America's Voice Live starts now.
Steve Gruber
Welcome to America's Voice Live. I'm Steve Gruber. It is Tuesday the 14th of April, the year of our Lord 2026. Let's get into the day's top stories. As always, thank you for spending time with us here in Real America's Voice. We truly appreciate seeing you again today. The House of Representatives reconvening tonight to vote on a DHS funding bill that would end the partial government shutdown that's going on for weeks now. This comes on the heels of multiple sexual assault allegations toward members of Congress. We've got a lot to sort out with Congressman Mark Harris joining the conversation in a moment. Also, Turning Point USA will hold there. This is the Turning Point tour live at the University of Georgia Vice President J.D. vance. We're making an appearance. I'll bring on Brian Glenn to give us the preview. And then later, Zoran Mamdani's first 100 days as mayor elect and mayor in New York have come and gone without most of the legacy. Media sources would have you believe it's all sunshine and rainbows, but the reality is much darker. But first, we start here the US Blockade of Iran's ports and a partial blockade of the state of Hormuz. It's in effect now for more than a day. It's prevented Iranian oil tankers already from passing through the straits. It's effective. It started yesterday morning in response to Iran's refusal to reach a peace agreement and give up its nuclear ambitions or really discuss anything with any seriousness. But they are learning the financial penalty that's going along with this more than $400 million a day they're losing. As it stands, the current ceasefire expires next week, so the clock is running. But President Trump isn't standing idly by. Even during the peace discussions, the US Made a show of force that proves who really has the upper hand here. Let me explain. Iran's been trying to move shipping routes to the Persian Gulf further to the east so that carriers would be forced to pay a toll. Attacks, really near Lay Rock Island. The IRGC has warned boats that any other route further west is littered with mines that will blow anyone else who tries to get through there to pieces. Well, during those peace talks, two US Naval destroyers went right through the western route. It's huge. They found nothing. Those destroyers are capable of searching for and destroying mines. And now the rest of the world knows that either the route is not nearly as dangerous as Iran has been saying, or with the help of our military, anyone can pass through whether there are mines or not. And after a brief spike in prices, oil has now all the way down to $91. As we sit here today and now on top of that, we're running a blockade against Iran. President Trump says that Iran will not be allowed to export anything and extort the world at all. Here's what he said.
Donald Trump
We can't let a country blackmail or extort the world because that's what they're doing. They're really blackmailing the world. We're not going to let that happen. And you know, the amazing thing is we don't. Can you believe this? We don't use this trade. We don't need this trade. We have our own oil, gas, much more than we need. We have more oil and gas in Saudi Arabia. Think of this. We produce more Saudi Arabia and add Russia to it, substantially more. And by next year we'll have double that amount. So we don't need it, but the world needs it. And many ships are heading to our country right now as we speak to load up with the best. Really? I guess you could say somebody said the best and sweetest. I don't know exactly what sweet is, but when it relates to oil, it's a good thing. But they're coming to our country right now. There are many boats coming to our country now. It could very well be. This is going to be settled before that.
Steve Gruber
And check this out. A ship tracking firm now reporting that at least 121 empty oil takers are on their way to the United States to put money in our coffers in exchange for American oil. And 68 of those tankers can carry 2 million barrels or more. It sounds like the rest of the world listened to President Trump when he said to them, come on over if they didn't like dealing with a hostile Islamic regime. The greatest US Presidents have always made it very clear that we do not negotiate with terrorists. In the words of Ronald Reagan. Here's a history lesson for you, all right? Back in the early 1800s, Thomas Jefferson stared down the Barbary pirates out of Tripoli. Muslim Corsairs from what's now Libya who were hijacking American merchant ships, looting cargo and yes, enslaving our sailors. They had the nerve to tell Jefferson it was their religious right under Islam to do it unless America paid them tribute. Straight up protection money for safe passage on the high seas. Jefferson retorted by saying not one cent. Previous presidents had coughed up the money out of weakness, but not him. In 1801, he sent the United States Navy and the US Marines straight into the Mediterranean. They blocked Tripoli, bombarded their ports, and those leathernecks marched across the desert to capture Derna, the First time the American flag flew in victory on foreign soil. It wasn't some endless nation building quagmire. It was decisive force that ended the extortion for good on Tripoli's watch. And the message was crystal clear. America doesn't pay pirates, we kill them. Period. End of discussion. Fast forward to 2026 and the Mullahs in Tehran are pulling the exact same kind of racket in the Strait of Hormuz, the chokepoint that carries 20% of the world's oil. Iran's regime and their terrorist proxies mine the waters. At least they claim that seas tankers attack shipping and now demand illegal tolls and fees for safe passage. Pay up or your ships don't sail. It's piracy with a modern twist. State sponsored extortion dressed up in revolutionary Islamist garb, just like the Barbary thugs. And for years weak kneed Washington types. Obama with his cash pallets and nuke deal bribes, Biden with his half measures basically kept the tribute flowing through sanctions relief and quote unquote, diplomacy. But not President Trump. We're clearing their minds, sinking their fast attack boats and enforcing freedom of navigation with American steel and American resolve. And in true progressive fashion, Democrats are already lining up to shoot down Trump's decisive action. Of course, here's Democrat Congressman Adam Smith.
Congressman Adam Smith
I don't support this move. I think we should get to the negotiating table in the war and in the conflict. Look, we never had a realistic plan for eliminating the regime in Iran. That has always been the problem in this discussion, going back 15 years now, as we've dealt with they're trying to get a nuclear weapon, their ballistic missile program, their support for terrorism, all of those things were a problem. And yes, it was tempting to say, gosh, isn't there just one thing we can do to solve it? And everyone concluded no, because the military options weren't going to get you that fundamental regime change. Donald Trump ignored all of that, started this war and the chaos has resulted. So I think what we need to do is negotiate a settlement.
Steve Gruber
Negotiate a settlement. I got a question for you, Adam. Since you seem to be some kind of a military expert, how exactly do you propose we get Iran to the negotiating table if that's what you want to see so badly? Iran is not going to negotiate in any meaningful way if they think they hold all the cards by controlling the Strait of Hormuz. Congressman Smith and the rest of his colleagues don't have any answers or solutions, of course. They just like to make a fuss over everything and anything that President Trump does, even when it's something as common sense as opening back up the strait. And a CBS poll actually shows that this is another 8020 issue with Americans, CBS News. Here it is.
CBS News Poll Announcer
As for, you know, the aspirations, Americans broadly support them. 87% say Strait of Hormuz needs to be reopened. 81% want to ensure freedom for the Iranian people. 76% want to permanently stop Iran's nuclear program. 55% want the current leaders ousted before we end the war.
Steve Gruber
Let me go down the list. Check, check and check. That's what we're doing. Trump says it won't just be us ending the war. He told reporters yesterday that the several other nations are going to take part in the efforts, even though, according to him, we don't need their help. Many of our so called allies have shown the same kind of response that Democrats have. Sadly, they admit that the objectives of this war are good, like knocking down Iran's nuclear ambitions and getting the state of Hormuz out of that nation's control. But none of them want to be the ones that do the dirty work or the heavy lifting. They'll just let us do it like always and then condemn us for it like always. And Trump says he's not going to look past that either. Here he is.
Donald Trump
Well, they're coming up. They're going to be coming up, but I'm very disappointed in NATO. They didn't do that. They weren't there for us. We pay trillions of dollars for NATO and they weren't there for us. Remember what I said? NATO was not there. Now they want to come up, but there's no real threat anymore. But NATO was not there for us. We'll see what happens. But you know, we spent trillions of dollars on NATO's to help them guard really against Russia. When you think of it, we're guarding against Russia and I've long thought it was a little ridiculous, but we spent trillions of dollars doing it. And I think that's going to be under very serious examination.
Steve Gruber
Serious examination is right. The United States carries Approximately, get this, 70% of the total defense spending burden with NATO. 70%. We're also the ones doing all the heavy lifting every time. Trump's critics call him reckless and divisive for criticizing NATO. But our relationship with NATO is what's truly reckless anymore. Trump is using American power and tools that we have at our disposal, sanctions and the blockade to deliver the knockout blow. Congressman Mike Lawlor says that combination is going to be particularly devastating to the Islamic Republic here's what he said.
Congressman Mike Lawlor
When you take the sanctions, coupled with the administration's move to blockade the Strait of Hormuz and not allow Iran's oil to flow out, that is going to have a devastating impact on the Iranian regime and their ability to do much of anything. So the red lines that were outlined by the vice president are very clear. They are non negotiable. The fact is the highly enriched uranium does need to be removed from Iran. The Strait of Hormuz does need to be fully reopened without any Iranian tolls and ultimately their financing of terrorism must come to an end. These are clear red lines that I and many others have supported for years. And I think President Trump is the first president to actually take action and follow through on these red lines.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, this is the Jefferson Doctrine inaction. Pure unapologetic America. First Ronald Reagan said it best we don't negotiate with terrorists and now Trump lives it while the globalist left screams about escalation and international law. Funny how they never cared when Iran was the one doing the blockading or murdering its own citizens. Meanwhile, Trump is protecting American energy independence, our allies, economies and the principle that the world's most vital sea lanes belong to free commerce, not to some thug regime in Tehran. The Marines hymn still rings with to the Shores of Tripoli for a reason. Today it's the Strait of Hormuz and President Trump is writing the next verse. No more paying pirates, no more apologies. That's how you make America great again and keep the world from sliding back into barbarism. Well done. I support it. Oh, and by the way, Iran's now begging to get back to the to the negotiation table. I wonder why is it losing $400 million a day knowing that your oil, you can only store it for two weeks before your wells start to malfunction and die. Oh, that would be a problem. And that's the monologue coming up after the break. Members of Congress will return to Capitol Hill tonight where they will vote once again on DHS funding. This comes on the heels of two resignation from Congress, Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzalez. Congressman Mike Harris, Mark Harris, that is, will join me next to discuss it after this.

Seems like it's time for a new plan. The House and Senate back in full swing as Republicans work to pass a party line reconciliation bill aimed at restoring DHS funding ahead of the June 1 final deadline. However, Senate Majority Leader John Thune's proposal for DHS funding facing some resistance because the bill's narrow focus. So will Republicans come to an agreement to reopen the partial shutdown before the deadline set by President Trump? Join me to discuss this and so much more. Congressman Mark Harris from North Carolina. Congressman, nice to see you on this Tuesday.
Congressman Mark Harris
Great to see you Steve. Thanks for having me today.
Steve Gruber
Of course. Always good to talk to you my friend. Let's figure out, where are we going with this? I mean, I've lost track of how many days it is. It's been Weeks now there's been a partial shutdown of dhs, which includes, oh, the Coast Guard, fema, CISA and a whole bunch of other really kind of critical areas of the government. Where are we in the conversation?
Congressman Mark Harris
Well, Steve, you're exactly right. It has been just a really tragedy of gigantic proportion when you stop and see what the Democrats set off in their process of 100,000 employees at DHS, many of them going without paychecks. And then we started this game of ping pong where the Senate out of the blue comes out in the midst of 2am in the morning several weeks ago and passed this legislation on a unanimous consent. I think I understand there were four or five people on the floor at that time and they passed this thing that zeroed out Border Patrol and zeroed out ice and then sent that over with a promise and a prayer that somehow they were going to take care of that later. Well, that was dead on arrival. Speaker was extremely strong in his response and said we weren't going to do it. If you recall, we passed a bill again fully funding the Department of Homeland Security even as a continuing resolution, and sent it back to the Senate. Well, they were already on their vacation and so they could have, again with unanimous consent, had the opportunity to pass that bill and that would have been it could have gone to the President's desk, but they did not. So instead they burned some more time, sent us back a bill that was the same thing, zeroing out custom Border patrol and ice. And basically that's where we sit right now with the promise that they were going to do a reconciliation because they've just surrendered to the fact that they can't get Democrats to join them and, and they refused to end the filibuster. And so as a result, we are now watching them play out in the Senate where they're going to pass some form of a reconciliation 2.0 that will fund Border Patrol and fund ICE. They'll send that back to us. And for my money and for others like me, we can't see a universe where we will ever vote for something that zeros out Border Patrol and zeros out ice. Just not going to happen. So they're going to have to pass reconciliation first, send it to us. And at best maybe something happens simultaneously. But I got to tell you, it's not a perfect way to do it. There's a lot of people still concerned with this process and we're just going to see where it plays out.
Steve Gruber
Reconciliation can get it done if we can get ourselves on the same Page, and you're right, you shouldn't accept what you have just described. I don't think most Americans would accept that as being acceptable. We're not going to get rid of ICE or cbp. We're not. It's some sort of a leftist fantasy make believe ruse. We're not going to do that. So here's the other thing, Congressman, because I heard Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana put this forth weeks ago now. He said you can not only get this done, you can get the Save America act done on reconciliation as well. That would be the champion move. That would be the all star move. Take the Democrats out of the conversation and give the American people what they want. Fully funded government and elections they can trust. Why is this so hard to get your hands around for the Senate?
Congressman Mark Harris
Oh listen, that is a great question for the Senate. That may be the tremendous move that would save the embarrassment that the Senate has brought upon itself in the actions that they took earlier. So I, I would be strongly supportive of that. We're just going to have to see. I, I think we're frustrated that we're not seeing the Save America act as part of it. A lot of us are frustrated that we're burning a reconciliation bill on just this because of the way it's happening. There are a lot of things that need to happen with reconciliation. If we're just going to have to do this with all Republican votes and now we're going to invest this time and effort in doing this when it's something that should happen all along. And by the way, while they're at it, why don't they just pass a reconciliation bill that funds all of Department of Homeland Security at one time and send that back to us and forget all of these gains with sending something that funds part of DHS but doesn't fund ICE and Border Patrol. It's just a bunch of political gymnastics that the American people have said enough what you're suggesting. And Senator Kennedy mentioned if you put the Save America act on it, maybe it will save face for what has happened thus far and maybe we can rally the base to turn out at the midterms as we're desperately going to need them.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, that would make a lot of sense. All right, I need to shift gears now. Some of your colleagues announcing that they're going to leave Congress. Eric Swalwell went from being the front runner to be the next California governor to facing the possibility of real possibility of going to prison. More accusations coming out that he drugged and raped women. These accusations being made in New York and California. Meanwhile, Gonzalez of Texas had an inappropriate relationship with a staffer he admitted to, and now he's leaving. And then you got cheerfulis McCormick in Florida stealing $5 million, apparently. But it's all been out there. Now, it's interesting to me, the Democrats say, yes, we need to throw Swalwell out, but only if Gonzalez goes as well. You see? And when I hear that, what I hear is, well, we don't really care as long as we don't lose a vote, an extra vote. I mean, am I jaded? Because that's what I hear when they say, oh, we'll throw Swalwad out, but only if we throw a Republican out. Too little jaded. But what are your thoughts?
Congressman Mark Harris
You're not jaded at all. That's the unfortunate environment in which we are operating right now, and it is very unfortunate. The reality is that we have certain standards that members of Congress are expected to uphold and to live out. And when you see these standards being handled the way that we have seen them with Mr. Swalwell, and for that matter, with Tony Gonzalez. But the bottom line is that we have got to be willing to have these situations investigated. They deserve to be fully prosecuted if a crime has been committed. But we also, as members of Congress, have got to hold one another accountable. And so if there's an investigation done, we ought to be willing to have the courage to take the action to bring accountability. That is just absolutely crucial. And I'm grateful that these things are coming to light as they are.
Steve Gruber
Yeah. The question for me and for others is, okay, so Swalwell says he's going to resign when? That would be my question. Because, look, there's an avalanche of bad press here. And the other person that's really being tangled up in this is the senator from Arizona, Ruben Gallego. Say that again. Oh, okay. So I'm told that he did, in fact, did he resign today? Because if he did, a Mr.
Congressman Mark Harris
Program, it announces resignation, that it would be effective immediately. So, but listen, I do know that question had been out there with Gonzalez, and someone who was ready to issue a privileged motion gave him until 2 o' clock today to make his resignation effective immediately or they were going to go ahead and file the privileged motion that would call for expulsion. Both of these guys were on the verge of being expelled, and I think that they took the action. I think the other case of the woman from Florida, I think her case is the Ethics Committee is set on April 21 to bring forth a report that will lay out what they are suggesting we do. And I think there's a lot of chatter that that report will recommend that we expel her as well.
Steve Gruber
Well, there you have it, apparently, at least for today. It's not very often, but at least for today, Congressman, nobody is above the law. We'll see how it all plays out. Thank you for being here as always.
Congressman Mark Harris
Thank you. Great to be with you, Steve.
Steve Gruber
Good to be with you. All right, after the break tonight, Turning Point USA will hold its this is the Turning Point tour live at the University of Georgia. Vice President J.D. vance will be making an appearance. He gets all the action right here in real America's voice beginning at 6:00 clock tonight. I'll bring on Brian Glenn next live from Georgia for the latest.

All right, well tonight's your Turning Point USA will hold its this is the Turning Point tour at the University of Georgia. Vice President J.D. vance will be there. You can catch the action right here in Real America's Voice starting at about 6:00 clock Eastern. Joining me to discuss Real America's Voice, chief White House correspondent Brian Glenn. Brian, good afternoon.
Brian Glenn
Hey Steve, Good afternoon.
Steve Gruber
Looks like, looks like you're on your way to have an entertaining evening to see the Vice President speak and some other great speakers. See these Turning Point USA events obviously have evolved since the death of Charlie Kirk, but what should people expect?
Brian Glenn
Yeah, well we're in this brand new arena here at the campus of uga, the Atkins Ford Arena. It's about a year and a half old. We're gonna have about the gates just opened up a few minutes ago. You can see some of the people filing here in the front. Let me step aside real quick. Jarvis, let's get a tight shot of that. Show everybody home. What's going on? It's expected to start around 4:30, so we're just a little bit about an hour away from the beginning of this program. And of course, as you mentioned, Vice President J.D. vance will be here in attendance as well as Erica Kirk as well. Now if you look at the politics around this area, Steve, this is a deep Democrat area and I was talking to a local journalist here right before we came on air. There's a lot of homeless people in the Athens area. And of course this area has voted 68% of the time went to Kamala Harris and 70% Joe Biden in during that election. So this is a heavily Democrat area and very much a red Georgia state. But tonight, Steve, the message will be about the future of our this younger generation as far as a fill, affordability for home jobs, US Security and of course I'm sure JD Vance coming off those high level talks over the weekend, might talk a little bit about foreign policy today. Steve.
Steve Gruber
I would guess he would now that the Iranians are asking to return to the table immediately. Now they realize they're losing $400 million a day with that blockade and they can only go about two weeks before that all caves in. But I've got to ask you Brian, real quickly, obviously you're there at the White House. It's your regular assignment. All these members of Congress. Eric swalwell resigning about 20 minutes ago, effective immediately. Tony Gonzalez on his way out the door, but a couple others are hanging out. Sheila Cheerful McCormick, who's apparently taken $5 million, allegedly. Corey Mills, who has lined his own pockets for his own companies, allegedly. Also. Those two could be sitting the door. But man, what a shakeup in Congress. And I think that's a good thing. What do you say? Just get them out of here. Your thoughts? I agree.
Brian Glenn
And Steve, I agree with your point in that last segment. You know, I don't think it should be about having these backdoor deals where we'll let one guy resign and you have a one guy resign. So we can basically keep the, the, the, the e, the register. As far as the, the majority, the same. I want this based upon what's good, what's right and what's wrong. And I think you and I in total agreement on this. We want these individuals to be disciplined on their behavior, not to hold a majority in the House. And I do in fact think that Speaker Johnson and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries did just that. I think it was a one for one. But I want what the American people want and what you want. We want these people that have broken laws, allegedly these ones that have done inappropriate actions, allegedly held accountable 100%.
Steve Gruber
Look, if it's something that I would go to jail for or you would go to jail for, Brian, then they shoot. Should be facing the same harsh penalty. The American people feel the same way. Do not allow Congress to operate at a different level than the people that elected them. Absolutely not. And we'll see how this all plays out. Because I'm going to tell you right now, Ruben Gallego, the senator from Arizona who hung around with Eric Swalwell, went on vacations together, partied together. He's been out there today battling the rumors, too. He's in real trouble as well. We'll see how that plays out. And of course, we'll catch you tonight at six o'. Clock. Brian, thank you.
Brian Glenn
Thank you.
Chuck Flynn
Appreciate it.
Steve Gruber
Always appreciate it. All right. When the dollar's convertibility into gold ended back in 1971, gold was about $35 an ounce. Fast forward to today and the US dollar has lost over 85% of its purchasing power. Gold, on the other hand, has increased in value by over 12,000%. That's why Central banks are buying gold at record levels. And that's why major firms like Vanguard and BlackRock hold significant positions in gold. Coming up after the break, I'll discuss Zoran Mamdani's proposal to tax the rich and feed the poor till there are no rich, no more, or something like that. After the break, It's all free, all the time. Welcome to socialist utopia. Zoran Mamdani's first 100 days as new York City mayor have come and gone. And you know, the legacy media sources have you believe it's all sunshine and rainbows. But let's be honest, one of Mamdani's key campaign promises involved aggressive new taxes on high earners. But the real sting for many is his path of last resort, a potential 9.5% spike in property taxes if state leaders don't play ball. Yeah, he's going to raise property taxes 9.5%. Furthermore, Mamdani has signaled that he's ready to tap into the city's rainy day fund to fill budget holes, a move that could cost the average New Yorker more than taxes because those funds have to be restocked and it just goes round and round. While some are willing to wait and see, many are choosing to get out of dodge. They're heading to states with more stable tax codes. Tennessee, Texas, Florida, South Dakota. Joining me to discuss the executive director of the Coalition for Affordability and prosperity, any former U.S. senate chief of staff Chuck Flynn. Chuck, nice to see you.
Chuck Flynn
Great to be with you.
Steve Gruber
Here's the newest tax, Chuck. I just learned about this one this week. I mean, there's always a new one. I mean, if you look at Virginia, they have a new tax every day. But this one is an exit tax, apparently. California, Illinois, New York, Michigan, and some other states. If you plan to move out of state, they're Going to tax you for that, too. I mean, have they no shame, Steve?
Chuck Flynn
They really don't. And the irony is you have Kathy Hochul, the governor of New York, talking out of both sides of her mouth. She was at an event recently and said that she wanted to recruit New Yorkers to come back from Palm beach to New York. And then the other side of her mouth, she's talking about an exit tax. Hey, I'm going to keep you here and prevent you from leaving. You can't have it both ways. And the IRS migration data shows the people are voting with their fee. California New York lost 370,000 plus residents between 2022, 2023. They took 23 and a half billion dollars in adjusted gross income with them. These policies do not work. They do not make states more affordable.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, you know, is that legal, by the way, an exit tax? I mean, is that an enforceable tax? I've got my U haul. I'm going to Tennessee, I'm going to West Palm, wherever I'm going. Is that even legal? I mean, honestly, it seems to me like it'd be awfully hard to enforce.
Chuck Flynn
It's a great question. And it might come down to how much of a tax it is. If they are going to tax you at $100 or are they going to tax 50% of your income? How much of a burden does it place on the taxpayer? Because people have the freedom to be able to move if they want to. And these states that have these progressive policies are essentially trying to lock them in and force them to stay because it's going to erode their tax base. And this is what we've always said. These taxes that are positioned as wealth taxes always end up on the shoulders of the middle class, and they end up at the third leg of the progressive affordability stool, which is price controls.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, you know, here's the thing. Okay, so you got the grocery stores. The free grocery stores. You look at that Madam Downey proposal. $70 million for several stores over the next three or four years. Well, they've already spent $30 million on the first one. It's behind schedule. It's over budget. They've already blown about half the budget in trying to get one story. It's just typical failure of socialist utopia who just don't understand these things. They never work, Chuck. They're always a failure. This will be a failure. New York will be broke. They'll be looking for a federal bailout. Mark my words. Your thoughts?
Chuck Flynn
You're right. It's not a theoretical exercise. Who's going to determine pricing at the grocery store? Where will they source food from? Who's going to run it? There's so many questions that have to be asked. These progressive policies. Look at the minimum wage policy in California, In Los Angeles, $30 an hour. The hotel industry there has already lost 6% of its jobs. There was a new study that came out and they're not only losing jobs, but they're going to have to cut back on staff hours. So once again, these policies hurt the very people that they purport to help.
Steve Gruber
Well, you know, it's ironic about it because the grocery store, I'm going to stick with this one second longer. They're going to require the store. I heard Mamdani say this. To sell bread cheaper, eggs cheaper, milk cheaper, staples will be required to be sold at a lower price than you can get them at another store. Okay, so they're going to be sold at a loss. What's going to prevent people from other places around, hey, you know, they got cheap eggs, cheap meat, cheap. I'm gonna go there and buy the cheap stuff and take it back to my borough. Right. I'll bet you'll have to have a photo id, Chuck, to prove that you live there and can shop at that grocery store. Oh, the irony is something, isn't it?
Chuck Flynn
Well, it's just not going to work. These historically price controls, what they do is they go ahead and they increase demand, supply decreases. If you have prices that are artificially low, they're not responding to market forces because they're set, excuse me, by central planners. They have always failed. This was tried in the Soviet Union, obviously on a much larger scale. But to your point, already way over budget, $30 million for one. He budgeted 70 million in his campaign for five over a period of time. And New Yorkers are now finding out that these promises and this soaring rhetoric, it's a different reality when you're in and you're governing.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, it will be a failure. It's 100% guarantee. Not much of a prediction. It's pretty easy to figure out. Chuck Flynn, always appreciate talking to you, sir. Thank you very much.
Chuck Flynn
Thanks much.
Steve Gruber

Steve Gruber
All right, so our viewers come here and they like the idea of having the best supplements possible. And give me some insights on some of the supplements available through this company.

Steve Gruber
So, Dr. Clay, I know you work closely with Pure Health Research and they make wonderful health supplements. Why do you choose that company? Why is this company what has risen to the top for you?
Dr. Joseph Clark
So with supplements, it's a very interesting world. There are a number of things that have to come together to get results. First thing is the raw ingredients. The second thing is the formulation. And then the third thing is the price point, because there are lots of folks that can afford that, the very highest quality. And what Pure Health has done is they've tried their best to get the best raw ingredients, the best formulation at a price point that as many people can afford as possible. And I think that's that's something that really should be applauded.
Steve Gruber
Yeah. So the highest, I mean, quality, incredibly important natural ingredients, incredibly important. So that's fantastic. What are some of the more popular supplements that you suggest people should take a look at and investigate?
Dr. Joseph Clark
Sure. Well, they have three bestsellers of their 46 products. The top one is liver health formula, over 2 million bottles sold. And as the name implies, this formula supports thriving liver health. It could reduce fatty deposits in the liver, ignite metabolism to trim belly fat and flush out harmful toxins to give you a nice boost in energy. The next one I recommend for a lot of folks, folks who are struggling with circulation issues is called lymph system support for anyone who's struggling with swelling or fluid retention in their extremities. I actually saw two patients today who are struggling with this, especially their legs, ankles or feet. They're going to love this natural formula. It helps flush out that extra fluid to alleviate uncomfortable swelling or tightness. It could even restore more shapely legs. Lymph system support works by promoting a healthy lymphatic system which helps flush out extra fluids, fats and toxins. And the third is Blood Sugar Formula. As you can probably guess, this formula helps support healthy blood sugar levels. It could also reduce appetite and crush sugar cravings, making it easier to stay away from those tempting sweets. Maintaining healthy blood sugar has so many advantages, from dropping extra pounds to shrinking belly fat to boosting your energy levels. And of course, keeping your blood sugar in check can help keep your vision, kidneys, heart and circulation healthy too. Coming up after the break, I'll discuss the protests going on over in Ireland over fuel taxes and so much more. Kevin Posovi on the other side of the pond today. We'll have him here with us for the latest. Stay tuned. Normally we spend a moment tell you what makes America wonderful in this segment, but for a moment today we're going to step away from that and take a look at some international news. Fuel protests causing major disruption across Ireland as truckers and farmers block key roads and fuel supply routes and response to rising prices. The demonstrations have shut down highways, delayed deliveries and contributed to fuel shortages at gas stations nationwide. In Ireland, there are also a lot of protests about the immigration policies of Ireland and the rest of the eu. Join me to discuss this RAV special field correspondent Kevin Posobec. Kevin, good afternoon.
Kevin Posobiec
How you doing, Seth? Thanks for having us. Yeah, we're down downtown Dublin now. We're out front of the Dahl Building. That's the Irish Parliament where earlier today there were two votes. Okay. Yes, they are protesting these fuel hikes, these spikes and also immigration as well. They're both causing 60% fuel taxes on top of all this just to afford, you know, driving their trucks, driving their tractors, the haulers, the truckers, all of it. And with me, with me live here is the independent Irish councilman and Gavin Pepper. And he was instrumental in bringing forth one of these proposals to have a vote of no confidence in the government because of all this. Okay. So yes, we have these taxes and it didn't pass today, but they did get some kind of like relief package for $0.10 less tax on the fuel, moving forward temporarily, but it's not really
Congressman Mark Harris
going to go far.
Kevin Posobiec
It's not really amount to much. So if we could. Gavin, any comment quickly on that?
Gavin Pepper
Yeah, it's absolutely. In Ireland, farmers have been with them from day one out, protested and they can't afford to get boy. I mean, it's from the farm to the fork here in Ireland and the government in Ireland are just not listening. So we call for a motion, no confidence in them, but unfortunately devoted for confidence. I mean, you know, talkies won't vote for Thanksgiving in America, as you would say. But this is the, the problem we have in Ireland. The politicians in the doll are out of Kilta with Irish people. Their people are struggling up and down the country to afford electricity and gas to fill that cars, I mean green diesel, white diesel at home, heating oil, you know, they won't fix the rates on them, but the people in that building, it doesn't affect them because they get it for free through taxpayers money because we're paying our wages. Irish families are an emergency accommodation. And that takes me off the immigration issue we have here in Ireland. We feel much illegal immigration. We need mass key part patients, we need to send them home. You know they're coming in.
Kevin Posobiec
Yeah,
Gavin Pepper
Families are in emergency accommodation.
Kevin Posobiec
That's right. That's right. It's crazy. It's, it's so much, so much. They're overwhelmed and they just want to be putting Irish workers first. Okay. That's what that's important is here. Steve. Yes.
Steve Gruber
Yeah.
Kevin Posobiec
Yes, sir.
Steve Gruber
Kevin. Thank you very much. Kevin Posobic In Ireland today, the protests over mass immigration, the high cost of fuel. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Don't forget to join me tomorrow morning for Daybreak, a new chapter in Real America's Voice. We kick it off at 6am Daybreak with Steven Ivey. Those two good looking people right there, a great way to start your day. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning right here on Real America's Voice.
