Live. Breaking news right now here on Real America's Voice. Unfiltered. These people are domestic terrorists and unapologetic. We're here to take a stand for God and country. Let's feel good. America's Voice live starts now. All right. Welcome to America's Voice Live. I'm Steve Gray. It is Thursday, the 13th of November, in the year of our Lord 2025. Let's get to today's top stories. Thank you for joining me here on Real America's Voice. We always appreciate you spending time. Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach has char Coldwater Mayor Jose Ceballos with six felony counts of election fraud. No doubt this brings up concerns over election integrity in America. I'll address that today with the attorney general. Also, a new report shows that South Korea's Fair Trade Commission is targeting American companies, and it's thanks to the weak enforcement under Joe Biden's previous administration. We'll explain what that means coming up. And then later, I will discuss President Trump's recent meeting with Syrian President Abad Al Shara and how improved relations with Syria could benefit Christians in the region. A lot of people upset about this one. We're going to dial in on that. But first we start here. Make no mistake, this is a warning. This is a warning. Socialism is on our doorstep and will be here soon with an ugly America ending vengeance. That is if Republicans don't wake up. And pretty soon. The Democrats are in a wild civil war right now. But do not kid yourselves. The Republicans and the uniparty will soon be in the political guillotine. If they cannot provide economic hope for younger Americans. It's critical, specifically young women who are moving left at a brisk pace right now. The rise of Mamdani should not just be a punchline, but a warning of the gathering storm on the horizon. Make the American dream a reality and not a bumper sticker, or we're going to pay a price. And the price may be the end of America as we've always known it. And once it's gone, my friends, it will never come back. This is, like I said, a severe and direct warning. The Declaration of Independence reads this way. We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by the Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. But you see, the left has conflated happiness with a guarantee of happiness. And let me explain why. Those are two very different things. The government cannot guarantee your happiness, or anything else for that matter. But socialists refuse to accept that. They want to believe that if you can just tax enough billionaires, who wouldn't exist, by the way, without capitalism? If you can just tax enough billionaires and you can fund enough social programs, the government can guarantee your happiness through affordable or maybe even free housing, free education, free health care, free car, free food, and pretty much everything else. But what we have seen time and again is the government is the wrong vehicle through which to pursue those objectives. Always wrong. The US Government is massive. It's bogged down by red tape and bureaucracy and by the needed checks and balances that exist to curb authoritarianism. It cannot serve the varied individual needs of 344 million people. And Americans don't have any right. I'm sorry, you don't have any right to demand that the US Government provide those things to you. You have the right to pursue them. Every day when we try to conflate the right to pursue happiness with the right to happiness itself, we get an inefficient government that gobbles up tax dollars and gives almost nothing of value back. Almost Nothing. Instead, what do we get? We get inflation, the hidden tax. And here it's going to be explained by one of the greatest minds and free market economists to ever live. It's lesson time with Milton Friedman.
Milton Friedman (clip)
Inflation is the most destructive disease known to modern societies. There is nothing which will destroy a society so thoroughly and so fully as letting inflation run right. Inflation doesn't arise because you got consumers who are spendthrift. They've always been spendthrift. It doesn't arise because you've got the businessmen who are greedy. They've always been greedy. Inflation arises because we as citizens have been asking you as politicians to perform an impossible task. We've been asking you to spend somebody else's money on us, but not to spend our money on anybody else. Everybody talks against inflation, but what he means is that he wants the prices of the things he sells to go up and the prices of the things he buys to go down. The real tax on the American people is not what you label taxes. It's total spending. If Congress spends $50 billion more than it takes in, if government spends $50 billion, who do you suppose pays that $50 billion? Of course, the Arab sheiks aren't paying it. Santa Claus isn't paying it. The tooth fairy isn't paying it. You and I as taxpayers are paying it indirectly through hidden taxation.
Steve Guerrilla
You're welcome, by the way. The more responsibilities we hand over to government, the less opportunity we have to pursue those freely, if at all. Case in point, health care. It's in the headlines, right? Health care is a sticking point for millions of Americans. It has the young and old alike depressed over the options and especially the cost. And now many young Americans think the answer is government subsidized health care. But we've already tried this in the form of Obamacare for 15 years. It's only made the problem worse. It was not the utopian dream that Democrats promised to deliver. It was a dream only for the insurance companies, which shouldn't be a surprise because they're the ones who supported it and cashed in in a very big way. In the last election cycle, the top five recipients of campaign contributions from the health care sector were Democrats. Kamala Harris topped the list, receiving over five and a half million dollars in the industry. And the next nine were also Democrats, with figures like Sherrod Brown, the senator, now former senator, and John Tester, the senator and now former senator, both raking in three to four million dollars each. Three to four million dollars each. It is no coincidence that Brown and Tester Both sat on the Senate Finance Committee, where they were instrumental in developing the now failed policy. Oh, yeah, we support it. Of course you do. You're getting rich from it. But let's look deeper into the archives, because all this pales in comparison to what the mastermind of the Affordable Care Act, Barack Obama, pulled in from the healthcare sector back in 2008. During his presidential bid in 2008, Barack Obama raked in, get this, $20 million from the healthcare sector. $20 million. Don't tell me money doesn't affect policy. It certainly does, but that's just the beginning. The health care sector didn't stop there. They dumped over $1.2 billion on lobbying members of Congress just during the 2009-2010 legislative cycle, and another 173 million just in campaign contributions for candidates in 2008 and 10. The majority going toward, you guessed it, Democrats. Why? Why were they willing to pump that much money into just one party? Well, for starters, insurance companies saw their stock rise 200 to 300% after the passage of the Affordable Care Act. That's right. Their stocks doubled and tripled along with Nancy Pelosi's net worth. And they're still benefiting today. The top insurers in our nation have seen their profits increase by 7% since Obamacare. 700% in 2010. They're bringing in between 8 and $10 billion in profit. Today, that number has ballooned to over $70 billion. Obamacare was sold as a basic human right for the average American, but really, it only lined the pockets of insurance companies who were already profiting billions to start with. And Today, only about 7% of Americans actually use the program. 7%. Let that sink in. But we can't just tell the next generation this. Without some solutions, we're losing the next generation. That's the warning. Do not let the success of 2024 fool you. Rasmussen Reports pollster Mark Mitchell spells it out bluntly right here.
Mark Mitchell
When Trump wins an election, he convinces a higher proportion of the under 40 vote to turn it out for him than we've ever seen before. All the Republicans say, look at us, we're so great. We just, you know, we won the youth vote because Republicans are great. It's like, no, these people are not conservative and they hate. You voted for Trump to give him a chance of fixing America, and you're screwing it up. And so I look at these people, even the ones that say they support Trump are overwhelmingly supporting socialist policies. And, you know, that's wild. That's new. These people want major industries nationalized. They want excess wealth distribution. They just want America fixed and they don't care how it's done.
Steve Guerrilla
And that's dangerous. So how do we deliver on Trump's agenda? How do we make America more affordable again? Let's go back to the health care issue. I really like the solution being offered by President Trump and supported by people like Senator Roger Marshall. That's Dr. Marshall, by the way. He has over 25 years of experience in the medical field. The plan is to turn patients into consumers, free up the billions we're sending to insurance companies and put it back into Americans pockets. Into your pocket. Senator Marshall has promised to have a plan out by next month. I'm looking forward to seeing it. And that's not all this administration has done for healthcare. You've got TrumpRx, the US government website launching in 26, enabling directed discounts to consumers for drug purchases from manufacturers like Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk to cut prices on the most favored nation status deals. Trump also put the screws on Big Pharma to put caps on insulin to just $35 a month, which will save Americans millions of. He did the same for GLP1s, making them much more accessible to Americans who are trying to get healthy again by allowing them to buy straight from the manufacturers and bypass insurance companies. These are good steps in the right direction, but the Republican Party must be laser focused on affordability. That's the word, my friends, Affordability. Or they're going to lose it all. Part of the problem is that Gen Z is being brainwashed into believing socialism is a viable option. I played you a Milton Friedman clip just a moment ago. But the next generation didn't get to hear from Milton Friedman or Thomas Sowell or any of the great free market thinkers because our government schools are stacked against us. They don't teach those things. Charlie Kirk may have exposed this better than anyone else when he made those stops at college campuses across this country. Listen to this.
Charlie Kirk
For example. What do you study? Can I ask?
Steve Guerrilla
Economics.
Charlie Kirk
Okay, so what do you think of Thomas Sowell?
Mark Mitchell
I actually really like him.
Steve Guerrilla
I bought his book Basic Economics.
Mark Mitchell
He's one of the first economists.
Charlie Kirk
Do they teach it here?
Steve Guerrilla
Not yet, but also.
Charlie Kirk
Okay, so now you're proving my point. If you're studying economics and they're not teaching Thomas Soul, you're not getting an education. You're getting an indoctrination and you're being scammed. Okay, Milton Friedman. Do they teach Milton Friedman here?
Steve Guerrilla
No, but I'm aware of him.
Charlie Kirk
Okay, Ludwig Von Mises, I'm aware of him. But no Murray Rothbard. Hold on. No FA Hayek, no Frederick Bastiat. No, you're not getting economics education. You're getting an indoctrination. You should know everything. It's not your fault. But what you're paying for or going into debt for is not a real economic education.
Steve Guerrilla
It's not an education at all. Rescuing public education from the grip of the left is going to be a long uphill battle, but it's not one we'll even be around to fight if the Republican Party doesn't offer a viable conservative alternative for affordability to the next generation. Capitalism works. We need to show young voters that it does. I'll leave you with one more gem from Milton Friedman when he destroyed one of the early far left TV stars, Phil Donahue, on our economic system compared to anything and everything else. And here's today's closing argument.
Milton Friedman (clip)
Listen, did you ever have a moment of doubt about capitalism and whether greed's a good idea to run on? Well, first of all, tell me, is there some society you know that doesn't run on greed? You think Russia doesn't run on greed? You think China doesn't run on greed? What is greed? Of course none of us are greedy. It's only the other fellow who's greedy. The world runs on individuals pursuing their separate interests. The great achievements of civilization have not come from government bureaus. Einstein didn't construct his theory under order from a bureaucrat. Henry Ford didn't revolutionize the automobile industry that way. In the only cases in which the masses have escaped from the kind of grinding poverty you're talking about, the only cases in recorded history are where they have had capitalism and largely free trade. If you want to know where the masses are worst off, it's exactly in the kinds of societies that depart from that. So that the record of history is absolutely crystal clear that there is no alternative way, so far discovered, of improving the lot of the ordinary people that can hold a candle to the productive activities that are unleashed by a free enterprise citizen.
Steve Guerrilla
And there you have it, the closing argument. A great argument. It's one that Americans need to hear. But more importantly, it's one they need to see work. And I'm calling on the Republican Party to make that happen. Because if you don't, the unhinged socialists that took over New York City will soon take over your neighborhood or your county or your state. It's all about affordability. And Republicans better get to work or like I said, we will lose it all, my friends, you have been warned. Coming up after the break, I'll discuss recent events in Coldwater, Kansas, where the mayor, who is a Mexican national, by the way, was arrested for six counts of election fraud. A pretty serious topic considering the midterms are coming up in less than a year. Details straight ahead.

Well, election integrity is a core American principle that keeps our elections fair and honest. At least we hope so. And when our elections are compromised in the full weight of the justice system, it has to be brought down. It does. We have to stop this. Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach has now charged cold water Mayor Jose Ceballos with six felony counts of election fraud, three for voting illegally and three for election perjury. Remarkable. Ceballos, a Mexican national and permanent resident, was not eligible to vote, yet ran unopposed in the tiny Comanche county town of just 687 people. State law requires city office candidates be qualified voters. Officials say programs like the USCIS SAVE system exist to prevent cases like this from happening. Now, it must be decided whether or not Ceballos can stay in office, all while he faces potential prison time of more than five years, which brings up serious concerns about election integrity. Joining me now to discuss this event, who brought these charges against Ceballos? Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach. Chris, thank you for being here.
Kris Kobach
Great to be with you.
Steve Guerrilla
Look, election fraud, I'm told, day after day on social media and from places like MSNBC and cnn, it doesn't happen in America. It's just, it's a fantasy of the right. Apparently it's not a fantasy at all. Is.
Kris Kobach
Is certainly not. And you know, this individual perhaps is gaining a little bit more attention by virtue of the fact that he was elected mayor. But the crime is being mayor is inconsistent with Kansas law. But that's not what he's being charged about. He's being charged with the crime of election perjury and voting without being qualified, which if you are not a US Citizen and you try to vote, you are voting without being qualified. And it's a serious thing. It happened. This individual did it. In multiple election cycles. There is the SAVE system, which you alluded to a moment ago. That's a federal database. But for years, attorneys general, secretaries of state and the various states have been asking for access to this so that we can start looking at people who are known aliens living in the United States and make sure they're not on our voter rolls. And only now, under the Trump administration, finally, do we have access to it. And that's one of multiple ways you can start to look at your voter rolls. But up until this point, there was no way. You couldn't. You had to have some sort of tip, some sort of outside information to know that this particular person on your voter rolls is a citizen or a non citizen. Our system was based entirely upon trust up until this point, because the person just checks the box and says, I'm a US Citizen when they register to vote.
Steve Guerrilla
So tell me about this. You have to be a legal voter. He's not. He's a Mexican national in the country legally, is what you've explained to me here. How often does this happen, do you think? I mean, seriously, this is Kansas. It's a small town. There's only 700 people there. How does he expect that he's not going to get caught?
Kris Kobach
You know, that's very interesting. And as the case moves to trial, you know, some of that information may come out as to, you know, how he held himself out, whether it was as a citizen or a non citizen. But the bottom line is when signing documents for election purposes, you have to be truthful and you have to, if you are not a US Citizen, you cannot claim to be a US Citizen. But as a policy matter, you ask the question, how, how big is this problem? It's very big, Kansas. We tried. When I was Secretary of state, I drafted a law that would have required proof of citizenship when a person registers to vote, because at that point, you can actually do something, you can put a filter on at the front end to make sure that only US Citizens get onto the voter rolls. And that was challenged by the ACLU in court. Surprise, surprise. And we presented an expert witness who looked at the Kansas voter rolls and estimated that there were probably multiple thousands of non citizens already on our voter rolls, many of whom vote would be voting. And now it's appearing that now that we have access to the SAVE database, that it will indeed be multiple thousands of voters in a relatively small state. Kansas population is 3 million people. So, you know, if you talk about large states that have virtually no protections in place and very lax approaches to voting such as, say, California, then the numbers are probably staggeringly high. Sure.
Steve Guerrilla
See that brings to the big question, Voter ID, citizenship requirements. How critical are those things going forward in America? Because look, we see when people vote legally and honestly, the outcome tends to swing more to the right than to the left. But when you have irregularities, it seems to me it goes the other way. So how critical in your mind do you find voter ID and citizenship requirements? Because those are being proposed now. And of course you get called all sorts names. You're a racist, you're a bigot, you're a xenophobe. No, I just want the vote to count for the person that's casting the ballot, and I want that person to be a legal voter. Your thoughts?
Kris Kobach
You know, that's what everybody wants. I think whether you're a Republican or Democrat, you want to, or at least I would hope you would want the outcome of election to be a fair one. And every time a non citizen votes, it effectively cancels out the vote of a U.S. citizen. I mean, this is important and you know, I would hope that we could move toward broader measures like Kansas already has. We're one of the dozen or so states that has photo id, very robust photo ID without exceptions. And we are one of only a handful of states that have tried to put in place proof of citizenship requirements. That case got challenged. We drew what I think is an unfortunate panel of judges on the 10th Circuit, and they ruled the wrong way. Had the case gone to the U.S. supreme Court, I'm certain our proof of citizenship requirement would be back in place in Kansas. The issue may go to the court through Arizona. But the bottom line is, look, as a country, we have to recognize that with this many tens of millions of citizens, both legal and illegal, of other countries living here, there's a very good chance that many will get registered, some intentionally where they are trying to register, knowing that they are illegally in the country, or, sorry, illegally voting whether they're legal in the country or not, and others unintentionally. You know, another big problem is the Motor voter law of 1993, which requires registration at DMVs. You know, it's a, it's a noble idea, but the problem is that so many DMVS will ask people as a matter of course, even if the person has just told them that they're here on a green card and they're not a US citizen, they'll say, would you like to register to vote? And so one thing we have found is that many people unknowingly register to vote when they are not US Citizens.
Steve Guerrilla
Here's a loaded question on that, intended or unintended, that voter motor law consequence of having people register intended or unintended. Your opinion, Mr. Attorney General.
Kris Kobach
You know, back in 1993, I would hope that it was unintentional, you know, president, it was signed by the president. There was, there was Republican support and Democrat support for it, although more Democrat than Republican.
Steve Guerrilla
I don't know.
Kris Kobach
I don't think people expected that there would be thousands upon thousands and in some states, perhaps millions of non citizens on the voter rolls.
Steve Guerrilla
Voter integrity a pivotal issue in 2025. Sir, thank you for being here.
Kris Kobach
Absolutely, My pleasure.
Steve Guerrilla
All right. Coming up after the break, a new report shows that South Korea's Fair Trade Commission is targeting American companies and weak enforcement under Joe Biden's previous administration, allowing it to happen until now. Details coming up.

Well, there's a new report out there today that raises serious concern about one of our closest allies, South Korea, and how they've been treating American companies. It's a problem we inherited from the previous administration. Go figure. And it's one that has real economic consequences for the United States. During the Biden administration, South Korea's competition authority, the KFTC, was allowed to systematically target U.S. companies with aggressive investigations, raids of their Korea based offices and even threatening employees of American companies with criminal charges. A new report out by the National Bureau for Asian Research shows those threats are still happening and now escalating under Korean President Lee. This isn't fair competition policy. This is regulatory warfare designed to give Korean corporations the advantage. Of course, this is happening again because the Biden administration refused to push back. We know this because we've seen the contrast. Back in 2019, under President Trump's first term, the United States confronted South Korea on this exact issue. The US Trade representative forced Korea to sit down under the Korus trade Agreement and Korea backed down immediately. Strength worked. But under Biden, there was no enforcement, no pressure and no consequences. And as a result, South Korea has resumed the same discriminatory tactics against American companies. And the damage isn't theoretical, it is measurable. Another recent study from the Computer foundation, from the Kapitare foundation, that is finds that because of the ongoing regulatory discrimination that took place during the Biden years, the United States stands lose over $525 billion of economic activity over 10 years. That translates to roughly $3,800 per American household in lost economic value. Think about that. It's exactly what happens when US Industry is not defended on the world stage. This fall, President Trump posted warnings to Korea on Truth Social about this very thing. USTR Jamison Greer, he's a US Trade representative, has spoken out. Capitol Hill Republicans recently sent a letter confronting KFCT leaders on this topic. The House Judiciary Committee now investigating. Yet the KFTC is ignoring us and working right now to enact even more aggressive discriminatory legislation against the United States. When American leadership is passive, other countries move to protect their own economies at our expense. They put their countries first. Quite a concept, isn't it? Now to be clear, this is not about being anti South Korea. It's not. South Korea is an ally. But an ally does not get to undermine American companies and our economy and expect silence. The principle is simple. America must defend American workers and American businesses every single time. And that's why this matters now. The situation we're dealing with today is aggravated by Biden's failure to enforce fair trade and failure to protect U.S. companies abroad. Our job now is to correct it decisively and make it clear that the United States will not allow its companies to be targeted. Trade agreements must be honored and America's economic interests will be protected again. Because when America leads with strength, well, the world respects us. And when America is weak, as you know, the world takes advantage. We are not going to back weakness anymore. We are restoring America first. A new administration in D.C. has brought a lot of attention and positive changes when it comes to fixing the broken health care system. The reality is, however, that there is only so much the government can do, no matter what you think. All right.

On Monday, the Syrian president Ahmad Al Sharah met with President Trump signaling a major shift in U. S. Syrian relations after a long history of real problems. Ahead of the visit, the US Military released a video showing Al Sharra shooting hoops with CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper, a surprising image giving his past as an Al Qaeda commander with a $10 million US bounty for attacks on Americans and allied forces. Despite that history, the White House is hopeful Al Shira can help advance President Trump's vision of for long term peace in the Middle East. Meanwhile, 100 faith leaders are urging President Trump to use the meeting to protect Christians and Druze in southern Syria. Here with me to discuss this is the president of Summit Ministries, Dr. Jeff Myers. Jeff, thank you for being here.
Dr. Jeff Myers
This is similar to the issue we talked about a couple of weeks ago related to what's happening in Nigeria. And the president's response that has really put religious freedom on the table is one of the things we are going to talk about with different countries and that's completely different than the previous administration.
Steve Guerrilla
This has a lot of people very upset, as you know, it has a lot of people upset that they had a terrorist in the Oval Office meeting with the president. United States. Now I want to give people a little bit of a history lesson before we Go down that rabbit hole, Jeff. And that's this for anybody that doesn't know. President Richard Nixon flew to Beijing, China, on Air Force One, 1972, to leave to meet with the biggest mass killer in world history, Mao Zedong. And at that very time in 1972, the Chinese were backing the Viet Cong that were actively killing Americans. As I recall, Barack Obama met with Fidel Castro and drank beer and ate hot dogs and laughed at a baseball game. Another guy who actively killed Americans. So sometimes you have to deal with bad people to get good results, don't you?
Dr. Jeff Myers
I think so. And I understand the concern. Alshara was a leader of an Al Qaeda affiliate. There was a $10 million bounty on his head at one point. But now he is the head of this nation. And the security of Israel, the security of the Druze people and Christians in southern Syria all depend on how the President handles this situation. When you share a planet with somebody, sometimes you have to actually work with them.
Steve Guerrilla
Yeah. You know, look what's happening in Nigeria. What's happening in Syria. And to be honest with you, Christians aren't very popular in China either. I go back to that, you know, and they get targeted and they get disappeared. We need to do a better job protecting Christians globally by using the strength of Washington, the White House, do we not?
Dr. Jeff Myers
I believe that's exactly right. You know, my friend Matthew Farace says it's almost like a new Monroe Doctrine that the President has put forward. We are going to talk about religious liberty issues, religious freedom, and it's a very simple right. That is the fundamental right. If a nation diminishes people's ability to worship God as they see fit, they will begin to attack all other freedoms. So the trick in Syria right now is that these government forces have essentially surrounded this community of Druze and Christians. Christians have been forced out of that country. Used to be 10% of the population in southern Syria. Now it's maybe down to 2% forced out. And they, you know, but the people who remain there have no place to go. That's why these other faith leaders and I signed this document. Look, the President is going to have to meet with this guy. There's not really any way around it. But what he can do is use his leverage to say, let's open up a humanitarian corridor to Israel to make sure that these people get the aid they need and that the slaughter stops.
Steve Guerrilla
Yeah. So why are we allowing. And I guess I'm talking about the global community, to be honest, Jeff. Why are we allowing people to be eradicated because of their faith. It's 2025, and you would think that we had advanced globally beyond that, but we certainly have not. People are targeted for the religion, and Christians and Jews targeted more than anybody else, from what I can tell, from what I read, from what I understand. And we have to do more. We just have to.
Dr. Jeff Myers
You know, one thing, Steve, that I've often talked about, and I wrote about this in my book, should Christians Support Israel? These aren't just geopolitical issues. They are theopolitical. And if you ignore the fact that there are religious differences, not just tribal differences or geographical differences that cause these conflicts, then you're better able to deal with them. This particular situation is especially complex because the Jews and Israel are involved. Druze in Israel involved. This is a minority group that kind of came out of Islam hundreds and hundreds of years ago and sort of an eclectic kind of religion that's not anything like Christianity or Judaism or Islam, but still a significant part of the population. And then you've got Christians who've. Who've been in this mix as well. I think it's really incumbent on the nation of Syria, if they want to be taken seriously in the international realm in the future, to say this slaughter has to stop it. The government can't just throw people off of buildings just in order to show that it's powerful. It's unbelievable that that is happening. And I think President Trump is probably one of about the only people who can really help fix that right now.
Steve Guerrilla
Yeah, I think he might be. You know, again, he is a unique figure, a flawed individual, I think that's fair to say, but a providential in many ways. A guy who has the interest of America first, takes the interest of Americans and Christians and puts it in the priority column, it's incredibly important. So regardless what you think of him, is he a flawed human being? Aren't we all, to be honest? But he's in a position to make a huge difference. You're right about that. And I don't know that anybody else could do that. I'll give you the last word.
Dr. Jeff Myers
I don't think anyone elected Donald Trump to be a saint. They elected him to be President of the United States, which involves helping our allies like Israel figure out how to have peace with surrounding nations. And Syria is one of those nations. They have been in a state of war since 1948. The tension is ongoing. This current situation threatens that peace. And if the president can figure out how to work with Syria and work with Israel and Saudi Arabia and Jordan and all the other nations in the region, it'll be near miraculous. Something like that has never happened before.
Steve Guerrilla
Yeah, the Abraham Accords. Donald Trump wants these folks in the Abraham Accords, and he wants them all in all the countries in the neighborhood, and that would be a big step forward. Dr. Jeff Myers, always a good conversation. Thank you for being here.
Dr. Jeff Myers
Thanks, Steve.

All right, don't go anywhere. America's Voice live. We will continue after a brief commercial break and I'll discuss the App Store Freedom act that allows the government control over the App Store. What does that mean? Oh, you'll want to stick around to find out. Foreign for her soul. Our freedoms are under attack. Our values are being torn down. And the same corrupt elites who built this mess think they can silence us, the patriots who still believe in this country. Not a chance here. Real America's Voice. We're standing shoulder to shoulder with amac, the association of Mature American Citizens, the movement that says we will not be silenced. There is no force on earth that can stop us from saving our country. The voice of millions of patriots who refuse to kneel to tyranny. This is the movement of fighters, men and women who still believe in God, family and the American dream, the conservative alternative to aarp. Real rights. They come from God. If you're ready to stand up and join the fight, go to AMAC US RAV right now. That's amac US US rav. Because this isn't just about politics. It's about saving America, Faith, Freedom, America first, amac and Real America's Voice. United for the Republic. Well, safety and security for kids online is one of the biggest worries parents have nowadays. I can tell you that from personal experience, especially because young people have access to a device with Internet capabilities at young ages oftentimes. Well, Congress is now proposing a new bill titled the App Store Freedom Act. It claims that it will give Americans access to alternative measures of installing apps and more choice when it comes to security measures. While this sounds like a good, solid idea, especially for parents, critics argue that the established companies such as Apple and Google have a solid foundation when it comes to security measures. And further note that the government should not have any influence on what happens on their phones. Join me to discuss is the director of policy at NetChoice, Patrick Hedger. Patrick, welcome back to the program. All right, so we have, look, we have a 13 year old in the house and my wife is. She's on it, right? She has complete control of that phone. She can allow. Not allow. You're not getting on Twitter. You're not getting on Facebook, you know, certain things. No, you're not doing these things. And so parents already have a fair amount of control, don't they?
Patrick Hedger
Yeah, they've got a lot of control. And unfortunately, what this bill would do is weaken those controls inherently to allow for different types of software to be loaded onto your phone. What's kind of nice about the modern operating system is that it's a lot more difficult to get malware onto your phone or things that you don't want on there versus a conventional computer or a laptop of the old days, where if you clicked on the wrong thing, all of a sudden you could have a virus. And so by controlling the channels of which software gets onto your phone through an app store and through a vetting process, you see a real reduction in those problems. And unfortunately, what this bill would do, as well intended as it may be, would blow open a lot of those security protocols that Apple and Google have put in place, and it's their apps review and in the security systems that are inherently built into the phone. And all of this is in the name of potentially increasing competition. But what it really is is a subsidy to the apps, like video games and dating apps, to be able to get around the secure payment systems that Apple and Google have for their app stores.
Steve Guerrilla
Which begs the question, Patrick, who's behind it? Who's really behind it? Not the members of Congress. Who's writing the checks to try to push this through.
Patrick Hedger
Yeah, ultimately, what we're seeing is that there's a lot of folks that want to be able to free ride on top of the stock systems that Google and Apple have built. Right. You don't build a secure app ecosystem or app store for free. And so that cost needs to be borne by app developers that take advantage of those systems, take advantage of the trust that Apple and Google have built with users that allow for the free downloading of apps essentially through throughout the App Store. So what we're seeing is, you know, you have large companies that control a lot of things like dating apps, as well as video game companies that want to engage in microtransactions, being able to scale, sell you a new gun or a new skin within that game. They're the ones that are pushing this type of legislation.
Steve Guerrilla
Well, the critics would argue. So let me play devil's advocate for a moment here, and let's react to that. The critics would argue that Apple and Google have monopolies in effect, and they smash out the small players like those game apps and others, and they'll say this is the only way we can compete and fight back. Your thoughts?
Patrick Hedger
Well, you know, Apple and Google's operating systems operate differently. And what this bill would actually do is try to make them operate the exact same way. So Apple has a more of a closed ecosystem. Google has a little bit more of an open ecosystem. But by removing that difference, you're essentially removing consumer choice at the most important level, which is the what type of device you're going to purchase. And some people like the fact that the Apple system is more closed and more secure, and some people like the more openness of the Google system. And, and really you're also looking just at the mobile operating system. These apps compete in, in on laptops. They compete on video game platforms as well. So there are a lot of different distribution channels.
Steve Guerrilla
All right, so where are we in the process getting legislation through Congress these days? It's a heavy lift. Is, does it have bipartisan support? Does it come from one side or the other? What, what's the prognosis of this legislation?
Patrick Hedger
Yeah, so this is really kind of emulating something that we're seeing happening in the European Union, which is again, the micromanaging of American technology companies. Regardless of what consumers really want and what they're trying to do here, this is a bipartisan push to unfortunately attach it to a child safety package. But again, as we talked about at the top of this segment, this inherently weakens parental controls that are already in place. So I think it's a real miss to try and debate this as part of a broader push to keep kids safe online.
Steve Guerrilla
Well, there you go. Well, Patrick, we'll keep an eye on how this plays out and see who wins and who loses. But parents, please be mindful what your kids are looking at. It's important. Patrick Hedger, thank you.
Patrick Hedger
Thank you.
Steve Guerrilla
All right. Every so often, something happens that reminds us just how fragile our freedoms are. We can't afford to take our rights for granted. We must draw a line in the sand. The show’s tone is combative, impassioned, and advocacy-driven. It features frequent warnings to the GOP and conservative movement, appeals to foundational American ideals, and maintains an undercurrent of skepticism toward mainstream media narratives and Democratic policies. There is also a theme of “urgent civic responsibility,” especially on affordability, election integrity, and national leadership.
This episode weaves together America’s economic anxieties, election security, trade policy, and cultural concerns, tying each to the necessity of strong, principled leadership and vigilance in both policy and values. Through expert guests, historical context, and economic analysis, Steve Gruber issues a consistent conservative call to action: defend freedom and prosperity by confronting socialism, securing elections, standing up for Americans abroad, and keeping families and children safe in a competitive and changing world.
