Steve Gur
And welcome to America's Voice Live. I'm Steve gerd. Is Friday the 3rd of April, the year of our Lord 2026, a packed show today discussing the downed USF15E fighter jet in the skies of Iran. I'll bring on multiple retired Air Force members to discuss, including a fighter pilot. Also, I will also discuss the termination of Pam Bondi as United States Attorney General. Who could replace her? That's the big question at the AG Post. All that and more. So let's dive right in. As I said, a US F15E Strike Eagle fighter jet has been downed in Iranian airspace, first time since this war began over a month ago. Both crew members ejected safely, but only one has been rescued by U.S. special Operations forces. The second pilot's location remains unknown at this moment, and Iran is reportedly calling on civilians to help locate him, even offering a reward for their recovery. The jet was on operations when it came under heavy failure from the enemy. The White House confirms that President Trump has been fully briefed, and the Pentagon is working closely with allies to see if they can locate the missing pilot. Israel has provided intelligence support and canceled planned strikes in the area to avoid interfering with rescue efforts. Officials say a strong response is being considered to protect US Personnel as the war negotiations continue. Joining me to discuss this, retired United States Air Force colonel and the podcast host, Colonel Rob Manus. Colonel, thank you for being here today.
Colonel Rob Manus
Hey, good afternoon, Steve. Thanks for having me on.
Steve Gur
This is the first time in more than a month of aerial strikes. More than 13,000 sorties last time I checked, Colonel. And this is the first aircraft lost. But to listen to the other side, you would think that Iran has had some great victory here. The F15E is the workhorse of the Air Force, if I'm not mistaken. And it's likely this plane was flying at a lower Altitude doing closer up close work, which means it was closer in to more conventional anti aircraft fire and such. What are your thoughts at this hour?
Colonel Rob Manus
Yeah, I've seen some initial reporting that they think a shoulder fired surface to air missile probably took this aircraft down. It's a two seat aircraft, so you've got a pilot and a weapons systems officer that have ejected out. And it appears, according to reporting and some of the evidence that I've seen that both made it out safely and at least one's been rescued by search and rescue. And I just want to add that, you know, American search and rescue forces will go through the gates of hell to come get you and bring you home unless they're ordered not to do it. And a lot of them will probably do it even if they're ordered not to do it. So we will find this downed airman and God help the Iranians if they harm one hair on the head of this downed airman because we do have total control over this airspace. This aircraft just found itself in the threat envelope more than likely of that shoulder fired missile, also called a Manpad. And they got a lucky shot off. And we always have to remember the enemy gets a boat and they will try to shoot down those that are destroying the targets. And that's what happened in this case it appears.
Steve Gur
And when I call this airplane the Workhorses because it can hold more fuel and a heavy bomb load, heavier bomb load than other planes in the arsenal if you will. And what I mean by that, it put itself the Manpad, as you pointed out, Colonel, that means this plane was likely flying below 20,000ft, finding targets to take out and that puts them in harm's way. This is an active combat zone. This is no great victory for Iran. I think you put it correctly as a lucky shot. We always concern ourselves when there are missing military personnel. But this is not some great victory for Iran. But to hear some of the left wing media already claiming this is some major victory for Iran and a great defeat for the White House. It's a month of operation so far, Colonel. I don't know how anybody can frame it that way.
Colonel Rob Manus
Between the Americans and the Israeli Air force, we've flown 15,000 sorties or flights, attacked over 11,000 different targets and continue to attack them as we speak. Just to show you how ridiculous those people are that saying this is some big victory is we're flying Rescue C130s and slow flying helicopters within visual range of the ground. You've seen videos of them showing it all day where they're flying search and rescue operations in broad daylight within visual range of the ground. We control this airspace. They are going to have some of these missiles left over, and they will take a shot when they can. I've been shot at by them by a very inexperienced operator in my. One of my combat sorties in Afghanistan. And the shot was taken. In no way were we even in the threat envelope. But you know what? Sometimes they get lucky and it finds its mark. And more than likely, that's what's happened this time. And like I said, our search and rescue professionals are out there right now and they will go to the ends of the earth to get these pilots and this weapon systems officer back home so they can fly again the next day.
Steve Gur
Let's talk about the training for a moment. Whenever you're training as a pilot or a weapons officer, these scenarios are practiced. You've been shot down, you are in hostile territory. What is the training that is going to keep this pilot alive and out of harm's way at this moment if they're still on the ground?
Colonel Rob Manus
Yeah, all of our combat aviators and many of our folks that are not combat aviators now that might find themselves near in enemy territory are trained in. In search and rescue and evasion techniques and survival techniques. And that's what this aviator is doing right now. It's now night there, which is good from a tactical perspective for us because we know how to fly and operate at night. And this aviator is putting their training to use using the equipment and the techniques that I'm not going to go into here. But believe me, there are tons of equipment and techniques that are primaries and backups and tertiaries that all of our aviators are trained to use when this kind of circumstance presents itself. And both sides of this issue, the rescuers and the downed aviator are going to put all that training to use and are currently doing it right now, as we speak, in the best time to do it, and that is at nighttime. That really improves our odds of rescuing
Steve Gur
that second aviator without giving away any national security information, which I respect. Colonel, what kind of equipment is on the airman or woman, whoever it turns out to be, that can help those rescue teams locate them more quickly? Are there homing devices? I mean, how does this work from a practical standpoint? Again, just common knowledge type things.
Colonel Rob Manus
Yeah, Every combat aviator is equipped with a survival radio and things like beacons that can be seen across multiple different spectrums. Spectrums of light, spectrums of heat, electromagnetic radiation and emit signals and those kinds of things. And we have assets from the surface all the way up into space that can find those and track those and give the helicopter pilots and C130 pilots the opportunity to get the rescue pararescue men and women into, get that aviator out. The pararescue forces from the Air Force are more than likely being escorted by some type of Special operations force or Army Rangers, those kind of forces, in order to keep them safe as they go about doing their jobs.
Steve Gur
Yeah, this is what the Rangers train for every day as well. These are some of the most highly educated and trained military personnel in the world. Period, paragraph, full stop. If you want somebody looking for you, this is the group of people you want looking, isn't it?
Colonel Rob Manus
Oh, you're absolutely right. Like, I was dead serious when I said they'll go through the gates of hell to come get you out and bring you home because they know they have their own families back at home and your families back at home. All of America expects them to be able to get this aviator back, not just for their families, but for their country. And to do the thing that they do are doing and were doing when they got shot down, and that is to bring this fight to the enemy again and again and again and continue to overwhelm them and decimate their capabilities that they've used for almost 50 years to not just kill Americans, but also kill their friends, their neighbors in their neighboring countries, and even kill their own people like they did just last month, killing over 36,000 Iranians.
Steve Gur
I want to circle back to something we just touched on here, Rob, and that is, you know, to listen to some of the outlets. It's almost as if they're cheering for the Iranians to be successful here. How do you take that, as a military veteran, knowing that there is still an American on the ground there? And these folks seem to be cheering. This is a big setback for Donald Trump. This is a, you know, a huge win for Iran and its propaganda. I don't see it that way at all. It's been a month. This is the first plane lost to hostile fire that I'm aware of and that you're aware of. Just address that last question to you.
Colonel Rob Manus
If they want to stop being viewed as the enemy of the people by the American people, they should stop doing press reports that are only intended to get the President of the United States and harm those that are in harm's way, not only on your and my behalf, but on their behalf behalf. They have freedom of the press because of these men and women that are going in harm's way right now and the president's the commander in chief. They should act appropriately. Yeah. Report the facts when you get them, but stop reporting the propaganda narrative just to hurt a political opponent in this situation. Because if you want to ever break out of the name enemy of the people, you need to start doing that.
Steve Gur
Colonel Rob Manus, appreciate your expertise here today. Thank you so much.
Colonel Rob Manus
Thank you, Steve.
Steve Gur
All right, after the break with the firing of Pam Bondi yesterday and Todd Blanche stepping in as interim attorney general, the question now, who will be the next U.S. attorney General? More on that next with former Kentucky AG Daniel Cameron. But first, let's take a sneak peek at Real America's music latest release in partnership with Bass Records. Ammunition, here it is.

strong and I'll keep stocking up on ammunition. All right. Well, Attorney General Pam Bondi fired by the President midweek. For many, it has been long overdue. Some say it was her handling of the Epstein files. Others say it was because nobody is being held accountable for massive fraud in places like Minneapolis and California and elsewhere. Others have other ideas. But there is a new rumor flying around that she may have tipped off Congressman Eric Swalwell that the file pertained to his years long intimate relationship with a Chinese spy. Christine Fang, better known as Fang Fang, was the deal breaker. Regardless of how we got here, here's where we are. Todd Blanche is stepping in as the interim ag. As President Trump works on selecting a permanent replacement. This is what Blanche himself had to say about the tip off allegations.
Bo Davidson
Listen, Pam Bondi too, but she didn't, she didn't give swallow a heads up on the Fang Fang files, did she? I would not believe that for a second.
Steve Gur
Absolutely, positively not. Okay. All right. Swalwell himself had this to say as well when asked about this possibility. And Ms. Now here it is.
Colonel Rob Manus
Did Bondi or anyone in her orbit
Bo Davidson
leak information to you, Congressman?
Steve Gur
No. No, the attorney general did not tip us off. No one in her orbit tipped us off. Regardless, for many Americans, Bondi had lost favor and the change is welcome, but it's only welcome if the new AG is ready to actually hold people accountable. And that's really the key question moving forward. Joining me to discuss this is a former attorney and general himself for the state of Kentucky, now a candidate for U.S. senate, Daniel Cameron. Daniel, thank you for being here.
Daniel Cameron
Steve. Always good to be with you, my friend.
Steve Gur
I think it's fair to say that a lot of the folks that voted for Donald Trump, the natives, were restless. They had not seen Pam Bondi deliver on accountability the way that they thought that she would. One of the big mistakes, clearly, when she said, I have the Epstein files on my desk for review, that didn't really go anywhere. People wanted to see some things happen. We see the fraud in Minnesota, California and elsewhere. Pam Bondi, probably leaving now is probably good for the president. I mean, it's an election year, as you well know, because you're running for usn, which we'll get to in a moment. But look, the president can read political tea leaves as well as anybody, can he?
Daniel Cameron
Well, Steve, one, I want to say, just like President Trump, I certainly appreciate General Bondi's time as the attorney General of the United States. Obviously, I think it's important to have fresh blood in these offices periodically. And as you know, President Trump has a good sense of when it is time to move on from somebody else and to have a new person and individual in that office. And like you, I'm excited to see who that is that's going to ensure that we're maintaining the rule of law in this country and that we are seeking out ways to prosecute waste, fraud and abuse, like you mentioned that we've seen in Minnesota. That's obviously something that has to be a critical priority for the next Attorney General of the United States. So I look forward to seeing who that person is. I will say, you know, Todd Blanche obviously has a really good track record of, one, his intellect, but two, his commitment to the ideals and principles that President Trump has talked about in terms of the America first agenda. So, look, I think we're going to be in good hands with Todd Blanche, and I'm hopeful that whomever is the permanent attorney general is going to seek out ways to make sure that there's accountability and transparency when it comes to the VICT of the Epstein saga and the absurdity of what happened there and the heinous crimes that were committed there. But two is also looking for ways that we ensure that there's no waste, fraud and abuse that is not being looked at and ultimately acted upon to ensure that there are prosecutions.
Steve Gur
Well, here's another reality. Regardless of who gets the job, being the attorney general for the state of Kentucky is a big job. Being the attorney general for the the United States is a huge job and a difficult job. I think we can all appreciate that. And what about the politics inside the Department of Justice, the reality of politics inside the FBI, the Department of justice, these intel communities in Washington? It's no secret. Didn't used to be that way. The FBI didn't care if you're a Republican or Democrat. Those things in those days have gone by. And so the obstacles inside the doj, for example, probably more difficult today than it was in years gone by. What do you think?
Daniel Cameron
I mean, they are going to be challenging to your point, Steve. I mean, Democrats and liberals in particular have done a good job of entrenching themselves in these institutions, whether it's agencies in government, whether it's our schools, whether it's higher education, whether, frankly, it's corporations. They have done a good job of entrenching themselves. And so what President Trump came in talking about is root and branch, ripping out these, you know, leftist individuals that are focused on DEI and focused on ESG and ultimately trying to get back to what you're talking about, which is law and order, the rule of law, looking out for the American citizen and not trying to construct social outcomes that are preferred by those of the left. We've got to have agencies and administrations that people can trust. And that is what President Trump is trying to instill, whether it's at the Department of Defense with Pete Hegseth or at the United States Department of Justice, regardless of where or what agency it is, we've got to restore trust for the American people. President Trump has obviously been working on that. But again, it's important to have leadership that's that turns over periodically so that we can have new and fresh ideas and people that are invigorated to go after these challenges and problems that we have in this country.
Steve Gur
I want to talk a little bit before I let you go about your race to be the next U.S. senator to replace Mitch McConnell, which a lot of folks think that that time as well, for a variety of reasons, we'll leave that alone. But I understand the race is going well for you.
Daniel Cameron
It's going well. I mean, by the majority of polling I've been leading and we've got folks that are giving and supporting the campaign. I'm going to encourage your viewers and listeners to go to Cameron4Kentucky.com if you want to give a few dollars. But most of the polling has shown that I'm leading and it's because I'm talking about the issues that Kentuckians care about, rule of law, lowering your taxes, energy independence, standing firm and ensuring that there's integrity within our election systems to make sure that we pass the Save America Act. That is something that I think is a by any means necessary step that needs to occur in the Senate and it needs to get passed now. And I've been focused on that during this campaign. And I'm talking about common sense issues that Kentuckians care about. That's why I'm leading and that's why on May 19, I'm going to win this race for the United States Senate Republican nomination.
Steve Gur
Daniel Cameron, we wish you the very best in this race, reading by double digits according to some polling. And again, that primary is May 19th. Sarah, thank you for being here.
Daniel Cameron
It's always a pleasure, my friend. Thank you.
Steve Gur

This Easter weekend, Real America's Voice is taking you back in time. The Living Word from scrolls to cross journey through history as host Bo Davidson explores the ancient writings that shaped the Bible as we know it today.
Bo Davidson
What do you think is the biggest misconception?
Steve Gur
The biggest misconceptions early on was that somehow the scrolls were going to undo our beliefs. It actually does the opposite. What we are still practicing today has a genetic connection all the way back 2000 years.
Unknown Female Announcer or Promoter
You don't want to miss this special event. Watch Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 2pm only on real America's Voice.
Steve Gur
That's right. This weekend, Real America's Voice correspondent Bo Davidson hosting that one hour Easter special titled the Living Word From Scrolls to Resurrection. It airs Saturday and Sunday at 2 o' clock Eastern. So put that on your calendar. Special highlights how these discoveries connect directly to the foundations of the Bible as we know it today, reinforcing the continuity of faith across thousands of years. Here to give us more details, Bo Davidson. Bo, good afternoon.
Bo Davidson
Good afternoon, Steve. And you know, it is a good Friday. We think about the resurrection of our Lord and what he went through today. And I just got to say, Steve, for those who have not been to Washington D.C. to see the museum of the Bible, you know, there are a lot of great Smithsonians there. We've got some wonderful museums.
Dr. James Robbins
Museums.
Bo Davidson
But this museum has two exhibitions at the same time that my understanding from the curator is have never been in the same place at the same time. So on the one hand you have the dead Sea Scrolls, 2000 years old, adds 1200 years earlier to the Masoretic text. So wonderful for both the Jewish and the Christian faith. And on the second exhibition they have the Megiddo mosaic which from about 230 A.D. first inscription, Steve, of the words God, Jesus Christ. That is so important archaeologically. It's important historically and it's certainly important spiritually for Christians who celebrate Easter, as I certainly do and I believe you do as well. So it's just two amazing exhibitions in one spot. Something another little fact that I'd like to tell you, Steve, is that they had a live look at the Western Wall. They have a 4,000 pound piece of the wall there at the museum. You can't go to the Western Wall right now for obvious reasons, because of the war happening there and missiles and shrapnel hitting that area, that sacred area. But in the Museum of the Bible in D.C. you can go up and actually place anything you want and note in the. In the crevice there of the wall of an actual piece of the Western Wall, I found that quite, quite a dichotomy, quite something to think about, that you can do this here in the United States, but you cannot do it at the Western Wall in Israel at this particular time.
Steve Gur
So this is an important week. Obviously, it's Holy week for those of the Christian faith. Easter Sunday, coming Sunday, as Christ is risen on Sunday, of course, this special. You had to really enjoy doing this, Bo. I mean, you just be able to dive into the history. I love history, as you know, and to be able to see some of these artifacts, like you say, you can't see them in Israel right now, but you can see them at the Museum of the Bible. What a special opportunity for you.
Bo Davidson
It was. And, you know, they had these bone boxes, Steve. And, you know, the thing that hit me was if Jesus had not resurrected, if he just had died and they found his body, Jesus bones would be in a bone box. That's how they buried people. But because he's risen, because we know and have the faith, both historically and spiritually, that on the third day he rose again, there are no bones in those boxes because his body was resurrected and his soul was resurrected into heaven. And that's why we have the faith that we do today. So to see those artifacts, to see what it was like in the time of Christ. Truly a spectacle.
Steve Gur
Steve. Yeah. I'm going to give one word of caution, just because of the war you mentioned it, Bo, I think that everybody needs to have their head on a swivel come Easter Sunday. Unfortunately, we live in a day and age when Christians are being targeted more often, as are Jews around this world. And so be careful out there as you celebrate the risen Christ, because you just never know what could happen. Bo, last word to you.
Bo Davidson
I just would say that it was just a pleasure to do this. I want to thank the Museum of the Bible. We also have a really great Angel Studio special going on right now. I do want to mention, for $8.99 for an entire year, you can lock in that price, get all the great content that's on Angel Studios, as well as two free tickets to any theatrical release of your choice. So kind of got two really great things going on we've got this Easter special going at 2pm Saturday and Sunday. And you got to sign up for Angel Studios for the Guild by Easter Sunday to lock in those prices. So two really wonderful things about tremendous Christian content that means a lot to us that celebrate this weekend. And as you said, Steve, keep your head on a swivel, but worship God knowing that we do live in a country that allows us to do so. And keep those who are persecuted in mind this weekend.
Steve Gur
Amen to that, my friend. Bo Davidson, always a pleasure.
Bo Davidson
Likewise, Steve. Have a great Good Friday.
Steve Gur

Stay tuned for the latest after this. Well, the search continues at this hour for at least one pilot of that downed fighter jet in Iran. Our next guest served as an assistant, a special assistant to to the undersecretary of defense for policy at the Pentagon for almost 10 years. He's currently dean of academics at the Institute of World Politics and a senior fellow in national security at the affairs at the American Foreign Policy Council. Here to discuss the ongoing actions in the search for that down fighter jet pilot In Iran is Dr. James Robbins. Doctor, thank you for being here.
Dr. James Robbins
Oh, hi, Steve. Thanks for having me.
Steve Gur
So it has become nighttime in Iran. Now, one of our earlier guests said that gives us an advantage because we are so advanced in our technology to pinpoint a downed pilot with the technology that we have available in the emergency radios and everything else. How critical is it with every minute that passes to find this airman?
Dr. James Robbins
Well, obviously, very critical, because if the bad guys find him first, then we have a prisoner of war situation, which, as we've seen from Israel's war in Gaza, can make things very complicated. It's almost a hostage situation. When you're talking about the Iranians, we don't know how they would treat our pilot. You know, they probably wouldn't treat him very well, and then he would become a bargaining chip in the ongoing, very shaky diplomatic situation. So it's really critical to find him.
Steve Gur
All right, so we found one of the. We don't know if we found the pilot or the weapons specialist, but we found somebody from this F15E, one of the two, of course, limited information coming out. How difficult, Doctor, is it to pinpoint one of these people? This is a giant country. We have, obviously, the location where the jet went down. We have one of the people that was on board. But does that narrow it down? Does that give us better odds of getting there before, as you put it, the bad guys do?
Dr. James Robbins
Oh, definitely. I think we have a very good idea of where they went down, where they punched out, when they went down, where the other person might have landed. They have sensors that can broadcast where they might be. And as you say, at night, we can use thermal sensoring and other types of advanced technologies to try to pinpoint where they are. We don't know if the. If the other pilot has been wounded or injured upon landing. We don't know if they're being sheltered by some Iranians. It could be hidden. I mean, these are people who don't particularly like the regime. So it's even possible that he's getting help from locals. But again, it's very important to locate and rescue the other pilot because it would complicate things immeasurably by having a POW in Iranian hands.
Steve Gur
It would, for sure. It's unusual to me to see the reporting of some of the other networks here in the United States, basically calling this a huge victory for Iran. My understanding, Doctor, this is the first plane taken out by enemy fire in more than a month since this conflict began. They finally got one. I would not call that a huge victory for Iran or an embarrassment to this White House. And yet that's the way it's being framed by Some folks on some other networks. What are your thoughts on that?
Dr. James Robbins
Well, with respect to the actual event, I mean, even though we have air supremacy over Iran, things happen. You can't take out every single anti air weapon they have, you know, man portable anti air weapons and other types of devices that could be used to accomplish this. Also, as our aircraft engage in new types of missions that may be closer to the ground, it may be easier to fire some of these other weapons to try to attack them. So these types of things are bound to happen. You can't have 100% perfect missions every single time. So that's, that's one thought I have on it. The other thought is it seems that this defeatist narrative that's out there of people who are exaggerating what the Iranians do or can do and exaggerating the impact of these things almost without consequence. It's almost like they're rooting for the other side and they want to see the United States or more probably President Trump embarrassed. And they don't care about the strategic situation. They don't care that Iran will continue to be a threat if they come out of this war intact. So I find that very strange because typically in wars you want to kind of unite behind the commander in chief, you want to support the troops and support the war effort. And yet it seems that on a lot of the, if I can say the other side, I mean, the people who are rooting, almost rooting against the President and against our forces, I don't know how they can do that really. It's strange to me that they rush to frame something like this in those extreme terms.
Steve Gur
Yeah, I find it absolutely downright shameful. In fact, it's been a successful operation by any metric. I think if you look at the number of sorties, 15,000 and we lost one plane after more than a month. I don't know how you would frame this as anything but a roaring success. And yet that's what they're choosing to do. Last word to you.
Dr. James Robbins
Well, yeah, compared to World War II, when we might send up 300 B17s and hope that 200 came back on any given day, I mean, think about it. This is a war. Things happen, people get killed, you know, things get shot down. And it's unfortunate and we would love for it to be perfect, but it's not. And people have to maintain that perspective. You know, this is a conflict where things, bad things are going to happen and to then say, well, Iran is winning or something. Or like Politico said, Iran Holds all the cards. I mean, get some perspective, folks. That's unrealistic.
Steve Gur
It is unrealistic. Their navy is at the bottom of the sea. Their air force is basically also grounded and destroyed. They have some man pads which are these shoulder fired missiles. They got lucky because One of these F15Es was operating well below 20,000ft to be in range. And that's what it appears to have happened. Doctor, I appreciate your perspective.
Dr. James Robbins
Thank you, Steve. Appreciate it.
Steve Gur

Let's go. All right, continuing coverage now. That downed F15E Strike Eagle fighter jet, it went down just north of the persian gulf and kuza stan province. Our next guest was an air force pilot, fighter pilot himself, Lieutenant colonel Waldo Waldman joining me now. Colonel, thank you for being here.
Lieutenant Colonel Waldo Waldman
Nice to be here, Steve.
Steve Gur
All right, so let's talk about this. One of the members of that crew. Now, you have a pilot and a. A weapons specialist, if I'm correct on that. And so one of these people has been rescued already. The other is somewhere. And I know. Tell me about the training that goes into this. Because you flew missions in a couple of different live theaters in active war zones in your career, you were trained for this kind of scenario, probably routinely. What is this pilot trained to do right now?
Lieutenant Colonel Waldo Waldman
And first and foremost, my condolences go out to the Downed air crew and their families. We know that this is a tough time for everyone. And I'll tell you, the confidence that you have before you strap in and fly these amazing aircraft for the the greatest country in the world is really what gives you that fortitude, the resilience and discipline needed to survive. As we say in the military, no fighter pilot flies solo. That downed air crew that was rescued is going to be able to provide a serious amount of intel to the search and rescue operations as well as other aircraft that were airborne. This F15E, which is a dual role air to air and air to ground fighter, is extremely capable of, but you're not infallible to the enemy. Just because we degraded the surface to air missile systems of the enemy doesn't mean that they don't have any other mobile launchers. A lot of these small mobile launchers with surface to air missiles that are carried on your shoulder can reach out and grab you. And I'm assuming based on the limited intel that we have, that that potentially is what happened. Now those air crew that are on the ground, the surviving one is very, very well trained. They go through what's called Siri, Survival of Asian Resistance escape, where we go through these mock yet very, very intense scenarios on how to survive in these various theaters. Obviously this pilot is kind of navigating at night right now, which is a good thing for search and rescue operations and a bad thing for the enemy because they're harder to find. That being said, discipline on the ground, moving when you're supposed to move, minimum radio contact because the enemy is listening in and having a backup plan and pre coordinating with the ground and air forces is absolutely critical to building confidence and ensuring the safe rescue of that soldier on the ground.
Steve Gur
And let's talk about those teams that are dispatched, Army Rangers for example, might be the ones that, that get the call on a play like this to get in there. These are also some of the most highly trained military personnel working today anywhere in the world. And when those folks are looking for you, that's got to bring a bit of optimism to the families and to that pilot on the ground. Would you agree?
Lieutenant Colonel Waldo Waldman
100%. You know, we've had a few weeks of obviously operations surveilling their, their enemy defenses, the troop concentrations. We've got an amazing amount of intel in particular from our partners in Israel as well. So we go into each one of these fights, so to speak, each one of these missions with a high level of confidence. That being said, there is always the fog and friction of War, you're never going to understand the complexities of that operation, what's going on on the ground and the pre coordination, like I said, the intel that's gathered the plan, we have certain routes and I'll try to be as unclassified as possible, but there are certain safe areas where you know to go to on the ground that are preplanned. Now, based on if that pilot, the downed air crew was injured, based on if he still has access to his communication gear, et cetera, that's going to dictate the level of competence in being able to communicate with those in the air and on the ground and the special Forces that are going to be able to rescue him or her. So there is a high level of confidence, but time is not on our side. So we do have to move quickly. But, but I do think at night that's where U.S. special Forces and our Navy brothers and sisters and army personnel are going to be able to put together a comprehensive plan and extract that soldier. Which in all, no uncertain terms is really the most complicated part because if you're going to extract that soldier with a search and rescue helicopter, you're going to be a big beacon in the sky. When we rescued Lt. Colonel, now retired former Chief of Staff General Dave Goldfein from Serbia in the late 90s, his rescue was very, very, very interesting to say the least. But we got him out of there and no lives were lost.
Steve Gur
They're all complicated. Lieutenant Colonel Waldo Waldman, you've been in these theaters and we appreciate your expertise. Thank you very much.
Lieutenant Colonel Waldo Waldman
Godspeed and God bless our troops and praying for the families and the rescue.
Steve Gur

Pets do sometimes and sometimes not. Plus, your answers to our America's Voice Question of the day. Who would you like to see as the next attorney general for these United States? The answer coming up. Well, what makes America wonderful? We do it every day in the hopes of putting a smile on your face. Today's story comes to us from Boise, Idaho, where a delivery driver named Dan is reminding people how far a little kindness can go. Dan's nearly 70 and still delivering pizzas, showing up every day with a smile, a strong work ethic. One night he was dropping off a pie when he realized the store had run out of the Diet Coke the customer had requested. Instead of just delivering the pizza without it, Dan decided to make an extra stop. Along the way, he went to a different store, bought the soda himself just so the customer would get what they wanted. People across the Internet were touched by Dan's kindness and by the fact that he was still working at his age. So strangers decided to step in and say, hey, Dan, thank you. Fundraiser and GoFundMe was started. Donations piled up from people who wanted to help Dan finally enjoy a well deserved retirement, which is one he's on his way to now. What makes America wonderful? Ordinary folks doing extraordinary things, showing acts of kindness and you know what, Having work ethic. And now well deserved retirement after a life of hard work. Well done. Dan, they should buy him a pizza too, just for good measure. Here's your question of the day. Who would you like to see as the next attorney general in the United States? Chip Sorensen writes, John Eastman. I've heard that name bantered about Bert B. One says Judge Jeanine Pirro. Well, that's one I haven't heard yet. Actor writes how about Devin Nunes? All right. Kelly says, well, Marco Rubio can do everything. I would ask Tom Holman who he thinks would be best. We need someone with a set like his. I said a what? I'm so confused. What does he mean by that? John Hogan writes Judge Jeanine. John Ray says, how about Ed Martin? All right, Ed Martin, Texas has Miller or Sidney and Bayshore. Todd says Judge Judy. Literally. All right. My pick, by the way, is Senator Eric Schmidt, the former attorney general, now senator from the state of Missouri. Why? Because he has a hammer that's what we need right now, a hammer. And we need accountability. Really appreciate you being here today. And I'm glad. It's Good Friday, a very special day here this Holy Week. I want you all to enjoy a wonderful Easter. Spend time with your family, but remember what this holiday is all about. All right? Look up once or twice. Have a great Easter, everyone. From all of us here at Real America's Voice, we truly appreciate you being here every day and hope that your family and you have a great holiday. We'll talk soon.
