This is an iHeart podcast just ahead on American Sunrise. New York City has spoken. Democrat Socialist Zoran Kami Mamdani is the new mayor of New York. What does this mean for the city? We have coverage throughout the show. Plus, the government shutdown has entered its 36th day. This is breaking all records, you all as the longest shutdown in U.S. history. But reports say an end just might be in sight. What's the timeline? We're going to ask Utah Congressman Burgess Owens coming up soon. And also later, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene did something a lot of conservatives haven't done, won't do. She went on the View. If you missed it, I watched it second time ever in my life. It was really interesting. And we have some highlights for you. That story. So much more ahead as American Sunrise starts right now.
B
Good morning America.
A
Welcome to American sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
C
Politics.
B
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
C
We've got you covered.
B
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
C
We have to protect the American family.
A
The American dream is still alive.
B
I'm David Brody.
C
I'm terrence.
D
And I'm Dr. Gina.
A
Good morning, everybody. I'm Dr. Gina. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Woo. It's been a morning. Let's bring in David brody in Washington, D.C. and T. Bates, he's in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, gentlemen.
C
Good morning, G T. Dr. Gina and David, good morning. So look, just a quick programming note right here off the top. President Trump is set to host a breakfast at the White House with senators that's going to happen here within the next, next 30 minutes or so. The moment he takes the podium at that breakfast, we, of course, will take you there live. It's one of the many things we're anticipating. But the big story today, obviously the results of yesterday's election. And I'm gonna do a bit of a about face, if you will, and talk about whether this was a referendum on President Trump. That's what a lot of the liberal media is going to focus on. They're gonna say the results, the fact that Democrats won big last night, it was a referendum on President Trump. I suspect neither of you see it that way.
A
Dr. Yeah, I see it as a referendum on the Democrats, actually. I think they wanted something different. I think they are really tired of the Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer brand of politics and they went for something completely out of the box. I think what they really want is their own Donald Trump. So they thought, well, if we can get somebody just completely outspoken, completely out of left field. Cuz that's what Trump was originally, let's remember. I think that's it. I think the other thing is you have an entire generation, David, of this Gen Z, people who feel like they're never going to have the American dream. And they voted for Trump for that reason. And I think they are searching, searching because they still can't afford housing. They don't think they're going to get to live the American dream. And the bottom line is you can't fix it all in less than a year in a presidency. But I think Donald Trump will continue to chip away at that and do better in midterms. David?
B
Yeah, I'll try to be relatively quick here. No, it was not a referendum on Trump. Let's get that off the table. That's ridiculous. We can get into that in a second. But it was a good old fashioned thumping that the Republican Party took last night. And here's the deal. Let's put Mamdani to the side just for a quick second. Look what happened in New Jersey and Virginia. They ran center left candidates. Now you can make the argument that Spanberger and Mikey Sherrill, you know, that they're maybe further left than they're giving on, but they position themselves from a PR standpoint as moderate Democrats. That's the lesson for Democrats. If they want to get back in the game, they better go center left, not far left. And what they did last night in New Jersey and what they last night in Virginia is they ran those type of candidates and they won. And they didn't just win, they didn't just hold blue states, they overperformed. Look, here's the truth of the matter. Spanberger, okay, she won 59% of independent voters, 59%. Now you go, wow, okay, but wait, in 2021, four years before that, the liberal Terry McAuliffe who was preaching all of the pro abortion stuff and all the LGBT stuff and all that, he won 45% of independents. She outperformed him by 14% among independents because she came across as a moderate center left Dem. Mikey Sheryl did the same thing. Phil Murphy, a liberal, got 48% of the independent vote. Mikey Sherrill last night, 56 of the independent vote. The point is, is that when you run moderate center left candidates, the Democrats are in the game and they can win. And Gina, to your point that you've said on this show all along, that's good for America. We need a Democrat party that is Serious and cutting out all the crap on the left, the far left, whether it be the anti Semitism, whether it be the LGBT stuff, whether it be the boys and women's bathrooms. If they stop talking about that, even though they might believe it, but if they stop talking about it and don't act on it and act instead on affordability and other things, they might be able to salvage themselves as a party.
A
But they lie during elections and they will not. They will not work that way. Once they're activated, then they'll be voted out.
B
Then they'll be voted out.
A
And I hope you're right, David. I do think there's another message here of Winsome Sears losing so badly. I think she's one of those who came out against Donald Trump during the Biden administration.
B
That's right.
A
MAGA doesn't forget. And I just want people to put this all in line with what they're thinking of when they're thinking of the 2028 presidential elections. Those who have said bad things about Maga's endorsed candidates, not as much about Donald Trump as it is about who MAGA decided was the person. And they took it personally that Winsome came out against them. That's how MAGA feels. They're not going to forget that in the 2028 presidential either.
C
David, David, David, I know you're itching to say some more, but we've got to move on to our Bible verse because we've got a guest waiting. I'm sorry, guys. I know you could. We will continue talking about it. Would you give us our Bible verse? Dr. G. I wanted a filibuster.
A
President Trump wants that to go away. Genesis 28:15. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land, for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you. Beautiful verse. For this morning, New Yorkers have spoken. And they elected Democrat Socialist Zoran Mamdani as their next mayor. Here is part of the victory speech. Take a look.
E
My friends.
B
The sun may have set.
F
Over our city this evening, but as Eugene Debs once said.
C
I can see.
E
The dawn of a better day for humanity.
C
For as long as we can remember.
E
The working people of New York have.
B
Been told by the wealthy and the.
C
Well connected that power does not belong in their hands. Fingers bruised from lifting boxes on the warehouse floor. Palms calloused from delivery bike handlebars.
F
Knuckles scarred with kitchen burns.
C
These are not hands that have been.
F
Allowed to hold power.
G
And yet, over the last 12 months.
F
You have dared to reach for something greater.
A
For more. Let's bring in Utah Congressman Burgess Owens. Congressman, he has some fighting words for Donald Trump, too. I hope we're going to get to those a little bit later in the show. Told him to turn up his volume because he knew he was watching. Congressman. And President Trump responded with. And so it begins. Nobody really knows what that means. A little bit ominous of a response from President Trump. What did you think, Congressman?
F
Well, first of all, just always remember, Marxists always show up with a big smile. And I think to the point of your scripture, I think at the end of the day, we showed in November of last year that we are showing up that our country is changing. It also, I think, is a referendum of what's been happening for the last few decades. The biggest issue, from what I understand, is cost of living. And here we have. People have no idea that socialism is not the answer. It never has been. So we have a chance. And the upside of this is we're only in 10 months. We have a whole year now to show the American people and also for us on our side to realize this is serious. We can't stand on the sideline. We can't sit back and think, well, you know what? Somebody else will get it done. The message will be very simply, let's show up once again. Our country needs us. We need to make sure that we're pushing back on the Marxist ideology that's captured these states. And to the point earlier, don't trust these Democrats. They lie. They are very good at telling exactly what they need to say until they get to where they start to vote, when they started voting. They will always vote in step against our country, against what we believe in, and against our culture. So this is a really great moment. I believe, Obviously, November of 2024 was the beginning of this. We have to realize we cannot take our foot off the pedal. Guys. This is a time that we need to learn from where we are right now. Go ahead and get back to making sure that we really understand that the blessings the heavenly Father has for us, that is by being unified and moving forward as we move into this, this coming year.
B
No, absolutely. Congressman David Brody here. Good to see you. You know, by the way, Donny, let me just be clear on some of the numbers. So he won by 180,000 votes. 100,000 Jewish voters. Jewish folks voted for Mamdani, 100,000 in New York last night. Curtis Sliwa got 146,000 votes. If Sliwa had gotten out of the race and half the Jews wouldn't vote against Mamdani. Cuomo could have won. But anyhow, hindsight's 2020 at this point. All right, the headline now from NBC News, it's about the government shutdown. Curious to get your take on this because it seems like it may be able to end this week. What are you hearing right now? We're now at the longest one in history. I understand there's some bipartisan, if not talks because I know there's not gonna be any negotiation beforehand, but at least a way to get the government open. What are you hearing?
F
Well, there's not going to be a negotiation. It's going to come down to very simple this. Their goal was to use leverage, to use fear, to lose hatred so they get their voters out. By the way, let me just say this. This is why we're not a democracy. By the way, our founders realized that democracies are driven by passion. A republic is driven by a pushback of reason with that. And that's why we set up the way we are. So the reason that we will continue to move forward is we have to hold on to our country. We have to educate our kids and we have to understand what Marxism and communism truly is. And then make sure that this coming year that we put together the right people and as a conference, we need to stick together, by the way, we need to make sure that we're looking at for our entire team to bring them back so we keep the majority. But at the end of the day, I think we're going to be in a good place. We're going to probably end up this thing this year, this, this, this week. I'm thinking, so we go back next week. They've used the leverage. They've gotten their, their goals in place. There's really no reason for them to continue to keep this open. It's just going to kick back on it more if they don't find a way to get back to make sure they pass this clean. CR.
C
Congressman Terrence Bates here about 45 seconds. What is the lesson that was learned for Republicans last night? It obviously was a night of losses across the country. Looking forward to the midterms next year. What can Republicans take into those races in order to try to have a better result?
F
That we came so close to abyss. And this is an example of what would have happened if we have not won in November of last year. This is our moment, our moment to realize. We have to be serious, my friends. We cannot think that because we have a great president that we're going to push this thing through. Every one of us have to come together, do our part, keep the pedal to the metal and hustle like we never have before. This is a legacy for our kids and now's our moment to make sure in 2026 that we show everyone that our way, American way, is the way to go. Not the leftists and not the lies that they normally put across to get elected for sure.
A
Congressman Owens, we love having you on. Thanks for being here with us.
C
Thank you, thank you, thank you guys.
F
All the best.

America Democrats and Democrat socialists are the ones making big headlines this morning following Tuesday elections. It was the first big election since President Trump took office back in January. Republican gubernatorial candidates in Virginia, New Jersey, both suffered losses amid hopes that the GOP could hold serve in Virginia and pull off an upset. New Jersey, New York City voters elected Democrat Socialist Zoran Mamdani taken to truth Social President Trump posting quote, trump wasn't on the ballot and shutdown were the two reasons that Republicans lost elections tonight. In the meantime, it is back to business for the President as he is scheduled to have breakfast with Senate Republicans at the White House within the next 15 minutes or so. The group will discuss trying to convince Democrats to end the current government shutdown. Despite Tuesday being an off year election, next year's midterms were squarely in focus for voters from coast to coast. In California, voters approved a new congressional voting map which is expected to give Democrats in the Golden State as many as five additional seats in the U.S. house. The California move counters an effort by Texas Republicans at the urging of President Trump, to redraw that state's election maps in order to deliver more Republican congressional districts to pad the current GOP majority in the house. California's Proposition 50, as it's known, asked voters to suspend a voting map drawn by an independent commission and instead replace it with Democrat drawn voting districts. The new maps will be used for next year's midterms as well as the 2028 and 2030 elections. At the moment, Republicans only have a slim 219 to 213 edge in the US House. Tragedy in the skies as a UPS cargo plane crashes and bursts into flames. This was the scene at Louisville, Kentucky's airport as the plane was taking off from the UPS's global aviation hub. You can see the ball of fire there. We're going to get a little bit closer. You can see it quite literally burst into flames. There you have it.
G
Wow.
C
At least seven people are dead, 11 more hurt. The flight was headed from Louisville to Honolulu, Hawaii. The National Transportation Safety Board is handling the investigation and will have a team of about 28 people on the ground looking into what caused this deadly crash. Look at that. Meantime, UPS has suspended package sorting at the Louisville facility. For the time being, it is the company's largest package handling facility. As for flight operations at Louisville's Muhammad Ali International Airport, planes are once again taking off this morning. That's a quick check of your headlines. I'll have more headlines coming your way in just a little bit. But now let's get a quick check of your media of your forecast. Excuse me, Weather Nation's meteorologist Tracy Anthony joining us. By the way, don't forget to scan the QR code that we're going to put up there at the bottom of your screen and join the Weather Nation family. There you have it right there. Tracy, good morning.
D
Hey, good morning, Terrence. You know, across the country, weather conditions are pretty calm and quiet, but we have two systems that we're watching, one working across the Great Lakes, the other pushing onshore across the Pacific Northwest. So a soggy west coast and expect some rain, some snow and some breezy conditions for the Great Lakes. Now, temperature wise, we're all pretty comfortable. Actually, a lot of us trending above average for this time of year. The Twin Cities, 54, Seattle in the 60s and even Boston, just shy of about 60 degrees for your daytime high. So that's going to be the big story out east over the next couple of days. Several systems that will bring in pushes of cooler air, rain and even some snow by the weekend from Minnesota all the way to the east coast and then areas out west, it's going to be a parade of low pressure centers with this atmospheric river here for the week. And then next week, Terence, we are bracing for the coldest air of the season and it may even impact me here in Florida. So going to give me a little taste of fall as well.
C
Okay. Cold air, that's not what I like to hear, my flight forecast, but I.
D
Know I don't either.
C
Thanks so much. Yeah, I know, right? I'd prefer to have umbrella drinks and just sit in the, in the sun somewhere. Tracy, we're going to check back with you next hour. By the way, folks, go to that QR screen there at the bottom. Again, join our conversation. You can also go to our various chats on get a rumble YouTube. Let us know where you're watching. And then you might be one of our lucky viewers to get a special hometown forecast live right here on American Sunrise just for you coming from Tracy. So make sure you stay tuned for that. Up next, though, as New York City elects Democrat Socialist Zoran Mamdami as its next mayor, is the city on a road to ruin? We'll discuss right now, though, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date one year ago that President Trump won his second term in office. You may remember, 45, 47 first faced Joe Biden. But after a disastrous debate, Biden dropped out and Trump ended up defeating Kamala Harris. Trump became the first president since 1892 to serve two non consecutive terms.
E
More.
C
American Sunrise coming your way in two minutes.
B
Welcome to communist New York. Zoran Mandani, as Gina says here on the show, and appropriately so, Kami Mamdani will be the next mayor of New York City. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. So New York clearly has spoken. They've elected Democrat Socialist. Okay, come on. Democrat Socialist. We know what he is. His name is Zoran Mamdani. He's going to be their mayor. And during his victory speech, he had some choice words for President Trump. Take a look. If anyone can show a nation betrayed.
E
By Donald Trump how to defeat him.
F
It is the city that gave rise to him.
B
And if there is any way to terrify a despot, it is by dismantling the very conditions that allowed him to accumulate power.
F
This is not only how we stop.
C
Trump, it's how we stop the next one.
F
So, Donald Trump, since I know you're.
B
Watching, I have four words for you.
C
Turn the volume up.
B
We were going to get there to talk more about that, but we have President Trump speaking live to Republicans breakfast this morning. Take a look. Here it is live.
E
But I don't know about that, but I was honored that they said that. And I just want to thank everybody for being here. And a very special thanks to Vice President J.D. vance, who's doing a terrific job, as well as the Senate leadership team that has been working very hard. Working, really. I will tell you, nobody is working any harder representing the American people, including Senator John Thune. John, thank you. Senator John Barrasso. John, thank you very much. Senator Tom Cotton, wherever you may be. Tom, thank you. Thank you, Tom. Thank you. Senator Shelley Moore, Capital, who has been doing.
B
Thank you.
E
Senator James Lanford from one of my favorite states. 77 out of 70. 77 out of 77. Reagan was 56. That was the record. We got seven. We got every one of them. Thank you, James. And a fantastic friend of mine and an incredible advocate during the election a year ago, Tim Scott. Thank you, Tim. So, as you know, we are in the midst of a disastrous Democrat created government shutdown, and it is Democrat created. But I don't think they're getting really the blame that they should. That's now officially the longest shutdown in American history. The Democrat radicals in the Senate have shown zero interest in reopening the government. And I don't think they'll act so soon. A lot of people disagree. I've been saying for the last 30 days we've had four or five different points. Yes, sir, they're going to get it right now. We should have it done in a day. I've heard that about four times. I heard it after Kings. You know, they said I was a king. And I heard it after King's. I heard it after a couple of other moments in time. And I said, no, I don't believe so. And now I heard it's after the election. I don't believe so. I think they will. I think they're kamikaze pilots. I just got back from Japan. I talked about the kamikaze pilots. I think these guys are kamikaze. They'll take down the country if they have to. So I don't think so. Millions of Americans are going to be without SNAP benefits. And I will say about SNAP benefits, so when I was President, we had $7 billion worth and now they have many times that because these benefits were given to anybody that asked and they're up to here just many times, 47 billion. So it wasn't the purpose of SNAP. That was for people that really had problems down and out people that really had problems. But during Biden, they gave it to anybody that wanted it. I think it's something you have to, to talk about because the numbers are incredible. But countless public servants are now not being paid and the air traffic control system is under increasing strain. We must get the government back open soon and really immediately we have to get it up. We have the hottest economy we've ever had and it's affecting the stock market now a little bit. But the stock market as of Friday has hit many record highs during the last nine months. Many, and it will again. This is just the beginning because when these plants that are being built right now start opening up, we've never had anything like this as a boom. There's a construction boom right now, but that's going to be bigger than that. That's going to be an economic boom as soon as they open up and it's going to be something special. We have car companies coming in. When I was in Japan, Toyota. Mr. Toyota. I said, what's your name? Toyota. I said, oh, you're rich. I said, how much of the company do you own? 92.1%. I said, I'm glad you said the one he wants to be. I said, you're a rich guy. And he said, I'm investing $10 billion in the US and you know who I'm talking about, right? You introduced me, Mr. Senator, you introduced me originally when you were the ambassador to, to Japan. He's still good. He's still Strong. But he's, he had no interest in investing in this country. Now he's investing $10 billion as of one week ago in building new plants. We have auto plants coming in incredibly, but we have AI and all of them. And we can't be extorted to give $1.5 trillion to people that came into the country illegally. Many from prisons, many drug dealers. A lot of people came in from mental institutions. They want to give a lot of money to the people that came in illegally. We have to get them out. We can't. No country can sustain that. That's like an attack on our country and no country. These are not going to be productive people. These are going to be anti productive people. And we can be all have big hearts. I have a bigger heart than anybody. But we can't let that happen. It's time for Republicans to do what they have to do and that's terminate the filibuster. It's the only way you can do it. And if you don't terminate the filibuster, you'll be in bad shape. We won't pass any legislation. There'll be no legislation passed for three and a quarter. We have three and a quarter year. That's a long time. But when they can't do an extension and John, I think they've done an extension every single time they've ever been asked, forever. This is the first time they haven't done an extension. Extensions are supposed to be easy, but if they won't do an extension, they won't do any bill, even a simple bill. And we should do our own bills. We should get out. We should do our own bills. We should open up. We should start tonight with the country is open. Congratulations. Then we should pass voter id. We should pass no mail in voting. We should pass all the things that we want to pass. Make our election secure and safe. Because California is a disaster. Many of the states are disasters. But can you imagine when they vote almost unanimously against voter id? All we want is voter id. You go to a grocery store, you have to give id. You go to a gas station, you give id. But for voting, they want no voter id. It's only for one reason, because they cheat. We would pass that in 15 minutes. If you don't get it, you'll never pass that. You'll never talk about mail in ballots. Mail in ballots, make it automatically corrupt. If you have mail in ballots automatically, it's correct. Even Jimmy Carter, the head the Carter Commission after he got out of office and he had a group of very distinguished people, Democrats and Republicans, and they passed. They recommended things take place. It was a long time ago. And they said about mail in ballots, if there is mail in ballots, there will definitely be corruption because, you know, they pass through too many hands. I mean, you go in to vote and they want you. Even me, I went into Palm beach. You go in to vote, they want your card, you're this, you're that. They say, I'm sorry to do this, sir, but I have to look at your identification. I said, that's all right. I love that. And, but, you know, you're really not going to get away with much. It was very, very professional and very good the way it's supposed to be. But these people don't want that. They have legislation in California where it's illegal to ask somebody for voter id. If you ask somebody for voter id, if you're an official and you say, I'd like to see your voter id, they can arrest you, okay? They can arrest you because they want to cheat and they get away with it, and the Republicans let them get away with it. And we won't do that if we have the filibuster. So I'm just going to. We're going to talk about that a little bit and we're going to see if we can sway because I know we have a lot of. Not a lot. I'd say half feel this way, maybe a little bit less than half, and it's time to have a really good talk. If I thought that they weren't going to pass the filibuster, I wouldn't even bring it up. They're going to pass it within the first hour if they take power. And it's more likely that they take power if we don't do it. Because we're not going to be passing any legislation. They're not going to approve anything. We're going to go three and a quarter years. There won't be one bill that we're going to pass because the easiest thing to pass is exactly right now what they won't pass. And they'll do that and they'll wreak havoc. But let's assume they get it. They're doing it anyway, so it wouldn't matter. They're doing it anyway. And you know, I have a case where I have great US Attorneys that can't be approved because of the blue slips. The blue slips. I think you should terminate blue slips, too. It's a mental termination because it's really a custom. But if you have a Democrat, senator or two. Two is bad, but it doesn't make any difference if you have one senator who writes a negative letter on some great U.S. attorney. We had it in Manhattan. Southern District, Jay Clayton, one of the most respected lawyers in the whole country, by far one of the most respected. And couldn't get approved. The courts approved him. The courts couldn't believe it. They did it, like, instantly. He went to the best schools, got the best marks, top of his class. Everything was perfect. I mean, he was like, led the perfect life. Went to Sullivan and Cromwell almost immediately. Became the head of Salomon and Cromwell, you know, the most prestigious law firm, I would say, in the country. Just about whether it's Sullivan or two or three I could name, but Sullivan I would say, really, maybe number one. He was the head of Sullivan and Cromwell for, like 20 years. He went to the SEC, was flawless. He did it for me. He was the SEC chairman. He was flawless. Then he went to Apollo, where he was the chairman of Apollo, and it was flawless. Everything went good. The stock went through the roof and everything. I asked him to go to the Southern District, and he said, I'll do what you'd like to do, sir. He's a very high quality purse. But he couldn't get approval from Schumer. Schumer didn't approve. The best student, the best schools, everything. He's like, flawless. And the courts actually said, you're not approving. Jay Clayton. Right. Lindsey, you heard this. The courts actually interceded it and they approved it. But that's an unusual guy. We have other people that are really good, but people don't know how good. Top students, top, top colleges, and they're U.S. attorneys, and they won't be approved. They're not going to be approved. We have one in Los Angeles who's phenomenal. The senators. The Democrats are. You know, again, they're kamikazes. The Democrats aren't not going to approve them. Blue slips are a disaster. So the only people I can get approved are Democrats. I was told that by the Democrats, we'll only approve Democrats. I said, really? Is that right? Not going to work that way. Not going to work that way with me. But the blue slips are a total disaster. We will. I have 10 people right now that will not be. That are doing a phenomenal job. And they will be out of office pretty soon. They've got another two, three weeks, a couple of them, and then they're going to have to leave. And it's actually a blight on their record because, you know, Nobody knows why they left, but it looks like they served eight weeks and then they had to leave. But they're not going to get the approval because the Democrat radical left lunatic senators are saying, you can't. We're not going to approve you. And if we're not going to approve you. I had actually one Republican who got two great letters, but it turned out that he was rhino, but that was a nice term for him. Now he got two letters of approval, and when I said two Democrats approved him, I had to fire him because I figured if two Democrats approved him, they wrote the most beautiful letters. I found out, man, this is strange. And he was no good. I fired him. He was, he was really not much of a Republican. The recommendation of that one wasn't such a good recommendation. Someday I'll tell you who recommended him, but it wasn't exactly, exactly the best. But when I saw two, you know, when I, when I saw the two senators from Virginia gave him glowing marks, Tim, I said, let me see this. I read the most beautiful letters I've ever seen. I said, I called him up, I said, sorry, you're fired. Get the hell out of here. And. But it's a horrible thing. Blue slips is a horrible thing because I have the right to pick judges and I have the right to pick U.S. attorneys. And this takes away the right from. And I think we're going to go to court on it and, you know, we'll see what happens in court. But it gives the President, it takes away the right of the president to pick people to serve on the court and to serve as U.S. attorneys, which is very important. But the biggest thing is the filibuster. We have to get the country going. We will pass legislation at levels you've never seen before, and it will be impossible to beat us, by the way, if they do, they were going to do it anyway. And they are going to immediately do the filibuster. And when they do the filibuster, they're going to pack the court. They want five, at least five justices. Now they, I hear it's up to five. I actually heard up to seven and up to nine. Okay, they want new judges. They want to pack the court. And they will do it the first day, maybe the week, maybe they'll slow it down because there's no reason to rush, but they'll do it first week. They'll vote on this. And I have friends over there that are Democrats, very. I'm close to a lot of people and I asked them about that because some People say, well, maybe they won't do that. I mean, they destroyed the career of Manchin and cinema and they got them out. They were the only objectors. Nobody else is going to object. They're going to do it the first day. They're going to pack the court. They're going to make D.C. a state, and they're going to make Puerto Rico a state. So now they pick up two states, they pick up four senators. Okay, you think you have problems? They're going to do all of the things. They're going to pick up electoral votes. It's going to be a very, very bad situation. And it's done. It's done as soon as they attain power. Now, if we do what I'm saying, they'll never. They'll most likely never attain power because we will have passed every single thing that you can imagine that it's good and all good for the country and there'll be no reason to do it. If we don't do that, people will say they're not doing much and they're in power. So the good news is we did the great big beautiful bill and it's the greatest thing we could have done. And the smartest thing with John and our speaker of the House, who's so good, Mike. Mike Johnson. We did all in one bill. If we didn't, John, it would be a problem because, you know, we would have gotten a small piece to pass. A lot of people wanted to do that. A lot of people in the room wanted to do that. They went along with me and John and everybody, and we got this thing passed. Honestly, it's four years worth of goodies. No tax on tips, no tax on Social Security, no tax on. Think of it, no tax on overtime. It's an unbelievable tax cut for the workers and for business, where businesses is going to create jobs. And we are. We're creating jobs at levels that nobody has ever seen before. All these things are good. We have to be able to get the word out. If we don't get the word out, we're making a very big mistake. So I have this long, beautiful and very boring speech. I won't bother reading it, but because we can just start talking. And I think it's very important. We have to get the country open. And the way we're going to do it this afternoon is to terminate the filibuster. And it is possible. You're not going to do that. And I'm going to go by your wishes. You're very smart people. We're good Friends. But I think it's a tremendous mistake, really. It would be a tragic mistake, actually. It's time. It's time. If I thought they weren't going to approve, I'd sort of be with you. It'd be fine. I'd be neutral to. With you. But knowing that they're going to pass it, as soon as they get any semblance of control, they'll pass it first thing. Then it's like we have to. To do it first. And we have two years, and we'll end up with two, three years. And we'll have this country so perfect, we will have passed more legislation than any Congress and any group of senators or group of congressmen, and we will get it through. They'll send it to us, we'll send it to them. It'll be a beautiful machine. Otherwise, we're just going to sit around and argue with these people all day long. And they're highly unrealistic. Highly unrealistic. Many of them are radical left subversives, frankly. So I want to thank everybody and we're going to talk and I want to thank the press for treating us so really well for that foreign trip. It was an amazing. We had just an amazing meeting. Don't forget, two months ago, it looked like the whole world was in trouble over rare earth. And that's no longer even a subject that people talk about. It was all worked out very quickly. Without tariffs, I couldn't have done it. I put a 100% tariff on China as soon as I heard it, within 20 minutes. I put a 100% tariff on China, on President Xi, who's really a friend of mine, as much as he can be a friend. He's a tough man. He's a tough man. Smart man, actually, very smart. The press doesn't like it when I call him very smart. You know, they think I'm not supposed to call him so. But at least 1.4 billion people, without question. In fact, during the meeting, we were there, a couple of you were there, and some of you saw it. So he's here and he's got about six people on each side. And every one of those people was standing like this. They were in attention. And I made a comment to one of them and it got no response. I said, are you going to answer me? I got no response. And President Xi didn't let him have any. So there's any question. I said, I want my cabinet to behave like that this week. I'm demanding that my. I want them sitting up like that. Tim, Just nice and straight. I never saw a posture like that. I've never seen men so scared in their lives. They have the equivalent. The equivalent of a vice president. He was. I said, are you going to answer my question? And he's like, he doesn't move. I said, what's wrong with this guy? I will answer all questions. Why don't you behave like that? JD doesn't behave like that. JD Buds into conversations.
C
What's.
E
I want to have. I want to have that for at least a couple of days. Okay, J.D. we'll keep you long term, but a couple of days. A couple of days of that would be very, very nice. Okay. I want to thank you and we'll talk a little bit. And I see they set me up with a podium. I thought I'd just be sitting, but it's probably easier. I want to thank you all very much. Thank you to the press. And you can go and we'll speak to you later. Thank you. I'm going to Miami to make a speech today at a big group, and we have a nice, big crowd, and we'll see you there. A lot of you traveling down with me.
A
Thank you very much, Mr. President.
D
You sound very frustrated by last night's elections. What are the takeaways for people in this room?
G
Thank you. Press.
D
What happens if they don't eliminate the press? Please, please. Thank you.
G
Thank you.
D
Thank you, guys.
C
So you were listening to President Trump hosting Republican senators at the White House. They're going to be having a discussion now as they eat breakfast together, but the president making a number of different remarks, obviously sounding off a little bit about the election last night, but also calling on senators to reopen the government and pass voter ID laws, also pass no mail in voting. He also believes that Democrats will ultimately drop the filibuster if they happen to win a majority. But the president, of course, has been encouraging Republican senators to drop the filibuster in advance so that he can continue to push his policies through and he continue to push his agenda forward. Let's bring in Dr. Gina and David Zier now to discuss all of this. There was a lot to take in. Dr. Gina, I'll give you the first opportunity to tee off on all of this. Your big takeaway from what you just heard. Again, I just listed some of the things the President alluded to and some of the things that he's going to be pushing as part of his agenda. But there is quite a bit to take in.
A
Yeah. First of all, I think it was nice to see A president that was so presidential as he stayed very calm, he didn't really respond to any of the silliness of Mamdani, all the rest of it. So that was nice to see. I think that the consensus is I'm looking through our chat, I was listening to the president, but I was also looking through our chat because I'm very interested in what the American people think today. And I think that to put it very succinctly, President Trump being president is a huge job. That's obviously an understatement. But he has spent a lot of time looking out at the world and trying to fix things. I think it is time to come home and to focus on our, especially our economy. People are feeling completely disabled economically, David. And I think that that is a lot of what is happening here. And if we don't come home and focus on our domestic issues, I'm afraid our midterms will look like this. David, I'm so curious your take Dr.
C
Gina, I couldn't agree more with you. And the foreign policy is critical, but people can't survive. And that's what this Democratic Socialist of America thing. They're exploiting the people who are having these struggles that are leftover problems from the Biden administration and COVID policy and supply chain. And things are expensive. Lettuce is still $3 ahead in the supermarket. Now some things have come down and I think the interest rates will be down even further in the spring. You might be able to get a 30 year fixed rate at, you know, five and a half, 5.25%. It's still very high. And Trump's economic agenda has not kicked in yet. And all these manufacturing commitments and the Hyundai steel plant and all this stuff is awesome. But it's going to take time. And Powell's not moving fast enough. We need another 100 basis point drop. I'm in construction. We're feeling the pinch. There's a temporary spike in construction costs from tariffs, lumber, other things. I know that's going to be resolved, but people can't wait. And that's exactly what Mamdani took advantage of yesterday in New York City. David, I'm curious what you see President Trump being able to do more immediately. Obviously he's definitely been able to ramp up investment, particularly manufacturing investment and otherwise in the United States, which will set the platform in terms of policy wise for a resurgence, if you will, of the US Economy. But more immediately, what would you like to see the president do the then while oil's already down at $60 a barrel. He's got to put pressure to lower gas prices even further. You know, thank God I paid 250 a gallon in South Carolina a couple of weeks ago. So, you know, things are happening. But, you know, these kids are coming out of College with a 6% unemployment rate. The American dream is fleeting, you know, and these people are, are being told, you know, by these Democratic socialists that it's Trump's fault, that supply side are economics. It's all this stuff, but it's not. It's the policies of the progressive leftist, high tax inner cities and states that have caused these problems. And I think he should really focus on this. Maybe he needs to do an economic summit and at the White House and bring young people in and hear their concerns because, you know, you know, people are, they're driving Ubers on the side, they're working two and three jobs. And all our time across the country following the Trump campaign, everybody was working two and three jobs. And it's very, very difficult today. And, you know, this is so complicated. Mamdani is taking advantage of these kids, but he's going to reward his millionaire friends who are going to build all these affordable houses that donated his campaign. So why are they bad good millionaires and Trump's a bad millionaire or billionaire, you know, so, you know, I think that Trump's got to put the economy front and center and put the blame squarely on where it needs to be.
A
You know, our buddy Steve that comes on the show all the time, the economist blanking from me right now. He sings, you're so vain. I sing, you're so vain to him on the commercials every time. Anyway, he said we need to stop calling it capitalism and letting them label capitalists even more. Thank you, Terrence. Stop labeling. Letting them label us as these, you know, awful, selfish capitalists and use that class warfare to divide people. It's free market capitalism, and that's really important. And the difference between a tyrant and Donald Trump is, yes, Donald Trump is wealthy, but he wants every American to be wealthy. He's said it many times. He's working for it every single day. And I think he's gonna. It's gonna take more than nine months to get it done.
C
Yeah, it's definitely gonna be a process. David, I'm sorry, we've got to go to break. But, David. Dr. Gina, we appreciate the conversation. It's a conversation we'll obviously continue to have over the next couple, couple of years. We appreciate both of you, but coming up, yesterday's election fallout meets a crisis of Faith. We'll have the details on that ahead here on American Sunrise.
E
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
C
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It is now time for our moment of faith, which is brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible. In focus today is faith and political fallout. Yesterday's elections may have been local, but the stakes felt spiritual in this divided nation where faith is often sidelined. Every vote tells us something about who we are and who we are becoming. Joining me now to break it all down is Bishop E.W. jackson. He's the president of STAND, which stands for Staying True to America's National Destiny. Pastor, so good to see you.
B
Thank you for having me on, Terrence.
C
So as we get into this conversation, my pastor's sermon from this weekend immediately comes to mind. He really encouraged us as, as a congregation not to make candidates our savior, but to focus on the true Savior. And I think that's really where it starts.
E
It absolutely is.
C
Look, we're not in a political battle ultimately in America. We're in a spiritual battle because the word of God and the Judeo Christian values of our nation suggest there are fixed standards and absolutes, and there are people who simply don't want that anymore. They want everything open. They want moral relativism. And we have got to continue. The Bible says, do not forget the ancient landmarks which your fathers have set. And we've got to come back to those ancient landmarks and those absolute values.
F
If we want America to be prosperous in the future.
C
There's a saying that goes all politics are local politics. And I would make the argument, Pastor, that all politics also are rooted in our local relationships and how we interact with each other spiritually and morally. Oh, there's no question about that. I mean, for example, right now, sadly, there's a big racial divide.
F
Even many black Christians vote for Democrats who support transgenderism. They support unfettered and unrestricted abortion. They support guys being on women's sports teams and in their showers and things.
C
That we know are absolutely against our.
F
Judeo Christian value system.
C
But they vote that way because they are convinced that somehow the other side represents oppressors and oppression and racism and this side represents some kind of liberation. But you can't have justice without righteousness. And so we've got a big job.
F
To convince people to vote their Christian.
C
Values and their Judeo Christian values rather than race or party. So let's get back to being practical. How do we get to that point? How do we get to the point of voting based on biblical principles as opposed to the principles of the day or the prevailing principles of the day. Well, this is not going to be.
E
Good news, but I think pastors are.
C
Going to have to find their courage and tell their people that politics does have moral implications. And you ought to take your Bible.
F
Into the voting booth with you.
C
You ought to take your Christian principles.
F
Into the voting booth and choosing the.
C
Candidates you support and choosing the policies you support. Now, not every policy is going to be spoken clearly in the Bible, but many are. And you've got to make sure that you're voting on God's side, frankly, not on the side of those who would oppose God. So that it begins from the pulpit. And then I think every Christian has got to realize when you cast your.
F
Vote, you are casting a seed of.
C
Either righteousness or wickedness in some cases. And you got to make sure that when you stand before God, you can say, lord, I sought to vote righteousness. But you also have to practice that righteousness daily, not just on election day. Pastor will leave it there. Amen. Absolutely. Don't get me to start preaching. Pastor. Appreciate you, Bishop Jackson.
B
Thank you.
C
Thank you so much. Thanks so much for your time, Bishop. What a great conversation there. We're back with the second hour of American Sunrise in two minutes.
A
Coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise, Democrats win this years off year election and Democrat socialist. So run commie mom Donnie. He is now the mayor elect of New York City. Meanwhile, Mickey Sheryl wins in New York and rather in New Jersey while Abigail Spanberger takes Virginia. We're going to cover the election fallout throughout this hour. Plus, the Supreme Court is set to hear a landmark case on President Trump's use of tariffs today. Critics say the president has exceeded his authority by issuing those wide ranging tariffs on U.S. trading partners. We'll have analysis on what's at stake straight ahead. And later, some bad news for Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. A new poll reveals what Americans really think of the senior Democrat. And the numbers, they don't look good. Those stories, so much more as the second hour of American Sunrise starts right now.
A
And I'm Dr. Gina.
C
Welcome back to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm Terrence Bates, aka T Bates, aka Big Sexy, coming to you from our Denver newsroom. Let's bring in Dr. Gina, aka Chocolate Gina. We'll tell you that story momentarily, as well as Emily Finn, AKA Emily Don't. Come on. Don't call me Huckleberry Finn. Good morning to both of you guys. I'm just coming up with these nicknames off the top. Oh, my gosh, Dr. Jean, I'm sorry.
A
I never even thought of the Huckleberry Finn thing. No wonder I could never say your last name.
D
I was gonna say I thought twin.
A
Was coming out in the nickname, but you don't remind me of him at all. And I'm from Hannibal, Missouri, originally, so I know all about the Huckleberry there. But, yes, I spilled a poppin bottle, which is kind of like a chocolate collagen coffee thingy, all over me, all over my hair, all over my dress, everything, walking into work today. So, you know, I'm always full of surprises.
D
You.
C
Well, Dr. Gina, great.
D
Gina, I would have never known.
E
Would have never known.
C
And the only reason I know is because we were having the conversation and kind of joking about it. And this is, I guess I am proving my mom right. She says that I'll tell it all, that if anybody wants to keep a secret, don't tell me because I'm not just gonna tell it all. I tell. Yeah, I.
A
But does she know that you do that on television? That's the question.
C
She knows now because she's probably watching. So, Dr. G, I apologize. I just got a chuckle out of that. And so I just wanted to share with our viewers. Love you. Mean it. All right, guys, look, there's a lot coming up this morning. President Trump, of course, we just saw him speaking to Republican senators there at the White House. He's going to be heading down to Miami for The America Business Forum 47, joining an elite roster of leaders in sports, business and technology. Other prominent speakers are going to include soccer superstar Lionel Messi, actor and producer Will Smith, and so many others. Joining us now from that area with details is Ralph correspondent Bo Davidson. So, Bo, fill us in. What all can we expect today? This is a pretty interesting kind of meeting of different people from various political and social environments.
G
It is. Terence, good morning to you. We've got YMC in the Village, People pumping right now. They're obviously preparing for President Trump to arrive. So it already feels like a rally, to be honest with you. But as you mentioned, Terence, America Business Forum, it's a consortium of business leaders. So think culture, sports, business Leaders, tech, social developers, athletes, entrepreneurs, this consortium of business leaders. And putting Miami as an epicenter. Terence, because you know, you've got the G20 next year at Doral. You also have the FIFA World Cup. Miami is a host city to it. So they're really putting Miami in focus. It should come as no surprise that Miami Mayor Francis Suarez is president of the board of the America Business Forum. Now, President Trump's going to put his economic worldview into the front and center today. So he's going to talk about that great Asian tour that he did, securing investments, deregulation, oil prices, and making it better for American families. So that's kind of what the theme of this forum is. It says the world meets in America. That's their theme.
C
Bo, I would imagine that crypto is also going to be at least part of the conversation. Mayor Suarez, as you mentioned, has said in the past that he would like to see Miami become a crypto hub here, not just domestically, excuse me, but also globally. So I would imagine that will be part of the conversation as well.
G
It certainly could be. I'm really very impressed, actually, with the amount of athletes you mentioned. Leo Messi, he's a hero here in Miami. He just signed on to continue with Inter Miami, and of course, he'll be playing in the World Cup. Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, Jeff Bezos is a late ad. He's going to be the keynote tomorrow night. So just let me give you a rundown, Terrence, of some of the people that will be speaking today. You've got Maria Machado, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, Saudi ambassador to the U.S. there's a lot of Saudi involvement in this particular conference. Tony Robbins, the aforementioned president, Donald J. Trump, ken Griffin, the CEO of Citadel, the president of F1, the president of FIFA, and of course, Leo Messi. So it's just a very interesting group of people. But I think what this is, Terrence, honestly, is like a more accessible version of Davos. There's a lot more people that can get involved in this, and they want to make it accessible. And with Miami being at the epicenter, so, yes, crypto probably will be discussed. But I'm just amazed at the diversity of the type of leaders that will be at this forum today and tomorrow.
C
Hey, Bo, would you like to place a wager that Maria Machado, the Peace Prize winner, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, brings the prize and hands it over to President Trump? You may remember after she accepted, she said that this really is Donald Trump's award. What do you think? Do you think she'll actually give him the award.
G
You know, that would be quite a statement. And I think this would be the place to do it. I don't think the two have been in the same room before up until this point. So it's quite possible. And boy, we're going to be watching that. We're going to have live coverage all day of this and especially when President Trump speaks, which I think should be around 1pm Eastern today. He's supposed to speak for about an hour and then he heads out, right back out to D.C. so he spoke speaking with senators this morning coming and speaking for about an hour and then he's out of here. So let's see if that happens. Terrence, I like your prediction. And you know what? I'm going to take it.
C
You're going to take it. All right. We'll take the over under. We'll put a steak dinner on it. If it happens or if it doesn't happen, it doesn't matter. You and I will share a meal. It's going to be interesting to watch. Bo, always good to talk to you, my friend. Thanks.
G
T. Bates, good to see you.
C
Thank you. You as well. All right, folks, let's get a quick check of our forecast now. Meteorologist Tracy Anthony joining us in our studios there in West Palm. So, Tracy, time for our hometown forecast. What do you have for us?
A
You know what?
D
And today it worked out perfect because we have forecasts from areas where there's actually a lot of weather activity. Oakfield, New York, this one from Dr. Jamie Irwin. Look at this forecast. They are going to be socked in with several systems and some lake effect precipitation and even some snow as temperatures cool down into early next week. But today under wind advisories. So winds up to 50 miles per hour. Now out west in Kalispell, Montana, a few rainy days for you as well. We've been talking about that atmospheric river that's setting up across the Pacific Northwest. Finally, we clear out for the weekend and temperature is holding steady right around 50°. This was from ginger 406 on getter. So also one more stop. This one's for Bo down in Miami. Hey, it's going to be a big beautiful couple of days. We do have a taste of some cooler weather as we get into early next week. But hopefully Miami will stay above that freezing point. I know other areas of Florida won't because we're going to drop down to about 40 in northern Florida. And Terence, I know you're a little super mooned out, but for the rest of the viewers today is the best day to check out the supermoon. It's going to be the biggest, the brightest. Right as the sun goes down and.
C
The moon closes, I prefer to look at, I prefer to look past the moon to the stars. That's why I enjoy doing these segments with you, our very own star, Tracy. Appreciate you, Tracey.
F
Thank you.
C
You go, girl. All right, folks. And as always, you can scan that QR code right there at the bottom of your screen and join our Weather Nation family. Well, the Supreme Court will hear arguments today on President Trump's use of tariffs. Trade protections have become one of the 47 signature policies, especially in his second term. Yesterday, Treasury Secretary Scott Besant gave his two cents on the matter. Here's some of what he had to say.
F
I think it's a matter of national security. And this is one of the president's signature policies. And it'd be very unusual for the Supreme Court to overruled president's signature policy. Supreme Court gave President Obama a lot of room on Obamacare. And President Trump's two signature policies have been securing the border, which has been a credible success. And it has been the tariff policy, rebalancing US Trade and, you know, its economic security.
C
Joining us now from the supreme court building is RAV congressional correspondent Benny Ray. Harmony, David and Dr. Jean are also back. Actually, Emily, Dr. Jean, excuse me. Also back for the conversation. Benny Ray, good to see you. So let's talk about what is expected to happen today there at the Supreme Court. Simply oral arguments, but this is a huge case that really can set precedent long term for President Trump and for other presidents.
A
Yeah.
D
Well, good morning, Terrence. It is a huge day because this case is not just a case that will affect the United States, but this is these are cases that will be seen over overseas and on a very broad spectrum. And so to break down a little bit, the tariff, the different types of tariffs, we have the trafficking tariffs that President Trump put into place back around February, that is Canada, Mexico as well as China. And so these go back to the how these countries have not really put in the work to help stop the fentanyl crisis in America. And then you have the reciprocal. Now these are on about every country at 10% and some countries even going up to 11%, all the way to 50%. And Caroline Levitt yesterday in her press briefing, she actually said she goes, look at how President Trump has been able to use these tariffs as leverage to to get peace deals to end global conflict. And the two different arguments that we're going to hear Today is from their. There was two different lower court cases that actually passed when it comes to tariffs, but the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. And so this is what President Trump is going to be using to show that these tariffs can be done. And the challengers are going to say that this gives the president the right to regulate importations and exportations, but not tax people. So, so it's going to be an interesting one. We're expecting about 80 minutes of oral arguments today, but as we know, that will probably go longer. And Treasurer Scott Bessant will also be in attendance here today.
A
Well, Benny, we look forward to your.
D
Reporting throughout the rest of the day.
A
We do want to turn now to.
D
The president's other signature policy. The Department of Homeland Security is blasting the Illinois state Legislature. That was earlier this week after it passed a bill creating safe zones for illegal aliens facing arrest. In a post on X, the agency said the Illinois General assembly just passed the ridiculous HB 1312, a misguided attempt to obstruct law and order. The bill undermines community safety by providing sanctuary to criminals at civic centers and other locations statewide.
A
Benny, your take on all of this.
D
What are you hearing? Honestly, Emily, that is news to me. So I need to do a little bit more research on that. But I mean, anything that has to do with Illinois is truly what we're seeing. And that's my hometown. You know, Emily, Illinois is the place that I was raised. And watching how these lawmakers are acting and the things they are doing in opposition to President Trump is just actually disgraceful. And I think J.B. pritzker has a lot to do with that. And I've talked to multiple people inside the Illinois state legislator that it is a, it is not just Democrat. And I want, I want people to know that Illinois is not a lost state. And we can, we can say that we just, our Republicans need to continue their work and need more support from the president in these rooms, I believe.
A
Betty? Well, they told me to close, but it looks like I have a question up, so I'm going to go ahead and ask you. The government shutdown is officially the longest in American history. Democrats have said they will reject any funding bill that doesn't extend enhanced Obamacare subsidies. But we're hearing hints that it could end this week as early as tomorrow. Want to know what you're hearing with your ear to the ground in Washington, D.C.
D
Yeah, well, we know the president. He had the breakfast this morning with senators. And so I do see a resolve coming to the table very soon now that The Democrats have gotten what they want with the elections with Communist Mandani winning as well as they really sweeped yesterday. And I will say that I hope that President Trump and the Republicans here in Washington D.C. put this to an end. You know, we've been fighting this for long enough and at this point, this is really affecting the working class American people. And I, I don't want to say this necessarily on live television, but it seems like a pissing battle, to be quite honest with you. And I know both sides have points as to what they're doing, but I think it's time Republicans step up, end this and get in the room with Democrats and do the work that needs to be done. We've been doing Benny on the Blocks where we're out on the street in Washington D.C. for the past two weeks. And we have gotten the same responses from almost everyone we talk to, Democrat and Republican. This has to end. There are activists and advocates here wanting to talk to their elected officials. And guess what? They can't because they're not here and the government is not open. They're not able to go into these buildings and use their rights that were given to them in the Constitution. And so I'm calling, and I think we all are, it's time to open the government.
C
But, but, but Benny on the block. I can't wait to hear that. On the block. I love it. I love it. That, of course, immediately came to mind. Anyway, Harmony, we appreciate your time. We'll talk to you later on today. Thanks so much.
D
Thank you, guys.
C
Of course. All right, folks, coming up, California Representative Nancy Pelosi completely losing it on CNN and slamming the President in the process. No big surprise there. Right? Well, we've got details on the meltdown and we'll show it to you. Let's spill some tea.
B
That is a great idea. Let us spill some tea right now. It's fueled by Artillery tco, the only, only America first veteran owned tea brand. Here's their mission. Maximize flavor with whole leaf blends in chemical free tea bags. So no junk, just real tea. Oh, and here's the tactical advantage. Each bag brews twice. So this is what you do. You go to artilleryteaco.com and use the code LIBERTY for 20% off your first order. Once again, artilleryteaco.com Premium Tea Mission driven brood for the brave. All right, time now to spill some tea. And in the cup today we have a tempest in the teapot. And that tempest, this is good writing, would be California Representative Nancy Pelosi, you know her The California Democrat who will not be seeking re election next year and will effectively be ending her political career, spoke to CNN reporter Alex Michelson. Yes, that's his name. Alex. Anyhow, they spoke earlier this week. During that. Sit down. Pelosi called President Trump vile and the worst thing on the face of the earth. The former speaker went on to claim that 47 turned the Supreme Court into a rogue court and that he's abolished the House of Representatives. Oh, my goodness. Anyhow, take a look at some of.
E
The interview our founders did not want to have. Again.
A
How can I say this?
E
It'll sound like I'm awful about Trump because he's just a vile creature, the worst thing on the face of the earth. But anyway. You think he's the worst thing on.
B
The face of the earth?
A
I do.
E
Yeah, I do.
B
You know, she did the Biden thing. But anyway, anyhow. All right, Nancy, go live off your stock market funds. We want to know what you think. By the way, let us know on Rumble. Get her. Hop on. Let your voice be heard. All right, coming up, we're headed down to Wall street for the opening bell, an insight into something called credit washing and why it could cause some real problems for the car industry. Back with more American Sunrise in two minutes, everybody.

A live look at the U.S. capitol. There's reporting out that the government shutdown could end as soon as this week. Now that we're through election Day, we of course will continue to monitor all of the happenings in and outside of the US Capitol for you Now. We are in the longest shutdown ever though. 35 days. And yeah, hopefully it will end soon again. We'll keep you updated on that throughout the day. We're also going to keep you updated on the markets. A quick look at pre market trading. Everything looking good outside of crude oil, all green. The dow S&P 500 and the NASDAQ are all up right now. Hopefully it will stay that way and even increase more. We'll take you to New York for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange here in short order. First, though, let's get you over to David Brody. David, good morning.
B
Good morning. T. Bates on a Wednesday. All right now, time for our daily dose of dollars and common sense with American Sunrise. Early Edition host, the guy behind Jake's take substacks, that would be Jake Novak, always around at what time is it, Jake? Let me look at my clock if you don't mind real quick. You always join us at about 9:24. I feel like the Rain man there. I don't know why I had to do that.
G
All right, time for again, time for Wapner.
B
What's up, Wapner? Wapner. People's Court. People's Court. Yeah, look it up, folks. Look it up.
E
Gen Z.
B
All right, here we go again with the market suddenly getting cold feet about AI. I mean, the last time this happened, it passed pretty quickly. So what's the deal this time, Jake?
G
Yeah, so in April, we had a big market sell off because suddenly some Chinese company came out of nowhere and said, oh, we can do these AI programs a lot cheaper. And the Wall street folks were like, oh my God, we overpaid. When they realized that that was all baloney, they threw all their money back and then some back into the markets. And we've had a huge rally since then. Now, Wall street guys have been looking at Palantir, that company we just showed you, and Nvidia earnings and their money, and they're thinking, wow, those numbers are really, really big. Maybe we should pull back. But here's the funny thing. It's actually not their human reaction to it. It's their AI programs who are telling them, hey, this AI number is a little too high. I mean, it's literally AI against AI. It's, it would be funny if it weren't for the fact that some people lost some money yesterday. But as Terence just showed you, the markets are flat to slightly higher this morning. It looks like this was a one or two day freak out. Some people are seeing it as a buying opportunity. Of course there's going to be some air spending. That's not going to be justified. Metta Mark Zuckerberg, Moron but other than those folks, I think there's going to be plenty of money to be made in this and don't worry if AI is overspent or then AI will tell us that it is. So we're good. We're all good. We're all good.
B
Hey, by the way, I have a quick question about the stock market. I heard Trump today at that breakfast with Republicans say that he was a little concerned about the stock market not doing all that great right now. But you know, and of course in his optimistic tone he'll say it'll bounce back. But, but I, I thought it was striking that he actually mentioned that normally he doesn't go negative much and he was a little down on the stock market. I'm curious to get your take on that.
G
Well, I think that he's looking at a couple of things. First is, you know, it was at this all time high and it still really is very close to the all time highs. We've had just a few days, about four or five days of generally downward trends, but they haven't been very large. We haven't had anything that we could really call a sell off, a major sell off. But I think that he's worried about maybe that, yeah, there is going to be a bubble, more people are going to wake up to it. And I think he's also trying to get out ahead of what we talked about yesterday. There's a real coordinated effort by the mainstream media and the Democrats, same thing, to talk down the economy. And I think he wants to be able to say that first to take the sting out of it. Because as you know, when President Trump says two plus two equals four, the his enemies will say it is equals five. And maybe he will preempt their, their narrative by doing that.
B
Yeah, for sure. Hey, what about this credit, what are you calling it? What? Washing? Is it called Credit washing? Credit washing. Explain this. We teased it in the break.
G
Yeah, yeah, real quick. I want to explain it. By the way, when you have a bad credit report, you can temporarily get your numbers way up higher again by disputing all of the actionable stuff against you. You can say, oh, you know, that isn't really me. And for a temporary time, it will boost your credit score. Now that isn't going to be good enough to get you to buy a house because that process takes too long. But for buying a car, there's a way to game that system. And we're finding out that more and more people are doing this. They're getting that temporary boost undeserved in their credit score score. Buying a car at a low interest rate and then never really intending to pay that auto loan back. This is something that's starting to happen more and more often. It's called credit washing. Something that has to be done about this. We certainly don't want to take people's right to dispute potential lies or fraud about. About their account. But people have figured out how to game the system. There's a lot of phony baloney loans right now. People have figured this out probably with AI, how to phony, how to get phony credit reports and stuff like that. That's what's going on. And the auto dealer's got to be careful about this because this could end in a lot of repos.
B
Interesting. All right, we've got about a minute left or so. We got some time to talk about pizza. We're pizza stobs and we're proud of it. By the way, we don't. Pizza Hut. Real pizza. Come on, stop.
C
But.
B
But apparently we're not alone because the chain is getting slammed. By the way, the Pizza Hut just closed over about a mile or two from my house. But anyhow, not that people need to know that, but please, go ahead.
G
Yeah, it's not doing well. The company that owns Pizza Hut, Yum Brands, it used to be part of Pepsi, owns Taco Bell. It also owns kfc. Taco Bell and KFC are doing great. So this isn't a fast food thing. This is a Pizza Hut thing. And they're trying to figure out exactly why it's losing market share. So it's, you know, obviously it's losing market share to Domino's. This is just the pizza market I'm talking about. But it's losing, I think also to some other new maybe mom and pop shots that are start shops that are starting to open up. That certainly is the case on Long Island. People don't buy Pizza Hut or Domino's that much on Long Island. But I can tell you Pizza Hut's losing in this race, and I'm sorry to see it go. It used to be an experience to go to a Pizza Hut. That was back in the 80s, though most of you are too young to know about that.
B
You're dating yourself. Thank you, Jake Novak. By the way, if Mom, Donnie, this whole government run grocery stores. If he ever does Bleecker street pizza and tries to do pizzas, government run pizza, I'm out. That's a bridge too far. All right, sir. Thank you. Good to see you. All right, time For Terrence in Denver for the opening belt in New York Stock Exchange, sponsored by amac, the association.

E
Is going to ring here in short order.
F
There we go.
C
Right on cue. The markets are now officially open. And let's see how things are looking. Just like that, things changed or are changing. As you can see, the Dow is up. The S&P 500 is down slightly. The NASDAQ is up. Vix looks like it's flat as well. Gold is up and crude oil is down right now. And it looks like the S P500 just went into the red. It's going to be an up and down day of trading. Very likely. And so you're seeing how things are looking to open this day. All right, folks, well, you may want to consider buying gold. The poll comes as Democrats continue to block efforts to reopen the government. That story next here on American Sunrise.
A
All right, welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us today. We invite you to hop in our conversation on YouTube. Getter and Rumble. It is time now to take the political pulse of America and the beat. Today a new poll spells trouble for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. A majority of Americans, including many Democrats, say they disapprove of the way he's handling his job job as the Democrat leader in the Senate. Now according to latest Economist YouGov survey, 52% of voters give Schumer a thumbs down, while just 23% approve of him. Now these numbers come as Schumer faces growing backlash over the government shutdown stalemate, with House Speaker Mike Johnson accusing him of putting politics ahead of the American people. According to Speaker Johnson, the Senate minority leader has lost control of his own party, allowing radicals to call all the shots. Here was the House speaker earlier this week.
B
This is a fact and you should print it this way. Schumer and Jeffries and their colleagues fear political retribution from the far left activists in their party more than they fear.
G
The consequences of keeping the government closed.
B
For weeks on end.
A
For more, let's welcome to American Sunrise, Minnesota Senate candidate Royce White. Royce, are you surprised by these poll numbers at all?
F
Absolutely not. They suggest exactly what they should suggest. You know, and I think Mike Johnson's 100% spot on. I think there is a growing fear of the far left wing of the Democrat Party from what used to be the centrist. I don't really consider a centrist. I kind of feel like if you capitulate to the extreme into your party, you're no better than them. But I do understand what Speaker Mike Johnson is saying. And the American people have already spoken on the Democrat Party. Their approval ratings are as low as ever. Scary to see what happened in New York City. Even more scary what's happening here in Minneapolis given those polls. But overall, I think we got to hold the line.
B
Well, let's talk about the off year elections in Minneapolis as well, which of course the mayoral race out there. So give us the latest on that. But, but basically you've got New York and Mamdani and here we go. We're off to the communist races and we'll see what happens there. But then you've got this air quote, democrat, socialist, call them whatever you want. Royce I'll let you choose the word running for mayor out in Minneapolis and out there, it's kind of quirky, right? I mean, you gotta get 50% to stop the runoff. And there was Jacob Fry, the moderate Dem did not get 50%. So the Democrat socialist in Minneapolis there, and the mayor, he also has a shot to become mayor of Minneapolis. What do you think? What's going on?
F
Absolutely, absolutely. It's very concerned. Well, first of all, I just call them communists. I just, I call them what they are.
B
Yeah, exactly.
F
And it's very concerning to see that the third and fourth candidates in that race had such a big percentage, being 14 and 10. You carry about 24% of the overall total of the votes. This, this race is very much in play in, in the coming days here. And I, I get the sense that it's a referendum on Jacob Fry and, and there's more of a, you know. Well, Jake has been there for a number of consecutive terms, so let's try something different. Doesn't bode well for him. Definitely bodes in the favor of fate, which is dangerous for Minneapolis. But the state of Minnesota, I mean, Minneapolis is, is the financial capital of our state. Obviously one of the biggest financial, you know, markets in the entire Midwest, in the heartland. So consequential for the entire country, yet again, even though it's just Minneapolis versus New York City.
C
Royce, you're of course running for Senate, so I'd love to get your perspective on what's happening or not happening in the US Senate right now. From the shutdown to pushing back against President Trump's tariffs and everything in between. How do you see things and what can you bring to that body in order to shake it up and get it back on track?
F
Well, I just think that the United States Senate is a hollowed out body. I think it's captured by special interests and lobbies. I think that it, you know, there's kind of a running joke. You can't even really hope to run a successful United States Senate campaign without having, you know, given over to a lobby ahead of time because you need, what, 10 to $20 million? I mean, I don't, I don't really know where people think you go to get 10 to 20 million dollars without giving a piece of this country away on either side of the aisle. So I'm under no false illusion that it's gonna be an easy race to win, and I'm also under no false illusions that I can get there and change the spirit of the United States Senate. What I will do for sure, is speak the truth. And you know John Thune call. With all due respect, you know John Thune calling. This vote on the tariffs deal is the signal from the noise. We know who Chuck Schumer is. We've known who Chuck Schumer is for a long time. We have to be cognizant of our own people and the enemies within the wire, and I think it's gonna be a big deal. Look, if we don't hold in 2026, as sure as the sun will rise, Donald Trump, President Trump, will face impeachment, and they will slow down this agenda to a grinding halt, in my opinion. So I hope I can get in there and at least be a voice to support the President and what this country needs.
C
Royce, I've got to admit, you weren't very complimentary there in terms of what you think of the Senate. So why even try to join it? Why. Why take the fight there?
F
Yeah. Well, number one, the United. Despite what anybody thinks, and I. And I appreciate that the administration has. Has pushed the constitutional crisis and the unitary theory of the executive and the President, because I think we need it right now more than maybe ever in this nation's history, or at least short history. But don't. Don't be mistaken. The United States sent 100 United States senators run this country. And with all of the knife fighting and the, you know, the elbowing and. And. And, you know, wrestling, the wwe. That happens in the House. The Senate is where things get done. The Senate is where this country is. Is. Is, you know, is directed from. And, you know, they say it's the most deliberative body in the. In the world. I think it's one of the most corrupt bodies in the world. I mean, that is the bastion of the agenda that. That has broken this country. And I think I'd be the youngest United States Senator, but I think I'd probably also be one of the most novel and authentic in communicating to the voters how they should think about their United States Senators in their own respective state, which is ultimately what we need. You guys know, and I'll say it. We can't count on 10 reliable America First MAGA votes in that United States.
A
Senate on either side, which is ridiculous. I mean, if you really think about who the electorate is, that. That is not Representative Royce. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley is opening several investigations this week. The focus includes the Gates foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and the Ford Foundation. Now, these follow reports that these organizations have funded the Chinese Communist Party and its allies through grants and Direct payments. This is a big deal. What will come of it.
F
What will come of it is to be seen. I appreciate the effort, and I think we need to be. Look, I don't know how much time we have left, but I'll say this. We have to understand, and I think the highbrow society of the Republican Party and of the conservative movement wants to have a political debate. And in our formation of government and culture and politics, we want to win in the arena of public debate, in the arena of ideas. But we have to understand these people won't play by the rules, and they're pretty unabashed in their willingness to cheat. And. And so I. I tend to agree with what they call the more extreme end of the party right now that says we have to crush these people right here and right now.
E
That.
F
That sounds extreme, but, I mean, look at what they did. Look what they're willing to do. Look what they say they're willing to do. Look what they said about Charlie Kirk and his wife and their kids and how many of their, you know, leaders really denounce that? So, you know, we're in a race right now. And. And I say this to end that. We're in a race for. For political results. And it's the, you know, the sacred honor and the innovation and the speed of solving this financial crisis that we have in this country versus the nihilism and the cynicism of the socialist and communist movement. We have to understand that in the absence of us finding a way, like the great Steve Bannon says, to spread some of this wealth around, in the absence of us finding a way to do that, the communist pitch, the Marxist pitch, will win because people do have basic necessities. We have to find a way to dig deep and sort our stuff out in our movement so that we can remain a party to working class and not let the Communists have our country.
B
Royce, a quick follow up on that. You said crush these people. How do you crush them? What do you do? And when you say these people, who specifically are you referring to?
F
Well, I do think this Judiciary Committee is a good start, but I think these prosecutions should be coming fast and furious. I still have great concern about the security of our elections, even the elections that took place last night. I don't see any definitive action that's been taken, really, to secure these elections as a matter of vital national security. We're willing to run over to war every time a stone is thrown, and yet we haven't secured our own elections, by my measure, and I'M running. So I know here in Minnesota, they're not secure.
D
That's right.
F
And so I think we just have to take it more serious. But also, the populace has to understand that President Trump can't do this alone. He needs people to help. He needs people to pay attention, stay active, keep participating in your caucus and your local Republican Party, and make sure that we're bringing candidates that will actually support them. And furthermore, what I mean when I say crush them. No, first thing we have to do is be honest. We have a small lack of honesty even in our own movement. And when I say lack of honesty, I say, you know, we have to understand that the education system in this country is a matter of national security. The way that we've allowed these people, these Communists and Marxists to miseducate our youth is abhorrent. The second thing is, but this economy and the way that we deal with money, we say we have a capitalist nation, and we want to have a capitalist nation. We want to protect capitalism. But anytime you bail out the big corporations and you socialize the financial risk of a capitalist market, you have effectively undermined the capitalism and meritocracy of your own political philosophy, your own economic philosophy. So we have to remedy those things, and we have to be courageous and honest about how we go about that so we can go into these working class communities and with confidence, say, you know what? We know the Communists want to pitch you. We'll give you a bunch of free stuff. We have a better alternative right now. We're losing that battle, in my opinion.
A
Royce, we also want to get your take on the Senate filibuster. President Trump has now repeatedly called for the filibuster to go away and be abolished. However, House Speaker Mike Johnson is all for it, calling it an important safeguard from the Democrat Party's worst impulses. If the Senate filibuster goes away, do you think it messes up our system? I mean, our founding Fathers didn't put it in for no reason.
F
Yeah, I would have to part ways with the president on that. Although I would be happy. The president's a brilliant man. I would be happy to hear how the filibuster, how he feels. The filibuster is impeding his agenda in the progress of the administration right now because there may be good merit to it in the. In the immediate context, but over the long haul, like I said, the United States Senate is captured. If I'm not gonna be able to filibuster in the United States Senate, you know, again, what do the American people really want. What do they really want?
B
Hundred percent agree with that.
A
Yeah. No, I agree with you on that. Royce White, best of luck to you. Thanks for joining us today.
F
God bless you all. Thank you.
A
God bless you, too.
B
Thanks, Royce.
A
Coming up, hair loss isn't just a problem for men. It's something 60 million Americans struggle with. When we come back, a new frontier in hair restoration bringing new hope for many. We're going to have these details for you. Just ahead, Joint Base Andrews, right there sits Air Force One. We will have President Trump departing shortly. Welcome Back to American Sunrise. I'm Dr. Gina. More than 60 million Americans struggle with hair loss. And it's not just men. By age 35, about 2/3 of men experience some degree of hair loss and more than half of women face it after menopause. That's why we are so excited to partner with our new sponsors at exoceuticals. This is an amazing, innovative company. They are developing new ways to help Americans restore their hair naturally and healthily. And joining us now is the co founder of Exoceuticals, Dr. Robin L. Smith. Good morning, Doctor. First of all, I'm so excited about this. I don't want to, I don't want to. I don't want to kill the lead or bury the lead or whatever it's called that I'm supposed to know when I'm in broadcasting. But this is a really cool product. We're going to talk about it. But first, before we do, let's talk about what actually causes hair loss. Is it always hormones?
D
There are so many things from your genetics to aging to hormones, quick weight.
A
Loss, all of a sudden you lose the macro and micronutrients, surgery, pregnancies, viruses, stress.
D
Our sleep affects our hair and mechanical pulling and processing.
A
So there's many, many things that affect our strength and hair loss and hair growth. And if there are so many causes, then how do people know where to start to fix it?
D
Well, the key is it's not just one thing. Usually it's not a singular cause.
A
So you have to address things that.
D
Will support the natural hair growth system, the strength of the hair and also the scalp. Because what point is growing hair if your scalp can't hold onto it, can't.
A
Give it the nutrients, the hydration and allow it to grow and not just break off. How do you know if you really have a problem? Because like some days I get out of the shower and I look at my hairbrush and I'm like, ah, you know, and so how do you know, because I read somewhere, you know, of course, the first thing you do is go search it on ChatGPT or wherever. And I read like the average person loses like thousand hairs a day or something. Crazy. So how do you know if you really have a problem? Well, the key is that there's more growth than loss. And all of a sudden, if you.
D
Get out of the shower and there's.
A
As you said, a clump on the brush or it's on the floor of.
D
The shower, all of a sudden your hair looks thinner and you see more scalp, you know that you're getting to that point where your hair loss is more than your hair growth.
A
All right, I want to get to this because I am so excited about exosomes. Explain to us first what they are.
D
So exosomes are the way cells communicate. They're these carriers that bring information, nutrients, and really help cells talk to each other. So we can help get a cell to do things that will be important for hair growth, for skin, and really.
A
Do things that will help us be healthier as we age. Doctor, people ask me all the time, what do I do for skin care. Not saying I have the best skin in the world, but I'm okay with it. I haven't needed anything major yet. And I'm going to tell you, this is what I do. You introduced me to these products a while back and I've been using them. And I'm not lying. I get so many supports. But tell us about the newest. It's this brush. It's red light therapy for your hair. You put it right on your head. Feels really good, too. I really like it. The little things are really comfy and nice. Tell us, though, why this is so healthy and what this can do for us.

The RAV Ambassadors program is the best way to connect with RAV staff, talent and fellow patriot friends. Before we go today, it is time for our Sunnyside up and in the pan. Today, two California farmers are being hailed as heroes. After Springing into action to save more than 20 students from a school bus that caught fire before firefighters could arrive. Angel Zarco and Carlos Pereira spotted smoke coming from the bus, alerted the driver, and helped evacuate every single child on board into safety's way just moments before flames engulfed the vehicle. All of this happened.
F
Now.
A
The Demidera County Board of Supervisors honored this pair for their bravery, saying they acted to the very highest standards. Perez says he believes they were put there that day for a reason, to save those children. Here's what it all looked like.
C
They were just making sure there was.
F
No kids on top of the bus. We were just making sure that the kids were far away enough so they weren't going get hurt.
C
The men made their way through the dark smoke to reach the final children in the back row. Moments later, the bus burst into flames.
A
The bus caught fire right away.
C
Like, probably within, like, two minutes, three minutes.
F
It all happened right away.
A
Heroes run into the danger, don't they, guys? You both would have done that. I don't have a doubt in my mind.
B
Yeah, probably would.
C
No, absolutely. With kids, for sure. Kids and old people. That's where my heart is. So absolutely.
A
And pets. Right, terrence?
C
Okay, see, Dr. Gina, you went a little too far. Kids and old people for me, for sure. Pets. I have to think twice.
B
Too soon. Too soon, Gina.
A
That's where I would have run in. So that's okay. We make a great team. You get the old people, you get the kids. I'll get the dogs. All right, you guys, war room is up next. Hug your children. Love God. Go boldly now. Live the truth. We'll see you tomorrow.
B
Balance yourselves out. Balance yourselves out.
