Today is Tuesday 31st March, the year of our Lord 2026. Let's get to today's top stories. As always, thank you for joining me here on REAL america's Voice. We appreciate you being here. The president continues to put the pressure on what's remaining of the Iranian reg as tensions over the Strait of Hormuz remain high. Talks are ongoing, we're told, and a ceasefire deal is in Place until April 6th. More on that coming up. Also, with Easter right around the corner, many Americans are making plans to celebrate with family. I'll tell you how our good friends at Angel Studios are celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. You won't want to miss that. And then later, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced this morning the removal of more than 160 faith codes, reducing a system that had grown to over 200 denominations, including Wiccan atheists, agnostic identifications and more. All of that's coming your way. But we start with dhs. Now, the partial shutdown of DHS is now the longest in American history. While the radical left in Congress plays games with Americans lives and American security. Donald Trump has declared a national emergency to keep the TSA funded at least and our airports safe. That's right, emergency powers, because the Democrats have turned border security and homeland defense into a political hostage situation. You see, they'd rather see chaos at our borders and chaos in our skies than give a single dime to the men and women who actually enforce the laws they wrote. This is the swab fighting back. But Trump isn't having it. He's putting America first. And the left is melting down. Let's start with the human side of this because the mainstream media won't show you ICE agents. Yeah, those same agents that Democrats love to demonize are out there every day at airports treating people with basic human decency while they do the tough job of securing the homeland. I've seen the footage. ICE officers at the airport handing out lollipops to little kids coming through customs trying to make a scary process just a little less frightening for families who are here legally. That's not the jackbooted thugs the left paints them. That's public servants doing their duty with compassion. But according to the Democrats, those lollipops are somehow a democracy. Give me a break. Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal spent the weekend contradicting herself on fighting ice. She looks straight into the camera and says, ICE doesn't need any more money. Oh, no, they've got plenty. And then in the very same breath admits she's doing the right thing by withholding funding so they can't continue their operations. It's kind of bizarre actually. Listen to this.

Huh? Really? Hold on. If they don't need the money, why are you bragging about starving them of resources, which is a congresswoman. Do they have enough cash? Or are you deliberately sabotaging the rest of DHS's ability to do the job? This isn't policy. This is sabotage. She's not fooling anyone except the same activist crowd that shows up at these no Kings protests with spray paint in their backpacks. Speaking of those protests, let's talk about what real extremism looks like at one of the so called no Kings rallies. Here's the message of the activists there. Kill your local ICE agent. That's what he spray painted on the wall there. Not defund, not reform. Kill. Straight up incitement. And that's the atmosphere the Democrats have created in this country. They've radicalized their base to the law enforcement's public enemy number one. And then they have the audacity to act shocked when the President has to step in with emergency funding just to keep the TSA open and running. TSA agents are the last line of defense in our airports, folks. And Trump had to declare an emergency to pay them because Democrats won't pass a clean funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security. Tom Homan spoke truth to power on CNN's Jake Tapper program. Listen to this. President Trump wants the entire Department of Homeland Security funded. He wants the government open and funded. And look, I've been on Capitol Hill talking to both sides and bottom lines, they want changes in ICE tactics, they want changes in policies. Look, the same laws that ICE follows today, the same laws about immigration enforcement have been in place during Clinton, Obama, and now the laws hasn't changed. And the things we're talking about, they want to prevent ICE from doing their job. They can say they don't want to abolish ice. I'm in the room. They want to change operations so we arrest less people. And look, the conversation's going good. We talk about body cameras, we'll pass the budget. And there's $120 million there to buy body cameras. They're holding the department hostage because they don't like what ISIS doing. And ICE is enforcing the laws they enacted. If they don't like what ICE is doing. Then change the law. That's your job. And that's the kicker. These are the same Democrats who voted for those laws years ago when it was politically convenient. And now that Trump is actually enforcing those laws, suddenly it's a humanitarian crisis. Homan nailed it. This isn't about compassion. It's about power and manipulation. They want open borders. They want catch and release. They want to flood the system until it collapses so they can remake the electorate in their image. And when ICE does its job deporting criminals, securing the border, they cry hostage. This shutdown is so nonsensical that even ABC's Jonathan Karl, a left wing journalist himself, is going to bat with Democrats over it. Listen to his exchange with Senator Chris Van Hollen, the same guy who flew to El Salvador to have margaritas with an illegal alien accused of beating his wife and transporting others in a human trafficking ring, by the way. Here it is. I guess what's confusing here is you have fought and blocked the funding for the Department of Homeland Security because you object, as you just outlined, to what ICE has been doing and you wanted to force changes. And yet the only thing that has been assured throughout all of this is that ICE already has the money because, as you said, $75 billion passed in the budget bill last year. So you're holding up the entirety of the Department of Homeland Security because you object to ICE and you want changes to ice. But through it all, ICE continues to have the money. John, we're not holding up all of the money for all the Department of Homeland Security. That's just a false statement. We have said repeatedly. Well, you repeatedly, we should fund tsa, we should fund fema, we should fund the Coast Guard. We are not prepared to give ICE another $10 billion on top of the monies they already have and are using in many of these lawless operations.

You're holding accountable for the killing of American citizens and fighting over that additional $10 billion. You are, you are holding up the rest of Department of. We're not holding it up. I mean, you're saying, John, we're not holding it up. We have now voted 10 times, but you're holding up. Unless it doesn't include money for ice.

That is just a fact. And the facts are stubborn. House Republicans have sent over funding bills that would secure the border, pay our agents, and keep America safe. Democrats keep adding poison pills, amnesty Here, sanctuary city protections over there, until the whole thing just dies. Then they run to the cameras and say, see? Republicans won't compromise. It is gaslighting on an industrial scale. And let's not forget what led this situation in the first place. Senator Ron Johnson reminded the public of that this week. Here he is with that 60 vote threshold. Democrats, this is a hill they will die on because any kind of election integrity really is existential to their game plan of turning America into a one party nation. They flooded this country with millions of illegal immigrants, put them in sanctuary cities to plus up their numbers. But here's what they even more deviously, they trained activists to obstruct justice, encourage them to put themselves in harm's way, knowing they could get harmed. They got two martyrs. And then they're using those martyrs as their excuse to try and defund law enforcement, to defund the very agencies that are designed to clean up the mess they created. That's what we're dealing with. That's who Democrats are. And that's exactly what's happening. They coach these radicals to swarm ICE facilities, block buses, scream in agents faces, and then when someone gets arrested for it, suddenly it's a human rights story. They need martyrs to fuel the outrage machine. It's not organic. It's orchestrated and paid for. Just like we talked about yesterday. From the spray painted death threats of the no Kings protest to the coordinated leaks and the endless lawfare, it's all part of the same playbook. Make enforcement impossible, blame the enforcers and keep the border wide open if possible. This is why Trump's emergency declaration is a good move. He's not waiting for the Democrats to grow a spine or a brain. He's using the tools he has to protect the American people right now. TSA agents get paid, airports stay secure, and the message to the radical left is crystal clear. Your obstruction ends here and it ends now. Look, I've been covering this fight for years and the pattern never changes. Never. Democrats talk tough on security when the polls are bad and then govern like open borders globalists. The second they get power, they fund every pet project, green new deals, student loan bailouts, foreign aid to countries that hate us, frankly. But when it comes to ice vans, detention beds or border wall construction, suddenly they won't pay a dime. The American people have already signaled that they're done with this nonsense. They voted for Trump on a landslide because they saw exactly what the Democrats were offering. Chaos, crime, and yes, open borders. They want law and order. They want secure airports. Secure borders and secure communities. And Trump is delivering, even if he has to go around the stonewalling of Congress to get it done. Every time a TSA agent shows up for work and gets a paycheck thanks to that emergency declaration, every time an ICE officer hands a lollipop to a scared kid while still enforcing the law, it's a victory for common sense over the radical left. So to the Democrats in Congress, to Jayapal and Van Hollen and the rest of the obstructionist caucus, your games are over. The American people see through the contradictions, the hostage taking and the martyr theater. President Trump declared the emergency because you left him no choice. And if you keep pushing, he'll keep using every legal tool at his disposal to protect this nation. It's what he's done. It's what he was elected for. You see, that's what leaders do. That's what winners do. This fight isn't just about funding bills. It's about whether we're still a sovereign country with borders that matter and mean something, or whether we've surrendered to the radical open borders agenda. Trump chose sovereignty. He chose the American worker, the American family, the American future. And history will record that when Democrats tried to hold DHS and ICE hostage, Donald Trump stepped in, declared the emergency, and kept the lights on. That's leadership. That is, my friends, America first. And that's the monologue coming up. So far, President Trump has been keeping the pressure by suggesting that Iranian power plants and water supplies could be targeted unless Iran makes an active effort to come to the table and and hash out a resolution. Meanwhile, Israel continues their strikes on the regime. There's also the economic aspect to the situation as the Strait of Hormuz remains uncertain, to say the least, from the constant threats from the Iranian regime, in which they suggest that boats passing through could be blown out of the water. So look, I saw a consumer confidence number come in a short while ago, and it's much higher than people expected. Apparently, people believe Donald Trump can run the economy. The Dow is up well over 1,000 points at this hour. Nasdaq up 770, the S&P 171, and oil down to 102. These are all pretty good economic numbers for at least a day. But it's encouraging, isn't it?

Yeah, it really is. I think America is leading the way from a military perspective. When you look at the success that we have had on the ground, in the air, in the sea, against Iran, which was seen as one of the four pillars of really evil that we were to face, and we have destroyed their navy, destroyed their air force, destroyed most of their leaders and put them back on their heels, is really Israel and the United States, which have been leading the way. We've seen Iran try to bring in other nations in the Gulf, including Kuwait. They fired on a NATO country yesterday for the fourth time with Turkey. But right now, when you look at the military success that we have had, it has been absolutely tremendous. So hats off to the Department of War and our men and women in uniform.

Yeah. I want to read something that the president posted at Truth Social here earlier today. All of those countries that can't get jet fuel because of the Strait of Hormuz, like the United Kingdom, which refused to get involved in the decapitation of Iran. I have a suggestion for you. Number one, buy from the United States. We have plenty. Number two, build up some delayed courage. Go to the straight and just take it. You'll have to start learning how to fight for yourself. The USA won't be there to help you anymore. Just like you weren't there for us. Iran has been essentially decimated. The hard part is done. Go get your own oil. President DJT Look, I don't mind his sentiment here. They all want to sit on the bench and they want to make comments and they want to hoot and holler. You know, when they demanded because they didn't ask for us to join the Ukraine war, they demanded it. And we showed up with far too much money and far too much equipment because they have neglected their own militaries. I don't think the UK could defend that island at this point because their military is so underfunded and understaffed and has not enough equipment. Where am I wrong, Paul?

The United States has led the way and unfairly taken the financial burden on this for nearly a generation now, growing our military strength across the globe. Albeit we did settle back and not grow under certain Democrat administrations and we've had to rebuild. However, there's no doubt that the United States military is the premier force on the globe. And I think we will stay there for the foreseeable future. But here's what's important to remember about Europe. For example, last week Iran filed, filed, fired a two ballistic missiles at base in the Indian Ocean, Diego Garcia. And that's important for a few reasons. One, that is a joint base, both of Britain and the United States. But what's critical and that Europe should be paying attention to, if they are not already, is that really, for the most part, we didn't think that Iran had the capability to launch beyond a certain range. Well, they did. And that range now shows that they could reach most of Europe. They could hit Britain, they could even hit Moscow. So Europe, from a NATO perspective, has got to be front and center, not only in negotiations, but helping to continue to decimate the Iranian navy, make sure they never have nuclear capability, and making sure that we get a government in there that is rational and will work with the free world.

Yeah, you make it clear. Those missiles launched at Diego Garcia, which is a small island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, but a critical military base for the United states and the U.K. originally, the U.K. said, well, we're not going to let you use it. They acquiesced to that. But here's the point you make. Those missiles have a range that could hit London, Paris, Berlin. Pick your city in Europe. It's in range now. And these fools sit there bumping their gums, trying to criticize Donald Trump, who's defanging a rogue, dangerous nation, the global leader of terrorist sponsorship. I mean, that's it. Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and the list goes on. Al Shabaab in Africa, Iran has sponsored and funded all of those things. And Europe sits on its hands. It really is odd to me, sir.

And also what our adversaries, we can't forget the fact that China, Russia, North Korea are watching what's happening in the Middle East. The United States has been extremely successful from a strategic military perspective in what we have done in Iran to date. What we did in Venezuela, you look at the power. And so it's important that we rally around the flag in this country to ensure victory. Because anything less, less than that, which is what a lot of our adversaries would want to see, will only embolden our adversaries for a generation to come. Look, I've got four kids, three teenagers. I'd love for them to join the military, but I don't want them to have to fight wars in the future where right now we have a responsibility not only to take down evil the best that we can, but set the example and put our adversaries like China, North Korea and Russia absolutely on notice that America is here, we're here to stay, and American military dominance is not going anywhere.

Yeah, it seems that those European nations were all gung ho when America was bringing in all that military equipment and all of that cash, billions of dollars, Ukraine. But when we needed help, we were ignored. Donald Trump makes it clear that's not gonna fly. Last word to you.

You know, I served in Iraq in 0809 during the surge when we didn't think at that time whether or not we would make it. We lost a lot of brave service members throughout Iraq, throughout Afghanistan, throughout many portions of the Middle east. And we've lost many brave ones today. What I want your viewers to take a note here of is that when you watched 10, 15, 20 years ago, our American service members and their Humvees getting blown up, mortars, rockets coming in that were not only killing or maiming our service members, those weapons were coming directly from Iran. Those were Iranian made bombs that were coming in to kill our service members. I have no sympathy for their military or their leadership which killed our men and women back then. And we should not forget it today. And if we do, then we're going to have to face that adversary again and my kids will. It's up to us to clean the table and finish what we started and do it right.

So this is an interesting story. It got my attention and I wanted to share it with you here today. Secretary of War Pete Hagseth announced the removal of more than 160 faith codes. And I thought, are they giving them to chaplains? No, they're reducing a system that had grown to over 200 denominations. They included Wiccan, atheist, agnostic, and, you know, 200 more. The total number of faith codes has now been reduced to just 31. Most service members align with just six codes, while 82% identify as religious, probably more religious if you're on the battlefield. Hagseth also directed the removal of officer rank insignia for chaplains, replacing it with a religious insignia, allowing them to better minister according to service members, faith backgrounds. Here to discuss it with me, the president of Summit Ministries in Colorado Springs, Dr. Jeff Myers. Jeff, nice to see you. When I first saw this, I thought, wow, this is unusual. They're getting rid of 160 chaplains and so forth. That's not the case at all. They're weeding out the nonsense, the noise, Wiccans, atheists. Why would you need an atheist if you're not going to pray, why would you need that denomination? So what's your take?

There never has been a Wiccan chaplain. There never has been an atheist chaplain. There's never been a humanist chaplain. All Pete Hegseth did is remove 160 religious codes of people, of groups that supposedly exist that have never had a chaplain. And I've got the whole, I've got the list here. Eckankar, Heathen. Do you know Heathen is an actual religion? Church of the Spiral Tree, That's a Wiccan group that has no members at all, not to mention no members in the United States military. So why were these all put in there? To me, that's the interesting question. And groups like the Free Thinkers, the American Humanist association, advocated ballooning up the number of potential groups here so that they could weaken the Christian, specifically the Protestant, and part of the chaplain corps, and say, see, these people can't really do their work. They can't give their viewpoint, they can't do their ministry because all of these other groups actually exist. And it was just. It was a sham from the beginning. And he's acknowledging it.

Yeah, it sounds like the devil was hard at work going, oh, we'll throw this label in and this label in and this label in. I knew some heathens in college, I'm pretty sure Jeff, and I've never known one that officially identified that way. I know, I know.

Yeah, that's exactly right. Well, there, there. Apparently there are religions out there that actually call themselves heathen. That's what they are. It's some kind of a German mythical thing, you know, sort of a pre. You know, a pre Hitler sort of weird thing. And then, and then you have other groups that worship Thor and Odin. You know, I mean, they're, they're the. These people exist. It's a free country. But there are only five of them and none of them are in the military and none of them need a chaplain.

Right. We don't need to find somebody that, like you said, there was no Wiccan chaplain, no heathen chaplain, nobody for any of these people. Because if their groups are 5 or 10 or 15, it just sounds like somebody on the left side of the aisle. I'm just going to make a crazy guess here. Just wanted to muddy the waters to make sure that the Christians and the Catholics and the Jews and whoever else is serving actually maybe doesn't have access to what they need. Like I said, I believe everything. Every soldier believes in God when there are bullets flying. I'm pretty sure of that. And so it just seems like it was, I don't know, just disturbing everything. I'm glad they did this, aren't you?

I am glad, yes. I think muddying the waters is a good way to put it. But, you know, the humanists and atheist groups were too clever by half when they insisted that they be included in their list of religions. Because for all of my lifetime, they've said, we aren't relig. We're neutral. You Christians are the ones who are religious. That's why you can't have Christian things in school, but you can have atheist and humanist things in school. Now they've lined up and said, no, no, no, we are religions, and we're officially religions according to the United States military. Hey, it just proves that this was a religious battle all along. And atheists cannot claim a neutral ground in this. They are just as religious as anybody else.

Well, can we use their words against them? I mean, if a humanist wants to claim that it's a religion or an atheist wants to claim it's a religion, then by gosh, under the left wing ideology of this country, they should be banned from every classroom in America. Right?

They absolutely should. The American Humanist association is a 501c3 nonprofit, tax exempt religious corporation. It is actually listed as a church in the IRS code. You can't have it both ways. You can't say we're the neutral ones, keep the Christians out, and at the same time say we are a church. You gotta pick. And I think Secretary Hegseth is kind of trying to clear up all of this muddying that the free so called free thinkers have done in the last, I don't know, I guess since 2017. So almost 10 years of this huge mess in the chaplain corps. Hopefully it'll be a lot better.
