Live Breaking news right now here on Real America's Voice Filtered. These people are domestic terrorists and unapologetic. We're here to take a stand for God and country. Does feel good. America's Voice Live starts now. Welcome to America's Voice Live. I'm Steve Garridi. This Thursday, December 25th, in the year of our Lord, 2025. Merry Christmas, my friends. We have a great show for you today, so be sure to stick around for this very special Christmas Day edition of avl. Christmas isn't just a season of lights, gifts and celebration. It's a moment rooted in more than 2,000 years of history. It marks the birth of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, an event that reshaped civilization, inspired entire systems of charity, and laid the moral foundation for the Western world. For centuries. Families and communities have gathered to honor that moment, keeping alive traditions that remind us of faith, humility, and, of course, gratitude. Today, even as some mainly liberals try to water down the meaning of Christmas or turn it into a generic winter holiday, its Christian significance remains at the heart of of what we're celebrating. Jesus, he is the reason for the season. Christmas calls us back to the values that built this country. Faith, family, and the belief that hope entered the world in the form of a child. And that's a message worth protecting and passing on. Join me to discuss the history and significance of this Holiday is the historian and author of the book There really is a Santa Claus, William Federer. He's also the president and founder of American Minute. William, thank you for being here.
E
Hey Steve, great to be with you.
A
You know, I mentioned watering down Christmas. A lot of people would like to turn it into just a winter holiday, a pagan holiday, but it's not. It is a significant holiday for Christians, second most important, I would say, on the calendar. What are your thoughts this Christmas day?
E
Yeah, well, Christianity is the largest religion in the world, about a third. And so that makes Christmas one of the most celebrated holidays in all of the world. And actually in all the world history, AD BC Everything is dated based on the birth of Christ. I love the quote from Clarence Mannion. He was the dean of the Notre Dame Law School. And he said that it is the one place on the long, long trail of time where the magnetic needle of history stands vertical and points up. Right. So we change from BC before Christ to ad anno Domini. And then of course those that when in the 19th century there was this movement to say, oh, before common era. Common era. It's like, when did it change the birth of Christ? They can't get away from it.
A
Yeah, you know, I, I, I wondered that when I started seeing BCE show up. I'm like, what is that? It was some attempt to dilute or ignore the significance of Christ. He is the most well documented person to ever put feet on this planet. The most well documented life in human history, isn't it?
E
You're exactly right. There are more letters and codexes and scriptures referring place than any other figure. And all the way back, Gary Habermas, Liberty University did a tremendous study on how right there, within just a few years of his death, the entire gospel message was already talked about, written down. The Apostle Paul, the church fathers. So yeah, the world is dated according to this. And as you mentioned, it gave birth to the concept of charity. And hospitals were started by Christians and orphanages and medical clinics. And you contrast that to other belief systems where they thought that if somebody was ill it was because they were cursed or you'd let them suffer so they could be reincarnated in a higher state in the next life. No, Christianity says that there's one life and one judgment and Jesus took the judgment in our place.
A
Yeah, you know, we talked about the watering down, but it's not just that. You look at places like Lebanon, Nigeria, China, Christians are persecuted on this planet more than anybody else as well. From what I read, from what I understand, Bill, and so Therefore they're the most targeted religion and pay a very high price in some places, don't they?
E
Right. I was recently with a Father Calvin Robinson, an Anglican minister who moved from England to Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Excuse me, Grand Rapids, Michigan. And he says they can't go back to England. I said, why? He goes, censorship law. 16,000 people are in prison today in England, some for as little as liking a tweet. And it's like, wow. And then I was with Charlie Kirk just a couple days before he was shot in Seoul, Korea. And we met with a pastor son S O N and he's been in prison since two days before Charlie was shot. And, and he said look it, it's. They were pushing the trans agenda. He says this isn't politics, this is Bible. In the beginning God made a male and female and, and he's spending, he's lost 35 pounds. And people that hold to biblical values are persecuted.
A
They certainly are.
E
Interestingly enough, Somalia is one of the. Interesting enough, Somalia is one of the worst countries of persecution. And now we're finding out that a whole lot of them have been brought.
A
To Minnesota and Maine and Michigan and other places. You know, when I hear you talk, Bill, you know, in this Christmas season, one of the things I'm thankful for is, is this United States Constitution I hold in my hand. And it's because of the First Amendment, which is foundational for religious freedom. Prior to this document that, you know, encompasses Judeo Christian values, people were subjugated by kings and queens and other dictators and rulers. It really was a breakthrough of Christian Judeo values to create this experiment in self government, wasn't it?
E
Oh, it really was. One of the studies that I do is I go to the beginning of recorded human history. Sumerian cuneiform on clay tablets, the Mesopotamian Valley. From that time till now, the most common form of government is kings. They go by different names, Pharaoh, Caesar, Kaiser. And the most easiest way to describe it are kings are glorified gang leaders. And it's a hierarchical system. You're friends with the king, you're more equal, you're not friends with the king, you're less equal, you're not the king, you're dead. When ancient Israel came out of Egypt around 1400 BC for 400 years they had no king. It's a total anomaly in world history. And everybody's taught the law and they're personally accountable to God to follow the law. God's watching everyone. He wants you to be fair. He's going to hold you accountable. In the future. Now God knew they would sin. So once a year they had the day of atonement and the sacrifice, the animal, the blood was put on the mercy seat. And that's foreshadowing Jesus, he's our atonement. But this idea that Israel was a self governing system until the priests went woke and stopped teaching the law, you say really? Yeah. Here's Eli, the high priest. His own sons are sleeping with women in the tent where the ark of the covenant is. Every man does what's right in their own eyes turns into chaos and they ask for a king. And Samuel cries and the Lord tells him, they didn't reject you, they rejected me. Why is this important? The Puritans that founded New England looked to this pre King Saul part of the Bible as the model for America. And the kings of Europe look to the after King Saul part of the Bible. And so King Saul's the divider between Europe and America. They're both looking to the Bible, one's looking top down. They want a theocracy. You believe the way the government tells you or they're going to cancel you and lock you away in prison. Where in America. Our father said no, we want freedom of conscience. We want the before King Saul example. Right? Everybody's taught the law and personally accountable to God to follow it.
A
You know, the Bible, the best selling book in the history of the world as well. But today I see too many people that want to adapt the Bible to their worldview, not the other way around. I think that's problematic, Bill. I think when people try to adapt the Bible and say well this is what I believe and you say well that's not in the book, they get angry, they get hateful frankly. And on Christmas I think it's important to point to the fact that the word is the word, isn't it?
E
Exactly. And you know, if I were to sum up all of western Judeo Christian political thought from the Bible it comes down to one word, individual. That you have a worth as an individual because you are made in the image of God and this God is not a respecter person. So everybody's equal. Every other belief system, your worth is dependent on what group you're in. In India they have a caste system and if you're in the highest caste of Brahmin, you're near divinity. And if you're in the lowest caste, you got to take care of the dead bodies and the sewage and, and even if you do a good job, you can never graduate. You're stuck in this Class China had the 100 family names and if you have that last name, boy, you're a somebody. And if not, right? And today that's the ccp. If you're one of them, you're in the Islamic culture. If you're a Muslim male, you're worth more than a Muslim female who's worth more than a kafir infidel. But in the Bible you' worth something simply because you're made in the image of God. The communist system, right, Is that your worth is dependent on your utility. If you can contribute to the state or the group, you're, you're worth more. If not your voter off the island, they pull the plug on you. In America you're worth something because you're made in the image of God. That is a Bible idea. And this God is not a respecter of persons. That's the source of equality, right?
A
And this brings me back to the Constitution, the close ties. My rights do not come from another man. They come from the Creator, they come from God. And that's the principle, the foundational principle of the United States of America isn't.
E
Is. You know, during the Nuremberg trials they're trying to find these Nazis guilty for killing Jews. And they said, well we were just following the laws of our country and in our secular society the laws of the country are supreme. And they're like, okay, we have to have a law that's higher than the laws of a country. Well, it's all the laws combined. So they create United nations saying well this is more powerful. But wait a second. The United nations is made up of countries. Some are small, some are big. And the big ones with their, their oil money or their communist China Silk Road initiative, they'll go to the small countries and say you vote the way we tell you to vote or we're not going to do business with you. And and so they co opted and so there, there's no, it's only when you have rights from a Creator. And there's a great quote from Eisenhower. He said in some lands the state claims to be the author of human rights. If the state gives rights, it can and inevitably will take away those rights. Our founding fathers had to refer to the Creator in order to make their revolutionary experiment make sense. We had to claim we had rights from a Creator and the government was infringing on those rights. Therefore we were justified in rebelling against the King of England.
A
It sure. We got about just over a minute left. Bill, what is the future of Christianity? There was a resurgence you mentioned Charlie Kirk. There's been a resurgence in church attendance and people buying Bibles. Big resurgence. What's the future of Christianity here and around the world?
E
Yeah, well, God always seems to wait until it looks hopeless and then he raises up little nobodies with faith and courage to do big things. A Gideon, a David, a Moses. At the time of Jesus's birth, we had a global government with the Roman emperor and he wanted to track everybody. We call the census a tax enrollment. If he could have access to 5G and cell phones, I bet he'd been tempted to use that. But in the middle of this one world government Roman Empire wanting to track every citizen, it required Mary and Joseph to go to Bethlehem to be counted and fulfilled the prophecy of Jesus being born in Bethlehem. And so God has a plan and we need to just love him and submit to him and be willing to take some heat. And then the gospel is God is just, he cannot help it. He's just. Which means he has to judge every sin, but he's loving that he provided the Lamb, his own son, to take the judgment for the sin in our place.
A
Everything old is new again, isn't it? Bill Federer Merry Christmas to you, my friend.
E
A Merry Christmas to you, Steve, and all the viewers.
A
Thank you very much. Everything old is new again. They'd use that 5G don't go anywhere. This Christmas Day edition of America's Voice Live will continue after a moment.

Christmas, of course, has themes of faith, whether that's the subtle motifs or explicit references, such as this day marking the birth of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. According to all of these great traditions, while some treat Christmas as a day to socialize and open presents exclusively, we would be remiss if we didn't talk about the ways in which some use faith as a means to recognize the holiday. It's so important. Joining me to discuss is the host of America Shines. Here in real America's Voice, Bishop Aubrey Shines. Aubrey, nice to see you, my friend. Merry Christmas.
F
Yeah, Merry Christmas to you and your family. Steve, always great being with you.
A
You know, it feels like we've been under attack here the last few years when it comes to Christmas, but. But I feel like Christmas is back a little bit this year. You kind of feel that same thing in the air.
F
Oh, yeah, absolutely. Remember, our politics, not just here, but abroad, is always the conscious expression of what Christ or Christmas is really all about. And Steve, I think a lot of people, we kind of get this Hallmark ideology kind of etched in our minds when we think of Christmas, which is, it's not a bad thing. But if we go to the original text and we just read it, it goes something like this, Steve, for this purpose was Christ born that he may destroy the works of Satan. Well, it gives you the idea we're in a battle. So why is it now seemingly kind of calmed out? Because we now have a commander in chief as well. He's in the Oval Office and he's not antithetical to Christianity. As a matter of fact, whether he himself is a strong practicing Christian or not is not really even the point. The fact that he's friendly towards the Christian community, pushing Christian ideas, whether it's abortion, immigration, all these things are Christian centered. So he's making sure our borders are clean. No one is coming over. These are Christ centered ideas, therefore, or we're now living in a society where Christmas seems to be a little more breathable. Kudos to President Donald J. Trump for helping us facilitate that.
A
You know, the critics say, Aubrey, that, you know, not having a wide open border and, you know, trying to crack down by ICE and border patrol, that's anti Christian behavior. And I'm like, you know, I don't remember reading the Bible, Thou shalt be a doormat. I didn't read that one. Maybe you can correct me on my theology here, but I don't have that one in front of me.
F
So it's not. And here's what the Bible literally says about it. As a matter of fact, Moses warned the people, do not open your borders. And then he tells why. He says, if you do it, eventually you will become subservient to the individuals that are coming in. Again, if we were to even look at the belief of heaven, Heaven has a border. If you're a Christian, you can't get there simply because you are doing some cool works. No, Christ paid the cost for that saying, and I quote now Christ, he says I am the door. No one is going to come through this door except by and through me. So again, when we hear the rhetoric, well that's not Christian like. No, actually it is Christian like to make sure that one knows who is coming in and out of one's home. Steve, that is Christian as anything else, my friend.
A
Yeah, you know, a lot of people make comments about the Bible. You know this Aubrey, as well as anyone. Well, the Bible says this or the Bible says that and you're like, you know, I didn't find that passage. I think at this point, you know, I'm in the process right now, funny we should say this, of reading the New Testament again, I'm in Luke today just because I think it's something good to do in Christmas season. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. I'm going through those and it's a very telling. No matter how many times you've read it, there's always something new. You pick up on another nuance or another parable. Right. I mean it's a good time of the year to pick up the good book.
F
It is. And what I believe will happen with you and with others, you'll become almost addicted to it because you realize, wait a minute, maybe I need to kind of begin to measure the things that I was taught maybe as a child and or through society. A lot of people try to speak on behalf of the Bible. They don't know the Bible. They say, well, Christians shouldn't do this. But when you kind of check their list, you find out they're not Christian and or they don't attend church anywhere but yet they want to have just this full throated concept of what Christ and his followers and the apostles were all about. Everything, Steve, that you and I are dealing with right here in this nation, whether it's border patrol, whether it's fathers taking care of their children, whether it's our military, those are biblical ideas. They didn't just poof up in the last 200 plus years because America was here. We learned these things not just from scripture, but when we study our founders. All of them without exception, had a Christ centered ideal. I always tell people, Steve, go back and look at our 1313 colonies. Every one of them recognized Christ. Declaration of Independence. You'll see God mentioned several times there. This nation was built right? Foundation. Yeah. And what you and I are looking at, really Steve, we're looking at a country that's trying to go against the very foundation in which we were built on. There's the clash. And that's why all of us, you go back to Luke, Mark, John, all of them, and go, wait a minute, why are we here? Why is this country here is built on that very Christ centered idea?
A
Yeah. You know the TikTok and Instagram critics of Christianity, you don't put too much faith in them, my friends. They'll tell you things that are there that aren't there. They do the same thing with the Constitution of this country every day. Oh, the Constitution says this. Have you actually read the document? Because it doesn't say those things. Have you actually read the Bible or actually know what you're talking about? No, you don't. And so in this time, to celebrate the birth of Christ, I say read the book. Read the book. Ivy and I are reading the book. We do it every night. We read a few pages every night. It's just kind of become, and you're right, it becomes addictive. It has become our habit now more than ever. I'll give you the last word here, Aubrey.
F
Yeah. So, Steve, I would love for your audience to grab this concept. Here's what Christ said at the very end of the book. John on an island, he's writing and he says this and I quote, he says, until Christ dominates, and I'm not talking about force like Islam, free will. He says, until Christ is seen in every sphere of our life and our lifestyles, we really won't know his lordship. I hope people will begin to read the number one selling book has been for hundreds of years.
E
Still is.
F
And that is the Holy Bible.
A
The best selling book in the history of the world, the Holy Bible. You got it.
F
Yeah.
A
Bishop Aubrey shines. Always a pleasure, my friend. Merry Christmas.
F
Yeah, Merry Christmas, Steve. God bless you guys.
A

And welcome back to this Christmas Day edition of america's Voice live. So glad to have you here. I know you've got a lot of things going on and we appreciate spending well, spending Christmas with you. As the new year inches closer, it's important that Republicans stay focused on the task at hand and that is winning the 2026 midterms. Republicans currently hold the majority by a razor thin margin, as you know. And to ensure that President Trump can continue to make America great again, we must ensure that he has a Congress who will support his America first agenda. Join me now to discuss this President of the Republican Caucus, Jim Pfaff. We were just talking in the break there, Jim. You know, a lot of do nothing Republicans, that used to be a term for Republicans, the do nothing Congress, the do nothing, you know, party. We've got to have some action here and we've gotten some good things done. The big beautiful bill, that's fine. It's a nice start. If we had another reconciliation bill, that'd be a nice start. Really need to focus on health care. We have an opportunity now to get rid of this broken thing called Obamacare as a country and move back to free market principles and get people to have better health care for less money. A lot of opportunities here, Jim. I hope they take advantage of them.
F
I do, too. I know that our organization, I've got some friends and experts that we've been working on a plan that we want to be telling people about in the beginning of the new year. There is a real opportunity through reconciliation to really fix the problem that is Obamacare. You know, Obamacare really was a, how do I say this, not quite a Trojan horse, but a ticking time bomb, intentionally so. It was meant to help lead us and find political opportunity to go to single payer health care. The kind of systems they have in the UK And Canada where the government decides what your health care is going to be, when you can get services and this sort of thing, thing, if we put it in the free market and we allow people to know what the prices are, just that one thing alone could radically and positively transform healthcare. That's why, you know, Donald Trump, beginning with his Pennsylvania speech earlier in the month, talking and other things, talking about letting people put money into health savings accounts and that sort of thing. I mean, that's that is a brilliant idea answer. But it's a good first step.
A
Well, I think Rand Paul has another part of the answer. Have health associations where you take somebody like Costco with 44 million members and say, look, we're going to negotiate on behalf of our members better health care rates with United Health Care or Blue Cross or Blue Shield or any of the big companies, right? And say, look, we've got strength in numbers. I think that's another key to getting prices down and getting better health care. Look, we cannot continue to harvest tax dollars and give 20% off the top to the insurance companies. Their profits go up, our care goes down while our prices continue to increase. It is a failed system. You're right, Jim. Designed to fail from day one, in my belief, because they thought if we can get this through, then we know it'll fail. Then we'll force socialized government healthcare on people. And then we've got them. Because once we've got them, then we can control them more. Because it's not about health care, it's about control.
F
That's right. And even Margaret Thatcher, like, what a wonderful conservative free market thinker. Friedrich von Hayek was a friend of hers and inspired her. And she still never would make any move to get rid of the National Health Service, which is their single payer healthcare system in the uk. Even she wouldn't do it. And she was the iron Lady. So, yeah, once you go down that path, it's almost impossible to get back. But Republicans have an opportunity, if they would do something positive here to inspire the American people to remember, okay, we like this Donald Trump guy and we're still with him. We might take a chance on you too, because that's, that's the game in 2026. The American people are wondering if they want to take a chance on Republicans. They did with Donald Trump, and rightly so. And I think they're mostly happy with that. But they don't know if they're happy with Republicans yet. And Republicans are really good at not giving them reasons to be happy. So that's, that's the challenge.
A
Well, you know, the, the market was up 500 points yesterday. It's up 600 plus today, knocking on the door of 50,000. We might just get there in the next couple of days because of the rate cuts that have happened. We see the markets are doing great, we see the gas is cheap. It has really worked out for the American people these economic plans. But the Republicans are lousy, Jim, at marketing themselves, at messaging. The Democrats are always locked up Together. Choom, choom, choom, choom, choom. The message is always the same. Yes, 25 Democrats on a Monday. What is their word of the day? Bam, there it is. Is Republicans need to do a better job. Can Republicans not find K Street? I've been to Washington. I can find K Street. I can find. So you can craft a message. Got to do a better job because these midterms are as critical as any election we've been through recently.
F
Well, I actually, I think, Casey, K Street is their problem. You know, when I was working on Capitol Hill with former congressman Tim Huels camp, Tom delay came in our office one time and he, he said, said how much he regretted having instituted the K Street project, which was after the Gingrich, during the Gingrich speakership, an effort to take the power of K Street away from Democrats. Well, at the end of the day, Republicans are in bed with K Street and a lot of members of Congress who make $174,000 a year vote really bad because they want to make sure they don't anger K Street so they can get that $300,000 a year job, job. And about a third of rolling over members do such a thing or at least attempt it. That actually, I think that that's the most. One of the most corrupting influences is that desire to maintain paycheck because you leave your. If you're not independently wealthy, you have nothing to fall back on once you leave college. But that's got to change.
A
That's got to change. And it's the same thing with the insurance industry that has all these lobbyists saying, oh, extend those subsidies, extend those subsidies. Same problems. You gotta leave it there, my friend. Merry Christmas.
F
Thank you, Steve. You too.
A
Greatly appreciate it, my friend from the Republican caucus. I'm gonna take a break right here and be back right after this.

Welcome back to this Christmas Day edition of American America's Voice. Live talks to end the nearly four year War between Russia and Ukraine remain stalled as negotiators grapple with territorial demands, including control of the eastern Donetsk region and other occupied areas. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has pushed back against pressure to cede land, insisting that any peace deal must respect Ukraine's sovereignty on the battlefield. Fighting continues, with both sides claiming tactical moves, including counteroffensive operations around Kupyansk in the northeast east. In Washington and among Western allies, conservative voices argue that a strong negotiating position backed by robust defense and economic measures is key to a lasting peace and deterring future aggression. Join me to discuss. This is the founder and CEO of American Ukraine Strategic Partners, Davis Richardson. Davis, Merry Christmas. Thank you for being here today. You know, oftentimes there will be a cessation of hostilities on Christmas. They happen to during both the world wars, but it's not always the case. It's a sad thing that this war just drags on, isn't it?
G
Absolutely. It's very sad indeed. But first off, Merry Christmas to you and Merry Christmas to your viewers. And the last few Christmases have been very tough for the Ukrainian people. You're dealing with major shortages as it relates to the energy sector and Russia continuing to target civilian infrastructure. You know, Ukraine right now is being run on a lot of generators and, you know, heat for the winter is very, very important. And it's up for, it's up to the Ukrainian people and the United States to stand up to this type of brutality that we're seeing from the Russian military.
A
You know, the problem here is the problem. I, I made clear on this program two years ago, three years ago, Russia stalled in its advances, but it's not going backwards either. I don't know if you get to peace without ceding the Donbas, without ceding portions of eastern Ukraine, I don't know how you can get there. Look, I don't, I don't, frankly, trust either side. I don't trust Putin. I'm not a big fan of Zelensky, and I don't see that we get to a peace deal here unless Ukraine says sovereignty in the national borders are adjusted. Your thoughts on that?
G
Well, and oftentimes in the best kind of deals, as President Trump outlines in the Art of the deal, you know, both sides feel pain. You know, that being said, as it relates to territorial concessions on Ukraine's side, there's no reason for them to give up territory that Russia hasn't conquered. You know, obviously it's a different, it's a point of discussion as it relates to Crimea and other areas which are currently under Russian occupation. That being said, for areas where there's still a front line, where Ukraine remains active and pushing back this type of brutality, I don't see a reason why Ukraine should have to preemptively relinquish territory on that front. So, again, best agreements, both sides feel some kind of pain, and there do need to be proper security guarantees that the United States puts in with Ukraine. So we don't just have another repeat of this in a few years.
A
Yeah, clearly, Ukraine made a deal with the world basically after the fall of the Warsaw Pact, 1991. Shortly after that, Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons because they were told they were promised the territorial integrity would be respected. It hasn't been. But again, we're in this spot where I don't know how you move forward, and I agree with you. You shouldn't give up land that hasn't been conquered. But what about that land that has been taken by Russia, Crimea, since 2014? What do you do?
G
Well, I think, you know, President Trump is, is doing his best right now to look at all options that are currently available, including with the Czar Parisia power plant and including the unlocking of frozen Russian assets to fund Ukraine's reconstruction. We see a tremendous role for the private sector to actually come in and play the role that USAID was supposed to be playing with providing aid and economic development opportunities to these frontline communities, but largely failed under the previous administration. With President Trump, you're seeing an emphasis on dfc, the developmental financial corporation that was actually started during his presidency. And this looks to de risk political investments in the region and essentially operate as a US Sovereign wealth fund. So you can't have reconstruction without proper both security guarantees and also political risk insurance. So I think we'll be seeing a lot of role from the DFC going forward as well with this.
A
What do you think the timeframe on is getting something accomplished? I mean, Donald Trump has made this his primary focus. He's ended some other wars. We've seen conflicts come to a head and to an end for the Republic of Congo and Rwanda, most recently at the White House. But is there a timetable here? It's a process, I realize, but as this process drags on, people die.
G
Well, Russian President Vladimir Putin is certainly a master manipulator, and he certainly dragged this on longer than anybody wants to see in terms of, oh, we're this close to getting to a peace agreement. Keep in mind, these negotiations right now are not necessarily involving Russia. It's between the US And Ukraine and in terms of what gets presented to Russia. So we know that Russia is certainly stalling these up and using that time in the negotiations to kill more Ukrainians and to buy more time and have more leverage. So President Trump understands peace through strength, and we really need to be seeing more of that because this is a killer that you're dealing with.
A
Yeah. So again, it's a process. I don't know how we get there. Davis. It's. It's been a long and horrible war. As it grinds on, I think grind is the word I certainly hope for peace in the new year. I'll give you the last word.
G
Well, your previous guest was speaking on Merry Christmas. And you know, the United States is a Christian nation. Ukraine is also a Christian nation, and a lot of Christians have been killed during this by, by the Russian military. They've deliberately targeted Protestant churches, Ukrainian Orthodox churches. There's a really great documentary by the filmmaker Stephen Moore, who we've met in Ukraine and has done a terrific job with advocating for these issues. So, you know, Russia has done a very successful PR job at framing itself as a, as a Christian nation. But Christian nations don't invade their neighbors and kill Christians. Ukraine is, you know, absolutely leading the fight in terms of both democracy but also Judeo Christian values like your guest previously touched on on.
A
Davis, thank you so much for being here again. Merry Christmas to you. We hope the war ends soon.
G
Merry Christmas to you as well. Thank you very much for having me.
A
Don't go anywhere. This Christmas Day edition of America's Voice Live will continue after a short break.

Welcome back to America's Voice Live on this Christmas day. The United States has significantly stepped up pressure on Venezuelan president, president and dictator Nicolas Maduro's regime amid mounting geopolitical tension. Earlier this month, the Treasury Department slapped fresh sanctions on three of Maduro's wives, nephews and several shipping companies tied to Venezuela's oil sector, accusing them of aiding a corrupt narco terrorist network and facilitating illegal and illicit activities. This move follows US Forces seizing an oil tanker near Venezuela's coast that had been transporting sanctioned crude oil. Step Washington says as part of the broader effort to disrupt drug trafficking and hold Maduro accountable. Join to discuss this, retired Air Force colonel and host of the Rob Manus Show, Colonel Rob Manus. Colonel, thank you for being here, and Merry Christmas.
H
Merry Christmas, Steve. Thanks for having me.
A
All right. So, I mean, I read on social media that we're criminals because we stopped a boat with millions of dollars of oil that is sanctioned to us will under the, you know, under the terms of engagement that we've put in place. Did we do anything wrong here? Because if you read social media on the left, you'd think, man, we committed a crime here. Your thoughts?
H
No, absolutely not. This is well within both international law and laws of armed conflict, Steve. You know, we're on the high seas. This is sanctioned oil. This vessel was illegally transporting this oil, and we have every right to not only stop it, but seize the vessel and seize its cargo. And that's exactly what we did. This is not anything that the United States military hasn't been doing for many, many years around the world to enforce sanctions. It's happened many, many times in the Middle east, in the Persian Gulf, the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, and those areas. And it's going to happen again. So it's not just about blowing up drug boats, is it?
A
No, it's not. And you know, I want to touch on that because I want to talk about the Maritime Drug Law enforcement act of 1986. You know, they say, well, under what authority? Those on the left say, under what authority? Well, under the authority of the Maritime Drug Law enforcement Act of 1986, authored, by the way, by a guy by the name of Chuck Schumer when he was in the House of Representatives. In fact, he co authored the it and sponsored the bill that not only made this part of our, I don't know, our arsenal of weapons to stop the drug trafficking, he championed it. So did Joe Biden in 1989 telling George H.W. bush, you need to hit them where they live. Well, gee, Rob, we're doing that now and they've changed the page. Oh, no, no, no. This is illegal. Look, Chuck Schumer, you authored the bill that made this part of the NDAA of 1986. Here we are. And by the way, blowing up drug boats was real common in the 80s and 90s. We did it a lot. So this is Nothing new. The only thing different is that it's Donald Trump doing it, and they hate anything he does.
H
That's nothing new at all. You might have noticed that the United States Coast Guard led the operation to seat, board and seize the oil tanker, and that because they were operating under that law and Chuck Schumer could say whatever he wants, the left can scream however much they want. They just have Trump derangement syndrome, like a lot of Republicans apparently do, too. And it's just that anything Donald Trump happens to try as president, United States, has to be wrong, and we're going to oppose it. Unfortunately, though, that is very dangerous for the country and for our ourselves from a domestic, domestic situation. Steve, this is not the time to further divide the American people. This is a good time, an opportunity here at Christmas time to reach out to one another and talk to one another from a sane perspective and recognize.
A
Wouldn'T that be something.
H
Our president has the best interests of this country and the American people in mind when he's conducting these operations. And that's exactly what it's supposed to.
A
You know. My question to those that are opposed to taking out drug boats is whose side you're on. Well, it's just cocaine. Apparently, they missed a headline that this fentanyl is sprinkled in cocaine in marijuana. It's put into fake prescription medications like Xanax or opioids, and people die. In fact, today there's somebody alive right now that's gonna die because they're gonna smoke a joint with fentanyl in it that they're unaware of, and they're going to die today before they the hour strikes midnight. That's going to happen. Rob, the focus is on the wrong thing. What about the families, the mothers, the fathers, the sons, the daughters that lose people to this deadly scourge every single day? That's where the focus needs to be, in my belief. Your thoughts?
H
Oh, absolutely. I think the President used a number the other day when I was watching one of his press conferences, and he said, for every time we destroy one of these drug boats, we're saving 25,000American lives. If you want to quantify it from that perspective. And think about this, in Vietnam, we lost, what, 67,000Americans in that war. And you're talking about every time you hit one of these boats, and we've hit about 30 of them now, you're saving 25,000American lives, most of them young people. That is an amazing statistic. And more importantly, it just shows you where the heart of the American people were when they voted for Donald Trump and put him back in office and this miraculous victory that he had, becoming only the second president of the United States to serve a second term after a gap in terms and under the circumstances that he was in, having been indicted, they wanted to put him in prison. They tried to kill him. They destroyed his family, tried to destroy his family. They've gone after his friends and supporters and members of his administration legally and really hurt a lot of people in order to get at him. And he still has the heart and love for America and for the American people to step out and give this kind of order and conduct this kind of operation, even though that he's going to be criticized, maybe even be facing legal issues again. And he does it anyway. And it's all out of love for this country and her people.
A
Rob Manus, always appreciate talking to you, my friend again. Merry Christmas. Thank you for taking time today. We truly appreciate it.
H
Thank you, Steve. Merry Christmas to our whole country.
A
There you go. All right, after the break, we'll have a story that reminds us of just how wonderful America is. Plus your answers to your America's Voice Question of the day what is your favorite Christmas movie? Think about it. I'll be right back.

All right, what makes America wonderful? We do it every day to put hope in your soul and a smile on your face. How about that? Today's Stories comes to us from Louisa County High School, where an automotive club gives back to its community. An automotive tech program offered at Louisa County High school gives the 11th grade class cohort hands on experience with vehicles and the intricacies of them, teaching them every little thing from basic mechanical parents repairs to how a car's electrical system works, which always stymied me. Furthermore, the Students often repair cars for teachers, fellow students, and local residents at a reduced price, making for active learning as the students see how their efforts really help real people. And in the spirit of giving, we wanted to highlight Louisa High's giveaway program where the students work on a donated vehicle and then turn around and give it to single moms who have transportation problems. An effort that brings genuine smiles all the way around. Hands on experience is the best way to learn. And the students at Louisa High's Automotive Tech are getting enough of that. But to then turn around, use their skills for a good cause reminds us of what makes America wonderful. And giving. It is giving, isn't it? What is your favorite Christmas movie, by the way? What is your favorite Christmas movie? That's the question of the day. Nancy Levi Smith says a Christmas story for laughs and for action. It's Die Hard. There it is. Die Hard. I think it's a Christmas movie. People say it's not a Christmas movie. I think it is. Coya Ketchum, Year Without a Santa Claus. I'm not familiar with that one. Did I miss something on that one, guys? I must have missed that film. Deborah Fowler writes Christmas story with Darren McGavin, Home Alone 2 in New York. Love those. Christine Longmire, hands down a Christmas story. You'll shoot your eye out. Yeah. Where's your Red Rider? Cade Zagat, Christmas Vacation with the original two Home Alone movies a close second and third. I love John Hughes movies. Fair enough. Sarah Strickland has this. Definitely. Christmas Vacation. That is a classic. No question. Becca Williams, It's a Wonderful Life. That's my personal favorite. Becca. There it is. It's a wonderful life. No, Mr. Potter, I don't have to think about it at all. The answer is no. See, no. That's the best I got. Michael Wiggins, A Christmas story from 1983. Patty Gadopoulos Davis, It's a Wonderful Life. It is a Wonderful Life. Patty, There it is. Scott King, Scrooge, You? Yeah, I don't know. Anyhow, from all of us here at Real America's Voice, we wish you a merry Christmas. Glad you could spend some time with us here today. I hope all of your Christmas wishes come true. And from all of us here, have a wonderful and merry Christmas.
