Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina.
Terrence Bates
Good Monday morning, everyone. I'm Terence Bates coming to you from our Denver newsroom. As always, it is good to start the week with you. Let's bring in David Brody. He's in Washington, D.C. jake Novak filling in for Dr. Gina in New York. Gentlemen, good morning. It is man show Monday. So happy to start this work week with you, too.
David Brody
Good morning. And you know, Jake, if you stick around for Tuesday, it'll be testosterone Tuesday. We are looking forward to having you here on the show, my friend.
Jake Novak
Thank you. This is welcome to the He Man Women Haters Club with Alfalfa, Spanky, Terrence, David and Jake. Today we're going to be talking about how Darla didn't dance with us last night and went out. No, seriously, look, it happens every once in a while. We're not trying to get rid of the female voices on this program. They just, you know, things happen. But we promise to, we promise to get in touch with our feminine side at some point in this program, but probably not right now.
David Brody
Nice darling reference off the top, by the way.
Terrence Bates
Classic TV right there, I'm telling you. Hey, guys. So look, we are obviously in the middle of the second longest government shutdown ever. It's going to soon be the longest if it continues to rage on. And at this point, it doesn't look like there's any end in sight. This headline from the Hill reads, discussed with lawmakers may lead GOP Democrats to seek into shutdown. The shutdown is going to hit day 30 this week. GOP pollster says the Dems are playing a weak hand. Guys, I'm sorry, I'm just not seeing any end in sight. I hope there will be an end and I hope there's going to be pressure on Democrats to turn from their wicked ways, if you will, but I just don't see it happening, Jake.
Jake Novak
No. And look, I falsely incorrectly predicted a couple of weeks ago that they would end it last. Not this last weekend, but the weekend before that. It seems to me the Democrats are hoping that there's some pain that everyone notices and then they'll start thinking about shutting it down. You know, you're not doing a good thing with your government shutdown when there has to be a headline every day reminding people that there's a government shutdown. With the exception of some federal workers, most of America is still not talking about this again. What if you throw a shutdown party, David, and no one comes? I mean, that's really what this feels like to me.
David Brody
Yeah, they're not talking about it now for sure, and they haven't been talking about it. But post November 1, the week of November 3, I think that's when more people will be talking about it. Snap's going to run out. You got wit going on. You've got the Obamacare premiums that will. We'll start to hear stories about how those premiums, premiums are going up big time because the enrollment period starts November 1st. So November 3rd, which is a Monday, I think that week is when we'll start to, I think, start to hear talk about this, quote, loose framework that Republicans and Democrats are starting to come to eventually on Obamacare subsidies, which basically means there is no framework. But it is a way out for Democrats to say, see, we agree. They agreed to a loose framework. We did it. Base. We did it. No, you didn't. That framework is nothing when it's loose. But I think that's kind of where this is going. We'll see, guys.
Brian Glenn
We'll see.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, no, I've got a story coming up a little bit later talking about those SNAP benefits running out. And I'm with you, David. I think once you're main, you know, and I'm not going to say you're mainstream, average American, but what's you're seeing, more Americans really feel the impact of the shutdown. And they do start calling and, you know, start protesting that, I think that's going to urge some lawmakers, particularly Democrats, to say, okay, enough is enough. We got to do something. We shall see, though. We, of course, will be here covering it all. Guys, let's get to our Bible verse really quickly, if you don't mind. Not trying to rush the Bible verse, but it is a short one this morning. It's from Psalm 32. 8. It reads, I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with my eye. Very short and sweet. Follow God. If he is guiding, you should follow. All right, folks, President Trump slated to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping later this week. And Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant laying out what he has been, what's been going on.
David Brody
And I think we've reached a substantial.
Terrence Bates
Framework for the two leaders who will meet in Korea next Thursday.
David Brody
So, you know, on the, on the table, the president had given me maximum.
Brian Glenn
Leverage when he threatened 100% tariffs if.
David Brody
The Chinese imposed their rare earth global export controls.
Brian Glenn
So I think we have averted that.
David Brody
So the tariffs will be averted.
Terrence Bates
And we have a regular meeting, regular.
David Brody
Quarterly meeting with the Chinese. It was scheduled for November 10th or before November 10th. I don't think we will have to have that. So we have been rolling the tariffs quarterly. So we agreed on that. We also agreed on substantial agriculture purchases for US Farmers. We agreed that the Chinese would begin to help us with the precursor chemicals for this terrible fentanyl epidemic that's ravaging our country.
Terrence Bates
For more, let's bring in rav chief White House correspondent Brian Glenn. Brian, what can you tell us about this upcoming meeting? First of all, I guess good morning. I apologize for being good morning to you. But after the good morning in the nice cities, what can you tell us about this upcoming meeting and can you offer some more perspective?
Brian Glenn
Well, I think it's obviously something we knew was coming. President Trump is the art of the deal. He can make this deal. And when we saw all of the kind of aggressive language weeks ago, months ago, talking about what the potential tariff would be on China and him increasing it, every single time the language out of China got a little bit more aggressive. We thought, well, how is this thing going to end? Well, I tell you how it's going to end. It's going to end when President Trump meets with him later this week. Cuts that deal, secures those rare earth minerals, really secure all of the trade deals. And by the way, didn't even know he solved a, a war conflict that we had between I guess Thailand and Cambodia, did that a couple of days ago. So it's been a very successful trip so far to Asia and it will only continue. But even dropping on Air Force One.
Terrence Bates
A little Hint that he'd be open.
Brian Glenn
Meeting with Kim Jong Un, which is. Well, that would be pretty historic as well in itself.
David Brody
No doubt, Brian. By the way, welcome to the Manly 4 box. The quad box this morning. 3 minute baby has nothing on us. Exact. All right, so just the news has this headline out. It's all over the place. Trump announcing this 10% increase in tariffs on Canada. Trump ended talk trade talks obviously with our northern neighbors, though we're not too friendly with them right about now. Where is this going, Brian? Because my understanding is Reagan ad that had all the controversy will stop airing in Canada today, though it did air in the World Series over the weekend, which ticked Trump off even more.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, and they got word that it ticked Trump off even more from the very beginning. So why they let it to allow to air in the World Series, I don't know. Which by the way, if you can get a World series ad for $75,000, I think that's quite the bargain at this rate. But nevertheless, Carney was put in the penalty box, to use a cocky term there, as he should be. And I know that we talked about this on Friday, how he wasn't solely responsible for authorizing that, but if anybody puts out any kind of a message that reflects a country as a whole, they the top should be held accountable for that. We'll see where it goes from here. I like to see a little friendly rivalry maybe. If the LA Dodgers win, the tariff is this, if the Blue Jays win the tariff is this. Why not just give it up to baseball right now? They, you know, that's one sport we haven't seen get caught up in gambling here lately. So why not reward tariff talks to the good old American pastime of baseball. But I think that's Trump being Trump there, you know, using, using everything he can against. I mean it's a poor taste ad. What they did that was in poor taste and it wasn't in full transparency. It was kind of a patchwork of a message. But why not let baseball decide?
Jake Novak
Well, I'm going to use a hockey term, Brian. Hosers. You Canadians are hosers because they're the most protectionist country. They are the most protectionist country against the United States. They're petty. I have loved ones there. I can't send birthday presents to them without going through jumping through a million hoops. I can't stand their trade policies.
Brian Glenn
I was gonna say at one point during COVID I went across the bridge, tried to get into Canada without my vaccine passport. I was detained for eight to 10 hours in a small little room, got interrogated. So I haven't necessarily been back to Canada, although I went to the. The G7 summit. So I'm staying away from Canada right now. I might be on the do not travel list there.
Jake Novak
Don't try to send a package there, because we will see you for weeks. Finally, Brian, a former vice president and 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, or we should say inserted candidate here, Kamala Harris. She hasn't ruled out a 2028 run. Watch this.
David Brody
That is correct.
Jake Novak
I am not done.
Sam Sorbo
I have lived my entire career, a life of service, and it's in my bones. And there are many ways to serve. I've not decided yet what I will do in the future beyond what I am doing right now. But you've been very clear that it's a possibility you might run again to become president. And in my experience interviewing politicians, when someone says I'm not done, it means they are thinking seriously about running. But when you look at the bookies odds, they put you as an outsider, even behind Dwayne the Rock Johnson. I mean, is that underestimating you? I think there are all kinds of polls that will tell you a variety of things. I've never listened to polls.
David Brody
If I listen to polls, I would.
Sam Sorbo
Have not run for my first office or my second office, and I certainly wouldn't be sitting here in this interview.
Jake Novak
Brian, of all the odious things career politicians say, the one that bothers me the most is when they insist on being called public servants. This is not a public servant. She's not a servant to me. She's a. I'm. She's trying to make me her servant. I can't stand that. They also think that they're entitled to run for office forever and ever and ever. They don't get the hint.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, well, first of all, the fact that we're going to listen to a bookie to indicate whether or not someone could win a political election.
Terrence Bates
That's the first mistake.
Brian Glenn
Second of all, there is many ways to serve. I've said ever since I got into this business, you don't have to aim to be a congressman, a senate, any kind of higher office.
Terrence Bates
Go be your local school board member.
Brian Glenn
Your city council member. In her fact, she could be the dog catcher. Just do something that you're good at. Do you bring it down to a local level? So for. For her to think that she needs to come out with another presidential campaign, I think that's. I think that's completely wrong. Go a little bit lower.
Terrence Bates
Kamala.
Brian Glenn
Maybe start at your local level. I know that city, San Francisco needs some help cleaning up. Maybe go a city council member. There's, I don't know. But if she wants to serve the community, let's start a little bit lower.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, absolutely. I don't see her trying to run. I think she's just trying to stay relevant.
David Brody
Yep.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, there's not much of a chance. I just don't see it. But we shall see. Brian, always good to talk to you, my friend. Appreciate you being here with us.
Brian Glenn
Thank you. Appreciate it.
David Brody
Thanks, Brian.
Brian Glenn
Have a good day.
Terrence Bates
Thanks so much. All right, folks, we're going to take a quick break. When we come back, more on that hot on the hot headlines from our RAV newsroom. That's coming up. And then let's later. President Trump is likely getting a bit of rest right now after touching down in Japan just a little while ago. He's set to participate in a bilateral meeting with the country's new prime minister tonight, our time. This will be the first time between President. The first meeting, excuse me, between President Trump and Prime Minister Sanay Takiachi. The two shared a phone call over the weekend during which Takayachi told her American counterpart that strengthening the alliance between her country and the United States is her government's top priority. The commander in chief, AKA the peacemaker in chief, started his Asian tour in Malaysia, where he signed the Cambodia, Thailand peace treaty. We're going to try to show you some video of that signing here in a little bit. It is one of many deals the president has brokered in order to end wars around the globe. There's the peace treaty signing. Meantime, the effects of the ongoing shutdown are beginning to ratchet up on American taxpayers and travelers. For instance, the Department of Agriculture says unless the government reopens between now and Saturday, there will be no food aid distribution on November 1st. Plus, the Trump administration says it won't tap into about $5 billion in contingency funds to keep the Supplemental Nutrition Aspect Assistance Program, or SNAP as it's known, up and running. Democrats asked Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins to use those funds. The program helps about one in nine Americans buy groceries. In its post announcing the end of benefits, the USDA writes, quote, bottom line, the well is run dry at this time. There will be no benefits issued November 1st. We are approaching an inflection point for Senate Democrats. The shutdown is also causing problems at airports from coast to coast. LAX was forced into a ground stop for departing flights thanks to air traffic control staffing shortages. Air traffic controllers are working without getting paid due to the shutdown. Staffing related delays were also reported in Chicago, Washington and Newark, New Jersey over the weekend. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is warning travelers to expect to expect flight delays and cancellations in the coming days. Ultimately, he says it comes down to safety.
Brian Glenn
My job is to keep the airspace safe.
David Brody
And so if I don't feel like.
Brian Glenn
I have enough controllers or enough controllers that are focused, we will slow down.
David Brody
Traffic, we will stop traffic.
Brian Glenn
And that's why you see the delays in the system. And the job number one is again.
David Brody
Get people to where they're going safely. And if it's not on time, well.
Brian Glenn
Call the Democrats, call Chuck Schumer.
David Brody
If you're frustrated that you have a.
Brian Glenn
Staffing shortage and your flight's three hours delayed or your flight is canceled, call Chuck, call Senate Democrats because this is the reason why.
Terrence Bates
And right now, that government shutdown is the second longest in history and quickly moving towards being the longest. We'll, of course, continue to cover that time. Now though, to get a quick check of your coast to coast forecast with Weather Nation meteorologist Tracy Anthony. By the way, you can scan the QR code which is right there at the bottom of your screen. And stay connected with Tracy and our Weather Nation family. Tracy, good morning. I'm looking at all that video. Is that Jamaica mine, not Tyree right now?
Sam Sorbo
Yeah.
Tracy Anthony
You know, this video actually from the Dominican Republic, they started feeling the impacts of Melissa a little bit sooner this weekend with some water rescues of some animals there. This is Jamaica, though, Montego Bay. We're starting to see the weather conditions really deteriorate here for Jamaica as this storm system inches closer and closer. You can see, here's a look at Kingston. You can tell visibility on the low side just because of the moisture that's starting to work on through. And the winds are just going to get more aggressive here over the next several hours. So this hurricane is now a Category 5 storm. You can see a very well defined eye, very powerful with winds of 160 miles per hour. So moving very slowly. But it's going to make a turn to the north, expected to make landfall in southern Jamaica here throughout the evening hours today into early Tuesday morning. So, Terrence, this is going to be a potentially catastrophic situation for Jamaica where the National Hurricane center calling for potentially 40 inches of rain.
Terrence Bates
Hey, Tracy, just really quickly because this is such a big storm. Is there a long term threat potentially for the United States even in terms of maybe just rip currents and that kind of thing? Or is it still so far away that we don't have anything to worry about here?
Tracy Anthony
You know, that's really what we could worry about is just some beach hazards with rip currents. This storm system is going to take a turn to the Northeast and then it could impact the Bahamas, but then go out into the Atlantic.
Terrence Bates
All right, thanks so much, Tracy. We'll check in with you next hour. By the way, folks, head on over to the Real America's Voice chats on Get a rumble and YouTube. Let us know where you are because in our next hour, you may be one of our lucky viewers who gets a hometown forecast from Tracy Live right here on American Sunrise. So do that and see if you don't get chosen. All right, folks, up next, President Trump on his trip to Asia right now. So could he meet with Kim Jong Un owned during this trip? We'll examine the possibility. First, though, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date in 2004 that the Boston Red Sox broke the curse of the Bambino by winning their first World Series since 1918. The Red Sox sold baseball legend Babe Ruth to their rival New York Yankees in 1920 and that was when the drought started. The Sox came back from a three game to zero hole in the ALCS and then beat the St. Louis Cardinals to break the curse. More American Sunrise coming your way in two minutes. Take me out with the crow, buy.
David Brody
Me some peanuts and practice.
Terrence Bates

That is the White House. Nobody's home. I'm not talking about Joe Biden. The president is overseas, obviously in Asia. All right, welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. New movement in Gaza, kind of asterisk, whatever. Hamas says it's searching for hostages, or what's left of them. Thirteen bodies have still not been recovered and sent back to Israel. Egyptian crews are moving in with heavy gear, all tied to this ceasefire that, let's be honest, is barely. Barely holding on for now. Joining us now is Frank Gaffney, the executive chair of the center for Security Policy, the author of the indictment. Frank, thanks for being here. So this search by Hamas. There's the book. Gotta go out and get that. By the way, go to Amazon. The search by Hamas. What's really going on here, Frank? We hear search. I mean, come on. Should we read between the lines here? Help us through this a little bit. Good morning.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, just a quick clarification. I'm with the Institute for the American Future. Now, what's going on, I think, is what has been going on anytime throughout history that Muslim combatants have been losing, and that is that they engage in something called a hudna. We interpret that as a ceasefire, a truce, even perhaps the makings of a peace agreement. But we do so at our peril. Because hudna, by definition, going back literally to Mount Hamid's day, is simply a moment when, rather than risk losing, the Muslim side agrees to a pause that permits them to regroup, rearm, and then re engage under more favorable circumstances. And I think what Hamas is doing is jerking Israel around on these hostages. They were supposed to have been released. Even the bodies, you know, 72 hours after Israel agreed to enter into this exercise and they're dragging this out, I feel very certain, and I know Israeli intelligence does, that the Hamas Niks have a pretty good idea where a lot of these bodies are. I'm concerned when I see heavy equipment turning up in Hamas controlled Gaza and it is still Hamas controlled Gaza. Another thing we were told wouldn't be the case any longer. That will probably wind up moving not so much debris to find hostages, but probably debris to move openings to tunnels which will be used in the post Hudna period to re engage against Israel.
Terrence Bates
Okay, so I want to talk a bit more about the Hudna. I did want to go. And we will at some point in time move to President Trump's trip in Asia, but let's broaden the scope then. This isn't just about Hamas. It's about the other Muslim countries in the region. Do you see them being genuine in their stance, if you will, their position on peace for the region? Or are they also. Do you see this being in a Hutna kind of state where they're just lying in wait, if you will?
Brian Glenn
Well, you have to be a little careful about generalizing. I think, honestly, the Saudis and the United Arab Emirates are genuine about wanting a peace with Israel, a proper peace with Israel. The UAE has a Abraham Accord. The Saudis, I think, would like to have one. But they're also warning about what others, notably the Qataris and the Egyptians and the Turks, not Arabs, but the Turks are in this mix. Muslim nations that seemingly are intent on helping Hamas survive and return to the fight and perhaps do so with their help in Gaza, which is a whole new level of threat facing Israel. I think that it is a mixed bag, gentlemen, and we are ignoring again, this double game, really, that some, not all, some of the folks we're told are now determined to have peace, an enduring peace in the Middle east and end 3,000 years of war and all the rest of it. I just don't think that's the case, unfortunately.
Jake Novak
Frank, President Trump could. Let's get to some other members of the Legion of Doom. Trump could be heading for a potential meeting with North Korea's Kim Jong Un during his Asian trip, which is going on right now. Is there a possible win here? I mean, what would it look like? I mean, Kim Jong Un showing some respect. We haven't seen him launch a rocket in a long time. Maybe we should just extend this winning streak right now and agree to keep things as the status quo.
Brian Glenn
Look, the big news here, I think is what has been taking place in the part of the Korean peninsula south of the demilitarized zone. The election recently of President Lee, a radical, I mean communist supporter of North Korea and of China, by the way, is changing the dynamic there in a way that I think is fraud. Honestly. The unification minister also, I believe radical left, is pressing for this meeting. I think that the North Koreans and more to the point, the Chinese Communist Party that has propped up Kim Jong Un and his dynasty, his predecessors for years, are very much of the view that they may be able to engineer at long last the removal of U.S. troops from South Korea on the basis perhaps of some peace treaty between the north and the south that will effectively turn the entire peninsula over to communists. Because that's what President Lee is. It's one thing to meet and to talk and all that jaw, jaw, jaw, as Churchill famously put it. But I think we should be under no illusion that what is happening in that particular peninsula is a momentous sea change, if you will, that is moving against our interests and possibly will translate into the Chinese being persuaded that this is the moment to move against Taiwan because they've neutralized the Korean peninsula in terms of it being kind of a flank that is exposed to US Troops and power.
David Brody
Well, that requires six and a half follow up questions, but we're out of time. Frank, we're have to have you back. We appreciate it.
Brian Glenn
Thanks. I'd love to. God bless you all.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Frank.
David Brody
All right, thanks Frank. Coming up, what health benefits do consuming warmer foods and drinks have? Well, that's an interesting tease. You know what, I'm going to stick around for that. I think I'm going to be here. We have some astonishing new details next on American Sunrise.

Good morning, Connecticut. This is New London, Connecticut, not to be confused with old London. For those of you waking up in this area, good morning to you. We appreciate you being here with us for American Sunrise. Hi everyone. I'm Terrence Bates. As always, it is a pleasure. And it is now time for today's health news, which is sponsored by the Wellness Company under the Microscope. Today, warm foods and drinks and how they can help anxiety and insomnia. There's a new study from San Diego State University which finds that people who consume more warm foods and drinks report less anxiety, depression and insomnia versus those who like cold food and drinks. The study looked at 400 adults across the country and explored consuming hot items versus cold items and how it affected mood, sleep and digestion. The people who consumed more warm items reported less issues than the people who consumed cold items. Interesting study there. In the meantime, there's a new administration in Washington, D.C. that's brought a lot of positive changes when it comes to fiscal fixing our broken health care system. The reality is, however, that there's only so much the government can do and that if we really want to make America healthy again, it starts at home and with each and every one of us. That's where the Wellness Company comes in, though. You see and hear from TWC doctors all the time on this network and you know their products are the gold standard for keeping you and your family safe and healthy. The Wellness Company gives you the opportunity to make sure that you're prepared for whatever happens with their series of prescription medical kits, Kits that contain an assortment of life saving medications and guidebooks to assist in the proper use of the medications inside. Additionally, the wellness company offers a variety of products from parasite cleanses to methylene blue to weight loss and so much more that can really help you stay healthy and live a longer and more satisfying life. So make America Health healthy again because it starts at your home. Do your part and protect the health of you and your family. You can start by going to TWC Health RAV today and placing an order. That's TWC Health RAV. Use the promo code RAV to save 10%. All right, let's get you back over to David. David, good morning, man. I'm sorry, but when you were doing the Jamaica tease earlier, I was like, come on, give me the Jamaican voice. Give me the Jamaican voice, man.
David Brody
Come on. Yeah, that's all I got. Let's cue some Bob Marley, mon. Alright, thank you. All right now. Oh my goodness. I can't believe you had me do that. See, but only you can make me do that. But you did it. All right now over to the Supreme Court where they have agreed to have a private conference call on November 7th to decide whether to hear this huge case that could result in overturning the so called right for same sex marriage. The case is being brought by former Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis who denied marriage licenses to same sex couples following the 2015 ruling on the issue of same sex marriage. She did it because same sex marriage is in, wait for it direct conflict with her Christian faith. What a shocking development there. For more, let's bring in producer, actress, education, freedom advocate and all around just swell person. That would be Sam Sorbo. Sam, great to have you here on the show. So Matt Staver, who of course is the lawyer there for Kim Davis, says that this 2015 Oberfeld decision has no basis in the Constitution whatsoever. And so this is a pretty big deal if the Supreme Court takes this case. I'm wondering about your thoughts here. Good morning to you.
Sam Sorbo
Well, good morning and it's a pleasure to be here with that lovely introduction. This case is really interesting because the government sort of took over marriage when they offered a tax break or a tax incentive for married individuals and they made it a state institution as opposed to what it had been for millennia a religious institution. And so now we are really with.
Dr. Gina
A conflict of definition of the term marriage.
Sam Sorbo
And I think that's really where this whole thing stems. So it'll be interesting to see where The Supreme Court comes down on that, and I.
Dr. Gina
My hopes are not high, but I.
Sam Sorbo
Suppose we should all be watching with intensity. It was interesting, this most recent case with the Supreme Court, Mahmoud versus The State of Maryland, when the Supreme Court ruled that, in fact, the state of Maryland not only could teach LGBTQ sex stuff in the schools, but that parents had the right to opt out. And we celebrated that right as if that was the win, when, in fact, it's not because the schools now have codified into basically law of the land that they will be teaching that stuff, which is an alternate religion in our schools. I see this whole thing coming to a head with the state of the schools and religion in general.
Brian Glenn
Yeah.
Terrence Bates
Back and back. Take in all of what's happening. I think it's probably fair to say that there was a cultural revolution here in the last 10 minutes, but it's not 10 minutes. 10 years or so. I apologize, but I had no idea. I know. I wasn't even paying attention. Ten years or so. But it seems to me that the pendulum is now swinging back the other way. And I think it's probably also fair to say that that's largely been ushered in by President Trump. How do you see it?
Sam Sorbo
Well, I will say that, you know, I'm here on behalf of Parents Demanding justice alliance, which is a group that I formed, formed to defend the parents and to restore parents who were attacked.
Dr. Gina
By their school boards and by their.
Sam Sorbo
School institutions and also local law enforcement.
Dr. Gina
Based on Merrick Garland determining that they.
Sam Sorbo
Should be treated as domestic terrorists and engaging the FBI in such treatment that destroyed lives. These are. These are parents who were just standing up for their kids. One of them in particular, we're really.
Dr. Gina
Fighting for because, well, we're fighting for all of them.
Sam Sorbo
But he, in particular stood against them, giving his children a sex survey that.
Dr. Gina
Was provided by a third party.
Sam Sorbo
So it wasn't even part of the school's agenda, but they made it part of their agenda, and they had no right to be asking sexual questions of minors. And yet he has suffered the. The. The hardships because of the school board's retaliation against him. So we're in D.C. fighting for that.
Jake Novak
And.
Sam Sorbo
And what I'm seeing now is that.
Dr. Gina
Parents are waking up, and they're understanding.
Sam Sorbo
That they have a much more major role to play in the education of their children, in the upbringing of their children. You cannot turn your children over to mere strangers who have somehow attained the accreditation of the United States government or the teachers union, God forbid, and think.
Dr. Gina
That it's all going to work out.
Sam Sorbo
Okay. And so I do see this slowly, this Titanic slowly turning around.
Jake Novak
I'm very hopeful for that, Sam.
Terrence Bates
You know, by the way, the Titanic will take longer than 10 minutes to turn around. Sorry. That's for sure.
David Brody
That's for sure. Hey, Sam, we've got about less than 30 seconds, but tell us where people get more information. You're on education reform. You're such, I mean, you're a trailblazer in this industry, or I say industry, but really in this passion across the country. Tell us where people can get more information.
Sam Sorbo
Well, also understand education is an industry. It's a multi billion dollar industry. There are a lot of people making a lot of money on your kids. You can go to Samsorbo do for more information.
David Brody
Wonderful.
Terrence Bates
Thank you so much, Sam. We appreciate it. Appreciate your time. Safe travels wherever you may be going. I'm not going to tell all your business, but safe travels.
Sam Sorbo
Thank you so much. Enjoy.
David Brody
All right.
Terrence Bates
Coming up, Democratic Congressman Adam Smith says the Democrats spend too much time demonizing President Trump and Trump supporters and they spend too much time on identity politics. Politics. So will this cost him or will others actually listen? We'll examine next here on American Sunrise.

Hey, what if your morning coffee could actually help you stay younger longer? Rejuvenate. Coffee is more than coffee. It's science backed longevity fuel infused with caakg, a compound naturally found in your body that's been studied for its role in slowing aging, repairing cells and boosting mitochondrial health. That means every cup is doing double duty, giving you clean, crash free energy now while supporting your body at the cellular level for the future. It's your daily ritual weaponized against aging. Go to 1775 Coffee.com Rav and order rejuvenate coffee today. Fuel your body, protect your future. Rejuvenate. Okay, now that we're all caffeinated, it's time to stay awake, not woke. And who is waking up today? It's a Democrat. Yes. Really? A Democrat. Democrat. Representative Adam Smith, not the economist of Washington State just went on MSNBC and lit into his own party saying Democrats are too obsessed with identity politics. You think? And need to stop treating Trump voters like racist, bigoted morons.
David Brody
We have to understand that all, whatever.
Brian Glenn
80 million I think, is the number that voted for Trump. Something like that.
David Brody
They're not all racist, bigoted morons. They're not.
Brian Glenn
And we need to stop treating them.
Jake Novak
Like that and say, okay, you've got concerns.
Brian Glenn
We're going to address them. We're not going to get them all. We don't need to get them all.
David Brody
But we need to reach out to people that broadens our coalition.
Brian Glenn
We can't keep preaching to the choir.
David Brody
Look, I represent a 70% Democratic district.
Brian Glenn
You know, whether I'm here or not, a Democrat's going to represent this district. And that's great, but what are we going to do to reach the people in those places that we aren't winning?
Jake Novak
Yeah, don't be fooled. He's no Trump fan, but at least he can see some part of which way the country is turning. For more. Let's bring in Terrence and David. Guys, look, this guy. Can we. Should we say that we've written his obituary? You know, I mean, this is the end of Adam Smith. He's going to get primary. Now, if he keeps up on this, he's saying stuff that the Democrats should be saying for a long time. But I'll just say this. It's always okay, in my opinion, to go and bash the other side's politicians, their elected leaders. But what started with the whole deplorables thing is the bashing of each other's voters, which used to be something that no one did, at least not publicly in America. And the Democrats not only have not stopped doing that, they've really embraced it and it's one of the reasons why they're really in trouble as a party.
David Brody
Yeah. So Adam and I think it's going to be. Go ahead, Terence, you go.
Terrence Bates
No, go ahead, David, go ahead. I'll follow up on your point.
Jake Novak
Go ahead.
David Brody
Excuse me, Jake. We're going to fight over it, if you don't mind. Just give us a second. So here's the thing. Adam Smith now has a spot reserve next to the pro life Democrat and the blue dog Democrat because that's where he belongs in this party at this point. But to me, the most interesting part of that clip was not anything Adam Smith said. It was what the anchor at MSNBC did. I don't even know his name. Did you see his reaction about seven seconds in when Adam Smith said no, Racist moron. They're not all racists and morons. The guy at MSNBC went like this with his face. He went like really? You think that it's like. Yeah, of course he thinks that because it's true. But, but that, that head gesture, if you will, kind of like really, that is the far left of this party, which is the Democrat Party today. Tbates.
Terrence Bates
And I think Adam Smith actually makes a very good point and I think most of us probably agree that he is making a point. Particularly if Democrats are Democrats want to win elections again, they're going to have to move more to the center and they can't, as Jake said, begin to attack and disenfranchise potential voters. You need to really address issues and come up with solutions to issues or at least an alternative to the issues and campaign on that. And that's not what Democrats have been doing and that's why they've been ineffective recently, I would argue.
Jake Novak
Yeah, I mean, let's remember this statistic. A significant number of people who voted for Barack Obama in 2012 voted for Donald Trump in 2016. The fact is that you could used to be in this country that you went after those so called swing voters. There seems to be no attempt to do that anymore. It's just how many of my voters can I bring out on election day? How many illegal aliens can I get registered? Stuff like that. That's what seems to be going on. And you know what that reminds me of? That reminds me of Iraq. You know who wins elections in Iraq? You know, the swing voter is the voters who get shot on election day. They don't have a swing vote in Iraq. It's all whatever ethnic group comes out that day. And the ones who don't come out are the ones who get shot. That's where we're going in this country. Unless we have political parties that go after persuadable voters. That's the hard truth.
David Brody
The big problem for the Democrats is that they keep talking about the messaging. We have to message better. That's ridiculous. Okay? Messaging is just basically kind of smoke and mirrors. Like, we just need to message our far left policies better. That ain't going to work. You need to change your public policy positions. Yeah, exactly. You need to literally understand what the voters are saying to you and change your policies authentically. Because of that. They're nowhere near doing that. Not only changing their positions, but authentically changing their positions. Yeah. No, absolutely. Not even close.
Terrence Bates
What David said.
David Brody
Preach.
Jake Novak
Yeah. I mean, you know, the strongest message that the Trump campaign had I think in 2024 was just the common sense thing. Look, love me or hate me, you want boys in the girls locker room. Of course you don't. You want an open border. Of course you don't. You want to have these wars raging all over the world where we send our own people in there, or at least our money. Of course you don't. And the very simple response to that could be the Democrats saying, oh, we'll do those things even better. Instead they've said, no, no, we want these things. We want the open borders. We want the boys in the girls locker room. I mean, just embrace common sense. They're not even bothering to do that. That's not gonna work on election day.
Terrence Bates
Agreed.
Jake Novak
All right, coming up, Joe Rogan's going to church. Oh, is that Fear Factor? He's gonna embrace his faith. Okay, that's better. We'll have his comments next on American Son Price.

Welcome back everybody to American Sunrise. Time now for our moment of faith. It is brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible. All right, in focus today, famed podcaster Joe Rogan explains how he has been going to church more and embracing Christianity. Take a look at this. It's a bunch of people that are going to try to make their lives better. They're trying to be a better person and they're trying to, I mean, for me at least the place that I.
Brian Glenn
Go to, they, you know, they read and analyze passages in the Bible. I'm really interested in what these people.
David Brody
Were trying to say because I don't think it's nothing.
Brian Glenn
There's a lot of like atheists and secular people that just like to dismiss Christianity as being foolish. You know, it's just fairy tales. I hear that amongst, you know, self.
David Brody
Professed intelligent people, like it's a fairy tale.
Brian Glenn
I don't know if that's true.
David Brody
I think there's more to it.
Brian Glenn
I think it's history, but I think.
David Brody
It'S a confusing history. All right, for more, let's bring in pastor filmmaker, author C.L. bryant, back with us on the show. Pastor Bryant, fascinating from Joe Rogan. You know, he reminds me a little bit of me back in the day. I grew up Jewish. I sat at Times Square Church in New York for a couple of years just being intellectually curious and gave my life to Christ in 1988. He is clearly on a voyage. He's thinking about these things. He's curious. He's not there yet. You got to, you need to really give your life over to Christ, say the sinner's prayer in your heart. But he's thinking about these things and that is a good thing. Good morning to you.
Terrence Bates
Good morning.
David Brody
And I certainly appreciate this opportunity to.
Jake Novak
Terrence Bates
Joe in that interview said in the middle part of it that I am.
Brian Glenn
Interested in what they have to say.
Terrence Bates
And you just said basically that the.
David Brody
Same thing when you came to Christ.
Terrence Bates
You had to first be interested in.
David Brody
What they're having to say. Now Christians, we must take heed to what they said because we must have something to say to them when they.
Terrence Bates
Are interested in what we have to say. And I think that the social climate.
David Brody
In our country right now gives us.
Jake Novak
An excellent opportunity to exemplify to so.
Terrence Bates
Many of Americans, especially American Christians, who.
David Brody
Should be plainly a plainly able to see that we are not in a struggle against flesh and blood, Ephesians 6, but we are in a struggle against.
Terrence Bates
The rulers and against the authorities that.
David Brody
Advocate and then initiate spiritual darkness and.
Terrence Bates
Darkness in our societies. And it comes from people not understanding. It comes from the Christians not being able to present and under their side.
David Brody
Of the argument of for God so.
Jake Novak
Loved the world that he gave his.
Terrence Bates
Only begotten Son and the belief, the faith part of it, whoever does that.
David Brody
Who is able to do that, like.
Terrence Bates
The air that we breathe, they shall.
Brian Glenn
Not perish, but they shall have, should have eternal life.
David Brody
That's Bryant. That is the message. Pastor C.L. bryant, we are tight on time, but let me just say the most important words spoken on this program today have come from you. No one will rival that. Of course, they're coming from Jesus Christ to begin with. And so I just want to thank you for presenting it that way. And I hope people will take an intellectual curiosity in Christ, not just intellectual, but from their heart. And if they really want to know God revealed to them, they'll ask him and if they ask him, there's no doubt he's going to answer that. So, Pastor Brian, thanks for being here. We appreciate you.
Jake Novak
Amen. God bless you, David.
David Brody
All right, you too. We're back with more of American Sunrise in two minutes. Stick around, everybody.

Coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise, the off year elections. Voters heading to the pollution polls in New Jersey and New York City this weekend as it looks likely that New Yorkers may choose a socialist for their next mayor. But a Republican could pull off a huge upset in New Jersey. We're going to have expert analysis on both elections straight ahead. Plus, please make it stop.
Brian Glenn
Please.
David Brody
Former Vice president Kamala Harris says she's not done. As she teases yet another White House bid for for 2028. We're going to look at her chances and what the Democrat Party's field may look like in the next presidential election. I pain it's painful to see him say that. All right. And later, the huge betting scandal. NBA commissioner Adam Silver making his first public comments in the wake of the league's gambling scandal. This, of course, following the arrest of Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and Portland Trailblazers coach Chauncey Billups. More the latest on that developing story as well. It's all on the second hour of American Sunrise. We're starting right now. Good morning America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American sunrise.
Tracy Anthony
Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to.
Terrence Bates
Be a pace we have to protect the American family.
Tracy Anthony
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina.
David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Jake Novak. He is in for Dr. G. Today, T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Look at this. Three men and a. No, it's not three men and a baby. It's three men in a box. So good to see all three of you. All three of you. That means I'm saying hello to myself as well. Jake, how does it feel to be here on Manly Man Monday? I guess.
Jake Novak
Well, it's amazing to me. I want to thank Dr. Gina for letting me use all of her hairdressers and makeup crew this morning. They worked a long time. This perm. This doesn't just happen, folks. This doesn't happen. So I just wanted everyone to know that. No, it feels great. Listen, you guys are great. It's good to kind of get a week kicked off. And I love all the preemptive truth that we lay down on this program before people hear all the lies elsewhere. So it's, it's nice. It's nice. And we're going to get more of that this hour. So that's good.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. Guys, a lot going on. Obviously, the first Tuesday in November is coming up very, very soon. And so there's a lot of election related stuff to talk about. We're going to do that momentarily. Specifically, a focus on where you are there, Jake in New York. Some interesting things afoot there also New Jersey and elsewhere. So we'll get to that momentarily. But first, I want to just get you a quick weather forecast. Tracy Anthony from Weather Nation joining us right now with more on what you can expect out there. And Tracy, this is always the fun part of the show because our viewers get their local forecast directly from you. I'm still a little jealous that that I have to share you with anyone else, but, you know, so be it.
Sam Sorbo
Yeah.
Tracy Anthony
You know, and actually, I mean, I know this looks like tropical weather. This was just thunderstorm activity in Boca Raton, Florida, yesterday. But one of our viewers asked for that forecast for Jacksonville.
Sam Sorbo
So I thought it was fitting.
Tracy Anthony
I know they're, you know, about four, four and a half hours apart, but still that east coast of Florida got nailed yesterday with torrential downpours. So they'll still have a chance for some rain showers in Jacksonville throughout the day today. Little bit cooler temperatures by Tuesday once that rain wraps up, but nonetheless, still kind of soggy. So some localized flooding across the state will be possible. Another viewer, this is Bren Snow from Rumble asked about Wichita, Kansas, and they're going to be nice and dry today, but they've got some rain swinging on through tomorrow. And then a nice end to the work week with a mix of sun and clouds. And Rome, New York. This one from Daniel Holmes on YouTube, a chilly, chilly start to the week. And then we're going to be dealing with some rain showers. So other than that, all eyes on Jamaica. Terrence as now, Melissa is a Category.
Terrence Bates
5 hurricane that is massive. Category 5. Wow. All right. We'll continue to monitor all of it for you. Thanks so much, Tracy. Good to talk to you.
Tracy Anthony
Yeah, you, too.
Terrence Bates
All right. And for all of those of you watching right now, you look at the bottom of your screen, you see that QR code, go ahead, scan it right now. Join the Weather Nation family. And who knows, you might also be able to get a local forecast just for you. All right, let's get you back over to David. David, as we were mentioning, Election Day is coming up here rather quickly. There are some places already early voting.
David Brody
That's right, a week from Tuesday. And here we go. Off your elections. So as you say, T. Bates, early voting began in two of the most widely watched elections this year. It's been going on now for a little bit, those being New Jersey's gubernatorial election and New York City's mayoral race. There's Virginia, too, but we'll talk about these two. First, though, there's a lot at stake in both of these elections. You got New York City just a breath away from electing an admitted socialist. Joining us now to break down both of these elections is the host of Last Call with Mike Crispy. That would be. Wait for it. Mike Crispy. Hey, good morning, Mike. All right, come on, you're a New Jersey guy. I'm not leading with New York. I. I'm leading with Jersey now. Snooki is in the. No, forget Snooki. Never mind. She's not. She's not running. What's going on? We could have a Republican governor in New Jersey. He got all of this big endorsements from Jewish Councils. Is it Jewish Councils? Jake, help me out. Right, Jewish Council. Is that what you were saying earlier? You were saying?
Jake Novak
Yeah, there have been rabbi groups and stuff, but there were lines around the corner in New Jersey all weekend for early voters at Orthodox Jews. It was pretty. They probably had a lot of prayer services while they were waiting. It's pretty good.
David Brody
All right, Mike, to you.
Jake Novak
Voting for Jack. Voting for Citarelli.
Brian Glenn
Yeah. So good to be with you guys. Good morning. And yes, that endorsement was from something called the Lakewood vad. It is a council of Jewish rabbis in Ocean County, New Jersey. There's a massive population there. In the last gubernatorial election in 2021, the Lakewood VOD endorsed Phil Murphy, the incumbent governor at the time. Time. And the end result was split between Orthodox Jews. It was about 50, 50. This time around, the Lakewood VOD is fully behind Jack Ciattarelli. So that means there's going to be thousands of more votes just right off the bat for Jack because of that very crucial endorsement. Now to the race more broadly. We see in all the polls right now this thing is at about a three point game within the margin of error. All the other polls at this time last cycle, again, 2021, Jack Giannarelli was the nominee against then incumbent Phil Murphy. The race they said was an 8 to 10 point race. Jack ended up finishing within 3 points. Then you compound that on what President Trump did here in the 2024 election. From 2020. In 2020, he lost the state by 16. In 2024, he brought that margin down to 5. He had the incredible historic rally in Wildwood, New Jersey that I spoke at that had over 100,000 people. He has a ton of momentum in the state. President Trump and Jack are aligned. They're campaigning together. They just had a tele town hall. They're aligned on all the issues. They're supporting one another. And I think, guys, that's going to lead to a great result. I think this one's going to be a nail biter. And Jack is in position right now to win it.
David Brody
Hey, Mike, just a quick follow up about New York. Sorry, Terrence, but just we want to get your take on New York. I mean, it's Mamdani and. Good night. Good night, New York.
Brian Glenn
No, 100%. I think Madame's going to win. It's unfortunate. I saw the rally last night that he held with AOC and Kathy Hochul at that stadium. I mean, they filled up a stadium, and it was just a bunch of people who were crying that they had to get a job or something, crying for their welfare benefits. It was a disgusting display. They were chanting free rent and free buses and all that. Hey, if you make the buses free, all the homeless people are going to see sleep on them all day long. Oh, and if you get rid of the cops, who's going to get the homeless people off the buses? So their first proposal was shot down out of the sky. But I think he's going to win. Unfortunately, right now, if you look at the way it's split up in New York, Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa. Right now, if either one of them drops out of the race, they both kind of rise up to the same level in the polls. But that's still short of Zorron. So unfortunately, guys, I think that this thing is going socialist. I think New York is headed for an implosion. Hopefully New Jersey could be a bastion of freedom for people who want to escape that craziness after Zoran gets in.
Terrence Bates
Mike, I realize we're talking about state and local elections here, but I'm curious about the impact you think the government shutdown, the federal government shutdown ultimately might have on Democrats in particular, since this is literally in their court and keeping the government shut down, especially come the November 1st snap, benefits are getting ready to go away or at least be halted. Do you think there's going to be an impact of the government shutdown specifically on Democrats running for election in these local races? Even though it's a. Yes, I get it. It's a federal government shutdown, but the trickle down, I think, is real.
Brian Glenn
Well, shout out to the RAV graphics team. I like that. Schumer shutdown.
Jake Novak
Yeah.
Brian Glenn
Every time you go in the campaign trail, anywhere you go, all the way they do is talk about President Trump shutting down the government. That's all these Democrats have to run on. That's all. Mikey Sherrill, the Democrat nominee for governor, is talking about Trump. Trump, Trump. Jack Ciarelli is going to do what Trump wants. Here's the thing Trump has said, let's reopen the government via continuing resolution. We don't love Continuing resolutions because it's not the most efficient form of government, but it will get the government back open immediately with no changes to what was going on before that and get people at the table to negotiate. What's so radical about that? Chuck Schumer and the left aren't doing that because they want to run on getting health care for illegal aliens. And they think that the shutdown narrative somehow is going to help them in the midterm. That might have worked in 2016 or 2006, but it's 2026. It's about to be. That doesn't work anymore. Everybody knows the Democrat game. The Democrat game is they are worse than terrorists at this point point. Domestic terrorists. We have people in foreign countries and leaders. These Hamas terrorist groups, they're coming to terms with President Trump. But the Democrat Party can come to terms and have a negotiation on the shutdown. What the hell is going on here, guys? I'm telling you, they're running on it. The Democrats, they're talking about it every other word. But it's not landing right now. Rank and file. Independent voters and Republicans are saying, hey, hey. Trump is saying he wants to reopen it in good faith. The Democrats want to keep it open for political points and to help illegals. It is a stark contrast and it's not going to work.
Jake Novak
Mike, I want to ask you about those hosers up in Canada because they are hosers. Get your reaction to President Trump increasing tariffs on Canada. Look, the truth social post over the weekend the president put out said Canada. It was caught. Canada was caught red handed. Referring to this anti tariff ad put out by the Ontario government last week. You know, it was this ad with deceptive kind of editing and also deceptive in not looking at that point in history. When President Reagan back in 1987 made those points, he ended the post by saying he's increasing tariffs on Canada by 10%. Mike, they burying the lead in all of this. Canada is the most protectionist, petty tariff using country in the world. The fact that they would ever, ever look at the United States or any other country and criticize their trade protectionism or so called protectionism is just beyond hoser, hoser, hoser activity by these people behavior is making me really mad. I have loved ones in Canada, Mike. I can't send them flowers for their birthday without signing six forms and waiting a three 30 months. It's so annoying, Mike.
Brian Glenn
I mean Canada, if you try to go look at online news on your phone, they block it off. There's like all these crazy laws That I hear from Canadians. But you know what Mark Carney, you see there on the screen, he's a globalist, he's a leftist. And when he would come to the Oval Office, Trump would kind of like, you know, chide him a little bit, like, you know, poke at him a little bit and say, oh, you know, this guy's a tough guy, but he's going to be the governor of our 51st state. So, you know, Trump knows that he's kind of answering to a higher power. He knows that he's not a nice guy. Trump has called him in jest, but of course that we know that means a little bit of truth. He's called him a vicious negotiator and like, you know, really vicious, serious guy. So I think that this is a necessary hit. You know, these foreign countries only know force and they have taken advantage of us for far too long. Canada, by the way, doesn't even provide us with anything like that. That's that crucial that we can't produce in America ourselves. So why are we bending to the will of Canada? It's not like, you know, any of the things that they give us, we can't produce ourselves. So Canada, hey, we're not saying we want to take advantage of you like you've been taking advantage of us. We just want fairness. Carney doesn't want that to happen, cuz he answers to a higher power. And so Trump is saying, we're gonna equalize this. And if you're gonna try to run propaganda on our citizens like we saw with that commercial, then we're gonna hit you back. No more of this presidential regime time like Biden and Obama, where they would be all talking, no action. President Trump and his administration is all action. And that's why he tariffed Canada, sending a message that your words will have consequences. It's a good thing he's advocating for America, guys.
David Brody
Yeah, they just need to stick to hockey up there. They can't even win a Stanley Cup. All right, Mike Crispy, great to have you with us as always. Thank you, sir.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Mike.
Brian Glenn
Thank you.
David Brody
All right, coming up, Kamala Harris. Oh, I said those words. Kamala Harris is making no secret that she's eyeing another White house bid in 2028. But this time she'll actually have to run in a primary. Oh, that's going be interesting. We'll walk you through her chances when American Sunrise returns. Hi, Kamala. Back in a moment.

Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm Jake Novak, in for Dr. Gina. It's great to have you with us this morning. Time now to drain the swamp. And this morning we are flushing out Kamala Harris. Or we're trying to. The former vice president is back in the headlines, this time in a BBC interview calling President Trump a tyrant. They should have asked her how to spell that. That would have been fun. And hinting at another run for the White House in 2028. Here's what she told the BBC over the weekend.
David Brody
That is correct.
Jake Novak
I am not done.
Sam Sorbo
I have lived my entire career, a life of service, and it's in my bones. And there are many ways to serve. I have not decided yet what I will do in the future beyond what.
Jake Novak
I am doing right now.
Sam Sorbo
But you've been very clear that it's a possibility you might run again to become president. And in my experience interviewing politicians, when someone says I'm not done, it means they are thinking seriously about running. But when you look at the bookies odds, they put you as an outsider, even behind Dwayne the Rock Johnson. I mean, is that underestimating you? I think there are all kinds of polls that will tell you a variety of things. I've never listened to polls.
David Brody
If I listen to polls, I would.
Sam Sorbo
Have not run from my first office.
Jake Novak
Or my second office.
Sam Sorbo
And I certainly wouldn't be sitting here.
Jake Novak
In the this interview. Yeah, she didn't listen to voters either. The former vice president doubled down on old attacks later in that interview claiming President Trump weaponized the DOJ and somehow got a late night comedian suspended. No, that. That's not what happened. The White House responded quickly, calling her comments absurd lies and reminding America she lost in a landslide. For more, let's bring in Bring Them Back David Brody and Terrence Bates. Hey, Terrence, you know, there used to be a time in America when you lost a presidential election that you went away. You just went away. The party didn't want to see you ever again. Whether it's Hillary or now Kamala, I just can't understand why they want to keep going with losers. There's plenty of people who want to be president. There's got to. There's a lot of people better than that.
Terrence Bates
Yeah. And I'm not so sure she's going to get any traction with Democrats. In fact, I don't think she has much traction. Obviously, she's still trying to sell this memoir, her book, and that's why she's out there right now. I'm not so sure she, and I've said this on this show. I'm not so sure she really wanted to be president. Like running a campaign the way she ran it, staying away from the media, not answering questions. That's. It's probably one of the worst run campaigns I've ever seen. And I'm not so sure she really wanted to be president then. I'm not so sure she wants to be president even in the future. She's trying to sell books she's trying to sell. She's trying to remain relevant in case she decides that she wants to try at it again. But I don't think her heart is really in it, David. I really don't.
David Brody
Well, let me just say we've been burdened by what has already been and we don't want to be burdened yet again. I can go through a list of candidates, by the way, they all have problems. I know we got a wrap, but let me just say that I think the best candidate for Democrats, and they'll never nominate them, but he'd be the best candidate. Andy Beshear, governor of Kentucky. But they won't do it because that type of Democrat party is, you know, in yesteryear, if you will. But we gotta run, so. Okay, we gotta go. We gotta go.
Jake Novak
Yeah. And they're not gonna have primaries. Hey, coming up, we're headed down to Wall street for the opening bell and the latest on the lies. Yes, the lies. The mainstream media and the Democrats, same thing. Are telling you about the trade war with Canada. Those hosers. We'll be back with more American Sunrise in just two minutes.

Kingston, Jamaica. That's what you're looking at right here. And we're showing you this because Hurricane Melissa is impacting that particular island, impacting Jamaica and really impacting the Dominican Republic as well. Hurricane Melissa now a Category 5 storm and we're hearing that it's probably going to be catastrophic in terms of the sort of fury it unleashes on Jamaica and other islands within this region. It's going to be a big one weather story that we'll be covering for you throughout the next couple of days. Hopefully this category 5 hurricane will eventually fizzle out and it won't cost any more lives. Again, we'll kind of keep you updated on this throughout the next couple of days. In the meantime, getting you ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It is set to ring here in just a little bit. Here's a look at pre market trading. As you can tell, all three major U.S. u.S. Indices are looking up. The Dow S P 500 and the Nasdaq are all in the green. The NASDAQ up over a full percentage point. So hopefully it stays that way and it is a good day of trading. But again we'll take you to New York and the Stock Exchange for the opening bell here in short order. Now let's get you over to David Brody though. Good morning David.
David Brody
Good morning T. Bates. Time now for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. And that means we're going to bring back the guy that's right now co anchoring this show. He hasn't left. He's also the American Sunrise Early Edition host, the guy behind Jake's take subsacks. He's also a very happy Jet fan this morning because we are on our way to the playoffs. We're now one in seven. So that's got it. Yeah, I mean here we come. 10 7. The way I see it. Hey Jake, the mainstream media taking sides against America again when it comes to this story about Ronald Reagan's 38 year old message about tariffs. So what is the real deal Jake? Give us the common sense answer here.
Jake Novak
Yeah, well first I'm so frustrated with this. Listen, I don't mind if the mainstream media was just checking everybody's facts and being tough on everyone, that would be fine. But you know, it doesn't matter whether it's China, North Korea, Hamas, Canada. Whenever they come out and attack America they immediately just take that as fact, do no fact checking and then move on. The real deal is that Canada has been incredibly protectionist and in a petty way against America for many decades. You know that the department store industry in Canada collapsed years and years ago, but Canada still blocks Walmart and Target from coming in there. They finally let one Target in there years ago, but they killed their supply chain. So people lined up around the corner in Ontario walked into a Target and there was nothing on the shelves. That was well before COVID by the way. This is a petty country. That's the story. The fact that they're even allowed by just common sense to run an ad like that. If we had a real responsible mainstream news media that would have said, hey, wait a minute, you guys are so protectionist against us. You got these crazy tariffs against our dairy products and stuff like, why are you doing this? But there's been no questioning of that. It's just Trump's angry because they used Reagan. You know, it's a stupid news media, by the way. It's not only because they're unfair, it's also because they don't know. I mean, if I asked the news media, if I asked David Muir on ABC News to find Canada on a map and tell me what the, what the capital is and what, he would not find it. He would tell me how to do some good curls, but that's about all he does.
David Brody
Ottawa. And I can find it on a map. All right, Jake, the trade war with China seems to be easing. What can we expect from President Trump's meeting with China's president on Thursday in Seoul?
Jake Novak
Yeah, you know, listen, these things go up and down right now. We're having a little. Because, you know, President Trump really pushed them and, and threatened 100% new tariffs. And so China's backing down and that should be a good thing. Listen, I don't care if you like President Trump or not personally, this seems to have worked. Now, I know that China's going to renege on this a little bit later on it. I get it. But for now, they're not. And we're going to get our rare earths and the markets are celebrating it. And so pretty much everything that they were going to talk about and maybe go face to face has already been done. Secretary Scott Bessant handling that over the weekend. And so on Thursday when they meet in Seoul, it's going to be nice. They're going to shake hands. And sure, China, in six months or a year will probably backtrack on it, but that'll be another six months to a year, David, that our rare earths miners will have to get their infrastructures up, get those mining operations going, and we'll be in a much better position by then. So to me, this is good news for now. I'm not singing Kumbaya. It's not over. But we should be happy with this. And I don't care if you're a Republican, Democrat or something else, we should be happy with this. The markets have real skin in the game and they're celebrating it. Maybe take a cue from them and stop being so obstinate. Everybody.
David Brody
Yeah. Tariffs part of the art of the deal, if you will. All right, Jake. Finally, Ford has a tough decision to make when it comes to which models to make with a limited amount of materials. But you say it's not a tough decision at all. So tell us more. We got about a minute.
Jake Novak
Yeah, remember that movie Sophie's Choice Or Meryl Streep has to choose which child to say this? This ain't Sophie's Choice. Ford has a limited amount of aluminum, so they're of course going to shelve the EV version of the Ford F150, which is not a hot seller. Forget that piece of junk. And they're going to put all their aluminum that they have left into their gas powered F150s. That's their bread and butter. Duh. I mean, honestly, when push comes to shove, we know where the real priorities are. And Ford telling us that loud and clear.
David Brody
Yeah. By the way, will you ever buy an ev? The answer will be never ever, ever.
Brian Glenn
No.
David Brody
Ever?
Jake Novak
No. Not at all. Not at all.
David Brody
Not at all. Well, we have the tape now to prove it and it's on three quarter inch tape, so we're good to know. All right. All right, Jake, thanks for being here. Appreciate it. I'm just cracking myself up with my own jokes which is really honestly pretty much a low point in my life. Time now for T. Bates in Denver for the opening bell. The New York Stock Exchange. Let me think. Oh yeah. It's sponsored by amac.

We're less than a minute away from the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Momentarily you'll start to hear the applause and that will be the countdown for the opening bell. As I told you just a little while ago, pre market trading looking pretty solid. All of the major indices were in the green, which is hopefully going to be reflected once the bell officially rings and the markets fully open. For this week of trading, it's optimum bank, which is at the podium right now. You hear the applause, which means the bell is going to ring here in short order and then we'll get an idea if there's a change or if the markets are staying strong. Right on cue. There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The markets are now officially open. There's sprinting happening on the trading floors as those first trades and buys and sells are being recorded. And just like that, as I promised, it looks like the markets are starting off on a pretty positive note. The dow, S P 500 and the NASDAQ are up. Just a couple of blemishes on our screen, but it looks like crude oil is also up. So so far so good. Still to come here on American Sunrise, NBA commissioner Adam Silver says he is deeply disturbed by the league's gambling scandal. He's speaking out for the very first time since the story broke. Welcome back to American Sunrise on this Monday. We appreciate you being here with us. I'm Terrence Bates. Well, we want to invite you to join the conversation on Getter Rumble, of course, also YouTube, particularly as we get you into our political pulse of America. Taking the beat today, NBA commissioner Adam Silver speaking out for the first time after federal indictments rocked his league. Those indictments involve Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups. Silver says that he was deeply disturbed by the allegations against both men.
Tracy Anthony
My initial reaction was I was deeply disturbed.
David Brody
There's nothing more important to the league and expands and the integrity of the competition.
Sam Sorbo
And so I had a pit in my stomach.
David Brody
It was very upsetting.
Terrence Bates
Rosier and Billups have been placed on administrative leave as the NBA continues to cooperate with authorities. Silver says the league remains committed to protecting the integrity of competition above all else. Joining us now with analysis is RAV Washington correspondent Britt McHenry. Britt, good morning. Good to see you.
Dr. Gina
Good morning. I love being on the morning show. It's great to be here.
Terrence Bates
Well, we love having you. So what do you make all of this, by the way? You want to play cards with Chauncey Billups some soon.
Dr. Gina
I don't want to get arrested, so probably not.
Terrence Bates
Sorry, I shouldn't have said that. Shame on me. Go ahead, Britt.
Dr. Gina
This is a huge deepening scandal. Thirty arrests, six of which really targeting the NBA that we saw quietly happening. I texted with a friend of mine who's very high up in the FBI saying they had been secretly working on this very diligently, as we witness, with this amount of names included. And that's only going to expand from what I'm being told now. It's, it's interesting because with John Tay Porter, he was banned, if you know that name. He was banned in April of 2024 for several offenses banned from the NBA, one of which was recusing himself from games, which is the same thing that Terry Rozier is being accused of, Rosaire. So it not only is affecting their future in the NBA, but of course with their lives. Rosaire is expected to be in court in Brooklyn, I believe on December 8th and Chauncey Billups on November 24th. Now for Chauncey Billups, this is probably the biggest name, at least from a casual basketball fans perspective. He was once overall, the first overall draft pick, a head coach who's now had to have an interim coach step in his place. There's a lot of questions with how involved he was with several entrepreneurs, several mafia members in the bets that they've been made, they've been placed on these poker games amounting to reportedly $7 million plus. And his decisions in coaching to keep players out and affect the outcomes of the game, that is a huge offense to everyone legally, to fans, to the betting industry. So a lot of eyes will be on that. As you guys know, that's expanding now. College athletes next year will be able to legally bet. And this will raise a lot of alarms as it already has in what is allowed, what is not. I'm sure you guys could tee off on several former athletes, Pete Rose being one of them, who was banned from baseball for gambling. So this has many tentacles and we're gonna have to watch how that expands.
Jake Novak
Brit, I wanna. I'm Jake Novak. Nice to Virtually meet you over the air. Hi. I wanna turn to President Trump's trip through Asia this week because he's already there. He's in Jamaica, Japan. And we're learning now that President, President is working on a trade deal with China. A lot of, a lot of progress was made over the weekend. Of course, one of the administration's biggest targets when it comes to tariffs is of course, China. How do you see these negotiations going? Because the way I see it is, look, we know it's not going to be very long term, but I think all the hard stuff has already been kind of taken care of it in advance of this meeting on Thursday.
Dr. Gina
Absolutely. I've spoken to a few contacts, few reporters over there in Japan who said we've just hit the ground running. It's been nonst coverage with the President, as you alluded to prior to this segment. I think the art of the deal, and sometimes that can be thrown around in a cliche way, really does continue to apply to President Trump in a government shutdown, which in Washington has been massive. And we can touch on that as well, with people not getting paychecks, both Republicans and Democrats not being able to come to a deal, mostly because of the Democrats decision to not have the continuing resolution that Speaker Mike Johnson proposed for Trump to arrange the ceasefire, as we saw with Hamas and with Israel. Now this to stop, or at least put measures in place to stop the fentanyl spread and submission into the United States to get those rare gems and gemstones and things that the United States is in need of and the soybean tariffs as well. You know, I think Scott Besant is also largely responsible for this success. And as he himself has said, the 100% tariffs on China are off the table. They are having dialogue and that is a step in the right direction that we have not seen in quite some time. And while we have a lot of domestic problems with our government on Capitol Hill, which again, we should discuss, the President is making sure everything he can do internationally, he is doing. So I think this is a step in the positive direction. How long it will persist, we will see. But China is the biggest adversary or negotiator we will deal with on the world stage. And we're seeing progress here. That's a good thing.
David Brody
Yeah, for sure. Hey, Brett. David Britt. Excuse me, David Brody here. Let me go to the shutdown. You mentioned it over the weekend. We got Republicans favorite Democrat. That would be John Fetterman. Boy, they love him. Now he says it's time to put his party it's time for the party to put America first, rather than their own party. Take a look at this.
Brian Glenn
I'm in a minority that I think.
David Brody
It'S wrong to shut our government down in this situation right now. And now. So for me, and there's things that I strongly believe in, too, on the.
Brian Glenn
Democratic side, but I'm just gonna.
David Brody
I'm always gonna vote country over party. I'm always gonna vote for paying for the military over my party and those.
Brian Glenn
Things, because I think that's what's appropriate.
David Brody
Right now, the direction where my party's going. I mean, we'll won't see, but I can control my vote and my voice, and that's exactly where I am. And I'm going to call balls and strikes, and it's an easy, easy choice to pick my country over the party.
Brian Glenn
Especially in circumstances like this.
David Brody
Brett, I never thought I put common sense and John Fetterman in the same sentence, but yet I have done that this morning.
Dr. Gina
Your take, it's wild to hear him say that, to have the reaction of, oh, my gosh, yes, that's so revolutionary. Like, how is he the only Democrat really coming forward and saying that? Now, we've seen John Fetterman stand with Trump and stand with Republicans and go a little bit more moderate while he's been in office than other elected officials, but he's right. Listen, guys, I went over to Southwest D.C. to a capital Food bank food drive this past weekend. It was lined with hundreds of people. Okay? They estimate that a third of the Washington, D.C. area, a third of the population, has struggled to afford groceries and food in the last year. We know prices have gone up. That was one of the reasons that President Trump was elected. And so now it's crunch time. People are getting their paychecks. When we first discussed this and I came on air, I even said casually, that's my dog, agreeing that this has happened before. It will end soon. We are on day 27, the longest one, I believe what you guys was 35, 39 days, and there is no discussion in sight. And as many problems as there are to fix with Obamacare, it's. I don't see that in a couple of days being improved. So for Fetterman to come out and say that, I think it's at least a good thing. He's one of three Democrats to have voted with Republicans on Thursday, but they are still shy of the 60 votes in the Senate, and there are many people I know here that are worried. They don't have that much in savings they're missing the paycheck. We've discussed the military and possibly some outside donations. But hardworking people should not be put at risk and without money because our government cannot come to a bipartisan agreement. So it is very serious in this area and the effects are being felt.
Terrence Bates
Brit, I'm going to start circulating a petition calling on all Senate Democrats to wear hoodies and shorts until the government is reopened. Maybe they will get a, get a page out of the Fetterman book and come to their senses. Want to get back, though, to President Trump's trip to Asia really quickly. Obviously, a lot is being made of the trade deal that is being brokered between the United States and China. But it seems to me that even a bigger part of this trip is to secure that region, to secure the Indo Pacific region from China and its advances and to make sure that the alliances with the Japans, with the South Koreas are really strong, particularly Japan, which now has a brand new prime minister.
Dr. Gina
Absolutely. We saw a lot of progress in the summer. In July, several acquaintances and contacts I have went over with the State Department for their push into negotiation introduction into Japan that is a huge power player in the region. As you just mentioned, Cambodia and Thailand to ease tensions there, to stop any conflict that also is a part of this. So it's great. Terrence, you mentioned that. Because it's not just our personal negotiation dealings with China, which are massive. It's that entire fluctuation or possibility of it in the southeast part of the world. So this has the reach into those areas. And I think that if we can have any sort of semblance of the peace, that is a good thing. You guys mentioned again earlier with this topic, look, even if it's six months, that's more than we had previously. And of course, there's no certainty, just like Hamas and Israel. It's something that constantly has to be negotiated on, discussed, met with. But I believe Secretary Marco Rubio with the Department of State is doing that and we're seeing that with Scott Bessant and everything that is going on in this international trip right now. No, if we can only just get our own government to be working, I think we'd be batting 1,000. But it's a little turbulent and the commanders played tonight, so that's going to be turbulent. But I am here and I will continue to comment and report on all of it.
David Brody
Don't end with the pressing news. Oh my gosh.
Dr. Gina
Hey, the jets got to win. So, you know, things can happen, miracles can happen.
David Brody
Miracles.
Dr. Gina
But this has been a success for the administration for sure with this trip.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely. Brit. Always good to talk to you. We of course will be checking back with you throughout the week as more develops. Good to talk to you. Appreciate you.
Dr. Gina
You too.
Terrence Bates

He was responding to what the socialist candidate said about the real victims of 9 11. You definitely don't want to miss what he had to say. It's coming out.

That's artillerytco.com premium tea mission driven Brood for the Brave A Time to spill some tea and in the cup today, the left's new low on 9 11. Vice President J.D. vance is furious with New York City mayoral candidate Zoran Mamdani after Mamjani suggested his aunt's fear of wearing a hijab after 911 made her the real victim. By the way, they did some research on this. He doesn't have an aunt who was in New York and the only aunt we know he does have doesn't wear hijab. Someone should have fact checked that. I just did. Vance called him out saying enough is enough. We should honor the lives lost, not reduce September 11th to political points. This is just the kind of tone defeating America, making us feel guilty, making us feel like we're all racist. And it's why patriots are paying attention. Early voting has already gotten underway in New York. Early in person voting for more let's bring in David Brody and Terence Bates. Hey, David. Zoram Mamdani doesn't have an aunt who lived in New york City around 911 A B. The only aunt we know she does. He does have. Doesn't wear hijab. Other than that, he's an honest and upstanding young man.
David Brody
Yeah, well, it's shocking that the media wouldn't fact check him on that. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm lying.
Jake Novak
Unbelievable. Wow.
David Brody
Really? I mean, come on. This is insane. Look, reaping and sowing, sowing and reaping. New York will reap what they're about to sow. And that's sad for a city that I grew up in and that I truly love, but it's going to happen. And by the way, Mamdani may want to just apologize to the families of the 2,976 people that died in the World Trade center attack. But my guess, T. Bates, is that won't be coming anytime soon. I'm not holding my breath because if I did, I'd be dead because I'd be out of breath.
Terrence Bates
No, I agree with you. I think he does owe those families an apology. It's not going to happen. And I have to met. And Jake, maybe you have more insight since you live in New York. David, you as well, since you're a New Yorker. But it's still hard for me to fathom that these sorts of comments don't have blowback, that New Yorkers who live through 911 hear these sorts of things and don't say, okay, you know what? Enough is enough. Like, I can't deal with this guy. I'm not going to vote for him. I don't think that's going to happen. I think it's almost a foregone conclusion that he wins this thing. But those sorts of. Of comments are so, so insensitive and hurtful. It still surprises me that there's no blowback, that there's no impact. Jake, you know what, what's kind of the reaction there on the ground? You're there. And so I guess I'm asking you, I'm leaning on you, but I can't imagine that people aren't. Aren't upset even on the street saying, what is this guy talking about?
Jake Novak
Terrence, I saw both of the planes fly into the World Trade center buildings with my own eyes. I didn't need to see them on tv. The. It was right outside my window. But I gotta tell you something, Terrence. I'm an extreme minority when it comes to the population of this area, the population of New York City, the voting population, the percentage of them who were here in New York, and remember, 9, 11 personally, is really small. It's not what it was 24 years ago. That's one part of it. The second part of it is that you have very little participation in New York City elections. This is a huge problem. An opportunity for Republicans or just common sense people? I think only about 26 or 27% of the eligible voters in New York City are gonna vote in this election. And that's really where the issues are. You gotta get some decent turnout. And unlike New Jersey where we saw a weekend, people lining up around the corner to vote, vote, vote for Jack Cittarelli. I haven't seen any of that here in the New York area at all. None of that.
Terrence Bates
I wonder if it's a sense of people just feeling disenfranchised and that it doesn't matter, even though we know it's completely different. But I wonder if that's the case. I'm sorry, it just, it baffles me some of what's happening in New York. I'm sure it kind of baffles you guys as well.
Jake Novak
Yeah, well, New York's absolutely. Yeah. And you make a good point. Apathy is not the biggest problem in voter turnout. It's alienation. And Terence, you touched on that. All right, Silver, come on. American Sunrise. Two men, three whales, no pants. And an inspiring act of heroism you won't want to miss. There's more. American Sunrise in two minutes. Stay with us.

All right, welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. We're at the end of the show. I'm David Brody. Thanks for joining us. Time now for the sunny side up. Up in the pan today, time was running out on a Nova Scotia beach when two friends, Mark Rankin and Grant Cameron, spotted three stranded pilot whales struggling as the tide rolled out. Without hesitation and with no sign of authorities yet on the scene, they decided to strip down of their underwear and rushed into the frigid water to save the animals. The first whale was freed quickly. The second took longer. The third required every ounce of strength they had. The men said they just did what they had to do, had to be done, trusting their instincts and their hearts. Here was one of those heroes recalling the experience.
Brian Glenn
Did they touch them and look into their eyes?
Jake Novak
Like, you know, that kind of.
David Brody
That's kind of what got us, I think, and made us, you know, do the right thing. I hope we did the right thing. Well, Jake, I don't know about you, but I did not have men undressing into their underpants and whales on my bingo card this morning. I don't know about you.
Jake Novak
The sea was angry that day, my friends. I could tell that the whales were in trouble and I had to. I heard that. I reached in. No, that's from Seinfeld. Look, this is like that, that episode of Seinfeld where George has to go into the ocean and pull out the Titleist golf ball from the whale's blowhole. That's all I can think about right now. But once again, a seinfeld episode from 30 years ago predicting the future. Look, this is a wonderful act, actually, you know, and you know, to get biblical here for a second and get the helping of animals in need is actually one of the great good deeds that can be done in this world. And it's discussed many times in religious, in Judeo Christian lore, and also in our. In our, you know, our sages. So it's actually a very wonderful good deed you're seeing here on your screen.
Terrence Bates
That's way too deep. I thought you were going to bring up Jonah. You went there. Okay. Like, you're much deeper than I am, brother. I'm sorry.
David Brody
That's what I thought, too.
Terrence Bates
I was like, oh, you mean one of the whales? This biblical lore and. Oh, okay, all right.
Jake Novak
Yeah. It says Leviathan. You know, the whale lobby is going to get angry at you now. The whale did not swallow Jonah. There's no proof of that. Darn it. It was another.
David Brody
And yet at the time. Same discussion for next time as we go off into the sunset of our careers or sunset of today. I don't know where we are going, but War room. We know this is up next. That would be our good friend Steve Bannon. We are saying goodbye, and we're going boldly now. See you folks on a manly Monday.
