America's Voice Live starts now.
Steve Gruber
And welcome to America's Voice Live. I'm Steve Guerre. It is Friday the 8th of May, the year of our Lord 2026. Let's get to the day's top stories. As always, thank you for spending time with us here in Real America's Voice. We appreciate seeing you on a Friday. The ceasefire with Iran is holding on paper, but tension still high in the Strait of Hormuz with some shots being fired. U.S. forces say they stopped new threats in the Strait while the White House waits on Iran's next move in these fragile peace talks. More on that today. Also, Michigan Democrats in turmoil after its convention vote spiraled into confusion and possibly fraud. Even the state attorneys general is calling for a recount. More on that today. And then later, a recent survey found that more than half of the participants view the IRS in a negative way. I'm shocked. Even more say that the agency should be held to a higher standard. All that and more coming up on today's show. But first, the big news of the day and a huge win for new congressional districts or stopping those in some places. The Virginia Supreme Court has struck down a Democrat backed congressional redistricting plan ruling the map was adopted through improper procedures and it cannot stand because it is unconstitutional. The 4 to 3 ruling restores the prior district lines, handing Republicans. It's a huge victory legally and resetting the political map and one of the country's key battleground states until at least 2030 voters nearly approved the amendment April 21. But the court's ruling renders the results of that vote invalid. Joey discussed Real America's Voice chief White House correspondent Brian Glenn. Brian, nice to see you today.
Brian Glenn
Good to see you, Steve.
Steve Gruber
All right, so this, a big decision out of Virginia was part of the Democrats master plan. Get California, get Virginia, move seats around. And look, that's happening all over the country. We get that. But Virginia, they violated every rule you can think of. And the Supreme Court, even a left leaning one in Virginia said, yeah, we can't allow that, it's unconstitutional. What are your thoughts?
Brian Glenn
Yeah, you're right. They got caught, Steve. They got caught trying to basically maneuver the Democrat Party in terms of redistricting, doing it by the maps. And I said this the other day, Steve, I want Republicans to win elections on policies and what we can provide for the American people. We think we have the best policies that will improve the average American life. Now the Democrats, I feel like they have to maneuver the congressional maps. They have to redistrict. That's the way they do it. They want to fight us mathematically in that regard. Republicans, I like to see us do it with policies. And so I've been, you know, don't necessarily like this redistricting move. Now I will say this, Stephen. You know this. President Trump won 87% of the counties in the 2024 election. That's a lot, 87% of the counties. Now there are some states that are not drawn right. They have almost zero representation for Republicans. And perhaps that needs to be corrected. But the judge Made the right decision in Virginia with this. And. And I think that we can applaud the fact that I think justice prevailed and common sense prevailed and the law prevailed in this case.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, well, gerrymandering has been something that Democrats have mastered for years now. You look at all of New England, not a single Republican. You look at Illinois, 14 to 3 in favor of Democrats there. California, more of the same. New York, more of the same. And now Republicans are saying, look, the Supreme Court decision says we can't have districts based on race. So therefore, Louisiana is going to get in it, because that's where the case was decided. You can't have unconstitutional congressional districts. Tennessee joined, Florida joined, Texas joined, as you know. And so they're redrawing these maps based on. Not on race, but on community and distribution, so forth. It seems to be a leveling of the playing field. People on the right are applauding this because, again, you go to New England, 45% of the people in New England are Republicans, and there's not a single member of Congress. Right. So this is a big. It's a big blow to the Democrats. For sure.
Brian Glenn
It is. And, Steve, if we took it a step further, in last session of Congress, there was a bill to basically make elections safe again. And they were going to call for a new census to do a new national census to actually determine who's here legally and who's here illegally. So if they based a new census off confirmed US Citizens, that would, in fact, do a little bit of redistricting in a way, but it would reallocate representatives in the states. So take a state like California, and right now, it's. Everyone's counted in their census. But if you just held it to US Citizens and who is a legal citizen of the United States, that could perhaps change the election landscape of just how people vote legitimately, how people vote. But when you have, you know, the mass, you know, mail in ballots and things like that that President Trump is obviously trying to correct in the Save America act, which. That's a whole other subject that the Senate can't get through, that would clean up the elections as well, Steve. So I think that's another step in the right direction.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, we'll keep a close eye on it. Of course, the midterm elections, incredibly critical, as you pointed out, Brian. Now, unfortunately, going forward, I'm not gonna be able to talk to you about it because for those of you who don't know, this is Brian's final day in journalism. It is. I'm not gonna have Brian. To talk about these things. It's his final day here at Real America's Voice. And, Brian, look, I wanna share something with you and with the audience. I think you'll like it. Listen to this.
Brian Glenn
Hi, America, it's Brian Glenn. I am excited to announce that I'm coming here to Real America'. Let's go.

Why don't you wear a suit? Why don't you wear a suit? You're the highest level in this country's office, and you refuse to wear a suit? Do you own a suit?
Steve Gruber
Maybe something like yours?
Colonel Rob Manus
Yes. Maybe some. Something better.
Steve Gruber
I don't know.
Brian Glenn
I like that guy.
Steve Gruber
Now, that's called a question. And he's a great reporter.
Brian Glenn
Actually, President Zelensky had a little bit
Steve Gruber

Is that a 5:00am shoot? I need some more of those. We're headed to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. We finally made it to Switzerland. Great state of Alaska here in Davos. There's the Wall. There's Mexico. That way at MetLife Stadium, waiting for President Trump. These two characters right here, we're in the DC Studio. Surprise stand over here in the corner.
Steve Gruber
In the corner.
Brian Glenn
This is the corner. It's first.
Steve Gruber
It's a good corner.
Bo Davidson
Good afternoon, everybody. Good to see you all.
Brian Glenn
To be here covering it is a blessing of a lifetime.
Steve Gruber
Brian, you got a second one?
Brian Glenn
Truck was right about everything. You got a forehead like this, it collects a lot of moisture and a lot of sun right here in Arizona. Keep up the dead. Thank you.
Jim Pfaff
Thanks.
Brian Glenn
Keep watching.
Colonel Rob Manus
Thank you very much.
Steve Gruber
Turn off the camera.
Brian Glenn
This is a time within our party. We have so many people that are so fractured on one side of the party. The other side of party, we're arguing about percentages. And debt ceilings and all this stuff. We're not our enemy. The left, the radical left, the person who shot Charlie Kirk, that's our enemy. This is a time, at least for me, to try to step back from the noise of the world and just really reflect on what you have. Your health, your family, your friends, your opportunities, and that you live in the greatest country in the world. I'm very thankful for Real America's Voice. I'm thankful for this network and its commitment to not only supporting the White House and supporting President Trump, but also supporting faith and freedom and family. That's what this network is all about. This past Sunday, sitting at home in Georgia, I decided that it's time to, and I'll use a MMA reference. It's time to leave the gloves in the ring and walk away
Steve Gruber
foreign.
Brian Glenn
The people of Real America's Voice, they are just not the owners of a conservative news outlet that love this country. They genuinely love their employees. They are one of the best companies. They are the best company that I've ever worked for.
Steve Gruber
There you have it, Brian. Glad I look back, what I would say was a remarkable run at the White House. You're also at some other really big events. Butler, Pennsylvania. I know that affected you. As you look back, what are the big moments for you? We got just a couple minutes here. I'm just curious, when you look back and remember this time in your life, what will you remember?
Brian Glenn
That's a good question. I'm just going to. You know, it's tough to listen to that video. I was watching it today. Two things. First, all the rallies, obviously all the rallies we did. But really, the night he won this past election, 2024, election night, I was down at headquarters of West Palm beach, very rewarding moment, knowing that how hard we have fought to get him elected. And then walking from the West Palm Beach Convention center to my hotel and walking at one o' clock in the morning with a live view by myself, Hot, tired, but hopeful. And then number two, without a doubt, Butler. I mean, Butler really changed a lot. And for me, it really was a point where I realized just how evil this world was and is now today. So those are my big takeaways. But it also just being here at the White House, working with people like you, Steve, you and Ivey and the whole team, you guys are pros. You, you've been here longer than I think anybody has, actually. You want to be like the, the OG of RAV is Steve Gruber. And it's just been a pleasure working with you.
Chuck Flynn
It's true.
Brian Glenn
I mean, it's Steve Gruber. It's been a pleasure working with you. My biggest takeaway is the people. That's my number one takeaway is the people at Real America's Voice. Love them.
Steve Gruber
Well, Brian, it's an honor for me to sign you off for the last time, my friend. We wish you the very best and wherever you go from here, maybe a book. Maybe there's a book in his future. Brian, God bless you and safe travels, my friend.
Brian Glenn
Yeah, best to you and Ivy. I appreciate it. God bless. Thanks, Steve.
Steve Gruber
All right, there you have Brian Glenn on down the road and that's too bad. Coming up after the break, the ceasefire deal between Iran and the US Is seemingly held after exchanging strikes earlier today. I'll discuss that in more detail coming up on America's Voice Live.

Well, President Trump says the cease fire with Iran still holding, the tensions in the state of Hormuz remain very high. The US Military says it intercepted attacks on three Navy ships and disabled a pair of Iranian tankers trying to break through the US Imposed blockade. They're disabled permanently, by the way. President Trump and says peace talks are still moving forward even after the exchanges of fire. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said the US Is now waiting for Iran's response to a new proposal aimed at ending the conflict for good. But with Iran's track record, I don't think they can be trusted. I don't think anybody trusts the Iranians. Join me to discuss retired U.S. air Force Colonel and the author of the new book what you can do about it, taking real action against corruption, radicalism and moral decay to save America. Colonel Rob Manus. Colonel, nice to see you today.
Colonel Rob Manus
Good to see you, Steve. Thanks for having me.
Steve Gruber
All right, your take, sitting there watching like the rest of us, the exchanges of fire. These two Iranian oil tankers, their engine rooms taken out. They're disabled. I don't know if you can fix that sort of thing, but I think they're disabled permanently. You're not going to run the blockade. The incoming missiles and drones to US Naval ships all neutralized. It doesn't seem Iran has much to offer in military firepower, but yet they continue to struggle and fight. Where are we?
Colonel Rob Manus
Well, where we're at is the president's trying to get him to some kind of deal. And if there's going to be one that's doable, it'll be this president. He's the only person I think that's alive today that's capable of getting that kind of deal done. But you know, as you mentioned, you cannot trust the Islamist Iranians. You cannot trust them because their ideology says that they can lie to achieve their goals. This is not like dealing with the Soviets, who had a European background, albeit Eastern, and are more similar in thinking to the West. This is Islamist Revolutionary Guard Corps and that's who controls this country. No matter what the political side is saying. They all have ties to the irgc. They all have ties to Islam and they are fundamental fanatics to Islam, Steve. So they can never, ever be trusted. And you know what? I'm seeing a lot of people saying this is making the president look weak because he's trying to achieve some kind of deal without killing more people. But I'll remind you, we disabled two Iranian takers trying to run the blockade. We Responded whenever they fire at us or on commercial shipping committing a war crime. I'll remind everybody every time they do that in international waters. We responded aggressively and forcefully because all these people understand is force and power through force. So we're still there. The President is still in this fight, so to speak, and he's determined to give them a chance to come to a peace deal. But it's got to be on our terms. You know, we have to get control. We, the United States, has to control the uranium, the enriched uranium, and their, Their capabilities, their facilities, their machinery, all of that. Sure. Before any deal can be agreed to. And I think that's where the President's going.
Steve Gruber
And Iran cannot control the Strait of Hormuz and hold the world hostage on that energy supply line. So that's part two of it. I want to shift gears, Colonel, because I've been watching some crazy videos, to say the least. They keep coming out, but today, a major drop on UFOs, military footage, footage from a variety of places. I see you got a smile on your face, but look, people take this seriously. And these are things I'm looking at some of this stuff, and I'm like, I have no idea what I'm looking at. How important is this?
Colonel Rob Manus
Well, I think it's important that the government is opening these files up because secrecy, especially in a republic like ours, only adds to the fire of conspiracy theories. And what's the government doing now? Questions and those kind of things. So there's no reason to keep this stuff classified. It should be open to the public whenever we come across something unusual like this. Look, I flew for over 30 years. I've flown around this globe multiple times in all types of conditions, including at night. I never came across any of this stuff, but apparently the Navy guys have, because it's usually the Navy fighter pilots off of carriers that are seeing it. I don't know if that has something to do with the environments they're always operating in over the. Over the seas or what, but the stuff is there. It shows actual items, and I look forward to seeing more of it. And if we do have our hands on some aliens. I was a commander at Kirtland Air Force Base. I had. I had mountain complexes on the base and got accused of hiding aliens up there. We didn't have any that I'm aware of unless some government agency I didn't know about was hiding, which could have been true. It's 53,000 acres of mountains and desert.
Steve Gruber
Yeah. Apollo 12 and Apollo 17 also apparently getting images of oddities shall I say? So I'm just going to put you on the spot. Colonel, what do you believe?
Colonel Rob Manus
I believe that people have the. That are civilizations that have the capability and if they have the capability to be here, they have the capability to keep it hidden from us to the maximum extent possible. But it's not completely possible. That's why you see these kinds of things. So, yeah.
Steve Gruber
If you're an alien civilization. If you're an alien civilization, why wouldn't you want to hang out with folks like us, Colonel? I mean, we're good folks. Come hang out.
Colonel Rob Manus
We are, but. We are. But we also have Islamists, Nazis, and they're probably not too sure about hanging out with those guys.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, I would agree with that. All right. Before we let you go, your book, tell folks about it and where they
Colonel Rob Manus
can get it, what you can do about it. The question that I always get in town halls, commanders calls in the military when we're talking about issues is, well, what can I do about that issue? What can I do about it? I didn't want to just write a biography like people have been asking me to do for about 10 years now, since I ran for office the first time against Bill Cassidy and Mary Landrieu in 2014. But I wanted to use my experiences from growing up as a military kid and a kid from western Tennessee and being in the military over 30 years myself, and the experiences that I've had there. I've had some interesting experiences. They make for good stories, but they also make for telling how I've learned to see the world and what I've learned in politics later in my life over the last 12 years. And here's what I've learned. The left out organizes us. They outraise us in money and they out advocate us. They know how to take action once they build the organization and raise the money. The cavalry is not coming to save you, folks. We are the cavalry. That's what this book is about. And it uses my life experiences to help tell that story and give people the tools as a way of thinking about that question, what can I do about it? Even down to identifying what the it is that gets you up in arms.
Steve Gruber
Well, Colonel, I wish you very well with this book. Sounds like an important read. I'm going to pick it up myself, sir. Thank you for being here. Nice to see you on a Friday.
Colonel Rob Manus
Thank you, Steve. Have a great one.
Steve Gruber
You too, my friend. All right. Coming up after the break, Michigan Democrats are in complete disarray after their convention votes sprawled into complete confusion. More than 300 votes cast that were coming from out of the country and elsewhere, Even the attorney General calling for a recount. We're going to sort it out in what it means for election integrity when Democrats can't even trust their own convention. Next. Well, Democrats right here in my home state of Michigan about to get a wake up call after their own convention spiraled into a complete disarray, triggering calls for a full recount after more than 300 votes were cast incorrectly or potentially illegally from out of the country. Even some of the votes came. Even Democratic Attorney General Dana Nestle is backing an audit, admitting votes, including her own, were improperly recorded. Can you imagine? The controversy stems from widespread material errors with reports of ineligible voters, ballots cast remotely outside the country in violation of party rules, and votes that were either miscounted or not counted at all. And no doubt that the situation raises serious concerns about election integrity when the Democrats who say voter fraud doesn't exist realize it exists right inside their own party. Of course, they would never admit that. Join me. Discuss the president of the Republican caucus, Jim Pfaff. Jim, how are you?
Jim Pfaff
I'm doing well, Steve.
Steve Gruber
All right, so you've been following this story and it is a complete goat rodeo. That's as polite as I can be on a Friday. The attorney general wants an audit. Casted votes came from outside the country. I thought you couldn't cast votes from outside the country. Jim, I'm, I'm completely confused here. Help me.
Jim Pfaff
You know, it's almost like there are two things that none of us would ever have thought of that really exist here. That electronic voting systems could be influenced outside the country and that Democrats don't know how to run elections in a, in a thoughtful way. Who'd have thought? You know, seriously, it's embarrassed. It should be very embarrassing for them because at every stage of what we do in this country, I mean, through our government, through our politics, which is central to our freedom, a proper political system and a proper government system is fundamentally necessary for a free republic. These are the things you take the most seriously. They're the most critical under any circumstances. And if, if they can't put together, I, I have been involved in many convention battles in party efforts throughout the years in various states that I've lived in, from Indiana to Colorado, anywhere I've been. And, and I've run some of these too. And I have to tell you, you've got to be on top of it. And they weren't. Not just were they not on top of it, figuring out that things weren't counted properly but they did not anticipate while they're calling out Republicans for questioning elections that they would do things right their own way. It just shows that these fallible systems, and they are human systems, must be taken care of. I mean, almost in an anal retentive way. And I don't, I think now that we also know that some of the irregularities that took place in 2020 are being investigated by the DOJ. I think this just puts a light on an issue that we had better deal with now before everything is lost.
Steve Gruber
I mean, it comes as no surprise. But here's what happened at the convention as a result of this chaos. The Democrats put up the most radical slate of candidates I've ever seen for Attorney General, for Secretary of State. They put some openly anti Semitic people in place to run for trustee in places like the University of Michigan. I mean, can you imagine an anti Semite on the board of the University of Michigan? These are the kind of things they're dealing with. It's absolutely outrageous and it puts a spotlight and underscores the fact that every time they tell us, oh, the elections are secure, they can't even get their own right. Last word to you there.
Jim Pfaff
Listen, every election process has its flaws and its faults. What we've been really good at here in the United States for 230 years of our 250 year history, until Democrats have been playing with the system since, is that even when there were flaws, we had the means to know that our elections were overall held securely and that when people would rig attempt to rig the system, it would be very localized and very simple to figure out. We've rarely had times when that stuff was in question. Maybe the 1960 presidential election with West Virginia and Chicago or you know, an exception, but that is rare. We have to have these things right. We need to make sure that Democrats get their noses rubbed in this because we've got to take make an aggressive step. And by the way, the last thing I'll say is Republicans have better pass the Save America Act. I mean, they better get dead serious because we're going to lose it all if we don't deal with this properly.
Steve Gruber
Jim, I agree with you. Good seeing you on this Friday. I think a lot of people agree with you as well, sir. Thank you for being here.
Jim Pfaff
Thanks, Steve. Have a great weekend.
Steve Gruber
You too, my friend. All right, let's talk Medicare because a lot of folks aren't getting the full story. Most Medicare agents push Medicare Advantage plans even when they're not right for you. And the question is why? Because that's where the money is for them. But seniors are paying the price. That's what makes chapter different. They walk you through original Medicare, Medigap, Medicare Advantage and Part D with the pros and cons all laid out so you can make the right call for your health needs, not somebody else's. Donna said her chapter advisor walked her through every option and explained everything in a way she could actually understand. Plus, they saved her thousands of dollars. If you're on Medicare or will be soon, call 843 Med Help to learn about enrollment options and find ways to save. It's free, it's quick, and they can review your options in under 20 minutes. Most people wish they'd called sooner. You should, too. Coming up after the break, a recent survey found that more than half of participants view the IRS in a negative way. I thought it would be a bit higher and even more say the agency should be held to a higher standard. I'll discuss that straight ahead. You know, the IRS just doesn't work very well. It operates often with unchecked power that targets hard working Americans. I know. I got an audit once. I did nothing wrong. I got money back from them. That was a nice win for me. But A survey of 1,000 US adults found that more than half of voting age Americans view IRS customer service negatively. More than 78% say the IRS should be held to higher standards and are alarmed by the IRS having the power to appraise unrealized tax gains. Among other things, Americans say the burden of proof should shift to the IRS and not just the taxpayer. Here to discuss is the CEO for the alliance for IRS Accountability, Chuck Flynn. Chuck, look, the IRS has pretty much unlimited power. That's never changed. Doesn't matter if it's a Democrat in the White House, a Republican in the White House. The IRS has all the power in the world. They can seize your property, seize your savings, seize your retirement and everything else. Where are we in this conversation? Can we make the irs, I don't know, more user friendly would be the term. Maybe,
Chuck Flynn
Steve, what it shows is that there's still a lot of trust that's lacking between the American people and the irs. And we haven't really made much headway on it. The irs, as you mentioned, a lot of targeting, a lot of harassment. American people do not feel comfortable when they interact with the IRS. 78% of them say they need to be held to a higher standard. They don't feel comfortable with the IRS snooping around in their lives, appraising the value of everything they own and taxing unrealized gains. There's a lot of work that has to be done, and I think, personally, some of it can start with the agenda that we have at the alliance for IRS Accountability.
Steve Gruber
All right, so how do we make it more accountable? How do we make it so that it's not just the tax rate? Look, the IRS sends you an audit letter in the mail. It's the worst day of your week and maybe a lot longer, trust me. Because that's. That's weeks and months of effort and digging stuff out and proving that you didn't do anything wrong, which is exactly, by the way, Chuck, what happened to me. They owed me $13,000 when the dust settled after a year. A year of, you know, heartburn and, you know, sleepless nights and everything else, because they're not particularly pleasant. And we've got to do better for the American taxpayer, don't we, Steve?
Chuck Flynn
The first thing that people need to feel like is that they're getting a fair shake from the irs, like the deck isn't stacked against them. And when you go to court against the irs, you have the burden of proof. The IRS makes the assessment. If you want to go to court, you have to prove that they're wrong. That's completely backwards. That's guilty until proven innocent. I was a prosecutor. The person should never, ever have the burden of proof against the government. And the second part of our agenda is that the IRS should pay when it loses in court. I think if you do those two things right away, that makes people feel like they're getting a fair shake, like they're being treated fairly and properly. It's about due process.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, due process being treated fairly. That's a big deal, Chuck, for everybody. And I think we can get there. But it needs some systemic changes. Give me your thoughts. What are a couple of things we could change to make it better for everybody. Last word to you right away.
Chuck Flynn
There's an issue we're dealing with right now on the. On the Office of Appeals. They haven't been very transparent. They're just calling up CPAs and saying, here's your hearing. It's got to start with the due process. And, Steve, I'll just be even more frank. It's got to start with the careers. There are too many career staffers at the irs. They need to reduce the workforce even more. They've had reductions of 25%. It needs to be lower because it's the careers there that have no accountability. They just do what they want and frankly, they don't mind because the American people don't matter to them.
Steve Gruber
Yeah, sad but true. Chuck, thank you for being here. Have a good weekend.
Chuck Flynn
Thanks, Steve.
Steve Gruber
All right. Where there are supply constraints on commodities, prices surge. You've seen this with fuel prices recently, the state of Hormuz being blockaded. You know what else is a commodity that's limited? Gold. They mine it out of the ground and when it's gone, it's gone. Governments can't just print more of it. And that's why everyone from central banks to savvy savers are diversifying with gold. If you've been thinking about it for years but still have not moved some of your savings into physical gold, well, my friends at Birchgold Group, who I trust ready to help you now. Let me give you some truth here. People think waking up tired or sore, overheated, just part of getting older. But let me tell you, it's not. What if it's what you're sleeping on? What if it's your mattress? Most people don't think about their mattress until pain forces them to. And what we're seeing is just okay. Sleep might actually be why you're waking up. Stiff, uncomfortable, or just exhausted? Exhausted. Join me to discuss as someone who has an answer for you, the CEO and founder of Ghostbed, Mark Warner. Mark, nice to see you today.
Mark Warner
Good to see you. Thanks for having Ghostbed on today.
Steve Gruber
I've been using Ghostbed for about two months now. Mark, you knew that. And I just want to share my report card. I got this Oura ring that my wife makes me wear, and it monitors my sleep. And for the last three nights, I get a crown. Anybody knows anything about that, you get a crown when you've had an exceptional night's sleep. I'm getting them night after night after night. Look, it changed everything for me to ghost bed. I love this. And you did this for your own health. That's why you started the company, isn't it?
Mark Warner
That's correct. I suffered from ultimately having three neck surgeries, and I couldn't find a pillow or a mattress that worked for my situation. So being the inventor I am and coming from a family of inventors from Werner Ladder. Werner, my dad invented the aluminum ladder and the fiberglass ladder. I invented my pillow and my mattress, and my wife and I started Ghostbed 25 years ago, and it's been a great benefit for everyone who's a Ghostbed customer and a great success story in our country.
Steve Gruber
Right? And look, a lot of people say, well, you know, I'm getting older. I wake up stiff. I don't sleep very well. I'm too hot. That's not because you're getting older. Your mattress might have gotten too old, but I don't think you did. I think there's a solution there. I think it's you and Ghostbed your thoughts.
Mark Warner
Yeah, sure. As you get older, your body changes and your mattress is getting older. But you need to look at your sleep setup, and you gotta take a look at the right kind of fit, the feel, the cooling technologies. Mattress technology has changed dramatically over the years, and it's more than likely it's a mattress issue and it's time for you to fix that. And the best time to fix it is kind of now.
Steve Gruber
Yeah. As you said, you're a family of inventors. And so when Ghostbed came out, and since that time you have a number of patents, one of the most important things that you've developed is a way to cool the bed even more. I can't sleep when I'm hot. I can't. A lot of people can't. So cooling technology is incredibly important, isn't it?
Mark Warner
Cooling technology is very important. Most people sleep warm and when your body temperature gets elevated, you're not going to fall asleep or stay asleep or you'll drain a lot of fluids from your person. So we developed phase change technology. So it goes on the top of the layer of the mattress, so it pulls away the heat from your person and just cools you down a couple degrees. And that's really all you need. We also have cooling technology in the fabrics for the top of the mattress cover or for the pillow or for our sheets. And that cooling is really makes a difference. And I always slept warm. So I leaned into cooling technology from day one. And everything we do at Ghostbed revolves around quality and cooling technology and of course, comfort.
Steve Gruber
Yeah. One of the problems is people are going to sit here and go, you know, I don't know how to choose a mattress. And it is confusing. You walk into a store where there's a bazillion things to choose from. I don't know. You make it easy. You basically run people through a questionnaire, say, here's what you need, here's what you need, here's what you need. And then you give them 101 days to decide if they like it or not. These are two very important components, aren't they?
Mark Warner
These are very important. So you can shop from home. And you have what we call the Marks quiz. So through all the data we have for all these years in AI, we were able to kind of figure out what's the right mattress for you. Firmness level, cooling spring, et cetera. And we get you to the right mattress. And the results speak for the accuracy of the the quiz because we have less than a 5% return rate for a mattress that you haven't even laid on yet. And then we complement that with 101 night sleep trial in your own home. So you try it for over three months. If it doesn't work for you, we will pick it up, give you your money back. Or we'll try to find a different mattress to substitute it to make it right for you. We're all about keeping the customer happy. And those are clearly two big things that we developed over the years. Between the sleep trial and the quiz, that has really won the direct to consumer game. You know, buying it without having to go into a mattress retail establishment.
Steve Gruber
Well, let me tell you, Mark, I'm happy. I am a satisfied customer. I'm not sending it back. Absolutely not. Really appreciate it. You want to know what makes America wonderful? You do today. Thank you to everyone for tuning in and sending me your emails. We're going to go into the mailbag right now with what makes America wonderful. And Alan Scott writes me from the Philippines. Nice to see you, Alan. We appreciate you watching A world away Steve, I see the same things you do concerning gas and diesel prices, but if you look at the Arab states in North Africa, their prices aren't even close to ours. My take those countries like ours produce and refine oil. They obviously do not sell to themselves at the world commodity price rather than a domestic commodity price. Why can't we do that? It appears we sell oil globally and domestically at the same price. That's why I feel the prices are so high. Well, somebody's making money. I saw that Shell Oil posted a profit of $7 billion for the first quarter, almost a billion dollars more than they expected. Gee, I'm shocked. Stephen Brett writes this. I wish people would stop calling the United States an experiment. It may have started that way, but it has been 250 years and our flag is still there. The rest of the world is failing, not us. We sent probes beyond our solar system, drove remote controlled vehicles around Mars, and put a half dozen or so men on the moon. We may still experiment, but I think we have proven ourselves. Experiment cheapens our value. It gives ammo to the enemies to say, let's try something else. This isn't working. It's only an experiment. Burn it down and rebuild it in garbage like that. I say the experiment is complete and that the data shows that our beliefs are correct. Our rights come from God, not government. They do not own the rain or the wind or the wildlife. God gave us those things to use and enjoy to experiment. Nice letter. Randall Neese writes, as I just watched you on rav's America Sunrise. You're a breath of fresh air. Well, thank you so much information in such a short segment. Your assessment of the trend to the takeover of AI is almost frightening when it comes to the Big Brother actions being implemented. I'm 72 and remember the warnings being spoken of back in the 60s and 70s. Those warnings are now a reality. You can't look at a product online without being flooded by commercials pushing that or similar items. All it takes is an accidental touch and it's like a toilet flushing a load of crap. Well, that's one way to put it. Keep up with your reporting and investigations. We need sound information rather than twisted ideologies. I say this to let you know that God has blessed you with a mission to inform the American public God bless you and your team. Well, we appreciate being able to go to the mailbag whenever possible. You can send me an email. We read them all and respond to as many as we can. SteveGruber.com SteveGruber.com Go there. Send me an email. I look forward to it. I look forward to talking to you. I look forward to having a great weekend. I hope you do too. It's a beautiful country you live in. Don't ever forget that. This is the best country on earth. Then I'll see you bright and early Monday morning with Daybreak. Ivy and I will be there to start your week. Never miss a day. We'll see you then.

[07:22–13:45]
“...This is a time, at least for me, to try to step back from the noise of the world and just really reflect on what you have. Your health, your family, your friends, your opportunities, and that you live in the greatest country in the world. ... It's time to leave the gloves in the ring and walk away.” (10:08)
[16:12–19:30]
“President Trump says the ceasefire with Iran still holding, though tension in the Strait of Hormuz remains very high.” (16:12)

[31:47–34:49]
“There are too many career staffers at the irs ... they just do what they want and frankly, they don't mind because the American people don't matter to them.” (34:08)
