Steve Gruber
Welcome to America's Voice Live. I'm Steve gorit. It's Friday 6th March, the year of our Lord 2026. Let's get to today's top stories. And as always, thank you for joining us here. Unreal. America's Voice. We appreciate it. The war with Iran now a week old, and by all measures, the United States, along with Israel. And now the Arab nations are pounding the regime in nearly endless attacks. But how long will it go on? I'll discuss more on that today. Also, as Operation Epic Fury continues, many experts are showing concerns over oil prices, now over $91. But some say there's a way to counter this by unleashing even more American energy. We'll talk about that and then later. A Pennsylvania state lawmaker has proposed a new requirement for students who attend state universities to take a course examining the history and consequences of Marxism. Ain't that not a bad idea? Right? All that and more coming your way today. But first, we start with leadership from President Trump right now. Kristi Noem was fired yesterday by President Trump as Secretary of Homeland Security. And the president nominated Mark Wayne Mullins, the Oklahoma senator, to replace her in that position. But she's not leaving completely. In fact, President Trump made it clear on Truth Social that Kristi Noem has done spectacular work and thanked her for her outstanding service. According to President Trump's true social post, Noem isn't being sidelined. She's being reassigned to a new role as special envoy for the Shield of the Americas, a new security initiative he will be announcing this Saturday in Doral, Florida. The president praised her efforts in securing the border and keeping our country safe, showing that strong leaders are still valued in his administration, even as responsibilities may shift from time to time. The president even praised Noem in an interview with NBC. Listen to this. Do you still believe in Kristi Noem to deliver on your vision of immigration? Look, she was in charge of the border the border is closed. I mean, everybody gives me a plus on the border. The border was a disaster. People were pouring into our country.
Tommy Aiello
What about the.
Steve Gruber
Don't even try and come up now. You know, the beautiful thing, the caravans. I think I came up with that name. Thousands of people, 25, 30,000 people in a group. You know, who sent them? Their countries. They sent the people that they didn't want. Not only criminals, people that didn't want to work hard, etc. They know who it is. They sent them into our country. We have nobody coming in anymore. We have. Very good. You just asked me, Christy. We have the best crime numbers that we've had in 125 years. I think she's doing a very good job. Again, public relations. She's not getting credit for the job that she does now. It's pretty clear President Trump still believes in Kristi Noem enough to continue serving in his administration. We'll see what he has planned and how she will be utilized going forward. Meanwhile, the President is nominating Oklahoma Senator Mark Wayne Mullen to take over Homeland Security. A former MMA fighter, Mullins, a proven conservative and strong supporter of President Trump and the America first agenda. President Trump made it clear in his post that Mullins has the courage, dedication, and vision to keep America safe and secure. So why is this so important? What I'm highlighting here is the president's leadership style, and it's something we haven't seen for quite some time. You see, the president's not afraid to make big decisions that benefit the American people and America standing in the world at large. You're seeing that right now with strikes on Iran, and you're seeing it right down into smaller decisions such as who serves in his administration and where. President Trump not afraid to shake things up if needed. He is not happy with the status quo that has been clear from the first day of his second administration. And while the President is making strong strategic moves, Senate Democrats led by Chuck Schumer are once again planning to block funding for the Department of Homeland Security. Despite being passed in the House. Here's Chuck Schumer saying the Democrats will not reopen dhs, not now, not ever, or even confirm Mullen as Noem's replacement to take over dhs. Take a look.

What do you think about his selection
Steve Gruber
of Senator Mullen to lead this?
Mark Warner
I told you, this is not an issue of personnel. It's an issue of policy. The rot is way deep down. It transcends any one individual.
Tommy Aiello
Mr. Leader.
Steve Gruber
Mr. Leader. Some Democrats are saying that they Think this might make it easier to for your negotiations? That's up to them.
Mark Warner
They've been, they've been, they've been stonewalling us, but you're in the onsite. They've been stonewalling us on the most important issue. And those have to change. And they have to change them. We have to change them by legislation. Because any one person, I don't trust any one person being in charge of this agency. As long as Trump is president, given the policies he's espoused, given how ICE has been structured, the rot is deep.
Steve Gruber
Does that mean the Democrats are going to block any nominee from getting through?
Mark Warner
As I said, he's got to change the whole policies in ice.
Steve Gruber
Let me answer the question for the senator. Yes, they'll block anything and everything. All they dream about is impeachment. Now, the blocked funding directly impacts the Coast Guard, the TSA and other critical operations at a time when threats are higher than ever. With the ongoing war in Iran raising global tensions, Congressman Tim Burchett pointed this out on social media just a few days ago. Here's what he said. And now with the conflict in Iran, knowing that we have a lot of Iranians here that are not friendly to this country, it's just crazy. It's completely crazy that the Democrats have defunded Homeland Security during all this. I wish our leadership would just call for a vote just on that. Redo it and make them vote, make them both to just see where they're at on Homeland Security right now. Because it is a real issue and it's a goes back to what I've been saying. I don't know some of these Democrats, if they, who do they hate more, the president, United States, President Trump, or the United States of America? Because they are surely right now putting politics above principle. They certainly are. Our border security, our airports and our national defenses rely on proper funding to operate efficiently and fully. Democrats are holding it hostage for political games. It seems from where I'm sitting, they played these kinds of games for years, as you know. The Biden administration, for example, allowed over 190,000 Afghan nationals into this country without thorough vetting or much vetting at all, including many military aged men. And now under President Trump, a strict vetting process has been put in place for immigrants. The Department of Homeland Security now requires countries of origin to verify biometric and criminal records. It's expanded checks to include social media screening and mandates that individuals report in annually. Pretty simple guidelines, not terribly complex, but needed. The Trump administration continues its push to make America better and safer. While the Senate Democrats continue to obstruct and weaken our homeland security at a time when vigilance is critical. All for illegal aliens. Let that sink in. All right. Leadership in the Oval Office is about putting Americans and America first. We Americans want a strong and secure country. We want to know that our government is fighting to ensure our country is safe and that our rights are upheld and defended. So as we move forward to the midterms, I want you to remember this leadership is about results, not excuses. It's about protecting our families, our communities and our nation. President Trump knows what it takes to keep America safe, to honor excellence and to put Americans first. We must stay vigilant, stay informed, and stay united behind leaders who fight for those values, our values. Strong borders, secure communities, and a government that works for us and not play political games at the expense of our safety. America certainly deserves better than that. America demands stronger right now and under President Trump's America first agenda, we'll do our best to keep America safe, proud and free. And that's the monologue Real America's Voice will be covering the 2026 Conservative Political Action Conference from March 25th through the 28th. Be sure to tune in to Real America's Voice for Wall to wall coverage and live updates, breaking news and special appearances including Tom Holman, Michael Whatley, and many more. Mark your calendar because the fight to save the country continues every day. Every day. Coming up after the break, I'll discuss America's unstoppable momentum under President Trump and Operation Epic Fury as it continues against the Iranian regime with nothing but unconditional surrender on the table that was offered by Donald Trump. Unconditional surrender, nothing else. Details straight ahead.

The war with Iran, now about a week old and by just about any metric, the United States, along with Israel and now the Arab nations, are pounding the regime in nearly endless attacks. I expect this to happen until the threat is eliminated once and for all. But how long can it go on? It is going to be a bit of a problem politically, potentially. The US has reportedly sunk over 30 Iranian ships as Operation Epic Fury continues and the Israeli Defense force launched its 15th wave of large scale strikes targeting Iranian infrastructure in Tehran, among other places. Meanwhile, Iran continues its retaliatory attacks across the Middle east Against at least 12 countries Arab states including the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. They've signaled tougher military posture and are considering possible action themselves. Join me to discuss retired Navy Intelligence Commander Paul Chabot, as well as constitutional lawyer and former JAG officer Don Brown. Don, I do want to start with you because you've been out on the campaign trail. I know it didn't end the way you had hoped, but the fact is you're talking to people and right now I just looked oil is at $91 a barrel. That's up from 67 doll eight days ago. Every $10 increase in a barrel of oil is an increase of 25 to 30 cents per gallon of gasoline. That's going to impact real people. That's why I say if this war drags on, I don't know how well it plays politically. Your thoughts?
Don Brown
Well, of course we're going to see some short term fluctuation in oil prices around the world. The solution to that though is buy more American oil. Let's do that. Open the pipelines and open up the supplies here. But the President has taken a bold and decisive action. Things seem to be going well. The incredible footage that we saw that probably la class or Virginia class submarine taking out this Iranian warship with a Mark 48 torpedo the other day was just off the charts. It just shows the superior hand that we have militarily and I think that by the time this conflict rolls in another month or so, we'll see oil prices stabilizing as this regime continues to collapse. I hope so anyway.
Steve Gruber
We'll see what happens there. Paul, I want to bring you into this Conversation. From your position, how is the war being executed? Look, one thing Americans certainly don't want are boots on the ground. But how do you complete the mission?
Paul Chabot
Short of that, it's complicated because it's not just a nation state that we're targeting along with our ally Israel as some of the other allies. A little bit late to the game coming in, Britain, France, but we're also dealing with a completely another component, which is terrorists, terrorism. They don't really own a country, they own an ideology. And that ideology is going to continue to go after American interests. What we got to pay attention to is the Strait of Hormuz. It's a choke point. About 20% of the world's oil goes through that area. That will impact the economy, but interestingly, that's going to impact more so China or Russia than the United States. Look, I am here in Texas. I got three daughters. They all drive cars. We fill them up. Our gas is up about 75 cents a gallon. So we see it and we feel it, but we also know this is temporary. It's for the greater good. But my big concern really is about the terror networks that we are taking on and doing a great job at isolating Iran. Their leadership, their tactical capabilities, their air force, navy's eventually gone. But now we've also got to focus on the terror state networks which are very active in the region, very active today as well.
Steve Gruber
Paul, let me ask you more about boots on the ground. There is a group of hardened soldiers that are willing to go into Iran. The Kurds are on the Iraqi Iranian border. They're willing to fight. They know the regime, they know the territory, they know the circumstances they'd be facing and they would like to be given the green light. What are your thoughts on the Kurds entering this battle from Iraq?
Paul Chabot
You know, that's a really interesting take because we know we're not going to put American boots on the ground in any significant numbers. Certainly we've got Mossad, which is Israeli equivalent sort of to our CIA with boots on the ground, I'm sure, as well as a small contingent of others providing advocacy and looking for targets. But to see another, see the Kurds coming in like they've got a bone to pick. And quite honestly, I think we all do. I was in Iraq in 0809. Many of our American service members in Iraq were killed BY Iranian made IEDs that were killing our troops, our sailors, our soldiers across that region. So this is a new tactic to send in the Kurds. I would say if we do so we're controlling the airspace already, but I haven't thought of that. And I'd have to think more of that to give you a solid response.
Steve Gruber
All right, fair enough. Paul, I've been seeing those headlines. That's why I'm keeping an eye on it. Let's talk about the oil routes, Don, for a moment here. The people that are paying the price the most, China and Russia.
Don Brown
Yeah.
Steve Gruber
In my estimation, China already lost Venezuela from its sources of oil. And with Iran's oil now being slowed down or stopped and the shadow fleet being confiscated by the United States, those ships are not arriving in China and they're not getting that oil at 10, 15, $20 below market rate. And they're not selling it or buying it in Chinese currency anymore. They have to go back to the petrodollar, they have to go back to the American dollar, which means that brics is pretty much dead. From where I sit here today, this is damaging to China and it could make Russia a vassal state because they'll be the ones that can supply China with oil. Your thoughts?
Don Brown
Well, sure. Both Russia and China are negatively impacted. Historically, Russia has lusted for Iran because they wanted that warm water port, Andisabh or whoever along the Persian Gulf. They don't have a warm water port that they can get their ships out. The Russian fleet comes out of Vat of Vlastok in the Pacific and at it freezes over there. The Chinese, for separate reasons, you point out that China is the largest consumer of oil in the world and they need that Iranian oil. And now with the Straits of Hormuz seriously compromised and we are, we're controlling those straits and have decimated their navy. China's coming to its knees to a bit and they've wanted Iran not only for oil, but they would like to have an overland route with their belt strategy, their, their belt and road strategy that Xi has tried to implement all over the world. This is significant. And if you think about it, when President Trump sent those B2 bombers in to decimate Iran's nuclear program last summer, neither the Chinese nor the Russians even knew that we were there with the B2s and the F35s that were accompanying those bombers. And this is a big blow. When you got a president like Donald Trump, you stop and think, and I think if nothing else, we're going to, we're not going to see any action by the Chinese against Taiwan anytime soon. So I think we've got to let it play out.
Steve Gruber
But I think you're right.
Don Brown
Prices will stabilize.
Steve Gruber
Anyone on the globe that question American military superiority. Just review this year, Operation Midnight Hammer, the removal of Maduro from his place of power in Venezuela, stopping that illegal cartel from running all sorts of illegal operations. Drugs, oil, everything. And, Paul, now that China has been cut off from this oil supply that they've been getting at a discount, at a deep discount, because they're taking oil off the market that is not legal for most countries to take, and they wouldn't take it. That has propped up the Chinese economy as well. Because if you get discount energy, well, it's better for your economy. China has a challenge here, don't they?
Paul Chabot
They've got a challenge right now. They've shut down some of their refineries. Their refineries are taking the crude coming in, a lot of them straight up Hormuz to refine that for gasoline. And their economy right now is dependent on that. So they are hurting. This is great news for America because we don't even have to fight China. We just have to sustain what we're doing in the Middle east, continue to show our strength. And I also want to point to two other quick examples. A lot of these drones that Russia is using to attack Ukraine came from Iran or came from Iranian technology. So when you look at what we're doing in the Middle east, we're impacting the war in Ukraine and Russia right now. We're impacting potentially China, looking at the US and still keeping us as a superpower. And, oh, by the way, North Korea is watching this. We used to talk about the four, and today, in the last week, you can remove essentially Iran from this equation. And now we're dealing with three that I think are quite terrified because they're seeing the reality of our military. And by the way, I retired and I've never seen our military this motivated this on target. This president gave them a bonus of 1776. He loves them. What we're doing, what we're showcasing. And look, here's the tickler. Secretary of War and the President himself has said there is more to come.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, a lot more to come. In fact, the B52s have taken wing now. So it's gonna be endless bombing campaigns. We have complete dominance, not controlled dominance of the skies over Iran. Let me ask you this, Don. Now that the Venezuelan situation has been addressed and it seems to have stabilized eight, nine weeks on, if we can have similar success in Iran, that would be beneficial. But there's also a third country that's teetering as we speak, and that's Cuba. We may not Even need to fire a shot in Cuba because their oil was cut off, their electricity is out, the supplies of energy are gone. Cuba could be coming to an end as we know it as well. Don, thoughts on that?
Don Brown
Absolutely. Cuba could collapse economically, much like the Soviet Union collapsed at the end of the Reagan administration, the first of the first Bush administration, because we forced them into an economic war or into a arms race that they couldn't afford. And likewise, Cuba is collapsing economically. I think they'll collapse without a shot being fired. Hope so anyway. But it's just one of those fallout effects like Paul was talking about earlier with other nations are now taking note and capitulating in many ways because of the amazing show of the United States military and superiority here. And so I think we're on, Mark. I think within the next year we're going to see a major regime change in Cuba simply by default. And I certainly hope so.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, Paul, I mentioned it off the top. The real question is duration. How long are we engaged with this war in Iran? I think that has political consequences that could be not favorable to Republicans or the President. Give me the last word here. What do you think? It's conjecture, I realize, but what does your gut tell you about how long this goes on?
Paul Chabot
Look, this is history repeating itself consistently when there's a war. Initially, we all rally behind the President. Right now, about 71% of Republicans are behind the president on this war. That is great numbers for him. But we know this. As wars drag on, the numbers begin to go down. Casualties, we're not going to have boots on the ground. We've had six horrific losses. Small number, but yet there are losses. My concern is that the left is going to try to prop up the United nations, which we know China and Russia have spaces at a table where they're going to criticize what we do. We need to forget the UN we need to do what's right for America and America first and support our allies. And oh, by the way, Britain and France and the other countries should have came to the table on day one. I'm glad they're coming to the party late, but this is really the United States of America leading the free world against evil.
Steve Gruber
Yeah. And then there's Canada. They're in. They're out there in. Good luck up there in Canada with, with Carney. I'll just say that Paul, Don, greatly appreciate you both being here today.
Don Brown
Thank you, Steve.
Paul Chabot
Thank you, sir. God bless.
Steve Gruber
Greatly appreciate it. God bless. All right, after the break, Operation Epic Fury continuing. Many experts showing concerns over These oil prices above $91 a barrel now. But some say there's a way to count by unleashing even more American energy. Can we actually do that? We'll discuss that coming up on America's Voice Live. As the war in Iran intensifies and continues, you're already seeing a big change at the pump. That's what hurts most people. The price of gas, it's gone up tremendously. Oil prices at this moment are now $90 a barrel. They were at about 92. It's come back just a bit, but they're way up. And with nearly a fifth of the world's oil moving through waters near Iran, any disruption there pushes prices even higher. United States producing more energy than ever thanks to President Trump's pro production policies. But global turmoil still affects the market, no question about it. Join me to discuss this. The Senior Director of Government affairs with the National Taxpayers Union, Tommy Aiello. Tommy, the price of gas where I am has gone up about 35 cents. I expect it to go up again tomorrow because this is the way this plays out. A lot of folks that are observers of the oil industry say it's temporary, it will stabilize, but if it does not, there will be a political price to pay, will there not? There will.
Tommy Aiello
And I think the million dollar question right now is how long is this conflict going to go on for? It was a short term conflict. We can see oil prices and gas prices go down just as quickly as they shot up. If it's a little bit longer term, obviously prices and the pain will continue to be felt. And I think what we need to remember is for every $10 increase in the barrel of oil, gas prices rise about 25 cents. Since the start of the year, oil prices are up $30 a barrel. Gas prices up about 40. That indicates to me there's a little bit more pain ahead. But hopefully, if the conflict were to end sooner rather than later, that'll mean better news for consumers than right now.
Steve Gruber
Yeah. And as we know, that energy cost is reflected in everything from groceries to anything you buy, anything that moves around in this country, which is everything. And that will not be well received. People want to see better prices. So we'll see how long this hangs on. You're right. $10 equals 25 cents. Some now predicting that oil is going to go over $100 a barrel. Now, there are those that believe America can produce more oil and more gasoline and offset this. But is that realistic in the short term?
Tommy Aiello
Not so much right now, thanks to President Trump's policies of Lower taxes, lower regulations, and less red tape. We're producing more oil and natural gas than ever before. And I think we need to remember that, yes, gas prices are up a little bit right now, and we can't discount the pain that Americans are feeling. But gas prices were at the lowest point in five years, thanks to President Trump's policies. Now, what gives me a little bit of hope here is oil traders, they are pricing in A$65 a barrel oil price over the next few months. By, by August, they believe oil prices will be back down to 60. So in my mind, that indicates to me that Wall street and investors, they believe oil prices are going to decline over the next five months as the conflict sorts itself out and we're all concerned about inflation. I don't think businesses are going to be making large price adjustments right away. They're going to eat some of those costs in the short term. But again, if this plays out for a longer period of time, that might bleed into the broader economy, but I don't expect it right now.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, here's where the United States can play a role that is using the Navy to escort oil tankers through the state of Hormuz. There's been talk of that. Some are predicting oil could go as high as $150 a barrel before it comes back down. I don't know if that's realistic either, Tommy, to be honest. But if the strain of Hormuz is disrupted for an ongoing period of time, we're going to feel it here at home, aren't we?
Tommy Aiello
We will. And I think that's why Congress needs to step up a little bit and pass something called a bipartisan permitting reform bill that'll give American producers the certainty that they need in order to drill, build that energy infrastructure, and bring more oil to market as quickly as possible. Right now, we have radical environmentalists who are abusing the legal system to stop new drilling, new pipelines. All of that hurts American consumers. It hurts us, and of course, hurts the oil and gas workers that power this country. So the sooner we can pass a bipartisan or Republican only permitting bill, the better it'll be for all of us.
Steve Gruber
I agree with that. Tommy, always good to see you, my friend. Have a good weekend.
Tommy Aiello
Thank you so much.
Steve Gruber
There you have it. All right, think about this. In 2006, $20,000 equaled roughly 33 ounces of gold at the spot price. At Today's prices, those 33 ounces would be worth about $165,000. Remarkable. Smart Americans diversify a portion of their savings into precious metals. That's why you need to consider buying gold from my friends at Birch Gold. Coming up after the break, a Pennsylvania state lawmaker has proposed a new requirement for students who attend state universities to take a course examining the history of and more importantly, the consequences of Marxism in the world. Details coming up on America's Voice live. Well, a Pennsylvania lawmaker sounding the alarm about the growing influence of Marxist ideas on college campuses could have blown that whistle 25 years ago. Republican State Representative Brian Rassel is proposing a new requirement for students at state universities to take a course examining the history and real world consequences of Marxism, socialism and communism, like, you know, the hundred million plus that died in the 20th century as a result. Too many young Americans hear about these ideologies without learning about the economic collapse and political repression they produced and the bodies. The course would help students better understand the dangers of those systems and the value of America's free market principles. Join me to discuss this. The assistant editor for Campus Reform, Will Biagini. Will, nice to see you today. You know, I ask people this question, tell me about the Great Leap Forward, and they look at me with a blank stare. They don't know that, you know, under Chairman MAO In China, 50 million people died just in 1958, 59 and 60. I mean, these are lessons that need to be taught and are not these days. I think this is a great idea. Your thoughts?
Will Biagini
Thank you so much for having me. It's great to be here. It's exactly as you said. A Pennsylvania lawmaker has introduced a new piece of legislation called the Unraveling Socialism Act. And this new would require publicly funded universities to teach the facts about communism and socialism. And these facts show that both of these are violent ideologies that have left over 100 million people dead over the course of the last century. And this new legislation is a proactive approach to restoring intellectual integrity into higher education, which is a direction that schools have lost for decades.
Steve Gruber
Why do we not teach this? That'd be my simple question. Look, you can look at China, you can look at the Soviet Union, you can look at Pol Pot in Cambodia, you can look at Cuba. They are all failed. They all failed. And China's not really as communist as it once was. I mean, they are a free market economy selling stuff to you and me and the rest of the world. So they're not true communists. You know, North Korea is. That's going well, from what I can tell. I mean, why do we not teach this?
Will Biagini
That's an excellent question. And that is because radical leftist professors have an agenda. They don't want to teach the realities of socialism and communism. Instead, they want to teach a rosy, feel good version of socialism that doesn't actually exist. And the reason that they want to teach this is because they want to make students comfortable, because comfortable students are easier to indoctrinate into radical leftist ideologies. And this is something that we've been monitoring for a long time. Here at the Leadership Institute's Campus Reform, for example, at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, there's a course that taught students to read about Karl Marx and then simultaneously described capitalism as oppressive. Additionally, at Washington State University, a professor taught that the United States was founded on something called racial capitalism, whatever that means. So these, these ideologies have permeated American universities for a long time.
Steve Gruber
Right? And they teach us we're on stolen land. Another false premise. But it's propagated by people like Zinn in the People's History of the United States, which is a garbage piece of work, and yet it's spread to kids in middle schools and high schools and colleges. Real historians don't buy any of that. We need to get back to teaching real history. Now, does that mean that there haven't been terrible mistakes and stains in the United States? No, it doesn't mean that at all. There have been terrible things that have happened. But on balance, this country has provided more freedom, more opportunity, more economic ability for more people, not just here, but around the world. Haven't we?
Will Biagini
Exactly. So the way we move forward is to, as you said, restore real history and real civics education back into our university system where it belongs. Because universities should be pointing students towards the truth. Now, while not every piece of legislation is perfect, it's so good to see legislators now taking this issue seriously and taking a proactive stance against it. And we need to see professors in universities teach the realities of socialism and communism, including the underrepresented examples. For example, my own father left Communist Romania in the late 80s, around early 90s period where Nicolae Ceausescu was dictator. And he regularly recounted stories to us of waiting in long, long lines all day just for some meager food rations. And these examples aren't talked about. And professors need to be sounding the alarm on the facts that communism and socialism, sometimes they might sound nice if presented in a rosy light, but in reality, they're dangerous. And they've never worked before.
Steve Gruber
They've never worked. And what they lead to, will. And you know this from your father, based on what you just told me, it doesn't lead to shared prosperity. It leads to shared misery. That's what it leads to every single time, doesn't it?
Will Biagini
Every single time, it leads to that. There has not been one good example of socialism, a flourishing socialist country. 100 million people died in the last century over this ideology. And yet professors, radical leftist professors in university campuses, still want to push this ideology onto students. And it's going to continue to. What's going to happen is that these students, once they graduate, they're gonna flood the job market. And what they're gonna turn out being is just socialist voters. They're gonna vote for the most radical socialist candidate. So it is going to have an impact on the United States at large. It is not limited to just university campuses.
Steve Gruber
No, we're seeing it. People like Ilhan Omar aoc, Bernie Sanders, who has always been considered a kook by mainstream politicians, but somehow Bernie leeched into the conversation. The Bernie Bots, the Bernie Bros. These folks came into mainstream. I think you're right. By way of college professors who have a privileged lifestyle and have coddled children in front of them. And so those comfortable and coddled are easy to influence. I'll give the last word to you.
Will Biagini
Yes, thank you so much. It's great to sound the alarm on these things. Now, as I said, not every piece of legislation is perfect, but it is excellent to see our lawmakers in government offices take this issue seriously and say, hey, we probably should stop from forcing radical socialist ideology onto students. I did a video at Georgetown University a while back, and I saw firsthand that students were totally fine with the idea of a socialist mayor in D.C. which is just astounding and ridiculous to think about. So these universities are churning out young socialist voters, and that will affect society at large in the United States if we don't stand up and say, hey, no, you're not going to do that as a university campus, you're going to point students towards the truth.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, towards the truth. What would John Kennedy say? That would be my question, not the Senator. The President will thank you very much for being here. Greatly appreciate it. Have a great weekend. Furniture. It really is the most important piece of health equipment that you own. There's no question about it. Restorative sleep is so important to your health, you spend half your life on that thing sometimes, but a third of your life for sure. Most people don't even think about their mattress until pain or discomfort or lack of sleep says, hey, wake up. No pun intended. Today I want to talk about why. Just okay. Sleep may actually be driving your frequent chiropractor visits or taking Tylenol or ibuprofen before bed, hoping to sleep a bit better or wake up with less PA pain and stiffness. Joining to discuss this, the CEO and founder of Ghostbed, Mark Werner. Mark, nice to see you again.
Mark Warner
It's great to have to see you and have Ghostbed be on your show.
Steve Gruber
Well look, Ghostbed didn't start as a business idea. It started as a personal health Problem. And it does for so many people. Tell me about that.
Mark Warner
Well, a little background. I come from the Werner ladder family. My grandfather started that over 100 years ago. And my dad's the guy who invented the aluminum ladder and the fiberglass ladder. So I grew up in that type of an environment, branded, high quality US made products. And I'm very proud of it. And we got lots of them out there. But unfortunately, over the years, I've had three neck surgeries. And that neck surgery left me without a good mattress or pillow. That worked for me. So I took what I learned from my years working at the Warner Company in fiberglass and polymers to make a memory foam pillow and mattress. And that was the birth of ghostbed. So I started a family business with my wife and that's how we got started. And American made product. We love it.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, it's all American made. You know, we're so serious about sleep in this house. I have this ring that I wear every day that tells me how much I sleep, what the quality of the sleep is. I mean, it's important, restorative sleep. It helps your body rebuild, helps cells regenerate, it helps everything along. And if you're waking up with aches and pains every morning, a lot of that could be the mattress, couldn't it?
Mark Warner
Absolutely. Absolutely. You know, if you're waking up with pains in the morning, it's kind of a health report card from your mattress saying you've got a problem and it's time to find some kind of new mattress. Sleep time is equal to rejuvenating your person time. So the misalignments in your body and the pains and aches, those are all signals that you need a new mattress. And the typical replacement cycle is seven to eight years. As your body changes weight distribution, pains, and you age, you have different kinds of needs. So it's time for a new mattress. If you're in that kind of a situation.
Steve Gruber
Yeah. So Ghostbed, American made. Let's circle that. Just like the Warner Ladders that you mentioned that have been around for a century, and I've got a whole garage full of those. What's the first real change people notice when they switch to a ghost bed?
Mark Warner
Well, I'm a little biased here, but they love it. And I read over 100,000 reviews that we have on our platform, ghostbed.com or on Costco, where we sell at Costco, Sam's, Amazon, other third party platforms. And the feedback is just phenomenal. Some people say it changes my life. I feel so much better I didn't know I needed a new product until I got the new product. It's just a very, very positive reaction.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, your distribution is tremendous. Costco and Sam's and Amazon, all those great places. Let me ask you this, Mark. Look, me and Ivy, we sleep completely differently. You know, I'm a bit of a side sleeper. She's more of a back sleeper. I like firm. She likes it a bit softer. How do we fix that issue?
Mark Warner
Well, that's a great question. So one of the key things that we lean into is called a split king adjustable. So that would be two adjustable bases, which are two twin XLs, which makes a king. And then you can pick your individual mattress. So if you want something softer, firmer, or something cooler, because we pioneered a lot of cooling technologies, you might want a very cool feel mattress, and Ivy might want a medium feel and medium cooling mattress. And then you have your individual personalized comfort. And then you can raise your position, your head a certain degree to help your back pain. She might have some leg cramps, so she raises it a little bit on her legs. It's got massage, it's got undercarriage lights. It's got all kinds of great features that people just love, and it's really a lifestyle product. And that's what more and more people of all ages are leaning into.
Steve Gruber
You know, I notice, you know, look, it's in your blood to invent things, to create things. It goes all the way back to your grandfather, the ladder company, and so forth. So I was not surprised, Mark, when I noticed you have patented cooling in your mattress. I sleep hot. I do. And if I'm hot, I don't sleep well. So you've got some patented things about these mattresses, not just American made, but cutting edge, too, right?
Mark Warner
Exactly. We have a lot of patents. And I sleep hot, too. So selfishly, I was inventing stuff for me to sleep cooler. And I know that most of the country and the world sleeps warm, so it satisfied a lot of people. So we put the technology in our pillows, in our cooling pillow, in our mattress, in our toppers, in our sheets that are uniquely made with Tencel and Supima cotton. It all comes together as a complete package. And I would encourage people to kind of get look at the whole package to get the full experience for comfort, support, and cooling pleasure.
Steve Gruber
And last real quick question, people say, well, I want to test it. How do you get past that? Because it's not in the store. How do we get past that real quick?
Mark Warner
That's a great question. So what we offer is 100 one night sleep trial. So over three months you can have it shipped to your house via FedEx or a white glove setup. Try it out for over three months. If you don't like it, we'll come pick it up, take it away and give you back your purchase cost. Otherwise, we'll try to exchange it for a different mattress. We would encourage you to take the Marks mattress quiz at the beginning to try to align yourself with the right product for your needs.
Steve Gruber
There you go. Relentless customer service. I would expect nothing less. Mark Warner, nice to see you again, my friend. Great products. Really appreciate you being here.

That's Ghostbed.com Rav the promo code is Rav risk free, American made and from a great family and a great company. I'll take a break and I'll be right back. This is america's Voice live. Welcome back. There's something I want to share with you before we get to the weekend and the end of the program. Today. There's a fight brewing in Tennessee that every supporter of President Trump needs to pay attention to because it directly impacts one of the president's biggest promises, and that is lowering prescription drug costs. And surprisingly, the people threatening that progress right now are not Democrats. They are Republicans in the Tennessee state House. Here's what's happening. Just days ago, during the State of the Union, President Trump highlighted one of his major healthcare accomplishments, dramatically lowering prescription drug prices for American families. He pointed Americans to a new transparency platform, Trump rx, designed to help people compare drug prices and finally break the stranglehold of inflated pharmaceutical costs. Seems like a pretty good idea. But now a bill moving through the Tennessee legislature could undermine that effort. The legislation, Senate Bill 2040, would ban pharmacy benefit managers, known as PBMs, from owning pharmacies. Now, supporters say the goal is to eliminate middlemen in the system, but critics warn the reality could be the exact opposite effect. The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce among those warning lawmakers that the bill would expand government control over private businesses and reduce the options employers have when choosing health care plans. And when optics and options shrink, prices go up. But the biggest concern may be the impact on veterans and seniors organizations representing special operations veterans say the bill could severely disrupt mail order prescription services that many disabled veterans rely on and other disabled people as well. In Tennessee alone, There are nearly 400,000 veterans in the state, including roughly 120,000 disabled veterans, many of whom depend on medication delivered directly to their homes. For veterans living in rural areas, mail order prescriptions aren't a convenience. They are a necessity in those services. If they disappear, some veterans may be forced to travel long distances just to get basic medications to live alright. So critics say that's exactly the kind of unintended consequence that happens when government tries to micromanage healthcare markets. For decades, conservatives have argued that competition and transparency, not heavy regulation, are what actually drive prices down. That's exactly the strategy the president has been rolling out and pushing nationally. The question now is whether Tennessee lawmakers will follow that model or pass legislation that could drive drug prices back up. And voters in Tennessee may ultimately decide that question. We'll see how it plays out. All right, now it's time for what Makes America Wonderful. We do it every day in the hope of putting a smile on your face before you go on your way in this time for the whole weekend. Today's story comes to us from Washington State, where quick thinking, modern technology and a determined wife helped save a man's life. A skier enjoying the slopes at Stevens Pass was suddenly caught in an avalanche that swept him off course and buried him deep in the snow. Trapped and unable to reach his phone, he had no way to call for help as time passed beneath a heavy snowpack. But back home, his wife realized something wasn't right when she couldn't reach him. Instead of waiting, she opened a phone tracking app and noticed his location hadn't moved for quite some time in the mountain. He was stationary. She contacted ski patrol immediately and shared the exact location. Rescue crews rushed to the area, began digging, and after hours of searching through the snow, they reached the skier. They found him alive. Authorities say the precise phone location likely made the difference between life and death, a powerful reminder that sometimes it's not just luck, it's quick thinking and love. A little bit of technology, along with a wife's intuition that turns a frightening situation into a story worth smiling about. That's what reminds us today of what makes America wonderful on a Friday. Hope that carries you into the weekend. By the way, I've got something special for you.
