Welcome to America's Voice LIVE. I am Bo Davidson filling in for Steve Gruber today. Today is Tuesday, the 30th of December, in the year of our Lord 2025. Let's get into today's top stories. And as always, thank you for joining me here on REAL America's Voice. We truly appreciate it and are grateful for you, our audience. First, we'll discuss the Russia and Ukraine conflict. President Trump has signaled that his meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy went well, which hopefully means an end to the conflict as a whole. And also, independent journalist Nick Shirley released a tantalizing piece of investigative journalism which centralizes on fraud in Minnesota, specifically tied to daycare and learning centers stationed across various Somali communities within the state. And then later, Texas redistricting efforts have seen some success, especially with the Supreme Court's ruling earlier this month. But what will these efforts bring into the midterms? We'll find out all that on the docket for today. But as always, we start here. President Trump is ratcheting up his pressure campaign against Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, making clear that the US does not recognize the legitimacy of his rule. Even as China and Russia step in to defend one of their closest allies in the hemisphere. The Trump administration has dramatically expanded its military presence in the region, launching strikes in recent months against suspected drug smuggling boats off Latin America's coast. Earlier this month, Trump went even further, announcing a complete blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers entering or leaving Venezuela. While the White House says the operations are part of a broader effort to choke off the flow of illegal drugs into the United States, the strategy also appears designed to cut off Maduro's financial lifelines and force him from power. This marks a renewed push by Trump, who sanctioned Venezuela heavily during his first term and recognized opposition leader Juan Guido as the country's legitimate president. Trump said Monday the pressure campaign would likely be enough to compel Maduro to step aside now. Meanwhile, China and Russia are accusing the US of violating international law after multiple Venezuelan oil tankers were seized, with another reportedly linked to a shadow fleet still being pursued. Joining me to discuss this is former Navy SEAL and chief talent officer at Overwatch Mission Critical, Mike Sorelli. Mike, thank you so much for being with me today. Just before the New year, you know, President Trump recently announced the first land strike in Venezuela on a port facility that reportedly traffics drugs and contraband. What do you make of this decisive land strike?
Steve Gruber
I think it was the next logical step, one, you know, both think of it this way, to maintain surveillance over a very large ocean, trying to interdict small boats. Some are naturally going to get past your reconnaissance. So if you take the next logical step, go to where they maintain the boats, where they load the boats and the boats ultimately depart, depart en route to the United States or other regions to resupply or to refuel. So it was the next logical step. And what I foresee now is that they will continue to hit what we call these nodes, these docks, and rob them of as many docks or nodes as possible from which they launch these boats. So a next logical step or progression in this campaign against Maduro.
Bo Davidson
Mike, how do they find out these locales? Is this coming from on the ground intelligence? Is it from surveillance, from the air? How do they know exactly where these ports are?
Steve Gruber
Yeah, usually it's a multi layer of intelligence that overlaps one another to confirm not only locations, but the use of the locations, the illicit activity that's happening at the locations. And once they have multiple layers of intelligence, you basically have a package or proof strong enough to conduct those strikes against those locations.
Bo Davidson
Mike, you mentioned sort of this being a next logical step. So if we take this a step further, do you think that more land strikes may follow if Maduro continues to refuse to step down from power? And essentially how far is President Trump willing to go on this, do you believe?
Steve Gruber
Yeah, I think the question is, does this mean the next logical step is what you just said, additional land strikes, or is it a potential land war in an invasion? And I don't think we're at that point. What President Trump is doing is he's applying pressure not only militarily but economically, taking out these oil takers as well as the illicit drugs, which is, you mentioned, a lifeline economically for Maduro. So diplomatically with the sanctions, they're putting as much pressure on Maduro as possible. And when I think we hear President Trump say Maduro stepped down, he's given them the option to step down. I think that's also code for the people of Venezuela to rise up and affect regime change. But everything that Trump and this administration in the Department of War, alongside the Justice Department are doing is basically regime destabilization. And what we hope to do is to get it to a point where the people from Venezuela rise up and conduct a regime change on their own without a shot, proverbially being fired on land.
Bo Davidson
Well, aside from these land strikes that you've been mentioning and strikes in the ocean, of course, which we know about, President Trump also ordered a blockade of ships entering and leaving Venezuela, which has led to the seizure of multiple oil tankers working as ghost ships while carrying sanctioned oil. Mike, how effective are these tactics towards pressuring Maduro out of power? Because it seems like it's a multifaceted, deliberate, step by step plan. And do you think it's working?
Steve Gruber
Yeah, it's a masterclass. That's what we're watching happen in near real time with these tankers. If you want to impact anyone, if you want to make them, if you interrupt their thought or decision making process, if you want to put pressure on them, hit them where their wallet is, hit them in their bank account. And that's what we're doing. We're hitting Maduro's bottom line. The actual physical conduct of taking down these tankers, from a military point of view in my past is not difficult, but it is a thing of beauty because we're hitting one of his primary economic sources, which is the oil, either exports or imports. I do foresee, again, much like additional land strikes, these nodes, these docks that we will see further tankers taken down through the Justice Department and the sanctions, which again will put more economic pressure on Maduro.
Bo Davidson
I remember, I believe that the conditions that President Trump laid out for Maduro to step down, he did not accept. And whatever plan Maduro presented to President Trump, he did not accept. So I guess my next question is, in your professional opinion, based on what you know about this, do you think eventually that Maduro will step down or do you believe this situation has to necessarily escalate further?
Steve Gruber
Well, I think the best thing we could do is go back to sort of history examples, especially in this region. It's Noriega. You know, they were putting the pressure on Noriega and Panama in the 80s and ultimately, you know, he wouldn't step down until we, we conducted a full scale invasion. I hope it does not come to that point, especially for our troops in their safety, but that option is always on the table. I would consider that in this instance, what we call the nuclear option, that if Maduro, let's say after four months of continued pressure, won't step down, the people from Venezuela won't rise up, then you could see the military start to plan and implement with the approval of the President, a full scale invasion to remove Maduro by force.
Bo Davidson
Okay, so on that note, then I'll piggyback off of that then. Mike, if this situation does escalate as I propose that it potentially could, then would it be possible or do you see a situation where US Troops could be on the ground in Venezuela sometime in 2026?
Steve Gruber
Yeah, I never say never. Could you foresee that? Yes. If this approach through diplomatic, economic information and military pressure does not remove Maduro or force him to step down, then yes, we could see that invasion. Now, the Venezuelan military stands no chance against the United States military from a conventional force to a conventional force. But what would the military do in this instance, very similar to Iraq, is they take their uniforms off and it becomes a guerrilla warfare tactics by the part of the Venezuelans, which could mean a prolonged engagement which the Americans, let's just talk US Citizens don't want, want another prolonged war. They're tired from the global war on terror. So Trump has to be cognizant of that. He's got to take that into account that he is the president that just ended several wars or resulted in, through his negotiations, peace accords. He doesn't want to get marred down by a conflict that he started.
Bo Davidson
Well, you're absolutely right. And that's actually a great segue into my next question, which is one to ask you is, you know, people elected Donald Trump because he was a peacetime president and you just mentioned a number of the wars that he has actually ended. He campaigned, campaigned on this. It was a promise made, it was a promise kept. So how are those supporters of the president gonna look at this being people who have no interest in getting us involved in Foreign wars. I mean, I think a lot of the base who said, hey man, America first. Why are we getting involved in Venezuela? What's so critical about it? I think we all understand we don't want illegal drugs, illicit drugs pouring into the country, that's obvious. But there's gotta be some other strategic reasons, maybe oil is one of them. But how does this resonate with his supporters that don't wanna be involved in foreign wars?
Steve Gruber
Well, let me argue in defense of the President and I actually support what he's doing right now. And this is why one, we spent over two decades involved with the global war on terror. We were very focused on foreign wars in a different hemisphere. We turned our eye away from our own backyard, the Western hemisphere. So what President Trump is doing is he is resetting Western US, Western doctrine. For too long we've allowed not only the narco terrorisms, the cartels to just flood our borders with drugs and that is long overdue. And he's the first president to take action. But to allow Venezuela to be a proxy or forward staging base for foreign adversaries like Russia, Iran and China, we've allowed this for way too long. So he is resetting Western doctrine or Western hemisphere doctrine, and ultimately saying that our foreign adversaries are not welcome here. So this was necessary timing? Yes, he's ill afforded timing based off of the global war on terror and people's just tired nature of war. But this was necessary. If not him, then who? And if not now, then when is the question. So ultimately the President made a strong decision to put this pressure on Maduro to cut off illicit trade or illicit drugs, as well as denying our foreign adversaries access to the Western hemisphere. It was necessary.
Bo Davidson
And so Mike, let's take this to the fullest extent, which let's say Maduro does step down or he's forced out of power. What happens if there is regime change? Will we see a new economic pipeline, and I am using that word literally and figuratively in Venezuela, does it reset the relationship you're talking about? Does the US benefit now economically? Do we establish a new stable democracy and capitalist democracy in the region? What happens in a great post, Maduro Venezuela, great question.
Steve Gruber
Similar. We would want to see a democratic party step in. We would want to see democracy in our Western hemisphere in South America prevail. Ultimately we would be involved to aid and support with that transition from a despotic government to a democratic government. And yes, we all know that Venezuela is rich in resources, especially oil. So it does open up economic ties at a greater rate with Venezuela that not only benefits America, but benefits their people. So the economic development that our allies receive by being partners with the US Speaks volumes. It has and that's why people want to be friends with the United States. We have a populace that likes to buy goods. You know, we are one of the largest importer of foreign goods in the world. So those benefits come with being an ally of the United States. And we ultimately would love to see democracy spread across South America. And arguably, if Venezuela, if the rest of South American America can watch Venezuela become a strong democratic government, it does set the sort of business case example for why other governments or other nations in South America should follow.
Bo Davidson
I think you're 100% right, Mike. And as someone who has in law family in Paraguay, where obviously there's capitalism and a democratic government there with President Pena, I think you're seeing a South America that could start to tilt back in the direction of being capitalist democratic. And I think should Venezuela turn that direction, I think it would be a signal and a great thing for South America. So I think you're spot on about that, my friend, former Navy SEAL Mike Sorelli. Thank you so much for joining me, sir, and happy New Year to you.
Steve Gruber
Thanks, Bill.
Bo Davidson
Well, coming up after the break, I will discuss the Russia and Ukraine conflict and how President Trump's latest indication of the meeting between him and Volodymyr Zelenskyy going well could hopefully be conducive towards an end to that conflict. More on that after the break.

Welcome back to America's Voice live. Thanks for joining us today. President Donald Trump says peace talks aimed at ending the war in Ukraine are nearing the finish line after a high level meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Florida at Mar A Lago, the Two leaders met at Mar a Lago, where they highlighted major progress on a proposed 20 point peace framework. While acknowledging key disputes remain, including territory, ceasefire conditions and final approval. From Kyiv, President Trump said negotiations have accelerated in recent weeks and are more advanced than at any previous stage of the conflict. Conflict crediting sustained US Leadership for pushing talks forward. Zelenskyy echoed that optimism, saying negotiators have largely agreed on the structure of a deal. After weeks of diplomacy involving U.S. european and NATO officials, both sides caution, though, that a handful of difficult issues still must be resolved before a final agreement is reached. Joining me to discuss this is former ambassador to Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands, Ambassador Carla Sands. Madam Ambassador, thank you so much for being with me today. President Trump stated that his meeting with Zelensky on Sunday went really, really well. Do you think that a peace deal could potentially happen within the next few months? Are we really at that proposed finish line?
Announcer
Well, certainly we're closer than we were a year ago. Right. And thank God President Trump turned off the faucet of the hundreds of billions of dollars that the Biden administration was sending to Ukraine, hurting American taxpayers and just fueling the flames of that war. So he has Zelensky to the table, he has Putin to the table. And if this war can be resolved, we know the only person that can do it is President Donald Trump.
Bo Davidson
You got that right. Well, Madam Ambassador, I recall the president saying that both leaders have to truly desire peace. I remember him saying that. Do you think in your estimation that both Zelenskyy and Putin can be trusted when they say they want to end the war and maintain peace?
Announcer
Well, Bo, you know, both are from very corrupt countries and neither one is really democratically elected. So do we trust them? Well, I think that we will judge them by their actions. And I think it is in both men's interests to end this war. President Trump is presenting an off ramp. I can't believe how fast President Trump is moving on this issue. If you think about the TikTok, this is his Christmas and New Year's vacation and he's moving at Trump's speed. So it's exciting to see the progress that's being made and the fact that we're now down to more or less details. How does this look to get to peace?
Bo Davidson
Well, and in the end, it seems that Ukraine is going to have to cede some amount of land. That's what it seems like to me. It may be Donbas, but, you know, if Ukraine agrees to do this, it seems like always, every time they agree to something. Russia then moves the goalpost and then it goes back again. Say hypothetically, Trump and Zelensky have reached some sort of land agreement. Do you think Putin accepts that or does he punt the goalpost down? Does he punt the ball again down the field?
Announcer
Well, I think that right now there are two track dialogues with both and we have Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff working with both sides to get this to a good place. I think that it's now sort of getting down to and even according to the Russians, down to details. So that's exciting. The fact is that you, the Ukrainian leader Zelensky was saying just a month ago or so, we refuse to give up any territory. He's now living in the real world and accepting that there's going to have to be some loss of territory. And let's not forget that the European leaders and some Democrats I think in the US Were pushing Zelensky away from accepting that reality. And I think that's one of the realities that will be required by Russia is to give up some of their territory. I mean, some Russia has controlled and since 2014 and the majority Russian speaking people. So it may not feel fair, but this is a way to end this war by resolving the territorial disputes.
Bo Davidson
Well, and President Trump said it to Zelenskyy before at that first meeting, you don't have the cards. And it seems like maybe Zelenskyy's finally realizing that he doesn't have the cards at this money pipeline is going to be cut off. This bigot has to be cut off. Carla, if President Trump can make this peace deal happen, and maybe I should say when, not if, I know this has been his toughest deal. He said it's been the toughest one he's had, then would you consider him and do you think the world should consider him to officially be the president of peace, considering the astounding number of conflicts that he has resolved around the world just in, what was it, just a year of time?
Announcer
Not even a year, Bo. He certainly is already the president of peace. And blessed are the peacemakers, for they will inherit the world world. It's really amazing how President Trump has ended wars and conflicts, even one that heated up recently. And they've now gotten gotten it back to a good place. And these are places that some of them have had disputes and conflicts for hundreds of years. So he's got the world into a much more peaceful place than it was when he arrived in office. And if you look at how both Russia, Europe and the US Are talking to Ukraine about rebuilding Ukraine because it's pretty devastated and we have the 300 billion doll that's Russian funds that are locked in Europe that Russia is potentially contributing to that rebuilding. And then you think about giving a good life back to the Ukrainians and easing the Russian economy off of their wartime footing into more trade, more prosperity for the people because Russia's in not a great place economically. I know they're doing okay on this wartime economy, but maybe we can learn some lessons from them too, about production speed and things like that because we're sort of, we produce, it feels like at the 1990s speed. But Russia and Ukraine are certainly operating in 2025.
Bo Davidson
Well, before I let you go, I really do want to get your thoughts on the potential annexation of Greenland to the US Is that a reality and is this something that the people of Greenland would want? It seems that they've indicated no, but I know that they represent a strategic military side as well. What are your thoughts on, on on that notion?
Announcer
Well, I know President Trump says that we need Greenland for our national security. We haven't even had a first offer to the people of Greenland. There hasn't even been one conversation. And so it will be interesting to see President Trump's new special envoy, Governor Landry, as he begins conversations with the Greenlanders. I do believe that the Danes will try to insert themselves in those conversations because the Danes are terrified to lose control of the world's largest island, although they can't afford to develop it or defend it.
Bo Davidson
That's absolutely right. That's some great thoughts right there. Well, Carlos Sands, former ambassador to Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands, thank you so much for coming on today, madam, and Happy New Year to you.

Welcome back to avl. Let's take a moment to catch you up on some other developments. Last segment we talked about Russia and Ukraine. Well, now let's shift to President Trump wrapping up 2025 by driving peace forward in the Middle East. At Mar a Lago yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called President Trump the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House. Here's Prime Minister Netanyahu.
Steve Gruber
We've never had a friend, even close a friend as President Trump in the White House. I think he's been extraordinary in his friendship and his support for Israel, his principled positions, his willingness to just cut through and get to the essence of things.
Bo Davidson
And I don't say that as a compliment.
Steve Gruber
I just mean it. People have heard me say that behind your back, Mr. President, many times.
Bo Davidson
But I want to say something else.
Steve Gruber
I think we have a partnership, if I can quote you second to none.
Bo Davidson
The two leaders laid out the path ahead for the Gaza peace plan, focusing on phase two and the full disarmament of Hamas. President Trump was clear if Hamas does not disarm as agreed, they'll be hell to pay, he said. It will be horrible for them, really, really bad, and then they have a very short time to comply. Trump sent a strong message to Iran. If they try to rebuild their nuclear or missile programs, America will, quote, knock the hell out of them again. Now, when questioned whether Israel was moving fast enough, Trump backed them 100%. He said, quote, I'm not concerned about anything Israel is doing. They've lived up to the plan. Trump teased expanding the Abraham Accords to include Saudi Arabia and is closing out the year with peace through strength and standing tough with our allies. President Trump signed several bills into law yesterday, signing HR 1043, the La Paz County Solar Energy and Job Creation act, which transfers 3,400 acres of federal land in Arizona to the county for solar development and new jobs. He also signed six other bills into law, extending the marine debris program, reauthorizing the Congressional Award for youth, extending Great Lakes fishery research, improving public access to federal waterways and fishing data, extended land benefits for Alaska native Vietnam era veterans and extended tax relief for disaster affected areas and wrapping up the year strong with wins for energy, the environment, veterans and disaster recovery. And in other news, Hamas confirmed the death of senior command Raed sayyad in an Israeli precision drone strike on his vehicle in Gaza City on December 13. The confirmation was part of a December 29 video that also acknowledged four other senior commanders killed, including the massed spokesperson Abu Obeidah. Saad was head of weapons production for Hamas. A senior Hamas first acknowledged his death on December 14, calling the strike a ceasefire violation. Saad helped mastermind the October 7, 2023 massacre that killed more than 1,200 people and took 251 hostages and ignited the Gaza war, leading to over 70,000 Palestinian deaths, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, and more than 2100 Israeli deaths. The strike killed three other top Hamas leaders, including Sahad. The announcement highlights major losses to Hamas leadership and a new masked figure has stepped into the Abu Obeidah name. The targeting of these top officials demonstrates Israel's superior intelligence and military precision. Let me be blunt. Gold is up around 40% this year. Now, that's not speculation, that's just reality. And if a portion of your savings isn't diversified into gold, you're missing the boat. Because here are the facts. Inflation is still too high, the US Dollar is still too weak and the government debt is insurmountable. This is why central banks are flocking to gold. They're the ones driving prices up to record highs. But it's not too late to buy gold from Birch Gold Group and get in the door now because Birch Gold will help you convert an existing IRA or 401 into a tax sheltered IRA in gold. And you don't pay a dime out of pocket. All you gotta do is text America to 989-898 and claim your free info kit. There's no obligation, just useful information. The best indicator of the future is the past. And gold has historically been a safe haven for millennia. And what else can say that? So text America to 989-898 right now to claim your free info kit on gold. That's America to 989-898. Protect your future today with Birch Gold. Coming up after the break, I'll discuss Nick Shirley's bombshell video that alleges billions of dollars being used fraudulently under the guise of being allocated to daycare centers in Somali communities within the state of Minnesota. More on that after the break.

Welcome back to avl. Yesterday, in the early hours of the day, content creator and independent journalist Nick Shirley broke what could be the biggest scandal as it relates to fraud in the state of Minnesota. In his 42 minute report, Nick claims that the fraud is coming from various daycare and learning centers stationed in the heart of Somali communities in Minnesota. And when he actually went to these facilities, most if not all of them were empty and the ones with people present were not responsive to any questions as it relates to the allocation of operation cost and the sourcing of said funds. The most notable instance was when Nick showcased Quality Learning center, which was misspelled, which had reportedly had 95 violations against them, yet received over $8 million in funding. Today the owner's son claimed that Nick had visited the location after hours. But needless to say, the allegations seem stacked against all facilities alleged to be involved. And finally, the DHS and DOJ are conducting a massive operation in Minnesota to get to the bottom of this. Joining me to discuss all this is Constitutional lawyer and former Green Beret Ivan Raichlen. Ivan, thank you for being with me today. Let's start with this video. Soon after this video was published by Nick Shirley, the DHS promptly moved and announced an active probe into this industry. Do you see anyone being held to account as of yet? And where's this gonna go?
Valpak Advertiser
First off, I wanna thank Nick for doing the great work and investigative journalism. But the problem is the last 11 years we've seen escalatory levels of treason that still has not been addressed. I mean, no one's been held to account going back to the Biden criminal Syndicate reign of terror when they did 10 for the big guy in 2014. And then from there we just saw the escalation of our destruction of the Constitutional order. I only see that what happened in Minnesota is just one level of fraud and deceit of the American taxpayer dollar and going back at a minimum a decade. So when you ask me if is that anybody going to be held to account? Now this current Department of Justice is rampant of probably over 95% of this DOJ is still the corrupt scum that was in place over the last decade. And they're there to make sure that the leadership of the DOJ and the FBI doesn't hold anyone to account. And they already got one win under their belt because Dan Bongino is quitting after New Year next week.
Bo Davidson
Yeah, that was a bit surprising and certainly I think a big loss for dhs. Well, let's talk about Ilhan Omar, who has seen a sharp increase in her wealth via her husband's net worth in recent years. Do you see this development at all being tied with Nick's video, or is that just a mere coincidence?
Valpak Advertiser
I mean, it relates to the sense that she is a Somali citizen, and I don't think she obtained her U.S. citizenship legitimately. And so she is an illegitimate member of Congress.
Bo Davidson
Right.
Valpak Advertiser
Just like the Biden pro syndicate, just quickly legitimate based on the result of an illegitimate election. So other than that, I mean, I don't see any other relation to it. Continued fraud. And we effectively live in a failed state, whereas before it was a illegitimate, tyrannical regime. Now we have a. An administration that is too cowardly, along with the Republicans of the House and Senate, to hold anybody to account.
Bo Davidson
Yeah, I mean, it's so interesting. You know, people talk about the deep state, and it's no longer a conspiracy theory. It's actually just playing out before our eyes.
Valpak Advertiser
I've laid it out ad nauseam over the years what the deep State is by name, date, place, transgression, category relationships known as the deep state target list. But we have yet to see one arrest. Not. Not even like.
Bo Davidson
Right.
Valpak Advertiser
We have indictments that have failed. We don't even have an arrest of John Brennan. We don't even have an arrest of James Comey of anybody. So, I mean, there's gonna come a time where the American citizens are gonna have to essentially take charge and essentially dictate our institutions on what they need to be doing.
Bo Davidson
Yeah, and I think that President Trump promised that to his base. You know, there's got to be some repercussions for the actions that we've seen. Whether it's Brennan, Comey, whoever it is, it's got to happen. I mean, I don't think it's blood thirst. I think it's just reality. That's what justice is. If there's no justice in the Justice Department, how are we supposed to get anywhere? So I completely agree with you. There's gotta be consequences. But, Ivan, right now, because of where you are, I do want to switch gears because I understand that you attended the federal court Hearing on the D.C. pipe bomb suspect Brian Cole Jr. Today. Could you tell us how that went, what went down, and what stood out to you?
Valpak Advertiser
Yeah, a couple things that you're not going to get the transcript that I want to address, limited time we have is that one of the individuals that has worked for I think over two decades for his father who basically said that Brian Polk Jr. Is a 30 year old kid with a 15 year old brain autistic. And so even if he did do it, I mean it's a nice little patsy to be able to place a pipe bomb that benefits the Deep State massively. And background here. The, I mean even if the pipe bomber is the, if Brian Cole is the pipe bomber, I just don't see a D.C. jury convicting him. And what was going on today was a detention hearing. First off, the judge is not even sure if he's going to acknowledge the grand jury indictment that was done just up the street at the DC Circuit Court. Cease is a little confusing where you have the U.S. district Court for the Middle District here right behind me and then you have D.C. district Court, Circuit Court which addresses D.C. crimes and I guess it's under appeal on whether or not a federal district court is supposed to acknowledge a grand jury in the Circuit court. All I see here is a complete slow roll by Jocelyn Valentine, which is the lead prosecutor in this case. And as a little bit of history, Jocelyn Valentine, the assistant U.S. attorney, she used to be the one that was spearheaded by the Deep State to go after General Flynn during his trial and against Enrique Tario and the Proud Boys in the Nancy Pelosi fed direction cover up trial against the Proud Boys. I had an opportunity to confront her. I'm going to post it here after we do this interview. And she didn't have much to say other than she knew exactly who I was. And her co counsel kind of screwed along and I asked her simple questions such as, you know, how do you expect America to believe you when you were behind the. The fake weaponization against General Flynn, the fake weaponization against the Proud boys. Now all of a sudden you got this kid that's autistic that supposedly admitted to the crime without counsel and he's autistic. I mean seriously. And he acted alone. Supposedly we're supposed to believe. I think my gut tells me it's a conspiracy. And because defense counsel on numerous occasions without prompting said that he acted alone, it wasn't a conspiracy to me. Kind of just my spidey senses tell me that there's more to it than meets the eye. And again the government's not going to get to the truth because they're not. They've shown to be completely incompetent at best. And the defense counsel, obviously they're going to defend him to the end because they have to continue to defend the defense direction narrative. It's going to be independent journalists and independent investigators like us that will end up getting to the truth of what happened on January 6th.
Bo Davidson
Yeah, well, Ivan, it's people like you, as you just mentioned, Nick Shirley, I think we're seeing people just go out there and do the work that the mainstream media will not do. So constitutional lawyer and former Green Beret and independent journalist Ivan Raichlen, thank you so much for coming on today. And have a happy New year, Sir.

Welcome back to America's Voice live. I'm Bo Davidson in for Steve Today. The dialogue around the legitimacy of redistricting, specifically when it comes to Texas, has been ongoing ever since July of this year. At its height, Texas Republicans argued that redistricting efforts were a standard affair, especially mid decade, and even Governor Greg Abbott cited a 5th Circuit Court ruling that changed how coalition districts are treated under the law. Furthermore, the Supreme Court ruled on these efforts earlier this month and gave Texas the go ahead to use their new map in 2026, a key year for many Americans as November is when the midterms will be held. Joining me to discuss this is Texas State Representative Steve Tom Steve, thanks for being with me today, especially at year's end. Besides the map giving Republicans five more congressional seats, what other impacts will this new Texas map have these new maps.
Steve Tom
Absolutely take the handcuffs off of Republican states where, you know, Bo, honestly, it's amazing that Republicans ever had control of Congress given the fact that the courts in the past have said to the, to the Republicans, you've got to draw maps based on the color of somebody's skin. They're not saying that to the Democrats, they're saying to the Democrats you can draw maps however you want in blue states as long as it gives you a political advantage. So that's why you've got New England, six states, 15 million people, 21 congressional districts, 43% Republican, yet not one, not one Republican congressional district. So we have been fighting the Democrats at a gross disadvantage. And there was a case, it's called Petaway, that basically said, no, you can draw maps colorblind. And that's what we did. That's what we did in Texas. And so you look at states like Indiana, that we could pick up another seat, which is a two seat swing, actually, if they, the Democrats lose one, we gain one, it's a two seat swing. And yet the cowards in Indiana will not do it.
Bo Davidson
Steve, you know, in its infancy, of course, many Democrats were quick to call these efforts blatant gerrymandering. What do you say to those claims now, especially after the Supreme Court ruling.
Steve Tom
You actually have to gerrymander in these Democratic states. You have to gerrymander in order to come away with, with 21 congressional districts and they're all Democrat in the northeast part of the United states, which is 43% Republican. That's where the gerrymandering is taking place. It's not being gerrymandered here in Texas at all.
Bo Davidson
So that's just pot calling the kettle black, sounds like.
Steve Tom
Exactly.
Bo Davidson
Well, let's turn some efforts to California. Gavin Newsom has maintained his intention to redistrict California to balance out representation. Do you think Newsom's push, is it legitimate or is it more of a retaliatory response? Since Texas did succeed, as you mentioned.
Steve Tom
In the end, it's completely retaliatory and it's stupid on its face. And I'll tell you why is that The Democrats had already gerrymandered California to the maximum amount. They got the maximum number of Democrat seats that they could out of that. And by doing what they're going to do, you're going to put five or six seats, maybe upwards of seven seats in play that Republicans in the past never had a shot at.
Bo Davidson
So. Okay, so Steve, I want to ask you this. So with California's redistricting move, would that give Democrats more net seats in terms of. To balance out what's happening in Texas? Would they have a statistical advantage with that plan?
Steve Tom
I don't think they will. I mean, we've got.
Bo Davidson
So.
Steve Tom
We, the seats that we drew now, those are all safe Republican seats. Right? Again, the Democrats. Democrats in California had drawn all but five seats Democrat. And yet again, you're still like 38, 40% Republican in California, yet got all but five seats now in California are Democrat. And so if they were to draw any more seats, they're putting. Actually going to have to put seats in place. So you're going to take seats that were 60 or 62% Democrat, and those are going to become 50, 51%, 52% seats now Democrat, which gives Republicans an opportunity heretofore that they haven't had in the past, which would. It puts them in play. So. So, no, I don't think they're gonna pick up five seats in California.
Bo Davidson
So I gotta follow up then there. Does that mean California is savable? I mean, is there actually an opportunity here for Republicans to make some gains when so many have left the state?
Steve Tom
Yeah, we can. We can make some gains in California. That's what I'm trying to say. I guess it's a clumsy way for me to say it, but yes, we absolutely can pick some stuff.
Bo Davidson
No, but that's, that's important to know.
Steve Tom
California. No, we're not gonna win California. I don't think, you know, I don't think we're going to win the governor's race there, although they'd be wonderful. We could, but we are going to. I think we could pick up some congressional seats.
Bo Davidson
All right, Steve, final question for you. Other than California, do you see any other Democrat states make a play in terms of drawing and proposing new district maps?
Steve Tom
I don't. I really don't. I don't. And I'll tell you the reason why is that again, like I've said before, the Democrats in these blue states have gerrymandered their states to the maximum number that they possibly can. If they try and draw additional Democrats seats, it's going to put other seats in play because you've got to take, yeah, you've got to take blue voters, historically Democrats voters, and pull them into another seat, which is going to weaken the other seat that. That is already a strong Democrat seat. So. So, no, I just don't think they're gonna do it.
Bo Davidson
Real quickly, Steve, before we let you go, I wanna find out about your campaign for Congress in Texas too. Let me know how that's going.
Steve Tom
It is going great. So it's crazy is that I've raised just 5, 10, $15 donations from people all over that are sending us money. We've raised more money basically in a four month period than I had in six years of running for the Texas House. People are squarely behind me in my effort to defeat Dan Crenshaw. Dan Crenshaw has the only, let's put it this way, the only person that has higher unfavorables than John Cornyn in the state of Texas is Dan Crenshaw.
Bo Davidson
Well, congratulations Steve, on your campaign and best of luck to you. We thank you so much for coming on AVL today. Have a great rest of your day. And of course, sir, Happy New Year.
Steve Tom
Happy New Year, Bo.
Bo Davidson
Thanks, Steve. Well, after the break we will have a story that reminds us of how wonderful America truly is. What makes America wonderful? Well, we do it every day with the hope of putting a smile on your face. Today's story comes to us from Cottonwood, California, where an Amazon delivery driver truly employed the fact that honesty is the best policy Amazon driver Connor Drake was making a routine delivery when he noticed something peculiar on a customer's front lawn. When Connor went to examine what the object was, he quickly came to the realization that a $20 bill was just sitting there. While most would pocket the note under the pretense of finders keepers, Connor was honest and forthcoming by carefully placing the $20 bill under the package he was delivering, ensuring that the homeowners could take back the misplaced 20 bucks. Later that day, the homeowners reviewed their doorbell camera footage and saw Connor's gesture. Furthermore, Connor returned to the house to receive a gift under the homeowner's request, which he has decided to keep private. Honesty and integrity are the key values of a functioning society and Connor's actions certainly support that, reminding us of what makes America truly wonderful. Now, reminder, our question of the day was after President Trump's meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, do you believe that the end of the Russia, Ukraine war is in silence? Well, our first answer comes from Larry Coutriere Jr. Who says, who knows these days? I believe it could be, but I don't think Zelensky can be trusted. And I also feel the same way about Putin as well. Well, I think, Larry, that a lot of people agree with you. Here's another answer from Wayne Brood who says, I feel like we are being played by Zelensky. Biden had some kind of deal worked out with him and I hope we find out where all those tax dollars went. Yeah, you and me both. I would agree with you on that. Another answer here from Marty Kloss who says Putin doesn't want peace, he wants Ukraine. Marty, I think a lot of people probably would agree with you on that. Let's just hope that Putin comes to his senses and Putin and Zelensky can agree on something that would be great for us all. Another answer from Keely Shively who says no because Zelensky doesn't want it to end. He's making too much money and if it ended, the elections would resume. I think that's a fair point that you make. He's been getting a lot of money and now that that money may be coming to a close, Sandy List street says no, Putin won't stop. Well, we hope you're wrong, Sandy, but we'll see. David Smith says as long as Putin stays in power, the war will not end. It will take an internal Russian civil war to depose him. And Mark Connor says I doubt it. There's no profit to be made for Zelenskyy in a peace. Now make sure to tune in to Wednesday at 11pm Eastern for RAV's 2020 five year end review. I'll be there along with Brian Glenn, Ben Berkwois, lots of folks. Thanks for joining us today on america's Voice live. I'm Bo Davidson. Have a great day.

This episode of America’s Voice Live—hosted by Bo Davidson sitting in for Steve Gruber—delivers a broad sweep of pressing political and cultural topics for the closing days of 2025. The main stories tackled include the U.S. pressure campaign on Venezuela, updates on Russia-Ukraine peace prospects, an alleged daycare fraud scandal in Minnesota, and redistricting efforts in Texas. With guest insights from a former Navy SEAL, a U.S. ambassador, a constitutional lawyer, and a Texas state legislator, the show leans into its signature blend of direct, opinion-driven commentary and on-the-ground updates.
Question: After President Trump’s meeting with Zelenskyy, do you believe the end of the Russia-Ukraine war is in sight?
This episode punches through with its hallmark Real America’s Voice tone: combative, deeply skeptical of mainstream narratives, and unyieldingly pro-Trump. Each segment marshals supportive expert guests and direct listener feedback, painting a picture of a nation at inflection points both at home and abroad—from the corridors of power in Washington D.C. to the daycares of Minnesota and the redrawn maps of Texas. Listeners are left with both a sense of urgency and a reinforcement of “America First” values, with a dash of hope in the form of everyday honesty.
