Ahead on American Sunrise. Saying the quiet part out loud. The number two House Democrat now saying Democrats are using the shutdown as, quote, leverage. Will Republicans stand strong? We have Texas Congressman Randy Weber, who will join us for insight. Plus, another one bites the dust. The Trump administration blowing up more boats suspected of carrying drugs, this time in the East Pacific Ocean. We have the details. And later, Mamdani Madness. Wait until you hear the New York City mayoral candidate Zahran Mamdani's latest far left race based proposal. We're not making this up, folks. We have those stories and much more as American Sunrise starts on a Thursday right now. Good morning America.
Emily Finn
Welcome to American Sunrise.
Tracy Anthony
Whether it's culture, we have breaking news.

David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Emily Finn
And I'm Dr. Gina.
Terrence Bates
Good morning, everyone. We appreciate you being here with us on this Thursday morning. The only reason I know it's Thursday because I had to put my trash cans on the curb today. I'm Terrence Bates in our Real America's Voice newsroom here in Denver. Let's bring in David Brody. He's in Washington, D.C. emily Finn in for Dr. Gina. In our West Palm studios, the lady and gentleman. Good morning to both of you.
Emily Finn
Good morning to you, Terrence.
David Brody
Hey, Terrence. Hey, Emily.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, so look, I'm just gonna share with our audience. As we were coming in, Colin, our director said, hey, Gene boy. So typically I wear a full suit. It's just habit. But this morning I've just been so out of sorts that I'm in full dad mode. I've got a pair of jeans on, a casual sport coat. And so they're making fun of me, folks. So if I'm a little flustered this morning, it's because they're making fun of Me, I just want to put that out there. The world to know, hey, we forgive.
Emily Finn
The fashion faux pas there, Terrence. The viewers wouldn't have even known. As David said earlier, we only see from here up.
David Brody
That's right. You broke in the fourth wall, Terrence. I want to bring our audience in. Bring our audience. And not too much in. If you. Yeah, no, just. Yeah, okay.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, yeah. You all don't want to know everything that's going on with T. Bates, but that's. That's more than enough. Hey, look, guys, let's talk about these newest sanctions that President Trump is slapping on Russian oil. Obviously, the idea is to get them back to the negotiating table. Here's some of what the president had to say on Wednesday. Today is a very big day in.
David Brody
Terms of what we're doing. Look, these are tremendous sanctions.
Terrence Bates
These are very big.
David Brody
Those are against their two big oil companies. And we hope that they won't be on for long.
Terrence Bates
We hope that the war will be settled. We just answered having to do with the various forms of missiles and everything else that we're looking at, but we don't think that's going to be necessary. We would like to see them just take the line that has been formed over quite a long period of time.
David Brody
And go and let's, you know, go home.
Terrence Bates
Last week, they had almost 8,000 soldiers killed. Many Russians were killed last week.
David Brody
Many Ukrainians were killed last week.
Terrence Bates
We think it's ridiculous, and we'd like.
David Brody
To have it end.
Terrence Bates
Emily. These sanctions are targeting two of Russia's largest oil companies. And the idea is to cut off some of the money that these oil companies are raising that's ultimately funded the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Emily Finn
Yes, it sounds like President Trump is going to continue on this path of trying to bring peace to that situation, trying every means necessary. Sanctions seem like the next step in that plan, Terrence.
David Brody
Yeah, and here's the thing. The Rosneft and LUK Oil, those are the two big companies that President Trump is talking about. They make up about 50% of Russia's oil production. So it is technically a big deal. Having said that, if India continues to buy oil from China, from Russia. Excuse me, China and all, you know, you got to get some of these other actors involved as well. Otherwise it's going to be mostly symbolic. Having said that, it does put pressure on Russia. And by the way, can I just quickly say something at the top about Russia? Listen, Putin wants to conquer Ukraine. Okay? We all know that. They've been very clear about this. But What Trump is saying is like, look, Putin, Vlad, take the deal, man. Take the deal. You got 85% of the Donbass region, those two. Region, those two areas right there in Eastern Russia or Eastern Russia, my bad, Eastern Ukraine. Whoops. But it's kind of like Russia, my bad. So sorry. 85 to 90%. That's what Russia has right there in Eastern Ukraine. And by the way, they have 11% of all of Ukraine right now, as opposed to 4% before the war. So they're up 7% right now. And, you know, take the victory, take the W, if you will. That's what Trump is telling them. And Putin's like, no, no, no, no. We're going for the, we're going for the whole enchilada. That's, that's, that's the point here. And that's why Trump is fr. He was like, look, I'm giving you a great deal. And he won't do it. Putin won't do it because he wants all of it. He wants all of it.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, it's tough.
Emily Finn
Certainly.
David Brody
I had to go off on that. Yeah. Emily, please.
Terrence Bates
Bible, my bad.
David Brody
I've derailed us. I've derailed us.
Emily Finn
Well, let's pray for peace in that region. Everyone certainly wants the war to end. And that's a good transition to our bible verse, Psalm 16:11. It reads, you will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. At your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Beautiful way to start the day. Now to the ongoing government shutdown, where the number two House Democrat, Massachusetts Congresswoman Catherine Clark, says Democrats are, in fact, using it as leverage. Watch.
iHeart Advertising Announcer
I mean, shutdowns are terrible.
David Brody
And of course, there will be, you.
Terrence Bates
Know, families that are going to suffer.
iHeart Advertising Announcer
We take that responsibility, responsibility very seriously.
David Brody
But it is one of the few leveraged times we have.
Emily Finn
For more, we want to bring in Texas Congressman Randy Weber. Congressman, thank you so much for joining us this morning. Want to get your reaction to Congresswoman Clark there.
Terrence Bates
Unconscionable. If you listen to what she said, and thank y' all for what y' all do. Real American voice gets the word out, and I appreciate that. It's unconscionable. She literally pointed out that they're using this shutdown as a weapon. They're using it as a weapon, and it's unbelievable that they would resort to that. Of course, I kind of say tongue in cheek. The Democrats, they voted for some of the same spending, by the way, 13 times under President Biden. And here's the Thing, they now want to use this as a weapon. And tongue in cheek, I say, well, because they don't have a president who knows what's going on and they don't have an auto pen, now they've got to resort to this as their weapon. It's unbelievable. The American public should take this into account when it comes election time.
David Brody
Yeah. Hey, Congressman Weber, where do you think this goes? I mean, we're at the second longest shutdown in history. We're just steamrolling right to the first. The longest 35 days. Does this go to Thanksgiving? What's your sense? And how in the world is this going to change? What's the calculus? I mean, Democrats clearly think that November 1st is going to come along.
Terrence Bates
And.
David Brody
That'S going to put pressure on Republicans to. To cry uncle here.
Terrence Bates
Well, I did a town hall last night, and here in Texas, of course, I'm from Texas. And as y' all probably know, if you didn't see this news flash, Texas has uncovered about 2700 illegal voters on the voting rolls in Texas. So that's kind of a side issue. But look, you've got a situation where the Democrats are losing their mind because their base has gotten extremely radical. I know y' all talked about the Mondami running for New York mayor here earlier today, and what we're watching is extreme. You think Russia's communism is bad, just wait till they get communists taking control of the Democrat Party. I would hope that the senators would wake up and say, look, we've played this hand at this table long enough. It's time to do something different so that we can bring America back to where it needs to be and people don't have to suffer just because we're using this for leverage. Congressman, just a couple of moments ago, you used the word unconscionable, which immediately brought to my mind the current budget deficit that we're dealing with or our current budget, which is that now we've surpassed $38 trillion. Congressman, I'm sorry. I know we only know each other professionally. Personally, I'm cheap. Professionally, I simply like to call it a fiscal conservative. To me, $38 trillion is unconscionable, Congressman. Well, it's unbelievable. And listen, if you looked at it, the Democrats wanted to add 1.7 trillion, and I've used this in my town hall last night. They want to add $1.7 trillion to the spending bill right now. And with a $37 trillion deficit, that's 1.7 would have been almost $2 trillion more so you can't make this stuff up. It is unconscionable. The American public needs to understand that. I've been a Republican since Reagan ran for reelection in 83. Back then we said there was too much waste, fraud and abuse. There's still too much waste, fraud and abuse. And we ought to be doing something about it, not about fixing that, not adding to it yet. That's the Democrats ploy. So how do we go about fixing this? Emily, I'm sorry, I know you have the next question, but I think it's important. So how do we go about fixing it? Particularly since we've gained much money and we're in a shutdown, we're not supposed to be spending money and the national debt is still growing. Our deficit is still growing. Well, that's exactly right. And you know, Republicans are fighting for working families. The one big, beautiful bill that we passed was to get a tax break, make sure that we got the tax break back to Americans. And the Democrats don't like that because they never saw a spending bill that they didn't like or want to increase. And you're seeing that going on. And I, I just hope, thank God, that enough Americans voted to get Donald J. Trump back in office. And I think, Lord, are you listening? I'm praying that Americans are starting to turn that corner where it's not about all the free giveaways, the government free, quote, unquote, can give away, but it's about being an American and making sure that we're on top of things. Let me just add real quick, Terrence, I'm so grateful for Donald Trump, the way he's handling Russia, because he's using the American, you know, we are the biggest market in the world, and he's using the American market and American economy to get things done. You know, what's he stopped, what, seven wars or whatever the total is now. So I applaud President Trump and I hope Americans are paying attention and they're going to, quite frankly, my opinion, hope they kick the Democrats out of office come midterms.
Emily Finn
Yeah, President Trump certainly is bringing peace and safety all throughout the world. I do want to get your reaction to this, Congressman. The CBS News headline, two more ships, I mean, AKA drug vessels, operated by a designated terrorist organization. They were blown up by the administration in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Apparently, this is a known narco trafficking route in international waters. That's now a total of nine strikes. It started in the Caribbean Sea and now it has broadened out to the East Pacific. What is Congress's role here.
Terrence Bates
Well, I'll tell you this, you're hearing the Democrats push back against this, saying that Trump doesn't have the right. But you know what, because of international law and all that kind of junk. And I'm saying Americans lives are here at stake. And this is not something that we just go in there, Emily, and say, okay, here's the boat. We think, well, you ought to shoot that down. Our great military, our fighting men and women are experienced. They know what they're doing. We've got intelligence about this. We're not just going out there and picking, oh, here's a boat, let's shoot that one. No, the president is right on track to this. He's sending a message to the narco terrorists, as I call them, that they can't keep sending these drugs to America. We're going to make sure they pay an ultimate price every time they try.
Emily Finn
Congressman Randy Weber, thank you so much for your time. Appreciate you joining us.
Terrence Bates
Thank you, Emily. Appreciate you all.
David Brody
Great to see you.
Emily Finn
All right, coming up, we are going to check out the hottest headlines from the RAV newsroom with T. Bates. And later, one day after a meeting with President Trump and Vladimir Putin was put on hold, new details are emerging on what Russia's military is up to. Those details are ahead as American Sunrise continues.

This news break is brought to you by AMAC association of Mature American Citizens.
David Brody
Dallas, Texas, here on a Thursday. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. I'm David Brody. Coming up, Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State. Next up next man up first, it was J.D. vance. Now it's Marco Rubio going to Israel to talk to Netanyahu. We've got a lot more details on.
Terrence Bates
That in a moment.
David Brody
First, though, T. Bates standing by with the latest headlines from the Real America's Voice newsroom, sponsored by amac.
Terrence Bates
The association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can right the course of America. As the government shutdown rages on, apparently so is government spending. The government's gross national debt has now surpassed $38 trillion, marking a brand new record. A new Treasury Department report confirms the figure. And the fact that the US has added $1 trillion in debt just since August. That's said to be the fastest accumulation of debt outside the pandemic era. Economists say that conventional wisdom when it comes to growing debt is that it eventually leads to to higher inflation. The Government Accountability Office also saying that rising government debt can result in higher borrowing costs for mortgages and cars, as well as lower wages for workers and businesses having less money to invest. The Trump administration is continuing its deadly attacks on alleged drug boats. CBS is reporting the latest strike happened this week on the Pacific side of South America. When asked about the contest, continued attacks while in the Oval Office with President Trump Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying if people want to stop seeing drug boats blow up, then stop sending drug boats to the United States.
David Brody
There are people traveling on international waters headed towards the United States with hostilities in mind, which includes flooding our country.
Terrence Bates
With dangerous, deadly drugs.
David Brody
And they're going to be stopped. And that's what's happening. And in the case last week, you.
iHeart Advertising Announcer
Saw there was a submarine.
David Brody
It was a submarine. It was a submersible.
Terrence Bates
That's a drug boat all the way through.
David Brody
We know what these boats are.
Terrence Bates
The president just said it.
David Brody
We tracked them from the very beginning.
Terrence Bates
We know who's on them, who they.
David Brody
Are, where they're coming from, what they have on them. And, you know, if you're running drug boats, you're in, you're in grave danger.
Terrence Bates
And President Trump adds that his administration does have the legal authority to carry out these strikes. However, he signaled the possibility of hitting suspected drug targets on land as well. Well, as drug smugglers begin to move their operations from international waters due to these strikes. The commander in chief says if he decides to move in that direction, he'll seek congressional approval or at very least notify Congress. President Trump scheduled to travel to Asia tomorrow. Trade will top his agenda, specifically the ongoing trade war with China. While 47 says he believes a deal can be reached with Chinese President President Xi, he also sees other opportunities for his meeting with the Chinese leader. What I'll really be talking to him.
David Brody
About is how do we end the.
Terrence Bates
War with Russia and Ukraine, whether it's through oil or energy or anything else.
David Brody
And I think he's going to be very receptive.
Terrence Bates
He, he would now like to. I don't, I'm not sure that he did at the beginning. He would now like to see that war end. Talks about ending the Russia Ukraine war come as the Trump administration just slapped Russia with new sanctions targeting the country's oil industry. Oil, by the way, is the economic engine that largely funds Russia's continued war with Ukraine. The president is hoping these latest sanctions will force Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table. We'll, of course, continue to cover all of that for you. Meantime. Joining me now for today's forecast is Weather Nation meteorologist Tracey Anthony. By the way, look at the bottom of your screen. We're getting ready to put up a QR code for you where you can join Weather Nation and the family. There, you see it there at the bottom. And what's even better is that your hometown forecast awaits. Head on over to the real America's Voice chats on Get a rumble and YouTube. Tell us where you're live, where you're watching from, and if you're selected, we'll then deliver your hometown forecast live, courtesy of Tracy Anthony. Tracy, I have to admit I'm still a little sour that I've got to share you with the rest of the world. I thought that it was just you and me forever, but apparently not. So let's talk about this, Melissa, tropical storm hurricane. Where does it sit at the moment and is it ultimately going to threaten us here in the United States?
Emily Finn
You know, it doesn't look like we're going to have a huge threat here.
Tracy Anthony
In the United States.
Emily Finn
But right now, Terrence, this system sitting.
Tracy Anthony
In the Caribbean Sea, and it doesn't.
Emily Finn
Look that impressive right now, but the forecast models now expecting this system to become a major hurricane, even a cat for four, by early next week. So we are talking huge impacts across this region. So right now moving Northwest right around 5 miles per hour, it's lopsided. It's dealing with some wind shear, so it's not able to grow.
Terrence Bates
So that's a good thing.
Emily Finn
However, that wind shear is going to dial back and we're going to see this storm system just kind of explode over the weekend. And unfortunately, since it's going to be so slow moving, we are talking about Jamaica getting 8 to 12 inches of rain. So areas like Jamaica, Haiti, the Dominican Republic all going to feel the impacts of this storm. And it's going to be just south of Jamaica as a category 4 system. So these are rainfall totals between now and Sunday. But once we get into Monday and Tuesday, even more rain is going to be possible. So, Terrence, the Jamaican government already asking people to prepare for the worst and, you know, start making plans now. Now the system is slow moving, but they're going to start to feel impacts as soon as Friday. So this is going to impact millions across the Caribbean.
Terrence Bates
This is good information, particularly for people who are planning a little getaway, maybe to Jamaica or the Dominican Republic. May want to try to rebook those plans. Tracy, always good to talk to you. We'll talk next hour.
Emily Finn
Sounds good.
Terrence Bates
All right. Well, up next, Secretary of State Marco Rubio scheduled to head to Israel. What more can be done to get the second phase of the Israel Hamas peace deal negotiations moving forward? We'll ask an expert. First, though, a quick look at this day in history.
David Brody
Look.
Terrence Bates
Hot diggity.
Emily Finn
You're flying.
David Brody
You're flying.
Terrence Bates
It was on this date in 1941 that Disney released its hit animated movie Dumbo. It followed Dumbo the elephant who was bullied for his large ears, but he learned to fly. The film had a $950,000 budget and it was shorter than other animated films, running only 65.5minutes. It received an Academy Award, though, for best scoring of a musical production. And it remains a classic to this very day. More American Sunrise coming your way after this break.
iHeart Advertising Announcer
Wait till we get to the big town.
David Brody
Boy, them city folks is showing for a surprise.

The White House, a pretty boring place with President Trump. Really not much happening. It's just so humdrum. Or maybe not. Welcome back everybody, to American Sunrise. All right. Secretary of State Marco Rubio slated to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tomorrow. This comes, of course, after Vice President J.D. vance just met with Netanyahu yesterday. Vance said they have a tough task ahead. Really? I think he's right. Which is to disarm Hamas. Good luck with that. And also to rebuild Gaza. Oh, good luck with that as well. Netanyahu also said that Israel is in charge of security and it will decide on those matters. For more, let's bring in the president of IRIS Independent Research. That would be Dr. Rebecca Grant. Dr. Grant, thanks for being here. So. Well, here's a not so easy question for you. How in the world would you go about making sure this peace plan takes hold? This is no easy task. Good morning to you.
Emily Finn
All the tough questions first thing in the morning. I think the Trump administration is doing the right thing. They are keeping very close contact with Israel to make sure that this stays on track. The step we're waiting to see is the multinational force that can go into Gaza and stabilize and then begin to build up a Palestinian police force there in Gaza. And until that happens, we're all kind of on the edge of our chair waiting for something to go wrong. We also want to see the relief trucks going in there. But I think keeping very close contact with the region at this point, both publicly and behind the scenes, is the right strategy. And I think Trump will pull this off.
Terrence Bates
I'm glad you brought up that multinational police force. There's word that a number of the Muslim countries who are part of this accord have already volunteered troops. Is that to some degree a potential danger for Israel having more Muslim aligned troops in Gaza that potentially could turn their backs on Israel and potentially launch an attack or help to build the Hamas stronghold there in Gaza? I'm sorry for being negative, Nancy, but I don't trust them.
Emily Finn
It's a valid question. The troops I've heard would come potentially from Indonesia, also from Egypt and possibly Turkey. And the good news here is that all three of those were part of the meetings around the ceasefire agreement. They're part of upholding that 20 point plan. So the idea is that they really do not want this conflict in Gaza to start up again. So I think these nations providing peacekeepers would do so very professionally. And I believe we'll have some US Command and control based out of Israel to help just link and connect all those tactical forces together.
Terrence Bates
Okay.
Emily Finn
Dr. Grant, we do want to talk to you about Russia as well. Russia said it held a major training exercise with nuclear weapons. This comes right after President Trump's meeting with Vladimir Putin was put on hold. How concerning do you see this development? Putin really likes to show off those nuclear weapons. In this case, it's mostly a routine exercise and our US Military will have watched very closely to make sure it's kind of what they do every year. The concerning piece was some Russian bombers flying around in the Baltic. The NATO air policing with their F35s and other fighters were up there monitoring the whole thing. But it is a show of force by Putin. I'm not too concerned at this point. Remember, he really dares not use nuclear weapons in Ukraine because the radiation pattern would blow back into Russia. So he is just posturing at this point.
David Brody
That's a really good point. Speaking about Russia and Putin, these new sanctions on the two big oil companies there, I'm wondering what kind of impact you think that will have. I mean, India and China, I mean, if they continue to buy oil from Russia, I don't know how much of an impact it's going to have. So I'm curious about that as part one of the question and then part two, and it's really more a statement. But I'm curious to get your take on it. The Donbas region, I mean, before the war, they had about a third of the Donbas region under sectarian or, you know, the control there by Russian forces. And now it's at like 85, 90%. Take the W. I mean, Trump is just basically telling to telling Putin, at least take your 85% in the Donbass and go home. You know, you had Crimea, which is four and a half percent of Ukraine, and now you're at 11% of all of Ukraine. Take the victory, so to speak, and go home. He's not going to do it.
Emily Finn
And Putin's not going to get any more on the ground because Ukraine is pretty much holding them on the ground and then getting the tremendous Patriots and other air defenses defenses. The trouble, I think, is Putin still thinks he can get Donbass by pressuring Ukraine through the horrible drone and missile strikes. It's really thorny. And so to your first question, it was high time to see those sanctions on Rosneft and Lukoil. You're right. China buys half of Russia's oil. India buys a big chunk, and there's a little bit that still goes to Europe. But these are very important sanctions. And Treasury Secretary Bessen is also telegraphing that if they can sanction these two big companies, it's a financial sanction, he can do it to other Russian interests. So they've got to get after the Russian oil sales, there's got to be more legit military pressure on Putin as well to get him to the table.
Terrence Bates
So let's talk about some of that pressure. It could also come from China, President Trump indicating that he's going to speak with Chinese President Xi and that he believes that President Xi also wants an end to the Russia Ukraine war. What sort of influence could she have in this entire negotiation to potentially put some more pressure on Russia to end this war.
Emily Finn
Exactly. Xi Jinping could do a lot if he wanted to. Don't ever forget, China's green light is what allowed all of this to happen. And there have been some domestic political rumblings, some generals fired in China that were friends of Xi. So there's a lot going on. Most of all, Xi is concerned about US Sanctions and the impact on China's economy. So he could do quite a bit. Whether he will is very, very, very hard to say. We know Russia and China are tight allies and it's a big danger that we all face. But that what formula it will take to get Putin to agree just even to a ceasefire is very hard to say. I think military pressure. I was glad to see Ukraine use Britain's Storm Shadow missiles in some attacks on Russian energy infrastructure recently. I think it's going to take Ukrainian missiles in the skies over Russia to really get to Putin.
David Brody
Yeah, I agree. Dr. Rebecca Grant, great analysis this morning. Thanks so much for being here. And by the way, great Skype shot. We approve of that. Just so you know, aesthetically we like it. Thank you.
Emily Finn
Thank you. Enjoy it.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Dr. Grant.
David Brody
All right, coming up, we have all seen the popularity of those GLP1 drugs for weight loss, but can they also help people get better skills sleep? We'll find out about the new shocking details. Shocking, I say. Just ahead on American Sunrise.

Welcome back to American Sunrise, a live look at New York City. Great hot dogs, terrible pizza there. But you know, if you go to this, enjoy yourself. We're going to take you back there here in just a little bit for the opening bell, but want to welcome you back to the show. I'm Terrence Bates. We appreciate you being here. It is time for today's health news and it's sponsored by the Wellness Company under the microscope. Today, weight loss drugs like Ozempic and Zepbound may actually do more than just trim your waistline. They could save your life. Yeah, that's right. There's a new study out that shows that diabetics with sleep apnea who took these medicines had a 20% lower risk for death. They're called GLP1 drugs, that's short for glucagon, like peptide 1, which is a hormone that controls blood sugar and appetite. Doctors say this could change how we treat obesity, particularly related to sleep disorders. Well, there's a new administration in Washington, D.C. that's brought a lot of positive changes when it comes to fixing our broken health care system. The reality is, however, there's only so much the government can do. And if we actually want to make America healthy again, well, it starts at home with each and every one of us. That's where the Wellness Company comes in, though. You see their doctors here on this network all the time and you know that their products are the gold standard for keeping you and your family safe and healthy. The Wellness Company gives you the opportunity to make sure you're prepared for whatever happens with their series of prescription medical kits, kits that contain an assortment of life saving medications and guidebooks to assist in the proper use of these medications. Additionally, the Wellness Company offers a variety of products, from parasite cleanses to methylene blue to weight loss and so much more that can really help you stay healthy and live a Much longer and more satisfying life. So make America healthy again. And it starts right at your home. Do your part and protect the health of you and your family by going to www.TWC Health RAV today and order one of their kits. That's TWC Health/RAV. Use the promo code RAV to save 10%. All right, let's get you over to David now. Dee Brody, Good morning, sir.
David Brody
Good morning. You know, just, you know, Dr. G not being here, I'm just going to say Bazint. I don't say it as well. 10%. You and I, we're just. We don't do it, but we. I felt like because Gina's not here, we had to do it in her honor, if you will. Kind of, in a way, I, I.
Terrence Bates
Fully agree with you. As I was reading that I was considering. Okay, should I throw the Dr. Gina Bazan in or not? And I'm glad that you brought it up. So there you like, seriously, folks, all morning long, David and I have been on the same page. It's almost like he's saying what I'm thinking and we've been joking and laughing about that quite literally all morning long. We have a five o' clock meeting and David and I were on the same page. So once again, David, proving that you are. You and I are on the same wavelength.
David Brody
Oh, I love it. I love it. I would say at this point, I guess we're. What is it? Brother from another mother? What are your brother from another mother.
Terrence Bates
That's right. Brother from another mother. Yeah. If you were a sister, you'd be my sister from a different Mr. But, yeah, we'll just go with the brother from another mother.
David Brody
All right, sounds good. Well, let's move on to something much more interesting, and that would be Dr. Ben Carson. Because President Trump tapped Dr. Carson for a new role. National advisor for nutrition, health and housing at the usda at the top of his list. And it's a list. Trust us or trust him. Rising autism rates and what we're putting in our bodies. Dr. Carson says America's health is slipping and it is time to fix it. Well, here with the details. Oh, look at this. Is the good doctor himself. That would be Dr. Ben Carson, one of my favorite people. The entire world. I feel like a fourth grader. Oh, I just love you to death. Dr. Carson, thanks for being here. Of course, you are the founder of the American Cornerstone Institute and of course, former HUD secretary. Good to see you. Tell us more about this new venture. It's great to see you always. Well, it's good to see you too, David.
Terrence Bates
And you know, it's so important because what is, what do you have that's more important than your health?
David Brody
You stop and think about it.
Terrence Bates
Would you rather have your health or would you rather have a billion dollars?
David Brody
And if you choose the billion dollars.
Terrence Bates
But you don't have your health, you'll.
David Brody
Be regretting it very quickly.
Terrence Bates
There's nothing more than that. And just to tell you how important it is, I have a very good.
David Brody
Friend who was suffering from diabetes and.
Terrence Bates
Was going through all kind of hoops and just couldn't get it under control. And so he went to Italy. He's been there for three months. The diabetes is gone.
David Brody
Now he's staying at a villa where.
Terrence Bates
They grow their own food. There's, there's no processing.
David Brody
Every morning he eats fresh food and exercise.
Terrence Bates
Has to go up and down these stairs. There's like 200 stairs, but you see 80 year old women going up and down those stairs carrying heavy objects with no problem, because that's what they've been doing all along. And really it tells us a lot about what's going on in our society. Our expected life expectancy is stable or decreasing, whereas most of the other industrialized nations there's, is increasing, but there's a lot of food processing that they do not do. So we're looking at all these things and we're going to do more than look at them. We're going to help the American people to understand what is healthy eating and what is not healthy eating. I'm not so sure it's a good idea to mandate you must eat this and you can't eat that.
David Brody
But I think people are smart enough.
Terrence Bates
That if we give them the guidelines and we show them the evidence, they will make the right choices. Dr. Carson, what you've just brought up, I think is one part of the equation, but the other part is also a systemic issue. Our food processing is pretty unique worldwide. There are things that we allow in our food that you won't find elsewhere in the world. And it's something that obviously health officials in this country are now starting to address. But it seems to me that it's going to take longer than just one administration to turn all of this around. You are the professional, you're the expert here. How do you see that?
David Brody
Well, the artificial coloring, artificial sweetening, the various types of fats, I think we can make that progress pretty quickly. We're smart people.
Terrence Bates
And there I have not met a whole lot of people who are opposed to it who are saying, no, no, no, I want my artificial coloring.
David Brody
Even if it does increase my health. I don't hear many people saying that. And we're smart enough to figure out.
Terrence Bates
Natural ways of doing things and other.
David Brody
People have done it so we don't.
Terrence Bates
Have to reinvent the wheel.
David Brody
We can see what they've done and.
Terrence Bates
We can improve on that.
David Brody
Also, we need to just get back.
Terrence Bates
To a more holistic approach.
David Brody
I've said for many years if you ate three well balanced meals a day.
Terrence Bates
You drank six to eight glasses of water, you exercise, you got regular sleep and you didn't put harmful substances into your body, most people in medicine would be out of a job. That's not going to happen. It's a good career.
David Brody
You never have to worry about that.
Terrence Bates
But what a difference that makes in the quality of your life.
David Brody
And recognize the people who say, but.
Terrence Bates
I got to have my Coke, I got to have my chips. I'm not saying you can't ever indulge in those things. You know, you have to have some pleasures in life.
David Brody
But when you move away from those.
Terrence Bates
Things and you go to the more.
David Brody
Natural holistic approach, you actually begin to.
Terrence Bates
Enjoy the whole foods, the unprocessed foods to a much greater extent. Almost anyone who does it will tell you that. Dr. Carson, it's always good to see you. Just out of curiosity, what's for dinner tonight and am I invited.
David Brody
Artificial dye?
Terrence Bates
Actually, I'm on a rare. Have anything to eat? We'll see.
David Brody
Okay.
Terrence Bates
All right. Dr. Carson, it's always good to see you, sir. Appreciate you being here with us this morning.
David Brody
A pleasure.
Terrence Bates
Thank you. Thank you. Well, the socialist running for mayor of New York City wants your taxes to match your skin tone. We've got details of the idea coming up. Plus, holy smokes, Pennsylvania gives the Bible its own holiday. That story and so much more ahead here on American Sunrise.

Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's time to stay awake, not woke. And who is woke today? New York City mayoral candidate Zoran Mamdami. Mamdani has a new proposal for property taxes that is woke, to say the least. You're not going to believe this, but seeing is believing. Take a look at this headline. Tax the Whites. Mamdani pitches race based property tax rates for New York City. Yes, you heard that right. Tax the whites. Mamdani is reportedly planning on changing the property taxes for low income minority areas like Jamaica, Queens and Brownsville, Brooklyn. They would pay less in taxes and an area like Park Slope in Brooklyn doted with their million dollar brownstones would pay more. Jamaica and Brownsville have higher minority populations while the brownstones have a higher white population. For more, let's bring in Terrence and David Terrence. Every time I see a headline about this Mamdani guy, every time I hear anything that he has to say, I just can't believe that he is getting so much traction in New York City.
Terrence Bates
The election is not here yet. He's gonna win though. I wish I could say there's a chance he's gonna win this thing. In fact, someone sent me a text the other day saying that Curtis Lewa, the former Guardian angel, the Republican candidate, is staying in the race. And my response even to that was you know, I love his persistence. I love, you know, that he's not giving up, but he's got no chance. Zoran Mandami has pretty much, I think, got this thing wrapped up. And, you know, he. I just can't see some of those policies actually being enacted. I think, and I'm probably wrong here, but what he's saying sounds provocative and it's getting people's attention and getting people talking. I just can't see how any of this would ultimately be enacted, David. I just can't imagine it. Maybe I'm just too pie in the sky, you know, I just, I can't imagine it even in a city like New York.
David Brody
Well, look, I'm from New York. I grew up in New York. Emily, to your point, I can see actually how New Yorkers would indeed back. Mom. Donnie, look, I know the DNA, there it is. It's not just liberal, it's Marxist liberal. And here he comes, Mamdani, onto center stage. So sadly, it makes sense. I say sadly, and this has been a creeps mission, if you will, for a very long time. And you. It was always liberal, but now it's gotten worse and worse. And here we are with Mamdani. So it doesn't necessarily surprise me. You know, I was kind of doing some research. I shouldn't say kind of I was doing it.
Terrence Bates
Why?
David Brody
Why did I say kind of? I was doing research this morning, and Park Slope, Brooklyn, which by the way, let me just say back in the day, not to kind of go into New York City history, but back in the day, Park Slope, Brooklyn was not what Park Slope, Brooklyn is today. Park Slope, which is an area of Brooklyn, is about 70%, roughly a little under that 70% white. It did not used to be that way at all. It's totally transformed. Jamaica, Queens, which you mentioned, Emily, in the script, is about 11% white. So to be clear, you know, the New York Post headline is provocative. It says, you know, he's going to tax the whites, which I guess you can make that argument for sure. But what he's really talking about here is the advantaged and the disadvantaged in terms of neighborhoods. That's really what he wants to do. And, you know, I know people are going to make it a race based situation, and that's a better headline. But there's something even, even more devious going on here, which is his actual way he sees the world economically. And so anyhow, just some food for thought here.
Emily Finn
Yeah, I think these types of policies would certainly do a lot of damage to New York City. And to Terrence's point, it looks like this guy has it locked in. So it's gonna. You know, all of my friends that live in New York City are thinking, oh my gosh, should I move down to Florida? I gotta get out of here. It's gonna be a really tough time for the Big Apple if this guy does truly get elected.
David Brody
Yeah, I mean, I was just in New York over the weekend. I attended the no Kings rally. I was invited. No, I. I didn't. I didn't. I was there for Aladdin as we talked about, you know, and I. I saw the protest going on. No, no, he's all. Anyhow, I was gonna. About to do the plot of Aladdin there for a second. But I will say this, that I told the family, I said we need to go up PM Pre Momdani. I don't want to go in there ad or am. Am after mom, Donnie. So. So that's why we went there to New York, because I'm sorry, I ain't going to New. And look, I'm from New York.
Terrence Bates
I.
David Brody
You know, I got family in New York. But it is a different situation. I don't ever honestly covet changed everything. I think covet changed so much in the city. My mom, who lived there for 45 years or so, moved out. My liberal mother moved out of New York. My liberal mother moved out of New York. That's how bad it got after Covid.
Emily Finn
Yeah, it's definitely seems like it may be getting worse here soon. Gotta go to some more shows, David. See, I don't know what else is on Broadway right now. Some more musicals. Gotta get those in.
David Brody
The Great Gatsby. I want to go see the Great Gatsby. That's what I want to see. But whatever.
Terrence Bates
David, I'm sending my oldest daughter to you because she mentioned last night she wants to go see Phantom of the Opera. So. Uncle David, expect Taryn to show up any moment now and it's on you taking her to see Phantom of the Opera.
David Brody
I. I have some bad news. I'm sorry. I don't want to. I feel horrible. Don't blame the messenger, but Phantom of the Opera has closed down in New York. It is. It was the longest running show and it just closed down. I, I'm. I bring that to you with sadness. This morning on American Sunrise. I'm so sorry.
Terrence Bates
Well, I'm sure you can find a plane somewhere else and take her, David.
David Brody
I will do that.
Emily Finn
Terrence is like, figure it out, uncle. Figure it out.
David Brody
Exactly.
Terrence Bates
Figure it out. Let's go, Uncle David. Let's go. What's the next show on tap?
David Brody
Let's go, let's go.
Terrence Bates
That's right.
Emily Finn
All right, guys. Coming up, we do have a new law of biblical proportions. Pennsylvania's state Legislature has declared September 12th as the day of the Bible. While more states follow suit, we assess next on American Sunrise.

Welcome back to American Sunrise. It is time now for our Moments of Faith brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God bless the USA Bible in Focus. Today, Pennsylvania lawmakers have officially declared September 12 as the day of the Bible in the Commonwealth. The move intends to restore the Bible to its rightful place in American culture. Just in Time for the nation's 250th anniversary. Supporters say this is a patriotic reclaiming of Christian heritage from the secular elite and woke culture. Waging war on faith. Critics may scoff, but real Americans who believe in God and country see this as a victory for tradition and values. Now a resolution is moving in Congress to recognize the day nationwide, bucking big tech and media that want to push the Bible completely out of sight for discussion. Let's welcome to American Sunrise one of our favorite guests, the founder of Revival today, Jonathan Shuttlesworth. Jonathan, it's great, great to see the Bible getting the recognition that it deserves.
David Brody
One of your favorite guests.
Terrence Bates
That boosted my self esteem.
David Brody
It's great to hear.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, it is. It's. I think the woke left and everybody.
David Brody
You talked about, they seem like they're finished.
Terrence Bates
So this, this is great.
David Brody
And that's my home state, Pennsylvania.
Terrence Bates
So it makes me very happy. Did I lose you?
Emily Finn
Yep. Sorry there. Jonathan, I think we are having a little bit of technical difficulties here. You know, I understand that you had a journey recently about someone who was saved. Can you tell us more about this?
David Brody
Oh yeah, we had a guy came to the altar to give his life to Jesus Christ.
Terrence Bates
I said, where'd you come from?
David Brody
He said, chicago.
Terrence Bates
I said, what brought you from Chicago to North Carolina?
David Brody
He said, I saw you on Real America's Voice and I drove two days to come to church and receive Jesus.
Terrence Bates
Christ as my Lord and Savior. So real America's voice is changing people's lives.
David Brody
The guy was in his 70s, drove two days from Chicago to the Eastern Shore in North Carolina.
Terrence Bates
So great job.
Emily Finn
Wow, that is absolutely incredible. Thank you for sharing that story with us, Jonathan and always thank you for being on American Sunrise.
David Brody
Thanks for having me. Have a great day.
Emily Finn
You too. Be sure to tune in to Jonathan and Revival today, this Sunday morning at 9:00am here on REV. We'll be back with the second hour of American Sunrise in just two minutes. Stick around.

Coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise. President Trump rolls out sanctions against Russia's two largest oil companies, turning up the pressure on Putin to end the war in Ukraine. This after a meeting between the two leaders was called off. We're going to take a deeper look at the press president's strategy. Plus, no one in sight for the ongoing Schumer shutdown. Yesterday, it became the second longest in American history. 12 votes now taken. Democrats say no.
Terrence Bates
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
David Brody
We're going to talk about how much longer it could last and if it could soon take first place. And later, the Trump administration set to shatter its deportation record by the end of the year. Over 400, 480,000 illegal aliens have been deported since the president began his second term in January. Can you take Jasmine Crockett, too, as an added bonus? Anyhow, we'll look at the impact as the second hour of American Sunrise starts right now. Good morning, America.
Emily Finn
Welcome to American Sunrise.
Tracy Anthony
Whether it's culture, we have breaking news.
David Brody
To share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
Tracy Anthony
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Emily Finn
And I'm Dr. Gina.
David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from the corruption deep state that would be D.C. let's bring in Terence Bates in our Denver newsroom. Emily Finn in for Dr. G down in West Palm. Good morning to both of you. I noticed on the president's schedule which came out. Yes, Terrence, you have an objection already? Please go ahead.
Terrence Bates
I do. Would you allow me to fact check you? Just really quickly? In real life, you said that Democrats have voted 12 times against reopening the government. So they technically would be a. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I just wanted. Just wanted to clarify that, David.
David Brody
No, thank you. When I started saying no, no, no, that was an ad lib that would not be on prompter. And when I started doing no, no, no, no, I said, what am I doing? Can I stop? And then. So that's why I stopped. That is a true story. What was I even talking about? Oh, yeah, that's right. Wait, I know the president has some sort of statement he's making at the White house today at 3pm so that just kind of came out. And we're in. Brian Glenn's gonna be along in a moment, so. T. Bates, that's gonna be interesting.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, it's gonna be interesting. And there's so many things he could talk about because there's so much on his plate. One of the things on his plate, of course, is trying to reopen the government. As the government shutdown rages on, apparently so is government spending. The government's gross national debt has now surpassed $38 trillion, making a new record. A new Treasury Department report confirms the figure. And the fact that the US has added $1 trillion in debt since August. That's said to be the very fastest accumulation of debt outside of the pandemic era. Economists say the conventional wisdom when it comes to growing debt is that it eventually leads to higher inflation. By the way, the Government Accountability Office says that rising government debt can result in higher borrowers costs for mortgages and cars, as well as lower wages for workers and businesses having less money to invest. The Trump administration continuing its deadly attacks on alleged drug boats. CBS is reporting the latest strike happened earlier this week on the Pacific side of South America. When asked about the continued attacks while in the Oval Office with President Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying that if people want to stop seeing drug bombs, boats blow up, then stop sending drug boats to the United States.
The President just said it. We tracked them from the very beginning. We know who's on them, who they are, where they're coming from, what they have on them. And, you know, if you're running drug boats, you're in. You're in grave danger.
Terrence Bates
On Wednesday, President Trump reiterated that his administration has the legal authority to carry out these strikes. However, he did signal the possibility of hitting suspected drug targets on land as these smugglers begin to move their operations from international waters due to the strikes. The commander in chief. Chief says if he decides to move in that direction, he'll seek congressional approval or at very least notify Congress. President Trump scheduled to travel to Asia tomorrow. Trade will top his agenda, specifically the ongoing trade war with China. While 47 says he believes a deal can be reached with Chinese President Xi, he also sees other opportunities for his meeting with the Chinese leader. What I'll really be talking to him.
David Brody
About is how do we end the.
Terrence Bates
War with Russia and Ukraine, whether it's through oil or energy or anything else.
David Brody
And I think he's going to be very receptive.
Terrence Bates
He, he would now like to.
David Brody
I don't.
Terrence Bates
I'm not sure that he did at the beginning. He would now like to see that war end. Talks about ending the Russia, Ukraine war come as the President has just slapped Russia with new sanctions targeting the country's oil industry. Oil, by the way, is the economic engine that largely funds Russia's continued war with Ukraine. President Trump is hoping the latest sanctions will force Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table. We'll get more on that from Brian Gwynne at the White House here in just a moment. But first, let's get a quick check of our forecast with meteorologist Tracy Anthony. She is in our West Palm Studios. It is now time for our real America's Voice local forecast. Your forecast just for folks on get her in Rumble and YouTube who've kind of logged in and asked for local forecast. So what do you have and where is our forecast coming from? Tracy?
Emily Finn
You know, we've got a couple today. You know, Terrence, this is fun. I've never done these local forecasts. You know, just one hour after another. This is great. I love this. So Dallas, Texas, you're going to be dealing with some scattered showers and storms as we get into Friday and Saturday. So several rounds of moisture flooding going to be a concern for you this weekend. So be mindful of that. That's from Tina from Texa on Rumble. Also, I don't know how to pronounce this name, but Booze, Arizona, they're going to be a mix of sun and clouds. So a nice forecast. This one coming in from T. Carbari at Getter and then Warwick, Rhode Island. So this is a perfect fall weekend. These are the spots in the country where you're going to see the best fall foliage. So this is going to be a good area. The Northeast, New England, you've got maybe one last weekend of those leaves before things start to change. So this one coming in from Diane on YouTube. Now there's just a couple quick headlines I want to touch on. Melissa going to be churning in the Caribbean Sea, expected to get to a major hurricane by Monday. Tuesday could potentially even be a category four. We're also talking about several days of Great Lakes rain with some cooler air working through and a busy, busy weekend across the Northwest with another atmospheric river setting up that's just going to inundate them with rain, Terrence. So lots going on from coast to coast. And I am so sorry if I butchered some of those cities or some of those handles, but this is fun.
David Brody
I love it.
Emily Finn
I hope people start interacting with us more on this.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. By the way, shout out to Tina and Diane. I was chit chatting with them earlier in our YouTube chat, so we're sending shout outs as well. By the way, folks, there at the bottom of your screen, you see the QR code. Go ahead, log on now. Click that and join our Weather Nation team. Tracy, always good to see you. I will talk with you tomorrow.
Emily Finn
Sounds good.
Terrence Bates
All right, let's get things over to David. David, good morning.
David Brody
Good morning, T. Bates. Okay, as you were just talking about, the Trump administration announced those sanctions yesterday on Russia's two largest oil companies. Sanctions come as part of the president's efforts to bring Russia's war in Ukraine to a close. So here is what the president said. Some more sound right now. Take a look.
Terrence Bates
Today is a very big day in.
David Brody
Terms of what we're doing.
Terrence Bates
Look, these are tremendous sanctions. These are very big.
David Brody
Those are against their two big oil companies. And we hope that they won't be on for long.
Terrence Bates
We hope that the war will be settled. We just answered having to do with the various forms of missiles and everything else that we're looking at. But we don't think that's going to be necessary. We would like to see them just take the line that has been formed over quite a long period of time.
David Brody
And go and let's, you know, go home. Last week they had almost 8,000 soldiers killed.
Terrence Bates
Many Russians were killed last week. Many Ukrainians were killed last week. We think it's ridiculous and we'd like to have it end.
David Brody
The best sanctions, the best sanctions ever. Joining us now to explain more is RAV chief White House correspondent Brian Glenn, joining us from the North Lawn of the White House. Brian, curious more about the president's strategy here. And I understand he also has a 3pm some sort of, I don't know, is it a statement? I don't know if it's a press conference, but something's going on. Something's going down there at the White House. Good morning to you.
Terrence Bates
There it is. Well, something is going down at the White House. Behind me there's a little bit more construction and Jonah was actually bringing it up to a lot of dust going up, a lot of construction work. But yes, he has a three o', clock, what's been described as kind of a roundtable. KRISTI noem, Homeland Security Kind of recapping the successes so far this year in terms of working on stopping the cartels, drug flow, sex trafficking. That all goes down at 3 o' clock in the state Dining Room. It would also go it would have gone on in the East Room, but they're that's being knocked down, DAVID but that happens at 3:00'. Clock. So we'll have live coverage on the ground for that. But it's just kind of a recap of what they've been able to all the successes so far under this Trump administration. BRIAN I am curious if there's any reaction from the White House yet about this latest report that the national debt has now surpassed $38 trillion, setting a brand new record. Supposedly $1 trillion alone has been spent just since August. That's got to be a concern, I would think, particularly for the fiscal conservatives walking around the halls of the White House. Well, it is, and I have not heard anything out of the White House in regards to that. Now, I know that Thomas Massie walks around with a debt clause. If you've seen Thomas Massie in person, you've seen him around the halls of Congress. He wears a debt clock on his jacket with a continuous loop of what it is. As of right now, I Think it's a very interesting point. He's been screaming about this. Yeah, absolutely. You can even buy them. He's actually his website. I think there's a link somewhere. We can buy these clocks if you want to keep up with it. But, yeah, it is surpassing the $38 trillion. And, you know, when you talk about the amounts of tariffs, tariffs that President Trump was able to bring in, and they're talking about applying that to the debt, well, when you look at maybe 30 billion, $60 billion in tariff revenue, that is a drop in the bucket. When you look at the $37 trillion and just how much extra spending that we are. So, you know those fiscal conservative hawks that have been screaming about cutting spending as we keep approaching this debt goes higher and higher. I even saw one report, David, that I think it was, was 50 million by 2030. If that's not right, I'll check my numbers on that. It's just out of control.
Emily Finn
You know, Brian, I want to ask you about this, too. President Trump is having some renovations done at the White House. It's the latest in the long history of presidents making alterations to the historic building. Many on the left claim it's unprecedented. Earlier this week, even Hillary Clinton posted on X saying, it's not his house, it's your house, and he's destroying it. That was such an infuriating post to see. Brian, how do you think the White House looks? I don't think it looks destroyed, do you?
Terrence Bates
Not at all. And historically, they have made improvements to the White House. Matter of fact, yesterday in the Oval Office, a reporter that kind of, kind of got tangled up with President Trump at one point talking about his, you know, it was 200 million, now it was 300 million. And kind of in the semantics of what he was doing, actually. Let me step aside real quick, Jonah, can you push in on some of that construction action going on behind us? You can see some of the dust and the dirt kind of pluming up. And you've got photographers outside our tent that are getting a good look at that as well. But, you know, this is not something that's out of the ordinary. Obviously, President Trump putting in his private personal money, plus money of other people as well. There's a list on the website. You've got donors, like, you got Target, you got T Mobile, you got big corporations, you got Kelly Loeffler and her family's involved with this. There's a whole list of private money doing this. So this is no government spending at all for this new ballroom. And traditionally, they have had renovations around the White House throughout the years. This is what they do. Barack Obama in terms of a basketball court, you know, a bowling alley was added at one point. So all of this is not out of the ordinary. But when President Trump does it, obviously it is the end of the world. But he is definitely making improvements here at the White House.
David Brody
I love how he said the other day is like, I love the sound of construction is what he said. I love the sound of construction. He cracks me up. All right, Brian Glenn, thanks for being there. Appreciate it. You know, if it was Joe Biden, the construction would only happen between 10 and 4. So it could happen anytime now. We know. You know, all day long. Yeah.
Terrence Bates
Can't wake him up.
David Brody
No. For sure. All right, Brian, thanks for being here. Appreciate you. Coming up, what do you do when your own property that you paid for by the way, with your hard earned dollars is stolen right from under you? So that's what happened to a pastor in West Dallas and he's not alone. It's happening all across America and in most neighborhoods, including yours. In two minutes, we're going to show you how not to be a victim. When American Sunrise continues on on a Thursday in October.

Welcome back to American Sunrise, a shot at that construction at the White House that we were just talking to Brian Glenn about. All of those renovations that President Trump is making to make it better over there. Wow. Looks like that is going to be a lot of work. He loves the sound of construction, though. I am American Sunrise contributor Emily Finn. We thank you so much for staying tuned to American Sunrise throughout the morning. We want to move on to this story. In West Dallas, a pastor's family legacy was stolen, not through fire or foreclosure, but fraud. Pastor Cory Maxey lost his family's church after another pastor illegally transferred the deed and moved his own congregation into the building. Fraudster Whitney Foster claimed ownership while Macsey's church was undergoing renovation. After years of legal frustration, Foster was convicted in 2022 of stealing three churches, including Maxey's, and sentenced to 35 years in prison. Now lawmakers move to prevent others from suffering the same fate, passing a new law making real property theft a crime. For more, let's bring in investigative reporter for Home Title lock, John Sommer. John, good morning. Thank you so much for joining us. You know, we've just outlined Pastor Cory Maxey's ordeal, his story, losing his family's church to a fraudulent deed transfer. Are churches and other properties just as vulnerable to fraud as a family home?
Terrence Bates
Well, you know, and good to see you, Emily. What a great transition from the White House to this little church in Dallas, Texas, that was owned originally by the pastor's grandfather. And they had to do some demolition on it. And it forced the, the parish to have to leave the church for a while. And while it was vacant, while the work was being done, another pastor in the area came in, did a claim on the deed and moved his parish into it. And by the time the original pastor that owned it came back, it was full. And he, they, they were not allowed to get in. And at that time, it was a civil case. So he would have been forced to hire an attorney, go through the courtroom, you know, court procedure and so on. And he Couldn't afford to do it. And so he essentially lost his church.
Emily Finn
That is an awful, awful story. You know, how was he able to pull this off?
Terrence Bates
Well, I mean, he just forged the deed and then moved in.
Emily Finn
Just that simple.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, it really is. And back then, you know, you could do it. I mean, who's gonna, who's gonna question a pastor, right? A man of God. So I think, you know, the circumstances are such that it was pretty easy for him to just claim this was his church. And oh, by the way, Emily, he did it to two other churches as well before he got caught and just.
Emily Finn
Just goes how simple this, this really is. You know, tell us a little bit more about home title lock and what you guys could do to prevent from situations like this moving forward.
Terrence Bates
Sure, Emily. Anyone that owns a piece of property, whether it's a little church, whether it's a baseball stadium in San Diego, Petco park, or whether it's Elvis Presley's mansion or your grandmother's house or your house, every piece of property has a deed or a title to it. And those titles, those deeds are now up for grabs on the Internet. And with AI, anybody can transfer it. And you need to have a service that monitors it and protects you from this crime which is growing. It's a stealth crime. And think about it, Emily, for most people, your home is your biggest asset. And if you lose that, you lose everything. It's a terrible crime.
Emily Finn
Yeah, definitely. It's so hard to rebuild after something like that. John Sommer, we so appreciate you joining us and giving us some more information about this. I'm sure a lot of our viewers will find it, it extraordinarily helpful. Thank you. Coming up, we are headed down to Wall street for the opening bell and a look at a smart retreat from Walmart in the immigration wars. We'll be back with more American sunrise in just two minutes.

Tear down that wall, Mr. President. In this particular case, it would be the walls in the West Wing or the East Wing, excuse me, of the White House. You're watching live construction happening as part of the East Wing is being torn down in advance of President Trump building, what he says will be the premier ballroom in the United States. Of course, once it's finished, it will host dignitaries and all sorts of big events there are at the White House. But construction or demolition at this point is underway in advance of the construction of that new ball. We're also getting ready for the opening bell with the New York Stock Exchange. We'll take it to New York for that here in just a few minutes. I can tell you that pre market trading not looking so hot. The Dow and The S P 500 are down, as is the NASDAQ. The rest of our board is looking pretty good. But of course, most of you who are investing will be investing on one of those indices. And so hopefully things will pick up here in just a little bit. We'll take it to New York here in short order. First, let's take you to suburban Washington, D.C. where David Brody is. David, good morning.
David Brody
Good morning, debates. All right. Time now for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. That means it's time to cue Jake Novak, American Sunrise Early Edition host, who has woken up from his Nap after the show. No, you don't take naps. You're from the kind of the area of the city never sleeps. Jake Novak. Never sleeps. And speaking of Frank Sinatra. Did I say Frank. Why did I even say. I didn't even say Frank Sinatra. What am I talking about? All right, let me just start again. By the way, good morning. Have I said good morning to you?
iHeart Advertising Announcer
Good morning.
David Brody
All right, thank you. I'm glad I did. So, as the late Kenny Rogers taught us, you got to know when to hold them, you got to know when to fold them. I guess when it comes to the H1B visa wars, Walmart is definitely folding them. So tell us more, Jake Novak.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, you know, David, Walmart's been working really hard to make himself more of an American company. They've been importing fewer things. If you go to Walmart right now, not everything you buy is going to be made in China or made in Vietnam anymore. So it wasn't looking really good when it turned out they had a lot of these H1B visa workers. What in the heck for? I assume it was for their website and some of their back office stuff, but still, don't tell me there's any coding@walmart.com that a bunch of American born American citizens or naturalized citizens, that's fine too. Couldn't be doing. And so instead of fighting the administration on this, they're just going to get rid of these H1B visa workers and hire American citizens. What a concept. I mean, Walmart, give me a. Brad, listen, it's one thing for big tech or aerospace, but. You're kidding me. I mean, do they need an H1B visa person to stock the shelves? I mean, give me a break, guys. And I'm glad they are.
David Brody
Yeah, Jake on his soapbox, which I agree with. Okay, Obamacare, Jake was supposed to lower the cost of health insurance and reduce the burden of health insurance on employers and employees. I sound like Obama. But not so much. Tell us more.
Terrence Bates
No. And we all knew this was coming. Look, David, the sickest 10% of Americans are responsible for about 70% of the costs. And what Obamacare did was make sure that we all paid for it out of our insurance costs. It's now $27,000 for a family. That's the average cost for a family health care plan. Health insurance plan in America. The Democrats own this. They brought us Obamacare. They brought the contagion of high, very expensive care for very, very sick people onto the rest of us. Hey, I'm willing to pay a little Bit for that, but not a massive increase in my health insurance. This could have been done much more cheaply and been very compassionate to the people who are very sick. Listen, I talked about this. This is 15 years ago. No one listened to us then. Maybe they'll listen to us now when they take a look at how much this is taking out of their paycheck.
David Brody
Yeah, let me ask you this. Normally when you buy a Lamborghini, you essentially buy to kind of impress people and you know, say, hey, look how cool I am. You don't do that with like a Hugo. But anyhow, apparently there's now another reason that has to do with the real sexy extended warranty. Tell us more about.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, I mean, I don't know what Lamborghini is doing here, but they're very proud of the fact that they now have a 10 year warranty on three of their new models. I can just see the guy at the, at the dealership with his supermodel girlfriend. Can you tell me more about the warranty, please? I mean, are you kidding me? People don't buy a Lamborghini for the warranty. What the heck is wrong with them? I mean, they can offer it, but I wouldn't exactly publicize this. Guys are buying Lamborghinis to impress the chicks. Spoiler alert. And I'm not gonna go say, hey, baby, want to check out the warranty on this thing? I mean, it's pathetic. It really is. By the way, I had no idea.
David Brody
You did imitations, which is impressive.
Terrence Bates
I need a warranty before I buy the 700,000car.
David Brody
That is extremely nasally. And I kind of like it.
Terrence Bates
Yeah.
David Brody
All right. Hey, before we go, let's talk about betting here. This is, this is just in right with apparently Chauncey Billups, the head coach of the Portland Trailblazers, and Terry Rosier, a guard from the Miami Heat, charged or excuse me, arrested for some sort of gambling scandal scheme. The FBI. What is going on? This is a big deal in the sports world.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, let's. Let's underline this. An active NBA head coach. Active. Active. Active. Active. Not. Not retired.
David Brody
That's right.
Terrence Bates
And an active NBA player have just been arrested on gambling charges by the feds. Gee, I wonder why all the big sports channels aren't covering it. Because they're all completely in the pockets of these betting app companies. Listen, people are gonna bet. I get it. I'm not a prude. Go ahead and bet. But I don't understand why we have to beat it over the heads of Our children bet, bet, bet, bet, bet all the time with celebrities, and I mean, super multimillionaire celebrities like Jamie Foxx and LeBron James begging me to bet my hard earned money. I mean, it's pathetic. But it's also a journalistic problem because espn, I was watching their live show out of the corner of my eye for not one mention of it. They have it on their website where it's safe. But all their anchors out there are also doing the commercials for the ESPN Bet site. This is journalistic incompetence and a major ethical breach. And God knows this could be the biggest betting scandal since the 1919 World Series was fixed in Chicago. Black Sox scandal. This could be huge. People are going to go to jail for this. And the betting app shares could fall very precipitously when this news comes out on the stock market.
David Brody
I gotta run, man. I have a lot of questions. All right, thanks, Jake. Time for tea in Denver. Opening bell sponsored by amac, the association.
Terrence Bates

All right, maybe I was a little premature in that, but the bell is going to be in here in short order and we'll get an idea of exactly where the market stand. There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The markets are now officially open. And just like that, I can tell you that the Dow Jones is down just a little bit. The S&P 500 is up slightly, and the NASDAQ is down. The rest of the board looking pretty good though right now. As you can see, it's green all the way to the bottom. So hopefully things will change here throughout the day. You just saw some change right there. The NASDAQ is now back in the green, even though it's just about flat. Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily Finn. Thank you so much for joining us this morning. We invite you to join the conversation on Getter and Rumble. Time now to take the political pulse of America and the beat. Today, President Trump's Department of Homeland Security is touting a major crackdown on illegal immigration. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced that nearly half a million illegal aliens have been arrested over the last nine months, most with criminal charges or convictions. At a press conference in Sarasota, Florida, Noem said 70% of those taken into custody had criminal records and promised that federal agents are focused on the worst of the worst. Noem highlights it a series of high profile arrests, including individuals previously convicted of homicide, kidnapping, sexual assault and domestic violence. Let's take a listen.
David Brody
Today marks nine months since President Trump.
Terrence Bates
Has been in office and since he began his work to restore American safety.
Emily Finn
For our families that live here.
Terrence Bates
What he has accomplished for the American.
Emily Finn
People is nothing short of extraordinary.
Terrence Bates
We appreciate, appreciate what he has done to make us safe again, to secure.
David Brody
Our borders and to make sure that.
Emily Finn
He is protecting our people.
Terrence Bates
Since January, the Department of Homeland Security.
Emily Finn
Has arrested over 480,000 criminal illegal aliens. 70% of those individuals have criminal charges against them or have been convicted of those criminal charges. Joining us now with reaction is the host of America's Voice Live and the Steve Gruber Show. Steve Gruber, good morning. Thank you for being with us. You know, Steve, the Trump administration set to shatter deportation records by the end of the year. This is promises made, promises kept. This is exactly what he said he was going to do and he's delivering on it.
Terrence Bates
Yeah. I spoke yesterday at length on both my programs here on Real America's Voice about Did you vote for this? You see this on social media all the time. Donald Trump did this and that. Did you vote for this? Yeah, I did. I voted for this country to have its border secured. And the people that are here illegally committing crimes, certainly those violent offenders and those. I just saw another case, this one out of California, an illegal alien from India driving drunk and an 18 wheeler slammed into a bunch of people here recently, killed a bunch of people, doesn't have legal standing to be here, has a final order of deportation, yet they're still here. Re allowed into the country 2022 during the Biden administration. This has to stop. It has to stop. How many women have to pay the price of being raped or murdered? How many innocent families have to worry about the 18 wheeler coming down the highway at them before we say, that's enough, stop it. Stop giving driver's licenses to those that can't read English, that don't understand road signs, they don't understand our laws, and stop defending all of this. And for the people that are naive enough to say, well, they're not getting benefits, of course they're getting benefits. The government is ripe with fraud. Think otherwise is insane. It really is, Emily. It's just silly. This is what people voted for. They wanted to secure a country. It's being delivered by Donald Trump, by Kristi Noem, by Tom Holman, by all of them. And it's what we want.
Emily Finn
Absolutely, Steve. And you know, even if you didn't vote for this, I think everyone can get on board that these 70% of these criminal illegals that we were talking about, I was reading off that list, homicides, rapes, sexual assault. I mean, these are horrible things that should never happen. I'm happy that you said with women, too, because as a young woman, women, it's terrifying to know that this is going on. And with the Biden administration, we had someone just completely looking away from the safety of young women, especially in this country. It was absolutely infuriating. And Steve, you know, as you know, the Trump administration's crime crackdown has been met with so much resistance from Democratic governors and mayors, it's really hard to, hard to fathom. We're learning now that the administration has filed a motion to dissolve a court order that blocks the deployment of any state's National Guard in Portland, Oregon. Do you see that motion moving forward?
Terrence Bates
Look, here's what's going to happen. People are going to say, enough. Why would the mayor. I use Chicago, easy example of the violence in American cities. We can't make America truly great again unless we save our great cities like New York, like Washington, like Chicago, like San Francisco. The list goes on. In Chicago, they've had almost 2,000 people shot already this year. 2,000. It, it's mind boggling. And the mayor of that city, Brandon Johnson and the governor of that state, J.B. pritzker, say, no, no, no, no. We don't want the National Guard here. That would be tyrannical. No, what's tyrannical is allowing drug gangs to roam around the streets of South Chicago and murder people. What's Tyrannical is allowing people to live in fear every day in their neighborhoods because the police are understaffed and by the way, insulted every single day by the mayor and the governor. Law enforcement, insulted. Look, look, what is tyrannical is not allowing people to live safe, healthy, happy, prosperous lives. Two thousand people shot in Chicago. Just let that sink in for a minute, folks. This is what we don't want in America. We don't want lawlessness. We don't want murders. We don't want people like Emily living in fear when you walk down a street in certain neighborhoods because the police aren't there to help. And if you do call the police, well, maybe they'll be there in half an hour. Maybe they'll be there in an hour. If they show up at all. This is not what we want in America. We are better than this. Look at the numbers. I think it's 15 homicides in Washington, D.C. since August 11th. That equates to less than 70 homicides a year. We haven't had a period like this in Washington, D.C. since I've been alive. Does the National Guard work? You're damn right it does. And it makes a difference in these cities. And we're gonna see it happen in Memphis, we'll see happen in New Orleans, we're gonna see it happen in Chicago, whether they like it or not. And we're probably gonna see it happen in San Francisco, kicking and screaming all the way to a safer city. I mean, how can you defend the lawlessness? I don't know what Democrats stand for. Do they stand for murder? Do they stand for rape? Do they stand for carjacking? Do they stand for violent offenses committed not just by illegals, but by people living there as well? It's time for the three strike law to be brought back in this country. Three strikes.
Emily Finn
Three strikes and you're out.
Terrence Bates
That's where you're at.
Emily Finn
Steve Gruber, thank you so much for joining us today. David, let me send this over to you in D.C. now.
David Brody
Let'S talk about taxes. Now, tax season may still be months away. Then again, if you pay quarterly, it's like all the time. But financial experts say now is the perfect time to start planning. From smart deductions to overlooked credits and grants, there are real simple ways to lower your tax bill before it's too late. And that's why we're excited about the new book by the founder and CEO of Engineer Tax Services. That would be Julio Gonzalez. Let's take a look.
Terrence Bates
The wealthy and well connected have always had access to Secret secrets that gave them advantages the rest of us never knew existed. Tax breaks, exclusive strategies, hidden grants, and opportunities only shared behind closed doors. But what if you could use the same leverage they do now? You can. We can help you access the grants and opportunities that only the connected usually receive. And it all starts with a free book from best selling author, Julio Gonzalez. He's done it on taxes, he's done it on grants. And now Julio Gonzalez is ready to share his secrets with you. Don't get left behind. Scan the QR code on your screen or text ETS to 26786 right now to find out how we can help you learn the tricks of the wealthy and start getting, getting ahead today.
David Brody
And look who joins me now. Julio Gonzalez is here. He's joined by the vice president of community affairs for Engineered Tax Services. He's also the author of the book Duke Got Life, A Boxer Fight for Freedom and One Last Shot at Redemption. That'd be Charles Duke Tanner. Both of you guys, hey, thanks for being here. Good morning to you. Julio, let me start with you. You say you have this plan to help Americans lower their taxes in 60 days. So tell us about that.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, 60 days. So there's a lot of individuals that dismiss some of the most simplest tax deductions. So I just wanted to share a few of those this morning. One thing, you know, I tell people is go through your house, go through your closets.
David Brody
If there's something you're not using, you.
Terrence Bates
Know, whether it's clothes or anything in the garage, give that to charity because that can be a great charitable write off for your taxes. You're not using the things anyway. Also, you know, remember in our new tax code, we can pay our children up to a certain level and get that as a tax write off. And they're not taxed on that amount either. So those are some quick deductions. Also, a lot of people now working from home and not taking advantage of the home office tax deductions, which I think are really important to take advantage of. Also, you know, when you're driving, you have the mileage tax deductions.
David Brody
So a lot of people working from home and driving to appointments. I want to make sure we talk about those.
Terrence Bates
Sometimes we have service pets and service.
David Brody
Animals and we can take advantage of those type of tax write offs.
Terrence Bates
So there's a lot of little ones that we have that add up to a lot. And I could go on and on. There's probably 2,000 in the book. But I wanted to share those real quick with You.
David Brody
Oh, that's great. Yeah. Too bad we don't have time for 2000, though. That would be a good idea. Hey, Duke, you've got a new position at Engineered Tax Services. Tell us what you're doing, what kind of grants taxpayers should be looking for this season. Good morning to you.
Terrence Bates
Oh, man. Good morning, man. You know, we're gonna praise God always first. Since I was last on the show, man, Julio talked and, you know, he said that, you know, he wanted to make me the vice president of community affairs to go out to reach to our communities and teach them grant equality as well as t tax equality, and then, you know, open the hidden doors to all of this funding and these different grants. To be Honest, I did 50 of them yesterday, so I'm super excited. They got the reports. The reports are free coming from Engineer Tax Services. So we provide them with the reports, and then we go ahead and continue to teach them how to do the grants as well. And it's amazing. And what's the most important part? A lot of people, they just don't know. So for us to enlighten them and me to play a role in that, I mean, I'm so thankful for Julio and the team and the rest of the team at Engineer Tax Services, because it's not just one of us. We all work together as a collective.
David Brody
Yeah. Hey, how does that work, by the way, Duke? Exactly. So in other words, like, so you go into the communities. Is it kind of like a presentation? Is it kind of like just one on one conversations? Like, how does that kind of work itself out? Like, what's the best way to reach people? Like, how do you get them the information?
Terrence Bates
You know, Julio we taking advantage of always. And that's the difference between Julio, you know, he's a real true boss to this game. He the guru. Like, he's going into the neighborhoods with me. He said, hey, listen, I fly over to D.C. you want to talk to some people? And, you know, let's talk to these smaller firms and teach them because they are the ones with the smaller businesses that needs these different tools. So therefore, we can uplift these more power communities. But we're using social media. You know, we. We have a speaking engagement. You know, we talking to the different churches and, And. And we just extending our hand, you know, and we. We making this something that. That's going to help change America with this.
David Brody
That's fantastic. All right, guru, you get the last word. What do you want to say to everybody out there in terms of where they can get more information and maybe some one of your last 2000 tips or whatever you want to say. You've got the last word.
Terrence Bates
Okay, listen, go to tax reform expert on any social media Instagram. We put a lot of tips on there about how to use last minute tax ideas to lower the taxes and we have a lot of ideas on how to take advantage of grants for your businesses, your communities, your non profits, your churches. So just look us up and hopefully that's helpful to everyone in these last 60 days.
David Brody
Very nice. Not Batman and Robin, but a great dynamic duo on Dallas this morning, Julio Gonzalez, Duke Tanner, thanks for being here. Great stuff. Guys.
Terrence Bates
Guys, thank you so much. And thank you so much, guys. And I want to like to tell Julio something. I got a surprise for him and I might as well do it on national tv. I believe this last achievement of me getting the vice president spot landed me to be awarded as the champion of America from America's Future. And I'm gonna be presented to the award December 16th at Mar a Lago. So I just want to let Julio know that we're really moving forward and we're doing great things. And that's a surprise for you, champ. So I believe I spoke to the people, they said once I became the vice president and we were doing all these grants to help the different communities, they said they had to do it for me and I won the award.
David Brody
Oh, that's just wonderful. Congratulations, Duke. And boy, I tell you what, we had you on last time about your life story and God is good and where you are today all the time.
Terrence Bates
That's right.
David Brody
Did I forget that part? All the time. All right, thanks a lot, guys. Appreciate it. Good stuff coming up. Speaking of good stuff, let me transition to bad stuff. Former press secretary and current MSNBC host Jen Psaki stirring up some drama. She's targeting Vice President J.D. vance and his wife. We're going to show you what she said next. You don't want to miss it. Back in a moment.

All right folks, let's get right into what's in the cup today. And we're talking about former White House press secretary and current MSNBC host Jen Psaki. Mocking remarks make or making mocking remarks suggesting that Usha Vance may be scared of her husband, Vice President J.D. vance. In a podcast appearance, Psaki said that Vance was, quote, scarier than Trump and offered to save Usha Vance if she blinked four times. Conservatives immediately calling those comments out, saying they're vile and disgusting, even accusing mainstream media of targeting a patriotic family. In case you missed the remarks, here they are.
iHeart Advertising Announcer
I think the little Manchurian candidate, JD Vance wants to be president more than Anything else? Yeah, I always wonder what's going on.
Emily Finn
In the mind of his wife.
Terrence Bates
Like, are you okay?
iHeart Advertising Announcer
Please blink four times. Yes, we'll come over here. We'll. We'll save you. And that he's willing to do anything to get there.
Terrence Bates
That attack comes as Vance continues to rise in the MAGA movement and supporters, of course, say that it shows how the left will go after pretty much anyone who stands with Donald Trump. Let's bring in a couple other folks to talk a bit more about this. David, I can't. I can't really, like, it's just too much. It's just too much. I'm sorry.
David Brody
I think she was trying to make a joke, you know, which didn't go over well and, you know, honestly. Well, let me, let me do a disclaimer here. And I think I've said this on the show before, but I'll do it again. I'm not going to say a bad word about Jen Psaki. You know, here's why. She helped our family out in a time where we really needed her to help out. And I'll just leave it at that. I don't want to get into too many other details here on the show, but so I'll be forever grateful for something she did for our family. So I'm not going to ever trash her. I won't do it. I'm loyal like that. Having said that, I totally disagree with everything, you know, she stands for as it relates to public policy positions, and she knows that. And I've known Jen for about 15 years. So look, I mean, I don't agree with anything she had to say there, obviously, but I'm not gonna pile on or trash her on this. But having said that, that doesn't mean I can't call out when someone I believe is wrong. And I thought she was wrong to do that. And though I think she was trying to be a little bit cute there and it got blown up.
Terrence Bates
Emily. Emily. Okay, so let's take the premise that this was a joke. Certain things are just out of bounds in my mind. Agreeing after family members, kids in particular. Kids are absolutely off, off the table. Don't go after kids. But going after a family member or wife who hasn't really done anything for me is out of bounds. How do you see it, Emily?
Emily Finn
I think it is absolutely a classless comment from Jen Psaki there. But I will say I was scrolling through X just, just a couple moments ago before this segment here and a reporter had asked the vice president to respond to Jen Psaki. And he said, look, he had that same reaction that you had, Terrence. Like my God, he made a face and he said, look, my wife can speak for herself. And honestly, as a woman, that's all he needed to say. I think that he obviously gives her respect if he says something like that.
David Brody
Well, I also don't understand, I also don't understand the comment. I mean, like what is she saying? Because she's a woman that is not like this white woman or something. Like was there racial stuff going on there too? Like therefore she has to be a Democrat. Like what was she saying? What is she trying to imply there?
Terrence Bates
In my mind, it was just out of bounds. And yeah, leave the joking to the comedians. Still to come here on American sunrise after eight centuries sealed in stone, the remains of St. Francis of Assisi are set to go on display ahead, while millions of people are preparing to make the Pilgrim that's next.

Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Emily Finn. Thank you so much for tuning in and joining us throughout the morning. It is time now for some uplifting news, especially for the faithful. The mortal remains of St Francis of Assisi, one of the most beloved figures in Christian history, will be placed on public display. The unprecedented exposition marking 800 years since his death, will open in February 2026 inside the Basilica of St Francis in Assisi, Italy. With the blessing of Pope Leo, the saints remains will be moved from their sealed tomb beneath the basilica to the foot of the papal altar for one month, offering millions of pilgrims a rare chance to pray in the presence of the man who inspired a global movement of peace, humility and care for creation. Organizers say the event, titled San Francisco Francisco Rather Lives Sorry, is meant to renew reflection on the enduring legacy of the saint who called humanity to live in harmony with one another and with the natural world. For more, let's bring back David Brody and Terrance Bates. Terrance, my Italian wasn't very good there, unfortunately, San Francesca, but he. There you go. He said it much better than I did, much better than I did. But I think this is so exciting. Obviously, he lived such an incredible life and I think it's awesome that they are honoring him, you know.
Terrence Bates
And what I find most cool about all of this and most exciting, particularly for the faithful, is that this bridges history and the Bible. This, not that he's necessarily a biblical figure, but this bridges kind of history and faith, let's put it that way. I think that's probably a better way to put it. And it brings them together, it makes it more real. And it goes to show that there are people who walked the faithful path and who are appreciated for it well after their death. And hopefully it inspires people of faith to live better today as opposed to, you know, trying to say, oh, well, I'll, I'll do what's right in the afterlife. Afterlife? No, do what's right now and get to the afterlife. David, just my, my two cents.
David Brody
Yeah, I don't really know much about the saints. What's the stuff with the animals? What's going on there? What's. I, I don't know. I. Is he's, Is this something about a saint with. It's, I don't know I. I'm trying to.
Terrence Bates
Do you know more about this, Emily?
Emily Finn
I'm sorry. I got a couple people in my ear right now. I had a hard time hearing that.
David Brody
I see animals a lot with him. I don't know the. I don't. I'm trying to understand that story. I don't know anymore about that. Just curious.
Emily Finn
Believe that he did a lot of miracles with animals. He's the patron saint of a lot of things.
David Brody
I see.
Terrence Bates
Okay.
David Brody
Yeah, I don't know anything about the saints, any of that, so that's interesting.
Terrence Bates
Again, just briefly, my point is, I like the idea of having a real life figure that people can relate to in hopes of guiding their own spiritual walk.
Emily Finn
Absolutely. All right. Great show, you guys. Thank you so much to all of our viewers for tuning in. War Room is up next. Go boldly now.
David Brody
You know what your customers are doing right this second?
Terrence Bates
