Ahead on American Sunrise. Let's make a deal. President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping hold their high stakes meeting in South Korea. And folks, they've struck a new trade deal. Details of that deal straight ahead. Plus Biden and the auto pan. The Attorney General Pam Bondi vows accountability for the deepening scandal. When can we expect results? We're going to take a look at at that. And later, passing the Torch, Vice President J.D. vance and Charlie Kirk's widow, Erica Kirk, both continue carrying on Charlie's legacy with a huge event at Ole Miss last night. Their message coming up. And it's all part of our one on American Sunrise. And everybody, we're starting right now. Good morning, America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.

Terrence Bates

Virginia Allen
And I'm Dr. Gina.
Dr. Gina
Good morning, everybody. I am Dr. G. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David Brody. He's in Washington, D.C. terrence Bates, he's in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, gentlemen.
David Brody
Good morning. Hello, T. You're waving to us.
Brian Glenn
Hello.
Terrence Bates
Hi, David. I'm waving to you guys. Yes, it is A good Thursday morning. Hey, guys. Good morning to both of you. Sorry to be so silly, but it's one of those nights. Dr. Gina, you had a restful night, I hear. I won't go into the details. I tossed and turned all night. Well, if you choose to share, I'll allow you, but I won't go into the details. It's one of those things when you, when you have private conversations on television. But look, President trump. My bad. Dr. G. President Trump is headed back home from South Korea right now. He's aboard Air Force One. Typically, we talk about the trip and I'd like to get each of your takeaways really quickly about that meeting. For me, the big takeaway was, and this is what I found interesting, is that President Xi really talked a lot about ending wars and being kind of a peacekeeper and peacemaker. He also said that he wanted to be engaged in peace with the United States. And I found that curious, given that China is the biggest threat in the Indo Pacific region. But rhetorically, he's talking about keeping peace. That was my big takeaway. It had me scratching my head and I may end up growing some more hair. David, your takeaway, not surprising.
David Brody
He's playing the diplomatic card. I mean, that's what he's going to do. You know, it's one thing to say something to the cameras is another thing to say something behind closed doors. President just releasing a truth social post just a couple hours ago, talking about this trade deal. To me, that's the big news coming out of all of this, that he comes home with the goods with the deal in hand, talking about that China's going to resume soybean purchases. He's talking about specifically that farmer. This is great news for farmers and other, other purchases that China is going to make that are going to help our farmers. He talks about the rare mineral deals that they're going to, they China is going to pause exports, curb exp, if you will, for a year on those rare earth minerals, and of course, help with the illegal fentanyl trafficking. We'll get more details on that. But apparently there's been some commitment there. So, look, I mean, once again, the art of the deal yet again on display. We'll see how much it it holds. But it doesn't surprise me at all, Gina, that President Trump is indeed doing what he does best.
Dr. Gina
So are all of the media out there who said we'd be in war now with all of our foreign adversaries, because of Trump's tariffs, going to apologize today? Will either of you be holding your breath for that outcome. Because I'd be dead. I was gonna say. Then you'll be sleeping like I did last night. Terrence is not telling the backstory there. But for a long time, right?
Terrence Bates
Oh, my goodness. Yeah. I won't be holding my breath. You won't see Terrence black and blue. Well, you might see black, but not the blue part from me holding my breath. Not gonna happen, by the way. Coming up here in just a little bit, folks, you'll hear some of the sound that came out of this meeting. President Trump and President Xi will have some of the sound bites from that. Also working to get on the air. Yes, sir.
David Brody
Also, you mentioned Terrence, that he's on his way back. The president's on his way back. Just found out that he's in Anchorage right now. Anchorage, Alaska. So he should be arriving into D.C. early afternoon at this point. And that meeting with Xi, Gina, was two hours. I mean, it was a, it was, excuse me, a substantial meeting. Why am I saying a substantial meeting? Why am I talking like that? All right, Gina, it's time for the Bible verse. I guess we've run out. I've run out of information. I'm done.
Dr. Gina
All right, let's get to it. It's John 10, verses 27 and 28. Oh, love this. Today my sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me, and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone snatch them out of my hand. I'll tell you what, guys, having literally three days ago been standing in the very place where the shepherds raised the sheep from for the temple in Israel, I'm telling you, you go to Israel, the Bible is just, it's so alive to you in ways that it never was before. I just hear the words shepherd or sheep, and now I'm like, you see it now? You know, it's amazing. Anyway, for more on everything we're talking about this morning, let's bring in GOP strategist and host of the 13 Minute NewsHour, Bobby Eberle. Bobby, this meeting with Xi and Trump, two hours. And without a doubt, these were substantive hours that changed perhaps the very ethos of our foreign trade and relations. What do you make of it?
Adrian Hernandez
Well, I love everyone's comparison and the thoughts leading out from this meeting. And what I take away is the contrast, the contrast between anything that Joe Biden did during his four years, especially regarding China. I mean, remember when he sent Blinken and others to negotiate and China basically just stiffed arm them and had their way with them. And it looked like China was in control. Every one of those meetings, whether, you know, with Biden or his top guys, was a win for China. And now we have Trump on the world stage. And you see in meeting after meeting, whether it's the Middle east, whether it's sitting down with talking about Putin and Ukraine or this with China, it shows American strength, American leadership, and Trump's ability to get the deal done. I mean, this was significant. Whether it's the fentanyl, whether it's the soybeans for farmers, or whether it's getting China to pull back on those export controls of rare earth minerals, critical minerals. This was all major, major concessions by China. Sure, we dropped our tariffs down by 10 percentage points. But the United States as a country went in there with a list of demands and came out with the win. And I think that's significant. And it's significant for President Trump and his leadership on the world stage.
David Brody
No doubt about it. Bobby. Hey, let's move on to some other news. So we had Vice President J.D. vance and Erica Kirk as well, speaking at this Turning Point USA event at Ole Miss last night. JD Vance actually addressed a student in the crowd regarding Israel, because this comes up all the time with the especially young males. They want to talk about how Israel is basically the devil. And sometimes, I'm not even paraphrasing, they literally will say that, and that the Israel lobby controls President Trump, which is so farcical on its face. But here's how he responded. Take a look at this. I'm a Christian man and I'm just.
Terrence Bates
Confused why there's this notion that we might have owe Israel something or that.
David Brody
They'Re our greatest ally, or that we.
Terrence Bates
Have to support this multi hundred billion.
David Brody
Doll.
Terrence Bates
Foreign aid package to Israel to cover this.
David Brody
To quote Charlie Kirk, ethnic cleansing in Gaza. I'm just confused why this idea has come around considering the fact that not only does their religion not agree with.
Terrence Bates
Ours, but also openly supports the prosecution of ours.
Adrian Hernandez
Yeah.
David Brody
So.
Terrence Bates
A few things about this.
Adrian Hernandez
First of all, when, when the President.
Terrence Bates
United States says America first, that means.
Adrian Hernandez
That he pursues the interests of Americans first. That is our entire foreign policy. And that doesn't mean that you're not.
Terrence Bates
Going to have alliances, that you're not going to work with other countries from time to time, and that is what.
Adrian Hernandez
The president believes, is that Israel, sometimes.
Terrence Bates
They have similar interests to the United States and we're going to work with them in that case.
Adrian Hernandez
Sometimes they don't have similar interests to the United States.
Terrence Bates
And this example, the most recent Gaza.
Adrian Hernandez
Peace plan that all of us have been working on very hard for the past few weeks.
David Brody
The President of the United States could.
Terrence Bates
Only get that peace deal done by.
Adrian Hernandez
Actually being willing to apply leverage to the state of Israel. So when people say that Israel is.
Terrence Bates
Somehow manipulating or controlling the President of.
David Brody
The United States, they're not controlling this.
Adrian Hernandez
President of the United States.
David Brody
Bobby, your reaction, I think, is a pretty good answer. I was very concerned about all of.
Dr. Gina
The applause I was going to say. Yeah, that was a lot of applause.
David Brody
That is disconcerting.
Adrian Hernandez
Yeah, I thought Vice President Vance did an excellent job there in addressing the student and addressing what America first actually means. I mean, we have great allies around the world. You know, Britain, France, Germany, all of the NATO nations. When we go to the Middle east, our strongest ally there is Israel. And so we need to negotiate, we need to work out alliances, and sometimes they don't always agree. And President Trump is one of the ones to say that. I mean, he's had tough statements in just the last few months regarding Netanyahu and what the president thinks should be done in that region, considering that the US Gives so much aid and so much help. So I think he has forged a good alliance and one that is certainly to address that student's question. Not one where Israel is pulling the strings, but America is leading and leading for its interests and what is best for America in the Middle East. And when that comes to working with Israel, guess what? We work with Israel.
Terrence Bates
All right, Bobby, I'm gonna follow up with the America first policies and doing what's in the best interest of the United States. President Trump just announcing that he is authorized or really is pushing for the resumption of testing of nuclear weap weapons. That, of course, is huge, but that's America First. It is a peace through strength move. It seems like from the outside looking in.
Adrian Hernandez
Yeah, it absolutely is. And it's also, hey, is our technology really as good as we need it to be, considering Russia's always testing, always advancing? China is advancing with their technology? I believe our last nuclear weapons test was 1992, so some 33 years ago. And so we need to keep up with the times. And it also shows that we're willing to flex our muscle. You know, you've got tanks on parade. Well, guess what, we're going to do some nuclear weapons testing as well. But again, it keeps us up with the latest technology, makes sure everything is as sharp as it could be, as ready as it can be, and it's certainly a sign to world leaders everywhere that America is serious about leading and defending itself and our allies and our interests.
Dr. Gina
Thank you. Thanks for being with us.
Adrian Hernandez
Thanks a lot.
Dr. Gina

President Trump is on board Air Force One as we speak and headed back to the United States after meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea. The commander in chief describing that meeting as a roaring success, saying he'll cut tariffs on China. Beijing has agreed to allow the export of rare earth minerals and to restart purchase of American soybeans, among other things. However, during the talks to end the ongoing trade war between the world's two largest countries economies. President Xi praising President Trump for promoting peace around the world.
David Brody
The world today is confronted with many tough problems. China and the US can jointly shoulder our responsibility as major countries and work together to accomplish more great and concrete things for the good of our two countries and the whole world. I look forward to exchanging views with you on questions important for our two countries and the world.
Terrence Bates
Amid the talk of peace, President Trump has ordered the Pentagon to resume testing nuclear weapons immediately. Posting on Truth Social, the commander in chief writing, because of other countries testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our nuclear weapons on an equal basis. That process will begin immediately. 47 also pointing out that The United States has the biggest nuclear arsenal in the world, followed by Russia and China. While he points out that China is a distant third, he also says the communist regime will have caught up with Russia and the US within five years. In his post, the president writing because of the tremendous destructive power, I hated to do it, but I had no choice. That, of course, implies a peace through strength, posture, devastation. That's the word that's being used to describe Jamaica, Haiti and Cuba in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. Jamaica was blown to bits. As you can see here. It took a direct hit from one of the most powerful hurricanes ever. It was a category five storm when it tore through Jamaica. At least four more bodies have now been found in the rubble and more deaths are expected. In Haiti, the death toll stands at around 25 people with at least 18 missing following massive flooding there. At least 10 children are said to be among the dead. Haitian officials are reporting more than 11,000 people are in shelters due to the storm. Meantime, Cuba is going about the process of cleaning up and rebuilding after more than 735,000 people across the eastern part of that country were evacuated. So far, no deaths are being reported there, but officials say they are focused on clearing blocked roads and restoring electricity. For the very latest on this storm and its aftermath, let's check in with Weather Nation meteorologist Adrian Hernandez. Adrian, where is the storm this morning and is there any threat to the United States? I think that's the question many people have after seeing the devastation it already wreaked in the Caribbean.
David Brody
Yeah.
Adrian Hernandez
Well, the good news I have, Terrence, is no, there is no impacts expected for the United States. We actually have a front coming off the nation that's keeping it well out to sea. And it's in fact, one of the reasons it's moving so quickly. But like you were just mentioning, Terrence, here's a better look of Black River, Jamaica. This is really close to New Hope, Jamaica, where the storm officially had made landfall as an absolute monster, 185 mile per hour winds with a central pressure of 892 millibars, one of the strongest storms we've ever even seen out in the Atlantic. Right now, it's a far cry from what it used to be. Winds of 105 moving at north northeast, 21 mph. It's getting out of here and it's getting out of here quick. The next chance that they might, that Melissa might have of making some sort of land impacts will be to the island of Bermuda, where there is just they do have hurricane warnings so there is a chance of seeing some gusty winds across that region, but again, we'll have to wait and see till the later hours of Thursday. Taking you back stateside, we do have that low pressure center bringing loads of rainfall out of the northeast throughout the day today. Most of it should be out of the realm as well. As we start to get towards really the afternoon hours of tonight well into tomorrow morning, things should really start to clear out. So by Halloween, you should have a pretty clear forecast for trick or treating, where most of the rain again sticking off to the northeast. Terrence, you guys out in Denver actually have been looking quite chilly over the last few days, so I'm sure. I don't know if you're happy about that, but I'm sure that's a welcome change for you guys.
Terrence Bates
Adrian, as I told you yesterday, your chili is my cold, but I'll take it. All right. So what's your costume for? Thanks. What's your costume for Halloween? What are you doing?
Adrian Hernandez
My girlfriend and I are doing Mario and Luigi. That's what we're gonna do.
Terrence Bates
Nice. I'll be looking for pictures. I'll be looking for pictures. All right. Appreciate it, brother. Talk to you next hour. By the way, folks, you can scan the QR code that's there at the bottom of your screen and stay connected with Adrian and our Weather Nation family. We look forward to having you part of that. Up next, though, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the military are conducting conducting tests on a new nuclear weapon. The big question, what are its capabilities? We'll have the details. First, though, a quick look at this day in history. It was on this date in 1974 that Muhammad Ali won the Rumble in the Jungle against George Foreman to become the heavyweight champion of the world for a second time. Seven years prior, Ali lost his title after he was accused of draft dodging. Ali famously used the rope, a dope strategy, in order to wear Foreman down and then ultimately beat him. More American Sunrise coming your way in two minutes.
Emily Finn
Welcome to the jungle. We got fun and games.
Terrence Bates
We got everything you want.
David Brody
Hey, it's raining at the White House House. Does that mean Biden's home? No, he's not. He's somewhere on a beach in Delaware, though. It is. I don't know if he's on a beach in Delaware, but I'm just always thinking about him stumbling and bumbling on that beach. Anyhow, it's raining in D.C. and it's going to be nasty all day long, by the way, here in the District. Welcome back, everybody. To American Sunrise. All right, President Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. And here is part of the meeting where Z. Xi. Excuse me, praised Trump's efforts on peace. Take a at. Look, Mr. President, you care a lot about world peace and you are very enthusiastic about settling various regional hotspot issues. I appreciate your great contribution to the recent conclusion of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. During your visit to Malaysia, you witnessed the signing of the joint Declaration on peace along the Cambodia Thailand border, to which you had provided input. China has been helping in our own way. Cambodia and Thailand properly settled their border disputes, and we have also been promoting peace talks to resolve other hotspot issues. All right, well, let's talk about this big meeting and bring in Pennsylvania State Senator and Army veteran Doug Mastriano. Doug? So the president negotiated this trade deal on. So he's going to cut tariffs on China by 10%, but in return, Beijing is going to crack down on illicit fentanyl trade. They're going to resume these U.S. soybean purchases and they're also going to pause the latest rare earth export curbs for a year at least. There's more. But clearly, Doug, this is the art of the deal in action. I'm curious to get your reaction.
Doug Mastriano
It's absolutely amazing. We've never had an American president work such great deals with the Chinese. Xi is tough. He's got a lot of leverage, but Donald Trump has more leverage. I'll note there that in the meeting there, Xi's trying to take credit for the Thailand, Cambodian peace deal, which he had zero to do with. They don't want those countries, don't want him meddling. It was Donald Trump that brokered that deal. But additionally here, if we get the soybean sales and if we get the curbing of fentanyl, which is killing 5,000 Pennsylvanians a year and about 100,000Americans nationwide, this is a huge win.
Dr. Gina
Well, I also wanted to talk to you about the Trump administration's efforts against alleged drug trafficking boats in Venezuela. The USS Gerald R. Ford is now being deployed to the Caribbean as part of the effort to combat drug smuggling. The Navy has also sent more guided missile destroyers, Doug, to boost those efforts. The outcome, though, what do you think? How many, just in your experience, how many drugs aren't coming into the US because of this? And what will that mean to drugs on the black market, on the streets?
Doug Mastriano
Yeah. Thank you, Dr. Gina. So we've seen over the past month or so, and this is a great question, these drug boats being sunk, and in one case, a drug Submarine, which we've known about for decades, by the way. And this is huge. When you're sending the USS Gerald R. Ford, the largest, most capable, most dynamic piece of equipment this world has ever seen, carrying nearly 100 aircraft on board. And there's thousands of sailors on board there. And you know, with that usually comes Marines and stuff and other ships. This is a powerful force and message to Madero in Venezuela that he needs a knock it off. And so imagine now you're a drug runner. Are you going to get on that boat seeing that some of your buddies, your fellow smugglers have been, have been taken out by American airstrikes. This is really going to help America. You know, the bottom line, you know, when I was running for governor, one of my big points was that the plague of fentanyl on our streets. Look at Kensington in Philadelphia where you have the zombie park where literally people are freaked on drug, zombie, stiff in all these grotesque positions on the street. And that's mostly coming from China. So China is waging historically like an opium war on America. It's a flashback to the 1848 war the British had on China. And they have been killing hundreds of thousands of Americans. We've lost more Americans in one year than an entire decade in Vietnam. And this needs to end. So I'm so thankful Donald Trump's putting on a table. You know, here's a quick vignette. I have a bill called Tyler's Law that would mandate if you're a drug dealer, you have a minimal sentence of 10 years. If you kill somebody, minimal sentence, 10 years. Because judges have been very lenient. Pennsylvania, we had a young man, tyler, in Chambersburg, 18 year old kid who made a mistake, did something stupid, bought something on the street, lost his life as a drug dealer. And the drug dealer was back on the street within his weeks. Within a few weeks, his mom came to me and said, we need to fix this. That will end with Donald Trump's success with China.
Terrence Bates
Wow. Yeah, great law. I hope that actually gets some traction there in the state of Pennsylvania. Want to tap into your military exper a little bit? This Reuters headline really caught my attention this morning. It reads, russia tests nuclear capable Poseidon super torpedo. Putin says President Trump, of course, in response, has now ordered the Department of War to conduct nuclear tests. Is this simply posturing or should we read a little bit more into all of what's happening here?
Doug Mastriano
Senator Mastriano, I'm very surprised at how poorly the Russian army has done in Ukraine. You know, the second day of the war we watched several years ago when Russian, Russian airborne units were defeated in by the Ukrainian forces. So having lost any major advances on the ground to break through, Putin now is relying upon super wet weapons. It's kind of funny. I hate to draw this comparison, but you know, the Germans in, in World War II and they started losing, they're talking about these, these super weapons are going to win the war for them. So, you know, we had the Armageddon, the supersonic nuclear missile that Putin touted. Okay, that's interesting. And now we have this supersonic torpedo called the Poseidon that's going to be the panacea for his, his lack of ability to win on the ground here. Yes, we should be concerned, but we've seen so many times in the past here that it's hollow. So we need to be prepared. We can't underestimate, underestimate, underestimate our enemy. But we see Putin in a lot of ways is emerging as a paper tiger.
David Brody
Yeah. Doug, we have less than 30 seconds. You won't mention it, you're too humble to do so, but I'll mention it and put you on the spot. You're getting an award for the day of the Bible of what you're doing in Pennsylvania. Tell us more, more about those efforts real quick. We've got 30 seconds or so.
Doug Mastriano
Yeah, we're honored to be here in D.C. the Intercessors for America are recognizing myself and Representative Stacey Bore, with whom you both, you interviewed both of us, David, for our work on getting the introduction in a passage in the Senate anyway, of the day of the Bible in Pennsylvania. And that's triggered a movement in Congress and in the Senate to do likewise for the nation. This is a big deal. It's not symbolic because Congress endorsed the Bible in 1782. We get that back in place here and bring that memory forth here, I think we'll see a change in the nation. There's already a revival in Generation Z vis a vis Charlie Kirk, that this will be a catalyst in the change that forever saves America from the direction we're headed in. So please pray for continued movement of God's spirit with us.
David Brody
Doug Mastriano, great to have you. You've got a lot of nicknames, T. Bates. What do you call them? Dougie. Dougie what?
Terrence Bates
Dougie Doug. You know, but when we get on tv, Senator Mastriano, I have to be. I have to act like I've got some sense and call you Senator Mastriano even though my heart wants to say Dougie Doug. So look I got a question, Dougie Doug. But I'll always call you Senator Mastriano.
Doug Mastriano
I love you guys.
David Brody
All right, thanks.
Terrence Bates
Thanks so much.
David Brody
Coming up, Texas is suing Johnson and Johnson over claims that it's hiding the link between Tylenol and autism. Oh, I want to know more about that story and Dr. Gina has it, when American Sunrise continues.
Dr. Gina
Well, those are the very azure waters of Honolulu, Hawaii. I actually studied there. Hula and Tahitian, little known factory. I used to dance and I still do sometimes, hula and Tahitian. And I took lessons there from a master instructor in Honolulu, Hawaii. Welcome back. I'm Dr. Gina. Thanks for joining us. If you guys want, here's what you can do. You can drop your city in our chat on rumble, YouTube or getter and we will give the weather for your specific city right here on the show. It is time now for today's Health news sponsored by the wellness company under the Microscope. Today, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit against Johnson and Johnson and its spinoff Ken View. Paxton claims the company has concealed evidence that Tylenol may increase the risk of autism if taken during pregnancy. The lawsuit does claim the companies used deceptive marketing claiming it was safe for pregnant mothers to take despite studies saying that the other could be true. Paxton also claimed Johnson and Johnson knew of the risks and spun off Kennview in 2023 to shield itself from liabilities. And now we're beginning to read a lot of things about Tylenol and the things it can do in your body and especially if you're pregnant. So make sure you stay up on all the new research yourself. Don't count on news to give it to you because you never know who's paying for the commercials on the news you're watching. I don't mean us, but I'm talking about other places. A new administration in Washington, D.C. has brought a lot of positive changes when it comes to fixing our broken health care system. The reality, though, is that there's only so much the government can do. And if we really want to make America healthy again, that's going to start at home with each of us. And that's where the wellness company comes in. You see and hear from their doctors all the time on this network and you know that their products are the gold standard when it comes to keeping you safe and healthy. Save you 10%. David Brody.
David Brody
Yes.
Dr. Gina
You didn't take Tylenol when you were expecting though?
David Brody
No, no. And this just said, I was never expecting.
Dr. Gina
I was many, many times for like a whole decade of my life. I do have five children and I took a ton of Tylenol because I didn't know. All they said back then was, you know, most of the information you get while you're pregnant, I think is lies. It's terrible. It's sad. I actually had a doctor say to me once, you know, Gina, you're a high strung person. You're a type A personality. I don't think it's a bad idea if you have a glass of wine every night while you're pregnant. A doctor said that to you?
David Brody
Oh, gosh, yeah.
Dr. Gina
Which I did. And my children, well, you know, they're mostly fine, but they're like. You did take Tylenol, Mom? I did, like crazy. Cause we didn't know better. We believed what we were told. And most of the things we were told, unfortunately, like infection rates in hospital are much higher than if you have a home birth, for example. Gotta do your own research, David Brody.
David Brody
Well, we're doing it here and we're letting people know the truth, so that's a good thing. All right, all right, here we go. Let's move on to the ongoing government shutdown. Still going on. Back to you, Gina. No, we have more. We could be seeing an end in sight. Senate Republicans and Democrats reportedly looking for an off ramp this morning to end the shutdown as soon as next week. Of course, the main sticking point has all along been health care. Reports are saying there are dual negotiations going on. One short term deal to reopen the government and then there's this longer term deal to fund certain departments like Agriculture, which funds, of course, food stamps. All right, so for more, let's bring in senior news producer for the Daily Signal. That would be Virginia Allen. Virginia, boy. What do you think? I mean, this feels like the gang of whatever. What are they going to call themselves? They always call themselves themselves gangs in the Senate, you know. Well, that makes sense. They are Mobsters, if you think about it from a corruption standpoint. But anyhow, what do you think is going to happen?
Virginia Allen
That is a little depressing, that terminology. But look, I think we're seeing movement for the first time since this shutdown started. We're of course on track to have the longest shutdown in history. I do think we'll hit that mark in the middle of next week is going to be that historic time frame to make it the longest shutdown in history. But the thing that, that so many, including myself, have said since the very beginning is there has been motivation to end the shutdown and there wouldn't be motivation until the American people started feeling it. And, and that's unfortunate, but it's kind of the dirty business of politics. And because we're about to see snap benefits and we're about to see increased, I think disruption at airports, we've already begun to see that, but it's likely only going to get worse. And those are the pain points that are required, unfortunately, in order to drive politicians to the negotiating table and in earnest. Everything we've seen up until now, quite frankly, from Democrats has just been a lot of sidestepping, fanfare, complaining. But in order for them to actually take action, it has to come from their constituents saying, this is no longer okay, I can't feed my family. I need that paycheck from federal workers to go back to work. So it has to really require that voice and uprising from the American people. And we even saw that recently when the largest union for federal workers, the leadership of that which surprise, surprise, are very Democrat, came out and said, hey Democrats, you need to reopen the government. So it's those pain and pressure points that ultimately I think will be the factor that do lead to the government reopening. We still probably have at least a handful of days, if not a week or so to go. But movement is happening.
Dr. Gina
You know, there are very vital workers. There's no question, Virginia, you know, the air traffic controllers come to mind, like we need people that do. But you know, although I honestly think that could even be privatized now that I'm talking about it, I think that could be privatized. Certainly the TSA needs to be privatized. I'm on this incessantly. There are a lot of government jobs though, that just need to go away. And it's odd for me as a Republican to be taking the side of reopen the government, let's spend more money when really if we cut the non essential workers and just started right there and privatized those that could be privatized, our debt would disappear overnight. I'm sad that more Republicans aren't still having this conversation. I think the American people are intelligent enough to understand both that right now the government needs to be reopened, but that these jobs that are unessential need to go away and a lot of it needs to be privatized. Virginia.
Virginia Allen
Yeah, well, look, and I think that's why we saw so much optimism, favor, enthusiasm around Doge, of course, at the beginning, beginning of Trump's administration, that the American people recognize our government, specifically the federal government, has become so bloated. There are so many positions that maybe were created years ago and served a purpose then, but no longer serve a purpose. And it really takes continual assessment and evaluation in the same way that corporate America does. That just practice has not been implemented in the federal government. So, of course we have seen steps taken in that direction. And the Trump administration is continuing to look at, okay, who really is necessary and who isn't. And you know, among some of the federal workers that aren't working right now, of course, you know, we need our Smithsonians back open, that kind of thing. Just because they're not working doesn't mean, you know, we don't need them in the long run. And when these shutdowns happen, it is a good litmus test to be able to really clearly evaluate, okay, what programs, what institutions, what offices within the federal government are absolutely necessary and which ones are we just continuing to fund because it's what we've always done.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. There are some important questions. I just don't think Mag is going to sit down for skipping over some of these Doge cuts that we were all very excited about. Virginia Allen, thank you for being with us.
Virginia Allen
Thank you.
David Brody
Thanks, Virginia.
Dr. Gina
Coming up, resurfaced comments from Zoran Mandami Zohrangami Mamdami, as I like to call them. Him, his parents. The comments they've made have been making headlines. Unbelievable. And this is not just one of his parents. This is both of his parents, each separately. Crazy comments. Going to tell you all about it next on American Sunrise.
Emily Finn
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's time to stay awake, not woke. And who is woke today? Zoran Mamdani and his family. First, let's start with Mamdani's mother, who in a newly resurfaced interview claimed her then 21 year old son was not American at all. Mamdani's mother also used some derogatory words to describe Americans in the interview. Then there's Mamdani's father, who in another resurface moment claimed the Nazis learned genocide from Abraham Lincoln. Take a look at this.
David Brody
America is the genesis of what we call settler colonialism. And the American model was exported all around the world. Abraham Lincoln generalized the solution of reservations. They herded American Indians into separate territories for the Nazis. For the Nazis, this was the inspiration. Hitler realized two things. One, the genocide was doable. It is possible to do genocide. That's what Hitler realized. Second thing Hitler realized is that you don't have to have a common citizenship. You can differentiate between people. The Nuremberg Laws were patterned after American laws anyway. The US put Indians in reservations. The US invented the model.
Emily Finn
For more, let's bring in Terrence, Dr. Gina and David. Terrence, what are your thoughts on this one?
Terrence Bates
Yeah, so that gives you an idea of the basis from which many of Zoran Mondamini's policies stem. And what I find unfortunate, David and Dr. Gina, is that even though that should give many Americans pause, Mamdani is still going to win. I hate to say it, but I think at this point it appears that's going to be the case. And that is reality. Despite all of that, Mamdani is still going to win. And a lot of New Yorkers, David, are still, still going to vote for him.
David Brody
Sometimes the math just adds up. One plus one equals two. In this case, it's.
Terrence Bates
I hate to say it, but that's what it is.
David Brody
It's one anti American plus one anti American equals spawn of anti Americans. I mean, There you go, Dr. G. I mean it. It. The apple doesn't far fall far fall far fall far from the tree. I'll be practicing that in the break. Five times fast.
Dr. Gina
Dr. G. Yeah. You know, his mom saying he's not American at all. His dad basically giving his platform for his views. We don't get the government we want, we get the government we deserve. And I don't mean this as an indictment of any of our good friends who would vote much better in New York. But, you know, this is something we're going to have to fight for. It's going to cost New York dearly. I think New York will not be the same for a long, long time after what he's going to do to it to ravage it. But I also think a lot of great people will move out of New York to other places that are more free and that have better people. And I think a lot of industry is already looking at leaving. So it'll be very interesting to see.
David Brody
How this goes and here's the sad part of all of this, is that you've got conservatives trying still at the last minute saying, endorsing Cuomo. Cuomo, Andrew Cuomo, Covid Cuomo. So. So I mean, that. That's how bad mom dummy is. Yeah. The fact that conservatives would actually say, you know what, we'll even take Covid Cuomo.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
David Brody
Over Mamdani. That should tell you everything you need to know.
Dr. Gina
Yeah. And a lot of people still not gonna be enough. And a lot of people saying, well, we just. You just have to let him, you know, like. Like a sad alcoholic. You gotta let New York fall to rock bottom before it's ever close. Going to pull itself up by the bootstraps. And you have a lot of people making that argument as well, that just let it go to mom dummy and just watch what happens and maybe they'll learn. I don't know. I don't know the answer. The psychology here, it's complicated because people don't always learn when they fall down, especially the electorate, especially where there's a lot of money involved and a lot of, let's say, nefarious players. Right. Meaning deep staters behind the scenes pulling the strings. So, I don't know.
David Brody
I mean, I'm in the sowing and reaping camp, you know, in other words, go ahead, knock yourself out. See what you're about to get, rather than sacrificing and compromising your principles and going with COVID Cuomo. That's my view.
Doug Mastriano
Yeah.
Emily Finn
Sounds like there's going to be a lot of pain. Go ahead, Terrence.
Terrence Bates
No, I was just going to say I'm going to be. Be the positive voice. Maybe he gets in and it's so bad that New Yorkers force a recall or force something to get him booted out of office and come to their senses. Let's hope. Fingers crossed.
Emily Finn
Certainly seems like there's going to be some pain for New Yorkers.
Terrence Bates
Like, yeah, it ain't going to happen.
David Brody
My fingers may cramp up is the problem.
Emily Finn
All right, you guys, great discussion as always. Coming up, Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch announced he is getting baptized. What sparked this decision? We have have all the details next on American Sunrise. You don't want to miss this story. We'll be right back.
David Brody
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
Terrence Bates
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It's now time for our moment of faith, and it's brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible. In focus today, Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter getting baptized just hours before his game against the Seattle Seahawks, signifying a bearing down on faith and character. And I use that bearing down term because I'm a Chicago Bears fan. So those football fans out there, you probably get that the two way star said that he quoted changed his life over to become a better man, showing the sort of grounded belief that doesn't fit the mainstream narrative all the time. Despite his team's 2012 loss that day, the day he got baptized, Hunter played a full game and proved that his values are not just for show. For patriots who believe in faith, country and stewardship, this is exactly the type of leader that so many of us want to see on the field. Hunter's public profession of faith also marks the beginning of what many hope will be a new era of humility and strength in professional sports in general. By the way, we should also mention Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch, who said that he had been seeking religious guidance as well and also got baptized. So for more, let's bring in American to American Sunrise, Jonathan Shuttlesworth. He, of course, is the founder of Revival today. Pastor, always good to see you. As I read these stories, I'm obviously thankful and prayerful that these gentlemen continue their walk in faith and want to support them in that. But I also can't help but to think, well, why aren't we as enthusiastic about our neighbors being saved and our neighbors being baptized, the people that we can see every day and touch every day? Why is it that when an athlete gets saved or is baptized, that's when it becomes big news? That's when we all get excited?
Doug Mastriano
Well, it's, it's like Charlie Kirk, as much as it's not fair from a socialistic type of standpoint, because all people have value. There are people with more influence than others. And when they, when they do that, I think it sends more ripples through society because it sets an example and.
Brian Glenn
People do what they see their favorite.
Doug Mastriano
Athletes or singers do. So I, I think that's probably what it is.
Terrence Bates
Now, that's a fair point. I just wish it were different and maybe that's just my own personal bias. I'm one of those people. I want to hug my neighbor and say, hey, you know, we're walking this walk together. But that's a whole nother story. We can spend a whole hour on that. Talk about this kind of return to faith, if you will, and how we're seeing it quite literally at the highest levels.
Doug Mastriano
Yeah, I mean, it has been an amazing year in Christianity. There is a massive turning to Jesus Christ last week when I was on with you.
Brian Glenn
There was a guy that drove two.
Doug Mastriano
Days from Chicago to North Carolina after watching our segment on Real America's Voice to do the same thing, to make a public profession of faith. He was in his 70s. He said, I want to make sure I go to heaven.
Brian Glenn
I saw you on the segment and.
Doug Mastriano
I wanted to come and give my life to Jesus Christ. This is happening, college students, NFL, NBA, NHL, everyone everywhere.
Brian Glenn
So it really is great to see.
Doug Mastriano
It's an answer to prayer.
Terrence Bates
And when I hear those sorts of stories, I always think of the body of Christ and the body of Christ being the members of the church, that the church is the members, the people. It's not the building.
Doug Mastriano
Right? Yeah.
Adrian Hernandez
You're all members.
Doug Mastriano
In particular, the church is the body of Christ, not the building. There's nothing to add to what you said. It's a perfect people matter.
Brian Glenn
Christ is the head.
Doug Mastriano
The Bible says we are the body. Body. So the more we work for God, the more we extend Christ's love and power and healing to people who need it.
Terrence Bates
No, absolutely. Amen to that and keep working. It's always good to see you, Pastor. Always good to spend a couple of minutes with you. Appreciate your time this morning.
Brian Glenn
And if you're a Bears fan, no.
Doug Mastriano
One has greater faith than you.
Terrence Bates
Well, I'm a lifelong Bears fan and you're right, I, I am faithful and faith filled and I've got to be being a Bears fan. Good to talk. I don't appreciate that jab, but I get it. You're absolutely right. Appreciate your pastor and folks, be sure to tune in to revival today this Sunday morning. It's at 9:00am Eastern. We are back with the second hour of American Sunrise in two minutes.
David Brody
Coming up on the second hour of American Sunrise, mission accomplished. President Trump meets with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea and he comes home with a trade deal in hand. We're going to bring you the details from the White House. Straight ahead with Brian Glenn. Plus, sending a message. The U.S. navy's newest aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald Ford, will arrive in Venezuela soon as the administration's drug war in the region ramps up. We're going to bring you the latest on the conflict. And later, rumor shutdown. President Trump cites the Constitution as he shoots down talk of a third term. Those stories and more as the second hour of American Sunrise starts right now. Good morning America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina.
David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from rainy Washington, D.C. let's bring in Dr. G. She's in West Palm T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning to both of you. You know, President Trump left Alaska about 30 minutes. They refueled in Alaska. He left about 30 minutes ago. Probably gets in the White House around 2:30pm or so today. And of course, if I were an aide on that trip, I'd be going straight to my bed for the next 12 to 14 to 18 hours. President Trump will probably take a 20 minute cat nap and then get right back to work.
Dr. Gina
Dr. G. Yes, more than likely. I think you are absolutely right. I'm very curious. He always has come home every single time of his presidency. Every year he has come home for the Halloween party that takes place at Mar a Lago every single year. And I am very curious if he's going to do that this year. It seems to me like he is just there in D.C. working so hard. I think he's, he's really found his footing there. I think he used to come back to Florida a lot more to sort of regroup because he couldn't stand what was happening in Washington, D.C. but I think he has changed so much about what is happening in D.C. that I'm not sure he hates it there as badly as he used to. So it's going to be a very interesting season as we get all the traffic and everybody's all ready for President Trump to be back every single weekend. I don't know if he will be. I just think it's going to be.
Virginia Allen
Interesting to see Terrence, Terrence, before you.
David Brody
Say anything, can I just say on this Halloween party, if President Trump goes to that Halloween party at Mar a Lago, I would like to see him be dressed as the auto pen. That would be awesome if he could just do that. That'd just be my take.
Terrence Bates
Anyhow.
Dr. Gina
There's usually like a book or a movie theme, David. And President Trump, by the way, never dresses as anything but people at the party. He dresses as President Trump, which is a great costume. And he pulls out, he comes as Trump immaculately. But people do dress at the Halloween party to try to impress him. Like I remember one year my husband actually went as the, oh, the big octopus that was in the News. What's the word? Kraken. The Kraken. My husband as the Kraken. Yeah. So release the Kraken. Kind of a different. Yeah, exactly. So I can see somebody going as an auto pin despite that is not the theme this year.
Terrence Bates
You'll find out. It'll definitely be interesting. Obviously, we've been talking a lot about President Trump. He just ended his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea. The commander in Chief describing that meeting as a roaring success, saying that he'll cut tariffs on China. Beijing, on the other hand, agreeing to allow the export of rare earth minerals as well as restart purchases of American soybeans, among other things. However, during those talks to end the ongoing trade war between the world's two largest economies, President Xi ended up praising President Trump for promoting peace around the world.
David Brody
The world today is confronted with many tough problems. China and us can jointly shoulder our responsibility as major countries and work together to accomplish more great and concrete things for the good of our two countries and the whole world. I look forward to exchanging views with you on questions important for our two countries and the world.
Terrence Bates
Amid the talk of peace, President Trump has now ordered the Pentagon to resume testing nuclear weapons immediately. Posting on Truth Social, the Commander in Chief writing Because of other countries testing programs that, of course, would specifically be Russian. This nuclear submarine, it's testing. I've instructed the Department of War to start testing our nuclear weapons on an equal basis. That process will begin immediately. 47 points out that the US has the biggest nuclear arsenal in the world, followed by Russia and China. He also says China is a distant third, but believes that the communist regime will have caught up with Russia and the United States within five years. In his post, the president also writing. Because of the tremendous destructive power, I hated to do it, but I had no choice. This, of course, implies a peace through strength posture. Devastation. That is the word that's being used to describe Jamaica, Haiti and Cuba in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. Jamaica was blown to bits. As you can see here, it took a direct hit from one of the most powerful hurricanes ever. When Melissa hit that island, it was a hurricane. Five, a Category 5 strength. At least four more bodies have now been found in the rubble and more deaths are expected. In Haiti, the death toll stands at around 25 people, with at least 18 missing following massive flooding there. At least 10 children are said to be among the dead. Haitian officials are reporting that more than 11,000 people are in shelters due to the storm. Meantime, Cuba is going about the process of cleaning up and rebuilding after more than 735,000 people across the eastern part of the country were evacuated. So far, no deaths are being reported there. Officials say they are focused on clearing block roads and restoring electricity. For the very latest, let's check in with Weather Nation meteorologist Adrian Hernandez. Adrian, what's the very latest on this storm system as it continues to push forward?
Adrian Hernandez
Well, as of right now, It's a Category 2 storm making its way from the Bahamas. Well to the north. We can expect potential impacts to eye the island of Bermuda, Terence. But like you were just showing on the screen there, and even more imagery from Black River, Jamaica, really close to where the storm officially had made landfall out in western Jamaica. And you could just see the damage, Terence, it is just absolutely catastrophic across this region. And of course we're going to continue to keep our eyes on it as Melissa continues to move up towards the north. So of course there are still preparation efforts as well as debris efforts making sure that things are going to be starting to get cleared up across the nation of Jamaica. But I do want to switch gears just a bit, talk about a few of these forecasts if you are lucky winners watching RAV right now we got Tooth Fairy 98 from Panama City Beach. For Panama City Beach, Florida, you got a nice forecast ahead of time. You got temperatures in the mid to upper 60s getting up to the 70s. As we get to Sunday. We also have a Mesa, Arizona forecast from Madeline 6404 on YouTube. We got temperatures in the upper 80s. So it is going to stay hot all the way throughout into Monday. Tuesday also going to be sticking around in the 90s. And then finally we're going to go to Warwick, Rhode island from Diana Rang from New York or from YouTube, excuse me. With temperatures are going to be sticking around in the mid to upper 50s. We got real good chances for rainfall today. But things will really start to even out as we go throughout the letter portions of this work week. Like I mentioned, Hurricane Melissa, still a Category 2 storm heading off to the north, likely to make impacts to Bermuda, Terence, as we go throughout the next several hours into today and early morning tomorrow. But the good news, Terence, is that things are really starting to shape up for this storm and this is sense that it's moving really, really quickly. So we're not really anticipating too much more in the realm of impacts across this region. And of course across the lower 48. Things are looking relatively dry for most of us out here. We had that center of low pressure that's pushing this moisture further off towards the east. So we can expect some more rainfall across places like Warwick, Rhode Island. That was a mouthful throughout the day today. But, yeah, that's a better look at what's going on across the lower 48. Most of us should stay dry, including you guys out there in Denver.
Terrence Bates
Terrence, thanks so much. Adrian, appreciate it, my friend. We'll talk later on. All right, folks, and you see that QR screen there at the bottom of your screen? Go ahead and scan that code right there and join the Weather Nation family. Never know. Adrian may even give you a hometown forecast just for you. All right, let's get you over to David Brody now. David, I like that pocket square. You're outdoing me this morning.
David Brody
Well, thank you so much. I appreciate I'm on the COVID of gq. And then I woke up for my dreams. So thank you, Iverson. All right, so President Trump met with Chinese President xi Jinping about 10 hours ago in South Korea. The big topic was trade, with the president later announcing he's going to be cutting tariffs on Chinese imports. But the United States is going to get quite a bit in return. More on that in a moment. Here's some of the meeting. Take a look.
Terrence Bates
Well, thank you very much.
David Brody
It's a great honor to be with a friend of mine really for a long time. Now, if you think about it, the very, very distinguished and respected president of China. And we will be having some discussions. I think we've already agreed to a lot of things and we'll agree to some more right now. But President Xi is a great leader of a great country, and I think we're going to have a fantastic relationship for a long period of time. And it's an honor to have, have you with us. Thank you very much. All right, let's bring Brian Glenn in from the White House. Brian, this trade deal, your reaction?
Terrence Bates
Wow.
Adrian Hernandez
Wow.
Brian Glenn
I watched it as it unfolded, David, but I think my biggest takeaway is I'm glad this meeting finally happened. We kept seeing the language on tariffs just escalate from 50 to 100 to 150% now that they finally sat down. Now we could, we, we could begin to, to work this out. Now, mind you, this deal is there's no ink on paper yet. This is just a gentleman's agreement, but it is huge. Go over some of the numbers real quickly. China has agreed to go from 20% to 10% tariff of all goods entering the U.S. which is, which is great. Also, China will also commit to buying more soybeans and other farm products, which is huge. That's going to help out the farmers that we have here as well. It also says that they're going to make it easier for us to buy rare earth minerals. I'm not going to have that control that China threatened earlier on having in regards to rare earth minerals. Just a huge deal. I'm glad also we're not going into war with China. A lot of people are speculating that China is building up this big escalation against the U.S. obviously, that's not going to happen. And did you notice, Dave, it at 9:04 right before this meeting took place, President Trump pushed out testing of nuclear weapons out on true social. I just wonder if that had any kind of influence on the, the tone of that meeting.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Brian Glenn
That's one way to start the meeting.
Terrence Bates
No, absolutely, absolutely. Kind of set the tone for everything for sure. So let's talk about the drug wars in general, if you will, particularly in the Caribbean. President Trump, of course, has been ordering airstrikes on suspected drug boats heading from Venezuela to the United States. And now the US Navy's newest aircraft carrier is being deployed to that region to kind of show a show of strength, if you will. What can you tell us about the president's plans long term?
Brian Glenn
Well, long term on this and he is not backing down. He has launched this is a war against the drug smugglers. This is not against Venezuela, the country itself. So this USS Gerald Ford is a aircraft carrier. It is a battleship that's designed to hold a lot of planes which with a little bit more of a shorter Runway for them to get off. So expect more air and sea flyovers, more, more surveillance from the air. But also, he is not ruling out striking on land as well. And that's that kind of ups this game a little bit more. But once again, this is his war on drugs, on the drug cartels, on the drug smugglers, not against the country of Venezuela who has failed to really, you know, reel in any of these drug cartels for bringing stuff to our shores. We have killed, I think, 14, 16 people on these boats. And I think that will continue to happen as long as we see them having any attempt of getting drugs in our country.
Dr. Gina
Brian, let's talk a little bit about the shutdown. Thanks to Senate Democrats, the government is still closed, meaning federal workers are working without pay. However, Vice President J.D. vance says military members will continue receiving their pay amid the government shutdowns. And I want to ask you, as we're watching, I've been doing a lot of flying over the last couple of weeks as we're watching. Is there any update at all on privatizing, any discussion on privatizing some of these government jobs that I think could be either eliminated Doge style or privatized?
Brian Glenn
Well, it's interesting you say that because the last Oval Office I had there, I, that was not my first question, should have been. I had to stay on topic as the president requested in this particular setting. But that is one of my, I promise you, Dr. Gina, that is my next question. And I did some traveling just in the last day or so and I've noticed the morale for some of these TSA workers are down. And I've tried to chat with them going through, going through security. They have to continue to come to work. They know the importance of their job. But you can tell they, they're just not, they're just that the pep is not in their step. And God bless them, they're still coming to work. We're still going to pay our military. Thank God for that. I think the tariffs are a big part of being able to have some, some revenue to be able to do that. But you know, think about the hardships that these people are going through, paying their bills, their car note, their rent, their mortgage, all these people having to scramble and kind of make payment arrangements. But I think we will get this government open next week. I really do. I think the Democrats are going to realize that they are really putting people in a hard place right now. And then you get this government opened up and if you want to talk about health care, let's do it. But let's open up the government and then let's solve the problems. But it was to see the border security once again. Border security, they're affected as well.
David Brody
Brian Glenn, great to have you as always.
Brian Glenn
Thank you.
Doug Mastriano
Appreciate it.
Brian Glenn
We'll see you tomorrow.
David Brody
All right. Coming up, we're checking in with a CPAC at the ending Christian Persecution event that is next. When we come back.
Terrence Bates

Joining us now from the summit is Rav Congressional correspondent Benny Ray Harmony. Great to have you on the show with us this morning. Benny. Give us a live look of what the event is like.
Terrence Bates
Like.
Dr. Gina
Hi Emily.
Virginia Allen
Yeah, this is going to be an incredible event. It is really here to bring policymakers and religious leaders and advocates together. We see a lot of talk about things that need to be done but this summit is in place to ensure that action follows those conversations. We are expecting some keynote speakers like Senator Josh Hawley. Our own Jack Bosobic will also be heading on stage at 12:30pm to discuss the, the ongoing conflict that Christians face on a daily basis and, and how we can combat that and move forward in a time where we truly all feel like we are in a revival. I think this is the starting point of that.
Emily Finn
Yeah, absolutely Benny. So walk us through what those conversations are looking like. You know, what kind of action, what kind of policy have people been talking about at this event to make sure that religious persecution doesn't have happen here in the United States?
Virginia Allen
Yeah, absolutely. And I think the biggest thing right now is religious leaders and policymakers speaking. You know we have seen a lot ever since the assassination of Charlie Kirk about how churches are speaking about some of these biggest, the biggest topics that we're seeing in our country. And I think that policymakers and religious leaders and pastors coming into rooms together and figuring out how to, how they can speak the message of God and, and continue working together. They're not on different sides and politics and religion go hand in hand. And so I think it's time that, that that action is made and we're expecting lots of conversations. This event kicks off at 9:30 Eastern Time so we will have more for you on some of these conversations and really what is being said. But as of now we're just waiting for that.
Emily Finn
Benny Ray Harmony, thank you so much for being with us this morning. Look forward to your reporting at CPAC throughout the day.
Virginia Allen
Thank you.
Emily Finn
Coming up, we're headed down to Wall street for the opening bell and insight into how to hold on to your hard earned dollars with some common sense. We'll be back with more American sunrise in just two minutes.
Terrence Bates
A live look at the Capitol in Washington D.C. unfortunately not a whole lot of activity happening there right now. Even though there is talk of a potential deal being discussed between Senate Democrats and Senate Republicans. They could lead to some sort of sort of agreement to reopen the government. But again it's still said to be in its early stages. So we'll continue to monitor that for you. Hopefully it happens and hopefully the government does reopen here in short order. In the meantime, we are getting ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's set to ring here in about six minutes or so. Here's how things are looking in pre market trading. Really only one good sign on our board. Everything else is in the red right now. Hopefully all of that changes when the opening bell rings and the day of trading actually gets underway. We'll take you to New York for that here in short order. But first, let's get you over to David Brody. David, good morning.
David Brody
Good morning. T. Bates saw that gold was down a little bit this morning. But that has not been the trend for sure. I mean, look, buy gold and get free silver. So that is correct. By the way, what I said was true because for every $5,000 purchased from Birch Gold Group this month in advance of Veterans Day, they're going to send you a free patriotic silver round and it commemorates the Gadsden and American flags. Because look, I mean, gold is up over 40% since the beginning of the year and Birch Gold can help you own it by converting an existing IRA or 401k into a tax sheltered IRA in physical gold. Plus, they're going to send you, like we said, this free silver honoring our veterans on qualifying purchases. And if your current or former military, Birch Gold has got a special offer just for you. They're waiving custodial fees for the first year on investments of any amount. They've got an A plus rating with the Better Business Bureau, tens of thousands of happy customers. So I encourage you to diversify your savings into gold. Here's how you do it. You text America to the number 989-898. Pretty simple for a free info kit and to claim your eligibility for free silver with qualifying purchases before the end of the month. Again, once again, you text America to 989-898. Do it today, not manana.
Adrian Hernandez
All right.
David Brody
For more, let's bring in Birch Gold Group's precious metals specialist. And they're so precious, as President Trump would say. Those metals, I love them. They're precious. Philip Patrick joining us from an ungodly hour on the West Coast. We want to apologize for the darkness though. You can take it up with God, I guess. Philip, talk to us. The Fed cut rates again this week even though inflation still above target. So what's going on? Good morning to you. Are you awake by the way?
Brian Glenn
I am just about awake. Good morning, David. It's good to see you, as always. I think what we're watching is what economists call fiscal dominance, and we're seeing it happen in real time. This is the moment where debt drives policy, not necessarily data. Inflation's still running hot. Obviously it's been coming down under Trump, but It's still at 3%, well above the Fed's target. But the problem is Washington just added another trillion dollars in new debt in the last 79 days. The interest bill alone on the debt this year, $1.2 trillion. That's more than U.S. defense spending. That's why I think a rate cut yesterday was virtually inevitable. Not because inflation's beaten, but because the government can't afford normal rates anymore. It's that simple.
David Brody
Yeah, no, it sounds simple to me, so to speak. And I'm a layman, literally, with emphasis on the word layman. All right. The Fed finally acting though, more like the Treasury's partner, I guess, than an independent central bank. Here, here. Is that your sense?
Brian Glenn
Yeah, it's feeling that way. The line between the Fed and the treasury is getting a little bit blurry. Powell's talking about a balance of risk a lot, meaning that he's more afraid of job losses than inflation. But the problem is employment's kind of historical. Unemployment rather, is kind of historically low today. The average rate since 1945 has been about 5.7%, and we're at 4.3 today. So it seems like his concerns are overblown. And that's why I say, I think what's really driving policy today is the cost of servicing debt. Every 1% increase in the rates adds about $380 billion to annual interest costs. Now, you know, that's paying another $380 billion with getting nothing back in exchange. So I think today's rate cut cuts not so much about unemployment, but more about survival. Lowering the government's debt cost burden, because without it, we just can't function today.
David Brody
Yeah. Hey, Phil, we got about 30 seconds or so. Inflation looks like it's easing. Doesn't that give the Fed some cover.
Brian Glenn
Here look a little bit? Certainly been the catalyst for them to drop rates. My concern about inflation easing is Americans aren't really feeling it.
Doug Mastriano
Right.
Brian Glenn
It's not matching our reality. So I think there's been some oversight when it comes to the numbers. Obviously, the Fed has been flying blind and there's been some mismeasurements on housing costs or specifically owners equivalent rent. So I think real cpi, they're going to readjust closer to about three and a half percent. That was certainly the catalyst for the Fed to lower rates. Whether it's really the case, we'll have to wait and see.
David Brody
10 seconds or so. Where do people get more information regarding Birch Gold?
Brian Glenn
It's really simple. Text America to 989-898. Get the information. That's what we specialize in. We're very confident once people read the information, the solutions will become clear. But text America to 989-898 and just get reading would be my advice.
David Brody
Phil, Patrick, great to have you. Please go back to sleep. We appreciate you. All right, time for T. Bates in Denver for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
Brian Glenn
Sponsored by amac, the association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can write the course of America.
Terrence Bates
And we are joining the applause on Wall street in progress. As you can hear, they're that cyber. Yeah, who is that? Cyber60 is at the podium this morning. There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The bell is ringing, which means the markets are now officially open. A lot of the runners are already scurrying with those first buys and sells. Here's how things are looking right now. The only bright spot is the Nasdaq which is up, but the S P500 as well as the Dow are both in the red and look just like that. The NASDAQ that is down in the red as well. The entire board not looking so positive at the moment. We'll continue to monitor it for you though throughout the day and keep you updated. Still to come here on American Sunrise, President Trump shutting the door on rumors that he'll be seeking a third term in office. 47 Sounding off on the idea during a trip through Asia this week. We'll bring you what he had to say ahead on American Sunrise. Sam.
Doug Mastriano
All right.
Dr. Gina
Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us this morning. We invite you to hop on in our conversation over on YouTube. Getter and rumble. And it is time now to take the political pulse of America. Here's the beat. Today, President Donald Trump says he knows the Constitution is clear. He is not allowed to run for a third term. Now speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Wednesday, President Trump said it's too bad because he's so popular right now, but he understands the two term limit that is set by the US Constitution. President praised his possible successors, at least the ones he would choose, including both Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President J.D. vance, both considered future GOP possible contenders. Here was the president yesterday.
Brian Glenn
You know, the sad thing is I have my highest numbers that I've ever had.
David Brody
As I should.
Brian Glenn
I ended eight wars.
David Brody
And we have the greatest economy in history.
Brian Glenn
And by the way, energy prices are way down. Everything's way down. Beef is a little bit high.
David Brody
We're going to get beef down, too.
Brian Glenn
But prices are down and the economy's up. The only thing that's not to down is the stock prices.
David Brody
And 401ks are through the roof. Everyone's 401ks hitting records.
Terrence Bates
So we have the greatest economy we've ever had.
Brian Glenn
I have my highest poll numbers that I've ever had.
David Brody
And you know, based on what I read, I guess I'm not allowed to run. So we'll see what happens.
Dr. Gina
For more, let's bring in Debro and T. Bates. You know, David Brody.
David Brody
Yes.
Dr. Gina
I think this people around me get frustrated with me, advisors and such on my team. When I say that I don't know if MAGA is going to accept prescribed candidates. I really don't. I think MAGA is so fiercely independent that just the thought of anyone, including President Trump, who MAGA obviously reveres in love, I just, I feel like, and I don't know, because there's going to be a lot of money behind candidates like J.D. vance and Marco Rubio, especially if President Trump does put his stamp of endorsement on them. But I still think MAGA is going to want to contemplate this. We all look back and we know that Marco Rubio, once upon a time was little Marco. I mean, I can't forget that. And we know that J.D. vance once upon a time said some things that MAGA torture took very much to heart that were very contrary to President Trump. And MAGA takes that as a slight. And they don't forget. You know, that's the thing about the Pachyderm. It doesn't forget. David Brody, I'm just curious your position on this because I'm hearing a lot of the whisper campaign saying, no, no, no, no, we love you, President Trump, but we will decide who the next president is.
David Brody
MAGA has independent minds. There's no doubt about that for sure. Having said that, I think it's pretty much a slam dunk here. Whoever President Trump chooses to endorse, if he endorses at all, by the way. I'm assuming he's going to endorse, but if he endorses, that's going to be the MAGA mantle torch passing. It just Is. And so therefore because of that, I think most of maga, there's going to be splinters of maga. That's not, that's going to say no way, absolutely not. But I think central Red maga, if you will, is going to go along with it. I don't think there's any question about it. And so there's that real quick, regarding this whole thing about the third term for President Trump. Please stop. Please stop. Okay. There's a reason we don't like the no Kings rallies, not just because of the liberals, but because we don't want kings. Not that President Trump would be a king on a third term, but hey, that doesn't necessarily play into, or actually plays a little bit more into the liberal narrative, quite frankly. And beyond that, oh, I'm sorry, my bad. You'd have to change the 22nd Amendment. And I know Congressman Andy Ogles is thinking about doing that. He's introduced this bill. But womp, womp, not going to happen. So can we just please stop talking about President Trump third term? And I know Steve Bannon has talked about this. It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. I mean, I'm not saying people aren't going to try to make it happen, but it's not going to happen. T. Bates.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, he's not interested in that. I don't believe. And he's pretty much said so. Yeah, I'm sorry.
David Brody
No, I just said stop, stop it.
Terrence Bates
Right, agreed. He's, he's pretty much said that he's not interested. And Dr. Deanna, to your point, while President Trump may decide that he's going to endorse a candidate, ultimately MAGA will decide because there will still be a primary despite President Trump's endorsement. If he decides that there will be a primary and Republican voters will decide who the next presidential candidate will be and which is the way it should be. That's proper.
Dr. Gina
It's interesting if you stop to contemplate David Brody just for a second, for sake of argument, I'm having fun with you here. We are really at 2013 of the 2016 election. See what I'm saying? We are really only at 2013. There's a lot of time in 2013. If anyone told you the next president was going to be Donald Trump, you would have laughed in their faces. In clear into 2014. That's the case. We are only that far along in the election cycle. There is a lot of time for people to make mistakes, for people to sour on establishments perceptions, things like that there's a lot of time. And so I just, I wouldn't be so sure that things are going to go exactly the way you laid out, that's all. I'm just gonna put a little bet caveat on there with you, David Brody. And I still owe Terrence a stake from the last election, by the way, because I lost a bet with him. So, like, don't take me too seriously. But I'm just saying, I think MAGA is fiercely independent. They are the Tea Party originally.
David Brody
I agree.
Dr. Gina
I just don't know that they're gonna take a prescription. I don't know. I'm curious what our audience thinks because I think it's a fascinating topic of conversation. But I don't want to decide today that anyone is going to be the next president because it's a long ways away and they have a lot to prove to us first.
Terrence Bates
Absolutely.
David Brody
I 100% agree. And let me take pictures of that steak dinner when you guys go out for that. I'd like to see. All right. We still, by the way, thankfully, have President Trump in office for a few more years, so let's not write him off quite yet. Of course, one of his biggest accomplishments, guys, will be the aggressive crackdown on crime within our own American cities. But of course, the left is going to paint a very different picture of his record. Just recently, 80 year old, with emphasis on 80 year old. Senator Dick Durbin, who isn't seeking reelection next year, is accusing the administration of terrorizing people. People. Of course he is. In a post on X, the Senate Democrat whip said this. The Trump administration is terrorizing people in their homes. Immigrants afraid to go to church, the market, the their children's schools, restaurants, all because of ice is what he says. That's not what America stands for. Well, they don't stand for Dick Durbin, okay? That's for sure. Join us now with reaction as author, speaker, podcaster, the co founder of Firmly Planted Family and just an overall great person. And my friend, Heidi. Why'd I talk, like, in Southern accent? I feel like Hillary Clinton. I'm changing accents as I go. Heidi St. John. Heidi, good to see you this morning. I'm curious what you make of Senator Durbin's statement. And have I said good morning? I think I have. Good morning to you.
Virginia Allen
Yeah, good morning. I mean, it's definitely morning over here. Hey, guys, good to see you. Listen, Dick Durbin needs to change his rhetoric, okay? Casey keeps talking about immigrants. These are not immigrants. These are illegal aliens, illegal migrants in our country. And he needs to change his. He needs to change the verbiage to get it right. So when he says that, that President Trump is terrorizing immigrants, he's. He's wrong. People who are here illegally, who broke into our country, who are here by, via breaking our laws, should be afraid of ice. So if you're here illegally and you didn't listen to Kristi Noem when she said, we're going to give you a free ticket out of here and you can come back legally, then you should be afraid. And so Dick Durbin needs to read the room. I mean, he's almost 81 years old. I don't know if he can read anymore, but he needs to read the room.
Terrence Bates
Well, Heidi, I'd like to talk a little bit about the Biden era's FBI Arctic Frost investigation. New reports are out that Show More than 160 Republicans were investigated as part of that probe, which, of course, includes current Trump administration officials. What do you make of all of this? And it really, to me, goes to show how the Biden administration truly did weaponize the doj. They argue that's what the Trump administration is doing now. What is it? Pot. Call the kettle black. Really?
David Brody
Yeah.
Virginia Allen
Well, I mean, I think the New York Post had a really great response to it. Their headline read, what else did Biden's Justice Department do? I mean, that is the question. So we recognize now that these allegations. This is a ma. I mean, these. This is. Have huge implications for us in our institutions, because once we can demonstrate that law enforcement was used in a partisan way, this has massive implications for the legitimacy of the doj, of the FBI. And nobody trusts these institutions anymore. After we saw what they did to people in the rona, if we saw what they did to President Trump, to see the Biden administration continue to have this legacy of a very shoddy way to use the DOJ and the FBI is super concerning. It also raises really significant questions about the First Amendment. Right. So what about the First Amendment? What about the Fourth Amendment? Free speech, freedom of assembly, unreasonable search and seizure. I mean, this has fraught with difficulty, just like everything else that Joe Biden did. You know, we called him Sleepy Joe, but this dude never slept because apparently he was putting law enforcement officials to spy on sitting U.S. senators. I think it is shameful. I hope that they uncover this thing and we start to see these people prosecuted because they need to be prosecuted.
Dr. Gina
Heidi. The Department of Homeland Security rolling out new rules for foreign workers on Wednesday. The DHS's immigration agency says all foreigners working in the US must undergo and a full re vetting before their work permits can be renewed, rolling back a Biden era policy that allowed renewals without even any checks being completed. So, Heidi, what will this change?
Virginia Allen
Well, it's just bringing common sense. I mean, President Trump said that we were going to get tired of winning. Your girl, Heidi. I'm not tired of it. This is just a common sense measure to ensure appropriate vetting and screening has been completed before some alien elite from an alien in the United States can work here. It's just common sense. Being in the United States. Working in the United States is a privilege. If you are not a citizen here, it is not a right. Congratulations to Kristi Noem and the rest of everybody over there for getting their heads screwed on straight and trying to undo more, even more. This is just more damage from Joe Biden and the radical left. Common sense coming back to America. I'm here for it.
Doug Mastriano
It.
David Brody
I love how you talk in the third person. Your girl, Heidi, I love that, that, that's classic. That's the line of the show, by the way. It came in late at the end of the second hour, but I, I, I like it. All right, Heidi, real quick before we let you go. You got it. I mean, I've been out to where you are there in Washington state, firmly planted. What you were doing in the homeschool space is unprecedented. It's amazing. It's a, it's a, an act of God, if you will. Literally an act of God, what you're doing out there. Give us 30 seconds as to where people can find more information and kind of an update on all of that.
Virginia Allen
Yeah. Well, we've started the nation's first and largest homeschool resource center right outside the gates of hell at Portland, Oregon. We're located in Vancouver, Washington. We have 1700 students right now and over 300 classes. We are helping parents rescue their children out of the public school system that is injuring our children body, soul, mind and spirit. We want to see this all over the country. People can find out more about us by going to firmly planted family.org and just clicking on the Homeschool Resource Center. I truly believe, David, you've seen this place in action. If we had homeschool resource centers like this one in cities across America, we'd start to see real systemic change and a move back toward righteousness and the support of the family.
David Brody
100%.
Terrence Bates
That absolutely. Heidi, we appreciate your time this morning. Thanks so much for being here with us.
Virginia Allen
You're welcome. Good to see you guys. Thank you for having me. Thanks.
Terrence Bates

New medical studies are raising some serious questions about these supplements. The good news is there's an even better solution for your heart joints. And more. More information coming, coming up on American Sunrise.
Emily Finn
Welcome back to American Sunrise. As many as 19 million Americans take fish oil supplements. 19 million. But why is that? We're told that fish oil supplements are rich in omega 3 fatty acids and those omega 3s help with heart health, joint health and many more benefits. But does fish oil really help or have we been lured in with marketing claims that are now being challenged by medical studies? My next guest, Chad Walding is an expert in the field of physical therapy, nutrition and nutraceuticals. Chad is the co founder of Native Path, a health and wellness company focused on supplements backed by science. Chad, thank you so much for joining the show.
David Brody
Hi Emily. So good to be here. Thank you for having me.
Emily Finn
So I know that we. The last time that you were on the show, you spoke about krill oil being known for its powerful anti inflammatory properties. Can you explain how reducing inflammation supports overall cellular health?
David Brody
Well, it's important to know that inflammation plays a part in so many of the medical challenges we have. It's part of autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular diseases, metabolic diseases, certain cancers, gastrointestinal disorders. You know, any medical, medical term that we have with itis behind it, like arthritis, gastritis, myocarditis, it's inflammation. When we fix inflammation, we fix a lot of things. We're inflamed as a society in large part because of an inflammatory diet. Sugars and toxic fats have gotten us inflamed. We feel it in our joints, we feel it in our health. One of the best ways to counteract inflammation is omega 3s. Right? These are incredibly natural ways to cool off inflammation. And studies show krill oil can help with heart health. Reducing inflammation, reducing the swelling, and a lot of the health issues we face as a, as a society.
Emily Finn
So beyond inflammation, which sounds like a big problem, krill oil does seem to offer a wide range of benefits from brain and heart health to skin and joints. Which of these effects do you find most significant?
David Brody
To me, it's heart health. You know, we have to keep in mind that that heart disease is the number one cause of early mortality in the United States, really in the world. So when we fix that issue, we start to fix a whole lot of issues. And you know, when we think about heart health, a lot of people think about cholesterol levels and triglycerides and things like that. Studies show that krill oil can help lower triglycerides and LDL cholesterol. That's the bad kind. While boosting HDL cholesterol. That's the good kind. And it's also been shown to improve blood flow for well rounded heart support. So people with swelling in the hands, in the legs and things like that we have seen at Native Path this do incredibly helpful things for reducing inflammation in the body and reducing swelling.
Emily Finn
Well, that's what our viewers like to see, helpful things. And I'm sure that this krill versus fish oil debate definitely hit home with a lot of them today. For the many fish oil supplement users out there who are wondering if they're wasting their money on empty promises, if they want to switch to krill oil, or for the newbies who are just hearing about the benefits for the first time, how can they order.
David Brody
Absolutely. Give this a shot. So we're extending up to 66% off on your audience today when they, when they visit Native Path, Crow Oil.com It's a special offer for a bundle of deals that we're giving away. Again, visit nativepathcrew oil.com and that website.
Emily Finn
Is at the bottom of the screen. There's also a QR code. So pull out your phones. Chad Walding, thank you so much for being on the show.
David Brody
Thank you, Emily.
Emily Finn
More American Sunrise right after the break.
Dr. Gina
Wow. End of show already. How did this happen? Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks so much for joining us today. Time now now for our sunnyside up and in the pan today in northern Sri Lanka, an area long off the tourist map is celebrating a life changing milestone. The safe removal of its 300,000th landmine. The Halo Trust, a British nonprofit dedicated to clearing explosives from former war zones, has cleared an area more than a third larger than Manhattan. The work has allowed over a quarter million people to return home, many for the first time since the civil war ended in 2000. 2009. Officials say the operation has cleared more than 120 square kilometers of land, making it safe again for farming, rebuilding and tourism. The organization continues to clear mines across the region, helping to turn a former war zone into a symbol of hope and recovery. To discuss, let's bring back in David Brody and Terence Bates. You know, I walked through a lot of places that were full of land mines in Israel just recently. I was like, I wanted to show what my producers wouldn't let me show. I wanted to show some of this because I know that we sent over some pictures of some of the stuff that I saw that was just so amazing. But to walk through those fields that you'd seen on TV that used to be full of landmines is a little uneasy because you feel like, well, what if they missed one? I don't know, David, how do they clear these land mine areas?
David Brody
I am not an expert.
Dr. Gina
I thought you knew everything.
David Brody
No. Yes, I do. Oh, sorry, that was my ego speaking. No, I don't know anything about landmine extraction T baits, but you are clearly the expert on that. So please give us a.
Dr. Gina
Well, you were a former military baby, right?
Terrence Bates
I, I am a military baby, but I didn't live in any communities that still had landmines. Never lived in those communities. But I will say this, guys, it still baffles me at how many countries still have landmines and these unexploded ordinance around. You know, it's not necessarily uncommon to find unexploded or undetonated, you know, World War II bombs that might be dug up or, you know, some of these Far Eastern agents. You think of Laos, Cambodia, you know, those sorts of places, Myanmar that still have these massive landmine fields. Fields. It's crazy to me to think that in this day and Age, those sorts of areas still exist and that there's still a daily threat to people who are just traipsing across the countryside. It's crazy to believe that that still happens, but it is still reality for so many people. David and Dr.
David Brody
I know this. You got to do it very carefully. There's my instructions, Gina. You got to do it carefully. And oh, by the way, in D.C. we got lights here. Yeah, we got plenty of landmines in D.C. tread lately. Yeah, don't tread on me. Oh, sorry. I went Tea party. Go ahead, please.
Dr. Gina
You know, one of the things that I saw, by the way, want to say hello to 86 year old Ruth, who is a big fan of this show. Everybody wants me to make sure I do that because it was so special to hear she watches us every morning. Ruth. Yeah, very special. And learned all of that over in Israel. One of the other things I saw over there that I thought was so fascinating was they on almost every corner, they'll have these little motorcycles with these big boxes that ride behind them like a big cooler kind of a thing. And these are emergency vehicles on every corner, people trained to take off and do stroke or heart attack or whatever, you know, helping people immediately. And they have these on in the cities, at least in Jerusalem, on, you know, every other street corner. You walk past these little motorcycles that can just respond immediately. What a great idea. Why don't we do that in the US that's what I love about international travel, is you do learn ideas and the way other people see and perceive and do things and learn a lot.
David Brody

Live the truth. Colby wants you guys to know he's having a bad hair day, too. But tomorrow is Puppy Friday, so it'll all get better. We'll see you tomorrow on a Thursday. This is an iHeart podcast.
