Ahead on American Sunrise. Busted. President Trump says he is designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization. But wait, there's more. It's time to follow the money. We'll explain. Plus, exposed. While the country continues to mourn the assassination of Charlie Kirk, some in the academic world have celebrated it and and are now feeling the consequences. The punishment details are ahead. And finally, crime crackdown. President Trump recently announced Memphis as the next city to be brought under control. Reaction ahead with Senator Marsha Blackburn coming next on American Sunrise. Let's go. Good morning, America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.

President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Dr. Gina
And I'm Dr. Gina. Good morning, everybody. I'm Dr. Gina. We are live with you from the Palm Beaches. Let's bring in David Brody. He's in Washington, D.C. and Terrence Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning, gentlemen.
Terrence Bates
Hello, Gina T. Dr. Gina and David, Good morning. David, I don't appreciate you starting in the morning scooping me. The first tease that you read this morning had to do with Antifa. And I want to talk a little bit more about that because President Trump, as you said, is designating Antifa a domestic terror group. Here's the truth social post. The thing that stands out to me, the president calling Antifa a sick, dangerous, radical left disaster. That's just part of it. Dr. Gina though, as I read this last night, I chuckled and thought of you because the president also ending that post saying that he wants to go after the people who are funding Antifa and he wants them to be investigated. And you always say follow the money.
Dr. Gina
Dr. Gina yeah, this is really good news, Terrence. And I speak as someone who has been designated as a terrorist before by the left. I was on the terror watch list during, of course, Covid and all of that simply for supporting the president. As best I know, no one really ever gave me a reason because the left doesn't feel like they need to. But so this is, this is actually really good to see. And I want conservatives to bear one thing in mind, too. Those things that we do during this administration that we support as we're considering what we can do, for example, about hate speech, right? They can flip on you in one administration. And this is a perfect example of that. The Democrats should have thought of this while they were doing things like going around and making innocent people terrorists. Many of the people we have on this program have been designated as terrorists, were unable to fly, had many of their liberties taken away in an effort to shut them up. Right. To have them not express their opinions. But you're right, Terence, the follow the money part is really, really key here, because if we can defund somehow these NGOs that have operated really, as terrorists against the American people for all of these years in so many ways, this would be amazing. This wouldn't just apply to groups like Antifa, for example, David Brody. It would apply to NGOs like the Red Cross, Catholic Charities, others who participate, if it can be proven that they participated in harboring illegal immigrants, David.
David Brody
Well, and that's the most interesting part of this, that there's so many other shoes that will drop, and these shoes are going to have money in them. And now we wait to see if indeed the Trump administration makes good on that promise. You know, they want to. The question is they got to connect the dots, legally and otherwise. I remember Joe Biden in 2020 calling Antifa an idea. Remember that? He called it an idea. Yeah. Okay. Well, now, an Idea is a domestic terrorist threat and an operation that we are going to label them as an organization, a domestic terrorism organization. So, Joe, go ride your bike. And by the way, let me just say, to quote President Trump, thank you for your attention to this matter. We appreciate it. That's a great quote.
Dr. Gina
Oh, my gosh. Yeah. And I think you make such a solid point, too. There are so many great ideas out there. My husband always says to my children, tell me how you would write the law. You're right, David. That's the tricky part.
David Brody
That's right. All right.
Terrence Bates
All right, Dr. Dean, we're going to talk much more about this. Yeah. Would you get us to our Bible verse Really quickly?
Dr. Gina
Colossians 3, 2, 3 is the name of the game today. And it says, and whatever you do, do it heartily. Actually quoted this on air yesterday on the show as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance, for you serve Lord Christ. So. And I love. I tell this to my children all the time when they're complaining about having to do menial tasks or having to do starter jobs in high school. Right. Things like that. I say, whatever you do, do it unto the Lord, because that's when he broadens your territory. Even if you don't like it, sometimes it's important to do it well. As the country continues to mourn the loss of Charlie Kirk, some continue making hateful remarks about his assassination and have lost their jobs. This report in the Nashville Banner lays out how two professors at universities in the state. One was at Austin Pace State University who posted a two year old story about comments Kirk made about guns. Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn then posted on Facebook asking what the school would do. The professor was then fired, with the university stating that the post was insensitive and interpreted by some as a justification of the assassination of Charlie Kirk. For more, let's bring in that senator, Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, who's always in the middle of the fight. Senator, I do want to get to all of this because words have become such a political banter in this season of OUR Nation. But I want to talk to you briefly about someplace where a lot of words are being generated because you were in that. I talked to you before you got on the show. I didn't know this before. This wasn't what I was going to ask you before, but you were in that hearing yesterday with parents talking about losing their children to AI bots, AI bots coming in alongside children and telling them, supporting them in their suicidal ideations resulting in actual suicides, supporting them in self harm as these bots have come into relationships with our children and sometimes the most supportive relationship they'll have in their life because they're going to agree with them on everything. Right. I'm really nervous after hearing some of that hearing testimony yesterday by parents that this is the fentanyl, the next fentanyl demon we have to fight in our culture. Tell us. Senator.
Senator Marsha Blackburn
Well, indeed it is. And I held a hearing on the Metaverse and what is happening with these avatars and the fact that young children are using this oculus system from Meta. And we had two whistleblowers come from Meta and Gina. We've had a total of six whistleblowers, two that were before us, two that are not yet public, pardon me, and two more that still work with Meta. And when something happens to your avatar, the children physiologically react the same as if it were happening to them in the physical world and they're not separating the reality. So that is what is happening in the Metaverse. And children are then committing suicide. They are going into deep depressions. They're experiencing anxieties. Now the other part of this is the Chatbots. That was a separate hearing and Senator Hawley led that hearing. What is happening with the Chatbots is character AI and chatgpt they have these chatbots that do sensual and sexually explicit conversations with the children. Then they encourage the child into self harm. And this has got to. This has got to be dealt with. What we have learned is that when children are in the virtual space, they're the product. And these big tech companies have no desire to protect children, even though we know from the whistleblowers that were at the first hearing that they have done the research and that Meta, Google, Snap, Discord, all of these companies try to hide the findings from the research. The whistleblowers from Meta said the legal team had even instructed them to delete certain conversations, to not push forward certain research that they had done. So the whistleblowers, knowing this is devastating to a child's life, have reached out and they're working with us. Of course, Senator Blumenthal and I have had the Kids Online Safety act for five years and big tech has fought the passage of that. We got it through the Senate last year on a 91 to 3 vote. We're waiting for the House to take it up. It is imperative that these social media platforms be required to have a duty of care that they do safety by design, that they have a readily available toolbox for parents and kids to be able to delink from these algorithms so that the virtual space can be a safe space for all of our children.
David Brody
Just absolutely crucial. We could spend two hours talking about this. Let me move on real quick because we've got about a minute, minute and a half left. But I've got to get to Memphis and the National Guard. And of course, here comes the National Guard. I kind of feel like Tennessee wins the National Guard lottery. How'd you guys get to the. The front of the line here? Explain it, Senator Blackb. Because obviously Memphis is in, in a lot of trouble there from a crime perspective. But somehow Memphis jumped to the top. We had Baltimore, Chicago, but they're starting there in Memphis. Explain that real quick. Got about a minute left.
Senator Marsha Blackburn
Yes, indeed. Cash Patel came before us at Judiciary Committee for his hearing. Before he was put in as the FBI director, I gave him the stat sheet from crime in Memphis. And I said, I need your help with Memphis. He agreed to do that. He's been true to his word. During the summer, without any fanfare, we had an FBI surge in Memphis. They apprehended more than 500 gang members, 118 firearms, and have now over 100 indictments. This is a phase two to bring in extra resources from the Guard, from ATF, DEA, US Marshals, Homeland Security to back up Memphis while they sustain this work to get these gangs under control. Memphis is short 800 police officers. So this will allow police to do that good work while these other federal agencies step in and help relieve some of the paperwork, traffic duty, logistics, apprehensions through the DEA and the atf. And we are determined to make Memphis safe again. It is a wonderful city. And I will add this, David, one thing people don't readily think about. Memphis is our nation's logistics hub here on the east side of the country. I40 from east to west. And then you have FedEx, the Port of Memphis, and all five Class A railroads are in Memphis. Cargo theft over the last four years has increased 5,000%. So the gangs are committing this theft, and of course, then they're using those funds to actually go in and fund their activities. So getting these gangs out of Memphis will stabilize the situation. And we want Memphis to return to being a very safe city. And we look forward to that.
David Brody
Senator, gotta run. 10 seconds or less, just one sentence. When do we expect the National Guard on the ground in Memphis specifically?
Senator Marsha Blackburn
That is the governor's call.
David Brody
Okay, appreciate you.
Terrence Bates
Thank you, sir. Nice job. Senator Blackburn, Very nice.
David Brody
That was short and sweet. Senator Blackburn, thanks for being here.
Senator Marsha Blackburn
Thank you.
David Brody
I appreciate it. We've got some breaking news here. Let's take a look here. And I believe if I. Do we have something here or. No, guys, it's President Trump. And let's just double check. Give me some information in my ear, see what we're seeing here. But this is obviously the uk Trump is President Trump, excuse me, is walking in with Keir Starmer, the, of course, the head of Great Britain. And so we're just going to monitor this. Just. I'll double check, guys, here live on the air. Is this live or is this tape? Just double checking. Assuming it's live, but we will. Look, there is the president, who, of course, is with Chris Darma. And now they are coming to microphones. Let's listen in for a little bit.
Keir Starmer
Thank you very much and very nice to see you all. And Mr. President, let me welcome you again for this unprecedented second state visit. And it's a great pleasure for me personally to welcome you to my home from home here at Chequers. And thank you very much for taking the time to say hello to the staff who are absolutely. They've done a brilliant job and they've been preparing for weeks, and it's really so good to have you here. So thank you so much. You are among friends, and I think we all agree there's so much to celebrate in the special relationship between our two countries by standing together in war and in peace. This bond is the very foundation of our security, our freedom and our prosperity. But what is the relationship all about when it comes down to brass tax? It comes down to leaders, of course. Leaders who respect each other, leaders who genuinely like each other. And it comes down to our unique relationship on defence, the closest the world has ever seen. It comes down to the connections between our people, ties of family and friendship. The President himself is a shining example of that. But it also comes down to business. To all of you here and thank you so much for coming here this afternoon. It's fantastic to have you with us. As the best evidence of that people to people, business to business, relationship that thrives in the special relationship. In so many ways, this story is a story about enterprise. The US is our single biggest, largest trading partner. Companies like BP, GSK, Rolls Royce and AstraZeneca employ thousands of people in the United States. American companies like Microsoft, Citigroup, Boeing, Amazon and Blackstone do the same here. Together we support over 2.5 million jobs across both economies. So this relationship is embodied in each and every one of you here today. We have, if you like, the great and the good of British and American business sitting with us, leading lights in tech like Jensen, Ruth Demis and Satya Finance, Jane, Larry and Steve, and of course in pharma, in defence, energy and manufacturing. It is really great to see you all, to see you all again, I should say, because of course we were together yesterday and we know each other very, very well, which is exactly as it should be. And just look at what we're achieving today together. The deals and investment that you're announcing today. Break all records. What a day. £250 billion flowing both ways across the Atlantic. It is the biggest investment package of its kind in British history by a country mile. So thank you so much for your contribution on your part in that as the embodiment of that special relationship. And let me spell out what that means. It means life changing investments across the United Kingdom. It's expected to create 15,000 jobs in Belfast, in Birmingham, Hartlepool, the Humber and well beyond. It means thousands of working people will feel and will be better off. And it shows the potency of this partnership. U.S. capital and entrepreneurial spirit combined with British ideas and ingenuity. The UK is one of the world's largest economies, maybe not quite on the scale of the United States, I concede. But my word, we punch above Our weight. And we lead the world in expertise on quantum, on AI, life sciences, financial services and more. We have the only trillion dollar tech sector in the west outside of the U.S. again, caveat. We have the best investment, the best universities, the most Nobel prizes and we have demis here outside the us. That's what we bring to the table and we are proud of it. That's why we both benefit from this incredible relationship. Look at the economic prosperity deal that we struck back in May. It was the first trade deal that the President made and yes, it was the best deal as well. We have the lowest tariffs in the world in vital sectors and that is some achievement. It was a tough negotiation, but we did it for a reason. Because it's a win for both sides and because we knew that by working together we could deliver more for working people. We could help the businesses here today to thrive and help you create good, well paid jobs in communities up and down our country. And ultimately that is the test of the special relationship. How much it delivers for honest, hard working people to make them safer and better off. We've already taken a big steps forward and we're going further today, much further. In a moment, the President and I will sign our groundbreaking new technology partnership, the Tech Prosperity deal. It's a blueprint to win this new era together, shape it according to our shared values and seize the incredible opportunities that are on offer. I want to thank all of you for supporting this vision. We have huge new investments from Nvidia, N Scale, OpenAI, Google, Salesforce and many more backing cutting edge British jobs for years to come. And of course tech needs energy. So to fuel this revolution, we have struck a new deal on civil nuclear power. We discussed this Mr. President, last time we were together and the opportunities we had generating energy for millions of homes and businesses, driving down bills on both sides of the Atlantic and driving up energy security. So I want to thank everybody here for supporting this too with brilliant job creating investments from Amentum and others, including building up to 12 advanced nuclear reactors in the North East. So this is a great day for the special relationship. A celebration of what has gone before, of course. But more than that, a moment to deliver investments, jobs and deals which will improve people's lives now and light up the special relationship for years to come. So thank you all and now it is my pleasure to hand the floor to my friend, our friend, President Trump.
President Donald Trump
Thank you very much.
Terrence Bates
Thank you.
President Donald Trump
Great job. This is a very distinguished group. I can tell you that's what I do for a living. It was before politics. I would have to deal with you. And you are the best. You're the best in the world and you're here. And it's an honor to have all of these great leaders. Really an honor. But I'm sincerely grateful to Prime Minister Starmer and Lady Starmer for welcoming us to this very special home, this beautiful place. And I was here a number of years ago, but somehow today it looks even better, even more beautiful and even more historic. Melania and I are forever thankful to his Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla. Had a fantastic evening last night. But the exquisite honor of a second official state visit, the first ever. It's the first time it's ever been done was, you know, it really was an honor. Such great history and to think it's a first. It's always nice to have a first. But the ties between our countries are priceless. And it's really an inheritance. It's a beautiful inheritance. Today we're making those ties closer than ever before. We've done some things that financially are great for both countries and we work together and it keeps us together. And I think it's an unbreakable bond we have. Regardless of what we're doing today, I think it's unbreakable. But this is very big. And I want to thank all of the incredibly talented business leaders, the best in the world, biggest in the world, here this afternoon, for investing in the Anglo American alliance. And you personify an important part of the unique national bond and really a world bond. What you've done is incredible. Our two countries do a great deal of business together. $340 billion last year was the number. In May, the United Kingdom became the first country to make a trade deal with the United States. During my second term. And we sort of wanted to make it the first because the bond is so strong and the relationship so long. That agreement will create billions of dollars in opportunities for American farmers to sell their products into the UK, reduce barriers to trade and give the US manufacturers better access to the UK's world class aerospace supply chain, which is really, really is world class. A lot of people don't understand the importance of that particular asset that you have. It's a beautiful, it's a beautiful job you've done. There's no more natural partnership in the world. Together we're building up the industrial capacity of both of our countries, which is crucial to our defense. And we work so well together in defense. I met so many of the leaders of your defending group and many of them I'VE known by name, but now I know them pretty well. We had some very good meetings today and yesterday. So we're taking the next logical step with a historic agreement on science and technology partnerships. And this will create new government, academic and private sector cooperation in areas such as AI, which is taking over the world. I mean, I'm looking at you guys. You're taking over the world. Jensen, I don't know what you're doing here. I hope you're right. All I can say is we both hope you're right. But it's pretty amazing. Quantum computing, fusion, 6G and civil nuclear energy and align our nations through the approach of centered deregulation and innovation. And we're going to have a lot of deregulation and a tremendous amount of innovations just happening. But this new accord is already helping spur a massive wave of private sector deals worth over $350 billion alone, headlined by a 136 billion from Blackstone. That's very nice, Steve, thank you. That's why you have that location. I think it's considered the best seat all the year. Yours is pretty good too, Jensen. That's good. That's great, Steve. You know what? You're doing better than anybody. American company EX Energy and British company Centrica has been announcing and really for a long while, they've been talking about this deal. The deployment of modular nuclear reactors across the uk. All across the uk. It's been in the wind for a couple of years and now we're getting it done. Generating more than $50 billion in economic value, creating up to 2,500 jobs, empowering 1.5 million homes. That's a lot of homes. Seven decades after British genius Alan Turing pioneered the field. This agreement will also help America and our British allies dominate the future of artificial intelligence. You need the energy. You have to have the energy. That's one thing I learned very quickly. They need a lot of electricity in the United States. You need double what we have right now just to maintain that fight. We're right now, and I want to say leading China and the world by a lot in AI. A lot. And we're creating tremendous amounts of energy and letting you create your own electricity in many, many cases. And we're giving you very rapid approvals. We're getting them approvals like they've never seen before. They used to wait 15 and 20 years to be rejected. Now they wait two weeks or three weeks to be accepted. That's a pretty big. That's a pretty big difference. And at the same time, we always have the environment in mind, but we move them along. But we're committed to ensuring that you have secure and reliable sources of American AI and quantum technology. We intend to always be the UK's strongest, closest and most trusted business partner. Very important to us. The relationship is very important. One year ago, our country was in serious trouble. The king of Saudi Arabia, a great gentleman, great gentleman, you all know him, he said, sir, your country was dead one year ago and now you have the hottest country anywhere in the world. And it's true, we'll have more than $17 trillion invested in our country this year. 17 trillion, which is many, many times what we had last year. And we're only in our just about, almost ninth month getting, it's moving along quickly. It's amazing. I was saying we're in our third month, our fourth month, our fifth month, but we're at, it's going to be over $17 trillion. No, no country has ever had anything like that, even close. GDP last quarter was 3.3%. Despite all of the things we're doing, one of the things we're doing, which I'm very proud of, is the border. We now have a totally closed border, totally secure. For three months, zero people came into our country, bad people. And they come in, but they have to come in legally. We have a great process going and inflation is virtually nonexistent. As you know, we're taking in trillions of dollars from tariffs. And they've been so incredible for our country, so incredible. We're keeping our companies happy, we're keeping them solid and sane and they're very, very thrilled at what's happened. They can't even, actually, they can't even believe it. And we've never seen investment like this. Without the tariffs we would have just a fraction of that. And we're really the only one that can do tariffs. Nobody else is able to do them with us. It works because people have to be there. But we've slashed 30 year old regulations and as you know, in my first term we had a very successful first term. We had the greatest economy in the history of our country and we had the biggest regulation cut in the history of our country and now we're doing it again. We're slashing them at a level that is even beyond what we did in the first term. First term we did more regulation cutting by four times. Any other, at any other time that any other country has done or that we've done and we think we're going to exceed that this time and we'll have regulation, but it'll be sane regulation. It'll be regulation that allows you to compete and do your thing or regulations that you're able to get around and do things and you no longer have that regulation. But we slashed regulations at a level that's never been done before. And we're doing it at the same level right now. I recently signed the largest tax cuts in our country's history. And the bill includes a 100% expensing for investments in equipment and factories. Nobody has ever seen anything like that. And it lasts for a 10 year period. So it's going to be there for a while. But the countries and companies are coming into our country for the expensing aspect of the bill. I call it the biggest beautiful bill, the great big beautiful bill. We got so much, the largest bill ever passed in the history of our country. In fact, so big that we really don't have to pass too much anymore. We can just do this for four years. Implement, you know, I like to implement because the bills are wonderful, but you have to implement. But the expensing is going to be the reason, I think that bigger than anything else, when you have one year expensing, you can write everything off in the first year, including structure. So you didn't even have that in the first bill. I think it was the biggest factor in the first bill, why it led to such growth. And this is actually a better form of expensing and it's actually more significant. So today America is strong. Our economy is I think, potentially the strongest it's ever been. We'll see very soon those big places that are being built all over the country. Car companies are moving in. AI is moving in. Everybody is coming in. They all want to be here. The drug companies are coming back. They all want to be there. They sort of have to be there, but they want to be there. But with this agreement, our cherished friendship with the United Kingdom is getting stronger and stronger. And again, I want to thank the Prime Minister, he worked very hard on this in getting this deal done. This is long in the making. They've been talking about it for a long time and we got it done. And it's a real honor to be with you. And thank you very much.
David Brody
Thank you.
President Donald Trump
Are you sure, Scott? If the deal's no good, I'm blaming you, Scott. It's a great honor. Okay, hold that, hold that up.
David Brody

All right, you've been listening to a pseudo press conference, more like a signing deal with a few preplanned questions. We expect President Trump to hold a full throttled press conference, possibly with Keir Starmer later. But we'll see. For now we're breaking away because they're obviously we got the news, a big deal. Specifically as I look at my notes but on my glasses it's investment, tech investment, steel tariffs and you know, it's, it's money and money into America, money into UK for more, let's bring in a Mac spokesman, also a former Assistant Secretary of State. Now, by the way, he's running for governor of, in the great state of Maine. Did I say, by the way, that'd be Bobby Charles. I may have buried the lead. Bobby, thanks for being here. So what do you think? Some of the comments by both Keir Starmer and President Trump. Once again, Trump's on the world stage making deals.
Bobby Charles
He is, you know, a couple things that, you know, as I watched all of that unfold come to my mind. First, American leadership is back. You know, he sets the stage and you know, if you set the agenda and you, I mean, look at the difference, world difference between what's happened in the last, in the first, you know, several months of his administration and the entire entirety of the Obama or Biden administration. It's just extraordinary leadership. And the second thing, and I spent two years living in England. I find it fascinating that it reflects an understanding of the truly historic, special relationship we have with this World War II ally and longstanding. I mean, we come from them and they are very attentive to our leadership on the world stage. I also thought the interesting thing is, you know, I noticed that the Prime Minister mentioned that they were leaders in technology, and that they had done. They had Nobel Prize winners there. And always comes back to me, and I won't get the exact numbers right, but it always startles me when I think people don't understand that America is truly unique in the world and Great Britain is sort of right behind us. We are unique in the world because we're risk takers. We're risk takers in the military, we're risk takers in business, we're risk takers. And so, to put it differently, America is not an accident. It is a product of extraordinary commitment and risk taking over over generations. And there's a reason why we have 409. I think it's 409 Nobel prizes, and China has nine. We are risk takers, and we believe in the idea that business and the private sector need to be empowered, that we need free markets. And freedom is really the way in which you go forward, whether it's, you know, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, whether it's your freedom of faith, your freedom to choose how you want to live your life and where you want to live it and the Bill of Rights, or it's the freedom of our markets. So amac, of course, fights for that every day.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, it really is something to see on the world stage. I couldn't help but notice just the mere presence of President Trump is so much larger than life. Then when they both signed the paperwork there and exchanged it, I could only see President Trump's. I couldn't see anything else on that page. And you could see President Trump's probably if you were, you know, looking pretty well from Canada. And so, you know, it really is such a different moment for us in history. Do you think that it is just the election of President Trump that has changed so much of the world that they really are being sincerely respectful to him? Or is this just a show? Because many in our chat are saying they just feel like they. They want money. This has nothing to do. You know, they look at the influx of illegal immigration and the Islamist Sharia law that has built itself very well there. What do you see? What's your. What's your landscape for us?
Bobby Charles
You know, I've been around presidents, and I will tell you that I feel that what you're witnessing there on that stage is both the power of the policies and the power of the person. You know, not to put too fine a point on it, but sometimes a person will walk into a room and President Trump is this person. He will walk into a room and the entire Room changes because of the. Not because of the power or the title, but because of the authority and the strength of the man. I mean, that was true of certain military leaders. It's been true of certain presidents. It's true of certain leaders on the world stage. Historically, you know, when Winston Churchill walked into a room, no doubt the room paid enormous attention. I think it's the fact that Donald Trump has weathered every storm and safely found a port after every storm, whether it's lawfare or something else, assassination attempts. This is a man who is. You almost get the feeling that he's a man of destiny, that this is really something where if you fall in behind this man, the world will be led to a better place. And I think the epic moments in what we know as world history are, in my view, defined by men and women. I think that Ronald Reagan changed the face of the world by the conviction that he had that it could be done, should be done, needed to be done. And I believe that Donald Trump is doing that today. And frankly, on a much smaller scale. Up here in Maine, we have a lot of challenges ahead of us, and there is a sense up here that people are sick and tired of being led by bad leaders and that they really want a turn of the page, a freshness that allows them to get their freedoms back. And again, it's the same freedoms. It's the freedom associated with our economy, which has been heavily, heavily overregulated. And I noted all the regulations being cut by President Trump. It's the fact that our safety, our public safety. I was just up at the northern border and will be again. You know, it's our public safety that's under threat. Illegal aliens and drugs. And so here's a president who is literally walking the walk. He's talking the talk, he's doing what he says he will do. And by God, we love those people.
Terrence Bates
Bobby, you mentioned that you were at the northern border, so I do want to switch a little bit and talk about what you experience at the northern border and talk about some of the challenges you see there at the northern border. Obviously, your state is there. And I asked that question in the context of so much of our focus, are the problems at the southern border, but there is a northern border where there are also people coming across illegally.
Bobby Charles
Yeah, there's no question. I mean, I guess my concern and, you know, whether it was Reagan or other experiences, I was always encouraged to look around corners, try to anticipate what's going to happen next. And it's the best way to Live. And so at our southern border, we're doing great things. We're shutting it down and we're feeling a greater sense of safety. You know, President Trump is doing things I never imagined any president would do, which is to actually go after the fentanyl traffickers with a vengeance. Well, you know, it's like the balloon theory, right? If you push here, it's going to come out over there. And right now on the northern border, having just been at three spots up there, the northern border is really, it's the next big war zone. And I think we have to be aware of that. And so I spent time with CBP and dea and I'll spend some more time, no doubt in the future, trying to understand what they need, what they don't have, the penetration. I won't go all the frat through all the facts here, but we've had significant penetration. They've been big. And so I think we just are trying to protect.
David Brody
Bobby Charles, great insight as always. Love having you on, especially in breaking news situations because I believe you're the utility player in baseball. You can play all positions. We appreciate, I appreciate that.
Bobby Charles
I try.
David Brody
All right. Today at shortstop, Bobby Charles. All right, we have more American Sunrise after the break, everybody.
Senator Marsha Blackburn
Welcome back to American Sunrise. I'm American Sunrise contributor Emily Finn, a TV anchor has resigned after being suspended for honoring Charlie Kirk. Benny Rae Harmony has resigned from ABC 20 in Springfield, Illinois, saying that she faced retaliation for airing a tearful non partisan tribute to Kirk, her mentor and former boss. Harmony said she shows faith and love of country over keeping her job and closed with prayers for Kirk's family and America. Her bio has since been scrubbed from the station's website. Take a look at this. Two days ago, I lost a mentor, my first boss, the first person who made me believe in myself. That encouraged me to chase this dream that you're watching right now. Charlie Kirk. There's a lot of, there's a lot of going on in our world right now in our country. But I want to say one thing. Lean on your neighbors. Speak up for what you believe in. I don't care what it is. I want to share with you one of my favorite sayings that Charlie would always tell us at the office, he would yell it from the mountaintop. So please listen. When conversations stop happening, when individuals become wordless, that's when violence begins. So if you do one thing today, make it be with passion, with conviction, stand up for your friends, stand up for your beliefs and speak loudly. Even if your voice shakes, your words have meaning, your values have purpose. Never forget that. Thank you, ck. You changed my life. Benny Rae, Harmony joins us now. Thank you so much for joining American Sunrise. So walk us through the whole process. How did all of this unfold after that tribute that we just watched aired? Emily, Gina, thank you so much. So it all occurred on Friday. This was last Friday is when I aired the tribute and I produced my show as well as host the show. So there was nobody overseeing what went in my show. And this was a very last minute thing. I think last week there was a sense of heaviness that there still is over America and over the world. And I was not the only one feeling this grief. And other people in my station had shared the exact same feelings towards what had happened. And so that day, when I was walking into the studio, I took my normal route through the back way and something came over me, Emily. And all I can say is it truly was the Holy Spirit. And I believe that I have stayed silent for a really long time. I formerly worked for Jack Posobec and Turning Point usa, as well as a few other things. And. And my values and morals have always been there. And this place, from the second they hired me, they threatened me. You know, they told me I was not allowed to share my views and that I really did need to take an unbiased perspective. And I understand that. But when Monday came a few days ago, I went into my boss's office and he informed me that I would not be going on live television. And I asked the question, why? The question, conservatives, the question we all are asking every single day, why? Why is this happening? And they didn't give me an answer. There was no answer. It was just, if you don't take it down, there will be consequences. They didn't tell me what consequences, but I knew right then and there, and I didn't have a regret in my body. I knew I did the right thing. And I knew, just as Charlie would always say, he wouldn't want us to be like him, he would want us to be like Christ, and he would want us to be like Jesus. And so speaking that truth, it had never felt more liberating. And I'm just extremely grateful and so blessed that the Lord has given me the voice to speak that truth.
Dr. Gina
Well, first, I just want to thank you for your courage and say it was absolutely beautiful and more people need to be able to stand. We all have friends that are on local news or, you know, are working in jobs where they can't talk about what they really Believe most of us have friends who are at national networks where they have to remain undercover, Hollywood, the likes. But here's the thing that I don't understand about this. So you obviously, when you went to work for them, submitted a resume and they knew obviously that you had had this job for Turning Point. So then let's say it had been a job working for someone more mundane in terms of politics, just Steve Jobs or someone more liberal. Because I guess that would have been acceptable. Right. And your boss had died and you had to talk about that on air. Would you have been reprimanded for that? And do you have legal recourse that you're going to pursue?
Senator Marsha Blackburn
Gina, I truly don't think this would have happened if it was somebody like a Steve Jobs or somebody, you know, that that is on the other side. My station is very vocal. Our general manager, our managers, all of them, and just every single person that is in leadership. From the second that I started, I was getting comments in front of clients that would come in for interviews. The general manager would call me an anti vaxxer. And I think he thought it was funny. I think he thought it was a way to create some sort of camaraderie. But there was one thing that was very clear. It was good versus evil. There was two separate values. And here's the thing. I'm okay. I advocate for hearing other perspectives. And if my general manager wanted to sit down with me and have a conversation about political views, I would do that because that is what our mission and what our movement does. It's just, it's truly, it's truly sad this has occurred and the words. I have a lot of evidence that I cannot share due to Illinois, some of the Illinois laws that we have. But I have evidence of our managers calling Trump and calling people in our, the current administration, Nazis, pedophiles, Hitler and horrific things. And the fact that this is happening in newsrooms across the country, I hope that others are watching this and watching Turning Point's mission and they stand up the same as I did.
Dr. Gina
Yeah.
Senator Marsha Blackburn
Well, Benny, Ray, Harmony, you certainly have my respect for standing up for the truth and standing up for yourself. Thank you so much for joining our show this morning. Emily, Gina, thank you.
Dr. Gina
Thank you.
Senator Marsha Blackburn
Coming up, after Charlie Kirk's assassination, many Republicans are turning to faith. Chapels are filling up. And the next generation may be finding something deeper than politics. We'll be right back with more on American Sunrise.
David Brody
God bless the usa.
Steve Gruber
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
Senator Marsha Blackburn
Welcome back to American Sunrise. It is time now for our Moments of Faith brought to us by Lee Greenwood and the God Bless the USA Bible in focus today. Mass attendance is spiking across America, especially on college campuses after Charlie Kirk's death. Students say they're hungry for meaning and faith is where they're finding it. According to Catholic News Agency, non regular churchgoers, students who never set foot in mass before are now flocking to services seeking answers and spiritual guidance. Leaders in campus ministries report increases as high as 15% with groups and individuals asking, what do I do? What is evil? This Charlie Kirk effect is being seen as a reawakening of faith, a turning tide in America where spirituality and truth are once again center stage for discussion. Let's welcome to American Sunrise, founder of Revival Today, Jonathan Shuttlesworth. Thank you so much for joining us. Why do you think that this tragedy has ignited such a strong spiritual response among young people? I mean, Charlie really did walk with the Lord in his everyday life, was always talking about his faith. Talk to me about your reaction to people really turning to their faith in the wake of his death.
Bobby Charles
Well, I'll add to what you said before the break, which is it's not just Republicans turning to faith, it's atheists. I'm done. How do I go to church? Do I have to pay for my.
Steve Gruber
Seat before I go in?
Bobby Charles
Where do I sit?
Steve Gruber
It's the left left that is coming.
Bobby Charles
As well that's outraged at how vile the reactions have been to Charlie Kirk's death.
Steve Gruber
And with people celebrating it, there's a.
Bobby Charles
Lot that don't want to be a part of it.
Steve Gruber
So you have lukewarm God fearing Republicans.
Bobby Charles
That haven't been to church that are deciding to come back and you're having.
Steve Gruber
Absolute blue liberals that are so repulsed by people's vile responses to Charlie Kirk.
Bobby Charles
Being shot, that don't want to be a part of the left anymore that are coming in. And I'll add to it that's on top of church attendance having already spiked. So now there's this second wave.
Steve Gruber
We were jammed through the sanctuary, out into the lobby and the lobby was.
Bobby Charles
Pretty full with makeshift chairs and I.
Steve Gruber
Don'T see it subsiding anytime soon.
Senator Marsha Blackburn
That's amazing to hear. I was talking to my best friend in Michigan and she said the same thing about her church, that it was absolutely packed. There was were so many people. She noticed a huge, huge difference. And I really, really do think that Charlie Kirk gets the credit for that. Jonathan Shuttlesworth, thank you so much for your time. Always great to speak with you.
David Brody
Yeah.
Bobby Charles
Great to see you two.
President Donald Trump
Have an awesome day.
Senator Marsha Blackburn
Be sure to tune in to revival today this Sunday morning here on rav. We'll be back with the second hour of American Sunrise in just two minutes. Stick around.
Dr. Gina
Foreign.
David Brody
Hour of American Sunrise. Charlie Kirk wasn't just followed, he was felt. And since his assassination, millions more are now listening. His social media exploding, fueled by the power of his message and the magnitude of his loss. We're going to break it down. Secretary of State Marco Rubio drawing a red line. If you're in America on a visa and you cheer the murder of an American, you're gone. Deportation orders already hitting. Is this the new standard? That story ahead. And in Europe, America's power made clear. President Trump in the UK Right now, King Charles in Parliament putting America's leader front and center. And it is just a ceremony. It's a show of unity and deals on the world stage. Plus, back here in the States, first it was Colbert, now it's Kimmel as ABC pulls the not so funny late night talk show off the air indefinitely over Charlie Kirk comments. We're gonna have those details and more. The second hour of American Sunrise starting right now. Good morning America.
Dr. Gina
Welcome to American Sunrise. Whether it's culture, we have breaking news to share with you.
Terrence Bates
Politics.
David Brody
President Trump is joining us live now from Florida.
Terrence Bates
We've got you covered.
David Brody
This is what it looks like to be a patriot.
Terrence Bates
We have to protect the American family.
Dr. Gina
The American dream is still alive.
David Brody
I'm David Brody.
Terrence Bates
I'm terrence.
Senator Marsha Blackburn
And I'm Dr. Gina.
David Brody
And welcome back, everybody, to the second hour of American Sunrise. I'm David Brody coming to you from D.C. let's bring in Dr. G in West Palm T. Bates in our Denver newsroom. Good morning to both of you. A busy morning. And President Trump, of course, right in the middle of it all, Dr. G signing deals in, you know, overseas designating antifa as a terrorist organization. Oh, and saying that Jimmy Kimmel's a buffoon and he's ridiculous and I'm glad he's out. I mean, talk about the multitasker of multitasking that is President Trump.
Dr. Gina
Yeah, we knew it. You know, I was thinking during that whole entire signing ceremony, Joe Biden couldn't have done that in his wildest dreams. He couldn't have sat down.
David Brody
He can't ride a bicycle. He can't ride a bicycle.
Dr. Gina
Right. But I mean, there's literally no way he could have done that. And it's getting to be more and more shocking as we watch the Trump administration unfold, Terrence, that Joe Biden got away withholding that office for as long as he did really is. I really hope that auto pin thing unleashes all of this so that we can know all of it and the proper people can be prosecuted because this can never happen again. What happened in that administration?
Terrence Bates
Well, let's focus on the current commander in chief who is making worlds of changes and changing the world. You see what I did there? I like that just came off the top of the dome there. President Trump continuing his royal state visit in England at the moment. In fact, while you were sleeping, the commander in chief chief was up and atom making deals and wheeling and dealing. In fact, he was meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The duo participating in a business leaders reception as we speak and holding a joint news conference just a little while ago. A significant part of the discussion between Trump and Starmer focuses on trade. In fact, Britain's Guardian newspaper reporting that the two leaders are announcing more than $200 billion in U.S. investments in the U.K. they literally just signed an agreement probably about 45 minutes ago or so. A majority of the investment is going to include investment from equity firm Blackstone. That's over 10 years. Other companies being named as potential investors or real estate logistics company Prologis as well as tech company Palantir. The British government expects the investment package to create 76,000 high quality jobs in industries ranging from clean energy to life sciences. Here's what President Trump had to say about the relationship between the United States and Great Britain just a little while ago.
President Donald Trump
And we work together and it keeps us together. And I think it's an unbreakable bond we have. Regardless of what we're doing today. I think it's unbreakable. But this is very big and I want to thank all of the incredibly talented business leaders, the best in the world, biggest in the world here this afternoon for investing in the Anglo American Alliance. And you personify an important part of the unique national bond and really a world bond. What you've done is incredible.
Terrence Bates
Meantime, back here in the United States, late night host Jimmy Kimmel, the poster child for the idea that words have consequences. ABC has suspended his late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live indefinitely over over comments that he made about Charlie Kirk's murder. The network and other television station groups call Kimmel's comments, quote, offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse. President Trump chiming into the conversation on truth social calling ABC's announcement great news for America. He goes on to lash out at Kimmel saying that he has, quote, zero talent and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that that's possible. We'll of course, continue to cover the ongoing changes in late night television. Stay tuned. Just don't expect to see Jimmy Kimmel Live anytime soon. That's a quick check of your headlines. I'll have more headlines coming your way in just a little bit. But now let's get a quick check of your nationwide forecast from Weather Nation meteorologist Adrian Hernandez. Adrian, good morning, my brother. How are you?
Bobby Charles
I'm doing great. Terrence and a lot of people across the country are going to be dealing with some soggy conditions to start things out. And it's all going to be associated with this frontal boundary. We're going to have storms out in the plains and then a cool down in effect for the Northeast later on in the week, mainly towards the weekend and the start of next week, but headed on over to California. We actually have tropical moisture getting inundated to some of these areas like Los Angeles and San Diego and further north. This is the remnants of Tropical Storm Mario that is mainly inundated portions of southern California. Actually LA hasn't seen rain in over 100 days. So it's much needed rainfall that they got and they got a good amount as well. This is the last three hours and this is tropical moisture. So you see some lightning and darker colors associated with it. And the excessive rainfall categories will reflect that as well. This is a level 2 out of 4 risk. There's a whole lot of rain getting inundated in these areas. And then elsewhere, like I was mentioning, rainfall expected for the Northern Plains as that front continues to move off towards the east, the percentage of normal is actually staying two to three times the actual average based on the climatological data for this time of year. So they're in for a bit of a soggy start to their weekend. And the excessive rainfall outlook will also reflect that as we go into the next couple days, Thursday, Friday and into Saturday, where things get a little bit more soggy, a little bit further down to the south, but again still associated with the front. Rainfall in Florida, definitely South Florida, sticking around that mark and not going anywhere anytime soon. And as we go into the weekend, a front will pass by bringing us down. Some high pressure, some cool Canadian air will move in behind that front, giving us better temperatures well into the next week. 68 degrees for your high. Saturday out in Boston, out in the big city getting down to 69 out on Sunday. That's a better look at your forecast across the nation. Back to you, Terrance.
Terrence Bates
Thanks so much, Adrian. Adrian, appreciate it. All right, let's get you over to David now. Good morning, David.
David Brody
Good morning. Okay, we are awaiting President Trump's press conference from the UK we're told 9:20 Eastern. We'll see. It's a historic visit. He got an over the top reception from King Charles. He loved that. Parliament and the British people highlights it all. Highlights the strength of the US UK alliance and shows Trump carrying America's flag of freedom on the world stage. Let's join. I say join. Why don't we bring in Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson to American sunrise. Senator, great to see you. So how significant is this moment? I mean, what does it say about America's leadership under President Trump? Once again, a very successful overseas trip, sir. Good morning.
Steve Gruber
Good morning. Well, I think you termed him a multitasker. I think that's understanding the, you know, the energy he brings to his job. You know, he entered office with all these enormous messes that the Democrats and Biden left for him. The open borders, you know, the remnants of 40 year high inflation, all the wars. And what President Trump is just doing is, you know, things he's, he's addressing issues that nobody else would address, things that had to be addressed. But here's just one instance of, you know, his ability to build and create things. And he recognizes how special our relationship is with the uk, which is why he has the second trip. UK understands the same thing. So this is a very positive sign. I applaud his efforts and you know, the UK's leadership as well.
Dr. Gina
Senator Johnson, shifting gears now, at a recent Senate Homeland Security hearing on vaccines, you said this.
Steve Gruber
What would you think if you were a parent, perfectly healthy child talking, developing great vaccine. What do you say to those parents? Are they just making it up? Because I get that's what's being denied. That's what I've seen as I've gotten involved in this, starting with the COVID injection injuries. They're still being denied because nobody wants to have to deal with it. Nobody wants to admit they're wrong. If you're a doctor and you suggested that injection or these vaccines, you don't want to admit that maybe that wasn't right for that person.
Dr. Gina
Senator, you've warned about vaccine safety for years while the media ignored and attacked you. Many of us have been in that exact same predicament. Do you think Americans are finally seeing the truth? Do you think the needle is finally moving the right direction?
Steve Gruber
I think it is. And really All I'm asking, all the vaccine injured are asking is please have an open mind. We want to be seen, we want to be heard, we want to be helped. Without the medical establishment, without a federal health agencies, without pharmaceutical companies admitting that these drugs or these vaccines do cause harm, these people have no hope. And that's, you know, in my previous hearings, we've had a COVID injection injured doctor. Just saying, we just feel abandoned. So, no, I think I give President Trump a great deal of credit setting aside political differences, Bobby Kennedy a great deal of credit setting aside political differences, finding an area of agreement, addressing the explosion in chronic illness, in autism, in trying to find the root cause, and in doing so, taking the first step to find the root cause, which is return integrity and credibility to science. Science has been corrupted. People have to recognize that when you pay for science, you get the result you want. Big Pharma's been paying for it. People like Anthony Fauci has been paying for it, and it's been corrupted. We need to restore that credibility. And that's Bobby Kennedy's got a big task. He's got a lot of resistance inside these agencies. These are also the people that will never admit they are wrong. They have to be replaced by people with an open mind.
Terrence Bates
Senator Johnson, I've got somewhat of a philosophical question for you. It seems to me that we're at this inflection point in our country at the moment, culturally. I'd like to get your thoughts on where we stand in that respect. But also I think the bigger picture is what you see as the biggest threat to our current values, to our values as a country at this very moment, given the last, say, week and a half, I think highlighted by the murder of Charlie Kirk.
Steve Gruber
Well, listen, I'm a fiscal hawk. I ran in 2010 partly the tea Party, saying that we were mortgage our children's future. It's wrong, it's immorals. That's always been my main reason I'm here. But for the last few years, I've been saying that the greatest threat to this nation is our horrible political divide. And that's why again, I praise Bobby Kennedy and President Trump. Setting aside differences, coming together and demonstrating how by focusing on area of agreement, you can show America how to heal and unify this nation. I think what the Democrats were pushing, the biological males in sports and locker rooms and private spaces, transgenderism, the mutilation of children, all these things most Americans do not agree with. But the media propped them up. They normalized that. I think the election of Donald Trump sort of busted that and now people have an open eyes and then you throw on top of it the tragedy of the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I woke up that morning, the next morning, you know, looking, you know, thinking about a human frailty. We truly do not appreciate what we've got until it's gone. And yeah, we thought Charlie Kirk would be around a long time. You know, his influence would be there for decades. Now that he's a martyr and he is a martyr, I think his influence might even grow. And that's what we're seeing. So it is a turning point. So it's interesting that that that's the name of his organization. But his assassination is a tipping point. It's a turning point and it's in juxtaposition of after the death of George Floyd, where you saw the riots. What we saw in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's assassination are prayer vigils. I think that pretty well says it all.
David Brody
Yeah, for sure. We want people to go to church. That that's really what we wanted people to do. Senator Johnson, got 30 seconds or so. And this is related to obviously to what's going on with the Charlie Kirk investigation, but the President has declared Antifa a domestic terrorist organization. Want to get your thoughts. We got about 30 seconds or so, sir.
Steve Gruber
Don't agree that who's paying for the buses, the truck and the protesters? Who's paying for the vans that have that unload gas masks and shields to turn those protests into riots? Those people need to be investigated. It's not going to be a Z task. There's going to be a lot of cutouts in between. But those are. That's a very legitimate investigation on the part of this administration.
David Brody
We know you will follow the money for sure. Senator Johnson, thanks for joining us this morning. We appreciate it.
Terrence Bates
Thanks.
David Brody
All right, you as well. Coming up, when inflation jumps, when you hear the national Debt is over $37 trillion, do you ever think, I don't know, maybe now would be a good time to buy some gold? Whether as a hedge against inflation, peace of mind during global instability, or just for sensible diversification. Birch Gold Group. The Birch Gold Group believes every American should own physical gold. And so they created something special. Until September 30th. If you are a first time gold buyer, Birch Gold is going to offer a rebate of up to $10,000 in free metals on qualifying purchases. To claim eligibility and start the process, what you do is you request an info kit. Now this is how you do it. You take text America to 9-89898. I'll say it slow. Joe Biden. Never mind. Plus, Birch Gold can help you roll an existing IRA or a 401K into an IRA in gold. And by the way, you're still eligible for a rebate in free metals of up to, let's say together, 10,000 bucks. Birch Gold is the only precious metals company that I trust, as do their tens of thousands of customers. So make right now your first time to buy gold and take advantage of a rebate of up to $10,000 when you buy by September 30th. Text America to 989-898. I said it's slower for Joe in case he's listening. I'm sure he's not. More American Sunrise after the break, Checkers uk, where the president, President Trump about to hold a press conference. We're going to bring it to you when it happens. Welcome back, everybody, to American Sunrise. I'm David Brody. The solemn music because we're going to talk about obviously what happened to Charlie Kirk. I recently had the chance to sit down with Charlie Kirk's pastor, Rob McCoy for a wide ranging interview. Pastor McCoy, by the way, also co chair of TPUSA Faith. Charlie and Rob developed a very close bond and Charlie actually asked Rob McCoy to be his personal pastor. Here he is reflecting on that and getting emotional about it.
Bobby Charles
David, I have, I'm not an evangelist. I could do the work of an evangelist.
Steve Gruber
I'm obedient. I don't even know that I'm a really good pastor.
Bobby Charles
I've pastored and shepherded a church for 25 years. But I've always joked, and it's slightly.
Steve Gruber
True, I have the gift of preaching.
Bobby Charles
A church down to a manageable size.
Terrence Bates
Now.
Steve Gruber
Now, why in the world did Charlie.
Bobby Charles
Pick me as his pastor? I was the first church that he was invited to to come and speak. And I encouraged him to put his faith into everything he did and not to compartmentalize it for any reason. That's my claim to fame with Charlie.
Steve Gruber
But he was, he continued to call me his pastor and I was in Korea with him.
Bobby Charles
And this is what I said to him. Charlie, your stock has gone through the stratosphere since the election.
Steve Gruber
I see very little of you.
Bobby Charles
You don't have to keep calling me your pastor. You're loyal. I know we got history, but there's guys that you would benefit far more from having them. I mean, you got Jack Hibbs, you got Alan Jackson. I mean, I can go through a list of amazing men. And he said, Rob, not only Are you my pastor?
Steve Gruber
He said, you're America's pastor.
Bobby Charles
And I said, charlie, you're in the book of who's who. I'm in the book of who's he? You don't know what you're talking about. Doggone it if he wasn't right.
Steve Gruber
I may not be America's pastor today.
Bobby Charles
And after Sunday, I won't be.
Steve Gruber
But for 11 minutes in Glendale, Arizona, in front of 70,000 people and a.
Bobby Charles
Billion tuning in worldwide, I'm going to be the man he.
Steve Gruber
He wanted me to be.
Bobby Charles
And I'm going to be faithful, to present the gospel, to share with them that when they leave that building, they're not going to have Charlie Kirk's name on their lips. They're going to have Charlie Kirk's savior's name on their lips, which is what he always want.
David Brody
I mean, just from the heart. For reaction, let's bring in Dr. G and T. Bates. I know Pastor Romcoy. I've spoken at his church quite a few times. We are actually very close. Terrence. Quite, quite a remarkable, you know, what he was talking about was remarkable. And I must tell you, he actually said to me later in the interview, he said this could be the biggest altar call on Sunday that we've had in a very long time. This is. God is stirring. God is moving.
Keir Starmer
T. Bates.
Terrence Bates
David, it was a great interview. But the thing is, that struck me, my takeaway, and I think the takeaway from everyone should be the very end there. They're not going to just have Charlie Kirk's name on their lips. They're going to have Charlie Kirk saviors.
David Brody
That's right.
Terrence Bates
On their lips, period. Like at that point we could have played that one clip. And I think that encompasses what this is all about. This is about faith. And I appreciate pastor basically saying, look, I'm just a guy. You know, he is the guy. I'm just a guy. But he is a guy who is not just faithful, but faith filled. And I think that is critical. If we show in our everyday lives, and I think there's a message for each and every one of us in our everyday walk. If we just are faith filled in our everyday walk, that is something that permeates and radiates beyond us. I think people feel that and people are drawn to that. Dr. Gina.
Dr. Gina
You know, I really think it's just one of those moments where I really don't have anything to say. It was so beautiful. So succinctly said, David, drops of gold coming from that precious servant's tongue. And I just don't have anything to add other than it was just simply beautiful. Thank you for that, David.
David Brody
Short and sweet from Dr. G and perfectly said. All right, thanks, guys. Coming up, we are headed down to Wall street for the the opening bell. An insight into how to hold on to your hard earned dollars with some common sense. Back with more American Sunrise in two minutes.
President Donald Trump
Foreign.
Terrence Bates
Welcome back, everyone. You're looking at England there. This is Checker. England, that's how it's pronounced. President Trump is there with Keir Starmer, the British prime Minister. The two have been meeting all morning long. We are expecting a joint news conference with the two here in short order. They spoke together there and also did a signing just a little while ago. Once that happens, we of course will take you there live. In the meantime, let's get you over to New York for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's going to ring here in short order. So far, so good. All the major indices are in the green at the moment, even if just slightly. But I'd rather be slightly up than down, period. So we'll take you to New York for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange here in short order. Now skid you over to David, Brad Brody. David, good morning or cheerio. Say cheerio.
David Brody
Cheerio. I like to be slightly up rather than down emotionally as well. So thank you TBASE for that great reminder. All right, I'm monitoring the stock market. Oh, I'm going down. Oh, no, I'm crashing. All right, now time for our daily dose of dollars and common sense. And that means we're going to bring in American Sunrise early edition host, the guy behind Jake's take sub stack. What else does he do? Oh, I know. He bakes the best challah. Oh, sorry. I spit on myself. The best challah in New York. That would be Jake Novak. Jake leading with the challah. That's impressive. So let's forget the business stuff. Explain, explain the secret sauce here. What's, what's in the challah?
Bobby Charles
The challah, excuse me, I, I sweeten it. Alternately, I sweeten it with a little bit of honey or maple syrup depending on the mood that I'm in, whether I want a darker looking one or a lighter looking one. It's better than crack. Not that I've tried crack, but Hunter. Oh, get off the crack pipe and try my challah. I'm telling you, it'll change your life. Change your life.
David Brody
I did not have holla and crack in the same sentence this morning before the segment started so that is a wild card for sure. Okay, Elijah. I'm sure Elijah would like it. All right, let's talk about, sorry little Jewish humor. The business of the business aspect of all of the Jimmy Kimmel news. Right? Because you say this is essentially the unraveling of a financial enterprise. For those that don't know, obviously Jimmy Kimmel basically in essence canceled, at least for now. I mean, I don't see how they're bringing him back, but we'll see. Tell me about the financial aspect of all this, Jake.
Bobby Charles
Well, you know, the, the late night enterprise, which really exploded now, we knew that Johnny Carson dominated it. It was not like it was a new business in the 1990s. But when Johnny announced he was going to retire in 1992, there was this massive war. All the networks wanted to get in on it. And I was in college at the time, my senior year, and I couldn't believe the amount of money they were throwing at Letterman and Jay Leno and Arsenio. And then I found out, oh, late night audiences are 18 to 25, skewed a little bit, much, much more towards that age group. And, and that was the most valuable audience. It still is the most valuable audience. And so it sort of made sense to me, David. The late night show audiences haven't skewed that young in a very long time. They actually skew rescue older. There's been no reason for the kind of money that they've been spending on Kimmel and Colbert and Jimmy Fallon for a long time. It's one of the reasons why it's been pretty clear to me that they've been using them for other things, de facto lobbying in kind, contributions to Democrats, all the other kinds of things that the networks use some of their entities to try to raise money for their other entities that actually make money. In other words, they kiss the butts of the folks in D.C. who have their regulatory power over the profit making parts of their business. Well, this is unraveling now. Everyone sees it's just not worth it. There's too much of a loss. There's a loss leader and there's loss loser. And Jimmy Kimmel had become a lost loser well before he made these terrible comments.
David Brody
Yeah, I mean, these businesses might, these companies might as well just flush literal money down the toilet as they're, as they're going. All right, hey, that interest rate cut, we got it. Time to celebrate, right? Or am I wrong, Jake?
Bobby Charles
Well, you know, Jerome Powell cuts the rates, but then he goes in his news conference and talks about like Well, I still want to go really slow. And that really angered a lot of the folks on Wall street yesterday. They were hoping for some more optimistic talk about getting more rates cut. Now, I think what's happening this morning is that the markets are looking at it and saying, hey, wait a minute, Jerome Powell is going to be out of a job by may, maybe sooner. And some of these guys who are going to come in and replace him, they're going to be more aggressive. So they're being a little bit more bullish this morning. That's what's going on now.
David Brody
Yeah. Quarter point, by the way. It's what you expected, what everybody expected, right? So do we expect the markets actually then to maybe do well here or. It's hard to say based on what you just said and some of Pal's comments. What's your. You got a crystal ball, Little J. Crystal ball. We got 10, 15 seconds.
Bobby Charles
Yeah. It looked like the Dow is going to open huge higher this morning. I don't think that's going to happen now. I think it's going to be more flat. But it did make a nice gain yesterday. What we're going to see today, David, is the tech sector rising and that's got nothing to do with the Fed. That's because Nvidia is investing $5 billion in intel and any and that's pushing up Nvidia shares and intel shares. So it's going to be the tech sector that's going to move the markets this morning. The answer is, though, still up. Still up, but for another reason.
David Brody
Gotcha. All right, Jake, great to have you. Thank you, sir. Get back to holla. Making time for T. Bates in Denver through the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
Steve Gruber
Sponsored by amac, the association of Mature American Citizens is the conservative voice for Americans 50 and older. AMAC is fighting for the values that you hold dear. Join today together we can write the course of America.
Terrence Bates
No, Hunter, the challah isn't like crack and it's not better than crack. He was speaking euphemistically. He didn't mean. I got to get back to him.
Steve Gruber
Sorry.
Terrence Bates
Hunter on the line. He heard crack and of course went crazy. Anyway, folks, for getting ready for the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. It's set to ring here in short order. We're also keeping an eye on Chequer, England, where President Trump and Prime Minister Keir Starmer expected to speak here in short order. You see it here. This is a live look. The two of them gathering with the first ladies of Their respective countries will, of course, take you here momentarily. Again, you just heard the applause there on Wall street, which means we're getting ready for the opening bell. It's ringing as we speak. The markets are now officially open and generally everything looking pretty good in the positive. Some of the news and the markets may respond to some of the economic news that was just announced in England. President Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer just signing an agreement probably about an hour ago or so to give a pretty significant economic boost to the Brits. So that's very likely going to impact our markets. The Dow is now flat, so it's in the red. But the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ are all up. Oil is also up at the moment. So again, we'll continue to watch all of this. Again, we'll also take you here to Chequer, England the moment the president and prime minister take the podium and speak. In the meantime, if you're stressed about back tax taxes, maybe you missed the April deadline or your books are a mess, you definitely don't want to wait. Take the pressure off and let Tax Network USA handle your tax issues for you. Again, you're taking a live look at President Trump and Prime Minister Keir Starm of England. They are meeting with the first Ladies there. We're expecting expecting a news conference to happen here in short order. Let's bring in Steve Gruber though, as we wait for all of that to happen. Stevie G. Always good to see you. I'm sure, like we have Here you've been watching the President's interaction again on the international stage. In this particular case, it's exclusive to England. What do you make of the deals that he's been able to make there with England? But I guess the bigger picture is his posture, how he is taking control of. Of situations, including there in England.
Steve Gruber
Well, let's start with what was so remarkable to me yesterday. And I saw comments from Piers Morgan, who would know certainly more about English receptions and so forth than I would. He says he's never seen anything like it. It was a remarkable procession yesterday. The carriages, the horses, the bands, the review of the bands, the military. I mean, it was spectacular. And I'm not one of these guys that it fawns over the English royalty like my friend Jake Novak. I'm not quite like that. But the point of the fact is that. Oh, I'm sorry, did I say that out loud? Jake, I love you.
David Brody
You have a mic on. You have a mic on. Steve.
Steve Gruber
Yeah. The fact of the matter is this. Donald Trump was treated with tremendous respect. And that respect was. I mean, it was remarkable. If you saw the procession, then you saw the dinner, 4,000 in place settings, pieces in the place. Terence. I've never seen anything like it. I don't think the world is anything like. It's a respect for Donald Trump and for this country and the way he's holding himself on the world stage, walking and talking with the King, walking and talking with Keir Starmer, doing all the things to promote American relations with the UK and to enhance, as you pointed out, great trade deals. When it comes to high tech, when it comes to development, developing great products, when it comes to developing the future, together with Great Britain, with England, with the uk, I think it's tremendous. And I think that we should be proud as Americans that we are in a place where Donald Trump is so well received.
David Brody
And this is not going to be like other commander in Chiefs, you know, like, this is different because it seems to me, and I'd like to get your take on this, Steve. President Trump, we talk about MAGA all the time. But, you know, let's talk about Brexit. Let's talk about what's going on. So many of the other countries around the world, he's literally started a movement not just in America. We care about America, obviously, but it is touching all across the world. And this is the ultimate respect to say, wow, this guy has made a difference. And it's historical.
Steve Gruber
It is. And none of this can be discussed without the context of the Assassination of Charlie Kirk. That's where we are. I believe that the left. Look, Jimmy Kimmel. I saw a post today describe Jimmy Kimmel in one word. I did. Unemployed. I think that the fact of the matter is that the world has changed. We have seen it, we're sick and tired of it. And this is true not just in the United States. It's true in the uk, it's true in France, it's true in Italy, it's true in Spain. You go around the world and see these protesters are filling the streets, plus people gathering to honor Charlie Kirk and so forth. The world has changed. Donald Trump brought that change. Charlie Kirk helped galvanize that change. And the world is different today than it was on 10 September at 12:23 local time. It is different today. This demand of freedom, this demand of secure borders, this demand of liberty, this demand of free speech. And let's focus on that for a moment. The UK has people getting arrested at 3 o' clock in the morning for posts on Facebook. The police show pound on the door and arrest them for posts on Facebook. That is absolutely unbelievable because they might have offended somebody. Now people can say, well, Gruber, what about the free speech of Jimmy Kimmel? Look, if you have a show that's losing money because you've offended 50%, 60% of your audience, which is what has happened, that's why these shows, shows are going away. They've offended everybody. They're not funny, they're offensive and nobody watches them. It's a business model that's failing. And news flash to the folks @ CNN and MS, whatever the hell they're going to call it next, you're going to be losing your jobs too, because you also are part of a failing business model. You've been dishonest. Oh, we don't know what the motive is. You don't. It's weird because the prosecutor laid it out point by point, what the motive was. And yet you're still out there on television saying, we don't know what the motive is. They did that on CBS News two days ago. They did it on CNN. Yesterday. Ted Cruz had to set the record straight with Kaitlan Collins again. What do you mean you don't know what the motive is? I'm sure you guys saw that video. It's remarkable. Look, the world has changed. Donald Trump is being treated the way he should be as president United States. We're treating people that are, are ghouls, frankly, the way they should be. We're not silencing. You're Free to say whatever you want. But if I said certain things on this network, I'd be unemployed. Rightfully so. If you use in certain phrases and make fun of certain things, you get unemployed. Free speech has consequences, and that's obviously from what happened to Charlie Kirk. Free speech has consequences, but I'll defend it every step of the way. But that doesn't mean you get to keep your job. It doesn't mean you get to offend people without. Without consequence, because, you know, it has responsibilities for speech. It has.
Dr. Gina
I think you make such an important point here, Steve, that I just want to punctuate it. In Great Britain, you can be arrested at 3 in the morning, as you said, for something you posted on Facebook. In America, you shouldn't be. In America, government has no role like that. In America, many patriots were arrested for what they said and did for, you know, trying to warn young women going into abortion clinics what they were really doing to their babies, things like that. People were arrested for their free speech under a Joe Biden administration, but that should never be the case in a free country. There's a difference between the private sector, AKA Jimmy Kimmel's situation, and the government doing it. And I think that that's so important we can never confuse those two things. I never want to ever infringe on our First Amendment right.
David Brody
Should we send this clip to Pam Bondi? I'm just, just asking for a friend.
Steve Gruber
You might. Speaking of unemployed or should be. Let me just say this. In the hearings yesterday, I. I said it. I'm not a supporter of Pam Bondi at this point. If you believe that your mic is still on, and I'm glad that it is. If Pam Bonnie is going to go out there and advocate against free speech, I. I cannot support that. Okay. But let's talk about the 92 organizations that were investigated by the administration, the previous administration, including Turning Point usa, including Catholics, including parents at the Parent Teacher Association. I mean, come on. This is the government investigating people for. Again, as you put it, Dr. G, free speech. This is not acceptable in America. You can't pound on my door at three in the morning and arrest me because I posted something on social media. You can't pound on my door and arrest me because I'm a Catholic who stood up for my daughter at a school board meeting. This is not how it's supposed to work. And so that's why it's really important to look at what's happening in the uk especially because they seem to be the most egregious violators of free speech and free thought right now. Do not let that happen here. Do not let that happen here. Now, if you get tossed out of your job because you say hateful things, that's a private sector decision, like you pointed out, Dr. G. And that's really important to me. Gina.
Dr. Gina
I knew it was.
Terrence Bates
Hey, you brought up Pam Bondi. So I'm going to follow you down that road a little bit, even though I'm going to make a right, just a slight right. And that would be the House Oversight Committee. Their hearing yesterday involved involving Cash Patel. As you could imagine, it got pretty testy. Specifically when it came to the handling of the FBI's Charlie Kirk assassination investigation. Here's just part of that.
Bobby Charles
We have released where President Trump did.
Steve Gruber
You tell the attorney general that the president's name is in the Epstein files? During many conversations that the attorney general.
Terrence Bates
And I have had on the matter.
Bobby Charles
Of Epstein, we have reviewed.
Steve Gruber
The question is simple. Who can tell the attorney General that Donald Trump's name is in the Epstein files? Yes or no? Why don't you try spelling it out?
David Brody
Yes or no?
Steve Gruber
Direct use the Alphabet, yes or no? No.
Bobby Charles
ABC Director, it sounds like you don't.
Steve Gruber
Want to tell us. Did you tell the attorney General that Donald Trump's name was in the Epstein files?
Bobby Charles
Why don't you try serving your constituency.
Terrence Bates
By focusing on reducing violent crime in this country and the number of pedophiles.
Bobby Charles
That are legally sanctuary cities in California? I'll work with you on that.
Terrence Bates
All right, Steve, so that wasn't the actual clip that I wanted to play, but I think you still get of. Yeah, because that was good as well. Right. You still get a sense of the kind of face off that happened between Director Patel and some of the Democrat members on, on that panel. And it's really been like that all week long, even in the sense Senate hears.
Steve Gruber
Yeah. This is why so many people are just exhausted with the House, for example, or the Senate. They call a hearing to ask questions of somebody. Do they ask questions?
Terrence Bates
No.
Steve Gruber
They give speeches, they pontificate. They sit up there and they get carried away with their histrionics and their gesturing because they want clicks and they want to fundraise, which, by the way, Cash pointed out to them all. You're trying to fundraise, you're trying to get clicks. You just want to try to get some clickbait. And he's right about all of it. And he's also right about calling out Eric Swalwell and his entire BS career in politics. I happen to agree with that point of view, too. And I applaud Cash Patel for not sitting there and taking, like, so many people get in there. Just sit there and take it. Listen to the speeches. No. He said, no, we're not doing this anymore. We're not. We're not boring the American people with your political grandstanding anymore. You know, if you want to ask me a question, ask me a question. Which he answered, by the way. We've released everything from that's legal, that's allowed to be released. We've released every document that's legal and allowed to be released. He repeated. And this guy just kept going because he's a clown. Of course. Nobody ever asked him about, you know, sleeping with the enemy, literally. With communists, literally. And so I think the Cash Patel should be applauded for standing up to these. To these people who just want their name and lives, who just want to get, you know, a million views on Twitter or whatever. Right. I think he held himself well.
Bobby Charles
It was.
Steve Gruber
It was different, thank God, than all these other things where they just get up there and talk about themselves and Grant. I reclaimed my time, David. Don't cut me off. I reclaim my time. I reclaim my time.
David Brody
That was nicely played. Nicely played, Stevie G. As T. Bates would call you. All right, but here's my question. Cash Patel. I mean, that thing, it wasn't just heated. I mean, that was just like, you know, that was off the rails. So my question. Question is, do you think that would have been the case if the assassination of Charlie Kirk did not happen? Do you think that was. That seemed like a timing thing as well, Like. Like the emotions are raw right now. Steve, what do you think?
Steve Gruber
Well, yes, I do think so. I think. I think that the Democrat. The Democrats are especially badly behaved. That's fine. But Jasmine Cronkiten, you are the least qualified. I had to go. Look, you're the only person ever run the FBI that didn't work at the FBI. Really? Did J. Edgar Hoover work at the FBI? No, of course not. It didn't exist before then. So she's wrong, and he points out she's completely wrong, and that what she's saying is completely erroneous. I believe if we. Look, J. Edgar Hoover was 29 years old when he took over the FBI and completely unqualified to have that kind of power, which we found out because he abused that power time and time again. Cash Patel answered the question correctly, which is, I'm here to try to protect the American. American people. I'm here to look out for the safety of the American people. And that is correct. As far as the rest of it goes, I don't know if the Charlie Kirk assassination had anything to do with it, because I think that the Democrats like Swalwell and Crockett would have been just as off the rails as they are every day. I mean, this wasn't a particularly interesting performance by either one of them. They're off the rails every day. And that's why Americans, decent Americans, looked at these people, not those two specifically, but people teachers, professors, nurses, doctors, dancing on the grave of Charlie Kirk and said, man, I want nothing to do with that. I am repulsed by that behavior. All decent people are repulsed by that behavior. You don't dance on the grave of a 31 year old father of two young children who's left a widow behind. You don't make jokes about it on late night television. Hassan, Decorum. Have you no decency? Is what I would say to these people. That's, that's what they like. Have you no decency? And the answer has been pretty clear. They've, they've showed you how decent they are time and again. And America, decent Americans that don't consume politics and political conversation all the time, decent Americans that are going to work right now, that have more important things to do than be keyboard warriors, they reject it. I say it again. The left lost the argument permanently on the 10th of September 2025.
Dr. Gina
Steve, you know, you listen to this exchange and can't stand Swalwell. But at the same time, he knows that there are people out there who still do have questions about Epstein, and he seized on that. But coming from Crazyfornia, he really has no credibility whatsoever. And California is the first one who passed this legalization of human remains composting. New Jersey followed suit. I'm headed to New Jersey this weekend and I got the article yesterday and it just shocked me. Is this something you think we'll see spread across the country, this idea of human composting? And what does that say about where we are in our culture?
Steve Gruber
I'm more concerned about euthanasia, you know, oh, I don't feel well. Like they've done in Canada. I'll be honest with you. Oh, I've got depression. Well, then you can go off yourself. You know, I don't feel right today. Well, then you can go off yourself. You know, states like Oregon and Washington pursuing those sorts of policies and laws so that people can basically have legalized suicide because they don't feel right or they're depressed or they've got a hangnail that concerns me more human composting. I hope that I'm able to die on a mountainside somewhere. Dr. G. And I feed the world. I mean about fair to feed the world. I don't know. I think it's strange. I don't think it's going to be the norm. But then again if you go back 10 or 20 years and you say well that's weird, nobody would ever buy into that and then look around today and go my God, they bought into all of that nonsense.
Dr. Gina
That's it. The slippery old slope that we always have warned about as conservative. Steve Gruber. We've always said this is a slippery slope. And he's like, oh, you're a conspiracy theorist and. And then you just watch us slide right down into oblivion. Steve Gruber, always fun and interesting to have you on. Thanks for being with us.
Steve Gruber
Thanks guys.
Dr. Gina
Two Clemson professors were fired after celebrating Charlie Kirk's assassination. There's a story too sickening to ignore. That is next as American Sunrise continues.
Steve Gruber
Let's spill some tea.
Terrence Bates
Let's Spill Some Tea is fueled by Artillery Tea Company. It is the only America first veteran owned television tea brand and their mission is to maximize flavor with whole leaf blends and chemical free tea bags. There's no junk, just real tea. The tactical advantage, you ask? Well, it's that each bag brews not just once but twice. So go over to artillerytco.com and use the code LIBERTY for 20% off of your first order. That's artillerytco.com use the code LIBERTY and get yourself some some premium tea that's mission driven and brewed for the brave there at the bottom of your screen. By the way folks, you see the press conference that's going to happen here in short order over in Chequer, England. The moment it happens, we'll take you there live. President Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will be sharing dueling podiums. Or not dueling in this case, but they'll be sharing podiums. And again, we'll take you there live the moment each of them takes the podium so you can hear what they have to say. In the meantime, let's spill some tea and in the cup. Today, professors at Clemson University posting sick celebratory comments about Charlie Kirk's assassination and now they are out of a job. Multiple professors at Clemson have been fired after posting a pouring comments celebrating Charlie Kirk's death. Students and parents called for action and they got it. It. The posts were public, vile and impossible to ignore. And this isn't just unprofessional, it is unhinged in Clemson. Well, a lot of people agreeing that the university did the right thing. So let's bring in Gene and Dr. David to talk to Gene and Dr. David. Let's bring in Doc David to talk.
Bobby Charles
I'll take it.
David Brody
That's an upgrade. I'll take it.
Dr. Gina
I give you an honorary David from the University of Rock, a doctor of gobbledygook.
Terrence Bates
We lost Dr. Gina. Go ahead, doctor. Let's start the conversation here because there's been a lot of talk about First Amendment rights and people saying things, even if they're abhorrent, even if we disagree with them, even if we consider that they are in poor taste, but they have the right to say them. And Steve just said a little while ago, and I think there is a point that to be made here that just because you say it doesn't mean that people don't have a right to push back and that independent entities don't have a right to fire you from your job for it.
Dr. Gina
100%. The one place I grapple with myself, and I'm just going to be really honest with you and our audience, is I have trouble with burning the flag. I really have trouble with burning the flag. I'm not sure I don't like the idea of some sort of penalty for that. I don't think that's a form of free speech that we need because it's just too emblematic of our precious soldiers that have died throughout our history. David, I'd love your opinion on that, by the way, but also, I'm afraid to ever touch the First Amendment in any way, shape or form because once you open that, you know, I fear what else someone could decide to be morally righteous about? And look, that's what happened in Great Britain and now, and not just great in Britain, by the way, this is happening all over Europe. I think we should note that I have friends in Germany that have told me the horrific you cannot say things and they will monitor you. And if they catch you on some mic somewhere, some hidden microphone in a grocery store talking about something you're not supposed to be talking about, guess what? They'll come for you. Those are scary things that should never be permitted in the US and imagine with AI now, they can show you doing things you didn't do. They can make you say things you didn't say. Very scary, David.
David Brody
Well, a couple things real quick. I agree with Eugene on the flag burning and of course, the way to do that Is you. You somehow get a constitutional amendment passed. Not easy, for sure. Maybe a convention of states, something along those lines. And Terence, your point, when you said Steve had a point. I think it's more than a point. I was a matter of fact. I know it's more than a point. In other words, literally, this is not a First Amendment issue. This is employment and contract law. Yes, a private employer can fire someone for doing something stupid under their purview. It's just that simple. And so that. That is a private issue. This has nothing to do with the First Amendment. And not that we're getting sucked into that, but we need to make it very clear that this is. The left. Is going to say First Amendment. How dare you. You. It's not. Has nothing to do with the First Amendment. Jimmy Kimmel has nothing to do with the First Amendment. This is ABC saying, no, you said something stupid. You could have gotten a sued, you might still get a suit, your butts fired.
Dr. Gina
And he has every right to continue to say the stupid things that he's saying. He can. He can film himself and post it all over social media if he wants to. But that doesn't mean his employer has to keep him, correct?
Terrence Bates
No, absolutely. And I mean, most employers, particularly in this industry, will tell you that anything you say as an employee could reflect on the views of the employer. And so you need to be careful. And in Jimmy Kimmel's case in particular, that seems like it's at least part of the conversation.
Dr. Gina
And also, it's not funny. I'm sorry. I just wanted to get that in there. He's not funny. That's not funny. His job is to be funny. Right? Your job is to be a newscaster. If you come on here and start spraying perfume all over yourself and advertising your perfume, that's not your job. His job is to be funny. He isn't.
David Brody
Yeah, I will not do that, by the way.
Terrence Bates
All right, we'll have to leave that conversation for the time we have more American Sunrise coming your way here after the break. While some universities disagree themselves, one Florida school is actually standing tall, literally, to honor Charlie Kirk and his legacy. Will have that treatment ahead.
Dr. Gina
All right, welcome back to American sunrise. I'm Dr. Gina. Thank you for joining us today, the Daily Wire stepping up to help Turning Point USA during this tragic time after Charlie Kirk's assassination and donated contributing $1 million to the cause. Take a look.
Bobby Charles
I know we at Daily Wire, we trust you at TPUSA to do it. I mean, that's really the answer. We're willing to provide. And we are providing any level of material support, any level of support on the program, boots on the ground, helping you to do what Charlie would have wanted to be done here. And I think that the reason that everybody trusted Charlie and the reason we're all mourning Charlie is because nobody did it better. You spelled out two of Charlie's goals. He said, you know, he wanted to bring people back to Christ and bring people back to church and back to biblical values, and he wanted to keep the MAGA coalition together and expand it. And expand it. And the question is how you do that. And the answer is you focus on the first and the second is a byproduct.
Dr. Gina
Also, a college in Florida is going to honor Charlie with a statue. New College of Florida made the announcement on X. The statue, privately funded by the community leaders, by the way, not by any taxpayer dollars, will stand on campus, on the campus as a commitment by New College to defend and fight for free speech and civil discourse in American life. The school says the location will be unveiled at a later date. Also, finally, Charlie's widow, Erica, posted a touching tribute on Instagram. Here's part of the message. She said, this is one of the last photos taken of you before you were murdered. I look at it and I can't help but see excellence. You're in your element. You're in athlete mode, training for this exact moment. Mind, body and soul. Anyway, very beautiful, permanently etched in time, held in my heart. She said, as I admire your greatness forever. Just beautiful. Thank you all for joining us today.
