Ahead on American Sunrise, this woman here, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene says she is leaving Congress in January. So what does that mean for MAGA and the already slim GOP majority in Congress? Plus, exclusive reporting from just the news on President Trump gearing up to designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terror organization. John Solomon joins us in just moments to explain. And then later, despite telling troops to ignore unlawful orders from President Trump, could Michigan Senator Lee Slotkin name just one of those supposed unlawful orders? You'll have to stick around to find out those stories and so much more right now on American Sunrise.
David Brody
Good morning America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.

Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning, everybody. Happy Monday. Happy Thanksgiving week. I'm Dr. G. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David Brody. He's in Washington D.C. and Terrance Bates is in our Denver newsroom. Happy Thanksgiving week, you guys. I am so ready to kick off this Christmas season. How about you?
David Brody
Yes, ma'.
Terrence Bates
Am. I can't wait for football in Turkey. You know, I know they say gluttony's a sin, but I'm preparing to sin because I'm about to do something gluttonous to this food that hits my table. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You know, hey, it is what it is. Look, guys, so look, MTG is leaving Congress in January. It's kind of been the big story since Friday. It's what story I've been following all weekend. Obviously all of this after what some are calling a public feud, you can call it a spat, a disagreement. Whatever it is, it has led to this. She is out with this message on X. Take a listen.
Dr. Gina
Through it all, I never changed or went back on my campaign promises and only disagreed in a few areas, like my stance against H1BS replacing American jobs, AI state moratoriums, debt for life, 50 year mortgage scams, standing strongly against all involvement in foreign wars and demanding the release of the Epstein files. Other than that, my voting record has been solidly with my party and the president. Loyalty should be a two way street and we should be able to vote our conscience and represent our district's interest because our job title is literally representative. America first should mean America first and only Americans first with no other foreign country ever being attached to To America first in our halls of government.
Terrence Bates
All right, Dr. Gina, what do you make of what you just heard there?
Dr. Gina
Well, you know, it is the job of a representative to represent their district. It is their charge. And I just. I respect independence. I didn't always agree with everything that MTG did, certainly not on her speaker vote, among maybe some other things I'm not sure about. But I respected her reasoning for representing her own district, and I think that that is a really important policy for representatives. I don't know, David. I sound like I'm being repetitive. You say something intelligent because it's not coming to me.
David Brody
Well, if you want something intelligent, let's go right to the Bible verse, because I don't know about that. Listen, I'll say a couple of things. First of all, I think she feels that she's going to be more effective from the outside, and you can be more effective from the outside. What's she gonna do? Well, we're gonna. That sounds like a vamp segment for another. Not another show, but maybe later this show, because I know we gotta get to Bible verse. But I'll just say this. I do believe that she wants to probably run for either governor, maybe senator. I don't know. We'll have to ask her when she's on this show next. But beyond all of that, I think she'll be more effective from the outside pushing America, what she calls America first, some will say America only. As a matter of fact, you heard that word from her, actually. She said America first, and that means only Americans. And I think they're going to be a power broker in 2026 and 2028. I think that's exactly what's on tap here. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Tucker Carlson, the America only crowd. And the reason I'm saying America only, to be clear, that's not a dis, by the way. So don't anybody take it that way. But they are obviously a lot more isolationist. They are a focus on domestic issues. Trump sees more of a global economy. That's the difference. And so I think they want to be a power broker, and I think MTG in that role on the outside can do that. Plus, the writing's on the wall. Let's be honest. Republicans are in for a potential train wreck in 2026. She could be in the minority party. And not to mention, she's got a. You know, she's been having this spat with President Trump, and that's just only going to get worse in a primary fight. So I totally understand the reasons for it.
Dr. Gina
Interesting. Very interesting. The whole thing is interesting. Our politics on Friday was just making my head spin. All right, let's get to today's Bible verse because it's always the calm and the storm. Psalm 89, verse 15. Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound. They walk, O Lord, in the light of your countenance. So true. And we have to remember to remain there. Sometimes it's hard, though. Sometimes it's hard. And we are with you in that, by the way, because I know the holidays, we get real jolly on a morning show during the holidays. But I just want to point out for those of you who maybe this holiday is a struggle for one reason or another. We understand that too. And it's not always a cakewalk just because we put on a smile on TV every single day. All right, as we've been discussing, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene announced that she's leaving Congress in January. MTG and President Trump had a public feud where Trump called her a lunatic and withdrew his endorsement from her. Here's more of the Congresswoman's announcement. I have too much self respect and dignity. I love my family way too much and I do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President that we all fought for only to fight and win my election. While Republicans will likely lose the midterms and in turn be expected to defend the President against impeachment after he hatefully dumped tens of millions of dollars against me and tried to destroy me. It's all so absurd and completely unserious. I refuse to be a battered wife hoping it all goes away and gets better. If I am cast aside by the President and the MAGA political machine and replaced by neocons, big pharma, big tech, military industrial war complex for foreign leaders and the elite donor class that can never ever relate to real Americans, then many common Americans have been cast aside and replaced as well. There is no plan to save the world or a 4D chess game being played when common American people realize and understand that the political industrial complex of both parties is ripping this country apart. For more, let's bring in the editor in chief for just the news, John Solomon. John, wow, there are so many. I had fun this weekend, sort of surveying folks in my orbit, asking them what they thought of MTG's resignation and the answers were pretty, pretty interesting. But I know you've got the inside scoop, John. We want to know if there's anything.
Terrence Bates
More to the scoop than what happened, which is that President Trump crunched her because she wouldn't toe the party line on messaging on Epstein, not on the release of the documents, but on messaging. And she threw a fit and she quit. I mean, I don't think Marco Rubio would have called himself a battered spouse when he was called Little Marco by President Trump. And I think there's an awful lot of drama in this. It doesn't reflect politics is rough and tumble, and if you're not ready to be rough and tumble, then go do something else. And that's what she's done. In the era of Donald Trump, it's much more rough and tumble. But during her years in Congress, very little of what she wanted to accomplish got accomplished, with the exception of the big, beautiful bill, which was Donald Trump's doing, enforcing Congress. So she spent four years in Congress. Her financial situation went better for her. She wrote a book. I think she has a. Her company has done very well since she's been in Congress. But at the end of the day, if you're not willing to take the shots to get the American people what you want, you. You should step aside. And I think that's what she did. But the idea that she's a battered wife is a little over the top. I mean, Donald Trump shellacs everybody, and that's just the way it is. And it wasn't that she was a woman. It was simply that she wasn't toeing the line on messaging. And President Trump thought she was obfuscating the successes of the Democrats, excuse me, of the Republicans, by taking up the Democratic talking points on Jeffrey Epstein. So it's nothing more. Nothing more complex than that.
David Brody
Yeah, you know, a lot more to unpack, for sure. We'll have to do it another time. She has been using the female card quite often. She did that on the View often. And she's been doing that, which is interesting. I've noticed that, John.
Terrence Bates
I'm sure she's headed for television.
David Brody
Okay.
Terrence Bates
I would not be surprised if she ends up on television.
David Brody
Yeah, yeah. Maybe even the View. Who knows? All right, just the news. Another exclusive. This is just getting boring, John. All these exclusives. Just kidding.
Terrence Bates
Thank you.
David Brody
President Trump telling you guys, as in you, he will designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization. And of course, he said it will be done in the strongest, the strongest, strongest way. The final documents being worked on. Tell us more, John.
Terrence Bates
It could be announced as early as 4 o' clock today. The President has an executive order, executive order signing then. It could be tomorrow or today. But there's some expectation that it could be today. This is a long promised effort. He wanted to do this alongside of Congress in his first term. He didn't have a willing partner in Congress. And it's kind of ironic because even in Egypt, where the Muslim Brotherhood was born decades ago, it is banned in Egypt, but the United States has yet to declare it a foreign terrorist. Greg Abbott, the Texas governor, used his state powers to declare the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization last week. Shortly after, we did a long series of stories on them and their fomenting of violence and radicalization of young people across the world. And on Sunday morning, President Trump reached out and said, I'm doing it. And we were able to get some quotes from him, and we. We went out with it. This will be widely well received across the world. The Sunni world does not like the Muslim Brotherhood. Qatar maybe being the one exception. They have some relationship, but all the others have chafed under the Muslim Brotherhood and their radicalization. Bibi Netanyahu saw the just the news story and immediately praised President Trump yesterday afternoon, saying, it was a great move and it will make the world safer. And as you know, when the President designates you a foreign terrorist organization, you sometimes will face pretty significant retribution pretty quickly. Just ask the Venezuelan drug cartels how their boats are doing in the Caribbean these days. So this opens up a lot of new tools for the President to crack down on this long, radical Islamist group. Yeah, John, I definitely want to talk about Venezuela, too, but I'll hold that for the next time we talk, because it looks like there's some development when it relates to the Trump administration and his push for Venezuela. But first, I do want to talk about Michigan Senator Lee Slotnick. She, of course, was one of those senators calling on military troops to ignore illegal Trump orders. Kind of the bigger story here is she was asked, okay, well, what's one of those illegal orders?
David Brody
And.
Terrence Bates
And here was her answer.
Dr. Gina
Let's talk right now.
David Brody
Do you believe President Trump has issued any illegal orders? To my knowledge, I am not aware of things that are illegal, but certainly.
Dr. Gina
There are some legal gymnastics that are.
David Brody
Going on with these Caribbean strikes and everything related to Venezuela.
Terrence Bates
All right, John, time for some sound effects. Yeah, there's no doubt about it. The Peanuts would have loved that one. Listen, at the end of the day, this is all about the politics. There's no substance behind it. It was a stunt. And, of course, the media plays into the stunt. And so they get their five minutes of fame, and then when they're asked, well, what are you protesting? They don't really have an example. And I think that's why the president so aggressively called them out. Most Americans seem to support the drug strikes. When you look at the polling data, people in Michigan who've been the subject of mass poisoning and chemical weaponry brought by the drug cartels are probably grateful that the president's done something, closed the border and picked off some of these ships. And so she has to be careful. Right. She's glad to get the headline. But then when you drill down, is this illegal, this Venezuela stuff, she kind of gives a muddled answer because she knows in her home state people appreciate that the president carried on with his promise. Remember, the president promised doing this during the campaign and he delivered. And I think in Michigan, people like politicians who deliver on their promises. Hey, John, just really quickly, 20 seconds. There's reporting out this morning that the president or the administration is going to mount some sort of action potentially as soon as this week against Venezuela. What are you hearing still up in the air? There are contingency plans by the military for everything from a full strike to limited strike. It could also be a pressure move to try to get a better deal with Maduro and the negotiations that are going on. President Trump always keeps all options on the table. So I don't think there's been a decision made on that. And I think right now the president's most focused on reeling in this Ukraine, Russia deal, which for which there was tremendous progress on Sunday in negotiations in Switzerland. Okay, thanks, John.
Dr. Gina
John Solomon, thank you for your time.
David Brody
Thanks, John.
Terrence Bates
Good to be with you guys. Love the show.
Dr. Gina
Happy Thanksgiving.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Jeffrey.

And we've been talking about it all morning long. Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene leaving Congress in January. The move comes after Greene and President Trump had a public spat during which the president called her a raging lunatic. He even withdrew his endorsement. Greene, of course, was first elected in 2020 and had been a key Trump ally really for the last five years. For more, let's bring in RAV's chief White House correspondent Brian Glenn. He is at the White House this morning with the very latest. Bea Good. Good morning, Terrence. All right, so what's the mood there at the White House? How is the White House responding to this latest move involving mtg? Yeah, I have not seen an official statement from the White House, only what President Trump has pushed out on true social referring to as what we now know as Marjorie Trader Brown also mentioned her when he made his departure over the weekend from the White House, saying that basically she was a nice person but philosophically disagreed with the president on a couple issues. So no official word here from the White House. But if I could just for a moment, I want to push back on John Solomon earlier on the on the segment now. I have all the respect in the world for John Solomon, but he did leave out a cute a few things that Marjorie Taylor Greene was able to do and impeach Alejandra Mayorkas. He tried to lead the impeachment on Joe Biden. Couldn't get the Republican Party to support her on that, renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. And a lot of the bills that she really stood for, Terrence, things like protect Children's Innocence act, protecting transgender surgeries on kids. One of the things that the president stands for can get the conference involved on that make American elections safe again. This is in ballot to basically redo the census and make sure that our elections are safe and can get the conference to support her on that. So there's a numbers numerous things that yes, she wanted to do, but it's not because she didn't want to do it. Terrence is because a conference and a Congress right now doesn't have the ability to pass some of these bills. So I do respect John with all of his work and we've been friends for a while. But I just wanted to mention that because he alluded to that she hasn't accomplished anything in Congress and indeed she has and she's other things. No tax on your home sales is another very popular bill, but yet it remains to collect dust on the Speaker Johnson's desk. All right. Brian Glenn reporting for us from the White House. Brian, we'll be checking in with you later on a busy day at the White House. I must admit I'm a little excited about noon when the Christmas tree comes. I'll have my eyes on the White House for that. It probably won't be able to fit in my house, but I'll have my eyes on that. That happens at 12 o' clock today. And then as John mentioned earlier, around 4 o', clock, an executive order in the Oval Office. Do we have any idea what that executive order is going to be? Or is the White House keeping that specific issue a little close to the vest? You know, I haven't heard from the White House on that, but things that I heard support what John said probably around the designated the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. I would imagine it's probably that, but we've seen things change on the fly. Could be something else. But obviously that takes place at 4 o' clock and we will be in there to bring you that coverage. All right. And we'll be checking back with you. Be appreciated, my brother. Have a great rest of the day. I'm sure I'll be talking to you at some point. You're just warming me up for the holidays. You know, the nieces and nephews calling me Titi. Getting back in the groove. We are. I want to show you this, though. This is from the weekend. So this is from Breckenridge, Colorado. This is a snow devil.
David Brody
Isn't that cool, huh?
Terrence Bates
Okay. It's like a snow tornado, it looks like. Is that kind of what a snow devil is? I see tornadoes. Yeah.
David Brody
Yeah.
Dr. Gina
Think of like a dust devil. So these are harmless. It's not gonna be, you know, on the same scale as a tornado. But it's basically when the sun heats those air parcels at the surface very quickly and the air and a few, you know, snowflakes start to rise and they start to spin as the wind picks up with height.
Terrence Bates
So kind of a cool thing, but.
Dr. Gina
I don't know if I've ever seen one. And hey, this guy snowboarded through it. Terrance, do you ski or snowboard?
Terrence Bates
I ski, but these days, very slowly you know, I kind of take the curve and take the curve and then snow plow and check my knee to make sure it's still there, not up the hill. Yeah, that's my snoring, right?
Dr. Gina
It's a french fry. That's all I know.

Philadelphia Eagle fans not in love with the results of last night's or yesterday's game where they lost to the Cowboys on Sunday. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. All right. In FOCUS today, a big move coming from President Trump. We mentioned this at the top of the show, just the news reporting that Trump is getting ready to formally designate the Muslim Brotherhood a foreign terrorist organization. By the way, it is already banned in parts of the Middle east, for example, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, they all banned the Muslim Brotherhood. Now it appears Washington is set to do the same. So what would change the minute the designation drops? Well, let's bring in geopolitical analyst U.S. army veteran Lt. Col. Darren Gobb. Darren, thanks for being here. So this is clearly a big deal. Now. What, what does this look like? What does this mean? How will this affect everybody? Hey, good morning. Yeah. No, calling the Muslim Brotherhood a foreign terrorist organization is kind of like calling a spade a spade is something that's been needed to happen for many years because it's fairly obvious, it would seem. But there are those who are afraid to do this. What does it ultimately mean, though? It means that you're going to do something for the Muslim Brotherhood that we did to places like the Taliban. Al Qaeda, they're not just going to be an organization that claims to have some sort of benevolent features to them, trying to advance their cause peacefully. They're going to be known as an actual terrorist organization. As a result of that, you can bring things like military force alongside to eliminate them if necessary, or where that works best, bring sanctions on nations that support them, whether it be implicitly or just by wink, wink, nod, nod, support, that kind of thing, pretend that they're not there even though we know they're there. There's a lot of nations that have been harboring the Muslim Brotherhood, specifically in the Middle east of Course, but also they're hiding out within our own borders in pretty large quantities. So that will bring in domestic agencies on top of that and help focus them in on this organization as a way to make sure we root them out and stop letting them just sit here and do the damage they've been doing for years.
Dr. Gina
Well, Israel took out Hezbollah as highest ranking commander in a rare strike on Beirut. And the same time, senior Hamas delegation is in Cairo meeting with Egypt's intel chief. So what does this tell us about where the region is heading now?
David Brody
No surprises so far. I think ultimately one thing you don't want to do is become the leader of Hamas or Hezbollah anytime soon. Israel has a way to keep finding them and eliminating them. That becomes a question for those organizations because Hamas specifically had so much leadership eliminated. Who's really left and willing to do it in the first place? So Hamas is largely defeated. We can recognize that they can talk with Egypt and us and others about bringing peace and some sort of settlement to the region, but there's just not much left of them. Hezbollah needs to be paying attention. This is something I thought was going to happen for a while. As they've been rearming, Israel would turn their attention to them again and keep their attention on them. If they continue to rebuild and expect some sort of militant activity out of them towards Israel, that leadership is going to keep getting targeted. It tells Iran that Israel knows what's going on and that they're going to keep targeting Hezbollah too and make sure they can't affect Israel's peace.
Terrence Bates
There are so many hotspots out there that President Trump is working to cool down. One of those, of course, would be the war between Russia and Ukraine. Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying that there's actually been a pretty good amount of progress on the peace plan front between those two nations. Here's just some of what he had to say over the weekend.
David Brody
We began almost three weeks ago with a foundational document that we socialized and ran by both sides and with input from both sides. And one of the things that happens when you've been involved in this now for 10 months is you get a pretty good sense of what the priorities and the red lines and the important issues are for both sides. And so that allowed us to create a foundational document. Document, which has been an ongoing working document. In fact, over the last 96 hours or more, there's been extensive engagement with the Ukrainian side, including our Secretary of the army and others being on the ground in Kyiv, meeting with relevant stakeholders across the Ukrainian political spectrum in the legislative branch and the executive branch and the military and others.
Terrence Bates
So that document he talks about is a 28 point peace plan the Trump administration has created. How optimistic are you that this is the final peace plan, that we're actually going to get somewhere, that we're going to get some traction this time?
David Brody
Well, it's hard to be optimistic at times when you've seen so many peace plans come out and then people start meddling with them and we're going to hold out hope. I guess I would say that I'm over 50% and thinking that whatever the result of this is will work in some regard. But I think pragmatic enough to know that oftentimes when we have 28 points to attempt to achieve a peace, you run the risk of actually setting conditions for another conflict in the future. And you're going to be debating over every single, excuse me, one of these points pretty heavily. And that happens a lot, too. So hopefully it does end this. I suspect there will be some unhappiness on Ukraine and Russia's side, both mostly, it seems like on Ukraine right now. But the military reality on the ground is that Ukraine is been losing traction for quite some time. Russia has been gaining. And although it's not very fast, it does mean that at some point Ukraine is going to have to recognize the fact that it is, it largely has exhausted itself in this war, fought valiantly for sure, but they were overmatched from the beginning. And so do we really want to just continue this or find a way to settle it and stop the bloodshed? Yeah. And the Zelensky government is in the middle of a corruption scandal there specifically. And so the White House knows that and that's why they're putting the pressure on him to cut a deal. Now. Lieutenant Gobb, thanks for being here. Appreciate it. Great stuff. Thanks. Have a good morning.
Terrence Bates
Thanks so much.
David Brody
Okay, coming up next, the truth about Turkey and its surprising health perks. Stay with us, everybody. All right.

Gina.
Dr. Gina
David, thank you. Turkey is healthy. David.
David Brody
I knew you were going to say that. I knew it. All right. Maybe I'll think about turkey this year. No, I won't. Gina, thank you. Now over to tariffs. President Trump has repeatedly touted his use of tariffs, but how are they impacting American companies? Well, one crane rental company praised the use of tariffs, but is calling for them to be narrower. The president and CEO of Bay Crane, Kenneth Bernardo. Bernardo, excuse me. Says it is really hurting American construction. So what more can be done here? Well, let's bring in the man himself, Kenneth Bernardo. Kenneth, thanks for being here on the show. So what do you think? I mean, how should these tariffs be narrowed and to help the construction business? Good morning to you. Good morning. Good morning. Thank you for having me.
Terrence Bates
Certainly we support, you know, the President's efforts to have a more balanced trade and limit and expand manufacturing here in the U.S. you know, some of the.
David Brody
Collateral impact that we're seeing is, you.
Terrence Bates
Know, we're seeing canceled orders and a, you know, a limitation of growth for.
David Brody
Some of some people in our industry.
Terrence Bates
Understanding that about 85% of our industry.
David Brody
Is family owned and small business enterprises. You know, these additional tariffs and the cost that they put on these products that are not available in the United States are limiting a lot of these.
Terrence Bates
Small businesses from going out and investing and.
David Brody
Putting additional cost on their equipment.
Terrence Bates
That equipment that is already in the.
David Brody
Market that they would be competing with now, they have this much higher cost structure. Yeah. So Kenneth, how much, what about your company specifically? I mean, how much if you had to spend or lose, if you will, on unplanned tariffs, I mean, how has that affected you? I mean, what it's done for many.
Terrence Bates
Of us is rather than sourcing new equipment or sourcing equipment that's already, that.
David Brody
Would be coming from overseas, we look to the secondary markets to used equipment and equipment that's here and is tariff free. So it's fundamentally changed our buying habits and caused us both to cancel, cancel.
Terrence Bates
Some orders and then also to seek used equipment instead of new equipment at pre tariff prices.
David Brody
What about a delay? How much of a concern is that regarding delay in shipments and people getting what they need in time? I mean, obviously there's a huge impact.
Terrence Bates
To the industry that is limiting the importation of equipment.
David Brody
So from a manufacturer's perspective, they're seeing these canceled orders and they're seeing additional sources found to kind of plug the gap of this equipment. Yeah, for sure. By the way, if you had 30 seconds in a room with President Trump on this, what's the elevator pitch? What do you tell him specifically on all of this? I mean, I think we talk about.
Terrence Bates
The impact that it's having to these small businesses across the country who, if.
David Brody
You, to give you an example, like.
Terrence Bates
Some of these cranes, you know, could cost say 6 or $7 million. So between the reciprocal, the reciprocal tariffs.
David Brody
Plus the additional 50% steel tariffs, you're.
Terrence Bates
Talking, you know, millions of dollars of additional cost where a small business owner.
David Brody
Says, hey, I don't want to go.
Terrence Bates
Out there and incur this additional expense. And then go out and compete with my competitor in market who may have.
David Brody
Bought his equipment a year ago or.
Terrence Bates
Two years ago or three years ago.
David Brody
It's also causing people to use their equipment longer and modernize less due to the additional expenses. Well, Kenneth Bernardo, hang in there as we like to say. And we appreciate your time. Thanks for being here. Thank you. All right, coming up, rav's own David Zier hitting the road to connect with everyday Americans ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. David will be here next on American Sunrise.
Terrence Bates
Welcome back, everyone. You've probably already popped a pod into the machine there either at work or at home, but does it actually do anything besides give you a short lived spike? Well, rejuvenate pods do do a lot more. Each pod is crafted with clean arabica coffee that's infused with caakg, which is a highly researched ingredient that supports metabolism, cellular energy and long term health. The result is smooth energy, no crash, sharper focus, and mornings that actually stay pretty productive. We use them here at Real America's Voice because they really help us all perform a lot better mentally, physically and in the way that we show up for you, the people around us. If you're using pods anyway, why not switch to ones that fuel your day, not drain it? Visit 1775 coffee.com rav and try rejuvenate pods. Now upgrade your coffee and upgrade your life. The information is there on your screen. Well, now that we're caffeinated, it's time to stay awake, not woke. And today we're focusing on everyday Americans. During this Thanksgiving week, Rav's own David Zier is going to be at the Bethpage Embassy Diner in New York asking about President Trump's first year back in office, affordability concerns and of course, other issues. David joins us now with more on what he expects to hear. David, I'm sorry, my gut says that I should ask you about pancakes versus French toast, links versus patties, but I'll digress. And let's talk affordability because I suspect even at the diner, anyone who can afford to eat at the diner is going to be talking about affordability. Well, they have homemade corned beef hash. Terrence, good morning, Happy Thanksgiving. And man, am I looking forward to that, that eltriptophan nap after eating on Thursday. But listen, we're gonna sit down with hardworking middle class Americans tomorrow. What are they thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday and what are their biggest issues for their lives and their family? Terrence, how are they dealing with high cost of living here in New York, Grocery and gas Prices, taxes, can their kids pursue the American dream? And we're going to sit down with the owner of the diner. It'll be a granular view for a small business struggle. Small businesses face today, high insurance, high utilities, high food cost, can't get good help, you know, so we're going to talk about that. And we have a proposed corporate tax rate hike by the governor here in New York on small businesses. David, I imagine that Friday's meeting between President Trump and Zoran Mandami is going to come up. It's got to. I was surprised that the two were able to be so, so cordial and seem to at least what they're saying publicly to have found some common ground. Well, listen, this will be a few miles from NYC where hundreds of thousands of commuters commute to New York City, many of them in the financial sector in New York City, right? Small business owners, workers in New York City, cops, firefighters, what are they going to face in the days ahead? And although like leasing numbers are strong in New York City, there's a lot of construction projects going on. Big investors are on the sideline. They're waiting to see what happens in New York City. The good news is Mamdani can't just unilaterally raise taxes on everybody. The governor of New York State really has that veto power for, you know, these larger share of tax costs here. But we're going to follow this really closely. And for everyday Americans, Terrence, food costs are up about 3% in the last year, at least 30% since 2020. And you know, packages are smaller, there's less content in them. So we're going to gauge, you know, what people are going to do and how they're going to cope with, with this Thanksgiving holiday. But Nassau county is a bellwether for many suburban communities across America. David, I'm curious if it's still accurate to say that as New York goes, so goes the rest of the country. Is New York still widely seen outside of New York State kind of as a litmus test of where we are as a country? I think it is regarding the young vote, Gen Z, 75% going for Mamdani, the DSA, it's a bellwether, you know, with the other things. Look, Katie Wilson's in Seattle, Omar Forte failed in Minnesota. But I think it's something to really keep a close eye on. These young people are getting the wrong messaging but they can't pursue the American dream. They can't buy houses, they can't get high paying jobs out of college, unemployment is about 6% for post grads. You know, so, you know, this would be a real. This is a schism in the Democratic Party. I compare it to like MAGA versus establishment Republican years ago when that started to, you know, break apart and drag the party to the right. Well, will the DSA drag the party to the left? And that's really what's going on in New York City as financial businesses flee to Florida and Texas and others. What will be the jobs in New York city available for 20 to 40 year old people? Average homeownership is 59 in the U.S. it was 31 in 1981. Yeah, I think you bring up a great point. The whole idea of the American dream, particularly for younger people, it's a nightmare. It's an unattainable dream because they can't buy a home, they can't afford to start a family. There's some serious, real challenges out there right now. Yeah, there are. I think next year the economy is going to take off like a rocket ship if it come down another 100 basis points. But think about it. Local property tax, Nassau County, Suffolk County. The average property tax is $8,000 a year right out of the gate. It's $1,000 a month before you even wake up to take care of your house. Right. Without your mortgage. And that even at 4 1/2% down from say, 6.7 right before Trump took office, even if they go down to four and a half, it's still unattainable. When the average price on Long island for a home in Nassau county is $485,000. Right. You can't come out of the gate, out of college with a $6,000 a month overhead. So we need real solutions. They got to happen in real time. I hope that, you know, things get better. I think they will, but, you know, there's a gap, right? They need help now. I think things will get really better in May of next year. Say, will it be enough for the house to keep the, you know, house red?
David Brody
Mm.
Terrence Bates
We'll find out. Before I let you go, I'm sorry, but my belly's got to know. Are you a pancakes or French toast guy? Well, I can't have either because I'm diabetic. I'm more like egg whites and turkey. I'm sorry, but I will get some corned beef hash tomorrow. Looking forward to. To it. All right. We'll be checking in with you. Always good to see you, my friend. If I don't happen to talk to you before Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving. To you and your family. Same to you, Terence. Thank you. Thanks so much, my friend. That was David Zier, of course. Always appreciate having him. We've got more American Sunrise coming your way right after this break.
David Brody
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
Dr. Gina
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's time now for our moments of faith brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible. In focus today, the Messiah who's been pursuing you from the start. A new book, transformed by the Messiah, reveals Jesus in both testaments and God's plan for your life today, especially this hope matters. Rabbi Jason Sobel uncovers the prophecies, the patterns, and the purpose. And this morning, he's here to connect all of the dots for us. Rabbi Sobel, welcome to American Sunrise.
David Brody
Shalom. Thank you so much for having me back again. It's great to be with you.
Dr. Gina
It's great to have you. So what inspired you to write this book?
David Brody
Yeah, I think now more than ever we need hope.
Terrence Bates
And hope is the belief that our.
David Brody
Future is going to be better than our path past.
Terrence Bates
And really, Jesus shows us what true hope is and what true transformation and change can look like in our life. Because part of hopelessness is thinking things can't change. But Jesus models for us what change.
David Brody
Can look like in our lives.
Dr. Gina
Amen to that. Hope is everything. So walk us through. How does this book connect to your work as the spiritual advisor for the chosen?
Terrence Bates
Yeah, I mean, part of the passion.
David Brody
Of the chosen is to really bring the Bible to life by connecting Jesus.
Terrence Bates
To his historical Jewish context. And that's exactly what we do in this book. It's a continuation of that work. So we want to help people see.
David Brody
The Bible in high definition and experience him in a new way, just like the chosen does. So, for example, we're coming into this.
Terrence Bates
Christmas season and the angels come to the shepherds and say a baby will be born in a manger and wrapped in swaddling cloth.
David Brody
And they don't need.
Terrence Bates
Why is this the sign?
David Brody
Well, think about it. These are not ordinary shepherds.
Terrence Bates
They were Levitical shepherds.
David Brody
And they were raising the Passover lambs. And the Passover lambs were birthed in caves.
Terrence Bates
So the place where Jesus is born.
David Brody
Is the same caves where the Passover lambs are born.
Terrence Bates
And he's born for the same purpose, to give his life as the lamb, Lamb of God, to take away the.
David Brody
Sins of the world. The Passover lambs were swaddled and Jesus is buried in a cave, and he's.
Terrence Bates
Born in a cave. And he's swaddled in linen cloth and.
David Brody
He'S buried in linen cloth. And it points to the redemption that.
Terrence Bates
He came to bring to all of us.
Dr. Gina
It is amazing to see how all of these stories come full circle. And I will say, you know, the, the story of the birth of Jesus wasn't exactly the most glamorous way to give birth, yet still, you have to hold on to that hope and know that he is the son of God. Tell us about your individual spiritual journey and how it ultimately led you to write about Jesus in the first place.
Terrence Bates
Yeah.
David Brody
I grew up in a Jewish family in the Holy Land, New Jersey, where there were more Jews than in Jerusalem. Was working in the music industry, looked at the lives of all these famous.
Terrence Bates
People and said to myself, there has to be more to life than just this.
David Brody
Went on a spiritual journey. And a friend came to faith and.
Terrence Bates
He said, jason, can you tell the difference between the Old and the New Testament? He read me this passage.
David Brody
He was bruised for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities by his stripes are healed. He said, jason, old or new?
Terrence Bates
I said, that's Jesus, New Testament.
David Brody
He said, no, that's the Jewish prophet Isaiah 53 speaking 700 years earlier. He began to provoke me to jealousy. And ultimately I had an encounter with.
Terrence Bates
Jesus that led me to faith in him as a Jewish person.
Dr. Gina
Rabbi Sobel, what a pleasure speaking with you this morning. Thank you so much for coming on American Sunrise. And for all of our viewers, scan that QR code at the bottom of your screen and you'll be able to check out the book. Thanks again.
Terrence Bates
Thank you so much.
Dr. Gina
We'll be back with the second hour of American Sunrise in just two minutes. St.
Terrence Bates
Coming up on this second hour of American Sunrise, the Clintons could face contempt of Congress charges as House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has ordered both Bill and Hillary to appear for depositions next month. All of this is part of an expanded probe into disgraced child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. We'll have those details straight ahead. Plus, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is leaving Congress at the beginning of the year. This follows a public falling out with President Trump. The president's reaction straight ahead. And then later, a government watchdog group is blowing the whistle on the Internal Revenue Service, saying that the IRS has failed to implement recommended reforms. Stick around for those stories and so much more as the second hour of American Sunrise starts right now.
David Brody
Good morning, America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American.
Dr. Gina
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina.
David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G and Wes Palm T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning to both of you. The holiday season is here. Thanksgiving on Thursday. Dr. G, what about Christmas decorations? When did they go up in your house?
Dr. Gina
Oh, heck to the Mm.
David Brody
I'm sorry. What? I'm sorry. What was that again?
Terrence Bates
Heck to the yeah.
David Brody
Yes. Oh, heck to the yeah. I'm sorry. No, but my. So you're saying they're already up? Is that what you're telling me?
Dr. Gina
They're going. It's always a process, David. It's a process until about the day of Christmas, then I stop.
David Brody
Got it.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. But I was literally just sending stuff over that I want to order. Like, I love those new, like, massive, big Christmas balls you can put in your yard. I love those. But this year is a very, very holy year for me because I just got back from Israel, had a couple of amazing experiences I haven't even had a chance to talk about on the show. And I really want, like, nativity front and center everywhere. Yeah.
David Brody
Okay.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
David Brody
That's awesome.
Dr. Gina
Always making new centerpieces for my tables and things like that because I love tablescapes. I know you all are very into the tablescapes, too, but I'm into.
David Brody
Yes. I'm on pin interest all the time. Right. Yeah, of course.
Dr. Gina
Pin interest.
Terrence Bates
What'd you call it? Pin interest.
David Brody
Oh, I'm sorry. Pinterest. Oh, my bad. Boy, I just dated myself. Boy, I'm, like, 90 years old. Sorry.
Terrence Bates
Pin interest.
David Brody
I can't believe I just said that. My kids are gonna see that and just rip me later.
Dr. Gina
And that's Sandy. That's our Christmas tree. She's made of sand. Every single year, right here on the waterfront in Palm Beach. That I recognize. And that is actually. She's much taller than she looks. If you can look at the height of the cars, you'll realize how tall she actually is. And also that's right here in West Palm Beach. And also right behind Sandy is our ice rink here in Palm beach, which many don't expect.
Terrence Bates
Ice rink in Palm Beach?
David Brody
Yes.
Dr. Gina
We have an ice skating rink.
Terrence Bates
I'm not going to even comment.
Dr. Gina
Ice skating rink. Right behind Sandy right there on Palm beach at the Bend Hotel. It's really beautiful.
Terrence Bates
Wow. Yeah. I can't imagine ice skating when it's 85 degrees outside. That's and in shorts it's got to be an interesting experience. But you gave me a great entree to our first news story because tis the season at The White House. Dr. Gina First Lady Melania Trump scheduled to welcome this year's White House Christmas tree to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It's set to arrive right around lunchtime. The timing a bit ironic. Although this week of Thanksgiving, during which food is on most of our minds, the president also set to sign another executive order later today. We are working to find out exactly what that executive order is going to address. It's supposed to happen about 4 o' clock this afternoon. Well, there are some major questions being asked this morning about whether the Department of Government Efficiency or DOGE has been disbanded after eight months and ahead of its scheduled end in July of next year year. Reuters quotes the director of the Office of Personnel Management, Scott Kupper as saying the agency doesn't exist and is no longer as a, no longer a quote, centralized entity. Taking the X on Sunday though, this is the Post Cupper explaining that the truth is that Doge may not have centralized leadership under USDs, but the principles of Doge remain alive and well. While Cupper's post still doesn't clarify whether DOGE is still an active agency, he does say that doge's principles will be institutionalized. And in case you happen to miss it, President Trump hosted communist and self proclaimed democratic Socialist Zoran Mondami at the White House on Friday. The commander in chief saying that he and New York's mayor elect actually agree on a number of issues. I think you're going to have hopefully a really great mayor. The better he does, the happier I am. I will say there's no difference in party, there's no difference in anything. And we're going to be helping him to make everybody's dream come true, having a strong and very safe New York.
David Brody
And congratulations, Mr. Mayor.
Terrence Bates
Thank you, Mr. President. That was a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast with meteorologist Tracy Anthony. We're also going to put up this QR code here at the bottom of your screen for you to join our friends over at Weather Nation. Tracy, time for one of my favorite parts of the show, the hometown forecast. Good Morning. I'm sorry.
Dr. Gina
T.T.
David Brody
Yeah, good morning.
Dr. Gina
T. Yeah, this is from Michigan. They're lighting their Christmas trees as well. We've got a couple hometown forecasts today, gonna take you to Alaska. First, this is Wassella, Alaska. So they are actually the exception. They're gonna be warming up this week where the rest of the country, once we get past the Wednesday, we're going to be plummeting. So most of us are going to.
David Brody
Feel that polar vortex.
Dr. Gina
But also wanted to check in with Las Vegas, Roddy. Mom, I know you always think we're wrong, but I know for sure Vegas won't have any snow, at least in the city there. But those viewers on Getter now, we are going to continue to have 35 million people under some dense fog advisories here this morning. We're tracking two systems that are going to impact us here for the week and that's going to impact Thanksgiving Day travel. But also want to show you what we're expecting into the weekend. And this is that polar vortex, so bracing for some Arctic cold that's going to drop our temperatures down to the teens and even in the single digits. Terrence.
Terrence Bates
Okay, that means I'll be staying in all weekend. Always good to see you. Trace your touchscreen, Tracy TT we'll talk to you tomorrow.
Dr. Gina
Sounds good.
Terrence Bates
All right, once again, folks, you see there at the bottom of your screen, you can scan that QR code and join our friends over at Weather Nation. All right, let's get things back over to David Brody. David. Bill and Hillary Clinton making headlines again?
David Brody
Oh, they sure are. They might have left the political scene, but not really right. Both Bill and Hillary Clinton have been ordered to appear T. Bates for depositions next month as the House expands its probe into Jeffrey Epstein. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer had previously subpoenaed, subpoenaed, excuse me, the former first couple in August. But an attorney for the Clintons pushed for a written statement instead. Well, joining us now with reaction is the host of America's Voice Live, Steve Gruber show right here on rav. That would be Steve Gruber. Hey, Steve. So these depositions, they're slated for December 17th and 18th. Comer, by the way, as you might imagine, and he's dead serious about contempt of Congress charges if they don't show up. Of course, the full House is going to have to pass that and then the DOJ would have to go forward with the charges. What are your thoughts about all this? Good morning to you. Hello, Steve. Do we hear Steve? Let me fix this, Steve.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, yeah, let me fix that for you.
David Brody
You're better with audio. Sorry about that. That was my fault.
Dr. Gina
So even better with audio.
David Brody
Even better. So thank you. I don't think they're going to show.
Terrence Bates
Taking away from this. Go ahead, Steve. Well, look, Bill, Bill and Hillary are.
David Brody
The gift to keep on giving, but.
Terrence Bates
I don't think they're going to show. I don't think there's any chance now.
David Brody
At all that they're going to show up.
Terrence Bates
Should they?
David Brody
Sure they should. The Clinton foundation, as dirty as the day is long, everybody knows this.
Terrence Bates
And Bill Clinton, if he's going to.
David Brody
Give a written deposition or a written.
Terrence Bates
Statement, is it going to include diagrams.
David Brody
Of how many times we flew back and forth to Jeffrey Epstein's island? We can have like dates and flights, a little map and where he flew from and what he did in diagrams.
Terrence Bates
I mean, come on, they need to be held accountable. They won't be. They won't be. And that's the sad thing that we have in America. We have a two tiered justice system.
David Brody
We have justice for you and I.
Terrence Bates
If we did any of the things.
David Brody
That these people did, we'd be in jail, rightfully so.
Terrence Bates
They get to enrich themselves and walk.
David Brody
Merrily along and whistle all the way till the end of the.
Terrence Bates
It's, it's infuriating and yet nothing's ever.
David Brody
Going to change as far as that goes.
Terrence Bates
We have a two tiered justice system.
David Brody
People like Steve Bannon, they get to go to jail.
Terrence Bates
Peter Navarro, they get to go to jail for not showing up for a congressional subpoena. These folks, I just don't believe it.
David Brody
I'm sorry, I don't. I think it'd be a great Christmas gift to America to see them talk a week before Christmas, but I just don't see it.
Dr. Gina
Tina peters.
Terrence Bates
Yeah.
Dr. Gina
J6ers.
David Brody
Yeah, really sorry.
Dr. Gina
T. Go ahead.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, you can add to the list, Steve. Want to talk about President Trump's response to the news that Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene is going to be leaving Congress at the beginning of the year. In a short phone conversation with ABC News, the President saying that it's great news for the country. Many others, of course, have argued that the public spat between the two is tearing MAGA apart. I'd love to get your take on how all of this has unfolded and how quickly it's unfolded.
David Brody
I think it's disappointing. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say it's just disappointing to have this happen. She's one of the most vocal supporters of Donald Trump, one of the most vocal critics of Joe Biden and his.
Terrence Bates
Administration, one of the vocal Critics of socialism.
David Brody
I'll say this, I have a couple of different opinions about this. First of all, I listened to her.
Terrence Bates
10, 11 minute post on X. I agree with a lot about what she.
David Brody
Said, that ordinary Americans get forgotten, that ordinary Americans can't afford things. Ordinary Americans are ignored except in election.
Terrence Bates
Season, which we're in now. So all the politicians will retreat to.
David Brody
The safe political talking points that they hope will get them reelected while nothing happens for America and our debt continues to climb past $38 trillion. But here's my complaint for her.
Terrence Bates
You campaigned for the job.
David Brody
You went and campaigned for the job.
Terrence Bates
Now, if you don't want to continue after this term, okay, then don't run for reelection. But quitting in the middle of it. I didn't like it when Mark Green did it to take a big lucrative contract and left Tennessee without one of the representatives.
David Brody
I don't like it when she does it. Look, you ran for the job.
Terrence Bates
And even though I may agree with her on some things about something she said about affordability and forgetting about the average American, which she says she represents, and Georgia, 14, I get all that. But quitting because politics is ugly.
David Brody
Of course politics is ugly.
Terrence Bates
You know that. Yet you campaign for the job. And so that's the part that disappoints me about this.
David Brody
And when anybody does this, I don't like it. And that's my opinion on that.
Terrence Bates
I hope that it goes away. I don't think that it helps moving America forward.
David Brody
I don't think it helps America first. I don't think it helps any of those things. And a public spat like this gives Democrats something to talk about other than their massive failures. So it's disappointing in a variety of reasons. But quitting, I don't like quitting. I don't like quitting. All right, I'll just say that.
Terrence Bates
I'm with you on that, Steve.
Dr. Gina
The whole thing is an interesting study for sure, and I think we'll have to watch, like what she does next, I think will be extremely telling in terms of what's really going on here.
Terrence Bates
Well, there are some theories about that. Now, aren't there a lot of theories about what happens next as far as.
David Brody
What she does next, as far as far as where she appears next.
Terrence Bates
She's not going to leave the public.
David Brody
Stage, I don't think.
Terrence Bates
I mean, she says she's going back.
David Brody
To her family and friends.
Terrence Bates
I can appreciate that. But again, finish your term.
David Brody
That would have been my only advice.
Terrence Bates
Finish your term. You campaigned for the job. You knew it was ugly.
Dr. Gina
Steve, I want to get to this really fast because I think it's such an important question. The whole thing with Pam Bondi saying, you know, the heat has turned up. We're hearing a lot about it. Former Trump attorney calling for the attorney general and Lindsey Halligan to be disbarred over their handling of former FBI Director James Comey's indictment. What do you think?
David Brody
Look, it should have been a slam dunk. So there's a lot of questions here. James Comey, if he weasels out of.
Terrence Bates
This, a lot of people are going to be angry.
David Brody
I think everybody on this screen right.
Terrence Bates
Now is going to be angry if.
David Brody
James Comey can weasel out of this on technicalities or whatnot. I think that James Comey is despised by the left and the right and he earned that. The world's tallest boy Scout was certainly not a boy Scout. He was. He needs again, he needs to be held accountable, not a two tiered justice system. Yeah, I think you make a great point. If James Comey, if that situation doesn't even go to trial, I think that's the final nail in the coffin. Steve, thanks for being here. Appreciate it.
Dr. Gina
Thanks, Steve.
Terrence Bates
Thank you.
David Brody
All right. Coming up, a new GAO report. Government Accountability Office. They say the IRS is dropping the ball. Really?
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
David Brody
With dozens of critical fixes still unfinished, from a growing tax gap to cybersecurity risks, we're going to break it all down inside the irs. After the break.
Terrence Bates
Get ready. Get ready.
Dr. Gina
Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm American Sunrise contributor Emily Finn. It's great to have you with us this morning. Time now to drain the swamp. And this morning, we are flushing out the irs. A damning new watchdog report is shining a harsh light on the irs and the findings are hard to ignore. The Government Accountability Office says the tax agency has failed to implement most of its priority recommendations, leaving critical problems unresolved. From the growing tax gap to cybersecurity risks. The GAO warns that 26 high priority recommendations remain open along with more than 200 others as the IRS struggles with staff shortages, outdated technology and shrinking funding. And in a letter to Acting Commissioner Scott Besant, the comptroller general says the agency is falling behind on everything from audits of large partnerships to tracking paper returns to protecting sensitive taxpayer data. We do want to know what you think. Let us know on rumble or getter. Hop on and let your voice be heard. Coming up, we're headed down to Wall street for the opening bell and the start of a short week of trading for the stock market but first, here's a message from David Brody on what you need to know about crypto.com.
David Brody

There you have it right there. All right. All right, let's get you ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's set to ring here in just a few minutes. And I can tell you that pre market trading is looking pretty decent. You can see the major indices here, the dow, S P 500 and the NASDAQ all in the green. The bell is going to ring here in about six minutes or so. Here, let me look at my clock. Yeah, about seven minutes or so. And then we'll get an idea of how this first day of trading of the week or ultimately shakes out again. We'll take you to the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange here in short order. First, though, let's get you over to David Brody. David, good morning.
David Brody
Good morning. C. Bates. All right. Time now for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. We've got American Sunrise Early EDITION host, the guy behind Jake's Take, substack, Jake Novak. Jake, look, look, we understand you're shopping exclusively at 7:11. We understand that. And also apparently at Gus's Pickles down in New York this year. But for everyone else, who are the hot retailers, or I should say, who are the hot retailers for this Christmas season so far? I mean, Gus Pickles tops my list, obviously. Carnegie Deli. I say Carnegie. I'm sorry, Kat's Delicatessen, not Carnegie Deli. But what about you? You just threw a dagger in my heart. Carnegie Deli. I know. It's gone, right? Actually, so is Gus's Pickles. You can get some of that stuff online. But I used to go to the Lower east side and get. And the sauerkraut, don't forget the sauerkraut. These are the places I shop, by the way. You know, when I give gifts, they're good, but you got to open them quickly or they start to, you know, go bad. But all kidding aside, you know, they say sometimes when some companies are doing well and others aren't, they call it a stock pickers market. Well, it's a retail picker. There are some retailers that are doing really well so far. You know, the first one I'm going to say is Walmart, but it's also Gap. The Gap, which used to be, by the way, a huge bellwether for the markets. Gap earnings every three months used to have the entire market on edge. They don't pay as much attention anymore to them, but they still pay some attention. And the Gap stores are doing very, very well. Remember, that also includes Banana Republic and Old Navy. And then there's TJ Maxx, which includes places like Marshalls in addition to Magnets, and it's TJX Corporation. They're doing really well those three. And so to say that we're having a, you know, a weaker people are. Aren't spending as much. It's not true. It just depends on what store you're going to. Meanwhile, the losers are places like Target and they're having a hard time that we've talked about too. Okay. Yeah. It's all about perspective and understanding what's really happening in the market. So, Jake, I'm reluctant to even do this next story. I'm worried it will encourage Apple to pull some kind of kill switch on older iPhones. But people are using their devices longer now, apparently. What's up? Yeah, people used to change their. Now I have a whole theory about this which I don't think is very far fetched. People are keeping their iPhones longer these days now why are they doing that? People like to get new stuff. Well, you know the days of getting the free phones with the new. When you sign up for a plan, those days are almost over. I know that there's a few you hear about once in a while, but that used to be standard. You would, you wouldn't have to pay for the phone. On top of getting signing up for a plan, now it's the other way around. It's unusual to get a free phone. So there you have it. People aren't looking to pay a couple thousand dollars or whatever it is for the new phone and the new plan. And that's why people are holding onto their phones longer. But like I said, I'm a little bit worried. Like you said, I'm a little bit worried about saying the story because now the folks at Apple are gonna see this segment and say we need to push a button and kill anything older than an iPhone 16. I hope they don't do that. But honestly, these phones, people don't wanna pay extra out of pocket for them. Wait, real quick, where are we on the iPhone updates? What are we. IPhone?
Terrence Bates
What?
David Brody
I have a 16 max. That's old. What are we at? No, I think it's 17. So you're 17. You're good, David. Yeah. All right, good to know. I have the Flintstone phone, so. Yeah, of course, yeah. Where you kind of run up like that and you get there goes the phone.
Terrence Bates
Yeah.
David Brody
All right, Jake, activist in la, they're pulling a nasty stunt against Home Depot right now. So what's going on there? You're shaking your head. Oh yeah, this is annoying to me. Look at these people here in Los Angeles. They're going to Home Depot. They're protesting the Fact that Home Depot is, quote unquote, cooperating with ice, clearing out illegal aliens who hang out in front of Home Depot looking for day labor work. Well, what's Home Depot supposed to do? Shoot the cops? Shoot ice? I mean, honestly, this is incredible. So what are they doing? They're going into Home Depot and buying ice scrapers, snow scrapers for cars. I don't know how many people need those in LA anyway, but they're for sale there. And then they're immediately returning them and jamming up the lines, the checkout lines at Home Depot. This. I mean, don't you have anything else better to do with your time? This is really quite interesting. Although, by the way, the funny thing about it is if they use a debit card or a credit card to buy that icecraper and then get the return, Home Depot is going to sell your information to every telemarketer and pollster in the country. So you might want to get the new iPhone and change your number because you know that's what you're going to get for this. Honestly, what is Home Depot supposed to do? I would really like to hear build a wall and stop ICE from getting there. I mean, that would be very ironic, wouldn't it? Yeah. And can we talk about these liberal activists for a second? Just on kind of a non business note, just for a moment. Or maybe it's a business note to a degree, but what do they think they're really accomplishing? So they're gonna tie up the return line. And so let's say just, you know, whatever Betty from Peoria is in the return line, who doesn't give a crap about any of this type of stuff. She's just not political. But you can make Betty political and against you guys for tying up the return line and say, you know what? This is what you're doing to me. You're killing me. It's kind of like those same people that protest and shut down the highways on the way to the airport. I mean, what do they think they're doing? Yeah, well, also, you know what's going to happen? There'll be some contractors who need to get some extra stuff for their, for their job site. We're going to see this line and they're not going to wait in that line. They're going to basically push those people out of the way. Look at them. Really, really tough. These people don't look like they're equipped to stand up to construction workers in any part of the country. So I would suggest construction workers. I'm not telling you to commit any act of violence because you won't have to. Just stare them down really, really hard and they'll get out of your way and let you cut the line. Let's just put it that way. For sure. Hey, less than a minute left. But let me ask you about affordability. This is the buzzword, right? We're gonna hear affordability up the proverbial yin yang all the way through 2026. Help me break this down just a little bit because you know the Trump administration's gonna say, yeah, we hear you, voters, but we're working on it. And Trump, of course, thinks everything's great out there, but things aren't fully great. So how do you see it? Like, what is this spin on both sides or what's the reality? And I got, Now I got 30 seconds because I asked a long winded question. No, look, folks, anytime you're talking about the price of anything, there are only two words to talk about. Supply and demand. If you want something, then you're not going to. Your demand won't go down for it necessarily. We must increase supply. And that's the. That's it. That's it.
Terrence Bates
Period.
David Brody
We need more of it. If it's too expensive and we can do a lot by killing regulations and getting that supply chain going and making more things, that's it. That's all I want to talk about. Everything else is politics and nonsense. Jake Novak, great to have you. Too bad I didn't get an EV question and I was trying to. That would ruin your day, though. I know, I know. All right, time for T. Bates in Denver. These got the opening belt. In New York Stock Exchange, sponsored by amc.
Terrence Bates
The association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can write the course of America. We're getting you ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. You're going to start hearing the applause here in short order and then we'll get you ready for the opening bell which will follow. There you have it. The applause is underway, which means the opening bell is quite literally just a few seconds away. Ek Zo, excuse me, is at the podium this morning. The markets are now officially open. Ladies and gentlemen, you hear the opening bell, which means that there is a rush of activity on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange as those first trades are now in. And look at that. So far, far so good. To start this trade week, the Dow S P5. Excuse me, the Dow S P500 and the NASDAQ are all in the green. The bottom half of our board, however, not looking so good. That's in the red. But for those of you who are trading on the major indices here in the country, hopefully things are starting off on a positive note for you and hopefully they will end on an even more positive note. In the meantime, it is the one time of year that the Birch Gold Group gives away free gold with every qualifying purchase. For Black Friday, when you convert an existing IRA or 401k into a tax sheltered IRA in gold, the Birch Gold Group will send you free gold to your home for every $20,000 that's purchased. Gold started off this year around $2,600 an ounce and by October it was over $4,000 an ounce. Global uncertainty is part of the problem. 2025 has been defined by trade wars and central banks.
David Brody
All right everybody, welcome, welcome back to American center as I'm David Brody. Thanks for joining us this morning. By the way, we invite you to join the conversation on getter rumble YouTube. Knock yourself out. We're in the chat. Recently I had the chance to sit down with commentator and author Scott Jennings. We had a great conversation on a variety of topics. He's got a new book out. It's called A Revolution of Common How Donald Trump Stormed Washington and Fought for Western Civilization that is out now. We talked about a lot, including how history is going to remember President Trump. But first, some comments about the media, specifically sparring every night on CNN with liberal gadflies. Have a look. What I have realized is some of my fellow panelists and people they bring on, I might be the only Republican they know and if not, but for being contractually obligated to do so, they might not know any. And so just creating live contact between the two in America, liberals and conservatives, makes for fascinating television. But my job is to translate from red America how we are absorbing the news, why we see things the way we do. You know, using my political experience and my authentic values to say, well, this is how this decision strikes me. I recognize you all are mad about it, but you know, here's how somebody from Dawson Springs, Kentucky is going to absorb it. And I think for our audience it's, it's a valuable perspective. I think it makes them smarter. And I think ultimately that's what you're shooting for on cable news. Am I making the audience smarter? And I think six people sitting around, you know, just nodding in agreement with each other doesn't really make the audience Smarter, but a test of ideas and where one guy can tell you how half or 80% or sometimes 90% of the country, how they're thinking about something. You'll be smarter by listening to it. And I think that about this book, if you love Trump, you'll be smarter about understanding why he operates the way he does. And if you don't like him, you'll also be smarter for understanding how the opening days of this administration unfolded. And part of the strategy clearly, is a media strategy. He plays the media like a fiddle. Yes, he and I have a chapter in the book about his interactions with the media early on. And I think in the first term, obviously he was going to face a reelection campaign. And, you know, they did what a lot of politicians do. They were sort of calibrating against the media. How is this going to play? He was always tough on the media. This time around, the media landscape is totally different. You have independent media sources, independent journalists, the mainstream media, the corporate media. They're just not as important to him or as influential as they once were. And they know it. And so there's less fear, I think, in how is this going to be portrayed by the media when it comes to their decision making. There's a lot of liberation in that, and there's also a lot of pluck in it. I think his communications team, Steven Chung, the comms director, Caroline Levitt, the press secretary, and the rest of the team, I think they have run circles around the Democratic communicators and the media that they joust with every day. It's one of the reasons, I think, that Trump has been so successful. His comms people get modern communication. They've revolutionized it inside the White House. They've made room for new media outlets in the briefing room. They participate in a lot of non traditional, you know, communications settings. Trump still does his fair share of the old world media, but the way that staff and the way that comm shop is organized, the media and the Democrats have yet to catch up with them. And I'm not sure they ever will. How do you think history is going to see President Trump? I understand there of are a lot, lot of liberal historians out there and they're going to have their take. But what about you? I mean, where is President Trump going to potentially rank kind of at the end of the day? That is a fascinating question. You know, when I pitched him on the book, I said, I think 100 people are going to come along and write books attacking you and saying terrible things about you. But at least one Person who kind of gets, you should be allowed to write a book. And he said, call me next week. But that was a question that was on my mind. How will all this be judged? And it's hard to judge things in the moment. You don't know how things are going to turn out. But I will tell you, I think that what I said to him initially is true. He will be remembered as someone who revolutionized political campaigning. I think he'll be someone who revolutionized governing. And we went from a very passive president who may not have known what was going on in his own White House, probably didn't on some days, to a president who is involved, involved in very granular details of governing. I think he'll be remembered as someone who oversaw the expansion of power inside the executive branch. You know, all presidents get a little more power. That's been the nature of the modern presidency. But this president has done as much as he can to have as much power in the executive branch. He's taken on the courts. I also think he's going to be remembered quite well by history on, I mean, you look already eight peace deals, the hostages coming home from Israel, the brink of peace in the Middle East. He hasn't solved Ukraine, Russia yet. But everything else he's gotten involved in, he's pretty much solved when it comes to foreign affairs, you know, we used to use the phrase war and peace a lot. When I think of President Trump, I think he's peace and war. He thinks of peace before he thinks of war. He's not unwilling to engage of the United States, but he earnestly seeks peace. He does not like war. And I think over time, historians will judge that to have been a good trait for the American president, someone who desires peace but was strong enough to make it happen. What do you want people to ultimately understand about the Trump presidency and maybe about President Trump himself? A couple things. Number one, and I think this happened to President Bush too, when I worked for him. The caricature of the president that you see in the media is not exactly accurate in person. He's funny, he's warm, he listens. I've watched him listen to debates among advisors. He's engaged, he asks questions. So this idea, you know, that he wouldn't be listening or that he just is kind, that's not true. He's very hospitality minded. You know, he gave me the hat off his head one day and signed it for my dad without thinking twice about it. Number three, he's funny. You know, he's sort of like Rodney Dangerfield and Don Rickles and Dave Chappelle had a baby. And here's Donald Trump. I mean, he's, he's a funny guy. Number four, he loves America. And number five, I do believe he understands that on his shoulders rests the fight for the future of Western civilization. So it was eye opening for me, you know, as a, as a political actor, I feel closer to President Trump now you thank than I ever have. Even though there are things about him or decisions he's made that I don't necessarily agree with, but just what he's doing, the way he operates, I feel closer to him today than I ever have. I think that's true for millions of Republicans who may, he may not have been their cup of tea in 2016. Maybe they got queasy after January 6, but today, what he represents in our culture and in our world, they feel quite close to him. And I think you'll feel that after you read the book. Well, that was just part of my conversation with Scott Jennings. Again, his book, new book out this week, A Revolution of Common How Donald Trump Stormed Washington and Fought for Western Civilization. It is out now. So for reaction, let's bring in Dr. G and T and talk about a little bit about the Scott Jennings interview. You know, guys, he said a lot more obviously in that interview. To me, what was interesting, there was this one line that stood out because everybody talks about, you know, how maybe Trump doesn't, you know, doesn't necessarily maybe ticks off people with the way he speaks and the way he does this. And I love this line by Scott Jennings. He said, quote, we didn't hire this man to sing soprano in the choir. We hired him to guard the church door. And by the way, the barbarians are at the gates. And I think that really is pretty much, pretty much sums it up.
Dr. Gina
Dr. G. Well, first of all, David, you are amazing. Again, I just, I hope that this audience realizes what gold, what true veteran gold they have in you as a journalist. But secondly, yes, Mr. Jennings was here this weekend, which I found very interesting. I believe he was in town perhaps for the AFPI events going on. I'm not completely sure about that, but he did. I do have a copy of his book that he gave to me, and I believe he was signing some autographs and things like that. Very interesting, as you said. And obviously his command of the literary English is definitely worth recognizing, Terrence. You know, I mean, obviously he's not, he's not, not, you know, firebrand MAGA or anything like that, but very, very interesting observations from his perspective?
Terrence Bates
No, I thought it was great. And David, as always, I've told you this personally, that I think you're one of the great interviewers. You find a way to kind of pull out unique things from your subjects, which is something that I appreciate. So thank you very much for sharing that with us. And having said that, one of the things that really struck me was kind of the inside, the personalizing President Trump, you know, showing that he is a very pensive person, that he really does listen to people, that he is a kind of giving person. Because I think publicly, particularly for people who've never met the president, that tends to be the perception. And I think we just saw on Friday when President Trump met with Zoran Mandami, we saw, saw that sort of humility, if you will, even with someone who he disagrees with politically, welcoming him into the office and being open to having a conversation, being willing to talk and listen, sometimes conversations, we like to dominate the conversation but forget to listen. And President Trump, it was clear to me actually was listening, which is something that I think is truly presidential. So it was great kind of, of hearing that from another source, even as we observe some of those, some of those attributes.
David Brody
You know, he's really been through it all in terms of being the nexus of all of these different Republican GOP stages. Right. I mean, he worked for George W. Bush, he worked for McConnell, supported Romney. He's now with Trump. And a lot of people say, okay, got it. Haha, right, okay, I see what he's doing here. Actually. He's had a change. He really has had a change. And he understands that Trump is right for this moment. This is the moment to defend Western civilization. And I believe he's authentic on that. There's no doubt about that. I think he's authentic. And he does a great job on CNN every night, really articulating that, most importantly. So there's that. And then also I think what's important here and what I love about Scott the most is that he's from, because he's from Dallas, Dawson Springs, Kentucky. He gets the flyover country, he gets the heartland. His dad was the first one, he tells me in this interview. His dad looked at him back in 2015 and said, Trump's gonna be president. And Scott was like, okay, I don't know about that. We'll see about that. But his dad knew because Dawson Springs, Kentucky is one of those coal mining towns, blue collar town. His dad was a Democrat union member, said, no, no, I'm telling you, Trump's gonna be president. And his dad was right. Interesting. And so that's the perspective that Scott Jennings has. Everybody sees the polished GOP. Oh, he worked for McConnell. He's one of those guys. No, he's a Dawson Springs guy. He's a Dawson Springs, Kentucky guy who raises chickens. About 20 chickens. He's got a great bulldog that he loves and a family, more importantly, that he loves dearly.
Dr. Gina
You know what's interesting, David? One thing that I noticed while I was just, just doing a little bit of searching about him once I saw that he was here this weekend, is that he makes $500,000 a year there. And Kaitlan Collin makes 3.5 million a year.
David Brody
Well, then there's that. And on that note, we'll go to break, shall we?
Dr. Gina
No discrimination there.
David Brody
Right. So to come on American Sunrise, President Trump says he has the fix for Obamacare. It could mean more money for for most Americans. Details when we come back. But first though, I'm sorry, my bad. Let's check out the RAV Ambassador program. Take a look. What if watching real America's voice was just the beginning? Again, that's artillerytco.com premium tea, mission driven and brewed for the brave. Welcome back to American Sunrise. It is time now to spill some tea. And in the cup today is Obamacare. President Trump and Republicans are floating a Big shift away from Obamacare, sending money directly to Americans instead of to insurance companies. Democrats, meanwhile, are pushing to extend pandemic era tax credits that keep premiums down for 22 million Americans. Senate leaders promise to vote soon, but Republicans aren't backing an extension. And House Speaker Mike Johnson is calling the subsidy plan a boondoggle. For more, let's bring In David Brody, Dr. Gina and Terrence Bates. Terrence, boondoggle, is that what this is?
Terrence Bates
I'm not so sure I've ever used the term boondoggle in my life. So I'm not so sure I fully understand it. But I will say this. Kudos to President President Trump and to Republicans for coming up with an alternative. You know, sometimes when you identify a problem, the more challenging part is finding a way to fix that problem. So it looks like work is being done to try to fix the problem or to come up with an alternative. And I'm curious to see how that ultimately plays out because at the end of the day, I think what most Americans want is yes, healthcare, but they also want those premiums and the cost of health care to go down significantly because for many it's just unaffordable right now. It's definitely not the Affordable Care act, it's the unaffordable Care act for many people. Dr. Jean and David, yeah, it needs.
Dr. Gina
To be gone and I would love to see a full on repeal and replacement. I understand that's not happening. So my hope would be, look, number one, transparency. I am so tired of the lies. I am so put off by the misinformation that is out there in our medical system. And I'm just going to throw in there, even though it has nothing to do with this, our veterinary system as corporatized and is just as corrupt. And that's upsetting to me. I would really like all of this fixed under Donald Trump. I think it's now or never. David, I don't know, what are your thoughts?
David Brody
Well, my thoughts start with this hold onto your MAGA cap because what the White House is thinking of doing here and it's pretty good, we'll call it speculation. For now, nothing on paper but it looks like this is the way they're going. I mean probably going to be announced this week is they're going to extend those Obamacare subsidies. The boondoggle that Mike Johnson talks about, they're going to extend them for two years. They are going to though they are going to have some sort of income cap which Democrats don't want. But Republicans obviously the Trump administration does want. So that will be the key. I like, up to 700% of the federal poverty line is what they're talking about. And then there are a few other things in there that will make conservatives, quote, happy. But no one's going to be happy in Magellan with a two year extension of the Obamacare subsidies. That's what the White House is considering right now. And I'm lightly saying considering it's really more than that. I think that's exactly what the plan is going to be. But I'm going to not officially say anything because they haven't officially said anything. But I'm telling you, I think it's going to be a two year.
Dr. Gina
What happens then, David? How's MAGA going to react to that?
David Brody
Well, add it to the list. I don't know. I mean, just add it to the list of things that they're going to be frustrated at. But, you know, this is what, you know, Trump is all about doing deals and he knows that he's got to make sure, I think the way the White House will see this is he's got to make sure that he doesn't lose folks as the midterms approach. And there's polling that indicates that there's some concern. So if people are going to then lose their own subsidy, that's going to put him in probably more peril politically. I'm just saying, I'm just giving to y' all straight.
Dr. Gina
Sounds like it may be a sticky situation. I gotta Google that. Or maybe urban Dictionary it. I'm not really sure.
David Brody
Boondoggle is a project that just, it costs a lot of money and it's with overruns and it's just, it's ridiculous.
Dr. Gina
You know, it's just everything MAGA doesn't stand for.
David Brody
Exactly.
Terrence Bates
It's not part of my vernacular. Boondoggle wasn't part of my daily vernacular. So I now have a new word to add to it. Thank you, David.
Dr. Gina
Terrence, you and I both learned something new this morning. All right. Still to come on American Sunrise, a final story of love, loss and daffodils that keep a husband's memory blooming. Stay with us. This is a beautiful one.
David Brody
All right.
Dr. Gina
Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. It is time for our sunny side up. And today, a love story still blooming in British Columbia. Marilyn Cudmore got a bouquet from her husband six months after he passed. Stephen had set up daffodils for her next birthday, knowing he wouldn't be there. That last gift really moved her she started planting daffodils up and down her street, and friends joined in. They call themselves the Spade Maids. The spade like the little shovels. I love this story of a tree for Peter that has a spade in it. If you don't know what that is, it's a simple gift that turned into a beautiful memorial. You know, that is really beautiful. But I don't know, David. I think I would be sadder getting the daffodils. I mean, I don't know, maybe you can't be sadder. But, like, I don't know, I thought about this a lot of times. Like, people that leave letters and things like that for after or videos or all of that. And I don't think I would want any of that. I don't know how you guys feel about that. I just don't think that that's something I would want. David.
David Brody
Terrence, I'm not sure I haven't contemplated it. I mean, I'm contemplating it now. I think I'd have mixed emotions. I mean, you know, you're moving on, but then it's a warm spot. But then it brings back a lot of memories and tears. I don't know. I mean, my goodness, I'm going to have to think about that. T base. What do you think?
Terrence Bates
Yeah, I got nothing, really. Like, it's not something I'd ever really contemplated. For me, again, it comes back to bills. Take a bill. If you want to leave me something behind, pick a bill and pay that.
David Brody
Oh, my gosh.
Dr. Gina
T race.
David Brody
Well so much on the sunny side.
Terrence Bates
Of if you could leave something behind, do that. Okay. That's why I'll put myself back in for the rest of the week.
David Brody
Pay a bill.
Dr. Gina
Practical answer coming from Taren space. Not exactly this side of romance, but it's authentic.
David Brody
It's authentic to me. You.
Terrence Bates
You want to. You want to get to my heart? Pay a bill, Help a brother out. Pay a bill. You want to get closer to my heart for feed me and pay a bill.
Dr. Gina
Tish, what's your wife getting for Christmas this year?
David Brody
Gina.
Terrence Bates
So her birthday is right before Christmas, so she'll get a nice birthday present and then we'll throttle it back a little bit for Christmas. That's my throttle it back.
David Brody
Throttle it back.
Dr. Gina
Just tell me it's not a gift certificate for, like, her, like, paying for her gas at the gas station or something like that. Terrance, just tell me it's not.
Terrence Bates
You know what? That's practical. You gotta get to work. You gotta drive to work, cost gas. That's a practical gift. That's not a bad idea. Okay.
Dr. Gina
I'm just saying I'd like you to send me some gift ideas for your beautiful wife. I want to help you this year. I think maybe you need a little counseling on this. And, hey, I'm up for the job.
David Brody
This all feels like a big old boondoggle.
Dr. Gina
A boondoggle. Definitely our word of the day.
Terrence Bates
Nicely played, David.
Dr. Gina
Yes. Yes. All right, you guys. Well, war room is up next. It is not a boondoggle. Hug your children. Love God. Go boldly now. Live the truth. We'll see you tomorrow, guys.
Terrence Bates
Take care.
David Brody
We love you, Tea. We still love you, Tea.
Dr. Gina
This is an I heart podcast.
David Brody
Guaranteed human.
This episode of American Sunrise (Real America’s Voice, iHeartPodcasts) focuses on breaking political developments, especially Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (MTG) decision to leave Congress following a public feud with President Trump. The show also covers Trump’s plan to designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, updates on the Russia-Ukraine peace plan, and broader discussions about affordability, government accountability, and political culture through the lens of “America First” values.
Opening Story: Greene announced she’s leaving Congress in January, citing public and personal reasons following a falling out with former President Trump, who withdrew his endorsement and called her a “lunatic.”
Her Statement (04:50):

Panel Reaction (05:43–08:01):
"She wants to be more effective from the outside pushing what she calls America First—some will say America Only." – David Brody (06:23)
Inside Scoop with John Solomon (Editor, Just the News) (10:42–12:10):
"Politics is rough and tumble, and if you're not ready to be rough and tumble, then go do something else. That's what she's done." – John Solomon (10:42)
Later Takes (21:19+):
"Calling the Muslim Brotherhood a foreign terrorist organization is kind of like calling a spade a spade...you can bring things like military force alongside to eliminate them if necessary..." – Lt. Col. Gobb (27:53)
“To my knowledge, I am not aware of things that are illegal...” – Lee Slotkin (15:00)
Small Business & Tariffs (39:03+):
