Great weekend, yes. Halloween, best holiday of the year. You know, I'm very rock and roll and so I love a little bit of horror on a weekend.

I did. I was up very late last night. Don't feel sorry for me. Argentina, I mean, it was, I think I got to bed at 1 in the morning. I'm a little punchy this morning, so I want to apologize. I went to the Commander's game last night with my daughter. Little father daughter date night. They got trash. And Jaden Daniels, their starting quarterback, is basically out with a dislocated elbow. He bent his elbow back. Oh, it was disgusting. Ouch. Anyhow, yeah, we were 13 rows from it. So there was that night a fun little father daughter night where we saw dislocated elbow. Back to you. That's awesome.

I must say, David, I love that I'm missing my dad like crazy. He's up in Michigan. I think I'm gonna go home and see him this weekend. So I may have a father daughter date in my future as well.

We had President Trump was here, of course, for Halloween. And then my family decides to host the after party without really asking my permission at my house. And so that was a 5, 4:30am ordeal. And then I had to go to South Florida to do a speech for the Reagan dinner. And the no Kings folks showed up looking like Halloween was continuing. Right. To protest my speech. And so that was my weekend. I'm ready to come back to work. All right. A lot happening. Among other things, Trump said over the weekend, Maduro has treated the US very badly. He said on 60 Minutes he does not see war.
David Brody
Listen, are we going to war against Venezuela? I doubt it. I don't think so. But they've been treating us very badly. Not only on drugs. They've dumped hundreds of thousands of people into our country that we didn't want. People from prisons. They emptied their prisons into our company country. They also, if you take a look, they emptied their mental institutions and their insane asylum into the United States of America because Joe Biden was the worst president in the history of our country.
Dr. Gina
And I mean, Emily, something has to be done about this because if something isn't done about this, this is what they'll do the next time they have the opportunity. Not just Venezuela, but other countries as well. They think this is cute to dump their worst of the worst into our country.

And it's not cute at all, Gina. And thank God President Trump is taking this seriously, as he has been the entire time as he was campaigning on. These are promises made, promises kept. He is going to keep the American people safe, David.

You know, it's interesting, Trump, it's so, so President Trump, right. Are we going to war with Venezuela? I doub. But you never know. I'll get back to you. You know, I mean, you know, it was like kind of a casual, casual Friday, if you will, but that's the Magic of Trump, right? Keep him guessing. And that is the art of the deal.

Yeah, Dr. G. I'll tell you guys, he looked great. He looked great on Friday night. He was having a great time. He was right in his element. He looked tan. He looked like he's been playing a little golf. I don't know when, but I think he has. And it was, it was just good to see him back, back at home here in Florida. Let's check out today's Bible verse. Goes a little something like this. Philippians, chapter three verses. Why can I never do this? Verses seven and eight. I confuse verses and chapters. Okay, you guys, because when you're reading it yourself, you're not thinking of those things. You're just like 3, 7 and 8. But what things were gained to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed, I also count all the things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things. Count them as rubbish that I may gain Christ. Yes, what a great way. What a great way to begin our week. To realize that our gain is losses in him and our losses, our gains in him are not. Is. All right, we're going to get there. It's Monday. Can you tell? The government shutdown continues. People want their first weekend. People actually went there first weekend. Can't read, can't talk without SNAP benefits. Funding for SNAP benefits ran out over the weekend and even some new restrictions were going to take effect. New work requirements were coming in for able bodied adults, among others. President Trump spoke on the snap benefits issue on 60 Minutes. Here's what he had to say.

Federal workers who are not getting a paycheck, including our air traffic controllers.

You see there's traffic snarls out at the airports now.

This weekend, food aid for more than 42 million Americans is set to expire. What are you doing as president to end the shutdown? All we're doing is we keep voting. I mean, the Republicans are voting almost unanimously to end it and the Democrats keep voting against ending it. You know, they've never had this. This has happened like 18 times before. The Democrats always voted for an extension. Always saying, give us an extension, we'll work it out. They've lost their way. They become crazed lunatics. And all they have to do, Nora, is say, let's vote.

For more. Let's bring in former White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley. Hogan, what in the heck are we doing with 42 million Americans on food assistance?

I mean, that's the real question.
David Brody
It's a lot of problems, not just with locales kind of deferring to the federal government, but church is not pulling their weight, synagogues not pulling their weight as well. A lot of issues there. And as you know, these things ballooned kind of in the 60s and the 70s where the more people you could get on government assistance, Democrats, fdr, of course thought the more we can kind of get our hooks into them and control them as political pawns. So it's really disgusting the way this has happened. But a lot of people depend on this program and we're here now and it should be supplemental. It's in the name, not primary, but it has become primary for so many lots of loopholes where we're funding the food for illegal aliens, not American citizens. Also a problem, a lot of fraud, waste and abuse in the program. However, it has been funded in full by the Republicans in the House who voted for the continuing resolution funding bill. The Senate Republicans voted for it there too. It's Democrats that continue to vote against it. So the real question is why are they voting against a program they have championing, championed and loved for so long? Yeah, great point. Hey, Hogan, I want to move to the off year elections, obviously. That's all tomorrow. I'm curious what you're watching. We got the governor's races in Virginia and New Jersey. Then of course in New York City. Mamdani, what do you call them? Gina Kami Mamdani. Is that what you call him on Donnie? Yeah, come him on Donnie. That's really good. You should go to the trademark trademark office with that, by the way. Just a little. Just a little business tip. And then of course out in California, looks like they're going to redistrict with Prop 50 anyhow. What are you watching exactly? And what is this whole thing about reading the tea leaves? Everybody wants to read the tea leaves. I mean, my goodness, you know, this is a referendum on Trump. Oh my gosh, stop with all of this, like anyhow, please, Hogan. I'll stop you speak. They can't help but make anything and everything about Trump, even when they have a socialist, Marxist, communist running in New York, a Democrat controlled city long held in the arms of a Democrat party and failing from top to bottom for a long time. But somehow this is a referendum on Trump. It makes no sense. Mamdani is something I'm looking at not because I think he's going to lose. He's going to win by every measurable poll. At this point in time, I'm looking for a couple things. One is fool's gold we always talk about in election years, especially in presidentials. Minnesota, we're so close to Minnesota and we always end up losing it. Same thing applies to like Virginia. We're so close here we have a chance. We just had Youngkin. We had a Republican governor. We're going to get another one. I don't know if that's the case. It tends to tend trend rather purple or blue because there's so many federal workers that live there and they're largely Democratic. What I'm really looking for is not necessarily tomorrow night, but down the road. Mamdani is someone who wants to come in and fundamentally change New York. He hates America. It's obvious he wants. Wants to change everything about her. We are, of course, the beacon of evil and the cause of the world's problems all over the place. And he's gonna be the one to fix it. Of course that's a lie. We're the beacon of strength and hope and love and democracy and goodness all over the world. But I digress. I'm interested in that old H.L. mencken quote that says the commoners. Democracy is the belief that commoners know what they want and they deserve to get it good and hard. If New York elects Mamdani, they deserve what they get, good and hard. And I hope he enacts everything he wants to enact. And I hate to say that as a conservative, because I don't want New York to fail. It's a gateway to so many, so much of what we have here in this country, like Washington D.C. but I'm telling you, if he gets in there and they run everything he wants to run, and they do the things he wants to do and the city collapses, then we're going to be decades before we have another socialist, Marxist, communist candidate that even comes close to holding elected office. I want to see it fail so that the electorate goes, okay, wait a minute. We were kind of duped here. We were given some, some, some, you know, shiny objects that didn't really pan out to make our lives better. In fact, they made it a whole lot worse. And then we're gonna move on from this failed, ridiculous experiment.

It certainly sounds like there's gonna be some tough times ahead for New York City. But sometimes you just have to learn your lesson. Hogan, we do want to get your reaction to this Breitbart headline as well. Illinois passes Law preventing ICE arrests in courthouse. I mean, this is just insane. Brandon Johnson has been insane. JB Pritzker has been insane. When is Illinois going to wake up and vote these awful leaders out?
David Brody
Also, arrests in courthouses, if I'm not mistaken, courthouses are places where the law is administered to people who have broken the law. In the courthouse, that's where you go. And now you're telling me you can't arrest people who violated the law and in the very place that's supposed to be the beacon of upstanding law in the country and in this state. It's absolutely insane. The attacks on ICE and the attacks on law enforcement have gone up exponentially since they've begun actually enforcing the laws that are on the books. Congress laments this. Many on the left, the Democrats are so furious about it. Well, you can change the law, they just won't do it because they know it's politically unpopular. Instead, they'd rather lob insults and gloss over and protect those who attack cops and law enforcement and ICE as opposed to protecting American citizens. This whole thing is egregious. And last night, the question that Norah o' Donnell posed to President Trump shows the bias. I like Nora, but the fact is, when you ask the president of the United States, haven't these raids gone too far? The real question should be, if in fact there have been an instance or two, you guys have cleaned up the streets, this country's a whole lot safer, what do you do to protect, to make sure there aren't any mistakes made? You could ask that question that way. Instead, she tried to make it sound as though all of these things that are happening are just rounding up American citizens and moms and children. And that is absolutely not true. These are killers. They are hiding out amongst those who are also here illegally. And if you're not going to cooperate with ICE and when the ICE comes into these places, then you're going to have a concentration of folks who aren't just violent, but are also those who have broken the law in other ways. And they're going to get caught up in the wash as well. Yeah, don't hang around with killers. Yeah, exactly. Illegal immigrant killers. Exactly.

And they never want, and they never. The media never wants to talk about the dead children, the hundreds of thousands of missing children of the illegals. And they never want to talk about all the dead children of Americans or you never see them interview our angel parents either. Hogan Gidley, thanks for pointing to all of that. Some top headlines that we're following today. After initially considering the idea President Trump says he will not attend the Supreme Court oral arguments on the the case regarding his use of tariffs. Trump posted on Truth Social I will not be going to the court on Wednesday in that I do not want to distract from the importance of this decision. It will be, in my opinion, one of the most important and consequential decisions ever made by the United States Supreme Court. If we win, we will be the richest, most secure country anywhere in the world by far. If we lose, our country could be reduced to almost third world status. President Trump also doubled down on how important tariffs are to his plan. Take a look at this what happens.
David Brody
To your economic plan if the Supreme Court invalidates your tariffs? I think our country will be immeasurably hurt. I think our economy will go to hell. Look, because of tariffs, we have the highest stock market we've ever had because of tariffs. For one case at the highest level, that and this is millions and millions of people that we've ever had, 401ks. I think it's the most important subject discussed by the Supreme Court in 100 years.

Also breaking overnight, a Mexican mayor who was outspoken against the drug cartels has been killed. Mayor Carlos Manzo was shot during a Day of the Dead celebration in his hometown. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said this was a vile act. Manzo called for brute force against the cartels and said before he was assassinated he didn't want to to be a mayor killed, but action was needed against the cartels. President Trump also defended the crime crackdown across the country and elaborated on recent comments he made saying that he could send more than the National Guard into cities. Watch.

Well, if you had to send in the army or if you had to send in the Marines, I'd do that in a heartbeat. You know, you have a thing called the Insurrection Act. You know that, right? Do you know that I could use that immediately and no judge can even challenge you on that. But I haven't chosen to do it because I haven't felt we need it. So you're going to send the military into American cities? Well, if I wanted to, I could. If I wanted to use the Insurrection Act. The Insurrection act has been used routinely by presidents. And if I needed it, that would mean I could bring in the army, the Marines, I could bring in whoever I want, but I haven't chosen to use it. I hope you give me credit for that.

President Trump urged the leaders of Nigeria to stop the genocide of Christians or military force could be coming. So this is what Donald Trump posted on Truth Social. The president said this if the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians. The USA will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria and may very well go into that now disgraced country guns a blazing, to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities. I am hereby instructing our department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious and sweet. Just like the terrorist thugs attacked our cherished Christians. Warning the Nigerian government better move fast. I must tell you, I'm surprised he didn't say thank you for your attention to this matter at the end. I was a little disappointed at that after he posted that. By the way, the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth replied on social media, yes, sir. For more, let's bring in the director of Jihad Watch. That would be. And also, by the way, the author of Intifada on the Hudson, the selling of Zoran Mamdani. That would be Robert Spencer. Robert, good to see you, sir. So what do you think? I mean, you think we're going to go to a war in Nigeria over this? And should we? Good morning to you. Well, David, I very seriously doubt it because I expect that the Nigerian government will act at least to give the appearance of doing something to stop the mass killing of Christians there. The big problem here though, is that the Nigerian government for years, and I've been documenting this on a day, day by day basis that Jihad Watch has been complicit in this killing. They want the Christians to be killed in Nigeria. The Nigerian government is made up of Fulani Muslims and they are one of the major groups waging the jihad. Now, should we. That is another thing that's problematic because when you're coming to jihad, it's a war that never ends. As we are seeing in Gaza. You can't sign a deal and think it's all going to go away. It's just going to keep going. And we saw that didn't work out so well for the US In Afghanistan or Iraq. Maybe it would be better this time to pursue other means such as cutting off or finding in the first place and cutting off the people who are funding and equipping the jihadis in Nigeria and bringing helping the Nigerian opposition and so on. You know, Robert, these liberal media outlets, unbelievable. I was reading something, it was the BBC, there were some others saying that President Trump has provided no proof of a genocide and saying that Muslims and Christians both are getting killed over there. Like they're totally doing not only the moral equivalency part of it, but they're just literally denying that there's even a genocide. To begin with. Well, you know, that makes me think that there must be some very strong leftist forces behind it, because otherwise, why would the BBC and the rest of the leftist propaganda establishment be running interference for these people? But that is speculation. The fact is that the genocide is abundantly documented. It has been for years. It's been going on with the world completely ignoring it. I have the documentation, years of documentation@jihadwatch.org yeah, good. Everybody should go there. Jihadwatch.org for sure. And yeah, you say years. I mean, talk about decades. You've been doing this type of stuff, not just obviously with Nigeria, but in other places, too. CBS News with this headline, Obama and Mamdani Talk as Election Day approaches in New York City, of course, that election tomorrow. My goodness, these New Yorkers, what are they thinking? But they're going to do this, it looks like, Robert, they're going to elect Mamdani. Trump, by the way, Slam Mamdani on 60 Minutes. Take a look at this. Get your reaction on the other side. If Mondame becomes mayor, it's going to be hard for me as the president to give a lot of money to New York because if you have a communist running New York, all you're doing is wasting the money you're sending there. So I don't know that he's one, and I'm not a fan of Cuomo one way or the other, but if it's going to be between a bad Democrat and a Communist, I'm going to pick the bad Democrat all the time. To be honest with you, Robert, you wrote a book about this. What he believes, Mamdani and why he's so dangerous. Take it from there, sir. Well, tell you, David, there's no doubt in the first place that the man is a Communist. There's been some controversy about that, and people are saying, oh, Trump's exaggerating, but I've got the receipts in the book. Mamdani is actually a communist. Now, of course, he'll be constrained in various ways. He's not a head of state as mayor of New York, so he can't do everything that communists ordinarily do when they take power. But what he is likely to be able to do will almost certainly bankrupt the city, and that will have negative repercussions for the rest of the country and not just for the people who live there. So the people who are saying, oh, this doesn't matter to me. I never go to New York. I don't even like New York or whatever, they've got to realize electing this man is going to be a deep, a very, very negative thing for the whole country at large. Robert, we've got about 45 seconds. You said bankrupt the country. Can you give us an example or two as to what you think Mamdani will do specifically? I know what he says he's going to do. What do you think he will do and what, and what that will mean for New York and the country writ large. Yeah, bankrupt the city is what he'll do. And that is by means of the free buses, the low cost grocery stores, all the free goods that he's promising now that are going to get him elected. He's not telling, you know. Well, you're going to have to pay for this in prohibitively higher taxes. People will flee the city, the tax base will be destroyed, and then the city will go bankrupt. Yeah. And under the microscope today, millions of people may have hidden genetic indicators that could raise their risk for cancer. According to a new report from the Journal of American Medical association, roughly 5% of Americans have genetic variants linked to cancer. This means genetic mutations could be more common than previously thought. This finding is leading to more calls for genetic testing. The study focused on 70 common cancer related genes and found that more than 3400 are mutations. Commonly, genetic testing is only done for those with a known family history of the disease. But you know, since this article, number one, came from the AMA and number two is, well, came from the ama, my guess is that they're going to think of lots of reasons why you need to not try natural and holistic approaches to cancer. All right, Dr. Gina, we do want to turn our attention now to New York City where election day is tomorrow. They're going to decide who's going to be the Big Apple's next mayor. According to polls, Zo Run Mom Dummies lead appears to be narrowing. The poll from Atlas shows Mom dharmi leading by six points, 4% to 34 over from Governor Andrew Cuomo. GOP candidate Curtis Sliwa has 24% in this poll. For more, let's bring in the head pollster for Rasmussen Reports, Mark Mitchell. Mark, is there any way that mom dummy loses this race? I mean, we were talking about this earlier in the show. This is, this is going to be really tough for New York.
David Brody
No, I haven't seen a single poll that had Cuomo up. And quite honestly, I think it's disgusting the way in which a lot of people on the right are begging folks to not vote for Curtis Lewa, to vote for Cuomo, who has a lot of problems. He's basically a leftist also in order to bail out New York City. This is what New York City wants. I think that that's basically the story here. And unfortunately, I think it's a wake up call for the Republican Party as well, because you can see right now we're having a big old fight about neoconservatism, about whether the American first part of the wing is going to take over or whether the establishment Republicans are going to rear their ugly heads again. Meanwhile, I think Generation Z is looking at the economy saying it's all coming crashing down. Pricing of houses is a crisis level. There's been wage stagnation for 20 years. The whole dating scene is completely broken. These people are on psychotropic medication. Like, this is not a well generation and they are not conservative. They voted for Trump essentially because they want to burn the system down. And if the Republican Party can't give them that, they're going to vote for people like Zoram. Donny, this is the future of the Democrat Party and it's all going to be about economic populism. That's the future of our politics.

David Brody
All right.

Also, Mark, another close race we are keeping our eye on is the gubernatorial race in Jersey. GOP candidate Jack Chiarelli and Democrat Mickey Sherrill are in a dead heat according to a recent Atlas poll. A recent Emerson poll also had Sheryl clinging to a two point lead. What does your polling tell you?
David Brody
I did this race about three or four weeks ago and I had Jack Ciarelli down six points. I know people don't want to really hear that, but that's actually doing better than Trump did in 2024. Now, obviously this is a mid term turnout. It's going to be a little bit different than a presidential turnout. A lot, a lot fewer that benefits The Republicans. The weird thing in this race, though, is that if you look at the cross tabs, people who have a very strict voter screen, like, they only are publishing very likely voter results, those are the ones that have Jack Ciattarelli within a point or two. And so if there's a low turnout and people who are very motivated come to the polls, then that's going to be potentially a Jack win. But if the polls are flooded by everybody, Mikey Sheryl is going to win. And that's the inescapable fact. Again, just like New York, New Jersey is a blue state. And yes, Trump did outperform there, but it's not because all of a sudden people think that the Republican Party has an answer for the problems. And in New Jersey, the problems are basically affordability and prices. And there's only so much that a Republican politician can do there, especially when the state is full on, like, long, you know, affluent, suburban, white Democrats. Like, that's what the state is. And Jack Chiarelli, I think, is running a good campaign. I think Mikey Sherrill is not a very good candidate. I'm appalled by her Naval Academy stuff. That's my alma mater. But again, like, I think people are looking around nationally at the Republican Party and expecting more, and it's going to have an effect on these races.
Emily Finn
Mark, are there any other races that you're keeping a close eye on, the polling data for? Any wild cards, any potential upsets that we should be looking out for?
David Brody
No, I really don't think so. And especially Virginia, I don't think that's going to be an upset either. I think Jay Jones even is kind of coming back. What I'm going to look at next Tuesday is literally just, can Republicans turn out when Donald Trump is not on the ticket? Because Donald Trump didn't even come and campaign for Jack Cittarelli, and he's, you know, we're in the middle of a government shutdown. People are screaming for him to get focused on the domestic policy agenda. And we're a little bit too involved in overseas stuff. I'm sorry. And I know that a lot of that is the trade deals, but again, the optics are not very good for the American people. Donald Trump's approval rating is the lowest it's been of his term right now. It's not horrible. It's negative 8 net approval. But still, that's not the headline you want to hear. It could be worse. They could be punishing him a lot more about the shutdown. But I think people also want to see something Congress is getting horrible rates now. It's got a 58% poor rating for the job it's doing right now. And even Republicans are rating Congress really, really bad. It's their Congress. So again, what is being done in order to, I mean, we all thought November 2024 was an existential election. And I just look at the Republican Party and right now they don't really seem like they're involved with existential stuff. They just don't.
Dr. Gina
So what does that mean in terms of your predictions, actually, not just for the midterms, but going into 2028 as we look at that presidential race?
David Brody
Well, what I've been calling for Republicans to do is break a sweat, break some rules, do something, use the nuclear option. Trump's calling for that now, but I've been calling for that for over a year. Pass good legislation, just give America good one page laws. They want something to change in D.C. and so just relying on the reconciliation option in order to paint a thin Trump executive order veneer on the back of what is essentially just a big Washington D.C. spending abortion. That's what these things are. They have to change the script. And so 2026, you look at 26, the history tells us the Democrats are going to take the midterms and the polling has Democrats up, not that much. It could be worse. And what are we all talking about in regards to the midterms? It's all of this electioneering and gerrymandering and it just reeks because gerrymandering is not Democratic. That's like legislators picking their voters and not voters picking the legislators. And people are saying, oh, it's great. Republicans are finally playing hardball. And it's like, okay, yeah, I guess that's a good plan B. But plan A is you have Congress and the Senate. And I get that there's rules, I get that it's hard. But people don't think that our system of capitalism works anymore. And they're going to hold you accountable for it because you run the government now. And there's absolutely no sensitivity to that. Now. As far as 2028, I think JD Vance is far and away the favorite. And obviously these things could change. But he's leading now in Republican primary polling more than Donald Trump was in the spring of 2022. He's up like five times higher than the next highest person, which are DeSantis and Rubio. So I think he's the heir apparent. And I think, you know, just last week he came out in a very bold way and gave us a peek at what his America first platform might look like if he runs. But like, let's also acknowledge that Washington, D.C. is packed full of really entrenched special interests of all types that have no interest in ceding the party to economic populists or non neoconservatives or literally just anybody that says America First. And they're making that very clear right now.
Dr. Gina
Wow, that's you. That's a lot of information you gave us there, Mark. My brain is swirling a little bit. Thank you so much for all that you do and for keeping us up to date on the polling. At least we know how people feel right now. But as I tell people all the time, especially for 2028, this is the equivalent of 2013, right in 2016 to the 2016 election. So there's a long time before we get to 2028, but it's still fascinating to think about. Thank you so much.

The elite media who cheer on these shifts are actually helping. These same politicians hid their past while pushing more radical agenda items. The next major test will be in 2028, when voters decide whether in blue or purple states, if they trust these center conversations or demand honesty and consistent values. Take a look at what Fetterman had to say.

Everyone. Everyone's going to go into. Into the middle, but. But people forget that the Internet exists and all the clips and all the outlandish things that they've said or they've done, that's going to have about 20 or 30 million dollars. That depends you for those things. So it's like for all of the things that you say right now or the things now you want to pander or monetize faux outrage, now you're going to pay when you actually have to run in an election, that you're accountable when you actually have Republicans and Democrat and you have a purple situation where you have to find a way forward. And that's exactly what I've been trying to do here during my time here in the Senate.
Emily Finn
Let's bring in Dr. Gina for a quick discussion here. You know, Gina, I remember before this guy got elected, he was on the debate stage, had a stroke, was literally saying sentences backwards. Now, I agree with him. I agree with the way that he's calling out Gavin Newsom.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, he for me, is a lot like term limits. Emily. I worked really hard for term limits and then saw how they worked and thought it was the worst thing I ever did. Same thing with him. I thought he was done. I made fun of the Democrats for continuing to stand by him, and I was absolutely wrong about that. Fetterman has proven to be a thinking Democrat, which is more than we can say for most of them. And I love his fierce independence, and I keep wondering when he's going to come over to the right side. But, you know, honestly, all Democrats should be like this and not just at election time. By the way, the point he makes about Gavin Newsom is really important that, that he's going to try to moderate to be elected and then he'll go right back to his commie fascist ways. But, you know, Fetterman has demonstrated that you can be an effective Democrat who sometimes votes very Democrat and really ticks off the right, but sometimes does what he thinks is right. That isn't necessarily party line. And I think a lot of us are really keeping an eye on him. Gavin Newsom and a lot of the Democrats could afford to take a page out of his book, Emily, don't you think?
Emily Finn
Absolutely. The Fetterman playbook definitely needs to be on Gavin Newsom. You know, Gina, I know both of us lived in California for a little while and actually being a resident there, you can see the hypocrisy on display. You feel it when you actually live in California. But the rest of the country is just going to be seeing what Fetterman pointed out, just these clips of Newsom. And so I really hope that the Americans do their research before they nominate who they want for the Democrat Party.
Dr. Gina
I think Americans are more and more, Emily, and I think we'll see it not just with the Democrats. I think more and more President Trump, whether Democrats love him or hate him, he has illustrated what authenticity means. He said what he was going to do and he has done it. And I think Democrats are going to be expecting that more than they ever have before. And I think Republicans are, too. I don't think we are an easily bought constituency like we used to be. I don't think someone like a Romney or a McCain would ever even have a chance in the Republican Party anymore.

Amen to that, Gina. I don't think Trump knows how to be not authentic. Love him or hate him for it, he's authentic.

Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. Jean. It is time now for our moment of faith brought to us this morning by Lee Greenwood and the great people at God Bless the usa. Bible in focus today, keeping the faith after the storm, Hurricane Melissa claimed over 50 lives with Jamaica and Haiti hardest in Black River, Jamaica, nearly every building was damaged. Roofs were completely ripped off. Power was gone. But even in the destruction, hope is rising. Food is being airlifted in, churches are mobilizing and one leader said it best. You are not forgotten in disaster Faith holds fast. Joining us now to reflect on faith history and where we can turn in times of crisis. To Dr. Jerry Newcombe, executive director of the Providence Forum. Dr. Newcomb, how can faith communities help in these times? I mean, we hear all the time that a lot of times FEMA and government agencies and others don't even show up. And a lot of times it's the churches and the neighborhoods and the families that really bear the brunt of this.
David Brody
For the average citizen, that is exactly right. And you look at the Christian based charities, they get involved and they're right, right there, right away. It's amazing. Food for the Poor, which by the way, it's based in South Florida. It's one of the largest charities, if not the largest charity in the United States of America. And it started right here in South Florida, 1982. And they work a lot in the Caribbean Basin. And then of course there's the Salvation army and all sorts of different groups that get involved. And you know, there's an interesting quote from about 20 years ago after one of the hurricanes, in fact, it was Katrina that hit. And there was a man from the UK Guardian in England, and he wrote this, he was a skeptic himself and he said notable by their absence are teams from rationalist societies, free thinkers clubs and atheist associations, the sort of people who normally scoff at religion's intellectual absurdity, but also regard it as a positive force for evil. Faith comes with a packet of moral imperatives that while they do not condition the attitude of all believers, influence enough of them to make them morally superior to atheists like me. So here was an atheist saying, hey, I can't believe that all these Christian groups get involved, you know, when these hurricanes happen and it happens over and over. And I think that's a beautiful witness to Jesus Christ. And he's the one who said, when you treat the poor, it's as if you're treating me. You're giving me food, you're giving me clothes, you're giving me shelter.
Dr. Gina
Yes, absolutely. What do people not know about these particular situations? I remember I was on the ground when the huge tornadoes hit Alabama and we lost a couple of hundred people in that tornado. And I was brand new at radio station, didn't know what I was doing, ended up going to cover it. I was blown away. I just could not believe the level of debris that was above my head for just as far as the eyes could see. You can't see that from the aerial shots. So tell us what we don't know about Being on the ground in tragic situations like these.
David Brody
Well, in a very real sense, Dr. Gina, the best thing is to prepare when things are normal. Memorize scripture. I'm serious. That may sound almost trite, but you remember things that come to mind or even Christian songs. I saw this song. Though the mountains may fall and the hills turn to dust, yet the love of the Lord will stand. And those kinds of reminders that through it all, our God is a mighty fortress and his will will not be thwarted. And in the meantime, Christians get involved. We roll up our sleeves and we go on the ground and get the relief that these people may need. So I would just say be prepared spiritually in advance through scripture memory, memorizing songs, and then plug into networks that can help, especially when the time of crises come.
Dr. Gina
What a great answer. And that's really for anything, right? That's not just for natural disasters. That's for life. Disasters that we all will endure in our lifetimes if we're living. And such an important thing. It's why I love hymns in church, because I think the hymns have so much. I love when those just cycle through my mind for a whole day. And I find such a calm in that. That's great advice. That's great advice. I really love it. How can Christians get involved and help in this particular tragedy?
David Brody
Well, I would say choose the charity of your choice. I mean, you've got a lot to choose from. You know, whether you were talking about the, the Salvation Army. I know some parts of it went, woke and that's terrible. But not all of it by any means. And then there's other charities, even, even individual denominations have their charity.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, I was going to say maybe.
David Brody
Is one I happen to know about because it is based in South Florida, but it's one of the largest charities and they really do focus on the Caribbean and they have those very good, those connections and inroads and so forth. I've even gone on some media trips with food for the poor to Jamaica, of all places. All right, we are.

I mean, we got SNAP benefits running out. We've got Obamacare signups going on. So we're going to hear stories about premiums going up from the liberal media. And then, of course, WIC funding is planning to run out as well for women and infants and children, that type of thing. So you put it all together. Plus, we have the off year elections tomorrow. I just feel like there's something that's going to give this week. We'll see. I don't know.

Well, in case anybody missed it, in our first hour, we had former press secretary, former assistant press secretary Hogan Kidley on and he said, you know, these are their programs that they say are so important to them to fund. So where are the Democrats getting the job done? The answer is they're not. And they're trying to put it back on Republicans. But nobody's going to, nobody's being fooled here, Emily, that these are Republican programs not being funded. I mean, it's ridiculous.

Gina, I was talking about this with Jake Novak in the Early Edition hour this morning. The Senate Democrats have voted 13 times to not reopen the government. I think, you know, at the end of the day, we know who the problem is here. It's really disappointing that this has been going on. I'm not sure if there's an end in sight. But we will be checking in with Brian Glenn about that in just a little bit. Time now for the weather, though. We're going to check out our forecast for today. All right. Appreciate that. President Trump has ordered the Department of War to prepare for possible operations in Nigeria, citing the mass killing of Christians in the country. In a truth social post over the weekend, the president said the following. If the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the USA will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria and may very well go into that now disgraced country guns a blazing to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities. I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious and sweet. Just like the terrorist thugs attack our cherished Christians. Warning the Nigerian government better move fast. And I'm sure he is saying somewhere even though we didn't say it there. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Joining us now with reaction is Rav chief of White House correspondent Brian Glenn. Brian, morning to you. Nigeria, well, look, we know there's a genocide going on of Christians. I tell you what though, Nigeria, okay. I wonder what Maga's thinking about that. Yeah, well, you know, it's one thing that we've known this has been taking place for quite some time and Nigeria is divided in that country. To the north is predominantly Muslim. To the south is predominantly Christian. And we want to point out that the government of Nigeria are not killing Christians. It's been jihadist ISIS inspired organizations and groups, terrorist groups that are targeting these Christians. Thousands have been slaughtered. I think this, this warning shot, if you will, to those terrorist groups from President Trump and from Secretary Hex says Secretary of War saying that we could engage in some type of retaliatory strike against them is good. I mean, we need to be standing up for these poor people being slaughtered and they're slaughtering all kinds of people, not just Christians, but innocent civilians as well. So the government of Nigeria simply cannot do this on their own. This is proven. They are inept for doing this. They do need our help. But what's the timing on this? I do not know. But President Trump using that aggressive language in terms of potential strike in Nigeria.

Yeah, they certainly do need help, Brian, and this is my Gen Z take on this. Even rapper Nicki Minaj is joining the fight. She is addressing that there needs to be help. We do want to switch gears to this. Two federal judges recently ruled that President Trump must tap into billions of dollars of emergency funds to prop up the SNAP program, which ran out of funds over the weekend as the result of the ongoing shutdown. Brian, is there an end in sight here?
David Brody
I think there is. And I'll compare it like this. You know, remember when President Biden dipped into the petroleum oil reserves to lower in falsely lowering the price of gas by flooding the market with oil? Well, these are funds that are set aside for natural disasters in type of an emergency. That's what they are calling on to release. But here's the sad point. We have about 6, I think 6 billion in funds available for that. But our need to really satisfy the nation, which is another complete story why we have so many people that are on SNAP benefits, is about 8 million. So there is a shortfall to actually cover everyone over the time that they need. But I do think this week, I think after the election tomorrow, which by the way, I'm in Philadelphia, I'm on my way to New York to kind of be on the ground there with the RAV team to cover that very important election there in New York and the governor races in New Jersey and Virginia, I think once the election's over, I think the Democrats will vote to reopen the government and we'll continue those talks. But they do not want the very people, and you guys brought it up to not get the benefits that they advocate so much about. So I do think there's some relief. And look, look, there's a lot of abuse and fraud in the SNAP and the food stamp system. We all know that. But there's a lot of hardworking people. Over the last week or so, I have been across this country talking to people that are in desperate need of these benefits. And I think at the end, President Trump wants these people, it would be his honor, his quote, to make sure that these people get the benefits they need. But we need the Democrats to open up the country. I think they do that on Wednesday, day after the election. And then from there on, we need to have that conversation about the, not only the health care, but also how we can trim down some of these benefits that we know goes in the wrong hands.

Brian, you know, that part of it makes Me crazy. Brian. We want to turn for a moment to the president's trade war. We're learning now that Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney apologized to the president during the APEC meeting in South Korea. The apology was for an ad made by the Ontario government that aired last week. The spot featured President Reagan's voice criticizing Trump's tariffs. Yeah. How's the White House responding to this apology?
David Brody
Well, obviously, President Trump is not. He's taking the apology, but he's not doing anything about it. We're still not going to negotiate with Canada. Those tariffs are still on there. But what's interesting to point out, Dr. Gina, if you remember, we talked about this last week. I can't believe this was cleared by Carney. Carney knew that this would upset President Trump. Knew it, knew that he would be offended by it, but still allowed it to happen. And that could damage the relationship that they have between these two countries. So, you know, shame on him for allowing it to happen. But, you know, there is consequences to airing something like that. And get this, this very important Supreme Court decision is all about the tariffs. And that message was meant to tarnish the concept of these tariffs as painting them something that's horrible to influence, in my opinion. That's my opinion. The outcome of that Supreme Court ruling on these tariffs. We'll keep an eye on the Supreme Court this week. Very important decision going down. But that ad certainly didn't help at all as far as to stand up for America, because these tariffs are for what President Trump likes to say, part of a national security as well as additional revenue.

Supporters say it's about human rights. Critics call it a direct challenge to federal law. The legislation now heads to Governor J.B. pritzker's desk for signature. To discuss more, let's bring in Dr. Gina and David Brody. Gina, I don't see how any of this makes any sense.

Yeah, just illegal is illegal is illegal. You know, I have one of my dearest friends, her husband was actually a Republican lawmaker with my husband, you know, you think you know where people stand. It's interesting, I just want to say, cuz we live in a bit of a bubble. And she reached out to me on Friday, one of my dearest friends from my old town of St. Louis, and she said, oh, I have this friend and her husband is being deported. And they didn't think this was going to happen because he's been here for 12 years and they have a baby and he's never done anything wrong. And I'm like, he did do something wrong. He came into our country illegally. If he came into your house 12 years ago, this was hard to say to my friend, but if he came to your house 12 years ago illegally and they just now are getting around to prosecuting it, I don't think you'd have a problem with it. And maybe his wife should have thought before she married somebody who already broke the law. I mean, we either have laws for a reason or we don't. So. Emily, you're absolutely right. David, I'm. Shut up. So you've got some time to talk?
David Brody
No, I mean, I want to hear more about that. Actually. I think that's a whole other venue or discussion point to have about. What do you do with people that are here 20 years, 25 years, that did commit an illegal act by crossing the border here and that now they've been here and they've had kids and the whole thing, what do you do? Do you just deport them all? I mean, you know what? Actually, let's talk about that for last minute. Gina, what do you think? I mean, if there's like a family that's been here, let's say 30 years. Thirty years, because it's been going on forever. And so you. But, but my question is, do you actually go around and find them and deport them? Or if they are caught up that right now what they're doing is if they're caught up in some of this as they're not doing anything criminally illegal, but if they're next to those folks that are doing Something criminal. Legally, criminally criminal, illegally criminal. Sorry. Then they would be rounded up. I get that part, but I'm talking about just going to their home in suburbs of somewhere and just saying, you've been here 30 years. It's over for you.

I mean, I think President Trump and Kristi Noemi, all the rest of them, have made it very clear this is not a priority. But my question back to my friend was, do you know that he hasn't done anything criminal? Or is that what your friend told you to get you to reach out to me, to try to say something to President Trump? Which obviously I'm not going to do. But here's the reality, David Brody, whoever it is, however long ago they did it, they took the place of many friends of mine who are waiting patiently on their families for decades to be able to come over to the US and they did it illegally. So I really just. I don't have. I have empathy for a lot of things. Do I think they should be prioritized? No. But am I upset if they get caught in this wind? No, because they did take the place of someone who wanted to come here legally.
David Brody
Yeah, I think we agree on that part. The part where you said you don't prioritize it. I don't prioritize it either. I mean, to me, I put this on Congress, I put this on past White Houses. They're all complicit in all of this. So. But anyhow, I don't know. I don't think we should be breaking up families that have been here 30 years. Do I think they should pay back taxes? Do I think they should pay a fine? Do they think there should be repercussions? Absolutely. That's biblical, all of that. Do I think you kick out a family that's been here 30 plus years if they haven't. If they haven't done anything criminal after they did something criminal. I get it. They did something illegal, I say no.

So the bell with the New York Stock Exchange is going to ring in a few minutes. Let's take a look at the futures. Oh, there they are. Hello. Lots of green. I'm sorry, I got to put on my glasses. I'm 60 years old. Well, the Dow Jones actually is down just a tick, but the s&P, NASDAQ, gold, silver, crude oil. Why is it crude oil? Was it bad? Sorry, I'm like the corny guy in the suburbs who just makes jokes and literally no one thinks they're funny. All right, now it's time for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. We've got American Sunrise Early Edition host, the guy behind Jake's take substack. That would be Jake Novak. Jake, I really want to ask you about Mom Donnie, but I'm not going to do that. Maybe at the end, the rest of the media, even the financial media, only reports on gas prices when they're shooting higher. So what's the deal at the pump for Americans right now? And why does it matter? And by the way, let me just say I looked around this weekend. They're coming down big time. Yeah. You know, I promised myself 20 years ago that I wouldn't forget about gas prices, even though I was reporting out of New York. And all these New York financial channels don't pay attention to it. Wall Street Journal doesn't. But we are now the national average, and a lot of you are paying less than that, including me. The national average for a regular gallon of gas is now down to $3.03 a gallon. I think we're going to get down below 3 bucks maybe this week. You know, we keep getting close and then it goes back. But I have a feeling the Trump White House is going to make a big announcement when that happens, and I'll be happy about that. This is a big deal. For every penny that we go down or up on the average gas price in America, that's a billion dollars either in or out of the economy. So a penny down on your gas price per gallon is a billion dollars more into the economy to buy other things. That's why it's so significant, and that's why it's such a disgrace, really, that the rest of the financial news media doesn't report on this regular. This should be a number up on the bottom of their screens on those financial channels that look like geometry homework with all those charts. They should have that price on there regularly on the screen every couple of minutes too, because it's so important to the American economy. But if you're a financial journalist in Manhattan who takes Ubers and cabs and never even sees gas prices, then you know you're in a bubble. And I vowed I would never be that guy. So it's important to get that out there. I made a horrible decision this weekend. I saw gas, it said 279. And I was like, oh my gosh, I got to get that. Of course it was across the street. I had to make a couple of left turns and whatever. I was like, time is money, let's move, let's move. And so I decided I'll just go to something closer to my home. And of course it was $3.13. Womp, womp. So that was the end of that. Yeah. All right, Jake, the big execs at Amazon and Walmart, they're starting to openly admit what we've all known was true for a long time, which is AI is killing jobs at these big companies. But you say there's a catch to all of this. Please explain. Yeah, if you're a fan of karma, pay attention to this story. AI is, we know is going to eliminate jobs. It eliminates jobs at big companies, but of course it creates jobs and others, people who are working on the AI technology. Whether this will be a net loss in jobs for the whole country, I don't know. But at big companies, yes, they're starting to lose jobs over this. The other catch to this is very simple. Unlike some other things that have eliminated jobs over the years, the AI comes for the big and top executives as well. Now, maybe not yet at Walmart, but it's already happened at Amazon. It certainly has happened at Google. I'm talking about very high level executives who have suddenly lost their jobs because of AI. So literally some of the people at some of these companies who are writing the emails corporate wide telling everybody to be, you know, concerned about this and they, that it's gonna happen to you, they themselves, the type, they're gonna go out of business too. They're gonna lose their jobs too and maybe they'll have to find a job somewhere else. But this is a little bit different. And honestly the people saying, well, we gotta do this, sorry, tomorrow it'll be them and we'll see what they say then. Yeah. Hey Jake, we got about a minute left. It's been a whole week, by the way, since you've poked fun at the overspending of electric on electric cars in this country, in Europe, That. That's a long time, Jake. You've been holding back. So let it out. What's the latest? Yeah, there's a company called Polestar. It was created by Volvo, then spun off. They make, like, performance cars, electric performance cars, that kind of thing. Well, they're about to get delisted by the nasdaq. Listen, I know there's a lot of chicanery on Wall Street. Maybe you guys don't trust it, but there are some basic rules. And if your share price of your stock is below a dollar for a certain amount of days or weeks, the NASDAQ's gonna delist you. And they do that to save future investors from losing their shirts. Boy, I wish they could do that with all the EV investing, because about 90% of that has been unjustified. But anyway, thank you, NASDAQ. They're going to probably delist this company, and that'll be one less place for you to lose your money on and the whole EV craze, which is too far gone. Jake Novak, great to have you with us. That was weird. President Donald Trump returned to 60 Minutes this Sunday, his first appearance on the program in five years. The interview, by the way, was taped Friday at Mar a Lago. It covered a wide range of topics, the US China relations, Venezuela, Israel, immigration and the National Guard. The sit down marks the president's first one after he sued and later settled with CBS's parent company Paramount over a 2024 election interview with then candidate Kamala Harris. Immigration, we should say, was a particularly hot topic. President Trump actually refusing to cave to leftist talking points. Good for him. Of course, he didn't. Take a look. More recently, Americans have been watching videos of ICE tackling a young mother, tear gas being used in a Chicago residential neighborhood, and the smashing of car Windows. Have some of these raids gone too far? No, I think they haven't gone far enough because we've been held back by the, by the judges, by the liberal judges that were put in by Biden and by Obama. You're okay with those tactics? Yeah, because you have to get the people out. You know, you have to look at the people. Many of them are murderers. Many of them are people that were thrown out of their countries because they were, you know, criminal. Nora Head. Nora head. Nora ODonnell's head. What? For more, let's welcome in former sheriff and now US Congressional candidate from Arizona, Mark Lamb. Mark, good. Good morning. Only Trump. You gonna dial back on that? Heck no, man. We gotta go. Are you crazy? Norah o' Donnell going, oh, gosh, that wasn't on my talking points. What am I gonna do now? Your thought? Well, I loved it. I loved his answer. You know, look, all across America, we do, we affect arrests and when people are non compliant, we use tactics such as breaking windows, tear gas, and it's used on American citizens all the time. What people are. The left is making an issue out of people that are in this country illegally. A lot of these issues, these use of force that you're seeing that the media is making a big deal of is because the Americans or other people are showing up and getting in the way. And these guys have to protect themselves. So I agree with President Trump. I think in many instances they should probably be arresting the people that continue to instruct and impede these investigations. But it comes down to compliance. And a lot of these people continue to run from ice. They continue to fight against ice. And a lot of that is precipitated by bad talking from politicians in Washington, D.C. and from the media that continues to act like they're doing something wrong. They are doing the job that Congress set forth and that the American people said we want done. And I'm glad that President Trump said that because I agree with him 100% on that. Yeah, and this is so spiritual too, right? They're doing something good and they're being called evil. I mean, that says everything you need to know with the far left. Mark, let me get your take on this. Mexican President Claudia Scheinbaum expressed outrage over the closure of 13 flight routes to and from Mexico City. So the U.S. department of Transportation announced the closing of flight routes last week, saying that Mexico violated an international agreement. I'm curious to get your take on this. Well, this is another person who gets caught not doing their part. The United States has been telling Mexico for a long time. Stop doing what you're doing. They were rerouting flights, doing all sorts of different stuff, and eventually they took advantage of a weak administration for the last four years. Now you have an administration that's actually looking out for the American people first. And when Mexico continued to not do their part, President Trump and his administration decided they were going to get involved and this was the consequences of it. She can be mad all she wants, but all it takes from her side is just to do their part. Yeah, there's no doubt. Hey, Mark, you're running for Congress out there in Arizona, so talk to us about that. Give us the lay of the land. What's the district, the biggest issues your campaign is focusing on right now? Obviously, immigration is one of them, but there's more. Well, the east Valley. This is the east valley of Phoenix. So it's out where I live. Santan Valley, Queen Creek, Mesa, Apache Junction, Chandler, East Mesa. This is a great area. Andy Biggs has been our congressman for many years, and he's phenomenal. He's one of the most conservative congressmen in Washington, D.C. he is now running for governor. And this seat needs to be filled by somebody that's. That's going to be equally important to not just Arizona, but to this country. Somebody who's going to present and represent that conservative value. Somebody who's unapologetic and unafraid to stand up for God, family, freedom and the Constitution. And I think that candidate is me. I've got a proven track record. I've been the sheriff. I ran for Senate was unsuccessful. But hopefully we can. We, the people of this district, will see the value that I bring to the table. Especially now, look at these issues with immigration and border and crime. These issues are still right on the forefront. Even though this administration has done a great job on so many levels. We've got to solidify these. Good work. The good work with good legislation. I think we need people in Washington, D.C. that understand it, that can hit the ground running and that are proven conservatives. And I think that is me. And hopefully anybody that wants to support will come to marklam us. I would love your support. Yeah, I got 30 seconds or so here, but it looks like I think the midterms are literally a year from today. I think that's the actual date. So I know it's early in this. Well, it's never too early. But what's us Any sense of what the primary would look like and how this might shape up and what the terrain is there? Because there can be others running, obviously, in the primary, conservative wise. The way I've always run a race is I focus on my race. That's all I can do. I can't control anything else. And so I focus on what I bring to the table. I get out there, I share my message, my experience, and why I think I'm the right person for the job. And I'm looking forward to getting that opportunity to do that all across this district. And frankly, I'll be all across the state, and hopefully we can win the primary and start to help other folks in some very tough districts because we've got a couple tough races here in Arizona. We want to make sure that we preserve those as well. I'd love to anchor this spot, this district, and looking forward to just getting in the race and winning over the vote for the people of this district. Absolutely. It has been now revealed, I guess, and the chat has gone crazy about it. It's one of those areas in chat where there's simply no daylight. The people in chat are extremely upset about both the U.S. district Judge James Bolzberg. I always say that wrong. And his lap dog Jack Smith, who was probably unconstitutionally made a special counsel. But that being said, people are now seeing them for what they really are and they are not happy. People don't want to see this just as a moment of exposure. They want to see consequences for these wholly un American acts that have been committed. In fact, in the chat, Wisdom 2024 says 235 judges appointed by Biden should be impeached, whereas Robert McGuire, I added impeached. This should be indicted. And I totally agree with that. Mar98 says that. Oh, and I agree this is so much worse than Watergate ever was. And it's one of those things like President Nixon was fond of saying, you scratch that scab and a lot of stuff comes out. Personally, I feel like that we've just scratched the surface of this and I think that there is a lot more to come. We demand for a change, that our elected representatives actually represent us and perp walk these People where they need to be. Yeah. You are channeling the chat for sure. Okay. Carefree. Hi, welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. Gina. Thank you. Thank you so much for joining us today. Now it is time for our sunnyside up and in the pan today. Faith in action. Elementary school teacher Scott Johnson in Kentucky used fishing line, corn based plastic and a 3D printer to build a functional hand for a student born without one. I know it's hard to almost even imagine this. All right. He didn't seek praise, just Johnson. STEAM focused teacher at Red Cross Elementary School in Kentucky noticed four years ago that one of his kindergarten students was missing a hand. But as a Steam teacher, Johnson had access to an arsenal of 3D printers in his workshop. So the project took 25 hours of printing and four hours of assembly, but it requires no wires or batteries. Here's what Johnson told local reports with this.

This would give him the ability to use his own functioning wrist function to actually hold on. When he flexes his wrist down, it closes the fingers and hands around. And when he flexes up, it widens his grip.
Dr. Gina
And I think they said. Didn't he say kindergarten age? How old is this kid?
David Brody
Yes, I think so.

That is a cool hand. I can see my kids wearing one of those just to try to look cooler when they were five.
David Brody
Yes, for sure. And by the way, how about that? 25 hours of printing. 25 hours of printing. I mean, just incredible. You know, I was actually. I was doing a Bible study, and it kind of related to this to a degree. You know, it talks about. The study is talking about choosing righteousness over convenience. And a lot of times we don't. We choose convenience first. Right. We don't do the extra effort to really help someone or to be righteous in our deeds. And this is a great example of someone putting righteousness, a righteous sort of work, if you will, ahead of convenience. I mean, 25 hours of printing. You know, all of the work that went into this. Great stuff.

It is great stuff. You know, I know this kid is definitely the most popular on the monkey bars at recess with that hand. That is very, very cool. Just a beautiful story all around.
Dr. Gina
Really beautiful story. And the story of the teacher just going the extra mile. You know, I'm sure he has a million things he could do in his off time. And the fact that he was doing that, I think is just. Should inspire all of us. David, what was the Bible study?
David Brody
Oh, it's about. You really want to know?
