Congressman Mark Alford
What's that sound?
Terrence Bates
That's the sound of Downy unstoppable scent beads going into your washing machine and.
Congressman Mark Alford
Giving your clothes freshness that lasts all day long. There it is again.
Terrence Bates
It's like music to your ears. Or more like music to your nose.
Congressman Mark Alford
That freshness is irresistible.
Terrence Bates
Let's get a Downy Unstoppables bottle shake. And now a sniff solo.
Congressman Mark Alford
Nice.
Terrence Bates
With Downy Unstoppables, you toss wash wow.
Congressman Mark Alford
For all day freshness.
Terrence Bates
Ahead on American Sunrise, a salute to the brave Americans who have served our nation. On this Veterans Day, we'll have continuing coverage and gratitude to the men and women on the front lines of democracy. Plus, breaking overnight, the Senate reaches a deal to end the longest government shutdown in US History. Now it's up to the House to get the measure onto President Trump's desk. Missouri Congressman Mark Alford just moments away with some inside baseball on what's happening on Capitol Hill. And then later, why some Democrats are calling on Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to step down after the shutdown debacle. What could Schumer's fate ultimately be? Those stories and so much more right now on American Sunrise.
David Brody
Good morning, America.
Dr. Gina Louden
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina Louden
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina Louden
And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning. Happy Veterans Day to everybody I'm Dr. Gina. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches where it is 45 degrees. David Brody. I don't know what I think you want, I want you to do about it, but I'll just bring you in anyway. Here in Washington D.C. t. Bates in Denver, T. Is thinking, wow, What a wimp. 45 degrees is not even cold. 45 degrees is sunbathing weather for Terrence. He's out in his bikini when it's 45 degrees. But here's the kicker. Here's the kicker.
David Brody
Oh, sorry, go ahead.
Dr. Gina Louden
It says it feels like 30. He's going to change into his bikini. It says it feels like 33 degrees today in Florida. And I don't know if that's just because we're from Florida, so we're not used to the cold. So it's extra cold. I don't know. But boys, I'm telling you, woo.
David Brody
This morning, the suffering, the suffering in Florida, that's gotta be rough. I feel for you.
Terrence Bates
Yeah, you know what, Dr. Gina, I'm not gonna even comment. First of all, I'm still stuck on the whole idea of me in a bikini. But secondly, that 45 degrees and you guys are like, oh, my God, woe is me.
Dr. Gina Louden
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's cold. I mean, first words, everyone. You see, it's the first thing they say. They broke our Florida. They are sure that the new Tucker video about weather changing is 100% accurate. And those are the only conversations anyone in Florida is having right now. It's cold.
Terrence Bates
Well, look, the conversation we're going to have this morning is, first of all, we're going to be thanking our veterans. But also, the Senate voted overnight to end the government shutdown. The measure now still does go to the House. So it's not over just yet, but one huge step. Obviously, under this particular plan, the government would be funded through January. There's some other details that we'll discuss. But, David, what a day. Finally, the longest ever government shutdown looks like it's going to finally come to an end. And Chuck Schumer, well, he's not popular amongst his Democrat colleagues.
David Brody
No, he's not at all. And we want to play a little bit of that sound not from Chuck Schumer, but from President Trump, who basically said, sorry, Chuck, game over. Take a look.
Congressman Mark Alford
He thought he could break the Republicans and the Republicans broke him.
Terrence Bates
But he did think that we have.
Congressman Mark Alford
Look, we have good policy, they have bad policy. And there's something, I don't know if it's Trump Derangement or are they just crazed? They're like crazed lunatics. But, you know, we have just great policy.
Terrence Bates
We have good people.
Congressman Mark Alford
They have some good people, too. I know a lot of Democrats. They're not all crazy.
Terrence Bates
They're not all. But you have some that are absolutely terrible.
Congressman Mark Alford
I look at this Crockett, this is.
Terrence Bates
A very low IQ person, and I.
Congressman Mark Alford
Look at somebody that comes from Somalia.
Terrence Bates
Who, where they don't have anything.
Congressman Mark Alford
They don't have police. They don't have military.
Terrence Bates
They don't have anything.
Congressman Mark Alford
All they have is crime.
Terrence Bates
And she comes in and tells us.
Congressman Mark Alford
How to run our country. The Constitution says this.
Terrence Bates
The Constitution, the whole thing is crazy. I feel badly because I've known Chuck Schumer.
Congressman Mark Alford
I knew him when he was a person who loved Israel. And now he's a Palestinian. He's become a Palestinian. And it's amazing.
Terrence Bates
I've never seen a politician change so much.
Congressman Mark Alford
Also, he doesn't have, you know, he was a pretty talented guy. He's lost his talent.
David Brody
Chuck Schumer, the Palestinian line never gets old. Gina. I will say this, that, look, Chuck Schumer gambled here, and he thought that Donald Trump would go away from Thune and Johnson and basically say, all right, I'll cut a deal. Let's figure it out. Because, you know, Trump can be, you know, you're never quite sure exactly where he's gonna. Which is the beauty of Trump, really, if you think about it. But he never. He stayed with Thune and Johnson the whole way. And Schumer gambled, and he gambled incorrectly, and that's the end of that. Gina.
Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah, well, there will be a lot to talk about in the days and weeks to come as we get into actually funding the government and all of those sorts of different questions that we'll have to answer. But for right now, let's check out today's Bible verse. It's from Deuteronomy 33:25. Your sandals shall be iron and bronze as your days, so shall your strength be. It's a beautiful verse. It's a promise of enduring strength and divine protection. It means God equips his people to stand firmly and walk securely, no matter how rough the path. Sounds like our veterans. The harder the journey, the stronger he makes you. Your strength will match the demands of your days. So I love this verse. You know, I was listening the other day, actually, I think I saw this on Instagram. It said, the devil doesn't make life hard for those who are already his. That's why bad people often seem to thrive while good people suffer. Kind of changes perspective, doesn't it? Well, speaking of a change in perspective, the Senate passed a bill to end the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. The bill keeps the government funded through the end of January and funds other departments and agencies for the next few full fiscal year. It now goes to the House, where Speaker Mike Johnson wants to vote on it soon. Then it heads, of course, to President Trump's desk. So for more, let's bring in Missouri Congressman Mark Alford. Congressman, how quickly do you see this getting through the House when it gets there? Or will there be divisions inside the GOP on this deal?
Congressman Mark Alford
Well, first off, good to see you guys. I'm back in Washington. Got here last night. Our flight was about half full. I think people are really a little concerned about traveling right now by air, but I think we're going to get this wrapped up by 5pm tomorrow. On Wednesday, we're waiting for other members to get back. We have one who's in Guam right now. I know a lot of people are, are, have huge Veterans Day celebrations and ceremonies that they're attending. Dan Crenshaw, one down in Texas. And so people are starting to stream in and we should have everyone in place. And I think we'll have this all buttoned up by maybe 6 or 7 o' clock tomorrow night.
David Brody
Congressman, do you see any last second kind of defect? I mean, Tom Massie, I mean, I'm assuming he's voting no. I wonder what MTG is gonna do. And what about Democrats? Are they all gonna vote no? I've heard that there's at least 3, 4, 5 that will vote yes on this. So what are you hearing exactly on the count? Potentially, yeah.
Congressman Mark Alford
Jared Golan voted yes on it back on September 19th. I think you may have a few other Democrats swing over to the side of sanity and reopening the government at this point, after 40 days, 42 days now, the Schumer shutdown, they have seen the misery that they have inflicted on the American people. I don't see how you vote against reopening the government, but some of them are still so fearful the far left of the base of their party that they're going to do it. Hakeem Jeffries is swipping a no vote on this as well. I am on the whip team. We have been making our calls. It looks very favorable at this point, but I know Tom Emmert, our whip, and our chief deputy whip, Guy Rothenshaller, will be working today to try to make sure we have the votes to get this passed.
Terrence Bates
Congressman, I don't want to put the cart before the mule, but assuming this does pass, and I'm going to assume that it will in fact pass and get President Trump's signature, January 31st is going to be our next drop dead date. And there's still an ideological divide in terms of how to fund the government long term and all of those appropriations bills. Will we be back in a similar situation come January 31, say this extension passes?
Congressman Mark Alford
Well, Terrence, I know the concern for that. I'm glad we went to the end of January. That gives us more time to get this done. Tom Cole, our appropriation chair, we've been over this before. We got all 12 passed out of committee. We got three passed on the House floor. Those are the ones that are being lob lobbed back over by the Senate. With just a few minor adjustments on those three spending packages, we have nine left to do and I'm confident we can get this done. Steve Scalise warned us yesterday on our call in a very nice way that we are going to be really putting our, our shoulder to the wheel on this. We are going to be working long hours when we get back. There was one member from California who suggested we even possibly stay here over the weekends, work full five, five day weeks. We'll see what happens. It's going to be an aggressive schedule, but we have shown the American people that we are getting back to regular order and that's part of this process to, to, to maintain that trust of the American people. We have to get these appropriation bills, all of them done. And I, I'm confident that we will.
Dr. Gina Louden
Congressman, there's an Axios headline I wanted to ask you about. Supreme Court has rejected a challenge to gay marriage decision. The case was brought by former Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis. Davis denied same sex marriage license on Faith beliefs. What do you make of this? Will this be happening in other states?
Congressman Mark Alford
Well, look, I firmly believe in covenant marriage between one man, one woman and God Almighty. I know that others look at marriage as contractual. I think the problem that we've gotten into America now with this whole issue, it's kind of like a cake mix. The flour and the sugar, the baking powder has all been mixed together and now it's hard to separate those. I don't know what the individual states.
David Brody
Are going to do.
Congressman Mark Alford
This is a very tough decision for the Supreme Court. But you know, I think in the end God wins in this because he knows the true hearts, minds and souls of those individuals entering into marriage. And I believe covenant marriage is the way to go.
Dr. Gina Louden
Congressman Alford, thank you so much for your time. Great state of Missouri. Got to get it in every time with real teams and all that stuff. Not these ones that Terrence talks about every day.
Terrence Bates
Oh, my goodness. Hey, Congressman, by the way, when you mix all that stuff up into a cake, just cover it with icing and it'll protect it for then.
Congressman Mark Alford
Problem is I like to eat the icing. So we'll see.
Dr. Gina Louden
Buttercream.
Jake Novak
All right.
Congressman Mark Alford
Take care, guys.
Dr. Gina Louden
Thank you so much. We'll see you.
Congressman Mark Alford
Happy Veterans Day to all our veterans out there.
Dr. Gina Louden
Absolutely. We agree. All right. Coming up, we are going to check out the hottest headlines from the RAV newsroom with T. Bates. Also later, President Trump's son in law Jared Kushner and Middle east envoy Avi Berkowitz are in Israel meeting with top officials on the next phase of the peace plan. How are those talks progressing and what does it mean for the region? Next on American sunrise.

You know we say Happy Veterans Day on this day, on Veterans Day. And it's true. We all should be very happy, thankful for our freedoms for this show. I mean this type of show right here, it's not going to happen without the veterans who fought in wars to give us the ability for free speech and so many more rights. As we look over at Arlington National Cemetery as well, we've got a lot more coming up on Veterans Day throughout the next two hours. First, though, standing by with the latest headlines for the Real America's Voice newsroom, sponsored by amac.

House Speaker Mike Johnson is calling lawmakers in his chamber back to Washington, saying he'd like to pass a measure to reopen the government as soon as tomorrow. This after eight Senate Democrats crossed the aisle to vote with Republicans to pass a compromise to end what is now the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.
Congressman Mark Alford
At least some Democrats now finally appear ready to do what Republicans and President Trump and millions of hard working American people have been asking them to do for weeks. But as we said from the beginning, the people's government cannot be held hostage.
David Brody
To further anyone's political agenda. That was never right.
Congressman Mark Alford
And shutting down the government never produces anything. It never has.
David Brody
If you study history.
Terrence Bates
Monday's 60 to 40 Senate vote sets up a December vote on expiring Affordable Care act subsidies, which is what Democrats have been holding out for. Government agencies would now be funded through 1-3-30. Plus, the SNAP food benefit program, which has been disputed during the current shutdown, would be fully funded until September of next year under this agreement. The Supreme Court denies an appeal of a case seeking to overturn the High Court's 2015 ruling legalizing same sex marriage. The appeal was brought by former Kentucky court Clerk Kim Davis, who refused to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples after the Oberger Felt Hodges case, which allowed same sex marriages. Davis was trying to overturn a lower court ruling ordering her to pay $360,000 in damages and attorney's fees to a couple that she denied a marriage license. Three of the four dissenting justices in the 2015 Supreme Court case remain on the court today. In the past, Justice Clarence Todk, Clarence Thomas is the only one who has called for the ruling to be erased. Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito are the only other dissenting justices still on the high court today. Well, folks, you may want to go out and grab a double stack or even a $5 biggie bag at your neighborhood Wendy's sooner than later. It turns out the fast food burger chain is closing hundreds of stores over the next few months and an effort to boost profits and make its remaining stores more appealing. While Wendy's isn't being specific about how many stores will close and where those stores will be, we do know that the chain expects to shutter a, quote, mid single digit percentage of stores. Right now there are just over 6,000 restaurants in the United States. Closing just 5% of those locations would equal around 300 stores. You may remember just last year, 240 Wendy's locations were shut down with the company saying that many of the stores were simply out of date. That's a quick check of your headlines. Now let's get a quick check of your forecast from meteorologist Tracy Anthony. Also, you're going to see a QR code here at the bottom of your screen momentarily. We want you to go to that QR code, excuse me, and scan it and join our Weather NATION team. Tracy, good morning to you. Eat your heart out. Today is the day. It's going to be warmer for me than it is going to be for you there in Florida. I am loving it. That in and of itself is a headline of the day for me.
Meteorologist Tracy Anthony
I know you're already at 56. We're at 47. And by the afternoon you're still going to beat us. So enjoy it. It's not going to last long. It's just one day and we're heating right back up. But a lot of people, millions of people across the east coast and all the way down to South Florida dealing with this plunge of cool arctic air, talking about it for the last week or so, kind of anticipating it. And now it's here. We're out west. We're talking record heat, but it is so abnormally chilly here. We're talking wind chills across Florida down in the 20s and we're going to have iguanas falling out of trees with these temperatures so cold. So we're staying chilly throughout the day today, but our temperatures should rebound. So just one more morning with freeze mornings widespread across the Southeast. And some of these do stretch down into central Florida. So look at these wind chill values. Tampa, 32 degrees, Atlanta, 22, Nashville, 19 degrees. That's the temperature your skin feels as you head outside. So it's brutal this morning, but it's not going to last too long. We're warming up here over the next couple of days. And hey, I threw in DC For Dave as well because we haven't done a forecast for him in a while. And we're going to be doing your hometown forecast. And I'm working on a forecast for veterans here for the next hour.
Terrence Bates
All right. Looking forward to that hometown forecast. And I'm so happy I can say that in Florida it's cold with a very good chance of falling iguanas. Okay, that's going to be interesting right there. Again, your hometown forecast is coming up. Go on over to our various chats. Get a rumble, YouTube, let us know where you're hanging out this morning. And you never know, you may be chosen to get one of those personalized hometown forecasts from Tracy. All right, folks, we'll see Tracy here in the next hour. But up next, Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly gearing up for a trip to India. So what's he up to? And is this trip a threat to US national security? We'll have analysis next here on American Sunrise. First, though, a quick look at this day in history. It was at the 11th hour, on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 that the guns finally fell silent in the Great War. After four years of bloody trench warfare, the First World War ended with an armistice signed by Germany in a rail car outside of copian, France. Nearly 9 million soldiers died, millions more were wounded and the map of Europe was forever changed. Today on Veterans Day, we remember those who fought in the war to end all wars in every conflict that our great nation has endured since. More American Sunrise in two minutes. Hey, my name is Sean First Class Thomas Task Force.

David Brody
Heroes, each and every one of them on this Veterans Day 2025. Welcome back everybody to American Sunrise. Thanks for being here. Join us on YouTube. Getter Rumble. We're everywhere in the chat. All right. President Trump's son in law, Jared Kushner, met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the next steps of the Israel Hamas peace plan. So the next phase of the plan calls for a new governing body for Gaza and a stabilization force. Now, the first phase of the plan, almost done, but still the remains of four Israeli hostages do remain in Gaza at this time. For more, let's bring in retired United States Marines, intelligence analyst, the CEO of Vietcom US and also the author of the Race to Save America. Boy, she's busy. Kate Monroe. Kate, thank you so much for your service and thanks for getting up early with us there on the West Coast. Good to see you.
Kate Monroe
Happy to be here. Good morning.
David Brody
Well, good morning. You know, it's complicated there in Israel. That's an understatement of the year. But what's interesting now is there are about 200 or so Hamas terrorists that are actually in tunnels under Rafah, which of course is in that Gaza zone still controlled by Israel's military. And Hamas is demanding they be allowed to leave.
Terrence Bates
Haha.
David Brody
Lol. Israel is saying fat chance. Absolutely not. So essentially these are terrorists in tunnels, trapped. You have to wonder if this ceasefire is going to hold. What do you think about it?
Kate Monroe
I mean, you just can't make this stuff up. I mean, I'm glad That they're trapped in there for a second. You know, they are going to have to get them out. If you're going to go and rebuild that area and do a transference of power, you have to get them out somehow. Whether we let him out or somebody goes in and gets them out, we got to get them out of there. If we're ever going to hope for anything long standing. I mean, it's sad. We had that original peace deal and five seconds later they're firing at each other again. It's a very sticky and scary situation over there. Like we can't even really wrap our brains around it here in America. It would be like one of our states had just gone totally haywire and there was terrorists full of it. But the other 49 states surrounding it were hoping for peace. I mean, that's how the lunacy that you see over there, it's sad. I do hope that we get to a situation of peace, but it will be interesting to see if we ever actually accomplish it.
David Brody
Great analogy.
Dr. Gina Louden
It is really impossible to perceive how different things are over there. I want you to talk about that just a little bit more.
Kate Monroe
I mean, the difference is over there, I mean, just imagine like an entire state here was just rubble. I mean they're like, they're blowing stuff up over there. Blowing up what? I mean, the buildings are mostly leveled. At some point we just have to say, okay, this needs rebuilding. It's just like it's been a war zone for so long and the people over there have been full of hate and rage at each other for so long. It's like a centuries old issue. You know, over here in America we think like, oh cool, we have peace, we're just gonna march on and make a treaty and then everybody's gonna be cool. It does not work over there. It's the hatred runs so deep that eradicating it is almost impossible. Especially when you have one side ideologically so opposed to the other. This is like a biblical level warfare that we just can't really wrap our brains around. And I pray for them and we need to pray for them, but this sticks.
Terrence Bates
Kate, I do want you to tell us about Vetcom us momentarily. But first I also want to pick your brain about this upcoming meeting between Vladimir Putin, he's going to India to meet with leaders there. What do you make of that from a national security perspective? I have concerns, particularly on the heels of President Trump telling India, don't buy any more Russian oil or else. What should we make of this trip?
Kate Monroe
Well, I mean Sometimes we forget that we don't have the only leader in the world. These leaders, they all want to make a way for themselves. It's always a race for supremacy. No matter what it is. He's going to try to get over there and cut a good deal because if we're saying, hey, don't buy any more oil, he's probably going to try to cut himself a pretty good deal to get India to keep sucking off the teat, if you will. It's, it's hard. You go over there and you think you put things together and just like in any other nation, when we go over and make a treaty, we think, okay, cool, they're going to play by the rules, but, but they don't, you know, they're just out for themselves. It's like, it's kind of what you see inside of a corporation where you see people jockeying for the next position. All of these men that lead all of these nations are just trying to do the exact same thing and hopefully we come out the victor. Hopefully we do have the bigger voice and the big and the bigger buying power. That's what we have to hope at this point.
David Brody
Kate, obviously Veterans Day here, a big day across the country and especially for you. Tell us more about vietcom us and how did you get started in all that? What are some of the main services for veterans? This is such an important effort that you've undertaken here.
Kate Monroe
It is, I hope it's my legacy, really. I just stood on a big platform in front of 500 Marines yesterday and I told them, you can't leave all of your coolness and your Marineness on the backside of the gate. You have to carry the mission forward. You know, we have to evolve. And so for me, being 100% disabled Marine Corps veteran, I got deeply injured physically and emotionally. My heart just literally broken. And I said that's just not a good place for our nation's veterans to be. So we have now, in the last calendar year helped 21,000 veterans receive almost $8 billion in lifetime income. We filled something like 200 suicide calls per month with my 240 employees working 12 hours a seven days a week to help veterans around the globe. But really our job and our mission is to get veterans safely on their destination to the VA to get compensated because it's very bureaucratic, it's very difficult. Imagine having massive perfectionism and hyper vigilance and anxiety and then trying to face the VA in that state. And so I feel like, you know, give that anxiety to us, give all those problems to us and let us deliver you safely to getting compensated, maintaining. Most people at home watching this that are veterans don't know that you could be getting up to $4,000 a month in lifetime income and that will radically change your life. And we would just call on all veterans, make this your last Veterans Day where you're behind the ball financially. Make this the last Veterans Day. You're doing all this stuff alone.
David Brody
Kate Monroe, great to have you with us. Talk about a legacy. We really appreciate what you're doing. Thanks you again.
Kate Monroe
Thank you so much.
Terrence Bates
Thanks, Kate.
Meteorologist Tracy Anthony
Thanks.
David Brody

That's Riverside, California. Beautiful place. Let's take it back, guys. Want to welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us today. Time now for today's health news. It is sponsored, of course, by the Wellness company and under the microscope today, the best ways to protect yourself and keep yourself healthy during the flu season might not be what you see on TV if you're watching the lamestream media. For more, we have the man with the answers, the chief patient officer for the wellness company, Dr. Drew Pinsky. Good morning, Dr. Drew. What a pleasure to have you on. And I said to you a little bit before we came into the show how much I know this audience appreciates you and your hard work and that of the wellness company. And we understand the cost and that makes us appreciate you all the more. We have the flu season upon us, Dr. Drew. It is getting off to quite the start. Health officials in the UK are warning that it could be the worst in decades. And health officials in North Carolina reported four flu related deaths so far. The answer from the medical establishment has been that more people need to get the flu vaccine. We get calls about this every day from random pharmacies. A couple of questions though. First, does the flu vaccine even work?
Dr. Drew Pinsky
Well, this is the million dollar question, right? First of all, good morning. Great to see you. We also were musing about how our days together back on an entirely different network, you know, now networks we're not allowed to crawl into. It's an amazing world we live in now. But yeah, go running with your hair on fire. Flu, everybody. It's flu season again. And it will be again and again every season. The fact that it's even being discussed immediate to me is is just remnants of the paranoid hysteria that they created during COVID And I was thinking to myself, part of that hysteria is still in place and that people don't understand between the difference of how a respiratory virus is communicated or how it's contaged or how a plain old there are many other viruses that are transmitted by different means and influenza itself is again another droplet or contact mediated illness. And the reality is we are biological agents. Biology is just one giant probability equation founded in the first and second law of thermodynamics. And we are going to get sick and we're going to get viral illnesses. It's part of being a biological agent. And there's not a lot you can do about it except be aware of how they're transmitted in terms of buttressing your immune system. Yeah, I mean, adequate sleep, adequate nutrition, this kind of thing. But optimization, I'm not sure that really exists. But the flu picture you're seeing right there, I think that's probably a flu. Who knows? Could even be an allergy. That's how protean these things are and how similar all the different symptomatology is around each of them. Flu is transmitted by droplet, so it's contact. It is not aerosol like Covid or respiratory viruses. Aerosols go 30 to 60ft, sometimes even further. Particularly if you put a mask on your face, it creates a jet. Now you're talking 60 to 90ft. It has to be. There's almost no way to protect yourself against aerosol.
Dr. Gina Louden
Wait, wait, Dr. Drew, are you saying if you put a mask on, you are more virulent than if you don't.
Dr. Drew Pinsky
Put a mask on? If you put an N95 mask that is perfectly fitted and you never take it off and you don't see any jet of steam coming across your glasses, you're doing something. Not much, but something. But if there's so much as the fog on your glasses, you're creating a jet that goes further than the normal aerosol that just comes out of people's mouths. It's like coughing hard. It goes 60ft, not 6ft. 6ft is an insane 6ft. Could be considered for droplets. Right. So droplets are transmitted by saliva. So wearing a surgical mask over your mouth. Okay, if you know you have the flu. How about you just don't go out if you have the flu because everything you touch becomes contagious. But yes, it is contact, it's hands. It's handling things that other people have handled. And it is droplet. People are so nutty about these masks. The reason surgeons wear masks has nothing to do with viruses whatsoever. It's not like they're concerned that a virus is going to break out in the surge surgical suite. It's there to prevent bacteria from the mouth from dropping into the surgical field and causing a serious bacterial infection. Yeah, so there's a lot. And also the other thing, by the way, you know, there's a talk and fear mongering again around bird flu. We heard that, remember? It's six months ago.
Congressman Mark Alford
Bird flu.
Dr. Drew Pinsky
Bird flu, here it comes. The only reason to be concerned about it really is that somebody may be doing gain of function work on it. And if that's true, bird flu could be very, very serious in either case, whether it's bird flu or plain old A and B influenza. Have some antiviral medication on hand. This is the point of the Wellness Company. It's about readiness, rational readiness. Have these things on hand. We saw what the government can do in terms of shutting us down and preventing us getting access to basic healthcare needs. Or people are running out to urgent cares and spending $1,400, $1,800 for nothing for something that could easily be done with telehealth. And you could be already with one of these emergency kits ready on your own.
Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah, you know, it's amazing that there was no flu whatsoever diagnosed. Not one case the entire first year of COVID Wasn't that amazing? All right, obviously that's a joke. Obviously for conservatives, there was a lot.
Dr. Drew Pinsky
Of amazing things during COVID A lot of amazing things.
Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah, like that you could just go to a restaurant and you could wear contagious as you were walking to the table, but once you sat down with your food, then you were no longer. Lots of amazing things. Yeah, obviously for conservatives and for libertarians, the elections in New Jersey, New York and Virginia were nothing short of a disaster. We know that during the pandemic, the plandemic as I like to call it, Democrat governors restricted access to safe and affordable off use drugs like ivermectin. A big one. Are you concerned that a new wave of ultra liberal governors could once again limit Africa access to these important medications that we're finding do all kinds of things.
Dr. Drew Pinsky
Yes, of course, the fact that physicians forget your own access, just our ability to practice medicine. I'm not a big enthusiast for some of these medications, but I absolutely will go to the mat that a physician should be at his or her liberty to do what he or she thinks the best interest of the patient in front of them. We have a public health system that is out of control. Its behavior during COVID was nothing short of astonishing. And we have seen what they are capable of just in the proximate past. So of course they could do it again. Which is, I was thinking this morning I worked with Dr. Kelly Victory on our medical board at the Wellness Company and a couple, maybe a year or so ago, she said to me, you know, if we were advocating for these kinds of readiness packages five years ago, I would have thought you were out of your mind. Now I think you're out of your mind if you don't do these things. Because we've seen how they can run amok with our freedoms.
Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah, yeah. It's essentially the Wellness Company is doing for Americans what the Indian government did for the Indian population during COVID And that's exactly where they each got a little packet preparedness. And even with the poor sanitation and the crowded conditions in India, they enlisted.
Dr. Drew Pinsky
This whole idea that a centralized authority needs to tell you how to behave. Just consider this. Let's just take the issue of vaccine mandates. You brought up the flu vaccine. Whether it works, it's a debatable point. I think for the very elderly, it starts. Vaccines really make sense. When there is massive risk and limited downside. When there is no risk and some downside, that's when vaccines stop making sense. But I just want you to consider this from a medical freedom standpoint. 88 countries, including some of our favorite, like Scandinavian countries and central European countries, and only. And only two. I'm sorry, 88 countries and three of the five communist countries have no such thing as vaccine mandates. They trust the physicians and the patients to make good choices on their own. 88 countries, 3 of 5 communist countries, including China, do not have mandates for healthcare like vaccine. That should tell you something, how far we've gone awry from the basic principle that a doctor is doing a risk reward analysis, doing no harm, do no harm, is completely lost during COVID And to make the decision for that individual in front of him or her, given their social, religious, spiritual, physical, family, ethical, ethnic, whatever it might be, all is taken into consideration for that patient. And your patient doctor is the most efficient unit. And when you intrude on that, you're inviting disaster.
Dr. Gina Louden
And that's why the Wellness Company is so important. And I think, Dr. Drew, that like no other country in the world, except for, I believe New Zealand allows big Pharma to advertise on tv. We need to get to that place, too. The Wellness Company should get to advertise because you guys are just offering freedom and options, and that's what it's all about. Dr. Drew Pinsky, we appreciate you. We appreciate your time.
Dr. Drew Pinsky
Thank you.
Dr. Gina Louden
Absolutely. A new administration in Washington, D.C. has brought a lot of positive changes when it comes to fixing our broken health care system. The reality, though, there's only so much the government can do if we really want to make America healthy again. It's going to start at home with each of us. And that's where the Wellness company comes in. Happy Veterans Day.
Emily Finn
Welcome back to this Veterans Day edition of American Sunrise. Now that we're caffeinated, it is time to stay awake, not woke. And today we're focusing on Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. Schumer's facing an internal revolt after eight Democrats sided with Republicans, exposing major fractions on the left. California Representative Ro Khanna even demanding Schumer be removed as the Democratic Senate leader. Let's bring in Terrence, Dr. Gina and David. David, what are the odds that Schumer is actually going to be removed?
David Brody
No, he'll stay. There's no doubt about that. They're not going to have any appetite right now. I'm talking about establishment Democrats. That's what we're talking about. We're not talking about the base of the party. Base of the party wants him gone, but the base of the party doesn't run the Senate. But you're not gonna have Bernie Sanders and some of these other senators have some sort of coup against Chuck Schumer right now. That's the last thing the Democrats want. Coming up on the 2026 midterm election. So don't buy it if you hear it. It ain't true. Trust me. I've been in Washington since 1843. So that's one thing, but secondly, I would just simply say as it relates to Schumer, look, there's so many problems between him and the base, but the truth of the matter is what he did and why the base is so upset at him. Because remember, he voted no. So you would think the base would be happy with him that he voted no. No. Cuz what he really did was the old wink and nod at those eight Democrat senators and said, you know what, I'm gonna vote no, but you guys, you go knock yourselves out. As he looked at him kind of side eye and said, you do your thing. And the progressive base is very angry with him because of that. Because he could have stopped it if he wanted to and he didn't stop it. And that's where it's at. Anything, David, if I can just add. Bueller. Yes, please.
Terrence Bates
To add to your point, I think you're spot on. It's not going to necessarily impact his leadership role, if that's what you want to call it in the Senate. However, I do suggest that it's probably going to inspire a challenge, a primary challenge or a challenge leading up to the midterms. That's very likely going to happen. In fact, there's already been talk about that AOC is the name that's been floated. She very well may not be the only person now to jump into the fray to try to challenge him. And I think that is going to be the outcome for Chuck Schumer on this, is that he's going to have to put more effort and money into trying to keep his seat, which I think there's probably a good chance that he will because he is such a fixture. There are people who are going to be voting for him just because that's what they've always done. And almost as if it's a reflex. Not necessarily because of what, But I suspect, Dr. Gina, that that is what is going to be the result of what we've seen happen here, is that he's going to face some pretty significant challenges in terms of the upcoming midterms.
Dr. Gina Louden
Well, Dems are the kings of fixtures, that's for sure. Just look at Nancy Pelosi that's been there since, you know, 1804, making multiple tens of hundreds of millions of dollars off of her office. So yeah, you're absolutely right, David. He's not going anywhere. But the very fact, you guys, that the Dems are even discussing someone like crazy, wacky AOC playing any sort of leadership role tells you they have learned absolutely nothing in the last Year of watching them trip over their own two feet. The more radical the Democrat Party becomes, the more they talk about people like AOC and elect people like they just did in New York, the more the Democrats have a nonexistent party. All right, David. All right, you go.
David Brody
Let me just say AOC is off her rocker. Okay? I'm on the record on that. But, but, but take it from. Not me, but from President Trump, who once said in the White House, in the first term, I was there in the room when he looked at me and about 10 other people and said that AOC has the, quote, it factor. So you can disagree with it all you want. I think she's off a rocker. But Trump is onto something. She does have the it factor. Now she got the crazy it factor, but she's got an it factor. And I'm telling you, I'm telling you, she can win. I'm telling you right now, do not sleep on her. So to speak. Did I just say that? I mean, that's, like, from 1995. I'm sorry, but you know the point.
Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah, I'm telling you. But, David, she can win. I'm not denying any of that. But I'm saying it will only put Democrats in worse peril than they already are. Their party will be even more divided and unable to win in any real elections that aren't blue states, unlike the ones we just went through.
Emily Finn
Yeah, I don't know. I think it would be a gigantic win for Republicans if the Democrats really did throw all of their support behind AOC. It would be like Kamala Harris 2.0 just would not work out well for them at all. All right, great discussion as always, you guys. Coming up, as we honor Veterans Day, a moment of faith from the front lines. Stay with us.
Meteorologist Tracy Anthony
Hey, this is Master Sergeant Jessica Zolman with the 130th Field Artillery Brigade here at Camp Eric John, Kuwait.
Dr. Gina Louden
I want to wish all my brothers and sisters in arms a happy Veterans Day. And most importantly, go, Chiefs.
Terrence Bates
God bless the usa.
Congressman Mark Alford
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
Terrence Bates
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It is now time for our moment of faith, which is brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God bless the USA Bible. In focus on this Veterans Day is the old adage, there are no atheists in a foxhole. Here on American Sunrise, we've been honoring the brave men and women who wore the uniform and fought for our great country. In fact, we want to salute those who have served and the flag that they defend. In fact, we Have a flag retirement ceremony that we want to show you here real quick just to pay homage and tribute to our service members. The red stripes remind us of the.
Meteorologist Tracy Anthony
Lifeblood of brave men and women who.
Congressman Mark Alford
Are ready to die for their country. The white stripes remind us of purity and cleanliness, of purpose, thought, words and deed.
Dr. Gina Louden
The blue is for truth and justice.
David Brody
Like the eternal blue of the star filled package.
Terrence Bates
The stars represent the 50 sovereign states of our nation. Let us pray.
Congressman Mark Alford
Lord, we thank you for our country, for its flag and the liberty for which it stands. We humbly ask you to watch over.
Terrence Bates
Our service members now serving under our flag.
David Brody
We commit these flags, worn out in.
Congressman Mark Alford
A worthy service to a clean and purging flame as they yield their substance to the fire. May your holy light spread over us, bring warmth to our prisoners of war.
Terrence Bates
Provide a beacon for our missing in action to return home and to bring renewed devotion to God and to country.
Congressman Mark Alford
Amen.
Terrence Bates
Let's bring in David Brody to have a bit more of a conversation about this Veterans Day and how faith is also intertwined. David, the first thing that comes to my mind is one flag under God. Faith is intertwined into our patriotism.
David Brody
That's right. And it goes right back to the founding of our country. I'm reminded of Peter Muhlenberg, who was part of the Black Robe Regiment. Everybody's like, wait, who's Peter Muhlenberg? He was a pastor. He was a pastor in the mid to late 1700s in America. Of course, it wasn't called America. Well, I say it wasn't called America at that time. They had not received their. Fought for their independence yet, but they were about to fight for their independence. And he was ready to go. And I was about to say, I'll never forget. Wait a minute. Hold on. I wasn't there. But the way the story goes, Pastor Muhlenberg was there preaching to his congregation, and he said, look, look, it is time. There is such a time to fight, and this is the time to fight. And so we literally dressed as a pastor, you know, had the clergy garb and everything. He took it all off, had his war fatigues underneath it and said, let's go, boys. Let's go. And the parishioners there in that church went ahead and fought in that Revolutionary war that of course, won us our independence. It's that type of stuff, T. Bates, that was going on all throughout our country at the beginning of our nation's founding. And that's what made America so special and so great.
Terrence Bates
David, you're full of stories and history. We appreciate it. Thanks for that perspective. I'm going to go back and read more on that story so I can. I'll know a little bit more.
David Brody
Interesting. I made it all up. No, I didn't. No, I didn't. I didn't. It's there.
Terrence Bates
All right, folks, we're going to be back with the second hour of this Veterans Day edition of American Sunrise in two minutes. Stick around. All right, strap in. The second hour of American Sunrise is about to get going. We're going to be talking about the US Senate voting to fully reopen the gun government. This, of course, follows a group of Democrats breaking to vote with Republicans without securing the Obamacare subsidies that their party has been pushing for. Now the bill heads to the House. The big question, what happens next? We'll have the very latest in just a moment. Plus, Senator Ron Johnson has been and has a chilling warning for Republicans saying that Senate Democrats will eliminate the filibuster if they take control of the government in 2026. We'll examine that threat and what the aftermath might look like. And then later, on the other side of the pond, key higher ups at the BBC resigned after it was revealed that the network doctored key parts of President Trump's speech ahead of the J6 demonstrations just before leaving office in 2021. That includes removing his call for peace from protests. Those stories and so much more right now on this second hour of American Sunrise.
David Brody
Good morning America.
Dr. Gina Louden
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina Louden
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina Louden
And I'm Dr. Gina.
David Brody
Welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G. In very cold and frigid West Palm Beach, T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. I know. Gina, put on a sweater there. It is good covered up. Okay.
Dr. Gina Louden
Gina, it really is. It's so cold.
Terrence Bates
Hey, Gina. Gina, what's that? That just fell behind you? Something just. Was that an iguana?
Congressman Mark Alford
No.
Dr. Gina Louden
You do. I told my husband I wanted to set heaters out last night for the iguanas. My husband shoots the iguanas, so he didn't really want to do that. But they are on invasive.
David Brody
I'm sorry. Come again.
Dr. Gina Louden
So it's totally legal in the state of Florida in fact, they encourage you as pest control because they're invasive. But I love them and my husband hates them because they eat all of our flowers.
David Brody
Well, that's nice. Hey, by the way, here's a transition. Speaking of pest control, let's talk about Congress. And so thank you so much. Appreciate that. Well, thank you. I do two shows night. Actually, I do one. I do one show daily. All right, so wait a minute now, the shutdown. Gene, I want to ask you a psychological question here. From a psychiatric perspective, are you done pretty much talking about the shutdown literally? Like, is it driving you absolutely bonkers?
Dr. Gina Louden
No, I'll tell you no, because, I mean, it's driving me bonkers because we're not having the conversations we should be having about cutting government, about doge, about reducing our debt. And I can't stand the Republican sudden talking points about redistribution of wealth. We're giving money to low and middle income people that should be going toward either debt relief or give it out equally. We don't do redistribution of wealth in this country. That is not a Republican ideal. Right. And suggest that wealthy people give the money to charity. But when we are engaging in Democrat talking points, it makes me insane when we are talking about expanding the size of government, when we are not devastatingly upset about the amount of people on food stamps, most of them illegal, by the way, when that's not our talking points. I'm going a little crazy on that one, David. So, no, I'm not done talking about it. I could really go all day.
Terrence Bates
And I'll say, right. Should I yield my time to the gentlewoman from Missouri? Should I yield more of my time?
Dr. Gina Louden
Probably not. My brain.
Terrence Bates
I'm with you though, doctor.
Dr. Gina Louden
Gina, I'm sorry, my brain's a little frozen. It's 44 degrees here.
Terrence Bates
I get it, I get it. My brain is typically frozen until about July or August here in the mountains. But I'm with you on government efficiency and hopefully that will be part of the conversation. But why isn't it in the meantime, how speak.
Dr. Gina Louden
I have not heard any Republicans talking about any of this. I mean, I won't say any. You do have a few here and there, mostly congresspeople, you know, the great patriots, the true Tea Party MAGA types. But why is this not this pinnacle of our conversation right now?
David Brody
Why can't we forego headlines and let Gina continue to speak?
Meteorologist Tracy Anthony
Right.
David Brody
Let's just, you know what?
Dr. Gina Louden
Just go goatee.
Dr. Drew Pinsky
Right?
Terrence Bates
Let's walk off. In fact, can we just get a one shot of Gina, please? Everybody all right, so let's do get into really quick headlines here. House Speaker Mike Johnson calling lawmakers in his chamber back to Washington, saying that he'd like to pass a measure to reopen the government as soon as tomorrow. All of this after eight Senate Democrats crossed the aisle to vote with Republicans to pass a compromise that would end what is now the longest government shutdown down in U.S. history.
Congressman Mark Alford
At least some Democrats now finally appear ready to do what Republicans and President Trump and millions of hardworking American people have been asking them to do for weeks. But as we said from the beginning.
David Brody
The people's government cannot be held hostage to further anyone's political agenda. That was never right.
Congressman Mark Alford
And shutting down the government never produces anything. It never has if you study history.
Terrence Bates
The Senate's 60 to 40 vote on Monday sets up a Senate December vote on expiring Affordable Care act subsidies, which is what Democrats have been holding out for. Government agencies would now be funded through January 30th. Plus, the SNAP food program, which of course has been disputed during this current shutdown, would be fully funded until September of next year under this current agreement. The Supreme Court denies an appeal of a case seeking to overturn the High Court's 2015 ruling legalizing same sex marriage. The appeal was brought by former Kentucky court Clerk Kim Davis, who refused to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples after the Obergerfeld Hodges case, which allowed same sex marriages. Davis was trying to overturn a lower court ruling ordering her to pay $360,000 in damages and attorney's fees to a couple that she denied a marriage license. Three of the four dissenting justices in that 2015 case remain on the court today. In the past, this man, Justice Clarence Thomas, is the only one who has called for the ruling to be erased. Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito are the other dissenting justices still on the high court today. Well, folks, you may want to go out and grab a double stack or $5 biggie bag at your neighborhood Wendy's sooner than later. Yeah, this is the fat guy section of the show. Turns out the fast food burger chain is closing hundreds of stores over the next few months in an effort to boost profits and make its remaining stores more appealing. While Wendy's isn't saying specifically how many stores are going to close and where those stores will be, we do know that the chain expects to shutter a, quote, mid single digit percentage of stores. Right now there are just over 6,000 restaurants in the United States that would be Wendy's restaurants closing just 5% of those locations would equal around 300 stores. You may remember just last year, 240 Wendy's locations were shut down. The company said back then that many of those stores were simply out. That's a quick check of your headlines. I'll, of course, have more headlines coming your way in just a little bit. But now let's get a quick check of your forecast with meteorologist Tracy Anthony from Weather Nation. Also, don't forget that you can scan the QR code that we're going to put here at the bottom of your screen. There you have it. And join our friends over at Weather Nation. All right, Tracey, this is one of my favorite parts of the show. Your hometown forecast. What do you have for us?
Meteorologist Tracy Anthony
We've got a few good ones in store in areas around Lake Michigan have been dealing with lake effects, snow. So Sarah from Kalamazoo, Michigan, wanted a Hometown forecast and 37 degrees today and the snowflakes will start to wrap up. So you're going to have better weather conditions and you're going to warm through the rest of the work week. Some more rain, though, over the weekend. But I think you'd rather have 58 and a little rain than down in the 20s and 30s. Now, Branson, Missouri, this was sent in from Veronica, 63 degrees today. You're going to also have a very nice week. So really from coast to coast, weather conditions are going to be pretty quiet as we do have high pressure that's in control. Even Staten Island, New York, all of us going to feel those temperatures warming with plenty of sunshine. So this was sent in, sent in from GMAN on Getter now wanted to put together a Veterans Day forecast as well. So Fort Knox, 44 degree. This is where that cool air is still in place. And a lot of us going to be down in the 30s and 40s for the day. One last thing, Terrence, have you ever seen a tornado after a volcano eruption? Incredible video here of this, what they call a volnado.
Terrence Bates
A volnado. Okay. You never know what you're going to get here on our forecast. Tracy, thanks so much. Appreciate it. A volnado. Never even heard of such. All right, folks, again, go ahead and click that that or scan that QR code that was there at the bottom of your screen. Join our friends over at Weather Nation. All right. You can even get your hometown forecast. Let's get you over to David now. David, good morning.
David Brody
Good morning. I've never heard of a Vol. Nate. I've heard of sharknado, but I've never heard of a Vol NATO. I, I, okay.
Terrence Bates
I thought that the Volvo for a minute, but you know, that's a whole nother thing.
David Brody
No, that's a whole nother situation. No, for sure.
Jake Novak
All right.
David Brody
House Speaker Mike Johnson is taking a victory lap as the Senate spending bill heads over to the lower chamber for a vote. Here is what he said to some as they were kind of harassing him in the hallways. Take a look.
Dr. Drew Pinsky
Yes, it's a great development.
Congressman Mark Alford
It's long overdue. It vindicates our position in this all along. We'll have a lot more to say at a press conference this morning.
Jake Novak
How soon do you think you might.
Kate Monroe
Have the House back in?
Congressman Mark Alford
Immediately. We're going to get everybody back on.
David Brody
A 36 hour notice.
Congressman Mark Alford
So it'll be happening early. This.
David Brody
All right. Joining us now with the reaction is former Navy intelligence officer, a former Assistant Secretary of state, and a Republican candidate for governor of Maine. And our good friend, and that's Bobby Charles. He joins us now. Bobby, good to have you with us. Look, the House is going to vote on ending the shutdown tomorrow. Then it's going to go to the president's desk. We assume that it'll go to the president's desk. I'm curious to see your reaction here to how the shutdown essentially ended. I mean, it was nice to finally see Republicans stick together and not cave. My goodness, miracles do happen.
Dr. Gina Louden
Is that the first time ever, Bobby?
David Brody
Yeah. Really?
Congressman Mark Alford
No, not the first time ever. But I will tell you it, you know, as I reflect on this, this vote should have happened 40 days ago, 50 days ago.
Jake Novak
This is, there was no excuse for this. And you know, and I guess I'll, I'll say this grandstanding, which is what.
Congressman Mark Alford
Schumer did and what those Democrats that held with him did, never serves the people. What he did is he created a, he threw a fit, okay?
Jake Novak
And he decided he's not getting enough attention and so he shut down the government.
Congressman Mark Alford
And what did that do?
Jake Novak
It put incredible inconvenience on everybody from.
Congressman Mark Alford
Air traffic controllers to those that get SNAP benefits. It was totally unnecessary.
Jake Novak
And to my view, this is disgraceful leadership.
Congressman Mark Alford
You know, we use the word leadership loosely. Leadership is a real thing. And on Veterans Day of all days, we should be remembering that.
Jake Novak
This is disgraceful leadership. This is leaderless leadership. This is the idea that you will hold the American people hostage because you either want to preserve yourself, make yourself.
Congressman Mark Alford
Look like you're more progressive than you are because you're going to get beat.
Jake Novak
In your next race, or just a.
Congressman Mark Alford
Way to divide the nation. To me it was an unnecessary act.
Jake Novak
Of histrionics and it didn't need to happen. And we should have been on a.
Congressman Mark Alford
Clean cr 50 days ago and that's.
Jake Novak
What we usually did. I worked for Gingrich for five years.
Congressman Mark Alford
And house oversight and we did clean.
Jake Novak
CRS all the time and this was just unnecessary.
Dr. Gina Louden
Bobbi I read two surprising facts about Maine. It's the only state in the Union that is solo syllabic, meaning only one syllable. Never thought about it, but it is. It's the only state that borders only one state. I bet you knew all of that. But in a state where 79% of households can't afford a median priced home and where companies report fewer new business starts and rising cost of living, you're running. How will you address Maine's deep housing and workforce participation crisis in a way that resonates nationally for states facing that same squeeze? Because we know a lot of states are.
Congressman Mark Alford
What a great question.
Jake Novak
And the truth is we are going to model how you have a dysfunctional state, a dysfunctional blue state and you.
Congressman Mark Alford
Turn it hard red and you improve.
Jake Novak
And dramatically improve the economy, public safety and education.
Congressman Mark Alford
Those are the three big issues.
Jake Novak
Right now we are looking at a state where, as you said just a.
Congressman Mark Alford
Moment ago, the median income for those.
Jake Novak
Under 35 is $200 below per month, below median rental.
Congressman Mark Alford
Nobody can afford a house. And so what you've got to do, it's a linked problem. What we will do is eliminate the income tax.
Jake Novak
I've got CPAs on it right now. It's very doable.
Congressman Mark Alford
We will eliminate the income tax, become state number 11.
Jake Novak
That brings businesses back into the state, leaves money in the private sector which.
Congressman Mark Alford
Then, you know, the multiplier effect leaves, gives you greater growth.
Jake Novak
We will dramatically reduce property taxes by rolling back all the mills mandates. We will literally put trades back in the schools again so that our trades are able to function out there.
Congressman Mark Alford
We currently have a deficit of people.
Jake Novak
Who'Ve been trained in the trades. And then finally we will get the drug traffickers out of here which creates the public safety environment where people are willing to invest.
Congressman Mark Alford
So it is a very fixable state. Listen, in an age of total mediocrity.
Jake Novak
It takes nothing to be great.
Congressman Mark Alford
The problem is the Democrats have totally.
Jake Novak
Fumbled this football for seven years. They have driven costs sky high. Our budget has gone from 6.1 billion to 11.7 for a bunch of crazy, crazy programs, illegal aliens and subsidies for everything under the sun. We just reverse that and we will be back in Good shape again.
David Brody
Bobby, great to have you. Gotta run. You're the best. Appreciate you as always.
Jake Novak
Thank you, guys.
Congressman Mark Alford
Always.
David Brody
All right, back in a moment, everybody.
Emily Finn
Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm American Sunrise contributor Emily Finn. It's great to have you with us this morning. Time now to drain the swamp. And this morning we are fleshing out BBC News. Both the director general, Tim Davy, and the head of news, Deborah Turnus, have stepped down after a storm of criticism over how the network handled a documentary about, of course, President Trump. For analysis, let's welcome media and PR strategist and the host of Media Exposed here on rav, Adam Weiss. Adam, it's always so great to see you. I mean, they literally were selectively editing this. How many times in the media are we going to see this and have to expose it out?
Congressman Mark Alford
Adam, Emily, thanks for having me. But the worst part about it, if you went back to January 6, when every single media outlet was attacking Trump.
Ellie Tahari
Conservatives, lying about everything, lying that this.
Congressman Mark Alford
Was an insurrection that was the worst thing in American history. This BBC documentary came out a week.
Ellie Tahari
Or so before the next election, 2024 election. So they purposely did this to harm President Trump, to hurt him in his.
Congressman Mark Alford
Reelection, I guess is not, not his second, third reelection, third election try. But like, and that's even worse because.
Ellie Tahari
You still had hundreds of people still in jail.
Congressman Mark Alford
January six is you had all sorts of people under, you know, criminal indictments that Trump just pardoned from Sidney Powell, John Eastman sentence to Rudy. So what they purposely did, they should be ashamed of themselves.
Ellie Tahari
And for the CEO to extend, oh, this samaj, who came out with a.
Congressman Mark Alford
Statement and said this is a lapse of. Well, he said it's an error in judgment. An error in judgment is if a football coach makes a bad call. Error in judgment. This is catastrophe, neglect, unethical 101.
Emily Finn
Yeah, all of those words. It's lies. It is untruthfulness, Adam, and they should absolutely be ashamed. And the last thing I'll say is this is the BBC. Stay out of American politics. Let us live our life over here. Adam Weiss, thank you so much for joining us us today.
Congressman Mark Alford
Thank you.
Emily Finn
Coming up, we're headed down to Wall street for the opening bell and some truth instead of the usual hype over Warren Buffett. But first, a shout out from Major Daniel Copeland all the way from Kuwait.
Congressman Mark Alford
My name is Major Daniel Copeland.
David Brody
Task Force Thunder at Camp Arif John, Kuwait. I want to wish a happy Veterans Day to all my friends and family back home, especially fellow veterans serving in the Kansas Army National Guard.
Kate Monroe
Hi, I'm Lieutenant Pandemisier with the New.
Meteorologist Tracy Anthony

Kate Monroe
I'd like to give a Veterans Day shout out and go patrons.
Terrence Bates
The US House set to return to the US Capitol in the next 20, 24 hours or so in advance of a vote that would reopen the government. We, of course, will continue to have coverage on that throughout the day. In the meantime, let's take a quick check of the pre market trading. As you can see here, only one bright spot, the Dow is up. The other two indices, the S P500, the NASDAQ not looking so hot at this very moment. Hopefully all of that will change when the markets open. We'll take you there here in short order. First though, let's take you over to David Brody. David, good morning.
David Brody
Good morning. T. Bates. All right. Time now for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. We do it every day with American Sunrise EARLY EDITION host, the guy behind Jake's Takes substack, that would be Jake Novak. All right, Jake, let's start with some potential heat on JP Morgan Chase bank and allegations that it may have broken the law. I guess this has to do with the Biden administration's Arctic Frost investigation. Tell us more. Sir, good morning.
Jake Novak
Yeah, good morning. The Florida Attorney General James Uthmeyer announced yesterday that they're looking into whether Chase bank, at the behest, quiet behest of the Biden DOJ and Merrick Garland froze out some of the Trump owned businesses from getting any business done or loans or any kind of transactions done with Chase Bank. Now you can't do that unless there's proof that someone is an actual criminal and has been convicted of such. And that wasn't the case. And you know exactly what the pitch probably was from the DOJ to Chase saying like, well, well, those Trump people want to start that. You know, they've got that true social and things like that. And they're going to be spreading lies. And I don't want to know what will happen to you. Chase bank would be a shame if something happened to your nice little bank here if we had to prosecute you for amplifying lies and dangerous information. That's exactly the pitch that they did to these folks. And if that's the case and Chase bank complied with it instead of reported it, reporting it or go or pushing back on it, it, they may have committed a crime. So let's see how this shakes out. If I'm a Chase shareholder right now, I'm not loving this. I maybe, maybe going to that attorney general and saying, you know, let's make a deal. We'll give you the info you want.
David Brody
By the way, I'm not expecting you to know this, though. You know, all things. I mean, you just do. But what is the, do we know what the relationship with JP Morgan Chase bank is with the Trump administration? I mean, are they working together at all on stuff or do they have relations? I don't know. I mean, I was just curious about that.
Jake Novak
You know, Jamie Dimon went from one of the louder critics of President Trump to, I wouldn't say a total supporter, but someone who speaks the truth to the people who have Trump derangement syndrome in the financial world and in the news media. And he started doing that before Trump was reelected. I got to note that we should all know that. Now, whether he did that because Jamie Dimon is just a smart guy and usually is a straight shooter or because he knew this was coming down the pike, but I wouldn't be. It's a good question, David. I wouldn't be surprised that Jamie Dimon is working with the Trump administration over this, specifically, maybe even the Florida attorney general and might be helping out here not just to save his own skin skin, but just to kind of get back at the pressure that they received from the Biden team.
David Brody
All right, well, let's go from one really rich guy to another really, really rich guy. Lots of people just keep parodying the line that Warren Buffett is this great philanthropist and it's a line that apparently grinds your gears. And yes, I said the words grind your gears today on the show, which I'm kind of happy about. Jake, tell us more.
Jake Novak
That's right. We're all about modular technology and gears on this program, tubes and gears. But, you know, listen again, let me just say this. At first, I don't think that Warren Buffett is an evil man. I really don't know him personally anyway. But the PR coup this guy has pulled throughout his career, especially the last 30 years, is really a sight to behold. All billionaires should look at that and figure out what he did and try to copy it because they don't always get such good pr. But one of the biggest lies about Warren Buffett, and it is a lie, is that he's so charitable. He's so philanthropic. Now, it's nice that he signed over a bunch of documents saying that his wealth is going to go over to some foundation. For all we know. That foundation's done nothing, by the way. But he is nowhere near a hands on giver to charity by any means, even by the John D. Rockefeller standard or the Andrew Carnegie standard. And charity is something that you need to personally be involved in. Not signing over some to some foundation that maybe one day will get the money, that maybe one day will actually do something with it. You know, in religious law, charity is one of those things that you're supposed to just do. Don't just say a blessing before it. Don't waste your time.
Kate Monroe
He's waiting.
Jake Novak
He's basically gonna be dead before maybe anything happens. I'm sorry, that's not charity. This is someone who could have opened a hospital a day in his lifetime. Did he do it? Not to it? Okay, we don't have to judge him negatively because he didn't do that. But I'm not gonna give him the Nobel Prize, which is what the media him for being this Mr. Charity. He really hasn't done any hands on charity stuff. Stop talking about him in that way. That's all I ask.
David Brody
That is a great perspective. All right, Jake, we've got about a minute left here. So not everyone apparently is happy the shutdown is over. Especially true for rental car companies. What is the reason for that? Now this is. This intrigues me, Jake.
Jake Novak
Yeah. Rental car companies are doing great during the shutdown because when your flights are canceled or delayed, a lot of people just jump to the rental car deck desk and drive the 500 miles or wherever they were going anyway. And it's a one way rental where the rental companies really make money off here, you know. You know we don't. We don't return it to the point of origin. They ding you on that. Hertz made a lot of money over the last few weeks over that. Yesterday when the shutdown was obvious it was going to end. HERT shares went down when the rest of the market was going up. You know, Hertz made its money. I'm not feeling sorry for them, but they're down. They were down yesterday because no more shutdown windfall for them.
David Brody
By the way, the jets. The New York jets. Their stock is up two in a row. That's all I want to say. That's all.
Jake Novak
I guess it's been. It's been 23 days since our last loss.
David Brody
Well then again there is the 24th day. So it's coming with. Let's see if we're talking about that in the next 32 days. If the Jets. All right. Anyhow, Jake, thanks for being here. Appreciate it.
Jake Novak
It my pleasure.
David Brody
Time for a Bears fan. Terrence in Denver for the opening bell. Hey, you Bears are doing well. The Bears, sponsored by amac, the association.
Congressman Mark Alford
Of Mature American Citizens, is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today. Together we can write the course of America.
Terrence Bates
The only numbers that really matter, 6 and 3. Our record is just like the Detroit Lions. That's a little personal inside jab there. The applause is underway right now at the New York Stock Exchange, which means the bell is going to ring here in short order. And we'll get an idea of what the markets are looking like on this Tuesday of trading. Alto is at the podium. And just on cue, the bell is ringing, which means there are people scrambling on the trading floors trying to get those first sales in. And just like that, it looks like things are turning around a little bit. The Dow is up right now. The S and P. S And P. Excuse me, 500. The only blemish on our board, the NASDAQ. Well, the NASDAQ is now also a blemish. It's also in the red. The rest of the board looking pretty good, though, at the moment. We'll, of course, continue to monitor it throughout the day for you. In the meantime, there is more to come here on American Sunrises. Our special Veterans Day coverage continues. First, though, here's a message from David Brody on what you need to know about crypto.
David Brody
You know, Trump Media just signed a massive $6.4 billion deal with Yorkville Acquisition Corp. And Crypto.com, which is the crypto platform trusted by millions of users worldwide. They're teaming up to acquire up to $6.4 billion in CRO to establish America's first publicly traded traded CRO treasury, the Trump Media Group CRO strategy. Once complete, this new company is going to be the largest publicly traded CRO holder out there. Well, if you're ready to join the crypto revolution, here's what you do. You head to crypto.com today and be part of this historic move once again, crypto.com do not wait. For more information on this proposed business combination. Also check out your Acquisition Corps public filings.
Dr. Gina Louden
Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. G. Thanks for joining us this morning. We invite you to hop on in our conversation on YouTube. Getter and Rumble Time now to take the political pulse of America. The beat today, honoring courage, valor and sacrifice. Today, if we haven't said it enough already, is Veterans Day. We can't say it too much. It's a time to honor the men and women who have worn our nation's uniform and defended freedom at home and around the world. From small towns to big cities, Americans are pausing just to say thank you to our soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines and guardians who have stood watch and sacrificed and served with pride. This morning, we celebrate our heroes, past and present, those who are still deployed in harm's way, and those who have come home to continue serving their communities every single day. Joining us now to help celebrate our nation's heroes is Marine Corps combat veteran and author of the book Gunfighters Rule. Colonel William Berner Dunn. Good morning.
Congressman Mark Alford
Hey, good morning. Thanks for having me today.
Dr. Gina Louden
Thanks for being here, Colonel. For many Americans, Veterans Day is a time of reflection. What's your reflection today?
Congressman Mark Alford
Well, it's a great time to look back and honor the sacrifice of men and women for this nation for 250 years. And, you know, yesterday we did a little event celebrating the Marine Corps 250th birthday on November 10th. And it was wonderful to get together with some of the men and women that I've served with as well as, you know, some that I've just known and haven't served with. But across, across all branches, we will all come together when the nation needs us most and defend or or fight for this country.
Dr. Gina Louden
As a combat veteran, what are some things about life after service that more Americans should be aware of?
Congressman Mark Alford
I think the biggest thing to think about is there are a lot of veterans that deal with, you know, challenges after their service. You know, a lot of veteran suicides take place for various reasons. We've recently seen some of that with some folks that we've known for a long time. And what the the military's intent is to turn the individuals back to this nation really better than they were when they came in. And in 99% of the cases, that that's what happens. But if you're out there and you see a veteran, sometimes it's just nice to say hello. And, you know, I don't think it's I don't know a single veteran that what I would say requires, you know, being thanked, if you will. We do this because it's a calling, but we just appreciate when our fellow fellow American citizens enjoy some of the protections we provide.
Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah. What message, though, despite all the peril, do you have for young Americans, they're now enlisting at record numbers. So what do you say to those considering making the leap into the armed forces?
Congressman Mark Alford
Well, I think it's an outstanding thing for a young man or woman to come in and serve our country. Whether you do it on the enlisted side or the officer side. One thing that I would tell you, every person that comes in is you are going to develop a level of brothers and brotherhood and sisterhood that will last year, last you your whole life. I, I hung out with people yesterday from various services that I have served with for over 30, well, 40 years now in some instances. And so when you come in, that brotherhood and sisterhood will last you your entire lifetime. And I cannot overemphasize the greatness when you get out in the civilian world and you come into a room and you find another veteran and that you will be very similar ways. And just, it's a great, it's a great camaraderie for everyone.
Dr. Gina Louden
What really, what really inspires you, Colonel? What quotes come to mind? What famous statements that former leaders have made about our military? What inspires you today?
Congressman Mark Alford
Well, I tell you what, what has inspired me my whole career is watching men and women take the call to service, regardless of what, you know, what branch you come in. And when we were in, you know, a combat zone in Iraq, nobody cared what service you were in. Right. It didn't matter if you were a Marine, a soldier, an airman, a sailor, it didn't matter. We were all fighting for a common goal to get as many of us back home as possible. And, you know, there's a lot, you know, a lot of quotes, but one of them is Iwo Jima, where they said uncommon value was a uncommon valor was a common virtue. And when, when the bullets start flying. You know, I've never seen a person in anywhere that I was that shied away from combat when combat came. So it's a testament to our young men and women that join. And, and I will say the men and women coming in now will be just as effective in the combat is, you know, our brothers and sisters from years before, because the training is going to be the same. It's tough, and it needs to be tough for everyone that comes in.
Dr. Gina Louden
Yeah, well, my favorite quote is there are no atheists in a foxhole. But you're saying there are no wimps either.
Congressman Mark Alford
That's right. That's right. And we, and we have no room for wimps. So if you are a wimp, don't join. Unless you want to become de wimpified, then come on in, we'll help you get it.
Dr. Gina Louden
Toughen them right up. Colonel, I have a feeling you could totally do that. Colonel William Dunn, Happy Veterans Day. Thank you so much for your service and thanks for being with us.
Congressman Mark Alford
Yes, ma'.
Jake Novak
Am.
Congressman Mark Alford
And thank you so much. And to all my brothers and sisters out there, happy Veterans Day. Hoorah.

Our celebration of service and sacrifice continues here in South Florida, where fashion legend Eli Tahari has just turned the Runway into a stage for strength and survival celebrating women soldiers and the spirit of Israel. Taharie, known for dressing working women around the world, is now using his talent to honor female IDF soldiers, including wounded veterans who walked the catwalk in his latest collection, Threads of Valor. Joining us now to tell us more is the man himself, fashion designer Ellie Taharie. Ellie, good morning. I am so excited you're on the show this morning. I have an Ellie Taharie wool coat with leather trim on it that is going to be a staple in my closet forever. I love you. I think you are great. And this fashion show was amazing. So inspiring. So much more than fashion. It was a message. What inspired you to turn the Runway into a tribute to Israel's female soldiers?
Ellie Tahari
Good morning and happy Veterans Day and I love you too.
Jake Novak
I.
Ellie Tahari
Met a guy in a prayer service that was a veteran in Israeli army and he got wounded. And a few years later he calls me and he says, can I stay in your home? I said, of course. So he was staying here for a few weeks and I see him working very hard day and night. I asked him, what are you working on? He says, I'm working for the wounded soldiers, the women wounded soldiers. And I said, I can help too. I can provide them Clothes. So we call his name is also Elie Eli Shaiko and Eli Shaiko. And I have a program called Shaiko Tahari, which is dressing wounded Israeli soldiers. And you can see them on the screen, the modeling, and I'm very proud to do that. I also, by the way, consider myself to be a lucky American to grow up as a lucky American boy, because I grew up in orphanage, that the volunteers were American and the money were coming from America to support the orphanage. So I call myself lucky to grow up as American boy. I also was born in a tent that took me to Hadassah Hospital, which is an American hospital. So I'm very lucky to be in America to grow up as an American boy. All Israelis consider themselves American, not just me. There is.
Emily Finn
That's awesome to hear, Ellie.
Ellie Tahari
They love America and they support America in every which way.
Emily Finn
You are certainly living the American dream. I was reading my good friend Alina Shirazi's exclusive report about you, and one of the models at this show was actually shot 12 times. That was so inspiring for me to see. I think it's great that you were able to give her a platform. You know, you've dressed so many powerful women in your career. What does it mean to you to see women who served sacrifice wearing your designs?
Ellie Tahari
First of all, I love the project. I love helping. I didn't do it for gold or fame. I did it to help a friend, and it became a life of his own. And everybody in Florida, in St. Thomas University, which is a Christian university, honoring Israeli designer was amazing. They did an amazing job. And all the ghettoes you see on the screen, they're all wounded soldiers. And it was a fantastic event, and they did a fantastic job. All volunteers. The school did the fashion show. I didn't expect to be such a event, such a powerful event, but it moved me, and it was the best day of my life.
Emily Finn
It certainly was a huge success. Ali, you know, you. I want to get to this because you. You brought this up. You spoke about your journey growing up in an orphanage, serving in the Israeli military, building this iconic brand, this fashion brand in America. How do those experiences shape your drive to give back?
Ellie Tahari
Well, I came to New York to visit, and I stayed and I stayed at ymca, which is two blocks away from where I live now. And I ran out of money, and I slept in Central park in front of my building here. Actually, my building was not here. 15 Center Park west was a land, a garage. I used to wash cars in this lot when I came to New York. So I live in a building. I'm very lucky to live in a building where I used to wash car in the building when I arrived to New York.
Emily Finn
Ellie, really quick, we only have a couple seconds left with you, but what's next for you? Are we going to see any more fashion shows like this in the future?
Ellie Tahari
I hope so. I think it was an incredible show and it was amazing. A message that St. Thomas University did a great job by what they did and I hope more will come to follow.
Emily Finn
Ellie Taharie, thank you so much for being on the show this morning. Really appreciate it. It was great to meet you.
Ellie Tahari
Thank you so much.
Emily Finn

Well, I'm very excited to put my patriot on Emily and go celebrate. Special distinguished guests will be people like Secretary DHS Kristi Noem, also border czar Tom Holman, drug czar Sarah Carter, ICE Director Todd Lyons, Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks. The list goes on. General Flynn is going to be there. So many more honoring people who have made extensive sacrifices, all there at our beautiful winter White House, which is open and in full swing. As you know, Mar a Lago. And so it'll be a very beautiful night honoring heroes and giving people just a Little bit of the pat on the back that they deserve.
Emily Finn
Absolutely, Gina. I think it's going to be a great night. You know, this is something backing the blue, right? Backing people that serve us. This is something that we certainly need to be talking about more often and really, really, really supporting more. Something that President Trump has been supporting throughout his entire career in politics. Do you believe that the president, you know, he's got a lot going on in Washington, D.C. i don't know if he's gonna be there tonight, Gina.
Dr. Gina Louden
Probably not on a weekday. I'm guessing he won't be. But I tell you what, he's been surprising me. He gets there every single weekend. He's at all the galas on the weekends. So, you know, it wouldn't shock me, but I don't believe he'll be there. But, you know, with big stars like General Flynn and others, you know, it'll be a wonderful gala, A star spangled night to be sure. But the real stars tonight will be those honored who are our service men and women and those first offenders there that we'll be honoring.
Emily Finn
Absolutely. Gina, I think it's going to be a great time tonight. Very excited to hear from you tomorrow about how all of. I can't wait to see the pictures. Really appreciate you sharing some more with us.
Dr. Gina Louden
Of course. And Bo Davidson on site with me tonight. So this is going to be a beautiful event. And I just want to say one really quick thing. Our staff is so amazing. I walk in this morning, there's just piles of equipment that, you know, you just don't realize how much it takes to go and do one of these. And nobody at RAV has paid extra for this. They do this because they want to put out the extra effort to honor our veterans. That that's what RAV is all about. So just kudos to our team and to Zen and those who have gone the extra mile to make this all happen tonight.
Emily Finn
Well, Gina, you're making this happen. The Rav family and the Mar a Lago family are coming together for this tonight. It's great to see. We appreciate you giving us the preview.
Dr. Gina Louden
Thank you, Emily.
Emily Finn
We will have more American Sunrise in two minutes, but first, let's head down to the southern border where Sergeant Randy Robertson is standing by. Goodbye or not.
Congressman Mark Alford
I'm Staff Sergeant Robertson with the Joint.
Terrence Bates

Congressman Mark Alford
Happy Veterans Day. And go Steelers.
David Brody
Hi, this is Senor Mimbuzzo. I'd like to give a shout out.
Congressman Mark Alford
To my family back home in Ontonaga, Michigan.
David Brody
And let's Go Lions.
Dr. Gina Louden
I'm telling you what, our control room is so darn funny with all of their antagonism of one another over teams. Lest you think that was just something that was accidentally played that was very intentional. Welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. Gina. Thanks so much for joining us today. Time now for our sunnyside up. And in the pan today, a story of history coming home. A message in a bottle sent from the middle of the World War I has finally found its way home. More than a century after two Australian soldiers tossed their handwritten letters into the Pacific. The bottle washed ashore on a beach in Western Australia, discovered by a father and daughter who were just out for a walk. Inside Words from 1916 written by privates Malcolm Neville and William Harley, still clear and legible, capturing a moment in time before the front lines changed their lives forever. The bottle was found by Deb Brown, who later located Neville's descendants and sent the bottle home. It's a wonderful story reminding us all about the courage and service of those who have served. And speaking of service, as we mentioned, I will be attending the Big Blue Bash at Mar a Lago tonight where decorated veterans and federal law enforcement officials will be honored. For more, let's bring back David Brody and Terrance Bates. David?
David Brody
Yes, I. Well, there's a lot I want to say. First of all, have a wonderful time tonight. And it couldn't be for a better cause, that's for sure. Or as we like to say, that's for dang sure. And by the way, let me just say about that bottle story, the message in a bottle, which, by the way, I can't now, I think of the Police song. That's the only thing I'm thinking about. But beyond all of that, I'm gonna be totally honest with you. This is a vulnerable moment for me. No, it's not really a vulnerable moment, but I've thought about doing this. My wife and I have thought, wouldn't it be kind of cool to just send off a bottle with some sort of uplifting faith message? You know, someone that maybe needs to know Jesus in a real and personal way? I mean, whatever it is, just doing something. Who knows if someone in Swahili slash Stockholm, Sweden, who knows who's gonna get the bottle on the other side of the Atlantic or Pacific or wherever it ends up going? I just thought about doing that. Anyhow, this is really cool stuff. And I love these full circle stories. You know, how like, after decades and decades, really almost, what, over a hundred. Yeah, over 100 years in this Case T. Bates. That's pretty cool. Pretty cool stuff.
Terrence Bates
No, this is definitely pretty cool. And what I really like about this story is that the message was reunited with the descendants of those two soldiers, that their family members got this message decades, if not a century later. I think about the sort of connection and closure that it offers for them and definitely connection for the younger generation. I think that's the awesome part of this story.
Dr. Gina Louden
It really is. It really is. We have rehabbed many houses, and one of them was a home that housed Nazi prisoners of war. And the things that we found in that house are so amazing. I have them all kind of in a time capsule. Newspaper articles, beer cans, you know, just really cool stuff. And it is nice to connect to our past like that. So to all of our veterans of today and yesterday, happy Veterans Day. To all who have served you guys, War Room is up next, and we will see you tomorrow. You guys go boldly now.
Kate Monroe
See the truth.
Dr. Gina Louden
Happy Veterans Day.
David Brody
See everybody.
Dr. Gina Louden
