. This is just a wonderful man. He's not looking to make a buck. He's actually looking to put money back in your pocket. So I think we need to recognize that Julio and what his team are generous, generous people who want to see you and your family succeed. So, Julio, thank you so much for all that you do. Thanks for saying all that. Absolutely. Thanks. Back to you, Terrence.

We're now just moments away from the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It is set to ring here in just a little bit. As we showed you earlier, pre market trading was not looking so hot on the major indices, the Dow S P500 and the NASDAQ. Hopefully the opening bell will bring about a little bit better fortunes for those of you who are going to be investing. As you can hear, the applause is underway, which means the bell is just moments away from leaning. And then we'll get get a real time view of how the markets are looking. Let's take this full screen. As you can see on the right side of your screen there, America 250 celebrating 250 years of America's founding here. All right, there you have it. Ladies and gentlemen, the markets are now officially open. There's a scurry on the floor of the New York Stock exchange as those first trades are getting in. The Dow, S P 500 and the NASDAQ all still in the red right now. VIX is in the green. And at the very bottom, crude oil is up. It's up over $100 a barrel for the first time since 2022. That means that gas prices are also up significantly. We're hearing on average you're paying about $3.41 a gallon from coast to coast. And a lot of that is attributed to the ongoing operations there in Iran. We'll of course, continue to monitor all of this for you throughout the day. Still to come here on American sunrise, though a growing number of Americans say they are open to socialism, but a majority still say it would be a mistake. We'll talk about it and what's driving this trend. That's next

Dr. Gina
Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us this morning. We invite you to head on into our conversations over on YouTube. Getter and rumble. It is time now to take the political pulse of America. Here's the beat. Today a number of polls showing a number of Americans are signaling support for ditching free market capitalism and embracing socialism. One poll from Fox News shows an alarming 38% of respondents believe shifting to socialism would be a good thing for the country. Oh my gosh. More than double of those who said the same over just a decade ago. Well, Rasmussen poll shows 25% of likely voters saying they prefer socialism to capitalism. But a clear majority of Americans still say moving towards socialism would be a mistake. You think? But that number is slowly dwindling. So what is driving the rise in support for socialist ideas and what could it mean for the future of the United States economy and the world, frankly? Here to discuss, bring in David Brady and Terrence Bates. You know, this is the problem with not teaching history in our closet because socialism is a failed experiment. We know this from history. It fails every single time. TERRENCE but when kids don't know that, they have nothing to base it on, like, oh, it sounds so good because then everybody's equal and everybody gets all the same stuff and ooh, gushy, gushy. It sounds so good, but it's so bad. Terrence so many things that sound good in theory don't work in practice, right?
Terrence Bates
In practice, that's not at all what typically happens. But I suspect that part of the reason for this is desperation. Part of the reason we're seeing the trend, and I think it's important to point out the majority still don't see socialism as the answer. There's just a small growing minority that sees it as a potential option. And a lot of that comes from desperation. And David, the reality for many Americans is that even though all of the indicators are showing, the numbers and everything are showing that the economy is going much better, people aren't necessarily feeling it. And that feeling for many people is reality. Perception is reality. And so they're resorting or at least trying to consider other alternatives out of desperation, it's not going to work. And again, while perception may be reality, just considering it something, it's just not going to work for many people. And I suspect if instituted, they would push back against it.
David Brody
David, look, it's a small growing minority. Your words, right? T. BATES and what you're quoting regarding the poll. No, no, but that, but that's the problem. Growing, right? It's small and it's growing and it was a lot less five years ago and now it's larger and especially among the Gen Z folks out there. So it's important that this is a generational battle, clearly. So that's my point, is that if you look inside the Gen Z numbers, it's even higher. It's still a minority, but it's even higher. Let me just say this. This is what I used to tell my kids about socialism, okay? I say, listen You've got an A. You worked really hard.
Terrence Bates
You know that.
David Brody
You've probably heard this before, right? You get an A all year long because you've worked really hard. Johnny here in the same class was mailing it in and got an F. So at the end of the year, we're gonna give you both Cs.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
David Brody
And they go, yeah, no, I don't like that. Welcome to socialism if you don't like it, that's the deal. You get an A for working hard. Johnny gets an F for not working hard. But you're both gonna get Cs. Folks, that's socialism in a nutshell.
Dr. Gina
But, David, I wanna challenge my good friend Terrence Bates here. He said it's out of desperation. Okay, can we be honest about something for a minute? We don't have desperation in American culture. We really don't. And I'm not saying there aren't people that live paycheck to paycheck. I've done it. Look, with five kids and I had a husband in a legislature that was making $26,000 a year for years. That's how we lived. It was hand to mouth. It was month to month. It was having to ask our church and friends sometimes to help us. So I don't need lectures there. I've lived it. But at the same time, you compare that to the kids eating bugs in third World countries. We don't know despair. We don't know despair. And largely, you look at. You know, I was watching this weekend, they were doing a story on cbs, the morning show there. I like to watch that on Sunday mornings, even though it's a liberal cesspool, but I still like watching it. And they were showing all of this woman and that she was talking about how poor she was and how she sometimes has to skip dinner and she was overweight and all of her children were overweight. I'm sorry, can we just be honest about this? We don't have starving people in this country unless something. They're not applying for their benefits or they're living on the streets or they're addicted to drugs. I realize there are other problems and that we have some really severe problems. Our veterans on the streets is a big one. But I'm saying we aren't really in despair to the degree that people should be turning to socialism. I believe the problem, Terrence, is in entitlement. I believe the problem is that we have raised up a whole generation of children who think they should have what everybody else has. Somebody has a jet, they should have it, even if they haven't worked for it yet. That's my.
Terrence Bates
Okay, yeah, I hear you. I hear you. And you make a point. But I think that, again, perception is that they are desperate. Now, you can compare someone to, you know, a rural village in Kenya, but if that's never really been your life, if that's not what you know, but you do know, and I'm not gonna even say prosperity, but, you know, having, and now you don't have what you used to have, then there may be a sense of desperation. Whether it truly is or not, whether you may see it as desperation for a person in that situation, I would argue it is desperation. And so that's leading to them considering alternatives. That's just my perspective. Not saying it's right, but that's my perspective. Go ahead.
David Brody
Guess what? Another vamp. Opportunities probably sometime in another show coming up soon. All right, but we've got to move on. Turning now to our ongoing combat operations in Iran, not war. President Trump over the weekend championed efforts by US And Israeli forces, noting the destruction of Tehran's navy and air capabilities. He's also demanding what remains of the country's leadership to offer their unconditional surrender. Take a look. Can you give us an idea of what unconditional surrender looks like to you? I mean, what do you want from Iran? I said unconditioned, not conditioned. I said unconditioned. It's where they cry uncle.
Terrence Bates
Or when they can't fight any long
David Brody
longer, there's nobody around to cry out. That could happen, too, because, you know, we've wiped out their leadership numerous times already. So it's if they surrender or if there is nobody around to surrender, but they're rendered useless in terms of military. All right. Joining us now with reaction is former Army Ranger and director for the American Military Project at the Claremont Institute. That will be Will Thibodeau. Will, good morning to you. I like his old time phrase, cry uncle. I remember saying cry uncle on the parking in the parking lot. If you will tell us, Will, what do you make of where this war is going and how successful it's been and what needs to happen next? Well, David, I think everyone realizes this is a really significant, like you said, combat operation. It is not an instance like Venezuela, the raid into Venezuela to get Nicolas Maduro. This is going to be something that continues for a number of weeks now. I think what's interesting is we're at a turning point in many ways where Israel may be starting to pick up more of the sustained combat operations. You know, conducting strikes against Iran and, you know, rebalancing some of the effort as it relates to just how core this war is to Israeli interests. The United States obviously, will stay in the fight, enabling role, intelligence support, precision strikes that really cut to the heart of Iran's military capabilities and their ability to project power. Of course, we saw just in the last 12 hours the announcement of a new supreme Leader, the old Ayatollah's son, who has, you know, frankly, plenty of reason to continue this fight. I think the real question remains, is Iran's lull in the intensity of their attacks throughout the region a reality of the fact that they're running out of missiles, running out of drones? Or could it be a more deliberate and strategic shift to a more sustained nature of this conflict where they, as some, some think and some reports indicate, are saving some of their more sophisticated ballistic missiles for when they could hurt the United States and Israel the most? So, you know, the President is signaling, I think, what is welcome is that he's going to do what's required to get the mission done. And that's something you don't hear from a president often. And that's, I think, why people often, you know, feign surprise and, and righteous, supposedly righteous indignation at comments like that. But it, I think we should all acknowledge that this, this is not going to end tomorrow. This is not going to end, you know, even by the end of the week. It's going to continue until the mission is over.
Terrence Bates
I'm curious what your metric is for ending this war and for success. Obviously, the stated goal has been to make sure that Iran doesn't have access or is able to create a nuclear weapon and to do away with all its missiles. But beyond that, I would think also instituting a new government has got to be one of the goals. One of the things that you say, okay, now the job is done. A government that would be friendly to the West.
David Brody
Yeah, you know, candidly, I don't know that that should be one of the goals. Obviously, you know, or at the very least, if that's going to be a goal, you need to adjust the expectations of what this operation is going to look like. I think it's clear that, you know, we're not going to get regime change where this new ayatollah is not in power and there is, you know, like you say, a pro Western leader in Iran. We're not going to get that without a much more significant escalation in conflict. We're not going to get that without some sort of ground forces in Iran. And you know, if you listen to what the president said, he didn't necessarily call for regime change as a condition of unconditional surrender. He, he wants the current leadership in Iran to cry uncle. He wants the, the leadership to, to be willing to say that we will accede to the demands of the United States. Those demands, and I think this gets the heart of your question, these demands include the absolute limit on any ability to project power throughout the region. That it means, that means Navy, air force, ballistic missile and drone capabilities and I imagine a significant reorientation of the economic balance within the Middle East. That's, that's a lot there. But, but the messaging that I've noticed coming out of the administration is they're not necessarily expecting a whole new government in power because I think, as everyone realizes, that's not something you can do via airstrikes. But what we will expect is that the government, who is in charge, the new ayatollah, if they want to seek a diplomatic solution to this war, if they want to ever stay in power, they need to give up a lot that wouldn't have been conceivable before the war started.
Terrence Bates
Interesting.

You can use that for an extra 10% off. Try them all or off the try them sample pack there. All right, let's get into what's up today. And that would be Artillery Tea Company's very own co founder there, Mike Britton. Mike, good morning to you.
David Brody
Morning, Terrence.
Terrence Bates
All right, so talk about this brew club. I hear through a birdie that this has Been pretty successful and that you've gotten some good traction there.
David Brody
Yeah, the reception has been much better than our last offering, Terence. Last time we just had, you know, it's a standard subscribe now and save 10%. There was no free shipping, no rewards, no tier discounts or anything like that. So this time we wanted to offer more holistic experience for our customers, add more value, add maximum value to them and also give maximum flexibility in the plan. So for flexibility, you can cancel anytime, you can swap flavors anytime. We even have, as our current customers know, the reasonable tins, the reload pouches, the mother loads. You can swap those out at any time, too. We also offer delivery every month, every two months or every three months. So maximum flexibility there to fit all budget options and all, you know, tea drinking habit options as well. And so on top of that, though, we're going to give free shipping on every single club order, regardless of how many items you subscribe to. And then the tier discounts comes into play with the quantity. So if you have one item in your subscription, there's a 0% discount. Still get free shipping. Two items is 10%. Three items is 15. Four plus items would be 20% off. And so we wanted to offer maximum value, maximum discounts, and something sustainable for the company as well.
Terrence Bates
Apologize for interrupting you, but as you were talking, I was thinking, all right, so we've got all these flavors that we can choose from particularly to sample. Give me two or three that you would encourage people to maybe start with. Or what are the two or three most popular that people can kind of wet their palate for lack of a better word with?
David Brody
Sure, yeah, I'll give you one. One of each. So we offer black tea, green tea, and herbal teas. Right now, our most popular blend overall is the morning Moab black tea. It's a combination of three different kinds of organic black tea. Another feature of that blend is it's meant to be more of a coffee replacement. And so usually we put two grams of tea in one teabag. And for. But for morning Moab, we put three grams in. So you're getting more tea, more caffeine. Still not quite as much as coffee, but it also stays in your system longer than the caffeine from coffee does. So I'd recommend the black tea for morning Moab. And for green tea, our most popular is the Gadsden Green there Peach Apricot green tea. Ironically, these are the two first blends we ever created when we first launched the company, and they still remain our most popular today. And then for the herbal option, we have something called Raptor Raz, which is a raspberry rooibos tea. That one is caffeine free. It's more for stress management and hydration at the same time. It has like some ashwagandha in there, red rooibus and some hibiscus. So those are the three I would recommend to get started with.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. That sounds very cool. Ashwagandha, like, it sounds medicinal, which I guess basically it is. So that's obviously a benefit. All right, talk about some of the special offers. I think Try now. Is that a promo code that's going right now?
David Brody
Yeah, we're doing Try now for an extra 10% off the try them all sample pack. In that product you get a sample pack which contains three sachets for six cups, tea for all nine of our different flavors. The only flavor not included in there is the decaf morning moab and the pumpkin payload since that one's seasonal. But Normally that is 12% off and for a limited time we're going to offer an extra 10% off of that bundle.
Terrence Bates
All right, very good. Once Again, the website artillerytco.com do you go CO or do you just say artillery TCO? How do you call it? I always say artillery TCO even though it's one word. What do you call it?
David Brody
I just go company. But you know, maybe, maybe some people could take that as KO or something like that. So yeah, co is good.
Terrence Bates
All right, all right. Like I've been meaning to ask you that for like six months. I'm like, okay, should I say co? That's how it makes sense to me anyway, Mike. Sometimes I just have these random thoughts to come out. Good to see you, my friend.
David Brody
All right, thank you, sir.

Dr. Gina
for healing, learn more and sign the pledge@workingwithcancerpledge.com. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks so much for being with us this morning. It is time now for the one to watch. Here's what I have my eye on today. Former Obama White House Advisor Valerie Jarrett says President Trump will not be invited to the opening ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center. The center is set to open in Chicago in June with a four day celebration honoring supporters, volunteers and idiots. No. Sorry. Did I wait? No, that was not what I was. That's not in the prompter. Organizers are calling this the Hopi changey movement that powered Barack Obama's presidency. I made that part up, too. I'm sorry I can't behave this morning, guys. It's just very Monday. But Jarrett says the ceremony will be reserved for those who were part of Obama's political journey, making clear that Trump didn't make the cut. This follows reports that taxpayers in Chicago would be footing hundreds of millions of dollars in hidden costs to fund this center, despite the former president promising it would be a gift for the city. David, this is so ugly. First of all, isn't it supposed to be called a presidential library? Secondly, why does it look exactly like a dumpster? And thirdly, does he honestly think President Trump would show up at some place that ugly? Have you seen the buildings that President Trump buys?
David Brody
Yeah. Well, first of all, Trump has gotta be devastated that he can't attend, right? Number one. Number two, it's kind of apropos that it looks like a dumpster, because Obama's years were a dumpster fire, so maybe they're going for that. You know, that similarity. It looks a little bit like a salt shaker to me or a pepper shaker or whatever. One of those things.
Dr. Gina
David, it looks like a trash can.
David Brody
Yeah, it does look like a trash. I was trying to be diplomatic and nice, but I guess. Nah, never mind. I'll just trash it. No, I don't know. You're right. Look, look, here's the thing. This thing has cost $850 million. It was supposed to come in at 350 million. It's $500 million over budget. For that reason alone, Trump wouldn't want to attend saying, what a bunch of losers that can't put this thing together for under budget and on time. This was supposed to go up. Remember, guys, as you know, it's 2026. Obama's been gone for 10 years. This was supposed to be up five years ago. The taxpayers are on the hook for this, by the way, for $224 million. And that's all I have to say. And yes, it looks like a trash can, dumpster thing, whatever.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, I doubt quite seriously that President Trump is regretting not being invited. I'm sure he wouldn't want to go anyway. And, you know, as a Chicagoan, unfortunately, many, many in the city have had to foot the bill and will continue to foot the bill for this. Hopefully, though, it will bring more tourism to the Hyde park area. It's a community where this is built in Chicago. Hopefully it will bring some more tourism and help the businesses around that. I'm not so sure it will, but let's, let's hope hope reigns eternal.
Dr. Gina
This. Yeah. Hopey changey. Hopey changey. This is the definition of socialism. Unions over time, over budget, over promising, under delivering. That's, that's unions in our country. And I'm sure that, by the way, every brick of that atrocity. Anyway, moving on. Happy Monday.
David Brody
You know, Trump's library is going to be gold.
Dr. Gina
Oh, you know, it's going to be so pretty. That is the. I just. What an embarrassment to this country. Warm them up. Next, you guys go Boldly now. Live the truth. We'll see you tomorrow with no trash cans. No new trash cans.

When I was diagnosed, all I wanted to do was get back to work. I wanted to get back to that trajectory that I was on prior to the cancer. I always felt like I had value. I had a place on the team to just be treated with dignity. It means everything. Research shows there is a significant connection

Main Theme:
A fast-paced review of the major political, foreign policy, and cultural headlines of early March 2026—emphasizing developments in the Iran war, Trump’s domestic agenda and legislative standoff in Congress, shifting views on socialism, updates in education policy, and the cultural and faith stories energizing the MAGA base.
This episode centers on the rapidly escalating conflict in Iran following U.S. and Israeli military strikes and the political ripple effects at home. The hosts discuss President Trump’s firm stance on legislative priorities—particularly the Save America Act—and MAGA red lines concerning the possibility of a draft or boots on the ground. They unpack the appointment of Iran's new Supreme Leader, analyze changes in Cuba and the Western Hemisphere, and dig into the implications of economic pressures like rising oil prices. Other themes include concerns over the behavioral health industry’s influence on American education, cultural touchpoints, shifting American attitudes toward socialism, and a noteworthy message about faith and values from a high-profile game show runner-up.
The War Expands: U.S. and Israeli strikes have killed the Iranian ayatollah; his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, is now supreme leader. The panel discusses fears of escalating war, region-wide instability, and U.S. troops at risk.

The panel doesn’t shy from criticizing perceived failings (even within their own party), nor from celebrating victories. Faith, family, and traditional values are recurring touchstones throughout.
American Sunrise on March 9th, 2026 is a window into MAGA America’s worldview at a pivotal moment: navigating the risks and uncertainties of a high-stakes foreign intervention, waging legislative battles for election security and social conservatism, and resisting both internal and external shifts toward progressive ideals like socialism. The episode balances breaking news with deeper reflections, always encouraging its audience to remain engaged, vigilant, and steadfast in faith and principle.
