Ahead on American Sunrise, the state of the economy. President Trump says it's going great, but do Americans feel the same way? What can we expect heading into 2026? We have analysis ahead. Plus, nix the filibuster or don't nix the filibuster. That is the question, as Shakespeare might say. President Trump urges Senate Republicans to make the move. But will they listen? Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn joins us to answer that question and a whole lot more. And later, Trump's tariff troubles, are they constitutional? The Supreme Court heard oral arguments on this case and it didn't go so well for the administration. Those stories and more as American Sunrise starts on a Thursday. It is Thursday, right? Right now. Good morning America.
A
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
C
Politics.
B
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
C
We've got you covered.
B
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
C
We have to protect the American family.
A
The American dream is still alive.
B
I'm David Brody.
C
I'm terrence.
A
And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning, everybody. I'm Dr. Gina. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David Brody. He's in Washington, D.C. and Tbates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, gentlemen.
B
Good morning, Gina.
C
T. Lady and gentleman, good morning to both of you. Hey, quick question off the top. Do either of you have plans to fly this Thanksgiving holiday? Are you guys going to Thanksgiving?
B
I have to fly tomorrow. I have to fly tomorrow.
A
Oh, boy.
B
So, yeah, wish me good luck. Thank you.
A
Yeah, I think by Thanksgiving they'll have this resolved, don't you? T. We're talking about, by the way, so our audience could be brought in on the conversation. Maybe we should do that. We're talking about the Schumer shutdown. Look at these producers. So on top of it, 36 days, 9 hours, 2 minutes, 6, 7, 8 seconds, and now they are cutting flight. So, Terrence, I think that's what you're referencing, right?
C
That's exactly what I was getting at. Here's the Associated Press headline. FAA reducing air traffic by 10% across 40 high volume markets during this current government shutdown. We're Talking about roughly 4,000 flights per day that would be impacted. This is, of course, as you mentioned, Dr. Gina, the longest government shutdown ever. But at issue is air traffic controllers who are working unpaid and have been since October 1st. Some of them are now starting to call out and it's becoming a safety issue. David, you say you're Flying tomorrow. Good luck, my friend. Good. L. That's when these cuts are supposed to take effect, is starting tomorrow. Go ahead.
B
No, I know. Look, I think this is going to be wrapped up within the next 48 to 72 hours, maybe by Monday. We're going to ask Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, who will be here in a moment. She's got a lot more intel than I do. But let me just say this. It went from the shutdown, which is like, okay, a few hundred thousand federal workers, then it went to 42 million with snap food stamp benefits, and now it's all of us. Let's be honest. If it's air traffic control and if it's air traffic specifically, folks, that's everybody. That's you, me, and liberals and Democrats, conservatives and Republicans. It don't matter. So this is the end of the shutdown. It has to happen. It will happen. And we're gonna get some more. Well, like I said, I think it's gonna happen by Monday. I think it's gonna happen over the weekend. I really do that. That's my sense of it. But look, you've got fatigued air traffic controllers. Oh, yeah. I feel comfortable going to the airport with fatigued air traffic controllers.
A
And morale matters.
C
Who haven't gotten paid and who are probably po'.
A
Exactly. Morale matters. There's a psychological. Well, that's a little bit scary. I mean, this is a battle of wills. And I'll tell you something, if there's one will I do not ever want to go up against, it is President Donald Trump. I think the Democrats better get their things in order.
C
Hey, Doctor, if I can just answer your question off the top. I'm sorry, David. And then we'll go to the Bible verse. Are you asked if I don't think it's going to be done by Thanksgiving, even if the government does reopen here in the next couple of days, Remember, the current continuing resolution is only till November 20th, 21st. So if there's no deal reached, if there's no real negotiation before the 21st, then we very well may be back at this same position after the 21st. That is my. You don't think. Okay, that's my concern.
B
No, no. Let's ask Tennessee Senator Marshall Blackburn. We got to get to her. But no, I mean, at that point, they're going to just change the date and they'll extend it. They're talking about extending to January. We'll talk about it.
A
Okay, well, we're going to talk about the Bible first for just a minute because no matter how chaotic our lives are, we can always pause for this. John 8:29 and he who sent me is with me. The father has not left me alone, for I always do those things that please him. Well, that should be the goal anyway. Absolutely. For sure. Thank God there's grace and thank God we're forgiven. President Trump addressed the American Business Forum on the one year anniversary of winning his second term in office. If you missed it, here's part of his speech. Take a look.
B
I'm pleased to report that today the United States has the strongest economy, the strongest borders, the strongest military, the strongest friendships and the strongest spirit of any nation anywhere. We have the greatest economy right now. A lot of people don't see that, but if you look at what's happening with all the factories, AI auto plants all over the country being built, that if you would have thought about that two or three years ago, you would have said it was the opposite. They were all leaving. Now they're all coming in, they're all coming back and then some. And I think that we can honestly say, and I think you're going to see it even more so over the next year, 12 months, that this is the golden age of America. This is the golden age.
A
Good friend of the show. I don't think I've ever been burning so badly with so many questions for you as I am this morning, Senator. I could barely contain myself in the, in the laps before the show. I was like, I want to ask you this, I want to ask you that. But you know, here we are in this shutdown and as I said, if it were my will against President Trump's, he's going to win every time, that guy, I mean, he's got a will of steel. Look at what he's been through. We've now been through this shutdown for this inordinate, the longest ever amount of time. Senator, when is this resolved and who wins?
D
We hope that the American people are going to end up being the winners and we hope that we get this resolved very soon. Working, trying to find a date to extend it to, as you all mentioned, and there is a discussion about pushing it into January. I've recommended that we put the date for the CR past the State of the Union address so that President Trump knows he's going to be able to get up address the American people and we're not going to be in the middle of another budget or shutdown fight. The good thing is our Appropriations Committee in the Senate has already cleared every one of the approach bills and Three of those have come off the Senate floor. Those are ready to go into a conference committee with the House and get signed into law. And the good thing is, the more of those approach bills we pass, the smaller a CR is, because the goal is to end the Schumer shutdown. It is to make certain we get off the Biden budget numbers and onto a Republican and Trump budget, and that we're able to begin to meet the mandate the American people called for, which is to reduce the size, the reach and the scope of the federal government.
B
Senator, you said very soon. What is your. Can you give us some sort of sense? What does very soon mean? Is that a couple days, a week, two weeks, what do you think?
D
We're talking about hours and days. Our Appropriations Committee, which is a lot, led by Susan Collins and Leader Thune, have been working to get those bills ready to go into conference and put those onto a clean CR package, which bear in mind, David, these numbers that we're talking about, these are numbers that the Democrats have voted for five times. And because they have Trump derangement syndrome, they have voted against continuing with the Biden numbers. There's nothing to negotiate in the CR because there were no subtractions or additions onto it. It was a clean continuation. So getting this package ready to go and getting Senate Democrats to agree to work on this so that we are back on a budget. And that's important. When you talk about the military and you talk about contracting, it is important to be on a budget number and not on a CR number.
C
Senator Blackburn, I'd like to ask you what you believe has changed for Senate Democrats that would encourage them now to vote for a clean CR and move this forward. What is different today, that was different two weeks ago in terms of not only the CR but also what has happened publicly. And we know about the airports, we know about SNAP and all of that, but from a Democratic perspective, what has changed?
D
Well, Terence, they said they were going to get past the no Kings rallies on October 18. Then it was let us get past November 1, then it was let us get past the elections. And now they're saying they're ready to. To talk as you talk with Democrats. And of course, they're not talking publicly, but as you talk with them, you hear them express frustration with the way this shutdown has been carried out. And, you know, there's polling that says blame Republicans. There's also polling that is blaming a lot of Democrats, especially when you look at the fact that the afge, the largest federal employee union, is siding With Republicans in this. They want the shutdown to end. The air traffic controllers union, they have sided with Republicans, end this shutdown. That is what people want to see. And as I talk to Tennesseans, they want to see the shutdown ended. They want the federal government to be responsible. They think it's time to reduce federal employment and to reduce what the federal government spends. They like the fact that President Donald Trump is sending responsibility, power, authority back to the states and giving the states the lead in education, health care, other components that never should have been in Washington D.C. in the first place.
A
Senator, there's a lot of talk. President Trump has said that he would like to end the Senate filibuster. This is the question I wanted to ask you before the show, but then I'm like, no, I'll ask you on the show. Want to get your take on that? Because we've had, we've had a lot of people weigh in on this, other lawmakers, and most of them, it sounds like, are opposed. What's your opinion?
D
We know that there is always frustration from the executive branch with the fact that the Senate holds the 60 vote filibuster. We also know that if the Democrats ended the filibuster that they would add puerto Rico and D.C. estates. That gives you four more senators, probably going to be Democrat senators. We also know that they would pack the Supreme Court. We also know they would federalize elections. So it is important. The filibuster has played an important role in allowing the minority party to stop bad legislation. And we did that as you saw, a Joe Biden presidency, a Barack Obama presidency. So I don't know exactly what the resolution is going to be on that. I don't know if there is going to be a change of the number that you have to see. There's a lot of discussion around this. Everyone is frustrated with the fact that the Democrats have continued to vote no more than a dozen times. They have voted to keep the government shut down. They have voted to see people suffer and have even admitted they knew people were suffering, but they felt like it gave them political leverage. That should be disgusting to people. They have planned for this shutdown. Chuck Schumer had a war room about this shutdown for months and they wanted to do it so they could include illegal aliens in government health care. And as you all know, the Democrats have said since the inception of Obamacare, it was a step on the path to government controlled health care.
A
Absolutely.
D
So all of this fuss has been over keeping the Biden COVID 19 credit bonus that went on in 2021, where they removed the income caps and people making as much as a half million dollars a year could go to the Obamacare exchange. They could get a taxpayer subsidy that paid for 80 to 90% of their health insurance on the Obamacare exchange. And the taxpayer was footing the bill for wealthy individuals.
C
Yeah.
D
And about making another giant leap toward government controlled health care, that socialist health care system. They're obsessed with it.
A
Yeah. Well, Senator, we're glad that you are obsessed with holding the line and keeping them honest and keeping our nation free. Thank you so much for being here with us this morning.
C
I appreciate you, Blackburn.
A
All right. Coming up, we check out the hottest headlines from the RAP newsroom with T. Bates. And later, Democrats got sweeping victories in Tuesday's elections. What exactly does this mean for the midterms next year? We're going to have analysis ahead on American Sunrise.

Happening today, the Federal Aviation Administration is expected to announce which airports will see a 10% reduction in flights. Excuse me, Economy As a result of ongoing government shutdowns, the flight cuts are set to go into effect tomorrow. Fewer flights at 40, what the FAA calls high value markets are meant to keep the airspace at the country's busier airport safe. As air traffic controllers and other airport officials continue to work through the government shutdown without getting paid as a result. Staffing issues is a concern, with Experts predicting about 4,000 flights a day are going to be affected if you plan to fly in the next couple of weeks. You're also warned to get to the airport earlier than normal as lines in some places have been extraordinarily long. Now to an update on Tuesday's deadly UPS plane crash that has now claimed the lives of at least 12 people. Officials warn that the death toll could climb as coroners are working to identify the remains that have been found so far. They say the conditions of some of the victims board some of the victims bodies. Excuse me, may make that task more difficult. Meantime, new surveillance video shows the plane barreling through businesses at the end of the Runway as its wing caught fire during takeoff. National Transportation Safety Board investigators are on site and have reportedly recovered the cargo plane's black boxes and including the cockpit voice recorder and the flight data recorder as the investigation and damage assessments continue. Louisville's Muhammad Ali International Airport says it has now reopened two of its three runways. Passenger flights to and from Louisville are back underway, albeit under a major backlog and delays. That's a quick check of your headlines. You'll, of course, get more headlines coming your way in just a minute. But now also, don't forget, you can click the QR code. First, though, Tracy, what's a quick check of our forecast? It was in the 70s yesterday here in the Denver area and I was so happy. I was running around smiling all day long.
F
Yeah, you know, you and most of the country are feeling temperatures still pretty mild. So we've got about one or two more days of those mild temperatures before we're really starting to cool down. And we've kind of been in this similar setup all week with these systems moving across the northern tier of the country. So still the same areas dealing with rain. So I wanted to do something a little bit different, kind of show you what's been going on in all of these hotspots. So out across the Pacific Northwest, it's been the rain, but it's also been the high surf, the coastal flooding with the king tides and the onshore winds. You can see those waves getting rather aggressive, causing some coastal flooding concerns along with 7 inches of rain in some areas across the Pacific Northwest. Areas of the Northeast dealt with some storms. They also dealt with some strong gusty winds. And Terrence, this is going to to be the same situation as we round out the work week. So still both the active spots in the country.
C
All right. And looking forward to your hometown forecast coming up on our next hour, folks, you can of course go to our social media sites, Getter, Twitter, all kinds of stuff, as well as YouTube. Log on right now, get your hometown forecast, let us know where you are and Tracy will hook you up. Up next though, how concerned should Republicans be about yesterday's election? While developing ahead, a deep dive into the Democrat victories and what it could mean for next year's midterms. First, though, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date in 1860 that Abraham Lincoln was elected the 16th President of the United States states. Honest Abe, as he was nicknamed, became the first Republican to win the presidency. But he only received 40% of the popular vote. However, that was enough to beat three other candidates in the field. By the time Lincoln was inaugurated, seven states had already seceded and the Confederate states were established. In 1864, he won re election and then in 1865, he was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth at Ford's Theater. All of this happened shortly after the Civil War ended. More American Sunrise coming your way in two minutes.
B
It's kind of a cool shot. See the tree there on the truck? That's the Rockefeller Christmas tree. It's going to be in New York City very soon, but you're looking at the Troy kind of Albany area. That's where it's coming from this year. So there you go. That's different and new and we like like that. Welcome back everybody to American Sunrise. So look, if you believe in faith, family and freedom, then you're going to want to hear about amac, the association of a Mature American Citizens. We talk about them all the time and rightly so. AMAC is the conservative alternative to aarp. And they built a growing community of patriots who want to preserve what's best about this country. So members get discounts on travel, insurance, prescriptions, helpful resources and the popular AMAC magazine full of thoughtful pro America content. Sorry, Mom. Donnie. That keeps you informed. Right now you can join and save up to 33% with a five year membership. That's just $1.20 a month. AMAC is more than a membership, though. It's a movement. It's really a voice. It's a way to take action and stand for the values that matter most. So here's what you do. You go to amac, US Sunrise and you become a member today. So stand up, stay informed, join amac, and don't support Mamdani. All right, for more, let's bring in the editor in chief of AMAC Newsline. That would be Shane Harris. Shane, good to see you. We know that you don't support Mamdani. We don't need to say that, obviously. Let's talk about the off year elections though. This past Tuesday night. Republicans need to take a step back and see the results clearly as a warning sign, not a defeat. Well, it was a defeat, but more like a warning sign. So what do AMAC members need to take away from the results Tuesday night?
G
Yeah, so look, I think there's no sugar coating it. Right. Like Republicans, they came out, they performed worse than expected. Worse. Worse. But at the same time, I think it's worth saying and repeating that, that there shouldn't be an overreaction. Okay? There shouldn't be. We need to throw out our entire message and abandon everything. Because that's been, you know, some.
A
Yes, thank you.
G
The linked on the right.
A
Wait, Shane, I just want to, I want to say, I want to emphasize that because we are hearing all over the place. I heard it this morning on my way to work. Republicans won't learn. They need to moderate. They've handed over the party to these crazy, you know, MAGA people and you're exactly right. Continue. But that's such an important point. Cuz that's exactly what the left is doing with it.
B
That was just a Gina interlude in the middle of your question. Please, go ahead.
G
No, no, no problem at all. No problem at all. I think, I think that's absolutely right. And we all need to take a step back and ask ourselves, okay, what actually happened here? Well, let's consider it. The Democrat candidate won in New York City. No surprise. The Democrat candidate won in New Jersey, where only one Republican has won statewide since the turn of the century. Okay. No surprise. The Democrat candidates won in Virginia, a state where Glenn Youngkin became the first Republican elected statewide there ever since 2009, just back in 2021. Okay. Not all that surprising. Was it a great night for the Republicans? No, it was not. But, but also to your point, you know, the, the Never Trump crowd, they want to use this as an excuse to attack President Trump. Attack maga. Well, I didn't see the candidates in Virginia and New Jersey running around talking about President Trump all the time. And in hindsight, it looks like that might have been a pretty big mistake. We actually saw the candidates in New Jersey and Virginia Perform worse than President Trump performed last year. Remember, when President Trump's on the ballot, what were we talking about? Oh, it looks like Republicans have some momentum in Virginia and New Jersey, and now we see that momentum reversed. Why could it possibly be because those candidates tried to run away from President Trump? And President Trump remains the biggest and most important turnout tool for Republicans nationwide. And so I think as we're looking at these elections, we shouldn't give into this instinct to just say, oh, my gosh, you know, the world is on fire. We need to toss out everything and completely recalibrate our message. No, we need to return back to what was working. And what was working was what President Trump ran on in 2024. Affordability, secure the border, common sense in our schools. And I think if Republicans do that, they can be in good shape.
A
I think you're right. You know, these are blue states, as you pointed out at the end of the day, and they delivered blue results. I don't know what you expect, but what does this mean for us going into the midterms? Because I think that's where our focus needs to be. Now. We don't want to panic on the one hand, but this can be a motivator, right?
G
Yes, absolutely. There shouldn't be any whistling past the graveyard on the other side of things. And I think one thing that Republicans really need to focus on. So in 2024, the narrative was that Democrats really struggled with young men. Right. Republicans won huge numbers of young men, which is something that we hadn't really seen before. Well, what we're seeing now in 2025 is that Republicans are really struggling with young women. So we saw in New York, for instance, something like 80% of women 18 to 29 voted for Imam Donnie. Similar margins in New Jersey and in Virginia. And so if you're Republicans, it's great that you're winning young men, but really, you don't want to be losing these massive margins with young women either. And what I believe about the Republican platform is that it offers something for everybody. You know, prosperity, a chance to live the American dream, to raise a family, to have a good job that pays for your needs and helps you save for retirement. And so I think if you're Republicans, that should be a big area of focus. What is our message to young women? To start to bring them back into the party.
A
How fascinating a point you made, Shane, when you think about the fact that Erica Kirk has now become the leader of tpusa. Yeah, wait just a minute. That could be interesting.
G
Yeah, absolutely.
B
Shane we appreciate your time. We're glad you're not related to Kamala Harris. Shane Harris is with us. Thank you so much.
A
All he did was come on a show.
B
What am I doing? Okay. Hopefully you'll come back, Shane. Okay?
G
Absolutely. Anytime.
B
All right, Good. Amac usunrise. All right, there you go. Coming up, what foods can help lower the risk for getting cancer? That is a list you're going to want to hear about. And it's next on American Sunrise. Back in a moment, everybody.

A
All right, welcome back to America's sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us. It's time now for today's health news. It is sponsored by the Wellness company and under the microscope today, some foods that can help lower cancer risks. Doctors recommending these foods that could lower your risk for cancer. The first one is berries as they have lots of antioxidants and flavonoids which are anti inflammatory and can reduce stress. And also there are some studies that show that people who ate 54 grams of soy per day had an 11% drop in cancer risk. I'd like to see that study, frankly, just being really honest with you guys here because everything I've read about soybeans and the way they affect your bioestrogens or estrogen, I don't know the word. I can't think of the word right now. I'll get it for you. But yeah, there's some dangers there. So be careful on that one. Do your own research on everything I say. Another one is tomatoes, tomatoes rich in antioxidants. Those can lower the risk of cancer. Finally, we have a drink and that is green tea. This one I absolutely Believe in. I'm doing a ton of research. My dog has lymphoma right now, so I'm giving him green tea and all of these things. But the most important thing, avoid sugar. Cancer feeds on sugar. Can't survive in an alkaline environment. Can't survive in a non sugar environment. So you want to starve those cancer cells and feed your healthy cells. A lot of people resorting to carnivore these days in cancer and a lot of people using Benbendazole and Ivermectin. And if you want to do that, check out the Wellness Company's website because they have all of that stuff for you. A new administration in Washington D.C. has brought a lot of positive changes when it comes to fixing our broken healthcare system. Reality though, there's only so much the government can do. If we really want to make America healthy again, it has to start at home with each of us. That's where the Wellness Company comes in. You see and hear from their doctors all the time on this network. You know that products are the gold standard when it comes to keeping your family safe and healthy. The Wellness Company makes sure you're prepared for whatever happens with their series of prescription med kits. These kits have an assortment of life saving medications and guidebooks to assist in the proper use of the meds in the kit. Additionally, the Wellness Company offers a variety of products from parasite cleanses to methylene blue to weight loss. So much more. These can all help you stay happy and healthy and live a longer, more satisfying, more well rested life. Make America healthy Again starts at home. Do your part to protect the health of yourself and your family. Go to TWC Health RAV. Give it an order. That's TWC Health RAV. Use the promo code RAV. It'll save you 10%. Yeah, you know they can prescribe a lot of these things. A lot of cancer remedies. The traditional. David, you know this. You've been through it with your family. A lot of the traditional wisdom, not so much anymore. I get nervous even when we talk about because a lot of the cancer protocol I'm seeing out there says avoid fruit because it can translate to sugar in your blood and then cancer feeds on it. So there's a lot of new information and it's exciting times. But the Wellness Company is a great.
B
Source for all of that, no doubt about it. Speaking of information, I've got Google. So while you were thinking of like what is that term? Is it bioidentical estrogen? Is that what it is? I don't know.
A
It's phytoestrogens. I knew it would come to my brain. Phytoestrogens. And, you know, here's another trick. You know how, like at our age, you start kind of forgetting things? Jason taught me this.
B
I know that.
A
He said, if you tell yourself I'm gonna remember it, you remember it. And that's happened. It's really cool.
B
Okay, well, what's your name? I'm sorry. Okay, I'll remember it. Okay. President Trump addressed the American Business Forum down in Miami on Wednesday. He continued blaming the Democrats for the shutdown and putting illegal aliens first. Take a look. Yet as we speak, the Democrats in Congress are trying to put all of this progress at risk and drag us back to the Biden policies of soaring prices, crushing energy costs, massive spending, open borders. Let the world come into our country from prisons and from mental institutions. Let them pour in and rampant inflation. That's what Biden gave us, all of those things. With the reckless Democrat shutdown, virtually every Democrat in Congress has voted to hold the American people hostage in an effort to extort hundreds of billions of dollars in new spending. They're demanding free health care for illegal aliens that just came into our country from prisons and from mental institutions and drug dealers and drug addicts. And they want to give them $1.5 trillion in giveaways that would turbocharged rapid inflation again, as they did the first time.
E
You remember that just a couple of.
B
Years ago for disastrous years we just had. They were the worst years. All right, for more, let's bring in rav, Chief White House correspondent Brian Glenn. Brian, the president also said the shutdown is hurting the GOP more than the Democrats. That made things a bit complicated here for what the party's going to do forward, though, we heard at the top of the show some breaking news. Senator Marsha Blackburn on our air said she believes that we're talking hours, maybe days, but hours even until the shutdown is over. Good morning. What do you got, sir?
C
Good morning. I agree with you, and I think we said this last week, that I thought it would be resolved either Wednesday or Thursday or this week.
E
So maybe I'm on point with that.
C
And Dr. Gina, I want to double down on the we must put all.
E
Gas, no break on the MAGA agenda. Don't pull back.
C
Don't let any of these people on the sidelines say that these policies aren't what's best. And that's not what people want. Those, those election turnout in those states of Virginia and New Jersey and New York city were to be expected. Now, in terms of the shutdown, this is something that. Dr. Gina, we talked offline just momentarily. The psychological effect of the shutdown is tremendous. And what I mean by this, I've been about six different airports over the last week or so talking to TSA employees, talking to special security they have to work, some of these escorts that I'm involved in.
E
And they say, look, the toll that.
C
This is causing families, the fraction the not being able to pay bills, the marriage, the tension between marriages, basically saying, look, you know, maybe you should go get another job. Maybe this isn't the industry for you. So I think there is a huge toll that this shutdown is taxing the American people. Now we need to get back to work. And I think this is going to happen here in the next couple hours or next couple days, but we got to get this government open. This lies fully on the Democrats for this, for the damage they're doing to this country right now.
A
And right before the holidays. It's especially tragic, I think, also, Brian.
E
Right before the holidays.
A
Right before the holidays. And I do hope that if the Democrats are so intent on keeping this shutdown done for so long, then are they going to be willing to have the conversation about some cuts and privatizing some of this so some of these jobs don't just go away when the government decides to make them, make them go away. Right. So it's going to be. It's going to be interesting, Brian. There are a lot of heavy conversations that need to take place. I really hope the Republicans will pivot to some of that narrative. Brian Glenn, we are short on time today, but we always appreciate yours. Thank you so much.
E
All good?
B
Thank you. Thank you, Brian.
A
All right, coming up, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene entered the lion's den that is known as the View. Did she slay? Oh, my goodness. That is an understatement. We have highlights for you next here on American Sunrise.
H
It is time to stay awake, not woke. And who added a jolt to yesterday's morning? Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene when she entered the spider's web known as the View. MTG had some choices.
A
I yelled at Mike Johnson last week.
F
On our GOP conference call.
H
By the way, some choice words for Congress. Then she backed President Trump. And Joy Behar couldn't help herself. Take a look at this.
A
I yelled at Mike Johnson last week.
F
On our GOP conference called.
A
By the way, I'm missing the call today. It's going on right now. And I hope that Mike Johnson is finally Giving a single health care policy because the country deserves it and it.
F
Shouldn'T be a secret.
A
And I shouldn't have to go into.
F
A SCIF to go find our Republican health insurance plan.
A
There is no plan.
C
You know what?
A
You want to know something that I.
F
Believe is the truth?
A
There's a lot of ideas, there's a.
D
Lot of bills, but there's no consensus.
A
And I think that's a failure.
F
I do.
H
Standing up, speaking out and proving being woke doesn't mean being right. Let's bring in Dr. Gina David Terrence for more. David, I know you were pretty fired up about this interview. What are your thoughts?
B
Well, you know, I don't. Fire it up. Yeah, sure. Okay. I guess a couple of things. First of all, kudos to Marjorie Taylor Greene for going on the View. That's the headline. Because we need more conversations like that. She's absolutely right. And I thought she handled it beautifully. I really do. I thought it was great. I would really like to see more of that type of conversation and not have everybody defined by clips. Look, they do it to us all the time, right? On this show. They take a clip, right? And then all of a sudden, we're the devil. What's that?
A
Every day. Every day.
B
Yeah, every day, as we can attest to. But anyhow, so good for her. Now, having said that, I mean, there were a couple of things I disagreed that. Well, first of all, she didn't trash President Trump, not that we were expecting that to happen. So I'm glad she didn't play into any of their stuff. I thought, quite frankly, they were respectful towards her as well. They asked the questions, the QAnon stuff. They did all their stuff, but they did it in a respectful tone. Let's just have respectful dialogue. She said some stuff about Mike Johnson I didn't agree with. I think she played the moral equivalency card on Israel and Gaza that I didn't agree with. But that's nitpicking. Bottom line is I'm glad she did it. That's what we need to see. And, you know, as you guys know, I was on Meet the press for 15 years or so, and then Trump came onto the scene and things changed because, you know, we're gonna go into our silos, if you will. We're gonna go into our separate cocoons, and they're not gonna wanna have free dialogue and debate. And that was sad to see. So I hope we get back to what she's doing there on the View.
C
It was civil discourse, which I think was A great thing. I think it's good for our country. Not just good for this conversation, it's good for our country. Someone in our chat just now, though, mentioned, oh, this is her first step in beginning to run for presidency. And I'm not going to lie, as I was listening to that, I was thinking, of course, okay, this is kind of presidential. So I'm not the only person that saw that. Okay. Because I'm kind of questioning myself, thinking, okay, am I reading too much into this? So I'm not the only person who kind of saw that, or at least the thought crossed their mind. Dr. Gina.
A
Yeah, I tell you what, I loved this interview. First of all, I like her. I just think she's just ba. Right. Secondly, I don't always agree with her, but I don't have to always agree with her. What I love about her is she will have the conversation with anyone. She has it in a polite, civil discourse way. Terrence, this is what you and I have been complaining about from the get go of this show. I remember it was one of our very first conversations, is why can't we just talk about what we disagree about in a diplomatic, civil way? She does that. She brings that to the table. She's willing to criticize her own. David Brody and I have. We disagree on this. And that's okay because David Brody and I always have civil discourse. It's never been uncivil. I love that she took that to them. I love that she literally forced their hand in civility. When have you ever seen the women on the View be civil to somebody as conservative as Marjorie Taylor Greene? She delivered that day, you guys. I think it was one of the best interviews I've ever seen in my life. I don't think I'm exaggerating. Did I agree with absolutely everything she said? Who cares what I agree with? We are not a monolithic party. Right?
B
That's right.
A
And so I am glad if I disagreed with maybe some of the things she said. But I love the way she presented it. I love the way she brought them into the conversation. She invited them to be women, to be real women, to stand up for what they believe. But to do so civilly and to do so respectfully. I thought it was a beautiful, defining moment, not just for Marjorie Taylor Greene. I thought it was a defining moment for the Republican Party. And yet, yes, Terrence, I think it puts her in that box.
B
Can I just say something? I just wanna say that I thought what she did was masterful. She said, look, you guys are victims. And I'm a victim of the political industrial complex is what she said. I mean, she's 100% correct. And they listened to her like, preach, sister, preach.
A
They didn't know this. They didn't know this. This is stuff that the four of us here on this television program and almost our entire audience knew. But the women on the View were shocked to find out. Oh, my gosh. You mean we've only ever heard clips of you looking like a crazy banshee? Because that's how the media depicts you. Wow. Maybe we should take a little bit of a closer look, because you're making sense.
B
Listen, find out what you have in common with someone and let that be a bond that can get you to a better place. To a liberal. Right? I have nothing in common with a liberal. I could. Oh, my gosh, please. But you know what? Are you a Jets fan? You want to go to a Jets game? Yeah, let's go Jets.
A
Yeah.
B
You know what I'm saying?
A
Do you agree we should have clean air? Do you like dogs? I mean, there are a lot of things that we can all agree on and build from there to have conversations so that the politically elite don't own us forever.
C
Yeah, we're closing the marketplace of ideas.
A
This is the most important fact we have to drive home is we cannot let the political class continue to own us and dictate our being on opposite sides and hating each other.
H
Have to continue.
C
Emily, another thing. No, I'm just joking.
H
We're saying we have to continue the debate. All right, guys, great discussion as always. Coming up, one British university is putting a violence trigger warning on all things the Bible. What was their reasoning? We have this shocking story next on American Sunrise.
B
God bless the usa.
E
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
C
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's now time for our moment of Faith, which is brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible in focus today, one university in the UK is placing a trigger warning on the Bible. The University of Sheffield reportedly placed a trigger warning on the Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, along with the story in Genesis for graphic bodily injury and sexual violence. Christians, of course, slamming the move while the university saying that it did it to help deal with certain topics. For more, let's bring in evangelist, pastor and the founder of Revival today, Jonathan Shuttleworth. Jonathan, how ridiculous is this? That's the first thing that comes to my mind. Typically, I try to be a little bit more diplomatic, but ridiculous is the first word that comes to mind.
D
Mind.
C
When I Read this.
I
Not to flip it, but after talking to you during the commercial break, tell me what you feel about this article. I bet you you have a better, a better set of thoughts than me.
C
You know, and I, and I said so, folks, I was telling you, Pastor Shuttlesworth, that, that when we get in these segments that I feel like I need to preach and I want to yield to him. But when it comes to people questioning things like the Bible and saying, oh, it's triggering, I almost feel like it's a repudiation, a direct repudiation of the Bible and that it's an excuse or people are using these sorts of things as an excuse to try to question the Bible as opposed to diving headfirst into the Bible and simply taking the lessons and, and the morals that are trying to be passed along. That's what immediately comes to my mind. But this ain't about me. This is about you, sir.
I
I, I, I agree with you. And you know what? The, I don't get where they get sexual violence from Cain and Abel and the crucifixion, but the Bible is triggering. The Bible demands change. The Bible definitely doesn't line up with what they're trying to turn Britain into, that's for sure. And, but it's one little tiny university. I'm glad people realize that the Bible's powerful and it really is. It's not going to line up. They should put a bunch of trigger warnings in England and in Europe on the Bible because it's going to tell you the opposite of everything they told you in public school for 12 years.
C
And I would say if there's a trigger warning, it should trigger you to be more righteous. Those are the lessons. That's consistent, that's a consistent theme across my Bible is righteousness.
I
It's a great book. It is a life changing book. That's why it's interesting. Like you take California or under the guise of free speech, they want to make pornography available for fourth graders. But the same people want to ban the Bible. Bible, it tells you how powerful of a book that is. You cannot turn a nation communist or Islamic and let people read that book. And that anytime you hear people have an issue with the Bible, that's the issue is the Bible sets people free. It sets people free from government tyranny. You don't need the government to be your healer or your provider or your protector or your savior. It points you to Jesus Christ and lets you know that you can call on him and all the things the government's promising you. He's already done for you.
C
Amen. We'll have to leave the conversation there. See, look, you still got me to preach, even though I wanted to use it. You're a good preacher. Oh, well, I won't go that far. I won't go that far. But it's always good to talk to you, my friend. You make my days a little bit better. Every time we join, we spend some time together. Good to see you.
I
You too, brother.
C
All right. We'll talk soon. And folks, once again, don't forget to tune in to revival today this Sunday morning. It's gonna be at 9am right here on RAV. We are back with the second hour of American Sunrise right after this.
B
Coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise, the not so friendly skies. The FAA announcing it would be cutting flights by 10% at 40 major airports across the country because of the government shutdown. How is it going to affect you? Well, we're going to have those details straight ahead. Plus, Gavin Newsom strikes back. California voters approve Prop 50, which allows Democrats to draw up a new congressional map in the the Golden State, what it could mean for control of the US House. And later, a tale of two Cheneys. We examine the legacy left behind by the late former Vice President Dick Cheney, who passed away on Tuesday. By the way, the legacy, well, it's complicated to say the least. Those stories and more as a second hour of American Sunrise starts on a Thursday right now. Good morning, America.
A
Welcome to American Sunrise.
A
And I'm Dr. Tina.
B
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from DC shutdown DC let's bring in Dr. G and Wes Palm T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning to both of you. So Marsha Blackburn, clearly making news at the top of our show, saying it's going to be hours to end the shutdown, possibly days. Hours or days. I mean, that's news. And of course, the FAA stuff going on with the flights. I've got to fly tomorrow. Let's not bury the lead. It's all about me and I got to fly tomorrow. Gina, darn it.
A
You're gonna be okay, David Brody. No, I mean, it is a concern, honestly, I think about the morale I think about the psychology that Brian brought up. You know, they're having problems at home. They can't pay their bills. I mean, this is a big deal. But, you know, here are the Democrats sitting there saying, you know, in their complacency, right? This is all fine. This is all fine that the government is shut down. So, so why not have discussion right now, right here, right now, if this is all fine, let's privatize all this. So these people are working for private companies so that politicians who continue to take their paychecks can't shut off the paychecks any longer of those who are federally employed. Let's have that conversation right now while the fire's hot.
B
Excuse me, Terrence, can we just have a quick conversation? Gina? We knew she would bring up private privatization of the fa. You knew that was going to happen. Of tsa. I'm sorry, Gina, are you listening? But yeah, go ahead, please.
C
No, I was just going to say I hear applause at airports across the country right now as TSA workers are like, please, somebody pay me. Let's privatize this. So, guys, look to that point happening today. The Federal Aviation Administration is expected to announce which airports are going to see a 10% reduction in flights as a result of this ongoing government shutdown that we've been talking about. The flight cuts are set to go into effect tomorrow. Fewer flights at what the FAA calls high volume markets are meant to keep the airspace at the country's busier airport safe as air traffic controllers and other airport officials continue to work through this government shutdown without getting paid as a result. Staffing issues is a concern, with experts predicting that thousands, we're Talking up to 4,000 a day flights would be canceled if you plan to fly in the next couple of weeks. You're also warned to get to the airport a little earlier than normal as lines in some places have been extraordinarily long. Now to an update on Tuesday's deadly UPS plane crash that has now claimed the lives of at least 12 people. Let's check out some of the new video that's coming into our newsroom. Officials warn that the death toll could climb. Coroners are working to identify the remains that have been found so far and say that the conditions of some of the victims bodies may make that task that much more difficult. Meantime, new surveillance video shows the plane barreling through businesses at the end of the Runway as its wing caught fire during takeoff. Look at that blaze. National Transportation Safety Board investigators are on site and have reportedly recovered the cargo plane's black boxes, which includes the cockpit voice recorder and the flight data recorder. As the investigation and damage assessment continue. Louisville's Muhammad Ali International Airport says it has now reopened two of its three runways. Passenger flights to and from Louisville are back underway, albeit under a major backlog and delays. Newly elected New York Mayor Zoran Mandami's election is already taking big bite out of the Big Apple. Exhibit one is New York City Fire Commissioner Robert Tucker resigning on Wednesday, saying that he's concerned about Mamdani's anti Israel hostility. Tucker is described as a proud Jewish philanthropist and a businessman. He's only been on the job about a year now and will officially step down December 19th. Responding to the news, the incoming mayor saying, quote, I'm willing to consider anyone to work in my city hall so long as they are committed to working for my administration and delivering on an agenda lower cost for New Yorkers in the most expensive city in the United States. Stay tuned for more on that. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Meteorologist Tracy Anthony standing by. Tracy, in the break, we were talking about the northern lights. I'm looking forward to you schooling me on the northern lights because when I think of the northern lights, northern lights, I think of Iceland. That would be the one place to go see them, but they can be seen here in the United States.
F
Yeah. I've got a really cool photo at the end of these hometown forecasts. So let me get through a couple of these cities and then you and I are going to chat about these northern lights. They're on my bucket list. I haven't seen them with my own eyes. But Jackson, Wyoming, you're dealing with some snow across the high country, winter weather advisories in place throughout the day. Today, you clean clear out for the weekend. Atlanta, pretty calm, quiet and warm. But those temperatures are going to cool down into next week. And overnight temperatures dropping to the 20s. We're going to be about 20 to 30 degrees below average into next week. The Twin Cities will feel that cool down as well with some rain working through Saturday. They could even have their first snow of the season. So those are kind of a few of the spots across the country that have some active weather into the week. But this is Hennepin County, Minnesota. This is actually south of the Twin Cities. You can kind of see it off in the distance. So, Terrence, think of this. This was taken with a drone, but you still have to get through the city lights. And it was still this visible. Now I grew up right around Minneapolis and I never have seen these. So I'm bummed I missed out.
C
Okay, so Minnesota, that's a lot cheaper than Iceland to go see the Northern lights. So I am all in. By the way, Minnesota is way too cold. I had a job interview once in Duluth, Minnesota. The moment I got off the plane, I knew I couldn't hack it. It was way too cold. Anyway, another story for another day. Tracy, good to see you.
F
You, too.
C
All right. And again, you see there at the bottom of your screen, go ahead and scan that QR code and join our friends over at Weather nation. All right, let's get you over to David. David Brody, good morning.
B
Good morning. T. Bates. All right, we're going to get to the government shutdown in a moment, but we have some new developments on President Trump's crime crackdown. This morning, trio of North Carolina lawmakers penned a letter to Democrat Governor Josh Stein to deploy the National Guard in Charlotte saying violent crime in the city has become, quote, increasingly dire. Joining us now is one of the authors of that letter. That would be our good friend, North Carolina Congressman Mark Harris. Congressman, good morning to you. We will get to the government shutdown in just moments. But curious if you can tell us a little bit about what's happening in Charlotte and why the governor is refusing to send in the National Guard. Good morning to you.
I
Well, good morning, David. It's great to see you and to be with you all this morning. Yes. This is something that is, we feel like is a definite need. It all goes back as you know, a whole lot of spotlight was placed on Charlotte when Irina Zarutska was murdered so savagely on the light rail. And in the midst of all of that, you know, Vice President Vance came to Cabarrus county and he was asked a question about would the National Guard consider coming into Charlotte? Would that be a decision that the administration would be interested in helping with? And in that process, the Fraternal Order of Police then came forth and said we would welcome that help. The Fraternal Order of Police here in Charlotte have sent to the governor. They've cried out and said we could use that help because frankly, they are 270 plus officers down from what we should have policing the streets in Charlotte. And it's not a long term fix, but it is a short term deterrent, we believe, because crime is just out of control. And uptown we've seen an increase of 200% in murders just in the uptown area in the last year.
C
And Charlotte has a brand new police chief. I think just sworn in this week. So she will have a lot of work on her hands. Let's shift gears, gears a little bit though and talk about this current government shutdown. In our last hour we had Senator Marsha Blackburn on who said that she believes that this government shutdown will end in a matter of hours, if not days. What is your inside betting? Well, you're a pastor, so I won't go with the betting. What does your expertise tell you? What does your expertise tell you about how long it might take and what are you hearing in terms of this thing ending?
I
Well, obviously we are on a 48 hour call to return to Washington in order to vote on whatever the Senate ends up sending back. Our hope, of course, is that they're going to come to their senses and they're going to pass the bill, the CR that is sitting over there. We realize that it's got a November 21st date on it, but they can vote on that today and reopen the government within hours. And that would be very important. We would still be coming back and we would want to immediately begin to move appropriation bills as quickly as we could. But that's the simplest way. And if it's a matter of hours, then my hope is that the Senate will just vote. They'll find those five other Democrats that will come across, bring cloture and then they'll be able to vote to reopen the government. It's that simple. If they change the date, if they change anything in that cr, then we're going to have to get back to Washington and we'll immediately vote on that as well. So that's it's just kind of a wait and see what the Senate finally ends up with in their action.
A
Congressman, before you go, Nancy Pelosi will not be seeking reelection next year. What will that mean for politics going forward? And more specifically, what impact will that have on the midterms?
I
Well, it's certainly welcome news to my ears that she's not going to be returning. But I think in the truth, truth of the matter is I think it shows. Again, it's hard to say this about Nancy Pelosi, but I think it's even more a shift to the left that the Democratic Party has taken and that's been clear. When you see a communist elected mayor of New York City, when you see the kind of things that have happened in our cities across this country, I really believe that she's recognized that even the party has left her now shifting even further to the left. Whatever her reasons are, I'M not certain, but I think it's a welcomed news for all of us.
A
I think he just said, don't let the doors get rid of us. I'm pretty sure that's what I heard.
B
Well, Congressman, I guess we'll just say goodbye to Nancy Pelosi, have her enjoy Golden Corral. But my guess is she's probably never stepped inside a Golden Corral. But that's a separate. All right, Congressman, thank you so much.
I
Well, thank you so much for having me.
B
All right. Sounds good. More American Sunrise after the break. Stay with us, everybody, on a very busy Thursday.
E
Breaking news from Real America's Voice.
C
We are back with breaking news just into our Real America's Voice America American Sunrise newsroom. Excuse me. California Representative Nancy Pelosi, the Democrat and former House speaker, says that she will not be running for reelection next year, effectively ending her career in Congress. Obviously, this had been rumored in the past and it wasn't necessarily big news after those rumors, but now it's official with Nancy Pelosi saying she will not be running for reelection and again, that virtually ends her career in Congress. We'll continue to have more coverage on this particular developing story throughout the day here on Real America's Voice. But now let's bring in Dr. Gina, David, Emily to talk a bit more about this. You know, we were talking in the break, Dr. Gina, and you and I were like, you know, this isn't new news because it had been rumored. It had been rumored, but again, now it's official. And I guess it's important to say that she has now officially said that goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.
A
No, no, no. I mean, you know, I mean, the sad truth is what I believe the congressman very eloquently outlined, and that is that the party has moved to the left of Nancy Pelosi, and that is that that should send a chill down all of our spines. I mean, the fact that Nancy Pelosi is too old school, too moderate for her party now tells us exactly the level of socialism, communism that has taken over the left left of politics. David?
B
Yeah, for sure. By the way, your inqueue was goodbye. Your out cue was goodbye. And that was pretty much the deal. So I'm looking at a statement from Nancy Pelosi and this kind of sums it up. Listen to this. You'll get a kick out of this. This is her speaking quote, there has been no greater honor for me than to stand on the House floor and say I speak for the people of San Francisco. And you know what truer words words were Never spoken or have never been spoken. Because that is for dang sure. Because she ain't speaking for the American people. Emily, though.
H
No, she. She certainly isn't. And Gina, I'll say your goodbye a little bit differently. Sia. Nancy Pelosi, I mean, she has literally been in politics longer than I've been alive. Let that sink in.
A
I think she might have been in politics longer than any of us.
H
I mean, it's crazy. She is the face of the swamp. This is usually the time in the street where we talk about draining the swamp. And thank God she is out.
B
Yeah.
C
You know what? Not to be ageist. And I'm going to go there. I may get in trouble for it.
A
Be careful because don't forget our president has an age, too.
B
Yeah, don't forget my age.
A
Don't forget David.
C
I knew I was gonna get in trouble for that. I should have just shut up. But it's just not in me. I know. I didn't even get my. But it's time for Nancy Pelosi and others who are aged to go ahead and let a new generation come in and to go ahead and move out. I'm sorry, it might not be a pop pop. It might not be a popular perspective, but I think it's time to go. There are a number of people, including Mitch McConnell, who have just been around Congress way too long. They've overstayed their welcome. And I think it's time to move on.
B
Nancy Pelosi, I know who you're thinking about.
C
Deuces. All right. Well, you brought it up. I was to going, yes, him too. Him too. Yes. I feel that way. I'm sorry, that's my position. You can whip me if you'd like, but I stand on that.
A
The really horrible things she said about Donald Trump are so unjust. And if you really look back to J6, that falls right at Nancy's feet. All of the hell that all of us went through because of J6, and especially our J6ers, nothing is more loud and clear to me than that. But the things that, the lives that she turned upside down, the people that died because of the action and inaction of Nancy Pelosi, because she did not want that congressional vote to take place that day. That's why all of this happened. That's why she turned down the federal help that President Trump offered. That's why this was. All of that lays at her feet. And I will never personally forget what she did to our country, what she put us through during J6 and Covid, I just. Horrendous. Horrendous. Like literally criminal.
B
Listen, when she goes finally into the afterlife, if you will, when she goes there, you know it's gonna be.
C
We're already sitting her out the past. You can.
B
Sorry, sorry. But when she goes, you know what's gonna be worse than her being in Congress? Let me tell you. I'm sorry. You know what's gonna be worse than her being in Congress? I'm sorry, Gina, you shouldn't have done that. But what's gonna be worse is all of the accolades, all of the, oh, my gosh, I'm gonna throw up in my mouth. I mean, it's going to be just. She's gonna be canonized, lionized, ostracized. She won't be ostracized. Oh, my. So many other eyes.
A
Yeah, we better take a vacation that day. Because we don't know what. We kind of don't know how to handle those shows when someone. Someone does. And we're all like, we can't really say anything because we can't say anything nice. So we just kind of can't say because none of us here are liars like that. We just can't do it. But you know, David, you just saved Terrence all the criticism because he was going to be an ageist until you became a deathist or whatever that was right there.
C
Yes, thank you, David, for saving me. I said she's way too old. You say she's two toes in the grave. So thank you. We're terrible.
H
I guess. See a David, too, I don't know. Right off the screen.
C
All right, actually, let's just hold that shot right there. It's a beautiful shot. Coming up, we are headed down to Wall street with an opening bell and for a look at the big time investors and what they're thinking about as it relates to the Supreme Court and that big case against President Trump's tariff powers. Those conversations and so much more. Right after the break, New York City. City, good morning. We're going to take you here for the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange. In about seven minutes, that's when that opening bell will ring and we'll get an idea of how the stock markets are looking. I can tell you that pre market trading not looking so hot. As you can see, the top of our board is all red. That would indicate that The Dow S P 500 and the NASDAQ are all down slightly, but still down again. We'll take it to the New York Stock Exchange for the opening Bell here in just a little bit. Bit. And hopefully by then things will have turned around at least a little bit. Now let's get you over to David. David, good morning.
B
I. I'm still recovering.
C
Caught on last night. Yeah, I'm still like, oh, my gosh, what was I thinking? Too funny. Love you, brother.
B
You too, my friend. Love you too. And I gotta tell you, you never know what to expect on this show, that is for sure. All right, all right. Time now for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. We've got American Sunrise, Early Edition host, the guy behind Jake's TV, the guy who loves the 1 in 7 jets. That would be Jake Novak. Jake, good to see you. So you followed those arguments at the Supreme Court yesterday over President Trump's tariff authority. So what do you think? What does Wall street think about how the decision might go?
C
What do you think?
B
I just want to know your thoughts. I want to get inside your mind. Righty.
E
Go. Yeah.
J
Well, the first thing in my mind is my reaction to Nancy Pelosi retiring is I'm shorting my investments in super polygamy. This, this is the worst. I mean, for a woman who's worth almost a billion dollars to have such bad dentures and have them sliding around in her mouth when she does interviews, I mean, she's always like this short. Yeah. Super poly grip is lost its most, you know, noticeable customer. I'm sorry, but that sounds mean. But if you are a wealthy person in America and you have such bad teeth, you have a mental illness, probably control freak issue. But anyway, anyway, yeah, my thoughts are the Supreme Court, if I had a bet, is going to restrict at least in some way, President Trump's tariff powers. And Wall Street's looking at this very closely. Now, Wall street quietly will cheer this, but they're also worried about the mess that this will cause. Will a bunch of companies ask for refunds? If there's some kind of tariff overturn, will that just really just throw a wrench in the companies doing what they need to do and moving forward? So they're just not sure what to do yet about all of this. Again, I'd be surprised that there isn't some restriction in some way on the tariffs coming out of the Supreme Court after what I heard yesterday. And Wall street, again, probably just gonna tread water on it, but they'd probably rather just see things move smoothly one way or the other. And that's not gonna happen if the tariffs just don't stay in place as they are.
B
Yeah, for sure. Hey, that ups jet Crash, I mean, so tragic because obviously the lives lost in Kentucky, I believe it's up to 12. It might be more now, but the crash is yet another bad effect for Ford's already beleaguered supply chain. There is a connection here. Explain Jake.
J
Yeah, I mean, oh, my goodness. Ford has just had all this bad news. First, the aluminum plant fire in Oswego, New York last month, that's really slowed down production of their best models. Now this explosion, you don't have to be a scientist to understand that this explosion right next to your assembly plant, really close to the site of this explosion, would disrupt production there. And it certainly has the Louisville assembly plant, the lap, as they call it, that's where they make the Ford Escape. And it had to shut down a couple days. Still sort of not really running fully. And this isn't good news for Ford. Ford Escape is a really popular model of theirs. They just can't get a break when it comes to supply chain stuff. But of course, our first concern is with the safety and also finding out what the heck happened here. This is an old jet that was just recently gotten maintenance in September. Apparently we might have a problem here with our cargo jets in the sky. So that's of course, our first concern. But I'm also, I'm sorry for Ford and their production disruption here.
B
Yeah, we're going to monitor that for sure. I'm sure you will. All right. So, Jake, in recent days, we've talked about Chipotle, Pizza Hut. I'm getting fat just thinking about it. And now it's time for McDonald's. So what do you think? I mean, do the golden arches have better news for us? Are they loving it, if you will, or what? Yeah, I know.
J
Listen, let's. Let's just both admit that we've given up on healthy eating on this program. For the last few days, it's been. It's all been correct. Yeah. McDonald's. McDonald's has better news. They had same store sales that. Sales that increased by almost 4%. Wall street cheered that. So McDonald's bucking the trend now for the rest of the fast food world. Although I would say Taco Bell and KFC are also doing well, but they're part of a larger company. McDonald's is doing well. Now here's the issue. They're not getting enough profits yet out of that. Out of those extra people coming into the store, they got to work on that or the restaurant, I should say. Of course. Here's my hot tip for them. And they know this already. But I'll say it to everyone here. They're making a much bigger profit off of those people who go to the drive thru. Most people still don't want to be caught inside a McDonald's, especially in some fancier neighborhoods. So they use the drive thru. And the drive thru is much more profitable. There's no table to clean up after. There's no floor to mop up after when you do the drive thru. So if I were them and they're listening to me, I would offer a slightly bigger discount to drive thru customers. And I think that will increase their profits. But of course, I'm not going to get any of those profits. So I don't know what I'm doing. Free work for McDonald's for whatever. Maybe give me some free fries.
B
Yeah. By the way, on Nancy Pelosi, you know, the most depressed people are the ones that follow her stock picks because if she's out of Congress. Yeah, they're going to be like, crap. Now what am I going to do?
I
All right.
B
Jake Novak, great to see you, sir. We'll have to talk. We should talk more about Nancy and her stock situation, you know, maybe tomorrow or this next week. All right. Thanks, Jake. Appreciate it.
J
Yeah, my pleasure. Okay.
B
All right. We're heading back to Terrence in Denver. He's got the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange and it is sponsored, if I'm not mistaken, by amac.
E
The association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can write the corporate of America.
C
Well, no, David, you are not mistaken. This news break is sponsored by amec. As you said, the applause is underway at the New York Stock Exchange, which means we are just moments away from the bell ringing there. Here you go. The applause is underway and the bell is going to ring here in short order. We showed you pre market trading. Our board wasn't looking so hot the day Dow, S P500 and the NASDAQ were all in the red during pre market trading. Now that the markets are officially open, let's check to see how things are looking right now. And it looks like the dow and S P 500 are still down. The NASDAQ is up and the only other blemish on our screen at the moment is crude oil. So hopefully all of this will change. Well, as you just saw, the NASDAQ actually just went down to the red as well, so. So up and down day already in trading. It's likely going to be that way for much of the day, but we'll continue to monitor it for you. The tax extension deadline may have passed, but for millions of Americans, the real trouble is just now beginning. When we come back here on American Sunrise, we'll explore the impact and the legacy left behind by former Vice President Dick Cheney, both on the conservative movement and the country as a whole. We'll talk all about it and the good and the bad when Americans Are Sunrise returns.
A
All right. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us this morning. We invite you to hop in our conversation on YouTube. Getter and Rumble. Time now to take the political pulse of America. The beat today, Dick Cheney's legacy. You knew it was coming. Former Vice President Dick Cheney, one of the most powerful and controversial figures in modern American politics, died on Tuesday at the age of 84. Now Cheney, who once dominated Washington as the architect of the war on terror and the Iraq invasion, spent his final years at odds with the Republican Party that he once once helped shape. A hardliner turned Trump criticism. Cheney broke ranks with conservatives and even backed Kamala Harris in 2024. Can you guys believe that? I can't believe that. A decision that left many MAGA voters feeling completely betrayed. His legacy remains divisive. A man who projected American power abroad, but whose decisions left deep scars both overseas and at Home, if we're being honest. So, more we want to talk about this, let's bring in David Brody. Teammate.
B
Hello. Nice to meet you.
C
Good morning. Hello.
A
Well, let's just see if we can top our last vamping block where we, like, all buried ourselves. David Barry. David Berry. David Brody. I can't talk today for some reason. I just called Steve Gruber Goober. So I don't know what's going to happen with that. David Brody, I know you have very strong feelings about Dick Cheney. I'm just going to turn you loose.
C
Here, and I'll go on to yield that time to you, David.
A
Yeah, we're all yielding our time to David.
C
What does that mean?
B
That I have very strong feelings for Dick Cheney. I don't understand.
A
No, I think you have strong feelings all the way around in the reality, David, you are a veteran news guy, and you have been covering Dick Cheney for a long, long time. My assumption, I even texted you this, was that you probably interviewed him 497 times and golfed with him six and probably spent Christmas dinners at his home. You're like, nope, never.
C
I'm like, oh, I hope you didn't.
B
I hope you didn't go hunting. I know what you're gonna say.
E
Listen.
B
Oh, I thought the same thing. I hate it.
C
Oh, I. I'm. I'm sorry.
A
None of us are gonna have jobs after this show.
B
We're literally off the rails.
A
It's been fun. Doing this show has been fun. Sorry. Sorry. It's over now.
C
I was yielding my time to you, David, because I knew that I was gonna say something off kilter. Go ahead. Sorry.
B
Well, here's what I have to say about Dick Cheney. Okay? So let's just go back circa 2004. All right. 2004. Right. Coming out of the, you know, 9, 11. And we got all of the enhanced interrogation techniques. Come on, be honest. If you're anywhere from 50 years old to 65. 70 years old, you were right in the thick of that as a conservative. And you were loving every minute of Dick Cheney at that point. You were.
C
Don't lie.
B
Thank you, Gina. And so was I. And we were, like, waterboarding. Heck, yeah. With those terrorists.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
So all day. So. So Dick Cheney was like a hero type guy to conservative. And then it became the ultimate womp womp 72 font and bold. Because of what Trump did. Right. I mean, Trump not only changed the Republican Party, changed the Democrat Party. And Dick Cheney. It's interesting. I saw an article which I thought was wonderful, that Dick Cheney was the ultimate insider, but ended his life as the ultimate outsider. I mean, that is so true.
A
So true.
B
I mean, talk about a tale of two obits. And we talked about this before. I mean, you put an obit together in 2009, it's Dick Cheney. Way to go. You are awesome. 2025. See you later, brother. Yeah, you know, it's just totally.
C
It goes to show. It goes to show that the Republican Party, as you said, has changed. And Dick Cheney is probably the face of your grandfather's Republican Party, not, not today's party. And he did not change with the times. He did not. And you know, sometimes when you don't change with the times, you're left behind. And your legacy as a result, then sometimes can change based on the current environment. And I think that's what we're likely seeing with Dick Cheney. So I agree with you. I think you make a great point. The Dick Cheney of yesteryear was a hero. The Dick Cheney of today, not necessarily.
A
So, but the American.
B
How about just not so much? Yeah, what's that, Gina?
A
I said, but the American electorate has changed so much. We gotta bring in our next guest because you know he's going to have some great comments on all of this. Joining us now with his two since the host of America's Voice Live, Steve Gruber. Steve, here, here is my thought. We as Americans often think we are so right. We think we are so right. This is all Americans. This isn't just conservatives. We think. Well, I have a grasp of the American political right ethos, and I'm right and everyone else is wrong and stupid for their thoughts. Dick Cheney is a great reminder to me how much I can believe something about someone, how much I can trust someone and applaud them and be cheering for them from the sidelines or wherever I am and be dead wrong. Dead wrong. Steve Gruber. This should be a reminder that when we look at the body politic today, because we think think so and so is so great today, they might be the ones that betray us tomorrow. We have to be so careful.
E
Steve Gruber, you know, anything I could say right now or in comparison to what you said or David said would quail in comparison.
B
Oh, very nicely played. Nicely played. And can you spill potato while you're at it?
E
Yeah, yeah, yeah. You love that, didn't you? All right, look, look, just duck. Did you see that low flying bird? Yeah, right in the face. Boom. Look, we got lied to by Dick Cheney. He's a man without a country. Because we got lied to. We Got lied to about the Iraq war. We got lied to about the Patriot act, which has been one of the worst pieces of legislation in the history of this country. So they can inspect, detect, reject, neglect. Americans right on down the line any way they see fit. It's a terrible piece of legislation that we said, oh, this would be a good idea after 9 11, man, we should have read the fine print. Dick Cheney lied about Iraq. How much treasure, how much life, how much blood was spilled in Iraq because we got lied to. And look, he knew. Look, Dick Cheney died. And I'm like, yes, so what? Yeah, we can be wrong. I was wrong about the Iraq war. I was wrong about Dick Cheney, who, by the way, think about this. He was hired by George W. To vet VP candidates so he could find the person to run with George W. He said, you know, I've looked around, I'm the best guy.
C
Right?
E
That's what he did. It's what he did. Yeah. Look, you know, I've looked at everybody else that don't choose me. I'm your guy. And he became a very consequential figure and a divisive figure. Look, politics has changed. You guys talked about this. And I'm going to say something here that I said immediately after the election on Tuesday. Mamdani and some of these other far left socialist candidates have tapped into a very similar vein that got Donald Trump elected in 2024, and that is listening to people that feel forgotten, neglected, out of touch and unable to keep up with their bills. Donald Trump connected with the middle class. Now this might fire some people up, but this is the truth. You got populists on the left and populists on the right. I don't agree with socialism. I think it's a very dangerous track because it has proven 100% of the time to fail across the world. And in this country. I mean, government, grocery stores, not going to work. Free bus rides not going to work. Gender affirming care for anybody inside or outside of New York. Catch a plane, come here. It's not going to work. There's no money to pay for it. It's insane. Raise taxes on the biggest producers, those making more than a million dollars. Raise taxes on business. None of this is going to work. It's going to be an abject failure and a disaster. But Mamdani grabbed a hold of a group of people, young people, specifically. 81% of young women voted for Mamdani because. Because they're having a hard time making rent, they're having a hard time purchasing A home. They're having a hard time making ends meet. Even though a lot of them have gone to school, worked hard, done what they thought they were supposed to do, and they're still not working for them. That is not unlike that same vein that Donald Trump tapped into with the middle class in America. You have populism to the left and populism to the right. And Republicans would be very mindful to pay attention to why that election went the way it did in New York City and pay attention to what people need and what they're looking for. And they're looking for a chance. They're looking for a chance that if they work hard and get a good job, that their kids can go to a good school, that they can put food on the table without sweating the bullets and have a chance to buy a house before they're 39 years of age. I bought my first house when I was 19. I don't know if that's possible today. I don't. You know, other people in the office here bought houses in their 22, 23, 24 years old. I don't know if that's possible anymore. And I understand the angst. So it's important for the Republican Party not to just dismiss and mock Mamdani, although we'll do plenty of that. But we have to identify how he won and why he won, because it's important when you go into the midterm elections to not ignore this, but to study it and understand why it happened. And it happened because people feel forgotten. They feel like their voice doesn't matter. And their economic issues.
C
There it is.
E
Their economic issues are. Are front and center for them every single day.
B
Yeah, and I agree with all of that. Let me just add to that, though. The problem here is that a lot of folks want free stuff, and that's very appealing. It's like the Oprah Winfrey. He's like the political Oprah Winfrey. You get a car, you get a car. You get a car, you get a car. Everybody gets lollipops and gumdrops. The problem is that your taxes are gonna go up. The problem is other people are gonna pay for it. And it's not just the rich rich. And so that. That basically will be the problem here. So. So it sounds good until the bill comes at the end of the month. Steve Gruber.
E
Well, and the bill's gonna be more than that, David. First of all, I mentioned the young women. That's right, the young women. 81% of young women in New York City voted For Mamdani. Here's the other number you have to understand. Foreign born voters, 12% went for Sliwa, 23% for Cuomo. 62% of foreign born voters went for Mamdani. So you look at cities like Minneapolis where by the way, they avoided the complete socialist lurch, they reelected the incumbent. Looks like the same thing in Seattle. But overall, foreign born voters that left socialist tyrannical governments are voting for socialist tyrannical government. I mean, you heard Mamdani's acceptance speech. Where was the nice guy? He's gone, you know, turn up the volume as he's yelling at President Trump. You're gonna see more of this. You're gonna see more vitriol, you're gonna see more anger, you're gonna be some more demands. And he's now gonna go after Kathy Hochul, give me the tax hikes that we were promised when I was elected. Give them to me or there's gonna be hell to pay. 2% on those making more than a million. 4.5% on businesses taking up so they match New Jersey. This is going to happen and he's going to demand of Albany everything that he promised to the voters in New York City. And if she doesn't give it to, to him, they're going to run her out on a rail. I mean, we're already looking at people thinking about primarying Hakeem Jeffries, the radical left wing in certain parts of this country are taking over in certain districts. Now the question then becomes this, does this mean the Democrat Party becomes more of a regional party? I think it does. I think they become more of a regional party. Because look, people here in Detroit and in Michigan, they don't buy New York politics. I think it's probably the same in Cleveland and Philly and other places. They don't. But you have to pay attention to what they're being told. And what they're being told is give me a chance, give me a chance to buy a house, give me a chance to pay my bills, give me a chance to, to compete, to succeed. That's what's happening and I truly believe it. And you just gotta look at all of these things. Don't dismiss it, look at it. And I'm telling you, Mamdani is going to be loud and proud and demand of Albany all the promises and he's going to demand that Albany make those tax hikes so that he can pay for this progressive fever dream. That's what's going to happen.
A
Producers are who gives it to him. I have to say I know how much you love radio. I've always said radio is my first love because I love the relationship you have with your audience. What I love about our new Ambassadors program is that it is giving us that just like our chat. It's like a magnified chat. It's so exciting, in a word. Steve Gruber, because the producers are really going to kill me. What do you think about the new Ambassador program?
E
I think it's the great extension of the real America's voice. It gives the the audience the voice that they deserve in a day when again, they feel forgotten.
A
Yes, absolutely. They are not forgotten on this network. Steve Gruber, thank you so much for joining us.
B
Thanks.
E
Thank you.
A
Coming up, Islamic activists are feeling emboldened after the election of Zoran Kami Mamdani as mayor of New York City. We're going to dive deeper into the aftermath of the socialist takeover of the Big Apple. After the break Sting.

Again, that's artillerytco.com premium tea, mission driven and brewed for the brave. It is time now to spill some tea. And in the cup. Today, a political disaster in New York City. Zoran Mamdani, a Muslim immigrant and far left socialist, has been elected mayor, prompting celebration from Islamic advocacy groups and criticism from conservatives who say the move reflects a deeper shift in American politics. Cair, an organization long tied to the Muslim Brotherhood, is praising Mamdani's win as a turning point for Muslim political power in America, even as the group continues to face backlash for its defense of hamas following the October 7 attacks. Critics say the election marks a broader trend, one where Democrats build power by uniting minority and migrant communities while leaving behind the traditional American middle class. We do want to know what you think about this election. Let us know on rumble or get a hop on and let your voice be heard. Still to come on American Sunrise, from neglect to service. Four dogs have been rescued from a filthy home in England and are now training to become police canines. How animal lovers turned a story of cruelty into one of redemption. That is next. Stay with us.
D
All right.
A
Welcome back to record. I'm sorry, David.
B
I said it was my ringtone. I'm sorry. Please.
C
This show has been off the rails today. We.
B
It is.
A
It is off the rails. I don't know what has happened to us. What kind of equipment, our coffee today. I don't know, man. Something's up. Anyway, welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us today. It is time now for our sunny side up. And in the pan today, a story of heroism and service sport. We'll start that again. Four springer spaniels say that five times fast. That once lived in filth and neglect in a derelict house in England rather are on their way to becoming police canine. The dogs, now named Bruce, Pablo, Lola and Nellie, were among more than 80 animals rescued in April from squalid conditions inside a Yorkshire home. Yorkshire. I don't know why we can't talk today. It's just not. It's just not our day for that. After weeks of care and rehab, five of the dogs were selected for special training with the Greater Manchester Police. One didn't make the cut, but found a loving family in Wales just in time for the holidays. Officer Wes Donnelly from the tactical dog unit said the new trainees have gone from being neglected to having a real sense of purpose. And there is nothing a dog loves more than a real sense of purpose. It's a remarkable story, proving every dog deserves a second chance. I know I'm the resident dog obsessor, lover, rescuer, but, David, you've got to admit this is such a sweet story. And you've seen what I love. What I love is how God created dogs with such a purpose. Like my little Colby and Harlow, they were palace dogs. They were intended to sleep on the feet of royalty and keep them warm. That's what they were born and bred for. And I just love that. But you watch. What really is amazing to me is to watch, like, a hunting dog or an Australian shepherd, you know, shepherding their sheep, literally shepherding their flock, watching a German shepherd be a protector, watching, you know, a pit bull guard the gates. I just. I love the way that God made these animals. And if you don't believe in God, how can you not believe in God when you see dogs do what God.
B
Built them to do, 100% to all of that? And you know what I love about this story? Because they went from, as you said in the story, Gina, from neglected to a sense of purpose.
A
Yes.
B
And that. Hello, that doesn't just apply to dogs, as we know.
A
That's a great point.
B
As human all over it. You know, many of us have feel. As a matter of fact, all of us at one time or another, have felt neglected. Some more than others, and some for longer periods of time. But when you get that sense of purpose, and I believe truly that my faith teaches me that the purpose is in Jesus Christ. When you get that purpose, then you know what? It's Carrie Underwood time. Jesus, take the wheel. It's okay. Everything will work out just fine. No matter what. Anyhow, the point is, is that this is great on a much deeper not. I'd like to know, Gina, which name you like the most? Pablo. Lola. Bruce.
D
And.
B
I don't know, there was another one. Do you have a favorite there?
A
I tell you, it's gotta be Lola. Love them all. I do like Lola. I love them all. But I love the smile on that one dog's face. I mean, you can't miss. That is a. That is a smile. You guys, that is so sweet. I'm bringing Colby in. You know, he's always here on the sofa beside me. I usually only bring him in on Fridays. He had a bad haircut. I'm sorry about this.
B
What's Colby's reaction? What's Colby's reaction?
A
Colby stoic about pretty much everything, but he is. He's a very good foot warmer. He's a very warm little companion, always by my side. Best little guy ever. But, no, I love Terrence. You gotta appreciate this story, too. I mean, these dogs having such a sense of purpose. But, David, honestly, I didn't think this show was gonna end with my eyes welling up. But what you said did make my eyes well up. Because I think about how important a sense of purpose is. This is why our welfare system is so, so broken. And why it angers me so badly because. Because I want people to have their sense of purpose. And that's what's missing when you stick people on welfare and tell them they're going to get everything handed to them by Big Daddy government. Right, T?
C
Yeah. You notice that I was quiet because David dropped a sermon there. I was like, I can't follow that. I can't follow that. That was pretty profound, David, actually, what you said, particularly relating it to the human condition, I can't add much more to that. You made a great point. It's stuff.
B
Sometimes even a blind squirrel finds an acorn. Thank you. I appreciate that.
A
No, you guys are the best co hosts. I'm so blessed to be on the set with you every single.
C
Well, for that one, Dr. Gina, I will say I agree with you. I am pretty awesome.
J
