Leon Neyfak
This is Jim.
David Brody
Hello.
Leon Neyfak
Jim started advertising with iHeartRadio way back.
Emily Finn
In April and now I have customers out the door.
Leon Neyfak
And this is Sarah.
David Brody
Hi.
Leon Neyfak
She started putting a portion of her marketing dollars in podcasting back in June.
Dr. Gina
Business is booming. That's why I'm working on a Saturday.
Leon Neyfak
Want to be like Jim and Sarah? It's easy. All you have to do is own or manage a business and reach out to iHeart. Get started today at 844 iHeart or iHeartadvertising.com When I told people I was making a podcast about Benghazi, nine times out of ten they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked why Benghazi?
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
The truth became a web of lies.
Leon Neyfak
From prologue projects and Pushkin Industries. This is Fiasco Benghazi.
Dr. Gina
What difference at this point does it make?
Leon Neyfak
Listen to Fiasco Benghazi on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Emily Finn
Ahead on American Sunrise. Charlie Kirk is the latest recipient of the country's highest civilian honor. We'll have reaction from the award ceremony at the White House throughout the show.
David Brody
Plus, if the Democrats want to go.
Terrence Bates
To court and challenge troops being paid, bring it. Okay.
Emily Finn
House Speaker Mike Johnson dares Democrats to go to court if they want to stop troops from getting paid during the current government shutdown. Missouri Congressman Mark Alford weighs in and offers inside information on where negotiations to reopen government agencies stand. And in light of President Trump brokering the peace deal between Israel and Hamas, is Russia now more open to making a deal to end the war with Ukraine? Those stories and so much more right now on American Sunrise.
David Brody
Good morning, America.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Emily Finn
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Emily Finn
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Emily Finn
We have to protect the American family.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
Terrence.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning. I'm Dr. Gina. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David Brody. He's in Washington, D.C. and Terrence Bates is in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, guys. I want to ask you, like, every single morning about the fall, because I just. I miss the fall. I got to see it in Pennsylvania this weekend. The little yellow leaves falling off the trees. I'm so jealous of that. I can't believe how much I miss it.
David Brody
It's my favorite season, my favorite Susan.
Emily Finn
I like the aesthetics of the fall, but I don't like the work that comes with. And here's the thing, Doctor.
David Brody
I really.
Emily Finn
I swear to God, I thought of you yesterday. So Tamara, my wife, was like, hey, I'm buying us a tree, and I'm gonna plant a tree, because there's too. There's not enough shade in our front yard, and it's killing our grass in the summertime. I'm gonna plant a tree. And. And I was just like, that just means it's more leaves for me to rake this summer.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Like, I'm gonna come help you rake this.
Emily Finn
You know, I can't say no. I can't say no, because that was gonna be a whole different conversation that I didn't feel like having. But in my mind, I was like, this is just more work for me in the long run. Anyway, good morning, you guys.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Evergreen. Get an evergreen tree. You live in Colorado. They don't drop leaves.
Emily Finn
Is that true?
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Okay, problem solved.
Emily Finn
Okay, I'll have to talk to her about that, but she's already purchased the one tree, so that might make another one. Guys, let's talk about Charlie Kirk. Obviously being conferred the Presidential Medal of Freedom at the White House yesterday. Huge ceremony. His wife Erica accepted the award on his behalf. And here's some of what President Trump had to say during that ceremony.
David Brody
One month after Charlie's death, we still.
Emily Finn
Feel the terrible shock and the pain of his loss.
Leon Neyfak
Like just about nobody I can think of.
Emily Finn
Charlie Kirk was one of a kind.
Leon Neyfak
He was unstoppable, and he really was. Boy, when he had an idea in his head, oh, he was. He would call me.
Emily Finn
Sir, please.
Leon Neyfak
You haven't done it yet, said Charlie. Relax. Just relax. He didn't relax. He called me the next day again.
David Brody
Got it done.
Leon Neyfak
But he was, like, indomitable and always will be. He's really irreplaceable. Nobody can replace him, but they're going to do great. But you can't replace that kind of person and that kind of Talent, frankly, the word talent is an important word, but that kind of talent. So we hold his memory in our.
David Brody
Hearts forever, every single day of this administration. We will continue to carry out the.
Leon Neyfak
Mission for which he lived, and he really did.
David Brody
He lived for this country.
Leon Neyfak
He lived for his wife and his family, but he lived for this country, too.
Emily Finn
Gina and David, it's still somewhat surreal that Charlie's not with us. I mean, these sorts of reminders that we get, you know, with these sorts of ceremonies, but still kind of surreal that he's not with us. Gina?
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Yeah, I had such a special experience last night. James o' Keefe hosted a Charlie Kirk birthday party here in Palm beach. And I was able to go with my family. And, you know, we all stood up one at a time and kind of told our stories about Charlie, whatever, and. And then had some cake in his honor. And anyway, the one thing that. The question that I asked when I gave up, when I stood up and gave my little two cents about Charlie, I said, how many of you, I'm just curious, were conservatives before but never owned a Bible or hadn't opened the Bible you owned and Charlie. Charlie's assassination changed that for you. You guys, this is not an exaggeration. I am not lying. About half of the room raised their hand. Now, this is among conservative Christian right, impassioned patriots. And if those are the numbers in that group, imagine what the numbers are. No pastor, no teacher, no newscaster, no book writer, no anyone has ever had that sort of impact except Jesus Christ himself. I just didn't realize the numbers for that staggering date.
David Brody
Yeah, look, I was having dinner last night with Pastor Lucas Miles, who is running TP USA Faith. We had dinner in the district last night, and he was telling me how much the whole landscape has changed in terms of not just TPUSA chapters, but specifically churches and how many more churches are now on board in the TPUSA movement. It is just off the charts. And, you know, President Trump last night called Charlie a martyr for truth and freedom. And nothing could be further. Further from the truth. I mean, excuse me. Nothing could be truer. Excuse me, nothing could be truer than that, for sure. You know, when is closure ever happened? I don't know if closure ever really happens in something like this, but yesterday's event, as we're seeing there, was one of the guideposts to closure. I think that was an important step as we all, in our own different ways, move towards closure. Once again, to be clear, there won't ever be real closure, but we will Take steps as time goes on. And Charlie would want us to move on, move on in righteousness and move on in action.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
I think Charlie would go hand in hand. Hand in hand. Move on in action. All right, let's check out today's bible verse. Matthew 28:20. It is teaching them to observe all the things that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. I love that one. It's. What is it about that one that is so reassuring? I don't even know, but I love it so much. All right, let's bring in Missouri Congressman Mark Alford. Congressman, it's been a lot of emotion over the last few weeks. Our world has changed. How are you? What are you. Are you seeing any changes in your colleagues? Because I think, boy, if anybody needs Jesus, it's Congress.
Terrence Bates
Well, thank you.
Emily Finn
Sorry, I didn't mean you.
David Brody
No, that's all right.
Emily Finn
I have to applaud that. I love it.
Leon Neyfak
Yes.
Emily Finn
Y' all need Jesus.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
You know, I didn't need you.
Terrence Bates
I will tell you guys, I don't know if you realize this. Mike Johnson is incredible. Man of integrity, man of faith, incredible leader, and I'm honored to be in a prayer group that he has every fly out day in his conference room. There's about 12, 13 of us in there, and we pray over him. We pray over President Trump. We pray for our body, and not just the Republicans, but our entire body. And so when you see men and women of faith, I mean, there are, There are Bible studies all the time in Congress. I'm involved in two. We rotate offices for members to, To. To do this. There's the National Prayer Group, meets there in the Capitol. So Jesus is alive and well on Capitol Hill. It's just getting that message out and doing what Charlie Kirk did. And I think this is a really a reminder for us all, especially in this heated time during the shutdown where day 15 is. Let's debate the issues. Let's not rip each other apart. And I, I've been kind of guilty of that. I mean, you know, you can name call, but you. We also have to. To educate the American people about the realities of what's going on without denigrating another human being. And that's tough to do in Congress. There's a lot of heated moments even on the House floor, and we've lost our decorum. I think both sides, I think the Democrats a little more so than the Republicans, but we've got to return the respect for one another, the love of Jesus Christ, the grace of Jesus Christ. These things that Charlie Kirk embodied in when he engaged in rational debate with others with whom he disagreed. It was always done out of respect. And I want to. I want to. I want to help bring that back to Congress.
David Brody
That's phenomenal. I'm glad you're praying over the body there. I'm praying over my body and it's not working. Just so you know. All right, let's move on. The government shut down now entering its third week. House Speaker Mike Johnson says if Democrats want to challenge President Trump on using other money at the Pentagon to pay service members, then they can bring it, as he said. Take a look.
Terrence Bates
Look.
Leon Neyfak
My understanding to this is they have.
Terrence Bates
Every right to move the funds around. Duly appropriated dollars from Congress to the Department of Defense. There were some R and D accounts that had not been spent.
Leon Neyfak
And that's my understanding is that's the.
Terrence Bates
Money that's being used to pay the troops right now.
Leon Neyfak
If the Democrats want to go to.
Terrence Bates
Court and challenge troops being paid, bring it. Okay?
David Brody
I'm grateful for a commander in chief.
Leon Neyfak
Who understands the priorities of the country.
Terrence Bates
The necessity of national defense, and the.
David Brody
Urgency that we all feel and have.
Terrence Bates
Voted for eight times. Republicans have voted in Congress eight times now between House and Senate to fund.
Leon Neyfak
The troops and pay federal workers in.
David Brody
All these essential jobs and agencies, because.
Terrence Bates
We understand the necessity of that.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
Meanwhile, the Democrats voted eight times to block their paychecks.
David Brody
I'm grateful we have a president who is willing to step up and do the right thing.
Terrence Bates
Thank you all so much.
David Brody
And, Congressman, we're talking about that today because today's Wednesday, October 15th, which, of course, is payday for military members. I'm curious to get your thoughts.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, well, it's day 15, America held hostage by the Schumer shutdown. And the. The Democrats have no leverage points. They keep saying, well, come back to Congress and negotiate. We're not negotiating. There's nothing to negotiate. You know, with three different things. Now, President Trump and Speaker Johnson, I think, have proved successful in our. In holding firm on where we are doing the right thing with a simple extension of our appropriations process. Women's Infants and Children, that that program was going to run out of money. And President Trump found money through the Office of Management and Budget to fund that, to make sure that hungry women and their children don't go hungry because of the Schumer shutdown. Our soybean farmers who have, who've been suffering because of the, the China situation and them refusing to buy our soybeans right Now, President Trump is going to offset those losses through what's called the Commodity Credit Corporation, through the U S. Department of Agriculture, and help them in this time until we get these tariffs straight. Now, we brought in a lot of tariff money. In fact, he's using, I think, 30 billion of this tariff money to, to kind of restock the Commodity Credit Corporation to help out farmers. And now the last bit of leverage that the Democrats have had is this troop pay. They don't want to see the troops paid because they want to inflict pain on the American people. And because of that pain, they're thinking there's going to be a large outcry in people siding with them. It's not going to happen. President Trump found the money to pay our troops and it's going to happen and there's not going to be that pain. Thank goodness, as we're trying to improve the quality of life, some of our troops here at Fort Leonard Wood in our district and a Whiteman Air Force base qualified to be on food stamps. That's wrong. That's why we gave them a huge raise in the one big beautiful bill which the Democrats want to strip away. It's just. It's crazy.
Emily Finn
It's wrong. As you said really quickly, as we continue with this government shutdown, what are your thoughts? Will we get through this before, let's say, November 21st, which is when the continuing resolution was set to take effect, or is it going to be two days before and then we go back into another government shut down two days later because no deal has been breached and no, the negotiations are at a stalemate yet again. I'm sorry. Sorry to be negative, Nancy, but that's kind of how I see it.
Terrence Bates
Terrence, you're absolutely right. And we've had discussions with the speaker on this. I think there's some contingency plans in the work. What are we going to do? We've got to get back and finish our jobs, but only after the government reopens. We've gotten all 12 appropriation bills out of committee. That was hard work. I wish you guys could have been there in the time and the energy it took to fend off the Democrats on some of these woke progressive ideas they wanted to stick back in the federal government as we continue to make cuts in every department except Department of Defense, Homeland Security, military construction, va we are making the cuts. We're getting back to regular order. They're standing in our way. We are out every day. I'm about to leave again to go visit some more rural hospitals. The Democrats are trying to take away this $50 billion, the Rural Health Transformation Fund, where we're helping our rural hospitals stay open and meet some of the challenges they face as we kick people off of Medicaid who never should have been there in the first place. And yes, including illegal aliens, which they deny that's happening. It has happened and they want them back. We're doing our job. I think my wife is getting a little sick of me being at home. So maybe, maybe she can go talk to Chuck schumer and say, Mr. Schumer, tear down this wall.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
How many days has it been, Congressman?
Leon Neyfak
Day 15.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Day 15. So if our government can shut down for 15 days and you walk out on that street right now and your average person has felt nothing, and if they even know it happened.
Terrence Bates
Exactly.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Maybe we know where to cut. Just.
Terrence Bates
That's exactly right.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Gina's two cents. I started out as not strong as I finished, didn't I? All right, Congressman Alford, thank you so much for your time.
Terrence Bates
Thank you. And by the way, Terrence, you are rocking the ascot today, my man.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Yeah, rock the ascot.
Emily Finn
That is beautiful.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
You need a yellow one, though.
Emily Finn
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Tried something a little different today.
Terrence Bates
I love it. Thurston Howe, the third. Take care.
David Brody
You just dated yourself.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Thank you, Congress, best show.
Leon Neyfak
All right. Thank you.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
All right. Coming up, we're going to check out the hottest headlines from the RAP newsroom with T. Bates in the ascot with a pink on it. So stay with us.

The truth became a web of lies.
Leon Neyfak
It's almost a dirty word, one that connotes conspiracy theory. Will we ever get the truth about the Benghazi massacre? Bad faith, political warfare, and, frankly, bullshit.
Terrence Bates
We kill the ambassador just to cover something up. You put two and two together.

Was it an overblown distraction or a sinister conspiracy?

This news break is brought to you by amac, association of Mature American Citizens.
David Brody
You know, there's something about that shot at the White House with the sun shining, with President Trump back in the White House. That's all you need to know. Otherwise that shot would be clouds, thunder, rain, and the Biden administration. But the sun is shining, everybody. Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm David Brody. Coming up, the tenuous peace plan in the Middle East. Hostages released. However, there's a bit of a hiccup. We'll talk about it here in a moment. First, though, T. Bates standing by with the latest headlines from the Real America's Voice newsroom, sponsored by amex.
Terrence Bates
The association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can right the course of America.
Emily Finn
President Trump will hold a joint news conference with FBI Director Cash Patel at the White House today. At this point, there's no word what the two plan to discuss, but we are working our sources and we'll update you as soon as we know. In the meantime, President Trump is out with this video we're getting ready to show you, showing a missile strike on what the commander in chief describes as a, quote, vessel affiliated with a designated terrorist organization conducting narco trafficking off the coast of Venezuela. We'll try to get you the actual video of that blast. The president confirms that six men on board were killed and no US Forces were hurt. The video was posted on Tuesday, marking the administration's sixth bombing of an alleged drug boat. The attack happened in international waters. Intelligence reportedly confirmed the boat was trafficking narcotics. President Trump blames the Venezuelan government, specifically its president, Nicolas Maduro, for facilitating drug and people smuggling in that region. We'll, of course, have more headlines coming your way in just a minute. But first, let's get with meteorologist Tracy Anthony for a quick check of your nationwide forecast. Tracy, I want to play a quick game with you. Let's see if you can name this tune. Hold on.
Dr. Gina
Okay.
Emily Finn
Oh, I didn't mean to play the actual. I didn't mean to play the actual lyrics. Well, that. Sorry, that, that would. That was a bust. So the song is called It Never Rains in Southern California. It's by Tony, Tony, Tony, and I think they're liars now because it did, in fact, rain in Southern California pretty significantly.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
You know what?
Dr. Gina
Exactly. I've never heard that song. I'm gonna look it up after this so I can listen to it in full. But definitely we had record rain throughout the day yesterday in California, and Hollywood in particular broke a daily rainfall record. Now, they also hadn't had a severe thunderstorm watch issued for LA county since 2008. So it had been a long time. Yes, we were talking about, you know.
David Brody
How old we were, what grade we.
Dr. Gina
Were in back in 2008. And so LA definitely had some big impacts. So record rain throughout Hollywood picking up over 2 inches. So that's unheard of. We also had our first Tornado outlook since 2023. So very impressive. We're going to continue to have the chance for some rain, but it's lifting to the north. So LA is going to be in the clear at least for the remainder of the day today. Now, temperature wise across the country, we're still going to be a little on the cooler side out across the inner Mountain west, but still hot across the south central. Temperatures 10, 15 degrees above average. Areas like Dallas getting up to 88 degrees. And then the northern tier of the country's cooling down. But I will have more on where else we're going to be bracing for some winter moisture here in the next hour.
Emily Finn
Terrence, Tracy, we're not coming back to you in the next hour. You took a shot. You said in 2008 you were talking about how old you are and what grade you were in. Let me just tell you, sister girl, Terrence Bates here was full out. Adulting kids, mortgages and all you get see to enough.
Dr. Gina
Don't ask Adrian then, what grade he was in.
Emily Finn
Oh, my God, my feelings are hurt. Tracy, it's always good to talk to you. We will, in fact, check back with you next hour. All right, folks, up next Israel is reportedly cutting the number of aid trucks going into Gaza in half due to the pace of returning the deceased hostages. So how will this impact the peace agreement there? We'll get some answers next. First, though, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date back in 1951, that the first edition or episode of I Love Lucy aired and soon became one of the most popular television, television and comedy series ever. It, of course, stalled, starred Lucille Ball and her real life husband, Desi Arnaz. It became a classic immediately. Lucy aired on CBS until 1957 for a total of 180 episodes across six seasons. Amazingly, I Love Lucy continues to attract approximately 40 million viewers annually through syndication. More American Sunrise coming your way in just a moment.

Seaside Heights, New Jersey. We're Snooki. I'm looking for Snooki. I don't see Snooki. And is that Snooki on the screen? Oh, is that a bug? All right, whatever. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. Israel says it has received the bodies of more deceased hostages. Now, this comes after Israel received the first four bodies from Hamas. As part of the agreement, Hamas released all remaining living hostages and now has to turn over the remains of those who died. So for more, let's bring in retired Navy SEAL officer Mike Sorelli. Mike, good to have you here on the show. So the toll right now, or the tally, I should say, is that hamas has returned seven of the 20 dead hostages. But now Israel says one of the hostages that they returned is not a hostage at all. It's actually a dead Palestinian. So now Israel is restricting some of the aid going into Gaza. This thing is already starting to spiral a little bit. I'm sure they'll figure it out eventually. But Hamas is going to play games. They're not going to disarm. Then President Trump said yesterday there at the White House that, oh, we're going to get Hamas to disarm, and if we have to, the United States will disarm Hamas. Really? How's the United States going to disarm Hamas without boots on the ground? Someone needs to explain all this to me. I'm not happy, by the way. Good morning, Mike.
Terrence Bates
Good morning. I hate to tell you I told you so.
Leon Neyfak
We've been talking about this. This next part is going to be.
Terrence Bates
A little bit of a quagmire. What I mean by that is, to your point, each of the bodies that.
Leon Neyfak
Are given to the. The Israelis are going to have to.
Terrence Bates
Go through forensic analysis to confirm that.
Leon Neyfak
They are, in fact, the hostages. And it's going to be this back and forth.
Terrence Bates
But let me give you guys a different perspective. Do you think that Hamas is probably good at record keeping while they're being hunted by Israel?
Leon Neyfak
Or maybe the guy that knows where they buried a hostage maybe was killed.
Terrence Bates
By Israeli forces in combat. So this was going to be problematic, and there's a consequence for inaction, and that is what Israel's doing with restriction on aid.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Mike, I think one of the. I feel like I need to. David and Terrence, talk about what we talked about on our call this morning. And I think it's very important to understand that what our executive producer pointed out to us this morning, which I knew, but I kind of forgotten, and that is how important it is to the Jewish people to receive bodies back. This is really sacred. You know, some people are like, especially, I know some Christian groups, different churches and things. You know, once you're dead, you know, I don't care. Scatter me around, do whatever. I don't care. I'm dead, I'm gone. My mom was like that. She didn't care. But to the Jewish people and in the Jewish tradition, not keeping track of and giving back the bodies, it's a special disrespect.
Terrence Bates
You're absolutely correct.
Leon Neyfak
And actually, in Islam, it is vitally important to bury their dead within 24 hours following proper procedure. So what I'll say here is what you rob of these families that are.
Emily Finn
Waiting to confirm their deceased loved ones.
Terrence Bates
Is a little bit of closure. Do they ever get full closure? Absolutely not.
Leon Neyfak
But if they followed the practices according to their religion to bury their loved.
Terrence Bates
Ones, it does give them a little peace of mind.
Leon Neyfak
And that's vitally important to the Israeli.
Terrence Bates
People in the nation.
Leon Neyfak
And this is why this is going to be problematic probably for the next month or so.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Yeah.
Emily Finn
Thanks, Mike. It is a victory for the White House and for President Trump in particular, having brokered this peace, cease fire, whatever kind of deal you want to call it, and getting the hostages returned. Obviously, yes, there's still a lot of work left in order to maintain this peace cease fire and move the Middle east and Israel and Hamas forward. But it also seems that it's given President Trump a lot of momentum and a lot of leverage when brokering other deals, specifically a peace deal, a cease fire deal between Israel, not, excuse me, not Israel, but Russia and Ukraine. That's something that obviously has been in the works, but it's been a tenuous deal. We thought we had a deal, then there was no deal. Russia is not talking to Ukraine. You know, there's been a lot of talk, but no real substantive action that's moved that process forward. Do you think now that process will begin to move forward between Russia and Ukraine, given the win that President Trump is able to share on the world stage as it relates to Israel and Hamas?
Leon Neyfak
Teresa, I think you summarize that beautifully.
Terrence Bates
Yes.
Leon Neyfak
All eyes are now on Russia and Ukraine. When I say that don't make a mistake. I'm not saying that the Hamas Israel peace treaty is not fragile. It is.
Terrence Bates
We've got to go through phase two.
Leon Neyfak
In order to get phase three.
Emily Finn
There's a lot that could happen that.
Leon Neyfak
Could derail that process, but we are.
Terrence Bates
At a point where Trump can use that momentum alongside Steve Wyckoff to now.
Leon Neyfak
Focus on closing the Ukraine, Russia war.
Terrence Bates
But if I have to give an estimate, I would say it's going to take him about 12 months to close this deal. There's going to be a lot of back and forth.
Leon Neyfak
These don't happen quickly.
Terrence Bates
Russia has taken proximity of Ukraine and they want to hold that and they want legitimacy within the peace deal of retaining that land.
Leon Neyfak
And Ukraine is going to object to that aggressively. And that's where the difficulty of finding.
Terrence Bates
The middle ground between both parties is going to be.
David Brody
That's interesting. Mike Sorelli, great to have you and good, good perspective. Great perspective. Thanks for being here.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Dan.
Emily Finn
Thanks, Mike.
David Brody
All right, coming up, are more women at risk for depression than men? We're going to have those shocking new details when we come back on American Sun.

When I told people I was making a podcast about Benghazi, nine times out of ten they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes or just asked why Benghazi.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
The truth became a web of lies.
Leon Neyfak
It's almost a dirty word, one that connotes conspiracy theory. Will we ever get the truth about the Benghazi massacre? Bad faith, political warfare and frankly, bullshit.
Terrence Bates
We kill the ambassador just to cover something up. You put two and two together.
Leon Neyfak
Was it an overblown distraction or a sinister conspiracy?
Emily Finn
Benghazi is a Rosetta Stone for everything.
David Brody
That'S been going on for the last 20 years.
Leon Neyfak
I'm Leon Nefak from Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries. This is Fiasco Benghazi.
Dr. Gina

Yes, that's right.

Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. Gina. That is a bleak look at New York City. I see some sun over on the horizon. We are so glad you joined us. You are the sun on our horizon. It is time now for today's health news. It is sponsored by the Wellness Company and under the microscope today, women facing a greater risk of depression than men. New research published in Nature Communications found that women have nearly twice as many genetic markers linked to depression. These findings show that There are roughly 7,000 DNA changes tied to depression in both men and women and another 6,000 that are present just in women. The research also found out that depression related to genes in women are more so tied to metabolic traits which show other symptoms like weight changes and altered energy levels can affect depression. Not very surprising. Also, I would think pregnancy would be added. I guess you can say that's hormonal, but you do hear this a lot. Certainly a new administration in Washington D.C. has brought a lot of positive changes when it comes to fixing our health care system. The reality though, there's only so much government can do. If you want to make America healthy again. It's going to start at home with each of us. And that's where the Wellness Company comes in. It'll save you 10%. I'm a little jealous David gets to do this interview because I love Dave Bratton Liberty University and their CEO Summit. I've been many times. But you get to do it, David. Here you go.
David Brody
Take it away. Well, thank you, Gina. We can fight over it if you'd like. On the air, live. It would be a good viral moment. Should we do that? No, let's not do that. We better not not. We like each other, I think.
Dr. Gina
Go get David Brody.
David Brody
Okay. Sorry, I. I digress. Starting today Liberty University is kicking off its annual CEO Summit. Some of the notable speakers on hand will be aoc. Just kidding. Former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss, President Trump's former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, and former NFL player Jack Brewer. By the way, some of the main topics include cryptocurrency, advancing the gospel through CEO work, and AI. It's the fifth year for. And Rav is there for all of it. We love this event. We approve. For more, let's bring in RAV Washington correspondent Britt McHenry on the ground there at Liberty University in wonderful Lynchburg, Virginia. And also look at that, the Vice Provost of Engagement and Public Relations for Liberty University. Boy, that sounds very official. Dave Bratt. Good to see you guys. Hey, Britt. Lots of movers and shakers down at Liberty University. You're next to one of them. Good morning to you.
Leon Neyfak
I am, Yeah.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
I think right now they're speaking on build your big idea, but there's so.
Dr. Gina
Many big names coming in and out.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
As you guys mentioned, this is the fifth annual CEO Summit.
Dr. Gina
What is unique about this year in your eyes?
Leon Neyfak
Yeah, well, this is the fifth CEO Summit at Liberty University. And we've got, you know, it's always about 500 CEOs. And so the biggest thing is it's predominantly. We're a Christian school, so these are Christian CEOs. So it's very unique when you see these big world leaders. We got the CEO, former CEO of Toyota in and we also got Lee Zeldin coming in from EPA tonight, keynote the dinner and Ken Eldred. And tomorrow we got Brian Westbury, his famous financial newsletter. And I could go on and on and on, but we got top CEOs and they all get along with everybody and then they all spread. Meet our kids. The reason we want the CEOs to come in is to meet our students. And once you see these students, the CEOs can read them in five seconds. And they love them and they hire them and it's, it's, it's good for the kingdom, it's good for Liberty University. And we just want to thank David. Thank you. I'm looking at you down on the monitor and Gina and Harry and the whole team here from Rad. And nice to have you with us today. Thank you.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
It's awesome.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Packed and at every entrance to get in here, just give you a feel of what it's like.
Dr. Gina
A lot of anticipation.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Jack Brewer, I know you were going to try to call him over. Screwing around.
Dr. Gina
There was football game last night. I don't Know who he's talking to.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
But what, what are you looking forward.
Dr. Gina
To most as well? Being a part of this, being such.
Leon Neyfak
A big show in, in the auditorium right off to our left, we got 500 people in the business school auditorium. And so that's always kind of a highlight. These panels, we try to hit the highlights. What's going on in the world. Artificial intelligence. Right now it's entrepreneurship. And then the next hour is, is, what is it? Finance and bitcoin and all that. And we, this year we're stacked with more talent. We have incredible world. The head of major firms on every panelist we have in there. And so the kids get to hear it. They, they get to network with each other. And then we got about four more panels today. We got a, a future CEO lunch in today. Liz Trussell pop in there, signed some books. Mike Flynn was in the box last night for the football game. And everybody just gets along. It's like you guys are just hitting there, having that little civil Christian fight before the show kicked on. And it's, that's the way it should be. Where was my invite in the box last night?
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
I, I, maybe next time. I don't know if you guys also.
Dr. Gina
Have any additional questions for him, but.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Yeah, I was a highly anticipated event.
Dr. Gina
And, you know, Trump's been big on all this, so.
David Brody
Yeah. Hey, Brit and Dave. I was curious about the faith and gospel part of this and how that you infused that with the business aspect with these CEOs, like, how does that kind of play out, if you will?
Leon Neyfak
Yeah, yeah. Well, that, that's what makes this unique. One of the keynotes tonight is Ken Eldred. He's got a major group of CEOs with him, hundreds that he meets with, goes around the country. And then Hollis. Similarly, we have several leaders of CEO networks. And, you know, on the show, and I'm mind with Bannon here and there, the church has become a little weak, right? We go over that, right. The Catholics, Catholic, the Protestant mainline are all woke and whatever. But the resurgence, shockingly, is coming from the CEOs. They're leading their firms with a Christian culture. And it has a huge influence, right? Because the tone starts at the top. So it's tone at the top going down. And they're having a huge influence on the world. And, you know, it kind of is like Charlie Kirk, you know, lighting up the church is lighting up the young people. Kids lighten up the culture. Our students here are all, you know, fans of Charlie and his life. And so yesterday and today we remember him and his legacy, but that's a big part of what we do here. And, you know, we got Ryan Helfenbein in our Freedom center here. You can go Google that, Liberty University Freedom center, to get a little sense of what that's about. But you don't have to infuse the faith because all these CEOs are Christian folks of a serious nature. Right. This isn't, isn't like church on Sunday. This is, they're infusing the Christian culture into their workplace, building up a loving workplace of respect. And when you got that, you don't need the woke stuff. Right? It, it's, that doesn't work as well.
David Brody
Yeah, I'm curious. And I'm curious, Britt. Go ahead. You go ahead. We're on a delay. You go ahead, Brit.
iHeart Advertising Announcer
Oh, no, no, no.
Dr. Gina
We're gonna, we're gonna go with your question.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
I could save mine for later throughout the day.
Leon Neyfak
Go ahead.
David Brody
Oh, I was just gonna have a pithy question about Liberty football. And I was just curious if Brit, if you've ever been down to Liberty before, because they won last night, did they not? They won by a field goal.
Leon Neyfak
Yeah, yeah. Three points, 30, 27.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Oh, man, I'm still not over the commander's loss by to a field goal.
iHeart Advertising Announcer
On Monday night in the rain, in.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
The monsoon that I walked about a mile from that Metro stop.
iHeart Advertising Announcer
So I'm glad that worked out better for you. But the question I did want to.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Ask before we wrap this up, as you mentioned, crypto, that is one of the seminars, and that is something, as I was briefly getting into, the Trump administration is really big on starting to develop.
Dr. Gina
What can we expect?
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Our viewers can expect any insights on that here.
Leon Neyfak
Yeah, well, the crypto, you're going to get kind of a, kind of a Christian take on crypto and artificial intelligence. And you got folks in the room that are big skeptics, you got people that are pedal to the metal. Let's go forward and do it in a Christian way. And that's what's great about this dialogue. But we've got some folks from Silicon Valley that are the leading engineers, right? So they're higher really technically than the CEOs. The, the engineers at the top firms, I won't name them because we want to keep coming year after year, but we've got engineers at the top firms. They know what crypto and what AI is to, going, going to look like in 10 years. Right. And so they're here filling our kids in, educate the other CEOs and so that's one of the cool parts of this. And tomorrow afternoon we've got AI, the engineering theoretical partner we've got implementing AI in one of our, one of our returning superstars, Tenille. She's been a major league figure at major firms across the, across the country. So it's a great few days at Liberty University and we'll be here for.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
All of it for the rest of the coverage. And when is Michael Flynn expected to speak?
Leon Neyfak
Flynn, Mike Flint, General Mike Flynn, head of national security under President Trump, is going to speak tonight at the dinner on Enemies Within. And so he's spending of time, lot a, a lot of time, I think, up in D.C. a fight and a fight DOJ and all that. So I the, you know, our kids are young and innocent still and they're Christian and they're optimistic. But a lot of these CEOs come in and they, they, they tell the students and educate us all how rough it is out there. It's a, it's a tough world. Flynn. We're really looking forward to General Mike Flynn, just an unbelievable patriot and hero.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Well, he, he will be here, is around here somewhere and so are we. And we'll continue coverage all throughout the day with you.
Leon Neyfak
Awesome.
David Brody
So thank you.
Leon Neyfak
Thank you so much. Thank you guys.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Back to you guys.
Leon Neyfak
Thanks, David.
David Brody
Stuff. Thanks, Brit. Thanks, Dave. Appreciate it. All right. On the ground there at Liberty University. Coming up, Saturday Night Live, back at it. Making fun of the Trump administration. Is anyone really paying attention to them anymore? We're going to assess that next on American Sunrise.

Hey, David. Good morning. All right, well, now that we're caffeinated. David, I'm not quite there yet, but I'm getting there. I promise. It is time to stay awake, not woke. And who is woke today, you ask? Well, it will be Saturday Night Live. SNL did a skit making fun of DHS secretary Kristi Noem and the new ICE recruitment push. Here's part of it.
Dr. Gina
Our government agents are working without pay.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Luckily, my boys at ICE don't mind. They're in IT for the love of the game. And how did I find them? By running ads like this.

Dr. Gina
You know it.

Then buckle up and slap on some Oakleys, big boy. Welcome to ice.

Well, the Department of Homeland Security responded to that skit on X, writing, thanks for the free advertisement at NBC, snl. Get criminals out, make history, save America. I'd love to hear your thoughts on all of this. Let us know on YouTube, rumble getter, all of our social media platforms. Hop on. Let your voice be heard. God bless the usa. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
Dr. Gina
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It is time now for our moment of faith, brought to you by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible Today. Does the president's faith still matter? A new study found something remarkable. Even Americans who don't identify with any religion said they still prefer a president who is a person of faith. Not a Christian president, but a leader who believes in something higher. Joining US Now, Bishop E.W. jackson, President of StandAmerica US Bishop, thank you so much for being with us this morning. What do you think it tells us about our country, that even in a secular age, people still want a president who prays.
Terrence Bates
Thanks for having me, Emily.
Leon Neyfak
Well, first of all, it means that.
Terrence Bates
We have not forgotten our roots. Remember, the first president of the United States said in his first proclamation, it.
Leon Neyfak
Is the duty of all nations to.
Terrence Bates
Acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and to humbly implore his favor and protection. The first written proclamation by George Washington.
Emily Finn
That'S what he said.
Terrence Bates
We are a Judeo Christian nation. We have a Christian culture. And I think the American people are aware of that, even though there are.
Emily Finn
Forces trying to tear us away from it.
Terrence Bates
And a president who has that faith and has that understanding is gonna be a much better president than one who doesn't.
Dr. Gina
Absolutely. And I'm so happy you brought that up about George Washington because that is what he said. The separation of church and state. Right. Was supposed to keep government out of the church, not the other way around. This is a Christian country and we should definitely be proud of that. Do you think that leaders, political leaders in this country should be taking a more hands on approach to introducing faith and prayer into public life?
Terrence Bates
Well, look, I think Donald Trump has really set the bar very high because people can debate on exactly where he is spiritually, but there is no question.
Emily Finn
That Donald Trump constantly acknowledges God.
Terrence Bates
He did it in Israel during his great speech announcing this peace agreement. And he's done it persistently. He says, America needs religion, America needs God. And I think a president who understands that, understands the foundation of our nations. I mean, Emily, again, the Declaration of.
Emily Finn
Independence, first nation in the history of mankind.
Terrence Bates
That said, rights and liberty don't come from man, they don't come from government, they come from God. Government's job is to secure those rights. If you eliminate that, you eliminate what America really is.
Dr. Gina
Absolutely. I think that's really well said. And I think a lot of people in this country are waking up to that because you've seen such a resurgence in faith and people coming back to church and people wanting to be closer to God. I actually, I give Charlie Kirk a lot of credit for that. And I think that with what happened to him and all of the memorials recently we saw at the White House with the Medal of Freedom there, I think that that was a huge turning point for this country.
Leon Neyfak
He is a great example.
Terrence Bates
I think we should continue to celebrate not only his commitment to freedom of speech, but his commitment to Jesus Christ, which he was unabashedly and unashamedly prepared to announce in any venue. And I think Christians have got to more bring God back into the public square and be willing to make arguments based on absolute morals and principles, something that we've been told is no longer acceptable.
Emily Finn
But I think it's exactly what makes this nation exceptional and great.
Dr. Gina
I think you are so, so spot on with that. Bishop E.W. jackson, I so appreciate you joining the show today. Thank you for being here with us.
Terrence Bates
Thank you, Emily.
Dr. Gina
All right, we'll be back with the second hour of American Sunrise in just two minutes. Make sure to stick around.

Coming up on this second hour of American Sunrise. President Trump's historic plan for peace in the Middle east is now in phase two. After world leaders gathered to sign an agreement in Egypt on Monday, we'll look at what the next phase entails and what it all means for Israel and Hamas. Plus, the government shutdown is now in its third week, and the Senate failed to advance a GOP funding bill for the eighth time Tuesday. No New Democrats offering their support for this pledge. So how much longer could all of this ultimately go on? We'll get the details, and then later, Democrat resistance to President Trump's crackdown on crime and border security reaches a new level. In Chicago and other blue cities. We'll see how Border patrol agents are reacting to this resistance. That's coming up later this hour. The second hour of American Sunrise starts right now.

David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. On hump day. Happy Wednesday. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G in West Palm Beach. T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning. Hey. So there's this 3pm press conference this morning. Cash Patel, the FBI director, gonna be inside the Oval with the president. Hmm. I wonder what it could be. Okay, I have a guess. I'm gonna guess, and if this is wrong, pretend I never said it. But if it's right, then I would like to have kudos. If you don't mind. Tomorrow morning, I Think that they're gonna announce something about John Bolton? I think it's gonna be about John Bolton. David. Sorry. I saw your notes.
Emily Finn
I saw your notes. No, seriously, that was gonna be my thing. I saw a report last week saying that some sort. You saw that report as well. Okay, so we're not as smart as we're pretending to be.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
I didn't see the report.
Emily Finn
It was basically a report last week, Dr. Gina, saying that there was talk from inside the DOJ and the FBI that some sort of indictment against John Bolton would come down this week. And so when I saw Cash Patel and President Trump doing something in the White House, that's immediately where my mind went, that there might be something coming down against John Bolton, particularly since he was raided, what, a couple of months ago now by the FBI. So that would be my thought, too, David. I just knew that it was just me, but look at you. You're taking the wind out of my sails, buddy.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
And then when we had John Solomon on the show yesterday, and he said, I have something fun for you all tomorrow, I'm like, oh, for John Solomon to say the words, I have something fun. I know John Solomon's definition of fun. So I think. Yeah, you're onto it, David.
David Brody
Yeah. John's definition of fun is like going through FOIA requests. That's his definition of fun.
Emily Finn
Exactly. Well, let's just get right to our head timelines really quickly, guys. As David just mentioned, President Trump is going to hold a joint news conference with FBI Director Cash Patel at the White House today. At this point, we don't have confirmation about what the two plan to discuss, but we are. We are wagering on it. So we'll find out tomorrow later today and, of course, share for you tomorrow. In the meantime, though, President Trump is out with a video showing a missile strike on what the Commander in Chief describes as a, quote, vessel affiliated with the designated terrorist organization conducting narco trafficking off the coast of Venezuela. The president confirms that six men on board were killed and no US Forces were hurt. The video was posted on Tuesday on Truth Social, marking the administration's sixth bombing of an alleged drug boat. The attack happened in international water. Intelligence officials reportedly confirming that the boat was in fact trafficking narcotics. You can see the blast here. President Trump blames the Venezuelan government, specifically its president, Nicolas Maduro, for facilitating drug and people smuggling. The federal government doesn't appear to be any closer to reopening this morning, now that we're more than two full weeks into it. New figures released in the Justice Department court filing claim the Trump administration has fired 4,108 federal employees since the shutdown started. The administration claims the dismissals are directly linked to the government shutdown. As Senate Democrats continue to hold out on passing a continued resolution to get government agencies back up and running while lawmakers negotiate continued government funding. A federal judge is due to hear arguments in lawsuits from unions representing those federal workers today. The unions argue the current shutdown doesn't justify mass job cuts because many government workers are already furloughed without pay. And finally, in case you happen to miss it, emotional moments at the White House as President Trump honored the late Charlie Kirk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom and signed a proclamation declaring October 14th a national day of remembrance for Kirk. Charlie Kirk would have celebrated his 32nd birthday on Tuesday.
iHeart Advertising Announcer
I asked our daughter what she would.
Leon Neyfak
Like to say to Daddy for his birthday.
Emily Finn
Excuse me.
Dr. Gina
She said.
David Brody
Happy birthday, Daddy. I want to give you a stuffed animal.
iHeart Advertising Announcer
I want you to eat a cupcake.
David Brody
With ice cream, and I want you.
iHeart Advertising Announcer
To go have a birthday surprise.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
I love you is what she said.
Emily Finn
That was Charlie Kirk's widow Erica, speaking at Tuesday's Medal of Freedom ceremony for her husband at the White House. The posthumous honor comes just weeks after Kirk was assassinated. The Medal of Freedom, by the way, is America's highest civilian honor. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast. Meteorologist Tracy Anthony standing by. And Tracy, you know I hear and listen to everything you say. And the last time we talked, you mentioned the possibility of snow somewhere in the Midwest.
Leon Neyfak
Yeah.
Emily Finn
Come on, please say it ain't so.
Dr. Gina
I know you know we're expecting snow.
Leon Neyfak
From the Sierra Nevada.
Emily Finn
All right, Tracy, I apologize. We're again having some problems with your audio. We will check back at you. And that's what happens when you forecast snow. We're just going to cut you off because I am anti snow because it typically means I have to shovel my driveway early, early, early in the morning, which ain't never fun. Yes, I said ain't. All right, let's get you over to David Brody. Now, David, you know, one of the things I remember about Maryland snow there is fairly rare. It gets a little chilly. But you guys don't really get a whole lot of snow there.
David Brody
No, we really don't, though some, some winters are worse than others, but typically not much. So that's good. We just get a lot of corruption in D.C. so we make up in that way.
Emily Finn
If I could just share, if I could just share my Absolute best semester in college, the semester I got the best grades. We were off school for about 10 days because of snow. We literally got back, say, you know, Tuesday school was supposed to start. Wednesday had a huge snowstorm and we were out of class for about the first 10 days. And that's the semester I did the best. Now, those 10 days, oh, I had a whole lot of fun. But anyway, that's another story.
David Brody
That's glorious. And a lot of sledding, I'm sure, too. All right, President Trump T. Bates moving forward with his peace plan today. As we saw this week, phase one involved the exchange of prisoners. Home prisoners, okay? They're terrorists is what they are. They're Palestinian terrorists. And those were in exchange for some hostages. All of them, the ones that were alive at least. But we're learning now. Hamas has not kept its end of the bargain. What a shock. On Truth Social yesterday, the president posted this. All 20 hostages are back and feeling as good as can be expected. A big burden has been lifted, but the job is not done. The dead have not been returned as promised. Phase two begins right now. President DJT all right. Joining us now with the latest is Rav, chief White House correspondent Brian Glenn. Brian, you know, look, the dead hostages were supposed to be returned and now getting, it's not even getting word. It is confirmed. Israel says out of, they've gotten seven back. One of them apparently, though, is not a hostage. It's a dead Palestinian that Hamas gave them. You know, Hamas playing games makes perfect sense. And that's why I'm concerned about phase two big time. What can you tell us from the White House this morning? Good morning.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, good morning, David. I agree. Phase two is the next difficult chapter in that. And the two major components of this phase two is a finding out what that governing body looks like for that area. Then phase two is also who is going to pay for this massive rebuild, this cleanup, if you will, decimated about eight out of 10 structures there in that area are completely demolished. And going back to the return of the dead bodies of the Israelis, I'm not quite sure Hamas even knows where they're at. I think that might be one of the reasons why we haven't gotten back. I mean, and then of course, Hamas has got to lay down their weapons as well. And so that's. That's not been the case. And from what I heard this morning from an, from an intelligent informant told me that what you have now is some kind of rogue gang. Some people that have broken away from Hamas that are fighting each other. So you've got that going on as well. So it is definitely a very complicated step into achieving ultimate peace there and making sure that we start this rebuilding of Gaza. But I think it's going to be a major effort in cleaning and paying for that. And of course, we've got some uae, Saudi Arabia, Qatar has agreed somewhat to help do that. But phase two is underway right now.
Emily Finn
Hey, Brian, I want to follow up a little bit on what you just mentioned because President Trump has said that Hamas is going to disarm or basically we're going to force him to disarm, which implies the potential of American boots being on the ground. There's also this kind of oversight group that President Trump has said dozens of U.S. soldiers would be part of, which again implies that American soldiers would be at least in the region and involved. What is the response from the White House there relative to what I just mentioned and how is MAGA responding to all of this?
Terrence Bates
Well, that's a great question. And that actually was brought up to the president yesterday during that lunch with the president of Argentina. And he said, well, you just have to wait and to find out. And the reporter pushed him on that. What does that mean? And he said, well, I'm not here to tell you exactly what that means. They're just going to have to wait and find out. So you can maybe assume that's what would happen. But President Trump not really showing that card right now of what the result would be if they did not comply. But that's an excellent question. As far as MAGA is concerned, from what I can see on social media, and I know that when you get down in the comments, sometimes it can be a little rough. But MAGA certainly does not want to see any American troops on the ground in this protection process. That is something that they view as that's not a priority for them. But you know, like I said, that's that's kind of going a little deep in the woods. It takes a lot to kind of trip the wire in the woods, so to say, on getting a reaction from that. But MAGA is not on board of involving American troops there to secure that region.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Brian, turning our attention now to the ongoing Schumer shutdown. Some are saying this could drag on to be the longest government shutdown in American history. History. The president is warning more layoffs and cuts are on the way. Here we are 15 days. Again, I said this earlier in the show, but if you walked outside and you asked your average person, nobody can tell that the government is shut down for 15 days. Why not just use this as our data on where exactly to cut the government?
Terrence Bates
That's an excellent question. And a lot of people, I think Russ Vote is taking that time to do that. Dr. Gina and the military and good news just got paid or will get paid, I should say. So they're able to fund that and help secure that. So outside of funding the military, that's an excellent question that a lot of people, quite honestly in middle America and really anywhere outside this area is unaffected by this government shutdown. Now, we're all very sensitive to people right now that are not getting paychecks or have been furloughed for a while. Quite honestly, people in the White House, in the press team have been affected by that as well. But this might be a good opportunity to see just how efficient we can get this government down. And of course, we've been, you know, basically adding on to the agencies over the year, increasing our national debt, increasing the staffing and maybe we can do more with less. And this would be a great time to do that. And when you look at what is that stake here, a lot of people say let's just extend this. Let's open up the government and then go back and make some of these changes because it all has to do with health benefits. The ACA extend those benefits to illegals and that which is hugely unpopular with American people. But as we go, we've had what, eight rounds of voting. I don't see it happening anytime soon. I think it would be a bad move if this went through the holidays. I just do. I think American people that are affected by this certainly do not want to go through the holidays not working and not getting paid.
David Brody
Absolutely. I'm just waiting for the Democrats to cave. I think they will. Normally it's the Republicans that cave, but I think here the Democrats will cave. It won't be Schumer, but I think it'll be some of those other Democrats that'll get him to 60 votes. We'll see. Brian Glenn, great to have you with us as always, sir.
Terrence Bates
Thank you.
Leon Neyfak
Appreciate it.
David Brody
All right. Beautiful day there at the White House. Coming up, the Department of Education drastically reducing its workforce. That is shutdown related. We're going to find out how deep those cuts go. When the big show, American Sunrise, that's us continue. Stick around, everybody.

When I told people I was making a podcast about Benghazi, nine times out of ten they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes or just asked why Benghazi?
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
The truth became a web of lies.
Leon Neyfak
It's almost a dirty word, one that connotes conspiracy theory. Will we ever get the truth about the Benghazi massacre? Bad faith, political warfare and frankly, bullshit.

And here's the tactical each bag brews twice. Just go to artilleryteaco.com and use the code LIBERTY for 20% off your first order. Again, that's artilleryteaco.com, premium tea, mission driven and brewed for the brave. Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm American Sunrise contributor Emily Finn. It is time to spill some tea. And in the cup. Today, the Department of Education. The Trump administration has laid off more than 460 department employees, a move that slashes nearly one fifth of the agency's workforce. The White House says the firings are part of a broader strategy to pressure congressional Democrats to end the shutdown. And now, entering its third week as Gridlock over health care and immigration continues. The Justice Department revealed the layoffs in a court filing on Friday confirming the administration's latest round of cuts. After months of buyouts, incentivized retirements, and legal challenges, the effects are already being felt as the administration continues its push to shrink the federal bureaucracy. For more, let's bring back our American Sunrise team. Terrence, let's go to you first on this. What do you think?
David Brody
Yes, let's do that.
Emily Finn
Let's come here. I've got all the answers. In fact, Control room, just a one shot, please. Take the rest of the guys off the screen. I got a lot to say here. No, turf it. They did it. They did it. Thank you. No. So I do think this, and I was saying this in the break, I think that this time is a great time. And it's really a litmus test for the Trump administration to see where inefficiencies exist in government. I'm sure they already had an idea, but it's a way to really quantify those inefficiencies and then ultimately make cuts in order to streamline and slim down government. So I like some of what's happening. I hate that people are losing jobs, of course, but the reality is there are, there's a significant part of our federal government, even in the Department of Education, where people really aren't doing a whole lot and their jobs are just there as placeholders and aren't necessarily super efficient. And so this is an opportunity to cut some of those jobs. And beyond that, I think that this also follows the Trump administration's policies as it relates to cutting the Department of Education in general and doing away with that department. And so it's just the next step in that. Again, one shot here really quickly because I've got several more points, but I guess I will go to David or Dr. Gina if you guys would like to add something else. One shot of either of them, if you'd like.
David Brody
Ladies first.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Well, I just, I just want to be really clear about what the Department of Education has accomplished since its inception. And that is we have gone from first in the world to last in the world in terms of countries, educating our children. There is no place in the entire private sector where you can take, you can increase your workforce and take it from first to last and keep your job. So for me, I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound insensitive, but I don't feel bad for those people that haven't done their jobs, because I can tell you if any one of the four of us were there, we would have made sure that we were doing our jobs and that this wasn't happening. So you're right, Terrence. Clean it out. Listen, reduce the debt. And I mean, look, the American people, David, have been screaming for how long? They want our debt decreased. They want our budget balanced. This is our chance. Not just with doe, but I think they should do it across the board. The federal bureaucracy is too big and we don't need a federal doe. It's not even constitutional.
David Brody
You talked about them not doing their jobs. I mean, I don't know about that. I mean, to me this is about a bloated bureaucracy, right? I mean, this is about the government and why those jobs are even there in the first place in terms of them being bad at their job, not doing their job. Why is the job there in the first place, I think is really the bigger issue. Number one, by the way, let me just say. Let me also just say where Russ vote and the press conference. It was nice to see him come out about this. Oh, sorry, there was not no press conference. President Trump and the White House nice to see a press conference about the job. Oh, wait, sorry. There wasn't one. That's the point. There's no reason to have press conferences about this. We're finding about this type of stuff in court records. Why? Because they want to keep the actual PR pressure and the narrative out there on Democrats. Schumer shut down. Schumer shut down. Schumer shut down. It's working. No reason for this to be supplant that headline.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
You know who I feel bad for? It's our children who have been so sure their futures are hocked for a bloated federal bureaucracy that should have gone away decades ago. Thank you, George Bush. I don't even know which one, but maybe both.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, great points had by all. Coming up, we're headed down to Wall street for the opening bell and insight into how to hold on to your hard earned dollars with some common sense. We'll be back with more American Sunrise in just two minutes. Stick with us.

Charlottesville, Virginia. Good morning. One of the more beautiful campuses I've ever seen, the University of Virginia. It's a gorgeous campus, particularly kind of their mall area area. It's pretty cool. Been there on a couple of occasions. Had some really good times. This is the airport. Of course, this isn't the university, but just the general. When I think of Charlottesville, of course I think of uva. Anyway, we're getting you ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's set to ring here in just a few minutes, and I can tell you so far, so good. As you can see from our board here, it's all green all the way from top to bottom. Hopefully it stays that way once the market's officially open. We'll take you there here in just a few minutes. But first, let's get you over to David Brody. David, good morning. Have you ever been to uva?
David Brody
I have. It's beautiful. This is so funny. Like uva. It's beautiful. Oh, Charlotte's beautiful, by the way. That's the airport. Womp, womp. That cracked me up. All right, can we get a single shot of you again, please, just for DO md? Can we just do that?
Emily Finn
Just give people what they want.
David Brody
Thank you. Just. Just look.
Emily Finn
Just sign my male spokesmodel. Suppose.
David Brody
Oh, it's so good. It's so good. It feels very gq. Okay, we gotta move on. Thank you, T. Bates. I just needed to, you know, help your ego there. So now it's time for our daily dose of dollars and common sense with American Sunrise. Early Edition host, the man who has no ego, and he's the guy behind Jake takes subsack. That would be Jake Novak. Do you realize it's very hard to say Jake takes sub Sack. I can't even.
Terrence Bates
I even.
David Brody
I just messed it up there. I just said Jake's take. Wait, anyhow. Hi, Jake. Good to see you, by the way.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
All part of the plan. The fact that it's a tongue twister gets people to repeat it. So now everyone says Jake's take substack 17 times. It's an evil plot of my own there, I must say.
David Brody
So good. I'm so into evil plots. That is awesome. All right, Jake. So President Trump mentioned falling oil prices yesterday, and that feels like a long time since anyone really even paid attention to that. So talk to us about gas prices right now and where are they and. And why? What's going on? Why is it snowing in that shot? I'm sorry.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
Yeah, I know, I know. Listen, I'm not ready for winter, but it was a good shot of a gas pump. I understand why. It also gets you to talk about it. So yet another evil plot. You know, the mainstream media doesn't cover gasoline prices very much. Why? Because it's mostly centered in Manhattan, where there's like one gas station by the McDonald's out on 34th and. And 58. I've been there pretty far west. Yeah, yeah, you know that one. So. And I, when I was working in those places, I was always pounding the table saying, hey, you know, we got to cover gas prices one way or the other more often. It is such an important economic indicator. So, yeah, gasoline prices, the national average for a gallon of regular is down to $3.06 a gallon. I know a lot of you watching are paying a lot less than that. I'm actually paying a lot less than that here on Long island, if you can believe it. But because of California and Connecticut and places like that, the average is higher, but we're going to break below $3 a gallon, I think, in the next couple of weeks. And when you adjust for inflation, we're really at a close to a very, very all time low in gasoline prices. So this is by the way, every cent that goes off the gasoline price in America is like a billion dollars injected back into the consumers pockets across the country collectively. So it's a big story. It's something that the mainstream media ignores because they're a bunch of Manhattanites who take Ubers or walk or the subway, which is nice, but hey, look folks, this is a big part of our America's economy and you can't ignore it.
David Brody
Yeah, California is always bringing us down. By the way, I was there in Lake Tahoe a few months ago and I'm not playing around. This is. I have the picture, I'll send it to you Jake, later. $6.78 a gallon in Lake Tahoe. In Lake Tahoe. I'm like, you got to be kidding me. Anyhow, back to gas prices. The hess Station at 47th and 10th Avenue. I know it well and I would always see the prices in New York. Oh, you got to be kidding me. Can I make it to Jersey and get cheap gas? That's what I was always thinking. All right, all right. So as gas prices go down, Jake, Walmart share prices are at an all time high. So what's happening there?
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
Yeah, I know Walmart's boring. That's another part of the American economy that the mainstream media doesn't look at enough. Wall Street Walmart shares closed at an all time high yesterday. They're up again in the pre market right now. That has a lot to do with a new deal that Walmart has announced with open AI. Here we go with AI again. Now when you go on Walmart.com, which by the way is the biggest reason why Walmart shares have been rallying so much over the last few years. The experience on Walmart.com continues to improve. It continues to cut into Amazon's market share. But now when you go on Walmart.com, you're going to get a ChatGPT aided experience. Wall street loves that news. And we're at $107 a share up on Walmart. It's up 33% from a year ago today. And I actually think this is actually an interesting place where it does make sense AI could help me. If it sees I'm buying one thing, it'll know that I might need something else and it will help me along in that process. I actually don't have a problem with this. I don't have to press click on my credit card if I don't want to. It's not going to force me. But I do like the Other suggestions? And Walmart could actually end up beating Amazon at that game on the online shopping. This is an interesting development. I'm watching it closely. Walmart at an all time high.
David Brody
Well, that's a game changer. If Walmart could beat Amazon. Wait, that, that just kind of will rock everybody's world, would it not?
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
Yeah, and it would be just desserts. That's what's so funny. You know, Amazon destroyed a lot of businesses in this country. It's a total monopoly, by the way. Should have been broken up years ago into three companies, let alone two. And wouldn't it be funny if it got hoisted on its own petard of Walmart beat it at the online game. That would be kind of poetic justice if you ask me.
David Brody
For sure. Jake Novak, great to have you. Thanks, sir. Appreciate it. All right, time for the New York Stock Exchange, the bell about to ring.
Terrence Bates

We're less than a minute away from the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Momentarily you'll hear the applause and then we'll be in short order hearing the opening bell and getting this day of trading underway. HP is at the podium today. As I said, following the applause will be the opening bell and then we'll get a quick check of how the markets are looking as they open. Pre market trading is looking really good. Remember probably about six or seven minutes ago we showed you our chart and it was green top to bottom. Let's see if it's similar that way. Today as now, the markets are officially open. Here's a quick look. And as you can see, the major indices, The Dow, S P 500 and the NASDAQ are all in the green. There's only really one blemish on our board at the moment, but of course a lot can happen between now and the closing of the market. So we'll monitor it up for you throughout the day and let you know how things ultimately look. Here's a question for you though. Do you owe back taxes? Are your tax returns still unfiled? What? I told people I was making a podcast about Benghazi. Nine times out of ten they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes or just asked why Benghazi?
Leon Neyfak
I'm Leon Neyfak from Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries. This is fiasco Benghazi.
Dr. Gina
What difference at this point does it make?
David Brody
Yeah that's right, lock her up.
Leon Neyfak

Dr. Gina
Welcome back to American Sunrise.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
I'm Emily Finn.
Dr. Gina
Thank you so much for joining us this morning. We invite you to join the conversation on Getter and Rumble. Time now to take the political pulse of America and the beat. Today, a shockwave through Democratic circles as one of their own breaks ranks. Salesforce CEO.
Emily Finn
All right, Emily, I'm going to take over here real quickly. Salesforce CEO Mark Benoff. Benioff, excuse me. A longtime Democratic mega donor and San Francisco power player, is praising President Trump's handling of crime and even calling for the National Guard to be sent into a city of San Francisco. In a new interview with the New York Times, Benioff said he, quote, fully supports the president and thinks that President Trump is doing a great job. Again, those are quotes. He even backed the idea of federal troops in San Francisco to help reduce crime. It's a stance that has many Democrats fuming, though. Local leaders like State Senator Scott Weiner and Supervisor Matt Dorsey blasted the comments, calling them, quote, a slap in the face and an invitation to an illegal occupation. But for many residents who are fed up with crime, homelessness, and open air drug use, Benioff's break with the party line may actually be striking a bit of a chord to discuss. Let's bring back in Dr. Gina, David and Emily. Emily, want to give you a first shot on this. We were just having a couple of mic issues that this morning, so apologize to our viewers for that. But Emily, what are your thoughts on all of this?
Dr. Gina
Yeah, all I will say is I think President Trump is doing a great job to track or crack down on crime all throughout the country. It's something that has definitely needed to happen and he's doing a fantastic job. Gina, I'll send it to you next.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Yeah, second that emotion. I think that he'll continue to do a great job. You know, I think if Democrats would join in and help him, we could really solve the crime problem in this country.
David Brody
David Brody, I would agree with that. I'll just simply say that this guy, my understanding, doing some research on him, he does a lot of this. He goes, which way is the wind blowing here? And he knows the wind is blowing towards Trump. And, you know, so this idea that he's had some sort of conversion. No, he's had more of a practical conversion, if anything, not an ideological conversion. So I think we can all just kind of tamp down this idea that he's become, you know, he's going to put on a MAGA red hat anytime soon. That's not the case. He knows where his bread is buttered and he's trying to figure this out. And quite frankly, Gina, all of us are trying to figure out this. Not all of us, but, you know, I think there are a lot of Americans that are trying to figure out the new terrain ever since Trump glided down the escalator because he has shaken up politics to the point where, you know, the traditional Republican and Democrat lines are no longer the case. He literally has fundamentally changed not just the Republican Party, but he's changed the Democrat Party. He's changed the actual political affiliations in this country. I mean, this is just looking back on this historically, this is something more than impressive. It's something that's really not been done very often in our country.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
But I think Trump more than. Oh, I'm sorry, go ahead, Emily.
Emily Finn
No, go ahead, go ahead. I'm sorry, Dr. Gina.
David Brody
Oh, my God.
Terrence Bates
That.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
That was Himalayan. I think more than that, what Trump has done is exposed the way that the Democrats refuse to work on things. You know, there's this idea in the mind of conservatives, a lot of them, that if we have a good idea, that the Democrats will work with us on those ideas, and that we've learned is not the case. It doesn't matter if it's cleaning up our cities. It doesn't matter if it's peace. It doesn't matter if it's. It doesn't matter what the issue.
iHeart Advertising Announcer
Health.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Look, they're all trying to get rid of rfk. Doesn't matter what the issue is. The Democrats have been exposed to where they're almost going to have to come to the table on some of this.
Emily Finn
You know, and we all knew that President Trump is unconventional. And I think he continues to show that in terms of how he deals with very issues, particularly in this particular case, crime and punishment and keeping our city safe. He's doing things that no one else has dare do. And so it's unconventional and it seems to be working. Before I go over to you, David, I just want to point out that Dr. Gina quoted right at the top, she quoted a Motown song. We know she's not a huge fan of Motown, but she said, I second that emotion. I was like, oh, no. She. Yes, you did, you did. I was like, oh. In fact, I wanted to just bring that up, but I was like, let's stick with what, what's really the issue. But I noticed it, Dr. G. And I heard you. You said, I second that emotion, which is a Motown song. All right, David, over to you.
David Brody
Are you. Are you a closet Motown fan, Gina? I just.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Definitely not. Okay, But I'm a Terence fan, so maybe that's where that came from. I don't know.
David Brody
Well, that. Well, that makes one of us. No, no, two of us. Three of us. Sorry, I'm just playing. I'm just playing. Give him his ISO. Oh, I'll take an ISO. Thank you very much. All right. We're following the latest on the President's push for border security. Federal agents are in many of our blue cities now rounding up illegal aliens and foreign criminals in the face of heavy Democrat pushback. Joining us now to discuss more is CBP Chief Patrol Agent Greg Bovino. Greg? Chief, good morning to you. Well, you know, Democrat leaders are pushing back hard against the President's crime crackdown, which is really what this border issue is all about. I mean, resistance from officials. You've got Governor Pritzker in Illinois making it harder for Border Patrol agents to do their job. How do you see it? From the front lines, if you will. Good morning.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
Well, good morning, folks, and thanks for having me. Being in Chicago here for over a month now, it truly. It truly is the front lines. When we say that every town's a border town, nothing represents that more than Chicago. Definitely a border town. Now we've got foul, tens of thousands of illegal aliens, criminal, illegally illegal aliens running the streets of Chicago. It's a rough city, and we're there cleaning that city up.
David Brody
What has that experience been like, specifically? You said you've been there about a month or so. Can you give us some insight into how that is going down and what it looks like?
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
Sure. We're at approximately 1600 apprehensions. As of probably later on today, we'll hit that 1600 mark. So a very active environment, a very, I guess I would say a dangerous environment. The lethality with what our Border Patrol agents, ICE officers and allied law enforcement are facing in Chicago is beyond what we saw in Los Angeles. As you know, we were in Los Angeles for about four, four months. And what's happening now is. It's beyond belief, actually, whether it's individuals ramming cars into Border Patrol agents vehicles or bringing guns to protests. It's a very difficult situation for our agents to work in, but they're doing a fantastic job.
David Brody
Yeah, there's been talk about, obviously, the controversy. The way Democrats and the media like to spin it is that, you know, got these ICE agents and, you know, Border Patrol, some with the masks on, if you will. And you know, there's a nefarious group and they're not identifying themselves. You want to set the record straight about this, like, big, bad ice, the ICE agent that's out there, because, you know, this is clearly scare tactics by the media and the Democrats.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
Sure. You mentioned J.B. pritzer. That's the governor of Illinois. And then we've got Mayor Johnson.
Leon Neyfak
Those.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
The. The rhetoric coming out of their mouths is astounding, folks. This mask thing. Well, guess what? There's a bounty of $50,000. $50,000 to kill Border Patrol and ICE officers. $50,000. Is there any wonder why our agents and officers are wearing masks? That comes from J.B. pritzker, Mayor Johnson, as well as many of the other politicians nationwide. We saw that also from Gavin Newsom, Mayor Bass there in Los Angeles. They want to unmask officers. Why? So they can be hurt or killed. Makes no sense.
David Brody
Yeah, I'm looking at. So tell me about. You're in which sector? Help me out again. And then you're now in Chicago, but kind of tell us a little bit about your, so to speak, backstory as to how you kind of came into where you are right now.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
That's an interesting story. I'm from the El Centro Border Patrol sector, known as the premier sector in the U.S. border Patrol. Now, those other 19 sector chiefs might disagree with that. We're definitely the premier sector. So the reason we're in places like Los Angeles, Chicago, and probably soon many other places nationwide to round up these illegal aliens is because the El Centro sector, under the Biden catastrophe, we did not allow individuals to come across that border with impunity and, and go to various parts of the United States. We controlled our section of the border because of that. When President Trump came into office, he said, wow, that's a. A great model there in the El Centro sector. Those men and women in El Centro sector did a fine job. So let's take some of that leadership, place them alongside ICE agents and those allied law enforcement officers in. In Los Angeles. See how that works? It worked. As you. As you know very well, we have the National Guard helping us there, and that's expanded to other cities, Chicago. And I think that model is a solid one. So El Centro sector, it kept its part of the border controlled during that migrant catastrophe or that migrant chaos. You can probably call it anything you want. And I'll agree with you, it was controlled there. So that command staff went north to those cities to control the cities now.
David Brody
Yeah, so don't get me wrong. I mean, the resources are important, Congress allocating money and all of that. But what. What President Trump has done here with his leadership has really shown that a president actually, in this case has a lot of sway as it relates to making sure there's a crackdown. How do you see that exactly? I mean, we've been told for decades Congress has to step up and do their job, and they do. I mean, that still is true. But at the same time, a president, if they really put their mind to it and their will towards it, can really get something done here.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
That's true. And it's taken the handcuffs off of law enforcement, not just ICE officers and border patrol agents. But when you take the handcuffs off of law enforcement, it makes a difference. You know, we spent again the past four years and then many other administrations, the Barack HUSSEIN OBAMA ADMINISTRMENT, B1 we were not really allowed to do our job. And now that we're allowed to do our job, it does surprise a lot of folks. But that job's being done and you can see the results. Look at the border. The border. Very few crossings along the border. I had the chance to talk with Chief Michael Banks, chief of the Border Patrol, and we both agreed that border is controlled like it has never been controlled before. But the handcuffs are off. We're allowed to control the border. Look at the past four years. It was utter chaos on that border. Millions of people coming across the border. Now some days it's in the tens coming, coming across the border. It's amazing.
David Brody
Just phenomenal. 20 seconds or so. Chief Bovino, how can people pray for you? I don't think that's a question. You'll get on cnn. But how can people pray for you? And the folks there that you're working.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
With, it will receive all those prayers. We appreciate that. We have a lot of folks coming up to us on the street saying just what you said, prayers for you. It means a lot. We haven't had ICE or Border patrol agents hurt seriously are killed. Let's keep it that way.
David Brody
Chief Pavino, great to have you. And you kept it 20 seconds. Thank you for doing that. We appreciate it from a TV perspective. Appreciate you.
Leon Neyfak
Thank you so much.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
Thank you.
David Brody

All right, for more, we're going to bring in, oh, what do you know, The CEO of Sacred Human, Trevor Comstock. Trevor, these products, you know, I will tell you the one thing, the question I get more than any other is what skincare do I use? And one of the new products that you have, you sent to me just last week, I've started using. Actually, I've been using it, but I started using yours about last week. But it's a great product because it's all clean and there's no chemicals in it at all. And again, I think the important part of these products and the thing that we've kind of learned under RFK Jr. In general is that our body recognizes real products from animals instead of chemicals. That's what this new tallow products you have that I just started using is all about.
Leon Neyfak
Yeah, 100%. It's great to see you, Dr. Gina. And yeah, of course, you know, our beef liver is still our number one product, but our new towel moisture has quickly risen to number two. And it's been selling like crazy. We're in stock, but we did sell out a few weeks ago, so we're all set there. But to your point, for those who don't know, I just wanted to give a little background on it, but it's made with two ingredients, which is the 100American grass fed and finished beef tallow. And then we pair it with the ramenuka honey. So there's no preservatives, there's no synthetic junk, no seed oils or anything like that. And tallow is really amazing because it's also almost identical to the natural oils that your skin produces, juices. So it can actually nurses nourish the skin much more deeply as opposed to sitting on top of it, which unfortunately is the case with a lot of other moisturizers on the market. But then to take a step further, the towel is loaded with vitamins like vitamin A, D, E, as well as K, which are essential for your skin to stay healthy and radiant. And then, as I'd mentioned, we just went ahead and paired it with the Ramenuka honey, which is a naturally occurring antibacterial, anti inflammatory and healing remedy. So it works great for healing, you know, irritated skin or if you have eczema or redness or anything like that. You can look through some of our reviews, but people have had some amazing success with bringing down their eczema and redness. So it works great in that scenario as well. And what's great about it is it doesn't clog your pores. And of course, if you want to compare it to other moisturizers on the.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
Market, the issues with those is they.
Leon Neyfak
Can be effective in their own right. But again, they're usually loaded with synthetic ingredients, fragrances, alcohol, seed oils, even food dyes, which RFK is trying to ban, or RFK junior. But they can, unfortunately, with all those ingredients, damage your skin barrier over time. So that's essentially why we created this product. We just wanted to provide something natural that actually works to nourish the skin. And again, we just whip it into a smooth texture that you can easily apply to your face, your body, your hands, your neck, wherever you want to use it. And again, it works great for pretty much not only anywhere on the body, but also men and women. So I use it every day. I use it a little bit on.
Guest or Correspondent (e.g., Mike Sorelli, Greg Bovino)
My crow's feet that I tend to.
Leon Neyfak
Wake up with every morning. And again, it's great for daily skin hydration or if you have some eczema redness or irritated skin.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Works great for you. Yeah, you know, I put it everywhere, even in my hair. Not on the daily. I'm talking about when I want to do a deep moisturizer treatment. But, yeah, absolutely everywhere. It really, really is good. And for cuticles as well, it's extra, extra, extra strengthened. So, Trevor Comstock, thank you so much for your time.
Leon Neyfak
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)

All right, welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. Gina. Thanks for joining us. Today is time now for the sunny side up in the pan. Today, First Lady Melania Trump announced a major breakthrough in the effort to reunite Ukrainian children with their families. Eight children separated by the war were returned home in the last 24 hours, with more expected soon. Mrs. Trump said she has been in direct contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin for months, working through back channels to secure the children's safe return. The first lady said the two sides have agreed to cooperate on reuniting families, including Ukrainian children who have since turned 18 after being displaced by the war. She adds that Russia has also agreed to submit health records of the children so that doctors and families in Ukraine know how to best care for them. As a champion of peace seems to run in the family. Yeah. Cool thing, huh, Dave?
David Brody
Yeah. When do we ever see this? I mean, I guess Eleanor Roosevelt, when I was 12 years old or something like that. I don't know. But the point is, is that, you know, this is really kind of cool that Melania Trump is trying to do something from a diplomatic perspective. I tell you what, when she puts her mind to something, you know, she's selective in what she chooses, but when she chooses it, she goes full in. And it's. It's good to see tb.
Emily Finn
And it doesn't have to be a lot of fanfare. To me, that's the most authentic way to handle things like this. You don't do it with all the fanfare. You don't do it with all this media attention. You just do it and make it happen. And while she did make the announcement last week, it was literally probably about a five minute announcement. She came out at the White House, made her announcement, said she was working towards this goal, and went back in. And to me, that shows authenticity. That shows that you're really doing it from the heart, not just for the cameras.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
Yeah.
David Brody
And I mean, I would have done it with media attention, and I would have done it with all of that type of stuff. I would have done it with fanfare. Gina, you know that. I would have said, hey, look at me. Clearly, I would have done that.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)
And Terrence would have asked for the one box.
Emily Finn
Oh, I would have asked for one box. And I would have had, literally, fanfare. I would have had horns flaring and all kinds of stuff. But she's obviously better than we are, David.
David Brody
Yeah, well, yeah, of course she is. Well, good for her. You know, maybe Putin will listen to this, or maybe not, actually, but I know. Good.
Leon Neyfak
I'm happy.
David Brody
I'm happy. I'm content. I'm content at the end of this show.
Host or Co-host (possibly Emily or Gina alternate)

David Brody

Emily Finn
Biscuits and gravy Does.

But while I'm eating my biscuits and gravy that I don't even know where I'm getting, I am going to be watching War Room, because that is coming up next with the great Steve Bannon, who can stand for 10 hours straight. As David Brody and I can testify.

Crazy.

The episode is energetic, faith-filled, patriotic, and unapologetically conservative. Hosts express gratitude, urgency, and sometimes levity in the face of both national trauma (Kirk’s assassination, war, division) and recovery. Policy analysis is always couched in plain, direct, sometimes playful, often mission-driven rhetoric.
Whether following policy, seeking inspiration after loss, or tracking the evolution of faith and values in American politics, this episode offers a unique, behind-the-headlines perspective shaped by a conviction that America’s future lies in faith, family, and decisive, principle-driven leadership.
