America's Voice Live starts now.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Welcome to America's Voice Live. I'm Steve Guru. It is Thursday, the 5th of March, the year of our Lord 2026. Today's top stories now, as tensions with Iran rise. The DHS funding showdown in Washington is putting the Department of Homeland Security in the spotlight. President Trump earlier today announced that Senator Mark Wayne Mullen will be replacing Christine Ohm as the new DHS secretary. I'll bring on Congressman Mark Harris to discuss that from North Carolina. Also, the race for Georgia's governor is heating up as we inch closer to the midterm elections. These are important challenges. More on that as well. And then later. According to recent reports, the U.S. state Department is developing an online portal that could allow people in Europe and other countries to view content their governments have blocked. All that and more coming your way. But first, how about some introspection for a moment on the program? You know, I'm old enough to remember when Democrats, most of them were still Americans, when they took pride in this country that they represented, when they understood what makes us different and what makes us great, when they at least pretended to agree or at a minimum, tolerate the beliefs and ideas that our founding fathers held. Those days seem to be long dead and gone. James Talarico has been representing part of Austin, Texas, in the state's House of representatives since 2018. And he just won the Democrat Senate primary in Texas now over Representative Jasmine Crockett. Now, I'm not a Democrat. I'm not a Republican either. But these are the kinds of ideas that convince Democrats to vote for Talarico. I want you to hear this. Who professes to be a Christian believer. In fact, he's actually in training to be an ordained minister at a Presbyterian Seminary. Listen to what he says in committee. I listened to 15 hours of testimony on this bill. The worst part for me was the
Patrick Hedger (Director of Policy for NetChoice)
number of Christians who used scripture to justify hurting children.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Even on this floor today, a member tried to justify a hateful amendment in the name of God's law. So let's talk about that. The first two lines of the Bible. The first two lines in Genesis use two different Hebrew words to describe God. One is the masculine Hebrew noun for divinity.
Patrick Hedger (Director of Policy for NetChoice)
The second is the feminine Hebrew noun for spirit.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
God is both masculine and feminine and everything in between. God is non binary. You've got to be kidding me. This guy is willing to subvert thousands of years of biblical teaching for viral clips that get him elected by a liberal progressive population. He's attempting to pass a bill that encourages minors to change their gender to engage in self mutilation by calling God non binary. God is divine. He's not a biological being. So he doesn't possess a biological sex per se. But in no way does that equate to the modern day mental illness of non binary identification. Scripture reveals God through the use of overwhelming masculine language, titles, pronouns and self identification. God the Father came to this world through the incarnation of his son, a biological male Jesus. There's never been any confusion on this subject, not ever. Until nitwits like James Tallarico decided to start using it for their own political advantage if they can. Here's more from that same speech. Trans children are God's children, made in God's own image. There's nothing wrong with them. Nothing at all. They are perfect. They are beautiful and they are sacred. Bullying children is immoral. It's a sin. A special kind of sin. Mm. Does he hear himself? Children are made in God's image. Period. Full stop. There's nothing wrong with the gender that they're born. There is no other classification. Children are not born trans. And they should never be encouraged as children to pursue that diabolical path. It's evil. There should be no such thing as trans children. Using that term is pure evil. Here's another one of James Talarico's great ideas.
Patrick Hedger (Director of Policy for NetChoice)
Listen, Southern border should be like our front porch.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
There should be a giant welcome mat out front. A giant welcome mat. You know, open borders. No thanks. This analogy also fails to include the fact that Democrat leadership has issued a call worldwide that the door is wide open to anybody who comes. Doesn't matter. I don't have millions of people trying to get into my front door. But our southern border did, thanks to his party, James Tallarico's rise to power shows that the only Christian that the Democrats are willing to accept is a fake one. One that twists and subverts biblical teaching to put a stamp of approval on a whole host of policies that go counter to everything the Bible teaches us. Everything. Tim Wallace is another Democrat who claims to be Christian, but who has used his position to advance the WOKE agenda at the cost of his constituents. No question. He's overseen billions in fraud that he let happen simply because he wanted to keep the vote of Somalians inside his state, many who came here illegally in the first place. And he sat on Capitol Hill yesterday pretending like he knows nothing about it. Here's just a sample of some of the scale of fraud he's allowed in his state. Check this out.

How much money was spent on 2017 for autism in Minnesota?
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
How much? I don't know. I wasn't the governor.
Kristen Davis
Okay, did you not just say that you prepared for this hearing today? $1 million. Okay, a quick Google search or using your AI could tell you $1 million was spent. How much money was spent on autism in Minnesota in 2024?
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
I don't have the number in front
Kristen Davis
of me as governor in 2024 I
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
was, but I'm not the head of the.
Kristen Davis
Okay, so your excuse before that you didn't know what 2017 autism numbers were because you were not governor and today you can't answer the numbers about 2024 as governor and you still said you prepared for this hearing today. It's unbelievable. $343 million was spent in 2024. What percent increase is that from 1 million to 343 million? What percentage increase is that?
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Not here to be your prop. Go ahead and tell me. Uh huh. Can't do math either. I'll do it for you. That's 343 times the amount over the course of just seven years. From $1 million for autism to $343 million in just seven years. Congratulations Governor. You've broke the state. And as astounding as that is, it's not just dollar bills flying out under the window of his administration. It's real Minnesotans lives that have been lost as a result of his policies. Policies that have given out free education, free health care and driver's licenses to illegal aliens who don't speak English, can't read road signs, and sure as hell shouldn't be on the road with us. Here's more from the hearing. Let me make the connection for you. According to the secretary of transportation, 1/3 of Minnesota's non domiciled commercial drivers licenses were issued illegally. Were issued illegally. Do. Do you have a video ready to play for me? Can you play it now? This is what happens, Mr. Governor. This is what happens when you issue driver's licenses to people illegally. He is on the northbound lanes of 61 going the wrong way. You can see I'm going southbound on 61. He's in the northbound lanes on Highway 61. He's crossing over there and thank God. I don't know how much that thing weighs. 60, 80,000 pounds. 60 miles an hour, 18 wheeler. You can, you can cut the video. He was licensed in your state under a law that you signed that precludes federal officials, your federal partners, as you call them, from determining whether they're here illegally. That guy that was driving that truck couldn't pass the test. Yeah. This is the new Democrat Party, the one that says illegal aliens deserve commercial driver's licenses more than Minnesotans deserve the right to a safe drive home with their kids. This is not American. It's insanity. Like I said, I remember when Democrats still acting like Americans. You remember that? Because I do. You don't have to like the war going on in the Middle East. I understand that. If you've got your reasons, that's fine. That's why we have discussions in America. But if you're an elected politician representing our great nation, you don't denigrate the commander in chief in the middle of a war effort. Hakeem Jeffries has making a clown out of himself on the issue in front of cameras for the last week. Now, here's an example.
Public Podcast Announcer
Back in 2011, Nancy Pelosi said that then President Obama didn't need congressional approval to bomb Libya.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Now housed Democrats say President Trump needs
Public Podcast Announcer
that approval to bomb Iran. What's the difference?
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Well, obviously Libya and the circumstances connected to that were very different than the circumstance that we face in Iran right now. I mean, I don't even understand the genesis or basis of that question. I suggested that. You're not asking it in good faith. Libya went on for seven months, as I, as I've indicated. First of all, was not in Congress at the time. So we're dealing with what we're dealing with right now, which is a catastrophic endless war, as Donald Trump has characterized it, without any justification that there was going to be a preeminent assault or attack on the United States of America, either in our homeland or as it relates to our interests in the Middle East. Look, Donald Trump said nothing about an endless war. Nothing at all the Democrat Party is all about tanking what America does. If the leader isn't someone they like, especially if it's Donald Trump, Iran is attacking our military bases, our consulates, our embassies, and has done so for 47 years. You're going to go on national television, tell the world that you don't support the commander in chief, are doing something about it when every Democrat for decades has said they would do the same thing but did not. Its weakness. It's intensely creating conflict here at home. He says Libya and Iran are two different situations. Okay, fine. Here's the Democrat Party less than two decades ago on this very same issue. You might recognize this one.
Kristen Davis
And I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran whatever stage of development they might be in their nuclear weapons program in the next 10 years during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel. We would be able to totally obliterate them.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
That's a terrible thing to say, but
Kristen Davis
those people who run Iran need to understand that.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Now. I don't know what happened to these people. Somewhere along the way, they decided to sell out for an agenda that completely undermines everything that makes this country great. Democrats have transformed from patriots into radicals who mock God, sacrifice children on the altar of ideology, welcome invaders and stab our nation in the back during wartime time and again. It's not America. And I'm going to keep exposing these hypocrites until they return to the principles that made us the greatest nation in the history of nations. More likely, pigs will fly, but we'll see what happens. And that's the monologue. All right. Greatly appreciate that. Before we go to break, I want to inform you, the viewers, that Real America's Voice will be covering the 2026 Conservative Political Action Conference at CPAC from March 25th through the 28th. Be sure to tune in to Real America's Voice for Wall to wall coverage and live updates, breaking news and special appearances, including Tom Holman, Michael Whatley and many, many more. Mark your calendar because the fight to save the country continues. After the break. I'll bring on Congressman Mark Harris to discuss the ongoing DHS funding showdown as news recently broke that Senator Mark Wayne Mullen will be replacing Kristi Noemi as the secretary of that agency. Details coming up.

oh, I just knew I was going to beat this thing. Research shows there is a significant connection between the ability to continue to work and cancer recovery. We can make work a better place for healing. Learn more and sign the pledge@workingwithcancerpledge.com extensions with Iran Rise A funding fight in Washington is putting the Department of Homeland Security in the spotlight. And it continues. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem pushed back against House Democrats during a heated Oversight Committee hearing Wednesday, defending a $220 million public safety campaign and the alleged misuse of government funds for private jets. Earlier today, President Trump announced on Truth Social that Oklahoma Senator Mark Wayne Mullen will be replacing Noem as the DHS secretary, with Noam being reassigned to be the special envoy for the Shield of the Americas, a new security initiative in the Western Hemisphere that they will be announcing this Saturday in Doral, Florida. President Trump also praised Noem for her work on the border. Joining me to discuss this, Congressman Mark Harris of North Carolina's 8th congressional district. He was also in attendance at the hearing. Congressman, nice to see you here today.
Congressman Mark Harris
Great to see you, Steve.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
All right, so a shakeup at dhs, Kristi Noem not out of the administration, being reassigned. As I just mentioned, Mark Wayne Mullen being tapped by the president to take over that role as the secretary. Just so people understand he cannot serve in both capacities. He's either a senator or a secretary in the Cabinet. So Governor Stitt of Oklahoma will have the opportunity to fill that seat within 30 days. Otherwise it could have been a bit of a math problem. Congressman, because the Republicans have only 53 seats in the Senate, makes it challenging. What are your thoughts today?
Congressman Mark Harris
Well, first of all, Steve, I certainly want to just applaud having just yesterday been in that hearing with Secretary Noem. I think that Secretary Noem has really and truly worked just diligently to carry out the task of what is an overwhelming job. And I think she has done a yeoman's work in being able to see the things through that she has. I think that when you stop and consider what has happened in this country that we've now seen 2.6, 2.7 million illegal aliens that are now out of the country since Secretary Noem was in that position. And just the messaging that took part that really got a number of people, nearly 1.9 million have self deported. And I think that a lot of the work that she did was strong. And I think the President today, even in this new assignment, has pointed out the historic steps that have been taken in the work that Secretary Noem has done. And I think there is also a great anticipation and excitement about having Senator Mullen step into this role. Listen, he is a strong leader, a strong personality, and I think that he's going to do an incredible job. And in that role as Secretary of Homeland Security, he's a known entity that many people have known as they've watched him and listened to him in his role as a U.S. senator from Oklahoma. And I think that I'm expecting great things. I'm expecting also a pretty simple opportunity for the US Senate to go ahead and confirm him quickly simply because the relationships he already has there,
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
politically speaking, obviously a change at dhs, not a bad idea. A lot of bad publicity, did not poll well even in Republican areas. The removal, the public removal and the dust ups and the problems we saw in Minneapolis, right or wrong, it didn't poll well. You know that and so do I. So making a change there in March, probably a good idea politically as we look toward November, isn't it?
Congressman Mark Harris
I think it is. And I think having a fresh start there. And listen, I think that the fact that really and truly the Democrats continue to try to hold Americans hostage and at probably an extremely vulnerable time when we are in the middle of this conflict over in Iran and taking out the ballistic missiles and waiting to see what's going to happen with the regime change there. There's a lot of, a lot of issues that are being raised and concerns about what's happening at home and for DHS to be defunded by Chuck Schumer and the Democrats that have just sat on this and set on this. Here we are with the Coast Guard not being funded. Here we are with TSA not being funded. Here we are with Secret Service not being funded. And it's just a serious, serious time and we've got to make sure that we step up to the plate And I think that maybe with this fresh start, I know we're going to be voting this afternoon to send another funding bill over to the Senate that we're going to approve, I trust in the U.S. house. I think we're voting later this afternoon. And it's going to be important for us to make sure that we let them know it's time to get this department funded.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
What can you tell us about this Shield of the Americas? This announcement is coming Saturday in Florida. Kristi Noem will be there with the president. Any idea what this is about?
Congressman Mark Harris
This is something that I think is going to be unveiled on Saturday. I don't know a lot of the details about it. I think when you think about the fence in the Western Hemisphere, you stop and you remember what we've seen that has happened already in the Western Hemisphere and this importance that the president has set as a priority to stop the invasion at our southern border, to stop the drugs that have been coming across the border, what we've been able to do and taking out those drug boats and that work. So I would assume not knowing, but I would assume it's going to have something to do along those areas where, again, Secretary Noem has, has worked diligently in her role. And let's face it, this was a position that honestly, everybody in America said we needed to do it. We needed to deal with the issue of our southern border. We needed to deal with the issue of illegal aliens and getting criminal, illegal aliens out of this country. And we got through the first step. We sealed that border so quickly. And then we moved to step two, which is getting the criminal illegal aliens and getting them out of this country. And as you say, there was a lot of dust up. There have been a lot of times that maybe the American people are stopping and pausing and thinking, is this really what we said we wanted to do? And the answer is yes, we've got to do it. It's critical to the future of the republic. And Kristi Noem, I think, has done a yeoman's job at trying to fulfill the incredible responsibility of with overwhelming situation that she inherited.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Seems like her next target might be the drug cartels from Venezuela to Mexico. We'll have to wait and see on Saturday. Congressman, thank you as always. Thank you.
Congressman Mark Harris
It's always great to be with you.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Really appreciate it. All right. Coming up after the break, I'll bring on a Republican candidate who recently entered the race for Georgia's governor. He wants to be the next man. He wants to be the outsider in the election coming up in November. We'll have details straight ahead.

Well, with the 2026 midterms now underway and Republican primaries just held in three states, the fight for the future of the GOP is front and center. And that energy now is filling into the race for Georgia's governor and the next governor of that state. As President, Trump's America first agenda drives turnout and shapes key contests. One conservative outsider is doing well in early polling, positioning himself as the candidate who can carry that momentum forward and deliver real results for voters there in the Peach State. Joining me now is Rick Jackson running for governor of Georgia. Rick, welcome back.
Rick Jackson (Georgia Governor Candidate)
Thank you very much, Steve. I appreciate it.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Good to have you here. The last time you were here we talked about US Antibiotics and now you're running for governor of Georgia. What happened between then and now?
Rick Jackson (Georgia Governor Candidate)
Well, first of all, I was inspired by the way that Trump runs the country like a business. So as an example, when we bought us antibiotics in 21, we changed the name of the company to US Antibiotics and it took seven months under Biden just to get the logo approved. Under Trump, we introduced a new medicine called Amoxicillin XR. We applied in October and got approved in 60 days because they streamlined the FDA and it's just unbelievable what he's done there. In addition to that, I was Talking to the White House about the fact that we make amoxicillin for 7 cents, but Americans pay a dollar apiece because of all the middle people in the process. And, and then they told me, well, next week we're coming out with Trump Rx in order to eliminate the middle people. So it's more cost effective for Americans. And it's those kind of things of running the country to focus on solutions, not excuses. In my standpoint, we need less politicians that just do talk action. And that's why I think we need a businessman to drive results just like President Trump.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Now, you mentioned several things there, and your ads also talk about similarities to President Trump. So let me ask you this. What sets you apart from the others running for this nomination?
Rick Jackson (Georgia Governor Candidate)
Well, first of all, I'm the only businessman in this race that's an outsider. I've never held political office. And like President Trump, I'm not beholden to anybody. I don't owe anybody anything. I'm going to be Trump's favorite governor. I'm going to predict that right now I'm going to do the same things that he does, except with a Southern tone.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
So this polling that's going on, you seem to be having some success early. You've only been in here a short time. What do you think it is that's resonating about your message over well, over career politicians, actually?
Rick Jackson (Georgia Governor Candidate)
Well, first of all, I grew up in the projects, five foster homes. I was, you know, I wasn't able to go to college. But against all odds, I've become very successful in building a business business in healthcare, staffing. We did $3 billion last year. But I have dedicated my life to giving away all the money that I have. And I've been serving other people and helping other people. So I think it helps them to see that, give them hope to achieve the American dream. And they recognize that I'm here to help the people that don't have a voice, to help them, the people that don't have a lobbyist and so forth. And so I'm running to serve 11 million Georgia's in order to have impact for those people that don't have a voice.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Is that one of your main goals then, as an outsider you're hoping to accomplish as governor, to give a voice to those that don't have one today over what we'd see as career politicians? Yes.
Rick Jackson (Georgia Governor Candidate)
I mean, look, a lot of politicians, career politicians, not all of them. There's a lot of good people, but there's many that basically listen to their Donors, every decision they make is filtered through, well, what will my donors believe or think if I do this? I'm going to just take action, period, and get their job done. I'm not going to care what people say or use the money for caring about it. So, you know, my plan is to freeze property taxes, slash the income tax and actually get it done. I'll ban DEI and reverse discrimination and focus on merit. Make Georgia number one place for, you know, deporting criminal illegals. And from my standpoint, because of my lifestyle, I will not allow people to live off welfare. It's a bridge, not a lifestyle. And I'm going to force people to work if they can. Simply put, we're going to win big for Georgia.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
A bridge, not a hammock, as I've heard people say. I think you're saying the same thing, Rick. When you talk to people, the average people out there, whether they grew up in the projects or anywhere else, obviously the cost of living is a concern for folks here and around the country. And for you, too, I'm sure. What can be done to make it so that, you know, groceries or rent or getting a mortgage or whatever it may be is more achievable for average folks.
Rick Jackson (Georgia Governor Candidate)
Well, besides cutting out the unnecessary taxes and so forth like that, what I have seen is that we have to work on the supply chain and we have to have more people providing in the supply chain for food and so forth. I've talked to farmers, and they can only buy from one or two people their raw material in order to do their work. We have to have more competition and do businesses like President Trump, you know, cut deals in order to so increase the supply chain. So when you have more people in the supply chain, you have less prices. And Covid showed us that, that we were very vulnerable. So I think a lot of that is to. To besides taxes and so forth, is to increase the availability of more supply of basic things like food and so forth like that.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
And energy, too, of course. That's a big part of the president's agenda. Energy for America at a better price than we've been paying. These are all very important. Rick, really appreciate you being here. We wish you well in this race for governor. I'm sure we'll talk again.
Rick Jackson (Georgia Governor Candidate)
Thank you very much, Steve. I appreciate it.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Really appreciate it. Now, if you want to know more about Rick and his run to be governor of Georgia, go to rickjackson.com you can find out more. We can make work a better place for healing. Learn more and sign the pledge@workingwithcancerpledge.com well, the Trump administration is taking a bold step in the global fight for free speech, which I applaud. According to recent reports, the U.S. state Department is developing an online portal that could allow people in places like Europe and other countries to view content their governments have blocked for whatever reason, viewing information as if they were standing right here in the United States. The effort is aimed at pushing back against growing censorship overseas and defending the principle that open debate should define the Internet, not government control. Join me to discuss this further is the Director of policy for NetChoice, Patrick Hedger. Patrick, nice to see you today.
Patrick Hedger (Director of Policy for NetChoice)
Nice to see you as well.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
You know they knock on doors at three in the morning and arrest people for reposting something on Facebook. You see this in the uk. You see it all over the eu. The crackdown on free speech is unconscionable. They don't have a First Amendment there. That's why it's the envy of the world. This is the right thing to do. Open up opportunities for people to see things that are otherwise blocked. And that includes Canada too, believe it or not. Patrick, your thoughts?
Patrick Hedger (Director of Policy for NetChoice)
Yeah, I Think you said it perfectly. This is a huge opportunity to emphasize how much the Internet has been a true soft power export for the United States. It's been the key to in exporting our values overseas. And that's also generated a lot of wealth for Americans. The Europeans are jealous of that. And they've built these new regulations, both the Digital Services act in the European Union and the Online Safety act in the United Kingdom, that have resulted in a clampdown on speech that would otherwise be legal here in the United States and huge fines on American technology companies. So this is a really good avenue to show the rest of the world just how far their governments have gone in regulating their freedoms.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Well, how long until the EU governments like the UK crack down on people even looking at these websites or these social media sites if they have illegal information or banned content?
Patrick Hedger (Director of Policy for NetChoice)
Yeah, we're already starting to see a crackdown on this, unfortunately. So I hope this freedom.gov goes live soon because it's going to function like a vpn. A VPN is a virtual private network which essentially allows you to dictate where your IP address is located for privacy purposes. But it also gets around some of these regulations. And governments now are trying to ban the provision of virtual private networks, which is one of the key safety tools that we have out here. So don't let anybody ever tell you that these rules, the Digital Services act or the Online Safety act, are about safety when now the next step is to ban VPNs, which are a crucial safety tool.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
I appreciate that. Absolutely true. Look, why is it that Western civilization that's based on vigorous debate, it is whether it was in Europe or here in the United States, why this crackdown on free speech? What are they so afraid of?
Patrick Hedger (Director of Policy for NetChoice)
Yeah, they're afraid of losing control. The, you know, the European Union, I think, got really spooked by Brexit when folks were sick of the bureaucracy that was being imposed on them with very little democratic accountability. And they are afraid of these movements that want to return power to the people. Look, the Internet has been the greatest decentralization device in history. It has empowered voices that never had a power, never had a platform before. Right. We used to see a lot of concentration in media and we don't see that anymore. A thousand flowers have bloomed and that crucial important debate has happened. The establishment governments in Europe don't like that. And because they don't have the First Amendment, they can get away with this kind of nonsense.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Absolutely true. So here we are looking at this and you put it right Patrick, Western civilization in a broader picture is well served by free speech. And if we can insert free speech by way of social media or websites or whatever on the Internet, that's good for all of us, it's good for Europe. Maybe they'll wake up from the slumber that they're in and say, you know what, maybe we should have free speech. I don't suspect that. But educating that population is just as important as educating our own, isn't it?
Patrick Hedger (Director of Policy for NetChoice)
Yeah, absolutely. I don't think people realize how good we have it right now. And as these laws begin to creep in, the Internet is going to become a much quieter and poorer place. It's going to be a right now you can go on the Internet and find information about anything that you're concerned about, anything that you need. That is starting to be reduced. In the United Kingdom, for example, under their Online Safety act, websites that don't want to be, don't want to comply with the bureaucracy and can't comply with the potentially ruinous fines and other punishments are shutting down topic websites. Dedicated topics like parental advice, hiking, biking, all of these banal topics have shut down in the United Kingdom. And so people are going to quickly realize they're going to get online and it's going to seem like a bit of a ghost town and then hopefully they'll wake up. But by then it may be too late.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Yeah. The thought police are in hyperdrive right now in the EU and of course it's supported by China. It's supported by these totalitarian regimes that don't want free speech. They want the approved narrative only. That's what we're looking at. Patrick, last word to you. Yeah.
Patrick Hedger (Director of Policy for NetChoice)
And the Europeans have regulated themselves out of having competitive technology companies. So it's basically either US Technology companies or Chinese. To your point.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Yeah. Patrick, greatly appreciate your comments today as always, sir. Thank you.
Patrick Hedger (Director of Policy for NetChoice)
Thank you.

Operation Epic Fury continues against the Iranian regime. Details coming up on america's Voice live. Well, the war in the Middle east rippling through the global economy. You probably know that after strikes on Iranian targets, energy markets reacted immediately. Oil jumping, natural gas prices surging overseas as well. Investors are now watching closely as the situation develops and the possibility of a longer conflict raises new concerns about inflation, energy cost and the broader economic impact here at home. Join me to discuss precious metals specialist from Birch Gold Group, Philip Patrick. Philip, nice to see you today.
Philip Patrick (Precious Metals Specialist)
Good to see you, Steve.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
I just looked. Oil has creeped up again today. $79 a barrel a week ago is at about 67. That's about a 35 cent jump at the price at the pump for each gallon of gasoline. Obviously, energy is very impactful, certainly to the American economy. Your thoughts?
Philip Patrick (Precious Metals Specialist)
It's the most important variable right now. As you rightly point out, Brent crude jumped sharply as shipping through the Straits of Hormuz now is very restricted. Those waterways carry 20% of the global oil supply. So it's significant, even temporary disruptions there create pricing pressures across the board. It's important to remember energy doesn't just mean gasoline at the pump. It's important in everything. It's transportation, it's agriculture, manufacturing, air travel, all of it. It flows through the whole economy and it affects price of absolutely everything we spend money on. So, you know, that's what is my biggest concern at the moment. The middle class was already feeling stretched prior to this. Now we have to assess whether this becomes inflationary spike on top of what was already elevated prices. So this could get problematic.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Yeah, it certainly could. Obviously the surge in oil is one example. What else are you watching to monitor what's happening with the economy?
Philip Patrick (Precious Metals Specialist)
Look, I think government debt was an interesting one as well. Historically, during moments of extreme uncertainty like we've seen investors run into federal government debt and yields start to decline. This time, that sort of classic safe haven didn't materialize. The dollar strengthened marginally, but refinancing costs actually went up, not down. That tells us, I think that markets are less worried now about collapse and more worried about inflation. And like I said, we're already in a high debt environment. When inflation risks rise, borrowing costs start to become more sensitive and elevated borrowing costs are one of the biggest problems the government has at the moment. So this has the potential to move from a geopolitical to an economic shock.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Yeah, the impact on consumers is immediate as well. 30 year fixed rate mortgages went back above 6% almost immediately after this happened as well. So we see a lot of stress on the economy now. The administration had gotten inflation down to about 2.4%. Do you expect that to hold or is that going to go up because of the price of energy?
Philip Patrick (Precious Metals Specialist)
Look, it's a tough one at this point. I think duration is going to be key here. If they can really get in and out in a few weeks, I think the impact will be more limited. That looks hopeful, I think, to say the least. If energy flows are disrupted, longer term shipping and insurance costs start to rise, cargo starts to get rerouted, that's going to have, I think, significant inflationary pressures. It's also going to create a question for the Fed. Right. The Fed were already sort of torn. Some people wanted lower rates, others were suggesting higher. If inflation starts to creep up, I think that'll be the catalyst for the Fed to either hold rates this year or potentially raise, depending on how things go.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Yeah. So here's the question. You've got ordinary folks watching right now, folks at home, middle of the country, wherever, and they'll say this is happening overseas hasn't changed my life, my day to day life, except the price of the pump is going up. And they'll say why do I need to care about this? But I think you're telling me why. But I mean it really does impact people right at home. Doesn't does.
Philip Patrick (Precious Metals Specialist)
Look, energy doesn't respect borders. Right. If oil remains elevated, it's going to affect food, fuel, transportation, everything. Oil is the most inflationary commodity of any other. So when prices are elevated, we all feel it. Now I'm not suggesting people panic. I don't think it's a, it's a very useful emotion. But I think this is about preparation and it's about diversification. We already had problems. Problems, right. Elevated prices, rising debt, significant labor market changes, now a military escalation, even if it's one far away. It just adds another layer of uncertainty into what was already a very uncertain climate. So like I said, I think the key here is preparation, not trying to predict. Right. We can't predict ultimately oil prices next week, military timelines, but we can recognize the issues and that is prices remain structurally higher than they were. Energy markets are under stress. Monetary policy is constrained. Precious metals function as a very effective hedge in these climates.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Precious metals, silver and gold, they have not spiked, but they're a lot higher than they were a few months ago or certainly a year ago. What do you say to somebody who says is it too late for me to get gold and silver?
Philip Patrick (Precious Metals Specialist)
The answer is no. Listen, central banks last fiscal quarter just said a and you know, a quarterly record for gold buying it was 5,000 tons, the single biggest quarter in history. Central banks are not buying at current prices with a view that the prices will go down. I say the same thing on silver. Silver's being bought now by central banks. They need it for military capabilities. They need it to win the AI race. China are going to buy silver whether it's at 85 bucks or 150 bucks. So pricing I think will continue to move up. Fundamentals are strengthening every day. So I think there is significant opportunity in front of us.
Steve (Host of America's Voice Live)
Philip Patrick, thank you as always for your insights. Greatly appreciate you being here.
Philip Patrick (Precious Metals Specialist)

What Makes America Wonderful? We do it every day to put a smile on your face before you go on your way. Today's story comes to us from the Children's Hospital in East Tennessee where officials decided to commemorate someone truly deserving. Dolly Parton, American icon. You might know who she is. A famous Grammy Award winning singer also has an altruistic flame to her as she is constantly involved in charitable work. Constantly including the donation of over 3 million books to children as well as various contributions to hospitals, including a recent donation meant to advance pediatric care in her home state of Tennessee. Well, after some deliberation, the Children's Hospital in East Tennessee decided to name its main campus after her. It's now officially known as the Dolly Parton Children's Hospital. Pretty fitting, giving back to those less fortunate something worthy of a mention. And Dolly Parton's selfless attitude towards helping those in need is indicative of what makes America wonderful. All right, now why do you think Texas Democrats chose James Talarika over Jasmine Crockett in the primary? 255 7Bs well, duh. It's obvious to her they cheated. She should get on board and back to Save the Election Integrity act so those slimy Republicans can't cheat again. Yeah, she did say that. President Elect Ducky says first you would have to think like a twisted lefty to be able to question that. Answer that question. I sure can't. CFES writes people are just fed up, period. Host: Steve Gruber
Notable Guests: Rep. Mark Harris (NC), Rick Jackson (GA Governor Candidate), Patrick Hedger (NetChoice), Philip Patrick (Birch Gold Group)
This episode of America’s Voice Live with Steve Gruber delivers a passionate, unfiltered take on current American political events, government shakeups, U.S. border policies, economic turbulence amid Middle East conflict, and free speech issues at home and abroad. The host, Steve Gruber, emphasizes an America-first perspective and critiques current Democratic leadership, raising cultural and political questions through his monologues and interviews.

[20:30–26:17]
[30:46–36:27]
[41:07–46:07]
[48:07–53:43]
[55:38–End]
Steve Gruber's approach is fiery, heavily partisan, and unapologetically critical of progressive/Democratic figures and policies. He frequently cites faith, patriotism, and traditional “American values.” His interview style is friendly to guests aligned with his perspective and combative toward those he critiques in absentia.
This episode offers a sustained critique of the Biden-era Democratic Party, highlights the Trump administration’s actions (real and prospective), and voices populist, America-first concerns about border security, societal values, and economic stability. Interspersed with guest interviews and direct listener engagement, the episode likely resonates with viewers seeking candid, right-leaning news analysis and a sense of community around these views.
